Latest / The Mark Simone Show / Hour 2: Who do the Democrats like?
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Plugged into everything New York, Mark Simone on 710WOR. Well, hey,
- 0:08Speaker 1: it's almost Friday. It's Thursday. It's almost Friday. The Yankees
- 0:11Speaker 1: have won. They go on to the next round. That's
- 0:14Speaker 1: great news. They're finally, hopefully, going to do something about
- 0:18Speaker 1: these e-bikes in New York. The city council has been
- 0:22Speaker 1: holding hearings, and people have been coming into the city
- 0:25Speaker 1: council testifying. horror stories about e-bikes and survivors of crashes.
- 0:32Speaker 1: They came in and shared their horror stories at a
- 0:36Speaker 1: city council hearing that took place yesterday. They want to
- 0:39Speaker 1: pass legislation, and this is very important. This is a
- 0:43Speaker 1: really important piece of legislation that would finally stop this
- 0:48Speaker 1: reckless free-for-all with these e-bikes and e-things, the regular bikes, e-bikes, scooters,
- 0:55Speaker 1: all this stuff speeding around, zipping around, going through red lights,
- 1:01Speaker 1: riding on the sidewalk. I mean, this is the most
- 1:03Speaker 1: dangerous part of New York. And they're always talking about revenue.
- 1:07Speaker 1: You know, Hochul and Mamdani and these Democrats always look
- 1:10Speaker 1: into ways to pick your pocket, you know, whether it's
- 1:13Speaker 1: congestion pricing, whether it's a pied-à-terre tax. They're always looking
- 1:17Speaker 1: for schemes to take more money from you. You want
- 1:20Speaker 1: to generate revenue, start ticketing all the e-bikes. Start ticketing bikes.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Ticket them. Go through a red light, give them a ticket.
- 1:30Speaker 1: You know how much money you could bring in? Also,
- 1:32Speaker 1: make every one of these things get a license. If
- 1:36Speaker 1: you have a car, you've got to have a driver's license.
- 1:38Speaker 1: You've got to have a registration on your car. You've
- 1:41Speaker 1: got to pay a yearly fee for it. There's a
- 1:43Speaker 1: ton of revenue. Every e-bike, scooter, everything. You've got to
- 1:49Speaker 1: have a license to ride it in New York. It's
- 1:51Speaker 1: got to have a registration sticker on it. You're riding
- 1:55Speaker 1: up on the sidewalk, going the wrong way down the street,
- 1:58Speaker 1: running red lights. You get a ticket. Lots and lots
- 2:01Speaker 1: and lots and lots of tickets. You'd make a fortune
- 2:04Speaker 1: off this. You'd force them to drive slowly and safely
- 2:08Speaker 1: in the middle of New York. Everybody wants this. Everybody. Everybody.
- 2:15Speaker 1: And city council finally holding hearings on it. Now, this
- 2:18Speaker 1: Julie Menon seems pretty good, pretty common sense. You got
- 2:22Speaker 1: a lot of wackos on that city council. But, you know,
- 2:26Speaker 1: they keep talking about the safety, the danger. Besides the revenue,
- 2:30Speaker 1: how many people are getting seriously hurt by this, these e-bikes?
- 2:35Speaker 1: Here's the city council speaker.
- 2:36Speaker 2: The council's now passed several laws on this, and no
- 2:39Speaker 2: one knows anything about them. We passed them for a reason, so...
- 2:43Speaker 2: One of the reasons for this hearing is to get
- 2:45Speaker 2: the commitment from the agencies to actually enforce the current
- 2:48Speaker 2: laws we have in the books that are not being enforced.
- 2:50Speaker 1: We are 100% going to take that back.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:53Speaker 1: And so I'd.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Like a commitment from both agencies in writing to us.
- 2:57Speaker 2: We really want to, I just don't want to have
- 2:58Speaker 2: like more conversations.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Okay.
- 3:02Speaker 1: That's the only problem. We don't want any, we don't
- 3:03Speaker 1: need any conversations. Just pass the laws. All the bikes
- 3:07Speaker 1: have to be registered. They all got to have registration
- 3:11Speaker 1: and just pass the law. They have to get ticketed.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Any traffic violations, give them a ticket. It's that simple.
- 3:18Speaker 1: You'll make a fortune and you'll save lives. It's a no-brainer. Hey,
- 3:23Speaker 1: I'm looking at, we got a lot of TV networks on,
- 3:25Speaker 1: a lot of screens up here. This is a Cuomo
- 3:29Speaker 1: mansion purchase. It's getting a lot of attention. Even left-wing,
- 3:33Speaker 1: left-wing biased New York One, they keep repeating it over
- 3:37Speaker 1: and over again. It's not a good look for Cuomo.
- 3:40Speaker 1: You're trying to look like you're a public servant. Andrew Cuomo,
- 3:44Speaker 1: the public servant, just bought a $ 9 million Hamptons mansion
- 3:48Speaker 1: with a tennis court, a pool, a gym, a wine cellar.
- 3:52Speaker 1: It says Cuomo will use the purchase as an investment property.
- 3:56Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm not buying that. So the problem
- 4:05Speaker 1: is if you got $ 9 million, apparently he paid cash,
- 4:09Speaker 1: it says, all cash deal. If you've got $ 9 million
- 4:12Speaker 1: in cash and you can write a check like that
- 4:14Speaker 1: for a mansion like this, it's a compound in the Hamptons.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Curtis calls it the Corleone compound. If you've got a
- 4:22Speaker 1: $ 9 million check, you can write just like that. It
- 4:25Speaker 1: means you've probably got $ 30 million at least or more.
- 4:29Speaker 1: And nobody knows where he got all this money. Again,
- 4:32Speaker 1: he's been working in the crypto business for a while,
- 4:34Speaker 1: but who knows. Apparently, he wants to be near his brother,
- 4:39Speaker 1: Chris Cuomo. And apparently he's been seen hanging out at
- 4:44Speaker 1: his buddy Billy Joel's beachfront property. Huh. I wonder if
- 4:49Speaker 1: Billy Joel knows about this. But no, actually, I guess
- 4:51Speaker 1: they're friends. Billy Joel is kind of a left-wing guy.
- 4:54Speaker 1: And he and Cuomo, I would imagine they have things
- 4:57Speaker 1: in common. Both car guys, motorcycle guys, that sort of stuff.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Both love noisy engines, all that stuff. He's also been
- 5:05Speaker 1: a regular at 75 Maine. And Southampton, that is like
- 5:10Speaker 1: the hot spot. That's where all the action is. Nice guy,
- 5:13Speaker 1: Zach Erdem, is the owner of 75 Main. So he's
- 5:16Speaker 1: been seen hanging out there. And that's where the whole
- 5:21Speaker 1: Upper East Side, all those, how are you, the whole
- 5:24Speaker 1: Mar-a-Lago crowd, they're always out there. And that's how Cuomo
- 5:27Speaker 1: started his mayoral bid, by winning them over. They're all
- 5:30Speaker 1: big donors, and that's how he got a lot of money.
- 5:34Speaker 1: But again, he's been working in the crypto business, apparently,
- 5:37Speaker 1: making money. A fortune. All right. But I would think
- 5:42Speaker 1: he's never going to run again. First of all, because
- 5:44Speaker 1: he was totally humiliated in the last race, the mayoral race.
- 5:49Speaker 1: But I also think if you buy a $ 9 million
- 5:51Speaker 1: Hamptons mansion, it's not a good look if you want
- 5:53Speaker 1: to be a mayoral candidate. So I think he realizes
- 5:56Speaker 1: he can't run anymore. It's all over. Hey, the midterms
- 5:59Speaker 1: are like 33 days away. I know you keep hearing
- 6:03Speaker 1: how low the president's approval ratings are. I know you
- 6:06Speaker 1: keep hearing how bad the Republicans are doing in the polls,
- 6:09Speaker 1: but they forget to tell you Democrats' approval ratings are
- 6:13Speaker 1: a lot lower than Trump's, and Democrats' approval ratings are
- 6:17Speaker 1: in the toilet. Here is the CNN pollster.
- 6:20Speaker 4: GOP outperformed September polls by in the major 2024 races,
- 6:23Speaker 4: that is, President and Senate in the states that had
- 6:25Speaker 4: a Senate race.
- 6:26Speaker 1: In Iowa, where the Democrats have.
- 6:27Speaker 4: Been getting really good polls, Republicans outperformed their September polls
- 6:31Speaker 4: by nine points back in 2024.
- 6:32Speaker 1: How about Ohio?
- 6:34Speaker 5: Six points.
- 6:34Speaker 1: How about Michigan?
- 6:35Speaker 6: Five points.
- 6:36Speaker 4: And I will note that the leads that the Democrats
- 6:39Speaker 4: have in all of these races right now are under
- 6:42Speaker 4: how much the GOP outperformed back in 2024.
- 6:44Speaker 1: So you look at this and you go, You know what?
- 6:47Speaker 4: Maybe we should just hold on a second here because
- 6:50Speaker 4: we've seen this dance before and it was not a
- 6:53Speaker 4: dance that Democrats like when the votes were actually cast
- 6:55Speaker 4: and counted.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Yeah, so that's the key to it. These polls are all,
- 6:59Speaker 1: the public polls are all fake. They're just ridiculously rigged.
- 7:01Speaker 1: If you look at the metrics, they're not even close
- 7:04Speaker 1: to trying to be real. The metrics have Republicans at 23%
- 7:08Speaker 1: of the sample. They should be 38%. They're not using
- 7:11Speaker 1: likely voters. They're using the wrong demos deliberately. So, um,
- 7:16Speaker 1: The public polls all rigged. So that's pretty interesting. So
- 7:19Speaker 1: it's all about turnout. That's the key. Turnout. If Republicans
- 7:24Speaker 1: turn out, they win. If Republicans stay home, Democrats can win.
- 7:27Speaker 1: The president is doing a three-state tour. Today he's in Texas.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Over the weekend, he'll be in other places. Now, I'm
- 7:37Speaker 1: just telling you, repeating this story, because if you read
- 7:39Speaker 1: the New York Times or you watch MSNBC or CNN,
- 7:42Speaker 1: you'll never know about this, but... There was a bill
- 7:45Speaker 1: to do something about those AI data centers. It's a
- 7:49Speaker 1: big democratic issue. There's a bill to do something about it.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Chuck Schumer, the Democrats blocked it yesterday. They blocked the bill. Now,
- 7:57Speaker 1: why would they do that if they're against it? Well,
- 8:00Speaker 1: one thing about these AI companies, they got a ton
- 8:02Speaker 1: of money, trillions, and they do throw it around in Washington, D.C.
- 8:07Speaker 1: You know, recently they set up a $ 25 million super PAC.
- 8:13Speaker 1: And the money was immediately doled out to people in Congress. Donations.
- 8:18Speaker 1: So the money was quickly passed out in Washington. And
- 8:23Speaker 1: everybody was told there was going to be more of
- 8:24Speaker 1: these super PACs. So Democrats killed the bill to block
- 8:29Speaker 1: the data centers. Now there was another bill that was
- 8:33Speaker 1: going to, you know, all these congressmen and women, Republicans
- 8:36Speaker 1: are just as guilty. They make a fortune with this
- 8:39Speaker 1: insider trading. They have all sorts of insider information, more
- 8:44Speaker 1: than anybody in the world can have. They find out
- 8:46Speaker 1: about test results from the FDA before anybody. They find
- 8:50Speaker 1: out before anybody who's going to get a government contract.
- 8:53Speaker 1: That's how you could be Nancy Pelosi. You got $ 0. 35
- 8:57Speaker 1: when you go into office. She's now worth like $ 800 million.
- 9:01Speaker 1: That's how Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, they're suddenly worth $ 20 million.
- 9:05Speaker 1: This goes on all the time. It's not just Democrats,
- 9:07Speaker 1: Republicans too. The insider trading, you make a fortune in Congress.
- 9:12Speaker 1: So there was a bill, not to eliminate it, but
- 9:14Speaker 1: to limit it, just to limit it. Senate Democrats blocked it.
- 9:20Speaker 1: They killed it. Senate Democrats blocked it. So they blocked
- 9:24Speaker 1: the AI controls. They blocked the insider trading controls. But
- 9:31Speaker 1: you'll read the New York Times. Go get the whole
- 9:33Speaker 1: New York Times. See if you can find that story
- 9:34Speaker 1: in there. Good luck trying to find it. Hey, oh,
- 9:38Speaker 1: last night we had a great dinner in Long Island.
- 9:41Speaker 1: We went out there. Jim Kerr and I, Jason Roy
- 9:46Speaker 1: is one of our top salespeople. Bernie Weiss is our iHeartPresent.
- 9:49Speaker 1: So we went out to Long Island and we had
- 9:51Speaker 1: dinner with the Richard family of P.C. Richard and Son. Now,
- 9:55Speaker 1: I always tell you it's a family-owned business, P.C. Richard.
- 9:58Speaker 1: What a great, great company.
- 9:59Speaker 7: It is.
- 10:00Speaker 1: What a great business. Yeah, you can really trust them.
- 10:03Speaker 1: They've been in business five generations, 117 years, but we
- 10:06Speaker 1: had dinner with the people that run P.C. Richard, Glenn
- 10:10Speaker 1: Richard and Scott Richard and Abby Richard, the whole marketing team.
- 10:13Speaker 1: The nicest people you could ever meet. The nicest, most sincere,
- 10:18Speaker 1: hard-working Unbelievable. So you can trust them on anything. It's
- 10:25Speaker 1: a great company, P.C. Richardson. We went to Blackstone's, one
- 10:27Speaker 1: of the great steakhouses in Long Island. That's Anthony Scotto's place.
- 10:33Speaker 1: And so I didn't realize this. So Glenn Richard, we're
- 10:36Speaker 1: talking about P.C. Richardson. He said, how amazing it is
- 10:41Speaker 1: to try to control all that. He said, we knock
- 10:43Speaker 1: on 5,000 doors a day. I said, what do you mean?
- 10:48Speaker 1: I didn't realize this. You know, they got to deliver everything.
- 10:50Speaker 1: They deliver the refrigerator. They deliver the TV. 5,000 deliveries
- 10:55Speaker 1: a day. Can you imagine trying to control all that?
- 11:01Speaker 1: Can you imagine this? I'm trying to do a radio
- 11:03Speaker 1: show here. I got two computers trying to control all this. Wow,
- 11:06Speaker 1: it's like a nightmare. Can you imagine? And he's going
- 11:08Speaker 1: to tell me that they got these incredible warehouse facilities
- 11:12Speaker 1: with millions of trucks coming. Can you imagine making 5,000
- 11:14Speaker 1: deliveries a day? How the hell could anybody run all
- 11:20Speaker 1: of that? You've got to be a management logistics genius
- 11:22Speaker 1: to run that. Hey, speaking of Long Island, there's a
- 11:26Speaker 1: legendary place out there, Ohika Castle. Probably everybody's been to
- 11:29Speaker 1: Ohika Castle at one time or another. If you're in
- 11:32Speaker 1: Long Island, you're there a lot. It's a big, great
- 11:35Speaker 1: Gatsby mansion with a million acres and a golf course
- 11:37Speaker 1: and all this. It's an unbelievable place. It's where everybody
- 11:41Speaker 1: has their wedding. There's all kinds of parties there. It's
- 11:44Speaker 1: where Anthony Weiner got married. Remember Bill Clinton officiated the wedding.
- 11:49Speaker 1: You want to bring your marriage. Bad luck. Have Bill
- 11:52Speaker 1: Clinton do the ceremony. Bill Clinton does the ceremony. Remember
- 11:59Speaker 1: I told you at the time, I said, this is
- 12:00Speaker 1: bad luck. Having Bill Clinton do it. Sure enough, they
- 12:03Speaker 1: get married. The storybook fairy tale wedding. Two seconds later,
- 12:07Speaker 1: they find out he's a pervert sexting with the kids
- 12:10Speaker 1: on the internet. Next thing you know, they're divorced. Um,
- 12:14Speaker 1: But it's a legendary place in Long Island. Well, the
- 12:16Speaker 1: guy that owns it is quite a character, that guy. Anyway,
- 12:20Speaker 1: he filed bankruptcy. So it's been seized by the creditors.
- 12:25Speaker 1: It's up for auction if you want Oheka Castle. October 27th,
- 12:30Speaker 1: it'll be auctioned. Concierge auctions. Oh, look at this. Buyers
- 12:36Speaker 1: must pony up $ 750, 000. to even bid, I guess. It's
- 12:43Speaker 1: 113,000 square feet, the mansion. So it'll be auctioned. It
- 12:47Speaker 1: was quite a place. It was originally built like as
- 12:49Speaker 1: a great Gatsby mansion. And sure enough, in the 1920s,
- 12:51Speaker 1: they had those great Gatsby-type parties there. Then it became
- 12:56Speaker 1: serious for a while. It was used during World War
- 12:59Speaker 1: II for radio operators. You remember what many consider the
- 13:03Speaker 1: greatest film ever made, Citizen Kane? And they showed Xanadu,
- 13:07Speaker 1: where the guy lived. Well, that was Oheka Castle. They
- 13:09Speaker 1: used it for the movie. So pretty interesting. Who's expected
- 13:14Speaker 1: to buy it? No one knows. Although Taconic Capital is
- 13:18Speaker 1: the hedge fund that holds the mortgage. So they could
- 13:22Speaker 1: be one of the buyers. Hey, remember Senator George Mitchell?
- 13:25Speaker 1: He was this old, old, old senator from Maine. Senator
- 13:29Speaker 1: George Mitchell. And he was a very distinguished-looking old senator.
- 13:36Speaker 1: A big deal in Maine. He was the Maine senator
- 13:38Speaker 1: for a million years. Like at Maine University, things are
- 13:41Speaker 1: named after him. The building is named after him. The
- 13:44Speaker 1: scholarship is named after him. Senator George Mitchell. Well, now
- 13:49Speaker 1: they want his name torn off the building. They want
- 13:51Speaker 1: his name off the scholarship. He's 93. He's still with us.
- 13:55Speaker 1: He's 93. Because apparently he's mentioned more than 300 times
- 13:59Speaker 1: in the Epstein files. Listen, this guy. Didn't do anything
- 14:05Speaker 1: bad with Epstein. Epstein had a million aspects of his personality.
- 14:10Speaker 1: One of the things he did was he bought a
- 14:14Speaker 1: lot of politicians. You can buy politicians. He would donate
- 14:18Speaker 1: millions and millions and millions of these politicians' campaigns. They're
- 14:23Speaker 1: super PACs. He would write massive checks. Now, if you
- 14:25Speaker 1: do that for politicians, they will come to your house.
- 14:28Speaker 1: They will have dinner with you, lunch with you. If
- 14:31Speaker 1: you're having a party, they'll come shake everybody's hand. You
- 14:34Speaker 1: can buy, this is done all the time. You can
- 14:37Speaker 1: do it with senators, with presidents. That's what George Mitchell
- 14:40Speaker 1: was doing. Fundraising. You know, and if you need the
- 14:44Speaker 1: Senate Democratic Committee, you call Epstein, he'll send you a
- 14:48Speaker 1: million dollars. Every time you call him, he'll send you
- 14:50Speaker 1: a million. So that's all it was. This is nothing sexual.
- 14:53Speaker 1: First of all, you ever see George Mitchell? I guarantee you,
- 14:55Speaker 1: there's not enough Viagra in the world for him to
- 14:59Speaker 1: have done anything. Forget Viagra. The guy would need, Jumper cables.
- 15:03Speaker 1: I mean, nothing happened with George Mitchell. But the poor guy,
- 15:07Speaker 1: they're taking his name off the building. And just because
- 15:12Speaker 1: you're in the Epstein Files. I'm in the Epstein Files
- 15:14Speaker 1: six times. Nothing bad. Nothing bad. He was coming to
- 15:18Speaker 1: a show I was emceeing. One time there was an email,
- 15:21Speaker 1: something I said on the radio. One time it was
- 15:24Speaker 1: Jackie Martling was emailing him and mentioned me. So a
- 15:28Speaker 1: lot of things. You see... The top restaurants in New
- 15:31Speaker 1: York will show up like 42 times in the Epstein files.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Nothing bad. It's just because he would go there and
- 15:38Speaker 1: they have his American Express bills in the file. So
- 15:41Speaker 1: the type of certain restaurant would come up 47 times. Anyway,
- 15:45Speaker 1: we'll take some calls next. We got the phone. The
- 15:48Speaker 1: phones are fixed. Let's test them out. Call, especially if
- 15:51Speaker 1: you're a new caller. We'd love to hear from you.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Give us a call. 800-321-0710 is the number.
- 15:54Speaker 5: 800- 321-0710.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Live from the WOR LifeVac studios, the Mark Simone Show. Hey,
- 16:09Speaker 1: let's take some calls. Let's go to Jamie, Columbus, Ohio. Jamie,
- 16:13Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 16:16Speaker 5: Hey, Mark.
- 16:16Speaker 6: Great show. I have a question about these executions that
- 16:20Speaker 6: these states try to do. Why don't they just use
- 16:24Speaker 6: the 25-cent bullet?
- 16:24Speaker 7: Why do they.
- 16:27Speaker 6: Still try to use it.
- 16:30Speaker 1: He's talking about this woman, two lethal doses, death penalty,
- 16:37Speaker 1: lethal injections. She survived both of them. I guess they're
- 16:41Speaker 1: trying to be humane. It's not Iran. You can't take
- 16:43Speaker 1: somebody out and shoot them.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Right.
- 16:48Speaker 1: You'd have to have a firing squad. You can't do that.
- 16:51Speaker 8: No, no.
- 16:52Speaker 6: But do it in a way where You know, there's
- 16:56Speaker 6: four guns with, and one has a bullet, and pretty
- 17:02Speaker 6: much they don't know where it actually.
- 17:04Speaker 1: All right. But it's, you know, we're too woke now.
- 17:08Speaker 1: We're too soft now. You can't shoot.
- 17:10Speaker 7: I see.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, but it's a good question, Jamie. Thanks
- 17:12Speaker 1: for calling. Yeah, they gave her the lethal injection, and
- 17:16Speaker 1: she survived. So they gave her another lethal injection. And
- 17:22Speaker 1: she survived. I don't know what you're going to do.
- 17:24Speaker 1: I would take her over there to the Carnegie Deli,
- 17:26Speaker 1: get her one of those nine-foot pastrami sandwiches and the cheesecake.
- 17:29Speaker 1: They give you a piece of cheesecake that is so big.
- 17:32Speaker 1: See if she'll survive that. Actually, it's delicious. It's great.
- 17:36Speaker 1: The new Carnegie. I did eat there finally. Big pastrami sandwich.
- 17:42Speaker 1: The cheesecake is the finest cheesecake you'll ever have. It
- 17:45Speaker 1: was unbelievable. Ate the whole thing. Now, for two days,
- 17:48Speaker 1: my stomach was like lead, buddy. It's worth it. It's delicious.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Let's go to Dana in Poughkeepsie. Dana, how are you doing?
- 17:57Speaker 8: Good. How are you?
- 17:58Speaker 1: Very good.
- 17:59Speaker 7: So I have a question.
- 18:02Speaker 9: So most of the people who are Trump opponents keep
- 18:06Speaker 9: talking about, oh, he's in the Epstein files, you know,
- 18:09Speaker 9: he's in the Epstein files, calling him a pedophile. And
- 18:13Speaker 9: I know, like you just said, there's so many people
- 18:15Speaker 9: named in there.
- 18:15Speaker 3: It's just an email or.
- 18:18Speaker 1: They keep bringing up the Epstein files. Trump has nothing
- 18:21Speaker 1: to do with sex with Epstein. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. And
- 18:23Speaker 1: he is in the Epstein files a million times. But
- 18:26Speaker 1: all it says is that Epstein hated his guts. They
- 18:29Speaker 1: were enemies. Epstein is bad-mouthing him all through the files.
- 18:32Speaker 1: Epstein is working with Michael Wolff and others trying to
- 18:34Speaker 1: bring down Trump.
- 18:36Speaker 10: I saw one reference in there, though, that said, Has
- 18:39Speaker 10: some lady that said she wanted to know why nothing
- 18:41Speaker 10: was being done in regards to information she provided about
- 18:46Speaker 10: Trump saying he's a monster and he was actively recruiting
- 18:49Speaker 10: girls with Epstein.
- 18:50Speaker 3: But the person's name.
- 18:52Speaker 9: Is, it's a woman.
- 18:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I know. How come her name is redacted?
- 18:56Speaker 1: Because, well, it was totally debunked. What is that other one?
- 18:59Speaker 1: Virginia Giuffre also totally debunked. She finally confessed that the
- 19:04Speaker 1: story she was telling wasn't true. Yeah, no, Trump is totally,
- 19:07Speaker 1: totally exonerated by the Epstein files. Not only do they
- 19:10Speaker 1: have nothing to do with all that, but if you
- 19:12Speaker 1: read the files, and everybody should go read them, Epstein
- 19:16Speaker 1: hated Trump. They were bitter enemies.
- 19:17Speaker 7: Hated Trump, right? Yeah.
- 19:18Speaker 1: He wasn't too crazy about you either, but he hated Trump.
- 19:22Speaker 3: That's okay.
- 19:24Speaker 1: And what do you do up there in Poughkeepsie, Dana?
- 19:27Speaker 10: Actually, I'm a financial writer.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Very good.
- 19:30Speaker 10: I work remotely, but I used to work at Bloomberg, actually,
- 19:33Speaker 10: in the city.
- 19:33Speaker 1: That's a nice place to work. Don't they have the
- 19:35Speaker 1: best cafeteria in the world? Yes, yes.
- 19:38Speaker 9: It's like a casino.
- 19:40Speaker 10: You touch a button, someone's cleaning it, 19 types of
- 19:43Speaker 10: waters and everything you could want.
- 19:46Speaker 1: 47 food stations, the finest of everything you've ever seen.
- 19:48Speaker 1: All right, Dana, great conversation. Thanks for calling. Let's go
- 19:51Speaker 1: to Joe in Lincoln Park. Joe, how are you doing?
- 19:55Speaker 7: Hey, Mark, a pleasure. Long-time listener. Hey, Patterson, where I
- 20:01Speaker 7: grew up in the 50s and 60s, is now called
- 20:03Speaker 7: Little Palestine. I don't know if you've been there or
- 20:06Speaker 7: heard anything about it. It's got a Muslim mayor. Everything is.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Well, you get those now and then. Dearborn, Michigan used
- 20:13Speaker 1: to be Henry Ford, the Ford Motor Company. Now it's
- 20:15Speaker 1: like the same thing. It's all crazies that vote for
- 20:18Speaker 1: wacko politicians.
- 20:20Speaker 7: Yeah, but they have minarets calling to prayer that I
- 20:24Speaker 7: can hear all the way up the hill in Wayne.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Well, that's why you should get a data center. It'll
- 20:28Speaker 1: drown them out. You won't have them anymore.
- 20:30Speaker 7: Exactly.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Anyway, thanks for calling. Good call. Let's go to Vincent
- 20:34Speaker 1: in Brooklyn. Vincent, how are you doing?
- 20:36Speaker 5: I'm okay, Mark. I guess you were referring to also
- 20:40Speaker 5: this past weekend, a 41-year-old father was killed by an
- 20:46Speaker 5: e-bike in Central Park. Apparently, they had made the e-bike
- 20:54Speaker 5: lanes bigger. Before, there was only one. Now, they've made
- 20:57Speaker 5: them two, and they reduced the pedestrian walkway. And the
- 21:02Speaker 5: way I see it is, as you said, they have
- 21:04Speaker 5: to put some teeth into this legislation and really follow it,
- 21:09Speaker 5: because apparently DoorDash and Uber Eats got to members of
- 21:16Speaker 5: the city council because they wanted to write a much
- 21:21Speaker 5: stronger law, the city council, And, of course, money got
- 21:27Speaker 5: involved and money talks, unfortunately. And we have every day.
- 21:34Speaker 5: I mean, yesterday I heard it on the news on
- 21:38Speaker 5: your show that 500 people last year were injured by.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Oh, it's way more than that. But, Vincent, great call.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Great point. And we'll get back to that, too. It's
- 21:49Speaker 1: a great point. When we come back, the very funny
- 21:52Speaker 1: Jimmy Fela. He'll be with us next on 710WOR.
- 21:56Speaker 4: More Mark.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Mark Simone.
- 21:59Speaker 10: Mr.
- 21:59Speaker 6: New York.
- 22:00Speaker 3: Now three hours every weekday from 9 till noon on 710WOR.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Well, Jimmy Fela, the great comedian, brilliant talk show host.
- 22:10Speaker 1: You can hear him every night. It's a wonderful show
- 22:13Speaker 1: here on WOR. Every night, 9 to midnight. You should
- 22:16Speaker 1: be listening. And then on Saturday nights, he does the
- 22:19Speaker 1: best late-night show on television, Fox News Channel, Saturday nights,
- 22:22Speaker 1: 10 o'clock. Best monologue in the world anywhere today. And
- 22:27Speaker 1: he's with us now, Jimmy Fallon. How are you doing?
- 22:29Speaker 3: I would have thrown him out the window like Air
- 22:30Speaker 3: Force One. And the gates. Yeah, we'll work it out.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Oh, I thought you were talking to me.
- 22:36Speaker 8: No, come on, Mark Simone, never.
- 22:38Speaker 3: You're allowed to stay on the plane.
- 22:40Speaker 1: What, are you on another show at the same time?
- 22:42Speaker 3: He's got to go. No, I'm walking around Fox News headquarters.
- 22:45Speaker 8: Somebody just asked me, I'm not even kidding, about another
- 22:48Speaker 8: radio host out in the Dakotas that's on my no-fly.
- 22:52Speaker 3: List right now. It's good to hear from you.
- 22:57Speaker 1: So, hey, I'm listening to you the other night. Besides
- 22:59Speaker 1: being very funny, you're actually brilliant. You make brilliant points.
- 23:02Speaker 1: You're talking about.
- 23:03Speaker 3: Well, that's the drugs, but go ahead.
- 23:06Speaker 8: Thank you.
- 23:07Speaker 1: People yelling about the reflecting pool, the ballroom. And you
- 23:09Speaker 1: pointed out these are like rich white liberals who have
- 23:11Speaker 1: nothing to do all day. It's not like they're hardworking,
- 23:14Speaker 1: normal Americans. And all they do is watch MSNBC and
- 23:17Speaker 1: get riled up, right? I mean, explain those people to us.
- 23:21Speaker 3: This is why– but that is the truth, okay?
- 23:24Speaker 8: When you hear somebody saying, oh, I'm not voting for him,
- 23:27Speaker 8: not after what he did with that arch in downtown Washington, D.C.
- 23:32Speaker 3: I'm like, what you're really telling us is that life
- 23:35Speaker 3: is going– really well for you. You know what I'm saying?
- 23:39Speaker 8: There's a lot of people, okay, self-hating white people who
- 23:42Speaker 8: live on the Upper West Side of New York.
- 23:44Speaker 3: I mean, I lived there for a long time. I
- 23:46Speaker 3: was up on 102nd and Broadway.
- 23:47Speaker 8: And there's a lot of really prosperous white liberals who
- 23:50Speaker 8: hate Donald Trump so they don't have to look inward
- 23:53Speaker 8: at things they hate about themselves, okay?
- 23:56Speaker 3: It's true.
- 23:57Speaker 8: I know this because I used to pick these people
- 23:58Speaker 8: up in my taxi and they'd all dump all their
- 24:00Speaker 8: problems because they think they're never going to see you
- 24:02Speaker 8: again and you become like an affordable therapist.
- 24:04Speaker 3: But everybody listening has a friend who.
- 24:07Speaker 8: Hates Trump and has to work whatever the negative Trump
- 24:11Speaker 8: thing is into every conversation.
- 24:14Speaker 3: You're like, how about the Yankees beating the Red Sox?
- 24:15Speaker 3: They're like, oh my God, good thing Trump wasn't there.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Am I right?
- 24:18Speaker 3: He would have like renamed the stadium or something. It
- 24:21Speaker 3: would have been gross.
- 24:22Speaker 5: And you're like, I don't know.
- 24:23Speaker 3: I'm just happy. My kid's happy. The Yankees won.
- 24:26Speaker 8: And that's who the Democrats are catering to. Those people
- 24:30Speaker 8: who are.
- 24:31Speaker 3: You know, again, supremely successful people.
- 24:34Speaker 8: And they're kids who don't want to do anything, so
- 24:37Speaker 8: they've decided to adopt the mantle of socialism and tell
- 24:40Speaker 8: us they're all social justice warriors here to save the
- 24:43Speaker 8: world from itself.
- 24:44Speaker 3: That's who the Democratic Party has become.
- 24:46Speaker 1: But as you point out, there are people that work hard.
- 24:48Speaker 1: They've got two jobs. They're working in a factory. They're
- 24:50Speaker 1: raising kids. They don't have time for this Trump hatred.
- 24:52Speaker 1: They're hard working. No.
- 24:54Speaker 8: Listen, Jenny's family, my wife's family, is from Wapakoneta, Ohio.
- 24:59Speaker 8: You know, everyone always asks, how'd you get a wife
- 25:00Speaker 8: so pretty?
- 25:01Speaker 3: She grew up on a farm. She has no idea
- 25:03Speaker 3: what her street value is.
- 25:04Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying?
- 25:05Speaker 3: She doesn't know how much better she could do. I
- 25:07Speaker 3: married her in farm country.
- 25:09Speaker 8: If she had moved here first, I would have got
- 25:10Speaker 8: shut down at the bar.
- 25:11Speaker 3: That's neither here nor there. The point is, if you
- 25:14Speaker 3: go out to dairy country in Wapakoneta, Ohio... and tell.
- 25:18Speaker 8: Them about the reflecting pool, dude? I mean, they know
- 25:21Speaker 8: about the football pool, you know, the company office pool
- 25:24Speaker 8: in March. Man, but they don't care about the reflecting
- 25:27Speaker 8: pool or the ballroom. Dude, any rational person knows that
- 25:32Speaker 8: a ballroom means it's going to be used by multiple
- 25:35Speaker 8: generations of people. Okay, meaning every president's going to use it.
- 25:39Speaker 8: No one's going to knock it down, no matter what
- 25:40Speaker 8: they're telling you. They may take down some of the
- 25:43Speaker 8: gold because we know it's going to look like Graceland
- 25:45Speaker 8: on steroids.
- 25:46Speaker 3: But the point is... it doesn't affect anybody's life.
- 25:50Speaker 8: And when the Democrats are campaigning and devoting so much
- 25:54Speaker 8: of their energy.
- 25:55Speaker 3: To things that don't affect your life, it becomes really
- 25:58Speaker 3: hard to relate to them.
- 26:00Speaker 8: That's why if you saw that poll, it's a pretty
- 26:01Speaker 8: good poll yesterday, that to their credit, they reported that 29%
- 26:06Speaker 8: of Americans think the Democratic.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Party cares about them. I was like, that actually sounds
- 26:11Speaker 3: high if you're paying attention.
- 26:14Speaker 1: Hey, this is fascinating, Jimmy Fallon. Explain that self-hating, these
- 26:17Speaker 1: angry white liberals. They hate Trump because they hate themselves.
- 26:20Speaker 1: How exactly does that work?
- 26:21Speaker 3: You want to know something?
- 26:23Speaker 8: There's a lot of people who are– and this is
- 26:25Speaker 8: an interesting story. This goes back to something I heard
- 26:28Speaker 8: in my cab, okay? There's a lot of people who
- 26:32Speaker 8: are unhappy in life. and think that attaining some measure
- 26:36Speaker 8: of success is going to change everything for them. But
- 26:40Speaker 8: what they ultimately come to realize is when they get
- 26:42Speaker 8: richer or they get that big promotion, they're still the
- 26:45Speaker 8: same person. They're just sitting at home hating themselves on
- 26:49Speaker 8: a much nicer couch. And it's the god's own truth.
- 26:54Speaker 8: Believe me, I know a lot of miserable TV people,
- 26:57Speaker 8: and I know a lot of really happy cab drivers
- 26:59Speaker 8: because a woman once told me in my taxi that
- 27:01Speaker 8: your attitude– defines your experience. So if you're a person
- 27:05Speaker 8: with a good attitude, you usually have a pretty good
- 27:07Speaker 8: life no matter what the circumstances look like. But if
- 27:10Speaker 8: you're one of those miserable people by default, okay, that's
- 27:14Speaker 8: pretty much going.
- 27:14Speaker 3: To be the driving force behind every day.
- 27:17Speaker 8: And that's, again, that is crack psychology that I learned
- 27:20Speaker 8: in a taxi. But that woman, I believed in what
- 27:23Speaker 8: she said like so thoroughly that I've forgiven her for
- 27:26Speaker 8: running out on the fair.
- 27:27Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, they are miserable. Like you say, you go
- 27:30Speaker 1: to Ohio. How are you doing? I'm great. West side
- 27:33Speaker 1: of Manhattan. How are you doing?
- 27:39Speaker 3: Look, I have a buddy here at Fox. Okay.
- 27:41Speaker 8: Here at Fox, by the way, who absolutely leads every conversation.
- 27:48Speaker 8: with whatever's at the top of the Daily Beast.
- 27:51Speaker 3: So it's literally like, oh, my gosh, did you see J.D.
- 27:53Speaker 3: Vance is going to jail? I'm like, no, and neither
- 27:56Speaker 3: did you. I don't know what you read. I don't
- 27:58Speaker 3: know why you have to share this with me.
- 28:00Speaker 8: But we do this five days a week that I
- 28:02Speaker 8: get this prophecy.
- 28:04Speaker 3: That never comes true.
- 28:04Speaker 8: But the funny thing is they never revisit the headline.
- 28:08Speaker 8: You know, think of like think of so many things
- 28:10Speaker 8: that like remember Russian collusion. We spent two and a
- 28:13Speaker 8: half years on that in the media.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Okay. And when it was over, they just moved on
- 28:18Speaker 3: as if they didn't do that to us. You know, like.
- 28:21Speaker 8: Rachel Maddow was like, he's leaving the White House in handcuffs.
- 28:25Speaker 8: We never even established if he's seen Rocky IV when
- 28:28Speaker 8: Trump fights the Russians.
- 28:32Speaker 1: So this is a brilliant explanation of all of this.
- 28:36Speaker 1: And you're right. You know, one thing about MSNBC, you
- 28:41Speaker 1: never get the real story about it. I'm watching about
- 28:43Speaker 1: the hijacking. It was a Altercation among employees. That's all
- 28:48Speaker 1: it was.
- 28:52Speaker 3: That's my favorite. Tempers flared to Israel because nobody does
- 29:00Speaker 3: the other thing.
- 29:01Speaker 8: Nobody wants to admit that they are complicit in creating
- 29:05Speaker 8: this terrible environment.
- 29:07Speaker 3: You know, it's interesting.
- 29:08Speaker 8: You know, whenever you hear like another outlet railing against
- 29:11Speaker 8: Fox News, they're like, oh, Fox News disinformation. You know,
- 29:15Speaker 8: it's so dangerous. Fox News didn't push Russian collusion. We
- 29:21Speaker 8: didn't push that the vaccine definitely worked.
- 29:23Speaker 3: You know what I mean? We didn't do the things.
- 29:26Speaker 8: They did the things, and they're the ones inflaming the
- 29:28Speaker 8: tensions against Israel, which is why Fox is picking up
- 29:31Speaker 8: so much Jewish viewership.
- 29:33Speaker 3: People realize we're like the only ones sticking up for them.
- 29:36Speaker 8: You're certainly not watching a lot of that on MSNBC
- 29:39Speaker 8: or CNN.
- 29:40Speaker 3: And heaven forbid you're throwing on Miss Rachel. Oh, my goodness.
- 29:45Speaker 3: This good guy's crazy.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Now, it's some of this Trump's fault. He's not exactly
- 29:49Speaker 1: the most diplomatic guy. He can kind of rile people
- 29:53Speaker 1: up a little, right? I mean, he kind of plays
- 29:55Speaker 1: into it, doesn't he?
- 29:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, that's Trump's thing, though. He is a...
- 30:02Speaker 3: I had a grandma like Trump. She just didn't have
- 30:04Speaker 3: a filter. And it would have helped sometimes. But, you know,
- 30:07Speaker 3: you'd be like, yeah, I didn't see your grandma in
- 30:09Speaker 3: two months. You'd be like, hey, grandma. She'd be like, oh,
- 30:11Speaker 3: you got fat.
- 30:12Speaker 7: And you're like, oh, man.
- 30:13Speaker 3: Gee. Well, Merry Christmas, I guess. I don't know what
- 30:17Speaker 3: to do here. I don't start my New Year's resolutions early.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Everybody's got one of those relatives. Hey, big news for
- 30:25Speaker 1: the Democrats. The Iranian Republican Guard endorsed them yesterday. I
- 30:29Speaker 1: actually urged people to vote for them. You think we'll
- 30:32Speaker 1: see that in campaign ads? This one blew me away.
- 30:35Speaker 8: You think you got Iran and the Democrats.
- 30:37Speaker 3: You know, one is famous for chanting death to America.
- 30:40Speaker 3: The other is Iran. You know, what do we even
- 30:43Speaker 3: do here? What do we even do?
- 30:46Speaker 1: So you must be really happy about the Yankees last night.
- 30:51Speaker 8: I got to tell you, man, I had my son
- 30:53Speaker 8: Lincoln came down. He skipped college class. And it was
- 30:58Speaker 8: such an epic moment, you know, last night, the last
- 31:01Speaker 8: two nights in the Bronx, just so incredible.
- 31:04Speaker 3: Because the Yankees, this is the thing, Mark, the Yankees
- 31:06Speaker 3: haven't won in 15 years. So the crowd is really
- 31:10Speaker 3: hungry again.
- 31:12Speaker 8: And there's a really good energy. You know, when the
- 31:14Speaker 8: Yankees got so successful by the end of the 90s,
- 31:17Speaker 8: It had become like a celebrity place where you could
- 31:20Speaker 8: see and be seen, you know, like.
- 31:21Speaker 3: A Lakers game.
- 31:23Speaker 8: But I will tell you, Wednesday night I was there,
- 31:25Speaker 8: and there were like actual fat people sitting.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Behind home plate.
- 31:29Speaker 3: It was amazing. It wasn't Instagram influencers, you know what
- 31:33Speaker 3: I mean? It wasn't some starving model.
- 31:35Speaker 8: Look, if the Yankees keep winning, they're coming back, you know?
- 31:38Speaker 8: But for this first round, it was magical.
- 31:40Speaker 3: It felt like 1996 again, and I loved it so much.
- 31:43Speaker 1: Yeah, but remember, in 96, they hadn't won in 15 years.
- 31:46Speaker 1: That was like the end of the dry spell.
- 31:48Speaker 3: Yes, and it was a big deal.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Jimmy Fail is on every night here. You should listen
- 31:53Speaker 1: to him. I listen to him every night, 9 to midnight.
- 31:55Speaker 1: He's on 9 to midnight. And what do you got
- 31:58Speaker 1: on tonight's show?
- 32:00Speaker 8: Ooh, we love this one. So, Tudor Dixon is actually
- 32:04Speaker 8: over in Israel. And she was supposed to be flying home,
- 32:07Speaker 8: I guess, yesterday. out of the same airport that wild
- 32:11Speaker 8: flight came flying into after that office disagreement, according to
- 32:16Speaker 8: CNN or whatever the heck they're calling.
- 32:21Speaker 3: It, after that plane was rerouted. So we're going to
- 32:25Speaker 3: talk to Tudor. She's on the scene in Israel, and
- 32:28Speaker 3: I'm excited to hear all about it. The story's crazy.
- 32:31Speaker 8: If half of what Trump was saying is true, a
- 32:33Speaker 8: plumber was watching a TV show about airline disasters.
- 32:37Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 32:38Speaker 8: What's going on, but I hope I can get cast
- 32:41Speaker 8: in one of these movies.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Hey, also, he does the best late-night show on television.
- 32:45Speaker 1: It's on the Fox News Channel, Saturday nights at 10.
- 32:48Speaker 1: And the best monologue in TV. And people can get tickets, right,
- 32:51Speaker 1: if they want to come be in the audience.
- 32:53Speaker 8: Yes, the tickets are always free. It's foxacrossamerica.com. We tape
- 32:58Speaker 8: on Friday nights. So if you guys ever want to come, like,
- 33:01Speaker 8: for instance, this weekend, we've got wrestling legend Sergeant Slaughter.
- 33:05Speaker 3: Brian Kilmeade's on. Yeah, the Sarge.
- 33:08Speaker 8: Brian Kilmeade's on. My wife, Jenny Fale, is on this week.
- 33:11Speaker 3: You can come meet Jenny Friday night if you get tickets.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Yeah, you get to meet everybody. It's a wonderful night.
- 33:15Speaker 1: It's free. Bring somebody. Don't tell them you got it
- 33:17Speaker 1: for free. It's a great date night, Friday night. Just
- 33:20Speaker 1: go to foxacrossamerica.com. Get the tickets to be in the
- 33:23Speaker 1: audience at Fox, Fox Across America. And watch Jimmy Fallon
- 33:27Speaker 1: tonight at 9. Listen to him tonight at 9 on WOR.
