- 0:20Speaker 2: was on the Bachelorette with, somebody I was a roommate with,
- 0:23Speaker 2: somebody that I've gotten to see throughout the years and
- 0:25Speaker 2: seen their life change. And now there's a big change
- 0:29Speaker 2: in his life.
- 0:30Speaker 3: He's going to be a dad. And who we're talking
- 0:32Speaker 3: about is Sean Booth. He is about to get on
- 0:36Speaker 3: the podcast right now and we can't wait to hear
- 0:38Speaker 3: about how he's prepping for fatherhood and about his new podcast,
- 0:43Speaker 3: which is called In the Booth.
- 0:45Speaker 2: You may know Shan Booth from The Bachelorette. You may
- 0:48Speaker 2: know him as a This One's funny fitness guy who
- 0:52Speaker 2: owns a gym and nast fitness guy, Big fitness guy.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Sean Booth, the host of In the Booth, is officially
- 0:58Speaker 2: with us here at the Almost Famous Podcast. Welcome back, Buddy, No,
- 1:01Speaker 2: thank you guys, thanks for having me excited to talk
- 1:03Speaker 2: with you as always and uh yeah, excited to be here.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Sean, what do you want to talk about? First? Your podcast,
- 1:11Speaker 3: your baby on the way, anything from your personal life,
- 1:14Speaker 3: you know, because we're going to dive into all of it.
- 1:16Speaker 4: Yeah, what do you want to talk about? Akley?
- 1:18Speaker 2: I I I want to start with the podcast.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Ben's that's like, I will not let Ashley start here.
- 1:25Speaker 3: She's gonna get to headline me too early.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Yeah, this will take ten minutes. She's gonna be like,
- 1:31Speaker 2: all right, when did it happen? How did you?
- 1:33Speaker 3: How did you do it?
- 1:34Speaker 2: Tell us about the evening how much and we'll be done.
- 1:37Speaker 2: But Sean, you are the host of Now in the
- 1:40Speaker 2: Booth that launched how many weeks ago?
- 1:42Speaker 4: A couple of weeks ago? Right? Month? Ten episodes in
- 1:45Speaker 4: so a few months now?
- 1:48Speaker 2: Okay, we've been doing it now for going on seven years,
- 1:53Speaker 2: maybe over seven years. The almost famous podcast has been
- 1:56Speaker 2: moving and groove and it's been a great experience in
- 1:58Speaker 2: my life. Ashley would have to if it has for
- 2:00Speaker 2: her or not. What are you most excited about when
- 2:04Speaker 2: it comes to kind of entering into podcasts.
- 2:08Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm loving just having meaningful and deep conversations with people.
- 2:14Speaker 5: It's something that takes me away from, you know, the
- 2:17Speaker 5: gym life, which I put so much time and energy into.
- 2:21Speaker 4: It's something where.
- 2:21Speaker 5: I can get away for hour, hour and a half,
- 2:24Speaker 5: meet with interesting people, hear their background, hear their stories,
- 2:27Speaker 5: and most formally, just have some fun.
- 2:29Speaker 4: So it's been a great time.
- 2:31Speaker 5: It's also challenging, which I like, and something to kind
- 2:34Speaker 5: of push me into something different.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Why podcasting, Like, what made you think, like, after all
- 2:40Speaker 3: these Bachelor alums have launched podcasts, how you were going
- 2:44Speaker 3: to make yours different?
- 2:45Speaker 4: Yeah, because I'm not going to talk about the bacheler
- 2:47Speaker 4: every episode. Yeah, so that's.
- 2:51Speaker 2: You're missing out there.
- 2:52Speaker 6: Yeah, but I do realize that I do talk a
- 2:56Speaker 6: lot about my experience because obviously, you know, it's a
- 3:00Speaker 6: big part of my life, a big part of where
- 3:03Speaker 6: I came from.
- 3:04Speaker 4: People, as you know, are always interested.
- 3:06Speaker 5: In here in the background and the nitty gritty of
- 3:08Speaker 5: things with the Bachelor and Bacheorette, So that part is fun.
- 3:12Speaker 5: But I also want to have conversations with people from
- 3:15Speaker 5: all different walks of life, and we had on like gymnasts, artists,
- 3:19Speaker 5: all types of different people.
- 3:22Speaker 2: And when you're looking for guests, I mean, obviously here
- 3:25Speaker 2: this is a bachelor focused podcast. It has been for
- 3:28Speaker 2: seven years. A lot of our guests are coming through
- 3:29Speaker 2: the show or have been on the show. When you're
- 3:33Speaker 2: looking at guests, who are you trying to identify as
- 3:36Speaker 2: somebody that you'd want to come on?
- 3:39Speaker 5: Yeah, So first off, it's kind of been friends and
- 3:41Speaker 5: luckily here in Nashville, a lot of people live here,
- 3:45Speaker 5: so I like having people in studio as much as
- 3:48Speaker 5: we can. So right now, it's also tough to not
- 3:53Speaker 5: have like on a country artist every episode, and that's
- 3:56Speaker 5: what we're trying not to do. But like I said
- 4:00Speaker 5: on Johnson Olympian, so hearing her background story of how
- 4:03Speaker 5: she competed at such a high level at such a
- 4:05Speaker 5: young age and how she was able to handle that pressure.
- 4:08Speaker 4: And then Walker Hayes.
- 4:09Speaker 5: How he went from literally working at Costco to overnight
- 4:14Speaker 5: going to platinum selling artists and nominated for the Grammy.
- 4:17Speaker 4: So it's for me, it's.
- 4:18Speaker 5: Looking at people and their stories, Like I'm very interested
- 4:22Speaker 5: in their stories and what they went through, what they
- 4:25Speaker 5: had to overcome to kind of get to where they
- 4:27Speaker 5: are now.
- 4:29Speaker 3: Has your gym allowed you to make connections with these people?
- 4:32Speaker 3: And then make it easy to invite them to come on.
- 4:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, I guess we've had them in the
- 4:38Speaker 4: gym before.
- 4:40Speaker 5: But like as you guys know, a lot of events,
- 4:42Speaker 5: charity events and things like that, you run into the
- 4:44Speaker 5: same types of people.
- 4:45Speaker 4: So that's kind of where we started off with reaching out.
- 4:47Speaker 5: To them, and now that we're able to grow it
- 4:49Speaker 5: and getting a good amount of people to listen, we
- 4:51Speaker 5: can start using that and getting more different guests on.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Well, obviously you've brought up your gym, give us an
- 5:00Speaker 2: update there, you know, I've obviously been in for a workout.
- 5:04Speaker 4: Crushed me.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Ashley knows that I am a fitness guru myself.
- 5:10Speaker 3: He laughs, but he's he's slightly smiling as if it's
- 5:13Speaker 3: kind of a joke. But the man is training for
- 5:15Speaker 3: a triathlon, so he's pretty athletic. And I was with
- 5:18Speaker 3: him on Bachelor Winter Games where he killed every event
- 5:21Speaker 3: I did.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Didn't push ups in a row at one time. It's impressive, Sean,
- 5:27Speaker 2: how's the gym going, I mean, if that's been a
- 5:30Speaker 2: massive project for you and a massive undertaking, Yeah.
- 5:34Speaker 5: It's finally getting to the point where we're we can
- 5:38Speaker 5: expand and right now we're moving locations, and we're in
- 5:42Speaker 5: a current spot, like you said, the spot you've been in,
- 5:44Speaker 5: it's three thousand square feet. We're building out a whole
- 5:47Speaker 5: new gym that's eleven thousand square feet, going to be
- 5:51Speaker 5: tall where we can do large group fitness, small group fitness,
- 5:54Speaker 5: personal training. That's going to be like the hub, the
- 5:57Speaker 5: headquarters for BC. As we start announcing other cities that
- 6:02Speaker 5: we are going into this coming year. So it's a lot,
- 6:05Speaker 5: a lot all at once. It seems like, I feel
- 6:08Speaker 5: like that's how life goes sometimes. But yeah, we're excited.
- 6:11Speaker 5: We put a lot of heart, energy, tears, blood, sweat
- 6:15Speaker 5: into it for five years and now we're taking this
- 6:18Speaker 5: thing to the next level.
- 6:19Speaker 3: Sean Jared jokes all the time about how you were
- 6:23Speaker 3: when you went onto the show a real estate agent
- 6:28Speaker 3: and then like all of a sudden, they kind of
- 6:30Speaker 3: put the label of trainer on you, and then you
- 6:32Speaker 3: took it and ran, is this true?
- 6:34Speaker 5: I had I had my personal training certification, so I
- 6:37Speaker 5: was doing like one on one training and also doing
- 6:40Speaker 5: real estate on the side, and then they and I
- 6:43Speaker 5: also work for insurance company full.
- 6:45Speaker 4: Time, soerence was my full time job.
- 6:47Speaker 5: And then I had real estate license and personal training,
- 6:51Speaker 5: and then they, I guess, decided that insurance wasn't a
- 6:54Speaker 5: sexy enough title to put on there. So I was like, yeah,
- 6:57Speaker 5: I joke with Jared, like all right, personal trainer, here
- 6:59Speaker 5: we go.
- 7:01Speaker 2: But they thought software salesman was really sexy.
- 7:05Speaker 4: They really want to.
- 7:07Speaker 2: You know, obviously, Sean, you still are in real estate.
- 7:11Speaker 2: We see it on your Instagram. Are you still practicing?
- 7:13Speaker 2: Are you still selling?
- 7:15Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 7:15Speaker 4: I do that on the side.
- 7:16Speaker 5: I've got a great business partner for that, who's able
- 7:18Speaker 5: to handle the day to day stuff while I focus
- 7:21Speaker 5: on the gym stuff and podcasting and all that. So yeah,
- 7:25Speaker 5: I just came back from an open where we're listing
- 7:27Speaker 5: a house right now. So it's something that I do
- 7:29Speaker 5: on the side still and I do love it, like
- 7:32Speaker 5: doing my own type of investments and rehabs and all
- 7:35Speaker 5: that fun stuff. So definitely into that, but the gym
- 7:39Speaker 5: is definitely the first and foremost.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Actually, I don't know if you're thinking the same thing
- 7:53Speaker 2: I'm thinking right now. But my question is, with all
- 7:57Speaker 2: this that's going on in Sean's life, you know, in
- 8:00Speaker 2: modern times, I don't know how it all works, but
- 8:02Speaker 2: I still think I know how babies are made. I
- 8:05Speaker 2: don't know how he has time for it, Like when
- 8:07Speaker 2: when does he have time for any romance on top
- 8:09Speaker 2: of all the jobs.
- 8:11Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a great question. Better figure that out.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Great transition, Ben, Yeah, he's taking cues, He's getting to
- 8:19Speaker 3: the juicy stuff. He's like, I'm ready.
- 8:21Speaker 5: We can tell you all of how it's made if
- 8:24Speaker 5: you want to go into that, Ben, do we want
- 8:26Speaker 5: to go through a.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Well we know that Ben is really good at that.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Remember on your season how Ben did the sex talk
- 8:32Speaker 3: and he told the first grader is how kids did
- 8:35Speaker 3: come to be?
- 8:36Speaker 4: Right? I do remember that.
- 8:38Speaker 5: That was that's when Ben started getting the nice, lovey,
- 8:42Speaker 5: cheery music and everybody talking about sex in front of the.
- 8:48Speaker 3: That's when he started getting the bachelorettits when it turned.
- 8:51Speaker 4: I remember that. Yeah, so you explain to everybody who's
- 8:54Speaker 4: listening right now how babies are made.
- 8:57Speaker 2: I would love to, but I'm not. I'm not there yet.
- 9:00Speaker 2: We haven't seemed to figure that one out here in
- 9:01Speaker 2: my household. We will though, we're practicing. But Sean, you
- 9:08Speaker 2: know this is a huge announcement. Yeah, in all seriousness,
- 9:11Speaker 2: like this case, you know, kind of came out of nowhere.
- 9:14Speaker 2: It was unexpected. I remember when I saw your teaser
- 9:16Speaker 2: on the podcast, and I do want to make sure
- 9:19Speaker 2: that we tell people. For an in depth interview about
- 9:25Speaker 2: Sean's journey to fatherhood, you can go and listen to
- 9:29Speaker 2: it on his podcast today. We're really going to sit
- 9:32Speaker 2: down with Sean and talk about, you know, what's all
- 9:35Speaker 2: happening in his life and how does he feel about this?
- 9:39Speaker 2: But let's start here. This was shocking. Was it for us?
- 9:42Speaker 2: Was it as shocking to you?
- 9:45Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 9:46Speaker 5: Like I said on my podcast, it was a big
- 9:48Speaker 5: surprise for the both of us, me and Dre. It
- 9:50Speaker 5: wasn't something that we're trying to do, but it turned
- 9:53Speaker 5: out to be a beautiful surprise, and it's something that
- 9:57Speaker 5: I'm ready for, that I'm excited for. And she's twenty
- 10:01Speaker 5: weeks now as of yesterday, So it was shocking. All
- 10:06Speaker 5: the emotions you could possibly think of, and then you know,
- 10:09Speaker 5: not being able to talk about it for weeks, you know, one,
- 10:12Speaker 5: because obviously it's a sensitive time where you may miscarriage
- 10:17Speaker 5: and you want to have to wait twelve weeks before
- 10:19Speaker 5: you can really announce any type of thing like that,
- 10:21Speaker 5: and then you know, telling our close family and friends
- 10:24Speaker 5: was one thing which was exciting, but then you know,
- 10:26Speaker 5: also being in this world that we come from having
- 10:29Speaker 5: to eventually kind of announce it out to the world,
- 10:35Speaker 5: and we could do our own announcement, and so that's
- 10:38Speaker 5: something that we did this past.
- 10:40Speaker 4: Week, and we both feel so good that it's over with.
- 10:42Speaker 5: And the crazy thing for me is, I'm like people
- 10:47Speaker 5: actually care that.
- 10:48Speaker 4: I'm like, I wasn't on the It's been eight years
- 10:51Speaker 4: since we've been on that show. Ben.
- 10:52Speaker 5: Don't you think that it's crazy that people still really
- 10:55Speaker 5: care about the things that you do in your life.
- 10:59Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 10:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean Ashley cares. I know that, and I
- 11:01Speaker 2: come and talk to her every week. But yeah, it
- 11:03Speaker 2: is wild, but it's a big you know, it's a
- 11:06Speaker 2: it's a big I think it's a big deal because
- 11:10Speaker 2: it's surprising, right you weren't you're not married, you hadn't
- 11:14Speaker 2: came out publicly in a relationship, so there's a shock factor.
- 11:18Speaker 2: But also I think people care, and then people at
- 11:20Speaker 2: least in the circles I talked to, are excited for you,
- 11:23Speaker 2: and including my wife who knows both you and Audrey. Yeah,
- 11:27Speaker 2: you know, she has worked with her in the past,
- 11:31Speaker 2: Dre as you for her is a is a photographer,
- 11:35Speaker 2: and so Jessica knew of her from Nashville. She was
- 11:40Speaker 2: excited and also shocked, Like can you believe it? Ben,
- 11:42Speaker 2: was the first thing she said to me. And I
- 11:44Speaker 2: was like, I didn't see it coming. But I guess
- 11:46Speaker 2: I don't really know that side of Sean's life at all.
- 11:49Speaker 3: A second here, Ben, So you guys kind of knew
- 11:53Speaker 3: Audrey separate from Drey, separate from Jean, and then you
- 11:58Speaker 3: just found out last week that they're having a baby together.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Did you have any idea that the two of them
- 12:03Speaker 3: had any relationship.
- 12:04Speaker 4: I had no clue. Well, she was at your wedding
- 12:06Speaker 4: with me.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Well that makes sense, Well Jessica said that, and I didn't,
- 12:12Speaker 2: but I didn't put two and two together. Yeah, and
- 12:16Speaker 2: just because I don't know, was she your date or
- 12:19Speaker 2: she was invited?
- 12:20Speaker 5: Yeah, and you've also met her because she she was
- 12:25Speaker 5: She came to the studio when we did that episode
- 12:28Speaker 5: right after I split with Caitlin. She was there as
- 12:30Speaker 5: a photographer, but we weren't dating.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Then, that's right. Yeah, Okay, So the epic interview, where
- 12:37Speaker 2: I still think it's one of the best, most real
- 12:40Speaker 2: interviews we've ever done. She was there as a photographer.
- 12:43Speaker 2: I actually remember her being there. So she's been around
- 12:46Speaker 2: in your life then for five years.
- 12:48Speaker 4: For five years.
- 12:50Speaker 3: So when did you guys meet and how she actually.
- 12:55Speaker 5: Came to my gym the first week we had opened,
- 12:58Speaker 5: and so a buddy of mine knew her as photographer.
- 13:02Speaker 4: And we need to get some photos and videos.
- 13:04Speaker 5: And she came like the third day we were open,
- 13:08Speaker 5: and then she worked with us ever since.
- 13:11Speaker 4: And she had been in a relationship. I have been
- 13:14Speaker 4: in and out of relationships.
- 13:17Speaker 5: Yeah, and we've dated on and off, but we've been
- 13:21Speaker 5: in each other's lives for five years.
- 13:23Speaker 3: Oh. See when she went as your date to Ben's wedding,
- 13:26Speaker 3: I must admit there was some speculation as to whether
- 13:29Speaker 3: or not she was just a friend date or.
- 13:30Speaker 4: That she was a date date.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Yeah, you guys did a good job concealing. Now, why
- 13:36Speaker 3: why have you been so private about your private life?
- 13:39Speaker 3: I think that Ben kind of touched on it. I
- 13:41Speaker 3: think everything was so shocking last week. It's like a
- 13:45Speaker 3: thirty eight year old having a baby. Why is it
- 13:47Speaker 3: so shocking? But it was because you have been really
- 13:50Speaker 3: private about your private life since you're split with Caitlin.
- 13:53Speaker 5: Yeah, And then my podcast I went into all of
- 13:56Speaker 5: this and explain the reasons why I've been private, and.
- 14:01Speaker 4: I think this was two episodes ago, but.
- 14:03Speaker 5: I basically it said that from my experience with the
- 14:06Speaker 5: Bachelor of franchise and my experience with having a public
- 14:10Speaker 5: relationship with Caitlin kind of scarred me maybe, and I
- 14:14Speaker 5: admitted maybe too much to the extreme where I wanted
- 14:17Speaker 5: to keep everything super private, where I felt very.
- 14:20Speaker 4: Overwhelmed in that relationship.
- 14:22Speaker 5: I felt like people always just were trying to get
- 14:25Speaker 5: details on our relationship, and I feel like and you
- 14:28Speaker 5: guys could probably agree and put a lot of pressure
- 14:31Speaker 5: on the relationship. And obviously that's completely different. We were
- 14:34Speaker 5: a couple on that show, so it's going to be
- 14:36Speaker 5: on a massive, massive stage as opposed to this. But
- 14:40Speaker 5: for me, I always wanted to keep my private life
- 14:43Speaker 5: as private as possible when I was dating after Caitlin,
- 14:47Speaker 5: and I think I just had a couple bad experiences
- 14:51Speaker 5: where I'd go on dates and people would then you know,
- 14:54Speaker 5: leak that to some tabloids and make something of it
- 14:57Speaker 5: that it wasn't and I just felt kind kind of
- 15:00Speaker 5: like I had a step back and became super guarded and.
- 15:06Speaker 4: Yeah, I was like, I don't.
- 15:07Speaker 5: Really want to put anything out there in the public
- 15:09Speaker 5: unless it's something that I know it's going to be.
- 15:14Speaker 5: I got serious, and so that's why I kind of
- 15:16Speaker 5: kept all my private life private.
- 15:18Speaker 3: The paparazzi dates that you have been seen on, you said,
- 15:22Speaker 3: the people are making them things that they aren't necessarily,
- 15:24Speaker 3: So are you saying that like they weren't dates or
- 15:27Speaker 3: they just order relationships that you didn't want to go
- 15:29Speaker 3: public with yet I don want to say.
- 15:30Speaker 5: Like girls like girls that I've gone out with that
- 15:33Speaker 5: have then sold, you know, tabloids, or girls now with
- 15:38Speaker 5: that have then called paparazzi.
- 15:40Speaker 4: Like that was all very just weird to me. And yeah,
- 15:45Speaker 4: it was just a weird situation.
- 15:46Speaker 5: So and then people just always seeming like, since they
- 15:52Speaker 5: know me for being on a dating show, they know
- 15:54Speaker 5: me from being in a relationship with Caitlin, they want
- 15:57Speaker 5: to know.
- 15:58Speaker 4: My relationship status.
- 15:59Speaker 5: And I just kind of I was thrown off by
- 16:00Speaker 5: that and kind of didn't want to make that a
- 16:03Speaker 5: main talking point with everybody.
- 16:05Speaker 2: You know, I don't know, I mean for me, you know,
- 16:09Speaker 2: I after the breakup with Lauren, nobody knew at least
- 16:14Speaker 2: outside of friendships and in close relationship to me, anybody
- 16:17Speaker 2: I was dating until Jessica. Yeah, And one of the
- 16:21Speaker 2: big reasons for that for me, I love the paparazzi.
- 16:25Speaker 2: I always felt like I was looking good in those pictures.
- 16:28Speaker 2: I was always welcomed them in. But the biggest problem
- 16:32Speaker 2: was the I felt like the pressure, like you go
- 16:35Speaker 2: on one date with somebody, right maybe, and then afterwards
- 16:39Speaker 2: it would get released and then you'd have I always
- 16:41Speaker 2: felt like it was harder to either end that relationship
- 16:44Speaker 2: or never going to date again, or have to respond
- 16:46Speaker 2: to it in an interview like, hey, we see you're
- 16:48Speaker 2: dating this person, like that happened once and now nobody
- 16:50Speaker 2: wants to date me because they think I'm already in
- 16:52Speaker 2: a relationship, and then they know how many first dates
- 16:54Speaker 2: I go on, and that doesn't feel like a great
- 16:56Speaker 2: like thing for me for everybody know. So mostly it
- 16:59Speaker 2: was just protecting, like my sanity from trying to always
- 17:04Speaker 2: explain myself. And I hate breaking up the way it is. Yeah,
- 17:06Speaker 2: I don't want to have to really ever break up.
- 17:08Speaker 2: If you know or talk about one date relationships, I.
- 17:12Speaker 4: Think you nailed it there perfectly. Then I felt the
- 17:15Speaker 4: same exact way.
- 17:16Speaker 5: And I had also said too that I felt like
- 17:19Speaker 5: kind of trying to protect the people was in a
- 17:21Speaker 5: relationship with as well, because again, so say you start
- 17:27Speaker 5: dating somebody, you throw it all over social media. People
- 17:30Speaker 5: started kind of trying to get stuff out of them,
- 17:32Speaker 5: asking them questions. It doesn't work, and then what and
- 17:35Speaker 5: then you go to the next one and the next one,
- 17:37Speaker 5: the next one. So I think it was this lot
- 17:39Speaker 5: of guarding and protecting of her and just maybe my
- 17:44Speaker 5: sanity as well. And I admitted maybe too much, so
- 17:49Speaker 5: where I maybe I should have not have cared so
- 17:51Speaker 5: much because I know people don't care that much, and
- 17:53Speaker 5: I think in my head it was just tough for
- 17:55Speaker 5: me to put out a relationship back out in the public.
- 18:08Speaker 3: Do you find it to be interesting the way that
- 18:11Speaker 3: your relationship with Caitlin just seems to be one that
- 18:15Speaker 3: the fandom still cares about sort of five years removed.
- 18:20Speaker 4: Yeah, I do.
- 18:21Speaker 5: It's yeah, I mean it's wild because and then I
- 18:26Speaker 5: asked people, I'm like, who is your ex five years ago?
- 18:30Speaker 5: You know, like if you think anybody who wasn't on
- 18:33Speaker 5: a TV show, it's like, you know, everybody moves on
- 18:35Speaker 5: with their lives and start dating other people. But again,
- 18:39Speaker 5: I understand that's how people know us and that's where
- 18:41Speaker 5: we come from.
- 18:42Speaker 4: And I think.
- 18:43Speaker 5: People really enjoyed that relationship, and I think people still
- 18:47Speaker 5: trying to make connections one way or another. I think
- 18:51Speaker 5: that's probably something I have to deal.
- 18:53Speaker 4: With for a while.
- 18:54Speaker 3: I think there's probably a lot of people out there
- 18:56Speaker 3: that would love to see the reconciliation, if too, to
- 19:01Speaker 3: end up with the people that you're publicly with right now.
- 19:03Speaker 5: Yeah, I think it also the way it ended too, right,
- 19:06Speaker 5: It was just like boom, done.
- 19:08Speaker 4: And then done.
- 19:10Speaker 3: Yeah, like it was. Also, it wasn't a clean breakup,
- 19:13Speaker 3: you know, there was some he shit, he said, she
- 19:16Speaker 3: said stuff. And I just think that mostly it speaks
- 19:20Speaker 3: to the fact that, like your seat, that season was
- 19:25Speaker 3: it was such a love story as somebody who's like
- 19:28Speaker 3: obviously a friend but also a little bit separate was.
- 19:32Speaker 3: I was a fan and a friend while watching that season.
- 19:35Speaker 3: There was just so much passion, Like you guys, it
- 19:38Speaker 3: was a great romance to Sean and Kaitlyn.
- 19:45Speaker 4: It was. It was.
- 19:46Speaker 5: And I had your old ball and chain Ben on
- 19:51Speaker 5: the podcast yesterday.
- 19:55Speaker 3: Yeah, oh nice, didn't know.
- 19:58Speaker 4: And I was talking about too Mike.
- 19:59Speaker 5: It's just a it's a crazy, crazy world because everybody's
- 20:05Speaker 5: like who's friends with who, who's the am I you
- 20:07Speaker 5: can't really explain it, right, It's like Ben's friends with
- 20:11Speaker 5: Kaitlin and her fiance and it's like and I run
- 20:14Speaker 5: to Laurene here in Nashville.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, you think he was talking about.
- 20:19Speaker 3: I was ball in Chane. Isn't that supposed to be
- 20:22Speaker 3: like your significant other?
- 20:24Speaker 6: Old?
- 20:24Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 20:25Speaker 2: I mean, I'd say we were pretty significant for a
- 20:27Speaker 2: period of time.
- 20:29Speaker 3: I thought I thought that was referring to a current
- 20:32Speaker 3: like the old wife, the old lady.
- 20:37Speaker 5: But to that point was I was talking, and I
- 20:41Speaker 5: was like, I think that our seasons were some of
- 20:45Speaker 5: the wildest crazy seasons there were. And I think that
- 20:49Speaker 5: the storylines of those two seasons in particular were just
- 20:52Speaker 5: unlike any other. And I think that's why they got
- 20:54Speaker 5: so much attention.
- 20:56Speaker 2: They did get a lot of attention, and I think
- 20:57Speaker 2: there was I think there was a genuinist him too,
- 21:00Speaker 2: from all sides, like everybody involved. Like I talked to
- 21:03Speaker 2: Ashley about this in our podcast a lot. When I
- 21:05Speaker 2: was on The Bachelorette, I didn't really feel especially as
- 21:09Speaker 2: we got going there was anybody there who wasn't at
- 21:12Speaker 2: least there to try to figure out like something either
- 21:15Speaker 2: it was a relationship with Caitlin, or it was maybe
- 21:17Speaker 2: figuring out who they were and what they were looking for.
- 21:19Speaker 2: But there was no never this pursuit of fame or
- 21:23Speaker 2: how can I be the loudest voice or how can
- 21:25Speaker 2: I make the most drama. It was. It was a
- 21:27Speaker 2: very much of a you felt like everybody at least
- 21:29Speaker 2: there was representing themselves well. And on the season of
- 21:33Speaker 2: The Bachelor that was a part of the cast felt
- 21:35Speaker 2: the same way. There wasn't you know, the people out
- 21:39Speaker 2: there that just look like they were trying to get
- 21:40Speaker 2: Instagram following. And one of those reasons is because Instagram
- 21:43Speaker 2: didn't really exist, and so it wasn't a thing that
- 21:47Speaker 2: we were pursuing. We were mostly trying to, you know,
- 21:50Speaker 2: make this world make sense in some level. And I
- 21:53Speaker 2: like what you're saying, Sean, because it is in Bachelor Nation.
- 21:55Speaker 2: It is a weird thing where like, yes, you know
- 21:58Speaker 2: that Ashley's a friend with friends with Kaitlin, Right, I've
- 22:01Speaker 2: been around Jason many times. I'm friends with Jason. I
- 22:04Speaker 2: haven't talked to Caylin in years, but I would say
- 22:06Speaker 2: if I saw her, I'd love to see Kayln, Like
- 22:08Speaker 2: it would be great to see her. I'd enjoy seeing her.
- 22:10Speaker 2: And you know, with Lauren, like for years of my life,
- 22:14Speaker 2: And this is leading to a question I have for you.
- 22:17Speaker 2: For years of my life, I really didn't want to
- 22:19Speaker 2: see her now because I hated her, not because I
- 22:20Speaker 2: disliked her. It was just felt weird and awkward, and
- 22:23Speaker 2: I didn't know what I would say, and I didn't
- 22:24Speaker 2: really know what good could come from running into her again,
- 22:27Speaker 2: Like it was just not something I was looking forward
- 22:29Speaker 2: to until really this year, which is how many years later,
- 22:33Speaker 2: where I played golf with her husband in a golf
- 22:36Speaker 2: tournament and he was awesome. He was great, We had
- 22:38Speaker 2: a blast, her dad was there. I have nothing but
- 22:41Speaker 2: like great memories. They were two people I hung out
- 22:44Speaker 2: with the most, really at that tournament. And then I said,
- 22:46Speaker 2: I could see Lauren because it's not weird anymore. I mean,
- 22:48Speaker 2: it'd still be, but I could like check in our life.
- 22:51Speaker 2: And so my question for you, and I've never understood
- 22:54Speaker 2: this about you. You have a massive public breakup with Kaitlin.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Everybody's talking about it, everybody wants to know more, but
- 23:03Speaker 2: you live miles away from each other, like you live
- 23:06Speaker 2: in the same city, and you still go about your
- 23:09Speaker 2: day without that like looking over your shoulder. I mean,
- 23:11Speaker 2: I would be in airports sometimes going through like La
- 23:14Speaker 2: or Portland, be like, I feel like I'm gonna run
- 23:16Speaker 2: into her, I feel like and I don't want to.
- 23:18Speaker 2: So how in the world did you stay in the
- 23:20Speaker 2: same city as Caitlin and function Nor?
- 23:25Speaker 5: Yeah, it's crazy to think about how in the five
- 23:29Speaker 5: years six since we've broken up, I've seen her physically
- 23:36Speaker 5: once at the same venue. And something else I talked
- 23:40Speaker 5: about my podcast is that I've run into Jason now
- 23:43Speaker 5: I feel like four times in the past year, and
- 23:46Speaker 5: it's just like all of a sudden, I see him everywhere.
- 23:48Speaker 5: But I've only seen Caitland one time. And I don't
- 23:52Speaker 5: know if it's because she's probably traveling much more than
- 23:55Speaker 5: I am. I don't know how much time she spends
- 23:57Speaker 5: here in the city. Nashville is a small as you know,
- 24:01Speaker 5: everybody knows everybody. It's not like La where you can
- 24:05Speaker 5: go out one night and you have hundreds and hundreds
- 24:07Speaker 5: of different options. Everybody kind of ends up in the
- 24:09Speaker 5: same places. So yeah, it's it's strange that I haven't
- 24:14Speaker 5: really seen her.
- 24:15Speaker 3: How'd that running go? Did you guys speak?
- 24:18Speaker 4: No, we didn't speak. We had a comedy show and.
- 24:24Speaker 5: I was actually somebody was sitting next to me and
- 24:28Speaker 5: somebody goes, oh my god, Caitlin Bristow's here. And then
- 24:31Speaker 5: I was like, oh my god, like like your heart sinks. Yeah,
- 24:35Speaker 5: like I haven't seen her.
- 24:36Speaker 4: I'm like, where is she?
- 24:37Speaker 5: And then I didn't see her in there wasn't I
- 24:40Speaker 5: wasn't trying to avoid her at all. And then I
- 24:42Speaker 5: was walking out the back door and she was like
- 24:45Speaker 5: in the room with the comedian, like behind the stage whatever.
- 24:49Speaker 5: So I just looked over I saw her and just
- 24:51Speaker 5: you know, kept walking and just went about my night.
- 24:55Speaker 2: I have so many more questions about obviously this run in,
- 25:01Speaker 2: about your what exactly you are with Audrey, with Dre.
- 25:09Speaker 2: I do want to close this and say to Dre,
- 25:11Speaker 2: who might may listen to this, It's not like I
- 25:13Speaker 2: don't remember you for my wedding. There's five hundred people there.
- 25:15Speaker 2: There's a lot going on.
- 25:17Speaker 4: There was a lot of people there at your wedding. Yeah.
- 25:20Speaker 5: I felt bad for you guys because you're just getting
- 25:23Speaker 5: hounded the whole time. I having to walk around and
- 25:25Speaker 5: that pressure of having to talk to everybody. It's like
- 25:27Speaker 5: you can only talk to you for a few minutes
- 25:29Speaker 5: because it's just everyone wants to see the new couple.
- 25:31Speaker 4: That's got to be tough. It was tough.
- 25:33Speaker 2: I'm glad we did the way we did it. I
- 25:36Speaker 2: never want to do it again, which is is good
- 25:38Speaker 2: because I don't plan on it, and I know Ashley
- 25:41Speaker 2: has been anxiously awaiting. I take a step back and
- 25:45Speaker 2: no anxiously awaiting, diving in to some really deep, good
- 25:51Speaker 2: questions about the future of Sean Booth. This has been
- 25:55Speaker 2: part one of the Interview with Sean Booth. Make sure
- 25:59Speaker 2: you tune into part two, which will be out very
