- 3:35Speaker 1: ways if that's mom because the phone. But then you're like, okay,
- 3:38Speaker 1: if that's my kid, my kid should be having that
- 3:39Speaker 1: iPhone right now at three years old. Watch that screen time, Yeah,
- 3:43Speaker 1: watch the screen time. But that's that's just a taste.
- 3:45Speaker 1: There's another one.
- 3:46Speaker 2: We also got a crop and comfort color as well,
- 3:49Speaker 2: like a more loose fitting crop.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Yeah, when you wear around in the night in the nighttime,
- 3:54Speaker 1: maybe get a little get a little comfortable before you
- 3:56Speaker 1: get in bed. Maybe you're laying on the couch, you
- 3:58Speaker 1: want to watch some TV, some soaps with your health.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Be a great shirt. Hey what if it's like real
- 4:03Speaker 2: cold outside, or maybe it's really hot outside and we're
- 4:07Speaker 2: blasting the ac so it's kind of cold inside. I
- 4:10Speaker 2: want to cozy up. I want to curl up next

- 5:10Speaker 1: We got to take care of them. There's a heart
- 5:12Speaker 1: and soul of the entire operation. Boys and the entire up.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Go ahead, No, they are they I just don't want
- 5:18Speaker 2: the moms to outdo the dads. It's all I'm saying, like,
- 5:21Speaker 2: this really is a challenge to the dads because I
- 5:23Speaker 2: see all these wifey sikos out there, all these mommies
- 5:27Speaker 2: that are getting their husband's step. It's constant, and you
- 5:31Speaker 2: know how the dad brain works. Boys, fellas, listen to me.
- 5:35Speaker 1: You just heard this SERMONI going back and forth, and
- 5:38Speaker 1: I've been the guy where it's like, yeah, I need
- 5:40Speaker 1: to get on it. This is a great idea, yes,
- 5:42Speaker 1: but dad's as far as my brain goes. And then
- 5:45Speaker 1: I continue to drive, I get to where I'm going.
- 5:47Speaker 1: You chop it up with the boys, you bust balls,
- 5:48Speaker 1: you forget all the things happen.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Yes, then you.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Get home, sweetart, when you're gonna take out the boxes.
- 5:53Speaker 1: It's long gone at that point. It's long gone at
- 5:56Speaker 1: that point out of your brain until you get.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Reminded and you see the shirt somewhere after the fact,
- 6:01Speaker 2: after Mother's Day, and you're like, damn it, I meant.
- 6:03Speaker 1: To buy her a shirt and I forgot to do it.
- 6:06Speaker 1: And now you're scrambling to try to get the Walgreens
- 6:08Speaker 1: to buy a little flower set in the front.
- 6:10Speaker 2: That's you know what I mean. More difficult too, dude.
- 6:12Speaker 2: And I'm I'm talking from a internet shopper myself. You
- 6:16Speaker 2: can literally go to bwtv dot com. You got the
- 6:18Speaker 2: Apple pay set up. Whatever it's sending, it's sent to
- 6:21Speaker 2: your house. It's done, it's over with. I just knocked
- 6:24Speaker 2: out of the frickin' part for my wife for Mother's Day. Yeah, yeah,
- 6:27Speaker 2: in like probably a minute. We got some good action
- 6:30Speaker 2: coming for Mother's Day. We did.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Wifies are coming on the show. They are rumored, this
- 6:35Speaker 1: is alleged. We're looking into it. We're looking into wife's
- 6:38Speaker 1: looking to come on the show. And also mark down
- 6:42Speaker 1: circle the date. Circle the date May thirtieth, Yes, sir,
- 6:47Speaker 1: circle the date May thirtieth. We've talked. We've talked about
- 6:50Speaker 1: Papa Team Fit. There's been the message boards, the discord,
- 6:54Speaker 1: the reddit's the Papa Team six community on x the
- 6:58Speaker 1: comments sections all over the place. There's talks of where
- 7:02Speaker 1: they should bar three and Papa Team Fit or should
- 7:05Speaker 1: bar three? The wives and the husbands do something together somewhere.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Maybe it's an outdoor class, maybe it's indoor. Who knows all.
- 7:11Speaker 1: We're going to tell you right now. Circle the dates
- 7:14Speaker 1: May thirtieth, May, Tennessee. Circle the dates, May thirtieth, Nashville, Tennessee.
- 7:19Speaker 2: It will involve pt siccos and empty siccos. That's all
- 7:22Speaker 2: I'm going to say about that. Yeah, correct, Yeah, correct, correct.
- 7:27Speaker 2: It's a pot.
- 7:28Speaker 1: We embrace the moms man. We embrace the matter of fact.
- 7:30Speaker 1: I have a comment right here that moms will love
- 7:32Speaker 1: to hear.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Well before you read that, how did they get on
- 7:35Speaker 2: the show for us to read it?

- 8:18Speaker 1: I'm about to read one now from Ryan Hammett on
- 8:21Speaker 1: Spotify Spotify. We love Spotify comments, dive in on them,
- 8:25Speaker 1: and this is for talking about Mother's Day. This right here,
- 8:29Speaker 1: moms are gonna love. They're gonna love to.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Hear this comment. Fucking here.
- 8:32Speaker 1: We love Spotify, Ryan Hammett. This was six days ago
- 8:35Speaker 1: on Spotify. I know it's all for laughs and jokes,
- 8:40Speaker 1: but can we please not act like our wives are
- 8:42Speaker 1: the boss or in charge of us. I'm not saying
- 8:46Speaker 1: let's talk shit about them, but they're not immune for
- 8:49Speaker 1: being wrong or messing up something. They're not They're not
- 8:53Speaker 1: immune from being wrong or messing something up, just like us.
- 8:57Speaker 1: If you disagree with her about how something went, then
- 9:00Speaker 1: just say it. I'm thirty three, I've been married for
- 9:04Speaker 1: ten years, been married in ten years in November, been
- 9:08Speaker 1: together for fifteen years since we were seventeen. Sorry for
- 9:12Speaker 1: the wrong, the long rant laugh out loud, but I hate.
- 9:16Speaker 2: The dumb husband dad trope.
- 9:19Speaker 1: If we're being honest, it ain't us laugh out loud.
- 9:26Speaker 2: I'm not an idiot. Does he know our wives listening
- 9:29Speaker 2: to the show? I appreciate him so much, But am
- 9:36Speaker 2: I really not an idiot? Like? Is that true? You're
- 9:41Speaker 2: saying did he really write that? No? No, like he's saying,
- 9:44Speaker 2: we're not idiots. Yeah, we have it all figured out.
- 9:48Speaker 1: I guess we come off as the dumb husband dad,
- 9:50Speaker 1: like we're doing a trope and let's stop joking and
- 9:54Speaker 1: laughing and acting like our wives of the boss. And
- 9:55Speaker 1: he not tuned in last week and we saw Jilly
- 9:57Speaker 1: being on the phone. We know who runs the sho ship.
- 10:00Speaker 1: We know when we know anything that comes out of
- 10:03Speaker 1: my household when we do an afterpod report, we know
- 10:05Speaker 1: who runs the ship.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Yeah it's mama bear, buddy. I'll take you down to
- 10:10Speaker 2: my My house is just down the street, and we
- 10:12Speaker 2: can go look and see the Christmas tree that my
- 10:15Speaker 2: wife told me to throw away three years ago. That's
- 10:17Speaker 2: sitting in my trash cans right now because I didn't
- 10:19Speaker 2: take the trash out. Yeah, and wife, he's gonna love
- 10:22Speaker 2: seeing that. Yeah. I don't know what this guy's thinking.
- 10:27Speaker 2: I don't know. Would you when you write a comment
- 10:29Speaker 2: like that, are you showing? Are you showing? Wifey? Hey Sweeter,
- 10:32Speaker 2: I just dropped the comment. I'm sick of these boys.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Hey, would you agree that these guys laugh and joke
- 10:37Speaker 1: too much about you guys acting like you're in charge
- 10:39Speaker 1: of us?
- 10:42Speaker 2: Isn't that funny? You think you're the boss of the house.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Go do the dishes? Would you beat the dogs? Hey?
- 10:50Speaker 2: When's the game on? When's how you give me the
- 10:54Speaker 2: give me the TV digest? What was what was the
- 10:57Speaker 2: the cable thing? Was it the TV diejeest? I don't know.
- 11:00Speaker 1: I'm just smiling and pretending to play along. Wins what
- 11:06Speaker 1: on Hannity? What's Hannity? It was a It was a
- 11:09Speaker 1: political show that my mom hated. My dad would just
- 11:12Speaker 1: blast it. It was on Fox. We missed my mama.
- 11:19Speaker 2: The problem is and look, I'll just talk from my
- 11:21Speaker 2: own experience here. Yeah. Yeah, because charl and I like,
- 11:24Speaker 2: we're we both number one. Char my wife and I
- 11:28Speaker 2: we have we have a very strong relationship, believe it
- 11:30Speaker 2: or not, very much respect. We both know we're at
- 11:33Speaker 2: the top of the food chain in the house.
- 11:35Speaker 1: But if you're talking, if he's talking about jokes, and
- 11:37Speaker 1: let's not act like our wives or the boss, we
- 11:39Speaker 1: are in charge of us, Charlo, sit there and tell
- 11:41Speaker 1: you like it will make a lot of his own decisions.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Will. Will does a lot of things that lead the
- 11:44Speaker 2: way for the family. Tell them, well, she does as well.
- 11:47Speaker 2: But when you're.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Talking, when you get all the way into the box
- 11:50Speaker 1: of it all, if you're going to be somebody that's
- 11:54Speaker 1: that is in charge, I'm not because I'm like the
- 11:58Speaker 1: most forgetful.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Like things that we think about. We talk about the
- 12:02Speaker 2: mental load.
- 12:02Speaker 1: All the time that we as dads and men have
- 12:06Speaker 1: to like teach ourselves and learn through in real time
- 12:10Speaker 1: because we're like we got dog brain at times. Yeah
- 12:14Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Oh we got to bring
- 12:16Speaker 1: this with us. Oh we got to pack that. Oh
- 12:18Speaker 1: we gotta do this. Oh we got to think about
- 12:19Speaker 1: this when we're going on a trip. Oh this is
- 12:22Speaker 1: the schedule this week. Oh no, I didn't think about it.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Oh uh did I get y'ad care? Oh I didn't
- 12:25Speaker 1: get child care. Like there's so many things it's like, oh,
- 12:30Speaker 1: mom's the boss. Hey, not only mom's not the boss,
- 12:33Speaker 1: Like she tells you what to do and where to
- 12:35Speaker 1: be at in all those things.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Yeah, your wife, happy life.
- 12:38Speaker 1: But the respect factor of knowing, hey, the mom runs
- 12:46Speaker 1: the ship. They're the heart and soul of the team.
- 12:48Speaker 2: They're the heart and soul of the team, and is
- 12:51Speaker 2: in our mission statement. We are not experts. And if
- 12:55Speaker 2: you are tuning into this pod, and I'll speak for
- 12:57Speaker 2: myself and you can go next if you want. If
- 13:00Speaker 2: you tune into this pod and you expect me to
- 13:03Speaker 2: have glasses on like this, and I'm putting you on
- 13:06Speaker 2: some crazy good dad game that I know is fact,
- 13:11Speaker 2: so that you could go tell your buddies, Well, actually
- 13:13Speaker 2: we don't do that with our kids, you know, Sherman
- 13:16Speaker 2: Young podcaster, he believes that you should be doing this
- 13:20Speaker 2: with your child. You're in big trouble, buddy. No, I
- 13:23Speaker 2: think you're seeing it all wrong. Will and sure them.
- 13:27Speaker 1: They spoke about this idea thirty minute coupons for screen time.
- 13:30Speaker 1: So if you're going over thirty minutes, they do six
- 13:33Speaker 1: a week. I see you have eight there and they
- 13:34Speaker 1: say forty five minutes at a time. That's bad for
- 13:36Speaker 1: your child's brain and their development.
- 13:38Speaker 2: You're doing it wrong. Oh, you did not receive the
- 13:41Speaker 2: latio on your birthday? You know. I actually listened to
- 13:44Speaker 2: a podcast and ends out some free coupons.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Your wife's not giving you the gluck Luck nine thousand
- 13:51Speaker 1: on your birthday. It's steak and blowjob Day, and you're
- 13:55Speaker 1: not getting any of that on steak and blowjob Day.
- 13:58Speaker 1: I listen to this podcast and it's can blow jop
- 14:00Speaker 1: day or die?
- 14:04Speaker 2: You know here said it's funny that you bring up
- 14:07Speaker 2: that you haven't gotten laid in months. Listen to these
- 14:10Speaker 2: two intellectuals, Will and Sherman all that they talk about
- 14:15Speaker 2: shockwave maxing. I've been putting a bow on it maxing lately.
- 14:22Speaker 2: It's actually been really great for my marriage. Uh. But yeah,
- 14:26Speaker 2: that's all to say, that's not what the show.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Is or like in my brain knowing, Like we talk
- 14:35Speaker 1: about all the things dad life like learns, wins, losses,
- 14:40Speaker 1: things that we're just we're figuring it out as we go,
- 14:42Speaker 1: as we fuck it up along the way. A lot
- 14:45Speaker 1: of that is the partnership, like with your wife yep,
- 14:49Speaker 1: and learning about all the things that we need to
- 14:50Speaker 1: do to be better partners for them along with us,
- 14:54Speaker 1: like thinking about ourself and things about that we need.
- 14:56Speaker 1: How we can communicate these things with the wife versus
- 14:59Speaker 1: like simply hey, I'm the breadwinner of the household. These
- 15:04Speaker 1: are all these things that you do with the mental
- 15:07Speaker 1: load as a mom or as a wife, like Yeah,
- 15:09Speaker 1: that's the expectation because I'm the breadwinner of the household.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Yeah, does that make sense?
- 15:14Speaker 1: We're not back in decades ago where you have a
- 15:18Speaker 1: few channels on TV, your wife's at home all day
- 15:21Speaker 1: while you're out at work. You come home and everything's
- 15:23Speaker 1: expected to be done, clean, cooked, all that stuff. And
- 15:27Speaker 1: there's more access now, there's more things where we've developed
- 15:31Speaker 1: and grown and evolved over time to where it doesn't
- 15:34Speaker 1: work like that anymore.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:36Speaker 1: And then if they get out of line, you might
- 15:38Speaker 1: give them a backhand. And then if they think about
- 15:42Speaker 1: going and telling their friends outside of the house, you
- 15:44Speaker 1: fear monger them in that side the house to where
- 15:46Speaker 1: they don't talk.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Then they're trapped in this eco, you know what I mean.
- 15:50Speaker 1: They're trapped in this operation, this machine that just isn't healthy.
- 15:54Speaker 2: You know a lot of your friends, Barbara, they're all bitches.
- 15:57Speaker 2: You know that, Right when you acting ditchy, that's when
- 16:01Speaker 2: I know you've been hanging out with them. Yeah. Yeah, Oh,
- 16:03Speaker 2: you want to work where you've been here? Now? You've
- 16:05Speaker 2: been hearing that the hair dress. You've been hearing that
- 16:08Speaker 2: the hairdress. You go too, Huh. Julie's working now huh,
- 16:14Speaker 2: well you gonna be working. Well, who's gonna hire you?
- 16:19Speaker 2: Good gud dude? Ted Ted the Show, By the way,
- 16:22Speaker 2: have you been watching that at all? Uh? Ted the movie? No,
- 16:26Speaker 2: Ted the Show on Peacock. Have you been watching like
- 16:29Speaker 2: a new series, Ted Lasso, Love Me Some Ted Lasso.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Ted the Show maybe better than both films. It is
- 16:38Speaker 2: with the bear, dude, the dad. It's with the bear.
- 16:42Speaker 2: The Mark Wahlberg character is in high school, so it's
- 16:46Speaker 2: like back in the eighties early nineties. And dude, it
- 16:49Speaker 2: is really good television. And that dad in that show
- 16:53Speaker 2: is literally that character that we've been playing. I'm watching
- 16:57Speaker 2: the Ted series, I'm like, oh my god, like he's yeah,
- 17:01Speaker 2: that's that's who we're playing. Anybody that's a watcher of
- 17:05Speaker 2: that show will know when I'm talking.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Okay, okay, Ted's in the Jet, Ted's in the chat.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Ted's in the comments. Yeah, Ted, throw a little Teddy
- 17:12Speaker 1: bearry in there.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Oh hey there you care? Yeah?
- 17:16Speaker 1: Yeah, matter of fact, I just as I looked over
- 17:19Speaker 1: for the comments, I saw this Jearsey Oh yeah yeah yeah.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Chef and I had an incredible visit on Saturday. We
- 17:23Speaker 1: went to First Form headquarters in Saint Louis, Missouri, got
- 17:27Speaker 1: to do some speaking there.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Will you break down that hold? Please tell that whole thing,
- 17:31Speaker 2: because that seemed like a really, really cool moment for
- 17:34Speaker 2: you for a multitude of reasons.
- 17:36Speaker 1: So Ben Newman was a sports psychologist mentor of mine
- 17:42Speaker 1: early in my NFL career. I found him over social media.
- 17:46Speaker 1: I DMed him to see if he would work with
- 17:47Speaker 1: me on sports psychology and the mental side of everything,
- 17:50Speaker 1: like as I prepare for training camp, as I prepare
- 17:53Speaker 1: for all these things, like controlling what I can control
- 17:54Speaker 1: and not getting caught up, and if I don't make
- 17:56Speaker 1: this team, there's thirty one other teams that I can make.
- 17:58Speaker 1: To where you start doubting I wanted to work with
- 18:00Speaker 1: a sports psychology or like a performance coach, because he's
- 18:03Speaker 1: not a psychologist, say he doesn't have his degree in psychology.
- 18:06Speaker 1: I don't think Ben, If you do, my apologies, yeah yeah, yeah.
- 18:10Speaker 1: And we would meet halfway between Saint Louis where he was, Clayton, Missouri,
- 18:14Speaker 1: and Bonterra. We'd meet in Arnold at a Panera or
- 18:18Speaker 1: Saint Louis bredco every Monday in the offseason during the summertime.
- 18:22Speaker 1: As I'm preparing for training camp and he takes me
- 18:24Speaker 1: through exercises, worksheets stuff to write down like law of attraction, things, goals,
- 18:28Speaker 1: how I need to operate on a routine from a
- 18:30Speaker 1: daily basis, like getting it all down and mapped out
- 18:33Speaker 1: so I could practically have something to review and look
- 18:36Speaker 1: at every day and reflect on it every day, like
- 18:38Speaker 1: when I'm going about my unrequired work or going about
- 18:41Speaker 1: my prize fighter day as he would call it. That
- 18:44Speaker 1: was over a decade ago. That was about thirteen years ago.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Over time, Ben worked with me a lot throughout my career.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Ben is now Ben Newman is now big in the
- 18:53Speaker 1: sports performance world to where he's worked with. He had
- 18:55Speaker 1: a job with Nebraska last year. He's worked with Sabin
- 18:58Speaker 1: at Alabama, k State Coach Climban when he was at
- 19:01Speaker 1: North Dakota State, Wentwich in Kansas State. Yeah, he's worked
- 19:04Speaker 1: with Coach Rule. Coach Rule was there. He speaks with
- 19:06Speaker 1: like he on the panel on this one. So now
- 19:09Speaker 1: full circle. Over the weekend Ben hosted an unrequired event,
- 19:14Speaker 1: were two two hundred and fifty like high level thinkers
- 19:17Speaker 1: in the networks of all these people that got together
- 19:21Speaker 1: were there listening to keynotes I was one of the
- 19:24Speaker 1: five or six keynotes. It was me Coach Rule, Coach, Climban,
- 19:28Speaker 1: Coach White who is the head coach of the Indiana
- 19:30Speaker 1: Fever in Canton, Clark Ray Lewis, and Sal Forcella at
- 19:34Speaker 1: First Form South Forsella is the CEO at First Form.
- 19:37Speaker 1: South for Sella is a dad I love to follow
- 19:40Speaker 1: business wise and fatherhood wise on Instagram and we've been
- 19:44Speaker 1: boys since I went on the mf CEO podcast with
- 19:47Speaker 1: Andy Forsella back in twenty fifteen. So it's a big
- 19:50Speaker 1: full circle moment for a lot of people that were
- 19:52Speaker 1: there and he and your Boy.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Just really quick. The Forsella has then put on this event.
- 19:56Speaker 2: Your Boy did Ben put on the event?
- 19:58Speaker 1: The Forcellos allowed him to host there because again the
- 20:01Speaker 1: network and everything else like they are super tight. Ben
- 20:04Speaker 1: has done work with First Form Okay, so people will
- 20:07Speaker 1: hire Ben to come in and work with their teams,
- 20:09Speaker 1: work with their high level teams. He'll have his own
- 20:12Speaker 1: boot camp events to where it's days at a time.
- 20:14Speaker 1: He's built an incredible business. He's done incredible things and
- 20:17Speaker 1: I've been around his family and him for thirteen years.
- 20:20Speaker 2: He's like a big brother.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Of mine and I've spoke with him on a few
- 20:23Speaker 1: different occasions, like back when I played with Washington. We
- 20:27Speaker 1: would go to different spots, whether it be in Nebraska,
- 20:29Speaker 1: we spoke in Vancouver, or we spoke in Seattle together,
- 20:32Speaker 1: we spoke in Vegas together to where he's like, he's
- 20:35Speaker 1: like brought me with him on a few things to
- 20:37Speaker 1: talk about my undrafted story and everything else. So he
- 20:40Speaker 1: wanted me to be at this one because he wanted
- 20:43Speaker 1: to talk about Busting with the Boys. I sat down
- 20:45Speaker 1: with him and sal Forsella. We did about thirty minutes,
- 20:48Speaker 1: just kind of like a podcast style, each sitting down
- 20:50Speaker 1: in chairs. I did a thirty minute keynote to where
- 20:53Speaker 1: I talked about like creating evidence and a couple of
- 20:56Speaker 1: my pivotal stories in my undrafted careerworks that I've used
- 21:01Speaker 1: that allowed that helped me have a nine year career
- 21:03Speaker 1: in the NFL, and that I used frameworks that I
- 21:06Speaker 1: used to establish Busting with the Boys for the dads
- 21:10Speaker 1: now as well. And so I got to speak on
- 21:12Speaker 1: that for thirty minutes, and each keynote went thirty minutes,
- 21:15Speaker 1: and then I he wanted me to introduce Ray Lewis,
- 21:18Speaker 1: because Ray Lewis indirectly affected my career in my position
- 21:23Speaker 1: as a linebacker. As long as I can remember, I mean,
- 21:26Speaker 1: I've consumed every piece of Ray Lewis content because I've
- 21:28Speaker 1: always been a YouTube listen to podcasts, listen to speakers like,
- 21:32Speaker 1: listen to seminars. I've just always been fascinated with how
- 21:35Speaker 1: people think, if they're established in a world to where
- 21:39Speaker 1: I want to be at one one day, and so
- 21:42Speaker 1: it was sick that I got to go and be
- 21:45Speaker 1: on a panel with all these guys that I know,
- 21:48Speaker 1: like Coach Rule obviously go biggread Nebraska. That's self explained
- 21:51Speaker 1: to US coach Climban. Coach Climban had me out to
- 21:54Speaker 1: North Dakota State during their national title runs. I went
- 21:58Speaker 1: out with Ben because Ben did a lot of work
- 22:00Speaker 1: with him.
- 22:00Speaker 2: At the end those days.
- 22:01Speaker 1: But I went out and spoke to the team and
- 22:03Speaker 1: did a lot of whiteboard work as far as like
- 22:05Speaker 1: I had the defense with me and on how I
- 22:07Speaker 1: watched film, how I studied the game, like things that
- 22:11Speaker 1: I could give them to where you know, I really
- 22:13Speaker 1: got to know.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Coach Climbing is he is he as much of a
- 22:16Speaker 2: stud as he coached Climban.
- 22:18Speaker 3: He is awesome.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Good as it fucking gets me. He seems like it.
- 22:22Speaker 2: I hate to sidetrack character, integrity, what he's about, Dude,
- 22:27Speaker 2: I love coach Climbing. It was really sad when he retired. Yeah,
- 22:30Speaker 2: really sad.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, I know he dude, he is a stud.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Coach White I met on the flight to Saint Louis
- 22:38Speaker 1: because she was on the plane with us flying out there.
- 22:40Speaker 1: So we got to know Coach White, the Fever coach,
- 22:43Speaker 1: the Fever coach, the head coach of the Indiana Fever.
- 22:46Speaker 2: South Forcella.
- 22:47Speaker 1: I've had a history with him about a decade now
- 22:48Speaker 1: because again I was on the nf CEO when I
- 22:51Speaker 1: was playing and got to know them, their Missouri Boys,
- 22:53Speaker 1: and then over time we've just stayed in touch. South
- 22:55Speaker 1: Forcella helped me when I was starting to build Busting
- 22:59Speaker 1: with the Boys ID and asked for if he had
- 23:01Speaker 1: a set of equipment or like an equipment list, like advice,
- 23:05Speaker 1: and he sent me a DM like this long with
- 23:06Speaker 1: all the equipment I need to be getting ways to
- 23:09Speaker 1: think about sponsorships, ads like he helped me when I
- 23:13Speaker 1: was putting together like how to stand up Busting with
- 23:14Speaker 1: the Boys. And now that we're years later on a
- 23:17Speaker 1: panel together talking about it. Just a really cool full
- 23:19Speaker 1: circle moment. So we kind of had that event in
- 23:22Speaker 1: front of two hundred, two hundred fifty people, did dinner,
- 23:24Speaker 1: did a meet and greet in their locker room.
- 23:25Speaker 2: It was really cool, but ultimately was what I was
- 23:28Speaker 2: going to get to because what.
- 23:30Speaker 1: I love is when we're out in the wild and
- 23:32Speaker 1: pt sikos come up to me or people that are
- 23:35Speaker 1: fans of the show for the Dads come up to me,
- 23:38Speaker 1: and we had a couple of them there.
- 23:39Speaker 2: Suko, who was.
- 23:40Speaker 1: There, shoutout Suco who gifted a for the Dad's Nebraska
- 23:45Speaker 1: jersey that he got made, and he gets that to me,
- 23:48Speaker 1: like when we're doing the meet and greed, he was
- 23:50Speaker 1: stoked about it.
- 23:51Speaker 2: Bro. He wanted to hit the flex post.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Just talk about dad life and talk about the pod
- 23:56Speaker 1: and how much he loves listen. Oh yeah, man, Suko
- 24:00Speaker 1: is a dog And I ask I asked, h Succo
- 24:04Speaker 1: or Suco Suko Suco.
- 24:07Speaker 2: I asked Suko, I'm.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Like, why the twenty five and he was like, well,
- 24:10Speaker 1: that was the year you guys started it. And I
- 24:12Speaker 1: was like, Bro, that awesome, man. So we're gonna get
- 24:15Speaker 1: this in a frame. We're gonna have a hang up somewhere.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Maybe it hits right there.
- 24:18Speaker 2: We removed that.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Photo, put it up somewhere on the set. Yeah, you
- 24:23Speaker 1: got a spot. Yeah, but we got that. Another dad
- 24:26Speaker 1: came up where his wife she has is it ms, Yeah,
- 24:31Speaker 1: and she writes children's books and he give to me
- 24:33Speaker 1: a couple of children's books for Ruined Scotty. He was
- 24:36Speaker 1: just very genuine talking to me, and he was just
- 24:40Speaker 1: so cool getting the I love getting to know the
- 24:43Speaker 1: dads that listen to the show, that come up and
- 24:46Speaker 1: just talk call of the show and then just talk
- 24:48Speaker 1: ball like talk shop.
- 24:49Speaker 2: You know what I mean. You've been a part of it.
- 24:51Speaker 1: When we were out at Nebraska the where next thing
- 24:53Speaker 1: you know, we're standing on a standing on a fence
- 24:56Speaker 1: talking to a couple about marriage and parenthood.
- 24:59Speaker 2: And the last that we share.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Yeah, people bringing up the time where I talked about
- 25:04Speaker 1: rue missing mom and the full circle with me talking
- 25:07Speaker 1: about my mom. People were mentioning that clip to me.
- 25:10Speaker 1: But it was awesome. It was awesome, man.
- 25:12Speaker 2: There is something different. I will I will say I've
- 25:16Speaker 2: only had a Tier one shout out once by myself,
- 25:23Speaker 2: but I've seen a lot of Tier one shout outs
- 25:25Speaker 2: with Will and Taylor out in the wild. Those are
- 25:28Speaker 2: always a ton of fun. The four the Dad's ones
- 25:31Speaker 2: are really really fun, dude, because they it's just funny
- 25:35Speaker 2: how much personal stuff they know about our life. And
- 25:38Speaker 2: it feels like you're already talking to somebody that, like
- 25:40Speaker 2: you went to high school with, yeah, because they just
- 25:43Speaker 2: know a lot of information about you. Yeah, And I
- 25:46Speaker 2: just want to like learn about them way more because
- 25:50Speaker 2: I'm like, mane, you already know so much about me,
- 25:52Speaker 2: tell me about you know, your family, You're a kidding.
- 25:55Speaker 1: It hits different because another example, I was grabbing a
- 25:59Speaker 1: coffee last week and I saw somebody who was a
- 26:02Speaker 1: fan of for the Dads. They were a fan of Busting.
- 26:04Speaker 1: And then we're sitting standing out in the parking lot
- 26:06Speaker 1: talking for thirty minutes, really just about dad life, about marriage,
- 26:12Speaker 1: about a lot of things, just connecting with them, and
- 26:16Speaker 1: those moments hit different on the For the Dads, the
- 26:18Speaker 1: Ptsikos and the PT sixers that are watching, listening wherever
- 26:21Speaker 1: you are, they hit different because it's not like like
- 26:24Speaker 1: with Busting with the boys fan base is incredible.
- 26:28Speaker 2: They feel like they know us.
- 26:29Speaker 1: We did something that they love and respect, and they
- 26:33Speaker 1: might have fun questions on what was this coach like
- 26:35Speaker 1: or man, what was this like or this story that
- 26:37Speaker 1: you guys spoke about. They dive into the weeds there
- 26:39Speaker 1: with for the dads and parenthood. Those people are doing
- 26:44Speaker 1: these same things as we are, you know what I mean.
- 26:46Speaker 1: So there's just more of a conversation because we're either
- 26:50Speaker 1: going through the suck and you come across parents that
- 26:52Speaker 1: have been through that part and they're laughing or having
- 26:54Speaker 1: good stories or storytelling about, hey, you know when they
- 26:57Speaker 1: get to this age what to look for again? You
- 27:00Speaker 1: have laught, but you're just connecting on a deeper level.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Or you're talking with a couple, a couple where they're
- 27:05Speaker 1: currently in it. We're talking with a couple they have
- 27:07Speaker 1: a newborn. We listen to your stuff all the time,
- 27:09Speaker 1: and we really appreciate, like the stories that you share,
- 27:12Speaker 1: the vulnerability that you guys have because we go through
- 27:14Speaker 1: the same things. Then you realize, like this is just
- 27:17Speaker 1: one big group. We're all going through this shit together.
- 27:20Speaker 1: So you're just having like a deeper, more meaningful conversation.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Not to say that the ones with the bustle with
- 27:24Speaker 1: the boys aren't. They know they are. But as far
- 27:27Speaker 1: as family dynamic, we're just we're all going through the
- 27:30Speaker 1: same shit.
- 27:32Speaker 2: The amount of times with the pet stick of ones.
- 27:35Speaker 2: If I'm with Jill and they're with their wife, the
- 27:39Speaker 2: the guy that came up to us at the restaurant
- 27:41Speaker 2: at the golf course, we start having our own conversation
- 27:45Speaker 2: and his wife and Jill are having their own, and
- 27:47Speaker 2: I just hear them start dying laughing, and I overhear
- 27:51Speaker 2: Jill go, oh my god. Sherman does that all the time,
- 27:53Speaker 2: like they're already there you go. Yeah.
- 27:58Speaker 1: But it was really cool man, getting those gifts, getting
- 28:01Speaker 1: connected with bt siccos on things aside from like you
- 28:06Speaker 1: know there for speaking there, for like on like busting
- 28:09Speaker 1: with the boys.
- 28:10Speaker 2: Tell the part about the game ball, Dude, that was
- 28:12Speaker 2: such a sick moment. I know that you touched on
- 28:14Speaker 2: it on the bus. I would love for any pt
- 28:17Speaker 2: siccos to hear that story too.
- 28:19Speaker 1: So there was this game ball that I got, and Derek,
- 28:22Speaker 1: if you it's in my truck on the passenger side
- 28:24Speaker 1: if you want to grab it, so that way I
- 28:26Speaker 1: could show them the prop. But so Ben Newman, as
- 28:30Speaker 1: I was talking about Ben and I met thirteen years
- 28:32Speaker 1: ago over the internet on social media. We had some
- 28:35Speaker 1: common friends. People thought like, hey, will you would like
- 28:37Speaker 1: this guy? And again I was searching for, like somebody
- 28:40Speaker 1: to help hold me accountable and give me some direction
- 28:43Speaker 1: in sports psychology because I'm massive into psychology of everything,
- 28:48Speaker 1: and so I working with Ben fast Forward. That was
- 28:52Speaker 1: in twenty thirteen. I got this game ball in twenty fifteen,
- 28:58Speaker 1: I believe because it was one of the first games
- 29:00Speaker 1: I ended up taking over for the starting job. We're
- 29:02Speaker 1: playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and it was the You
- 29:04Speaker 1: Like That game by Kirk Cousins where we have a
- 29:06Speaker 1: big comeback in the second half. You guys know the
- 29:08Speaker 1: meme or the video where Kirk's coming down the locker
- 29:11Speaker 1: room and he saying, on you like that? You like that?
- 29:14Speaker 1: That game was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers games where we
- 29:17Speaker 1: had a big comeback maybe one of the biggest ones
- 29:19Speaker 1: in the franchise history. No, well, you know, we had
- 29:22Speaker 1: we had a losing record. We ended up turning it around,
- 29:25Speaker 1: going to the wildcard, losing the Green Bay, but we
- 29:27Speaker 1: made the playoffs. We end up winning the NFC East
- 29:29Speaker 1: that year. And during that game, as well, at halftime
- 29:33Speaker 1: they made the switch to make me the starter as
- 29:36Speaker 1: the MIC. So that was a memorable game for myself
- 29:38Speaker 1: because I started playing a lot more after that. Yeah,
- 29:42Speaker 1: but I got this game ball, biggest comeback in Redskins history.
- 29:45Speaker 1: We ended up winning thirty one to thirty October twenty fifth,
- 29:48Speaker 1: twenty fifteen, and so a lot of the guys got
- 29:51Speaker 1: game balls. And so when I got this game ball,
- 29:56Speaker 1: one of the next home or the game that Ben Newman,
- 30:00Speaker 1: my performance mentor, was coming to, I got into his
- 30:04Speaker 1: hotel room and laid this on his bed, so that
- 30:06Speaker 1: way when he came in there and saw it, like
- 30:08Speaker 1: he realized like I was gifting him this game ball,
- 30:11Speaker 1: and I wrote him a note that basically said like
- 30:13Speaker 1: I wouldn't be here without your help, and.
- 30:15Speaker 2: It was very much like a personal big.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Bro, little bro, like I want you to have this
- 30:19Speaker 1: because you've been a massive part of my journey.
- 30:21Speaker 2: In the NFL.
- 30:24Speaker 1: And he got real emotional with the game ball when
- 30:28Speaker 1: we spoke about it after the game, because he started
- 30:29Speaker 1: to get emotional before and I was like, Hey, we
- 30:31Speaker 1: got a game coming up, Like let's let's say tighten up, bro,
- 30:34Speaker 1: let's lock in. I mean Warrior will copy. Yeah, I
- 30:38Speaker 1: gotta paint the I gotta paint the face right now.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Heart's gotta start black. It's not full of blood. It's
- 30:42Speaker 1: gotta go.
- 30:42Speaker 2: Black right now.
- 30:42Speaker 1: It's gotta go dark. And we were speaking after and
- 30:45Speaker 1: he was like, he just I remember. I actually I
- 30:48Speaker 1: did not remember telling him this, but he's telling in
- 30:50Speaker 1: a story. As he's gifting this to me at the
- 30:52Speaker 1: event on Saturday, He's like, uh, we'll remember as I
- 30:57Speaker 1: told him, like, when you have a family of your own,
- 30:59Speaker 1: one day, I'm going.
- 31:00Speaker 2: To give you this ball back. It's that.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Good news is I got a replica made so it
- 31:04Speaker 1: can still sit in the same spot that I have
- 31:05Speaker 1: it in. But he gave this game ball back to
- 31:08Speaker 1: me because now I have obviously a family of my own.
- 31:11Speaker 1: So again another full circle moment that took place there.
- 31:15Speaker 2: That was really cool. Yeah, man, and this is the
- 31:18Speaker 2: this is my very first game ball. Can I hold it? Absolutely?
- 31:21Speaker 2: Oh dude, that's so epic, dude. Yeah, that's such a
- 31:27Speaker 2: cool story. The fact that it's the you like that
- 31:31Speaker 2: game just adds so much legacy behind it. Of like
- 31:35Speaker 2: on the field, but off the field story behind this
- 31:38Speaker 2: guy now is.
- 31:40Speaker 1: Unreal and also full circle moment that you guys know
- 31:44Speaker 1: about me. It's knowing that Levante David's on the field
- 31:47Speaker 1: as well. No, I'm tooking down. Yeah, this is this
- 31:51Speaker 1: is boogie bro. It's Levante giving.
- 31:56Speaker 2: Him some ship.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Yeah, because he wasn't responded. I was talking a little
- 32:00Speaker 1: shit to him. But yeah, man, great, great Saturday.
- 32:07Speaker 2: You're very deserving of that. And you you are. I
- 32:09Speaker 2: know we say here and we say like, oh, we
- 32:11Speaker 2: aren't experts. If there is one thing that you are
- 32:16Speaker 2: an expert on, it is great determination and working for
- 32:22Speaker 2: a cause that feels greater than yourself, something that may
- 32:26Speaker 2: seem out of reach, and like your belief in No,
- 32:30Speaker 2: it is obtainable if you work at it every single
- 32:32Speaker 2: day and you work hard, like you could speak to
- 32:35Speaker 2: that for hours.
- 32:36Speaker 1: I appreciate it. I'm very uncomfortable. You've given me that
- 32:39Speaker 1: massive competition. I know how the fellows get.
- 32:41Speaker 2: I just want you to hear that, dude, you're that.
- 32:43Speaker 2: That makes me so happy that you're being celebrated and
- 32:47Speaker 2: you're given that opportunity to do that. Keeps awesome. I
- 32:51Speaker 2: appreciate that.
- 32:52Speaker 3: Shore me. No, what he's not an expert in keeping
- 32:54Speaker 3: track of his phone.
- 32:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I forgot the ipety chef today chef, oh yeah,
- 33:00Speaker 2: and then the phone over the weekend two we got
- 33:02Speaker 2: two stories forgot it. You forgot that, you forgot your phone?
- 33:07Speaker 1: Yeah, oh no, the phone, the phone, Come on now, okay, okay,
- 33:12Speaker 1: don't don't do that.
- 33:13Speaker 3: I'm not I won't do that to you. I'll explain
- 33:16Speaker 3: it was one hundred percent Will's fault we had lost
- 33:19Speaker 3: in the couch situation.
- 33:20Speaker 2: Oh okay, okay, not my fault.
- 33:24Speaker 3: No, it's not your fault.
- 33:25Speaker 2: Say it. It's it's like on the show, we're about
- 33:29Speaker 2: taking accountability. I was.
- 33:32Speaker 3: I would give you seventy five percent not accountable. The
- 33:35Speaker 3: other twenty five is knowing that it was one hundred
- 33:37Speaker 3: percent in your pocket when you went on stage. Basically
- 33:40Speaker 3: at the panel, they had you salam bended like a
- 33:44Speaker 3: Busting with the Boys episode, and they brought out these,
- 33:45Speaker 3: uh these kind of like recliner chairs, really cozy, by
- 33:48Speaker 3: the way, first form incredible facility. Uh So, if you're
- 33:52Speaker 3: listening to I walked into one of the bathrooms that
- 33:55Speaker 3: it was spotless. One of your employees walked in after me.
- 33:58Speaker 3: I was taking a piss all him scrubbing the place.
- 34:01Speaker 3: I literally looked and I went, this place is spotless.
- 34:03Speaker 3: You couldn't make it any better. And he was still
- 34:05Speaker 3: putting in works to shout out it was wild and
- 34:08Speaker 3: he's not lying. Christine and spotless. They don't hire cleaners.
- 34:12Speaker 3: It's all standard. We do the work employees, nobody they clean.
- 34:18Speaker 2: From the photos. It just reminds me of that first
- 34:22Speaker 2: year when like a new building on a college campus
- 34:25Speaker 2: gets pro that's what it looks.
- 34:26Speaker 1: Like, legit there and they run as far as core
- 34:30Speaker 1: value standard. I'm so excited for when Sal for Sela
- 34:34Speaker 1: comes on the pot. Obviously we'll be talking dad life,
- 34:36Speaker 1: but I just want people to understand that.
- 34:38Speaker 2: This is that this dude their team, because there's a
- 34:43Speaker 2: lot of them.
- 34:43Speaker 1: This isn't just Sal, but the way that they operate
- 34:46Speaker 1: on a daily basis their their foundation of thinking, their
- 34:50Speaker 1: foundation of values, their foundation of principles, how they think,
- 34:53Speaker 1: how they go about everything. Man, the details, all of it.
- 34:58Speaker 1: I aspire to be like it. I get like a
- 35:01Speaker 1: sponge around it because I'm so fascinated with how that
- 35:05Speaker 1: trickles down from top to bottom. Because they got I
- 35:08Speaker 1: don't know how many employees do they have the man.
- 35:10Speaker 1: That place is huge, hundreds if not thousands employees. Like,
- 35:13Speaker 1: the place is massive, but it is crazy, man, it
- 35:19Speaker 1: is crazy.
- 35:20Speaker 2: And Sala is super intentional with his kids too. Again,
- 35:22Speaker 2: I love follow him on Instagram.
- 35:24Speaker 1: He had me FaceTime in a couple of weekends ago
- 35:27Speaker 1: to give his son a pep talk before they played
- 35:29Speaker 1: a flag football game. He had me thinking on the
- 35:31Speaker 1: spot of talking about attitude and effort. But Sal's just
- 35:35Speaker 1: the man bro I love. But we bust each other's balls.
- 35:39Speaker 1: But dude, I'm a big I think very highly of
- 35:43Speaker 1: salf or Selah.
- 35:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:44Speaker 3: Yeah he's a dog.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Yeah, he's a dog.
- 35:46Speaker 3: But to go back, Will lost's phone in the couch
- 35:49Speaker 3: during the episode.
- 35:49Speaker 1: As I'm sitting there, phone slipped out and falls in
- 35:52Speaker 1: the middle right on stage like on stage. So then
- 35:55Speaker 1: when I get done and I'm looking for it, I
- 35:56Speaker 1: can't find it. I'm retracing. I didn't go very far
- 35:58Speaker 1: like my my my trail from where I was. I
- 36:02Speaker 1: was like, okay, maybe it's in the bathroom because I
- 36:03Speaker 1: went to the bathroom. Could just be sitting on the urinal.
- 36:05Speaker 1: Like when I took it out, scrolled something said it
- 36:07Speaker 1: on the urinal. Yeah, yeah, it wasn't there. I couldn't
- 36:09Speaker 1: find it. We look in the chair four or five
- 36:12Speaker 1: different times.
- 36:13Speaker 3: For a while.
- 36:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:15Speaker 3: At on Newman's team too that he had on production,
- 36:17Speaker 3: they were like, I was like, hey, Will doesn't know
- 36:19Speaker 3: where his phone is. They were hell bent on finding
- 36:21Speaker 3: your phone, almost more than me. I was like, I
- 36:22Speaker 3: know it's going to show up.
- 36:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:24Speaker 3: I'm like, I know it's right, and they were. They
- 36:26Speaker 3: were scrambling popa.
- 36:28Speaker 2: I was like, I literally had I remember looking at
- 36:30Speaker 2: it before I went on stage show. It can't it
- 36:32Speaker 2: has to be around here.
- 36:34Speaker 3: You would have thought that Will's the president and we
- 36:36Speaker 3: just lost the nuclear football. Yeah, the way this team
- 36:40Speaker 3: is acting, shout out.
- 36:41Speaker 1: We had the chair turned over looking get it in
- 36:43Speaker 1: the bottom and everything else, and we couldn't find it.
- 36:45Speaker 1: But a couple, a couple Tier one sikos come just
- 36:49Speaker 1: in the crowd and they see us looking and he
- 36:51Speaker 1: just hits his boy as his name is Zach and
- 36:53Speaker 1: justin actually here base out of Nashville. Zach's like, hey,
- 36:55Speaker 1: should we go look for his phone? And they find
- 36:58Speaker 1: the phone in the chair by not only lift get over,
- 37:00Speaker 1: but they started moving it and could hear it sliding? No,
- 37:03Speaker 1: so it was just trapped somewhere that was just tough
- 37:05Speaker 1: to get to. So I don't fully put that, you
- 37:09Speaker 1: know what I mean, like it fell out?
- 37:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I will, just doesn't deck. How do you feel?
- 37:14Speaker 2: You look like you're thinking about it now. I forgot
- 37:16Speaker 2: my iPad at home today, had dropped off of the house.
- 37:19Speaker 2: That's that's so like, I'm not out.
- 37:24Speaker 3: Of I wouldn't my mind Why I said seventy five
- 37:27Speaker 3: twenty five is that if the twenty five is like
- 37:30Speaker 3: you know that it's in your pocket, it's in the chair.
- 37:32Speaker 3: I know it's in the chair. I had it before
- 37:34Speaker 3: I went on stage. That's the Hey, if we're doing
- 37:36Speaker 3: the full accountable, like Ray Lewis said, it starts today.
- 37:38Speaker 2: Yeah, Ray Lewis is speaking. Ain't no coincidence, Ain't no
- 37:43Speaker 2: Coincidence's all looked like you're a twelve year old ago. Yeah,
- 37:48Speaker 2: Ray Ray, Ray did say that. Ray did say that.
- 37:52Speaker 2: But if it was awesome, The gifts are incredible. Thank
- 37:55Speaker 2: you guys.
- 37:55Speaker 1: Pop a team six members that came up gifted us
- 37:58Speaker 1: some stuff. Got another gift of the week in from Sherm. Yes,
- 38:02Speaker 1: got a gift from Sherm.
- 38:04Speaker 2: Do you open it? Bro?
- 38:06Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, and there's a funny moment about it.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Oh really, charl and I had so Sherm like him
- 38:13Speaker 1: and Jill gifted Charle and I a gift and it's
- 38:17Speaker 1: an awesome gift.
- 38:18Speaker 2: It's gonna hang up right over my cold tub, no way.
- 38:21Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, but we opened this gift right and
- 38:25Speaker 1: just like thinking us like their transition here, like parenthood, friendship,
- 38:29Speaker 1: all that stuff that Jill wrote us a card, Jill
- 38:33Speaker 1: corner to corner all throughout the car. Jill has her
- 38:35Speaker 1: own card and it's a bigger card. It's like this
- 38:38Speaker 1: and she's writing cover like all over the place. There's
- 38:41Speaker 1: no space on a table of contents. Yeah, people content.
- 38:46Speaker 2: Sherm writes a card too, and it's it's a smaller
- 38:48Speaker 2: card because it's the only card, the only card we had.
- 38:51Speaker 2: Yeah you can tell what I wrote on it.
- 38:54Speaker 1: I can't remember, but it was above like you had
- 38:55Speaker 1: a nice joke where I belly laughed out loud because
- 38:58Speaker 1: Sherm is playing like, you know, I'm basically writing on
- 39:01Speaker 1: this little shit card like Jill, she took up all
- 39:05Speaker 1: the stuff.
- 39:05Speaker 2: So this is the only card I guess I can use.
- 39:07Speaker 1: And sure it's like making a funny on the card,
- 39:09Speaker 1: but basically thanking us for a lot of stuff. And
- 39:13Speaker 1: open the gift and it's this frame. It's a nice
- 39:18Speaker 1: like glass or a crylic acrylic frame. And I'm thinking
- 39:23Speaker 1: the way Jill's talking about family, when you see this,
- 39:26Speaker 1: I want you to think like family, foundation, all these things.
- 39:30Speaker 1: So in my brain, I'm thinking, we're gonna get a
- 39:33Speaker 1: cool photo of Jill, Shirm and Scarlet. And so we
- 39:38Speaker 1: open this frame and inside this crylic frame is a
- 39:43Speaker 1: piece of art that is essentially like stone or a rock.
- 39:48Speaker 2: But when I open it, it's like this charcoal color.
- 39:51Speaker 1: It's got texture all to it and to where if
- 39:54Speaker 1: you go back to the card and read, it's like
- 39:56Speaker 1: this should look like a rock like foundation, like everything
- 39:58Speaker 1: that puts that encapsulates it's a family.
- 40:01Speaker 2: It's this artwork of a.
- 40:02Speaker 1: Essentially like a like a rock texture thing. I'm starting
- 40:07Speaker 1: to try and pull off. I'm starting to try and
- 40:11Speaker 1: pull off the art because I'm thinking it's just like
- 40:14Speaker 1: some foam thing over the photo, and I because Charles
- 40:21Speaker 1: like bread, and Charle's like, oh, that's really sweet. And
- 40:25Speaker 1: then if the camera pans over me, I'm going, hey,
- 40:28Speaker 1: how do I go about getting this thing off because
- 40:30Speaker 1: I'm like trying to pull it off in the corners
- 40:32Speaker 1: on the sides, and she's like, no, no, no'm sweet,
- 40:34Speaker 1: you don't pull that off, like that's art, Like it's
- 40:37Speaker 1: just they gifted us a piece of art. And I'm
- 40:39Speaker 1: like and then I kind of hold it on. I'm like,
- 40:42Speaker 1: so it's this, it's just this, and she's like, yeah,
- 40:45Speaker 1: it's art. She's like, look at what Jill wrote rock
- 40:48Speaker 1: Foundation all this stuff. I'm like, oh shit, this is
- 40:52Speaker 1: kind of dope.
- 40:53Speaker 2: But I'm thinking I.
- 40:54Speaker 1: Thought that there was a picture underneath, bro that is
- 40:59Speaker 1: very thought gifts.
- 41:00Speaker 2: By the way, that is the most legendary. The fact
- 41:04Speaker 2: that just knowing my mom's process of when she layers
- 41:08Speaker 2: like paint makes it that much funnier. Yeah, you read
- 41:13Speaker 2: that feeling it because I look at the back and
- 41:16Speaker 2: there's like that that like canvas materials.
- 41:19Speaker 1: Yeah, that canvas deaded material to where I'm pushing. I'm like, man,
- 41:22Speaker 1: maybe it's like a painting of the family.
- 41:23Speaker 2: Or something like that.
- 41:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 41:24Speaker 1: I'm like, I just got to get this thick texture
- 41:28Speaker 1: thing off of it.
- 41:29Speaker 2: I don't blame I do, Okay, I'll be careful of
- 41:32Speaker 2: how I phrase this. My mom's pieces are very bright
- 41:37Speaker 2: and colorful, and the pieces that she wanted to do
- 41:40Speaker 2: for you and Taylor from how Jill kind of described
- 41:45Speaker 2: y'all's tastes in y'all's colors and like, uh, not minimalistic,
- 41:50Speaker 2: but like y'all's sense of design. My mom was like,
- 41:58Speaker 2: I want to go with like a real neutral, kind
- 41:59Speaker 2: of dark thing, like something I don't usually do right
- 42:03Speaker 2: up my alley, and so she went with that. But
- 42:06Speaker 2: it quite literally looks like obsidian or like some kind
- 42:10Speaker 2: of rock. Like I can see see now now that
- 42:13Speaker 2: I know what it is, truly see where you went.
- 42:17Speaker 2: Knowing me, you can see where my brain was going.
- 42:19Speaker 2: There it was going, but it's not like you know,
- 42:22Speaker 2: my mom's howling right now listening to this. By the ways,
- 42:25Speaker 2: wrapping paper ever, hey, that's the part that was the
- 42:29Speaker 2: that Scarlet helped with the wrapping paper, Like, oh.
- 42:33Speaker 1: I love that because the wrapping paper was awesome. The
- 42:35Speaker 1: tape on the back was hilarious. What was it, just
- 42:37Speaker 1: like this white thick tape that's just all over the place.
- 42:40Speaker 2: I guess your first time, like.
- 42:42Speaker 1: Say that I figured say, say you figured out how
- 42:45Speaker 1: to really do a clean one side of a Christmas gift.
- 42:49Speaker 1: First time wrapping a Christmas gift, and you get the
- 42:51Speaker 1: you get the sides, and you get the top part
- 42:53Speaker 1: really clean, and then you kind of flip it over
- 42:54Speaker 1: and you're like, oh shit, what do I do this
- 42:56Speaker 1: back part?
- 42:57Speaker 2: This is a hole. There's a hole.
- 42:58Speaker 1: But great presentation, a gift, awesome card. Let's hang over
- 43:02Speaker 1: the cold tub. Oh, but amazing, Scarlet.
- 43:06Speaker 2: That was I think Scarlett's first painting was the wrapping paper.
- 43:11Speaker 2: She did the painting on it. Oh, she with my mom. Yeah,
- 43:14Speaker 2: let's go man, that is awesome. It was fun, dude,
- 43:17Speaker 2: and that that kind of goes with like the I
- 43:21Speaker 2: don't think it was my crack of cold one, but
- 43:23Speaker 2: it was something on here because we put in the
- 43:25Speaker 2: show notes of just my mom has been talking day
- 43:29Speaker 2: and night about wanting to get Scarlet into her art studio,
- 43:37Speaker 2: and that was like my mom's super Bowl was getting
- 43:40Speaker 2: her in there and all three of the girls. That
- 43:42Speaker 2: was back when Jill was home for Easter. So I
- 43:45Speaker 2: was getting a bunch of facetimes, a bunch of photos
- 43:48Speaker 2: of the girls just in my mom's art studio in
- 43:52Speaker 2: her garage. She's had other studio spaces in the past,
- 43:56Speaker 2: but like right now it's in her garage, and uh,
- 43:59Speaker 2: it was cool, dude. It was like cool to see
- 44:02Speaker 2: those three generations like working together, really fun that it
- 44:05Speaker 2: was a gift for you and Taylor. And the gift
- 44:09Speaker 2: was because they gifted me for any new listeners night
- 44:12Speaker 2: nurses during my paternity leave when we had Scarlet, So
- 44:17Speaker 2: like that was the thank you of Like it was
- 44:20Speaker 2: very belated, by the way, nine months belated, but I'm
- 44:25Speaker 2: glad we got y'all something finally.
- 44:26Speaker 1: Yeah, Mama Sharam, thank you so much. That gift is awesome. Yeah, everybody,
- 44:30Speaker 1: the whole family. Jill Scarscar even put a little twist
- 44:33Speaker 1: on it. Your card. Yeah, dude, thank you man.
- 44:36Speaker 2: Yeah, dude. I didn't I didn't quite know what to
- 44:39Speaker 2: write to Charrow. I didn't. I didn't know because I
- 44:43Speaker 2: like don't know her, like on the superpersonal note, and
- 44:48Speaker 2: I was like, I'm gonna I'm gonna brag about how
- 44:51Speaker 2: cool my wife is and then just say I know
- 44:53Speaker 2: that Will thinks that you're that cool too. There you go, man,
- 44:57Speaker 2: there you go. That's I was like, that'll do it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely, bro.
- 45:02Speaker 2: But it was thank you for the gift. Absolutely is
- 45:05Speaker 2: some dad life.
- 45:06Speaker 1: Charo had a birthday party, a classmates birthday party on
- 45:09Speaker 1: on Sunday.
- 45:10Speaker 2: Oh yeah for real?
- 45:11Speaker 1: Right, yeah, So we did the full thing on Saturday
- 45:13Speaker 1: in the first form. We get back the next day
- 45:16Speaker 1: on Sunday. This past Sunday, we had like a classmates,
- 45:18Speaker 1: so roosed classmates and her friends in her class.
- 45:22Speaker 2: We invited them.
- 45:22Speaker 1: To just basically go to the park, have cupcakes, set
- 45:26Speaker 1: do some games with them.
- 45:27Speaker 2: We did like, was it sack race? We did a
- 45:30Speaker 2: sack race.
- 45:31Speaker 1: We did uh, pinning the tail on the donkey, but
- 45:33Speaker 1: called it pin the Crown on the Princess.
- 45:35Speaker 2: And it was just this it's one of Roos's photos
- 45:38Speaker 2: where she's just gone and all the they had.
- 45:41Speaker 1: You had stick or tape on all these little crowns,
- 45:44Speaker 1: blindfold them, spin them around a couple of times. I
- 45:47Speaker 1: think they're playing hide and seek. They're playing on the playground, dude.
- 45:50Speaker 1: It was a blast.
- 45:53Speaker 2: That looked like so much fun. Just the one tweet
- 45:56Speaker 2: that I loved the most was like that was at
- 45:59Speaker 2: the Shelby Bottoms said, yes, just that video of you,
- 46:03Speaker 2: Like I got these kids in a blender playing hide
- 46:06Speaker 2: and seek and how wide opening green it was dude,
- 46:09Speaker 2: And I'm like, for any st Sichos or soon to
- 46:15Speaker 2: be if you're in buds and you haven't had kids
- 46:17Speaker 2: yet and you miss those parts of your childhood of
- 46:21Speaker 2: running around in a big open grass field and playing
- 46:24Speaker 2: hide and seek your tag and you're like, oh, man,
- 46:27Speaker 2: I wish I could go back. You get to you
- 46:30Speaker 2: can watch those kids, man, Because I'm going up. I'm like, Sweeter,
- 46:34Speaker 2: are we good to do cupcakes?
- 46:35Speaker 1: Because I tricked them earlier because they were about to
- 46:37Speaker 1: go to the playgrounds, like are we going to do cupcakes?
- 46:39Speaker 1: And they're like yes, I'll say, hey, kids, cupcakes and
- 46:41Speaker 1: they're like, we don't. We're not doing cupcakes for like
- 46:43Speaker 1: another five to ten minutes. But I had already yelled
- 46:46Speaker 1: cupcakes and the kids just immediately turn row. Yeah, they're
- 46:49Speaker 1: like cupcakes, cupcakes, And I'm like, okay, hey, I was joking.
- 46:52Speaker 1: It's gonna be in about five minutes. Cupcakes in about
- 46:54Speaker 1: five minutes, I see. I was like, how about you
- 46:56Speaker 1: guys instead of going to the playground, you guys go
- 46:59Speaker 1: playing the field or something and they start playing hide
- 47:01Speaker 1: and go seeking and then the cupcakes are ready, So
- 47:03Speaker 1: I'm like all right, So I can do the cupcake call.
- 47:05Speaker 2: She's like, you can do the cupcake call. So I
- 47:07Speaker 2: start walking over and I.
- 47:08Speaker 1: See one dad already getting out his phone and he's like, man,
- 47:10Speaker 1: this is gonna be good. And I was like, dude,
- 47:11Speaker 1: I was thinking the same exact thing. They're like in
- 47:13Speaker 1: the middle of play Hide and go Seek, and I'm like,
- 47:15Speaker 1: you know in the video kids cupcakes. And then they
- 47:18Speaker 1: all just stop. They were all getting ready. A lot
- 47:20Speaker 1: of them hide behind trees and stuff. You heard one
- 47:22Speaker 1: kid like counting out loud or something ready or not
- 47:24Speaker 1: here I come. And then just immediately once they heard
- 47:27Speaker 1: the cupcake call, they just swarm like zombies, like zombies.
- 47:32Speaker 2: Bro like zombies.
- 47:33Speaker 1: It is like, oh, They're all running, all run from
- 47:36Speaker 1: different angles of the field.
- 47:41Speaker 2: The best part with kids, too, is you could have
- 47:43Speaker 2: yelled out the like worst thing, the worst thing in
- 47:46Speaker 2: the entire world, not even the cupcakes. You could have
- 47:48Speaker 2: been like, hey, the bubble blower things here, the bubble blower.
- 47:55Speaker 2: It's so stoked for anything.
- 47:57Speaker 1: Yeah, Oh that was fun. You see Hey, you know,
- 48:01Speaker 1: Dad Bragg, did you see the roo hanging with one hand?
- 48:03Speaker 2: Come on, break that down, cam fuetting one hand? Oh
- 48:16Speaker 2: my gosh, I'm not allowed to break down.
- 48:20Speaker 1: We got video running right now. Chef's probably showing the
- 48:22Speaker 1: video right now. But Charle was like, hey, did you
- 48:25Speaker 1: see ru hanging with one hand? And I told her yeah,
- 48:27Speaker 1: but thinking, man, do I remember her hanging with one hand?
- 48:29Speaker 1: I remember her jumping up like holding on when we
- 48:32Speaker 1: were doing the monkey bars and when she's just wanting
- 48:35Speaker 1: to like hang on a bar.
- 48:37Speaker 2: Oh.
- 48:37Speaker 1: And then she shows me the video of Rue like
- 48:40Speaker 1: jumping up for this little this metal ring and trying
- 48:43Speaker 1: to grab with two hands at first, but then going
- 48:45Speaker 1: like you know, one, two, three, and then jumping up
- 48:47Speaker 1: and grabbing it with one hand.
- 48:48Speaker 2: And I'm like, oh, get my Yeah, it's there. She
- 48:51Speaker 2: doesn't know, you know what I mean, she doesn't know
- 48:53Speaker 2: what she's doing the dad, but it's there. Yeah, dad
- 48:56Speaker 2: was doing that back in Bontaire.
- 48:59Speaker 1: Yeah who knows if. I was like to me, I'm
- 49:02Speaker 1: just I'm just impressed. My you know, she just turned
- 49:04Speaker 1: four years old. And this dude is like, you know,
- 49:07Speaker 1: i'll get her to her if she's wanting to play
- 49:08Speaker 1: on monkey bars, but hey, you want to see how
- 49:10Speaker 1: long you can hang? Like to wear in my brain,
- 49:12Speaker 1: I'm like, let me start like training her grip. Let
- 49:14Speaker 1: me start like training a couple things in like a
- 49:16Speaker 1: fun way. Let's see if you can do it for
- 49:18Speaker 1: twenty seconds or I'm like, you know, and then she
- 49:21Speaker 1: wants to do it again, and then she might fall
- 49:23Speaker 1: like a t I'm like, well, your grip's worn out.
- 49:24Speaker 1: We got to get a couple of rest, like slid
- 49:26Speaker 1: a couple of times. She had to slide a couple
- 49:28Speaker 1: of times. Hey, sweetheart, you want to try again? Yeah, Like,
- 49:31Speaker 1: how long do you want to hang? She's like, as
- 49:32Speaker 1: long as for a hundred seconds And I'm like, okay,
- 49:35Speaker 1: let's try one hundred seconds dead.
- 49:36Speaker 2: I'll count for you.
- 49:37Speaker 1: I remember one time she was hanging, bro and she
- 49:39Speaker 1: got like fifty two seconds hanging from the hanging from
- 49:43Speaker 1: the bar.
- 49:44Speaker 2: Dude, that's very impress She gets out. I'm like, dude,
- 49:46Speaker 2: you were such a beast. You don't even know it.
- 49:48Speaker 2: You're a beast? Is that I'm not a beast? Yeah, honey, yeah,
- 49:52Speaker 2: you don't get it yet. You're a beast. Yeah, you're
- 49:53Speaker 2: the princess beast, prince a very beast. And they used
- 49:58Speaker 2: to ford guppies. Will aren't those your creteam comans? No, no,
- 50:02Speaker 2: flints dun gu Yeah, yeah, yeah, dude, it was.
- 50:07Speaker 1: It was sick, though, Man, it was fun watching it
- 50:09Speaker 1: get loved. Don't have all the little kid of seeing
- 50:10Speaker 1: her dynamic with her friends, seeing that she has friends
- 50:13Speaker 1: at school, you know what I mean, and meeting all
- 50:15Speaker 1: the parents, getting to see him around and all of
- 50:17Speaker 1: us function together, getting the sack race going. You know,
- 50:20Speaker 1: I'm basically like, hey, eyes on me, like I'm lining up. Hey,
- 50:23Speaker 1: stand over here, Hey Leo, come over here, man, come
- 50:25Speaker 1: over here. I know you're gonna go first. Everybody goes
- 50:27Speaker 1: at the same time, but I need you to stand
- 50:29Speaker 1: right here. They're all talking. Hey, guys, I need you
- 50:31Speaker 1: to listen. I need you to listen. I'm down on
- 50:32Speaker 1: a knee looking at looking at all of them, getting
- 50:34Speaker 1: in my coach speak with them, tell them, hey, hey,
- 50:37Speaker 1: here's how we're gonna do the cadence.
- 50:38Speaker 2: You're not moving before I say go, how many sacks
- 50:41Speaker 2: are we working with? Going at once?
- 50:44Speaker 1: I'll give Chef the video so we can see, but
- 50:45Speaker 1: I want to say it's about like seven.
- 50:47Speaker 2: Oh that's a sack race. Yeah, oh, this is a
- 50:49Speaker 2: full it's a sack race. Yeah. We're not playing around.
- 50:52Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, but just watching the whole thing take place.
- 50:55Speaker 1: You know, we catered in Lady Bird. Shout out Ladybird,
- 50:58Speaker 1: No free shout outs to Lady Bird.
- 51:00Speaker 2: Great Texas, Austin, Texas.
- 51:02Speaker 1: Hello, Hello, flower tortilla's, the corn tortilla's, the cherizo, the
- 51:06Speaker 1: chicken cheese, Kaso rips their patron sauce like spicy patron sauce. Oh,
- 51:13Speaker 1: come on, but awesome, awesome weekend, awesome weekend.
- 51:18Speaker 2: On my end was that was that your cracker cole one?
- 51:22Speaker 2: I believe that's my crack.
- 51:23Speaker 1: That's well Craca cole one rue hanging with one hand
- 51:26Speaker 1: at her birthday party on the on the on the
- 51:28Speaker 1: metal rink.
- 51:28Speaker 2: Come on, I mean well, the only reason I hass
- 51:31Speaker 2: is I was like, it don't get much better than that, Like,
- 51:33Speaker 2: what's this guy's cracker cole one?
- 51:35Speaker 1: You're right, that's a classic grape kracker cole one right there,
- 51:38Speaker 1: shout out ollipop, my.
- 51:40Speaker 2: Cracker cold one. Was also a birthday party. It was Brady's,
- 51:44Speaker 2: which is Jeremy klamp Our, chief of staff. Yeah, Ptisico,
- 51:48Speaker 2: pt Siico, his four year old son, Brady's fire truck
- 51:53Speaker 2: themed birthday party. That is my first little kids birthday
- 51:58Speaker 2: party in attendance with my daughter. It's very fun, dude.
- 52:02Speaker 2: I'm glad you made it.
- 52:04Speaker 1: Oh yeah, he was on the rocks for a second
- 52:06Speaker 1: that nobody was gonna come.
- 52:08Speaker 2: Oh the buddy, dude speaking people are gonna come. It's
- 52:10Speaker 2: a buddy. It's solo Saturday. Yeah, and I have a
- 52:13Speaker 2: reason to get out of the house. None nonetheless a
- 52:16Speaker 2: birthday party. You just know this, bro.
- 52:19Speaker 1: As far as Papa Team six members have another Bet
- 52:21Speaker 1: six members back, I had your back did going through
- 52:24Speaker 1: that conversation with it? Because we were flying We did
- 52:26Speaker 1: the spring tour Notre Dame in Miami last week, Notre
- 52:29Speaker 1: Dame blogs out, Notre Dame interviews with Coach Freeman's out,
- 52:32Speaker 1: that's on bus with the Boys channel. Come on, we
- 52:35Speaker 1: were traveling around you obviously weren't traveling with us. But
- 52:37Speaker 1: columb is kind of talking about this, and I'm like, uh,
- 52:39Speaker 1: have you asked?
- 52:40Speaker 2: Have you asked?
- 52:40Speaker 1: Sure him, He's like, oh, Jill's out of town for
- 52:42Speaker 1: the weekend. He's got scarlet by himself. And I'm like, bro, bro,
- 52:45Speaker 1: even more reason?
- 52:46Speaker 2: What does that mean?
- 52:48Speaker 1: Like you're not giving enough credit to your fellow Papa
- 52:50Speaker 1: Team sixer. You think he's just gonna sit at home
- 52:52Speaker 1: and think he has to do everything at home. Entire
- 52:55Speaker 1: routine has to be home. Like no, bro, you're talking
- 52:57Speaker 1: about a Papa team sicko. Like Sure is more than dialed.
- 53:02Speaker 1: He gets out all the time. You went with him
- 53:03Speaker 1: to the zoodo. He operates solo. You guys, he goes
- 53:06Speaker 1: out to eat with people like he operates. Did you
- 53:08Speaker 1: listen to last week's episode?
- 53:09Speaker 2: Are we recording right now? Last time I checked? Yes,
- 53:12Speaker 2: we're okay. I'm sorry, Keep going, keep going. That was
- 53:15Speaker 2: a wild get off the the rail were good. Oh no,
- 53:19Speaker 2: I'm saying I'm fucking stoked with what you're saying. Oh yeah,
- 53:25Speaker 2: Oh bro, I'm like this man is dialed. As far
- 53:29Speaker 2: as operating a mission solo, you think he what just guy,
- 53:33Speaker 2: he's got to drive twenty to thirty minutes out to
- 53:35Speaker 2: your place.
- 53:36Speaker 1: He ain't gonna be ready to go backpack bottles, snacks, toys,
- 53:40Speaker 1: anything to operate.
- 53:41Speaker 2: Oh, JJ and Brady want to play outside.
- 53:43Speaker 1: You don't think he's got some matt to just go
- 53:46Speaker 1: out across the lawn and she can operate solo by
- 53:48Speaker 1: herself while he kicks it with you. By the way, clump.
- 53:50Speaker 1: It's your birthday. Even though you're throwing Brady at birthday party,
- 53:53Speaker 1: it's your birthday. Surean would be more than happy if
- 53:57Speaker 1: you just let him know that, like, YO would love
- 53:59Speaker 1: to have you there.
- 54:00Speaker 2: He wouldn't think twice about it. Bro, There's no question.
- 54:03Speaker 2: I texted him and I said, Hey, Jill's not going
- 54:05Speaker 2: to be there, but we're there. We're there. That's a
- 54:08Speaker 2: walk in the park. That's a walk in the park.
- 54:10Speaker 2: And not to make the birthday sound like it's not
- 54:14Speaker 2: something I want to go to. It's a solo Saturday
- 54:17Speaker 2: with Scarlet. I'm dying for an excuse of a controlled
- 54:21Speaker 2: environment to get out of the house and take my
- 54:24Speaker 2: daughter to I am dying for any excuse to get
- 54:27Speaker 2: out of the house. And I'm like birthday party, free food, friends,
- 54:33Speaker 2: a bunch of kiddos running around, a bunch of people
- 54:35Speaker 2: that want to interact with my daughter. Camaraderie, camaraderie. Can
- 54:40Speaker 2: I come like? Hell? Yes, dude, got the dude, I
- 54:45Speaker 2: I did too. Uh right, this is by crack of
- 54:49Speaker 2: cold one part. But to brag on myself, I did
- 54:52Speaker 2: pack her bag, dude, Jill didn't pack the bag for
- 54:55Speaker 2: the birthday party. I noticed that she All she did
- 54:58Speaker 2: was just lay out an outfit that she wants and
- 55:00Speaker 2: it's scarlet to wear to the party. For me to
- 55:02Speaker 2: take a picture of scarlet with JJ.
- 55:04Speaker 1: You're telling me, you're you're telling me your wife, the
- 55:09Speaker 1: one who's in charge of you. The boss didn't tell
- 55:12Speaker 1: you what to do, how to do it, trusted you
- 55:15Speaker 1: fully and you not. You not only took that, You
- 55:18Speaker 1: not only took that. Receive that.
- 55:20Speaker 2: Yeah, you operated. And I have a statement here from
- 55:23Speaker 2: Jill that I get to read. I don't have to
- 55:26Speaker 2: read it. Sherman gets to do careful, careful reading it
- 55:29Speaker 2: coming off like a dumb, dumb husband. Dad, don't do
- 55:32Speaker 2: a trope. Don't trope. This isn't troupe. She wrote this.
- 55:35Speaker 2: Don't trompe, man, I'm not tromping. She wrote this. Sherman
- 55:39Speaker 2: gets to do what he wants and uh he loves
- 55:44Speaker 2: me very much, signed Juli Young. I get to do
- 55:50Speaker 2: what I want, yeah, man, oh yeah you know, yeah,
- 55:56Speaker 2: of course, come on, I get to do what I want.
- 56:00Speaker 1: I want to know if this man Ryan Hammont too,
- 56:02Speaker 1: like okay, he listened. Maybe he listened to a clip
- 56:04Speaker 1: like do women going that? Can you put your wife
- 56:06Speaker 1: in the doghouse. Does this mean that he just puts
- 56:08Speaker 1: his wife in the doghouse? Would love to understand how
- 56:10Speaker 1: that works. Yeah, how does that work?
- 56:13Speaker 2: Because my whole thing, don't don't only say yes, break
- 56:16Speaker 2: down how she gets to the doghouse. Yeah, so that
- 56:20Speaker 2: way we can easily poke holes and every and probably
- 56:23Speaker 2: everything that went on for her to be in a doghouse.
- 56:25Speaker 3: Yeah, would love to be a fly in the wall
- 56:27Speaker 3: and see how he actually handles the situations. Yeah, Like
- 56:30Speaker 3: is he actually just being like you're doing it again, honey?
- 56:32Speaker 3: Like is it like you know, imagine imagine is one
- 56:35Speaker 3: of those things like she finds that comment on Instagram
- 56:38Speaker 3: and she's like, you know, comes home and she goes, oh,
- 56:41Speaker 3: so you just you put me in my place all
- 56:44Speaker 3: the time?
- 56:44Speaker 1: Yeah, Ryan, Yeah, Ryan Hammond just seems like, uh, he
- 56:48Speaker 1: lets his wife out of the cage when he gets home.
- 56:50Speaker 2: Yeah, is she doing the three piece? Like I didn't
- 56:53Speaker 2: even know that women could do one of those three piece?
- 56:56Speaker 2: So like, yeah, I'm just like, what's going on? Like
- 57:00Speaker 2: I don't understand he did put ol So he's changed
- 57:03Speaker 2: trying to be as lighthearted as he can. He put
- 57:06Speaker 2: maybe he's doing a bit.
- 57:08Speaker 1: He could be doing maybe us because we don't want
- 57:11Speaker 1: to maybe we don't want to put him in the
- 57:12Speaker 1: phoenix box.
- 57:13Speaker 2: No, oh no, he's not even close. I feel like
- 57:15Speaker 2: that's Term's burner account. It could be oh this, hey,
- 57:18Speaker 2: this will get the boys dalk in. Yeah, this will
- 57:21Speaker 2: get a dog in. I what was it? Oh? I
- 57:24Speaker 2: packed my own bag for the birthday party, and I
- 57:28Speaker 2: remembered all the essentials due The only thing I forgot
- 57:31Speaker 2: was a straw. It's that same water cup deacon chef
- 57:34Speaker 2: that I forgot at the barbecue spot. But Scarlet is
- 57:38Speaker 2: a pro. Would just fill up a cup with water
- 57:41Speaker 2: or get a little water bottle and stick a straw
- 57:43Speaker 2: any type of straw in there, and she rocks it.
- 57:46Speaker 2: But I have the sunscreen, I had the sunglasses. I
- 57:48Speaker 2: had the swimsuit because they had an inflatable in the
- 57:52Speaker 2: backyard with like a water slid on it. Oh, dude
- 57:57Speaker 2: was ripping around on that with Scarlet and my lap. Mackenzy,
- 58:02Speaker 2: Jared's girlfriend was there. She is obsessed with Scarlet, and
- 58:05Speaker 2: Scarlett's obsessed with her, and she's like, can I hold her?
- 58:09Speaker 2: Like that's the worst thing she could ask me on
- 58:11Speaker 2: playing at Earth. I'm like Baker, keep her here, you go.
- 58:17Speaker 2: I get I gotta have a couple of lollipops. So
- 58:19Speaker 2: see you in a second.
- 58:20Speaker 1: Yeah, if I could, if I could break down from
- 58:23Speaker 1: the lens of a Ryan listening to this.
- 58:28Speaker 2: It's real.
- 58:28Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's real because there are dads that
- 58:32Speaker 1: the Papa team siccos the ones that know the standard
- 58:35Speaker 1: that listen to you, that talk about the show, Oh
- 58:37Speaker 1: I packed my own bag, Oh I did this, Oh
- 58:40Speaker 1: I did that, and those men that are on the
- 58:42Speaker 1: standard of yeah, no shit, you should we know that.
- 58:47Speaker 1: But there's also those dads need to know that there's
- 58:50Speaker 1: a lot of new dads or dads out there that
- 58:52Speaker 1: have that might have no clue that these things get
- 58:55Speaker 1: thought about. That they need to be prepared for that
- 58:58Speaker 1: in the humor of it, that's a win. That's like
- 59:01Speaker 1: a win for the group of like understanding and learning
- 59:04Speaker 1: all the ins and outs of what goes into like
- 59:06Speaker 1: say a solo mission.
- 59:07Speaker 2: Does that make sense? We're we're talking. If you're you're
- 59:10Speaker 2: sitting there and you listen, I brought the straw.
- 59:12Speaker 1: I forgot I didn't forget this, And it's like, oh yeah,
- 59:14Speaker 1: no shit, Yeah, we're on the same page with you.
- 59:17Speaker 2: But there are also a lot of there's a.
- 59:19Speaker 1: There's a there's a lot of dads out there that
- 59:21Speaker 1: might not even know that this stuff goes on, or
- 59:24Speaker 1: dad's out there that just stay in the house and
- 59:26Speaker 1: stay routine from what their the list that their wife
- 59:28Speaker 1: might have wrote them down if they're not fully trusted
- 59:31Speaker 1: at the house to.
- 59:32Speaker 2: Know, like this is how you operate. Need we meet uh,
- 59:37Speaker 2: need we need reminding? What's the phrase? Hell yeah, keep
- 59:41Speaker 2: it going? Need we need reminding that I forgot my
- 59:45Speaker 2: freaking diaper bag when I went to that Stars game
- 59:49Speaker 2: with your girlfriend and had to We parked and got
- 59:54Speaker 2: out and I forgot the diaper bag. We had to
- 59:56Speaker 2: get back in the car twenty minutes back to the house,
- 59:59Speaker 2: missed the first spirit of the game because Bozo packed
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: the diaper bag in the house and didn't put it
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: in the car. Yeah, like my baseline was like below
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: this tape if you know the story arc of Shurm. Yeah,
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: and you're pod that's a big deal, my man.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: Look at the way he's grown since the times of
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: like having some mess ups.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, And did I forget the stroller? Yes? Did
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: I need the stroller at the party. Now, I didn't
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: need it, but I did intend to pack it. I
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: did forget it. It happens, It happens. Happens. Man. Yeah,
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: we're not. Nobody's perfect. Nobody's perfect, Noy's perfect. But that
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: was my dad with pt Sikos. We interrupt this episode
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: to bring you our newest sponsor and a sponsor that
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: we are very excited about. You probably saw our nanit
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: custom social shout out Chef for directing and editing there.
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: How good was that? Nana? That was really fun that
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: you guys crushed it. Crush Chef.
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: The get yeah script shots, lighting like.
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: We were shooting a movie. You did a great job.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: It did a great job. It was a lot of fun, dude.
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: The pretending to be a kid with Will coming in
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: was I feel like we didn't even fully go into
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: it because it was such a busy day. There were
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: like eight other things that had to be recorded that day.
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: But I was having a lot of fun dressing up
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: as a toddler and acting like an idiot. And then
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: I'm like, so am I his actual dad? Or is
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: this just shirm?
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: Because if we're doing in nany thing and I'm the dad,
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: then we need to go about it like he's saying dad.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: But if we're just gonna be boys and he's just
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: living at the house, we could do that too.
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: In that conversation went on for like three minutes and
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: at the end of it, Will goes, so is he
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: calling me Dad or is he called me Will? And

- 1:05:31Speaker 2: Stop sending U school stuff. We let lollipop drink lollipop.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: Let's get back to that episode.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: I did Dad win last week. When we got back
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: from Miami on Thursday, I was putting room in beds
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: Like last week, you know, I was telling the stories
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: of like storytime, making up stories.
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: Using the Disney outline. Yet there this one.
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: I was telling her like we need Dad. AD's gotta
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: sit down, Brad. Dad's brains exhausted, it's not firing on
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: all cylinders.
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: Like, let's do a book.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: And so she wanted to read The Big Red lest
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: read The Big Red Slide. The Big Red Slide is
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: essentially little Pup who approaches this Big Red slide and
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: he's scared for days at a time. He sees it,
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: sees the long line, he sees how high it is.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: He gets nervous. He says, I don't want to do
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: the slide anymore. Mom, maybe tomorrow, She says, maybe tomorrow.
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: They come back the next day. He climbs up to
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: the top. Once he gets at the top, he looks
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: down and sees how far down it is, and all
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: of a sudden, he's brave climbing up the ladder.
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: Now he stops.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: He doesn't feel so brave, so he comes back down
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: and says, Mom, maybe tomorrow.
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: So Mom takes him home. They do a.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: Little concrete slide like off the like off the stoop
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: in the front of little pup bills these have I
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: told this story.
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: You did during our pre production meeting. That's where your day,
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: Joa Vasish, I was gonna say, I'm getting massive at
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: sho okay because we were sitting just.
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: Builds a cardboard slide for his stuffed animals and tells
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: him to be brave, have courage, like going down the slide,
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: attacking your fears, all that stuff, and he's rooting them on.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: So later down the road, he goes to the park again,
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: sees the big Red slide, but he meets his friend.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: This friend's name is Little Duck. They talk about going
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: on the big Red slide together and Little Duck they
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: stand in line. They go with the Big Red slide.
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: He gets to the top of the big Red slide.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: He doesn't feel so brave anymore, and little Duck he
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: helps him go down the Big Red slide. They down
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: the Big Red Slide. They have so much fun. Rue
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: loves this story and I got to tie it into
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: I was like, hey, Dadda wasn't so brave today. Dada
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: has a story to where I went really high up
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: and I got really scared, and honestly I wanted to
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: go down.
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: I just couldn't because I was so high up. I
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: forgot about this element to the story. The white Will's
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: about to tell next truly shocked me.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: So We're at Miami and they have this ten meter
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: diving board. I thought it was like a ten meter
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: pool and they have like a diving board. So I'm like, hell, yeah,
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: let's go off the diving board. We're doing the tour
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: and we get to this pool they're like Olympic pool
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: or they're swimming team pool, where they have a ten
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: meter thirty feet in the air. He said, thirty feet
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: three feet.
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: You have to say, for any of those at home,
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: the metric system meters a lot longer than feet, so
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: don't think ten feet. Yeah, I know, it's three feet
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: in a yard three point two eight, three point two eight.
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: This thing is up there, bro, and I'm seeing it
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: and I'm like, it's like thirty five feet right.
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm like not as young as I used to be,
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: Like I used to like not have a fear like
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: being a lifeguard, having a high dive. I'd rip gainers,
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: I do one and a half. I do things off
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: of a diving board, like I jump off cliffs. But
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: I wasn't like I didn't get like, I'm not like
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: an adrenal in adrenaline junkie, like bungee jumping stuff like that.
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: I get scared of being high up. I'm scared of heights.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: But once you get comfortable doing the diving board stuff,
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: it feels like, oh, I'm jumping in water, I'm jumping
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: in a pool, I'm jumping in water off of a
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: cliff when we go cliff jumping. But I'm looking at
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: how high this board is and I'm like, yo, this
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: is I'm kind of not one to do it, but
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: I said I wanted to do it. And now you
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: kind of get peer pressure, like Tailor's doing it, Jack's
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: doing it. The boys are going to Brett Mace, who
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: went with us. Who's a Miami Hurricane stick and he
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: hit it before you. Yeah, they all did.
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: Oh will.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: I'm climbing up this these diving boards right because you
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: go up one, then there's a diving board, you go back,
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: you go up another ladder, there's another diving board. You
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: go to the side, climb up, climb all the way
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: up to the top.
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: Bro.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: And as you're climbing up, I'm scared shitless because everybody's.
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: Getting on climbing. They're climbing up.
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: So the ladder's like wet, and it's like a tight climb,
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: so you could slip, you could do anything. I'm just
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: kind of looking off to the side and I'm like,
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: yo a, I don't want to do this. But JP,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: like I had a GoPro. JP's like, bring this up
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: with you.
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: So I put the go pro on my pocket as
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: I'm climbing up and I get to the top and
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: you just know the feeling like when you're on a
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: platform and it's just nothing around you. It's just you
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: got jumping off your head.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: You're on a you're up high, like just a feeling
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: you get in your con as Bro, I get this
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: tickling feeling in my balls and just the vibe you
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: get like in your sides, like in your head, and
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: I'm just looking and I'm like, I'm thinking in my head,
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: I don't know if I can jump. I'm like looking
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: over guys are jumping off. I'm up there for four
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: or five minutes as this go pro is going. It
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: takes me that long to jump off. Taylor ends up
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: jumping off. All the boys jump off the women's diving team.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: They start chirping me at the time of like, come on,
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: we don't have all day, and I'm just like, I'm
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: legitimately I'm legitimately scared, and you're trying to like play
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: the game, be humorous about it. I know I can
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: talk myself into it, but internally, like I'm like, I'm terrified.
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: Taylor gets out of the pull and comes back up
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: to the very top with me. He's a little duck,
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: I'm little pup. It says like, hey, I'm gonna count
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: the three, and then when I hit three, you go off,
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: and my god, got you. I'm with you, like you know,
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: you're like being men, but also like I got got
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: you. You count the three, I'm gonna jump off, and I'm
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: like holding this thing up and like looking over. He's
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: like one two three, and I like take a step.
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: I'm like, just get give me another, just give me
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: a little bit more time. I'm going to go. I
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: just need a little bit more than He's like, I
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: got you. I got you. So we do it on
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: the next time, one two three. I have the video,
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: I can give it to you. Shut but I just
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: jump off. Whole way down, I jump in get out
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: and like, hey, how'd you feel? I was like, dude,
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: I was terrified the whole way down. I'm like, and no,
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: do you want to do it again? I'm no, I
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: don't want to do it again. Like Eve, when I
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: jumped off, I thought I was gonna I knew I
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: was gonna like lose my stomach. I was gonna lose
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: my body. But it happened. But then you have like
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: a come to on the way down to where then
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: it feels fun. I didn't have to come too. I'm
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: like going down the whole time, Candlin, I'm just.
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: Like, ah, hit the water. But I'm fired up that
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: I did it.
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: Yeah that I was brave little pupp in this scenario,
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: but I was I'm retired from jumping off with I'm
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: retired from jumping off a ten meter diving board.
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: Good career, Hey, good career. It was a good career.
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: It was a good career.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: But as I'm coming home, I'm telling Ruth this story.
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: Fortunately I had video too. I'm like watch that. She's like, Daddy,
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: you were scared. I was like, sweetheart, I'm not messing
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: with you. I was terrified being up there. She's like,
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: I could do it. No, no, no, no, you cannot do it.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: She's like, maybe when I'm ten. Maybe when you're ten,
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: you can jump off the diving board. She's telling mom
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: the next day, Mom, when I'm ten, I'm gonna jumf
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: the dime.
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: No way.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: Yeah, she'd be she'd be terrified. I'd be terrified for yeah. Like, bro,
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: I'm not not a big I'm not a huge heightsky.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Love roller coasters, but that's controlled. You're like in a seat,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: You're doing all the things, but not a big heightsky.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: Not a big heightsky.
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: You'd be terrified for it, just like Keanu Reeves was
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: terrified for g baby as he stepped to the plate
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: Amen brother, but he faced face that beer. I will
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: say with the cliff jumping. I resonated with that. I
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: saved it for the pot. I didn't tell you this before.
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: That was my biggest fear as a kid. I was
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: the kid that sat there and cried and then end
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: up jumping like three or four times. Because we'd go
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: to Possum Kingdom Lake shout out the tabers every fourth
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: of July and they have a bunch of cliff jumping,
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: and I would always cry. I would never jump. And
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: I went to summer camp and I was like, I
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: gotta get over this. I can't be that kid at
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: this summer camp because I saw a kid doing the
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: same thing and crying. Everybody down below being like, oh
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: my god, if you just jumped, he'd be fine. And
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: so I swallowed that fear, dude, and I went up
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: there and I was like, they don't know that you're scared.
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: They don't know if you just jump, they're not going
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: to know that you were scared the whole time. And
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: I just forced myself to jump higher and higher and
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: higher like cliff jumping, and then I got so into it, dude.
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: I was like throwing gainers and stuff off of like
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: tall cliffs. And the last time I tried to throw
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: something was when I was actually a counselor. I was
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: like twenty three and I tried to do the squirrel
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: dive where you jump forward and you front flip into
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: a dot one and a half. Yeah, that'd be one
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: and a half. I'm thinking squirrel dive.
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: You might be like, grab your ankles, come down, grabbing
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: your ankles.
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: Oh sorry, So I'm like yo, because I saw this
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: guy do it before me, and he did like full extension,
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: like feet together, kind of like squirppying down the.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: Uh yeah, you would like you die, comes like this
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: and then hits the flip and dives in.
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: You hit the flip and land feet first. So you
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: dive forward, hit the flip, and then land feet first.
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: So it's like a swan dive into a flip. Yes, okay,
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: And I'm like, oh, bro, I'm gonna hit that. There's
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: some cute girl counselors watching. I'm already hit some gainers.
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: I'm like, oh buddy, I'm about to nail this. I
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: had blood seeping out of my back. Dude, it was
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: like a forty foot cliff and I fully landed on
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: my back fully will like could not they the people
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: that were watching were like Sherman, if you had tried
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: to land on your back like that, you wouldn't have
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: been able to do it. You were perfectly flat. One
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: of the said cute girls that I was crushing on
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: had to help me to a boat because yeah, okay,
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: they give me on the boat. They lay me on
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: my stomach and I had blood oozing out of my back. Yeah,
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: and my entire back was purple. Dude. It was crazy.
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: And that was the last time I tried. So I
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: need to face my fears again and go. She retired
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: from that moment. You've been retired. Yeah, I might not
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: do a front flip back. I mean, how high is
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: the cliff that one? Yeah, it was like forty that's crazy, man.
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: But the way I would hate gainers is I would
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: do it like real slow and I felt really in control. Yeah,
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: Like that wasn't scary for me. It's the front flip
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: that I'm not able to like spot the landing, yeah,
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: oh buddy. And I was really afraid of the dark,
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: and so like once I got to college, I was like,
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: I gotta face this fear. So I'd turn off all
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: the lights in the house at night and I would
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: stand in like really dark rooms and like try to
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: make myself scared and like face it and like stand
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: in the darkness because I was like it worked with
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: the heights. Yeah, and it kind of worked. I don't
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: need a flashlight anymore in the house. I can kind
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: of oh dark Bernie listeners at home, it's a goom
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: beret winom win boom ber w. Yeah. I don't even
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: know where I was going. Let's read. Let's read some comments.
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: Let's read some comments.
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: You you were resonating with the heights thing retiring, jumping
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: off the heights.
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: Yes, from the story Big Red Side. Great great children's book,
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: by the way, God, great book. I do have a
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: really funny comment that wanted to read off from this
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: is uh our flashback comments, but that's not our word flow.
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: Oh I have a I have a flashback comment. What
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: do you got?
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: I got one from Hunter Robertson on Spotify. We did
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: that hack for my daughter's second birthday and baby's first birthday.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: All the animals had a party, had party had sitting
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: on the living room floor in front of the birthday
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: presence dad to a two and a half year old
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: in fifteen month year old girls. Hashtag beat siko So
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: if you listen to last week's episode, the dad hack
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: of the week was, you want to find a way
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: to really heighten the start of your birthday. You go
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: up in the room when they're sleeping at night, like
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: as they're sleeping on the night right before their birthday.
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: You get a bunch of stuffed animals. You have them
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: sitting waiting in the living room for when they come
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: out of the room. You put them in party hats.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: We went as far as work. They're each holding a
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: balloon and roof comes out where we just talk. We
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: just get so excited about how the animals snuck out
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: like toy story and are waiting for her on her
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: birthday to like celebrate them in their birthday.
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: You need to evolve it every single year, Like you
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: need to add more and more stuff, like try and
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: put some little apparatus where they're like holding party poppers
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: or like blowers.
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, I hit the button and it doesn't go
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: off and I'm like damn. Or she becomes a teenager.
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: Just when she becomes a teenager and she's like over it,
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: you know what I mean? To be like an od
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: dad just like hire people characters like Elsa and everybody
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: to come in.
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: And sweet an't there all your three birthday?
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: Oh my god, that's that's Pal from Beauty and the Beast.
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: You're pow. Yeah, Dad, that's really heard. That's really heard.
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: You're yelling. Hey, Deborah from church. I know, okay, I
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: know she's being tough. Just staying characters, staying character. It's
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: what I paid you for, Deborah. Don't don't break. Don't break.
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: She thinks you bell uh. Jordan Ford on Spotify says
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: the section with Jill was too good, absolutely laughing out loud.
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: Keep it up, boys, this pod keeps me pushing in
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: the right direction. PT six official in June. Cheers, congratulations Shorten.
- 1:18:35Speaker 2: I had another flashback hit it last one. This is
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: my favorite comment of the week. By the way, this
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: comes from Coach Web nine nine zero three on YouTube.
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: He said, I can't believe I just listened to the
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: CTE Champ tell a ten minute reprise bugs live bedtime story.
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: This pod is ridiculous and I don't miss an episode
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: that that's what this pod. I mean, that's what this
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: pod is. That's the pod. That's the pod, that's the show.
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: Coach Webb gets it. Yeah, I would love to see
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: what Ryan's thoughts like, Was I doing the dumb dad
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: and husband trope with telling that game of storytelling? Wait,
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: so you tell you get a story every night? You know,
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: just tell them to go to bed. Ain't telling you
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: a story, kiddo. I got a dad loss.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: Here a dad lost right in it's bonesy massive fumble.
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: This is from the reddit channel ov Yeah, on the
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: four of the Dad's Podcast Reddit channel, And this plays
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: well because we just went to Miami. This is somebody
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: who's in around the University of Miami.
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: No way. Yes, I've been.
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: Listening to the pod since the first episode and have
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: loved it so much so that I decided to get
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: my girlfriend into listening as well, sort of a film
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: study for a couple of st six ers. She's an
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: athletic trainer at the University of Miami, and as some
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: of you know, the boys were just there hitting their
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: spring tour. In the middle of my workday. I got
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: a fantastic text from her saying, you won't believe who
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: our part next to.
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: It was all the boys. In her excitement, she forgot to.
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: Say hi, or get a picture or sneak in a
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: little call sign shouting out letting the boys know that we.
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: Were some st sixers. Oh what do I have to
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: say to that? Good?
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: Anyways, there will be another chance, I'm sure, but most
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: definitely gonna need to run this one up the chain
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: of command as a massive fumble.
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: Oh dude, I'm just any st Sico empty Sicico's female
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: audience out there listening. If she had hit you with
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: some terminology, dude, that's all you gotta do. You would
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: have geaked. You would have geeked if it was coming
- 1:20:40Speaker 2: from an empty Sico. Yeah, absolutely, any again, pet Sico,
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: empty Sico Stcicico. You hit me with one of those,
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: it's your stopping in looking I did. Dad lost this
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: week very quick, storry. Dad lost this weekend. We set
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: up a tea time to go golf. As we're walking
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: up with Scarlet, they're like, hey, for liability reasons, she
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: coming with you on the cart. I'm like, yes, sir,
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: can't have it man, so sorry, let's get you in
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: the clophouse. We'll refund you. I was like, oh no, damn, dude,
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: I didn't even think about that. But okay, we're gonna
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: have like a family outing. It's fine. We went to
- 1:21:14Speaker 2: Good Hey, good good. Anyways, as that like kind of
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: bummer thing happens, this one guy comes up to me
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: apologize and he's like, dude, I'm so sorry, but uh
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: just recognize you and like fucking love the pod. Dude,
- 1:21:27Speaker 2: love for the dads, and gave me a dap up.
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: I was like, dude, thanks, you kicked me up five
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: more times something like that. Dude, thank you so much.
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: And I tried to ask him for his name, but
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: he was like walking away so quickly that I fumbled.
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: I fumbled. I was like, I just got y'all have
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: a good one, thanks for listening, and walked off. I
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: was like, oh, he's just from the Rafts for the Dads.
- 1:21:51Speaker 2: Like I'm gonna stop in my tracks. I'm gonna be like,
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: give me a second walking over there. Those footsteps were
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: like Stee Griffin on the Family Guy, Hey, you listened
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: the pot. I appreciate you. I have a dad lass
- 1:22:09Speaker 2: here mother in law parked in front of me or
- 1:22:12Speaker 2: in front of the trash cans last week, which prevented
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: the city from picking up the trash. Good. Yeah, great,
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: I should have foreseen this coming. It sounds like this
- 1:22:20Speaker 2: was Brent Kiello's fault. Brent should have seen this coming. Guys,
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: don't be like me and plan accordingly. That's not his fault.
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: Or sorry, that's his fault. Yeah, that's his fault. Good
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: mother in law should park or should have parked there
- 1:22:34Speaker 2: and didn't park there. You see how my I'm all,
- 1:22:37Speaker 2: Ryan's got me fucked up. Yeah, dude, right, Ryan's got
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: me fucked up. Dude, of those dumb motherfuckers. Didn't plan good? Good,
- 1:22:46Speaker 2: wrong thing happened good, the right thing happened. You didn't
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: plan for it good. Yeah, yeah, dad hack. You had
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: a really good dad hack from uh Guso. Oh no,
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: the one, Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah Suko Suko,
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: not Cuso. Suko. Shout out the boy Cuso. Shout out
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: the boy Cuso. But we're talking about Suco's Cuso. Chef Cuso. Oh,
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: shout chef Cuso.
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: Yeah, so Suko had a great dad hack. In the
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: locker room at the first form event, the man who
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: gave us this, who gifted us this jersey before the
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: dad's jersey Nebraska GBR GBR, and he said, hey, I
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: got a dad hack for I was like, bro feed
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: it to me. Chicks like, hey, we gotta get going.
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: There's somebody. You know, we got to get the pictures.
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: Bah blah, ma'am, just give us a minute. He's got
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: a dad hack here. This is I want to hear
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: this conference. This is a business comment. Yeah, yeah, it's
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: a business comment. And he's like, got a dad hack.
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: He's like, you talk about travel all the time. I
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: hear you know, the dad guilt, the sadness, like you know,
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: rue having meltdowns. Like if Dad's not there, here's a
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: good dad hack for you, because I heard you talk
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: about storytelling and reading bedtime stories and doing all that.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: He was like, take out, do the voice memo, record
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: yourself or even do a video if you want to
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: record yourself reading her a bedtime story. So that way,
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: if mom's handling a breakdown and she wants dad, dad,
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: and she can't reach you on the phone.
- 1:24:07Speaker 2: She's got to go too. For Hey, Dad has.
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: Sent in this story for you to read you a
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: story for bedtime. You can just sit the story up
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: next to her and obviously she'll be fascinated with it.
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: Gives mom a breather while she's sitting in the room
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: to do whatever she's got to do.
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: Zuka.
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: Yeah, she's like, Mom can just chow whether she wants
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: to be on her phone go handle some business or
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: itch or whatever it is. Yeah, she could just sit
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: there for a few minutes and listen to Dad tell
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: her a story for bedtime. Suka, well done, great.
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: Dad, hack great dad.
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: And he's like in another one for you, because you
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: were talking about doing the Disney storytelling with Princess Rue,
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: Tige and Zue.
- 1:24:41Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, he goes.
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: You can tap into AI to give you a layout,
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: Like if Rude gives you a few things, you put
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: it in there. It can spit you out something to
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: where if you are exhausted, you're not one to think
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: on your feet or anything else. It gives you a
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: story that you can tell that AI might give you,
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: which I was super into. People could be turned off
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: by the AI thought, I know, my wife's turned off
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: by the earth AI. I thought, right now, sitting in
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: her car, she's probably beating her stirring wheel. But the
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: thought of like knowing that something could be could be coming,
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: and you you're like, Okay, I won't be prepared this way,
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: or I might be exhausted by the time I get here.
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: But putting the intention into asking the right questions, building
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: out the right story and be like, I love this story.
- 1:25:17Speaker 2: I'm taking it to him. It's like, dude, it's a
- 1:25:20Speaker 2: home run. I have done that. I have done that
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: when I'm already feeding forgot to get the book and
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: I'm doing solo tuck in so I don't have Jill
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: to like help or whatever if I can't get up
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: and go to her books across the nursery. I've gotten
- 1:25:34Speaker 2: on chat GBT and I'm literally I use the voice
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: thing and i just go, hey, a story about a
- 1:25:40Speaker 2: young princess named Scarlett that wants to fly and touch
- 1:25:42Speaker 2: the moon money, and it just it will start talking
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: like you could have them do it, or you read
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: it like it's kind of sick. Nice. I thought it
- 1:25:53Speaker 2: was a great day. Shout out Suko, Shout out Suko.
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: Hey GBR GBR go Big Red, Go Big Red, Go
- 1:25:59Speaker 2: Big Red. Tawnty on Spotify, Nico says dad hack. For
- 1:26:03Speaker 2: the Nanate users, you can go to the memories in
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: the app. I highly suggest this, by the way, and
- 1:26:09Speaker 2: get a free slideshow of your little one growing up.
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: As my son is about to turn one. I recently

- 1:26:23Speaker 2: it tracks all this different stuff and it will be
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: like anniversary of the first time your kid slept twelve hours.
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: Like you're like what, Oh dude, it's crazy. Like they
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: nanit ribs. Obviously they ate the friends of the show. Oh,
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: friends of the show for a reason. This is alignment.
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: This is alignment. This is easy. Yeah. Yeah, we don't

- 1:32:18Speaker 4: with y'all, kind of stop listening to you for a
- 1:32:21Speaker 4: little bit. My wife and I went through this carriage,
- 1:32:25Speaker 4: but this year, I am proud to say that my
- 1:32:28Speaker 4: wife as up today April what is it nine? My
- 1:32:32Speaker 4: wife is fifteen weeks pregnant, and I'm gonna be more excited.
- 1:32:37Speaker 4: I'm jumping right back to your podcast. I love all
- 1:32:40Speaker 4: the stories. I just I want as much advice as
- 1:32:43Speaker 4: you guys give me. I am pumped up, man and
- 1:32:47Speaker 4: mind scared, but I can't wait for it. But I
- 1:32:50Speaker 4: love the podcast.
- 1:32:51Speaker 2: You boys rock. Priece you crying? Yeah, this is where
- 1:32:59Speaker 2: you go? No, you go, wyat Hey, thank you? And
- 1:33:05Speaker 2: yeah I can.
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: I can imagine we're gonna have our wife's on it
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: at one point in time. I don't know how freely
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: I can talk about everything, but just know that I
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: understand and I empathize with what you and wife you
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: went through.
- 1:33:18Speaker 2: With your guys' miscarriage.
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: So happy that you guys are now pregnant fifteen weeks,
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: fingers crossed, knocking on wood everywhere that everything goes well,
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: everything goes healthy. I know that is a dude. It's
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: massive love that your name's Wyatt. My little brother's name's
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: Why whyatt herb Tombstone. I feel like I'm connecting with you.
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: Thank you so much for listening since episode one completely
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: get out. You know, it's almost like I haven't listened
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: in a while, and then my head kind of goes up.
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: Then you hear why it's dude. I love you, bro,
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: we were the boys are with you, We're thinking about you.
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: We hope everything goes well, dude, sincerely, we hope everything
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: goes well because that stuff is not easy. Man, you
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: don't know, and you don't know as you don't know
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: what you're Number one, you're sad your morning, you were grieving,
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: and also for WiFi. Like we've talked about this before,
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: but as men, you always want to figure out a
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: practical solution for the way forward, like moving past whatever
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: set thing is, whether it's an inspo or a quote
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: or something that helps all of us compartmentalize and go forward.
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: That's what I feel like as men, you always want
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: to solve. You always want to solve what's going on,
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: Whereas a lot of times WiFi what you learn over
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: time and with relationships and everything else over time. A
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: lot of the time it's just sitting in it with them,
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: and it makes you uncomfortable because you feel like you
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: want to get out of set thing, or you want
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: to move forward from set thing. But then you realize
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: like just being in set thing and knowing like you know,
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: there is no answer right now, but I'm not. I'm
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: right next to you this entire time, and we're going
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: to be sad together and we're just going to keep
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: talking about it no matter how long it takes. Yes,
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: because again, as the dude or you might have a
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: practical solution and they don't care to hear that thing.
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: And then you get upset like I'm just trying to
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: help you, yo, I'm not needing you to solve a
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: problem right now. I just this is what I'm communicating.
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: I just want you to sit in with me. Yes, So, dude,
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: I can imagine that is a very hard moment that
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: I'm sure you guys both went through together.
- 1:35:11Speaker 2: You obviously you.
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: Have experienced you you like you'll be better from the
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: moment because you went through the moment so fired up
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: that you guys are fifteen weeks right now and they're
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: that this little one's gonna come into some awesome parents.
- 1:35:22Speaker 2: It sounds like I the reason I teared up is
- 1:35:25Speaker 2: because I when he said he was scared, the very
- 1:35:29Speaker 2: first thing that I thought is I was like, I
- 1:35:31Speaker 2: want to hug the fuck out of Wyatt. I want
- 1:35:34Speaker 2: to dap him up. I want to go to the
- 1:35:36Speaker 2: best wing spot in his town, crack a cold one
- 1:35:39Speaker 2: with him, and talk about how scary it is. It's
- 1:35:43Speaker 2: okay to be scared. You've gone through stuff, dude, and
- 1:35:46Speaker 2: I hope that why really if you haven't reached out
- 1:35:50Speaker 2: to any of your friends to talk about that you're scared,
- 1:35:53Speaker 2: or any of your family members, dude, I encourage you
- 1:35:55Speaker 2: to do that, and just like you were saying, embrace
- 1:35:59Speaker 2: those feelings with your partner, but also like reach out
- 1:36:02Speaker 2: to people in your net that love you, that are
- 1:36:05Speaker 2: close with you and your boys, your boys, and just
- 1:36:08Speaker 2: tell him you're scared, dude, because I want to. I
- 1:36:10Speaker 2: want you dapty fuck out of Wyatt. I'll be your
- 1:36:13Speaker 2: huck and you.
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: Want to give him cheers and you say you damn right,
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: you're scared. Yes, we were all scared. And the moment
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: he gets closer and closer, you're like, yo, I'm about
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: to be there, ain't no going back, Like you am
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: I ready to be a dad? And then at those
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: moments when you're scared, you just think to yourself, billions
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: of people have done this, and I'm made of the
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: right stuff for this, yes, Or if you think about, hey,
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: what stuff am I made of? And if you don't
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: like the stuff that you're made of, then you immediately
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: know I know what I don't want to be, and
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: I can change all of it. Now, I can change
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: all of it for this next iteration. I just got
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: to figure out, like, who do I want to be?
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: What stuff do I want to be made of?
- 1:36:56Speaker 2: And hearing it in his voice, I know he's got it.
- 1:36:58Speaker 2: You know he's got and he hopefully is named after
- 1:37:03Speaker 2: another I know another Wyat back in the day. He
- 1:37:07Speaker 2: was out manned, he was out gunned, and he still
- 1:37:10Speaker 2: showed up to that train station, yeah, shooting that shotgun
- 1:37:14Speaker 2: and saying, you tell him I'm coming here. You might
- 1:37:18Speaker 2: have to name him Doc for Doc Holliday. Dude, Oh
- 1:37:24Speaker 2: that would be so sick. Anyways, that's all that's shot.
- 1:37:28Speaker 2: Thank you for calling him. Shout out Wyatt, email email,
- 1:37:34Speaker 2: mine's a saddle alert. What's yours? I have Aaron Donnelly,
- 1:37:39Speaker 2: No no alerts on it, no sturdy, let's go. Let's
- 1:37:41Speaker 2: go with yours.
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: Hi, guys, my name is Aaron, and I don't know
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: if there is a label for me in for the
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: dad's universe. I'm not an empty I'm not an empty sixer,
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: but hope to be someday. And just found your content
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: through clips on social media. I've loved catching up on
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: the pod and am almost officially caught up.
- 1:37:59Speaker 2: That rips. That's insane.
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: Yeah, over the past few weeks, I've heard you all
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: talk about being girl dads in the fear of losing
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: the open communication or close relationships with your daughters as
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: they get older. So I guess I'm writing with a
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: dad hack. Courtesy of my dad's shout out Dennis. I'm
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: the oldest of four. When I was little, my dad
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: would would read books to me in this one Love
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: Seed in the house.
- 1:38:25Speaker 2: After reading, we would just talk.
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: He would answer my unending questions about life and growing up,
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: and at some point that chair got the name the
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: chit Chat Chair.
- 1:38:34Speaker 2: As I got.
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: Older and no longer needed to need, no longer needed
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: help to read, he would still make time to sit
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: in the chit chat chair and catch up with me.
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: This was always our time, especially as all my siblings
- 1:38:45Speaker 1: came into the mix. As I hit those pre teen
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: and teen years when life and emotions seem to get
- 1:38:50Speaker 1: so much more complicated.
- 1:38:51Speaker 2: I was always able.
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: To go downstairs and ask my dad if we could
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: sit in the chit chat chair, and he would always
- 1:38:56Speaker 1: join me. He listened so intently. I'm sorry somethings in mind.
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: I'm not actually something is in my eye it's burning,
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: but I'm also starting to cry, so it's just a
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: it's a tough mix right now. He listened so intently,
- 1:39:10Speaker 1: then talked through my worries and always made me feel better.
- 1:39:12Speaker 1: For some reason, having that space establishm made it easier
- 1:39:15Speaker 1: to approach him with bigger problems, and we never lost
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: our line of open communication. Now I'm twenty nine, and
- 1:39:21Speaker 1: while we haven't sat in the chit chat chair in
- 1:39:22Speaker 1: a while, my dad and I talk all the time
- 1:39:24Speaker 1: as he continues to be my biggest supporter and voice
- 1:39:26Speaker 1: of reason. Thank you guys for all the laughs and
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: keep up the awesome work raising your daughters very very lovely. Aaron,
- 1:39:33Speaker 1: thank you, and just knowing that Aaron's got no rhyme
- 1:39:38Speaker 1: or reason to be even on this show, to be
- 1:39:41Speaker 1: watching this show, do you know what I'm saying.
- 1:39:43Speaker 2: We geek out about binging like Game of Thrones on
- 1:39:46Speaker 2: the bus and he just binged us. That's crazy, that's crazy.
- 1:39:53Speaker 2: She she just binged. Yeah, she just been sorry. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:39:58Speaker 2: she just binged us. That's crazy. It's nuts. There's there's again,
- 1:40:02Speaker 2: zero rhyme or reason.
- 1:40:03Speaker 1: It's like for the dads, we got Papa Team six
- 1:40:05Speaker 1: were built through Papa Team six foundation that includes Empty six,
- 1:40:08Speaker 1: Mama Team six, Team six. We got Seeming Team six
- 1:40:12Speaker 1: for the young guns out there, goom berets. We got
- 1:40:14Speaker 1: butts training in a relationship in it. But no rhyme
- 1:40:17Speaker 1: or reason that a female just saw sees our content,
- 1:40:22Speaker 1: enjoys the contents like Yo, I'm gonna.
- 1:40:24Speaker 2: Follow this podcast and watch this brand. That's why I
- 1:40:26Speaker 2: didn't cry because I didn't realize it was a girl.
- 1:40:29Speaker 2: I want to know what clip oh, you realized it
- 1:40:31Speaker 2: was a girl. I didn't realize there was a girl
- 1:40:32Speaker 2: and that's why you got got and I didn't, yeah,
- 1:40:35Speaker 2: because this is one of the few times on the
- 1:40:37Speaker 2: show that you got got bad. I didn't even flinch,
- 1:40:40Speaker 2: and I'm like, oh, it was a girl. Was in
- 1:40:42Speaker 2: my eye. Something was burning in my eye. I was
- 1:40:44Speaker 2: getting much. Yeah, something in your eye though, Yeah, yeah,
- 1:40:50Speaker 2: my right eye was burning. Like I tell really quick story,
- 1:40:53Speaker 2: very quickly. I know the cameras are everheating. I put
- 1:40:55Speaker 2: Scarlet to bed last night, and for the first time,
- 1:40:59Speaker 2: she she's either wanting to play or she's asleep. There's
- 1:41:03Speaker 2: no like just laying there awake and like falling asleep.
- 1:41:07Speaker 2: Like she just kind of like bundles up and she's out. Yeah,
- 1:41:10Speaker 2: because she's a baby. Yeah, little baby, little baby. She
- 1:41:14Speaker 2: laid on my chest last night, dude, and I was
- 1:41:16Speaker 2: rubbing her back and I was humming Adelvis to her,
- 1:41:19Speaker 2: and she started playing with my beard, just rubbing her
- 1:41:23Speaker 2: her fingers through my chin hairs. And I'm sitting there,
- 1:41:27Speaker 2: I'm going, is she doing that in her sleep? And
- 1:41:29Speaker 2: this pitch black room And then my phone lit up
- 1:41:32Speaker 2: because I got a text, So there's a little glow
- 1:41:34Speaker 2: and I just see her face like right here, and
- 1:41:37Speaker 2: her eyes are wide open, and she's just looking up
- 1:41:39Speaker 2: at me with her passy in her mouth, and she's
- 1:41:42Speaker 2: just slowly just playing with my chin hairs. Bro fucking
- 1:41:47Speaker 2: bottled that forever. Oh my god, dude, I got whatever
- 1:41:55Speaker 2: was in your eye flew over here? Yeah yeah, right now.
- 1:42:00Speaker 2: Maybe it's the overheating of the cameras. This Saddlert. I
- 1:42:05Speaker 2: will summarize because I wanted to be read. This comes
- 1:42:10Speaker 2: from Hayden Hawks. He essentially tells a story about how
- 1:42:14Speaker 2: his empty sicco was an absolute beast dog legend. During delivery,
- 1:42:24Speaker 2: she had something that happens to one in fifty thousand
- 1:42:26Speaker 2: women with a fifteen percent mortality rate, which is a
- 1:42:30Speaker 2: uterine inversion that happens during delivery. Very serious. She had
- 1:42:36Speaker 2: to go to the operating room. She is fine, she
- 1:42:38Speaker 2: made it. She's good. But it was this whole situation
- 1:42:42Speaker 2: where they're dealing with the they want to celebrate the
- 1:42:44Speaker 2: birth of their child. But then he's like, my empty sicico,
- 1:42:47Speaker 2: my other half is she gonna be okay? She's getting
- 1:42:51Speaker 2: rushed off to a room, and Hayden just sharing that
- 1:42:55Speaker 2: story with us. I just wanted to thank Hayden and
- 1:42:59Speaker 2: all the awesome stories that we get of, you know,
- 1:43:02Speaker 2: stuff that can go sideways, topsy turvy. It's not always
- 1:43:06Speaker 2: a perfect delivery, and our audience rips.
- 1:43:10Speaker 1: Yeah, imagine me so celebratory for like having a kid,
- 1:43:13Speaker 1: and then some some unexpected things happen, like in the
- 1:43:16Speaker 1: delivery room, oh, or like as you're you know, as
- 1:43:20Speaker 1: you're about to deliver, and then it's just it feels
- 1:43:23Speaker 1: like it's just a whole different ballgame on how you
- 1:43:26Speaker 1: even feel outside of terrified for your other half. That's
- 1:43:33Speaker 1: so interesting, just you can't help but and then like
- 1:43:36Speaker 1: you're just imagining the worst. Can I operate without this,
- 1:43:42Speaker 1: without my other half? That would be tough?
- 1:43:46Speaker 2: Man. Yeah, I'm legitimately unfortunately, I have that thought sometimes
- 1:43:52Speaker 2: at night, like when I'm going to bed. I really
- 1:43:54Speaker 2: do think about especially on those solo Saturdays. I'm like, dude,
- 1:43:59Speaker 2: if this was every day. Yeah, I missed Jill so
- 1:44:03Speaker 2: much in those moments at that birthday party. All I
- 1:44:06Speaker 2: wanted was for Jill to be that I still had fun.
- 1:44:09Speaker 2: But I'm just like dude. Yeah, man. Scarlett officially crawled
- 1:44:15Speaker 2: at that birthday party for the first time, and lindsay
- 1:44:18Speaker 2: yes she did. Lindsay saw it, and I told Lindsay
- 1:44:21Speaker 2: and Jeremy. I said, we're gonna lie. We're not gonna
- 1:44:23Speaker 2: say shit. She did not crawl, and I'm gonna PLoP
- 1:44:27Speaker 2: her on the floor when I get when Jill gets
- 1:44:29Speaker 2: home from work tonight and go, whoa, whoa, whoa, who's
- 1:44:32Speaker 2: she going? I never seen that? What so she's crawled?
- 1:44:38Speaker 2: Are you recorded? Did it work?
- 1:44:41Speaker 3: No?
- 1:44:41Speaker 2: I couldn't lie to my wife. I was too excited.
- 1:44:45Speaker 2: There's the lesson of the week. Don't lie to your way,
- 1:44:48Speaker 2: don't lie to your wife, and treat them well. Treat
- 1:44:51Speaker 2: them well, treat them well. Don't don't you know I'm
- 1:44:54Speaker 2: talking about Ryan? I did? I did have a very
- 1:44:58Speaker 2: quick lesson of the week or do we want to wrap? Yeah, dude,
- 1:45:01Speaker 2: my mind's uh. Basically, I had that tweet that I
- 1:45:05Speaker 2: was very glad that it got a bunch of clicks.
- 1:45:07Speaker 2: I don't have a lot of stuff go viral about
- 1:45:09Speaker 2: my personal life. I'm a meme guy. I live in
- 1:45:12Speaker 2: got a big meme guy and the on name used
- 1:45:13Speaker 2: to be CFB Memes. You used to be CEFB Meme Zone.
- 1:45:16Speaker 2: And I had something kind of go viral that was
- 1:45:18Speaker 2: my own personal life. I was like, oh, that's that's
- 1:45:21Speaker 2: actually really cool because it was a great message. We
- 1:45:23Speaker 2: went to Smyrna golf Course shout out Smyrna where I
- 1:45:27Speaker 2: do uh the first t and volunteer there. We because
- 1:45:34Speaker 2: we got kicked out of that golf tea time that
- 1:45:36Speaker 2: we had at another place. So I was like, I
- 1:45:38Speaker 2: know a golf course where we can just go to
- 1:45:40Speaker 2: the practice range and hang out as a family. And
- 1:45:43Speaker 2: Scarlet's done up in this bonnet, dude, I'll send picks
- 1:45:46Speaker 2: the chef. I mean, cutest little outfit in the entire world.
- 1:45:50Speaker 2: And we're sitting there and I see this old man
- 1:45:52Speaker 2: standing off to the side, and he is one hundred
- 1:45:55Speaker 2: percent watching us, and the way I'm set up like
- 1:45:58Speaker 2: hitting balls, I can see him, and I thought that
- 1:46:00Speaker 2: he was just watching me because we're the only people
- 1:46:03Speaker 2: on that side of the range. I was like, I
- 1:46:05Speaker 2: don't have that good of a swing, so I hope
- 1:46:07Speaker 2: this guy doesn't come over to like give me swinging
- 1:46:10Speaker 2: advice and from my wife and child, like that would
- 1:46:13Speaker 2: be embarrassing. And he's like late sixties, early seventies. He
