6 Design Trends To Ditch For 2026
In this episode of the Dear Alice Interior Design Podcast, we’re breaking down 6 design trends to ditch for 2026—the looks that once felt fresh but are starting to feel flat, overdone, or disconnected from how people actually live.
From sterile show kitchens and neutral-only interiors to the fatigue around open-concept floor plans and overused trendy textures, we explain why these trends are losing relevance and what’s replacing them instead. This isn’t about chasing what’s “in”—it’s about designing homes that feel layered, livable, personal, and timeless.
Whether you’re building, remodeling…
