Latest / Harder Than Life / The Pattern Most People Won't Admit About Their Chaos
Transcript
- 0:00Chronic migraine is 15 or more headache days a month, each lasting four hours or more. Botox, onabotulinum toxin A, prevents headaches in adults with chronic migraine before they start. It's not for those with 14 or fewer headache days a month. It prevents on average eight to nine headache days a month versus six to seven for placebo.
- 0:17Prescription Botox is injected by your doctor. Effects of Botox may spread hours to weeks after injection causing serious symptoms. Alert your doctor right away as difficulty swallowing, speaking, breathing, eye problems or muscle weakness can be signs of a life-threatening condition. Patients with these conditions before injection are at highest risk. Side effects may include allergic reactions, neck and injection site pain, fatigue and headache. Allergic reactions can include rash, welts, asthma symptoms and dizziness. Don't receive Botox if there's a skin infection.
- 0:42Tell your doctor your medical history, muscle or nerve conditions, including ALS Lou Gehrig's disease, myasthenia gravis or Lambert-Eaton syndrome, and medications, including botulinum toxins, as these may increase the risk of serious side effects. Why wait? Ask your doctor, visit BotoxChronicMigraine.com, or call 1-800-44-BOTOX to learn more. Happy Monday, Heart and Life Nation. It's Kelly Siegel, and this is The Hard Reset. Let's talk about something most people won't admit.
- 1:08Some of you are addicted to the struggle. I know I was. I still might be just a little bit. You don't know how to feel alive without that chaos. I know this addiction well. I lived it in chaos for years. Chaos in relationships. Chaos in finances. Chaos in my schedule. Chaos in my mind.
- 1:28And here's the sick part. When things were finally calm, I didn't know what to do. It felt boring. So I'd create problems just so I could fix them. I'd pick fights. I'd overcommit. I'd sabotage good things because peace felt unfamiliar. Remember, we choose the familiar misery over the unfamiliar comfort. Some of you only feel alive when something's on fire.
- 1:57You're used to crisis mode. It's your default. But let me tell you something. That's not strength. That's survival. You're not meant to live in chaos. You're not meant to thrive off of stress and adrenaline. You're not meant to manufacture struggle just to feel purpose. Sometimes the hardest healing is learning to function when life is stable. Remember,
- 2:23This is more than likely a childhood trauma response. It can be fixed. So learning to enjoy calm without sabotaging, learning to build instead of constantly rebuilding. Your nervous system isn't supposed to be redefined every day. Your relationships shouldn't feel like emotional roller coasters. Your life should not be one big fire drill.
- 2:49Peace isn't boring, as I said. It's maturity and it's mastery. And I'm gonna teach you how. But first, here's your hard reset. Stop chasing chaos like it's oxygen. You don't need to struggle to feel alive. It's a childhood trauma response. Get comfortable with stability. Get comfortable with calm.
- 3:18Because peace is not the absence of strength. It's the proof of it. So make sure to subscribe to YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or your favorite podcast platform. Share this with someone who's always living in crisis mode. Subscribe and let's reset how we live this week. Peace over chaos.
