- 3:34SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 3:36SPEAKER_03: That's whole the whole Brian Regan thing.
- 3:38SPEAKER_03: The whole thing exactly.
- 3:39SPEAKER_05: That's the whole thing.

- 4:16SPEAKER_05: You wanna you wanna get a pizza?
- 4:19SPEAKER_03: What is what made me say that?
- 4:22SPEAKER_03: I think it was because my sister had called, but there was something you had said in the beginning that made Well I was trying to figure out what she she was doing.
- 4:29SPEAKER_05: I asked what she was No, no, before that.
- 4:32SPEAKER_03: Before I even went into that whole bit about my sister.
- 4:35SPEAKER_03: Uh anyway.
- 4:36SPEAKER_03: There was something that made me think of uh of of that phone call.
- 4:40SPEAKER_03: Um But anyway, uh so she's doing something new.

- 4:53SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we do that.
- 4:54SPEAKER_03: What did we talk about?
- 4:54SPEAKER_03: Uh we did it at the end of every podcast.
- 4:56SPEAKER_03: Yeah, what did we talk about?
- 4:58SPEAKER_03: I gotta write up a um uh synopsis of the podcast.
- 5:01SPEAKER_03: What did we talk about?
- 5:02SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 5:03SPEAKER_03: We have to go back and go back and listen to you.
- 5:06SPEAKER_05: Oh yeah, we talked about that.
- 5:07SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 5:08SPEAKER_05: Oh yeah, we talked about that.
- 5:09SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 5:11SPEAKER_05: Uh we need we need it, we need a stenographer, like a court stenographer, right?
- 5:16SPEAKER_03: Just to sit over there and just be like, Well, isn't that what Miss Judges does?
- 5:19SPEAKER_03: That's her job, isn't it?
- 5:21SPEAKER_05: Yes, that's exactly what she does.
- 5:23SPEAKER_05: She's a lawyer slash court stenographer.
- 5:26SPEAKER_05: Yeah, have some, yes, have some.
- 5:27SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 5:28SPEAKER_05: Um and she's a judge.
- 5:30SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 5:32SPEAKER_05: That's what she does.
- 5:34SPEAKER_05: Um there was something I was gonna tell you though.
- 5:36SPEAKER_05: I don't know.
- 5:37SPEAKER_05: I did get her uh wedding invitation in the mail to uh the other day.
- 5:41SPEAKER_03: Yeah?
- 5:42SPEAKER_05: Really nice.
- 5:43SPEAKER_03: Yeah?
- 5:43SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 5:44SPEAKER_05: I mean, there's like you you open uh because I I got I got it and I was like, wow, this is kind of rigid.
- 5:49SPEAKER_05: I thought I was like, you know, what's going on here?
- 5:51SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 5:52SPEAKER_05: I actually I looked at the return address and I was like, who the hell?
- 5:56SPEAKER_03: What was the return address?
- 5:57SPEAKER_05: I'm not telling you.
- 6:05SPEAKER_05: And then it dawned on me.
- 6:06SPEAKER_05: I was like, oh what were the names?
- 6:08SPEAKER_05: Uh yeah, exactly.
- 6:10SPEAKER_05: And uh so I'm trying, man.
- 6:16SPEAKER_05: Uh so I opened up.
- 6:18SPEAKER_05: It's it's it's really nice.
- 6:19SPEAKER_05: The the it's all black and it's like goldish writing.
- 6:23SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 6:23SPEAKER_05: You know, the date and then where to be and all that stuff.
- 6:26SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 6:26SPEAKER_05: And then there's a re you know, reply card on, you know.
- 6:30SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 6:30SPEAKER_03: You still don't know who it is?
- 6:32SPEAKER_05: I know who it is now.
- 6:33SPEAKER_05: Oh, okay.
- 6:33SPEAKER_05: Of course not.
- 6:34SPEAKER_05: Well, it just it was just through me for a second because I'm not used to seeing his name.
- 6:40SPEAKER_05: Who what's his name?
- 6:41SPEAKER_05: Uh Steve.
- 6:44SPEAKER_05: It was it was addressed as Steve Steve and Miss Judgeness.
- 6:48SPEAKER_05: Where is the wedding being held?
- 6:50SPEAKER_05: Uh in in on planet Earth.
- 6:54SPEAKER_05: It's gonna be great.
- 6:55SPEAKER_05: I didn't get an invite.
- 6:56SPEAKER_05: Because she doesn't know you.
- 6:58SPEAKER_05: Well, she does.
- 6:59SPEAKER_05: She does, but she doesn't.
- 7:01SPEAKER_05: True.
- 7:02SPEAKER_05: Of course, she can't invite you to the wedding because then that ruins the whole mystique of the judgeness.
- 7:07SPEAKER_03: It does.
- 7:08SPEAKER_03: I really want to know though.
- 7:10SPEAKER_05: Because I think she's cool.
- 7:11SPEAKER_05: Yeah, she's cool.
- 7:12SPEAKER_05: I'm I I'm just but I'm just waiting on her for her to want to be like, okay, let's re do the big reveal.
- 7:19SPEAKER_05: That's not gonna happen.
- 7:20SPEAKER_05: She might.
- 7:21SPEAKER_05: You know, you never know.
- 7:22SPEAKER_03: So I don't want them to know who I really am.
- 7:26SPEAKER_03: Anyway.
- 7:27SPEAKER_03: Um But yeah, it was a really nice invite.
- 7:29SPEAKER_03: Nice.
- 7:30SPEAKER_05: I just gotta remember to That's in September.
- 7:32SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 7:33SPEAKER_03: September.
- 7:34SPEAKER_03: Um well, good best of luck, Miss Judgness.
- 7:38SPEAKER_03: Um congratulations.
- 7:39SPEAKER_03: It's gonna be great.
- 7:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 7:41SPEAKER_03: Um they're having a taco bar.
- 7:44SPEAKER_05: Oh, see, I like her even more now.
- 7:46SPEAKER_05: Uh no, dude.
- 7:47SPEAKER_05: She's the best.
- 7:49SPEAKER_03: Um, we do have some music news.
- 7:53SPEAKER_03: Do you want to get to that?
- 7:53SPEAKER_03: Or is there anything else we're gonna talk about?
- 7:55SPEAKER_03: Um we have school shows coming up next week.
- 7:59SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 7:59SPEAKER_03: Right?
- 8:00SPEAKER_05: We we had a gig Saturday.
- 8:02SPEAKER_03: Oh, we did have a gig Saturday.
- 8:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 8:03SPEAKER_03: It was awful, but great.
- 8:05SPEAKER_03: It was awful.
- 8:06SPEAKER_05: It was terrible.
- 8:08SPEAKER_03: Well, I mean, here's here and here's why.
- 8:10SPEAKER_03: So there was a there was a teenage uh band there that afternoon before we were there.
- 8:17SPEAKER_03: And they were really good.
- 8:18SPEAKER_03: Band called Train Wreck.
- 8:19SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 8:20SPEAKER_03: Um really good.
- 8:21SPEAKER_03: I went and saw the end of their set.
- 8:23SPEAKER_03: Um, and then we played at six o'clock, so we set our stuff up and you know, the whole basically the whole crowd left.
- 8:30SPEAKER_03: Uh when that high school band left.
- 8:32SPEAKER_03: Which is fine, because it's a different thing.
- 8:34SPEAKER_03: Oh, I get it.
- 8:35SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 8:35SPEAKER_05: I totally get it.
- 8:36SPEAKER_03: Um so we had so the there was people in the bar section, and then where we were performing, there were two people.
- 8:45SPEAKER_03: And then we had I think we had the attention of one, two, three, five people.
- 8:50unknown: Right.
- 8:51SPEAKER_05: Essentially, yeah.
- 8:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah, essentially five people.
- 8:53SPEAKER_03: Uh so in that sense, it was kind of crappy because I mean we would sing a song and the the bar would get we would get no reaction from the bar.
- 9:02SPEAKER_05: Yeah, but we're used to that.
- 9:03SPEAKER_03: We are used to that.
- 9:04SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 9:04SPEAKER_03: But I will tell you, uh, I had a lot of fun.
- 9:07SPEAKER_03: And here's why.
- 9:08SPEAKER_03: We played a lot of our own songs.
- 9:10SPEAKER_05: Yep.
- 9:11SPEAKER_03: Uh more than we usually do.
- 9:13SPEAKER_03: More than we usually do.
- 9:14SPEAKER_03: And we played some I think we played some songs that either we've never done before or we haven't done for a long time.
- 9:20SPEAKER_05: Yeah, a lot of them were like we've done in the past, but we haven't done in like forever.
- 9:24SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 9:24SPEAKER_05: So that was fun.
- 9:25SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 9:26SPEAKER_05: I enjoyed that.
- 9:26SPEAKER_05: Yeah, me too.
- 9:27SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 9:27SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 9:27SPEAKER_03: Me too.
- 9:28SPEAKER_03: Um didn't make much in tips because we didn't have a whole lot of people there, which is fine.
- 9:34SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I get it.
- 9:34SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 9:35SPEAKER_03: Me too.
- 9:36SPEAKER_03: We have uh a couple uh I'm excited about a couple of things we got coming up.
- 9:40SPEAKER_03: We're playing a couple new places.
- 9:41SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 9:42SPEAKER_05: Um because it's always Well, so far this has been a year for new places because we played Lime Rock back in January.
- 9:49SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 9:50SPEAKER_05: Uh and then the next the two weeks.
- 9:52SPEAKER_05: We shut them down.
- 9:53SPEAKER_05: Yeah, then we were so good that they were like, hey, we just can't have any more bands here.
- 9:59SPEAKER_05: Because everybody's just like, Where are O'Brien and Doug?
- 10:02SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 10:03SPEAKER_05: And we're like, well, they're they were playing other places, and they're like, Well, if we can't have them F you, we're going to someplace else.
- 10:10SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 10:10SPEAKER_05: So we had to shut the whole restaurant down.
- 10:12SPEAKER_05: Thanks a lot, guys.
- 10:13SPEAKER_05: You're jerks.
- 10:14SPEAKER_05: Love and kisses, Lime Rock golfing.
- 10:17SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, Lime Rock decided that uh they weren't gonna have any musical entertainment, at least for a while.
- 10:23SPEAKER_05: Yeah, probably it it might pick up in the summertime.
- 10:25SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it might.
- 10:26SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it might.
- 10:27SPEAKER_05: Once once golfing season starts.
- 10:29SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 10:29SPEAKER_03: Until we see an ad for for an act that's playing Lime Rock in the movie.
- 10:33SPEAKER_03: Then I'll be like, hey, sign up a monkey.
- 10:35SPEAKER_03: Yeah, because the same thing happened with another place that we were doing.
- 10:37SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I'm still mad at them.
- 10:39SPEAKER_03: Two other places.
- 10:40SPEAKER_05: Two other places.
- 10:42SPEAKER_03: Rendezvous.
- 10:43SPEAKER_05: Oh, yeah.
- 10:44SPEAKER_03: Northeastland.
- 10:45SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 10:45SPEAKER_05: They did screw us over.
- 10:46SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they did.
- 10:47SPEAKER_03: But that's okay.
- 10:48SPEAKER_03: Um, so yeah, we're playing um Sizzle and Slice and Caribou.
- 10:54SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 10:54SPEAKER_03: Uh, and then we're playing a new place in Holton called Bastion's Tavern.
- 10:58SPEAKER_03: Not a new place, a new place for us.
- 10:59SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 10:59SPEAKER_03: They've been around for a while, so so I'm excited about those because it's like winning them over.
- 11:04SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it's like going into you know enemy territory and trying to be like, hey, right, don't kill us.
- 11:09SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 11:10SPEAKER_05: We're okay.
- 11:10SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 11:11SPEAKER_03: So there's a little bit of excitement there.
- 11:13SPEAKER_03: I'm excited about it.
- 11:14SPEAKER_05: Well, that day, the day we played up the Sizzles and Slice, we're also doing that we're also doing the modern band festival that day.
- 11:24SPEAKER_05: So that's gonna be a long day.
- 11:25SPEAKER_03: It will be a long day, but that's okay.
- 11:26SPEAKER_03: I think it's fine.
- 11:27SPEAKER_03: I think we'll be running on uh adrenaline at that point.
- 11:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 11:30SPEAKER_03: I I agree.
- 11:31SPEAKER_05: Um You think Kevin's gonna let us play a a song or two?
- 11:35SPEAKER_05: Because basically all of Skinny Elvis is there.
- 11:38SPEAKER_03: Well, you know, we did that um f last time, last year.
- 11:41SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 11:41SPEAKER_03: The uh I told you the the representative from Music Will from Modern Band Music Will uh came up and we worked on um a combination Eurythmics, uh Sweet Dreams Are Made of This, and there was another song that we went into.
- 12:00SPEAKER_03: Um kind of married them together.
- 12:02SPEAKER_03: It was kind of neat.
- 12:03SPEAKER_03: So we practiced it and we opened we opened the festival with it.
- 12:07SPEAKER_03: Oh, okay.
- 12:07SPEAKER_03: So I mean there's a chance that we'll play a song or two, yeah.
- 12:12SPEAKER_03: Um so anyway, what was I gonna say?
- 12:17SPEAKER_03: Oh uh before I forget, Jay Green has a new band.
- 12:21SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I saw that.
- 12:21SPEAKER_03: It's not a new band.
- 12:23SPEAKER_03: It's it's no pressure, right?
- 12:24SPEAKER_03: It is no pressure.
- 12:25SPEAKER_03: Yeah, uh they reformed.
- 12:26SPEAKER_03: They well, so um the lead singer, Josh, is not the not there anymore.
- 12:32SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 12:33SPEAKER_03: Pat is got is done.
- 12:34SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 12:36SPEAKER_03: And so you had uh Leo Sirwa on guitar and you had Tony Dow on bass.
- 12:41SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 12:41SPEAKER_03: And it this was their baby.
- 12:43SPEAKER_03: They, you know, they and and Leo Sierwa is friends with Jay Green.
- 12:47SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 12:48SPEAKER_03: And Jay, as you know, has been just chomping at the bit to do something because he's got all this gear and all these guitars and he's not playing anywhere.
- 12:56SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 12:57SPEAKER_03: And so Andy Martin, who Jay used to be in a band with a long time ago, Black Moon.
- 13:02SPEAKER_03: Right, um, plays drums and sings.
- 13:05SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 13:05SPEAKER_03: So so they said, let's let's let's Wasn't he in JG and the Moneymaker?
- 13:10SPEAKER_03: He was, yeah.
- 13:10SPEAKER_03: It was it was it was uh it was Jay, myself, uh Andy Martin, and uh Mike Neto on bass.
- 13:16SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 13:17SPEAKER_03: And so and we had to we had to kind of shelve that because Mike moved to Guam.
- 13:23SPEAKER_03: Selfish jerk.
- 13:25SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 13:25SPEAKER_05: I'm gonna move to tropical paradise.
- 13:27SPEAKER_05: You then you guys can have your stupid band.
- 13:30SPEAKER_03: We had a cool thing too.
- 13:31SPEAKER_03: It was like a very blues rock thing.
- 13:33SPEAKER_03: Anyway, uh so Andy and Jay uh uh got a hold of Leo and they said, well, let's keep this thing going.
- 13:40SPEAKER_03: So they've been sharing uh, you know, video of them rehearsing and stuff like that, and they're doing like Huey Lewis and the news and a couple other things, and they've already got merchandise, and so I'm excited for them.
- 13:50SPEAKER_03: I think it's it's it's pretty cool.
- 13:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I don't know.
- 13:53SPEAKER_03: The band is called No Pressure, so look no pressure up on Facebook.
- 13:55SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 13:56SPEAKER_03: Um where was I where was I going?
- 13:59SPEAKER_05: I don't know.
- 13:59SPEAKER_05: I don't either.
- 14:00SPEAKER_05: I don't know.
- 14:01SPEAKER_05: What are you guys gonna do with the podcast?
- 14:02SPEAKER_05: I don't know.
- 14:03SPEAKER_05: I don't know.
- 14:06SPEAKER_03: Uh oh yeah.
- 14:08SPEAKER_05: That's the name of the episode.
- 14:09SPEAKER_05: I don't know.
- 14:09SPEAKER_05: I don't know.
- 14:13SPEAKER_03: Or or uh it'd be it'd be uh comma.
- 14:18SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 14:18SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 14:20SPEAKER_03: Um did you ever see that?
- 14:22SPEAKER_03: Here we are going off on a tangent again.
- 14:24SPEAKER_03: Did you ever see that guy that uh the it was uh it was viral?
- 14:29SPEAKER_03: He was doing like news reports, uh uh they were interviewing him.
- 14:33SPEAKER_03: It was mock, it was not a real thing.
- 14:35SPEAKER_03: Uh but he was like talking about uh devil worship and he was like, I don't know, I don't know.
- 14:40SPEAKER_03: Do you know what I'm talking about?
- 14:41SPEAKER_05: Maybe it was this was a while ago.
- 14:43SPEAKER_05: A long time ago.
- 14:43SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 14:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 14:44SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 14:45SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 14:45SPEAKER_03: Is it gonna be this?
- 14:46SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 14:47SPEAKER_03: Do you know you know what I mean?
- 14:48SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I know.
- 14:48SPEAKER_03: Okay, yeah, yeah.
- 14:49SPEAKER_03: That that's what I thought of when I did that.
- 14:51SPEAKER_03: Anyway.
- 14:52SPEAKER_03: Um Holy cow.
- 14:54SPEAKER_03: We are really all over the place.
- 14:55SPEAKER_03: Squirrel! Squirrel! Uh oh there are school shows.
- 14:59SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 15:00SPEAKER_03: Next uh next Friday.
- 15:01SPEAKER_03: Next Friday, yeah.
- 15:02SPEAKER_03: I like school shows for for two reasons.
- 15:04SPEAKER_03: Because I like playing for for actually three reasons.
- 15:08SPEAKER_03: I like playing for the kids.
- 15:09SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 15:11SPEAKER_03: Uh I like playing with the band.
- 15:13SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 15:14SPEAKER_03: I like not going to work.
- 15:16SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 15:16SPEAKER_05: It checks all the boxes.
- 15:18SPEAKER_05: Checks all the boxes.
- 15:19SPEAKER_05: Yeah, baby.
- 15:20SPEAKER_05: So well, I I like I mean, I I've said it before and I'll say it again.
- 15:23SPEAKER_05: I've I I'll play for kids any day of the week, twice on Sunday.
- 15:26SPEAKER_03: Oh yeah.
- 15:27SPEAKER_05: Because it's especially littler kids.
- 15:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 15:29SPEAKER_05: High schoolers.
- 15:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 15:31SPEAKER_05: Because they're not, they're they're too cool for school.
- 15:33SPEAKER_03: So remind me, I don't mean to interrupt, but so we're doing wisdom in the morning.
- 15:38SPEAKER_05: I believe wisdom in the morning.
- 15:39SPEAKER_03: And that is just little kids?
- 15:41SPEAKER_05: No, I think it's the whole school.
- 15:43SPEAKER_03: That's the whole school.
- 15:43SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 15:44SPEAKER_05: And then Madawaska in the afternoon, and that's the whole school, too.
- 15:48SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 15:49SPEAKER_05: Because last time we played Madawaska a couple years ago, we only did elementary.
- 15:53SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 15:54SPEAKER_05: But apparently the the new music teacher up there wants the whole school to be part of that.
- 16:02SPEAKER_05: That'll be fun.
- 16:03SPEAKER_05: It's gonna be fun.
- 16:04SPEAKER_05: I like playing the valley anyway.
- 16:05SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 16:05unknown: Yeah.
- 16:06SPEAKER_05: We always we always do well in Madawaska in the summertime.
- 16:09SPEAKER_05: Yep.
- 16:09SPEAKER_05: So maybe, maybe a little spill over.
- 16:12SPEAKER_05: Yep.
- 16:13SPEAKER_05: We only have uh like four gigs this summer.
- 16:16SPEAKER_05: Yeah, we don't have many.
- 16:17SPEAKER_05: No, we don't.
- 16:18SPEAKER_05: Which is not necessarily a bad thing.
- 16:20SPEAKER_05: Well, we had a lot last year.
- 16:22SPEAKER_05: Like that that that span in August where we had three in a row.
- 16:25SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 16:26SPEAKER_05: That was a long span.
- 16:28SPEAKER_05: Yeah, that was.
- 16:29SPEAKER_05: So it might be good to just kind of leave the people wanting more.
- 16:34SPEAKER_03: I'm sure something will come up, but yeah, four.
- 16:36SPEAKER_05: Probably, uh you know, Easton's probably gonna chime in.
- 16:39SPEAKER_05: What aren't they one already?
- 16:40SPEAKER_03: No, they're not.
- 16:41SPEAKER_03: It's Mars Hill.
- 16:41SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 16:42SPEAKER_03: That's right.
- 16:42SPEAKER_03: It's homecoming.
- 16:43SPEAKER_03: Mars Hill's homecoming.
- 16:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 16:44SPEAKER_03: Anyway, uh, so that's exciting.
- 16:46SPEAKER_03: You know, we got that coming up.
- 16:48SPEAKER_03: Um I did want to share this.
- 16:50SPEAKER_03: I know you've seen it.
- 16:51SPEAKER_03: I have not seen it.
- 16:53SPEAKER_03: And remind me how to pronounce her name.
- 16:57SPEAKER_05: I'm saying Anika.
- 16:59SPEAKER_03: Anika?
- 17:00SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 17:00SPEAKER_05: Is it Niles?
- 17:01SPEAKER_05: Niles, yeah.
- 17:02SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 17:02SPEAKER_05: Or Neil, you know.
- 17:03SPEAKER_05: So whatever, whatever, how they would how they would ever say it in Germany.
- 17:08SPEAKER_05: Oh, there you go.
- 17:09SPEAKER_05: Because she is German.
- 17:09SPEAKER_05: So well, wouldn't it be Annika?
- 17:12SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 17:13SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 17:13SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 17:14SPEAKER_03: Uh so what we're talking about is Hey Doug, how do you say the new Rush drummer's name?
- 17:18SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 17:19SPEAKER_03: No, no.
- 17:20SPEAKER_03: Well, did you ask?
- 17:22SPEAKER_03: No.
- 17:22SPEAKER_05: No?
- 17:23SPEAKER_05: No?
- 17:24SPEAKER_05: Not my news to give.
- 17:26SPEAKER_05: So does it say Getty Lee on my shirt?
- 17:31SPEAKER_03: Um so the they they they're what we're talking about is Rush.
- 17:38SPEAKER_03: And of course, you know they have a new drummer and they've sold out their entire tour, basically.
- 17:42SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 17:43SPEAKER_05: Well, they they kept adding dates and they would sell out.
- 17:46SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 17:46SPEAKER_05: Add another date.
- 17:47SPEAKER_05: It would sell out.
- 17:48SPEAKER_05: It was amazing.
- 17:49SPEAKER_05: Amazing.
- 17:50SPEAKER_03: Uh and they but they surprised everybody.
- 17:52SPEAKER_03: I mean, everybody.
- 17:54SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 17:54SPEAKER_05: And they also had their new keyboard player.
- 17:56SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 17:56SPEAKER_05: That's Lauren Gold, I think his name is.
- 17:58SPEAKER_03: Yep, I think you're right.
- 18:00SPEAKER_03: Um, and they were on basically Canada's version of the Grammys.
- 18:04SPEAKER_03: Called the Juno.
- 18:04SPEAKER_03: The Juno Awards.
- 18:05SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 18:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 18:06SPEAKER_03: And they did a song.
- 18:08SPEAKER_03: Uh Finding My Way.
- 18:10SPEAKER_03: Finding My Way.
- 18:11SPEAKER_03: Which is not their first album.
- 18:12SPEAKER_03: Yes, and I'll tell you why they did that here in a second.
- 18:15SPEAKER_03: So I I just want to play this a little bit.
- 19:23SPEAKER_03: So there has been a little bit of backlash from this.
- 19:29SPEAKER_03: Everybody was pumped that they were on there.
- 19:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 19:32SPEAKER_03: But they were saying this was too simple a song to show Anika's, you know, drumming.
- 19:42SPEAKER_05: Come on.
- 19:45SPEAKER_03: All these, you know, these keyboard warriors.
- 19:48SPEAKER_05: Well, number one, it's not even Neil on this album.
- 19:54SPEAKER_03: Right, that's true.
- 19:55SPEAKER_05: It's it's John Rugby.
- 19:56SPEAKER_05: Yes, this is from the first album.
- 19:57SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 19:58SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 19:58SPEAKER_05: So it so she really has no and John Rugby died years ago.
- 20:03SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 20:03SPEAKER_05: So, I mean, who who are we comparing her to?
- 20:07SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 20:08SPEAKER_05: You know what I'm saying?
- 20:10SPEAKER_05: So she's really making this her own, and it sounds very, very, very close to the original.
- 20:16SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 20:16SPEAKER_03: So um, so I I read an interview um that they did about this afterwards.
- 20:25SPEAKER_03: And I read it or I saw it.
- 20:28SPEAKER_03: I don't remember what it was.
- 20:30SPEAKER_03: But they knew that they were gonna do this, and they couldn't pick what song to do.
- 20:36SPEAKER_03: Um, and so they asked their record label, what what song should we do?
- 20:42SPEAKER_03: And their record executive said, first song, first album.
- 20:47SPEAKER_03: And there you go.
- 20:48SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's why they did this one.
- 20:49SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I I get it.
- 20:58SPEAKER_05: That's really it.
- 21:00SPEAKER_05: It's a really good song to like introduce her.
- 21:04SPEAKER_03: Right, because it wasn't it wasn't a huge hit or anything.
- 21:06SPEAKER_05: It wasn't a huge hit.
- 21:07SPEAKER_05: It's not it's not uh, you know, one of the the Rush songs, you know, in the Pantheon of you know, you know, Neil Peer drama, but I mean she is so freaking good.
- 21:18SPEAKER_03: She is so yeah, I she's gonna have no problem.
- 21:25SPEAKER_05: I think she's gonna kill the dude, and it is gonna be freaking great.
- 21:28SPEAKER_05: And all these morons that are, you know, naysayers or whatever, they can go, you know, suck big monkey butt.
- 21:36SPEAKER_05: Cause they're you're idiots.
- 21:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 21:39SPEAKER_05: Idiots.
- 21:40SPEAKER_03: I agree.
- 21:40SPEAKER_05: Yeah, she's not Neil.
- 21:42SPEAKER_05: We get it.
- 21:43SPEAKER_05: There's never gonna be Neil.
- 21:45SPEAKER_03: She's Anika.
- 21:46SPEAKER_05: She's Anika, and she's killing it, right?
- 21:48SPEAKER_05: She's rocking it.
- 21:48SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 21:49SPEAKER_05: I find it interest what I find interesting is that Getty uh is Getty no longer playing the keyboards.
- 21:55SPEAKER_05: That's why they brought a keyboard or stone, or is this just so he can call?
- 22:00SPEAKER_05: Concentrated on singing and bass, he doesn't have to worry about doing all three at the same time while inventing chords.
- 22:05SPEAKER_03: Probably a little bit of both.
- 22:06SPEAKER_05: Yep.
- 22:08SPEAKER_05: It makes sense.
- 22:08SPEAKER_05: I mean, I I mean I don't care.
- 22:10SPEAKER_05: I think it's great, you know.
- 22:11SPEAKER_05: I do too.
- 22:11SPEAKER_05: Because this is like this is not the rush that we grew up on.
- 22:16SPEAKER_05: This is this is rush 2.0.
- 22:18SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 22:19SPEAKER_05: So but sounds pretty great.
- 22:22SPEAKER_05: It sounds great.
- 22:23SPEAKER_05: Sounds pretty great.
- 22:23SPEAKER_05: Getty sounds great.
- 22:24SPEAKER_05: Alex sounds great.
- 22:26SPEAKER_05: I mean, they haven't lost really a stat.
- 22:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I'm I'm I'm not that I'm going to see them, but I'm glad to see that they're that they're doing this.
- 22:42SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean, I I'd have to sell my car.
- 22:44SPEAKER_05: Oh, yeah.
- 22:45SPEAKER_05: You know, and there's no way I gotta go to a rush show.
- 22:50SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 22:50SPEAKER_03: I mean, wouldn't it be great if someone said, hey, uh uh, I got these tickets, but uh I can't go.
- 22:57SPEAKER_03: Do you know anybody that can would like to go?
- 22:59SPEAKER_03: Like, ooh, ooh, pick me, Mr.
- 23:01unknown: Kata.
- 23:02SPEAKER_03: Um, all right.
- 23:04SPEAKER_03: In other news, Eric Clapton's uh new guitar uh crossroads guitar festival 2026 has Did a three-year-old make that?
- 23:13SPEAKER_03: You like that?
- 23:13SPEAKER_05: I'm not crazy, but that's a lot of color.
- 23:16SPEAKER_05: That is uh too much color.
- 23:17SPEAKER_05: I can't I can barely read the words.
- 23:20SPEAKER_03: Uh let's see.
- 23:22SPEAKER_03: There are some people that are taking part that uh have been in the lineup almost every year.
- 23:27SPEAKER_03: Okay um, but there's also a few new ones.
- 23:31SPEAKER_03: Pete Townsend of The Who really is gonna be.
- 23:35SPEAKER_03: That's an interesting choice.
- 23:36SPEAKER_03: Um it's in Texas again.
- 23:38SPEAKER_03: It's gonna be in Austin for the first time, uh, September 26th through the 27th.
- 23:43SPEAKER_03: Clapton's gonna perform both nights.
- 23:45SPEAKER_03: Tickets go on sale this Friday, April 3rd.
- 23:48SPEAKER_03: Uh one million dollars.
- 23:51SPEAKER_03: Let's see.
- 23:51SPEAKER_03: I'm trying to think.
- 23:52SPEAKER_03: Does it show yeah, who else is playing this year's Crowns?
- 23:54SPEAKER_03: Tedesky Trucks band?
- 23:56SPEAKER_03: Cool.
- 23:56SPEAKER_03: Uh Joe Bonamasa.
- 23:58SPEAKER_03: Cool.
- 23:58SPEAKER_03: Del McCrory band.
- 23:59SPEAKER_03: Really?
- 24:00SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 24:00SPEAKER_03: Bluegrass.
- 24:01SPEAKER_03: John Mayer, uh Jimmy Vaughn.
- 24:04SPEAKER_05: Well, uh well, John Mayer has played uh quite a few.
- 24:06SPEAKER_05: Oh, he has, yep.
- 24:07SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 24:07SPEAKER_03: Trey Anastasio of Fish.
- 24:10SPEAKER_05: Okay, that's a little weird, but alright.
- 24:11SPEAKER_03: But he's a great guitar player.
- 24:12SPEAKER_05: He is a good guitar player, yeah.
- 24:13SPEAKER_03: Marcus King, Taj Mahal.
- 24:15SPEAKER_03: Uh Taj Mahal.
- 24:16SPEAKER_03: Cool.
- 24:17SPEAKER_03: Sierra Hull, who is a um mandolin player.
- 24:20SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 24:21SPEAKER_03: Uh fantastic.
- 24:22SPEAKER_03: Sonny Landreth.
- 24:23SPEAKER_03: Ooh.
- 24:24SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 24:24SPEAKER_03: Tommy Emmanuel, uh, Julian Laj, which is a new addition.
- 24:29SPEAKER_03: He's an acoustic guitar.
- 24:30SPEAKER_03: He's Randy King's favorite guitar player.
- 24:31SPEAKER_03: Really?
- 24:32SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 24:32SPEAKER_03: Cool.
- 24:32SPEAKER_03: Uh Kev Moe, Ben Haggard, John McLaughlin, Robert Randolph, Pedro Martins, Dirk Powell, Kurt Rosenwinkle, Daniel Santiago, Bradley Walker, and Brothers of the Heart.
- 24:43SPEAKER_03: So some uh diversity there.
- 24:45SPEAKER_03: I mean, it's it's from all walks of life and from all genres.
- 24:49SPEAKER_03: Taylor Swift is not involved.
- 24:51SPEAKER_05: I am happy.
- 24:53SPEAKER_03: Uh so that is Did I tell the I say the date?
- 24:55SPEAKER_03: Yeah, September 26th and 27th in Austin.
- 24:59SPEAKER_03: So uh extreme.
- 25:00SPEAKER_05: Where is he I know it's usually it's usually in Texas, right?
- 25:03SPEAKER_03: Yep, this one's gonna be in Texas.
- 25:04SPEAKER_05: Where's the where has it usually been though?
- 25:06SPEAKER_03: Uh they've had it in Dallas, uh they've had it in Dallas, Texas twice?
- 25:12SPEAKER_03: Maybe just once.
- 25:12SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 25:13SPEAKER_03: They've had it in Chicago, they've had it in uh Los Angeles, I think.
- 25:18SPEAKER_03: Um I don't know how many years have they been doing it?
- 25:21SPEAKER_03: Quite a few.
- 25:22SPEAKER_03: Quite a few, yeah.
- 25:22SPEAKER_03: Quite a few.
- 25:23SPEAKER_14: Yeah.
- 25:24SPEAKER_03: Um but yeah, they said this in the article that's going back to Texas.
- 25:27SPEAKER_03: So I don't know what the last one was.
- 25:29SPEAKER_03: I have a bunch of them on DVD.
- 25:30SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I was about to say, yeah, you got a ton of them.
- 25:32SPEAKER_03: Um notice I got a cold.
- 25:36SPEAKER_03: Oh, again.
- 25:37SPEAKER_03: Oh, again.
- 25:37SPEAKER_03: Well, my daughter just got over her cold.
- 25:39SPEAKER_03: Oh, that's true.
- 25:39SPEAKER_03: So of course she gave it to me.
- 25:40SPEAKER_03: Oh, fantastic! Sharing is caring.
- 25:44SPEAKER_03: Um, all right, so I found this on ultimate classicrock.com.
- 25:49SPEAKER_03: I thought it would be fun.
- 25:51SPEAKER_03: Uh I have not looked at it.
- 25:54SPEAKER_03: I promise.
- 25:55SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 25:56SPEAKER_03: So this is Hey, did you look at that?
- 25:59SPEAKER_03: No, no, no.
- 26:00SPEAKER_03: Well, I don't want you to think that I'm cheating or anything.
- 26:04SPEAKER_03: Uh let me blow my nose for a second.
- 26:07SPEAKER_06: Well, I get it again.
- 26:14SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 26:19SPEAKER_05: Well, see, you can mute your mic, but it's still gonna pick up.
- 26:22SPEAKER_05: Mine's still gonna pick it up, so that's why.
- 26:24unknown: Ah.
- 26:26SPEAKER_03: I was just wiping.
- 26:27SPEAKER_05: I know.
- 26:27SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 26:28SPEAKER_03: Uh, Billy Joel Jeopardy questions.
- 26:31SPEAKER_03: All right.
- 26:32SPEAKER_03: How many can you correctly answer?
- 26:34SPEAKER_03: That is the title of this episode.
- 26:35SPEAKER_03: We'll see, won't we?
- 26:36SPEAKER_03: So let's kind of just slowly page down.
- 26:41SPEAKER_03: Scroll down.
- 26:42SPEAKER_03: All right.
- 26:43SPEAKER_03: Number one.
- 26:47SPEAKER_03: I don't think I will get this one, and I don't think you will get this one either.
- 26:52SPEAKER_05: Well, if you're not gonna get it, I definitely am not gonna get it.
- 26:55SPEAKER_03: Uh holy cow.
- 26:57SPEAKER_03: Let me think for a second.
- 26:58SPEAKER_03: Oh, let me say it.
- 26:59SPEAKER_03: It's songs for$200.
- 27:01SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 27:01SPEAKER_03: Billy Joel's Sleeping with the Television On samples this song played by TV stations.
- 27:08SPEAKER_03: Oh, played by TV stations at sign-off.
- 27:11SPEAKER_05: The national anthem.
- 27:12SPEAKER_05: It's a national anthem.
- 27:13SPEAKER_05: Yeah.

- 41:59SPEAKER_03: Like the 24th, I think.
- 42:00SPEAKER_03: Cool.
- 42:00SPEAKER_03: In theaters, right?
- 42:01SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 42:02SPEAKER_03: Cool.
- 42:03SPEAKER_03: Uh, okay.
- 42:04SPEAKER_05: So while we're uh They're gonna give out free Pepsi.
- 42:09SPEAKER_03: They are?
- 42:10SPEAKER_03: No.
- 42:12SPEAKER_03: Don't do that.
- 42:14SPEAKER_03: It's time for another poorly explained movie, 80s edition.
- 42:18SPEAKER_09: Yay!
- 42:19SPEAKER_03: I have chosen three I think you'll get.
- 42:21SPEAKER_03: Oh, you did you already do it?
- 42:22SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I did.
- 42:23SPEAKER_03: When did you do that?
- 42:24SPEAKER_03: Uh before you got here.
- 42:25SPEAKER_05: Oh.
- 42:25SPEAKER_05: Wow, you're looking you.
- 42:26SPEAKER_03: I've chosen being prepared and stuff.
- 42:29SPEAKER_03: Three I think you'll get.
- 42:31SPEAKER_03: One that I don't think you'll get.
- 42:32SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 42:33SPEAKER_03: And I hope I'm pleasantly surprised.
- 42:35SPEAKER_03: Alright.
- 42:36SPEAKER_03: Uh, okay.
- 42:37SPEAKER_03: My goal is four for four.
- 42:38SPEAKER_03: We may have done this one already.
- 42:40SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 42:40SPEAKER_03: Uh it's because it sounds familiar, but maybe we haven't.
- 42:44SPEAKER_03: Uh this is the explanation.
- 42:47SPEAKER_03: A teen ruins a royal wedding.
- 42:53SPEAKER_05: Teen royals a ruin royal wedding.
- 42:57SPEAKER_05: Is it coming to America?
- 42:59SPEAKER_03: Nope.
- 42:59SPEAKER_03: No?
- 42:59SPEAKER_03: You want the hint?
- 43:00SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 43:00SPEAKER_03: With the help of a crab.
- 43:02SPEAKER_03: The help of a crab?
- 43:04SPEAKER_05: Is that a little mermaid?
- 43:06SPEAKER_05: It is.
- 43:07SPEAKER_05: Jeez crow.
- 43:08SPEAKER_03: 1989.
- 43:10SPEAKER_03: That is so badly explained.
- 43:14SPEAKER_03: Uh number two.
- 43:17SPEAKER_03: An heiress designs a miniature golf course.
- 43:22SPEAKER_03: Maybe you won't get this one.
- 43:25SPEAKER_03: An heiress designs a miniature golf course.
- 43:30SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna give you the hint because of the look on your face.
- 43:32SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 43:32SPEAKER_03: She has amnesia.
- 43:35SPEAKER_03: And I'm gonna give you another hint.
- 43:37SPEAKER_03: The lead characters, the the the heiress and the carpenter, are married in real life.
- 43:46SPEAKER_03: Or a couple in real life.
- 43:50SPEAKER_03: Let me read it again.
- 43:52SPEAKER_03: An heiress designs a miniature golf course.
- 43:54SPEAKER_03: I don't get that part.
- 43:56SPEAKER_03: I've seen this movie.
- 43:56SPEAKER_03: I don't get that part.
- 43:58SPEAKER_03: She has amnesia.
- 44:02SPEAKER_03: Think of a movie in the 80s where an heiress, a rich lady, gets in an accident or something and has amnesia, and then the carpenter that was working on her something assumes the role of her husband and just puts her through the ring.
- 44:24SPEAKER_05: I don't have a clue.
- 44:25SPEAKER_03: From 1987.
- 44:29SPEAKER_03: So you haven't seen Overboard?
- 44:31SPEAKER_06: No.
- 44:32SPEAKER_03: You haven't seen Overboard.
- 44:33SPEAKER_03: Okay, you would like Overboard.
- 44:34SPEAKER_03: That's a good movie.
- 44:35SPEAKER_03: Goldie Haw and Kurt Russell.
- 44:37SPEAKER_06: Oh, okay.
- 44:38SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 44:38SPEAKER_03: Watch Overboard.
- 44:40SPEAKER_03: So uh you would really like I want you to watch that movie.
- 44:45SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 44:46SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 44:46SPEAKER_03: It's cute.
- 44:47SPEAKER_03: It's funny.
- 44:47SPEAKER_05: I like Kurt Russell.
- 44:49SPEAKER_03: Uh a man hates the Rolling Stones.
- 44:54SPEAKER_05: Who doesn't?
- 44:56SPEAKER_05: Come on.
- 44:57SPEAKER_05: They made a movie about that?
- 45:00SPEAKER_03: Uh here's the hint.
- 45:02SPEAKER_03: He's an archaeologist.
- 45:04SPEAKER_05: Oh, Indiana Jones.
- 45:05SPEAKER_03: Indiana Jones.
- 45:06SPEAKER_05: And Raiders of the Raiders of the Lost Ark 1981.
- 45:09SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 45:10SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 45:11SPEAKER_03: Speaking of the Rolling Stones, one of my students, remember we were talking before we started the podcast about my high school assignment.
- 45:18SPEAKER_03: One of my students did the Rolling Stones.
- 45:19SPEAKER_03: Which one?
- 45:21SPEAKER_03: Or which song, I mean.
- 45:22SPEAKER_03: No, no, no.
- 45:23SPEAKER_03: They did a slide show.
- 45:24SPEAKER_03: Oh, uh.
- 45:25SPEAKER_03: Rolling Stones was their favorite artist.
- 45:27SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 45:28SPEAKER_03: Female student.
- 45:28SPEAKER_03: Female student.
- 45:30SPEAKER_03: And she had pictures and she said, uh this uh so this is Charlie Watts with his drummer.
- 45:37SPEAKER_03: He did.
- 45:38SPEAKER_03: He did.
- 45:38SPEAKER_03: Yeah, he did.
- 45:40SPEAKER_03: Uh Brian Jones was a guitar player.
- 45:42SPEAKER_03: He did.
- 45:42SPEAKER_03: He did.
- 45:43SPEAKER_03: And then she kept going on, and then and Keith Richards is a guitar player.
- 45:47SPEAKER_03: I said, he'd been dead a long time.
- 45:48SPEAKER_03: Yeah, he should be dead.
- 45:49SPEAKER_03: She looked at me, she's like, What?
- 45:51SPEAKER_03: Is he really dead?
- 45:52SPEAKER_03: I was like, no, but many have said that he died a long time and he's a zombie.
- 45:55SPEAKER_05: Yeah, no, nobody's been dead for years and nobody told him.
- 45:59SPEAKER_03: But her favorite album surprised me, and I kind of left out, I let out a really?
- 46:05SPEAKER_03: And everybody looked at me like, Wow! Goat, goathead soup.
- 46:10SPEAKER_03: Really?
- 46:10SPEAKER_03: That's her favorite album from the Rolling Stones.
- 46:13SPEAKER_03: What the?
- 46:14SPEAKER_03: I yeah, I don't know.
- 46:15SPEAKER_03: Huh.
- 46:15SPEAKER_03: Kids these days.
- 46:16SPEAKER_03: Right?
- 46:17SPEAKER_03: Alright, the one I don't think you'll get, you actually'll probably get this one.
- 46:21SPEAKER_03: A seafood meal makes a man sad.
- 46:27SPEAKER_03: The hint is they were his pets from 1988.
- 46:35SPEAKER_05: Seafood meal.
- 46:37SPEAKER_03: Makes a man sad.
- 46:40SPEAKER_03: They were his pets.
- 46:45SPEAKER_05: Don't have a clue.
- 46:47SPEAKER_03: Uh John Cleese.
- 46:50SPEAKER_03: Fish named Wanda.
- 46:51SPEAKER_03: Fish called Wanda.
- 46:52SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 46:53SPEAKER_03: So you got that.
- 46:54SPEAKER_03: I'll give you that one.
- 46:55SPEAKER_05: Okay, but I don't remember that.
- 46:58SPEAKER_05: Again.
- 46:58SPEAKER_05: I saw it like once again.
- 46:59SPEAKER_05: It was a poor explanation.
- 47:01SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it's very poor.
- 47:02SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 47:02SPEAKER_05: No kidding.
- 47:04SPEAKER_05: There you go.
- 47:05SPEAKER_05: Well, that was fun.
- 47:06SPEAKER_03: I always enjoy that.
- 47:07SPEAKER_03: Me too.
- 47:08SPEAKER_03: Uh let's see.
- 47:10SPEAKER_03: You know what we have to do now?
- 47:11SPEAKER_07: Oh, it's time for everyone's favorite part of the show.
- 47:17SPEAKER_07: With everyone's favorites, O'Brien, Doug, Cousin Larry, and yours truly, Miss Judge Ness.
- 47:23SPEAKER_07: Judge Ness.
- 47:25SPEAKER_07: It's time to play mixtape.
- 47:28SPEAKER_03: Throw my tissues away.
- 47:32SPEAKER_03: Maybe.
- 47:33SPEAKER_04: Maybe.
- 47:36SPEAKER_03: There.
- 47:38SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna get another one.
- 47:40SPEAKER_03: As you can tell, I have a stuffy old nose.
- 47:44SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna mute.
- 47:58SPEAKER_03: Alright, let's do this.
- 48:01SPEAKER_03: So we are going to the past first.
- 48:06SPEAKER_03: Last week's question was.
- 48:08SPEAKER_03: You remember?
- 48:11SPEAKER_05: Wasn't that the cheesy wedding song one?
- 48:14SPEAKER_03: Yes, that's right.
- 48:16SPEAKER_03: And I chose another one bites of dust.
- 48:18SPEAKER_03: I thought that was cheesy.
- 48:20SPEAKER_03: Just because it's been done so many times before.
- 48:24SPEAKER_03: What do you got?
- 48:28SPEAKER_05: Uh okay.
- 48:29SPEAKER_05: Here we go.
- 48:31SPEAKER_01: Hey guys, so that was a really interesting way to go with that question this week.
- 48:37SPEAKER_01: Um and I'm not gonna lie, I see where uh cousin Larry was going with it, but uh between uh Doug's pick and O'Brien's pick, that was really hard.
- 48:48SPEAKER_01: Um did you pick?
- 48:51SPEAKER_01: It's almost a tie, I'd have to say, because playing another one bites the dust is is definitely cheesy at a wedding.
- 49:00SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 49:01SPEAKER_01: Um the chicken dance is the chicken song is just well overplayed.
- 49:06SPEAKER_01: So we gotta play.
- 49:10SPEAKER_01: Um but if if I had to go with a number one pick, it would absolutely absolutely be O'Brien's.
- 49:16SPEAKER_01: Like, that's just kind of corny.
- 49:19SPEAKER_03: I'm not gonna uh we're tied.
- 49:21SPEAKER_03: I think she said it at the beginning.
- 49:22SPEAKER_03: She didn't really, she says if she has to go with one, yeah.
- 49:25SPEAKER_03: She's gonna go with me.
- 49:26SPEAKER_03: But her initial thing was we tied.
- 49:28SPEAKER_03: Because we've never done that before.
- 49:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 49:29SPEAKER_03: Fist bump.
- 49:30SPEAKER_03: Nice job, nice job.
- 49:32SPEAKER_03: Uh that's our first tie.
- 49:33SPEAKER_03: Right?
- 49:34SPEAKER_05: I think so.
- 49:34SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 49:35SPEAKER_05: That's our first tie.
- 49:36SPEAKER_03: Very cool.
- 49:38SPEAKER_03: Uh let's see.
- 49:40SPEAKER_03: So this week's question is if I remember correctly, I and I won't be surprised if either the two of us or all three of us pick the same song for this week.
- 49:58SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 49:58SPEAKER_03: Uh, you're orbiting through space alone.
- 50:03SPEAKER_03: That just sounded like Jimmy Glick.
- 50:05SPEAKER_03: Jiminy Glick.
- 50:06SPEAKER_11: You're orbiting through space alone.
- 50:09SPEAKER_03: Uh about to lose contact with ground control for an hour.
- 50:13SPEAKER_03: What song plays as you float alone through an infinite darkness?
- 50:18SPEAKER_03: I will be surprised if we don't pick the same song.
- 50:22SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 50:23SPEAKER_05: Uh this is what Cousin Larry says.
- 50:26SPEAKER_05: Mixtape.
- 50:26SPEAKER_05: Well, the first song I thought of was the one I'm sure we all did.
- 50:31SPEAKER_05: And that was Space Oddity by David Bowie and Peter Schilling's Major Tom Coming Home.
- 50:38SPEAKER_05: The second song we all probably thought of was Elton John's Rocket Man.
- 50:42SPEAKER_05: But I think I will go with Deep Purple's Space Trucking.
- 50:46SPEAKER_05: Wow.
- 50:46SPEAKER_05: Honorable mention to the Beatles across the universe because I like that song.
- 50:53SPEAKER_03: Uh Space Trucking.
- 50:56SPEAKER_03: Great song.
- 52:01SPEAKER_03: I just want to go to the end just because I like the yeah yeah yeah part.
- 52:05SPEAKER_03: You know what I'm talking about?
- 52:07SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 52:18SPEAKER_03: Those are some pipes.
- 52:25SPEAKER_03: Alright, so there's Cousin Larry's pick, Deep Purple and Space Trucking.
- 52:30SPEAKER_03: What is yours, my friend?
- 52:31SPEAKER_05: I went with the uh theme from uh 2001 a space odyssey.
- 52:35SPEAKER_05: Oh I well, you know what?
- 52:38SPEAKER_03: I I guess I forgot that we could do themes.
- 52:41SPEAKER_03: But you're absolutely right, we can do themes.
- 52:49SPEAKER_05: What are you doing, Dave?
- 52:57SPEAKER_05: That's highly illogical, Dave.
- 52:59SPEAKER_03: Dave?
- 53:01SPEAKER_05: I don't know, but this movie, even still today, creeps me the frig out.
- 53:07SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 53:07SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 53:08SPEAKER_03: No, no, no.
- 53:08SPEAKER_03: I I agree.
- 53:09SPEAKER_03: Her judge this is probably gonna have to go watch this movie to figure out what we mean by Dave.
- 53:23SPEAKER_03: So this song is actually called Also Sprach Zarathustra.
- 53:30SPEAKER_03: Bless you.
- 53:31SPEAKER_03: I'm not sure if you knew that or not.
- 53:33SPEAKER_03: Composed in 1896 by Richard Strauss.
- 53:38SPEAKER_05: But used I knew I knew it was a it was a famous one.
- 53:42SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but used to a s uh spectacular effect by Stanley Kubrick in this uh this movie 2001.
- 54:00SPEAKER_03: He was about to say it's really short, so and I wasn't wrong.
- 54:29SPEAKER_03: Did you even think of Space Oddity?
- 54:32SPEAKER_03: Uh by David Bowie.
- 54:33SPEAKER_05: I did, actually.
- 54:34SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so that's the first thing that came to my mind.
- 54:36SPEAKER_05: I I I I discounted all the the ones that we would have thought of.
- 54:40SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 54:40SPEAKER_05: Like, you know, Rocket Man, I I discounted all those, Major Tom, all that.
- 54:44SPEAKER_03: This wasn't the first one that popped in my head, and Cousin Larry thought of it as well, even though he didn't go with it, but I am going with it.
- 54:49SPEAKER_03: This is David Bowie.
- 54:50SPEAKER_03: Space Oddity.
- 54:51SPEAKER_05: Ground control to Major Tom.
- 54:54SPEAKER_05: I love this song actually.
- 54:54SPEAKER_03: Because I mean, if you look at the question, you're orbiting through space alone, about to lose contact with ground control for power.
- 55:01SPEAKER_03: What song plays as you float alone through an infinite darkness?
- 55:05SPEAKER_00: Ground control to major time.
- 55:08SPEAKER_00: Hello?
- 55:09SPEAKER_00: He's just have a problem.
- 55:12SPEAKER_00: Ground control to major tongue.
- 55:19SPEAKER_00: Take your protein bills and put your helmet on.
- 55:26SPEAKER_00: Ground control to make it tongue.
- 55:40SPEAKER_00: Two check ignition and make God's love be with you.
- 55:50SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 55:51SPEAKER_03: Alright, so that's mine.
- 55:52SPEAKER_03: Absolutely.
- 55:53SPEAKER_05: Fantastic song.
- 55:54SPEAKER_03: Oh yeah.
- 55:54SPEAKER_03: I love this song.
- 55:55SPEAKER_03: Space Oddity, David Bowie.
- 55:57SPEAKER_05: Do you remember when Jimmy Fallon made a uh Yes.
- 56:02SPEAKER_03: I do.
- 56:03SPEAKER_05: Jesus Christ, the Tim Tow.
- 56:05SPEAKER_04: Yes, I do.
- 56:07SPEAKER_04: I friggin' laughs hard.
- 56:09SPEAKER_03: Uh Space Odyssey Oddity by David Bowie is mine.
- 56:12SPEAKER_03: Doug's is 2001, a space odyssey theme.
- 56:16SPEAKER_03: And Space Trucking from uh Deep Purple is Cousin Larry's.
- 56:20SPEAKER_05: This is a fun one, man.
- 56:21SPEAKER_05: I agree.
- 56:22SPEAKER_05: This is a fun one.
- 56:23SPEAKER_03: Uh all right, so we are going to pick the future.
- 56:30SPEAKER_05: Oh, did we play it?
- 56:31SPEAKER_05: No, never mind.
- 56:32SPEAKER_03: What we did.
- 56:32SPEAKER_03: No, we didn't.
- 56:33SPEAKER_03: What?
- 56:33SPEAKER_03: Oh wait, no, we didn't.
- 56:35SPEAKER_03: No, yeah, we did.
- 56:35SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we did.
- 57:06SPEAKER_05: You are not to do it.
- 57:08SPEAKER_05: Nothing left to do but rush out.
- 57:17SPEAKER_05: I think I mean rush down.
- 57:20SPEAKER_03: Nothing to do but rush out shooting.
- 57:23SPEAKER_05: I think oh rush.
- 57:24SPEAKER_05: They must mean rush.
- 57:25SPEAKER_05: Rush.
- 57:27SPEAKER_05: Nothing left to do but rush out shooting and take as many of them as possible.
- 57:32SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 57:33SPEAKER_05: That's an interesting thing.
- 57:34SPEAKER_03: And what and what song is playing?
- 57:35SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I guess so.
- 57:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 57:36SPEAKER_03: What song is playing while you do that?
- 57:38SPEAKER_03: Alright, good to know.
- 57:40SPEAKER_05: On road again.
- 57:42SPEAKER_03: Uh yeah.
- 57:44SPEAKER_03: Alright, so um, we're gonna take a break.
- 57:46SPEAKER_03: You're gonna send that to Cousin Larry?
