- 0:02Happy Friday morning, everybody. There, There it is, Herman's new
- 0:10sponsor, Mobil One. Baby, the best, the best oil in
- 0:15all the world. Do you know that I've been with
- 0:18Mobil One since 1986, the year that I started racing?
- 0:26I am still with Sunoco, Sunoco and Mobil One, but Sunoco said
- 0:32Herman, we're going to back it down a little bit.
- 0:35I said that's all right. So Mobil 1 is now the color of
- 0:40the dirt car. I can't wait to unveil it around
- 0:43Wednesday evening. Wednesday evening we're going to
- 0:47unveil the new paint job and I think we're going to have a
- 0:50little blue over the top, going to be white.
- 0:53I got a little, I got to keep my day.
- 0:54Go orange around the bottom. It's going to be a very clean,
- 0:58good looking race car. So yeah, Mobil One has been with
- 1:02me since 1986, the very first year that I started racing and
- 1:08I'm excited to have them. And who knows what's coming out?
- 1:11Who knows what's coming out. We we probably have T-shirts and
- 1:15we'll have it all. We even have some new coffee
- 1:18mugs we can start. Do you all want to do that?
- 1:21Do you want to collect coffee mugs?
- 1:23Respond right here. It's up to all of you because
- 1:27you and the Herminator, we are a team.
- 1:34I'm thinking about, you know, when you're a kid and somebody
- 1:37says we and they want to be a smart ass, they're like, we
- 1:40what, you got a mouse in your pocket?
- 1:43So we, as you and I do, we want to make some mobile one coffee
- 1:48mugs. That's up to you.
- 1:50We can keep our Sunoco coffee mugs because Sunoco still
- 1:53sponsors the Herminator. Oh yeah, we're going to have a
- 1:57nice Sunoco logo on the dirt car, but Mobil 1 is going to be
- 2:02the major sponsor on the dirt car.
- 2:04And there it is, Mobil One, baby.
- 2:08Hey, I thought I did this at the last minute.
- 2:10I looked over, I had a Sharpie over there and I thought, you
- 2:14know what the fans always say? Where's that Sunoco logo?
- 2:18And you know, I just didn't have any decals with me on this trip.
- 2:20So I told everybody a couple weeks ago Mobil One was going to
- 2:25be the sponsor this year. And so why not have fun with it,
- 2:29right? It's Sunday.
- 2:31It's the day of the Lord. This is the day.
- 2:35This is the day that the Lord has made.
- 2:39We will be glad. We will be glad and rejoice in
- 2:44it. And but what else is Sunday?
- 2:50That's right, it's race day. All right, What a monologue.
- 2:54Mobil One, baby. And we will be racing April
- 2:5817th, basically next week, Friday, Brownstown, IL, the
- 3:04Brownstown Boring. That'll be the first race.
- 3:08And then, of course, that Saturday, just 15 minutes from
- 3:11my house at my local track, I-55, Federated Auto Parts
- 3:16Raceway, I believe the monologue's over.
- 3:22I think so, but let's keep talking.
- 3:28You know, I've been everywhere. It's kind of like that song
- 3:30says. I've been everywhere, man.
- 3:33Across the ocean there, man. Yes.
- 3:36Start of the year, I went down to Volusia and raced and won.
- 3:40Then left there and went to a Yellowstone National Park, left
- 3:45there and you know, immediately went to Atlanta for Trackside
- 3:49Live, then went to Circuit of the America for trackside live,
- 3:53then then went to bike Week with brother Rusty, then went to
- 3:58Europe and man, I, I've been burning the candle both ends.
- 4:03It's time to settle down. It's time to settle down and
- 4:06start racing. So I told everybody this year
- 4:09that hey, we're going to race, but we're not going to race
- 4:12nowhere near like we did last year.
- 4:15So you know last year we won two championships.
- 4:19We won the Missouri Illinois region and we won what they call
- 4:23the the Bullring championship. 2 race tracks combined that was
- 4:28Brownstown and Pevely. So this year we not running for
- 4:32no points, that point still ahead, that'll wear an old man
- 4:36out. But boy, we we did it last year.
- 4:38We was a two time champion and with a lot of wins, so we'll
- 4:43settle in right there at 6 championships and 128 dirt wins.
- 4:47Now I just want to go to the race tracking and have a good
- 4:51time and win. We want to win still so, but no
- 4:55more points racing. Too much, too much. 6 is a nice
- 5:00number. That was my dad's.
- 5:02That was my dad's number, Russ. So, OK, here's what coffee with
- 5:08Kenny's really about this morning, the Dale Earnhardt
- 5:11Junior Effect. Did you see that show last
- 5:14night? My gosh, sip of coffee,
- 5:17everybody. How about just the the everybody
- 5:25knows how much I love Dale Junior and Cletus McFarland is a
- 5:30wonderful man. I told everybody how much I like
- 5:34Cletus. Now his mother come by and
- 5:36introduced herself to me. You looked at what happened at
- 5:40the IROC Invitational over there at the 10 tenths racetrack, That
- 5:4410 tenths racetrack, it's a little Rd. course right next to
- 5:48the Charlotte Motor Speedway. It's owned by Marcus Smith and
- 5:52Rick Hendrick. First, it was designed for car
- 5:55club type people. You know, they're very wealthy
- 5:57people. You go there, you have all the
- 5:59amenities, you can celebrate the history of racing.
- 6:04So dawn on me and I think that'll be what we'll talk about
- 6:07Monday morning, you know, with Herman Schrader.
- 6:10Herman Schrader airs on Wednesday.
- 6:13Puts us at a little disadvantage because sometimes some of the
- 6:16news comes out on Tuesday and it kind of got a guess.
- 6:20However, let's talk about those big three.
- 6:24Dale, the Dale Junior effect at Nashville, the Cletus McFarlane
- 6:29Effect at the Freedom Factory 500 facility, and then of course
- 6:35the Heritage Invitational at 10 tenths.
- 6:37What did all all three of these have in common?
- 6:41Right? It's all a throwback.
- 6:43It's all feel good when you look at Dale Junior.
- 6:47Listen, I'm just going to say this and I'm going to say it
- 6:49nice and I mean it with love, total love.
- 6:54I watched that race a little bit on Flow last night and Dale
- 6:58Junior did a wonderful job. I mean he did a kick ass job,
- 7:02but let's be honest, he was passing for like 15th and the
- 7:06crowd was on their feet. Sold out 12,000 people.
- 7:12Two things. If that doesn't tell you the
- 7:14people are ready for a race at Nashville, nothing will.
- 7:18So that that mayor, that mayor better get his head out of his
- 7:22ass. That's not a customer, that's a
- 7:25donkey. The word ass is not a customer,
- 7:28that's a donkey's butt. But I mean, the Dale Junior
- 7:34effect at Nashville sold out 12,000.
- 7:38Now, OK, I'm not going to argue 10,012 thousand.
- 7:40Let's put it this way. There was no more seats left.
- 7:43How's that? How's that?
- 7:46No more seats left. No more seats left at Nashville.
- 7:50They they parked the car somewhere they might, they might
- 7:53have been down the street in the city and they might have bust
- 7:56them in. However, it's the same thing
- 7:59with that soccer stadium, you know, so they all you can't fit
- 8:03all the people in around her because all the houses gathered
- 8:06at. But Dale Junior just put up a
- 8:08big argument that the Nashville Fairgrounds is a feel good
- 8:13throwback. Plus with Ella Langley now that
- 8:20hey, I'm Ella fellow man. I did.
- 8:22I found that Lady yesterday. Damn, she's got some good songs.
- 8:27What is it Drinking Jack all by myself choosing choosing Texas.
- 8:33That's a good song. So congratulations to my buddy
- 8:36Bob Sargent down there at the National Speedway.
- 8:39The cars tour, Dale Junior in the cars tour.
- 8:42All it took to say, hey, Nashville deserves NASCAR Cup
- 8:46Series to be back. That is the Dale Junior effect
- 8:50sold out. Then you go down to Cletus.
- 8:53All right, drink coffee. You go down to Bradenton, the
- 8:58Freedom Factory 500, this is a track that was shut down.
- 9:03Cletus bought it, brought it. When I went there, OK, You know,
- 9:07I raced there on Friday night. I was looking at all the people
- 9:10and I thought those are all NASCAR type fans and that when
- 9:15the race was over, I started signing autographs.
- 9:18Hermann we drove from Detroit. We flew from Detroit, MI to see
- 9:22you. Hermann worked from Pittsburgh,
- 9:25PA and I'm like, this is unbelievable.
- 9:28So Cletus has that effect that that country redneck, you know,
- 9:35fans with their sleeves cut off. I had the best time at Cletus's.
- 9:39It was a feel good night. Everybody just piled in, sold
- 9:43out, sold out. And once again, I don't care how
- 9:46many people it is. There was no more seats left.
- 9:49I think Cletus probably had 8000 people in there at least front
- 9:53stretch, back stretch in the pits, sold out.
- 9:58He when you pulled in the facility had a sign flashing
- 10:01sold out. Stay away.
- 10:05If you ain't got a ticket, you can't get in another one.
- 10:10That Heritage Invitational. I don't know if it's a Country
- 10:13Club or what. Sold out, can't come in for the
- 10:18I Rock race. So something about the old days,
- 10:22everybody, people just want to be entertained and have a good
- 10:25time. All right, I'm going to get in
- 10:28the shower and we're going to head out to the racetrack.
- 10:31We're here. We're here at Bristol.
- 10:33We got a good trackside live show this morning. 12O clock,
- 10:3912O clock. Kyle Larson, Kyle Busch,
- 10:42Christopher Bell and Jacob Cobb. He was, he's a God here.
- 10:48Tennessee Vols legendary quarterback, they call him the
- 10:52pastor or not because he he loves, he loves NASA.
- 10:56So we're going to talk to all of them.
- 10:58Have a great Sunday, everybody.
