- 2:10Jesus, I pray that it'll be you and you alone, God, who gets all
- 2:15the honor and glory and the power forever.
- 2:18Father, we thank you for access to the Word.
- 2:22We thank you God, that we can come to you and be known by you.
- 2:27Father, will we grab the hem of our of your garment.
- 2:32We receive our healing today. Thank you Jesus, and it's in
- 2:37your holy and precious name that I pray, Amen.
- 2:41Let's start in verse one. And it came to pass on the 8th
- 2:46day that Moses called Aaron and his sons and the elders of
- 2:50Israel. So here you're going to find out
- 2:53that it's high time for them to actually do the things that God
- 2:58has prescribed. And he's told Moses up on the
- 3:01mountain what he is to do. He's given him all of the
- 3:05commandments. He's given him all of the
- 3:08requirements of how he would come, the Shekinah glory to come
- 3:11in to the holiest of holy places in a Tabernacle there and he
- 3:16would Tabernacle with them. So here we get to see it
- 3:20actually fleshed out in this chapter verse 2 and he said to
- 3:25Aaron, take you a young calf for a sin offering and a ram for a
- 3:29burnt offering without blemish and offer them before the Lord.
- 3:34God deserves our best. He deserves our first friends.
- 3:38Do not hold back on what is his. Every bit of it's his, not just
- 3:44the best, not just the first, but it's all his.
- 3:47But we come to him and we give him our very best.
- 3:52We give him the very first without blemish. 3 And unto the
- 3:57children of Israel you shall speak, saying, take you a kid of
- 4:02the goats for a sin offering, and a calf and a lamb both of
- 4:05the first year without blemish for a burnt offering.
- 4:09So here God is going to make this stack upon stack of these
- 4:13animals and they are going to be devoured, friends, and he's
- 4:17going to come. He's going to be pleased to come
- 4:21because he sees the sacrifice that they're offering unto him.
- 4:25For also a bull in a ram for peace offerings to sacrifice
- 4:29before the Lord, and a meat offering mingled with oil.
- 4:33For to day the Lord will appear unto you.
- 4:36You see this oil, friends? This is the oil of gladness, the
- 4:39Holy Spirit being poured out upon us, friends.
- 4:42And the Lord will appear unto them, and they sit and they wait
- 4:46expectantly, and God wants to appear unto us today.
- 4:51Bring him into the equation. Don't leave him out at the door.
- 4:55Don't leave him in the church or in the prayer closet.
- 5:00Bring him upon every decision that you make today.
- 5:04Everywhere that you go can be holy ground friends, whether
- 5:08it's the grocery store, the bank, whether it's in your our
- 5:11friends. No matter where you're at in the
- 5:13workplace, you can bring God there on vacation.
- 5:18Wherever you find yourself, bring God into the equation and
- 5:22have a worship session unto a holy God.
- 5:25He's so deserving of all of our attention and adoration.
- 5:31Five And they brought that which Moses commanded before the
- 5:34Tabernacle of the congregation, And all the congregation drew
- 5:38near and stood before the Lord. So here he comes, God's going to
- 5:43do something amazing miraculous. 6 And Moses said, This is the
- 5:48thing which the Lord commanded that you should do in the glory
- 5:51of the Lord shall appear unto you.
- 5:54So He's telling them again and again, God's glory is coming
- 5:57upon the scene because He told me that He would, if we would do
- 6:01the thing, things that we're doing.
- 6:03And that's how it works. Friends, you need to know that
- 6:05sometimes God will leave you in seasons of silence on purpose to
- 6:11test you, not so that He can see what you will do, but so that
- 6:14you will see what you will do. But you need to know by and
- 6:17large God desires to reveal His presence in your life. 7 And
- 6:24Moses and Aaron go unto the altar, and offer your sin
- 6:28offering, and your burnt offering, and making atonement
- 6:31for yourself and for the people, and of the and offer the
- 6:36offering of the people, and making atonement for them.
- 6:39As the Lord commanded a air, and therefore went unto the altar,
- 6:44and slew the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself,
- 6:49so here he's going to be sanctified, be set apart, and be
- 6:53made holy. 9 And the sons of Aaron brought the blood unto
- 6:57him, and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the
- 7:00horns of the altar, and poured out the blood.
- 7:03At the bottom of the altar. We see King Jesus.
- 7:06At the killing place we see him slain before the foundations of
- 7:10the earth. And no one took his life.
- 7:12He laid it down willingly, and His blood spilled out for the
- 7:18remission of the sins of humanity, so that we can come
- 7:21unto a holy God and be seen as holy and set apart, not because
- 7:26of anything that we have done, but because everything that
- 7:29Jesus Christ did for us on that cross. 10 But the fat and the
- 7:35kidneys, and the call above the liver, the sin offering, He
- 7:38burnt it upon the altar as the Lord commanded Moses.
- 7:42This was God's portion. 11 In the flesh and the hide.
- 7:45He burnt with fire outside the camp.
- 7:49Jesus was slew outside the camp. Friends, He fulfilled every
- 7:53single one of the requirements. 12 And he slew the burnt
- 7:57offering, and Aaron's sons presented unto him the blood
- 8:00which he sprinkled round and about the altar. 13 And they
- 8:05presented the burnt offering unto him, and the pieces thereof
- 8:08in the head. He burnt them upon the altar. 14
- 8:12And he did wash the innards and the legs, and burnt them upon
- 8:15the burnt offering on the altar. Can you see the scene?
- 8:19All of these pieces of the animal being put upon the fire,
- 8:23and being completely burnt up unto God, The nostrils of a holy
- 8:28God smelling the pleasing aroma rising up unto him. 15 And he
- 8:36brought the people's offerings, and he took the goat, which was
- 8:40the sin offering for the people, and he slew it.
- 8:42And he offered it for sin as the first. 16 And he brought the
- 8:47burnt offering, and he offered it, according to the Manor. 17
- 8:51And he brought the meat offering, and took a handful of
- 8:54it, and burnt it upon the altar beside the burnt sacrifice of
- 8:59the morning. 18 And he slew the bull and the ram for a sacrifice
- 9:04of peace offerings, which was for the people.
- 9:07And Aaron's sons presented unto him the blood which he sprinkled
- 9:11upon the altar round and about. So we remember this was like
- 9:15communion. This was the food for the
- 9:17priests. 19 in the fat of the bowl and of the ram, the rumping
- 9:23which covered the innards and the kidneys, and the call above
- 9:26the liver, And they put the fat upon the breast, and he burnt
- 9:29the fat upon the altar. Can you smell it, friends?
- 9:33Rising up this wonderful aroma unto a God, a holy God. 21 In
- 9:40the breast of the right shoulder, Aaron waved for a
- 9:42wave, offering before the Lord, as Moses commanded.
- 9:45Can you see him waving it side to side?
- 9:49And Aaron? 22 And Aaron lifted up his hand
- 9:51toward the people, and then he blessed them, and came down from
- 9:54the offering of the sin offering, and the burnt
- 9:56offering, and the peace offerings. 23 And Moses and
- 10:00Aaron went into the Tabernacle of the congregation, and came
- 10:04out and blessed the people. And the glory of the Lord
- 10:07appeared unto all the people. This is what we press towards,
- 10:13friends. We're going to live inside of
- 10:14this place, God's glory encompassing us all around.
- 10:21And we're completely infatuated and saturated, completely filled
- 10:29with the presence of God Almighty.
- 10:31And it is a contentment and it is a filling where we yearn for
- 10:38nothing else. Nothing else matters.
- 10:40Only the presence of God has the ability to fill us in a way
- 10:47where we lack nothing. That is what we yearn towards.
- 10:51Every other God is an idol who cannot see, cannot hear.
- 10:56There's only one true living God, and it's Jesus plus
- 11:00nothing. It is only Jesus that we yearn
- 11:06for. It is only Jesus who can
- 11:08satisfy. It is only Jesus who completely
- 11:12fills every cracking crevice to where we lack no good thing.
- 11:19We'll end on 24. And there came a fire out from
- 11:23before the Lord, and consumed upon the altar the burnt
- 11:26offering and the fat, which when all the people saw, they shouted
- 11:31and fell on their faces. Should kind of glory fall?
- 11:35Let the fire of God fall upon us and burn up all the impurities
- 11:41and the dross. Burn up all of it in the
- 11:44refiners fire. We desperately need this,
- 11:49friends, and we're going to learn in the next chapter how
- 11:53this is a double edged sword because everything that this
- 11:56fire touches that is not holy is consumed, friends.
- 12:02So we need to consecrate ourselves, get rid of all of the
- 12:06impurities and get rid of all of the things that are dragging us
- 12:10away from a holy God and from the communion with God Almighty
- 12:15friends, so that He can come, He can rest in our lives.
- 12:21Hope you've been blessed by this amazing chapter in God's Word.
- 12:25I know I sure have. I'm praying for every single one
- 12:27of you. I love you and we'll see you
- 12:29back here tomorrow. God bless you.
