  Speaker 1: with us. Sometimes life feels overwhelming and it's easy to

  Speaker 1: wonder if God even cares. There's some people that I

  Speaker 1: speak to on the chap ministry that I'm involved in, right,

  Speaker 1: hundreds and hundreds of people are struggling anxiety, hurt, relationships

  Speaker 1: that went stray, low self esteem, so many things.

  Speaker 2: Man, and I always ask this.

  Speaker 1: Question, are you connected to your local are you connected

  Speaker 1: to a family of God? Are you connected to God?

  Speaker 1: And a lot of people say I used to be

  Speaker 1: or they say yeah, I used to go to church

  Speaker 1: and some of the hurt came from church. Whatever the

  Speaker 1: and worse, and it seems like God's not even caring

  Speaker 1: about you, that God's not even listening. You've been to
• 7:47
  Speaker 1: that space and that place before. Well, I got some
• 7:50
  Speaker 1: news for you, Amen, that you're not the only one
• 7:53
  Speaker 1: number one that faces that and that goes to that,
• 7:56
  Speaker 1: but that there is a God in heaven, a man,
• 7:59
  Speaker 1: a father, our father in heaven, who really cares for

  Speaker 1: you and cares for me enough so that he wrote
• 8:05
  Speaker 1: something for us in the scriptures.

  Speaker 2: So how do you handle life struggles?

  Speaker 1: Psalms chapter sixty two, verse number eight, Bible says, trust,

  Speaker 1: trust confidently in Him at all times, old people, pour

  Speaker 1: out your heart before him. God is a refuge for
• 8:36
  Speaker 1: us sailah. And some theologians say that word selah means

  Speaker 1: pause and ponder and think about what God has said, Amen,

  Speaker 1: and think about what He's doing in your life. Take
• 8:50
  Speaker 1: a moment to pause, Amen. So trust first and foremost

  Speaker 1: in any struggle that you are our fates. The very

  Speaker 1: first thing that pops up is are you going to
• 9:05
  Speaker 1: trust God or not.

  Speaker 1: Be honest, I know I face that when I'm going

  Speaker 1: through stuff, I'm not gonna trust God or not, or

  Speaker 1: I'm gonna try to create my own plan and do

  Speaker 1: do it my own way and figure it all out.

  Speaker 1: I say that often, I'm starting to not say it

  Speaker 1: as much as I used to that I'll figure it

  Speaker 2: I can't get it figured out.

  Speaker 1: If I could figure it out some of my life struggles, Amen,

  Speaker 1: I wouldn't need God, but I need God at all times,

  Speaker 1: pouring out my heart before Him often.

  Speaker 2: Amen. And you could too. God is a why why God?

  Speaker 2: He's a why God? Why God? Well?

  Speaker 1: Because God is a refuge for us, and that's good news,

  Speaker 1: something we could rely on, someone we can rely on.

  Speaker 1: His word is reliable, trustworthy.

  Speaker 1: And we know those who are in Christ. We know

  Speaker 1: that we don't struggle for no apparent reason. There's a

  Speaker 1: purpose in our struggle. There's a savior who's with us

  Speaker 1: in our struggle. There's a redeemer who's with us in
• 10:17
  Speaker 1: our struggle. And life has a whole bunch of struggles.
• 10:21
  Speaker 1: That's why the Bible says the day has its own problems.
• 10:25
  Speaker 1: The day has its own problems. You ever thought about that,
• 10:28
  Speaker 1: and on top of it all, the next day still comes.
• 10:32
  Speaker 2: You could be having the worst day of your life.

  Speaker 1: And if you're not trusting in God, you get to figure, well,
• 10:39
  Speaker 1: I'm on my own on this, but you're never alone.

  Speaker 1: And have you noticed that the next day still comes?
• 10:45
  Speaker 1: And a lot of people, since they don't know your struggles,
• 10:47
  Speaker 1: they keep it moving, They keep it moving, and they
• 10:53
  Speaker 1: just go about their way. Amen, And I just I'll

  Speaker 1: have to look at my notes again. Has been happening?

  Speaker 1: I got a solution for why this keeps not happening.

  Speaker 1: But pray for me because I always don't do it,
• 11:11
  Speaker 1: but I'm going to do it moving forward.

  Speaker 1: And man, I don't and listen, I don't get surprised

  Speaker 1: anymore of these little things that happened while I'm doing

  Speaker 1: a live more than devotion. I know there's an enemy

  Speaker 1: who doesn't want someone to hear or to recognize the
• 11:30
  Speaker 1: power of God's word in their life.

  Speaker 2: But what I do is I.

  Speaker 1: Smile and I keep on moving right, So let me

  Speaker 1: try to find my notes quickly.

  Speaker 2: and right, that's your work. Trusting in God first and

  Speaker 1: Any situation, actually with your health, with your relationships with life.

  Speaker 1: But when you're struggling, Amen, how much more should we

  Speaker 1: be in this trust situation with God? He's trustworthy at

  Speaker 1: all times. So handing their life struggles involves a lot

  Speaker 1: of things, but first and foremost, it relies on the
• 12:26
  Speaker 1: truth of who we are in God's kingdom, matter I matter,
• 12:34
  Speaker 1: he provides. He's first on the scene, He's the first responder.

  Speaker 1: You're not alone in your struggles. God promises to never
• 12:44
  Speaker 1: leave you or forsake you Hebrews chapter thirteen to five.

  Speaker 2: Just in case you don't know where that was. Amen.

  Speaker 1: People think that's just the say that God will never
• 12:53
  Speaker 1: leave you, no forsake you. People think that's just a
• 12:55
  Speaker 1: phrase that Christians use to get by. Is actually the

  Speaker 1: world to God a powerful word, Amen, that we could

  Speaker 1: rely on and trust.

  Speaker 2: He will never leave you, no for sake you. So

  Speaker 1: Struggling in life and life throws everything at you, Amen,

  Speaker 1: thought about that when you have a diagnosis, when you

  Speaker 1: get some bad news from the doctor, you start realizing

  Speaker 1: there's no one else but God and good health, diets

  Speaker 1: a die plan before you get the medication, go to

  Speaker 1: the God, who is the God of all gods, who

  Speaker 1: is the great physician.

  Speaker 1: I will always tell people that because I know. How

  Speaker 1: about I always think about it. How about if I

  Speaker 1: get bad news, I'm not going to ride away, go

  Speaker 1: through the medications and we'll go right away and trusting

  Speaker 1: in the medical situation, which I have nothing against. Well,

  Speaker 1: I actually do, but that's not for now. I have

  Speaker 1: a lot against the medical feel but I trust God

  Speaker 1: even through the medication. I trust God even through this

  Speaker 1: situation right Why because I know He will never leave

  Speaker 1: me nor forsake me. And if there is a lesson

  Speaker 1: to learn through it, I want to be the first

  Speaker 1: to learn it.

  Speaker 2: Is it gonna be easy? Absolutely not. Who are we kidding?

  Speaker 1: Just people that I know personally that praise God through

  Speaker 1: the storm. It's hard for me to praise God through

  Speaker 1: the storm, but I do it anyway. It's hard for

  Speaker 1: me to praise God while I'm going through life struggles,

  Speaker 1: but I do it anyway. When I'm facing financial issues

  Speaker 1: relational issues, I trust God anyway because I.

  Speaker 2: Know his word is true. He will never leave me

  Speaker 2: nor forsake me.

  Speaker 1: So whatever's going on and whatever I have to go through, amen,

  Speaker 1: I'm not going through it alone. Plus, I have brothers

  Speaker 1: and sisters in Christ, a wife who believes in the Lord,

  Speaker 1: who loves God, children who've aly on me and trust
• 14:57
  Speaker 1: my decisions.

  Speaker 1: I have a church family, I have pastors, I have

  Speaker 1: believers in Christ, I have spiritual parents.

  Speaker 1: So I really have no excuse to not trust God

  Speaker 1: because God himself is trustworthy and everyone who's filled with

  Speaker 1: his spirit don't. We're not supposed to let everybody else,

  Speaker 1: although any other brother and sister go through life struggles
• 15:19
  Speaker 1: alone anyway. So God would never leave us, that's his promise.

  Speaker 1: He would never forsake us. So we have an assurance,

  Speaker 1: not insurance. We have assurance. It means that no matter
• 15:30
  Speaker 1: what you face and what I face in life, the
• 15:34
  Speaker 1: struggles that we face, God is with you. And when

  Speaker 1: God is with you, he provides strength and he provides comfort.

  Speaker 1: Nobody else like him while we're going through it. While

  Speaker 1: we're going through it. I had a rough couple of

  Speaker 1: couple of weeks now, amen, and I'm like, Okay, I
• 15:51
  Speaker 1: see it. So I didn't raise my hand for it,
• 15:54
  Speaker 1: but Amen, but I see it. But I know who
• 15:57
  Speaker 1: God is in my life. So if it's from the enemy,

  Speaker 1: because sometimes it's from God, God will allow certain things

  Speaker 1: to straighten us out. But if it's from the enemy,

  Speaker 1: it's like a ha haa moment. The enemy will never
• 16:09
  Speaker 1: defeat me. The enemy will never defeat you. When we

  Speaker 1: have holy spirit of living inside of us, the victory

  Speaker 1: is ours.

  Speaker 2: Amen. No matter what we face, no matter what.

  Speaker 1: Life struggles, come away. And I'm starting to get real

  Speaker 1: stubborn with that.

  Speaker 1: And I know I'm giving the enemy a headache. Like, man,

  Speaker 1: I'm throwing all this stuff at him, and he still

  Speaker 1: trusts God. I throw all this stuff at him and

  Speaker 1: he still ministers and serves other people.

  Speaker 2: Right, what else am I gonna do? There's no other

  Speaker 2: place to go.

  Speaker 1: I'm not gonna run. I'm never scared. I was never

  Speaker 1: scared in the world when I was living in the world.

  Speaker 1: Why I would it be afraid now that I'm in

  Speaker 1: the Kingdom of God. Right, doesn't make any sense to me. Rosie, God,

  Speaker 1: the old way that we used to struggle in life

  Speaker 1: used to be maybe substance abuse, drug, sex, alcohol. Remember

  Speaker 1: how we used to struggle when when life threw some
• 17:22
  Speaker 1: curveballs at us, we used to go straight to those things.

  Speaker 1: Now that we have a new identity in Christ, we
• 17:28
  Speaker 1: go straight to being sober. We go straight to being
• 17:31
  Speaker 1: sober minded, go straight to prayer, We go straight to
• 17:33
  Speaker 1: people who love us. We go straight to God, we
• 17:36
  Speaker 1: go straight to the word.

  Speaker 1: So now we have a weapon of choice and we

  Speaker 1: choose life now. Sometimes life struggles are so hard for

  Speaker 1: people that they want to give it all up. There's

  Speaker 1: a lot of people who want to just give it

  Speaker 1: all up. But we have a God who's with us

  Speaker 1: us peace. We go to God that protects and gods us.

  Speaker 1: We go to God first, and all things we should

  Speaker 1: And that's why being a believer in Christ should be

  Speaker 1: in the Kingdom of God. We're all children in the

  Speaker 1: that the power of life struggles, especially when it has

  Speaker 1: to do with sin, no longer has power over us.

  Speaker 1: I repeat, the power of sin, if you're born again,
