- 0:12Speaker 1: Powered by Seahawks dot Com.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Matt pumpfakes looking at the gold line. He throws it
- 0:16Speaker 2: into the en zone.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Touchdown Seahawks.
- 0:19Speaker 2: It's Michael Buffas with a diving catching the end zone,
- 0:22Speaker 2: a ten yard touchdown reception for Bumpers, and the kid
- 0:26Speaker 2: out of Washington State has found himself a.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Place on this team. Now here's your host, Nasa Chobie.
- 0:33Speaker 3: Welcome into another edition of Hawk Talk, the Seahawks getting
- 0:36Speaker 3: ready to take on the Arizona Cardinals, second matchup with
- 0:39Speaker 3: them in the last three weeks. We are broadcasting from
- 0:42Speaker 3: the Seahawks Podcast Studio, presented by Sony, the official partner
- 0:46Speaker 3: of the Seattle Seahawks. Bump We're gonna kick this thing
- 0:49Speaker 3: off with some good news. Okay, always got good news. Today,
- 0:52Speaker 3: the Seahawks are bringing back U Chennan Nuosu. He's back
- 0:55Speaker 3: on the roster, coming off ir He's been one of
- 0:57Speaker 3: the best defensive players since he's been in Seattle. He's
- 1:00Speaker 3: had a tough go though this year. Right, Yeah, he
- 1:02Speaker 3: gets cheap shotted at the end of the last preseason game.
- 1:05Speaker 3: There's a flag on the play, hurts his knee. He
- 1:07Speaker 3: goes IR, comes back and then immediately gets hurt in
- 1:10Speaker 3: that first game. I believe it was a thigh injury
- 1:13Speaker 3: to put him back on IR. He's now back, he's
- 1:15Speaker 3: in the lineup, so I'm excited for him to be back.
- 1:18Speaker 3: What he can do to this defensive line group. Bump,
- 1:20Speaker 3: it could be scary.
- 1:21Speaker 4: It's nice, man, because the d line group is playing
- 1:24Speaker 4: at a high level already.
- 1:25Speaker 5: Right, So now you're like, you.
- 1:26Speaker 4: Know, you're sitting back, you're chilling, you're feeling the vibe.
- 1:29Speaker 4: Bottle White number ten is coming back, and we know
- 1:31Speaker 4: that he's an emotional leader, he's a baller.
- 1:33Speaker 5: I'm excited, and he doesn't need to be a hero.
- 1:35Speaker 5: That's what's most important.
- 1:36Speaker 4: You don't have to come in and have three or
- 1:38Speaker 4: four sacks and have an outstanding game.
- 1:40Speaker 5: You come in, listen to your body and just lead
- 1:42Speaker 5: these dudes.
- 1:43Speaker 3: No, it should be great. Anytime you add something like that,
- 1:45Speaker 3: that's like adding an All Pro Pro Bowl player. So
- 1:47Speaker 3: big ups to Chennan Wilks, who coming back. He also
- 1:49Speaker 3: is the Seahawks nominee for Walter Payton Man of the Year,
- 1:52Speaker 3: so big ups him for everything he does off the field.
- 1:55Speaker 3: But let's get into these Arizona Cardinals. What's on tap?
- 2:01Speaker 1: What's untap?
- 2:03Speaker 3: Cardinals bump six and six second place in the NFC West.
- 2:08Speaker 3: They've lost to the Bills, the Lions, the Commanders, Packers, Seahawks,
- 2:13Speaker 3: and Vikings. They did have a four game win streaking.
- 2:15Speaker 3: They're beating the Chargers, Dolphins, Bears, and Jets. They also
- 2:19Speaker 3: beat the Niners in the Rams. So but when you
- 2:22Speaker 3: look at this team, they've been up and down for
- 2:24Speaker 3: a while. We didn't know what to say about them.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Are they good? Are they bad? What's going on? Then
- 2:28Speaker 3: they win four games in a row. We start watching
- 2:29Speaker 3: the film. Tough game against Seahawks. They're a good football team.
- 2:32Speaker 3: They definitely good football team, and they for us, good
- 2:36Speaker 3: thing for us, but not for them. They were not
- 2:37Speaker 3: unable to pull it out against the Vikings last week.
- 2:40Speaker 4: Yeah, the Rams are a good squad. The last couple
- 2:41Speaker 4: of weeks they've turned the full ball over excuse me.
- 2:43Speaker 4: Cardinals thinking they've turned the football over and they haven't
- 2:46Speaker 4: been great in the red zone.
- 2:47Speaker 5: You do that, you kick field goals, You're gonna lose
- 2:49Speaker 5: ball games. But you're right.
- 2:50Speaker 4: Let's focus on their game against the Vikings. The Vikings
- 2:53Speaker 4: rally from a thirteam from thirteen points down to beat
- 2:56Speaker 4: the Cardinals twenty three to twenty three on Sunday night for.
- 2:59Speaker 5: Their fifth straight victory. I would say big ups.
- 3:02Speaker 4: Vikings were in the same conference, so y'all can chill,
- 3:05Speaker 4: but it helped us out on the division.
- 3:06Speaker 5: Though the game came down to the wires the wire.
- 3:09Speaker 4: The Cardinals took the lead twenty two to sixteen with
- 3:12Speaker 4: three minutes and twenty seconds left in the game after
- 3:14Speaker 4: a sixteen play sixty six yard drive that ended up
- 3:17Speaker 4: with a Chad Ryland field goal. Trailing by six, Sam
- 3:20Speaker 4: Donald took the football and led the Vikings on their
- 3:22Speaker 4: hate played.
- 3:23Speaker 5: My dude, I've been talk about them all year. Man,
- 3:25Speaker 5: give him some talent.
- 3:26Speaker 4: A play seventy yard drive ended with a five yard
- 3:29Speaker 4: touchdown and Aaron Jones that made the score twenty three
- 3:33Speaker 4: to twenty two. Sam Donald, I've been saying this for years.
- 3:36Speaker 4: Put him around some talent and some things are gonna happen.
- 3:39Speaker 4: I love the old heads balling this year.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Hey, yeah, he's back. He's got these boys ten and two,
- 3:43Speaker 3: you know. To finish that game though, Bump Donald did
- 3:46Speaker 3: his thing and Kyler Murray did have a chance at
- 3:48Speaker 3: the end of that game, got the ball back and
- 3:49Speaker 3: minute thirteen seconds on the clock, but it was eventually
- 3:51Speaker 3: picked off by former Seahawks Shaquille Griffin that ended the game.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Cardinals lose. Murray. He's had interesting couple weeks. He finished
- 3:58Speaker 3: the day thirty one to forty five, two hundred and
- 4:00Speaker 3: sixty yards, one touchdown, two interceptions, forty five times in
- 4:04Speaker 3: the football. I don't think it is Kler Murray's game.
- 4:06Speaker 5: It's a bit much.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Not that he can't do it, throw it through the air.
- 4:09Speaker 3: I just think that's too much for what they want
- 4:10Speaker 3: to do, especially being a top ten rushing attack. James
- 4:12Speaker 3: Conner let all ball carriers with sixty eight yards and
- 4:15Speaker 3: seventeen carries. Trey McBride, dude, we're gonna talk about that boy.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Twelve receptions for ninety six yards.
- 4:20Speaker 5: Still ain't touched in zone. Though still ain't touched.
- 4:23Speaker 3: In Yeah, so he does have one touchdown rushing it's
- 4:26Speaker 3: a rushing touchdown, and he got one off a fumble,
- 4:28Speaker 3: but through the air zero, which is pretty.
- 4:30Speaker 5: Wild, it is.
- 4:32Speaker 3: But then the Vikings, now they got the second best
- 4:34Speaker 3: record in the NFC, only trill the Lions by one game.
- 4:37Speaker 3: As much as we've talked about the Lions all season,
- 4:39Speaker 3: the Vikings are pretty good too. They are coming to
- 4:41Speaker 3: lum Midfield in a couple of weeks, so we'll definitely
- 4:43Speaker 3: be ready for that matchup. But Cardinals, they're in first
- 4:45Speaker 3: place two weeks ago and now they are not setting
- 4:48Speaker 3: up a crucial game with the Seahawks. It's definitely big
- 4:51Speaker 3: in the standings to go either way for the Seahawks
- 4:53Speaker 3: or the Cardinals. But Bump, when you look at his
- 4:55Speaker 3: head to ad match up, what stands out to you?
- 4:57Speaker 4: All right, let's look at the numbers head to head off,
- 5:00Speaker 4: you got the Seahawks sixteenth overall, the Cardinals are eleventh.
- 5:03Speaker 4: When it comes to running the football, the Cardinals took
- 5:05Speaker 4: a step back. Last time we saw them. They were
- 5:07Speaker 4: fifth overall. There now sixth averaging one hundred and forty
- 5:10Speaker 4: one per game. The Hawks are twenty eighth, averaging eighty
- 5:13Speaker 4: eight yards per game. When it comes to pass offense,
- 5:15Speaker 4: the Hawks are number two, two hundred and fifty yards
- 5:17Speaker 4: through the air. Then the Cardinals are twenty second, two
- 5:20Speaker 4: hundred and five yards through the air. I don't know
- 5:21Speaker 4: if that's a lot or a little, but it seems
- 5:23Speaker 4: like forty five yards is a lot to separate number
- 5:26Speaker 4: two from number twenty two.
- 5:28Speaker 5: Just my opinion. Don't know what history says.
- 5:30Speaker 4: All right, points per game, the Hawks are fifteenth, averaging
- 5:32Speaker 4: twenty two points per game, and then the Cardinals are
- 5:35Speaker 4: right behind them seventeenth, averaging twenty two points per game.
- 5:38Speaker 5: Pretty even on offense.
- 5:40Speaker 4: If you just switched the run game in the pass game,
- 5:43Speaker 4: it's like, Okay, you're pretty even everywhere else, but when
- 5:45Speaker 4: it comes to running pass, there you go.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Yeah, each team clearly has a strength, at least when
- 5:50Speaker 3: it comes to the box score. Here Seahawks passing, Cardinals running,
- 5:53Speaker 3: So that'll be a different thing that stands out. Moving forward, defensively,
- 5:56Speaker 3: it's pretty close. Seahawks are climbing out. What I love
- 5:59Speaker 3: is to see under twenty. Right, the Seahawks are now
- 6:01Speaker 3: eighteenth in total defense. For a while, Bump we were
- 6:04Speaker 3: doing this, they are twenty eight. Yeah, twenty nine bottom
- 6:06Speaker 3: of the map, so they're definitely making strides there. The
- 6:08Speaker 3: Cardinals just above them at seventeenth rush defense, the Seahawks
- 6:12Speaker 3: are climbing there too. They're still allowing one hundred and
- 6:14Speaker 3: twenty seven yards per game, twenty first in the NFL.
- 6:16Speaker 3: They've been really good the last four weeks. Cardinals little
- 6:19Speaker 3: above them as well, allowing one hundred and seventeen yards
- 6:22Speaker 3: on the ground. That's thirteenth in the NFL. Pass defense.
- 6:25Speaker 3: The Seahawks are twelfth in the NFL allow on two
- 6:27Speaker 3: hundred ten yards and the Cardinals are eighteenth allowing two
- 6:29Speaker 3: hundred and seventeen yards. They're right there on points per
- 6:32Speaker 3: game allowed, Seahawks is on twenty two. They're allowing twenty
- 6:35Speaker 3: one points per game. The Seahawks, though, definitely they've been
- 6:40Speaker 3: sacked more times forty to twenty one, so that's a
- 6:43Speaker 3: little bit. It's a little bit more, and the Seahawks
- 6:46Speaker 3: have been penalized a lot more than the Cardinals, but
- 6:48Speaker 3: the Seahaws have been really good in a lot of
- 6:49Speaker 3: those categories as of late, so definitely should be a
- 6:53Speaker 3: fun matchup. By the numbers, so these teams are pretty
- 6:55Speaker 3: close the last three games.
- 6:56Speaker 4: The Hawks have the number six defense overall last three games.
- 7:00Speaker 4: I think their top twelve when it comes to score them. So, yes,
- 7:04Speaker 4: you have to look at who they've been over the
- 7:05Speaker 4: duration of the season. That's what these numbers are. But
- 7:07Speaker 4: if you break down the last three games, man, they're
- 7:10Speaker 4: playing at a high level.
- 7:11Speaker 3: Yeah, should be fun. I think they want to continue
- 7:13Speaker 3: playing that, so we'll see that goes coming into this matchup.
- 7:16Speaker 3: Broadcasting live from the Seahawks Podcast Studio presented by Sony,
- 7:19Speaker 3: the official partner of the Seattle Seahawks Bump and I
- 7:22Speaker 3: feel like we just played these guys.
- 7:24Speaker 5: It feels familiar.
- 7:25Speaker 3: Yeah, let's know the history.
- 7:27Speaker 1: No, your history.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Yes, it was less than three weeks ago Seahawks took
- 7:33Speaker 3: on these same Arizona Cardinals. Overall, the Seahawks lead the
- 7:36Speaker 3: all time series twenty eight to twenty one, and the
- 7:38Speaker 3: Hawks have won six in a row in seven of
- 7:41Speaker 3: the last eight.
- 7:42Speaker 5: Okay, I like that.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Doing that thing against the Cardinals for sure. And last
- 7:46Speaker 3: game it was. It was a hard fought win. It
- 7:48Speaker 3: was a great win by the Seahawks. They didn't really
- 7:51Speaker 3: they did enough offensively when they had to down the stretch,
- 7:54Speaker 3: sated the other thing. They won sixteen to six. Obviously,
- 7:56Speaker 3: the biggest play in that game was Kobe Bryant's pick six,
- 7:59Speaker 3: which got him Defense Player of the Week. Huge play
- 8:02Speaker 3: in that game, Seahawks called time out to play before
- 8:04Speaker 3: Evan's all up in arms. Next play, Devin withersmon force
- 8:08Speaker 3: is a bath throw from Calamarray, Kobe Bryant runs it back,
- 8:10Speaker 3: you know the rest of the deal. And then in
- 8:12Speaker 3: that game, the Seahawks, when they absolutely needed it most,
- 8:14Speaker 3: didn't have a great game offensively, but they did have
- 8:17Speaker 3: a thirteen play, forty nine yard drive that took eight
- 8:19Speaker 3: minutes off the clock in the fourth quarter. In the
- 8:21Speaker 3: Seahawks hold on to win that game sixteen to six.
- 8:24Speaker 3: So the defensive showed up. So it's gonna be interesting
- 8:27Speaker 3: to see if that's gonna be similar game down in
- 8:29Speaker 3: the Desert coming up, and I'm excited for it to
- 8:32Speaker 3: see what Leonard Williams, the Big Cat can get done
- 8:34Speaker 3: against these guys.
- 8:35Speaker 4: I feel like that game was, you know, you proved
- 8:37Speaker 4: it against the Rams, like all right, the defense is
- 8:39Speaker 4: doing some things. But then theirs on A Cardinals come
- 8:42Speaker 4: into town and they just made it official, like we
- 8:44Speaker 4: are here.
- 8:45Speaker 5: We understand we are moving. Then you handle the Jets.
- 8:48Speaker 4: But it's so weird playing a team twice in three weeks,
- 8:51Speaker 4: like not a lot has changed. You can literally go
- 8:53Speaker 4: to the Scotten Report and say, Okay, this is who
- 8:55Speaker 4: they are, guys, ain't too much change.
- 8:57Speaker 5: But let's look at this Bikings film. So it should
- 8:59Speaker 5: be a good one.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean you can only I mean you're not.
- 9:01Speaker 3: You can roll out a couple other little wrinkles things
- 9:03Speaker 3: like that, but you kind of are who you are
- 9:05Speaker 3: at this point. You put out a lot of film
- 9:06Speaker 3: this point in the year, so should be interesting to see.
- 9:08Speaker 3: But let's check in and the rest of the NFCUS
- 9:10Speaker 3: what's the.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Word and the Seahawks or the NFC West champs again.
- 9:19Speaker 3: What's the word?
- 9:20Speaker 4: In the west On Hawk top the NFC West. You
- 9:24Speaker 4: can look at this division in two ways. It's either
- 9:27Speaker 4: the most competitive division in all the game or you're saying,
- 9:30Speaker 4: what the heck is going on over there?
- 9:32Speaker 5: Why there's so many losses? I don't care.
- 9:34Speaker 4: Seahawks at the top seven and five of this division,
- 9:37Speaker 4: Cardinals right behind them six and six, and the Rams
- 9:39Speaker 4: are six and six in the San Francisco forty nine
- 9:42Speaker 4: is at the bottom at five and seven. Now, they
- 9:45Speaker 4: were technically already in first place, but the Seahawks are
- 9:48Speaker 4: now all by themselves. They got a one game lead
- 9:51Speaker 4: over the Cardinals and the Rams with with a win
- 9:54Speaker 4: on Sunday, it's essentially becomes a three game lead on
- 9:58Speaker 4: the Cardinals. The Rams have to play the Bills on Sunday,
- 10:00Speaker 4: bless you, and the Seahawks have a huge opportunity to
- 10:04Speaker 4: be in the driver's seat for a home playoff game
- 10:07Speaker 4: come January.
- 10:08Speaker 5: I love this game. I love I love it. I
- 10:11Speaker 5: like the ups and the downs.
- 10:13Speaker 4: I like the the moves being made by teams, the
- 10:16Speaker 4: schemes being tweaked. Right, this is this is what football
- 10:19Speaker 4: is all about, no question about it.
- 10:20Speaker 3: This point in the year, I mean a couple of
- 10:22Speaker 3: weeks ago, a month ago, it was it was the
- 10:23Speaker 3: end of the world. At the end of that Rams game,
- 10:25Speaker 3: it was that feeling. And just a couple of weeks later,
- 10:28Speaker 3: man in the NFL bump winning cures all though.
- 10:30Speaker 4: Sure it was great, all right, so let's focus on
- 10:34Speaker 4: these Niners. They played the Bills and it didn't look good.
- 10:38Speaker 4: I've never played in snow, I have practiced in snow.
- 10:42Speaker 4: It looked horrible. The Niners didn't look comfortable. The Bills
- 10:46Speaker 4: were like this, this is what we do. It's like
- 10:48Speaker 4: a regular Tuesday for us. What are you guys talking about?
- 10:50Speaker 4: But it was a lot. It was a lot when,
- 10:52Speaker 4: like I mentioned, one team looked like they were preparing
- 10:54Speaker 4: for a stretch run of the season deep into the playoffs.
- 10:57Speaker 4: We talking about the Bills. The Bills look like a
- 10:59Speaker 4: well oiled machine. They were good to go. They're at home.
- 11:03Speaker 4: The stadium they're building. Is it gonna be covered? Are
- 11:05Speaker 4: they keeping it outside? They better cover that thing in Buffalo.
- 11:08Speaker 3: They're not. They're not renderings. They're gonna They're gonna have
- 11:10Speaker 3: it where a lot of the fans are covered. But
- 11:12Speaker 3: like that feels still gonna be exposed. They want that
- 11:14Speaker 3: home for the vantage. All right, are the first half
- 11:17Speaker 3: of all Bills in this game. They led out twenty
- 11:19Speaker 3: one to three.
- 11:19Speaker 4: They had a sixty five yard touchdown run by James
- 11:22Speaker 4: Cook looking fast in the snow man tiptoeing on that thing,
- 11:25Speaker 4: and at ninety seven yard touchdown driving the forty nine
- 11:28Speaker 4: Ersmiths two field goals.
- 11:30Speaker 5: Moody is the kicker's name. I believe he had. It
- 11:32Speaker 5: was in a bad mood the four nine.
- 11:33Speaker 4: His only chance to get back in the game was
- 11:35Speaker 4: on the first drive of the second half. It was
- 11:38Speaker 4: first and goal from the Buffalo four yard line, but
- 11:40Speaker 4: the Niners fumbled and that was that.
- 11:43Speaker 3: Yeah, when you looked at it, just didn't look comfortable.
- 11:45Speaker 3: They looked like they were practicing in seventy five degree
- 11:48Speaker 3: weather all week and showed up there. And now, granted
- 11:50Speaker 3: they didn't have Nick Bosa. Yep, I think that had
- 11:52Speaker 3: Trent Williams. They're totally banged up. Party came back. But
- 11:55Speaker 3: when you looked about those teams, one team looked like
- 11:57Speaker 3: they want to be their one team. Yeah, and it
- 12:00Speaker 3: was a beat down. And I'm and this isn't me
- 12:02Speaker 3: throwing shape. The Bills are a really good football team. Yeah,
- 12:04Speaker 3: we saw what happened. We saw it first up close
- 12:06Speaker 3: and personal. The Bills are good football see alive. I
- 12:10Speaker 3: would love to play them again, though, the way this
- 12:12Speaker 3: event is playing, I promise you would not look as
- 12:14Speaker 3: bad as it did.
- 12:15Speaker 5: But it won't be thirty one to ten, that's for sure.
- 12:17Speaker 3: No, And well, things got a little worse though for
- 12:20Speaker 3: the Niners. We happened Christian McCaffrey Jordan Mason. Yeah, on
- 12:25Speaker 3: I ar, that's tough.
- 12:27Speaker 4: That's their season. That's their season in the nutshell. You
- 12:30Speaker 4: get guys back, you're getting healthy. Maybe there's a chance
- 12:32Speaker 4: and then they get banged up. But to lose your
- 12:35Speaker 4: number one and your number two is unfortunate. I thought
- 12:38Speaker 4: it was going to be a reaggravation of the maybe
- 12:40Speaker 4: the Achilles when it came to McCaffrey ended up being
- 12:43Speaker 4: a PCL. Did you see the slow motion of it happen? Man,
- 12:46Speaker 4: So unfortunate, big as Christian McCaffrey. He's had a good
- 12:51Speaker 4: season or good, good career up to this point and
- 12:53Speaker 4: just just not as year.
- 12:54Speaker 5: Man, so good healthy and get back.
- 12:56Speaker 3: Yeah, and well their thirst string running back Grendo is
- 12:59Speaker 3: actually pretty god.
- 12:59Speaker 5: Oh yeah a seventy six yard against Yes.
- 13:01Speaker 3: He did, and I don't forget that anyway. But yeah, no,
- 13:04Speaker 3: they're there. We'll see what happens there. But I'm just
- 13:06Speaker 3: with everything that's happened there, it feels like it's just
- 13:09Speaker 3: so round end of the road and we can say
- 13:11Speaker 3: whatever you want. They're not playing again this year. Yeah,
- 13:13Speaker 3: there's that elsewhere in the division, the Rams, in the Saints,
- 13:16Speaker 3: it's the only one that didn't go the Seahawks way.
- 13:19Speaker 3: The Saints were able to stay in the fight. They
- 13:21Speaker 3: played this they played hard. Four and seven ball club
- 13:24Speaker 3: gave the Rams all they could handle. They were up
- 13:25Speaker 3: six zero at halftime, but two fourth quarter touchdowns by
- 13:29Speaker 3: Matthew Stafford was a difference. Trailing twenty one fourteen under
- 13:32Speaker 3: two minutes left, the Saints drove all the way inside
- 13:35Speaker 3: the Rams ten yard line, but were stopped on fourth
- 13:37Speaker 3: and three when Derek Carr's pass was deflected by Jared Verse,
- 13:40Speaker 3: who's a baller.
- 13:41Speaker 5: Baller.
- 13:42Speaker 3: Rams hold on for the win. Knen Williams had one
- 13:44Speaker 3: hundred and four rushing yards on fifteen carries in a touchdown.
- 13:47Speaker 3: Puka and de Marks Robinson Eith had each had touchdowns.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Stafford pedestrian fourteen to twenty four one eighty three, two touchdowns,
- 13:54Speaker 3: no interceptions. Kamara had one hundred and twelve yards and
- 13:57Speaker 3: twenty three carries for the Saints. Saints did it was
- 14:00Speaker 3: tasting hell for the season with the torn acl So.
- 14:03Speaker 5: He just got paid to was it this year he
- 14:05Speaker 5: got paid or last year?
- 14:06Speaker 3: I think it was last. Either way, he's got money.
- 14:09Speaker 5: He just got his money.
- 14:10Speaker 3: Unfortunate for them, but right now. I mean, it's back
- 14:13Speaker 3: to the division standings. The Rams aren't going away, so
- 14:17Speaker 3: I would love and this is just kind of pieing
- 14:18Speaker 3: this guy for me. I would love for that Week
- 14:20Speaker 3: eighteen matchup to not matter.
- 14:23Speaker 5: I'm serious, roll up like whatever.
- 14:26Speaker 3: I want the Seahawks to just going to run. I
- 14:28Speaker 3: hope on the day after Christmas, this is my Christmas miracle.
- 14:31Speaker 3: The Seahawks are beating down the Chicago Bears, whether the
- 14:35Speaker 3: snow's coming down, all that stuff, and they're locking up
- 14:38Speaker 3: the division title that night.
- 14:39Speaker 5: I like it.
- 14:40Speaker 3: Granted, that would mean they'd have to be two games
- 14:42Speaker 3: better than the Rams. A lot of things got to
- 14:43Speaker 3: happen for that.
- 14:44Speaker 4: So have you taken your family to see Santa yet?
- 14:48Speaker 4: I have not, So when you do, whisper to Santa.
- 14:51Speaker 4: I got I got baby girl, I got her gifts.
- 14:54Speaker 3: I need you. Yes, yes, I'm all for that. Saks
- 14:57Speaker 3: can wrap up division title means we're playing football and
- 15:00Speaker 3: womenfield in January all four. But let's get back to
- 15:03Speaker 3: these Arizona card knows. Man up, Hey, who you got,
- 15:06Speaker 3: who you got? You know what time it is?
- 15:08Speaker 5: Man up?
- 15:08Speaker 1: Man up, brother, man up, man up on Hawk Talk.
- 15:13Speaker 3: But Kyler Murray. Coming to the last matchup, Kyler Murray
- 15:17Speaker 3: was playing some of the best football of his career
- 15:19Speaker 3: and it wasn't close. He was the reigning Offensive Player
- 15:21Speaker 3: of the Week. You get twelve touchdowns to just three
- 15:24Speaker 3: interceptions and two hundred and seventy six attempts. Last two
- 15:27Speaker 3: weeks haven't been as good. Okay, I've been a little
- 15:29Speaker 3: bit of struggle. Two game losing streak. He's thrown three
- 15:31Speaker 3: interceptions and attempted more passes than he's had all season,
- 15:34Speaker 3: so he's had a season hind attempts back to back weeks,
- 15:37Speaker 3: thirty seven against Seahawks forty five against the Vikings. He's
- 15:40Speaker 3: also been sacked six times in the last two weeks,
- 15:43Speaker 3: five of those coming in the Seahawks game. Previous six games,
- 15:46Speaker 3: he'd only been sacked five times, So overall, they're doing
- 15:50Speaker 3: a good job protecting Kyle. They've only given up twenty
- 15:52Speaker 3: one sacks, which is six in the NFL. He ranked
- 15:54Speaker 3: six in completion percentage. He also has the highest QBR
- 15:57Speaker 3: in the season overall stats fifty eight, six hundred three yards,
- 16:02Speaker 3: thirteen touchdowns, six picks. Also has four hundred and twenty
- 16:06Speaker 3: yards and four touchdowns on the ground, so bub when
- 16:08Speaker 3: you look at Kyler, what's the key to get him stopped?
- 16:12Speaker 3: Because he's played some really good football last couple weeks.
- 16:14Speaker 3: He's been sacked a lot, and he's turning the football over.
- 16:17Speaker 3: What's the key to continuing this streak for Kyler?
- 16:20Speaker 4: Well, he is one of the most athletic qbs in
- 16:23Speaker 4: the game. And I was sitting there talking to Dave Wyman.
- 16:25Speaker 4: He brings up a good point, he said, you got
- 16:27Speaker 4: a bull rush. He goes going underneath and over the top.
- 16:30Speaker 4: It allows Kyler to kind of see what's going on
- 16:32Speaker 4: and find those lanes and to go. Kyler Murray running
- 16:35Speaker 4: the football is kind of like when a shooter is
- 16:38Speaker 4: off and he needs to see the ball go through
- 16:40Speaker 4: the net.
- 16:40Speaker 5: What do you do.
- 16:41Speaker 4: You get to the free throw line, you see the
- 16:43Speaker 4: ball go through the net, You find your rhythm. That's
- 16:46Speaker 4: what I feel like a scramble does for Kyler Murray.
- 16:48Speaker 4: He finds the lane, either he runs or he throws
- 16:51Speaker 4: the football. It gets him back into his rhythm. Easier
- 16:54Speaker 4: said than done. Contain him. What do you have like
- 16:56Speaker 4: nine rush yards against the Seahawks the first time? Yeah,
- 16:59Speaker 4: I doubt he's going to be held to just nine.
- 17:01Speaker 4: But you can't have those explosives. Hey, let's let's do
- 17:04Speaker 4: that and not let Trey McBride. But did he have
- 17:06Speaker 4: a buck fifty five against the Seahawks the first time around? Yeah,
- 17:10Speaker 4: something crazy like that. They understand you're gonna take something away.
- 17:12Speaker 4: But let's not let McBride just go nuts like he
- 17:14Speaker 4: did last time.
- 17:15Speaker 3: Yeah, no question about it, And I'll read his staff
- 17:17Speaker 3: for the first matchup. It was twenty four to thirty
- 17:19Speaker 3: seven to eighty five, no touchdowns, one pick that was
- 17:22Speaker 3: pick six, and two carries for nine yards. So he
- 17:26Speaker 3: if the seawkson repeat, it looks pretty good. Holding out
- 17:29Speaker 3: to six points pretty good.
- 17:29Speaker 4: If he throws the ball forty times, I'm good with
- 17:32Speaker 4: that because that means the run ain't there.
- 17:34Speaker 5: And when you put the ball in the air like that,
- 17:35Speaker 5: bad things tend to happen.
- 17:37Speaker 4: That's why he had two interceptions last game against the Vikings.
- 17:41Speaker 5: Let's look at our quarterback.
- 17:42Speaker 2: G No.
- 17:43Speaker 4: Smith had another solid game twenty of thirty one, two
- 17:46Speaker 4: hundred and six yards and one touchdown, but no turnovers
- 17:50Speaker 4: come on son first time he had been turnover free
- 17:53Speaker 4: since Week seven against the Falcons. Gino's looking to continue
- 17:56Speaker 4: his dominance against the Cardinals. Since becoming the starter in
- 17:59Speaker 4: twenty He's five and zero against az He's one hundred
- 18:04Speaker 4: and two for one forty eight that's sixty eight percent
- 18:06Speaker 4: completion percentage, eleven hundred and thirty four yards, seven touchdowns,
- 18:10Speaker 4: three interceptions. Last game against these guys, he was twenty
- 18:13Speaker 4: two or thirty one two fifty four, one touchdown, one interception.
- 18:17Speaker 4: Coming into this game against the Cardinals, Geno still needs
- 18:20Speaker 4: one three hundred yard passing game to ty Russell Wilson
- 18:22Speaker 4: for the most three hundred yard passing games in a
- 18:24Speaker 4: single season in franchise history with five. Right now, Gino's
- 18:28Speaker 4: in fifth place in franchise history in attempts, completions, passing yards,
- 18:33Speaker 4: and passing touchdowns.
- 18:35Speaker 5: He got sixty six of them. Things.
- 18:36Speaker 4: Man, I like Gino. I like where he is. Last week.
- 18:41Speaker 4: He was responsible with the football. He puts together a drive.
- 18:44Speaker 4: I don't know if we can qualify that as a
- 18:46Speaker 4: game winning drive, but it it set things up all right.
- 18:49Speaker 4: He put his team in position and win. He just
- 18:51Speaker 4: needs to be the guy that we've seen over the
- 18:53Speaker 4: past few weeks. I like where he is. He's gonna
- 18:55Speaker 4: need some help in the run game, obviously, But he's
- 18:58Speaker 4: doing all right.
- 18:58Speaker 5: Man.
- 18:58Speaker 4: Through eleven weeks in the NFL, he's third in passing yards,
- 19:01Speaker 4: fifth in completion percentage, second in completions, second in attempts.
- 19:05Speaker 3: Yeah, he's there his thing, and the most important thing
- 19:07Speaker 3: you said there was taking care of the football. You know, honestly,
- 19:10Speaker 3: for me, you've said it, You've described I've heard you
- 19:12Speaker 3: describe it for years. If he's thrown about twenty five
- 19:15Speaker 3: to thirty times for two fifty couple touchdowns, that's the
- 19:18Speaker 3: perfect game because that means we're balanced or running the football,
- 19:21Speaker 3: we're doing different things, and we got to get the
- 19:23Speaker 3: run game going. For the Seahawks team, definitely, they're close
- 19:26Speaker 3: the guy to get it done against his Cardinals team.
- 19:28Speaker 3: So we'll see what happened there. Speaking of the running
- 19:31Speaker 3: games and running backs, James Connor, now we got a
- 19:34Speaker 3: break down their rushing attack because it is one of
- 19:36Speaker 3: the best in the league. James Connor himself having a
- 19:39Speaker 3: great year. He's got seven hundred and seventy three yards
- 19:41Speaker 3: on the ground, fifteenth in the NFL. He's already got
- 19:43Speaker 3: four games three he's rushed row for one hundred yards.
- 19:45Speaker 3: Cardinals three and one in those games. And honestly, if
- 19:48Speaker 3: guys like Sakuon and Derrick Henry weren't having these resurgent
- 19:52Speaker 3: years coming back, we probably been talking about a guy
- 19:54Speaker 3: like James Connor Moore. But those guys have really taken
- 19:56Speaker 3: all the shine for running backs this year, rightfully, So
- 19:59Speaker 3: I'm not saying that they earned it, but I'm just
- 20:01Speaker 3: saying Connor is a good back. Twenty twenty four marks
- 20:04Speaker 3: the fifth time in his career where he's posted a
- 20:06Speaker 3: thousand scrimmage yards, fourth time he's done that in four seasons.
- 20:09Speaker 3: In Arizona Cardinals talking about their whole team rushing attack,
- 20:13Speaker 3: obviously you include Kyler Murray and that they've rushed for
- 20:16Speaker 3: sixteen ninety seven twelve touchdowns on three hundred and thirty carries.
- 20:20Speaker 3: They're averaging five point one year for per carry. Arizona
- 20:23Speaker 3: sixth in the NFL and rushing and second in the
- 20:26Speaker 3: NFL and rushing average at five point one at carry.
- 20:28Speaker 3: So they're doing the thing and facing the Vikings, who
- 20:31Speaker 3: were number one rush defense in the league. They had
- 20:33Speaker 3: a pretty good game. They rushed one hundred and fifty
- 20:35Speaker 3: four yards on thirty one carries, more than double rushing
- 20:38Speaker 3: yards the Vikings were allowing per game at seventy four.
- 20:41Speaker 3: So they did that against the number one rushing defense.
- 20:45Speaker 3: So that again reminds you that they're a good football
- 20:47Speaker 3: team at running boss what they do. But hold on
- 20:50Speaker 3: a minute, what happened last time the Seahawks shut them down.
- 20:54Speaker 3: James Conner probably had the worst game in his NFL career. Okay,
- 20:58Speaker 3: he was held to just seven yards pump.
- 21:02Speaker 5: That's nuts.
- 21:03Speaker 4: I mean, that's a typle that ain't really sorry, eight
- 21:06Speaker 4: yards on seven carries.
- 21:09Speaker 5: That makes sense.
- 21:09Speaker 3: Now give you the one. There you go now and
- 21:11Speaker 3: James Gunner can do the thing. And the Seahawks held
- 21:13Speaker 3: them to forty nine yards rushing as a team. So
- 21:16Speaker 3: the Seahawks have the blueprint. It'll be really interesting to
- 21:18Speaker 3: see what they do schematically offensively to try to figure
- 21:21Speaker 3: some stuff out, because they just got dominated up front.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Lennard Williams, boy Mafe, all the guys were getting in
- 21:28Speaker 3: on the action. So we'll see if the seahawksin have
- 21:29Speaker 3: an equal performance up front.
- 21:32Speaker 5: Equal will be great somewhere near that.
- 21:34Speaker 4: Yeah, Alex Sequel might be a little greedy greed And
- 21:37Speaker 4: you mentioned their run game against the Vikings, They just
- 21:40Speaker 4: do a good job implementing their tight ends in their
- 21:43Speaker 4: run game, right, whether they're on the wing, pulling a
- 21:45Speaker 4: guard in a tight end, another tight end in the
- 21:48Speaker 4: backfield leading the charge as a fullback, something that we've
- 21:50Speaker 4: seen the Hawks try to do. Their gap scheme is great,
- 21:53Speaker 4: which allows Kyler Murray to run that RPO system, influence
- 21:57Speaker 4: the backers and throw the football they got to going.
- 21:59Speaker 5: I had a check and make sure I wasn't tripping.
- 22:02Speaker 4: I'm watching the film and I'm thinking the Vikings are
- 22:04Speaker 4: great against the run. Maybe I misremembered that, but no,
- 22:08Speaker 4: you're right, man, Vikings won the best against run and
- 22:10Speaker 4: the Cardinals handled them when it came to that.
- 22:12Speaker 5: Still lost the game, but ran the football. All right.
- 22:15Speaker 4: Let's look at another matchup, Trede McBride, Marvin Harrison junior
- 22:18Speaker 4: against that secondary man. Coming into this year, most of
- 22:21Speaker 4: the attention was on Marvin Harrison. He's the son of
- 22:24Speaker 4: a Hall of famer, he has that pedigree, went to
- 22:28Speaker 4: Ohio State University wide receiver. You were thinking, all right,
- 22:31Speaker 4: he's gonna be great, and he has been good. Leads
- 22:33Speaker 4: the team in touchdowns with seven of them. Things, But
- 22:35Speaker 4: Trey McBride. He's been great. But I see. I knew
- 22:38Speaker 4: this though because I watched I watched college football Colorado State,
- 22:41Speaker 4: and when they drafted him, I go, you guys better
- 22:44Speaker 4: watch after this young man. So far this year, he
- 22:46Speaker 4: leads the team in receptions with seventy three yards with
- 22:49Speaker 4: seven hundred and eighty one. He's one of the best
- 22:51Speaker 4: tight ends in the games right now, second amongst tight
- 22:54Speaker 4: ends when it comes to receiving yards and third when
- 22:56Speaker 4: it comes to receptions. McBride has at least five receptions
- 23:00Speaker 4: eight of eleven games played in twenty twenty four. Only
- 23:04Speaker 4: Brock Bauers has more production than that. And Brock is
- 23:08Speaker 4: a good, good ball player, and you can play. He's
- 23:10Speaker 4: a different kind of tight end. You see Brock play.
- 23:12Speaker 4: He moves a bit different. But McBride can do his thing.
- 23:14Speaker 4: McBride has two one hundred yard performances this season and
- 23:17Speaker 4: four in his career.
- 23:20Speaker 5: This young man can go.
- 23:21Speaker 4: Not only is he deceptively quick, he can move a
- 23:24Speaker 4: little bit, but he's he's a great blocker, and that
- 23:27Speaker 4: is influences defense. I was talking to what's I talking
- 23:30Speaker 4: to Stacy Ross and I said once aj Barner is
- 23:33Speaker 4: just a dominant blocker. His pass numbers are going to
- 23:35Speaker 4: go up to because he's a key linebacker. Safety is
- 23:38Speaker 4: thy keen on tight ends at times and say, all right,
- 23:40Speaker 4: what's he doing down blocking?
- 23:41Speaker 5: Boom? Okay, I'm gonna play the run.
- 23:43Speaker 4: And now you slip him out in the flat or
- 23:45Speaker 4: an over route and he's wide open. I think that
- 23:47Speaker 4: is what helps Trey McBride get the ball and he's
- 23:50Speaker 4: wide open sometimes.
- 23:51Speaker 3: Well you mentioned that, Yeah, it's definitely your run key.
- 23:54Speaker 3: If you're looking at him, your eyes come off and
- 23:55Speaker 3: now you're in trouble.
- 23:56Speaker 5: Yep.
- 23:57Speaker 3: And he gave the Seahaws trouble. The Seawks shut the
- 23:59Speaker 3: Cardinals down last week or two weeks ago, but him
- 24:02Speaker 3: specifically was a problem. And here's the thing, man. In
- 24:06Speaker 3: Week twelve against the Hawks, he alled in twelve receptions
- 24:08Speaker 3: for a season high one hundred and thirty three yards.
- 24:10Speaker 3: He followed that up with twelve receptions ninety six yards
- 24:13Speaker 3: against the Vikings. With those two outings, McBride came the
- 24:16Speaker 3: first tight end in the history of the National football
- 24:20Speaker 3: with twelve receptions and back to back games.
- 24:22Speaker 5: Crazy.
- 24:23Speaker 3: So, yeah, he's doing his thing. To your point, he's
- 24:27Speaker 3: a complete nightmare. Coach McDonald spoke about it a lot
- 24:30Speaker 3: this year that like he unfortunately was on the receiving
- 24:33Speaker 3: end of his coming out party last year when he
- 24:34Speaker 3: was defensive coordinator of the Ravens, so he knows what
- 24:37Speaker 3: this guy can do. He still had a great game
- 24:39Speaker 3: the first time, so it'll be interesting to see how
- 24:41Speaker 3: the Seahawks kind of account for that bump. And at
- 24:44Speaker 3: some point, if you're shutting Connor and Murray down of
- 24:46Speaker 3: the run game, you can't stop everything. If McBride gets
- 24:50Speaker 3: out a couple times, it's not gonna be into the world.
- 24:51Speaker 5: Yeah, now you're not stressing it.
- 24:53Speaker 4: Like even the first time they played, when McBride did
- 24:57Speaker 4: have his his day, the defense was like, look, we
- 24:59Speaker 4: got to give something. We're gonna shut down the run.
- 25:02Speaker 4: I guess we'll give it up to the big boy,
- 25:04Speaker 4: all right. Finally, we finally get to talk about the
- 25:06Speaker 4: number four pick in the draft, Marvin Harrison, who's having
- 25:09Speaker 4: himself a good season as well. He's first when it
- 25:12Speaker 4: comes to TV receptions on this team with seven. He's
- 25:15Speaker 4: tied for second when it comes to one hundred yard
- 25:18Speaker 4: games with two. He's fifth in receiving yards six hundred
- 25:21Speaker 4: and six and tied for fifth in receptions with forty one.
- 25:26Speaker 5: He came in polished and ready to go.
- 25:29Speaker 4: I think the struggle with him were the off field stuff,
- 25:31Speaker 4: trying to get his deal done with fanatics and finding
- 25:35Speaker 4: his way into this offense. And it's been a rough
- 25:38Speaker 4: transition for him, but you can see he's starting to
- 25:41Speaker 4: settle in.
- 25:41Speaker 5: Man.
- 25:42Speaker 4: He leads all rookies the season with seven touchdown receptions
- 25:46Speaker 4: and tied for six in the NFL. Overall, he's the
- 25:49Speaker 4: cardinals second leading receiver and he's doing it. He settled in.
- 25:53Speaker 4: He has a nice relationship with Kyler Murray. He had
- 25:54Speaker 4: a big game we had with three or four touchdowns
- 25:56Speaker 4: one game. He's going to be just finding this league.
- 25:59Speaker 3: Yeah, those are two guys you're gonna have to shut down.
- 26:01Speaker 3: And looking at the Seahawks secondary, the confidence they're playing
- 26:05Speaker 3: with right now, Julian Love, Kobe Bryant, Devin Witherspoon, Rieg
- 26:08Speaker 3: Woolan is having a lot of quiet, really good football games.
- 26:11Speaker 3: Then you add in you know, different things that we're
- 26:13Speaker 3: doing in all these packages. I feel good about it.
- 26:15Speaker 3: Ray Seon Jenkins coming in, I like, I think they're
- 26:18Speaker 3: up for the challenge, especially the Seahawks twelve in passing
- 26:21Speaker 3: defense a line just two hundred and ten yards per game.
- 26:23Speaker 3: So I like what we're doing there. Broadcasting live from
- 26:25Speaker 3: the Seahawks podcast Too to You, presented by Sony, the
- 26:27Speaker 3: official partner of the Seattle Seahawks. In this NFL season,
- 26:31Speaker 3: feel every play, every hit, every moment with the Sony
- 26:33Speaker 3: one thousand XM five noise canceling headphones, the official headphones
- 26:37Speaker 3: of the Seattle Seahawks, but premium noise cancelation. You're in
- 26:41Speaker 3: the zone, no distractions, just pure football, whether you're in
- 26:44Speaker 3: you a living room or on the go. You'll never
- 26:46Speaker 3: miss a beat with Sony Headphones. Bump, We'll take it
- 26:49Speaker 3: to the last matchup here. Seahawks receivers DK Jayson Tyl
- 26:53Speaker 3: Lockett taken on Buddha Baker in this secondary jssen Week
- 26:58Speaker 3: after week after week, stacks stack Stack. Coach McDonald talks
- 27:01Speaker 3: about stack and wins. Jayson has been stacking weeks. He's
- 27:04Speaker 3: been killing the game. During weeks nine through twelve, Jason
- 27:08Speaker 3: has three hundred and sixty seven yards, which third most
- 27:10Speaker 3: in a three gamespan in franchise history. Jaysn leading the
- 27:13Speaker 3: Seahawks in receptions yards and receiving touchdowns. He's eleventh in
- 27:17Speaker 3: the NFL and it comes receiving yards at eight twenty nine,
- 27:19Speaker 3: ninth in the NFL, and comes receptions at seventy. He
- 27:22Speaker 3: needs just one receiving touchdown to set a career high.
- 27:25Speaker 3: He also needs just one hundred and seventy one yards
- 27:27Speaker 3: for his first career one thousand yard season, and he'd
- 27:31Speaker 3: only be the tenth receiver in the history of the
- 27:33Speaker 3: Seahawks will do that. So once you start doing that,
- 27:35Speaker 3: you're in some special company. He's ready to set a
- 27:37Speaker 3: singles season high and receiving yards and reception. So jaysn
- 27:41Speaker 3: doing his thing. I expect him to continue to do
- 27:43Speaker 3: what he's been doing all year.
- 27:44Speaker 4: Yeah, keep rolling, and they're designing plays to get him
- 27:46Speaker 4: the football. That's how you know they're loving what he's
- 27:48Speaker 4: doing at practice in the film room obviously on Sundays.
- 27:52Speaker 5: Keep feeding this young man. DK. He's back.
- 27:54Speaker 4: His production slowed down a little bit, right, fiften receptions
- 27:57Speaker 4: and one hundred and ninety five yards in three games.
- 28:00Speaker 4: He hasn't been lighting it up, but he's had some
- 28:02Speaker 4: crucial catches man last week, a couple crucial catches. He's
- 28:05Speaker 4: averaging fifteen point three yards per reception, which is seventh
- 28:09Speaker 4: in the NFL.
- 28:09Speaker 5: That lets you know that he is a deep philed threat.
- 28:12Speaker 5: He might not.
- 28:13Speaker 4: Get the deep ball, the deep reception, but he's putting
- 28:15Speaker 4: pressure on those safeties. Hola at DK fifty receptions, seven
- 28:19Speaker 4: hundred and sixty three yards and three touchdowns on the year.
- 28:23Speaker 5: What about Tyler, Man? What you seen out of Tyler?
- 28:26Speaker 2: Oh?
- 28:26Speaker 3: Tyler still Tyler. It's just I think the way things
- 28:29Speaker 3: of shaking out with the mergens of JSN and DK
- 28:32Speaker 3: and different things that we're doing. And the offense has
- 28:34Speaker 3: played okay, they haven't had long possessions, they haven't dominated
- 28:38Speaker 3: on the score. So Tyler's his production has slowed down
- 28:41Speaker 3: a little bit this year. He's not having a bad
- 28:42Speaker 3: year by any means. Forty receptions, five hundred eleven yards,
- 28:45Speaker 3: two touchdowns. He's he's second every single category in infu
- 28:50Speaker 3: yea like, he's him his standing here. He's a Ring
- 28:53Speaker 3: of honor guy. And that's that's all established, said and done.
- 28:56Speaker 3: But the crazy thing is last three games, Tyler's only
- 28:59Speaker 3: had seven receptions for fifty five yards and zero touchdowns.
- 29:03Speaker 5: Wild it is.
- 29:03Speaker 3: It is because we've seen that in a half however,
- 29:06Speaker 3: many times, so it'll be interesting to see what Tyler
- 29:09Speaker 3: is able to do the next couple of weeks. I
- 29:11Speaker 3: know he is due for a big time performance because
- 29:15Speaker 3: he's just too good to do that. So I would
- 29:16Speaker 3: love to see him get involved a little bit in
- 29:18Speaker 3: the past game this weekend. We've seen him do damage
- 29:20Speaker 3: against these Cardials before. We've seen him now and get
- 29:22Speaker 3: a two hundred yard game a couple of years ago,
- 29:24Speaker 3: So we've seen it. We now get his I'm excited
- 29:27Speaker 3: to see hopefully Tyler can kind of get back and
- 29:29Speaker 3: do what we're used to seeing from him.
- 29:31Speaker 5: Yeah, Tyler, he's he's due for a game and why
- 29:34Speaker 5: not this week?
- 29:35Speaker 3: Why not?
- 29:35Speaker 4: And why not do it against the Washington native Buddha Baker.
- 29:39Speaker 4: As much as you don't want to like him because
- 29:41Speaker 4: he plays on a different team, you like him. Respect
- 29:43Speaker 4: This dude man obviously went to Bellvy, went to you
- 29:46Speaker 4: Dub and now is a top three safety in the
- 29:49Speaker 4: league this year one hundred and fourteen tackles. It's second
- 29:53Speaker 4: amongst dvs and six in an NFL overall. This will
- 29:57Speaker 4: be This is his fifth one hundred yard our one
- 30:00Speaker 4: hundred tackle season, Buddha Baker. He flies around, he plays big,
- 30:03Speaker 4: he's not very big. He will blitz from depth ten
- 30:06Speaker 4: to twelve yards and get to your quarterback.
- 30:08Speaker 5: It's ridiculous.
- 30:09Speaker 4: The intensity and just awareness that he plays with you
- 30:14Speaker 4: hardly see on the football field and he's doing it
- 30:16Speaker 4: against the best in the world.
- 30:18Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 30:18Speaker 3: Their color analyst Ron wolf Ley joined the pregame show
- 30:20Speaker 3: last time he played them, and he talked about his
- 30:22Speaker 3: motor and how you will get his stature of his size.
- 30:25Speaker 3: I'm bigger than Budda Baker. Yeah, but they're like when
- 30:27Speaker 3: you're on that team and you feel like if this
- 30:29Speaker 3: guy is throwing his neck out there for everything, like
- 30:31Speaker 3: I have no excuse, none at all. And he's just
- 30:33Speaker 3: the energy he plays with. We've seen that. If you're
- 30:35Speaker 3: familiar with but Baker, you watched him a lot of that.
- 30:38Speaker 3: So he's the guy at the Seahawks offense definitely needs
- 30:40Speaker 3: to know where number three he's at on the field.
- 30:42Speaker 3: But we've come to that time of the show. Let's
- 30:44Speaker 3: tell you how the Seahawks run and get it done again.
- 30:46Speaker 3: Pat the victory.
- 30:48Speaker 2: At the forty five waits for the staff packet.
- 30:51Speaker 5: Vicky puts it down that kick is away.
- 30:53Speaker 2: If that kick is gone, good, say aw quinn fit gun.
- 30:58Speaker 1: It's a test to victory. On Hawk Talk, we know what.
- 31:01Speaker 3: It is, bump. We started the show talking about it.
- 31:03Speaker 3: The Seahawks have an amazing opportunity to take control of
- 31:06Speaker 3: the NFC West with a win on Sunday, and it's
- 31:10Speaker 3: pivotal bump because you win this game, you have the
- 31:12Speaker 3: tiebreaker over Arizona and you essentially create a three game
- 31:16Speaker 3: lead over them, and it's just checking off boxes, kind
- 31:19Speaker 3: of making up for a gaff against the Rams during
- 31:21Speaker 3: the year early against the forty nine ers. So they
- 31:23Speaker 3: have a huge opportunity on Sunday to really take control
- 31:26Speaker 3: and we can really start thinking about hosting a playoff
- 31:30Speaker 3: game in January.
- 31:31Speaker 5: Come on, come on. And it's not on accident. It's
- 31:36Speaker 5: been mayrining.
- 31:37Speaker 4: The defense has been molding and starting to figure out
- 31:40Speaker 4: what McDonald wants since Week nine. This defense, they're fifth
- 31:44Speaker 4: in the NFL in points allowed seventeen point five, fifth
- 31:47Speaker 4: when it comes to yards allowed, right on the three
- 31:49Speaker 4: hundred and fifth when it comes to yards per game,
- 31:53Speaker 4: rush shards per game eighty four and six when it
- 31:55Speaker 4: comes to first downs allowed eighteen point eight come on now,
- 32:00Speaker 4: who you've been since week nine?
- 32:02Speaker 3: Yeah, and honestly it's more of the same. I mean,
- 32:04Speaker 3: how are we gonna do it? What we talked about
- 32:05Speaker 3: the first matchup? What did you do? You shut down
- 32:07Speaker 3: Kyler Murray? You gotta swaw him down. You gotta contain
- 32:10Speaker 3: be really disciplined in how you rush that man. We
- 32:12Speaker 3: talked about it earlier, talked about bull rush and interior
- 32:15Speaker 3: up front, fade that pocket down. If you're someone likes
- 32:18Speaker 3: spoon and you're gonna blitz them blitter at the right angle.
- 32:20Speaker 3: Having all the speed that Spoon has definitely helps with that.
- 32:23Speaker 3: But no, keep forcing them into bad decisions right If
- 32:26Speaker 3: they're gonna throw the ball that many times, he's bound
- 32:28Speaker 3: to have a couple of interceptions. He had a crazy
- 32:29Speaker 3: street coming into it, has turned the ball over the
- 32:31Speaker 3: last couple couple weeks. So that's a big thing there.
- 32:34Speaker 3: And then you got to stop the run. It's a
- 32:36Speaker 3: tall task asked to stop them the way you did
- 32:38Speaker 3: last time again on the road, but you need a
- 32:41Speaker 3: similar effort, maybe not forty nine yards, but they definitely
- 32:44Speaker 3: can't have a resurge into what they did yet last
- 32:46Speaker 3: week against Minnesota.
- 32:47Speaker 5: No more McBride.
- 32:48Speaker 4: He will make some plays, but come on, twelve receptions,
- 32:51Speaker 4: let's limit that.
- 32:53Speaker 5: I'll take eight. I'll take seven.
- 32:54Speaker 3: Go at this for forty eight.
- 32:56Speaker 4: Yeah, and offensive line, let's see your thing. Some changes
- 33:00Speaker 4: on that offensive line. Guys are getting healthy. Maybe you
- 33:02Speaker 4: put together another good game, but the offensive line, we're
- 33:06Speaker 4: still winning. For that massive run game to get going,
- 33:09Speaker 4: it is there, it is close.
- 33:10Speaker 5: I believe in you. Let's get that going.
- 33:13Speaker 3: Come on, need it, we need it. It's gonna happen
- 33:16Speaker 3: the last couple of weeks when they really need to
- 33:18Speaker 3: get a couple of run successful plays. They've had it,
- 33:20Speaker 3: so it's definitely there. It can be had. The Seahawks man,
- 33:23Speaker 3: a win here can really get you in good position
- 33:25Speaker 3: for the NFC West title. That's gonna do it for us.
- 33:27Speaker 3: Remember you could catch us anywhere serious XM YouTube on

- 33:38Speaker 3: getting you ready for hopefully a Seahawks win against the
- 33:40Speaker 3: Cardinals on Sunday. We'll be back with you on Monday,
- 33:43Speaker 3: breaking it all down. This has been Hawk Talk
