Engelland Heads to Houston | Oklahoma City Thunder News
The Oklahoma City Thunder just lost their “Shot Doctor,” Chip Engelland, who’s now joining the Houston Rockets as an assistant coach — a major move for a team hungry to boost its shooting. After four seasons with OKC, where he transformed their three-point game from dead last to league-leading, Engelland brings his legendary Spurs-era expertise to Houston. His connection with head coach Ime Udoka and proven ability to unlock shooters make this hire a strategic shot in the dark — or rather, a strategic shot in the arm for the Rockets’ offense.
