- 0:56Speaker 3: rapper name? Oh from episode one eighty smoke that proper rumpus.
- 1:04Speaker 4: Look at the damn.
- 1:07Speaker 5: I just listened to that this week in the car
- 1:11Speaker 5: in the commute, and I was like, how have I
- 1:13Speaker 5: never heard this before? But I'm like, from now on
- 1:17Speaker 5: you are mc testes nuts.
- 1:19Speaker 2: I've totally forgot its sweet, I love it.
- 1:24Speaker 1: I gotta bring up I should bring it.
- 1:26Speaker 4: Back a rap, Yeah, bars man, White guys are doing
- 1:30Speaker 4: a lot.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Better these days nowadays.
- 1:33Speaker 2: They were back then, but the oppression and now we
- 1:35Speaker 2: can finally wrap.
- 1:37Speaker 4: M had to take a step down. M had to
- 1:41Speaker 4: start sucking for that to happen.
- 1:42Speaker 5: But I mean, hey, I'm only halfway good at Canadian rap,
- 1:47Speaker 5: which is you know, c rap.
- 1:50Speaker 6: So yeah, I trip over my words a lot.
- 1:56Speaker 5: That's a problem.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Yeah, unless you do mumble rap man, mumble raps and
- 2:03Speaker 2: be good.
- 2:05Speaker 6: I've never heard it, but I've heard of it. I'm
- 2:09Speaker 6: just kind of afraid to listen to one, and I
- 2:11Speaker 6: just don't go. I don't want to.
- 2:14Speaker 1: It's not like a sm R, and it's pretty much
- 2:17Speaker 1: just listening to the music and not.
- 2:18Speaker 4: That it's more like a s SMR. At that point,
- 2:21Speaker 4: I'm generation X. I can't tell you anything good about
- 2:24Speaker 4: mumble Rap. I know, in the world of a hip
- 2:27Speaker 4: hop fan, that's probably one of the most sacrilegious things
- 2:29Speaker 4: to say, because it's like, oh no, it takes so quick. Yeah,
- 2:32Speaker 4: but no, I was born seventy nine, dude, Yeah, there's
- 2:35Speaker 4: no there. I was raised there the jay Z's and
- 2:38Speaker 4: the biggies and the Nases and the snoops and yeah,
- 2:40Speaker 4: there's there's no way on God's green Earth anybody like
- 2:43Speaker 4: with ya and two three four five iphen is like
- 2:46Speaker 4: the hotest nigga in the streets right now. Doesn't work
- 2:49Speaker 4: for me.
- 2:51Speaker 5: Anyway. You can't tell, either from the title or from
- 2:55Speaker 5: his beautifully silky voice. Our special guest this episode is Jabo, Hey, Jama,
- 2:59Speaker 5: what's going on?
- 3:00Speaker 4: What's going on? What's up? What's up?
- 3:03Speaker 5: What's up? So long time no here, long time no
- 3:06Speaker 5: see man. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's probably our fault.
- 3:10Speaker 1: We should do it that's our fault.
- 3:12Speaker 5: It's okay be on more often, but I understand you're
- 3:15Speaker 5: busy as well.
- 3:17Speaker 4: Yeah, this episode came at the most fantastic time because literally,
- 3:21Speaker 4: when one of my people says, been begging this is
- 3:23Speaker 4: so weird. It has been begging me maliciously to stop fucking
- 3:26Speaker 4: around and watch Cobra Kai. Oh so you guys are
- 3:30Speaker 4: you guys are literally my break between season one and
- 3:32Speaker 4: season two, And I'm like wow, because I mean, it's working.
- 3:37Speaker 4: But no, Yeah, there's been a lot of shit I've
- 3:38Speaker 4: been working on. I don't know. I keep every time
- 3:41Speaker 4: I'm on here, I have like this ninety year speech,
- 3:43Speaker 4: but get better, we get better, we get better, and
- 3:45Speaker 4: then I just keep inventing shit for myself.
- 3:48Speaker 1: It's getting better, man.
- 3:49Speaker 4: But at least at least I can say Ruckers Juice
- 3:53Speaker 4: is is own point. And that's because I have hands
- 3:57Speaker 4: down and I'm not hating on any person I've ever
- 3:59Speaker 4: worked had a show with, but hands down, I go
- 4:02Speaker 4: is the ship dude, Like, oh my god, the time
- 4:05Speaker 4: that that that guy puts in to make that show
- 4:08Speaker 4: a success is it's a fucking unparalleled. I mean, like,
- 4:13Speaker 4: when I tell you, when I tell you there's chunks,
- 4:17Speaker 4: Like every time we named something flavor Camp, it's because
- 4:20Speaker 4: he was working a graveyard shift. He's in air traffic
- 4:22Speaker 4: controller and he would literally go in on his breaks
- 4:26Speaker 4: and during his breaks at like two thirty in the morning,
- 4:28Speaker 4: three thirty in the morning, shit like that. We come
- 4:30Speaker 4: in and we record pieces and then I'd edit and
- 4:33Speaker 4: piece them together later or he'd have time to sit
- 4:35Speaker 4: and do them all. And we did this. The longest
- 4:38Speaker 4: run we had was for six weeks, So like, we
- 4:42Speaker 4: ran six weeks of recording. Some nights we would some
- 4:44Speaker 4: nice we wouldn't, but he he, that dude does amazing
- 4:47Speaker 4: shit to make proper rumpus look good and to make
- 4:51Speaker 4: ruckus juice work. So yeah, absolutely, that's been the biggest
- 4:54Speaker 4: thing that I've been happy about. No matter how busy
- 4:56Speaker 4: I've been, that that has stayed constant. So I'm good. Awesome,
- 5:01Speaker 4: that's cool, awesome.
- 5:04Speaker 5: Yeah anyway, uh yeah, so I guess that'll be our
- 5:08Speaker 5: intro question. Like considering Cobra Kai, what are you watching?
- 5:13Speaker 5: Ask for me your host pants s Aaron, I can
- 5:16Speaker 5: tell you I got Amazon Prime just so I could
- 5:19Speaker 5: watch Leverage Redemption because I I there is no other
- 5:25Speaker 5: show that I can think of that depicts rich people
- 5:28Speaker 5: doing dirty things and then getting their come uppance for it.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Good. Yeah yeah.
- 5:35Speaker 5: Seeing rich people get screwed out of all their money
- 5:38Speaker 5: or their companies or what have you is enormously cathartic
- 5:46Speaker 5: in these modern times. So I absolutely needed it. And
- 5:50Speaker 5: I'm like, fuck it, I hate Amazon, but I'll spring
- 5:52Speaker 5: for Prime just to watch this fucking show. Goddamnit. I
- 5:55Speaker 5: need it right.
- 5:57Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:00Speaker 5: They just started season three and I think there's four
- 6:03Speaker 5: episodes out, but there will be more and I'm looking
- 6:06Speaker 5: forward to the rest of them. But anyway, uh and
- 6:09Speaker 5: also playing along with us today. He's a gamer and
- 6:12Speaker 5: a storyteller. He used to be my youngest friend. Now
- 6:14Speaker 5: he's just ougi.
- 6:18Speaker 6: They are They.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Actually showed up.
- 6:20Speaker 7: No, No, they were here before. They just forgot to
- 6:22Speaker 7: cheer for me sign they remembered to cheer for you.
- 6:25Speaker 5: They forgot to cheer for me and jobbo.
- 6:27Speaker 8: I think.
- 6:29Speaker 4: That's okay.
- 6:31Speaker 5: It's it's just me who doesn't deserve it.
- 6:33Speaker 7: I just don't think you're hearing them be very quiet
- 6:38Speaker 7: about it.
- 6:38Speaker 5: Shut the funk up? What are you watching?
- 6:42Speaker 6: Yeah? Oh, now you want me to talk a question,
- 6:48Speaker 6: then you speak ah, yes, that's usually how it works,
- 6:51Speaker 6: isn't it. Well let's see here, what have I been
- 6:53Speaker 6: watching lately? Besides you mauled, I've been watching anime. We
- 7:01Speaker 6: we got access the country roll again, so we've been
- 7:04Speaker 6: trying to catch up on some anime that we haven't
- 7:07Speaker 6: watched before that we've been hearing about.
- 7:10Speaker 1: We've watched one that was all the all the new
- 7:12Speaker 1: ones that came up, like Solo Leveling.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I've been or I I've been resurrected as a slime.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Yeah, that one time I was.
- 7:20Speaker 7: That was amazing, reincarnated as the slime.
- 7:22Speaker 6: And then like I was recommended watching Overlord and like
- 7:27Speaker 6: something else. We also started watching dragon Ball again because
- 7:32Speaker 6: Jesus super.
- 7:33Speaker 7: Yeah, well you are super. But I'm thinking about going
- 7:37Speaker 7: back and watching Z again.
- 7:38Speaker 4: Oh so much. There's so much dragon.
- 7:41Speaker 7: Ball they're still going.
- 7:44Speaker 1: It was like dragon Ball Boudikai or some ship cocky.
- 7:48Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 7:49Speaker 5: It wasn't the fighting games.
- 7:51Speaker 4: Yea, there's a I think there's a new one out now.
- 7:54Speaker 5: Yeah, I've seen it at the Attorney's like evo. Yeah yeah.
- 8:01Speaker 6: Uh.
- 8:01Speaker 5: Anyway, finally, he is a veteran and a podcaster and
- 8:06Speaker 5: uh Weirdly, he's also a veteran podcaster.
- 8:09Speaker 2: It's Stevie, Hello, Hello, how is everybody this afternoon?
- 8:14Speaker 5: And I feel like you've already answered this question.
- 8:15Speaker 2: But watching, aside from the anime stuff, I've been watching
- 8:20Speaker 2: Peacemaker again.
- 8:23Speaker 1: For the new season coming out, because.
- 8:27Speaker 2: I'm like John Cena, I could have him relieve and
- 8:30Speaker 2: don't really care one way or the other. He's okay,
- 8:32Speaker 2: but you know whatever, but in this role, Holy fuck.
- 8:37Speaker 2: And then having like I don't know if anybody's seen it, Vigilante.
- 8:40Speaker 2: He's probably like my favorite character in the whole.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Thing, Like, but everybody.
- 8:44Speaker 2: The chemistry between all the characters is fucking amazing. And
- 8:48Speaker 2: it's a gory action quote unquote superhero type movie with.
- 8:54Speaker 1: A lot of comedy in it, and I like it.
- 8:56Speaker 1: And the writing's witty as fuck.
- 8:58Speaker 4: Is freaking fantastic, and the improv and it is absolutely
- 9:04Speaker 4: a testament to the fact that I'm telling you right now,
- 9:07Speaker 4: there is not I want somebody to test this theory.
- 9:10Speaker 4: There's nothing that James Gunn can't get to work. I
- 9:13Speaker 4: get the fact that he's like, oh, look, we're fractured,
- 9:16Speaker 4: we're all family, and somehow we'll go to love each other.
- 9:18Speaker 4: I get the fact that that's the theme for every
- 9:20Speaker 4: fucking movie that he touches, but the fact that he
- 9:23Speaker 4: seriously had a suit a suicide squad we where people
- 9:26Speaker 4: fight a starfish and it worked. Do Teasemakers? Excellent. I'm
- 9:30Speaker 4: looking forward to season two as well too.
- 9:32Speaker 1: I'm so excited.
- 9:33Speaker 2: I've just been going on YouTube Suberman now, isn't he.
- 9:36Speaker 4: He's doing super He's Him and Peter Sarafin are the
- 9:39Speaker 4: heads of DC what do they call it, DC Studios
- 9:41Speaker 4: or whatever, so they're in control of everything. Creature Commandos
- 9:45Speaker 4: was the series that came out animated that was pretty good. Uh.
- 9:48Speaker 4: They just wrapped filming on Supergirl. Superman's coming out. The
- 9:51Speaker 4: Green Lantern series Lanterns is coming out, and they're describing
- 9:55Speaker 4: that as like true detective meets comic book. Yeah, dude,
- 9:58Speaker 4: they've they've got the ball rolling on a lot of shit.
- 10:01Speaker 1: You need him to like fix the cinematic shit bad.
- 10:05Speaker 4: Yeah, And he's And the thing is they have like
- 10:07Speaker 4: twelve or thirty probably more than that, but they have
- 10:09Speaker 4: like twelve or thirteen projects about the come out. There's
- 10:12Speaker 4: a lot of shit they got going with.
- 10:13Speaker 1: Pipe hopefully it don't go too far into each.
- 10:16Speaker 5: Well, gentlemen, shall we play some games?
- 10:18Speaker 1: Fucking yes, yes, we're awesome all right.
- 10:21Speaker 5: Since there's an odd number of contestants today, we're gonna
- 10:23Speaker 5: play cutthroat everybody for themselves.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I like it.
- 10:28Speaker 5: So our first game is gonna be like share block.
- 10:29Speaker 5: I've got three news stories. All you got to do
- 10:31Speaker 5: is tell me which one I would like, which one
- 10:33Speaker 5: I would share, and which one I would block. On
- 10:34Speaker 5: social media, there is one for each news story, and
- 10:37Speaker 5: there is only one correct combination. We're gonna go over
- 10:42Speaker 5: all three news stories in a row first, and then
- 10:44Speaker 5: you guys are gonna tell me what you think. So
- 10:46Speaker 5: our first story horny woodpecker vandalizing cars all over Massachusetts. So,
- 10:53Speaker 5: starting in late February, somebody started vandalizing cars around Rockport, Massachusetts. Okay,
- 11:00Speaker 5: leaving for work in the morning, people started finding that
- 11:02Speaker 5: somebody had broken their car side mirrors or windshields. And
- 11:05Speaker 5: it wasn't a couple of isolated incidents. To date, at
- 11:08Speaker 5: least twenty five vehicles Holy shallen victim to this vandal
- 11:12Speaker 5: So that's a criminal, yes it is. However, nobody spotted
- 11:17Speaker 5: anything or anyone suspicious, nor were there any traces or
- 11:20Speaker 5: clues around the vehicles. It was as if the person
- 11:22Speaker 5: could descend from the skies, break a mirror, and then
- 11:26Speaker 5: fly away. Well that was exactly what they were doing,
- 11:29Speaker 5: because the vandal is not a person but a male
- 11:32Speaker 5: pilated woodpecker. Dead Dick Rockwork resident Janelle Favalorro fifty nine
- 11:39Speaker 5: was one of, if not the first person in town
- 11:41Speaker 5: to identify the rampaging car vandal. Her car got smashed first,
- 11:47Speaker 5: and she suspected her husband, who then blamed their son cars.
- 11:53Speaker 5: But then her her brother in law's car parked next
- 11:57Speaker 5: to her house got vandalized as well, and this time
- 11:59Speaker 5: she saw the culprit perching on top of the car. No,
- 12:05Speaker 5: she wrote a social media post saying there's been a
- 12:08Speaker 5: vandal breaking vehicle mirrors. He's described as eighteen to twenty
- 12:12Speaker 5: four inches tall, wearing black and white with a red hat.
- 12:16Speaker 5: Of course, she is describing the bird's look right. Once
- 12:22Speaker 5: neighbors knew what to look for, they figured out it
- 12:25Speaker 5: was actually the woodpecker who was damaging all their cars.
- 12:28Speaker 5: And it turns out it's because he's horny and he
- 12:31Speaker 5: doesn't want any male competitors going after the lady woodpeckers
- 12:34Speaker 5: in the area. However, there really aren't any male woodpeckers around.
- 12:38Speaker 5: The only ones he've seen has been his own reflection sense.
- 12:43Speaker 7: Shit, you would not think about what little has happened?
- 12:47Speaker 1: Like what the fuck?
- 12:50Speaker 5: And this story was big enough to hit the New
- 12:52Speaker 5: York Times.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Well yeah, just twenty something vehicles. I mean, like, fuck
- 12:58Speaker 1: that little bird. Dude.
- 12:59Speaker 2: If I like, if I had my sports car and shit,
- 13:02Speaker 2: I came out and that shit.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Was broken, I'm like, what the fuck?
- 13:04Speaker 2: Okay, whatever stone happened again or some shit, and no,
- 13:08Speaker 2: I'm like, that's malicious.
- 13:09Speaker 1: That bird has to go. I mean, you here, capture
- 13:11Speaker 1: it and get it out.
- 13:12Speaker 6: Most people like that, like do that, like vandalized vehicles,
- 13:16Speaker 6: stuff like that. When you hear about their offenses, it's
- 13:18Speaker 6: usually like in a small teens or whatever.
- 13:21Speaker 1: It's never like and not like not that many, yeah,
- 13:23Speaker 1: never that much. Fucking birds usually caught way before then.
- 13:27Speaker 2: See, that's why the government's replacing all these birds with
- 13:30Speaker 2: those robot birds that survey, just to make sure ship
- 13:33Speaker 2: like this don't happen again. Go government overwatch, We're on
- 13:37Speaker 2: your side.
- 13:44Speaker 5: Jesus.
- 13:46Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
- 13:50Speaker 4: Uh.
- 13:51Speaker 5: An animal specialist from Brown University with the greatest name ever,
- 13:54Speaker 5: Matthew Fox Jagger.
- 13:56Speaker 1: No way, no. Uh.
- 13:59Speaker 5: A few ex A G. E. R. Told The New
- 14:04Speaker 5: York Times that they're a ferocious bird and they're really strong.
- 14:07Speaker 5: It is the biomechanical equivalent of a hammer.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I can believe it. That's crazy.
- 14:14Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Do you think you could train woodpeckers to like, you know.
- 14:19Speaker 6: No.
- 14:22Speaker 5: Any thoughts.
- 14:24Speaker 4: I'm just I'm still at the part where you were
- 14:26Speaker 4: reading about how many cars? Yeah, and I'm pretty sure
- 14:31Speaker 4: that did. Stevie's reaction was, oh god, And I'm like,
- 14:36Speaker 4: why did you just sound like like we just found
- 14:38Speaker 4: out like a kid got hit by a car something.
- 14:41Speaker 4: I'm like, like, I mean, twitty is a crazy number.
- 14:43Speaker 4: But you said that ship like it was devastatingly terrible,
- 14:47Speaker 4: like we just found out like a tsunami took out China.
- 14:50Speaker 4: You're like, there is no Jesus somebody, man, I think
- 14:55Speaker 4: that's an awesome story. I think that's I think whoever
- 14:59Speaker 4: wrote that, I immediately every time I listen to the show,
- 15:05Speaker 4: and ever i'm a part of it, I'm automatically like,
- 15:07Speaker 4: where the fuck do you find this ship. Either I
- 15:09Speaker 4: need to live closer to New York because it's no bullshit.
- 15:14Speaker 4: On days that I'm like too busy with my daughter
- 15:16Speaker 4: to post positive stuff, I would love to post random
- 15:19Speaker 4: stories like this, like Ory Woodpicker funks the ship out
- 15:21Speaker 4: of cars. I'm like, you know what I'm saying. It's
- 15:25Speaker 4: like you wake up to Trump Trump Trump Trump, Trump's
- 15:27Speaker 4: like Jesus Christ. Woodpicker fucks the ship out of a car.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Like, I'm there, you know what I'm saying.
- 15:35Speaker 4: It writes itself. You're like and and I love the
- 15:42Speaker 4: fact that the story is so that there's a build
- 15:44Speaker 4: up to it before you find out, Like you read
- 15:46Speaker 4: the title, so you know it's coming, but the story
- 15:48Speaker 4: you're just like, oh, it's the I know, it's the birds.
- 15:51Speaker 4: It's the birds. The bird, it's the bird. And then
- 15:54Speaker 4: it's like it's the bird, and you kind of do
- 15:56Speaker 4: like a silent fist pump.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Yeah, got you.
- 16:02Speaker 4: All right.
- 16:02Speaker 5: Well, I hope you enjoy our remaining stories as much.
- 16:05Speaker 5: Let's move on to story number two. Drunk chimpanzees proved
- 16:10Speaker 5: getting crunk with friends actually older than humans.
- 16:14Speaker 1: I believe it.
- 16:18Speaker 5: So to see what the chimpanzees at the canton Has
- 16:22Speaker 5: National Park in the small western African country of Guinea
- 16:24Speaker 5: bissauget up to A team led by the University of
- 16:28Speaker 5: Exeter set up motion activated cameras in the park's forests,
- 16:32Speaker 5: and the cameras caught behavior that nobody had documented before.
- 16:36Speaker 5: The chimpanzees would gather around fallen fruit of the African
- 16:39Speaker 5: breadfruit tree. After checking their remains, the team confirmed that
- 16:44Speaker 5: these fruits had begun fermenting and had turned alcoholic, and
- 16:48Speaker 5: in the videos, the chimps break the fruits apart and
- 16:52Speaker 5: then pass the pieces around to their friends, like handing
- 16:55Speaker 5: out cold ones at a barbarie. Yes, of course nature
- 16:59Speaker 5: is crazy. Anything unusual happening once and it is a coincidence. However,
- 17:02Speaker 5: the researchers saw this happening at least ten times.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Oh shit, yeah, it's a weekly.
- 17:10Speaker 5: So the apes passed a bunch of fruit around. What's
- 17:12Speaker 5: the big deal. Well, it's weird because chimpanzees don't tend
- 17:16Speaker 5: to share their meals. They don't share food. They get
- 17:20Speaker 5: kind of territorial about it. So doctor Kimberly Hawking said,
- 17:25Speaker 5: chimps don't share food all the time. So this behavior
- 17:27Speaker 5: with fermented fruit might be important. The fact that the
- 17:31Speaker 5: fruit was alcoholic is another oddity, because animals don't tend
- 17:35Speaker 5: to intentionally get drunk, with some exceptions as being drunk
- 17:39Speaker 5: is a great way to get killed in nature.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 17:44Speaker 7: In general.
- 17:44Speaker 5: Really, to be fair, the breadfruits aren't exactly tequila. According
- 17:50Speaker 5: to the researchers, the highest measured level of alcohol and
- 17:52Speaker 5: the fruit was zero point six one percent, about as
- 17:56Speaker 5: much as you would get in orange juice. That said,
- 18:00Speaker 5: it's unlikely the chimpanzees are aiming to get drunk. But
- 18:05Speaker 5: to be fair, we don't know how alcohol effects chimpanzees.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Maybe they're real lightweights, and they are lighter than us, yeah,
- 18:11Speaker 2: by a lot, in a quarter of our weight.
- 18:14Speaker 7: There are also more active so that would be going
- 18:17Speaker 7: into their bloodstreams.
- 18:19Speaker 5: But we do know that they are related to humans,
- 18:21Speaker 5: and for humans, drinking alcohol leads to a release of
- 18:23Speaker 5: dopamine and endorphins and the resulting feelings of happiness and relaxation.
- 18:28Speaker 1: So so this is the next step. Just be like,
- 18:30Speaker 1: here's a crown we've already have been passing in along, guys. Okay,
- 18:35Speaker 1: it's the alcohol. It's one hundred percent of the alcohol.
- 18:38Speaker 6: So we've already found evidence of them using like tools,
- 18:41Speaker 6: like they have a lot of them already basically have
- 18:44Speaker 6: met like the prerequisite of.
- 18:46Speaker 5: The Stone Age.
- 18:47Speaker 6: Yes, and so it would make sense that they'd also
- 18:51Speaker 6: find something that would actually help, like purposely make them
- 18:54Speaker 6: feel better like we would. And also, yeah, it's it
- 18:57Speaker 6: would make sense also that they've been doing it a
- 19:00Speaker 6: lot longer than possibly even humans.
- 19:03Speaker 7: I don't know where in the evolutionary chart where humans
- 19:06Speaker 7: and lemurs land, but lemurs like bugs to get high.
- 19:10Speaker 2: That's true. That's fucking amazing. Lemurs are awesome.
- 19:14Speaker 1: So so like, let's just get let's just get hit.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Dude, dude, dude, check this out, like it just leak it,
- 19:20Speaker 2: just a little bit, leak it.
- 19:21Speaker 5: You love it.
- 19:22Speaker 2: I don't want to be a lemur when I get
- 19:24Speaker 2: reincarnated a lemur sounds awesome.
- 19:26Speaker 4: Why, like, of everything in the universe, Like, why anything
- 19:33Speaker 4: else were you shooting for a dolphin til you find
- 19:36Speaker 4: out that they're like rapist assholes? There when you found
- 19:43Speaker 4: out that dolphins are pretty much like any fucking eighties
- 19:46Speaker 4: villain from the Revenge of the Nerds movie.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I was gonna say, dude, the fucking dolphins are
- 19:50Speaker 1: just humans of the fucking ocean, that's all.
- 19:53Speaker 4: I think all organisms have a way to get fucked up.
- 19:56Speaker 4: I think I can't. But I don't know. Man, there's
- 20:00Speaker 4: everybody keeps oh, there's so many things that separate us
- 20:02Speaker 4: from this and separate us from that, and blah blah blah.
- 20:05Speaker 4: I don't know. There's there's a part of me that
- 20:07Speaker 4: believes that there's at least some common thread that did
- 20:11Speaker 4: most organisms have And I'm not gonna I'm not gonna
- 20:13Speaker 4: hang my hat on the wolves get fucked up. And
- 20:16Speaker 4: I mean, it's not exactly that far fetched. But like
- 20:20Speaker 4: I mean, I don't, I don't. I mean, there's instances
- 20:23Speaker 4: of insects doing it, like you said, lemurs do it. Uh,
- 20:27Speaker 4: you know, there's been in tons of instances that that
- 20:30Speaker 4: you could google and find, or different creatures have been
- 20:34Speaker 4: known to eat something that makes them feel a little funnier,
- 20:36Speaker 4: or drink something that makes them feel funny, that kind
- 20:38Speaker 4: of shit. So for me, it's not that far fetched.
- 20:41Speaker 4: I mean, especially since I'm one of those ignorant people
- 20:43Speaker 4: that think that everything that was in Planet of the
- 20:45Speaker 4: Apes is like real. So I've seen them ride horses
- 20:49Speaker 4: and create a society, So getting drunk is it really
- 20:51Speaker 4: that fucking impressive to me? Years I've seen you guys
- 20:58Speaker 4: take down Woody Harrelson and he can ride horseback. Motherfucker,
- 21:01Speaker 4: having a beard does not impress me. This is why
- 21:10Speaker 4: you're not on the show a lot.
- 21:14Speaker 5: This is why we need to have your story. Number
- 21:19Speaker 5: three man seeks, sinks waste deep and quicksand scores a girlfriend.
- 21:24Speaker 1: In the sand.
- 21:26Speaker 5: Well, technically, yes, the man was out on a sunset
- 21:30Speaker 5: walk on a Lake, Michigan beach with his coworker. The
- 21:33Speaker 5: two absolutely positively were not officially dating, but we're only
- 21:37Speaker 5: out together. Some leland bluestones, which typically populate on the beach.
- 21:43Speaker 5: Apparently it's like slag from a factory nearby. But when
- 21:48Speaker 5: crossing the ground in front of a water runoff, the
- 21:51Speaker 5: man suddenly sank waste deep into the wet sand. He
- 21:54Speaker 5: tried to free himself, but to no avail. After struggling
- 21:58Speaker 5: for a while, they realized it was time for to
- 22:01Speaker 5: call for help. They both called nine one one separately.
- 22:06Speaker 5: The the man said, oh, my girlfriend's also calling uh
- 22:11Speaker 5: nine one one on the other line, and the girl said,
- 22:13Speaker 5: my boyfriend's trapped in quicksand and once the two of
- 22:18Speaker 5: them had said those words, it was pretty much undeniable.
- 22:21Speaker 5: Their relationship had become quote unquote Facebook official.
- 22:27Speaker 1: That's that's how they gave it to. The operator was
- 22:32Speaker 1: the first one to know.
- 22:34Speaker 5: Not their friends, right, well, I don't think even they
- 22:37Speaker 5: knew until they both refer to themselves that way. At
- 22:40Speaker 5: any event, rescuers quickly arrived and pulled the man free
- 22:42Speaker 5: of the quicksand trap. He was fine. Yeah, I think
- 22:47Speaker 5: it only went up to his waist. I don't think.
- 22:49Speaker 6: Yeah, No, Typically quicksand pits are not that deep. It
- 22:54Speaker 6: would get it's getting stuck in it, and like dying
- 22:56Speaker 6: from starvation or dehydration is what the real killer from
- 22:59Speaker 6: it is.
- 23:00Speaker 7: Or if you accidentally like slip or.
- 23:02Speaker 2: Something you want to do is try to get on
- 23:04Speaker 2: your belly, like flatten yourself and start walking like a
- 23:07Speaker 2: crab and then you'll start moving and shimming. You gotta
- 23:10Speaker 2: get as much surface area on top of the sand
- 23:13Speaker 2: as possible.
- 23:13Speaker 5: Are we being Stevie, No, that's how you do it.
- 23:17Speaker 6: It's like it's like with ice if you don't want
- 23:18Speaker 6: it to crack anytimes.
- 23:22Speaker 5: STEVIEE confidently says something that I don't know I immediately.
- 23:26Speaker 6: Go fair no, no, no, no, you got to distribute
- 23:30Speaker 6: your weight so you don't sink.
- 23:32Speaker 1: I'll tell your survival ship that stuff really fair enough.
- 23:35Speaker 5: Jobo, any thoughts.
- 23:39Speaker 4: To be honest, I'm like, wow, Og knows a lot
- 23:43Speaker 4: about fucking quick saying, like this motherfucker went in to
- 23:48Speaker 4: fucking what's his name, Sam Neil Jurassic Park mode.
- 23:52Speaker 9: He's just like, it's not that deep. The thing is,
- 23:56Speaker 9: you get stuck in your dog from starvation. It's not
- 23:58Speaker 9: when you had child, when you thought it was going
- 23:59Speaker 9: to and go. You totally You'll never see the l
- 24:01Speaker 9: like a day again. Have a fucking sandwich because you
- 24:06Speaker 9: can't move. I'm like, I'm like, like, I know now.
- 24:10Speaker 4: It'll put the odds of it ever happened, because like,
- 24:12Speaker 4: apparently that's one of the thing they scared the ship
- 24:14Speaker 4: out of you when you were a kid.
- 24:15Speaker 10: It's like quick saying in the black community. Yeah, even
- 24:20Speaker 10: in the black community. I don't know if anybody looks
- 24:23Speaker 10: like me has ever told you this? Yes, Quick saying
- 24:25Speaker 10: was there was a threat to us too. It wasn't
- 24:28Speaker 10: just drugs, it was quick saying as well. Because apparently
- 24:32Speaker 10: it's like watch out watch out for dry bys and
- 24:36Speaker 10: quick saying my nigga got you dog. But yeah, I
- 24:40Speaker 10: was like, oh, he knows a lot about quicksand like there's.
- 24:43Speaker 6: No sand out here either in the concrete that's Grassoggie
- 24:48Speaker 6: knows a lot about a lot.
- 24:49Speaker 1: Yeah you what to college.
- 24:51Speaker 7: I know a lot about a lot, but I really
- 24:53Speaker 7: don't know anything.
- 24:53Speaker 5: It's impressive. But he doesn't speak. He didn't used to speak.
- 24:56Speaker 5: Up of he speaks, you can't shut me up.
- 24:59Speaker 4: It's a I love it so much.
- 25:02Speaker 5: Any event, that's all three news stories. So we have
- 25:05Speaker 5: the horny woodpecker vandalizing cars all over Massachusetts, Drunk chimpanzees
- 25:09Speaker 5: proved getting crunk with friends is actually older than humankind.
- 25:12Speaker 5: Uh and man seeks sinks waste deep in quicksand and
- 25:15Speaker 5: scores a girlfriend in the process. Jabo, you're our guest,
- 25:18Speaker 5: so I'm gonna let you go first. What what do
- 25:21Speaker 5: you think the correct combination is here?
- 25:24Speaker 4: Jesus, I say, share the funking share the fucking woodpecker,
- 25:32Speaker 4: h block the chimpanzee and like the actually yeah, and
- 25:42Speaker 4: I'll stay with it, and like the quicksand.
- 25:44Speaker 5: Okay, share block like all right out of Augie and CV.
- 25:49Speaker 5: I can't remember which one of you won a game least,
- 25:52Speaker 5: but I'm gonna say it with Stevie so Ogie, I'm
- 25:54Speaker 5: gonna give you the choice. You can keep one of Jabbo's,
- 25:58Speaker 5: we have to swap the other two. And what was
- 25:59Speaker 5: his share blake share block? Like I said, she blanke
- 26:04Speaker 5: lock sherry bike.
- 26:08Speaker 7: Honestly, I think it's in order. I think it's like
- 26:10Speaker 7: share block.
- 26:11Speaker 5: You think it's like share block, like.
- 26:12Speaker 6: The woodpecker, share the chimpanzees and block the quicksand Okay.
- 26:17Speaker 5: Interesting, And finally, Stevie, you have to have a separate
- 26:21Speaker 5: answer from the other two. But again, they both went
- 26:24Speaker 5: their own way. So you can pick one of them
- 26:26Speaker 5: and then stick one of them the same and swap
- 26:28Speaker 5: the other two. Or you can block the first story,
- 26:31Speaker 5: in which case you can do whatever you want with
- 26:32Speaker 5: the other two.
- 26:36Speaker 6: I gotta share the okay, so you're gonna share the
- 26:39Speaker 6: first one, which means you're gonna like the drunk chimpanzees
- 26:42Speaker 6: and block the quicksand girlfriend.
- 26:45Speaker 4: Okay.
- 26:47Speaker 5: Well, I am pleased to say that it does not
- 26:49Speaker 5: matter because Jobo got it right, absolutely correct. I shared
- 26:55Speaker 5: the horny woodpecker because goddamn, that's funny instant. Of course,
- 27:01Speaker 5: I'm going to share that. That's great, Uh drunk chimpanzees,
- 27:05Speaker 5: it's kind of cute. But I actually thought the guy,
- 27:08Speaker 5: the guy and the girl accidentally calling each other bir
- 27:11Speaker 5: boyfriend and girlfriend and now they're together is kind of cute.
- 27:14Speaker 5: So I threw them ake you it is because I'm
- 27:17Speaker 5: older now.
- 27:18Speaker 1: He started this show.
- 27:19Speaker 2: You know, like, this is fucking obnoxious ship.
- 27:22Speaker 5: I've dropped a lot of the bitterness about being single
- 27:25Speaker 5: and now I just enjoy it.
- 27:26Speaker 4: So I don't know that third story just works though,
- 27:30Speaker 4: because like even with the childhood think, you're like, oh man,
- 27:32Speaker 4: you thought it was a kid that you were immediately
- 27:34Speaker 4: just gonna die and quick say it. But then this
- 27:36Speaker 4: dude not only doesn't die, he gets a girlfriend out
- 27:38Speaker 4: of it. Come on, that's gold right there. That's the need.
- 27:42Speaker 4: They need to have a kid immediately. So that's the story.
- 27:45Speaker 5: In the movies, the hero or his girlfriend would get
- 27:48Speaker 5: caught in this quick sand or they both would get
- 27:50Speaker 5: caught together, they get pulled out, and they'd wind up
- 27:53Speaker 5: in love in the end. So it works. It all works.
- 27:55Speaker 1: This is made stage.
- 28:00Speaker 7: I just can't wait for the first real pandem you
- 28:02Speaker 7: can see.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Oh my god, do you think we'll let it? Do
- 28:05Speaker 1: you think we'll let us in? No?
- 28:06Speaker 6: No, no humans allowed sue those little monkeys, so that
- 28:12Speaker 6: discrimination it's humans.
- 28:15Speaker 5: They're great apes. Yea yeah. Anyway, cz Jabo score is
- 28:19Speaker 5: the first episode point. It is one to zero to zero. However,
- 28:23Speaker 5: there's plenty of game left in Game two is worth
- 28:25Speaker 5: two episode points. We're gonna play it right after this.
- 28:37Speaker 11: If you like fun, then you're gonna love the beard
- 28:40Speaker 11: Ol Podcast. It's a podcast where we talk about two
- 28:43Speaker 11: of the greatest things in the world, Beer and weird Out.
- 28:46Speaker 11: And frankly, we talk more about weird Out than anything
- 28:49Speaker 11: because he's the gift that keeps on given. So join
- 28:53Speaker 11: us as we talk through weird Al's career, what he
- 28:57Speaker 11: needs to us, and we have some very special guests
- 29:00Speaker 11: on to discuss the magic that is Alfred Matthew Yankovic
- 29:04Speaker 11: speared out part of the Gods Media Network.
- 29:08Speaker 5: Hey man, welcome back. We got some stuff from you guys,
- 29:12Speaker 5: including at least one voicemail. Right, yeah, all right, let's
- 29:15Speaker 5: listen to it.
- 29:20Speaker 8: Damn Rik, He is such a good book, Aaron, But
- 29:23Speaker 8: why the hell did you have to do?
- 29:24Speaker 1: Jamie Like that even if it worked so good with
- 29:26Speaker 1: the story.
- 29:29Speaker 4: Damn love you guys.
- 29:34Speaker 6: That was Bill.
- 29:35Speaker 5: Yeah, I have a sneaky suspicion that that oh Man.
- 29:40Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, I mean STEVIEE knows he's he's read the No,
- 29:45Speaker 5: you you read the first chapter?
- 29:46Speaker 1: I waiting, no, wait until I have a break.
- 29:49Speaker 2: Okay, since I've been at work all this time, it's
- 29:51Speaker 2: just me running the whole kitchen, so I haven't.
- 29:53Speaker 5: Fair RESHI but you you read the first sentence.
- 29:56Speaker 2: And I put the book down.
- 30:00Speaker 1: I was said, and angry, and.
- 30:03Speaker 5: Now you know what you're for.
- 30:05Speaker 1: I've warned you countless time, I know, but every time.
- 30:08Speaker 5: And at least he didn't say nothing.
- 30:09Speaker 1: I know every time. I yeah, that's true, Thank you
- 30:11Speaker 1: so much, Bill.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Every time I look at the fucking book, like I
- 30:16Speaker 2: lay in my bed, my book is on the opposite
- 30:18Speaker 2: shelf of my nurse saying, there's like my printer things
- 30:22Speaker 2: right there on top of it, and then Raco's on
- 30:23Speaker 2: top of that, and I'm looking at it all the
- 30:26Speaker 2: time like I wanna. But I'm in bed right now.
- 30:29Speaker 2: I do not want to read this before I go
- 30:31Speaker 2: to bed.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Every single night, STEVIEE.
- 30:37Speaker 5: You said we had something else as well. Is it
- 30:39Speaker 5: a comment or an email?
- 30:41Speaker 1: You got an email? This is online podcasting that takes
- 30:48Speaker 1: like me.
- 30:52Speaker 5: Okay, okay, this is interesting.
- 30:54Speaker 4: So Aaron, do you want to read what that says?
- 30:57Speaker 5: Okay? So, according to this group pod CEO, which I
- 31:01Speaker 5: guess is SEO, when listeners search for ZeVA da V
- 31:08Speaker 5: on Apple Podcasts or Spotify, because fuck you, that's why
- 31:12Speaker 5: podcast appears as the eighteenth result. But did you know
- 31:16Speaker 5: it's also the twenty second result for by Coastal and
- 31:20Speaker 5: the thirtieth result for fictional detectives. I mean that is fair.
- 31:30Speaker 5: We talk about fictional detectives. I get that Diva David,
- 31:35Speaker 5: that is Zeeva David was part of like one episode
- 31:38Speaker 5: with the By Coastal with it or no it was?
- 31:42Speaker 4: Was it?
- 31:42Speaker 5: Alani? We did it. We did a game where I
- 31:46Speaker 5: replaced the members of the Golden Girls with three you know,
- 31:49Speaker 5: powerful or women, and one of them was he I
- 31:55Speaker 5: was so confused with I guess I think ze Devide
- 31:57Speaker 5: was Betty White and it was just like you know,
- 32:00Speaker 5: so people had to buzz in and say Zeba daviead
- 32:02Speaker 5: like three or four times, So that might be why.
- 32:06Speaker 1: I don't know. So I was like, well, I gotta
- 32:08Speaker 1: look at Z now.
- 32:09Speaker 5: We've mentioned it like six more times, so it's just.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Put it in. And we did show up, and I'm like, okay,
- 32:22Speaker 1: that's awesome.
- 32:24Speaker 2: So I was just a little I was a little
- 32:26Speaker 2: giddy about that.
- 32:28Speaker 5: That's funny. It was delightful, alright. But if that's everything
- 32:32Speaker 5: for this week, all right, let's get back to the games.
- 32:36Speaker 5: Oggie hit it, Hey man, welcome back. It's time for
- 32:50Speaker 5: game two. Game two is going to be the cost
- 32:53Speaker 5: is correct. I've got five items here that recently went
- 32:56Speaker 5: up for auction, and all our players got to do
- 32:59Speaker 5: is bit as close as they can to the final
- 33:01Speaker 5: auction price of these items without going over, and try
- 33:05Speaker 5: and win as many listings as they can. The player
- 33:07Speaker 5: who's won the most out of five listings after all
- 33:10Speaker 5: five listenings are done will win the game and earn
- 33:13Speaker 5: two episode points. If there's a tie, they'll both get
- 33:15Speaker 5: the points. All right, it's pretty simple. We are gonna
- 33:19Speaker 5: go in order, and Steve and O you both lost
- 33:22Speaker 5: the last game, so I'm gonna leave it to well.
- 33:25Speaker 5: I I let Augie go first last time, so Steve,
- 33:28Speaker 5: I'm gonna.
- 33:28Speaker 4: Give it to you.
- 33:30Speaker 5: I'm gonna give it to you. Stevie. What would you
- 33:32Speaker 5: like to be first, second, or last to bid this first?
- 33:36Speaker 5: It'll be last, Okay. In that case, Jaba will be
- 33:40Speaker 5: first and Augie will be second. So we'll just go
- 33:43Speaker 5: in that order and we will rotate as the as
- 33:46Speaker 5: the listings go on, so everybody will get a chance
- 33:48Speaker 5: to be first, second, and third as we go on.
- 33:51Speaker 5: But let's get started with our first item up for bids. Uh.
- 33:55Speaker 5: It's this beautiful wood carving. The Casey Edwards Shelf Woodpecker
- 34:01Speaker 5: carving is designed and waited to sit on the edge
- 34:04Speaker 5: of a wooden shelf without falling off, and it's part
- 34:07Speaker 5: of the Casey's Shelf Critters collection. This listing can be
- 34:11Speaker 5: yours if the cost is correct. Jaba, what would you
- 34:15Speaker 5: like to bid for this beautiful wood carving?
- 34:19Speaker 4: Let's let's start her at five bucks?
- 34:21Speaker 5: Five dollars, says start start. It's five bucks, Aggie, what would.
- 34:27Speaker 7: You incredibly Harney woodpecker?
- 34:32Speaker 5: Fifty bucks? I didn't. I didn't say how it was
- 34:35Speaker 5: perching on the ledge or with what fifty fifty dollars
- 34:42Speaker 5: bids Aggie.
- 34:43Speaker 1: Stevie, I'll go one hundred dollars.
- 34:46Speaker 5: Shit, yeah, okay, okay, well I look forward to your reaction.
- 34:54Speaker 5: The actual final bid for this wooden woodpecker, two thousand,
- 35:00Speaker 5: one hundred and three dollars wins the listing.
- 35:03Speaker 2: I got that two thousand dollars thing for one hundred bucks, baby.
- 35:07Speaker 4: Yeah, what I need to figure out my fucking wood
- 35:09Speaker 4: carving woodpecker life.
- 35:14Speaker 1: Bus.
- 35:15Speaker 4: Why weren't you insulted?
- 35:19Speaker 5: It's not mine. I didn't put it up. I'm not
- 35:22Speaker 5: going to be insulted on behalf.
- 35:23Speaker 6: Of he's putting up little hit, little fucking wooden woodpecker,
- 35:27Speaker 6: the ship for two great man those erotic so much.
- 35:37Speaker 7: One grand ball sack. He's got the bird that the
- 35:42Speaker 7: bird doesn't have, because that's.
- 35:44Speaker 5: Not how it works. All right, Let's move on to our
- 35:48Speaker 5: second for bids. This time, Ogi, you're gonna bid first,
- 35:50Speaker 5: end Joba, you'll bid last, but doesn't. Our second item
- 35:53Speaker 5: up forbids is this collectible comic book, The Adventures of
- 35:57Speaker 5: Rex the Wonder Dog. Issue number features the first appearance
- 36:02Speaker 5: of Detective Chimp, what rated at a seven by the CGC.
- 36:09Speaker 5: This listing goes to whoever bits closest to the final
- 36:11Speaker 5: auction price without going over Augie start us off. Detective Chimp.
- 36:17Speaker 7: Huh hmmm, we're gonna sorry. I had five hundred.
- 36:21Speaker 5: Augie bids five hundred's Stevie.
- 36:23Speaker 1: I was not expecting Detective Chimp. I was not at all.

- 36:46Speaker 5: Twelve hundred dollars, says Stevie.

- 36:55Speaker 7: So I'm not much better.
- 36:58Speaker 5: Well, listen, the bidding low thing has worked before. There
- 37:02Speaker 5: have been multiple cases of our people bidding way too high,
- 37:06Speaker 5: So we'll see.

- 40:16Speaker 5: It's working for some people. Our next itema forbids is
- 40:18Speaker 5: this collectible figure, the super Alloy Mecca Gorilla, depicts a
- 40:23Speaker 5: solid steel gorilla shaped robot, but is actually a soft

- 40:31Speaker 5: and fifty. This figure was designed by famous artist Herota Saigon.
- 40:35Speaker 5: Show and this listing goes to the one of you

- 41:07Speaker 1: It is.
- 41:10Speaker 5: What do you want to do, Stevie, eight hundred, eight hundred,
- 41:16Speaker 5: just just cutting over Jabo like a dicky.
- 41:21Speaker 9: Here.
- 41:22Speaker 4: That's very price, is right of you? Yeah?
- 41:24Speaker 5: The actual final auction price of this item six thousand,
- 41:29Speaker 5: four hundred and eighty one dollars. Augie wins that listing
- 41:33Speaker 5: as well.
- 41:33Speaker 1: The job.
- 41:35Speaker 7: Yeah, it's I'm thinking the rest of the is gonna
- 41:37Speaker 7: be in the thousands.
- 41:37Speaker 4: Guys, you just have a mailbox full of ship you don't.
- 41:40Speaker 6: Want, right, I mean, I mean the Mecca Mecca Gorilla
- 41:46Speaker 6: is kind of cool, not.
- 41:50Speaker 5: Six thousand dollars.
- 41:51Speaker 4: Yeah, for sixty that's the ship that you to be, like,
- 41:56Speaker 4: I go to Home Beef.
- 41:58Speaker 5: Yeah, oh, Mecca Gorilla, and it'd be a one of
- 42:02Speaker 5: a kind item anyway. Our final item forbids is this
- 42:07Speaker 5: dental appliance. The Woodpecker Smart Laser Plus Dental Diode Therapy
- 42:13Speaker 5: device can be used in fields of dental soft tissue
- 42:18Speaker 5: surgery with basically no bleeding during the operation, resulting in
- 42:21Speaker 5: minimal swelling and faster recovery. And this listing can be
- 42:25Speaker 5: yours if the cost is correct.
- 42:27Speaker 1: They're selling dental equipment online.
- 42:29Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like there's just a nigga sitting aroulling. Man,
- 42:31Speaker 4: I've got too many of these in my garage.
- 42:37Speaker 6: Don't you hate it when you have like five of
- 42:39Speaker 6: these things is laying around all those.
- 42:43Speaker 5: Yeah, oggy, what do you been?
- 42:47Speaker 7: Let's see, I think it's close to.
- 42:50Speaker 5: Six grain six thousand dollars. Yeah, okay, says Augie Stevie.
- 42:55Speaker 1: Nine thousand dollars.
- 42:57Speaker 5: Nine thousand dollars, says Stevie. Javo thirty two k oh
- 43:03Speaker 5: thirty two thousand dollars.
- 43:06Speaker 2: The equipment man, state of the art mount equipment, all
- 43:09Speaker 2: that laughing ass.
- 43:10Speaker 5: And all gone over all three for one time. Java
- 43:17Speaker 5: was gonna say thirty two dollars. I mean, you would
- 43:19Speaker 5: have won it. You would have won it.
- 43:22Speaker 4: You known't that.
- 43:23Speaker 5: We have to start over, Aggie, give me a bit
- 43:25Speaker 5: lower than six thousand.
- 43:26Speaker 2: Dollars, thirty two dollars, two dollars, I'll say thirty seven.
- 43:35Speaker 5: Thirty seven dollars.
- 43:37Speaker 1: Stevie, you fucker, this is a dental pick thing. I
- 43:40Speaker 1: don't know. Two hundred and ten dollars.
- 43:42Speaker 5: Two hundred and ten dollars.
- 43:44Speaker 1: Apparently I was off of my giant nine thousand Javo.
- 43:49Speaker 4: Two hundred and eleven dollars.
- 43:54Speaker 5: That is how you played it.
- 43:56Speaker 4: I had, I had to.
- 43:58Speaker 5: The actual final auction for of this laser plus therapy
- 44:02Speaker 5: device is five thousand, four hundred and ninety. Jabo wins
- 44:10Speaker 5: that listing with two hundred dick movie can start performing
- 44:16Speaker 5: surgery and people well with that that we've reached the
- 44:22Speaker 5: end of game two and Jabo has one listing, but
- 44:25Speaker 5: Aggie and Stevie have two listings each, which means they
- 44:28Speaker 5: share the win and each get two episode points.
- 44:32Speaker 1: Works, Yeah, We're gonna to split them two mon notes once.
- 44:37Speaker 5: So the score as it currently stands, Jabo has one point,
- 44:40Speaker 5: Augie has two, and Stevie has two. But there is
- 44:42Speaker 5: one game left. Our third and final game is gonna
- 44:46Speaker 5: it's gonna be worth three episode points and we're gonna
- 44:48Speaker 5: play it right after this.
- 45:00Speaker 12: Hey you there, We've got a question for you. Are
- 45:03Speaker 12: you tired of clickbait stories and the loudest voices driving
- 45:06Speaker 12: discussions and culture and entertainment.
- 45:08Speaker 8: If so, I'm Dylan, I'm Kendall, and I'm Corey, and
- 45:12Speaker 8: we host the podcast from the Middle. We're middle class
- 45:15Speaker 8: guys living in the middle of America, in the middle
- 45:17Speaker 8: chapters of our lives with points of view Somewhere in
- 45:20Speaker 8: the middle.
- 45:21Speaker 13: We take a more reasonable and centrist approach, and our
- 45:24Speaker 13: discussions covering genres like comedy, culture, entertainment, and interviews with
- 45:30Speaker 13: really interesting folks like business owners, comic creators, doctors, news anchors,
- 45:34Speaker 13: New York Times best selling illustrators, professional stand up comics,
- 45:39Speaker 13: and more. We really value a relaxed and conversational podcast
- 45:44Speaker 13: one that we hope is so fun and laid back
- 45:46Speaker 13: you'll forget you're not actually hanging out with us.
- 45:49Speaker 12: So search at from the midpod just like it sounds,
- 45:53Speaker 12: or check us out everywhere you can find podcasts.
- 45:57Speaker 1: Hey, if you're in the Western New York area and
- 45:59Speaker 1: new you are a fan of the Green, head on
- 46:02Speaker 1: over to Peace Love and bud At three twenty self
- 46:05Speaker 1: Transit Road in Lockport, New York. Tell them b fy
- 46:08Speaker 1: tw Sina able to hook you up.
- 46:21Speaker 5: Hey man, welcome back. It's time for game three. Game
- 46:24Speaker 5: three is going to be four out of five dentists.
- 46:27Speaker 5: Oh sweet, So this will be interesting. I've got five
- 46:32Speaker 5: surveys asking questions like what percentage of Americans believe in ghosts?
- 46:36Speaker 5: And one player is going to guess the exact percentage.
- 46:39Speaker 5: And usually when we have two players or two teams,
- 46:42Speaker 5: one player exact percentage, the other person goes high or low,
- 46:46Speaker 5: and if they're wrong, the player who guessed the exact
- 46:48Speaker 5: percentage wins the point. However, because there's three of you,
- 46:52Speaker 5: we're going to do things slightly differently. Okay, one player
- 46:55Speaker 5: is going to guess the exact percentage. The next player
- 46:58Speaker 5: in line will guess higher low. If the player who
- 47:00Speaker 5: guessed the exact percentage is within ten points up or down,
- 47:05Speaker 5: so a twenty point spread, basically, they'll get a point.
- 47:08Speaker 5: The player who guessed high er low will get a
- 47:11Speaker 5: point if they're right. The player who didn't get to
- 47:13Speaker 5: guess will get a point if they're wrong. And if
- 47:16Speaker 5: the player who guesses the exact percentage gets it exactly right,
- 47:19Speaker 5: nobody else gets any points. Awesome.
- 47:21Speaker 1: Hell yeah, dude, that's so cool.
- 47:24Speaker 5: So there's gonna be points flying around. And let's see, Jabo,
- 47:28Speaker 5: you lost last game. So I'm gonna give you the choice.
- 47:30Speaker 5: Do you want to guess the exact percentage first? Would
- 47:32Speaker 5: you rather guess higher low first? Or do you want
- 47:34Speaker 5: to guess neither.
- 47:36Speaker 4: I'll do the exact percentage first.
- 47:38Speaker 5: You'll do the exact percentage first, all right? In that case, Jabo,
- 47:41Speaker 5: here is our first survey. According to no, it just
- 47:45Speaker 5: disappeared on me. That place to this article that decided
- 47:51Speaker 5: to disappear. Facebook's website sucks. According to in April twenty
- 47:55Speaker 5: twenty five, you go poll what percentage of American adults
- 47:59Speaker 5: say that their job makes a meaningful contribution to the world.
- 48:10Speaker 5: What percentage of Americans believe that their job makes a
- 48:13Speaker 5: meaningful contribution to the world.
- 48:15Speaker 4: I'd say thirty.
- 48:17Speaker 5: Two percent.
- 48:18Speaker 1: Good number. Good number.
- 48:21Speaker 5: Uh, you are next in line, so you get to choose.
- 48:24Speaker 5: Is it higher or lower than thirty two percent?
- 48:28Speaker 1: Percent?
- 48:29Speaker 11: Right?
- 48:31Speaker 5: Fucker?
- 48:32Speaker 1: God damn jevel game swinging right out of the gates.
- 48:36Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, the guy that has lost everything except the
- 48:39Speaker 4: first accident.
- 48:44Speaker 6: I'm gonna say, I'm gonna take the risk and say lower,
- 48:49Speaker 6: but not by much by like ok point.
- 48:51Speaker 5: In that case, Stevie, you will score if it's higher
- 48:54Speaker 5: the actual percentage of American adults who say hit their
- 48:57Speaker 5: job makes a meaningful contribution to the world. Brace yourselves. Yeah,
- 49:02Speaker 5: sixty two percent.
- 49:04Speaker 6: Motherfuckers are lying to themselves.
- 49:06Speaker 4: Don't like them, nigga, we don't need you to run
- 49:11Speaker 4: family dollar. I'm not hating, but call me a punkast.
- 49:16Speaker 4: Damn Janet.
- 49:19Speaker 5: So Jabo is thirty points out, does not score. Oggie
- 49:23Speaker 5: is wrong and does not score, but Stevie gets a point.
- 49:26Speaker 1: Cool. I didn't have to do anything.
- 49:28Speaker 5: I didn't do anything like you got a point.
- 49:29Speaker 1: It's basic.
- 49:31Speaker 6: Don't work retail during COVID, but trust me, it did
- 49:35Speaker 6: not feel like I needed to be there, man, I fuck.
- 49:40Speaker 5: I definitely don't feel like my job makes a meaningful
- 49:42Speaker 5: contribution to the world.
- 49:43Speaker 4: I was an air traffic controller for fucking twenty years,
- 49:46Speaker 4: and there's like spans At that time, I was like,
- 49:49Speaker 4: I'm here for no reason.
- 49:56Speaker 5: All right, let's move on to our second pool, and Augie,
- 49:59Speaker 5: this time you'll choose exact percentage. According to a March
- 50:03Speaker 5: twenty twenty five You Go poll, what percentage of American
- 50:06Speaker 5: adults say they are very concerned about AI being used
- 50:10Speaker 5: to produce misleading audio or video deep fakes? Now, let's
- 50:16Speaker 5: be clear, the choices were very concerned, a little concerned,
- 50:20Speaker 5: not concerned, not concerned at all.
- 50:23Speaker 6: Okay, okay, so it's not going to be it's the
- 50:27Speaker 6: number I'm thinking then, it's probably going to be closer
- 50:30Speaker 6: to like fifty three percent.
- 50:33Speaker 5: Fifty three percent, says Augie. Yeah, all right, Stevie, do
- 50:37Speaker 5: you think the actual percentage is higher or lower than fifty.
- 50:41Speaker 7: Three per No, I basically do it at fifty to fifty.
- 50:44Speaker 1: But yeah, I know they're actually concerned about What was
- 50:49Speaker 1: their answer?
- 50:50Speaker 4: You?
- 50:50Speaker 5: Very concerned, very concerned. Fifty three percent is what Aggie
- 50:54Speaker 5: said said we're very concerned.
- 50:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna say higher.
- 50:59Speaker 5: He says higher, All right, then Jaba will score if
- 51:01Speaker 5: it's actually lower. The actual percentage of American adults who
- 51:06Speaker 5: say they are very concerned about AI being used to
- 51:09Speaker 5: produce misleading audio or video deep bakes fifty eight percent.
- 51:15Speaker 5: Augie was really close, but it is higher. So Augie
- 51:18Speaker 5: scores a point and Stevie scores a point sadly nothing
- 51:21Speaker 5: for Joba's damn that's good.
- 51:24Speaker 4: That's a figure to be hired.
- 51:26Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, that was really good considering it was the
- 51:29Speaker 5: you know, the house like it's coastal like sixty eight.
- 51:34Speaker 5: Not quite, but you were damn close. All right. So Stevie,
- 51:36Speaker 5: it's your turn to pick the exact percentage in JABO.
- 51:39Speaker 5: You'll pick higher or lower. In a February twenty twenty five,
- 51:43Speaker 5: you go pull on the popularity of historical periods. This
- 51:48Speaker 5: this just tickled by funny bone. What percentage of Americans
- 51:51Speaker 5: say they dislike the Dark Ages?
- 51:57Speaker 1: Everybody loves it?
- 52:00Speaker 7: Is They're the best, no better time than the Dark Ages.
- 52:06Speaker 1: I do enjoy that stuff though, so like me, I'm like,
- 52:08Speaker 1: I enjoyed.
- 52:09Speaker 7: I'd want if you were a plague doctor, you had
- 52:11Speaker 7: it made.
- 52:12Speaker 1: Yeah, so which percentage of Americans you said?
- 52:16Speaker 5: What percentage of Americans said they dislike the Dark Ages?
- 52:24Speaker 2: Forty two says I think most people like it because
- 52:28Speaker 2: horses and armor and knights and ship alright, chivalry is associated.
- 52:32Speaker 5: With Is the actual percentage higher or lower than forty
- 52:36Speaker 5: two percent?
- 52:38Speaker 4: That's lower? Yeah, that's way lower. I have swords. Yeah,
- 52:46Speaker 4: there's two swords on the floor right now. I'm not
- 52:51Speaker 4: even kidding any point.
- 52:54Speaker 5: That ship like six in my closet. So, uh, Stevie
- 53:01Speaker 5: said fifty and Javo says lower forty two. Sorry, So
- 53:09Speaker 5: the actual percentage I just accidentally said it is fifty
- 53:12Speaker 5: two percent. Stevie is within the ten point spread and
- 53:16Speaker 5: gets a point, But Jaba was wrong, which means Augury
- 53:19Speaker 5: Augy gets the point. Honestly, people, fifty people saying they
- 53:26Speaker 5: disliked the Dark Ages seemed insane. And but just the
- 53:31Speaker 5: fact they ran a survey, which periods do you like?
- 53:34Speaker 5: People say I disliked.
- 53:35Speaker 1: The Dark Age period? I hate that.
- 53:42Speaker 5: All Right, three surveys down, there's still time for Jaba
- 53:44Speaker 5: to catch up. We got two surveys left. According to
- 53:47Speaker 5: a March twenty twenty five you go survey and Jabo,
- 53:50Speaker 5: you'll give the exact percentage of time. What percentage of
- 53:54Speaker 5: American adults say that if they were single and dating,
- 53:58Speaker 5: they would be not at all willing to date someone
- 54:02Speaker 5: who held the opposite views on transgender rights?
- 54:06Speaker 4: Oh? God, wow?
- 54:08Speaker 5: What percentage of Americans say if they were single and
- 54:10Speaker 5: dating they would be not at all willing to date
- 54:14Speaker 5: someone who held the opposite views on transgender rights. Now,
- 54:18Speaker 5: to be clear and fair, the options were not at all,
- 54:22Speaker 5: slightly willing, totally willing. Our answer was what for this one?
- 54:28Speaker 5: It's not at all at all, not at all, not
- 54:31Speaker 5: even willing to entertain the thought.
- 54:32Speaker 7: But there are other options that they had to choose from.
- 54:35Speaker 5: So just keep that in mind with right, Yeah, Jabo,
- 54:38Speaker 5: what do you think twenty seven percent said they were
- 54:45Speaker 5: not at all willing to date someone who held the
- 54:47Speaker 5: opposite views on transgender rights? Augie? Is it higher or
- 54:51Speaker 5: lower than twenty seven percent? I'm thinking it's higher. I
- 54:55Speaker 5: think it's higher, All right, Stevie, you will win if
- 54:57Speaker 5: it's lower. The action percentage of American adults who said
- 55:01Speaker 5: that if they were single and dating, they would be
- 55:03Speaker 5: not at all willing to date someone who held the
- 55:06Speaker 5: opposite views on transgender rights forty four percent. Yeah, damn,
- 55:12Speaker 5: just outside Jebbo's ten point reach. So he doesn't know anything.
- 55:15Speaker 5: But Oggie is correct and scores a point.
- 55:18Speaker 1: Damn.
- 55:20Speaker 5: All right, last chance, and sadly, Jaba, you have no
- 55:22Speaker 5: saying this whatsoever. Ogy's gonna pick the percentage and he's
- 55:25Speaker 5: gonna pick try.
- 55:26Speaker 1: To get you a point somehow.
- 55:30Speaker 6: Figure it out.
- 55:31Speaker 4: I've had one w on the show, and that was
- 55:33Speaker 4: all I was chasing.
- 55:35Speaker 1: Sometimes one more. I've had one plenty of times.
- 55:40Speaker 5: That's okay. C J even finally won an episode longer
- 55:45Speaker 5: than you.
- 55:46Speaker 1: I fucking guy, He's finally on that board. We should
- 55:51Speaker 1: make a board now.
- 55:53Speaker 4: We did it.
- 55:54Speaker 5: Just keep the actual stats of everybody who's been on, but.
- 55:56Speaker 1: Starting now, so you have to win again, like, yeah,
- 56:02Speaker 1: what could be the first one.
- 56:04Speaker 4: The starting out that healthy goose egg.
- 56:08Speaker 2: We actually put zeros next to everybody else's name, right
- 56:15Speaker 2: here behind the it will be a fly somewhere else.
- 56:18Speaker 1: Put the score in.
- 56:18Speaker 4: The people want a quality. Here's your zero right next
- 56:23Speaker 4: to everyone else's.
- 56:27Speaker 8: So fucked up, Oggy.
- 56:30Speaker 5: Our last survey, according to a quarter one twenty twenty
- 56:34Speaker 5: five you survey and you will find this familiar. What
- 56:37Speaker 5: percentage of American millennials admitted they had never heard of
- 56:41Speaker 5: the Gucci brand? What percentage of American millennials said they've
- 56:48Speaker 5: never heard of Gucci?
- 56:50Speaker 1: Which was the millennial?
- 56:51Speaker 4: Is that us?
- 56:53Speaker 5: I think we're techning. You and I are technically xennials.
- 56:55Speaker 5: Oggie might fit in the morning. Okay, yeah, tinety one.
- 56:59Speaker 5: So I'm thinking.
- 57:06Speaker 7: This one is sounding like.
- 57:09Speaker 1: Forty six.
- 57:11Speaker 5: Forty six percent of American millennials said they've never heard
- 57:14Speaker 5: of Gucci. Stevie, do you think it's higher or lower
- 57:18Speaker 5: than forty six?
- 57:19Speaker 1: I'm going to assume it's lower, just based on TikTok Okay.
- 57:23Speaker 5: Well, the exact percentage of American millennials who said they've
- 57:27Speaker 5: never heard of Gucci is eleven percent, which means Stevie
- 57:32Speaker 5: is right and scores a point, which sadly means job
- 57:35Speaker 5: still gets nothing.
- 57:36Speaker 4: Damning that hookup there, Steve, Sorry.
- 57:42Speaker 1: It's going it. Just answered it.
- 57:43Speaker 5: He just immediately went for it, gave it to him. Yeah,
- 57:48Speaker 5: so uh yeah, he said higher. At the end of
- 57:51Speaker 5: that game, Javo has zero points, Oggie has three, and
- 57:56Speaker 5: Stevie has four, which means Stevie wins the game and
- 57:59Speaker 5: gets three.
- 57:59Speaker 4: Episode four nice end.
- 58:01Speaker 5: With the score of one to two to five. Stevie
- 58:05Speaker 5: has won this episode.
- 58:06Speaker 1: I did both points chose day ever in.
- 58:10Speaker 5: This that's false. That's completely false. Five You've you've absolutely
- 58:15Speaker 5: run the gamut and gotten six. Several you've gotten it.
- 58:18Speaker 1: He'sted a few times.
- 58:20Speaker 7: I'm so figures there's I'm pretty sure that happened.
- 58:24Speaker 5: There is a maximum total of points of six on
- 58:26Speaker 5: this show.
- 58:29Speaker 7: I'm pretty sure we did when it was just you
- 58:30Speaker 7: and me.
- 58:32Speaker 5: Oh, I see you guys rule Yeah, Oh yeah, crushed it.
- 58:37Speaker 1: We set records that day, or maybe I'm lying.
- 58:39Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 58:40Speaker 1: Go back and listen to find out. Yeah, it's only
- 58:42Speaker 1: two hundred and seventy something up.
- 58:44Speaker 5: It'll take you no time at all.
- 58:45Speaker 1: Again, you got it, you got it wrong? The clip
- 58:51Speaker 1: clip it.
- 58:53Speaker 5: Jobo, Thanks so much for coming, man, it's always a blast.
- 58:56Speaker 4: Have you anytime. Thanks, my love hanging out with y'all. Yeah, besides,
- 59:01Speaker 4: I supply that loss so easily.
- 59:05Speaker 5: It's not about the points. It's not about winning losing. Yeah,
- 59:08Speaker 5: we're having together. So speaking of fun, can you please
- 59:14Speaker 5: shout out all everything you're working on.
- 59:16Speaker 4: I have nothing going on in my life whatever. I
- 59:21Speaker 4: have nothing going on in my life. No, it's weird
- 59:25Speaker 4: because most everything is art these days. So I guess
- 59:28Speaker 4: I'll probably start showing some more of that ship on
- 59:31Speaker 4: Twitter and like all the stuff that I've been making,
- 59:32Speaker 4: because for everybody in the universe doesn't know, I'm just
- 59:36Speaker 4: kind of like getting back into podcasting and and art
- 59:39Speaker 4: and stuff. I don't know. I still don't fully know
- 59:42Speaker 4: exactly what happened, but I tore like every ligament in
- 59:45Speaker 4: the universe and my left foot. So I this happened
- 59:51Speaker 4: in November, and I'm still swollen as fuck now, not
- 59:54Speaker 4: like hugely horribly swollen. I'm off of crutches, but like
- 59:57Speaker 4: getting an appointment the va at certain times like one
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: of the most difficult things on the fucking planet. Yes,
- 1:00:03Speaker 4: so we're getting through that, like I'm walking and moving.
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: It stopped me somewhat, but during a point in time,
- 1:00:09Speaker 4: like I was upstairs on the I think I lived
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: on the floor for like three months, three and a
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: half months. I couldn't stand. But Wednesdays proper Rumpus is
- 1:00:20Speaker 4: still doing its thing, dropping Ruckus juice, like I said,
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: I go is amazing. I love that dude. I'm doing
- 1:00:27Speaker 4: some changing and shifting to scenem fifteen. It was a
- 1:00:30Speaker 4: Thursday show, I'm moving it to a Friday show, and
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: I'm doing a series right now. I was all touchy
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: and pissy about the whole Amazon being in control of
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: the James Bond ip like I wanted to scream, so
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: I went. And I'm currently doing a series like a
- 1:00:49Speaker 4: replacement of British spy kind of movies that you can
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: check out that aren't James Bond. So I've covered like
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: The Three Kingsmen, Our Guy, you know, surprisingly fuck and
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: the Ministry of Ungentleally Warfare. Fucking love that movie, absolutely fantastic.
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: But yeah, other than that in art, but uh, we're
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: gonna we're gonna keep it to Fridays and Wednesdays right
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: now for the proper Umpus podcast releases. But I'll be
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: working on a lot of art stuff that should pop
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: up on Twitter. So very cool.
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: Fucking hell yeah, I'm excited. I'm excited man for the
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: summer projects.
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: Yeah, like there's there's a lot of things. They're just
- 1:01:27Speaker 4: so I'm just happy to be back to working man really,
- 1:01:30Speaker 4: because like not all my equipment was downstairs and then
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: I didn't want to half assed stuff, and like there's
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: a whole mental thing that you go through of being
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: able to do everything all the time, any tape like
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: to just a small piece of it. Like I couldn't cook,
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: I couldn't prepare food, like Nashan's still leaving to go
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: to work, like I'm still watching a three year old,
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: and then like my one of the kids got the flu,
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: so like literally I can't do anything. So I'm having
- 1:01:54Speaker 4: a door dash food every single day, crawl from the
- 1:01:58Speaker 4: upstairs to the downstairs on my ass, put her food
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: in front of her door, put my food on my lap,
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: and then like back myself up the stairs to get
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: food to be in a three year old. I had
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: to do that for like two weeks. It was like insane.
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: I did that until like Christmas break and all this
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: kind of shit. But no, like just being back to
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: being working man. So I'm absolutely looking forward to this
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: the projects that we got floating.
- 1:02:21Speaker 5: Hell you yeah, well, I'm happy to hear you're on
- 1:02:23Speaker 5: the men for sure.
