- 0:00Did you shit yourself when Ariana like confronted you on
- 0:02that? Yes, because I was like, Oh my
- 0:03God, I don't want her to think that because that just sucks.
- 0:06They ultimately like blamed me for her leaving Twitter.
- 0:09They did not. They did because they hate that
- 0:12I was getting was like kind of crazy.
- 0:14She tweeted something that was like the hate against Jim and
- 0:17Sasha is really crazy and disheartening.
- 0:19And then she like took down her Twitter and they just didn't
- 0:22like me and they were like, who the fuck is this little twink
- 0:24dude? Hang out with Ariana.
- 0:40Hey, Bestie Lulus, and welcome back to Delulu and welcome to
- 0:44today's guestie. You might recognize him from the
- 0:46Voice and his incredible songwriting and music.
- 0:50Please welcome Sasha Allen. Hi.
- 0:52Hi. Thank you so much for being.
- 0:53Here. I'm so happy to be here.
- 0:55Oh my God, I'm really happy to have you here.
- 0:56Like honestly, I was like in a super bad mood before you got
- 0:58here and now I'm like, you're kind of really fun and easy to
- 1:00talk to. Thank you.
- 1:01Really appreciate you talk to. I feel like you're.
- 1:03Chill, thank you. No, I feel like I felt bad
- 1:06'cause I'm. I was like dealing with
- 1:08something right before you got here that.
- 1:10Sucks I'd be crashing out. I was low.
- 1:12Key like Oh my God why did I open my phone before we started
- 1:17shooting? And it's OK to crash out a
- 1:18little bit you. Kind of I'm good like now we're
- 1:20good to go, but Oh my gosh, I'm really excited to have you here.
- 1:23I'm. Excited.
- 1:23We have a lot to get into. We talked about some things
- 1:26before the show and I like. I hope that you'll repeat all of
- 1:29it. I will.
- 1:29OK, cool. Well, OK.
- 1:31Sasha, you said that you're not from LA.
- 1:32You said you're from Connecticut.
- 1:33Yes. OK.
- 1:33So give us the Sasha origin story.
- 1:35What's going on over here? My God.
- 1:37So I grew up in Connecticut. I lived in Connecticut till I
- 1:40was literally 21 years old. So I've only lived here for
- 1:43three years. Like I was like small town
- 1:47Connecticut. Really.
- 1:48Because you referenced being 21 in David and Goliath.
- 1:50Yes, but that he. Came out last year, no.
- 1:53Yes, because you're like 24. Now, now I'm 24, but that was
- 1:56more like because that was like about the times.
- 1:59But I totally, yeah, like I got signed to a label while I was
- 2:03still living in Connecticut. And then I moved to like, like I
- 2:06had to transition from like the Voice and then going back to
- 2:09Connecticut and then being like, how do I move to LA?
- 2:11And I just like, got an apartment like sight unseen.
- 2:13And I had never like, I never I like, I had never even driven
- 2:17around here. I feel like that's such like the
- 2:19standard LA story. People just like end up going to
- 2:21a label and they just like, OK, here I am now I'm going to start
- 2:23living. Here, yes, Yeah.
- 2:24I was like, I have to be there. Like I can't be in Connecticut
- 2:26and I don't want to live in fucking New York.
- 2:28So like, I have to just go to LA, Yeah. 100% Well, he's a
- 2:31place to be, especially as a creative.
- 2:33Well, I guess New York too. But like, I think the music
- 2:35industry and honestly all the entire entertainment industry is
- 2:38here. In LA and the weather.
- 2:39Oh, in LA, yes, it's like so much better.
- 2:42So much better I lived in. New York and it was.
- 2:44I had the worst seasonal depression and I still have it.
- 2:46I didn't. Have it so bad like I can't beat
- 2:48EI can't do. It I can't, you know, when it
- 2:50was a cloudy like a couple weeks ago, that shit hit me hard.
- 2:52Yeah, it's like so nice today. It's so sunny.
- 2:55Today I know I like endless summer.
- 2:57Me too. It's endless summer.
- 2:58That's what I love about LA too. And the weather is so good.
- 3:01OK, but TTT so you end up coming here from Connecticut?
- 3:03Wait, so was the voice in LA? Yes, so that was my first time
- 3:06in LA was just going to the voice, but then I'm like locked
- 3:09down in this hotel and I'm just like on reality TV.
- 3:13So then it was like I never really got to experience LA.
- 3:16Like the most I experienced it was I was finally free from the,
- 3:19I don't want to say free from the voice, but once I got off of
- 3:22it, I could like explore and I like walked down the main road
- 3:26in West Hollywood and I was like, this is crazy.
- 3:29And then I like it's. Like you're living a movie.
- 3:30Yes, yeah. I was like just observing it and
- 3:33then I went full on and lived there and like moved here and
- 3:38had to figure it out. That's crazy.
- 3:40Wait, so how did the voice come about?
- 3:43Oh my God, the voice came about. I was in Community College
- 3:49online trying to get a degree in graphic design and I hated in my
- 3:54life and just wanted to die and everything sucks.
- 3:56Wait, why? Graphic design.
- 3:57Because I can draw. And I was like, what else am I
- 3:59going to get a degree in? Like whatever.
- 4:01And then I was like, this sucks, but.
- 4:02Did you always want to sing? Yeah, that was my dream.
- 4:05Like ever since I was little. And I just felt like lost, like
- 4:08I'm in the middle of Connecticut and I'm like, what do I do?
- 4:10Like, what do I do and how do I do this?
- 4:13And. Yeah, that's a scary thought.
- 4:14Yeah, and all. Creatives go through that where
- 4:16it's like fuck. Yeah, like, what, am I going to
- 4:17fail? And then that sucks for me
- 4:18forever. And I was trying to do the
- 4:20Tiktok thing, which like was working a little bit, but it was
- 4:22still like, what is my life going to be?
- 4:25And then my dad was like, let's go on The Voice.
- 4:29And I was like, we're not going to get on The Voice.
- 4:32Like this is stupid. I don't even want to like do
- 4:34this audition video. Like this is dumb.
- 4:36We're not going to get on The Voice.
- 4:37Like we are not the voice people.
- 4:39And then we ended up getting on The Voice, obviously.
- 4:42And like every audition round, I was like, dad, we're not going
- 4:45to get on The Voice. And then it became clear that we
- 4:48sounded like we sounded good and our story was really good.
- 4:51Like dad with his transgender son.
- 4:53Are you fucking kidding me? Like that's a gold.
- 4:56You know 100%. And they loved it, yes, they
- 4:58wanted it. And I was like, wait a minute,
- 4:59we are going to be on The Voice. And my dad and I were not a duo
- 5:03before The Voice. Like we just sang together
- 5:06because we were like, this will work and like they'll want this.
- 5:10Like my dad was like, they're not going to want me.
- 5:11And like, you could, you could audition like by yourself too,
- 5:14and they probably want you. But if we went on together, we'd
- 5:16probably get on. And we did.
- 5:17Did you go in with the intention of like, maybe like, OK, we're
- 5:20coming with an angle now. Like there's a little bit of an
- 5:22appeal here because it's like, like exactly what?
- 5:23You said, yeah, I was. I was aware also because like of
- 5:26the angle, because I was like, Oh my God, I'm going to be
- 5:28openly transgender in front of everyone.
- 5:30And that's going to be like, like they did the home visit.
- 5:33They did the whole package. They came to Connecticut and
- 5:35filmed and did the whole background and everything.
- 5:37And so it was super like I knew that that was going to be a part
- 5:40of the story and I had to be gentle and really mindful about
- 5:44how I handled that because I was like, a lot of people watch this
- 5:46show and a lot of people in like Midwest vibe like they watch the
- 5:49voice. It's such a show that's just on
- 5:51in the living room and people are, you know what I mean?
- 5:53It's like a living room show. It's a TV show like.
- 5:55Like background noise, but people are watching.
- 5:57It and like, so I, I was really, I was like, I have to be mindful
- 6:02about this and my goal going into it was just like, I'm going
- 6:04to, I didn't think I'd make it past the blind audition at all,
- 6:07at all. I, I was like, I am so happy.
- 6:10I'm just going to be on TV and I'm just going to try and milk
- 6:13this to its fullest. Yeah.
- 6:14And I'm going to do it and that's it.
- 6:16Because I don't think we're making it through.
- 6:17Because I looked at the people around me and I was like, these
- 6:20people are insane. Like gospel singers,
- 6:22motherfuckers. Like they're incredible.
- 6:25These teams are going to fill up.
- 6:26Some people who are there don't even get to audition because the
- 6:29teams, like, fill up. Like the judges, teams fill.
- 6:30Up and so crazy. Crazy.
- 6:32So like, they stay there for weeks and then they're like,
- 6:34hey, the teams are full. So I don't know if that would
- 6:36happen, but I felt hopeful because they gave us the whole
- 6:39TV package totally. So yeah, I didn't expect to make
- 6:43it far at all. Oh my God, at all.
- 6:45But then OK, how's the experience being on The Voice
- 6:47then? It was, it was really unique and
- 6:50I'm feel really lucky to have done it and I would never do it
- 6:53ever again like it was. I think people underestimate the
- 6:57intensity of reality TV and the like.
- 7:02Oh my God. We'd be in a recording studio
- 7:04until 2:00 in the morning, and then at 6:00 in the morning we'd
- 7:07have to be camera ready and have a song memorized because we're
- 7:10singing with Keke Palmer and it's like for the Christmas
- 7:13special for like Sing 2 or something.
- 7:15Like how crazy. It became crazy.
- 7:17Like it got too crazy to the point that when I was eliminated
- 7:21I was like. Were you relieved?
- 7:23I was so relieved. I didn't want to win that.
- 7:25Show no way, no one. Wants to win that show that's on
- 7:28there straight up I feel like. Voice winners don't even win
- 7:31because like, I don't even know what happens after, you know?
- 7:34They got, they get, if they win the same exact contract that I
- 7:38got with Republic records really.
- 7:40And what happened to me with Republic?
- 7:43Clocking right, that's. True, like you know, and the
- 7:45winners so. Either way, you all lose.
- 7:46The winners of my season just got dropped by Republic Records.
- 7:49Oh. Shit, no, they.
- 7:50Just got dropped so I'm like and it's a really like.
- 7:53Tight. They feel like freed though.
- 7:55Yeah, now they feel free because they were like, you try and make
- 7:57it work and then it just doesn't work and you get stuck in a
- 7:59contract that people look at and they're like, this contract
- 8:02sucks. Like it is not in your favor.
- 8:05You sign it before you're even on the show.
- 8:06Oh, shit. Like you can't be on the show
- 8:08unless you sign. Like hey, I'm agreeing.
- 8:11Because they're putting out the singles and stuff.
- 8:13Yes. Yeah, and.
- 8:14So you're already owned when you're on there and it looks
- 8:17like a dream and then it's not. And so I was very happy to be
- 8:22off. I just wanted like, you want
- 8:24like airtime. I don't know, you're a musician.
- 8:26I'm like, I'm trying to build like a platform and whatever.
- 8:28And the more I'm on this and the more airtime and the more I
- 8:30perform like that's good. I didn't expect to make it to
- 8:33top 9 at fucking all. Like I was like how am I still
- 8:37here? So how long is that process
- 8:39then? Like from like a couple weeks,
- 8:41couple months. The whole thing like was over
- 8:45because you film like the not live stuff and then you go home
- 8:48and all airs and then they fly you back and you do all the
- 8:50live. So it was like really over the
- 8:51course of like a year. Oh shit, that's kind of a long
- 8:54time. It's long.
- 8:55I was not expecting. It becomes your life.
- 8:57It's like the voice and then you do it and then it's all airing
- 9:00and then the live shit is like it's a whole air beast.
- 9:02It's a lot. That is so crazy because
- 9:04literally, like, you're explaining this and that is a
- 9:06lot. And then we were talking right
- 9:07before this, like, yeah, today, after this, I'm just gonna hang
- 9:09out. Yeah, I'm gonna play Fortnite
- 9:12like. Like it's so like I want to be
- 9:14able to chill. And that was like, it was chill
- 9:16at 1st. And then you realize over the
- 9:18course of time you're like, I'm so deep in this reality TV show
- 9:22and this is a lot. And this is like it's more than
- 9:25you really know you're signing up for.
- 9:27And a lot of it is really good, but a lot of it is very just
- 9:29intense. It's like intense on your brain
- 9:31and you're not getting enough sleep, you're not eating,
- 9:33you're. Performing all the time?
- 9:34Yeah, you're. Performing all the time.
- 9:35I got laryngitis from singing too much.
- 9:38Like people losing their voices, getting sick, people having
- 9:40crash outs on set like it is intense.
- 9:43Damn they be putting y'all through it.
- 9:45Yes, like I see people on reality TV now and I'm like.
- 9:48Like you see people? Crashing on reality TV and like
- 9:51they're crashing out because they're on reality TV.
- 9:53And they're like so burnt out. Yes.
- 9:54Oh my gosh, how scary it's. Some burnout.
- 9:57OK, so you would never do that again.
- 9:58I would never do it again, but I'm happy that I did it and I
- 10:01got a lot out of it. But Oh my God.
- 10:03How's it working with Ariana? Oh, like the greatest.
- 10:06Like that was like she defined for honestly, like everyone on
- 10:11her team defined that entire experience.
- 10:13We got a different experience than everyone else and everyone
- 10:15had a really like great their own experience.
- 10:17Yeah, totally. But.
- 10:17She like, I don't know, she went way beyond what she would like
- 10:24had to do and what her responsibility was as like a
- 10:27coach like. She like she's invested deeply.
- 10:31Invested like she invited all of us to spend Thanksgiving with
- 10:33her family. Like she was up on FaceTime
- 10:37calls with us at like 1:00 in the morning trying to figure out
- 10:41a song like she was she like. Completely didn't have to do any
- 10:43of that. She didn't.
- 10:44I'm like, you don't owe me shit. You didn't have to do this.
- 10:47You can just go and sit in the red chair and do your thing like
- 10:49everybody else on camera. Shit.
- 10:51Yeah. And like, she was like
- 10:54definitely like, like held me up a lot through how intense that
- 11:00was. Like we cried together.
- 11:02I was like, I'm fucking losing it.
- 11:04I'm done. Like I don't even want to do
- 11:05this anymore. Crazy shit.
- 11:06Like she was there for me in a way that was very real.
- 11:10And nobody else had that with their coaches because, like, you
- 11:12don't have to do that if you're a coach.
- 11:13Oh, absolutely right. You're.
- 11:14Doing your job? Wait so were you 2 like really
- 11:16close? Yes, yeah, we get like and like
- 11:19built like built a really close friendship, especially when like
- 11:23I was me and my dad were the last one standing on her team
- 11:26for like a minute there at the end.
- 11:28And yeah, we got really close. And she's just like, like I
- 11:32cannot say enough good things about her.
- 11:33Like out of all the things about her that are like she's an
- 11:36incredible artist and musician and singer and as this like
- 11:39insane career and what I admire the absolute most about her is
- 11:44like she's so like she's like she is real.
- 11:47Like she is a real one. She is funny.
- 11:50She is so genuine, genuinely like the funniest human being
- 11:54I've ever met. I love her and it's really cool,
- 11:56like post voice, like seeing everything that she's done, you
- 12:00know what I mean to do? She's crazy.
- 12:02Even like getting to do that with her at that point, she was
- 12:04already so massive within her career, Yeah.
- 12:07Like I was. Like intentional with you?
- 12:08That's crazy. Yeah, I didn't even know that
- 12:10she was going to be a judge on it either, or a coach.
- 12:12And I was like, we like found out.
- 12:14And we were like, Oh my God. Like Ariana's gonna, like, I
- 12:16could not believe that she was going to be there.
- 12:17And like, I'm so lucky because that relationship with her, in
- 12:21friendship with her meant so much to me and made that
- 12:23experience like what it was. Like, I love her.
- 12:27I just love her. She's a good person.
- 12:29Like if anybody chooses to be a fan of someone, it should be her
- 12:32because she is. Like, she is so real.
- 12:34I love her. Should we address your Ariana
- 12:37allegations? So, Sasha Allen, you have some.
- 12:41Yes. Hating Ariana Grande
- 12:42allegations? What's going on there?
- 12:44What happened? You allegedly had a hate page,
- 12:48you allegedly like shady tweets and Ariana Grande confronted you
- 12:51about this. So this happened when I was on
- 12:54The Voice. Picture the anxiety level, like
- 12:57really picture that you wake up, you wake up you with four hours
- 13:01of sleep, you're in a Marriott Hotel room and you look on
- 13:04Twitter and you're trending and you're like, Oh my God.
- 13:08And I look, and there was these accusations that I had an Ariana
- 13:14hate page that I like shady tweets about Ariana.
- 13:17People photoshopped like tweets of me too, like saying, saying
- 13:21crazy shit, like saying slurs and stuff.
- 13:23There was they, they just did not like me.
- 13:27I don't know why they didn't like me.
- 13:29I don't know if it was because I was like, like even me having
- 13:33like silly exchanges with Ariana on Twitter or something.
- 13:36They get pissed at me over yeah. They were really, and so many of
- 13:39her fans also were very loving, but it was like, it's always
- 13:43like the loudest people that are really strange and they're very
- 13:47just like, who is this twink on Team Ariana?
- 13:50That's like taking Ariana away from us.
- 13:52And I'm like, I am literally just like a kid and I'm like
- 13:54fucking here and I don't know what I'm doing.
- 13:56Yeah, genuinely. So I was like, holy shit.
- 13:58Like, and then someone's saying that.
- 13:59So that's so deeply untrue that it's like crazy.
- 14:03Like imagine me having an Ariana hate page.
- 14:05Am IA psychopath. How do you have time for that?
- 14:08And also, wouldn't I like, Oh my God, like Kelly and Ariana both
- 14:12turned for me for my performance.
- 14:13If I had an Ariana hate page, I'd be like, I'm not even
- 14:15touching that. Like that's crazy.
- 14:18That's crazy. But then you see something about
- 14:20yourself, like if you saw something that said you, I don't
- 14:23know, like, yeah, I don't know, like did anything that was just
- 14:26fucking nuts. And you're like, what do I say
- 14:27to defend myself against something that's so like, how do
- 14:31you even defend it? Because it's so not true.
- 14:32I just saw my. Publicist, like, yeah.
- 14:34And I'm, I wish I had a publicist.
- 14:35Thanks. I'd be like, you need to help
- 14:36me. No, I was like, Oh my God.
- 14:38And it's blowing up. And I'm like, this is crazy
- 14:41because it's not true. And then she she reached out to
- 14:45me about it. She like, what did she?
- 14:46Say like she was like, because she saw it, because she was
- 14:49people talking about it, Yeah. And OK.
- 14:52And so Ariana saw that your name was trending because of this
- 14:54alleged hate games. For her, and it was a lot of
- 14:56like I was getting, it was too much.
- 14:59I was low key freaking out. Like I was sitting in my glam
- 15:00chair at The Voice and I was like, Oh my God, like, 'cause I
- 15:03didn't want her to believe it. I didn't want other people to
- 15:06believe it or even think that I'm that person.
- 15:08Yeah. Who the fuck is like an R?
- 15:09Like if you haven't, like if you have a hate page, you're just a
- 15:11loser in general. I.
- 15:13Love her like I fucking love. Her.
- 15:15Oh my. God, And so she hit me up and
- 15:19she was like, I saw what's going on on Twitter.
- 15:21I want you to know, like, if that is true, I think it's just
- 15:24really funny and like, I really love you and like, I care about
- 15:27you and like. Wait, she's like, mad cool.
- 15:28She's mad. She was like, I would honestly
- 15:30just think that that's super funny if you used to have a hate
- 15:32page about me and like, we're cool and I love you.
- 15:34Wait, that's really cool. Yeah.
- 15:36And I was like, I still think, like I told her I was like, that
- 15:40is so deeply untrue. That's not a thing.
- 15:43And I love you and that like, that's not a thing.
- 15:45Even if I did like I'm just not a weirdo.
- 15:48And that's like, I didn't want to believe it.
- 15:49And there's still this like, part of me like it's weird
- 15:52because there are people who saw that at that time and still
- 15:54might think that that's true. Totally.
- 15:56So crazy. Like like it's just wild because
- 15:59like if I saw that about someone I would probably just assume it
- 16:01was true because I don't think people make up weird.
- 16:03Because people just casually like, you know, they're going to
- 16:05see something like OK, T. Like shout out to the person who
- 16:08started that because that went crazy like that.
- 16:10I know, and the smear campaign was active.
- 16:12Yes, it was. And it was like, and it
- 16:15continued. And then they ultimately like
- 16:18blamed me for her leaving Twitter because.
- 16:20They did not. They did because they hate that
- 16:23I was getting was like kind of crazy.
- 16:26And then she tweeted something that was like, the hate against
- 16:29Jim and Sasha is really crazy and disheartening.
- 16:32And then she like took down her Twitter.
- 16:34And so I took the blame for that.
- 16:36And they just didn't like me. And they were like, who the fuck
- 16:38is this little twink dude hanging out with Ariana?
- 16:40And they, yeah, they did not fuck me or like even, I don't
- 16:45know, like it was just weird. Was it just like Stan Twitter on
- 16:49your ass? Yeah, like people are.
- 16:50Evil and I understand the vibes like Stan Twitter and I was on
- 16:54Twitter trying to harness the power of like Twitter for votes
- 16:58yeah and like I'm not like dumb. I also know I'm putting myself
- 17:01in the line of fire of like people that are psycho like so
- 17:04where? But I was not expecting people
- 17:08to be like, just make shit up. And it's weird because there are
- 17:11people that believe that I had an Ariana hate page.
- 17:14I literally just saw that recently.
- 17:16Yeah, yes, I, I just saw that 'cause I knew you were coming on
- 17:18the show and I saw a tweet about that and I was like, I texted
- 17:21Charlie and I was like. Crazy.
- 17:23Wouldn't that be crazy? Like crazy?
- 17:25Totally. And it's weird 'cause people are
- 17:27just like, it's casually like, Oh yeah.
- 17:29Like I think he was the one that had like an Ariana hate page.
- 17:32And I'm like, that's my legacy. That's my legacy.
- 17:34Like that's crazy. We needed damage control.
- 17:36I know we're doing it right now, actually.
- 17:38But like she said, if I did, which I my fear is still that
- 17:41she maybe thinks that it's. It's true.
- 17:43I think Ariana like secretly thinks that you have it because.
- 17:45If I was her and people were like Ariana, which would never
- 17:48happen, someone's like Ariana has a hate page.
- 17:50Like you used to have a hate page, right?
- 17:51You I'd be like, that's such a random rumor that like, I don't
- 17:54know, like is there some truth to that?
- 17:56Like that's so specific and random.
- 17:57Very specific. So like, yeah, but it never at
- 18:01this point I would own up to it and be like, you know what?
- 18:03And also show me the receipts, show me the crazy.
- 18:06There's nothing but OK. Yeah, I love them.
- 18:08Fuck them. They're crazy.
- 18:10I'm so sorry about. That I was scared I will like
- 18:12actually I think I had like weird trauma response to it when
- 18:15I was that like in the era. No, I like to.
- 18:17I've had things happen where like when that's happening,
- 18:20where you're getting an influx of hate and it's just like it's
- 18:22paralyzing. Yes, it's paralyzing.
- 18:24So fucking like I was already struggling to cope and it was
- 18:27that on top of it and it was like not good mentally.
- 18:31I also couldn't even go to therapy when I was on The Voice
- 18:33and I was like, I was a kid. Like I know I was 20, but I was
- 18:36like, no, you're a kid. Like I was a kid.
- 18:38You're still a kid. Like I look back and I'm like,
- 18:39Oh my God, I didn't know anything and 100%.
- 18:42I was just. Scared and like my dad didn't
- 18:45know I was going and my dad's like not on Twitter.
- 18:46I'm like, let me handle the social media thing and.
- 18:48There is that, yeah. It was rough and I was the only
- 18:51one really getting a lot of attention on socials too, like
- 18:53out of everyone on the cast and it was negative and I was like.
- 18:56Oh my God, I'm so sorry. But all press is good press top
- 18:599. Period.
- 19:00Clock, period. Exactly.
- 19:02There you go. You're fine.
- 19:02Yeah, well, I'm so sorry about that, though.
- 19:04That's super scary. Yeah, we are Stan Twitter scary.
- 19:07Super scary. OK, what's the allegation about
- 19:10you being an undercover Swifty? This.
- 19:12Is what I don't get because which I'm not truly I'm
- 19:18officially saying this now I'm my okay my username is still
- 19:21speak now Sasha which let me start with this my username is
- 19:23speak now Sasha speak now Taylor Swift album.
- 19:26I have loved Taylor Swift since I was like a little girl like in
- 19:30a very I have always loved Taylor Swift in a horse girl way
- 19:34like not a stand way like a very horse girl way very lesbian
- 19:37horse girl is my love for Taylor Swift.
- 19:39Completely makes. Sense and so speak now Sasha my
- 19:42whole family's like Sasha's always loved Taylor Swift I
- 19:44always did and how can I be an undercover Swifty when my name
- 19:49is speak now Sasha like you think that that I'm undercover
- 19:53everybody here knows that I love Taylor Swift I'm like out here
- 19:55trying to sing Taylor Swift songs on The Voice like everyone
- 19:58is aware of this like they thought that I was like.
- 20:00Undercover trying to like like I don't know and I'm like I'm not
- 20:05invested in that way I am horse girl Taylor Swift lover you know
- 20:09what I. Mean.
- 20:10And like since then that's like kind of faded out.
- 20:13I don't know what to change my username to because I feel kind
- 20:15of stuck with like speaking. Really.
- 20:16Oh, but you can't do like Sasha Allen.
- 20:18Yes, because of the other Sasha Allen that was also on the Void.
- 20:22I don't want to be like Sasha Allen 15 like that's.
- 20:25What is happening? I feel like you know, you've
- 20:27been through it. Are you OK?
- 20:30No, I'm not. Should we do therapy right now?
- 20:32This honestly all make you feel. Like I don't know what to change
- 20:37your fucking Instagram I. Completely got it.
- 20:39You got to change this to dangerous, man Dangerous.
- 20:42Man, yes. We can really clear.
- 20:46Someone else like Sasha Allen. Music All about sweetener.
- 20:48Sasha. Yeah.
- 20:49Sweetener. Sweetener sauce.
- 20:51Sweetener sauce. We gotta, we gotta clean that
- 20:54real quick. Yeah, OK.
- 20:55So. I'm just gonna claim that they
- 20:56are already exist. Sweetener sauce is actually
- 20:58cute. Yeah, you should do that.
- 21:00I should do that. But then people are gonna be
- 21:01like, damn, you're really like doubling down on like the Not
- 21:03Hate page. You gotta just make an Ariana
- 21:05fan page now. I know, yeah, I basically I'm a
- 21:07like a walking Ariana fan page though 'cause I'm like, she's
- 21:10incredible. You just gave her hell a good
- 21:12press right now. Genuinely like.
- 21:14She's so awesome. She's a good genuine, I've never
- 21:18met someone funnier, more genuine and just like Oh my God,
- 21:21she was sitting here like chill this bitch ever.
- 21:23I love her. Yeah, she's cool.
- 21:25I am the fan page. I feel like I have like a slight
- 21:27thing about Ariana. I can tell you're a huge fan and
- 21:30love her, so I don't even know if she'd bring it up, bring it
- 21:32up. I'll just bring it up.
- 21:33Basically it was down to her and I for gain casted for Galinda
- 21:38and obviously she got it. So I'm a little salty about
- 21:40that. OK.
- 21:41Because that could have been me. It should have been me.
- 21:43Have you talked about it in therapy?
- 21:45I've talked about it in therapy. Ariana was sweet about it.
- 21:47She sent flowers. She apologized.
- 21:49But you know, I just, I can't watch the movies.
- 21:51Now I think it should have been you.
- 21:53I think it should have been me too.
- 21:55But you know what? Congratulations, Ariana.
- 21:59You deserve it. It's OK.
- 22:00That's fine. And I am, I am a very open non
- 22:04closeted Swifty. We're just clear up everything
- 22:08right now. So crazy.
- 22:09The undercover made no sense to me because I was like, you're I,
- 22:11That's what I was going to ask. I was like, speak now about
- 22:14Taylor. Yes, that is Taylor Swift.
- 22:15Is that your favorite Taylor? Yes.
- 22:18Really. Yeah.
- 22:19Clock. And I was really outwardly
- 22:21loving Taylor, like. Yeah.
- 22:23I told everyone I love Taylor Swift, so I'm like, I'm very not
- 22:25undercover. You know, yeah, absolutely.
- 22:27I got that. Yeah.
- 22:28Speak Now is amazing. Yes.
- 22:29What's your favorite Taylor song?
- 22:31Oh. My God, sounds like so cheese
- 22:33ball because it's everyone's but all too well, I was.
- 22:37Like the second you started that, I was like, it's going to.
- 22:39Be all too well. And it had it's like resurgence
- 22:42and it needed it because like totally sing that song when I
- 22:44was like a little girl and I'm like, this is poetry.
- 22:47It's so great music. Honestly, I feel like All Too
- 22:49Well is very much in the vein of the music that you've been
- 22:51putting out too though. Yeah, she's a heavy inspiration
- 22:54because I listened to her in like a lot in formative years of
- 22:58my life. Not so much anymore.
- 23:00I'm finally on like the finally sounds like I've been like
- 23:03waiting to but I'm on the trail off of Taylor but like.
- 23:07Why is that? You just like feel like you
- 23:08gotta. Honestly, like I'm.
- 23:11Swifty Down. And I appreciate it.
- 23:13I love her. And I'll always like, I always
- 23:15will have like a lot of love for Taylor Swift.
- 23:18But like, I, I think that she I kind of with everything going on
- 23:23in the fucking world, I don't like that she's staying silent.
- 23:25And I'm usually not the motherfucker to say that, but I
- 23:28didn't like that she did the whole like, you need to calm
- 23:32down. You're being to that like gay
- 23:33people. Yes, I'm going to make a big
- 23:35thing about getting everybody registered to vote.
- 23:37And then it's like, we are literally locking up like
- 23:40toddlers in this country. And you're like, like, I don't
- 23:43know, like say something like Ariana said something.
- 23:46Sasha, I'm shaking for you right now.
- 23:48The Swifties are going to come for.
- 23:50Your ass. And I love her.
- 23:51I really love her. That's why it hurts me because
- 23:53I'm like, trans people aren't I'm here.
- 23:54I'm like, transgender people are under attack.
- 23:56Like that's very valid of you to feel though, because like
- 23:59honestly, being directly affected and the queer community
- 24:02and just like exactly we said everything going on in the state
- 24:04of the world, like it's definitely a lot I.
- 24:06Love. Her I feel like there's such a
- 24:08fine line between like, because as an entertainer and being in
- 24:12entertainment industry, it's like what what is appropriate,
- 24:15what is right? Like what makes sense, You know
- 24:17what I mean? Like, I like, I walk that line
- 24:19all the time. I'm like, I don't know what to
- 24:20say or do. Yeah, obviously Taylor Swift
- 24:22platform is way bigger. That's the thing like you're
- 24:24dealing with, I think it's the point where you're dealing with
- 24:26like your career kind of becomes like a corporation, like she it
- 24:30becomes kind of like corporate entity vibe.
- 24:32Yeah. And I kind of have this feeling
- 24:34of like, how do you not say like, how do you not say
- 24:38something like I don't, I can't connect with the thought of like
- 24:42this person is making art and I'm listening to them and they
- 24:45are not. I'm like, how are you not seeing
- 24:47this? Like Oh my God, if I had that
- 24:48platform, I'd be she like also she did great stuff with like
- 24:51getting people registered to vote and like most people.
- 24:54Are not. Yes.
- 24:55And there was like, that made me so happy.
- 24:58And I was like, she rules for that and like love to her and I
- 25:03love her, but I just want her to do it again because I'm like
- 25:07people like I, I don't know. I don't know.
- 25:09It's kind. Of rough, yes, it turns me off a
- 25:11little bit because I'm just like trans people, immigrants, like,
- 25:14come on. And these people like Billy
- 25:16Eilish that like really put themselves out on a limb, which
- 25:19I don't think. I'm not trying to say anybody
- 25:21has to do anything, but I did not like the outwardly like
- 25:26being vocal about stuff and gay people and everything and then
- 25:29really pulling it back when shit got worse.
- 25:31Maybe you should change your username to Fearless Sasha.
- 25:34Fearless Sasha, because I love Fearless.
- 25:36Right. And you're being fearless right
- 25:37now because they're they're for sure going to come after you.
- 25:39Oh my God. I love Taylor, yeah, I really
- 25:42love her. And that's the end of the day.
- 25:43As a transgender Taylor Swift fan, I, I wanted to say
- 25:48something, man. Yeah, like say something low
- 25:50key. And I don't like being that
- 25:52person, but like. But honestly, it's.
- 25:53Completely fair and you're valid to feel that way.
- 25:55Like especially with your own lived in experiences growing up,
- 25:58having her be so influential to you.
- 25:59Like you said, she influenced a lot of your formative years.
- 26:02Like first grade, like on and on.
- 26:04I would take off school when the albums came out.
- 26:05No, you wouldn't, but I would. I would take off school.
- 26:08I would like, Oh my God, it was like a holiday.
- 26:10Oh my God, I was swifty. Boots.
- 26:12Boots down, Boots down every October.
- 26:15You had a day off of school. When I remember I first saw and
- 26:18it was her debut. Since debut, I have been a
- 26:22Swifty and I'm like, I just like, I love her as a as a
- 26:26writer and as a performer and as everything.
- 26:28And I totally had a crush on her when I was like a little
- 26:30lesbian. Am I totally?
- 26:32Now I'm I just yeah. And I think it already like I
- 26:35think it faded off like a little naturally because like I didn't
- 26:38I was like just her style. Now I'm not like super.
- 26:42I'm like the news. I like the country is right, but
- 26:44like. And I hear that in your music.
- 26:46Too, I like country music and that's why I love Taylor Swift
- 26:49and that's why I continue to love Taylor Swift and she's a
- 26:51great artist, but. Oh my God, yeah, because I was.
- 26:54I was telling you before the show, you love harmonica.
- 26:55I love harmonica. Yeah.
- 26:57I was like listening. To your music.
- 26:58And I was like, wait, this is like everywhere.
- 26:59I was like. Because it Amina, we were
- 27:02listening it to last night, Amina was like, is this country?
- 27:04And I was like, I think it's not country, but it kind of gives
- 27:08country. I love country, that's my
- 27:10favorite genre. Really.
- 27:11Would you say your music is country?
- 27:14No, but I'd say it has it's. Like acoustic country leaning.
- 27:17Like, yeah, it has. I'd say it has influence because
- 27:19I'm like, that's always been my favorite genre.
- 27:21That's why I was a Swifty. Like I love and you do like.
- 27:24Storytelling like country too. Yeah, and that's also why I like
- 27:28it's, it's like, it is like the writing of country music I like.
- 27:31And it's also like, I'm definitely not like Southern.
- 27:34So it's like, but if I was, I'd make such a badass.
- 27:37Like if I had a twang, I feel like you still can.
- 27:39I could like, yeah. Just do it.
- 27:41Just do it. Fuck it, why not?
- 27:42Like a fake little like country accent but it definitely heavy
- 27:45influence. For sure.
- 27:47Yeah. So you said you were signs to
- 27:49Republic just on The Voice, like off the bat.
- 27:52You're already signed. Yeah.
- 27:53Like you signed the contract before and then I was like voted
- 27:58off or like eliminated or like whatever.
- 28:00And then they made the choice to like execute the contract.
- 28:06So like it was already signed and so it was executed and then
- 28:08I was signed to Republic Records.
- 28:09How long were you with them for? Three years.
- 28:11So what happened there? You said you're shelved, you're
- 28:14held hostage. Like they I recorded it was it
- 28:19was literally like pulling teeth at times to get like someone to
- 28:23reply to me. Holy shit of just like, hey,
- 28:27what's up and I'm gonna get back to you.
- 28:30Like waiting two months for a reply.
- 28:33That's terrible. Being like I can call you in
- 28:34three weeks and me being like, like, what am I doing?
- 28:40I eventually after like a lot of time and a lot of them putting
- 28:44me in, in writing sessions that I was like, please stop for the
- 28:48love of God putting me in these writing sessions like I cannot
- 28:52do this. I am trying and I can't do this.
- 28:53Why are you putting me with? Really, what was?
- 28:55Going on oh, it's just like because you talk about on David
- 28:57and Glife. Yeah, like they were literally
- 28:59were putting me with like not just letting me make your music.
- 29:05Yeah, and like I'm down for like a Co write and everything but
- 29:07they were he like they literally told me that they wanted me to
- 29:11be something that I wasn't or this one guy told me.
- 29:14Classic tale. Yes, and like it was so classic
- 29:18and it was so like we want you to be you're like you should do
- 29:21this thing and you should be Shawn Mendes.
- 29:22And I'm like, I don't know, like Shawn Mendes is cool, but like
- 29:25why? I don't know, like, let me just
- 29:27try and cook my shit. Like what is not?
- 29:29And then so we eventually, after doing that for a year and a half
- 29:33of nothing and nothing coming out of it, I met a producer and
- 29:38we just recorded my songs that I wrote on.
- 29:40We recorded a whole EP and then they just never fucking put it
- 29:45out. They just never put it out.
- 29:47I would hit them up. It's because I they were like,
- 29:49you need a manager to put it out.
- 29:51And I'm like, I don't have a manager.
- 29:53And they were like, you're going to need to pay a manager out of
- 29:55pocket. And I'm like, I'm not paying a
- 29:56manager out of pocket. I don't have any money, bro.
- 29:59They were like, it was like issues.
- 30:02It was like there they just couldn't put it out.
- 30:05And it sat for a year and a half.
- 30:07Yeah, like a year and a half because it was a year and a half
- 30:09and then a year and a half and it just did not come out.
- 30:12They had no plan. I never had a team.
- 30:14I never met a marketing person. I would never.
- 30:18I have zero idea. I guess like.
- 30:20They literally held you hostage. Yeah.
- 30:21And I was like, what is this for?
- 30:23Because I'm like, do I didn't even like I would say it's like
- 30:26they didn't want me. Like they just wanted to like
- 30:28hold me back and like keep me from releasing my own music.
- 30:30Like I genuinely think they did not like the people or the
- 30:34person that I was working with. Just truly did not give a single
- 30:37rat's fucking ass about me at all.
- 30:40That's the worst. Like he did not like me, dude.
- 30:42And. Was this your AR?
- 30:44Yeah. Oh no.
- 30:45He did not like me. He was an Ariana Stand who like,
- 30:48believed the allegations. He's like, I know you have a
- 30:50hate page, this 100% coming out. But yeah, like he whatever.
- 30:57I called him one day because I was like, I'm done.
- 30:59It was after I met my current girlfriend Adore, and I told her
- 31:02about my situation. I was like, I just feel so
- 31:04stuck. And she was like, fucking leave.
- 31:06Like, that sounds horrible. And I was so connected to the
- 31:09idea of like I put so much of my time into.
- 31:12This like you missed so much into it Yes, like.
- 31:14Three years of my life, like 2120, like early 20s.
- 31:18And so yeah, I would called him like last Oh my God, the
- 31:25November or December before this past 1 So 2 Decembers ago I
- 31:29called him and I was like, hey, what like what is like this is
- 31:33not going to come out like I am. So I feel drained and creatively
- 31:38and emotionally I'm in a cesspool of hell and I hate my
- 31:42life and this fucking sucks. Please drop me.
- 31:45And he was like, well, you know, like we could get it together
- 31:49and, and. Told me they wanted to keep you
- 31:50after all. That told me the same exact
- 31:52thing that he had been saying to me for months of like.
- 31:55They just want to show you. Yeah.
- 31:56And I was like, no, drop me then.
- 31:59It took them months and and it was just on the fault of this
- 32:02one dude. Like I realized at the end, like
- 32:04when I reached out to people that like mattered at Republic
- 32:08and I was like, can you please help me?
- 32:09Like I'm fucked. Like I asked to be dropped
- 32:12months ago. I'm having a viral song moment
- 32:14right now and I can't release music because you guys still
- 32:16have me signed to you. And I realized honestly how easy
- 32:19it was that it took when I reached out to the right person
- 32:22at Republic, a higher up person, it took 24 hours to be dropped
- 32:25and this dude had me waiting for months just to be dropped even
- 32:29after it. Like so it was ongoing even
- 32:32after I decided I was going to be dropped and I was still
- 32:34handcuffed. And then the first week I was
- 32:36dropped, I release my first single When I Forgive You.
- 32:41And then I think like the next month I recorded an EP by myself
- 32:45just in my girlfriend's. Was that jawbreaker?
- 32:47Wait, what happened to the EP that you did under Republic?
- 32:51It's gone. No.
- 32:52Are you sad? It's just gone, honestly, I feel
- 32:55because some songs on my EP that I released myself were on the EP
- 32:59with Republic, but I wrote them completely myself.
- 33:01So they don't like own them. You took it back, and I think it
- 33:05took so long for that EP to come out that around the time I was
- 33:08dropped, I went back in and I found the link to like the files
- 33:11and I listened to it and I was like, it's been so long that my
- 33:14voice has dropped from testosterone since we even
- 33:16recorded these. OMG so it.
- 33:18Doesn't even sound like, it's not like I don't even want to
- 33:21put this out. Like I don't want this volume.
- 33:23That's not like it was like a year and a half.
- 33:25And I was like. Oh my God, I sound like more of
- 33:27a man now and this sounds like a little version of me and I I
- 33:30don't want this anymore and. Did they fund that project?
- 33:35Yes. The shells project.
- 33:37Yes, they they funded it and everything, but I never met like
- 33:41they never. It was always like you're going
- 33:43to get the team and it all it'll go really quickly.
- 33:47All of a sudden you'll see like. Yeah, some bullshit.
- 33:49And I was like OK, like never met a team.
- 33:52They actually gave me one girl. Then they were like she's on
- 33:55your team and then she got laid off 2 weeks later.
- 33:57Oh my God, they were playing in your face.
- 33:59I was like, she's gone. Like she was my one person.
- 34:03Soul. Person.
- 34:04Yeah, that's crazy. Oh my God.
- 34:05And that's what I'll tell you before the show.
- 34:07I love David and Glive. Thank you.
- 34:08Like, what an incredible song. And I think it's so relatable,
- 34:11especially for anyone in the entertainment industry.
- 34:13And just detailing, like, that whole thing.
- 34:15I love the perspective switch from going from like you Yeah,
- 34:18to like, I'm assuming the label. Yes, yeah.
- 34:20That's so good, Yeah. And that song is so crazy good
- 34:23but. Like so much I was.
- 34:24Listening to it and I was just like, holy shit.
- 34:25Like literally this is what the industry is.
- 34:27Yes, yeah. And I love that you audit tuned
- 34:29yourself when you said audit tune.
- 34:30I know. Yeah, I know.
- 34:31That's why a little I was like, Oh my God, I'm literally a
- 34:33producer, right? Now Oh my God, look at you.
- 34:34I'm literally. Gonna audit tune it like, Oh my
- 34:36God, it sounds like attitude like, yeah.
- 34:38And that I just wrote on a walk when I was like, I was in the
- 34:42middle of like trying to figure out what was going to be on my
- 34:44EP. And I was like, this is just so
- 34:47fucking unfair. Like it's so unfair.
- 34:50And I think it's also why we see artists have a song do well on
- 34:52TikTok and then we don't hear from them.
- 34:54And I feel for those people because you feel like you're
- 34:57losing your mind because you are watching the dream slip away
- 35:00because you're like, Oh my God, I'm sitting here wasting time
- 35:04like trying to survive, make money exist, make music, stay
- 35:08creative, do my thing. And nobody is like.
- 35:12And also when you're at an age or you're at like a, there's a
- 35:14newness of like, I'm doing music.
- 35:17It's normal. Right.
- 35:18You want someone to at like a label or something to be like,
- 35:22let me help you out. Like let me like we're going to
- 35:24do this together. And instead they just spit shit
- 35:27at you that you don't understand.
- 35:29You don't like your contract is negotiated by their lawyers
- 35:32because you can't afford your own lawyer.
- 35:33And then you're stuck in something and you're fucked.
- 35:35And then you feel this commitment to the time and the
- 35:37energy and like the producer that worked on your EP, that
- 35:41like the EP is never going to come out and like all this shit
- 35:43and it's all a lot. Yeah, especially like thinking
- 35:46about, like you put in all this like you, you're a creative,
- 35:50you're an artist. You're not thinking about the
- 35:51business side of it. You want people that you could
- 35:53trust. You are going to be able to
- 35:54handle it, have your music be heard and seen.
- 35:55And then it's just like, they're not the ones who are going to be
- 35:58able to get it. Yeah.
- 35:59They're not going to be the the ones who are going to be able to
- 36:01push your music the way that you would want it to be.
- 36:02And like, obviously you said like, you got shelled.
- 36:04Yes. That's crazy.
- 36:06And you know what? Kim Petrus, I think she's with
- 36:08Republic. She had the same issue, right?
- 36:09Like she's been shelled. Why?
- 36:11Like literally why? Like she literally.
- 36:13Tweeted like she was like please drop me.
- 36:15Yes. And then you're like stuck and
- 36:17I'm like, just put the fucking music out.
- 36:19Like if you don't, I don't know. Like I don't know if they don't
- 36:21want to spend the money to promote the artist, just let
- 36:23like the artist doesn't care. Just let them put it out.
- 36:26Like, you know, I think it's the label would get embarrassed if
- 36:28like the artist does well after leaving the label.
- 36:30So it's like they'd rather just shelve them and hopefully
- 36:32destroy their career. And then like then they this is
- 36:35like my this is my conspiracy theory.
- 36:36It is It's so evil. Would you ever sign a label over
- 36:39again? Well, I'm signed with one right
- 36:41now, but it's like yes, AWOL and it's like distribution more
- 36:44label. So it's not like we're putting
- 36:46you in a 360 deal. And so that like, I got
- 36:48approached by other majors after I was dropped from Republic and
- 36:53I was like, Oh my God, like, and it's so tempting because I'm
- 36:57like, what the fuck? Yeah, like what am I doing?
- 36:59Yeah, like, oh, I'm on a Zoom call with Capitol Records right
- 37:01now and like me at 7 years old would be like, that's so crazy,
- 37:05Sasha, take it. It's like right in front of you.
- 37:07And I'm like, Oh my God. I went through the thing with
- 37:09Republic to learn for this moment that that's not what I
- 37:12need to. That's I cannot because I'm like
- 37:15looking at, I'm like, I cannot do this again.
- 37:17I cannot give another three years.
- 37:19And maybe it would have been great and maybe I could assign
- 37:20to like a major and it would have been cool.
- 37:22But I was like, I think that I would have if it OK if it
- 37:26didn't, if I signed to a major and it didn't work out, I'd be
- 37:28the biggest fucking idiot in America.
- 37:31And I couldn't, I couldn't do that to myself.
- 37:33I would regret it forever. And I'd be like, why did I do
- 37:35that? I learned my lesson.
- 37:36I was taught the lesson the Republic and I didn't learn
- 37:38shit. And I just signed with another
- 37:39major SO. And then imagine, God forbid.
- 37:42Then I couldn't even complain about it either because I'd be
- 37:45like, this sucks and I would be like.
- 37:46And now you can openly complain about.
- 37:48It yes, I like being able to openly complain.
- 37:50She was so best. It was so me calling my mom for
- 37:52so long and her being like why are they doing this and totally.
- 37:55I don't know, wait they like non disparagement you or anything?
- 37:58What does that? Mean like you can't shit talk
- 38:00them I. Don't think so.
- 38:01OK, hopefully. I've done it and there's
- 38:03nothing. So like, whatever.
- 38:05OK, I mean, I think compatriots has done work, yes to be honest
- 38:08and still signs up. No, and I'm not saying any
- 38:10specific names. So I'm like whatever like and
- 38:13they honestly great label. I think the people I was placed
- 38:16with, to work with or not, so I had really great experiences
- 38:19with higher up people at that label who were like, really
- 38:22sweet, but not so much. I think the people placed with
- 38:25me were like, who the fuck is this kid?
- 38:27And that's what disarmed me. Yeah, let me get him the fuck
- 38:30out of here. Like like very much point blank
- 38:33saying to me like, you know, everyone on The Voice, just like
- 38:35they flop. So like, what do they what do
- 38:36you want me to do with it to your face?
- 38:38To my face. What do you say?
- 38:39I was like oh haha OK I gotta be.
- 38:42Something about that, I'd be like, no, honey, Oh my God.
- 38:45And he's like, why do you think they all flop?
- 38:47Because And I'm like, Oh my God, this is the guy that deals with
- 38:49all the people who win The Voice.
- 38:51Oh my gosh, like they're setting you up to fail?
- 38:53Yes, they are the. Expectation is already there
- 38:55like. Crazy.
- 38:56The contract sucks. The contract is like laughable.
- 38:58It's like, Oh my God, we own your soul forever and we hate
- 39:02you and you get no money. Wait.
- 39:04Was it not like, was it something that you could like,
- 39:06say no to, or like you just had to?
- 39:08Sign it to be on the show, and then you've already signed it
- 39:11and it's been negotiated by NBC lawyers, and then you're like,
- 39:14OK. Well, do you ever think like,
- 39:16when you think about like, as like a little girl, do you think
- 39:18like, I want to sign a record label dream come true?
- 39:20Yes, Signing to Republic. Were you thinking in the moment
- 39:22before you experience all that? Were you like yay?
- 39:24I was like, I fucking made it. I made it bitch and like this
- 39:29and I did it and like I achieved the dream.
- 39:32Yeah, and it's all going to go. Smoothailing.
- 39:33I was like, I'm going to be rich and famous in like 2 years and
- 39:36everyone's going to hear my music and I'm going to be like
- 39:39because I had like these like little babies dreams that were
- 39:41so like. And you'd be the next Shawn
- 39:43Mendes. Yes, like all of these little
- 39:45things. And like, and then you realize,
- 39:47like, because you have no, yeah, there's no exposure to what it's
- 39:50actually like until you're in it and you're like, wait a minute.
- 39:52And then your dreams change and you're like, I don't know, like,
- 39:55I don't really want that. Like I don't want to be like
- 39:57boxed in and controlled and have someone be in control of my
- 40:01music. What do you want now then?
- 40:03I want I decided this weekend that I eventually want to live
- 40:06on a micro farm as. You mentioned that.
- 40:08That becomes like that is down the road.
- 40:11Like when I retire, I want to live.
- 40:12I know that that part of my life I want to live on micro farm.
- 40:14Later on I want to write authentic music, authentic to
- 40:20myself. You're already doing that.
- 40:21Yeah, and I wanted people to hear it.
- 40:23I want to tour. I want to play live more.
- 40:26I want to be able to like, live off of my music purely and feel
- 40:30like I can like, live freely and comfortably off of my music.
- 40:33Oh my God, yes. And like.
- 40:34That is the just the dream and I feel like that's a lot of
- 40:37people's dreams. And it's like simple, like I
- 40:39think when I was a kid, I was like, I want to like it's very
- 40:41classic. I want to be like a star and.
- 40:43You want to be Taylor Swift. Yeah, I want to be Taylor Swift.
- 40:45And I'm like, I don't really want to be.
- 40:48Like, I don't want to be. That seems overwhelming.
- 40:51And I want to just make things that feel authentic to me.
- 40:55And I want to have control over what I'm making.
- 40:57I want to experience joy and what I'm making and I want to
- 41:00love what I do and I want to live comfortably off of that.
- 41:02And then one day on a micro farm.
- 41:04OK, you're going to do all that. Yeah, right.
- 41:06And I'm like. We'll do you do that over the
- 41:07door. Yes, exactly.
- 41:09Yep. OK, so did you job?
- 41:11Did you produce Jawbreaker yourself?
- 41:12Yeah, everything. You did.
- 41:14It's really good. Thank you.
- 41:15I didn't know what I was doing, really.
- 41:17Like I was. It's so well done.
- 41:18Thank you. Like I I was just figuring out
- 41:22as I went because I didn't have any like money to record it
- 41:24totes and so because the recording's expensive.
- 41:26Oh my God, it's so expensive. Because I was like, I just want
- 41:28and he was like, like I could try and fund this right now and
- 41:31try and get this done, but I was like, I just want music out.
- 41:33And I kind of am curious to see if I could just do it.
- 41:36And obviously no budget, no budget $0.00.
- 41:39I didn't even buy new equipment. Like my mic had been out in a
- 41:43garage and it had like bird poop on it.
- 41:44I'd like wash it off. My mic cable didn't work.
- 41:47My mic stand didn't have a base so it was shoved into a laundry
- 41:50basket. I went in my girlfriend's closet
- 41:52and I put her like duvet on the wall of the closet to soundproof
- 41:55it. And then I just did all the
- 41:56instrumentation. Like I had her closet look
- 41:58crazy. Like I had like a banjo, a
- 41:59violin, harmonicas, guitars. We're like DIY as fuck.
- 42:03Yeah, and I was. I had because I was like, I miss
- 42:05the joy of just fucking making music.
- 42:07Totally. And you almost lost that with
- 42:09that experience. Yeah.
- 42:10And that brought it back because I was like, wait a minute, this
- 42:12is fun and I can do this and I don't have to care about it
- 42:14being perfect or being like any like I don't have to care about
- 42:18it even being marketable. Like, I can just do this shit
- 42:20myself and I can just post it and I can have music out for the
- 42:22first time ever. And.
- 42:25Just do it. So yeah, it was a gift.
- 42:27And I still like, I love that little EP.
- 42:29Yeah, it came out cute and I was like, it was really good.
- 42:32Like I got it. It sounds good.
- 42:33Like whatever. So now you're working with a
- 42:35bigger scope of like people. Do you have like producers
- 42:37you're working with now? Yes, yeah, my producer now is
- 42:41actually the same producer that did my EP when I was with
- 42:45Republic. I got so curious about that.
- 42:48That's so cool because we stayed in touch and he's a.
- 42:50Really. Yeah, I felt he's like immediate
- 42:53comfort dude. Like I literally tell him he has
- 42:56lesbian energy and it's. Like the best energy.
- 42:58Like it's just warm and cozy. Yeah, super.
- 43:01Super like we communicate well, we can just like RIP shit, get
- 43:05it done. There's no weird.
- 43:06Like I also don't like I struggle with like, I don't
- 43:09know, like sometimes male producer energy is really like,
- 43:12you know, like straight guy producer energy where they're
- 43:14super just like. I only work with gay.
- 43:16People yes like that's my vibe like and I love working with gay
- 43:19people I. Only work gay people.
- 43:20And so like my producer Jeremy is just like he has such a
- 43:23lesbian vibe and totally even his girlfriend be like he's such
- 43:26a lesbian and I just love it. And he just makes it easier.
- 43:30And he went through that whole thing with me with Republic and
- 43:33was also like, what the fuck? So it made it like it makes it
- 43:37easier wave rapport. That's awesome.
- 43:38Yeah, he produced. What it feels like, Yeah.
- 43:40Oh my. God, let's talk about what it
- 43:41feels like. Yeah.
- 43:42Wait, is this about your girlfriend, Adore?
- 43:43Yes. Oh my God.
- 43:45Tell us about the song. OK, I wrote it when she was she
- 43:49was filming a movie in South Africa last year and I wrote it
- 43:53out like 2 AMI wrote it while I was recording my EP like in the
- 43:58middle of it. And so, yes, Jawbreaker, Well.
- 44:01It was not meant for a jawbreaker though.
- 44:03No, it was just like, I just started writing.
- 44:05It's like a music. Yes, totes, totes.
- 44:07So I was just feeling it and I started writing it and it really
- 44:11was one of those songs that just flowed.
- 44:13And I kind of was a leaning. I was weirdly like right before
- 44:17I wrote, I was watching this like poetry dude on TikTok.
- 44:19And then I think I felt weirdly inspired by poetry.
- 44:22And then I felt like I had to write a song.
- 44:23And then it was very the feeling of like, how do I describe this?
- 44:27And like. So beautiful.
- 44:28Thank you so much, Oh my God. Thank you.
- 44:30Wait how did you 2 meet? We met.
- 44:33I hit her up on Instagram like thirsty, like Instagram.
- 44:37Oh, we got toes. Classic.
- 44:39Yeah, very classic. Like very like sweating emoji
- 44:41and stuff. And and then I was in
- 44:44Connecticut and I was damning her and I was like acting all
- 44:46big baller. And I was like, oh, I'm gonna
- 44:47like take like when I'm back. Like let's like go.
- 44:50Wait a minute. And like, yeah, I was super
- 44:53swaggy and like, but I was really nervous and I was like
- 44:55literally telling my friend I'm like, I don't even know if I'll
- 44:57be able to go through with it because like, she's so pretty
- 44:59and like, I don't know if I can. Handle it.
- 45:00And but one day I just hit her up really randomly, and I was
- 45:04like, do you want to, like, go out tonight?
- 45:05And then I met her and it was like, yeah, like totally like
- 45:09sparkly. Like she has casted a fucking
- 45:11spell on me. I swear to God.
- 45:12Like I tell her that. Like I think she casted a spell
- 45:14or something. It's like second I saw her like
- 45:16so rap so done. Like I'm just obsessed with her.
- 45:20She's like incredible. She's like we like she's just
- 45:24like communicates like so beautifully and it's so normal
- 45:27and like chill and just my best friend and we just like hang on.
- 45:30Yeah, like nothing matters. Like I'm like, Oh my God, we
- 45:32don't even like we don't even bicker.
- 45:34We don't even argue how long. Have you been together?
- 45:37Man, we're going on like a year and four months.
- 45:39Oh my God are we all doing Fortnite after this?
- 45:41Yes, Oh my God, we're always doing Fortnite.
- 45:43Oh my God, Fortnite. And she's so good at Fortnite
- 45:45now. She plays a lot of Fortnite.
- 45:46And you're super good at the battle Royale.
- 45:48Yes, 10:00 that OK. I was like, I feel like you said
- 45:50something about that. That was good.
- 45:52OK, cool. I was like, I feel like I'm
- 45:54about to fucking bomb this. OK, wait, that's so awesome.
- 45:57OK, that's super cool. And then also, oh, we should get
- 45:59you a skin. I want to fucking Fortnite skin
- 46:01so bad. OK, who do we talk to about?
- 46:03I don't know because even like Chapel Roan, like she talked
- 46:06about it for like a minute before they gave her a skin.
- 46:09Really, we're going to start right now.
- 46:10OK, Fortnite. Fortnite I want to skin.
- 46:12I really want to skin Fortnite. I know that you might think I'm
- 46:15like little small potatoes and I maybe don't deserve a skin, but
- 46:18I'm let me tell you the statistics.
- 46:20OK, guys, OK, give it. I have been, Oh my God, I'm like
- 46:22leaning on, I'm like. The other day I did.
- 46:24The statistics I looked on my Xbox and the hours I played
- 46:26Fortnite. It might not seem like a lot,
- 46:28but really think about this. For an entire 1% of my life I
- 46:32have been playing Fortnite. So if you split my life into 100
- 46:36parts based on hours that I played the game for one 100th I
- 46:39have been playing Fortnite and I feel like that says something.
- 46:41I'm sitting playing Fortnite. I've been playing it since I was
- 46:4416. Dedicated.
- 46:45Baby 100% I'm going a decade. Of Fortnite basically.
- 46:48OK, honestly, we're going to get you a skin.
- 46:50Would you be salty if Other Voice Sasha Allen got a skin
- 46:54before you? I would literally have to file
- 46:57some sort of lawsuit. I mean, really.
- 46:59Actually, it'd be kind of iconic.
- 47:01I'd have to get it. How camp would that?
- 47:04Be. How fucking camp would that be?
- 47:06Fortnite skin and I'd be like this is this is like she'd be,
- 47:09I'd be like, she's out to get me.
- 47:11Like she is a literally legend to get me.
- 47:14The universe is just like, really just like taking you in
- 47:16every direction, people. Believe there's another Sasha
- 47:18out like that's crazy and shout to her she really is dope yeah
- 47:20she up short of The Rolling Stones love her she's great have
- 47:23you met her? No.
- 47:24Have you interacted at all? Followed her on Instagram, like
- 47:27when I was like 12 because my mom was like, there's someone on
- 47:30The Voice named Sasha Allen. And I was like, that's so cool.
- 47:32That's me. And so I followed her.
- 47:34Yeah. And I still follow her.
- 47:35Does she follow you? No.
- 47:36Do you think she knows you exist?
- 47:38I think. She knows I exist.
- 47:39Oh my God, do you think she's like competitive I.
- 47:41Kind of think she might have unfollowed me.
- 47:42No way. I don't know because I'm like.
- 47:44She's a huge Ariana stand. She saw the allegations.
- 47:47Everyone's just an Ariana stand who saw the allegations.
- 47:49But like, yeah, I think she has to be.
- 47:52Oh, she's definitely aware of me.
- 47:53We come up on Google, right? You do?
- 47:56Yeah. And our.
- 47:56Shit mixes together and so I'm like she has to also not like
- 47:59this so maybe her and I need to figure it out.
- 48:01Totally. Sit down.
- 48:02You're going to get home. You're gonna get ready for
- 48:04Fortnite. You're gonna cease and desist.
- 48:06Oh, my gosh. Yeah.
- 48:07I mean, wait, is she? Active.
- 48:09Yeah. Sasha Allen.
- 48:10Yeah. Hell yeah out there.
- 48:12Yeah. Really.
- 48:13And we just share a name. And thank God we're very
- 48:16different in musically, physically, literally a man and
- 48:20a woman. So like. 100%.
- 48:22Good that he's next. Week's guest for the show.
- 48:24Yeah. Oh great.
- 48:25Yeah, the SEO is going to be a nightmare for all of us.
- 48:28OK, cool. No view for Sasha Allen.
- 48:31That's crazy though. What are the odds?
- 48:32Wait, have you ever thought about changing your stage name
- 48:34because of that? I've thought about it and then I
- 48:36was like, everything I do just feels like really lame because I
- 48:39feel like I'm not a stage name guy.
- 48:41Really. Just be like what?
- 48:42Options did you have? Oh my God, I, I forget, but I
- 48:45there were some. I can't even think of them, but
- 48:47I was like S Allen to S Allen Salen.
- 48:50Or you'd be sweeter Sasha, sweeter Sasha.
- 48:53Sweet Sasha, sweetie. Oh cute, I like that.
- 48:57Because Allen also like, I was also like never really like, I
- 49:00was never like a fan of like I tried to come up with some sort
- 49:03of stage name. And then I think when I was on
- 49:05The Voice, I was like, I was on there with my dad anyway.
- 49:07And so I'm like, it's obviously like going to be my name.
- 49:10And then it felt like that was my name was.
- 49:11Oh my God, I was going to start a new rumor for you just to
- 49:14like, you know, clear out the other rumors.
- 49:16I was going to say you're a Neppo baby and Lily Allen was
- 49:18your mother. But I just realized the surname
- 49:20doesn't work like that. But should we just go with that?
- 49:22Rumor. Let's just go with that.
- 49:23That works. So how's the nepotism being Lily
- 49:26Allen? So good.
- 49:27Oh my bad. I'm rising to the top you.
- 49:30Are Oh my gosh. And you had a feature on West
- 49:33Side Girl? Yes, yeah, yeah, I got that.
- 49:35That's super cool. I love nepotism personally so
- 49:38I'm jealous. I was like, I felt like I was
- 49:40semi Ariana's nepo baby on The Voice anyway.
- 49:42So really it was favoured. Like definitely the rest.
- 49:45Of the team like hated you. No, I think we 'cause we all got
- 49:48such special treatments, like all of us, All of us.
- 49:50But we I was just the last one standing.
- 49:52Totally different then none of them got Ariana hate page
- 49:54allegations. None of them.
- 49:56That's crazy. They really came for.
- 49:57You I was they came for me, but I was loud do.
- 49:59You think it's twink phobia? Yes, I think it is twink phobia,
- 50:02'cause they're like who the get him out of here and I'm like,
- 50:05you know, they're like. I should be Ariana's twink.
- 50:07Yes, the exactly. And honestly, I can't, like, I
- 50:10can't blame them because like totally, of course you're going
- 50:13to think that. And like, I was very Twinkie and
- 50:16I was very like, I was on the socials and I was like, yeah,
- 50:20I'm not going to act like I never stirred anything up.
- 50:22You know what I stir. Things up a little bit, OK,
- 50:24Cluck. I was definitely like, I knew
- 50:26the power of Stan Twitter. Like I'm not an idiot.
- 50:28Like I used to love One Direction.
- 50:30Like I was out there, you know what I mean?
- 50:31Who's your favorite one? One Direction.
- 50:33Yeah, Harold's hairy girl. Heavy.
- 50:34Oh, Harold. Yep.
- 50:36Oh, yeah, not to be like, like very like basic and like
- 50:38typical. I was major hair, like really,
- 50:40really, really, really intense for many years.
- 50:44And, you know, like still love them.
- 50:45But I I do know the power of like Stan Twitter.
- 50:48Yeah, Stan everything. And I was like, why are we
- 50:50ignoring this? Like let's harness.
- 50:52Yeah, let's leverage that. And like I want like I want to
- 50:55make the most out of this experience.
- 50:56Totally, because you have such a massive platform when you're on
- 50:58there. So I stirred stuff up and people
- 51:00didn't like me off the bat and like, if somebody didn't like me
- 51:02off the bat, I was going to be like, fuck you, loser, you know
- 51:04what I mean? Totally.
- 51:05And then I get a little track, but you know, almost 20.
- 51:08I'm like. You know, fuck it, it's fun.
- 51:11Yeah, whatever. Like you know exactly what
- 51:12you're doing. We actually just started a
- 51:14Twitter for me. Yeah, we have 4 followers.
- 51:20That's basically I'm trying to get back to some.
- 51:22Shit, right now I'm going to tweet a highlight from this and
- 51:24be like Sasha Allen actually did have an Ariana Grande hate page.
- 51:28You just edit it. I know.
- 51:30We just. We just fucking dumped that
- 51:31shit. We'll Photoshop something.
- 51:33Yeah. We'll be like omits to it.
- 51:35On to Lulu. Orion.
- 51:36Lou, wait, OK, everyone. We'll we'll we'll discuss after.
- 51:41OK, OK, so that's so that's so good.
- 51:44Let's get back to your song. So this is the first song coming
- 51:46off of like an upcoming project release.
- 51:47More singles, more music coming out.
- 51:49Yes, definitely like got I have. I have stuff coming very soon.
- 51:54Really, yes, very soon, like definitely sooner rather than
- 51:58later and stuff that's done and then I'm very excited to share.
- 52:01Now that you have a budget, do you have a budget now?
- 52:02Yes. OK, so now you're like really
- 52:04going in. Yes, now I can like do stuff.
- 52:06And I feel like because now with my new label, I feel like I
- 52:08actually, they actually immediately gave me a team and I
- 52:11was like, oh, like, that's what? How new?
- 52:14Yes. Like they were like, here's your
- 52:15marketing person. And I was like, oh.
- 52:17Oh my gosh, how cool is that? That is super nice and you
- 52:19probably didn't have expectations, right?
- 52:21Yeah, I was like, I have no idea.
- 52:22Like I was like, this could be a total shit show, but I'm just
- 52:25going to sign. And because it seems like people
- 52:27are nice and they're really like they're sweet.
- 52:28They're that's. Honestly the best feeling, like
- 52:30you want to work with people who are nice too, yeah.
- 52:31They let me do what I wanted to in terms like a music, Like they
- 52:34didn't have notes. They just wanted me to do what I
- 52:36wanted to do. Yeah.
- 52:38And I'm like, that's what I wanted, especially coming out of
- 52:40something that was so not that at all.
- 52:42Totally. Yeah.
- 52:43Wait, I noticed your tattoos aren't like the same static.
- 52:45Was that purposeful? Yeah, you got all by the same
- 52:48artist. Yes, I do have a new one.
- 52:49Oh my. Gosh, yeah, brand new.
- 52:50One of my best best friends, Gabby is a tattoo artist and
- 52:54does all of my tattoos. Yeah, let us know like.
- 52:56Thank you. Yeah.
- 52:57It makes it like very thankful to just know my tattoo artist
- 53:00and be friends with them because like I want cohesive and like
- 53:04for everything to look like it's all and your music.
- 53:06Very cohesive. Yeah.
- 53:07Thank you. Yeah, Like we said, you love a
- 53:09harmonica. I love a harmonica.
- 53:11You do. We can play the harmonica.
- 53:12Yes, that's you playing it. Yes, I play everything on it.
- 53:15I play I play Viola Banjo 12 string.
- 53:18Regular. How do you know how to deal
- 53:19that? Just my dad's a really good
- 53:22musician. I grew up with a lot of music,
- 53:24and I'm good at figuring stuff out.
- 53:26You could probably, yeah, play harmonica.
- 53:28OK. You just need to pick up the
- 53:30harmonica because they're in the keys of the songs and it's
- 53:33basically a little piano for your mouth where you breathe in
- 53:35and out and it's a different note and you climb the stairs.
- 53:37I don't know what a key is, if I'm being honest.
- 53:39My producer just told me this weekend that I'd never sing on
- 53:41key. I was, I was like, I'm about to
- 53:43ask Chachi BT what a key is and he's probably completely right,
- 53:47like. Honestly, you're probably
- 53:48singing key. I probably.
- 53:50You need to try harmonic. OK, I think that's how I'll
- 53:52learn. I'm going to pick up a
- 53:54harmonica. Everybody should try harmonica
- 53:56because it's more, you know what, get AG harmonica, get a
- 53:59playlist going that's just songs in the key of G and just try it
- 54:02and you'll be like, wait a minute, like why am I playing
- 54:05the harmonica right now? Oh my God, Sasha, a song is
- 54:07going to come up on a playlist and you're going to be listening
- 54:09and it's going to be me and you're going to hear harmonica.
- 54:14I'm a I'll. I'll credit you.
- 54:17Credit me. I'll credit you.
- 54:18Yeah, actually, I'll have you play it.
- 54:20Yeah. We'll work for hire you.
- 54:21Want it? Do it.
- 54:22OK, perf. Love, love, love.
- 54:23Yeah, I love. Our Monica moment.
- 54:25I love it. Yeah, I mean, like I said, like
- 54:27I think the music's so pretty. Yeah, it's like very acoustic,
- 54:29but then like country leaning, you know what I mean?
- 54:32Obviously the lyric and storytelling.
- 54:33Oh, can we talk about 20 something?
- 54:34Yes, yeah. Yeah, I like that song a lot.
- 54:36Thank you. I love that song.
- 54:38That's like a little oldie. It is an oldie.
- 54:40I have a song I just did last week called 20 Something.
- 54:43Oh. My God.
- 54:44Yes, so. Literally.
- 54:46I know it's so different because Oh my God, I was getting ready
- 54:49for the show and I was listening to the EP and I was like, I
- 54:51texted my producer Miko and I was like, fuck, he has a song
- 54:54called 20 something too. And I was like, Oh my God.
- 54:56I was like, I'm so scared it's going to be similar.
- 54:58It's so different but. Then we have a similar sentiment
- 55:01because I have mine goes no one else who know nothing because
- 55:04we're all just 20 something and then yours goes.
- 55:06How do you mention? Yeah, yeah.
- 55:08Damn, that's crazy. And I.
- 55:09Was like oh fuck. And then he was like damn, is it
- 55:12like super similar? I was like it's not similar
- 55:14because mine's like super pop but same.
- 55:16Sentiment because that's like what else you going to say like
- 55:1820 something? That's the whole vibe.
- 55:20True. Before I moved to LA and then
- 55:22finished it in LA. Did you like I wrote it without
- 55:25the crazy outro part of me like listing a bunch of shit and then
- 55:28I wrote that part an hour before I played at the troubadour one
- 55:32night and I memorized it all and it was really it was good.
- 55:35I don't fit together and then I was like, wait, I like this song
- 55:37now. It like was one of those songs
- 55:39that took like a year or two. Breathe and then come back
- 55:43together. That's so interesting.
- 55:44You know what? Me too, because I wrote the
- 55:46first iteration of it in 2019, and then I wrote the second
- 55:49iterate when I was 2019. I was like 22.
- 55:51Yeah, I was 22. Wrote the first iteration of it,
- 55:53revisited it in 2021, revisit again in 2023, and locked in the
- 55:58final right now. Same vibe, yeah.
- 56:01Yeah, but. It's evolving it.
- 56:03It completely evolved. Like, I lose my 20s.
- 56:05Yeah, the way because I started at 22.
- 56:07I'm 29 now. Yeah, Like, literally like I
- 56:09lose my 20s. And then I was like, OK, now,
- 56:11now we're really cooking. What's something to write about?
- 56:13So. Just got 1 cook, someone starts
- 56:15to sit. Interesting.
- 56:16Yeah, that's so true. Yeah.
- 56:17That was a really long one, to be honest.
- 56:18Like I'm coming back to it. But yeah, that's why when I was
- 56:21looking at her track list and I was like, wait a.
- 56:22Minute I was like, oh, same song.
- 56:24Yeah, so I was like, no, I'm going to get an allegation
- 56:26because he's a guest on the show.
- 56:29Oh my gosh. OK, let's clear it up.
- 56:31I've had mine since 2019. OK, cool.
- 56:33So then what do you do? You want to talk about what the
- 56:35next song is going to be? I don't know what the next song
- 56:39is going to. Be Oh, that's right.
- 56:39You mentioned that before. You don't know.
- 56:41Do you have one? You don't.
- 56:42Know isn't. It cool to release music.
- 56:44I love releasing music. Yeah, it's cool.
- 56:46I'm so bad at like, like, I don't know, I'm bad with when it
- 56:50comes to like the music side of like, like money and like things
- 56:55and like releases and marketing. Like something in my brain shuts
- 56:59off and I'm trying to train myself to like be better at that
- 57:03because I think I just, I'm on like the art vibe of it.
- 57:05And then it's like hard to, I get so ingrained in it
- 57:08creatively and then I'm like, wait a minute, this is an actual
- 57:11thing now that people listen to and react to and it determines
- 57:14what my life looks like. But it's really exciting and I
- 57:18don't know what is going to, I don't know what's going to be it
- 57:20for something soon though. So you do know something's
- 57:23coming? Because I have a lot of, I have
- 57:25a lot sitting and I is this still.
- 57:26Going to stay in the same vein as like what it feels like.
- 57:29Yes, but a little there's some mix UPS like I've been not mix
- 57:33UPS in a bad way. Like, yeah, like there's some,
- 57:36there's some little twist I'm trying, but like all kind of
- 57:38staying in the same, like, like it's still me.
- 57:43Yeah. There's some bangers though that
- 57:44are going to be coming out. Yeah.
- 57:46Some heavy, some electric guitar moments.
- 57:48Me too. Yeah, I love.
- 57:50Electric guitar moment. Me too.
- 57:52Oh my God, they're so good. It's so dreamy.
- 57:54Yeah, I'm excited, and I'm because my producer rocks too,
- 57:56and he just makes sweet choices that I would not know how to do
- 57:59myself ever. So what It Feels like was a very
- 58:02probably the most mellow song out of anything that I'm going
- 58:05to be it. Feels like very adjacent to like
- 58:06jaw breaker you. Know.
- 58:07Yeah, yeah, because it was very just like me with a microphone.
- 58:10Oh my gosh. So do you feel like going from
- 58:12making this EPU the same producer with Republic, then
- 58:15going and doing Jawbreaker all by yourself and then coming back
- 58:18to like a producer? Like what's that experience?
- 58:20Like Oh my God, it's like, it's honestly, I feel like I'm really
- 58:25thankful for like struggling through recording my own shit
- 58:28and I was supposed to experience that.
- 58:30So I can really appreciate, like, having something just,
- 58:33like sound objectively good and like, have someone that isn't,
- 58:38like, I don't know, like someone that just knows how to produce
- 58:41like a vocal track or like, just knows how to record it.
- 58:44Yeah. Or has like a microphone That's
- 58:46an actually good microphone. Yeah, no version.
- 58:48Yeah, new appreciation for equipment, how fast things can
- 58:51go, and also just being able to talk to like when you talk to a
- 58:53producer and you're like, what if we just made it sound like,
- 58:57and they're like, how about this?
- 58:58And then they do it and they're. Like I feel like that's such a
- 59:00good fucking feeling. So good.
- 59:01Yes, when they understand you, can you really be making noises?
- 59:04Yeah, and building with someone too, of like, I write the song
- 59:07in solitude and then I bring it and I have an idea for it, and
- 59:10then my producer will like give a note that changes the whole
- 59:13song and it comes out different than I thought it would.
- 59:15But I'm like collaboration. Has made it so cool too.
- 59:17Yeah, and I respect him so much as a musician.
- 59:19So it's like, it's nice. It was very nice not doing it in
- 59:22solitude. That was heavy because I draw
- 59:24myself fucking crazy. Do you feel like?
- 59:25Everything happens for a reason. Because obviously you've had
- 59:28such an experience, like everything that you've been
- 59:29through. Yeah, because like, even talking
- 59:31about this, you're like, I had to go through that.
- 59:33So now I could appreciate this. Yes, everything.
- 59:35I'm very like, everything that happens all the time is supposed
- 59:39to happen and there's no avoiding it.
- 59:42And that's literally just your life and the next step, like
- 59:46there's no wrong move you can make because whatever the next
- 59:48step is, it's what's supposed to happen.
- 59:50And I try and stay like grounded in that.
- 59:52And I learn a lot. Like you learn a lot.
- 59:53I learned so much. Like if I didn't go through this
- 59:55shit with the public, I could be signed to another label right
- 59:58now that's doing the same. Thing.
- 59:59Yeah, Capital. Yeah, like I got through it and
- 1:00:01I now I know. And so I'm like, OK, I learned a
- 1:00:03lot. I know.
- 1:00:04Yes. What do we learn from the Aria?
- 1:00:06I hate allegations. Oh my gosh, I learned that
- 1:00:09sometimes there's nothing you can fucking do about people
- 1:00:13saying shit about you because there's nothing you can do.
- 1:00:15Like sometimes there's nothing as much as you can say like that
- 1:00:18didn't happen. And what really matters is just
- 1:00:20like your personal relationships and your personal vibes.
- 1:00:23And sometimes turning off your phone, that's huge.
- 1:00:26Like just stop. Like turn off your phone you.
- 1:00:28Can like walk away from? It you can walk away.
- 1:00:30Like I realized when I was like I, when I realized on TikTok, I
- 1:00:33could just turn comments off and I didn't want to turn comments
- 1:00:35off long time ago, like when I was getting conservative hate
- 1:00:38and I was like, well, I can just turn the comments off.
- 1:00:40And then I was like, it's done. And it's not feeding into
- 1:00:43itself. And it's not like looping.
- 1:00:44It's just done. No one's come back to my page
- 1:00:46like everybody needs to turn off their phone and go the fuck
- 1:00:49outside 100% and everyone needs to touch a little grass and
- 1:00:53nothing actually matters. Yeah, you know, I had that.
- 1:00:56Experience where like I was getting like an influx of hate
- 1:00:58in like 2022. It sucks.
- 1:01:00Oh it's bad. But I had to walk my dogs.
- 1:01:02I put my phone in my apartment and walked my dog and I was like
- 1:01:05oh it all just. Stopped.
- 1:01:05Yes. You're like, wait a minute.
- 1:01:07Oh my God, I'm a human being. Yeah, I was like.
- 1:01:09Wait, none of that matters anymore 'cause my phone's not
- 1:01:11even with me. Like it's crazy and like even
- 1:01:13the fact like in that, like the fact like talking to Ariana and
- 1:01:16her being like that would literally be funny.
- 1:01:17Like I don't give a fuck that. 'D be funny.
- 1:01:19Did you shit yourself when Ariana like confronted you on
- 1:01:21that? Yes, 'cause I was like, Oh my
- 1:01:23God, I don't want her to think that, 'cause that just sucks.
- 1:01:25Like, yeah. And then it also made me on the
- 1:01:27vibe of like, holy shit. It's big enough that she saw it.
- 1:01:30But I also think, like people I don't know, celebrities see
- 1:01:32everything. Yeah, maybe she's more
- 1:01:33chronically online than she comes off fast, you know?
- 1:01:36And like, but we're also chronicling we need to get the
- 1:01:37fuck off. We do the Internet and just stop
- 1:01:40And like not read. I don't even read comments.
- 1:01:42Oh my God, would you be scared? If you like, you do this, you go
- 1:01:44play Fortnite. You're chilling.
- 1:01:45And then, like, in two weeks from now, you see like a viral
- 1:01:48tweet of a clip of this show. Oh.
- 1:01:50My God, I feel like fuck, I feel like it's happening again.
- 1:01:53Then they'd be like, you really had a Taylor Swift hate page.
- 1:01:55Oh my gosh. Hopefully not, no.
- 1:01:58No clearing up, no Taylor Swift hate.
- 1:01:59Page No Taylor Swift hate Page guys.
- 1:02:01Yeah, like nothing at all. You've been vocal.
- 1:02:03In public, it sounds so sauce. No, Taylor Swift.
- 1:02:05We didn't have one. We didn't have one.
- 1:02:06No, I love her. That's where we are now, though.
- 1:02:08We have to address that. Yeah, people are crazy people
- 1:02:11and I'm not really like, I don't really.
- 1:02:13Yeah, I was never also like Stan Taylor Swift vibe.
- 1:02:15I was just like I was horse girl Taylor Swift fan.
- 1:02:18I wasn't Stan Twitter. Taylor Swift, not Stan.
- 1:02:20Sword would just take off the day to like, yeah, just the
- 1:02:22album. Yes, very that.
- 1:02:24Okay, okay, okay, OK Speaking Out is a great album though.
- 1:02:27It's such a good album. Yeah, and Fearless is Rupert.
- 1:02:29Fearless. Is so good and I love debut.
- 1:02:31Yeah, I love it. When she started doing pop, how
- 1:02:34did you feel? I felt a little bit torn, but
- 1:02:37like there was enough of her in there that I was like, wait a
- 1:02:40minute, this is very. It's like story driven pop
- 1:02:42still. Yeah.
- 1:02:43Like, it was still in there. Like it wasn't it.
- 1:02:46It was not soulless and pop music fucking like rocks.
- 1:02:49But she did make the she turned like she switched especially
- 1:02:52like after red like that Red felt like the last moment where
- 1:02:57we still had, you know what I mean?
- 1:02:58And it's. Like Ed Sheeran, Red had so many
- 1:03:00elements of pop on it, Yeah. It was like she was sprinkling
- 1:03:03it. No, she knew.
- 1:03:04She knew. She knew what she wanted to do.
- 1:03:05She did. And then her other, like I love
- 1:03:07like lover. Like that's a fucking, I love
- 1:03:09that album. Like poets?
- 1:03:11Oh clock, Oh Stan Twitter. I'm so scared.
- 1:03:15No, it just wasn't my favorite like I liked.
- 1:03:18I didn't click with me as much and I think that's also just
- 1:03:20because my taste in music was changing too.
- 1:03:23Still listening to it and I still like appreciated it, but
- 1:03:25it did not fall like I love Midnights and I didn't even
- 1:03:28expect to love. Midnights or good?
- 1:03:30Yes. Like that's a good.
- 1:03:31Album and I honestly like, I think I like, I don't know, I
- 1:03:35fell off a little bit and that's, you know what, for the
- 1:03:38amount of time I've put in, taken off of school and done the
- 1:03:41thing right. I don't always love her at a
- 1:03:43calendar. For a night in Taylor Swift, the
- 1:03:45loyalty was. And I'm still I'm Speaking of
- 1:03:46Sasha. This is a good ass album.
- 1:03:48So wait, but you have to change it now.
- 1:03:50I don't know what sweeter Sasha sweetener Sasha that be crazy.
- 1:03:53Yes that be a moment. Ohh.
- 1:03:57Different Sasha Allen from The Voice.
- 1:03:58Is that too long? Was she on before?
- 1:04:01You Sasha, the other Sasha way before.
- 1:04:03Me. That'd be very funny.
- 1:04:04The other Sasha would be funny that.
- 1:04:05'D be super funny, OK, we'll actually have her come back
- 1:04:08we'll have you come back next week we'll have her on and you
- 1:04:10guys could do. Get out.
- 1:04:11Yeah. I just want to, yeah, we need to
- 1:04:13get get down to it. Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:04:15OK. I wouldn't mess with you.
- 1:04:17You've done with your campaigns. I wouldn't.
- 1:04:21I wouldn't play anything. OK Well we ask every guest on
- 1:04:24this show what they're most do Lulu take is what is the most
- 1:04:27delusional thing you believe think.
- 1:04:29Oh my God, let me think for a second.
- 1:04:31Could be mostly controversial. I believe the most delusional
- 1:04:34thing I believe. Hate pages should exist.
- 1:04:41Hate pages. Hate pages should exist.
- 1:04:46Hate pages are we? Need to be a little bit more
- 1:04:48careful about our identities when we have a hate page.
- 1:04:50I think, I think, I, I think billionaires suck and the earth,
- 1:04:55the earth is burning and everybody wants, most people
- 1:04:58want to live in peace and harmony and we fucking can't.
- 1:05:01And the world feels so loud and shitty and I think that all we
- 1:05:06can do is just continue to live and exist while all fucking
- 1:05:08burns down and fuck fuck all them.
- 1:05:10Totally. I don't think that's the Lulu at
- 1:05:12all. I know.
- 1:05:13I think that's like kind of. Valid.
- 1:05:14Yeah, me too. I think mine honestly
- 1:05:17piggybacking off of yours would be this is the best time to like
- 1:05:20really be creating. Because like, I think the world.
- 1:05:22Needs the art right now. Exactly.
- 1:05:24Like because I think living right now feels delulu totally
- 1:05:27because I hate everything. I'm always like Oh my God Gary
- 1:05:30Dare fucking country sucks so bad and I hate it to my core
- 1:05:33and. Everything.
- 1:05:33My core literally so bad. So bad, so ass.
- 1:05:37Like fuck this shit A. 100%. Weird capitalism bullshit, but.
- 1:05:40Yes, fuck all that. That's my delulu.
- 1:05:42Tape Not even delulu at all. They're actually very normal.
- 1:05:44Lulu. You're on the right show.
- 1:05:45Oh my God. Wait, how do you feel about Is
- 1:05:49this your first podcast? Yes, yeah.
- 1:05:51You feeling so far? I feel good.
- 1:05:52I like to yap. I kind of like yap you're.
- 1:05:54Very you're I like your laugh. I do yap UN like unrestricted.
- 1:05:59I talk a lot like I love like my best friend Maddie from
- 1:06:03Connecticut. We'll talk on the phone for like
- 1:06:044 fucking hours. Like yap yap yap yap.
- 1:06:07Yeah, I'll call my mom right after yap.
- 1:06:08Yap. Oh my gosh, really?
- 1:06:09You like the yappies? I love yappies and I'm I'm a bit
- 1:06:13uncensored at times. Oh.
- 1:06:14My God. But I like that.
- 1:06:15That makes for a good podcast. Yeah, that makes for a good
- 1:06:17podcast. I'm like, I'm like a good
- 1:06:19listener, I would say. You know, my producer over
- 1:06:21there, Brett, he calls me all the time and yaps for hours.
- 1:06:25And I literally just like, yeah. I'm not as good of a listener
- 1:06:28like I feel like I get ADHD and I like zone out but I do love to
- 1:06:31yap. Oh my God.
- 1:06:32OK Bron, don't call Sasha that. It wouldn't be a good yap
- 1:06:35experience it. Would be a good podcast host.
- 1:06:37You're very good podcast host. You think?
- 1:06:39I think you are. I think, you know, really you're
- 1:06:41good at the ping pong. And I would be sitting here
- 1:06:44like, what the fuck do I say right now?
- 1:06:45Oh my God, really? You're really good.
- 1:06:47Thank you. And you're very flowy.
- 1:06:49Oh my God. Seriously?
- 1:06:50Yeah, you're flowy. Thank you.
- 1:06:51Wait, what did? You like, know like for you
- 1:06:53being in a bad mood today. Earlier I was you.
- 1:06:55Really. You cranked it up and turned it.
- 1:06:57Off Oh my God, guys, literally before we like started
- 1:06:59recording, I was like, I told Sasha, I told him I was like,
- 1:07:02OK, I'm going to turn on because I was like, because literally
- 1:07:06when we were getting you from the parking lot, I was telling
- 1:07:08Charlie I was like, I'm in a really bad mood.
- 1:07:10Can you tell him he's like, no. And I was like, you can tell.
- 1:07:12It's like we all can tell. That fucking sucks having to
- 1:07:15host a podcast in a bad mood. I don't know you do that.
- 1:07:17Seriously. Honestly, you put me in a good
- 1:07:19mood. That's why when I was like, oh,
- 1:07:21we should take a picture. Mina was like, should we do it
- 1:07:23after? I was like, yes, you'll put me
- 1:07:24in a good mood. Now I feel recovered.
- 1:07:26I just don't wanna don't get don't give me my phone after
- 1:07:28this. Yeah, OK.
- 1:07:29Not a Dulu take, to be honest. Well, honestly, I feel like we
- 1:07:32talked a lot about like everything, and I feel like I
- 1:07:35learned a lot from you just from your experience.
- 1:07:37So we have some bestie submitted questions.
- 1:07:39This is www.adgd. What would a Dulu girl do?
- 1:07:42And we're gonna answer what we think our advice on their
- 1:07:45situations. Are Oh my God I wanna do that so
- 1:07:47bad do. You think you're good advice?
- 1:07:48Yes, I was literally just talking about this last night.
- 1:07:51I wanna be on one of those podcasts where they, like, do
- 1:07:53like the am I the asshole on like, Reddit?
- 1:07:55Wait a minute, I guess this is a RIP off of that.
- 1:07:57Oh my God. Wait, yeah.
- 1:07:59Oh my fucking God. I was just talking about this.
- 1:08:01We're going to do right now. Wait, how?
- 1:08:03Excited OK OK, OK wait Oh my God, you manifested that I'm
- 1:08:06like sweating I'm so excited I was just talking about this Oh
- 1:08:09my God Oh my God and it's. Going to be good too.
- 1:08:11These are juicy ones, OK? I'm so excited.
- 1:08:13First one is my situation. Ship is catching feelings but I
- 1:08:16don't want anything serious. What should I do?
- 1:08:18Oh. My God.
- 1:08:19Yeah. What do we do?
- 1:08:21Gas. Like them?
- 1:08:23Yeah, I be like, what are you talking about?
- 1:08:24We weren't even anything. Tell them to stop.
- 1:08:26Yeah, right. Like why?
- 1:08:27Why continue? I mean, why?
- 1:08:28I don't know the. Situation ship.
- 1:08:31If they well, what are they going to do?
- 1:08:32Like how far they going to? Take it like going to keep, are
- 1:08:35you going to keep? You need to have a conversation,
- 1:08:37right? You do.
- 1:08:38I mean, that's like the rational advice.
- 1:08:40I would cut it off because it gets uncomfortable.
- 1:08:42It gets uncomfortable. Unless you love to be like
- 1:08:44loved, It depends on if you want to be a Dick or not.
- 1:08:47I got that. If you really don't give a fuck
- 1:08:48about them because then if someone's lusting after you,
- 1:08:51like everyone loves that feeling of someone having like a crush
- 1:08:53like you know what I mean? Even if you're not interested,
- 1:08:55it makes it better. 1,000,000% but it depends on whether you
- 1:08:57want to be like a cunt or not. Right, OK, I agree.
- 1:09:02I feel like I would do the gaslight thing.
- 1:09:04I would just be like, I have no idea where you thought this was
- 1:09:08going. Like I don't know why that
- 1:09:10because like. But usually like I'm this person
- 1:09:12might be leading them on a little bit low key.
- 1:09:15High key, high key. It's always that.
- 1:09:17It is always that. Because that's the only thing
- 1:09:18that makes the situation ship fun.
- 1:09:20Is like a little bit of like, you know what I.
- 1:09:22Mean they give him poll, yes. Yeah.
- 1:09:24But then when one of them gets in too deep, then it gets real
- 1:09:26foxed. Yes, because someone starts to
- 1:09:28get lovey and it gets. Lovey And then then they start
- 1:09:31like really feeding into it. And it's like, Oh my God, da da,
- 1:09:33da, you know? Yeah, and it's more fun when
- 1:09:35someone's lovey too. It is.
- 1:09:37Everyone loves to be chased. Everyone loves to be chased.
- 1:09:40Everyone likes to feel desired. Yeah, that's toughy.
- 1:09:44I don't know. That's tough.
- 1:09:45Now that you gave me more contacts, now I feel like, I
- 1:09:48feel like I have sympathy for that.
- 1:09:50Yeah, You know what? If you want to be a good person,
- 1:09:52you got to have a conversation with them.
- 1:09:54Be like, are you OK, if we are you going to be good?
- 1:09:57Like, are you going to be good in the end?
- 1:09:58And if you want to be a shitty person, you keep reeling it for
- 1:10:02your own benefit of feeling good, OK?
- 1:10:04And it's just depends on whether you're good.
- 1:10:05Or bad. That's honestly very tea and
- 1:10:07very reflective. Yes, yes.
- 1:10:09OK we have another one. So I'm talking to this girl
- 1:10:13right now and I think she's really cool.
- 1:10:14We have a really fun, flirty kind of relationship with each
- 1:10:16other. It's very playful, not too
- 1:10:18serious. I suspect she's using me to get
- 1:10:20free video work but honestly I feel like I know better but I
- 1:10:24keep entertaining it. What should I do in this
- 1:10:26situation? I want to know what she's doing.
- 1:10:28I just feel like maybe she's just like touching arms a lot
- 1:10:30and she's like, Oh my God, you're so handsome.
- 1:10:32And but then it's just like, it's like she just like in a.
- 1:10:35Relationship. They're no.
- 1:10:37Definitely not. They're not in a relationship.
- 1:10:38No, that would never happen. But it's just like, it's like
- 1:10:41she's like playing into to it to try to manipulate, you know,
- 1:10:44yeah, what would we do? What should we do?
- 1:10:48I don't know. It's tough, right?
- 1:10:50Wait, I'm confused about this question.
- 1:10:51Yeah, yeah, yeah. Wait.
- 1:10:52Phrase it. Say it again.
- 1:10:53OK, Say it again. So basically I have this playful
- 1:10:56little flirty relationship with this person or whatever.
- 1:10:58It's nothing too serious, but I suspect she's just using me to
- 1:11:01get free video work and editing work out of me.
- 1:11:03So like, what do I do about that?
- 1:11:05Like I know better, but like, I still entertain it, you know?
- 1:11:09What do you think? I don't know, I guess like.
- 1:11:13I'll just be like, if you know better, then like, why keep
- 1:11:15entertaining? It Why entertain it?
- 1:11:17Why? Entertain it.
- 1:11:18Why? Literally why?
- 1:11:20Like literally why don't entertain it?
- 1:11:21Maybe like you're lonely. That is lonely.
- 1:11:24Everyone loves to be loved. Everyone loves to be.
- 1:11:26That's sad and everyone's so lone.
- 1:11:28I know. It's sad, I know.
- 1:11:31That's sad. Everybody just, I mean, you got
- 1:11:33to either like, yeah, sign up to be if you want to be used like
- 1:11:36it's OK. I say that all the time.
- 1:11:38Yeah, like you can be used for shit.
- 1:11:40Yeah, You know what, if that's like what you're down for,
- 1:11:42Totally. However you want to get like
- 1:11:44your love and affection like whatever feels good.
- 1:11:46What did you want? Like genuinely like, you
- 1:11:48wouldn't want someone who genuinely like, cares about you.
- 1:11:50Like actually is like attracted to you.
- 1:11:52Like whatever, you know, Like, why play into the fantasy?
- 1:11:54Yeah, like, yeah, it's delulu, but the same time it's just
- 1:11:56like, like what? Yeah, no, stand up.
- 1:12:00No, it's fantasy's not fun, right?
- 1:12:02Well, Cam, I don't know. It's on the long run.
- 1:12:05Yeah. Not when you feel like a loser
- 1:12:06after. 100%. And it makes you feel like an
- 1:12:09unlovable loser. Then it's not a fun fantasy.
- 1:12:11And you're gonna end up feeling like an unlovable loser.
- 1:12:13Waste of money going to Miami. It's just like all of it.
- 1:12:16Yeah, no, yeah. And don't waste your money on
- 1:12:17someone. It's like or in your time or
- 1:12:20your. Time or your vibe or your like
- 1:12:22anything emotional and don't waste your emotional energy.
- 1:12:241,000,000% off Yes exactly. And then honestly dinners get
- 1:12:28really expensive. Yes. 100% dinner's expensive.
- 1:12:32Dinner's SO. Dinner's a luxury.
- 1:12:34A luxury. Luxury.
- 1:12:35Yes, completely. OK, I think that's good advice.
- 1:12:37OK, here's our final one. So my boyfriend is still really
- 1:12:40close with his ex. Should I be concerned?
- 1:12:42Yes Oh my God yeah that's fucking weird.
- 1:12:44Super weird. Like unless the only reason it
- 1:12:47if OK if his ex was like a girl and then the girl after their
- 1:12:52breakup came out as a lesbian and now has a wife and they have
- 1:12:54like a farm together and now the husband is friends with like the
- 1:12:56lesbian and she's like a Butch lesbian.
- 1:12:58Like that's one thing. But it seems like this is
- 1:13:00probably a situation where the boyfriend just a fucking weirdo.
- 1:13:03Wait, I couldn't. Follow that I was like.
- 1:13:06Like like like say like the boyfriends If the boyfriends ex
- 1:13:10is not boyfriends a lesbian or something like break up it's
- 1:13:13yours down the line yours online his ex girlfriends now a
- 1:13:15lesbian. She's married to a woman.
- 1:13:17She's a Butch. They live on a farm and the
- 1:13:18husbands like this is my ex-girlfriend like she's not
- 1:13:20like your. Dream line.
- 1:13:22I do much lesbian like like say like OK, like say I dated.
- 1:13:26I got like there are crazy circumstances where it could be
- 1:13:28normal. Like if I as a female dated a
- 1:13:31guy and then I'm tech please X and now I transition to a male
- 1:13:34him and I could be like Oh my God that's so funny.
- 1:13:36Like where ex is whatever, but this obviously is definitely a
- 1:13:39situation where like 99% of the time it's like that, that
- 1:13:42something's weird and SUS. Yeah, and how would?
- 1:13:44He how would he feel if like you know what I.
- 1:13:46Mean 100%. I completely agree.
- 1:13:49I think the only situation that would make sense here is this
- 1:13:52exact specific situation you you detail.
- 1:13:54Yes. So if it's like a Butch woman on
- 1:13:57a farm with a wife and like pigs and stuff, like 100% exactly
- 1:14:01like you're crazy. They're so cool to be friends.
- 1:14:03Like stop getting in the way of his life.
- 1:14:04But like 99% of the other scenarios that aren't.
- 1:14:09That only. Only the farm Butch lesbians.
- 1:14:10Yeah, I would. Hate someone being close to
- 1:14:12their ex. Yeah.
- 1:14:13And like, why are you close to them?
- 1:14:14Yeah, totally. Like.
- 1:14:16It's weird and also a very weird information.
- 1:14:18I want like, I really want like a deep.
- 1:14:20We need to like just gossip with these people.
- 1:14:22That's what I want. I want like a full zoom call
- 1:14:24where it can be like tell me the details.
- 1:14:26The zoom call What's? His relationship with his mother
- 1:14:28like give what are his friends like and.
- 1:14:30Oh my God, we're gonna deep dive it.
- 1:14:32Yes. OK.
- 1:14:33So that's shitty, but yeah, no, 99.9% of the time.
- 1:14:35Fuck that. Yeah.
- 1:14:36Fuck that, fuck that. OK completely agree but honestly
- 1:14:39for more context it is the Butch lesbian on the farm situation.
- 1:14:42So we're good then? Yes, no, then it's good
- 1:14:44completely. This person shouldn't even run
- 1:14:46in. Like, they're crazy.
- 1:14:47Completely. I agree.
- 1:14:49I mean, you're gonna have to compete with them for the farm.
- 1:14:50Yeah. You know, you and your family.
- 1:14:53You. Just at that point, take
- 1:14:54advantage of knowing Butch lesbians live on a farm because
- 1:14:56that's. Like, yeah, that's the coolest
- 1:14:58thing. Ever fucking dream.
- 1:14:59That is the coolest thing ever. And they're out there.
- 1:15:01Oh, period. OK, we'll be neighbors.
- 1:15:04Let's all do that. That is the dream life.
- 1:15:07OK, well, we already talked about this, but we close out
- 1:15:10every show by manifesting together.
- 1:15:12Obviously you want to have your farm and run away, but is there
- 1:15:17anything else you want to speak into existence here?
- 1:15:19On to Lulu. We notoriously make dreams come
- 1:15:21true. Like Oprah.
- 1:15:22Oh. My God, I want to speak into
- 1:15:24existence my own personal peace and joy daily and peace and joy
- 1:15:31for the planet. And for?
- 1:15:34People to have love for each other.
- 1:15:35That's beautiful. And for like, I don't know,
- 1:15:39yeah, everything good. And for wars to stop and for
- 1:15:42people to keep creating. I'm like, can I just tell you,
- 1:15:45yeah, because you said that like I'm so proud of you going from
- 1:15:48having an Ariana Grande hate page to manifesting World Peace
- 1:15:53and love that. You've grown my page.
- 1:15:55That page taught me a lot is it was a huge it was a big hate
- 1:15:58account and it had a lot of. Followers.
- 1:15:59It had a lot of followers and you dedicated so much of her
- 1:16:02life to. It yeah, it was the Ariana Hater
- 1:16:03King. Yeah, they called me that.
- 1:16:05They did call you that, so that was your username.
- 1:16:07It grows you a lot. I bet you, I mean statistically
- 1:16:10you spent 2% of your life running that page.
- 1:16:13Two percent, 5%. I was dedicated since I was a
- 1:16:16kid. That's a little good.
- 1:16:17Yeah, yes, Oh my gosh. I mean, doing that and being an
- 1:16:20undercover with you at the same time, it takes a.
- 1:16:22Lot of dedication. Fucking workload.
- 1:16:24It was a workload. I need like 3° to do it.
- 1:16:26It was a lot. But I'm so proud of.
- 1:16:27You and I'm still going. I'm just undercover. 100% yeah,
- 1:16:32absolutely. I'm.
- 1:16:32So undercover right now, I'm in deep.
- 1:16:37Wait, we're just kidding, y'all? It's a joke.
- 1:16:40Jokes. Just kidding, just kidding.
- 1:16:42I'm manifesting all of that too, to be honest.
- 1:16:44Not to the same extent as you, but mine's, mine's so bad.
- 1:16:50Mine's always like, I want to be pop star and everyone's like
- 1:16:52World Peace. I'm like, OK, personal.
- 1:16:56Joy because then that is pop *. Oh very pop *.
- 1:17:00Because if you're like, if you want to be a pop ** and you wish
- 1:17:03for joy, that joy is going to come in you finding what you
- 1:17:05need to be and then you're a pop *.
- 1:17:06OK, clock, clock joy. So honestly, it feeds back into
- 1:17:10everything. You know, I'm going to manifest
- 1:17:11that, too for my selfish intention of the pop stardom.
- 1:17:13Yes. Period claim.
- 1:17:15OK. Well, thank you so much for
- 1:17:16being on the show, Sasha. Thank you.
- 1:17:18This was really, really fun. Good.
- 1:17:19I was in a bad mood, and you put me in a good mood.
- 1:17:21And you were really chill when you got here too.
- 1:17:23Yeah, because I'm very chill. I kind of just go with a yeah.
- 1:17:25Like I don't know what I'm walking into ever.
- 1:17:27I haven't like done a lot of things.
- 1:17:28And so I just kind of go with the flow and take.
- 1:17:30Are you like PR trained? Not at all.
- 1:17:32I could tell you're not I. Just kind of.
- 1:17:33Yeah, I could tell you're not PR trained, I mean.
- 1:17:35Like. Here's a half question.
- 1:17:37You're like, oh, I have a really big story.
- 1:17:39About. That like here's this because I
- 1:17:42don't know. What I'm fucking doing and I'm
- 1:17:43like I just kind of walk in I'm like this looks cool like I
- 1:17:45don't know where literally even you showing me around this place
- 1:17:47and I'm like what the fuck is this?
- 1:17:48Like still don't get what it is. No, absolutely.
- 1:17:51Just a place that's like has shit and I'm like just.
- 1:17:53A place that has shit in it. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:17:55And like, yeah, it's cool. Oh my gosh, kind of roll up.
- 1:17:58Totally not PR trained. That's really nice.
- 1:18:00Honestly I feel like that's where I I'm very pure trained
- 1:18:03but I'm mostly just like I don't give a fuck anymore like.
- 1:18:05I'm even know what it means honestly.
- 1:18:07The point of having to publicist is that they'll handle your pure
- 1:18:09crisises for you, you know? Charlie's like you're putting me
- 1:18:12in crisis. Oh, my God, I know.
- 1:18:14I give this man nightmares. Oh.
- 1:18:18My God, no, I Oh my God. Well, anyways, I don't have an
- 1:18:22Ariana Grande hate page, so I think we're all clear here, you
- 1:18:25know? I don't either for now.
- 1:18:28OK, OK, OK, OK, OK. I I contemplated a little bit
- 1:18:32after I didn't get wicked, but I let it go.
