- 1:49Speaker 1: that little alert bell. We're gonna be continuing off with
- 1:52Speaker 1: the story of book thirteen. Yeah, I'm going into more
- 2:00Speaker 1: detail with this book because this book has uh, it's
- 2:03Speaker 1: We're gonna this is this is the book where the battle,
- 2:07Speaker 1: the final battle is just beginning. Our allies, our heroes,
- 2:12Speaker 1: and other less savory people be it somehow are still
- 2:15Speaker 1: the good guys are all beginning to come together and
- 2:20Speaker 1: make their final preparations. People are going to start dying,
- 2:26Speaker 1: people have died, and trollics are going to begin invading
- 2:33Speaker 1: all the whole Westlands. And we're going to be seeing
- 2:38Speaker 1: h Rand go on a bit of a redemption arc
- 2:40Speaker 1: because in book twelve we saw him go a little
- 2:44Speaker 1: out of hands. He made he made some he made
- 2:48Speaker 1: some enemies, he stepped on a lot of people's toes,
- 2:52Speaker 1: and now he needs to make things right because he
- 2:56Speaker 1: now realized, he realized now that that's not this is
- 3:00Speaker 1: not the way that he's going to unite the people.
- 3:01Speaker 1: This is not the way that people, uh, they're gonna
- 3:05Speaker 1: they're going to win the last battle. He needs to
- 3:08Speaker 1: make his allies, and as people interact with him, people
- 3:11Speaker 1: especially his allies, everyone has started to notice that he's
- 3:15Speaker 1: no longer car walking around with this like field of
- 3:19Speaker 1: darkness around him. People. When people look at him or
- 3:22Speaker 1: interact with him, it's almost like he's like covered in darkness,
- 3:26Speaker 1: even though there's nothing there. But now, since his recovery
- 3:31Speaker 1: from his madness, he is people seem to like see
- 3:35Speaker 1: like a brilliant light coming from him. So Rand is
- 3:40Speaker 1: now the person he needs to be, and we're gonna
- 3:43Speaker 1: instead of saving his story for last, I'm gonna go
- 3:45Speaker 1: ahead and talk about his story first in this part
- 3:47Speaker 1: because it's all the last last episode we talked about
- 3:50Speaker 1: parents story because paren had probably one of the biggest
- 3:53Speaker 1: roles in this book. Rand he does. He still has
- 3:58Speaker 1: a big role. He still has a major role, but
- 4:02Speaker 1: now he's he's reached a point where like, while his
- 4:06Speaker 1: story is important, it's the shortest in the out of
- 4:11Speaker 1: the out of all the other stories, out of all
- 4:13Speaker 1: the other story arcs in this book. And it's gonna
- 4:15Speaker 1: be the same in the next book. But we will
- 4:19Speaker 1: see more, but we will be seeing a lot more
- 4:23Speaker 1: of him. We're also gonna be seeing We're also gonna
- 4:25Speaker 1: be talking about Igwayne and Matt's stories as well as
- 4:29Speaker 1: Ninive and Avienda because the two of them, because both
- 4:34Speaker 1: Ninive and Avienda make their own discoveries and come into
- 4:39Speaker 1: a bit of more of themselves, if that makes If
- 4:43Speaker 1: that makes sense, Avienda learns new secrets. Where we last,
- 4:48Speaker 1: where we left off, she had been sent to Rudian
- 4:52Speaker 1: to complete her training. She's finally her her mentors and
- 4:59Speaker 1: the world Ones have finally deemed her ready to become
- 5:03Speaker 1: to take the final steps to become a full wise One.
- 5:05Speaker 1: So she's now she now has to go to go
- 5:08Speaker 1: to Ruidian and walk through the glass arches. It's something
- 5:12Speaker 1: that all all I, all Iel wise Ones go through.
- 5:17Speaker 1: It's something that that men also go through if they
- 5:21Speaker 1: wish to become the clan leader, a clan leader of
- 5:23Speaker 1: their steps, or just become a leader in general. This
- 5:27Speaker 1: is they all have to walk through these glass archways.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Last time we saw these archways was back in book
- 5:34Speaker 1: four when Ran himself walked through it in order to
- 5:37Speaker 1: prove that he was the a Eel's Cawra Korn. So
- 5:41Speaker 1: getting back, so without further do, let's just go ahead
- 5:44Speaker 1: and jump right into it. This rand story starts us
- 5:49Speaker 1: off right where we left off in book twelve. He's
- 5:52Speaker 1: coming down from the Dragon Mount. Rather than traveling directly
- 5:56Speaker 1: to where he wants to go, he decides to take
- 5:58Speaker 1: a little stroll. Since the Dragon Mount is literally just
- 6:01Speaker 1: a hop skip away from Tarvlan, he decides to just
- 6:05Speaker 1: walk straight down the from the Dragon Mount all the
- 6:08Speaker 1: way to Tarvlon. Along the way, he does pass an orchard.
- 6:12Speaker 1: This orchard it was primarily used to produce apples and
- 6:18Speaker 1: other fruits, but because of the Dark One's influence, every
- 6:22Speaker 1: time they harvest the apples, they spoil almost immediately, with
- 6:25Speaker 1: hardly any food going being salvageable and be useful for trade.
- 6:32Speaker 1: But as RN walks by his tavern, his tavieran abilities
- 6:36Speaker 1: caused the orchard to completely go into bloom. The farmers
- 6:40Speaker 1: in the orchards were shocked and astonished to see the
- 6:44Speaker 1: effect RN had just by walking by. RN encourages them.
- 6:48Speaker 1: He ran urges them to quickly collect all the apples
- 6:51Speaker 1: from the orchards because since they are now new and
- 6:54Speaker 1: ripe on each of the trees. On each withered tree,
- 6:58Speaker 1: these apples, once collected, don't won't spoil due to the
- 7:02Speaker 1: Dark one's influence. So he's so throughout the story, as
- 7:06Speaker 1: he's interacted with more and more people, he's slowly bringing
- 7:09Speaker 1: hope back to the people. And wherever he goes, that
- 7:12Speaker 1: halo of clouds follow him, follows him, or rather that
- 7:16Speaker 1: halo of open skies is always above him, whereas everywhere
- 7:19Speaker 1: else where he's not complete and it's just completely covered
- 7:22Speaker 1: in clouds. It's dark and dreary. So Ran is now
- 7:27Speaker 1: becoming the hope of the the actual hope of the world.
- 7:32Speaker 1: He is not. He is the dragon reborn, and he
- 7:35Speaker 1: is going to rock your shit. He's ready to rock
- 7:38Speaker 1: everybody's ship anyway. So Ran makes his way straight to Tarvelan,
- 7:43Speaker 1: and once he's there, he's immediately taken into custody by
- 7:47Speaker 1: the Eyes to Die. He's shielded and guarded by a
- 7:49Speaker 1: contingent of warders, but he but he politely asks to
- 7:53Speaker 1: be Uh to see Agwayne, who he now knows, who
- 7:57Speaker 1: he now realizes is the full ambulance seat Uh over
- 8:01Speaker 1: the fully reunited tower. Agwayne herself is shocked by Rand's brashness,
- 8:08Speaker 1: but also how calm he is. She wants to have
- 8:11Speaker 1: him examined for the madness, but he refuses, saying that
- 8:15Speaker 1: he has other things he needs to attend to, because
- 8:18Speaker 1: because if he allows himself to be taken, like if
- 8:21Speaker 1: he allows himself to be examined by the Eyes to die,
- 8:23Speaker 1: they're just gonna keep finding reasons to keep him there
- 8:25Speaker 1: until like, Okay, well it's time for you. It's time
- 8:27Speaker 1: for you to go fight the Dark One. Good luck, Bud.
- 8:32Speaker 1: So he reveals to her that he has a plan,
- 8:35Speaker 1: that he has a plan for taking for taking down
- 8:38Speaker 1: the Dark One once and for all. And he tells
- 8:40Speaker 1: her that part of the plan involves breaking the last
- 8:43Speaker 1: three seals on his prison and he wants her help,
- 8:48Speaker 1: and he wants her help, but Agwayne is but Agwayne
- 8:52Speaker 1: is pissed and admonishes him for proposing such a plan,
- 8:57Speaker 1: but he tells her that he will tell her more.
- 8:59Speaker 1: He will tell her, as well as everyone else more
- 9:02Speaker 1: about his plan in about one month's time, and he
- 9:06Speaker 1: tells her that he's gathered that he's calling a meeting
- 9:09Speaker 1: at a place called the Field of marriylor Field Marrillre
- 9:14Speaker 1: is going to be the fine is going to be
- 9:16Speaker 1: the final meeting place of all of his forces before
- 9:19Speaker 1: they Before he makes his way to Chile goal. So
- 9:23Speaker 1: this is going to be the staging ground. The field
- 9:26Speaker 1: of mary Lore is going to be the staging ground.
- 9:28Speaker 1: It's where all for all of Rand's forces, all his allies,
- 9:32Speaker 1: every person that is uh that is going to join
- 9:36Speaker 1: the fight against the Dark One and his forces, They're
- 9:39Speaker 1: going to be meeting at mary Lore first. And he's
- 9:44Speaker 1: also he also hints that he's going to be revealing
- 9:47Speaker 1: other things, uh, other things to the to the people
- 9:51Speaker 1: before the battle begins. And when he leaves, Agwayne thinks
- 9:58Speaker 1: that she needs to that she needs to find a
- 10:01Speaker 1: way to dissuade him from the plan, from his plan,
- 10:03Speaker 1: or just stop him entirely. So she begins so she
- 10:06Speaker 1: herself begins making plans to gather allies from all across
- 10:09Speaker 1: the Westlands to stand against Ran, to oppose his plan completely.
- 10:18Speaker 1: From here, Ran departs and to we're gonna kind of
- 10:32Speaker 1: we're gonna kind of jump back between Rand and some
- 10:35Speaker 1: of his allies, especially the ones that are going to
- 10:37Speaker 1: be that are actively traveling with him. Yeah, Rand travels
- 10:46Speaker 1: back to the Stone of tyr Hm where his where
- 10:49Speaker 1: Kat Swayne and his other allies are there waiting for him.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Ninive herself has been become terrified of Rand's recent actions,
- 10:57Speaker 1: but men who still who is closely bonded to him,
- 11:01Speaker 1: who still carries her bond with him, feels something has changed,
- 11:05Speaker 1: and has something has changed and great, there's a new
- 11:07Speaker 1: light and warmth coming from him. His allies noticed that
- 11:11Speaker 1: the Isidai Alana has disappeared and the only thing left
- 11:18Speaker 1: in her room. The only thing left behind was an
- 11:20Speaker 1: empty envelope that contained a letter from Varren. And as
- 11:25Speaker 1: we all know, Varren was in fact a sister of
- 11:28Speaker 1: the Black Asia and she is now dead, but they
- 11:32Speaker 1: don't know that yet. Yeah, Min senses Ran returning to Tyr.
- 11:38Speaker 1: She reunites with him and has new viewings of him,
- 11:42Speaker 1: this time a more This This viewing is very is
- 11:48Speaker 1: very clearly showing her his fate. She sees an open cavern,
- 11:54Speaker 1: bloodstained rocks, two dead men, and a pipe of all things,
- 12:00Speaker 1: you know, the tobacco pipe mm hmm. He senses that
- 12:07Speaker 1: Alana is in the border Uh in the Borderlands, and
- 12:11Speaker 1: he he proceeds to apologize to the a Eel to
- 12:13Speaker 1: ninive and even lifts Katswain's exile and reveals a Gwayne's
- 12:19Speaker 1: ascension to the ambulance seat uh, he lines UH. He
- 12:23Speaker 1: gathers the high lords and ladies of Tyr and reveals
- 12:27Speaker 1: uh several of his and reveals that several of the
- 12:30Speaker 1: high lords are in fact Dark friends. M And as
- 12:36Speaker 1: I said before, as many people begin to interact with
- 12:39Speaker 1: him since his uh, since his recovery, they are now
- 12:42Speaker 1: seeing that he's completely changed, that he is completely changed,
- 12:46Speaker 1: no longer shrouded in in this unseen darkness. While after it,
- 12:52Speaker 1: after he declares dark Friends among his allies, his father
- 12:56Speaker 1: Tam arrives and ran and Wren embraces him into pogizing,
- 13:00Speaker 1: and it's a very emotional and touching moment where you
- 13:04Speaker 1: know he's he's finally he's finally reunited with his dad,
- 13:08Speaker 1: but not not just as the dragon reborn, but as himself.
- 13:11Speaker 1: He's no longer carrying that darkness with him, and he's
- 13:15Speaker 1: no longer he's no longer driven by paranoia and delusions
- 13:21Speaker 1: or anything like that. So it's a very touching moment.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Not too far from where this is happening, a bubble
- 13:29Speaker 1: of evil had appeared and destroyed a small section of
- 13:34Speaker 1: a district in tier Ninive goes to investigates alongside one
- 13:40Speaker 1: of ransa shaman a guy named Naif. The two of
- 13:46Speaker 1: them see that the bubble of evil has completely caused
- 13:50Speaker 1: it's an entire district to become desiccated. Everything has turned
- 13:55Speaker 1: into dust, like the buildings and people are still there,
- 14:00Speaker 1: but they've been turned but they've been completely calcified. And
- 14:03Speaker 1: every time they interact with these people or if they
- 14:06Speaker 1: touched the building it they disintegrate into dust. So the
- 14:10Speaker 1: two of them decide to just completely clear the area
- 14:13Speaker 1: using wind, so that way, so that way the general
- 14:16Speaker 1: population isn't left to see how horrifying it is, because it, Uh, God,
- 14:24Speaker 1: what's a good reference for this? Like have you ever
- 14:26Speaker 1: seen like clips of like when people like in movies
- 14:29Speaker 1: where people are flash are like flash fried and all
- 14:33Speaker 1: that's left is like statues of ash. Yeah, you touch them,
- 14:36Speaker 1: they just like fall apart. Yep, that's exactly that's what
- 14:41Speaker 1: they see. While she's work, while Ninive is working with Knife,
- 14:47Speaker 1: she notices that he keeps pointing out that he can
- 14:50Speaker 1: see that he keeps that he sees miar drawl around
- 14:54Speaker 1: every corner, like he can see them like hiding in windows,
- 14:57Speaker 1: like hiding behind windows, behind corner or in shadows. But
- 15:01Speaker 1: when Ninive herself looks. She can't see anything when she
- 15:05Speaker 1: used and when she uses her own her powers to
- 15:08Speaker 1: search the area, she can't sense any mirror drawl or
- 15:11Speaker 1: any dark friends nearby, or any dark creatures nearby. She
- 15:16Speaker 1: she correctly determines that uh, that his seeing mirror drawl
- 15:25Speaker 1: is an effect, is an effect of his own form
- 15:27Speaker 1: of magic. All right, I'm sorry, his own form of madness.
- 15:31Speaker 1: And after they've finished clearing the area and he mentions
- 15:35Speaker 1: the mirror drawl, seeing the mirror drawl again, she is.
- 15:38Speaker 1: She goes up to him and takes his head in
- 15:41Speaker 1: her hands, and she delves him. If I haven't explained
- 15:45Speaker 1: delving before. It's a it's a method that channelers can
- 15:48Speaker 1: use to sense like what to sense what kind of
- 15:51Speaker 1: ailments are are like it's kind of like a like
- 15:55Speaker 1: it's like a channeler equivalent of an MRI I cat scan, ultrasounds,
- 16:00Speaker 1: an X ray all in one. So she can see.
- 16:03Speaker 1: So it allows you to see like what is afflicting
- 16:06Speaker 1: a person, like what what part of their body is
- 16:08Speaker 1: damaged or what's what's ailing them? And she uh, and
- 16:15Speaker 1: she can see that there's like a darkness shroud like
- 16:20Speaker 1: a dark web and shrouding his his brain. Now, of
- 16:24Speaker 1: course now since he hasn't been in a shaman for
- 16:27Speaker 1: very since he wasn't sure he was. He did become
- 16:30Speaker 1: a shaman before Rand cleansed the source. It's the his
- 16:36Speaker 1: affliction is is pretty uh is pretty severe, but she
- 16:42Speaker 1: noticed it. But she realized that these dark wet this
- 16:45Speaker 1: dark this darkness that covers his brain looks looks very
- 16:50Speaker 1: similar to weaves of compulsion. It's in the same way,
- 16:57Speaker 1: like how when a compulsion is put on somebody mind,
- 17:00Speaker 1: it creates like a wee, like a like a webbing
- 17:03Speaker 1: that's like stuck over their stuck over their brain, influencing
- 17:07Speaker 1: their actions. And remembering what Rand taught her about how
- 17:11Speaker 1: to remove compulsion, she uses her own weaves of compulsions
- 17:15Speaker 1: to see if she can counteract this darkness, and at
- 17:20Speaker 1: first nothing happens. Every time she tries to overlay her
- 17:24Speaker 1: own weaves over the the over the dark web, over
- 17:29Speaker 1: the madness, her waves just keep disappearing. But then she
- 17:34Speaker 1: figures out if she holds her weave in place and
- 17:37Speaker 1: uses it to carefully unhook where the where the mad
- 17:43Speaker 1: or the black weaves are hooking into his brain, if
- 17:47Speaker 1: he's able to she was able to carefully and meticulously
- 17:51Speaker 1: peel off this dark, this madness from his brain and
- 17:57Speaker 1: heal the damaged part of his brain. And by the
- 17:59Speaker 1: end of it, she completely removes the shadow from his
- 18:04Speaker 1: from his mind, healing it over. And that's how Ninive
- 18:09Speaker 1: discovers how to heal the madness. So I gotta say Ninive,
- 18:15Speaker 1: like Ninive, Igwayne, and Elaine, all three of those girls
- 18:20Speaker 1: have made some very awesome discoveries with the power. Ninive
- 18:24Speaker 1: herself discovered how to heal suffering, which was but which
- 18:29Speaker 1: at one point, which before had been believed to be
- 18:32Speaker 1: completely permanent and irreversible. But here comes Ninive and she's
- 18:36Speaker 1: like Navich, you can channel again, Navich heal. And now
- 18:43Speaker 1: she's proven that she can heal the madness too, because
- 18:46Speaker 1: the madness isn't just like, oh, the degenerative, like a
- 18:50Speaker 1: degeneration of the brain. It's the literal. It's the dark
- 18:53Speaker 1: one's power literally influencing your mind, and she figured out
- 18:57Speaker 1: how to remove it. So now the a shaman have hope.
- 19:03Speaker 1: So although we don't really get to see much more
- 19:06Speaker 1: of this, of her use of this weave or her
- 19:09Speaker 1: healing other shaman of them, of their own madness, but
- 19:13Speaker 1: it does imply that Ninive does eventually teach the other
- 19:16Speaker 1: Isaidaie how to use it and how to properly how
- 19:20Speaker 1: to properly remove the man to heal the madness from
- 19:24Speaker 1: the shop from the a shaman's minds. Later on, later on,
- 19:32Speaker 1: Rand tells Ninive what he plans to do with the
- 19:35Speaker 1: seals and explains and explains his reasoning. She believes him,
- 19:40Speaker 1: and she agrees to join him at child Goal and
- 19:45Speaker 1: she decides to try to see if she can try
- 19:47Speaker 1: if she can heal Rand of his own madness. But
- 19:50Speaker 1: she sees that while his brain is still is much
- 19:53Speaker 1: more severely affected by the madness than Naives was. She
- 19:58Speaker 1: also sees that there's something else else on his mind,
- 20:01Speaker 1: like a light. Almost It's almost as if like, uh,
- 20:05Speaker 1: there's two separate form there's like two separate energies covering
- 20:10Speaker 1: enshrouding his mind, the darkness of the madness and some
- 20:13Speaker 1: other new light that's that's neutralizing it. So while she
- 20:16Speaker 1: can't heal it completely remove it, she realizes that she
- 20:20Speaker 1: doesn't need to. Back in the White Tower. Uh. Back
- 20:31Speaker 1: in the White Tower, Igwayne sends out a message to Ninive,
- 20:35Speaker 1: telling her that she needs to return to the White Tower,
- 20:37Speaker 1: mainly because she needs mainly because she She's decided it's
- 20:41Speaker 1: time for Ninive to take her tests for the Shawl
- 20:45Speaker 1: to become a full isid Eye, and also she needs
- 20:48Speaker 1: she needs Ninive there in order to just begin training
- 20:52Speaker 1: the other isid E in her more advanced healing healing weaves.
- 20:58Speaker 1: So Niniva agrees to return, and the thing is Naive
- 21:02Speaker 1: and Igwaine have been butting had been butting heads for
- 21:06Speaker 1: quite some time, but they finally came to an understanding
- 21:10Speaker 1: and Ninive has agreed to start not only not only
- 21:14Speaker 1: to accept Igwaine as a leader, but also to show
- 21:18Speaker 1: her the proper respect. In the White Tower, Agwaine meets
- 21:22Speaker 1: with several of several of the White of the White
- 21:25Speaker 1: Tower sitters and begin discussing how they can purge the
- 21:30Speaker 1: Tower completely of Massana and any remaining Black Asia, because
- 21:36Speaker 1: they know for a fact that Masana is still there.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Let's see here, I'll come back, We'll get back to
- 21:55Speaker 1: Ninive leaves for the White Tower, and in the in
- 21:58Speaker 1: the White Tower, she's completed, she has completed preparing for
- 22:01Speaker 1: her test for the Shawl. So just I'm just gonna
- 22:06Speaker 1: go over her test for the SHAWL really just real quick. Uh,
- 22:10Speaker 1: I don't wanna. I don't want to spend too much
- 22:13Speaker 1: time on her story. It's too her story is not
- 22:21Speaker 1: really that long. Actually, yeah, let's talk about nine for
- 22:28Speaker 1: a bit. Peter Devin edit that part out. I'm just
- 22:33Speaker 1: trying to get my ship together. So Ninive has finally
- 22:39Speaker 1: has fully prepared for her test for the SHAWL. So
- 22:46Speaker 1: the what the so what the test of the of
- 22:48Speaker 1: the shaw involves. It involves a similar process as the
- 22:53Speaker 1: tests to become an accepted. So with the accept With
- 22:57Speaker 1: the test to becoming accepted, she originally had to walk
- 23:00Speaker 1: through three archway tarangreole, each one showing her her fears
- 23:06Speaker 1: fears of the past, present, future, things like that, and
- 23:09Speaker 1: she had to successfully overcome them and safely come out
- 23:15Speaker 1: of the arches. And if she were to do that,
- 23:17Speaker 1: come out of all three, then she's passed her tests
- 23:20Speaker 1: and is ready to be accepted. And she is now
- 23:23Speaker 1: an accepted. Now the test to become an isid I
- 23:27Speaker 1: a full sister of the isid I and does involve
- 23:31Speaker 1: a similar tourangreoll. This tourangriol is an ovoid hoop that
- 23:36Speaker 1: stands on one of its rounded points unsupported, and it
- 23:43Speaker 1: involves there's a good number of isid i about I
- 23:49Speaker 1: believe there was about thirteen I sid i that worked
- 23:52Speaker 1: together to make the tarangoiol work. And when they activate it,
- 23:57Speaker 1: the hoop begins to spin on its axis and to
- 24:00Speaker 1: the point that it becomes like almost like a portal
- 24:05Speaker 1: or a gateway. And once it's completely open in the
- 24:11Speaker 1: accepted that's being tested walks through it. And the test
- 24:15Speaker 1: that she needs to do is that she's going to
- 24:19Speaker 1: be given literally one hundred different scenarios. In each scenario,
- 24:24Speaker 1: she has to search for a six pointed star and
- 24:30Speaker 1: when she sees it, for each time she sees it,
- 24:33Speaker 1: she has to we've used a specific weaves there. She
- 24:38Speaker 1: had to study and memorize one hundred different weaves for
- 24:42Speaker 1: this test, and each time she had each time she
- 24:46Speaker 1: has to create the weave, she has to do it
- 24:50Speaker 1: under increasing pressure. So for each test she takes, the
- 24:55Speaker 1: stakes are going to be higher. She's going to be
- 24:57Speaker 1: under more pressure, and for each time she does it,
- 25:02Speaker 1: she has to remain calm. She cannot run, she cannot
- 25:06Speaker 1: turn and fight whatever fantoms are being conjured or like whatever.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Each scenario that is created, it's gonna be like a
- 25:14Speaker 1: different scene, like a literal, like different scenarios, different scenes.
- 25:20Speaker 1: She's going to be tempted to help people, she's going
- 25:23Speaker 1: to be tempted to fight back. She may be tempted
- 25:27Speaker 1: to run, but in each scenario she has to she
- 25:31Speaker 1: has to maintain her composure, walk calmly to where the
- 25:34Speaker 1: six pointed star is, where she can see the six
- 25:37Speaker 1: pointed star, perform the weave, and then move on to
- 25:40Speaker 1: the next to the next scenario. Now she does Ninive.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Ninive enters the tarangryal and just as she was told,
- 25:51Speaker 1: she encounters many different scenarios where she must leave injured
- 25:55Speaker 1: or dying people to their fates in order to make
- 25:57Speaker 1: the weave. In some cases, she in some cases she's attacked,
- 26:02Speaker 1: she's left bitten and burned, and at one point her
- 26:07Speaker 1: braid is cut off, which was like real aggravation for
- 26:10Speaker 1: her because being from the two rivers, a woman's braid
- 26:13Speaker 1: is like a part, is like a cultural uh. It
- 26:16Speaker 1: has a lot of cultural significance. It's it symbolizes that
- 26:19Speaker 1: she's a woman and that she is an accepted and
- 26:22Speaker 1: respected member of her community. It's kind of like a
- 26:27Speaker 1: it's like braiding when you first sort of permitted to
- 26:29Speaker 1: braid your hair, braid your hair. It's like quinsaneta. It's
- 26:33Speaker 1: like a coming of age thing. And towards the end
- 26:38Speaker 1: of it, towards the end of one of the last
- 26:42Speaker 1: of one of the last scenarios, she loses. She does
- 26:46Speaker 1: lose her composure several times, and she actually uses her
- 26:49Speaker 1: power to save her friends from like the from these
- 26:55Speaker 1: illusionary scenarios. Like at one point she even uses Bailfi
- 27:00Speaker 1: to save Land from some dark hounts because billfire is
- 27:03Speaker 1: really the only way you can kill dark hounts. She
- 27:07Speaker 1: makes it out of the tests. She's furious, she's crying,
- 27:11Speaker 1: she's crying, she's furious, she's in pain. The others heal her.
- 27:15Speaker 1: But several of the eyes that I turn on the
- 27:17Speaker 1: others and admonish them, because several of the eyes that
- 27:20Speaker 1: I that were overseeing the tests had created extreme scenarios
- 27:26Speaker 1: for her, much more extreme and dangerous than what is
- 27:30Speaker 1: typically used for the test. This is showcasing a certain
- 27:35Speaker 1: kind of prejudice that does exist in the White Tower.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Whenever and whenever an initiate comes to the Tower. Most
- 27:45Speaker 1: of the most common form of initiate are women who
- 27:49Speaker 1: have the ability to learn how to channel. So while
- 27:52Speaker 1: they may not be necessarily born with the spark, they
- 27:54Speaker 1: do have the capacity to learn and guide it to
- 27:57Speaker 1: touching the source. And then there's another type of initiate
- 28:02Speaker 1: that most isaid I referred to as wilders. Wilders are
- 28:07Speaker 1: women who have who have naturally come to touching the
- 28:11Speaker 1: source on their own. They didn't need to be guided
- 28:14Speaker 1: to it. It was an into, It was an instinctual
- 28:16Speaker 1: thing for them. So these women or wilders are kind
- 28:19Speaker 1: are the kind of channelers that are born with the
- 28:22Speaker 1: ability to channel. And Ninieve was one such woman. And
- 28:26Speaker 1: because of this, wilders are often looked down upon by
- 28:30Speaker 1: other by other sisters of the i sid I because
- 28:34Speaker 1: in many cases it's just out of jealousy because while
- 28:37Speaker 1: they had to work hard to learn how to use
- 28:39Speaker 1: the source, people like Ninia come in and they do
- 28:42Speaker 1: all this stuff like it's nothing. So and that prejudice
- 28:48Speaker 1: bled into her into her own tests, and in some
- 28:52Speaker 1: cases she nearly died during the test. Now, several of
- 28:58Speaker 1: the isidyeh. Now now these the very isid I that
- 29:03Speaker 1: created these very dangerous scenarios for her declare that she
- 29:08Speaker 1: had failed her test because she had lost her composure
- 29:11Speaker 1: and will and used uh and use the power to
- 29:16Speaker 1: defend others when she should have just been focusing on
- 29:19Speaker 1: the one hundred weaves. But Ninive Ninive counters counters that
- 29:26Speaker 1: by saying she passed because she remembered. She not only
- 29:29Speaker 1: remembered the hundred weaves, but she also saved lives. And
- 29:32Speaker 1: she declared that she no matter what, she will never
- 29:35Speaker 1: turn her back on others when they're in need. She's
- 29:37Speaker 1: not going to give into the isid eyes like philosophy
- 29:42Speaker 1: of just blind self control and apathy, because in many cases,
- 29:47Speaker 1: the isid eye will not be afraid to just walk
- 29:50Speaker 1: away from a scenario without lending aid. Or they'll often
- 29:54Speaker 1: dismiss uh. They'll often dismiss h like critical situations like
- 30:04Speaker 1: trilots are attacking, Eh, well these people brought it upon themselves,
- 30:08Speaker 1: or hey, they said I didn't want my help, so
- 30:10Speaker 1: I'm not going to do anything. But Ninive she's like
- 30:17Speaker 1: a lot of the times, Yeah, they can be, but
- 30:19Speaker 1: Ninive says that she'll never turn her back on people.
- 30:22Speaker 1: And after a discussion uh the other the isid I
- 30:29Speaker 1: declare that she has passed her tests and that she
- 30:31Speaker 1: is ready to Uh and that she is ready to
- 30:36Speaker 1: take the shawl. After after swearing the three oaths and
- 30:40Speaker 1: receiving her shawl, she is declared for the Yellow Aja,
- 30:43Speaker 1: the Healing Aja. Ninive travels to the Black Tower to
- 30:47Speaker 1: find a particular isid I name Mirell. Merell currently is
- 30:53Speaker 1: holding lands water bond. It was passed to her from
- 30:59Speaker 1: More after Morain died, and she demands that the bond
- 31:04Speaker 1: be passed it to her. And i Need demands that
- 31:07Speaker 1: the bond be passed to her. Morel is annoyed, but
- 31:10Speaker 1: but agrees and passes the water bond over to Ninive.
- 31:18Speaker 1: And I Need will eventually go go back and rejoin
- 31:21Speaker 1: Ran because she will be coming, because she will be
- 31:27Speaker 1: Uh going with him to Shilgual in the final battle.
- 31:30Speaker 1: Going back to ran Uh. He and men have traveled
- 31:34Speaker 1: back to bander Evan, back in uh Are Doman. Yeah,
- 31:40Speaker 1: the cloud the clouds over the city break, bathing the
- 31:44Speaker 1: city in sunlight, in sunlight that has it that it
- 31:46Speaker 1: hasn't seen in weeks, if not months. They see how
- 31:52Speaker 1: desolate the people have become. It reeks of waste. People
- 31:55Speaker 1: are starving. You know men, though does see men, does
- 32:03Speaker 1: have the several viewings of people whose futures show that
- 32:07Speaker 1: are much brighter, are actually a lot brighter now. In
- 32:10Speaker 1: some cases she sees women becoming isidie or in other
- 32:14Speaker 1: cases men becoming battlefield battle heroes of the last battle.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Ran uh Ran quickly points picks out the former uh
- 32:27Speaker 1: vander Ebens city guards and soldiers. He even finds one
- 32:31Speaker 1: of their captains, and uh within an hour, brings the
- 32:37Speaker 1: forces of the city back together. He gives them, he
- 32:41Speaker 1: reassures them that they're going to uh, that they're going
- 32:43Speaker 1: to save the city, and that they're gonna feed his
- 32:45Speaker 1: that they're going to feed the people, and for some reason,
- 32:48Speaker 1: the people believe him. They can see the light uh.
- 32:50Speaker 1: They can see that light within ran now and they're like, okay, okay.
- 32:55Speaker 1: So people start gathering, they start helping each other clean
- 32:59Speaker 1: up the city. He brings in the eyes of Eye
- 33:02Speaker 1: to start healing the sick ren and men go back
- 33:06Speaker 1: to the dock. They do encounter the the what do
- 33:10Speaker 1: they call the harbor Master. The harbor Master had barricaded
- 33:15Speaker 1: the docks from the rest of the city as a
- 33:18Speaker 1: way of protecting the boats because since people were starving,
- 33:21Speaker 1: and since Tech and since the supplies that had been
- 33:24Speaker 1: brought in by the seafolk are still there, he didn't
- 33:26Speaker 1: want the people rioting and trying to go for spoiled
- 33:29Speaker 1: food and destroying and destroying the harbor. But Wren reassures
- 33:33Speaker 1: him that that he has nothing to fear. They go,
- 33:36Speaker 1: They go onto the ships, that the foods are still UH,
- 33:39Speaker 1: that the food stores were still on and after clearing
- 33:42Speaker 1: some of the clearing some of the spoiled food out,
- 33:47Speaker 1: they find that most of the food is actually still
- 33:49Speaker 1: good and it's unspoiled, which is shocked, which most of
- 33:53Speaker 1: the people are shocks. But n understands that this is
- 33:56Speaker 1: just his Tavierian nature correcting the wrongs of the war
- 34:00Speaker 1: old so the food UH. So the food is UH
- 34:07Speaker 1: is then distributed evenly among all the people. Ran names
- 34:10Speaker 1: the new steward of the city and he begins his
- 34:12Speaker 1: preparations to lead UH. And he begins his preparations for
- 34:16Speaker 1: the city. He orders his UH. He orders this U people,
- 34:20Speaker 1: the people to begin gathering their forces because they will
- 34:23Speaker 1: be marching with him to the field of Marilord, to
- 34:27Speaker 1: the gathering that he is called going back to Uh
- 34:36Speaker 1: so going back to the borderlands, Rhodell Itzrald had been
- 34:42Speaker 1: fighting a desperate fight. He had been left behind by
- 34:46Speaker 1: RN with orders to hold the to hold the line
- 34:49Speaker 1: until he can come back with reinforcements. But the thing
- 34:51Speaker 1: is is that he's been He's been fighting for weeks now.
- 34:54Speaker 1: The trolic armies are pushing further south. He had at
- 34:59Speaker 1: one point he he did have a foot he did
- 35:01Speaker 1: have a foothold, he did have a line that was
- 35:04Speaker 1: holding just outside of the city of a Saldean city,
- 35:08Speaker 1: but his lines had been broken. Unfortunately, his lines had
- 35:11Speaker 1: been broken and he was forced to retreat, and this
- 35:17Speaker 1: fight had taken into the streets of the city called
- 35:20Speaker 1: Morandan Mirandan Maradin, I'm sorry, he uh. Rodell, falling into
- 35:30Speaker 1: his now habitual UH battle tactics of basically fighting and
- 35:35Speaker 1: losing battle but making sure the other uh, making sure
- 35:39Speaker 1: the other team pays a heavy cost, begins fight, fighting
- 35:44Speaker 1: a series of guerrilla tactics and ambush tactics, almost to
- 35:50Speaker 1: the point where his people are now scauted, scattered throughout
- 35:53Speaker 1: this burning city, and it seems like there's no hope
- 35:57Speaker 1: until Iterault's forces are saved by the arrival of the
- 36:06Speaker 1: Saldean army led by Davren Bashir. They arrived by gateway
- 36:12Speaker 1: and began to retake the city. They successfully push all
- 36:18Speaker 1: the troalks outside of the city, and it's then that
- 36:20Speaker 1: Iterul learns that Ran has arrived. Rand has arrived and
- 36:26Speaker 1: it's ready and has come to pull iterauled out of
- 36:30Speaker 1: the out of the fire. He does apologize to Itul
- 36:32Speaker 1: for leaving him on his own for so long, but
- 36:35Speaker 1: now that he's here, he's here to help push back
- 36:38Speaker 1: the Trollic forces, And at first Bashier is like, how
- 36:44Speaker 1: would you like us to proceed? And Ran is like,
- 36:46Speaker 1: it's okay, I got this, And with a pair of
- 36:49Speaker 1: his h with a pair of his uh she, with
- 36:54Speaker 1: his pair of his beer maidens coming with him, he
- 36:56Speaker 1: opens a gateway to the to the breach in the
- 37:01Speaker 1: city's walls where trlocks are beginning to come back through
- 37:05Speaker 1: and try to overwhelm the city again. As soon as
- 37:08Speaker 1: he goes. As soon as he appears, he immediately channels
- 37:11Speaker 1: a massive wave of fire burning through all of the
- 37:13Speaker 1: tarlocks coming through the breach he walks through. After clearing
- 37:17Speaker 1: those trollocks, he walks through to the outside of the
- 37:19Speaker 1: wall and faces hunt like the tens of thousands of
- 37:22Speaker 1: trluks that have come to attack the city. And as
- 37:25Speaker 1: they're making as they're charging, making their way to him
- 37:30Speaker 1: and charging him, he's lets that he releases a massive
- 37:33Speaker 1: wave of air, knocking the front lines back, and he
- 37:37Speaker 1: begins to channel dozens. He begins to create dozens of
- 37:40Speaker 1: weaves at once. He creates he creates dozens of death gates, fireballs,
- 37:48Speaker 1: and when drag Car begins to fly swoop in from
- 37:51Speaker 1: the air, he summons massive sickles of ice to shoot
- 37:55Speaker 1: them down, and he's slaughtering. Rn begins to slaughter thousands
- 38:02Speaker 1: upon thousands of trollocks just by himself. And as he's channeling,
- 38:07Speaker 1: he begins to yep. And as he's channeling, he begins
- 38:10Speaker 1: to reach out with his power and starts and takes
- 38:13Speaker 1: control of the weather. He starts creating cyclones. We're talking
- 38:17Speaker 1: like f five cyclones. He creates like I think like
- 38:20Speaker 1: half a dozen of them. They start sweeping through the
- 38:23Speaker 1: trollic armies. At one point, he's literally using the air
- 38:28Speaker 1: to sweep trollics up into the air, shoots them down
- 38:31Speaker 1: with light, shocks them with lightning, until eventually there's nothing left.
- 38:37Speaker 1: This was like, this was a Yes, this was an
- 38:40Speaker 1: awesome display of Rand's power. And he's now he's not
- 38:44Speaker 1: just using the rudimentary knowledge that he learned that he
- 38:46Speaker 1: picked up along the way. He's now using his full
- 38:49Speaker 1: He's now using the knowledge of his past life. So
- 38:52Speaker 1: everything loose. Theren knew about channeling about offensive weaves, that's
- 38:57Speaker 1: what Rand is is using now. So he was shooting out,
- 39:00Speaker 1: he was creating pillars of fire, he was creating tornadoes,
- 39:03Speaker 1: shooting lightning. He was using death gates, he was using fires,
- 39:08Speaker 1: arrows of fire, and he was mowing these motherfuckers down. Now,
- 39:12Speaker 1: I will say this Wren was augmenting his power.
- 39:17Speaker 2: Uh.
- 39:17Speaker 1: He had going going back a little bit back to
- 39:22Speaker 1: book six when he uh when he escaped from the
- 39:26Speaker 1: ice ad Idumai as well, when the Iiday had captured him,
- 39:30Speaker 1: they had confiscated a little angriell that he had with
- 39:32Speaker 1: them at the time. It's a little the little fat
- 39:35Speaker 1: man ungrielle. Yeah, and Ran had been carrying that with
- 39:38Speaker 1: him since book since book four when he took it
- 39:41Speaker 1: from the the toronngrail store rooms in Stone of Tear,
- 39:46Speaker 1: and he he had lost it at Dumais wells, and
- 39:49Speaker 1: since then I'd just either been relying on his own
- 39:51Speaker 1: power or relying on uh helandor or the choding call.
- 39:58Speaker 1: But now that he no longer has the cholding car
- 40:00Speaker 1: and Kalander is too dangerous to use at the moment,
- 40:03Speaker 1: he went back to Domai as well, and after searching
- 40:06Speaker 1: for a bit, he found he found the fat Man Ariel,
- 40:09Speaker 1: and he did mention that the ariel itself is not
- 40:12Speaker 1: that powerful, but with its power, he was able to
- 40:14Speaker 1: use enough energy to completely obliterate this Uh the trolk army.
- 40:21Speaker 1: And while Uh and Uh from the perspective of the
- 40:25Speaker 1: of Iderald and Bashir, they could just see him. From
- 40:30Speaker 1: Uh they could see him just why, They could just
- 40:33Speaker 1: see him going ham on all these trollocks, and they
- 40:36Speaker 1: noticed that several other Uh, like several other of the
- 40:43Speaker 1: Saldeans nearby, began to like cry out and lose their shit.
- 40:48Speaker 1: So the former Lord of Moradin and his wife, as
- 40:53Speaker 1: it turns out, were both dark friends. The thing is
- 40:57Speaker 1: is that this maybe due to Rand's Taberan nature, but
- 41:05Speaker 1: the lord and his wife for some reason can see
- 41:08Speaker 1: the light of Rand's power, which is usually invisible to
- 41:11Speaker 1: non channelers, and it was so bright that it blinded
- 41:15Speaker 1: them and they ended up throwing themselves from the from
- 41:18Speaker 1: the ramparts that they were standing on. Yeah, it was great.
- 41:24Speaker 1: After the after wiping out the trollic forces, Rand, who
- 41:29Speaker 1: understand who, of course overdid it. He was pretty worn
- 41:34Speaker 1: out from using so much power to kill all those trollocks.
- 41:38Speaker 1: He returns back. He returns to men and Uh. She
- 41:43Speaker 1: reveals to him that after reading up on Colandor, she
- 41:50Speaker 1: tells him that while Rand is using it, if Ran
- 41:53Speaker 1: were to use Calandor, there's a possibility that somebody else
- 41:56Speaker 1: can reach out and take control of him and Landor
- 42:00Speaker 1: while he's channeling through it. But returning. But they returned
- 42:07Speaker 1: with Iteroll back to Tyr and Ran takes Iterol to
- 42:13Speaker 1: kat Swayin, who had revealed who Wren had sent out
- 42:17Speaker 1: to search for a particular individual. So Wren and Katswayne
- 42:24Speaker 1: both believed that in her reign of the White Tower,
- 42:30Speaker 1: Eleda had sent emissaries to several of the kingdoms and
- 42:34Speaker 1: that had been under siege recently and had kidnapped their monarchs.
- 42:39Speaker 1: And it turns out to be true because the king
- 42:40Speaker 1: of Aridman was was in Isidi custody but they were
- 42:46Speaker 1: still but see the Isidi that Hadleda had sent out.
- 42:49Speaker 1: They had yet to learn the weaves of traveling, so
- 42:51Speaker 1: they were traveling the old fashioned way and they were
- 42:53Speaker 1: halfway to Tarvelan before kats Wwayn had found them. So
- 42:57Speaker 1: Kat's Way kats Wayne liberated Eric Eric Doman's king I'll
- 43:02Speaker 1: solemn and returns and returns him to it. It is
- 43:09Speaker 1: overjoyed and is happy that now eared Doman has its
- 43:12Speaker 1: king back. Yeah, he has such a small role in
- 43:17Speaker 1: this book. I'm trying to find where the rest of
- 43:21Speaker 1: his story goes, so I can just head straight to it. Okay,
- 43:26Speaker 1: so we're pretty much wrapping up with Rand's story. He's
- 43:29Speaker 1: gathering his forces, He's ordering them to return to Uh.
- 43:36Speaker 1: He's ordering them, He's ordering his forces from Tyr, from
- 43:40Speaker 1: ill from Ilian Uh to make their way to to
- 43:45Speaker 1: make their way to the field of Marillre. And Men
- 43:51Speaker 1: tells him more that She tells him more about how
- 43:54Speaker 1: Calendor has a deeper flaw, has even more deeper flaws
- 43:59Speaker 1: which and warns him to avoid using it. Ran takes
- 44:03Speaker 1: her uh Ran of course accepts what she's telling him.
- 44:08Speaker 1: And Ah but this that tells her that right now.
- 44:14Speaker 1: They'll worry about that later. They need to deal They
- 44:16Speaker 1: need to deal with several other loose threads in his plans,
- 44:20Speaker 1: particularly the large force of Borderlanders, the large Borderlander army
- 44:26Speaker 1: that's now taking up residence in the in the surrounding
- 44:29Speaker 1: lands of Far Matting now Far matt. The reason why
- 44:33Speaker 1: they had chosen Far Matting is because Far Matting is
- 44:36Speaker 1: a city that's protected by a powerful tarangreoal. This turangbrioal
- 44:42Speaker 1: simulates the effects of a steading, which basically it makes
- 44:46Speaker 1: the area completely devoid of the power of the source.
- 44:50Speaker 1: So any channelers that enters Far Matting or this, or
- 44:53Speaker 1: at least within two miles of the city of the
- 44:56Speaker 1: surrounding area of the city h they find that they
- 45:01Speaker 1: cannot reach for the source. It's as if the source
- 45:04Speaker 1: has just completely vanished. So the Borderlanders had gone to
- 45:10Speaker 1: that city for a reason because they wanted Rand to
- 45:12Speaker 1: come to them on even grounds without fear of Rand
- 45:16Speaker 1: just wiping them out, because they weren't sure if Rand
- 45:19Speaker 1: had gone mad, or if he was if he was
- 45:25Speaker 1: her ally, or even if he was the real Dragon reborn.
- 45:28Speaker 1: But Rand decides to Rand was going to originally go
- 45:32Speaker 1: see them, but since he was still dealing with the madness,
- 45:35Speaker 1: he refused to meet them at all, just out of
- 45:38Speaker 1: paranoia and fear. But now he decides to face them
- 45:41Speaker 1: and agrees to their terms. He speaks to the Borderlander
- 45:46Speaker 1: monarchs and it's funny. Each one of them goes up
- 45:53Speaker 1: to Ran and they ends up. They all four of
- 45:56Speaker 1: them smack him in the face, mainly just says, and
- 46:01Speaker 1: they begin questioning. They begin questioning Rand, asking him things
- 46:06Speaker 1: that while Rand himself wouldn't know, loose Thearren would and
- 46:13Speaker 1: Ran is able to answer them correctly, answer all those
- 46:16Speaker 1: questions correctly. And after answering them answering the questions correctly,
- 46:22Speaker 1: the Borderlanders stand down. They They tell them that according
- 46:27Speaker 1: to an old prophecy, they had to test Ran this
- 46:29Speaker 1: way to ensure that he was worthy to lead them. Yeah,
- 46:33Speaker 1: and after and after discussing more terms with them and
- 46:39Speaker 1: what they want, Ran offers to offers to create gateways
- 46:44Speaker 1: for them to send them back to the Borderlands in
- 46:46Speaker 1: exchange for their oaths. He also asks for a shineeran
- 46:52Speaker 1: to travel with him, because well, I'm sorry, let me
- 46:58Speaker 1: let me go back. He also asks to apologize to
- 47:02Speaker 1: one of the Shineerians because earlier particular shineran name Huron,
- 47:06Speaker 1: who he has traveled with before back in book two,
- 47:10Speaker 1: he had mistreated him in the previous book due to
- 47:13Speaker 1: his madness and paranoia, and he wanted to he wanted
- 47:16Speaker 1: to properly apologize for him. And at this point, Ran
- 47:27Speaker 1: has done everything he could to uh, he's done everything.
- 47:31Speaker 1: He's that he said he set out to do in
- 47:34Speaker 1: this book, to gather all of the all of his allies,
- 47:38Speaker 1: make new allies, make mentu men, bridges, bridges with other allies,
- 47:45Speaker 1: and so forth. And now it's time for everyone to
- 47:48Speaker 1: begin gathering at far at Far Matting. So this is
- 47:53Speaker 1: where Rand's story is going to end for the time being.
- 47:55Speaker 1: We'll see him again in book fourteen when the final
- 47:58Speaker 1: battle starts. Now, I will say this about Rand's story
- 48:02Speaker 1: in book fourteen. The first portion, I'd say the first
- 48:06Speaker 1: quarter or so, Ran will still be gathering several other
- 48:11Speaker 1: allies to him and mending and mending bridges and things
- 48:15Speaker 1: like that before finally setting off to Chilegal. Before he
- 48:19Speaker 1: does that, after he gathers everyone together, he's going to
- 48:22Speaker 1: present something to the people, to the gathered nations. I
- 48:28Speaker 1: won't tell you about it just yet. But this proposed,
- 48:32Speaker 1: this presentation is meant to bring, is meant to not
- 48:35Speaker 1: only tie all of the Westlanders together, but to ensure
- 48:39Speaker 1: a long standing piece well after Rand's death at Chile
- 48:44Speaker 1: Goal and I say death in quotations. So now we're
- 48:51Speaker 1: gonna go ahead and close out. We're gonna go over
- 48:53Speaker 1: a GWayne store, go back to Agwayne. I've talked a
- 48:56Speaker 1: little bit about her a little bit, but now we're
- 49:00Speaker 1: going to actually close out her story. So as of
- 49:06Speaker 1: right now, Igwayne is now trying to gather allies in
- 49:11Speaker 1: order to oppose Rant in his in his purported purported
- 49:15Speaker 1: plan to break the seals, because she fears that by
- 49:19Speaker 1: breaking the seals, it will allow the Dark One to
- 49:21Speaker 1: return to fully break free and destroy the pattern. And
- 49:29Speaker 1: while and also she while doing this, she's also dealing
- 49:32Speaker 1: with several other problems in the White Tower. Particularly she's
- 49:35Speaker 1: trying to figure she is trying to figure out a
- 49:38Speaker 1: way to weed out Massana, one of the last of
- 49:41Speaker 1: the Forsaken. By this point, guys, most of the Forsaken
- 49:44Speaker 1: are dead.
- 49:45Speaker 2: Yeah, gone gone.
- 49:46Speaker 1: There's less most less than half of the original Forsaken
- 49:50Speaker 1: are even there. There's all that's left is Mogedian Sindane,
- 49:56Speaker 1: who is the Reserve, who is the resurrected land Fear
- 50:00Speaker 1: Mordan who was a Shamel Grendall. Let me see hold
- 50:05Speaker 1: on I said, I said, uh, Mogedian Sindane, Mordon Grendall,
- 50:14Speaker 1: Demon Dred and Massana. So that's six of them left.
- 50:19Speaker 1: There's only six of them left, and they were thirteen
- 50:21Speaker 1: when this whole series started. They've been dropping left. They've
- 50:24Speaker 1: been dropping left and right like flies. So and also
- 50:31Speaker 1: Igwaine is uh Agwayne herself is upset with Gowen Gowan Rakhan,
- 50:41Speaker 1: who is the brother of Elaine. Gowen is Igwayne's lover.
- 50:48Speaker 1: She's he's the man that Agwayne he The two of
- 50:51Speaker 1: them have formed a close bond and relationship and Gowen
- 50:56Speaker 1: is the one that Igwaine wants to make into her order.
- 50:59Speaker 1: But as of right now, she's really pissed off with
- 51:02Speaker 1: him because she didn't like that he had come and
- 51:06Speaker 1: rescued her from the White Tower in the midst of
- 51:08Speaker 1: the Shawn Shan's attack, because in her eyes, she thinks
- 51:15Speaker 1: she sees it as him interfering with her plans as
- 51:18Speaker 1: well as not trusting her to do not trusting her
- 51:21Speaker 1: to be able to take care of herself, and she
- 51:24Speaker 1: needs to be not only to be able to put
- 51:26Speaker 1: her full trust in her warder, but she needs to
- 51:31Speaker 1: know that he will trust her to do her part
- 51:34Speaker 1: as well. So this is it's there's a bit of
- 51:38Speaker 1: back and forth between those two. They butt heads a
- 51:40Speaker 1: bit because Gowan justifies what he did as trying to
- 51:43Speaker 1: protect her and she says that he needs to learn
- 51:49Speaker 1: when not to. Basically needs to he needs to learn
- 51:52Speaker 1: to just to trust her and not baby and not
- 51:56Speaker 1: baby her or try to like do the whole Gallant
- 51:58Speaker 1: Knight in Shining Armor team because she's not some because
- 52:02Speaker 1: she's the ambulance seat, not some damsel in distress. But
- 52:10Speaker 1: Gallan takes upon himself to begin investigating murders that have
- 52:13Speaker 1: happened in the day in his he's he's taken upon
- 52:18Speaker 1: himself to help in the investigation of several murders that
- 52:20Speaker 1: have occurred in the White Tower. He believes that it
- 52:26Speaker 1: may these murders may have been done by a gray man.
- 52:31Speaker 1: These who are shadow creatures who they are they were
- 52:35Speaker 1: once people, but they have had their souls stripped from
- 52:38Speaker 1: their bodies, leaving behind nothing more than these like they
- 52:45Speaker 1: look like people. They work, they look like people, they
- 52:49Speaker 1: were once people. But they can easily. But they're really
- 52:53Speaker 1: good at shadow work assassinations because they can slip by
- 52:57Speaker 1: you without notice. Hell, gray men can like walk right
- 53:01Speaker 1: by a pair of guards and the guards won't even
- 53:03Speaker 1: notice them. They're not invisible, they just slip out of
- 53:05Speaker 1: your notice.
- 53:07Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 53:17Speaker 1: Now, Gowan argues with mcgwayne, saying that it must have
- 53:21Speaker 1: been a gray man that's doing this murders, but she
- 53:24Speaker 1: believes it to be Massana and Agwayne. Desperate to try
- 53:39Speaker 1: to figure out a gwayine whose brainstorming ideas and developing
- 53:44Speaker 1: a plan to weed out Massana, she calls a meeting
- 53:47Speaker 1: in the dream in telerond Riord with the wise ones
- 53:51Speaker 1: Amos and Bear. Now the two now, aside from talking
- 53:56Speaker 1: about weeding out reading out Massana from the White Tower,
- 54:01Speaker 1: she also wants to discuss ways of uniting all the
- 54:05Speaker 1: different channeling groups of channelers across the world. Now, she
- 54:11Speaker 1: didn't by uniting, she doesn't want to bring them under
- 54:14Speaker 1: the control of the Wise of the White Tower, but
- 54:17Speaker 1: she does believe that these different travel these different groups
- 54:22Speaker 1: of channelers need to be able to hold each other
- 54:25Speaker 1: account accountable, and they also need to come together and
- 54:30Speaker 1: exchange They should come together and exchange ideas because each
- 54:34Speaker 1: group has knowledge that the other two don't have. Because
- 54:37Speaker 1: right now there's only there's three other groups that she
- 54:39Speaker 1: wants to work with, the wise Ones and the wind finders.
- 54:45Speaker 1: The wise ones, as it turns the wise ones, as
- 54:48Speaker 1: it turns out, have knowledge of ancient weaves that they've
- 54:50Speaker 1: been preserving and keep and protecting for thousands of years.
- 54:54Speaker 1: Like uh, oh god, uh, what's her fucking name? What
- 55:05Speaker 1: is her fucking name? I keep forgetting her name? I
- 55:09Speaker 1: do not know who you're talking about. There's this one
- 55:12Speaker 1: really old and decrepit. Wise one oh old and decrepit.
- 55:18Speaker 1: You say, yeah, she's like Susan from has been Hotel.
- 55:27Speaker 2: Not Susan, not Susan, so.
- 55:34Speaker 1: Realia, that's her name, so real Yeah, yeah, Sorellia herself.
- 55:39Speaker 1: She's very weak in the one power, but she was
- 55:43Speaker 1: skilled enough of the wee Uh. She's skilled enough with
- 55:46Speaker 1: the power to have learned and to preserve the weave
- 55:49Speaker 1: of channeling. In fact, Cyrillia was the one who taught
- 55:53Speaker 1: Kat Sawayne how to travel the weaves for traveling now
- 55:57Speaker 1: so really herself couldn't use them. But I think, as
- 55:59Speaker 1: it turns out out many of the Wise Ones, uh,
- 56:02Speaker 1: part of their part of their purpose is to preserve
- 56:05Speaker 1: these weaves, maybe not to use them, but to keep
- 56:09Speaker 1: them alive, keep them from being forgotten to really it
- 56:13Speaker 1: teaches kat Swain. Elaine later learns from some of some
- 56:16Speaker 1: of the Wise Ones and how to use a weave.
- 56:19Speaker 1: It's a it's a weave like delving, except it's an
- 56:24Speaker 1: ultrasound weave. The Wise Ones use this this The Wise
- 56:29Speaker 1: Ones use this on Elaine to check to check the
- 56:32Speaker 1: health of her twins, because Elaine is currently pregnant with twins,
- 56:36Speaker 1: and uh, they use this weave to check on their health.
- 56:42Speaker 1: Now it's just like, ah, it's a it's a freaking
- 56:44Speaker 1: ultrasound weave. That's awesome.
- 56:48Speaker 2: It's kind of cool.
- 56:51Speaker 1: And aside from the Wise Ones, the wind Finders are
- 56:53Speaker 1: the have the most advanced forms of weather workings that
- 56:58Speaker 1: anyone has ever seen, like even the Forsaken like Ishamel,
- 57:05Speaker 1: have commented that the wind Finders are Their weather working
- 57:09Speaker 1: is so powerful that they can do things that the
- 57:12Speaker 1: people of the Age of Legends couldn't do, like in
- 57:15Speaker 1: the Age of legends to do the same things that
- 57:17Speaker 1: the wind finders can do. Now, they would need a
- 57:19Speaker 1: weather bowl, the tarangriial that allowed them to control the
- 57:22Speaker 1: weather just like and he's just like man. They don't
- 57:25Speaker 1: even need the weather bowl. They can do all that
- 57:27Speaker 1: and more. Yeah, So igwayne Uh talks about doing somewhat
- 57:39Speaker 1: of an exchange program where novice, where initiates of both
- 57:44Speaker 1: groups would be sent to each other's towers, so like
- 57:48Speaker 1: apprentices from the Wise Ones would be sent to study
- 57:50Speaker 1: with the would be sent to study in the White
- 57:54Speaker 1: towers so they can learn more advanced weaves, including things
- 57:57Speaker 1: like linking and healing weed and things like that, things
- 58:01Speaker 1: that the Wise Ones themselves don't know, while initiates from
- 58:05Speaker 1: the White Tower would be sent to study with the
- 58:08Speaker 1: Wise Ones, maybe not to so much as learn more
- 58:11Speaker 1: about the power, but rather learn a thing or two
- 58:14Speaker 1: about discipline and leadership, because the Wise Ones, unlike the
- 58:17Speaker 1: isid I, have a very strong have a much stronger
- 58:20Speaker 1: sense of justice, and a much greater sense of leadership.
- 58:25Speaker 1: They're more cool, head, cool and level headed, and they're
- 58:27Speaker 1: not ruled by things like pettiness and jealousy, which in
- 58:31Speaker 1: many cases the isid Eye are because the iside can
- 58:35Speaker 1: be pretty petty and they let things like politics in
- 58:38Speaker 1: their own personal vendettas get get the better of them.
- 58:42Speaker 1: Just look at it later, you know. It's at this point, Ninive.
- 58:54Speaker 1: It's at this point that Igwaine meets with Ninive as
- 58:59Speaker 1: well as uh. This is where she and Ninive come
- 59:02Speaker 1: to their agreement, come to their understanding and agreement, agreement
- 59:06Speaker 1: that Ninive needs to come to accept that that Agwaine
- 59:11Speaker 1: is now a leader and deserves and deserves and deserves
- 59:16Speaker 1: Nineve's respect, because Ninive still views Agwayne as that little
- 59:20Speaker 1: girl that she raised. Because as a wife, as the
- 59:27Speaker 1: wisdom of the of the Two Rivers, Ninive was often
- 59:30Speaker 1: was in a very high position, highly respected position, and
- 59:34Speaker 1: she was often in charge of keeping making sure that
- 59:36Speaker 1: the people were healthy, the children were disciplined and things
- 59:40Speaker 1: like that, and were educated and all that crap. And
- 59:45Speaker 1: Ninive often looked down on not just a Kwayne, but
- 59:48Speaker 1: on all of the emon Fielders that left the Two Rivers,
- 59:53Speaker 1: and still views and still viewed many of them as children.
- 59:56Speaker 1: But now she has to come to turn with the
- 59:57Speaker 1: fact that they're not children anymore and she can't treat
- 59:59Speaker 1: them like she used to, so now Ninive agree has
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: agreed to start referring to Agwaine as the honorific mother
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: because when a person who's holding the ambulance seat, she's
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: often referred to by the UH by the others as
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: mother UH. Elaine also arrives in Tel Randrio to speak
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: with Aguaine. Agwayne insists that since that both of them
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: returned to swear, to swear on the oath rod as
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: well as complete their testing. Elaine, I'm sorry. Elaine is
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: given a her test is deferred until further notice since
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: she's pregnant. They don't the test, being a very stringent process.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: They don't want to harm the harm the babies, but
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: they also need to do some more research on whether
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: or not wearing the oath swearing on the oath rod
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: would have an effect on Elaine's children. She reveals to
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: the Agwayne reveals to the two women of Rand's plan
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: to to break the seals, and while the other two
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: agree with her that this is excuse me, no, the
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: other two women don't exactly agree agree with a GWayne
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: that regarding the risks of breaking the seals. In fact,
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: they are more both are more leaning to to where
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: both are leaning more to seeing things from Rand's side.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: It's now, while Ninive agrees with Rand because she's heard
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: his reasonings, she was surprised that Elaine would also agree
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: as well. But because at this point neither women knew
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: that Elaine was pregnant just yet, just kind of taking
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: this step back while they were talking about this, none
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: of them really knew why Elaine like was acting more
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: like affectionate towards Rand, even though like Rand's behavior had
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: been somewhat erratic. And Ninia takes one look at Elaine,
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: looks at her stomach and she's like, you bititch, you're pregnant. Oh,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: Like she immediately calls and I'm like, yeah, there's that
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: was there's that wisdom for you. Oh no, you're pregnant.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: But while they're into the discussion, while they're discussing the
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: tests and what to do about Rand, the women are
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: attacked by several The women are attacked by several of
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: the Black Aja. Now three of them are Yeah, the
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: three of them are in Telerondrio, So this isn't all
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: taking place in the dream world. Agwayne had set wards
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: around around them because they had met in they had
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: met in the hall of the sitters in the White Tower,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: at least in the dream version of it, and she
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: had set wards around the hall so that to alert
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: her if anybody's listening in or if anybody's uh if
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: anyone's around, and one of her wards go off and immediately, Agwayne,
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: using her her her skills in the dream world, teleports
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: herself right behind Uh the Dark Sisters, catching them by surprise.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: She fields one of them, but the other one, who
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: is who it's revealed to be alvi Aarren, throws a
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: fireball at Agwayne, but Agwayine, being more skilled in the
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: dream world, just simply teleports behind al vi Aarren, and
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: her fireball ends up killing the other Black Asia sister, Damn.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: But before Agwayne could Uh could shield and trap al
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: vi Arren, al vi Arren disappears and vanishes. A GWayne
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: Uh searches the near surrounding area, and at one point
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: she thinks that she senses another channeler nearby, someone who's
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: much much more powerful than her, and she determines that
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: Massana must have been watching her, but for now they've escaped,
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: there's nothing more she can do about it. Igwayne later
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: meets with Chirene Ukyri and I'm sorry, I don't know
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: how to pronounce these names. I think they're like I
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: think they're like Gaelic. There's sayin Ukiri is easy to pronounce.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: But the other one is I think it's Chyene s
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: e a I n e m h. I think that's
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: supposed to be pronounced schayen. And the other one is Sayen.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: I think I don't know. Don't come for me. These
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: are hard names to pronounce. Anyway, She meets with these
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: these all three of them are sitters at the hall,
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: and she meets with them to discuss how to discuss
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: Massa on how she may have defeated the Black Uh,
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: how she may have somehow bypassed the oath rod because
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: they've already tested all the other women in the tower
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: and made every other and made every single sister in
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: the tower reswear the three oaths on the rod, and
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: since everyone passed the test, Masana somehow must have bypassed it,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: meaning that when it was her turn to take Uh
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: to swear the oath, she must have used like some
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: form of illusion to either make it look like she
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: swore on the oath or when she was swearing on
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: the oath Rod she was saying something else entirely while
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: what they heard was just the three oaths being sworn.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: So they they discuss it, try to figure out ways
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: to over to trap her and bring her and corner her.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: Mm hmmmm, and then uh, we've already We've already talked
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: about Nineve's tests. Agwayne was present for Nineve's tests and
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: was also one of these, one of the isidi overseeing
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: it and maintaining the power of the Tarangrial UH. She
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: herself threw some very some pretty difficult UH tests and
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: scenarios UH ninives way, mainly because since they know each
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: they've known each other from before entering the tower, Niu
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: Agwainne couldn't be seen showing Nineveh like difference or favoritism,
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: so she had to give her some particularly challenging UH scenarios.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: But those scenarios were still not as bad as what
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: the other sitters had given her, which nearly killed Ninive,
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: and Agwayne later does and UH later does admonish the
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: other those sisters, particularly for their their poor treatment of Ninive,
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: especially because right now they need to be working together
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: instead of against each other. They can't let those that
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: prejudice continue to hold sway over them. Yeah, so Nini,
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: so Igwayne decides to initiate her first plan for tracking
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: down the murderers, as well as trying to corner Messana first.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: She does this by first ordering Gowen to stay away
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: from guarding her door because Gowan had been lurking near
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: her rooms lately at night to protect to guard her,
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: to guard her while she sleeps, she tells. But she
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: orders him to stay away for this part, but he
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: returns anyway and gets in some but an encounter ends
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: up encountering an assassin. Uh. This assassin is dressed in
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: all black because of course, but he notices that he
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: can't exactly look directly at this assassin. It's almost as
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: if like every time he tries to focus on them,
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: he's like they they blend in way too easily with
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: the background. It's like something is obscuring his vision. Uh.
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: The assassin ends up fleeing, but leaves, but ends up
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: dropping the knife he was using. Gowan goes into Agwayne's
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: room to make sure she's okay and that no one
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: got pasted, but as soon as he goes through the door,
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: he's caught up in a in a trap set by
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: the using the one power, so he's he's bound with
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: air and he's just like left suspended there. A GWayne
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: herself is like pissed off because Galwan ruined her trap
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: and she and but Gowan himself is also angry because
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: she won't let him protect her. And at this point
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: he decides to like, fuck it, I'm leaving for I'm leaving,
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: so he decides to he gets he gets one of
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: the eyes that eye to open a gateway and he
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: goes back to Kinlin, which at first A GWayne is
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: a little upset by that, but she decides to let
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: it go for now because she has to focus on
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: on her duties. By this point, Agwayne had already sent
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: messages to all the rulers of the of the Westlands,
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: except for of course, the Shawn Shan, asking them to
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: support her in opposing Rand's plan to the U to
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: breaking the seals. She gets she gets a response from
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: the king from the new King of Tyr, King Darlin,
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: and while he is loyal, he says he is still
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: loyal to Ran, he still shares her concerns about breaking
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: the seals. She also learns that the Trullocks are invading
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: the borderlands, and she also but aside from that, she
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: learns that the Hall had had uh had called a
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: meeting without her and Agwayne. She's decided that she's tired
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: of the Hall trying to circumvent her, her and her authority,
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: and she's also she also she doesn't like that how
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: she was used as a puppet in Saladar when she
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: was still part of the rebel, when the rebels were
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: still the rebellion was still going through and through. She
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: felt like the Hall had done a really good job
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: at bullying her into do and declaring war on Alida
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: in the White Tower. So so going into the meeting,
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: she decides to sit in in the meeting and just
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: observe what's going on. And at one point she now
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: she's able to navigate the the conversation into calling a
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: vote the war in a to calling a vote on
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: how to evenly distribute the power between in the White Tower,
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: between the Hall and the ambulance seat. And the Hall
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: vote does agree to her vote, and they do vote
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: in favor of Igwayne giving the whole all control of
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: the White Towers Army, while she is given authority for
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: dealing with the monarchs. The thing is, though they didn't
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: realize that, that means that the Hall will not have
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: no authority in what and when it comes to dealing
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: with Rand, because since Rand is considered a monarch of
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: the of several Westlander countries, the Hall no longer can
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: make any decisions concerning what to do with Rand. It's
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: all left a GWayne, now, which had to say when
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: you read that when you read that scene is actually
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: how Agwayne maneuvered the Hall into agreeing to that was
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: just pure genius because now that just means that the
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: Hall can no longer interfere with the Ambulin when she's
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: dealing with the monarchs, because especially concerning the Dragon Reborn,
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: because many times in the past, the Hall has made
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: decisions behind the ambulance back, and these decisions have either
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: had some very costly consequences, or they have prevented the
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: Ambulin from from doing something actually really good, from doing
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: something that would have been beneficial. And the thing is
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: is that once this motion has passed and the Sitters
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: realize that they've basically just given a GWayne full authority
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: to do to handle Ren however which way she pleases,
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: Agwayne brings up a very good point to the Hall
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: and how they need to change how they do things
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: in the Tower. Mainly the Hall of the Sitters has
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: a very long history of doing things behind the ambulance
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: seats back. Now, the Amberlin is not while the Amberlin
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: maybe the ruling authority over the Isidai and the White
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: Tower the Hall. It's like the power difference is like
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: the difference between Congress and the President of the United States.
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: But think but the difference between, of course, our fictional
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: court here and our government's courts is that the US
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: court system has a system of a system of checks
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: and balances. So Congress can't can't pass a law, can't
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: just pass a law willy nilly, all right, the President
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: does have the authority to come in and veto any
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: new laws. While the same is uh. While the same
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: can be said if the President decides to make a decision,
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: Congress can put it to a vote and say no,
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: we don't want we're not gonna let you do that. Yeah,
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: but that doesn't exist in the White Tower a lot
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: of the times. Some uh, In many cases throughout their history,
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: there have been times where the ambulance seat has made
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: a decision, but then the but then the Hall of
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: the sitters decide either to just just ignore her decision
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: or do something else entirely. Oh and it's the same
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: with the ambulance seat. The Hall makes a decision and
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: the ambulance like, no, I'm gonna do something else, and
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: we're gonna do something else. And because they're both conducting
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: their own schemes and things like that, this often creates
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: scenarios where their plans and schemes end up meddling with
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: each other and preventing them from doing anything good. So
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: so GWayne calls to vote that to pass emotion that
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: the Hall can no longer meet in secret, because that's
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: what the Hall has done in the past, is that
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: they'll call secret meeting, make a vote, and basically take
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: a decision completely away from the Amberlin, like completely, and
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: often in many cases that often causes the Amberln to
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: be blindsided, and the most disastrous, in the most disastrous cases,
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: the Ambulin is overthrown and still, which when you think
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: about it, that's really shitty because like if the Amberlin
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: had made it had made a mistake, and the Hall
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: had made a mistake, or if there was some if
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: there was something that the Hall wasn't aware of, and
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: they decide, okay, well we don't like that the Amberlin
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: did this, so we're going to go ahead and just
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: impeach her. And the thing is is that when an
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: Amberlin is impeached, she isn't just like asked to politely
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: step down. No, she's she is removed from office, and
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: she is in more cases than not, stilled or her
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: power is completely stripped from her damn and it is extreme.
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: And in most cases the ambulance seat is not given
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: a chance to defend herself argue her case, and she's
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: stripped of her power permanently. So the motion of GWayne
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: Presents is that Presents is that the Hall of the
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: Servants can no longer meet in secret. They need to
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: meet with the ambulance Sea. Now the Ambulance Seat, of course,
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: can't just deny the meeting to happen in any case.
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: They if they call, if they're gonna call a meeting,
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: those meetings have to be declared. They can no longer
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: just say all right, like pass it along, we're meeting.
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: Don't let the amberline know like we're doing this in secret. No,
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: they need to come into they if they're gonna be
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: meet if the Hall is going to be called to order,
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: the ambulance seat needs to know because she has a
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: right to know what's what decisions are being made. Yeah, exactly,
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: just as the just as the Hall has a right
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: to know what the decisions of the ambulance because because
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: historically the Amberlin, her decisions are not considered secret, the Hall,
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: the Hall and the whole Tower basically will know what
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: decisions she makes. Now, of course, there are decisions she
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: can make that doesn't need her to that she doesn't
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: need to publicize, like she doesn't need to publicize every decision,
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: but still major decisions need to be UH need to
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: be made, Agwaine does. After this, Agwayne learns that that
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: Gwen had left for Camlin, and she worried. She does
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: send a message for him to come back, but for
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: the most part, he ignores her, and there is a
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: There is a moment where Gowan has a conversation with
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: with Elaine and Elaine does talk some sense into him
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: and he decides to go back to the White Tower,
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: and that will happen a little bit later. Agwaine continues
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: her plotting, continues to plot against Uh against Masana to
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: try to trap her, and they believe and the plan
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: that they come that they do come to involves using
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: the involves using the help of the wise ones, because
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: the wise Ones, like Agwaine in most cases, are dream
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: walkers and they have much more experience. She's using the
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: dream world, and they know for a fact that Massana
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: must be using the dream to roangreal to either enter
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: in her to either enter the dream world in her sleep,
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: or she's using the special weaves to enter the the
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: dream world physically. So the so they know for a
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: fact that so she knows for a fact, they know
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: for a fact that they're gonna confront Massana in the
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: dream world. That's their best option. So they need to
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: figure out a way to lure her there. Uh back
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: in Camelin. After talking with uh Elaine, Gowan decides to
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: return to Camlin, but his decision is further expedited when
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: one of them one of the captured Demane h. So,
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: when Ran confronted the Shan Shan several like a like
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: a like several months back, he had captured several Demaney
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: and sent them to Camlin to be rehabilitated. And the
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: isaid Eye and the Kin that we're working with them
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: have slowly been helping them to accept being released from
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: the from the Adam and helping them to like reclaim
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: their cell, their independence, their free their own sense of
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: self and will. One of them sees Gowen and saw
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: and sees that he was examining the knife that he
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: had taken from the assassin he fought, and she immediately
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: recognizes it as as a knife belonging to a form
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: of Sean Sean assassin called blood knives UH. They wear
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: the blood the blood lit The blood knives were a
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: special tarangraal ring that gives them the ability to hide
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: in the shadows, which is why when Gowan fought one
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: he could he couldn't really focus or look at one
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: look at them directly now UH. At first, Gowan doesn't
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: return U doesn't return to the city UH to Tarvalan
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: right away, instead deciding to stay to stay in Camlin
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: to get some space from Aguayne. But he does send
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: her a note to letting her know about the blood
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: knives and how there may be blood knife assassins in
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: UH hiding in Tarvalon. He doesn't know how many, but
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: that was more likely what he.
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: UH.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: What they're dealing with rather than gray Men or even
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: the Black Aja back until ron rio Agwaine meets with
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: meets again with the Wise Ones, and also the wind
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: Finders meetings with the wind When the wind Finders, like
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: anytime the wind Finders or the White or the ay
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: Eel are in like the same room with each other,
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: they're always biting at each other. And it's kind of
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: funny because like the wind Finders mock often mock the
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: Wise Ones and the Iel in general for being completely
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: landlocked and having no experience with like large bodies of waters,
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: while the wh the Ieel often mocked the wind Finders
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: for being a bunch of like like basically mocks them
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: for just only being like. They're only like defined the
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: definable trait or the only part of their personality is
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: the fact that they live in the sea, that their
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: entire like their entire lives are the sea and culture.
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: And in any case, uh Agwaine does make her proposal
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: to the Wise to both wise Ones and wind Finders
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: about sending each about doing an exchange between each group,
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: sending their apprentices to learn with each groups, like the
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: wind Finders and Wise Ones sending uh their apprentices to
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: the White Tower, while the White Tower sends their own
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: initiates to the wind Finders and the Wise Ones to
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: like to learn about their respective cultures, leadership, and advanced weaves.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: The wind Finders leave to discuss it and most likely
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: will return to discuss it in a form of a bargain,
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: like if we do this, you do this, things like
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: that there has to be an exchange of goods, and
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: things like that. The Wise Ones tell her that most
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: likely they will accept and agree. They would, they would
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: most likely agree
