- 0:13Speaker 1: Hello you guys, Welcome back to another episode of the
- 0:16Speaker 1: Hawkerel Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kaylie, and this is
- 0:19Speaker 1: your weekly reminder that it's a new day, a new week,
- 0:23Speaker 1: a new mindset, and another day. I for you had
- 0:25Speaker 1: become the Hawkerel Energy you want to attract. Hello you guys,
- 0:29Speaker 1: Happy Wednesday. Hope you guys are all having an amazing
- 0:34Speaker 1: March so far as some of you may or may
- 0:38Speaker 1: not know, I started off March with a very interesting start.
- 0:44Speaker 1: I woke up with the flu on March third, and guys,
- 0:51Speaker 1: it was a really rough week. I can't even put
- 0:53Speaker 1: into words how rough of a week it was. Like, truly,
- 0:57Speaker 1: I have never been more sick in my life, Like
- 1:00Speaker 1: I've had COVID before, and this was nothing like COVID,
- 1:03Speaker 1: Like this was way worse. Like it was by far
- 1:08Speaker 1: the most sick I've ever been. I don't think I've
- 1:10Speaker 1: ever really gotten the flu, to be honest, Like I've
- 1:12Speaker 1: gotten a stomach flu, but I've never gotten the flu.
- 1:16Speaker 1: And this year, everyone keeps talking about how bad the
- 1:19Speaker 1: flu is and they weren't kidding, Like it really did
- 1:23Speaker 1: knock me out for literally six days. The first two
- 1:27Speaker 1: days I couldn't get out of my bed at all,
- 1:29Speaker 1: Like I did not eat for two days straight. I
- 1:32Speaker 1: physically could not get out of my bed, and I
- 1:34Speaker 1: had to force myself to get out of bed to
- 1:36Speaker 1: like feed the dog and put the dog outside, and
- 1:39Speaker 1: like I wanted to cry because I felt so nauseous
- 1:42Speaker 1: and so sick from doing it, and I had this
- 1:44Speaker 1: pounding headache. I can't even describe this headache. It basically
- 1:48Speaker 1: felt like a very intense like head cold slash migrain
- 1:52Speaker 1: on top of feeling flu symptoms and just being sick.
- 1:55Speaker 1: So the first two days were probably the roughest, and
- 1:58Speaker 1: then Zach ended up getting sick, and then we were
- 2:01Speaker 1: both just in bed on Thursday, like not leaving, just
- 2:05Speaker 1: watching friends and doing absolutely nothing. And then Friday came
- 2:10Speaker 1: around and I was actually able to get out of
- 2:12Speaker 1: bed and kind of like have a morning. Even though
- 2:16Speaker 1: that's still felt like a lot, it still was better,
- 2:18Speaker 1: like I didn't have as bad as a headache and
- 2:21Speaker 1: I could actually eat and have an appetite. And then
- 2:25Speaker 1: by the weekend again still not feeling one hundred percent
- 2:28Speaker 1: more so just like a bad cold where I just
- 2:30Speaker 1: had like no voice, a bad cough all that, but
- 2:34Speaker 1: we really just tried to stay low all weekend, Like
- 2:37Speaker 1: we did not leave the house. We didn't want to
- 2:39Speaker 1: get anyone sick obviously, so we were doing a lot
- 2:41Speaker 1: of like uber eats for groceries and just like getting
- 2:44Speaker 1: soups in us all that. So it was a very
- 2:48Speaker 1: chill week and weekend with the circumstances. I had actual
- 2:52Speaker 1: plans to help my best friend move into her new house.
- 2:55Speaker 1: I had to tell her I couldn't come just because
- 2:57Speaker 1: I didn't want to get her sick or her baby sick.
- 2:59Speaker 1: So all in all, it was a really rough start
- 3:03Speaker 1: to March. But I'm trying to just like keep my
- 3:06Speaker 1: head high and like not let that reflect this month,
- 3:10Speaker 1: and just knowing that we're going into a new season
- 3:13Speaker 1: this month is exciting. So I'm just trying to keep
- 3:14Speaker 1: my head high and see, you know, the positives throughout
- 3:18Speaker 1: the rest of the month.
- 3:20Speaker 2: I will say, going into this.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Week, today's Tuesday, I am still not feeling one hundred percent,
- 3:25Speaker 1: Like I don't want to make it seem like Instagram
- 3:27Speaker 1: seems like I'm so productive and all that, And yes,
- 3:30Speaker 1: i am getting back into my workout schedule and I'm
- 3:33Speaker 1: feeling really good obviously getting back into the swing of things,
- 3:35Speaker 1: but I am still having my own struggles with it,
- 3:39Speaker 1: you know, not being easy to get.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Back into a workout schedule.
- 3:42Speaker 1: I have been like very out of breath going to
- 3:45Speaker 1: these Qualities class, and there has been like a lot
- 3:47Speaker 1: of energy that I feel like I waste in the class, obviously,
- 3:50Speaker 1: and I come home and I feel a bit faded.
- 3:53Speaker 1: So it's not like I just jump backed into routine
- 3:55Speaker 1: and everything was fine and I feel great and all that.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Like that's not the case at all, And I'm sorry
- 3:59Speaker 1: if that seems that way through Instagram.
- 4:01Speaker 2: But the reality is is that, you know, I'm.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Trying to push myself to get into somewhat a normal
- 4:06Speaker 1: routine again and slowly.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Just get back into my workouts and all that.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Like I don't plan on going back to a spincoat
- 4:12Speaker 1: class for a bit, just because I don't think I
- 4:14Speaker 1: could do that intensive a cardio workout right now with
- 4:18Speaker 1: my lungs still not being like one hundred percent, and
- 4:22Speaker 1: like even talking for a long period of time here
- 4:24Speaker 1: on the podcast, I'm like, I don't know if I'm
- 4:26Speaker 1: gonna be able to get like a full thirty minutes
- 4:29Speaker 1: for this episode, just because I feel like I'm constantly
- 4:31Speaker 1: grabbing my water bottle just because my mouth is getting dry.
- 4:34Speaker 1: And anyways, all in all, I highly recommend getting the
- 4:38Speaker 1: flu shot or at least talking to your doctor about
- 4:40Speaker 1: getting it, or just honestly being really proactive in terms
- 4:44Speaker 1: of like being aware of your surroundings.
- 4:47Speaker 2: If you're not feeling well, you know.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Listen to your body, stay home, wash your hands, just
- 4:52Speaker 1: like be prepared as you can, just because there is
- 4:55Speaker 1: something really nasty going around and I do not wish
- 4:58Speaker 1: upon anyone getting this flu that I got. And anyways,
- 5:02Speaker 1: I'm feeling a lot better, That's all that matters. And
- 5:05Speaker 1: I'm trying to, yeah, continue to stay positive and not
- 5:08Speaker 1: be too hard on myself and know that it's okay
- 5:10Speaker 1: to just gradually get back into those swing of things
- 5:12Speaker 1: when it comes to routine, work, routine, all that. But anyways,
- 5:17Speaker 1: I did want to talk about some spring non negotiables
- 5:21Speaker 1: because we do go into a new season. I believe
- 5:24Speaker 1: it starts next week. Correct me if I'm wrong, but
- 5:28Speaker 1: I believe spring starts next week. It's actually been really
- 5:31Speaker 1: nice here in Ottawa these past few days. The snow
- 5:34Speaker 1: is finally starting to melt. I'm just praying we don't
- 5:36Speaker 1: have any more snow in the future forecast. The sun
- 5:40Speaker 1: has been out, it's been nice enough to actually go
- 5:43Speaker 1: outside and have a bit of a longer walk, so
- 5:45Speaker 1: Freddie's been loving the longer walks, which has been really
- 5:48Speaker 1: really nice. And I also just think for our mental
- 5:50Speaker 1: health it's so important to just get some fresh air
- 5:53Speaker 1: and actually physically enjoy being outside and not freezing your
- 5:56Speaker 1: ass off. It's just been yeah, really nice, and I
- 6:00Speaker 1: feel like that's been really helping me get out of
- 6:02Speaker 1: the house. With being sick for a long period of time,
- 6:04Speaker 1: I just feel like I haven't left the house much,
- 6:06Speaker 1: So just doing those little things like going for a walk,
- 6:09Speaker 1: going to my workout classes like really just helped me
- 6:12Speaker 1: out mentally and has been really really enjoyable. For these
- 6:16Speaker 1: spring non negotiables, I really want to talk about just
- 6:19Speaker 1: things that I've added into my routine, whether it's my
- 6:22Speaker 1: morning routine or night routine, workouts, you know, spring cleaning,
- 6:26Speaker 1: along with some spring trends that I think are going
- 6:29Speaker 1: to be happening for this year. So let's start out
- 6:32Speaker 1: with some things that I've added into my mornings. I
- 6:35Speaker 1: may or may have not talked about this in previous episodes.
- 6:37Speaker 1: I can't remember but one thing that I've actually been
- 6:40Speaker 1: doing every single morning, and I don't know if it's
- 6:42Speaker 1: because I'm starting to wake up even earlier than I
- 6:45Speaker 1: typically do. So my pilates studio ended up changing the
- 6:50Speaker 1: schedule last week and instead of a seven thirty start,
- 6:54Speaker 1: it's now a seven am start for all my pilates classes,
- 6:57Speaker 1: which doesn't sound terrible but usual. I was waking up
- 7:00Speaker 1: at six thirty consistently. Now I'm waking up at six am,
- 7:04Speaker 1: and obviously, with the spring forward, that whole time change
- 7:09Speaker 1: on Sunday, I hate that. I don't know if anyone
- 7:11Speaker 1: else agrees with that whole daylight savings thing.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Is just I think we should all.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Just keep at the same time and just not have
- 7:18Speaker 1: a fallback and not have a spring forward.
- 7:21Speaker 2: I freaking hate.
- 7:22Speaker 1: How they do that to us, because I feel like
- 7:24Speaker 1: it's just us getting back into a sleeping routine and
- 7:27Speaker 1: we have to train our bodies to go to bed
- 7:29Speaker 1: wake up at.
- 7:30Speaker 2: A specific time. It's just I don't know, I hate
- 7:32Speaker 2: it so much.
- 7:33Speaker 1: And I get it for like having it be lighter outside,
- 7:37Speaker 1: you know, by six or seven o'clock, but I don't
- 7:40Speaker 1: know about where you guys live, but for the past
- 7:43Speaker 1: few weeks it's actually been really light out before seven am,
- 7:47Speaker 1: so you know, I'd wake up at six thirty and
- 7:49Speaker 1: the sun would already be up, which obviously it makes
- 7:51Speaker 1: it really easy to wake up early when the sun
- 7:54Speaker 1: is already up. And now that we have this whole
- 7:57Speaker 1: spring forward whatever it is, now it's blockout again, which sucks.
- 8:02Speaker 2: So anyways, I will say I love.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Having it being light outside, you know, at like six
- 8:07Speaker 1: thirty or seven o'clock, but anyways, it just messes up
- 8:10Speaker 1: people's sleeping schedule, and I just hate retraining my body
- 8:14Speaker 1: to wake up at a specific time again. So anyways,
- 8:17Speaker 1: I guess what I'm trying to say is that the
- 8:18Speaker 1: whole time zone thing I hate. But no matter what,
- 8:22Speaker 1: I had to change my wake up time because of
- 8:25Speaker 1: the plate schedule being changed. So anyways, now I'm waking
- 8:27Speaker 1: up at six am at set of six thirty. So
- 8:30Speaker 1: I've been finding it very difficult with this whole transition.
- 8:35Speaker 1: So something that I've been doing every single morning to
- 8:37Speaker 1: kind of wake myself up, which I feel like has
- 8:39Speaker 1: been really helping, is I've been splashing cold water on
- 8:42Speaker 1: my face. I also see people do like ice dunks
- 8:45Speaker 1: with their face, which I could definitely try as well,
- 8:49Speaker 1: but I find it just like leans out my face
- 8:51Speaker 1: a bit too, which is a nice pro but it's
- 8:53Speaker 1: more so just to wake myself up in the morning.
- 8:56Speaker 1: But I find it's like very refreshing. I do not
- 8:59Speaker 1: clean my face with anything in the morning. I know
- 9:01Speaker 1: some people use a cleanser when they wake up, but
- 9:04Speaker 1: I find my face reacts when I overcleanse it. So
- 9:07Speaker 1: I just clean my face at night and in the morning,
- 9:10Speaker 1: I just splash some cold water on it, go to
- 9:13Speaker 1: my pilates class, take a shower, and then once I'm
- 9:16Speaker 1: done my shower, I ended up doing my skincare later
- 9:18Speaker 1: in the day. I don't put any sunscreen or anything
- 9:20Speaker 1: because the sun isn't even up by the time I
- 9:23Speaker 1: get to my plates class, and I'm not really like
- 9:26Speaker 1: outdoors at all. I'm going straight from my car to
- 9:29Speaker 1: the class, so I'm not really concerned about, you know,
- 9:32Speaker 1: not having sunscreen on my face when I'm outside. But anyways,
- 9:35Speaker 1: that's just something I've been doing a to wake myself up.
- 9:38Speaker 1: But b I feel like it's been like really just
- 9:40Speaker 1: helping like deep off my face and just kind of yeah,
- 9:43Speaker 1: I don't know, make my face just feel.
- 9:45Speaker 2: More alive in the morning.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Another thing I've been doing is after my pilates class.
- 9:51Speaker 1: I really miss walking outside for a long period of
- 9:54Speaker 1: time like I usually do in the summer. I usually
- 9:57Speaker 1: take Freddy for an hour walk every single morning, and
- 10:00Speaker 1: obviously because the weather has been still a hit and
- 10:03Speaker 1: Miss Zach got me a treadmill. I know I've talked
- 10:05Speaker 1: about this, but it's just something that I've included into
- 10:08Speaker 1: my routine and I've been doing this after pilates and
- 10:11Speaker 1: it's just been really nice just to like unfold a treadmill,
- 10:14Speaker 1: put it in my living room, watch a YouTube video edit,
- 10:17Speaker 1: get some work done on my phone. I'd love to
- 10:20Speaker 1: have like a stand up desk and be able to
- 10:22Speaker 1: actually get some stuff done on my computer while walking,
- 10:26Speaker 1: but that's not going to.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Be the case.
- 10:29Speaker 1: I do think my treadmill might actually fit on my
- 10:32Speaker 1: kitchen island, so I could stand and put my laptop
- 10:35Speaker 1: on my kitchen island and then put the treadmill kind
- 10:37Speaker 1: of underneath it. I haven't tried that yet, but I
- 10:39Speaker 1: think I might try that with my laptop because I
- 10:41Speaker 1: think that could work. But honestly, a lot of my
- 10:43Speaker 1: work is done off my phone versus my laptop. I
- 10:46Speaker 1: feel like I only use my laptop really when I'm
- 10:49Speaker 1: editing my YouTube videos or doing stuff for the podcast,
- 10:53Speaker 1: whereas everything else obviously is done through my phone. So
- 10:56Speaker 1: I feel like it's not a huge deal breaker, but
- 10:59Speaker 1: it could be something that I could try as using
- 11:02Speaker 1: it on the kitchen island. And then another thing I've
- 11:05Speaker 1: been using is sea moss gel. So I don't know
- 11:08Speaker 1: if you guys have seen the sea moss trend gel
- 11:10Speaker 1: on TikTok or Instagram, but essentially, seamoss gel is something
- 11:15Speaker 1: that's just supposed to help your overall health benefits. It's
- 11:17Speaker 1: supposed to help your skin, hair, and just other body
- 11:20Speaker 1: parts in general. It's supposed to help like moisturize your skin,
- 11:25Speaker 1: so there's a little hydration and there's some collagen in
- 11:28Speaker 1: it as well. It also simulates hair growth, which we love,
- 11:32Speaker 1: so all in all, it's just like a great thing
- 11:35Speaker 1: to have for your health benefits. So I've starting to
- 11:38Speaker 1: include this in my routine. I have this linked on
- 11:41Speaker 1: my LTK. I just got it from Amazon and I
- 11:44Speaker 1: think it was thirty dollars, but I still have a
- 11:48Speaker 1: decent amount left in the jar. I think it's supposed
- 11:49Speaker 1: to last you a full month, and I'm trying it
- 11:52Speaker 1: out because if you guys listened to a few episodes back, well,
- 11:58Speaker 1: actually a few months back, to be honest, I was
- 12:01Speaker 1: trying the whole coconut cult gang and it just like
- 12:06Speaker 1: didn't react.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Well with my system.
- 12:08Speaker 1: I don't know if I talked about that here, to
- 12:09Speaker 1: be honest, but the coconut colt didn't react well with
- 12:12Speaker 1: my system, and I was actually experiencing like hair shedding
- 12:16Speaker 1: versus hair growth, which obviously is not a good sign.
- 12:21Speaker 1: And coconut cult I also believe is dairy. I think
- 12:25Speaker 1: I don't think it's made with coconut yogurt.
- 12:27Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure it's dairy, but I don't know.
- 12:29Speaker 1: My skin wasn't reacting well with it either, so I
- 12:33Speaker 1: unfortunately decided to stop taking it just because my body
- 12:36Speaker 1: wasn't reacting well to the probiotic. So I recently got
- 12:41Speaker 1: this c MOS gel and I've been slowly trying to
- 12:43Speaker 1: add it into my routine, and I feel like my
- 12:45Speaker 1: skin's been liking it. I haven't had any issues, so
- 12:48Speaker 1: I'm really excited to be consistent with this and see
- 12:51Speaker 1: the benefits out of it. So that's something new that
- 12:54Speaker 1: I've added to my morning routine. As for my night routine,
- 12:58Speaker 1: something that I've been doing, I wouldn't say every night,
- 13:01Speaker 1: but like every second or third night. I've been loving
- 13:04Speaker 1: putting self tanner on my face at night. I find
- 13:06Speaker 1: it's a great way to boost my confidence, especially in
- 13:08Speaker 1: the morning because when I go to plates, I don't
- 13:10Speaker 1: put any makeup on. I strictly just wake up, splash
- 13:14Speaker 1: water in my face, brush my teeth, put on deyodurant,
- 13:17Speaker 1: put on my workout set, and I'm out the door.
- 13:19Speaker 1: So I find having the self tanner on my face.
- 13:22Speaker 1: I do it at night, I you know, get a
- 13:25Speaker 1: makeup brush, I contour the areas of my face. I
- 13:27Speaker 1: go to bed, I wake up and it literally looks
- 13:29Speaker 1: like I have like light makeup on, which we love.
- 13:33Speaker 2: It usually only.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Lasts like two to three days, though, because obviously when
- 13:37Speaker 1: you're washing your face at night or in the morning,
- 13:40Speaker 1: it starts to fade pretty quick. So I try and
- 13:42Speaker 1: do it every second or third day. But that's something
- 13:45Speaker 1: I've been obsessed with and I've been doing a lot,
- 13:48Speaker 1: which has been nice. Another thing I've been slowly getting into.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Which has also been something that's been very trendy on
- 13:54Speaker 1: social media is the castor oil patches. There's a lot
- 13:57Speaker 1: of benefits when it comes to castor oiled, when it
- 14:00Speaker 1: comes to you know, your menstrual cramps. It's great for
- 14:03Speaker 1: your immune system, joint pain, skin issues, constipation, whatever the
- 14:08Speaker 1: case may be. But what a lot of people are
- 14:10Speaker 1: using it for is more so it's supposed to help
- 14:13Speaker 1: with any bloating and just like detoxification of the liver.
- 14:18Speaker 1: So you add a small amount in your belly button
- 14:21Speaker 1: and then you put these patches over top, or you
- 14:23Speaker 1: could put a small drop in the patch and then
- 14:26Speaker 1: stick it onto your belly button. You sleep with it overnight,
- 14:28Speaker 1: you wake up the next morning and you notice that
- 14:30Speaker 1: your stomach isn't as inflamed. I don't know if people
- 14:35Speaker 1: should be doing this every single night. I haven't been
- 14:38Speaker 1: doing it every single night. I've been doing it like
- 14:40Speaker 1: every like you know, second or third night. But I
- 14:43Speaker 1: will say that I feel like I definitely feel less
- 14:45Speaker 1: bloated when I do use it. But yeah, that's just
- 14:49Speaker 1: something I've been also trying out. And you guys know,
- 14:53Speaker 1: I'm always just honest with you and what I'm trying
- 14:55Speaker 1: out because I do love to try out some of.
- 14:57Speaker 2: These things that I see on social media.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Just because obviously for my job and just like research purposes.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Is the way I say it.
- 15:06Speaker 1: I like to give you guys, like my honest feedback
- 15:08Speaker 1: on something if I think it's worth it or not.
- 15:10Speaker 1: So again, this is still very new to me, so
- 15:12Speaker 1: I don't have my honest opinion.
- 15:14Speaker 2: On this yet.
- 15:15Speaker 1: But yeah, one thing that I will say that I've been,
- 15:19Speaker 1: you know, in and out of conversation with you guys
- 15:21Speaker 1: about is the Neutrifhil hair vitamins. I've been taking this
- 15:26Speaker 1: consistently for almost two months now, and I will say
- 15:30Speaker 1: it does work extremely well. Hairshtting has gone down dramatically,
- 15:35Speaker 1: barely any to be honest. I'm starting to see some
- 15:38Speaker 1: growth in my scalp area and that's an area that
- 15:41Speaker 1: I think I struggle with the most when it comes
- 15:43Speaker 1: to just hair loss because of like slick back ponytails
- 15:47Speaker 1: and slick back looks in general. And I feel like
- 15:50Speaker 1: I'm finally seeing some regrowth and I think it's because
- 15:53Speaker 1: of taking the Nutrifil vitamins consistently. Because I'm not doing
- 15:56Speaker 1: anything else, I was doing hair oiling, which something that
- 16:00Speaker 1: I was, you know, trying to get into for this year.
- 16:02Speaker 1: But I've kind of been taking a break from that
- 16:04Speaker 1: because i feel like I'm doing it incorrectly and I
- 16:07Speaker 1: just need to get other products to stimulate it properly.
- 16:10Speaker 2: So anyways, I'm.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Kind of taking a break from that right now and
- 16:13Speaker 1: focusing just on the Nutrifil vitamins and taking that consistently.
- 16:17Speaker 1: So anyways, I personally think that's worth the hype, so
- 16:20Speaker 1: I will link the Nutrifil vitamins. I think I have
- 16:23Speaker 1: a discount code too for anyone that's been wanting to know,
- 16:26Speaker 1: just because I had a few of you guys actually
- 16:27Speaker 1: messaging me asking me to keep up with my honest
- 16:31Speaker 1: review on Nutrifol because it is by far the most
- 16:35Speaker 1: talked about product on social media when it comes to
- 16:38Speaker 1: a hair growth vitamin, and I've been wanting to try
- 16:41Speaker 1: it for a very long time. So when they wanted
- 16:43Speaker 1: to work with me, I was very stoked about it.
- 16:46Speaker 1: But yeah, so anyways, this is not an ad. This
- 16:48Speaker 1: is just I worked with them on Instagram a few
- 16:51Speaker 1: weeks ago and I was like, you know what, I
- 16:53Speaker 1: actually want to stick with this and take this, you know,
- 16:55Speaker 1: for the next six months. I have about six months
- 16:57Speaker 1: worth of vitamins, so I want to stick with it
- 16:59Speaker 1: and see how much other benefits I see from taking it.
- 17:02Speaker 1: But all in all, so far, I think it's worth
- 17:04Speaker 1: the height. The last thing I've been doing that I've
- 17:06Speaker 1: added back into my routine is the overnight sock blowouts.
- 17:10Speaker 1: I've been loving this to just have that natural blowout look.
- 17:15Speaker 1: I love waking up with a blowout in the morning.
- 17:17Speaker 1: I think everybody would love that, and it's just something
- 17:20Speaker 1: that allows me to put less heat on my hair
- 17:23Speaker 1: and it still looks like very put together and the
- 17:26Speaker 1: sock curls.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Guys, it's just so good. You need to try it.
- 17:29Speaker 1: If you haven't tried it, just search it on TikTok.
- 17:32Speaker 1: There's so many tutorials on there. But I actually prefer
- 17:35Speaker 1: the sock blowout over just like the heatless curler rod.
- 17:39Speaker 1: I feel like the heatless curler rod has more of
- 17:41Speaker 1: a tighter curl look, which I don't love on myself personally,
- 17:45Speaker 1: where I find the socks gives that loose, bouncy, blowout
- 17:50Speaker 1: curl look, which is what.
- 17:51Speaker 2: I want to achieve.
- 17:52Speaker 1: So I find the sock flow honestly gives me a
- 17:54Speaker 1: better blowout sometimes than my Dyson, So yeah, I just
- 17:58Speaker 1: have been loving.
- 17:59Speaker 2: That as well.
- 18:00Speaker 1: So my workout schedule is not really changing much going
- 18:04Speaker 1: into the spring, but I do try and aim to
- 18:06Speaker 1: work out five to six times a week. Obviously, last
- 18:09Speaker 1: week I did not work out once, so this week
- 18:12Speaker 1: it's been pretty difficult. I'm going on to day two
- 18:16Speaker 1: here for my workout schedule, and yeah, it's been rough,
- 18:21Speaker 1: but we're getting back into the swing of things. I'm
- 18:23Speaker 1: very sore, but that's what happens when you take.
- 18:26Speaker 2: A week off.
- 18:27Speaker 1: So I'm just trying to like not you know, cram
- 18:30Speaker 1: everything in at once. I'm just trying to like gradually,
- 18:33Speaker 1: you know, get into my workout schedule and not be
- 18:36Speaker 1: too tough of myself. But there's two things that I've
- 18:39Speaker 1: been wanting to try that have been things that I've
- 18:42Speaker 1: just been wanting to change or something that i want
- 18:44Speaker 1: to do before the summer starts. I've been thinking about
- 18:47Speaker 1: doing personal training once a week and include heavy lifting,
- 18:52Speaker 1: not super heavy lifting, but just like lifting in general,
- 18:55Speaker 1: lifting weights. So that's something I've been thinking about doing.
- 19:00Speaker 1: And then there's also a workout studio close to my
- 19:03Speaker 1: parents' place, and it's a heated class have heated bar classes,
- 19:07Speaker 1: and I believe just like a heated map pilates. So
- 19:11Speaker 1: that's something that I've been really wanting to include into
- 19:14Speaker 1: my routine. I love the fact of having a heated workout.
- 19:17Speaker 1: The place is called I think Oxygen, and right now
- 19:20Speaker 1: they're having like fifteen classes for fifteen dollars, which I'm like,
- 19:24Speaker 1: that is amazing. Fifteen dollars for fifteen classes. I will
- 19:28Speaker 1: gladly do that. So I think I'm going to try
- 19:31Speaker 1: that out starting next week. And this might just be
- 19:33Speaker 1: something that I try to do once or twice a week,
- 19:36Speaker 1: but it's something different, it's something new. I've also been
- 19:39Speaker 1: wanting to try Lagree. Everyone's been on me for Legree
- 19:43Speaker 1: on my YouTube because everyone says it's harder than Reformer.
- 19:47Speaker 2: I don't know, guys.
- 19:48Speaker 1: The Reformer place that I go to, they're not fucking around, Okay.
- 19:52Speaker 1: They just went to Toronto this past weekend to get
- 19:55Speaker 1: more training done and it's essentially called strength pilates that
- 20:00Speaker 1: they've been working on. So it's a very different form
- 20:02Speaker 1: of plates than the typical Reformer plates.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Instructor would teach you.
- 20:07Speaker 1: So it's been like very, very tough, and it's just
- 20:11Speaker 1: something that I wasn't expecting. But I'm loving it. I'm
- 20:14Speaker 1: loving the just the different forms of movement that we're
- 20:17Speaker 1: doing with the Reformer machine. But again, I'm not against
- 20:21Speaker 1: Lagree at all. I just really love Reformer pilates. I
- 20:25Speaker 1: also have a membership at Soma, and I don't really
- 20:27Speaker 1: want to cancel it, just because I do love the instructors,
- 20:30Speaker 1: the people, the vibe. Everything has just been really really great. However,
- 20:35Speaker 1: I have been wanting to try the new Lagree studio
- 20:38Speaker 1: in Stitzfeld. It's called a Framework, I believe, and yeah,
- 20:42Speaker 1: apparently it's really good. So that's something else that I've
- 20:44Speaker 1: been wanting to try out. So I might just try
- 20:46Speaker 1: out a few new things. I think it's important to
- 20:48Speaker 1: always just change things up and try new things when
- 20:52Speaker 1: you can, because if you're too consistent with the same thing,
- 20:55Speaker 1: either your body's going to get tired of it and
- 20:57Speaker 1: want the change, or you're just going to get bored
- 20:59Speaker 1: of doing it. And definitely not bored or anything like that.
- 21:02Speaker 1: I'm just trying to explore different things and listen to
- 21:05Speaker 1: my body and just yeah, try new things, Spring reset.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Spring cleaning is in full effect, and specifically here in
- 21:13Speaker 1: this household. With us being sick last week, this Sunday,
- 21:17Speaker 1: we really wanted to like take a deep dive in
- 21:21Speaker 1: our house and clean literally everything everything. We touched, everything
- 21:26Speaker 1: we sat on where like we need to clean everything.
- 21:28Speaker 1: We just felt like so disgusted, and to be honest,
- 21:32Speaker 1: I almost want to hire a cleaning lady just to
- 21:34Speaker 1: like really get in there with areas that we didn't.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Hit, so I might actually do that.
- 21:40Speaker 1: But Zach and I spent like four hours on Sunday,
- 21:43Speaker 1: which I don't even know how the energy came out
- 21:45Speaker 1: of us to do that after being sick, but we
- 21:48Speaker 1: somehow did it, and literally we deep cleaned the entire
- 21:51Speaker 1: house like I'm talking like we cleaned the backsplash. We
- 21:55Speaker 1: cleaned just like areas we never clean, which is so
- 21:59Speaker 1: important to do. It's not something that you need to do,
- 22:02Speaker 1: you know, every week, but it's important to do areas
- 22:05Speaker 1: like that where it's like the baseboards, the backsplash, the
- 22:08Speaker 1: coat closet.
- 22:09Speaker 2: We have this.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Tuperwork container drawer that I swear is never organized. I
- 22:13Speaker 1: don't know if anyone else has, like their lids and
- 22:16Speaker 1: containers all out of sorts, but I swear we organize it,
- 22:19Speaker 1: and then two weeks go by and the tupwork containers
- 22:22Speaker 1: are like all mismatched and just all cluttered everywhere. So anyways,
- 22:26Speaker 1: find areas in your home that you avoid doing, I
- 22:29Speaker 1: think that's the perfect time to do. So is with
- 22:32Speaker 1: spring being around the corner, it's time to tackle it,
- 22:35Speaker 1: you know. I think every three months it's important to
- 22:37Speaker 1: just kind of go back to the areas that, you know,
- 22:40Speaker 1: create a mess that you should probably declutter and just organize.
- 22:44Speaker 1: So that's something that we did on Sunday, and it
- 22:48Speaker 1: felt really really good, to be honest, Like it just
- 22:51Speaker 1: feels so much cleaner, and I yeah, I'm just really
- 22:54Speaker 1: enjoying my space right now knowing that everything's deep cleaned
- 22:58Speaker 1: and just looks so good. Another thing I love when
- 23:01Speaker 1: it comes to like spring resets is weekly flower runs.
- 23:05Speaker 1: I love going to the grocery store picking out my
- 23:08Speaker 1: own bouquet kind of just making a full arrangement and
- 23:12Speaker 1: then putting it in areas of my homes. So I
- 23:14Speaker 1: love having flowers in my office. I love having flowers
- 23:17Speaker 1: in my living room. It just like makes the space
- 23:20Speaker 1: feel so much brighter, and of course every girl loves
- 23:23Speaker 1: to have flowers, and I don't think we need to
- 23:25Speaker 1: rely on a man to buy us flowers. You can
- 23:27Speaker 1: buy your own flowers. So I've been buying bouquets for
- 23:31Speaker 1: the house on a weekly basis and it's just been
- 23:33Speaker 1: like very refreshing and I feel like it's something that
- 23:36Speaker 1: just kind of brings joy into my day when I
- 23:39Speaker 1: see it, and something that I love to do on
- 23:42Speaker 1: a weekly basis. I feel like flowers and spring are
- 23:44Speaker 1: just like the perfect combination, and I just feel like
- 23:47Speaker 1: when I think of spring, I think of flowers. So yeah,
- 23:50Speaker 1: I find it's such a nice little seasonal thing to
- 23:52Speaker 1: do during the spring season. Another thing that we really
- 23:55Speaker 1: make a non negotiable in this house is cleaning our
- 23:57Speaker 1: bedsheets once a week, every Sunday, strip our bed clean it,
- 24:02Speaker 1: all that, So that's something that we always do. But
- 24:05Speaker 1: this is just your reminder that if you've been cleaning
- 24:07Speaker 1: your bedding or anything like that, I highly recommend bringing
- 24:11Speaker 1: that back into your routine of cleaning it once a
- 24:13Speaker 1: week and then of course doing your weekly groceries. So
- 24:16Speaker 1: picking up some seasonal items could be nice. With being
- 24:19Speaker 1: in the spring season, I don't know if it's strawberry
- 24:21Speaker 1: season right now. It's definitely not, but the strawberries have
- 24:24Speaker 1: been hitting lately.
- 24:25Speaker 2: I don't know what.
- 24:26Speaker 1: It is, so random, but I don't know. The strawberries
- 24:29Speaker 1: have been really good lately. Oh my god, I just
- 24:32Speaker 1: searched it, and strawberries is literally a spring fruit. I
- 24:35Speaker 1: had no idea that makes a lot of sense why
- 24:37Speaker 1: the strawberries has been tasting so good, But I just
- 24:41Speaker 1: searched it, and it's rhubarb and strawberries that are spring fruits,
- 24:45Speaker 1: along with bananas, lemons, limes, pineapples, and then for produce
- 24:51Speaker 1: it's asparagus and radishes and peas and artichokes. I find
- 24:56Speaker 1: that so funny that I'm like, oh my god, like,
- 24:58Speaker 1: why are the strawberries hitting lately?
- 25:00Speaker 2: I don't know why.
- 25:00Speaker 1: I thought it was a summer fruit, but anyways, it's
- 25:03Speaker 1: a spring fruit. So that makes a lot of sense. So, yeah,
- 25:06Speaker 1: stock up on strawberries because they're really good right now.
- 25:10Speaker 1: But yeah, so doing your weekly grow trees and then
- 25:13Speaker 1: cleaning your makeup brushes, hair brushes. Another thing that I
- 25:17Speaker 1: always neglect to do is clean my dice in if
- 25:19Speaker 1: you don't have a dice in hair dryer, there is
- 25:22Speaker 1: a filter at the bottom that you do have to
- 25:24Speaker 1: clean ever so often, and I feel like I've been
- 25:27Speaker 1: neglecting to do that. So that's definitely something that I
- 25:30Speaker 1: need to make a priority this weekend, is cleaning my
- 25:32Speaker 1: makeup brushes, hair brushes.
- 25:34Speaker 2: And yeah, my dicin.
- 25:36Speaker 1: All Right, the last thing we're to talk about is
- 25:38Speaker 1: some spring trends when it comes to fashion, because I've
- 25:41Speaker 1: definitely been browsing a lot of websites just kind of
- 25:43Speaker 1: seeing what's trending right now, and there's been a few
- 25:45Speaker 1: things that I've seen that I've purchased for myself that
- 25:49Speaker 1: I think is going to be a good staple to
- 25:50Speaker 1: have this spring season. One specifically is trench coats, but
- 25:55Speaker 1: long trench coats are still in, but one thing that's
- 25:58Speaker 1: been like super trendy this year is short trench coats.
- 26:01Speaker 1: So I actually just purchased myself a short trench coat
- 26:04Speaker 1: and it's so cute. I find it very flattering. You
- 26:07Speaker 1: can get a lot of affordable options from Zara. Zara
- 26:10Speaker 1: is like one of my go to spots because I
- 26:12Speaker 1: find it's somewhat affordable, the quality is really good, and
- 26:15Speaker 1: they always have the most trendy and fashionable pieces from there,
- 26:20Speaker 1: so I did link. I believe a few on my
- 26:22Speaker 1: lck recently of some short trench coats, but trench coats
- 26:26Speaker 1: are definitely a big spring must have. Another thing is sneakers,
- 26:31Speaker 1: and not just any sneakers, but Suliman sneakers are very
- 26:35Speaker 1: very popular right now. It almost looks like a hiking shoe.
- 26:38Speaker 1: But I find them so stylish and they look so
- 26:41Speaker 1: good with like jeans or with a pair of Lulemon leggings.
- 26:45Speaker 1: You can wear them to workout classes, you can wear them,
- 26:48Speaker 1: you know, going to get coffee, running errands, whatever the
- 26:51Speaker 1: case may be. But I ordered a pair. They're so cute.
- 26:55Speaker 1: I'm obsessed with them. They have so many fun colors
- 26:58Speaker 1: as well. You can get them all off of the
- 27:00Speaker 1: Solomon website directly, but you can also get them from
- 27:03Speaker 1: third parties like Revolve, Little Burgundy. They just have a
- 27:08Speaker 1: few places. So if you search Sulomon sneakers on Google,
- 27:11Speaker 1: you'll see how cute they are. And yeah, you can
- 27:14Speaker 1: find some cute colors for the spring season. Speaking about
- 27:18Speaker 1: colors right now, I've been seeing a lot of pastel
- 27:21Speaker 1: colors when it comes to the spring season, so a
- 27:23Speaker 1: lot of like light pinks, light blues, light purple yellow,
- 27:27Speaker 1: all that I've been loving, like knit sweaters that are
- 27:30Speaker 1: in those fun colors. So like a baby pink knit
- 27:33Speaker 1: sweater with a pair of jeans and a pair of
- 27:35Speaker 1: sneakers with a trench coat, like looks very effortless but
- 27:39Speaker 1: still very chic and very much, you know, an output
- 27:42Speaker 1: I would wear for the spring season. And then speaking
- 27:45Speaker 1: about jeans, everyone's talking about skinny jeans making a comeback.
- 27:49Speaker 1: I have not, you know, made that transition yet, but
- 27:53Speaker 1: everyone has talked about it and said it's been the
- 27:56Speaker 1: best decision. So I'm like, do I need to go
- 27:58Speaker 1: find all my old skin jeans and try them on?
- 28:02Speaker 1: I don't know, But I was just getting on board
- 28:05Speaker 1: with the whole bootcut, you know, slim fitting jeans, and
- 28:09Speaker 1: now I'm like, Okay, now I need to get on
- 28:10Speaker 1: board with the skinny jeans. So obviously it's not for everyone,
- 28:13Speaker 1: but it's something that is making a comeback and I
- 28:16Speaker 1: feel like everyone's talking about and another thing that I
- 28:19Speaker 1: actually really want to purchase a pair. And I think
- 28:21Speaker 1: this will be super trendy this spring along with this summer.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Is Capris a good pair of black capris I think
- 28:28Speaker 1: is gorgeous or like a nice white pair. I think
- 28:32Speaker 1: that's going to be super trendy this summer. But I
- 28:35Speaker 1: think people are going to start including this into their
- 28:38Speaker 1: spring wardrobe as well for people who live in warmer climates.
- 28:42Speaker 1: And then the last thing, this is more of like
- 28:44Speaker 1: workout fashion pieces. But there's been a lot of cover
- 28:49Speaker 1: ups being shown again for workout tops, and right now
- 28:52Speaker 1: I'm obsessed with those workout wraptops. If you guys watch
- 28:56Speaker 1: my videos, you guys probably saw that I've been wearing
- 28:58Speaker 1: these two wrap tops literally twenty four to seven. I
- 29:01Speaker 1: wear the white one and the black one all the time.
- 29:04Speaker 1: Mine is from CSB, but I'm pretty sure you can
- 29:06Speaker 1: get them from Amazon. It's literally called the Ballerina wraptop
- 29:11Speaker 1: and it's so flattering on and I love how you
- 29:14Speaker 1: just have to cursscross it. It's a perfect cover up
- 29:17Speaker 1: to wear to pilates or a workout class, and I'm
- 29:21Speaker 1: literally wearing one right now.
- 29:22Speaker 2: As we speak.
- 29:23Speaker 1: To be honest, i just can't take it off. It's
- 29:25Speaker 1: so comfortable and it's so flattering on as well. I
- 29:28Speaker 1: love how you can still see the sports bra and
- 29:31Speaker 1: it's just very fashionable when it comes to yeah, like
- 29:36Speaker 1: pairing it with a workout set. I love fashion, but
- 29:39Speaker 1: all I wear is workout sets all day. But I
- 29:41Speaker 1: try and make my workout sets fashionable. So I feel
- 29:45Speaker 1: like I'm always like trying to look put together with
- 29:47Speaker 1: my workout sets during the day because I love workout
- 29:50Speaker 1: set fashion. I don't even know if that's a thing,
- 29:53Speaker 1: but I'm making it a thing, and that's something that
- 29:56Speaker 1: I love to do. I just love a slickback bunt
- 29:58Speaker 1: with a cute cover up workout set, throw on my
- 30:01Speaker 1: favorite pair of sunnis and my favorite pair sneakers, and
- 30:03Speaker 1: I literally will just wear that all day every day.
- 30:05Speaker 2: It's like that's like a dream. So yeah, I'm just a.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Workout set girl through and through, and I just love
- 30:12Speaker 1: wearing different color workout sets and just pairing a cover
- 30:15Speaker 1: up with it every single day. Right now, I've been
- 30:17Speaker 1: very much in the spring color palette when it comes
- 30:19Speaker 1: to my workout set. So I've been wearing a lot
- 30:21Speaker 1: of pink, a lot of baby blue, a lot of creams, yellows,
- 30:25Speaker 1: all that. I think it's all very flattering for the
- 30:28Speaker 1: spring season. But yeah, those are some spring non negotiables.
- 30:32Speaker 1: When it comes to trends, spring cleaning, workout schedule routines,
- 30:36Speaker 1: all that. I thought I would just share some things
- 30:38Speaker 1: that I'm doing this spring that are going to be
- 30:40Speaker 1: a non negotiable for me. But thank you guys so
- 30:43Speaker 1: much for listening to another episode. If you're new, definitely
- 30:46Speaker 1: make sure to follow at the Hawkrel Energy Instagram page.
