- 0:00Speaker 1: Ladies, gentlemen, welcome to another episode of Ust with the Boys.
- 0:03Speaker 1: This is episode two thirty two. A lot of stuff
- 0:07Speaker 1: happened over the weekend, obviously the Mic Variable podcast it is.
- 0:11Speaker 1: It's fucking electric man, that dude. It's such a unique
- 0:14Speaker 1: relationship that Will and I have with this man, and
- 0:16Speaker 1: you definitely see it all unfold, the good times, the
- 0:18Speaker 1: awkward times, the fun times, the serious times.
- 0:20Speaker 2: It's incredible.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Before we get into any of that, let's talk about
- 0:23Speaker 1: the durable, reliable vehicle of Chevy Silverado summers here and
- 0:26Speaker 1: what better way to take advantage of all it has
- 0:28Speaker 1: to offer than with the Chevy Silverados. Chevy Silverado Summer
- 0:32Speaker 1: Wait silver auDA summer. Jesus, dude, I gotta get Lasick.
- 0:37Speaker 1: I gotta get Lasick. It's got to happen. Silver out
- 0:39Speaker 1: of Summer. Think of all the possibilities from off road adventures,
- 0:42Speaker 1: tody projects and hardcore work. Silverado has the capability and
- 0:47Speaker 1: technology to make this summer your best one ever. With
- 0:51Speaker 1: nine different Silverado models to choose from and engines that
- 0:54Speaker 1: range from the powerful Turbomax to the six point two
- 0:57Speaker 1: liter V eight and the Durhamax, so you can count
- 1:01Speaker 1: on Chevy Power to perform Chevy Power Performance to get
- 1:05Speaker 1: anything done. Like many of you've been hitting the road
- 1:07Speaker 1: a lot lately, and it seems like everywhere we go
- 1:10Speaker 1: there's an army of Silverado's and Silverado owners.
- 1:13Speaker 2: So shout out to.
- 1:14Speaker 1: All of you game recognized game head over to Chevy
- 1:16Speaker 1: dot com to check out the Silverado and all Chevy trucks,
- 1:19Speaker 1: the official trucks of Busting with the Boys.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Dude, I just let him in a little glimpse.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Obviously, we had the the uh Rabel podcast. It literally
- 1:27Speaker 1: just happened like six seconds, like six seconds ago, and
- 1:30Speaker 1: I think it's a hilarious pod where we're like kind
- 1:32Speaker 1: of bouncing all over the place, like no question starts off, awkward,
- 1:36Speaker 1: starts off awkward, feel a little uncomfortable because you know,
- 1:39Speaker 1: we like legit don't even know how to start it,
- 1:41Speaker 1: because Rabel does have multiple personalities when it comes to
- 1:43Speaker 1: me and will. At one moment he's your best friend.
- 1:45Speaker 1: The next moment he's like, there's no questioning you verbally question.
- 1:49Speaker 3: In my mind that I felt like he wanted to
- 1:50Speaker 3: fight me at one point in the spot when he
- 1:53Speaker 3: was talking, Yes, that's the Ohio on him though, He's like, yeah,
- 1:57Speaker 3: I think he's starting to get serious.
- 1:58Speaker 2: He fucking one of those I thought you were getting
- 2:00Speaker 2: to No, I had that.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Once I saw the look in his eye. I was like, Okay,
- 2:03Speaker 3: let's come. It is a small quarter. He's got a
- 2:05Speaker 3: long reach, Like, got to figure out my distance.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Yeah, but all's fair in love and warly. I think
- 2:10Speaker 2: you'd handle that.
- 2:12Speaker 3: The problem would be very would swing first, because I'm
- 2:15Speaker 3: thinking in my head, like, what am I gonna do?
- 2:17Speaker 2: Fucking just try to go out your rads right now? Yeah? Yeah,
- 2:20Speaker 2: that would you know what I mean?
- 2:22Speaker 3: And then I feel like if he's swinging first, I'm
- 2:24Speaker 3: I'm I'm at a disadvantage because he's got reach. Like
- 2:27Speaker 3: you've seen him. You've seen him trying to mess around
- 2:29Speaker 3: at practice with guys long arm. Mother, it's a it's
- 2:32Speaker 3: a it's a healthy respect.
- 2:33Speaker 2: I'm sitting there. I was like, fuck, d he's take
- 2:36Speaker 2: it easy. We're jokes.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Got to get in the body real quick. Can you
- 2:37Speaker 1: handle your business? But it's about getting to the body
- 2:40Speaker 1: right right into the body, getting to the ground fast.
- 2:44Speaker 2: But I really truly enjoyed that podcast through and through. Yeah,
- 2:47Speaker 2: I know, in the beginning it's hilarious.
- 2:50Speaker 3: I can't even like remember the beginning, but yes, I
- 2:52Speaker 3: was feeling the same vibe. Like when he sat down,
- 2:54Speaker 3: I'm like, you know, where do we kind of where
- 2:57Speaker 3: do we start off on this?
- 2:58Speaker 1: And then there was like ten fifteen minutes of us
- 3:00Speaker 1: just peppering him with serious questions and he's like, when
- 3:02Speaker 1: the fuck did you guys get serious?
- 3:04Speaker 2: Like when did that happen? I was like, all right,
- 3:05Speaker 2: he's not out of respect.
- 3:07Speaker 1: It is because there's a lot of news so running
- 3:09Speaker 1: the Titans right now that people want to get into.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Yeah, and Verve is somebody who you know, we feel
- 3:13Speaker 3: like we have the relationship and the rapport with him
- 3:15Speaker 3: to where he'll answer those questions. So you kind of
- 3:18Speaker 3: I'm thinking of myself like it's good to ask those questions.
- 3:20Speaker 3: So I feel like he'll give us more than what
- 3:22Speaker 3: he would you know, anybody else he's talking to.
- 3:24Speaker 2: I agree with that.
- 3:25Speaker 3: But yeah, man, sitting there in the most fucking alpha
- 3:28Speaker 3: posture of all time, just he was laid out all
- 3:31Speaker 3: over the couch at the table, was getting cozy on
- 3:33Speaker 3: this dus.
- 3:33Speaker 2: He making himself at home.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Yeah, he's the best man, He's it's it's just funny
- 3:38Speaker 3: how the relationship is built like over time. Like it's
- 3:41Speaker 3: like I was excited to talk about some of the
- 3:43Speaker 3: old stories, but even as I was trying to deliver
- 3:45Speaker 3: them and I'm thinking about them, that's when the nurse
- 3:47Speaker 3: are kicking in, like, hey, have you.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Seen some of the Kevin Byern clips? Yeah?
- 3:51Speaker 1: Like because it was a body session that yeah, it's.
- 3:55Speaker 2: It was awesome. Man.
- 3:56Speaker 1: I feel like we need to get to this pod
- 3:59Speaker 1: asa people. Let's hit some tier talk and we're not
- 4:01Speaker 1: tiar talk. Shout out for shoutout Pepe. Those are good
- 4:05Speaker 1: that yeah, yeah, yeah, let's do shout out for shoutout
- 4:08Speaker 1: boys in the back?
- 4:09Speaker 2: Do we have any shoutouts backs? Hang on?
- 4:11Speaker 4: What'd you guys think of the pod epic? As a
- 4:14Speaker 4: Titans fan, it's so fun to be around Rabel. He's
- 4:17Speaker 4: we were just talking about it, like, probably the coolest
- 4:20Speaker 4: and best coach in the NFL. He's my favorite Titans
- 4:22Speaker 4: coach ever, second being Jeff Fisher, but Rabel is all time.
- 4:28Speaker 4: If you're a Titans fan, you're gonna absolutely love this episode.
- 4:32Speaker 2: M JP.
- 4:36Speaker 5: Yeah you know me, man, I heard Titans fan love.
- 4:39Speaker 5: Rabel was a big Patriots fan during his time. There
- 4:43Speaker 5: was a Texans fan when he was with the Texans,
- 4:45Speaker 5: so it's been It was cool.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Great, great football talk.
- 4:48Speaker 5: It was cool to see y'all's dynamic because we always
- 4:50Speaker 5: hear about it via group chat, and we got to
- 4:53Speaker 5: see the group chat come to life, which was dope.
- 4:55Speaker 3: What'd you guys think of the dynamic the whole time?
- 4:57Speaker 3: Could you feel? Definitely at the beginning, there's at the beginning.
- 5:00Speaker 3: There was throughout the Potter you feeling like, you know,
- 5:04Speaker 3: you can tell there's a couple of things.
- 5:06Speaker 2: I'm sitting there talking to her and I'm like, I
- 5:07Speaker 2: was nervous the beginning one hundred percent.
- 5:10Speaker 5: It was like, oh my gosh, because right before the Potter,
- 5:13Speaker 5: for you guy here, Will is like, y'all know I
- 5:16Speaker 5: mean when rape shows up and going to show up
- 5:18Speaker 5: asap and everything, Yeah, and then it just folds out
- 5:21Speaker 5: in real time.
- 5:22Speaker 3: You're like, yeah, we said something, laughed and laughed about it.
- 5:25Speaker 3: And then I was like, but you guys also know me,
- 5:27Speaker 3: like right when rape shows up, I'm about to show up.
- 5:30Speaker 2: I did. It was it was nerve wracking.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Like there was a point where we started talking about
- 5:34Speaker 1: twenty eighteen, how Braves was an asshole, and then you
- 5:36Speaker 1: looked at Braves goes either his words not mine, I'm thinking,
- 5:38Speaker 1: oh fuck.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Am I speaking out a turn, like literally in my
- 5:41Speaker 2: in my own head.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Once you say you said like unfair, I think it's
- 5:45Speaker 3: the word you said, like there are some times where
- 5:46Speaker 3: you were unfair.
- 5:47Speaker 2: And then that's when I looked over raising like that
- 5:48Speaker 2: those are his words. Just let your boy out the
- 5:50Speaker 2: hang dude.
- 5:52Speaker 1: But hey, but it ended up it was wasn't exactly
- 5:55Speaker 1: how are our group chats go with him? Yeah, it's
- 5:57Speaker 1: just awkward that it's fun and it can get serious
- 6:01Speaker 1: at times.
- 6:01Speaker 3: It was, yeah, oh we all know we're clearly joking.
- 6:03Speaker 3: Let's continue to have fun and banter back and forth.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Oh wait a minute, is something getting serious in here?
- 6:07Speaker 3: Oh wait a minute. I don't know if I want
- 6:08Speaker 3: to respond to this?
- 6:09Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, are we cool?
- 6:11Speaker 1: I can't just walk away, can't just leave the chap
- 6:13Speaker 1: with your phone down, get told like stop being fucking sensitive.
- 6:16Speaker 2: And I'm like, oh, what do you mean?
- 6:19Speaker 1: No doubt, dude, no fucking doubt. But yeah, let's hit
- 6:23Speaker 1: the shout out no free shout out in pet peep.
- 6:25Speaker 2: For the week JP shout out, No Free shout out,
- 6:27Speaker 2: Oh do you not have one? Oh, ma'am ah.
- 6:32Speaker 5: My shout out, no free shout out goes to it
- 6:36Speaker 5: happens in the spring, in the summer probably more so,
- 6:38Speaker 5: actually happens.
- 6:39Speaker 2: All ye round.
- 6:40Speaker 5: But my shout out, no free shoutout goes to a
- 6:43Speaker 5: good hard sneeze when you, like truly just feel that
- 6:47Speaker 5: it's from the chest. It just feels cleared out. You
- 6:52Speaker 5: feel like God, I needed that. So that's my shout out.
- 6:54Speaker 5: No free shout out.
- 6:59Speaker 4: Hell yeah, oh, mine goes along with our activity from
- 7:03Speaker 4: last night. But shout out, no free shout out to
- 7:05Speaker 4: free concert tickets.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Damn it is.
- 7:09Speaker 4: It's solely once you get in the venue, you're like, Okay,
- 7:12Speaker 4: I didn't spend any money on tickets, so I can
- 7:15Speaker 4: spend as much as I want to on some beers
- 7:17Speaker 4: or like a merch item whatever. And on Friday night
- 7:20Speaker 4: I went to a Sinda amphitheater with some friends for
- 7:22Speaker 4: Young the Giant, And I don't even really care for
- 7:25Speaker 4: the band that much, Like they're good objectively, but they're
- 7:28Speaker 4: not in my daily rotation.
- 7:30Speaker 2: And I thought I was gonna get a free ticket.
- 7:32Speaker 4: And didn't, and I ended up paying eighty dollars to
- 7:35Speaker 4: go to this show that I really didn't care to
- 7:36Speaker 4: be at. So getting the free ticket to Blink was it.
- 7:40Speaker 4: I felt like it leveled it out. I like, spend
- 7:42Speaker 4: like forty dollars and forty dollars. Yeah, yeah, shout out
- 7:45Speaker 4: to free concert tickets And.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Obviously that was gonna be my shout out as well,
- 7:49Speaker 1: but I'll change my shout out, but I just want
- 7:51Speaker 1: to add on to your shout out, Like I want
- 7:52Speaker 1: to give.
- 7:53Speaker 2: A shout out to the Predators.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Yeah, because Brandon, who works with the Predators, who works
- 7:56Speaker 1: with their media group, I reached out to him about
- 7:58Speaker 1: possibly purchasing a sweet four the event. Hit me up
- 8:02Speaker 1: on Wednesday and he's like, hey, do you still need
- 8:03Speaker 1: a Sweet? And I was like yeah, He's like called me.
- 8:05Speaker 1: I called him and he goes, hey, I went up the.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Chain of command.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Petitors want to thank you for everything you've done for us,
- 8:11Speaker 1: and we're gonna.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Give you this sweet for free.
- 8:13Speaker 1: And I thought that was like the coolest fuck, Like
- 8:15Speaker 1: it was just awesome, like going to see Blank obviously
- 8:18Speaker 1: my favorite band of all time and all that. I
- 8:20Speaker 1: was like very very grateful for that. So shout out
- 8:23Speaker 1: the national Petators as well the whole organization.
- 8:25Speaker 2: They're incredible. So that's my add on to.
- 8:28Speaker 6: Jacks my shoutout nor free shadowt this week. It's pretty
- 8:34Speaker 6: simple just getting a new hair just a fresh haircut.
- 8:36Speaker 6: Just feel like a new person. You feel like you
- 8:38Speaker 6: got a little bit of your swagger back. You just
- 8:40Speaker 6: feel more confident in yourself. Shutout fresh haircuts. God Garrett
- 8:47Speaker 6: is like the number one culprit of that nice one.
- 8:50Speaker 6: Mitch Willie my shoutowt no free shoudout goes to picking
- 8:57Speaker 6: a good bugger, go on, picking a good booger. I
- 9:01Speaker 6: feel like.
- 9:03Speaker 3: If this first, when people first absorb that, it's kind
- 9:06Speaker 3: of like, oh shit. But also I think we all
- 9:08Speaker 3: have to understand at this point that literally one hundred
- 9:11Speaker 3: percent of people pick their nose on the slide or
- 9:13Speaker 3: they get caught. But there's nothing like picking a good burger.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Like when you got there's different book, there's different boogers.
- 9:20Speaker 3: Now when you got them dry boys, like right at
- 9:22Speaker 3: the top he end, you can just kind of get
- 9:23Speaker 3: the thumb out with it. There's ones that kind of
- 9:26Speaker 3: hang back a little bit and you got a nice
- 9:27Speaker 3: it's got a nice little lag.
- 9:28Speaker 2: When you get a pulled down.
- 9:29Speaker 3: It kind of just like weirdly comes out deep from
- 9:32Speaker 3: the nostril and you're like, yeah, that might be a
- 9:34Speaker 3: pr But then there are some downsides, like when you
- 9:37Speaker 3: get the ones that are kind of just running, they're
- 9:38Speaker 3: all around your nose and you feel like you just
- 9:40Speaker 3: can't It's like a never ending trying to get it out.
- 9:42Speaker 2: That sucks.
- 9:43Speaker 1: But all in all, I've always been a massive uh
- 9:48Speaker 1: fan of nose picking.
- 9:49Speaker 2: So my shot, I don't know for shot is going
- 9:50Speaker 2: to go to picking a good booger. I think you
- 9:52Speaker 2: open a lot of people's eyes with that one in
- 9:54Speaker 2: a positive way, In.
- 9:55Speaker 1: A positive way, okay, because you know, picking a booger's
- 9:57Speaker 1: a fau paul.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel like this.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like it's a there's it's like a
- 10:00Speaker 3: massive closet fan base, right and you just kind of
- 10:03Speaker 3: need that one, Like yo, fucking picking boogers?
- 10:05Speaker 2: Is we all do?
- 10:06Speaker 7: Like?
- 10:06Speaker 2: Oh him too? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, I love that.
- 10:10Speaker 1: My shout out, no free shout out is gonna go
- 10:12Speaker 1: to the nod you get from another man as you
- 10:15Speaker 1: walk by on the sidewalk. Just everything's fucking understood. You
- 10:19Speaker 1: don't even know him, you've never spoken to him in
- 10:21Speaker 1: your entire life. But you see him and you, guys
- 10:23Speaker 1: just give the head up or the head down and
- 10:25Speaker 1: you just keep going about your business. But every there
- 10:27Speaker 1: was a whole conversation there, a whole fucking car a
- 10:30Speaker 1: lot without saying anything at all exactly.
- 10:33Speaker 7: I've actually thought about that recently, like the relationships you
- 10:36Speaker 7: have with people without knowing their name, what they do,
- 10:38Speaker 7: like anything about them, but you see them, like you know,
- 10:41Speaker 7: throughout the week, whether it's the gym, coffee shop, whatever,
- 10:45Speaker 7: but you have that kind of that nod of just like, yeah,
- 10:47Speaker 7: what's up, bro.
- 10:48Speaker 2: What's up? You?
- 10:48Speaker 1: Just yeah, if you've seen him a couple of times,
- 10:50Speaker 1: or for me, I'm a big like, hey, how's it
- 10:52Speaker 1: going guy? Sometimes you're just walking maybe I'm walking the
- 10:54Speaker 1: dogs and keep up my hand out like this and
- 10:56Speaker 1: I look at a guy and he fucking looks up
- 10:58Speaker 1: at me and we catch eyes. We're both one of those.
- 11:00Speaker 1: It's like, brother, you have a fantastic fucking day. Like
- 11:03Speaker 1: what a deal that is. So that's why that's my
- 11:05Speaker 1: shadow for shadows, solid, Thank you, thank you, thank you.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Isn't it funny too?
- 11:12Speaker 3: On the booger thing that hey have?
- 11:16Speaker 2: Have you have any of y'all ever seen me pick
- 11:18Speaker 2: my nose? You have do what? Oh jpce used that
- 11:25Speaker 2: one before? Oh ct man chucking up, continue though on
- 11:30Speaker 2: your thought when you put your But my thought.
- 11:32Speaker 3: Was gonna be like, okay, say you have seen me,
- 11:34Speaker 3: But I think it's funny too, Like I've never really
- 11:38Speaker 3: seen you guys do it, but we all just know
- 11:40Speaker 3: that we all do it in that wild.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Don't. I don't. I don't know about that.
- 11:48Speaker 1: What Oh like, no, you can't have this.
- 11:57Speaker 2: I mean you're cleaning yourself as it.
- 12:00Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, Now I think when there's one like right
- 12:04Speaker 1: where the bone is and it's right up there, like
- 12:06Speaker 1: almost blocking like airway and you can't get out there,
- 12:09Speaker 1: and you just scoop that thing out.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Fly out that little that little hang back in the shower,
- 12:16Speaker 2: you're like essentially washing your hands.
- 12:18Speaker 1: I feel like already, no, but it doesn't get that
- 12:21Speaker 1: like picking picking your nose is low key cut in
- 12:25Speaker 1: a very minimal way and like a Q tip in
- 12:27Speaker 1: your ear, Like you get that ship done, you're like,
- 12:29Speaker 1: oh fuck, like that my day got better. I felt
- 12:32Speaker 1: something good about that. In the shower, it's like you're
- 12:34Speaker 1: just you're just taking care of business. You're kidding yourself.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Sometimes you feeling up there and then you I don't
- 12:38Speaker 3: know about you guys, but I thinking myself, let me stop.
- 12:40Speaker 3: I'm gonna take some private I'm gonna get in some
- 12:42Speaker 3: some peace and quiet.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Wore I get this boy out, you know what I mean? Like,
- 12:45Speaker 2: I'm not this in one you just picking yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 12:50Speaker 1: There's something in there. There's something in there. I want
- 12:52Speaker 1: to take my time with this one because I don't
- 12:53Speaker 1: want it to be rushed. One that I love because
- 12:55Speaker 1: I I don't know if you guys get this, but
- 12:56Speaker 1: I'm like right at the base in the middle. Sometimes
- 12:59Speaker 1: it'll get a little raw, like you do that and
- 13:01Speaker 1: like it kind of scabs up a little bit. I
- 13:03Speaker 1: get that. Change the seasons. Yeah, and I've had that
- 13:06Speaker 1: recently for like two weeks. It's been bugging the fuck
- 13:09Speaker 1: I mean by right nostril. But it'll get like backed
- 13:11Speaker 1: up in here and I'll find my private space, start
- 13:14Speaker 1: digging around, and you kind of feel it like gathering together.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Fill the edge of the scab kind of comes where
- 13:19Speaker 3: you're like you kind of want to peel it and
- 13:20Speaker 3: feel yeah yeah, but but if you start to rip
- 13:22Speaker 3: it a little bit, you're like, oh, fuck, yeah, now.
- 13:24Speaker 2: I'm in pain.
- 13:26Speaker 1: You got you kind of get the boys all congregating
- 13:29Speaker 1: together in one unit, and then you give it the
- 13:32Speaker 1: and that fucking explosion that comes out.
- 13:34Speaker 2: It's like, I don't know about the explosion part. Really
- 13:37Speaker 2: never done that one. Oh, it's just a big booger.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Home collect them all and then is that.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Yeah, you're like kind of in there and you're like,
- 13:42Speaker 1: you go in for one because you know one's there,
- 13:44Speaker 1: but he's got a couple of buddies with them to
- 13:46Speaker 1: know about. You walked into a room you thought it
- 13:47Speaker 1: was one individual, it's actually a multiple individuals.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Yeah, bad thing for me, and.
- 13:51Speaker 1: I can get them kind of together kind of you know,
- 13:53Speaker 1: tie them up, and then fucking send them out.
- 13:56Speaker 2: That to me is like a refreshing feeling. What scares
- 13:58Speaker 2: me when I send them out.
- 14:00Speaker 3: What scares me when I send them out is that
- 14:01Speaker 3: I'm not going to get to see him, Like it
- 14:03Speaker 3: might not hit my when I'm like I hit a
- 14:05Speaker 3: snot rock and I'm like, damn, I kind of wanted
- 14:06Speaker 3: to see the Oh you want to see I want
- 14:08Speaker 3: to see the trophy.
- 14:09Speaker 5: One of my number one lives in life is when
- 14:11Speaker 5: I just get a random bloody nose. Like everybody's like, damn, man,
- 14:16Speaker 5: how's you got a bloody nose? I'm like, yeah, I
- 14:18Speaker 5: don't know how that happened. Massive buggers with me. You
- 14:23Speaker 5: always gotta lie about it.
- 14:24Speaker 2: You always gotta lie, especially when you're young too. I
- 14:26Speaker 2: feel like you just dig in that nose, you just
- 14:27Speaker 2: start bleeding. You're like, oh, what's going on? You're like
- 14:29Speaker 2: shoving fucking It's like the altitude or something in South Carolina.
- 14:33Speaker 1: I don't know what the fuck happens. It's being like
- 14:35Speaker 1: a kid, like not to pivot. But like when you're younger,
- 14:39Speaker 1: like farting, like getting a good fart out, like a
- 14:41Speaker 1: lot of people will be like, yo, don't don't do
- 14:43Speaker 1: that around here. And then as you get older, like
- 14:45Speaker 1: you especially like just farting all the time, Like you
- 14:48Speaker 1: get a good fart out and kind of like your
- 14:50Speaker 1: stomachs areting a little bit, like is this a ship?
- 14:51Speaker 2: Is this not a ship?
- 14:52Speaker 1: And then you let out a big fart. You feel
- 14:53Speaker 1: so much better. That's a fucking book. Parts are awesome. Yeah,
- 14:59Speaker 1: those are carry farts. What a pod pet peeve jip?
- 15:04Speaker 1: Do you have a pet peeve of the week peeve
- 15:06Speaker 1: of the week.
- 15:07Speaker 5: My peeve of the week is, oh, you know, like
- 15:11Speaker 5: I guess there's two seats to the toilet, like the
- 15:15Speaker 5: full cover and then the one you sit on. So
- 15:17Speaker 5: it's the second one that you sit on when you're pooping.
- 15:20Speaker 5: If when you lift it up to go pete and
- 15:22Speaker 5: it doesn't stay up and it just continuously falls down,
- 15:27Speaker 5: it makes me so mad.
- 15:28Speaker 2: It's just that one in there's got it. No, no,
- 15:30Speaker 2: it doesn't have it.
- 15:31Speaker 3: It stops, but some like it has like a little
- 15:34Speaker 3: bit of lean forward and but you know you can
- 15:36Speaker 3: trust it, you know you can count on it.
- 15:38Speaker 5: Yeah, But I think what bugs me the most is
- 15:40Speaker 5: that like people live in those houses and they use
- 15:43Speaker 5: that every single day and just like let that fly.
- 15:45Speaker 2: And think the same thought probably every time.
- 15:49Speaker 5: It's like, yo, it takes five seconds to fix this
- 15:52Speaker 5: now now field in the wrath of the stream everywhere,
- 15:56Speaker 5: clean it up later my ass No, yes, yeah, yeah,
- 16:03Speaker 5: it will happen to me probably, and I'm not.
- 16:07Speaker 2: I got one.
- 16:09Speaker 4: This might be our first ever seasonal pet beeve. So
- 16:12Speaker 4: in the spring and fall.
- 16:14Speaker 2: I do not abide by this rule.
- 16:15Speaker 4: But in the summer and probably mostly the winter, my
- 16:19Speaker 4: pet peeve is people who choose to sit outside at
- 16:22Speaker 4: restaurants in the middle of summer.
- 16:25Speaker 2: I'm a sweater.
- 16:26Speaker 4: I just sweat profusely, especially when I'm outside in Nashville
- 16:31Speaker 4: it's like ninety degrees and someone who will make the
- 16:34Speaker 4: decision to sit outside in the sun for an hour
- 16:36Speaker 4: and a half while you eat. I might be alone
- 16:39Speaker 4: on this one, but I remember when we were in
- 16:41Speaker 4: Vegas and me, you and JP wait and got breakfast
- 16:43Speaker 4: at that spot, and they were kind of like pushing us.
- 16:45Speaker 4: They're like, if you want to sit outside, like it'll
- 16:47Speaker 4: be quicker, and we're like, nah, I will, We'll wait,
- 16:49Speaker 4: and then they're like, all right, come this way.
- 16:51Speaker 2: But I don't know.
- 16:52Speaker 4: I just when it's too hot outside, I want to ac
- 16:55Speaker 4: I want to be able to enjoy my food. I
- 16:57Speaker 4: don't want to walk out with back sweat and like,
- 16:59Speaker 4: you know, pay stains. But when now fall weather comes
- 17:02Speaker 4: around and it's a nice Chris seventy, yeah, get me
- 17:05Speaker 4: outside the scenery.
- 17:06Speaker 2: I love question. So yeah, that's my pet peeve.
- 17:09Speaker 6: You're not alone, Jack, my pet peeve of the week.
- 17:14Speaker 6: It's something that I noticed last night, and it's happens
- 17:17Speaker 6: a lot when you're out like at like some sort
- 17:20Speaker 6: of event. It's the people that are just non stop
- 17:23Speaker 6: taking videos that they're never gonna watch again. Like you
- 17:27Speaker 6: can take like one or two of like maybe like
- 17:28Speaker 6: your favorite songs, but like you shouldn't be recording the
- 17:32Speaker 6: entire show because you're never going to watch it again.
- 17:35Speaker 6: Like live in the moment, put your phone down, have
- 17:38Speaker 6: some fun, like enjoy the people around you, enjoy the
- 17:41Speaker 6: scenery and everything. Like you're not gonna fucking watch the
- 17:43Speaker 6: video of the concert through the phone again.
- 17:47Speaker 2: That is no lie. That is no lie. It's zero photos.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Last night, you guys saw the text and you were
- 17:52Speaker 2: and you probably had the best time ever. I did it.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Except for that one girl. Yeah yeah, yeah yeah, pat.
- 18:00Speaker 1: People of the week is women that I'd get too
- 18:01Speaker 1: drunk and to hit on you in front of your
- 18:03Speaker 1: wife and steal your ship.
- 18:04Speaker 2: That's so that's a that's an easy pet peeve. What's that? Yeah?
- 18:13Speaker 7: Uh my pet peeve is gonna go along with the
- 18:16Speaker 7: food thing. I can't stand when like if you're on
- 18:20Speaker 7: a date and you're ordering appetizer and the appetizer's uneven
- 18:25Speaker 7: amounts of whatever. It is so like we got dumplings
- 18:27Speaker 7: recently and there was five. It's like who's getting third dumpling?
- 18:33Speaker 7: And so you kind of wait and you play like
- 18:35Speaker 7: the no you got it, no you got it, back
- 18:37Speaker 7: and forth, and eventually you're like, yeah, I'm.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Like, just give us six or four? Right? The quality? Yeah?
- 18:44Speaker 1: With that, we were at a sushi spot me, JP
- 18:47Speaker 1: and Will in New York, and I feel like that
- 18:49Speaker 1: happened every single role and it was like in my head,
- 18:53Speaker 1: I'm like I want this fucking food. But I'm like,
- 18:56Speaker 1: I go ahead, Will, And then I knew we'll got
- 18:57Speaker 1: that one. I was like a right, go ahead, Jp.
- 18:59Speaker 1: I'm like I know I'm getting next one, and I'm
- 19:01Speaker 1: just hoping it's the best one.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Honestly, selfishly, I gave up that last real quick. So
- 19:06Speaker 2: y'all got it. That one pissed me off.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Dude, See, your chin's gross as fuck, just overpriced, really
- 19:14Speaker 1: just a booger, that's all that is.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Yeah, you do yours. I'm still thinking about mine.
- 19:19Speaker 1: My pet peeve of the week is gonna be when
- 19:22Speaker 1: you pull your gym shorts out of the dryer and
- 19:24Speaker 1: your draw string is tucked inside the fucking waist span,
- 19:30Speaker 1: not where it's like half an inch but like three
- 19:33Speaker 1: four inches away, and you're like, dude, I gotta fucking
- 19:36Speaker 1: work to get this ship. You're doing this the whole
- 19:40Speaker 1: way across until you finally inch worm that motherfucker across
- 19:43Speaker 1: so you can get that thing out, and then you
- 19:45Speaker 1: got to pull it and then you have to re
- 19:46Speaker 1: stretch it, and then sometimes you get the two four
- 19:49Speaker 1: where the motherfucker goes back in. Oh, you pull the
- 19:51Speaker 1: draw string out and then you go to in. Yeah,
- 19:55Speaker 1: and then it slides back in just it doesn't even
- 19:57Speaker 1: have to. Then it goes in just a little bit
- 19:58Speaker 1: where you know, it's kind of easy, baby, bro, I
- 20:00Speaker 1: just fucking did this with you, Like, why are we
- 20:02Speaker 1: doing this again?
- 20:02Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 20:03Speaker 2: Hoodies too, yes, hoodie too broad about that? Oh one?
- 20:08Speaker 1: Yeah one super long? The other one's on your fucking
- 20:09Speaker 1: top of your head and you're like, dude, what are
- 20:11Speaker 1: we doing?
- 20:13Speaker 3: Because shorts, I feel like you get some sometimes not
- 20:16Speaker 3: favorable material, but you know, like when it has like, uh,
- 20:18Speaker 3: that little plastic tip to where you can kind of
- 20:20Speaker 3: grab it as you're like guided through on the hoodie
- 20:24Speaker 3: when you're messing with like one hundred percent cotton or
- 20:26Speaker 3: something like that, I feel like you the hoodie so
- 20:28Speaker 3: much fucking takes so much more time, and it just
- 20:31Speaker 3: pisses you off because I started like tying my tying
- 20:36Speaker 3: my hood oh for real, before I put in the washer.
- 20:39Speaker 2: That's smart. That's like, that's head that way, that move.
- 20:42Speaker 1: That's you've been in the game for a while and
- 20:44Speaker 1: you figure that out in your own like I I'm
- 20:46Speaker 1: kidding that get.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Tired of being sick and tired.
- 20:47Speaker 7: Yeah, do you know what that uh plastic piece on
- 20:49Speaker 7: the end of the shoelace or your drawstrings called m M.
- 20:54Speaker 2: An ugly?
- 20:54Speaker 7: Yes, I had to look it up to make sure
- 20:56Speaker 7: I said it right, but an ag lit it's always
- 20:58Speaker 7: a fun little shit educational pod.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I know that. My pet peeve is when that
- 21:09Speaker 2: green text pops up in a group chat and you
- 21:13Speaker 2: got that.
- 21:13Speaker 1: One fucking douchebag of a friend who has an Android
- 21:18Speaker 1: Google phone.
- 21:19Speaker 3: I don't even know what they're called. I don't even
- 21:21Speaker 3: know what the other phones are called. But when it's
- 21:22Speaker 3: not an iPhone, it's not I message, just not light blue.
- 21:26Speaker 3: When that green pops up, dude, it's like, I don't know,
- 21:29Speaker 3: it's like.
- 21:29Speaker 2: When you know, yeah, you know what I'm fucking saying
- 21:39Speaker 2: yeah amen, and.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Then a video is sent to the group or a
- 21:42Speaker 1: picture that shit comes in this big yeah, I can't even.
- 21:47Speaker 3: Or when you know somebody likes it, and then it
- 21:49Speaker 3: says like Taylor Lawan liked this message, and I'm thinking, like,
- 21:52Speaker 3: Taylor's got an iPhone.
- 21:53Speaker 2: I know it ain't him. Yeah, but it's the green text.
- 21:57Speaker 3: Specially when that green text pops up in a group chat,
- 21:59Speaker 3: You're just thinking, who's the motherfucker that wants to ruin
- 22:01Speaker 3: the day today?
- 22:04Speaker 2: They just gotta you just leave them out and tell
- 22:06Speaker 2: them later. Yeah, it is one of those deals. Man. Man,
- 22:12Speaker 2: the green text messages just off. Yeah, it's it's it
- 22:18Speaker 2: kills all the vibes.
- 22:21Speaker 1: That being said, let's get to this my favorable podcast.
- 22:26Speaker 1: How long he's dragon, No, I'm just I gotta.
- 22:28Speaker 2: I'm hungry. This is more meant for a percent hungry.
- 22:34Speaker 2: I feel him a couple of times. It's like coming
- 22:36Speaker 2: to a dad. He's like, what's next. He's just like, fuck,
- 22:38Speaker 2: I don't know. He loved that pod. Yeah, just tell stories, are.
- 22:45Speaker 3: You like, try and work on like you're trying to
- 22:47Speaker 3: say something that you're gonna get, like the response.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Or wanting out of him. Yeah, I can.
- 22:51Speaker 3: I was already thinking about uh when I was talking
- 22:53Speaker 3: about bitching about the trash time going in for the
- 22:55Speaker 3: Bills game, and he's just kind of like looking at
- 22:57Speaker 3: me like your magic playing.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know that's what I was talking. Nobody
- 23:02Speaker 2: wants to do that. Yeah, nobody wants to.
- 23:05Speaker 1: But I thought he I thought he was for sure
- 23:07Speaker 1: going to react with the Belichick thing. I thought we
- 23:09Speaker 1: were gonna get him.
- 23:10Speaker 3: I know, I know because my next thing, like when
- 23:12Speaker 3: he started to he started to say something about I
- 23:15Speaker 3: was gonna make so you know, you know what the
- 23:17Speaker 3: nickname is because somebody did say that or they or
- 23:19Speaker 3: it was talked about about him, and then somebody asked
- 23:21Speaker 3: him about it at an interview like the next week.
- 23:23Speaker 1: I haven't heard that a whole lot. I liked that
- 23:25Speaker 1: you brought it up because I want to see how
- 23:26Speaker 1: he handled it. He haled it well.
- 23:28Speaker 3: He handled it the unfortunately, like the best way you can,
- 23:31Speaker 3: like being like I didn't even know.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Knew about that. Yeah, and Fray b hype. Dude.
- 23:35Speaker 3: If like, if I was a head coach and I
- 23:37Speaker 3: just beat you at even some of your own games,
- 23:39Speaker 3: I'd be on the sideline like hype as fuck.
- 23:42Speaker 2: I'm him. You'd be like my home, Yeah, I'm him.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Shake that hand out of the game, just like yeah, motherfuckers.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Raybel talked ship dude heavy in games. I remember being
- 23:53Speaker 1: out there and the player hasn't even started yet. I
- 23:55Speaker 1: could hear Rabel talking shit to a dB or a
- 23:57Speaker 1: linebacker on the other team, like he's that's him. So
- 24:02Speaker 1: but it was really enjoyable that more. We gotta get
- 24:04Speaker 1: him on again. Yeah, yeah, you think he's gonna come
- 24:07Speaker 1: on during the bye week. No, I don't, but he
- 24:11Speaker 1: did say he would. Yeah, and so we'll send him
- 24:14Speaker 1: a fine one.
- 24:14Speaker 2: The good thing is he came late, so we have
- 24:17Speaker 2: that over his head just for some negotiat. Don't have
- 24:21Speaker 2: to pay him anymore.
- 24:23Speaker 3: Yeah, technically, depending what our price is for the fine.

- 25:54Speaker 1: us a big favor too, coming on here. You know,
- 25:56Speaker 1: one of our being a big guest early in the pod.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Pretty much put you guys on the map, you think so.
- 26:02Speaker 1: I would say, Delaney put us on the map, and
- 26:04Speaker 1: then Jalen Ramsey put us on.
- 26:06Speaker 2: The back and look at the content and the hills
- 26:08Speaker 2: and the number of yea. I'm proud of you guys.
- 26:11Speaker 2: I appreciate that. Man. Yeah, your social media managers do
- 26:14Speaker 2: big things. Papa, how do we even start this? Same water?
- 26:18Speaker 2: I don't know what do I get? Get you want something?
- 26:20Speaker 2: Would love some water? Get your water, some body armor.
- 26:24Speaker 2: How's the summer been to Canada? Now?
- 26:28Speaker 1: I'm going to Canada August fourth. I'll be there until
- 26:31Speaker 1: September tenth, and so we're going. We have a couple
- 26:34Speaker 1: of stops for training camp. One thing in Boston, so
- 26:38Speaker 1: we're going. I think we're going to Raiders and Chargers.
- 26:39Speaker 2: What do you get in Boston? The Barstool Awards Always
- 26:43Speaker 2: we're up for an award right now? What are you
- 26:45Speaker 2: guys up best newcomer who knows man? I think maybe
- 26:47Speaker 2: the most pod? Yeah, best average pod. I know what
- 26:51Speaker 2: you're up for. You know, we really don't I know.
- 26:53Speaker 2: We know we're presenting an award, but we're also up
- 26:55Speaker 2: for an award. What are you presenting? We don't know.
- 26:57Speaker 2: We don't know anything of how things roll. Yeah, it's
- 27:01Speaker 2: not planned out. Uh no, you don't have a hot script. No,
- 27:05Speaker 2: you know how it is. You just go off the cuff,
- 27:07Speaker 2: dude from the hip. Baby's getting big? She is, isn't
- 27:10Speaker 2: she funny? This is exactly how I thought this pot
- 27:13Speaker 2: would start, didn't she?
- 27:15Speaker 1: Our relationship with you is so unique and Will and
- 27:17Speaker 1: I would talk about it all the time because you
- 27:20Speaker 1: do a great job of being a head coach and
- 27:24Speaker 1: then pivoting you want and then being a boy.
- 27:26Speaker 2: What's the best flave? M guess it's better warm. It's
- 27:35Speaker 2: room tamp room tamp goes down better that way.
- 27:42Speaker 1: I'm saying that this is exactly how the pot I
- 27:43Speaker 1: thought the pot would go. Like at the beginning of
- 27:45Speaker 1: this pot, just like getting into the whole thing. Because rape,
- 27:48Speaker 1: like we've talked about this pot before, twenty eighteen rapes
- 27:51Speaker 1: and twenty twenty three rapes are two totally different rapes,
- 27:54Speaker 1: a little more rough around the edges. At first, trying
- 27:57Speaker 1: to trying to implement a culture. So at first bullets
- 27:59Speaker 1: for there is a bunch of smoke out there. We're
- 28:02Speaker 1: just trying to figure out who the new guy is
- 28:03Speaker 1: around here, and he's been headed on a switch on
- 28:05Speaker 1: a swivel and so and so you're thinking, Okay, this
- 28:08Speaker 1: coach is an asshole.
- 28:09Speaker 2: I'm excited to see how you're going about and then
- 28:12Speaker 2: but like, no worries.
- 28:13Speaker 1: Now as the relationship grew, it's like you do a
- 28:16Speaker 1: good job of doing this gota hey, you like in
- 28:21Speaker 1: out like you're chirping, and then you're being a boy
- 28:24Speaker 1: and then it's yelling.
- 28:25Speaker 2: It is a tough place to navigate, is that? Is
- 28:29Speaker 2: that from this perspective of being a head coach and
- 28:32Speaker 2: having played and having kids that are twenty three, twenty one,
- 28:37Speaker 2: I mean it's like, what's enough, what's not enough? Still
- 28:41Speaker 2: got you know? I think the one thing that I've
- 28:43Speaker 2: tried to do is make connections but still hold guys accountable,
- 28:48Speaker 2: however that may be.
- 28:49Speaker 1: Did you find that difficult when you first started, like
- 28:51Speaker 1: when you're at Ohio State first?
- 28:53Speaker 2: Right?
- 28:53Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 28:53Speaker 2: Different? I mean different in college. I mean it's it's
- 28:56Speaker 2: much different, But I don't think I coached any differently.
- 28:59Speaker 2: It college that I did in Houston or here. I
- 29:02Speaker 2: think it's just grows, just like your Guys' podcast has grown.
- 29:07Speaker 2: There's more responsibility, there's more appearances, there's more that you do,
- 29:12Speaker 2: the higher up that you go.
- 29:14Speaker 3: Yeah, obviously you're you become a head coach when you
- 29:16Speaker 3: came to the Tides. Like, what do you feel like
- 29:17Speaker 3: you've learned the most since that first year?
- 29:20Speaker 2: Uh, that you can plan for a lot of things,
- 29:22Speaker 2: but there's some things that you can't plan for. There's
- 29:26Speaker 2: always going to be distractions. There are always going to
- 29:29Speaker 2: be things. Just being flexible, being willing to say, hey,
- 29:33Speaker 2: you're going to have to move away from your script,
- 29:36Speaker 2: you know. I think some of our best practices were
- 29:38Speaker 2: the ones where we just went out there and we
- 29:40Speaker 2: put the ball down, said call it first and ten,
- 29:44Speaker 2: second and three, third and eight whatever it is. Now
- 29:46Speaker 2: we're down the red zone or it's fourth down. I
- 29:49Speaker 2: mean those are where you you know, that's where the
- 29:52Speaker 2: game's played. So I think realistically, it's just being being
- 29:54Speaker 2: able to adjust and be flexible. With that comes awareness.
- 30:00Speaker 3: Do you feel like there are moments or situations in
- 30:02Speaker 3: that first year that brought that awareness up?
- 30:03Speaker 2: That's like I got to do it a little bit differently.
- 30:05Speaker 2: The next time. This happens. I mean, I think that
- 30:09Speaker 2: that happens the other year, in the first year, the
- 30:11Speaker 2: second year. That you know, every year, you're always trying
- 30:13Speaker 2: to learn. You're trying to figure out what's best for
- 30:16Speaker 2: the team. You know, what's good for practice, what's good
- 30:20Speaker 2: for certain player. Veteran guy, young guy. I mean, I
- 30:25Speaker 2: don't think you ever have any the answers. You try
- 30:28Speaker 2: to hire a staff, you try to make changes, and
- 30:30Speaker 2: you know, try to get everything perfect and then then
- 30:33Speaker 2: go out and practice. But I don't know if there
- 30:35Speaker 2: was any like one moment. I mean, hell, our first game,
- 30:39Speaker 2: it was an eight hour game in Miami, two two
- 30:42Speaker 2: hour rain delays. That didn't cover that in the in
- 30:46Speaker 2: the coaching manual. So we what member with Tuzak and
- 30:51Speaker 2: and Akers were going up on the third deck to
- 30:54Speaker 2: buy like many pizzas. Really guys were starving. You went
- 30:59Speaker 2: night rule went night nights. Remember that night night out.
- 31:03Speaker 2: I was out there.
- 31:04Speaker 1: These men had on a swim was not on a
- 31:06Speaker 1: swift there, but was so you saw me.
- 31:08Speaker 2: I was finishing the ball. Yeah, yeah, said that was
- 31:14Speaker 2: the blindside. That was when they put the blind side
- 31:16Speaker 2: block in. Yeah. I think the next year is when
- 31:18Speaker 2: they implemented the rule. I think they implemented after the game.
- 31:23Speaker 2: The game, we won't do that anymore.
- 31:25Speaker 1: That was a wild situation that whole game in general,
- 31:28Speaker 1: because then Delaney broke his leg. Also, we literally go
- 31:31Speaker 1: out I think it was like two minutes left in
- 31:33Speaker 1: the first half when they had a rain delay, so
- 31:35Speaker 1: we literally went out and had to do two minute
- 31:37Speaker 1: minute to start.
- 31:38Speaker 2: It's like we're in there practicing walking through in the
- 31:40Speaker 2: locker room.
- 31:41Speaker 1: Yeah, we literally I've never been a part of a
- 31:43Speaker 1: game where you're like, all right, just take your pads off.
- 31:45Speaker 2: Everyone relaxed, We're not going anywhere. For a while, it
- 31:47Speaker 2: was it was it was wild, and it was halftime.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Then we went back out a nuts. Yeah, that was
- 31:55Speaker 2: that was a while.
- 31:56Speaker 1: You bring up speaking of the rules over the last years,
- 32:00Speaker 1: what rules?
- 32:01Speaker 2: What rule have you hated the most that's been implemented?
- 32:06Speaker 2: What rule? That's a good question. I mean I think
- 32:11Speaker 2: that the rules have always you know, I don't know
- 32:13Speaker 2: if I hate any of them. I think that you know,
- 32:16Speaker 2: you talk about defenseless receiver, like I think the players
- 32:19Speaker 2: have changed their behavior, think for the good. I mean
- 32:22Speaker 2: you look at some of those NFL film clips, even
- 32:24Speaker 2: from like ten or twelve years ago, and you're like,
- 32:27Speaker 2: my god, yeah, like yeah, but I give credit to
- 32:31Speaker 2: the players for changing their behavior. Lower inner target. I
- 32:35Speaker 2: think that's a good rule. You know. We'll see where
- 32:38Speaker 2: the kickoff thing goes. We'll see how that it, you know, adjusts,
- 32:41Speaker 2: and does it affect, you know, the ability to return football.
- 32:45Speaker 2: I think the teams will still you know, I'm sure
- 32:46Speaker 2: you have a take on it, being you know, we
- 32:49Speaker 2: we all played special teams, so kickoff still needs to
- 32:52Speaker 2: be a part of the game, and I think it will.
- 32:55Speaker 2: But when you look at the analytics and the numbers,
- 32:59Speaker 2: just trying to do something and to help the players
- 33:02Speaker 2: in the safety of it. So I don't know if
- 33:04Speaker 2: there's any been any rule changes that I've that I've hated.
- 33:07Speaker 2: What about as a fucking football player guy, not as
- 33:10Speaker 2: a head coach? Early two thousands do yeah, I remember
- 33:13Speaker 2: there was one year where I don't know if it
- 33:15Speaker 2: was twenty twenty. But because you always do a good
- 33:18Speaker 2: job like coaching within the rules and be like guys,
- 33:20Speaker 2: I fucking I trust me. I hated it.
- 33:21Speaker 3: I disagree. Blah blah blah, but this is how we
- 33:23Speaker 3: have to do it. I want to say it was
- 33:24Speaker 3: maybe maybe d backs or people coming in to cut
- 33:30Speaker 3: polers or something like that that was kind of like, man,
- 33:32Speaker 3: what the fuck do you want these guys to do?
- 33:34Speaker 2: Yeah, but what I mean you look at that, and
- 33:36Speaker 2: that hasn't effected the plays. I mean, these tackles, these
- 33:39Speaker 2: guys can still get out of the edge, but the
- 33:41Speaker 2: tackles didn't like when those guys would go low with them.
- 33:45Speaker 2: And so what it's done is it's forced them to
- 33:47Speaker 2: slow down, right, because if they keep going Taylor, then
- 33:50Speaker 2: the dB just sticks and avoids, right. We talked about that.
- 33:53Speaker 2: We saw Christian Fulton stick and dip underneath and make
- 33:57Speaker 2: a play. But then if the lineman comes to back
- 34:00Speaker 2: and just gets in the way, well then the collision
- 34:02Speaker 2: isn't that bad. So I don't think it's affected really.
- 34:04Speaker 2: The one that's affected it has been on those those
- 34:08Speaker 2: slip screens where you used to have to go out
- 34:10Speaker 2: there and throw and you had no chance and you're
- 34:12Speaker 2: just trying to get in the way with the guy.
- 34:14Speaker 2: Uh he, And so they're really those aren't haven't been
- 34:17Speaker 2: really good players around the league. And I think probably
- 34:19Speaker 2: that one has been the only one that's affected has
- 34:23Speaker 2: been affected by that. The toss cracks, the perimeter runs
- 34:26Speaker 2: and some of those screens. You know. Hell, it's kept
- 34:29Speaker 2: Ben kept Ben's uniform clean for a couple of years
- 34:31Speaker 2: because he just go out there and belly flopping every
- 34:34Speaker 2: single time. It'd be just grass standing out there on
- 34:37Speaker 2: the front side of those screens. So that one, and
- 34:39Speaker 2: I think Taylor will agree that if you didn't go
- 34:42Speaker 2: out there and throw at the guy, you just weren't going.
- 34:44Speaker 1: To be able to get the dB on that No,
- 34:46Speaker 1: especially with all that space. If they're up a little
- 34:48Speaker 1: bit more like path screen or something like that, it's
- 34:50Speaker 1: a little bit easier. But they're out there, yeah, Mecher
- 34:53Speaker 1: trailer or something like that.
- 34:54Speaker 2: And we coached to them. We coach to whatever the
- 34:56Speaker 2: rules are and try to try to help everybody and
- 34:59Speaker 2: take use them to advantage. That's a good job. That
- 35:04Speaker 2: was a good around pivoting. That was you're you're very
- 35:06Speaker 2: well spoken. Well, dice it up a little bit. Let's go.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Yeah, as a football fucking player, guy, which rule do
- 35:13Speaker 1: you hate the most?
- 35:14Speaker 2: Give me fucking three options? Like I don't even you
- 35:16Speaker 2: know what I mean? Like what are we talking about quarterback?
- 35:20Speaker 2: Being around was probably the thing for you as a player.
- 35:22Speaker 2: That was like hard to being around the knees of
- 35:24Speaker 2: the quarterback when you're rushing being a pass rusher.
- 35:28Speaker 1: We pay these guys fifty million dollars at the time.
- 35:30Speaker 1: You weren't paying nobody. You were a player, you were
- 35:33Speaker 1: rushing the past.
- 35:33Speaker 2: I wouldn't have liked that one. You would hated it,
- 35:35Speaker 2: you know what I mean. Like, but like, you got
- 35:38Speaker 2: to protect these guys. What do you want to see
- 35:40Speaker 2: all the court? Nobody's gonna watch to Okay, And I
- 35:45Speaker 2: tell you I don't mind the quarterback being protected below
- 35:48Speaker 2: the knee, and I mean outside of pocket. Where are
- 35:51Speaker 2: we going on a quarterback? Thank you, Taylor, Yo, thank you.
- 35:56Speaker 2: Thank you for paying attention to the team meeting.
- 35:58Speaker 1: Yeah, we got to talk with the team meetings like
- 36:00Speaker 1: that was your first year the most terrifying ship because.
- 36:06Speaker 3: Defensive questions and you're all in the same meeting. You
- 36:10Speaker 3: haven't listening to any of our Kevin BYRT episode.
- 36:12Speaker 2: No, I haven't listened to any I only listen to mine.
- 36:14Speaker 2: That's okay, that's right, that's course.
- 36:21Speaker 3: No, Well a couple then, Yeah, I was rested in
- 36:24Speaker 3: the KB one because we were talking about how much
- 36:26Speaker 3: you know it sucked that first year playing for Braves
- 36:29Speaker 3: compared to years years later.
- 36:32Speaker 1: Suck it was you weren't used to it. That's that's
- 36:34Speaker 1: your perspective. But I'm we're saying a slayer. So we
- 36:36Speaker 1: go in the locker room, We're like this fucking guy
- 36:39Speaker 1: tough fair?
- 36:41Speaker 2: Yeah, No, what you're u saying my my opinions? Fair?
- 36:44Speaker 2: Are you saying butt fair? Butt fair? Okay? Like or no?
- 36:49Speaker 1: I wouldn't say you were extremely fair. In twenty eighteen,
- 36:53Speaker 1: here's what I thought, if I couldn't.
- 36:55Speaker 2: Words words, coach, you.
- 37:00Speaker 1: Get the bag, get the bag, the bag, show you
- 37:07Speaker 1: how fair I am.
- 37:08Speaker 2: I've brought the rest of your stuff. In February February
- 37:11Speaker 2: twenty seven, twenty twenty three, Taylor was thanking the Titans
- 37:15Speaker 2: for bringing their stuff. I do if we brought the
- 37:17Speaker 2: rest of the stuff. When I opened this, there's nothing
- 37:20Speaker 2: in there. It was just a prop I needed. Just
- 37:22Speaker 2: put it together, get basket or something the top of it. Yeah.
- 37:26Speaker 1: But twenty eighteen, here's my perspective looking at it. Zoomed
- 37:30Speaker 1: out new coach head coach implementing the culture he wants
- 37:34Speaker 1: to implement. Came from the Bill Belichick tree of the Patriots.
- 37:37Speaker 1: You're walking into a very loose.
- 37:39Speaker 2: Were we young then? Was twenty two? We were a
- 37:41Speaker 2: young team. I mean no, in there, it wasn't too young,
- 37:46Speaker 2: but a good mix.
- 37:46Speaker 1: And I feel like there in college, a head coach
- 37:50Speaker 1: comes in, he's weeding out the week. Immediately, he's cutting
- 37:53Speaker 1: the grass to find the snakes. Yeah, and I feel
- 37:56Speaker 1: like that's where you went. At what point did you think, Okay,
- 37:59Speaker 1: I've got a good grass.
- 38:00Speaker 2: I respected absolutely, And I've said this before on record
- 38:05Speaker 2: that nobody complained, nobody bitched. You know, we got buy
- 38:09Speaker 2: in from from Drell, from Rack, all those guys on defense,
- 38:16Speaker 2: and from the guys on offense. So Delaney, I mean,
- 38:18Speaker 2: it was like it was easy for me because it
- 38:23Speaker 2: was like these guys, you know, I said, they're going
- 38:26Speaker 2: to hold the best players the most accountable, and we
- 38:29Speaker 2: tried to do that, and I thought it'd sent a
- 38:30Speaker 2: good message and guys didn't bristle, guys didn't like because
- 38:34Speaker 2: you I think I tried to make it relevant to coaching.
- 38:37Speaker 2: It wasn't just a to bitch to bitch like Taylor,
- 38:41Speaker 2: We're gonna we're gonna get to the line of scrimmage.
- 38:44Speaker 2: Whether Taylor wanted to get to the line of scrimmage.
- 38:45Speaker 2: Eventually he got got to the fucking line of scrimmage.
- 38:48Speaker 2: But that was our like little pissing contest when we
- 38:51Speaker 2: first got there. Yeah, there was a lot of conflict
- 38:53Speaker 2: before cooperation with you and me. It was fine.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Yeah, no, it worked out great, right, Yeah, but it
- 38:59Speaker 1: was tough that first here. What was it like coaching
- 39:01Speaker 1: a guy like Taylor and then coaching a guy like
- 39:02Speaker 1: Ben Jones?
- 39:05Speaker 2: Well, I think I respect. The one thing I have
- 39:06Speaker 2: done is I respect that there's a lot of different
- 39:08Speaker 2: personalities and there's a lot of way to get your
- 39:10Speaker 2: job done. And I have a great relationship with Taylor,
- 39:13Speaker 2: great relationship with Ben, and but I mean, held they're
- 39:17Speaker 2: opposite is can be? I mean it's like Taylor, I
- 39:21Speaker 2: realized just Taylor wanted a bitch, just the bitch sometimes
- 39:25Speaker 2: because that's who Taylor was. But he wasn't like he
- 39:27Speaker 2: never did the work. It wasn't like he didn't put
- 39:29Speaker 2: the work in. Wasn't like he didn't run or lift
- 39:31Speaker 2: or whatever. He just like, Okay, Taylor, we know you're here.
- 39:35Speaker 2: You don't really have to tell us that you're here.
- 39:37Speaker 2: We know you're here. But it was fine and I
- 39:40Speaker 2: didn't have a problem. I mean it was like we
- 39:43Speaker 2: asked him to do something, he did it. He worked
- 39:46Speaker 2: already ran, he was at the front of the back,
- 39:47Speaker 2: you know. I mean it was like, so I didn't
- 39:50Speaker 2: but that's who Taylor is. It's like we respected it
- 39:53Speaker 2: and you know, want to lift this way? Okay, yeah,
- 39:56Speaker 2: you know, modify the workout. Who gives a shit just
- 39:59Speaker 2: getting the weight? Ro Was that always that? No? Yeah,
- 40:02Speaker 2: that's definitely that sounds about right. I bring up literally
- 40:05Speaker 2: you and Ben. You're you're sitting here.
- 40:06Speaker 3: We were just talking about you, and then I think Ben,
- 40:08Speaker 3: because you guys are very different. Yeah, So it's almost
- 40:11Speaker 3: like figuring out communicating with players when you're when you're
- 40:14Speaker 3: more so not as much the coordinator or a position
- 40:16Speaker 3: coach anymore. When you're the head coach and you you
- 40:18Speaker 3: probably have to maybe listen a little bit more versus
- 40:20Speaker 3: being like yo, just fucking do this or run to
- 40:22Speaker 3: the head man if you want to change something.
- 40:24Speaker 2: Yeah, you know what I'm saying.
- 40:25Speaker 1: I would always notice like like if I'm a coach,
- 40:29Speaker 1: I'm confiding in Ben a lot more than confiding in me.
- 40:31Speaker 1: Ben is like as trustfully as they come, as tough
- 40:34Speaker 1: as they come, knows all the players. Literally, he could,
- 40:37Speaker 1: I'm correct if I'm wrong, he could probably sit in
- 40:39Speaker 1: a coach's meeting, an offensive meeting, and and tell everybody
- 40:41Speaker 1: what they're doing.
- 40:43Speaker 2: You have to, like the inside linebacker, you know everybody's job.
- 40:46Speaker 2: You know what where the front's supposed to be, you
- 40:48Speaker 2: know what the coverage is supposed to be. I mean,
- 40:50Speaker 2: the center has to know where everybody's blocking. I used
- 40:53Speaker 2: to love when Keith would be in there and he'd ask,
- 40:56Speaker 2: like the left guard, the rookie left guard, what the
- 40:59Speaker 2: right tackle has on eighteen watro And I'm like thinking
- 41:04Speaker 2: to myself, what fucking difference is make? Ben's just gonna
- 41:06Speaker 2: tell everybody.
- 41:07Speaker 1: What to do the question Ben like see triple yeah, man, reach,
- 41:12Speaker 1: let's go and then with it like but looking at that,
- 41:15Speaker 1: Ben's no longer on the team, Like Brewer is a
- 41:17Speaker 1: great football peractly, and he's like, you said it yourself,
- 41:20Speaker 1: tough is a two dollars steak, not the best guy
- 41:22Speaker 1: at enunciating a little more quiet than Ben was, like,
- 41:25Speaker 1: is that is that something you've worked on during well again.
- 41:28Speaker 2: Last year we went through a situation where on a
- 41:33Speaker 2: short week going to Green Bay on the road, Brew
- 41:36Speaker 2: had to play center four days and I saw saw
- 41:40Speaker 2: him over the course of four days prepare, communicate, get
- 41:44Speaker 2: those guys ready to go all the way up until
- 41:46Speaker 2: we left the hotel from Green Bay. You know, those
- 41:49Speaker 2: short weeks, you're cramming in everything you can. And it
- 41:54Speaker 2: was like, that's exactly what we're looking for. You're gonna
- 41:57Speaker 2: be different than then, You're gonna lead differently than Ben.
- 42:00Speaker 2: We're gonna need you to leave, like that's what the
- 42:01Speaker 2: center has to do. Uh. In the offensive line, it.
- 42:06Speaker 1: Was awesome bruise around Brew, I mean a little bit
- 42:10Speaker 1: the second the second time.
- 42:11Speaker 2: What was that twenty twenty one. Yeah, he's your second stint,
- 42:14Speaker 2: the second stint, but try to work on a thrown second.
- 42:17Speaker 1: Yeah, the second sting when you know, you had to
- 42:19Speaker 1: cut me and I didn't number. It's a number here
- 42:22Speaker 1: and I didn't hear from it. The numbers thing I
- 42:24Speaker 1: didn't hear from me. Brought you back?
- 42:26Speaker 2: Yeah, but I never heard from you the day of
- 42:27Speaker 2: the cut. Oh you didn't go to the back the
- 42:29Speaker 2: next day.
- 42:30Speaker 1: Yeah, but I never heard from you. You didn't have
- 42:32Speaker 1: the shows to bring your boy in and cut him.
- 42:34Speaker 1: You were going to be in the meeting the next
- 42:35Speaker 1: morning you re signed. You I had the way my
- 42:37Speaker 1: options oh okay or option A. When you cut will
- 42:46Speaker 1: you didn't bring him to the office or anything like that.
- 42:48Speaker 3: I didn't get a phone call, you know, like hey,
- 42:50Speaker 3: when would you like to No, I got snipped newtered.
- 42:55Speaker 2: That's a old fashioned way.
- 42:57Speaker 1: Did do it a couple of times? They probably thought, Oh,
- 42:58Speaker 1: this guy's got tough skin, he's been here. Yeah, it's
- 43:01Speaker 1: just funny. They're like, hey, we know this is going
- 43:05Speaker 1: to happen. It's still hwer man. I didn't get coming back.
- 43:08Speaker 2: We brought you back and then we elevated you after that.
- 43:12Speaker 2: Yeah yeah.
- 43:13Speaker 1: Ravens speaking of cutting guys, well, it's like the most
- 43:16Speaker 1: awkward or is there a situation there was a guy
- 43:18Speaker 1: like just livid, yelling, screaming mad, or like an awkward
- 43:21Speaker 1: situation when you're cutting somebody.
- 43:23Speaker 2: I mean, this is you know, that's this is tough.
- 43:26Speaker 2: Haven't been through it as a player, you know, you
- 43:29Speaker 2: go all the way through training camp. I mean it's
- 43:32Speaker 2: like you spent a lot of time with guys even
- 43:34Speaker 2: more so than regular season, Like the training camp is
- 43:37Speaker 2: like long days, you know, and it's just like you
- 43:40Speaker 2: know that things are going to happen, and you can
- 43:42Speaker 2: only keep so many guys, and I think just you know,
- 43:46Speaker 2: you just try to put yourself in their position and
- 43:48Speaker 2: try to be as respectful as possible, and you know,
- 43:51Speaker 2: be as honest as you can. I think I've always
- 43:53Speaker 2: tried to be honest. I think our organization has tried
- 43:56Speaker 2: to be honest and say, yeah, we would like to
- 43:59Speaker 2: bring you back on a practice squad or there's been
- 44:01Speaker 2: numerous times where we've said we're probably not going to
- 44:04Speaker 2: have a spot for you on the practice squad. And
- 44:06Speaker 2: I think players at least appreciate the honesty so they
- 44:10Speaker 2: know where they stand.
- 44:11Speaker 1: There's never been a guy that lost their mind.
- 44:15Speaker 2: I mean you fairly, you know. I mean there's been,
- 44:20Speaker 2: you know, in five years, there's been you know, maybe
- 44:23Speaker 2: one or two where you know, it.
- 44:25Speaker 1: Gets a little dicey, you know, called Jeb, You're just
- 44:28Speaker 1: not gonna do shit exactly all stretch.
- 44:31Speaker 2: Yeah, it hasn't been anything.
- 44:34Speaker 1: I think the year before you got there, like twenty seventeen,
- 44:38Speaker 1: some guy got cut. He went to the sauna pissing
- 44:40Speaker 1: the rocks and the sauna, and for weeks no sna
- 44:43Speaker 1: the sauna was it just smelled terrible in there.
- 44:46Speaker 2: So I think I was twelve, and we had like
- 44:48Speaker 2: an overnight stay at like the tennis and racket club
- 44:51Speaker 2: back in Akron, Ohio, like Friday night, like kids night
- 44:54Speaker 2: or whatever, and they locked the doors until like six
- 44:57Speaker 2: in the morning, so he like run around could ball
- 45:00Speaker 2: courts or firing the you know, racket balls at everybody.
- 45:04Speaker 2: And so I remember in sauna and some dude pissed
- 45:07Speaker 2: in the sauna and the instructor came in, big meathead,
- 45:12Speaker 2: and he wouldn't let us leave the sauna until and
- 45:15Speaker 2: I'm like, listen, I'm fucking fat and I'm sweating, and
- 45:19Speaker 2: it's midnight. You need to own up to this ship
- 45:21Speaker 2: because we're He kept us in the sauna like we're
- 45:23Speaker 2: just like weathering away until the dude finally said who
- 45:28Speaker 2: was me? Thank god, and like we all want rushing
- 45:31Speaker 2: out of the sauna.
- 45:32Speaker 1: What an embarrassing situation for that guy to sit there
- 45:34Speaker 1: with a bunch of kids and be like.
- 45:37Speaker 2: The one that knows them. No, I mean I think
- 45:39Speaker 2: it was like he was probably older, you know, I
- 45:41Speaker 2: mean I was like, you're still twelve, Like, yeah, awkward,
- 45:44Speaker 2: twelve a tough year, you know, you know Rave Goat
- 45:49Speaker 2: growing up in Ohio, Like, Rave's got some story. Mullet,
- 45:52Speaker 2: There's no question Mullet rocked the Mullet.
- 45:55Speaker 1: It was what was it like being a dad having
- 45:58Speaker 1: twelve thirteen year olds finding themselves? You know what they're
- 46:03Speaker 1: you know what their search history looks like on the
- 46:04Speaker 1: explore page.
- 46:05Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like chen it like three four, five, six knocks,
- 46:10Speaker 2: Like if the doors locked, why is the door locked?
- 46:13Speaker 2: We know why the door showers? Yeah, that's fucking that's
- 46:17Speaker 2: a tough deal. Yeah, it sounds like quarantine. It sounds
- 46:20Speaker 2: like you ever caught one of them? You ever caught
- 46:22Speaker 2: one of them tugging it? Hell no, I would deny
- 46:26Speaker 2: it if I did.
- 46:27Speaker 1: Yeah, no, no, no, no, it's definitely Carter.
- 46:34Speaker 2: No. I meant I've I've caught Carter, but not Carter
- 46:40Speaker 2: tugging it. Yeah. Not not, not in the middle of
- 46:43Speaker 2: the deal. Somebody else was probably tugging it.
- 46:47Speaker 1: Hey, dad has got to be As a dad, you're
- 46:49Speaker 1: kind of like, hey, nice, but at the same time
- 46:51Speaker 1: you're like that you can't do.
- 46:52Speaker 2: That in this house. No, you can't do that.
- 46:54Speaker 1: I had one of those situations with my dad one time.
- 46:57Speaker 1: Was you yeah, like there was nothing like like that.
- 47:00Speaker 1: We were kind of just like kissing on my bed
- 47:01Speaker 1: and her shirt was off.
- 47:02Speaker 2: I was you were just kind of kissing. He went
- 47:05Speaker 2: into the mic, was like kind of kissing, you know.
- 47:09Speaker 1: I was just tearing up my denim. I was kind
- 47:11Speaker 1: of like, you know, and then all of a sudden,
- 47:13Speaker 1: I hear loud footsteps and I thought, oh fuck, it's over.
- 47:15Speaker 1: And then my day walked the cover the little girl
- 47:17Speaker 1: and goes you get out.
- 47:19Speaker 2: She gets out, and he's like, you talk about the
- 47:22Speaker 2: walk of shame. Oh, she was rattled for days.
- 47:26Speaker 1: But he kind of like low key gave me a
- 47:28Speaker 1: fist pump is like, you should have been working out,
- 47:30Speaker 1: you should have been training for football, Like, gave me
- 47:31Speaker 1: a whole talk of how to stay focused on ball
- 47:33Speaker 1: and all that.
- 47:34Speaker 2: It's kind of the deal man. That was the omen.
- 47:36Speaker 1: We interf this episode yet again for another read, and
- 47:38Speaker 1: that ad read is one of our favorites, one of
- 47:41Speaker 1: our Yeah, that's true, so I take that back. But also,
- 47:45Speaker 1: but these fucking guys have been here for a long
- 47:48Speaker 1: time time, and that.

- 48:46Speaker 1: Back to this episode, we're backrolling a little bit of
- 48:50Speaker 1: technical difficulties. That kind of is nice, though a little
- 48:52Speaker 1: nostalgic feeling, because when we first started with Rayon on
- 48:55Speaker 1: the bus, we always had stuff like that.
- 48:57Speaker 2: What I'm going going by, gud nerves curves, You guys,
- 49:03Speaker 2: have upgraded.
- 49:04Speaker 3: This is nice. We're a better spot now. Yeah, he's
- 49:07Speaker 3: being the last time. Yeah, you were like one of
- 49:10Speaker 3: the first five episodes, was it first five for seven eight?
- 49:14Speaker 2: One of them that was I.
- 49:15Speaker 1: Will tell you that was like a breath of fresh air.
- 49:17Speaker 1: When we asked you to come on, You're like, yes,
- 49:19Speaker 1: because that's like the biggest.
- 49:21Speaker 2: Nervous thing is when you have it was absolutely terrified. Yeah.
- 49:23Speaker 1: We had Travis Kelcey on last week and he was
- 49:26Speaker 1: talking about when he started his podcast, how Andy Reidward
- 49:30Speaker 1: feel and then Andy Read went on he felt a
- 49:32Speaker 1: whole lot better and that literally was a massive like
- 49:35Speaker 1: win for us when you came on. Obviously you boost
- 49:38Speaker 1: the numbers. I hate giving you flowers.
- 49:39Speaker 2: I know.
- 49:44Speaker 8: Time.
- 49:44Speaker 1: Yeah, you did say you would cut off your dick
- 49:47Speaker 1: for a Super Bowl. Now, if we're going in order,
- 49:50Speaker 1: that year we went to the AFC Championship between the
- 49:53Speaker 1: Baltimore Ravens game and the Chiefs game. They asked you
- 49:56Speaker 1: about cutting your dick off and you said no, And
- 49:59Speaker 1: so do you feel like.
- 50:02Speaker 2: The Super Bowl ad or whatever? I don't know it
- 50:04Speaker 2: was applied. I was excited. I got caught up in
- 50:08Speaker 2: the moment of the pod, and I was, like I said,
- 50:11Speaker 2: I was just trying to give you guys some clicks.
- 50:13Speaker 2: You did, Hey, you really did? That was nice.
- 50:17Speaker 1: I want to say, like because Jalen came on after him, right,
- 50:21Speaker 1: I remember I believe he did.
- 50:22Speaker 2: But then just say the bar was set. Yeah, and
- 50:27Speaker 2: I'm okay a little bit. But how did you.
- 50:29Speaker 3: Feel when we had started the podcast at first, because
- 50:34Speaker 3: it was fairly newer, especially for players doing it then
- 50:37Speaker 3: because you guys would just pay Taylor a boatload of
- 50:39Speaker 3: money appreciate that.
- 50:40Speaker 2: I mean, I think we just said just can we
- 50:43Speaker 2: not do it during the season or whatever it was.
- 50:45Speaker 2: I don't know, we just have a sit down conversation
- 50:47Speaker 2: about it.
- 50:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know if it was because the del
- 50:50Speaker 3: anyone popped off and that was like an IV story
- 50:53Speaker 3: that he told and it's like, oh, tights tall room
- 50:56Speaker 3: IV whatever, And so you had to make an example
- 50:59Speaker 3: about like, hey, guys, they can take anything that you
- 51:01Speaker 3: say and make it into.
- 51:02Speaker 2: A report, right, And it's just this is a long
- 51:05Speaker 2: conversation and wherever it goes from here, But the point
- 51:11Speaker 2: was that the players is it gets going to get
- 51:14Speaker 2: spliced up and it's gonna get cut and edited by
- 51:16Speaker 2: these these guys, and you know, who knows what's gonna
- 51:19Speaker 2: come out.
- 51:20Speaker 3: You know you wanted to say something I did.
- 51:24Speaker 1: I want to say slap dicks, but you you didn't think.
- 51:29Speaker 1: You know, you didn't have much of a thought on
- 51:30Speaker 1: at all. You didn't really care. No, I didn't care.
- 51:34Speaker 2: No. I mean I was like, I thought it was
- 51:36Speaker 2: going to fall flat on its face. But I you know,
- 51:39Speaker 2: I didn't care. I really had no idea. I mean
- 51:43Speaker 2: I was like, see this ghost, but I didn't care.
- 51:47Speaker 2: I don't think I had like a I mean, it
- 51:49Speaker 2: gave me like it was like free ammunition. I could
- 51:51Speaker 2: just give you guys ship that was yeah. I was yeah.
- 51:55Speaker 1: The first year of every team meeting, I was like, man,
- 51:57Speaker 1: I hope something doesn't come out with the pod. I
- 51:59Speaker 1: was just praying about it. Then you you took your
- 52:03Speaker 1: time if it was.
- 52:05Speaker 2: I didn't want to like wear it out. I wanted
- 52:07Speaker 2: to make sure that's worth it.
- 52:09Speaker 3: The second time around. I feel like I was more
- 52:11Speaker 3: nervous about it for the second stan.
- 52:13Speaker 2: Because you had been you had been going heavy on
- 52:15Speaker 2: social and then it was like the Raiders flicks and
- 52:19Speaker 2: I came back. I got you pretty good at that time,
- 52:22Speaker 2: you're talking about your little presentation presentation. But you watch me.
- 52:27Speaker 1: Let's not get a twisted now. You watched, you watched
- 52:30Speaker 1: all the content. No, no, you would come in the
- 52:33Speaker 1: next day. Hey will, how was the Wendy's Burg.
- 52:35Speaker 2: I have people that do that for me? No, there's
- 52:40Speaker 2: no here we go. You know how much how many
- 52:42Speaker 2: people we have on staff that do that rape.
- 52:45Speaker 1: Here's what I'm going to say, office, Hang on, I
- 52:47Speaker 1: got this, I got I got this. Okay, So the
- 52:49Speaker 1: first year, I guess he's in charge because I.
- 52:55Speaker 2: Haven't really won the power struggle. I know, I haven't
- 52:58Speaker 2: realized example giving it back to him. I'm just know, Well,
- 53:01Speaker 2: make sure the boy is right, and you're right, You're right,
- 53:04Speaker 2: you're right. Hey ten keys, you saw in the group's hat.
- 53:10Speaker 1: Don't let him get But we were.
- 53:15Speaker 3: We were about to play Washington and Lafleur like had
- 53:18Speaker 3: me in a meeting when they were breaking down, like
- 53:21Speaker 3: what the defense is doing because Manusky.
- 53:22Speaker 2: Was still the d C.
- 53:23Speaker 3: YadA YadA, YadA, and Raves was in the meeting and uh,
- 53:27Speaker 3: We're like sitting there. Blame was next to me, Raves
- 53:29Speaker 3: on my left, and there were I won't say any
- 53:32Speaker 3: names with Raves showing me.
- 53:34Speaker 2: Like a couple of head like a couple of stories.
- 53:36Speaker 2: Look at this motherfucker.
- 53:37Speaker 3: You know this ship is so you know either this
- 53:39Speaker 3: ain't true or you know it ain't going down like that.
- 53:41Speaker 3: And he's like, he shows me his phone and I
- 53:43Speaker 3: see that my man's on Instagram. So from that moment,
- 53:45Speaker 3: I always knew like of Raves, he's a he's a
- 53:49Speaker 3: Tier three man.
- 53:49Speaker 2: He's a little closet. He likes the content you surf
- 53:52Speaker 2: the web, and that's okay. I don't like the content,
- 53:55Speaker 2: but I like to know what's going on.
- 53:58Speaker 1: And you also like little bit of a different story
- 54:00Speaker 1: than you were just saying, because you sued to have
- 54:02Speaker 1: people for it.
- 54:03Speaker 2: Yeah, real world experience, fucking heart and soul into that story.
- 54:08Speaker 2: At least I gotta give him a little credit, Like
- 54:10Speaker 2: it not the first blog I wrote. You take a screenshot,
- 54:13Speaker 2: can't wait to read more from the shitter I did.
- 54:16Speaker 2: I meant, I just like to have some ammunition any.
- 54:19Speaker 3: Of my tweets if I get out of line a
- 54:21Speaker 3: little bit with Twitter, or I get too much on
- 54:23Speaker 3: the more like the moral like, oh what are you
- 54:25Speaker 3: the fucking yeah? The moral police? Now you said something.
- 54:27Speaker 3: I remember it was something about like.
- 54:30Speaker 2: Telling about the Darren Bates thing your mindset after Oh
- 54:33Speaker 2: that was? That was?
- 54:34Speaker 3: That was more so that was like a different example,
- 54:36Speaker 3: And I was fucking terrified for my life because I
- 54:41Speaker 3: had taken the video of dB in the locker room.
- 54:43Speaker 2: We had the linebacker room. Like if you were injured
- 54:45Speaker 2: and you were like.
- 54:46Speaker 1: Doing walk through but not practicing, you kind of know
- 54:48Speaker 1: what you're trying to do as a player. It's like
- 54:50Speaker 1: I see you trying to take these walk through the rest,
- 54:52Speaker 1: but you're not actually trying to fucking get in there practice,
- 54:55Speaker 1: So you would essentially I bought this neck break of
- 54:57Speaker 1: Amazon that you'd have to wear around if you just
- 55:00Speaker 1: to walk through and not to practice.
- 55:01Speaker 2: And so when dB.
- 55:02Speaker 3: Had his yellow jersey on for a walk through that
- 55:06Speaker 3: when he came back in the locker room, I like
- 55:08Speaker 3: threw it down, like, hey, you gotta put this on,
- 55:09Speaker 3: and I was like filming in the locker room. Rave
- 55:12Speaker 3: hits me up like maybe nine o'clock at night. It
- 55:15Speaker 3: was a little bit later. I'm sitting theren and watching
- 55:16Speaker 3: before bed. Yeah, and he's like, uh, he sent me,
- 55:20Speaker 3: he sent me the link. And then he goes. You
- 55:24Speaker 3: think this was smart putting out essentially like you know,
- 55:27Speaker 3: something injury related on the internet media.
- 55:30Speaker 1: Rules guidelines, not rules sideline. I might have asked something back,
- 55:35Speaker 1: just feel it out. But just like my heart's beating
- 55:36Speaker 1: right now. My heart was pounding out of my fucking chest.
- 55:39Speaker 3: Dude, yea, like god damn it, Like he's going to
- 55:43Speaker 3: you know, I'm gonna be example tomorrow.
- 55:45Speaker 2: I don't know if he's actually, you know, in like
- 55:48Speaker 2: mad or not like that, because that's the whole like
- 55:50Speaker 2: in like that Taylor was doing that because our dynamic
- 55:57Speaker 2: was always we were always boys outside of the season,
- 56:01Speaker 2: and anytime I'm your player in the season can play
- 56:05Speaker 2: at different It's just like there's like if we had
- 56:07Speaker 2: that breakfast, remember that breakfast at the Renaissance.
- 56:09Speaker 3: Yeah, you got me the conerental. Yeah you bought that
- 56:11Speaker 3: conin rentals for me. Yeah I had some cheerio, yeah,
- 56:15Speaker 3: fresh fruit. I remember that.
- 56:17Speaker 2: He took me around town the City's this is like
- 56:20Speaker 2: he's trying to court you to co f agency visit,
- 56:22Speaker 2: free agency visit.
- 56:24Speaker 3: He's court me around like you know, the president the playoffs.
- 56:26Speaker 3: It's it's popping off on Broadway like it goes down here, he's.
- 56:29Speaker 2: Thirty, he's hitting the continental fifteen minute recruiting spiel. You
- 56:34Speaker 2: do the same thing for DeAndre Hopkins. He still hurts
- 56:42Speaker 2: just as much. But yeah, there was always that dynamic.
- 56:45Speaker 3: So when he sent me that textas, I don't hear
- 56:47Speaker 3: a lot out of him unless there's just something funny
- 56:49Speaker 3: that very wants to come over and like say that
- 56:51Speaker 3: in his mind, he's telling me as a joke. But
- 56:53Speaker 3: in my mind, I'm thinking, like I got to make
- 56:55Speaker 3: sure I'm a player in front of him versus the
- 56:59Speaker 3: person he's Probably he thinks that I could be like
- 57:02Speaker 3: behind the phone or something like that. So he come
- 57:04Speaker 3: up and like tell me a joke, and I'm then
- 57:06Speaker 3: I realized, like I'm like, you know, I laugh or whatever.
- 57:08Speaker 3: I'm just thinking, man, this motherfucker plays an insane level
- 57:10Speaker 3: of mental warfare with me. Yes, So then when he
- 57:12Speaker 3: texted me, I don't know if he like thought it
- 57:15Speaker 3: was funny or he thought like no, I'm actually pissed off.
- 57:18Speaker 3: But I know you guys, like I know, you know,
- 57:19Speaker 3: you just didn't know. So I was terrified to go
- 57:22Speaker 3: to the meeting the next day and he did.
- 57:23Speaker 2: I mean, of course, I see things that you guys
- 57:25Speaker 2: put out there, and then I think when there's really
- 57:27Speaker 2: good ones and they're really funny ones, then I'll take
- 57:29Speaker 2: the Twitter once every six months to Yeah, you do
- 57:32Speaker 2: gracess with your press, throw one back across. Yeah, I
- 57:36Speaker 2: feel like your Twitter just exists the body of miror Well,
- 57:38Speaker 2: it's it.
- 57:39Speaker 3: We've been getting your followers up, though I don't because
- 57:42Speaker 3: at first you had it. You had the Daddy's giving
- 57:45Speaker 3: you clicks. I'm giving your views. Don't use my name
- 57:48Speaker 3: for pogre tag me and all this shit. I'm like,
- 57:50Speaker 3: stop tagging me. But now that it's off the tip,
- 57:55Speaker 3: now it's shifted to.
- 57:56Speaker 2: Where it's like or will we got him.
- 58:01Speaker 3: We got to get the name down where we can
- 58:03Speaker 3: shout him out and help get you know, our favorite
- 58:05Speaker 3: head coach ups and followers.
- 58:06Speaker 1: We're helping the Titans. We're helping the Titans from a distance.
- 58:10Speaker 1: But DeAndre Hopkins not official, but he's coming.
- 58:15Speaker 2: I would imagine that as soon as he signs, it'll
- 58:19Speaker 2: be official.
- 58:20Speaker 1: I mean, yes, yeah, he's coming. It's officially official.
- 58:23Speaker 2: Unofficially, unofficially, I think we've agreed to terms in principle.
- 58:30Speaker 2: Was there we talked about in the bus.
- 58:32Speaker 1: Was there a fear because of how Julio Jones worked
- 58:35Speaker 1: out getting a guy like DeAndre? Different players, oposly, different people,
- 58:38Speaker 1: different mindsets.
- 58:39Speaker 2: Again, anytime in free agency, no, I think, you know, yeah,
- 58:45Speaker 2: you have to have some working knowledge of the player
- 58:48Speaker 2: there they are as a person, who they are in
- 58:50Speaker 2: the building, whether one of your coaches coached him, whether
- 58:55Speaker 2: you knew him, because just for the reasons that we
- 59:00Speaker 2: talked about with the culture and what's it going to
- 59:02Speaker 2: be like and what the expectations are. You know, sometimes
- 59:06Speaker 2: free agency is great. Sometimes you know it's not. So
- 59:10Speaker 2: there's always things that you'd know you have to be
- 59:14Speaker 2: careful of, you know that, just spend a lot of
- 59:18Speaker 2: time with these guys before you draft them, whether it's
- 59:21Speaker 2: combine zoom, spend a day with them here in town
- 59:25Speaker 2: where you bring them in or you go work them
- 59:27Speaker 2: out on their campus, and you just don't have that
- 59:30Speaker 2: sometimes in free agency unless you've been with them. So
- 59:33Speaker 2: we've got some coaches on staff that have been with
- 59:36Speaker 2: with hop me included, so we obviously feel good about it. Yeah,
- 59:40Speaker 2: he's obviously a stud player.
- 59:42Speaker 3: But was there any like hesitation given some of the
- 59:44Speaker 3: high profile free agents you've signed in the past that
- 59:47Speaker 3: didn't necessarily work out, then do you have to basically
- 59:51Speaker 3: do you recruit yourself from that thinking so that way
- 59:53Speaker 3: you can probably.
- 59:54Speaker 2: Yeah, No, I mean, I don't think whatever happened in
- 59:56Speaker 2: the past with another player is going to apply to
- 59:59Speaker 2: this particular player. And things come up, well we'll have
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: to you know, work through them. But I mean, we
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: wouldn't have signed him or wanted to sign them if
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: it were confident that, you know, he'd help us.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: Did you talk to him about blocking? We've seen the
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: Houston tape I can see in the team meeting.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: Now, Yeah, I mean I think that what are we
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: doing here again? You get what you get what you emphasize,
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: and I think that, you know, I'm confident that he'll
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: do what we ask him to do, and certainly that's
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: that's not going to be his number one job, is
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: the is the block. It's not gonna be Trailing's number
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: one job. It's not going to be Kyle's number one job.
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: So you know, we have to do a better job. Coach,
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: speaking to death, but you know, we got to protect
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: the quarterback so that we can you know, throw the
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: ball efficiently. You don't have to throw it fifty times
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: to win, but you got to throw it efficient. Yeah,
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: a lot of noise and the times are in a
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: rebuild year. I don't ever think that in this league.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: I don't never going to believe that. I think that
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: our guys will prepare, our guys will fight, and guys
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: will I think we've got a chance to beat anybody.
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: How do you feel like this roster is different this
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: year than has been? Like, you know, well, I mean
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: we had to move on from veterans. I mean you
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: get to a point where that's what happens in this league,
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: you know, whether it's me getting traded to Kansas City,
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: you know, going into my thirteenth year, or having to
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: move on from from some players or making decisions. I mean,
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: that's how this thing goes, and everybody's aware of it.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: So I think that's the first thing, you know. I mean,
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: we've got some veteran players that I've been with for
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: you know, the five years that I've been here that
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: that we had to move on from, and other players
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: as well. So I think that's probably the biggest you know,
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: it will be the biggest difference. But every years, there's
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: always change every year.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: When you were. Uh, when the whole A. J. Brown
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: thing was going down, he was in contract negotiations. You
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: had a press compensate. As long as I'm the head coach,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: Adrian bow will be on this team. And then all
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: of a sudden he's obviously on the Eagles. What was that?
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: Well, I mean, obviously, as the head coach, you you
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: want every player that you think can help you win
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: on the team. And certainly had a great relationship and
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: still have a relationship with AJ. Yeah, but then sometimes
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: in the business of professional sports, you know, things things
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: go a different direction. And that's it's where they went,
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: happy for AJ, happy for his family, and uh, you know,
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: we got compensated, and now we'll have to keep going
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: it without him, just like we tried last year.
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: What's the warroom like in a situation like that when
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: that night is unfolding and happening.
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: Obviously they haves in there.
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: They got they try and capture reactions, But what's it
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: like like in that kind of situation.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: You want to put to my son that or something?
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: All right, ten the night is yeah, I should have
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: brought my Nie leaves that the uh new like the monarchs, man,
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: you gotta be ready to go at any moment. You
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: got some wide feet, brother, yeah, some pizza feet. So uh.
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: But a lot of those conversations go on. Some of
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: those go on before, Like you're on the clock, right,
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: So we traded whenever we traded this year, and you
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: know you kind of have conversations and you know that's
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: those don't just happen in the in the twelve minutes
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: or ten minutes that you're on the clock. A lot
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: of those times it's you know, talked about before and
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: you know ultimately once they were on the clock, you
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: know they they they made the deal. What's the do
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: you have any more on?
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: I want to like, I want you to take me
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: in that war, like what was it? Back and forth?
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: You remember like their first off or who called who?
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: Uh? I would say that everybody calls everybody in this league.
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: Two weeks leading up to the draft. Yeah, I promise
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: you coaches will talk coach starts at the combine. I
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: think gms will start calling each other so to say
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: like somebody called somebody. I don't ever buy that because
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: they all you know, are talking about Hey, you know
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: you're willing to move up, you're willing to move back?
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: And then you just start trying to you know, figure
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: out where things may go or players or draft picks,
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: and then you know, there's conversations all the way up
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: to the draft, and then it's ultimately it's you know,
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: if we like the deal, we'll call you when we're
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: on the clock.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: If h does it usually happen where if the Titans
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: are on the clock, are you guys more likely to
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: receive calls or send out calls?
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: Well, I think it's hard to send out calls when
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: you're on the clock because then you're probably you know
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: what I mean. Then then you're pretty much I don't
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: know what kind of value you're going to get. You
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: just do if you look and see what's on the
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: board and see, you know what somebody is wanting to
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: come up and give you for a pick, all right?
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: You know what I mean. It's like if we're sitting
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: there at you know, fifty seven or whatever, and somebody
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: has a player, you know, they'll call a couple out, like, hey,
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: if our guys there, would you guys be willing to
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: move back? Sure? You know, And then if they don't call,
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: you assume that you're you're they're the player that they wanted.
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: Got picked, you know, and then it's like, well, who
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: are you taking, Well, we're not, you know, maybe we
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: want the same guy. Yeah, you play that game. So
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: that's kind of how it works. You know, in those
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: later rounds when.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: You were leading up to the game against the Eagles,
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: obviously you probably had a big emphasis on they have
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: a great receiving corpse.
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: They have a great offense across the board.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: When you get in the game and you see Aj
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: doing what AJ's doing, is there a part of you
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: that's like make good for him?
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: Maybe not that, Maybe not right then and there. Yeah,
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: fuck now, you know what I mean. But because I
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: try to look, Yeah, I mean I try to look
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: back and see, you know, that game was a one
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: score game and we jump off sides in the red
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: zone and we get pushed back and we don't you know,
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: finish the drive off, and then it just kind of
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: snowballed from there. You know, quarterback got hit and you know, fumbled,
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: and you know, we couldn't do anything to stop them
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: on big plays. And but I don't know, if I
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: looked at it right then and there, I wouldn't say
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: I'm I'm happy for Aj, but not certainly that day
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: they called it back not that, and then he did
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: another one. Yeah.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: I mean I'm sitting there like, holy shit, dude, this
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: guy's just on a on a mission, you know how
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: AJ is He only needs like some I'm going to
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: say something a little off, let alone getting traded to
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: be like all right, I'm about to go crazy on
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: these guys.
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I would imagine that, knowing that maybe
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: there was you know, motivation. Again, it's negotiations and pro sports,
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: like you've been through it, it's sometimes they they go
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: in different directions.
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: After that game, the transition starts to happen for John
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: gets fired. You guys bringing Ran, Can you talk about
- 1:07:20Speaker 3: that transition as the tides were moving on from a
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: GM that had been here with you the whole time
- 1:07:25Speaker 3: to finding somebody else.
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it was a great process. I mean
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: it was an inclusive process. Brought in a lot of
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: great candidates. I interviewed some some people in house that
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: had been here, and then you know, ultimately went with
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: Ran and Uh. I thought Amy made an amazing decision
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: and been awesome to work with. Brought in some great guys,
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: brought in Chad Brinker and Anthony Robinson, you know, so
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: continue to communicate, continue to talk. Uh. Work through the spring,
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: you know, I thought it was the spring was really good.
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: I thought we got a lot of stuff done. I thought,
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: you know, our ability to work through the draft was
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: really good. So just looking forward to see where we
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: go here in training camp? Was it weird moving on
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: from a GM in the middle of the season. I mean,
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: we all work for somebody, you know what I mean,
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: And so it's like I've got to I support this organization.
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: I support Amy. John hired me, you know what I mean.
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: He was partly responsible. Ultimately Amy had that final decision.
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: But John was a general manager when I got the
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: job here, so a ton of respect for him and
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: a job that he did, you know, and I think
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: we all wish, we you know, wouldn't happen. But you
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: know that's again, we're in professional sports and we know
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: what we signed up for.
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: When you're looking at a situation during the season, after
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: the when din't.
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: You guys get so serious and all this ship? Well,
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: we had fun, We've been having fun, but that's more fun.
- 1:08:57Speaker 3: Would we be able to have more fun if you
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: fucking come on once? Are but you hold this hostage
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: every now and then to come on here.
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: By the way, for those of you listening, this is
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: the only individual it's ever asked for money to come
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: on this podcast. But what kind of money that I
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: asked for? You wanted us to donate for charity? Charity
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: and the boys and the boys showed up.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: Yeah it turned into that. But yeah, you from a
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: great school of fucking negotiating. I know, yes, I know,
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: I'm here, are I You are here, guys step out there.
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: But you're talking about this attire too? Which question for you?
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: Like the man, just like you're a cartoon. If you
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: will see you like this, you just show up on
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: the bus for you. I love it. We can co
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: Jersey bring bring showing your gift. You're ten.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: Joey and the Boys Joey Jerome. Jerome stowed that on today,
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: So I wish you to put year for the last name.
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: I thought you'd want. You know, they probably recognized you.
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: They probably recognized Compton more than they do your face.
- 1:09:57Speaker 8: So but anyway, to answer your question, we get coached
- 1:10:04Speaker 8: very baoning like you knows situation.
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: Yeah we can, we can. You want to talk about that.
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: We get to have fun. It's next on your list. No, usually,
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: we got to make sure we prove, we got to
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: make sure we get the p f T the ESPN's
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: like they're fucking Mike Rayville and busting with the boys.
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: He talked about this. Yeah, we have enough to do.
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: We have job, have a job to do. Green Bay game.
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: Obviously, after the green Bay game with Todd downing, that happened.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: I'm not gonna ask about that because we know the
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: like the chronicle of Todd and how everything happened. But
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: what was your process because obviously Todd was let go,
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: Like when all that is happening, where does your mind
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: go as far as like figuring out because some people
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: are saying, hey, you gotta fire this guy right now.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: Obviously it happened after the season, like from inside the
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: walls of the other.
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I think that those things are two
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: separate situations. Taler. I meant we we all needed to
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: be better on offense, You know what I mean. We
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: we all did, our players and our coaches, starting with me,
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: needed to be better on offense. Then again, the next
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: the next situation that you're referring to is we're all
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: responsible at some point for our choices, our decisions and
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: when things that we do. So I think those are
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: two separate things. I didn't feel like the right thing
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: to do was was to make a move, you know,
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: at that point in time in the season, and uh,
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: you know when when the season ended, I felt like,
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: you know, we needed to have some change in leadership
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: on offense, and and that's what we did.
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: That was I think that's enough serious stuff. If you
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: were to coach, for no, that's okay.
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: But I mean we all do. I mean every day
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: it happens. You know, we try to talk about the
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: decisions that we make, the people surround ourselves with, and
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: and what the habits that were create. And so the trifecta,
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: the trifecta. What was the fun question you're about to ask?
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: Do you remember the trifecta? No? Did you? Did you
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: sit in our meetings? Rabe?
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: Again, we can go back in our text messages. The
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: very first time I impersonated you, you texted that night.
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: Like after that, you forgot everything else I've said. At
- 1:12:20Speaker 3: least I know you're paying attention. Even last year I
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: came in.
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: It was tough because they they I thought you would
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: be a little come, a little stronger.
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: What do you mean I thought you had a little
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: bit more. I thought I had Jeff Simmons shirt like
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: that ship was funny. It was funny. It was funny.
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: But I don't I think he left a little bit
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: out there on the field, left the little meat on
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: the bone. I think, So, what do you think I mean?
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: Give me, give me an honest evaluation. Me personally, it
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: was hard to top year one. Yes it was. And
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: last year it looked to me like you were just
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: laying up too much, like you weren't like going for
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: the fucking green. Well, in my defense, hold on, let
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: me let me all.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: Do I think Will being in the training camp the
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: whole time the first time he did it, he knows
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: all the repetitive things you've been saying. This time he's
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: kind of buffed into a situation and getting some tape
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: and he's like, do I fall back on the same
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: stuff because he knows, like, hey, rape is a little
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: bit different.
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: He handle stuff a little bit differently. So I'm sure
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: new guys stretches having to feed me like I'm like, hey,
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: what are some and all that.
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: I thought it was really good, and especially the new
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: guys that didn't see the first time.
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: I thought I thought he really loved it good. I
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: don't know if it was really good, right.
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: It's one of those things your best players to play
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: their best, you know what.
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: I think pops it off ripping a jewel. Mm hmm,
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: not doing that? Why not? We stopped? We went, we
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: we stopped. Yeah, he say, any stuff, and your hand's
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: been shaking the whole time you've been in here. I
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: know you have this question shot.
- 1:13:59Speaker 3: But we were like I came in the building versus like, hey,
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: do you want to be coach Rabel again?
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: Like coming to training camp? You have it?
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: Hold on back up even more than that, Like a
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: week and a half before that, I went into Rave's
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: office and I was like, hey, we should get will
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: when he comes in expecting no and gets yes. So
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: you said I'll think about it. That you gave me
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: the whole I'll think about it. When I say i'll
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: think about it, it walked away like kind of like
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: you show me to the door, I'll think about it. Yeah,
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: shoot me at the door. And apparently he calls you,
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: like right after that, he's like it kind of has
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: a low voice talking to.
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: I didn't want to tell him. I wanted to say no,
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: but then tell you just set it up.
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: So before the Rookie show, I'm like standing out there
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: with Stretch, Like Stretch stands out there and waits for
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: everybody to get in, and so it's just like get
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: inside and like usually we kind of hang out for
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: a couple of minutes and he's like go and I'm like,
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: why is this man pushing me so much? And I
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: literally had no idea that I got fired up when
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: he walked in. I got fired walk in with the
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: this like hey, that's my boy.
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: Look it stoked out there.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: He's like, this is the games, the rook Games, telling
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: you about the rookies like a bad It was an
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: all right show.
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: There's a couple of good skits in there.
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: They did a bad busting with the boys, and they
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: did a couple of things where I was like, yeah,
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: that's funny.
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: I guess right. But then you came you low key.
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: Saved the show. So was it the best you've ever done?
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: I agree with you know, but you did save the show.
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: It it was that bad of a show. Yeah, I
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: mean it was fun to do.
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: I was nervous to do because I'm like, hey, Stretch,
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: you understand, like I need actual material for me in that.
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: New team meeting room, sick. It's amazing.
- 1:15:29Speaker 3: And then we're back like putting it all together, like
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: going through film clips and everything else, like you could,
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: you could storyline it this way. That way we're making up,
- 1:15:37Speaker 3: you know. I was like, hey, let me get an
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: I love Jeff Simmons shirt to wear in there. We
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: haven't We're about to go out, like hey, Ray, that
- 1:15:43Speaker 3: was the one thing I wanted to clear with him.
- 1:15:44Speaker 3: I was like, can I can I get one of
- 1:15:47Speaker 3: your jewels? Like can I hit a jewel? When I
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: get out there?
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: He's like no, why not? Because I didn't have him
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: in there.
- 1:15:53Speaker 3: And she's like Jen saying it too, like why not?
- 1:15:55Speaker 3: Why won't you let me know? And he was like
- 1:15:56Speaker 3: I let you in the building, Like what you got?
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: No?
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: All right man whatever.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: That was a fun time. Dude, had a little lunch after,
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: but broke a little brad.
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: Yeah, you guys are trying to talk me out of
- 1:16:08Speaker 3: the first time around, the very first one we did
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: in training camp because that's.
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: Time around crush. I still laugh at that ship.
- 1:16:14Speaker 3: Because that one was like, uh, I still laugh braved
- 1:16:16Speaker 3: it and like nobody kind of knew and I had
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: a couple of vets. We were like, hey, you sure you
- 1:16:19Speaker 3: want to do this? This is you know, if you're
- 1:16:21Speaker 3: making fun of the head coach. I'm thinking, yeah, I
- 1:16:22Speaker 3: guess you're right.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: But that's what I'm going off of, which when I
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: say last year was good, I'm going off of that ship,
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: which I still laugh at that.
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: The first time you did it, bro, I don't even know.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: People are still laughing into your next bit and it's
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: like right down, he's going again. Everybody's still laughing from
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: the first joke, but you can't hear the beginning of
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: the next one, and it's like everybody quite down.
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: He's keep going.
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: Did you laugh during the show in the corner laughing
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: my as Yeah, I didn't see him. I know you
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: came down and you said something like six am will
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: or something like that.
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: You hit him with the little down there laughing in
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: the corner.
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: It was funny the old tape to JPP just to
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: bottom me one more time.
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: Yeah, you know what I wished, dude.
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: No, he hit me with the cool and it hit
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: me another way, sun me. That was when I got
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: the vrabel we're paying you for this. I thought, Oh,
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: I'm on patch on the back you ship in my hand. Yeah,
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: that was like, those are the things that you're like, man,
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: that camp. But these poor boys, these rookies have no
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: idea when you go out to camp. Those bad plays,
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: when they go up.
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: It's gonna be good. Puts you in a fucking blender.
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: It's terrible. Feelings are just reminders. I tell you what.
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: Those are teaching moments. You know how the ego is
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: in the NFL. Here's the here's the moment. Here's a
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: funny teaching moment I look back on. There was an
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: undrafted free agent.
- 1:17:45Speaker 3: Maybe it was maybe an ACC school, I don't know,
- 1:17:48Speaker 3: but it seemed like he got paid a little bit
- 1:17:51Speaker 3: of a signing bonus.
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: I believe he was on D line at the time.
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: I know this story, and Brave, you know you're in there.
- 1:17:56Speaker 3: You're hitting the tape post practice, and everybody's assholes a
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: little tighter, like, man, am I about to make this
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: fucking tape?
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: Like you always hate it because you're watching tape.
- 1:18:04Speaker 3: We're in the a c. It's easy, like you just
- 1:18:07Speaker 3: you're the you're at your most vulnerable. And this poor
- 1:18:10Speaker 3: soul like either didn't get his hands inside or something
- 1:18:12Speaker 3: he had been.
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: He had put a few you got the ship knocked
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: out of them. He stacked a few bad reps or
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: practices together.
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: And Rabe's like, you need to go home, back to
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: the hotel tonight and ask yourself if you even want
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: to fucking play this game.
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: What it was? I mean, at least at least remember
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: Dickerson as much as you hated him, because he fought
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: every place, but he fought off the field, right, But
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: he fought you. Yeah, and he and he wanted to
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: be there, and he acted like whether he he fought
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: you and the guy he wanted to fight Taylor, he
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: got into it after it, and I was like, Okay,
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: at least we can work with something. At least we
- 1:18:49Speaker 2: can coach that. You know what I'm saying. There's like
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: a passion, there's a fire whatever. That's all we're looking for.
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: And what did you do? What did you do? Were
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: you drafted? No? Right? So how did you act your
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: first couple of years to try to make it.
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: Looking grit and spit exact prison rules? Dude, you find
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: the biggest guy and fight them right away.
- 1:19:08Speaker 3: Well no, no, I'm not picking on I'm not trying
- 1:19:12Speaker 3: to pick a fight with Trent Williams.
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: Well, no, but but yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly, hard like
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: that's what you have to do. But this what's funny.
- 1:19:20Speaker 3: And you're just like the poor soul like is brave
- 1:19:23Speaker 3: if he gets you for some reps in a road
- 1:19:24Speaker 3: to where he can put a many highlight of you up.
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: Low light, yeah, low light of you up. You make
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: it sound like they're all naked. They're not all remember
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: remembers the loss of ray. Take it easy, take it easy,
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: I know, but you're paying this picture just like braves. Listen,
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: you put the highlights up. You say, hey, we like
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: this this guy. That's good technique. So and so that
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: when you ran over, when you ran off the ball
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: and you were strong with your backside hand, I put
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: it on there. No, and I was very grateful for that. Yeah,
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: but you worked at a line of scrimmage, I put
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: that on there. Yeah.
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: Yeah, that is such a dumb rule. By the way
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: I say that, Now, why are we running to the
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: line of scrimmage.
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: Because we wanted tempo? Yeah it's temple, but you can
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: look at everybody else that one game I said, we're
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: gonna fucking speed break seventy times in a row. Yeah,
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: and now we're like seventy I'm like, yeah, we're gonna
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: start conditioning right now. We didn't, but we didn't.
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: Obviously we didn't do a speed break seventy times. But
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: it's a change the pace.
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: You want.
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: Let the boys walk up to the line. It's a
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: waste of energy. You see teams that have won the
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: Super Bowl. Every other team doesn't do they they walk
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: up to the line, they get set because receivers got
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: to run out every team. We got time to get
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: up there, and then you do a speed break.
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: It's difference between walking, sauntering and and brisk walking to
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: the line. You're not asking yeah, but you're not asking
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: for this walk either.
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: Walk You want to sauntered when I first got here,
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: like you wanted everybody, everybody, And then while you're still
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: getting set, we're snapping the fucking ball the mounta. He
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: takes his time with those wreck and heat get I
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: was getting ready to throw my heat exactly.
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: But when we had the penalty, Yeah, lost my ship
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: Jets game, no question. God damn.
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: That was when I was like, fuck and I have
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: nothing to stand a leg on. Kisses me off because
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: we called Uh.
- 1:21:08Speaker 2: He's fishing around in his stands. Well, I don't really
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: stop moving in my stands at all. Remember when you go,
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: remember where you go? Get him? And then Sarah came
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: over and then said, Taylor, if you keep moving your
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: hand and he jumps, I'm gonna get you and I.
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: But I've never I never called him, I know, and
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: you did say, hey, you just keep doing what you want.
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: But if you get called, that's on you, and then
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: you're done, right, and then you're done.
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: But there was never a talk about jogging up to
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: the line. There was nothing that was non negotiable.
- 1:21:37Speaker 2: What I'm saying, you get into how Dember he did
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: pay attention, even though it didn't seem like he was
- 1:21:42Speaker 2: the non negotiables. He knows of those, I'm secretly coachable.
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: I know that, not secretly. You come on, well, you're right, Well,
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: I'm doing God's work right.
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: We're going in there. We're going a good time and
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: a half. Here in a second, you think so, oh,
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: for three hours you were late. You didn't read the
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: fine print. Time and a half.
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: That's late. Brother didn't start, that's starting when I sat down.
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: We're going to time and a half. Boy, you better.
- 1:22:03Speaker 2: But then we had to run with the mic issue.
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: We're about start. We're twenty five minutes into this podcast.
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: Oh fuck we are you are? We are rolling? I
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: got rade, I got no lunch, which is fine. You
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: get the bit of body armor, but you you know
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: your rules.
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: Man. Thankfully you're rich. You have a nice little drinking
- 1:22:20Speaker 2: body armor. No, I want food.
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: Do you want to twist the tea? I can tell
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: I can twist about that. Have you tasted these?
- 1:22:28Speaker 6: No?
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: You gotta be kidding me, new sponsor? Huh, we are
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: the twists?
- 1:22:34Speaker 2: Good? I saw those?
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: And for beer Olympics? Which do we want to talk
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: about how you set us up to that? M We
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: interrupt this episode to bring you and ad read and
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: that is dude Cannon, We like to talk to you
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: about your shower game for just a minute.
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: Here's a fact.
- 1:22:50Speaker 3: The body wash you're using right now sucks, absolutely fucking sucks.
- 1:22:56Speaker 2: Fuck your body washed. It's not getting the job done.
- 1:23:00Speaker 2: Oh it's me.
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: The boys need a shower of substance after a hard
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: day's work, and that's why we use thick, high viscosity
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: body wash from Duke Cannon.
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: Do you un like the viscosity out of them? Thanks? Brother,
- 1:23:12Speaker 2: thank you and girthier is better. Oh shit.
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: Duke Cannon's thick body wash is built to work hard
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: and not spew down the shower drain.
- 1:23:23Speaker 3: All their sins are amazing, but my personal favorite is
- 1:23:27Speaker 3: Midnight Swim. It smells like a cannon ball into a
- 1:23:30Speaker 3: moonlit lake, not a dip in the hot tub at
- 1:23:33Speaker 3: the Starlit Motel.
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: I don't know about you, boys, but every once in
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: a while I wake up at the morning, I hurry
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: out the door and I kind of forget to put
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: the odor in on. But I know when I don't
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: put this cool dry on because my armpits definitely don't
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: feel the ac cook it inside between that swampy little area.
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: So that is actually my favorite product.
- 1:23:51Speaker 2: You have to try Duke Cannon. So for a limited time,
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: we're hooking the Boys up with twenty percent off your
- 1:23:57Speaker 2: first order at Dukecannon dot com with code the Boys twenty.
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: That's twenty percent off when you used cold Code the
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: Boys twenty at Duke Cannon dot com.

- 1:24:12Speaker 2: You didn't come to Beer Olympics. Yeah, he hit me
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: to minutes an emergency meeting that was called order directors
- 1:24:19Speaker 2: at Richland Country Club. He was golfing, dude, I know,
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: and you know what's so wild? We went a lot
- 1:24:27Speaker 2: longer than I thought I was. After I finished and
- 1:24:29Speaker 2: I saw it was still going on, I'm like, holy shit,
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: can I even think about going showing up? Like if
- 1:24:36Speaker 2: you would have about.
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: A drink, no chance, dude, we would have been You'd
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: have been like I've never heard it was again, carnage.
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we were black. It was wild.
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: And the rookies were in a blender too when they
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: knew you were coming, were they oh yeah? Well I'd
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: be like, hey, I like, what up? And I was like,
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: I know, if we we'll talk to you guys. He's
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: gonna come. It's okay to have a drink in front
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: of your coach. I'm going to go to This is
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: the NFL. It's all good pro football, pro football, as
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: long as you guys show up. And yes, if you
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: have a bad practice, he'll probably bring up you drinking
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: at beer Olympics.
- 1:25:05Speaker 2: But you're gonna be all right, no doubt.
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: And as I'm like walking away and one of them,
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: I'm not gonna say their names, Like I don't even
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: know if I'm gonna drink today, I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: wait till he leaves, and.
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: Then mental warfare it is, you have to have it.
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: Do we have any finishing thoughts on jogging up to
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: the line, How we can just kind of shut that down.
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: I'm not talking for me, I'm talking. I'm talking for Ruse.
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: I'm talking for the nice thing is about them, they don't. Yeah,
- 1:25:30Speaker 2: I'm the voice, I'm their voice. Well it's it's an
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: old voice. There's no more voice. Yeah, it's it's an
- 1:25:40Speaker 2: old voice.
- 1:25:41Speaker 3: Did you ever last year think about like, let's let's
- 1:25:44Speaker 3: run it back with.
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: Me?
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: No?
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: You you started to drop some games.
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: It's like, hey, what where's the juice that we we
- 1:25:58Speaker 2: were thinking about? Like just a little pick me up,
- 1:26:01Speaker 2: like post Thanksgiving, get get it back up and get
- 1:26:05Speaker 2: you know, it went through your mind having some joke.
- 1:26:07Speaker 2: It always goes through my mind those long November days
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: gets dark early yellow juice in the building.
- 1:26:15Speaker 3: You're you know, depending on your mood, you could be
- 1:26:18Speaker 3: PMS in a little bit more than this.
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: Yeah, it just what I sa. It just didn't work out. Yeah,
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: it didn't work out. Yeah, I had to win.
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: My options are training at right now boost same spot
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: offs training at when you texted, hey, are you ready
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: to go overhead?
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: Or if you had one too many rabbis that's uh
- 1:26:37Speaker 2: just a good crew out there, isn't there? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: you talking about Titans guys.
- 1:26:42Speaker 3: Yeah, just I'm there guy, Good morning. I don't see
- 1:26:44Speaker 3: anybody who get there early. Yeah, I'm talking wake up
- 1:26:47Speaker 3: at five thirty. You know the deal six am. So
- 1:26:49Speaker 3: that way you get back to the do the dad thing,
- 1:26:52Speaker 3: putting that work in still work? Oh yeah, doing them
- 1:26:54Speaker 3: half gasters or what are you doing? You need me
- 1:26:56Speaker 3: to hit a punt stuff for you? We could do
- 1:26:58Speaker 3: a little workout right off side. Yeah, can need to
- 1:27:00Speaker 3: keep my base a little wider.
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: I know. That's what you always coach. You get turned,
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: get turned sideways, like you always talked about the punch.
- 1:27:10Speaker 3: I from my skill set felt like I was always
- 1:27:14Speaker 3: better absorbing because like you always made fun of me
- 1:27:18Speaker 3: on my t Rex arms.
- 1:27:22Speaker 2: I disagree, like you never want to like absorb when
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: you have to go cover, you know what I mean?
- 1:27:30Speaker 2: Like Taylor if he's playing left tackle, Like, okay, you
- 1:27:33Speaker 2: can give a little ground and you can sink sink.
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: But Taylor doesn't have to shed and go forty five
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: fifty yards now with stony. I just got a hammer leg.
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: I feel you. I'm just saying, like, not everybody's built
- 1:27:45Speaker 2: with arms like that.
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: You have, right, but you could still. I mean, baby,
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: baits punched. You got enough tape on me.
- 1:27:52Speaker 2: I had. I had four to one game New York
- 1:27:54Speaker 2: seventeen and oh seventeen to nothing. What are you talking about.
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: I'm saying I've never given up a never giving up
- 1:28:01Speaker 2: a block. No, I wasn't saying that you gave up
- 1:28:04Speaker 2: a block. You're like, hey, dB, he he shocks and
- 1:28:06Speaker 2: he does. I was like, okay, you got table somebody
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: who absorbs too, right, But I'm talking about like the coverage.
- 1:28:10Speaker 2: I'm trying to get you out there faster, dbs faster
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: than you. You don got to play to your skill set, brother,
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: I'm trying to flow. I'm trying to let somebody go
- 1:28:17Speaker 2: down there, up and then overlap. Yeah, they they what
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: does it? Shoot the ball? They pull their trigger, they
- 1:28:23Speaker 2: miss it, stops their feet. I got a little bit
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: more to work with. Come in here and clean them up. Yeah,
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: get that tackle, get the statue. So do you really
- 1:28:30Speaker 2: have nine? What's your four to one case is they
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: say nine? It's nine? Yeah, why did you have like
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: a peace squad year or what did you have? Two?
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: It's only nine. You had a peace squad year and
- 1:28:41Speaker 2: then squad year.
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: It turns into a credited year after you getsted, so
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: the peace squad does count. Now, after you.
- 1:28:49Speaker 3: Get vested, they roll it back and then count the
- 1:28:51Speaker 3: practice squad year.
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: So are you counting the practice squad year the time?
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna let you in a little inside ball here.
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: This is not a road you want to go down
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: with Will. Will and I got to do an argument
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: about this. I was like, so it's really eight, right,
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: That's where I'm at right now? Did I agree with
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: you already?
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: Match about this relationship with Fuddy? Why do you think eight? Oh?
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: Fuck your because it's you gotta go out on the
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: field for I did three game on Sunday.
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: Three games.
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: I went out on Sunday, one tackle statue, one game
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: that was a thirteen back game.
- 1:29:26Speaker 3: You need three games? So you think you need to
- 1:29:28Speaker 3: play three games to be considered. Oh, you play in
- 1:29:30Speaker 3: the NFL for a year. Yes, I think you're wrong.
- 1:29:34Speaker 3: I a wee can agree to disagree. I mean I
- 1:29:36Speaker 3: know what my pension says. It's nine years. You were
- 1:29:39Speaker 3: in the PA, you get the rules, so it's nine years.
- 1:29:42Speaker 3: Because your ego wants to tell me it's only eight.
- 1:29:44Speaker 3: I would argue that a practice squad year is even harder.
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: To doing my ego. But like, if I played one
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: year and was one game and I was healthy, I
- 1:29:51Speaker 2: wouldn't be like, I wouldn't count that as a year.
- 1:29:54Speaker 2: Why not? Proud doesn't. No, it's like playing one whole
- 1:29:57Speaker 2: golf and be like, yeah, golf today, logging off.
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: The course, that's that's golfing. There's eighteen holes, there's seventeen games.
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: They're gonna played one game and then leave and say
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: I played.
- 1:30:11Speaker 2: If you're now, I don't, you'll have to help me
- 1:30:13Speaker 2: out with your Your boys just chirped you. They laughed
- 1:30:15Speaker 2: when I said, if you like playing one home walking off,
- 1:30:17Speaker 2: enjoy this. They enjoy this.
- 1:30:18Speaker 3: But I'll say, in the golfing world, if you go
- 1:30:20Speaker 3: throughout the entire year of tournaments or whatever, and one
- 1:30:23Speaker 3: guy who's an amateur gets to play in one pro
- 1:30:25Speaker 3: golf am tournament, they are now considered a pro golfer.
- 1:30:28Speaker 2: For that year. No, I don't think they are are
- 1:30:32Speaker 2: you a pro golfer? Fuck? No, you know what I mean?
- 1:30:36Speaker 2: Like you're losing me here. I don't know where your
- 1:30:37Speaker 2: argument is.
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: All yours thought you got hurt. Like if you got hurt,
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: all yours is you were able body. Here's yours, you
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: were able to body. No, I don't think that's right.
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: That's your argument, no saying.
- 1:30:48Speaker 2: My argument is if I was healthy and only played
- 1:30:52Speaker 2: one game of a season, I wouldn't in my mind
- 1:30:56Speaker 2: mind count that as a season. I would count that
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: as one game. You playing the NFL this year year?
- 1:31:04Speaker 2: Did you play? Yeah, there you go.
- 1:31:06Speaker 3: Ray, Did you play in the NFL this year and
- 1:31:09Speaker 3: you played one game and you got a tackle on kickoff?
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: I would say kind of. But I was on a
- 1:31:15Speaker 2: practice squad and I got caught up one game. But
- 1:31:17Speaker 2: I mean I really wouldn't like want to like promote that.
- 1:31:21Speaker 2: And I said, brother, don't worry about that. She you
- 1:31:24Speaker 2: got that one. Got that bell, discourage yourself, that Burt
- 1:31:28Speaker 2: Bell into your session plan. Yeah, they'd be proud of it.
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: I don't think I could. I don't think I would say,
- 1:31:36Speaker 2: you're we're looking for year nine. I gotta get a
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: new jersey. No, we don't have to. That's I tell
- 1:31:40Speaker 2: you what we could do. I didn't. They changed me
- 1:31:43Speaker 2: to a deal, they proact. They they went back in
- 1:31:45Speaker 2: retro fit that uh that practice squad thing that wasn't
- 1:31:48Speaker 2: always like that. Are you talking about how they rolled
- 1:31:51Speaker 2: us in? Yeah? Yeah, I don't think that was ever
- 1:31:53Speaker 2: like that.
- 1:31:53Speaker 3: I want to say Lorenzo, Lorenzo Alexander was he was
- 1:31:57Speaker 3: somebody that was a fan here for something like that
- 1:31:59Speaker 3: because he had two ex what you're the only count
- 1:32:01Speaker 3: one of them?
- 1:32:02Speaker 2: But uh no, that's awesome. I mean for guys that didn't.
- 1:32:05Speaker 2: Once you become vested, they go back and count that
- 1:32:07Speaker 2: year for your pension. Yeah, so nine years looking for
- 1:32:13Speaker 2: ten years we had you do you want to work out? Ten?
- 1:32:17Speaker 2: We had ten? You want to work out? What do
- 1:32:20Speaker 2: you mean, like, do like a workout? You know what
- 1:32:22Speaker 2: I mean? Like we can set up a workout. You're saying,
- 1:32:25Speaker 2: Titans bring me in for a workout or yeah you know,
- 1:32:27Speaker 2: I mean I could go, like, you know, work out
- 1:32:29Speaker 2: a boost, Watch you a boost, See what it looks
- 1:32:32Speaker 2: like in the morning.
- 1:32:32Speaker 3: Can we record it and be like this is rave given?
- 1:32:34Speaker 3: Will Compton a private workout for your for the potential
- 1:32:37Speaker 3: of your ten.
- 1:32:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean you can put it on the internet
- 1:32:40Speaker 2: extra twenty five, maybe thirty forty whatever. Now it's like
- 1:32:44Speaker 2: out of nowhere for the kids.
- 1:32:45Speaker 3: Man, we can we could probably do the kid on
- 1:32:47Speaker 3: that because I think are fine for ten minutes latest
- 1:32:49Speaker 3: twenty five.
- 1:32:50Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not. It'll be tough to tell you. Why
- 1:32:53Speaker 2: guys that I first late they got a warning letter.
- 1:32:58Speaker 2: You got a mulligan that's a breakfast ball, didn't show
- 1:33:01Speaker 2: up to beer Olympics. That strike one two in community?
- 1:33:04Speaker 2: Did I not community? But still warning? You're still at
- 1:33:06Speaker 2: the warning letter communicated, but after the communicated it was
- 1:33:10Speaker 2: not after Look you know what we got receipts. I'll
- 1:33:12Speaker 2: check it right now.
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: If if I get this, if I get this text
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: after twelve, we gotta have a conversation.
- 1:33:19Speaker 2: Well, let's go back to this try out real quick.
- 1:33:22Speaker 2: That's right. No, you no, you signed me. You don't
- 1:33:27Speaker 2: have to do here's how we could do. You know,
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: you just sign me no, because I don't think that
- 1:33:33Speaker 2: those legs will make it through the workout. Probably right,
- 1:33:38Speaker 2: you are probably correct. What do you think about these legs?
- 1:33:41Speaker 2: Like you've been working some squads? Hey, that's a good compliment.
- 1:33:44Speaker 2: Appreciate that been grinding. Okay, noticed you work out with
- 1:33:50Speaker 2: anybody or just by yourself, by myself? Do you think
- 1:33:52Speaker 2: you get enough out of it? Are your self motivated
- 1:33:54Speaker 2: enough to to really push yourself like you need to
- 1:33:57Speaker 2: like you did back in Nebraska? Cornhusker Candy, Those are
- 1:34:01Speaker 2: different cornhust Candy.
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: Even eleven fifty seven got a call into an emergency
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: meeting at the golf course. So I texted before noon
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: that I'm still going to come into correct now even
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: fifteen Now you know how I feel when dudes text
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: me that three minutes before the team meeting, and you'd
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: probably still send him a letter of But as ahead man,
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: you still got to make a decision.
- 1:34:23Speaker 2: We're making the decision, like we don't like.
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: To wait outside for him minutes away from me, not
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: three minutes, so you'd have been late regardless.
- 1:34:31Speaker 2: I wasn't coming from home, Richland is I was iron home.
- 1:34:35Speaker 2: I know tea time was noon? What do you think
- 1:34:38Speaker 2: about uh one day contract for who? And then what
- 1:34:48Speaker 2: would you do after the one day was over? Like
- 1:34:51Speaker 2: have a formal announcement or yeah, like press conference at
- 1:34:53Speaker 2: the Titans facility?
- 1:34:55Speaker 3: You there, are you talking about BEHALFTI a player, I
- 1:34:57Speaker 3: was potential Ring of Honor candidate.
- 1:34:59Speaker 2: But somebody who wants to step down. He doesn't like
- 1:35:01Speaker 2: the spotlight. Like fourteen games for us? Crazy how much
- 1:35:04Speaker 2: of an impact I've man now in the community. That's
- 1:35:07Speaker 2: probably why you guys signed the boss. You see free
- 1:35:09Speaker 2: agents that that did pan out because there are examples. Yeah,
- 1:35:14Speaker 2: I'll get back to you. I mean, I think that
- 1:35:15Speaker 2: that's a good idea. We could certainly try to raise
- 1:35:18Speaker 2: money for charity and try to have a one day
- 1:35:20Speaker 2: contract doing Taylor. You're like a little combo platter.
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: I'd like to have my own I think Taylor deserves
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: his own moment.
- 1:35:29Speaker 2: You speaking for Taylor, you speak for yourself. You're right,
- 1:35:33Speaker 2: You're right. I think I deserve my own moment. Okay,
- 1:35:36Speaker 2: I disagree. Why is that.
- 1:35:40Speaker 3: Because you got to, like what, catch seventeen touchdowns and
- 1:35:43Speaker 3: have sacks and shit in the league that they're.
- 1:35:45Speaker 2: Like four as much impact as you could possibly make
- 1:35:49Speaker 2: in fourteen games? You did, but you need more than
- 1:35:53Speaker 2: fourteen games to.
- 1:35:54Speaker 3: Have a number one. Fourteen games is not that's not
- 1:35:57Speaker 3: You're just saying that I am just more than fourteen
- 1:35:59Speaker 3: However many was it I don't know, maybe in the twenties.
- 1:36:02Speaker 2: Do you think it's twenty I don't know. Well, I
- 1:36:05Speaker 2: mean I was you didn't cut me in the first year, Okay, Well,
- 1:36:09Speaker 2: I was just being funny when I said fourteen, they're
- 1:36:11Speaker 2: about to find out.
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I understand your humor. I get that you was.
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: You know what, here we go. There's twelve games, twelve
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: and twelve, twenty four, all right, twenty four, Hey, that's
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: worth it. Put twelve together that twenty year Hell yeah,
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: thank you. You thought you had me cutting on the
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: pea squad for a while. Something happened and somebody got
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: hurt and I had to all of a sudden, like
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: do one walk through for Lamar Jackson in that offense.
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: He ended up playing jay On breaks his fucking elbow
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: in the game, But you ended up playing the Bronco
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: game too. But he came in in the Ravens. Dude,
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: you remember that run game? Yeah, Polers, quarterback nuts, just
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: find a guy with the ball.
- 1:36:59Speaker 2: That's got to be a hard thing to do, but
- 1:37:00Speaker 2: he did. I give him. I will give you credit
- 1:37:02Speaker 2: now that you told me that jay On snapped his
- 1:37:05Speaker 2: elbow and was like, will where's his helmet. Ray was
- 1:37:09Speaker 2: like Ray was everything he could do, just not give
- 1:37:12Speaker 2: me on the field.
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: Oh Jesus God, your locker room guy, guy, Yeah, your
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: place is necessarily on the field.
- 1:37:19Speaker 2: It's in the locker room. Out you're a morale guy.
- 1:37:22Speaker 2: Look a gesture. What if we let you do like
- 1:37:24Speaker 2: a bus, like a remote bus and doing it from
- 1:37:27Speaker 2: the locker room. What I do a bust and from
- 1:37:29Speaker 2: the locker room. That's a great idea. But no, I
- 1:37:33Speaker 2: was thinking about inviting you to the office and doing
- 1:37:35Speaker 2: it in the office.
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: We would have absolutely done it, but as you told, oh, yeah,
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: access is retired, meet you.
- 1:37:43Speaker 2: Let us in security.
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: My code will not work anymore comptent and Lawan will
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: be here.
- 1:37:49Speaker 2: Yeah, but I was figured I wanted to come see
- 1:37:51Speaker 2: the new digs. Uh, you know, speaking of one day?
- 1:37:55Speaker 2: One day? One day? You excited to speak for me
- 1:37:58Speaker 2: someday where where we're speaking whatever, when I do whenever,
- 1:38:02Speaker 2: when I eventually retire. You haven't no what I'm available.
- 1:38:08Speaker 2: I'm sorry. We talked about the niece. We know where
- 1:38:09Speaker 2: knees are at. Yes, anything you asked me, I'll talk
- 1:38:15Speaker 2: to you. Yeah, I want you to. We're gonna have
- 1:38:16Speaker 2: a party. I want you to. We're gonna have it.
- 1:38:18Speaker 2: We're gonna have a party. We're gonna get Hammred in
- 1:38:20Speaker 2: the fifty ar line of the Nissan Stadium. I sent
- 1:38:23Speaker 2: you my my press release the one time, the one night,
- 1:38:26Speaker 2: and you're like, oh, I don't get a press release.
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: Yeah, well you did say some really cool things about Ben.
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: I kind of did get salty.
- 1:38:32Speaker 2: I was in my own emotions about my press release
- 1:38:35Speaker 2: back with some heat, and I love that we're talking
- 1:38:37Speaker 2: about this. Sometimes I feel a little awkward in that chat.
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: It's like you'll have me, it's like a buffer, a talk,
- 1:38:45Speaker 1: and I'll just kind of sit there and watch the show,
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: like get the popcorn.
- 1:38:48Speaker 2: Out, I don't. I always something like and then I'm
- 1:38:50Speaker 2: thinking the British Bulldogs and I'm like, just the one
- 1:38:53Speaker 2: guy and it's like tag team.
- 1:38:54Speaker 3: We're sitting next to each other, right, you don't you
- 1:38:57Speaker 3: do a great job with him.
- 1:38:59Speaker 2: You do a good job of the fer You just
- 1:39:02Speaker 2: you do a good job of like you have your own.
- 1:39:05Speaker 3: Listen here in town. He took me in during the
- 1:39:07Speaker 3: free agency part of the first year. But yes, I
- 1:39:10Speaker 3: do have my own place now.
- 1:39:11Speaker 2: Yeah, congratulation. I have a family. I knew that they
- 1:39:16Speaker 2: all just stayed with I'll just stay at the little
- 1:39:19Speaker 2: one residence. That would be tight. I would enjoy that
- 1:39:22Speaker 2: like beer Olympics every day.
- 1:39:24Speaker 1: Man, well, we didn't miss out on a hell of
- 1:39:26Speaker 1: a deal. I could tell it was awesome. What was
- 1:39:28Speaker 1: I talking about the Uh? You're probably talking about some
- 1:39:30Speaker 1: of the group chat.
- 1:39:31Speaker 2: No.
- 1:39:31Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, you do a good job of If Will
- 1:39:33Speaker 1: and I start coming at you, you'll go at do
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: a good job of just putting a dead stop on it,
- 1:39:38Speaker 1: which Will and I will then text each other.
- 1:39:40Speaker 2: Just one on one about it, I bet. But it's
- 1:39:42Speaker 2: like enough's enough. If I'm going in on one guy,
- 1:39:44Speaker 2: I don't need the other guy. Like I can sight team,
- 1:39:49Speaker 2: but I don't feel like in that situation a teamwork. Really,
- 1:39:53Speaker 2: it's supposed to be like I'm looking for you to
- 1:39:55Speaker 2: enjoy my joke on Will, just like in the event
- 1:40:00Speaker 2: that you would make a joke about Will, I would
- 1:40:03Speaker 2: enjoy it. As the other person you're looking for the
- 1:40:06Speaker 2: three of us four, you're just looking like a little
- 1:40:08Speaker 2: little pat on the back, as opposed to like, I can.
- 1:40:10Speaker 3: Respect that braves coming off house. We gotta do something,
- 1:40:13Speaker 3: He's reason, Yeah, I can.
- 1:40:15Speaker 2: Boys unite, you know what I mean. Whatever, So, what's
- 1:40:17Speaker 2: the next step here for you? Guys? Man?
- 1:40:19Speaker 1: Where are we going with this thing with the bus? Yeah,
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: it's like Times facility during camp.
- 1:40:25Speaker 3: Now, we do got a we got a training camp
- 1:40:26Speaker 3: tour coming up. We're going to a stops, just a
- 1:40:29Speaker 3: couple like two two?
- 1:40:31Speaker 2: Is that a tour? Does that kind of just two
- 1:40:32Speaker 2: stops from kind of a tour? Or is that one? Anything? One? Okay,
- 1:40:35Speaker 2: that's what Paramount Plus is asking for. That's what we'll
- 1:40:37Speaker 2: deliver that we're now working with. Now Paramount Plus.
- 1:40:41Speaker 1: Ladies, women, we interrupt this episode to bring you an
- 1:40:43Speaker 1: ad read and that ad Reid is body Armor. Body
- 1:40:47Speaker 1: Armor is the official hydration partner of Busting with the Boys.

- 1:42:21Speaker 1: I guess jan Will Bill do.
- 1:42:22Speaker 2: An interview with us? No? Then, like, no chance at all?
- 1:42:26Speaker 2: You think none? Who do you think we would better
- 1:42:29Speaker 2: shot at? Nick Saban or Bill Belichick? Saban? What Saban?
- 1:42:36Speaker 2: You know? Why? Recruiting good? He's right? What do you?
- 1:42:41Speaker 2: What do you think? Like? What is Bill Belichick in

- 1:42:48Speaker 2: just Bill, just Bill? Is that the one nickname you

- 1:43:03Speaker 2: Baby Belichick? I had never even heard that. Oh, ray,
- 1:43:07Speaker 2: you've heard that. No, I haven't Patriots or Patriots of
- 1:43:11Speaker 2: the South. Yeah you guys Belichick. No, No, that's not
- 1:43:15Speaker 2: a thing. I probably pulled the video up. Yeah, I don't.
- 1:43:17Speaker 2: I don't hear baby Belichick much.
- 1:43:19Speaker 1: That wasn't a play on me, Yeah, yeah, not me
- 1:43:22Speaker 1: throwing that at you.
- 1:43:23Speaker 2: I feel good though.
- 1:43:23Speaker 1: In nineteen playing the Patriots and kind of using rules
- 1:43:27Speaker 1: to your advantage had to be a nice fuck You
- 1:43:29Speaker 1: felt great?
- 1:43:30Speaker 2: Whatever we can win big game.
- 1:43:31Speaker 1: You're talking about like on special teams at the punt
- 1:43:34Speaker 1: they do, the delayed game, the off sides they and
- 1:43:38Speaker 1: you know, Raves over there chewing on his gum, probably
- 1:43:40Speaker 1: a nicotine gum, fucking looking at Bill's.
- 1:43:43Speaker 2: Losing his mind.
- 1:43:44Speaker 1: You had to be Yeah, you had to be fucking
- 1:43:47Speaker 1: stoked on that.
- 1:43:48Speaker 2: Did that fire you up? Yeah, that was a fire stretchers.
- 1:43:51Speaker 2: Stretchers having a good time and they uh in the
- 1:43:54Speaker 2: in the headset, Yeah, stretchers. That were you getting fired
- 1:43:58Speaker 2: like I was getting fired. Out go on a road
- 1:44:00Speaker 2: and be a big underdog. Dude. You're like, listen, hey,
- 1:44:04Speaker 2: ask us the real mentor. This is a mentor.
- 1:44:05Speaker 1: I guy you played for and then worked under and
- 1:44:08Speaker 1: all that. He's known as one of the greatest chests
- 1:44:10Speaker 1: of all time. And you beat him in his own game.
- 1:44:12Speaker 2: When we talked, when we talked about going up there,
- 1:44:14Speaker 2: I said, they have lost two games in January and
- 1:44:16Speaker 2: like the last fifteen fucking years. So it was a
- 1:44:19Speaker 2: big deal, you know. I mean, to be able to
- 1:44:22Speaker 2: help the team win a damn game. We've always put
- 1:44:25Speaker 2: the Patriots, well, win a damn game. And also, like
- 1:44:28Speaker 2: you know, Patriots have always done ship going back there.
- 1:44:31Speaker 2: I mean he spent eight years there, you know what
- 1:44:32Speaker 2: I mean. It's like finding the finding the little details
- 1:44:35Speaker 2: in the rules, right, I mean, it was of course
- 1:44:37Speaker 2: it was a big deal. I mean, was Tyler who
- 1:44:39Speaker 2: was able to come Carter was up there, you know
- 1:44:41Speaker 2: what I mean? It was cool fucking that come fine,
- 1:44:45Speaker 2: you know what we want?
- 1:44:46Speaker 3: I went the ravee on the sidelines, sitting on the bench,
- 1:44:48Speaker 3: and I look at him like, man, like you want the.
- 1:44:50Speaker 1: Raven the sidelines? That's mouth into the dB. I don't
- 1:44:52Speaker 1: even know who the fuck you are.
- 1:44:54Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, oh, but you know, talking shit with the
- 1:44:56Speaker 3: boys whatever, Like I just.
- 1:44:58Speaker 2: Did it feel good? I didn't know what that one
- 1:45:00Speaker 2: guy was. Oh yeah, that's fair. Yeah.
- 1:45:02Speaker 1: I don't know who it was either, but he was
- 1:45:04Speaker 1: talking ship to braves and he just mustache. That's who
- 1:45:07Speaker 1: we want a chirp. He tripped the wrong dude, the
- 1:45:10Speaker 1: wrong one. He didn't come correct.
- 1:45:13Speaker 2: No, No, I don't even know who you are.
- 1:45:15Speaker 1: I did not know you were miked up one day
- 1:45:17Speaker 1: when we're playing Houston, doing fucking two minutes over and
- 1:45:20Speaker 1: over again all the.
- 1:45:20Speaker 2: Half, and what do you want to do? Score?
- 1:45:24Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:45:24Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know how that fucking sounds. I want
- 1:45:27Speaker 2: to go up to him.
- 1:45:27Speaker 1: You've seen the clip. I'm like, hey, what's our what
- 1:45:29Speaker 1: are we thinking about this next two minute? We are
- 1:45:30Speaker 1: we like playing regular I'm thinking, are we playing regular ball?
- 1:45:34Speaker 2: Are we doing two minutes?
- 1:45:35Speaker 1: Because it's only a one score game now and there's
- 1:45:37Speaker 1: plenty Look, yeah I am, and you just go we
- 1:45:43Speaker 1: score and I'm thinking, I'm that's a body.
- 1:45:46Speaker 2: I think. I think no one will ever hear that.
- 1:45:48Speaker 2: And the next week it's good. I was like, God
- 1:45:52Speaker 2: damn it. Stretch gets okay all though, so Stretch, How
- 1:45:57Speaker 2: valuable is Stretch? Talk about the fucking flowers? You want
- 1:46:01Speaker 2: to get him on the bus. He won't, he has,
- 1:46:03Speaker 2: he wouldn't, he wouldn't over the bones are buried.
- 1:46:06Speaker 1: There's no question. There's no question. He fucking does sit
- 1:46:09Speaker 1: out there right outside your office. He's got no windows,
- 1:46:13Speaker 1: nothing fucking hangs out in there.
- 1:46:14Speaker 2: No.
- 1:46:15Speaker 1: I would love, I love just watch games, just walk down.
- 1:46:19Speaker 1: It stretches the situational master.
- 1:46:22Speaker 2: He is really really good man. Him and I watch
- 1:46:25Speaker 2: a lot of tape together, watch a lot of games.
- 1:46:27Speaker 2: He goes through, helps me put their Friday tape together
- 1:46:30Speaker 2: and things in gym. You miss it, don't you. I
- 1:46:33Speaker 2: missed the Fridays every night. I might send them to
- 1:46:35Speaker 2: you guys. I don't miss that. I don't miss up
- 1:46:37Speaker 2: those faces, like the just fucking yeah. I don't miss
- 1:46:40Speaker 2: that two for one specially yeah, the two yeah, the
- 1:46:43Speaker 2: two for one plate a dish. He didn't like that.
- 1:46:48Speaker 2: I don't miss it.
- 1:46:49Speaker 1: Just depends on the day. It just depends on what
- 1:46:51Speaker 1: you're tired, No, if you're pmsing or not.
- 1:46:55Speaker 3: No, it was always bet you'll be in on Friday,
- 1:46:57Speaker 3: and then you'll realize like you might come in our Saturday.
- 1:46:59Speaker 2: And it's like, hey, right, I mean the way wanted.
- 1:47:03Speaker 2: He didn't get that. Yeah, Thursday night it.
- 1:47:05Speaker 1: Was yeah, but I gotta tell him, like, they can't
- 1:47:07Speaker 1: fuck up on Friday, you know what I mean, Your
- 1:47:10Speaker 1: Friday got fucked up so much, right, But I tried
- 1:47:12Speaker 1: to tell him that that they couldn't.
- 1:47:14Speaker 2: And there's like somebody's gonna more than got fuck up
- 1:47:17Speaker 2: everybody else's Friday, but nobody's gonna fuck up yours. Right.
- 1:47:21Speaker 1: I've changed you have you have, which is kind of
- 1:47:23Speaker 1: what we went to in twenty eighteen. Changed twenty eighteen
- 1:47:26Speaker 1: it was like what braves are we getting today? Because
- 1:47:29Speaker 1: there'd be happy braves every day. Yeah, but at twenty
- 1:47:32Speaker 1: eighteen we weren't that. Yeah, I would say you were
- 1:47:34Speaker 1: all kind of feeling each other out, no question, kind
- 1:47:36Speaker 1: of like that right here, jogging up to the line
- 1:47:39Speaker 1: which I'm willing to go back and talk about if
- 1:47:40Speaker 1: you want.
- 1:47:41Speaker 2: No, I'm not willing to have that conversation, It's okay,
- 1:47:44Speaker 2: what did you ultimately do? I went to the fucking line.
- 1:47:47Speaker 2: Was tired of getting yelled at. I'll tell you what.
- 1:47:49Speaker 1: I will say this mostly Keith fucking running back all
- 1:47:52Speaker 1: the time that ship would make me so mad. And
- 1:47:55Speaker 1: then another thing, the jogging up to the line in
- 1:47:58Speaker 1: pre pre practice, before the warm up in the walkthrough,
- 1:48:02Speaker 1: I don't got everything's full speed to the ball snapped.
- 1:48:04Speaker 1: It's we don't even warm yet, operation operation operations. We're
- 1:48:08Speaker 1: walking through and I've already done a whole Indie.
- 1:48:11Speaker 2: Drill, the full the full stuff. Carter over there, dude
- 1:48:14Speaker 2: wants to rip around.
- 1:48:16Speaker 1: The full speed to the ball is snap was designed
- 1:48:20Speaker 1: for your brain so that mentally you were operating at
- 1:48:24Speaker 1: full speed, but when the ball was snap, it was
- 1:48:28Speaker 1: just a light jog.
- 1:48:29Speaker 2: And also when.
- 1:48:32Speaker 3: People would wear tennis shoes are too much comfortable stuff
- 1:48:36Speaker 3: out on the field full speed until the snap, because
- 1:48:40Speaker 3: it's like then he can say, hey, why don't you work?
- 1:48:42Speaker 1: You know, I'm not I'm not talking about that. I'm
- 1:48:44Speaker 1: not talking about like a Saturday walk through. No, he's
- 1:48:45Speaker 1: I'm talking about Wednesday, got you gotcha? It's human outside.
- 1:48:52Speaker 1: And then I've already done an indie and a half plus,
- 1:48:55Speaker 1: we'll walk through going over protection. Then we are new
- 1:48:58Speaker 1: and reviews to keep a calling. Then we go to
- 1:49:01Speaker 1: that and we're like we're jogging.
- 1:49:02Speaker 2: A football player complaining, and then.
- 1:49:04Speaker 1: Keith goes, all right, that's all right. Keith goes, hey,
- 1:49:07Speaker 1: it is a jog through. But I'll let you guys know,
- 1:49:10Speaker 1: like we have to go just a little bit faster
- 1:49:11Speaker 1: than d line, which you know.
- 1:49:13Speaker 2: That's gonna harder than the guy across from me.
- 1:49:18Speaker 1: You got to think to yourself, how do they not
- 1:49:20Speaker 1: remember remember Tart's rookie year, couldn't run a play.
- 1:49:23Speaker 2: It was a fight every play. Him and Levin.
- 1:49:25Speaker 1: I'm like, something's got to give here, guys literally just
- 1:49:28Speaker 1: trying to help each other out. Jog through, stay on side,
- 1:49:33Speaker 1: stay off the ground, and know where you guys are
- 1:49:35Speaker 1: going to. And then ultimately it's just like, how do
- 1:49:38Speaker 1: we fight in a fucking jog? Just go stretch And
- 1:49:41Speaker 1: then we got to go to meetings after and Keith
- 1:49:44Speaker 1: pulls up the jog through, which is fine because we're
- 1:49:47Speaker 1: going over if there's MS or something, but he's talking
- 1:49:50Speaker 1: about how our effort is bad and the jog dude,
- 1:49:51Speaker 1: I'm thinking, what are we talking about here?
- 1:49:53Speaker 2: No, I mean I get that, you know. I mean
- 1:49:55Speaker 2: there's certain things where it's like the reason for the
- 1:49:58Speaker 2: jog through was for us to steal reps. Yeah, steal
- 1:50:01Speaker 2: reps and not having to go full speed or live
- 1:50:05Speaker 2: and then ultimately during practice those same plays are going
- 1:50:09Speaker 2: to repeat and you maybe have a chance to fix
- 1:50:14Speaker 2: it or know what's coming or storm alert, ye, the
- 1:50:18Speaker 2: storm winning out, just yell storm alert.
- 1:50:22Speaker 1: And then if you're wrong, I said it, movement storm
- 1:50:26Speaker 1: Ali c y at there. Oh yeah, I'm talking games
- 1:50:32Speaker 1: movement because Ben obviously me, Ben me, Roger and Ben
- 1:50:37Speaker 1: would be very will be very talkative, and Ben be like,
- 1:50:39Speaker 1: you know, Nate, he didn't say a fucking word. David
- 1:50:42Speaker 1: Lee wouldn't say word. Nick didn't say anything. It's like, guys,
- 1:50:45Speaker 1: you guys, just be loud. All yeah to do is
- 1:50:47Speaker 1: be loud. Then I think you're doing something on the.
- 1:50:49Speaker 2: Jog to the line. I will say, like if you're
- 1:50:51Speaker 2: a defender and you're don't please don't, well it is
- 1:50:55Speaker 2: true and you're a little bit imidation and you see
- 1:50:58Speaker 2: a run to the line of scrimmage, you know, thank you.
- 1:51:01Speaker 2: Depending on the type of team you are. Yeah, coaches kid,
- 1:51:05Speaker 2: Jim Ratt, You're fucking right, Hell yeah, I get that.
- 1:51:13Speaker 2: In the fourth then Cole, what's it called when we
- 1:51:17Speaker 2: fast break? Think about? Think about?
- 1:51:19Speaker 3: And obviously the Titans have been good since then too,
- 1:51:22Speaker 3: But when you guys went had the run to the
- 1:51:24Speaker 3: AFC Championship, you're the way the run game is clicking.
- 1:51:27Speaker 3: Or the Ravens that one year when we ended up
- 1:51:29Speaker 3: beating them in the fourth and a jir Derek's breaking
- 1:51:31Speaker 3: all these tackles at the end and you're showing the
- 1:51:33Speaker 3: highlights and then the next week.
- 1:51:37Speaker 2: It is like, h Yo, the boys fucking juicy out there.
- 1:51:41Speaker 3: Your guys say, yeah, when you guys went nine to seven,
- 1:51:45Speaker 3: you're going into each playoff game once you beat New England.
- 1:51:48Speaker 3: That was kind of the one like as a fan perspective,
- 1:51:50Speaker 3: you're kind of like if they beat them, when you
- 1:51:52Speaker 3: guys beat them, it's like, Yo, they're gonna fucking beat Baltimore,
- 1:51:55Speaker 3: just because a lot of that juice and momentum.
- 1:51:57Speaker 2: Like that was a bloodbath too.
- 1:52:00Speaker 1: It was an absolute have you line the offensive line
- 1:52:05Speaker 1: and the AFC Championship run? I mean, have you seen
- 1:52:08Speaker 1: better ball? As a Unison. I love watching that line
- 1:52:10Speaker 1: of scrimmage move the same plays over and over again.
- 1:52:15Speaker 1: Zora left. Yeah, just fucking run and I had to
- 1:52:20Speaker 1: hit high tire like six times, you know.
- 1:52:27Speaker 2: And then what was it there? What was Brave saying
- 1:52:29Speaker 2: it was a hyenas?
- 1:52:31Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:52:33Speaker 2: Social media dude like put on something about that being
- 1:52:36Speaker 2: the lion or whatever. Taylor called me.
- 1:52:38Speaker 1: Brady posted something right that that morning. Yeah, the hyenas
- 1:52:42Speaker 1: and all that, So go ahead.
- 1:52:44Speaker 3: Yeah, Taylor facetiming right after the meeting. I guess you
- 1:52:47Speaker 3: did the hyena thing or something. It was just just
- 1:52:50Speaker 3: I don't know, talking about how just juicy it was on.
- 1:52:53Speaker 3: It was a nice fucking.
- 1:52:56Speaker 2: That clip.
- 1:52:57Speaker 1: Was awesome that that Brady put out and I hit
- 1:52:58Speaker 1: the boys up. I was like, you need the flip this.
- 1:53:01Speaker 1: If we win, you got to flip this, and it
- 1:53:04Speaker 1: was el.
- 1:53:08Speaker 2: What else do we have? What a guys? And I
- 1:53:10Speaker 2: got one.
- 1:53:11Speaker 1: If you take the Titans out of it, if you're
- 1:53:14Speaker 1: going to coach one NFL team, what team would.
- 1:53:17Speaker 2: You want that to be doing that? What do you
- 1:53:21Speaker 2: mean thirty one other teams at one job. I can
- 1:53:26Speaker 2: only coach one team at a time, man, But you
- 1:53:28Speaker 2: know you play Tennessee. I want to I would literally
- 1:53:36Speaker 2: obviously want to see this thing through.
- 1:53:38Speaker 4: Man, I.
- 1:53:40Speaker 2: We'll get a new stadium. I mean, come on, dude,
- 1:53:43Speaker 2: that thing is going to be sick. So that that
- 1:53:47Speaker 2: that's my goal, you know, I mean, especially in a
- 1:53:49Speaker 2: career where there's a lot of movement, and uh, you know,
- 1:53:55Speaker 2: I'm proud that we've had some guys here that have
- 1:53:58Speaker 2: raised their family. You look at some of these coaches
- 1:54:00Speaker 2: that are, you know, been with us for six years
- 1:54:02Speaker 2: some of them that that's a long time. In a
- 1:54:06Speaker 2: long time, and in any profession, especially coaching. So that's
- 1:54:10Speaker 2: what I'm worried about. Not where the hell else would
- 1:54:13Speaker 2: I want to coach? What about college? We do that?
- 1:54:17Speaker 2: Fuck that, you would never do that because you know
- 1:54:24Speaker 2: everyone says no, like, man, that is ridiculous what they're
- 1:54:30Speaker 2: giving these guys to come before they're even on campus,
- 1:54:34Speaker 2: and like the recruiting year round and the transfer portal
- 1:54:37Speaker 2: and if this guy doesn't start, he's leaving.
- 1:54:39Speaker 1: And like, that's a lot a lot because there were
- 1:54:44Speaker 1: a whole bunch of soft, hasn't it. I don't know
- 1:54:46Speaker 1: if it's gotten soft, but it's certainly you got to it.
- 1:54:50Speaker 1: There's a lot of managing, oh hanging Ashlim.
- 1:54:54Speaker 2: There's a lot of just uh stuff that you have
- 1:54:58Speaker 2: to deal with outside of football. Yeah, I mean this guy,
- 1:55:02Speaker 2: big nil guy, big take money, no questions. Those guys
- 1:55:08Speaker 2: are driving. If you would have gave me money in college,
- 1:55:10Speaker 2: I would be literally be dead. I really believe. I mean,
- 1:55:14Speaker 2: I mean him too. How was it? How is the
- 1:55:16Speaker 2: nil at Michigan? They're doing a good job? Yeah, I
- 1:55:18Speaker 2: mean we're you know, is it?
- 1:55:20Speaker 1: I have no idea what they're paying players, but we
- 1:55:23Speaker 1: see how they're doing right now, we see any I
- 1:55:25Speaker 1: tell you what doing good job. I mean they get
- 1:55:28Speaker 1: that win in Columbus this past year is ye in
- 1:55:30Speaker 1: a row right against a state?
- 1:55:32Speaker 2: Yeah, big year Us in three years, big year. We
- 1:55:35Speaker 2: trying to put something on it. We will. What else
- 1:55:41Speaker 2: you got for me? Who are? Give me the three
- 1:55:47Speaker 2: helpest players you've ever played with as a player, played
- 1:55:51Speaker 2: with Brian Waters the last couple of years of my career.
- 1:55:58Speaker 2: See more, Rodney Harrison and so only gave me three? Right,
- 1:56:08Speaker 2: give me give me a couple more. It seems like
- 1:56:09Speaker 2: you're I mean Joel Steed was a nose guard for Pittsburgh.
- 1:56:17Speaker 2: Levon Kirkland uh DERMONDI Dustin was probably low key one
- 1:56:24Speaker 2: of the best players I ever played with. I didn't
- 1:56:26Speaker 2: know anything about nash football. He's got I mean he
- 1:56:28Speaker 2: would reach man reach three techniques. He was a center.
- 1:56:32Speaker 2: I couldn't. It was amazing you can move like that.
- 1:56:35Speaker 2: He could fly. I mean talk about helmet speed. I
- 1:56:40Speaker 2: mean I saw Ted Johnson break a guy's helmet three
- 1:56:51Speaker 2: four defense just you lined up over the guard at
- 1:56:54Speaker 2: like four yards and was like straight ahead, no fair dodging.
- 1:56:57Speaker 2: Jamie Nails, like three hundred and fifty pounds guard for
- 1:57:00Speaker 2: the Dolphins had hit him in his helmet, broke like
- 1:57:04Speaker 2: a big shell. I was like, holy shit, thank God,
- 1:57:09Speaker 2: that wasn't me.
- 1:57:10Speaker 3: Uh Seymour Harrison. Are there any stories that you're thinking about,
- 1:57:15Speaker 3: like when you say their names.
- 1:57:18Speaker 2: So we signed Rodney kind of like maybe right at
- 1:57:22Speaker 2: the beginning of training camp or something. Chargers had kind
- 1:57:24Speaker 2: of cut him and so it was like one of
- 1:57:27Speaker 2: those early like full padded practices and Kevin Falk ran
- 1:57:30Speaker 2: an angle route or something I don't know, and Rodney
- 1:57:33Speaker 2: like hit the shit out like he hit him. It
- 1:57:36Speaker 2: wasn't like a thought, it was like he hit him.
- 1:57:39Speaker 2: He fell right. He didn't go low or rite. He
- 1:57:41Speaker 2: didn't like leave his feet or hit him in the
- 1:57:42Speaker 2: head or anything. And uh, everybody's like ooh the fans
- 1:57:47Speaker 2: all and Steve Neil, the former wrestler, was like left guard.
- 1:57:52Speaker 2: He runs out. He's telling Rodney, He's like, you can't
- 1:57:55Speaker 2: hit him like that. Dy's like, shit, fuck you got
- 1:57:58Speaker 2: whoever I want? Oh, Coach comes out. Dante comes out
- 1:58:02Speaker 2: and he's like, man, you can't hit him like that.
- 1:58:05Speaker 2: He goes, shut up, I'll beat your ass too, old man.
- 1:58:08Speaker 2: Me and Bruski looked at each other like, holy shit,
- 1:58:11Speaker 2: we got one savage Jesus and we laugh about it now.
- 1:58:17Speaker 2: But like that's how Rodney was, like. He didn't think
- 1:58:20Speaker 2: he did anything wrong. It was covin falk. He didn't
- 1:58:22Speaker 2: like take a cheap shot on him, like he just
- 1:58:24Speaker 2: hit him. Me and brew were like, we got one.
- 1:58:30Speaker 2: You guys had a fucking squad.
- 1:58:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:58:33Speaker 3: Any I mean, are there any any Were there any
- 1:58:35Speaker 3: early Brady stories that people might not know about.
- 1:58:40Speaker 2: I'm sure there's plenty of early Brady stories people don't
- 1:58:42Speaker 2: know about. What's one they're not gonna oh they're not
- 1:58:46Speaker 2: They're not school for myself. There you God yeah, the
- 1:58:51Speaker 2: smartest from the rafters. Rip it Jap says, who is
- 1:58:57Speaker 2: the smartest player you've ever coached? My vote probably Ben Jones,
- 1:59:05Speaker 2: Max Buller from Michigan State. You had him at Houston. Yeah,
- 1:59:11Speaker 2: really that was out of nowhere. I did not expect
- 1:59:14Speaker 2: just because I remember he didn't take a rep and
- 1:59:16Speaker 2: he could play like seven positions, didn't take a practice. Rap.
- 1:59:19Speaker 2: He was nice. He was nice at Michigan State, but
- 1:59:22Speaker 2: he was just uh, he he could play Mike play
- 1:59:24Speaker 2: will I mean he played like literally every position possible
- 1:59:28Speaker 2: and then take one rep during the week. We just
- 1:59:30Speaker 2: wrap everybody else.
- 1:59:33Speaker 3: Ben think then, I mean, Ben's mean just a coach,
- 1:59:37Speaker 3: front office guy him and he's like he's like the bridge.
- 1:59:41Speaker 2: Yeah, there's no question. Yeah. I was doing a hell
- 1:59:44Speaker 2: of a job for us. Is Luke Soccer. Yeah I
- 1:59:47Speaker 2: heard he's with you. Yeah he said he picked it up. Yeah,
- 1:59:50Speaker 2: what's it like, man, what's it like? He's like different. Yeah,
- 1:59:54Speaker 2: but he's done a great job as he transitioning quickly
- 1:59:57Speaker 2: from a player to coach and he's into it. And
- 1:59:59Speaker 2: you know, is there full time now or is he
- 2:00:02Speaker 2: still be with us drought the season? So yeah, is
- 2:00:05Speaker 2: that something where he goes for like, ah, like O
- 2:00:07Speaker 2: t AS or a few weeks, you can just offer it.
- 2:00:11Speaker 2: He was gonna do the O t as the off
- 2:00:13Speaker 2: season and whatever nine week program and crushed it and
- 2:00:17Speaker 2: offered him a season long opportunity. Would you hire Taylor? No?
- 2:00:23Speaker 2: I wouldn't be good at a coach. I would not
- 2:00:27Speaker 2: do well. Yeah.
- 2:00:29Speaker 1: I wear the hell out of the fit. What about
- 2:00:31Speaker 1: just brought to like a console. What if I just
- 2:00:32Speaker 1: come in talk about man reaches? No, why don't we
- 2:00:36Speaker 1: just maybe zoom? Come on, you just walk around walk
- 2:00:41Speaker 1: He's gonna walk around the building.
- 2:00:42Speaker 2: I just want to walk around, get my jos the
- 2:00:46Speaker 2: zoom week. Yeah, COVID.
- 2:00:50Speaker 1: Tuesday night game against the Buffalo Bills. We did not
- 2:00:52Speaker 1: practice for what eight days the steers. Yeah, so literally
- 2:00:56Speaker 1: like three days of preparation for and then we the
- 2:01:00Speaker 1: shit out of that we did. Was there a piece
- 2:01:02Speaker 1: of you that's like, hey, we don't even need to
- 2:01:03Speaker 1: practice anymore?
- 2:01:04Speaker 2: No, not Rabe, All of us. All of us were
- 2:01:06Speaker 2: like we why do we even need to practice? Yeah? Whatever,
- 2:01:10Speaker 2: Like forty minutes reintroduced ourselves and said hey, and then
- 2:01:14Speaker 2: we're like we gotta get out of here. We all thought.
- 2:01:17Speaker 1: We all thought we're gonna get blown the fuck out destroyed. Yes,
- 2:01:21Speaker 1: I we got there's no chance we're gonna win. And
- 2:01:24Speaker 1: obviously you're doing a good job. You like boys, doesn't
- 2:01:26Speaker 1: matter any given Sunday.
- 2:01:28Speaker 2: Type of speech. You did a good Looms going off,
- 2:01:31Speaker 2: Who gives a.
- 2:01:31Speaker 1: Fuck, we'll play them anywhere, We'll play them in the
- 2:01:33Speaker 1: parking lot type talk, and we go in the locker room,
- 2:01:35Speaker 1: were like, we're probably gonna get blown the fuck out
- 2:01:38Speaker 1: and we beat the shit out of them.
- 2:01:40Speaker 3: Yeah, you basically just have like the fucking mentality, like
- 2:01:44Speaker 3: we all know the asterisk that comes with if you lose,
- 2:01:47Speaker 3: So it's like there's nothing to lose, right, Yeah, It's
- 2:01:49Speaker 3: like when you're playing it, it's just a downpour and
- 2:01:51Speaker 3: on defense you're kind of like just taking shots because
- 2:01:53Speaker 3: you realize you're just gonna be in there, like, Yo,
- 2:01:55Speaker 3: it's wet as fuck, we're gonna be slipping.
- 2:01:56Speaker 2: And it was some turnovers early and next thing you know,
- 2:02:00Speaker 2: they're running out the clock and and and Willie Cees
- 2:02:03Speaker 2: making tackles at the end of the game. Okay, I
- 2:02:06Speaker 2: see what you were you know that what what what
- 2:02:15Speaker 2: was that? Was that?
- 2:02:15Speaker 3: A jab dude, fucking we know your humor. Brother, I
- 2:02:18Speaker 3: respect it, I respect your game, don't get it twisted.
- 2:02:21Speaker 3: But uh remember what I remember watching your tongue with me? Brother,
- 2:02:27Speaker 3: we can wrestle.
- 2:02:28Speaker 2: We don't have to step out anywhere. We can do
- 2:02:30Speaker 2: that ship right in here. Grabbing that knee a little
- 2:02:31Speaker 2: too much. You've been grabbing that a little too much.
- 2:02:33Speaker 2: I'm letting you know. Will will bodyback you. There ain't
- 2:02:36Speaker 2: a fucking change. I will beat Will's he's he's thinking
- 2:02:41Speaker 2: about it around. I'm not thinking about it. You'd have
- 2:02:43Speaker 2: to get a one tun before I had. I got
- 2:02:45Speaker 2: my wherewithal with me, I think you take ravees note wrestling.
- 2:02:49Speaker 2: If you beat my you come down, we'll fight. And
- 2:02:51Speaker 2: then if you fight, we fight. You can go and
- 2:02:53Speaker 2: do your podcast right in my office. How many at
- 2:02:56Speaker 2: the facility? Yeah? Where else? I saw him game for me?
- 2:03:00Speaker 2: What are the boundaries? What do you mean? Like there's rules?
- 2:03:04Speaker 2: I didn't know if you wanted a head gear no,
- 2:03:07Speaker 2: or gloves or something. You gotta wear mouth beeves. You
- 2:03:08Speaker 2: gotta protect this ship, their things like a sharp dude,
- 2:03:17Speaker 2: Let's hit the twist. But hey, no, when he when
- 2:03:20Speaker 2: he said, got some tackles. At the end of the
- 2:03:21Speaker 2: game when Has came up and it's like, hey, you're
- 2:03:23Speaker 2: gonna go in, I was like, Has, I don't fucking
- 2:03:25Speaker 2: want to go in right now. I'm fucking I'm stiff
- 2:03:28Speaker 2: as a board, dude, it's over, like we want I
- 2:03:30Speaker 2: want to go in there and have some fucking garbage time.
- 2:03:33Speaker 2: But that's just a little side story. And the type
- 2:03:36Speaker 2: of guy you had that year.
- 2:03:37Speaker 1: We know, loker room guy. Your place wasn't on the field,
- 2:03:41Speaker 1: your place was in that No. Sometime they're dapping dudes
- 2:03:44Speaker 1: up having good conversations.
- 2:03:46Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, what else? I think we're we're getting
- 2:03:52Speaker 3: close to the end. Man getting closed. Boys, I think
- 2:03:54Speaker 3: we got about thirty minutes left. The fuck we do

- 2:05:11Speaker 1: Or Nope? You guys heard it here first Titans. I'm
- 2:05:15Speaker 1: not going to make the playoffs this year.
- 2:05:17Speaker 2: Because I realized marriage is a little better at the Pete. No,
- 2:05:19Speaker 2: it wasn't. The marriage is right. The people been married years,
- 2:05:22Speaker 2: I know, and that just means like you'll figure it
- 2:05:25Speaker 2: out once you guys have been married twenty years. No,
- 2:05:30Speaker 2: that puts you on the map. Dude like that. I
- 2:05:34Speaker 2: would probably I'd cut that finger off. Show them the finger.
- 2:05:38Speaker 2: I'd cut that one off. The wind. Can you lift
- 2:05:39Speaker 2: that thing up all the way down to the knuckle, Yeah,
- 2:05:43Speaker 2: just the part that doesn't bend, just a straight part.
- 2:05:51Speaker 2: I mean, if you can bend, if you can bend
- 2:05:53Speaker 2: the top, yeah.
- 2:05:56Speaker 1: Yeah, but you're not cutting your dick off anymore, your
- 2:05:58Speaker 1: own over that I've grown up. Would you get a
- 2:06:01Speaker 1: tax Would you get a tattoo? Yes, saying I love
- 2:06:05Speaker 1: busting with the boys on your low back.
- 2:06:07Speaker 2: Oh I like that.
- 2:06:08Speaker 1: Uh No for a super Bowl or Super Bowl raves
- 2:06:13Speaker 1: and have to win a super Bowl to like. I
- 2:06:16Speaker 1: would get it in front of the like the boys,
- 2:06:18Speaker 1: like a picture of the team.
- 2:06:20Speaker 2: You know, we get raised.
- 2:06:26Speaker 1: Yeah, we've done a lot for you, We've done a
- 2:06:29Speaker 1: lot of your programs. I would get a tattoo I
- 2:06:35Speaker 1: get a tattoo, we design it. Sure, we can design
- 2:06:41Speaker 1: the tattoo within reason.
- 2:06:43Speaker 2: I get three choices done, and it's got to be
- 2:06:45Speaker 2: like actually tighten Yeah, absolutely, big mitts. Those are easy mits, Dude,
- 2:06:54Speaker 2: I'm handling that easy. Are you guess? I'm a fighting
- 2:06:58Speaker 2: like fighting fighting. I think that's what he is.
- 2:07:01Speaker 3: You know, the whole Ohio brainer kicks in. It just
- 2:07:02Speaker 3: goes into animal mode. It's fire or flight. We know
- 2:07:06Speaker 3: what he's thinking. Yeah, you gotta let it calm down.
- 2:07:08Speaker 2: But make no mistake, if we go to the ground,
- 2:07:10Speaker 2: you're gonna be in trouble because you're a wrestler. Yeah,
- 2:07:14Speaker 2: and you're you are old not Yeah, I got no
- 2:07:17Speaker 2: interest in wrestling. Did you wrestle on What's up on?
- 2:07:25Speaker 2: Dan Campbell? In a fight? I mean sure, I think
- 2:07:29Speaker 2: I could beat anybody in a fight, except for like
- 2:07:32Speaker 2: Jeff Simmons had to bring them up. I had to
- 2:07:38Speaker 2: bring them up. No, I mean we battled on the field.
- 2:07:42Speaker 2: Christ who got the better of who on the field? Mm,
- 2:07:50Speaker 2: I don't. I don't remember. Like, if you don't remember,
- 2:07:54Speaker 2: it's probably him. No, I don't. I would doubt that.
- 2:07:58Speaker 2: I mean, did he play all with the Lions or
- 2:08:03Speaker 2: was he with the Dolphins at all? Dallas? I know
- 2:08:18Speaker 2: I played against him once when he was in Detroit,
- 2:08:24Speaker 2: and probably that year against the Giant. We used to
- 2:08:26Speaker 2: scrimmage the Giants every year. He fights in training camp
- 2:08:29Speaker 2: every year back in the day. That's another thing too,
- 2:08:32Speaker 2: you're mixing it up, huh. There were yeah, I mean
- 2:08:34Speaker 2: there the Patriots and the Giants used to practice every preseason.
- 2:08:40Speaker 3: You seem like the type that would want to like
- 2:08:42Speaker 3: you're wanting to mix up to happen. You were like
- 2:08:44Speaker 3: that when we did with Washington and Houston. So the
- 2:08:47Speaker 3: first time I was a rookie and.
- 2:08:52Speaker 2: Got drafted by the Steelers and it was like hotter
- 2:08:55Speaker 2: in Hell and it's humid down in the valley Latroe, Pennsylvania.
- 2:09:00Speaker 2: And mind you with so many like veteran players on
- 2:09:02Speaker 2: the Steelers, like I'm just trying to figure this out
- 2:09:04Speaker 2: and I'm getting tired, and it's tight end to me.
- 2:09:06Speaker 2: He was start wrestling. I throw them down like whatever.
- 2:09:09Speaker 2: Dumb players were punching each other with a helmet on,
- 2:09:13Speaker 2: you know. I mean it's just like not really doing much.
- 2:09:16Speaker 2: But anyways, so like you always come out thinking that
- 2:09:19Speaker 2: you want, you know, like I want the training camp,
- 2:09:22Speaker 2: but really it just lost because you're so exhausted. The
- 2:09:24Speaker 2: coach is like, no, stay in there, like you're not
- 2:09:27Speaker 2: coming out and go in the next play and you
- 2:09:29Speaker 2: like can't even move. So meanwhile, I've been there for
- 2:09:33Speaker 2: like four months after I got drafted, and Greg Lloyd
- 2:09:35Speaker 2: hasn't said a word to me since the day I
- 2:09:38Speaker 2: got drafted. It hasn't literally avoided like eye contact with
- 2:09:42Speaker 2: them because it's just like, oh shit, that's what. So
- 2:09:44Speaker 2: I'm sitting in my locker and let my head's down.
- 2:09:46Speaker 2: I'm exhausted, and I see this like shadow come over me.
- 2:09:50Speaker 2: He's like, yeah, next time, what you want to do
- 2:09:52Speaker 2: is you want to take your hand and you want
- 2:09:54Speaker 2: to go up on it. Met.
- 2:09:55Speaker 1: The first time he talks to me is after I
- 2:09:57Speaker 1: got a fight, Like I had to prove myself to
- 2:10:00Speaker 1: him so that he was I was worthy enough to
- 2:10:03Speaker 1: talk to him, Like Greg, like, you haven't said I've
- 2:10:06Speaker 1: been scared it after you for four months and I
- 2:10:08Speaker 1: finally get into a fight. I said, if I'd known that,
- 2:10:10Speaker 1: I'd have been fighting somebody in April.
- 2:10:12Speaker 2: Yeah, just so that you talked to me, Helmet, But
- 2:10:15Speaker 2: was like that was his like, you know, okay, this
- 2:10:19Speaker 2: guy is like worthy of me talking to him, and
- 2:10:23Speaker 2: then we end up being boys, earn your stripes. I
- 2:10:25Speaker 2: guess my favorite would beat Dan Campbell in a fight.
- 2:10:28Speaker 2: That's what I heard. I mean, I mean, I'm taking
- 2:10:32Speaker 2: I'm taking Braves, I'm taking Bready Dan Campbell's. I would
- 2:10:35Speaker 2: hope I'd be like, yo, i' danny, I'm taking you.
- 2:10:38Speaker 2: You did bring up Jeff Simmons, Is that your favorite
- 2:10:39Speaker 2: player of all time? No, it's not my favorite player
- 2:10:41Speaker 2: of all times. He's out there, no where am I
- 2:10:48Speaker 2: at on that lift right outside of top three, you
- 2:10:51Speaker 2: and Taylor are tied. I think that.
- 2:10:54Speaker 1: I legit thought I wouldn't even be a top ten.
- 2:10:56Speaker 1: So I'm stoked on that. So FO know, I just
- 2:11:00Speaker 1: sit outside of So I'm back when I thought it
- 2:11:03Speaker 1: outside the top three. Yeah, just like you said you
- 2:11:06Speaker 1: were going on tour and you're going to two places.
- 2:11:08Speaker 1: Well we're going to fall tow or two and there's
- 2:11:09Speaker 1: five stops.
- 2:11:11Speaker 2: Because we're on vacation too. VAK Yeah Italy really yeah? Nice?
- 2:11:17Speaker 2: Have you been? Nope, go to Destin, Florida. It's got
- 2:11:20Speaker 2: in Italy. But I said thirty eight at Nashville Beach. Baby,
- 2:11:26Speaker 2: the whole town goes down there. Taylor, you gotta place
- 2:11:30Speaker 2: down there at thirty eight? Will you staying at I.
- 2:11:32Speaker 1: Went there for the first time for the fourth Oh well,
- 2:11:35Speaker 1: it was cool. It was hot, a lot of rules
- 2:11:37Speaker 1: and I don't like, but it was beautiful and I
- 2:11:41Speaker 1: really enjoyed.
- 2:11:41Speaker 2: You. Are you really going to Italy? Yeah? Nice? There
- 2:11:44Speaker 2: be going two weeks? Yeah, sweet with us, So it'll
- 2:11:47Speaker 2: be fun. It'll be us through out there. What are
- 2:11:50Speaker 2: you going for two weeks? You're traveling around? What? Yeah?
- 2:11:55Speaker 2: We're going to lie like four or five different different parts.
- 2:11:57Speaker 2: And this is about as far as I get because
- 2:11:59Speaker 2: I don't really our trainer stuck there. I guess they
- 2:12:01Speaker 2: shut the airport down Friday. Really one big mic, Mikey,
- 2:12:08Speaker 2: big mic, they shut the airport down. I guess. I
- 2:12:10Speaker 2: don't know. That's wild. Stay out there, I told me
- 2:12:15Speaker 2: this morning. I appreciate it. Guys, thanks for coming on.
- 2:12:20Speaker 2: It was a pleasure. Thank you. You are the man.
- 2:12:23Speaker 2: You guys aren't going anywhere in my life. You guys
- 2:12:25Speaker 2: are Hey, you're you're the guys are stuck with me
- 2:12:28Speaker 2: the painting of the negative, Like you're the man. But
- 2:12:31Speaker 2: I appreciate what you guys have done, and uh, I
- 2:12:34Speaker 2: think probably the most important thing is that you treat
- 2:12:37Speaker 2: my kids well. The boys, Uh, they love you, and
- 2:12:42Speaker 2: uh I appreciate that because I know it's like people
- 2:12:45Speaker 2: always like, oh, yeah, he's with Tyler Player. I'm like,
- 2:12:48Speaker 2: I wouldn't want my son to Player.
- 2:12:49Speaker 1: I know when you guys were in the locker room, like,
- 2:12:52Speaker 1: I didn't want, Like, that's not fair enough, Tyler, and
- 2:12:54Speaker 1: people don't understand that.
- 2:12:56Speaker 2: And it's like, dude, there's got to be a video, like,
- 2:12:59Speaker 2: I get it. You want to tell my kids. I'm
- 2:13:02Speaker 2: sure my kids think I'm an asshole sometimes too, you
- 2:13:04Speaker 2: know what I mean. But that was the whole reason
- 2:13:06Speaker 2: I was like, no, like being in locker room too,
- 2:13:09Speaker 2: Like you build camaraderie off right, and I don't want
- 2:13:11Speaker 2: like that'd be different. So it was like, but I
- 2:13:14Speaker 2: do appreciate how you guys should treat them. Yeah, Carter
- 2:13:16Speaker 2: gave me a right home one night after after your
- 2:13:19Speaker 2: comedy show. Oh yeah yeah, the comedy show. Yeah he Carter,
- 2:13:25Speaker 2: I really appreciate you get me right home, man, this
- 2:13:27Speaker 2: is awesome. I was like, let your dad know you talk.
- 2:13:30Speaker 2: That was a wild night. That was a fun night.
- 2:13:32Speaker 2: He said.
- 2:13:33Speaker 3: It was awesome as far as like the back and
- 2:13:36Speaker 3: forth with Carter and then we can we can get off.
- 2:13:38Speaker 3: But it jogged my memory of we hit the Ravens
- 2:13:41Speaker 3: game happened. Then I get to play the next week
- 2:13:43Speaker 3: in the Colts Trip Fall, have a couple of bad
- 2:13:47Speaker 3: plays that first series, end up getting benched that game
- 2:13:53Speaker 3: to the next day, Carter is in my d MS
- 2:13:57Speaker 3: buying our Black Friday thing to where I send a
- 2:13:59Speaker 3: vis video to where we do our video sending. Yeah,
- 2:14:02Speaker 3: He's like, hey, I want you to say it this way,
- 2:14:04Speaker 3: and I'm literally my head's already in the blender because
- 2:14:06Speaker 3: I'm just pissed that. You know, that's how the situation
- 2:14:09Speaker 3: went for me and my trip. You do all these
- 2:14:10Speaker 3: things and you're just playing all these plays on your head,
- 2:14:12Speaker 3: and I'm thinking, there, there's no way in hell I
- 2:14:14Speaker 3: want to send rabel h Black Friday video.
- 2:14:18Speaker 2: Do you remember that? You remember? I know you remember that.
- 2:14:21Speaker 2: I remember I remember to pay for stuff you don't have.
- 2:14:25Speaker 2: I don't do that. Don't do that. You hit us.
- 2:14:29Speaker 2: You'll be like hey, and it's always no, no, I
- 2:14:32Speaker 2: know that was just that order being fucking carter and
- 2:14:37Speaker 2: my money.
- 2:14:37Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, spending your money and be like, hey, you
- 2:14:39Speaker 3: have to make this video for your dad. I'm just
- 2:14:41Speaker 3: thinking your dad just fucking what? It was, destroyed me
- 2:14:45Speaker 3: for not understanding Ultra on the fucking goal line. It
- 2:14:51Speaker 3: was just down my throat about it. I was like,
- 2:14:54Speaker 3: he just berated me, and you want me to send
- 2:14:56Speaker 3: him a video. I was like, I'm sure he doesn't
- 2:14:57Speaker 3: want to se me right now?
- 2:14:59Speaker 1: What you give up a touchdown or something? Coverage where
- 2:15:01Speaker 1: you the defense came up? Were you the forced guy?
- 2:15:06Speaker 1: I can't even remember.
- 2:15:07Speaker 2: I think so. I think so. It was something up
- 2:15:10Speaker 2: the middle. You you were just mad that they scored,
- 2:15:12Speaker 2: all right, because if you're the game I'm talking about
- 2:15:15Speaker 2: like my backup over the carter, Like in my head,
- 2:15:19Speaker 2: is this kid setting me up?
- 2:15:21Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 2:15:22Speaker 3: Because I'm like, yo, I tripped on the tight end.
- 2:15:24Speaker 3: I fucking don't see something. I fuck up the Ultra
- 2:15:26Speaker 3: for brabes and you want me to send him a
- 2:15:29Speaker 3: video being like, hey, thank you for buying gear on
- 2:15:33Speaker 3: Black Friday.
- 2:15:35Speaker 2: It was I remember that too, because you called me
- 2:15:38Speaker 2: and you're like, hey, I'm starting.
- 2:15:40Speaker 1: I was fired up and I legit watched that first
- 2:15:44Speaker 1: series I was like, oh no, no, I mean it
- 2:15:47Speaker 1: had to be the same way for me in the
- 2:15:49Speaker 1: Cardinals game. Yeah, I had a it wasn't that bad
- 2:15:53Speaker 1: that it was bad. His game wasn't that bad. Was
- 2:15:56Speaker 1: that the worst game you've ever seen a player play.
- 2:16:00Speaker 2: Live? Yeah?
- 2:16:01Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, you legit think that was shocked at all
- 2:16:05Speaker 1: that whole game. Dude, you literally called me in your office.
- 2:16:09Speaker 1: He called me and he's like, hey, come to my office.
- 2:16:10Speaker 1: I'm thinking I might actually get cut. I have no
- 2:16:14Speaker 1: idea driving. And you were really nice. You were like, hey,
- 2:16:16Speaker 1: I want you to know, like you didn't lose that game.
- 2:16:18Speaker 1: You did not lose this long season. Brother, We're gonna
- 2:16:20Speaker 1: need to get back. Yeah, that was probably the worst.
- 2:16:23Speaker 2: I think.
- 2:16:23Speaker 1: I was talking to Uh, I saw a tailor and
- 2:16:25Speaker 1: Mike about all the way back from Kittlefest, and I
- 2:16:27Speaker 1: was like, that was the worst day of my life.
- 2:16:29Speaker 2: I think there's no question that that was. Like it
- 2:16:33Speaker 2: was like tough for the rest of the Oh, I
- 2:16:35Speaker 2: bet I remember, uh, who was it? Who was the OC?
- 2:16:39Speaker 2: Was it Todd? Todd was the OC?
- 2:16:41Speaker 1: And he's like, first play running behind you, like he
- 2:16:43Speaker 1: just there was a couple of plays into high a
- 2:16:45Speaker 1: couple of screens. I had a couple of like plays.
- 2:16:47Speaker 1: I was like a lead blocker, and I remember calling
- 2:16:50Speaker 1: you going to get my IV. I'm like, hey, this
- 2:16:52Speaker 1: this game plan. I got like a lot in it,
- 2:16:53Speaker 1: and I'm still gonna it. Was like the most confident
- 2:16:55Speaker 1: I've ever gone into a game of my entire life.
- 2:16:58Speaker 1: And then after this second years like, oh wow, dude,
- 2:17:01Speaker 1: there's nothing worse sitting in the third quarter just getting
- 2:17:05Speaker 1: your ship pushed in, just hoping that.
- 2:17:07Speaker 2: The game ends.
- 2:17:07Speaker 1: Yeah, like hopefully you know, there's a lightning and they're
- 2:17:10Speaker 1: just hey, we'll just end it now. You're just like,
- 2:17:12Speaker 1: oh my god, there's really nothing you can do. You
- 2:17:15Speaker 1: look up at Ruse and uh Corey and they're just
- 2:17:17Speaker 1: looking at you back, and you're like they can't say nothing.
- 2:17:20Speaker 1: That was nothing to say. That was rough, but that
- 2:17:24Speaker 1: was really nice of you. I do appreciate that. The
- 2:17:25Speaker 1: conversation we have, well, I appreciate it. I'm happy for
- 2:17:29Speaker 1: you guys. You guys kick ass man. You guys are
- 2:17:32Speaker 1: doing great.
