- 0:13Speaker 1: Hello you guys, Welcome back to another episode of the
- 0:16Speaker 1: Hawkerel Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kaylie, and this is
- 0:19Speaker 1: your weekly reminder that it's a new day, a new week,
- 0:22Speaker 1: a new mindset, and another day for you to become
- 0:25Speaker 1: the Hawkgirl energy you want to attract. Hello you guys,
- 0:29Speaker 1: Happy Wednesday, Welcome back to another episode. I hope you
- 0:33Speaker 1: guys are having the most amazing week so far. I
- 0:35Speaker 1: cannot believe it's going to be March this week. I
- 0:38Speaker 1: am actually very excited that it's going to be March
- 0:41Speaker 1: this week because I don't know about you guys, but
- 0:43Speaker 1: my mind right.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Now has just been summer, summer, summer.
- 0:47Speaker 1: I just want it to be summer. I want the
- 0:49Speaker 1: snow to be melting, skip spring. I just want it
- 0:52Speaker 1: to be summer. I don't know if anyone else is
- 0:54Speaker 1: feeling that way, but I'm just missing the beautiful sunrise
- 0:58Speaker 1: in the morning and the tan.
- 1:01Speaker 2: You guys get the gist.
- 1:02Speaker 1: I just think everyone is thinking about the summertime and
- 1:05Speaker 1: just wanting the summer weather. I will say that yesterday
- 1:08Speaker 1: was the first day where I started to notice that
- 1:10Speaker 1: the snow is melting, which makes me so happy. I'm
- 1:13Speaker 1: just hoping we don't get any more snow for the
- 1:16Speaker 1: remaining next few months, because I'm over it and I
- 1:19Speaker 1: would rather it be a rainy, wet, no snow situation
- 1:24Speaker 1: versus the snow right now. But I will say we've
- 1:26Speaker 1: had a lot of sunny days here in Ottawa, so
- 1:29Speaker 1: I'm not complaining. I love how much sun my office gets.
- 1:32Speaker 1: I just find it's such a energy booster and almost
- 1:35Speaker 1: just like a boost of adrenaline. Just like being in
- 1:37Speaker 1: my office and feeling the sunshine in my face. It
- 1:40Speaker 1: gets a little annoying because I am sitting in front
- 1:43Speaker 1: of my window. My desk is currently in the front there.
- 1:46Speaker 1: So anyways, we are moving it. It's just a temporary
- 1:48Speaker 1: setup until I get my podcast chairs for the podcast studio.
- 1:53Speaker 1: They're supposed to come in this week, so hopefully there'll
- 1:55Speaker 1: be a little update on that for this podcast studio update.
- 1:59Speaker 1: But we did go to Home Deep with the weekend
- 2:00Speaker 1: and pick out a few paint colors as well as
- 2:03Speaker 1: some stuff to.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Do on a walls.
- 2:05Speaker 1: We're doing Wayne scotting, so I'm excited to have that
- 2:09Speaker 1: whole transformation done. But yeah, we didn't have time to
- 2:13Speaker 1: do it this weekend. Hopefully within March, we'll have that done.
- 2:16Speaker 1: But I'm so excited to have this podcast studio done.
- 2:19Speaker 1: We're a few steps closer to getting it all finalized.
- 2:22Speaker 1: I just want to get the chairs because that's obviously
- 2:24Speaker 1: a big portion of the studio, and then we can
- 2:28Speaker 1: add the rest of the little furniture pieces that I.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Already have to the room. But I'm very excited to
- 2:34Speaker 2: have that all set up.
- 2:35Speaker 1: As you guys can see by the title, we are
- 2:37Speaker 1: doing how to become Unrecognizable. So these are a morning
- 2:42Speaker 1: and night habits that I truly feel has completely changed
- 2:45Speaker 1: my life. And there's a trend going around on TikTok
- 2:48Speaker 1: right now about the unrecognizable makeup, but I'm like, let's
- 2:52Speaker 1: change that into being the unrecognizable routine. So these are
- 2:56Speaker 1: things that you can do every single morning and every
- 2:59Speaker 1: single night to feel your absolute best self. Because I
- 3:01Speaker 1: think we're all on the same page. Twenty twenty five
- 3:04Speaker 1: is the year for us to just thrive. We want
- 3:07Speaker 1: to feel like our best self, we want to look
- 3:08Speaker 1: like our best self, and so doing these things are
- 3:11Speaker 1: what's going to be able to achieve those things for ourselves.
- 3:14Speaker 1: So I figured we could do little reminders of things
- 3:17Speaker 1: that you could do in the morning and night to
- 3:19Speaker 1: just really attain that goal of becoming the best version
- 3:23Speaker 1: of yourself for twenty twenty five. Before we get into
- 3:25Speaker 1: this episode, though, I want to talk about something that
- 3:28Speaker 1: I came across on Instagram. It was someone that made
- 3:31Speaker 1: an Instagram post and she talked about glimmers, and I'm like, glimmers.
- 3:36Speaker 1: That's an interesting word. I've never heard of glimmers, and
- 3:39Speaker 1: so glimmers are tiny positive moments that bring you joy, calm,
- 3:43Speaker 1: or a sense of safety. They help the nervous system
- 3:46Speaker 1: relax and remind us of the small good things in life.
- 3:50Speaker 1: I loved this because right now, in particular, with it
- 3:53Speaker 1: being the winter season, I feel like a lot of
- 3:55Speaker 1: us can agree that we're feeling the winter uglies. We're feeling,
- 3:58Speaker 1: you know, a little bit low. Obviously, when it's the
- 4:01Speaker 1: summer season, I feel like I'm always on a high
- 4:03Speaker 1: right like the sun is shining, the weather's beautiful. I
- 4:06Speaker 1: constantly want to be outside, I'm constantly wanting to do things.
- 4:09Speaker 1: I just feel like there's two different Kaylei's like summer
- 4:12Speaker 1: Kayley and winter Kayley.
- 4:13Speaker 2: And that's okay.
- 4:14Speaker 1: And I feel like I've really been able to find
- 4:16Speaker 1: ways to adapt to the winter season for just being
- 4:19Speaker 1: more productive still and still.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Feeling like my best self.
- 4:23Speaker 1: But these glimmers and just these little positive moments that
- 4:25Speaker 1: bring you joy, I really just felt like that really
- 4:28Speaker 1: shifted my mindset when it came to just being low
- 4:31Speaker 1: in the winter season. I kind of find writing these
- 4:34Speaker 1: glimmers out from this week in particular, So just these
- 4:37Speaker 1: positive moments that came out of this week just made
- 4:40Speaker 1: me realize how grateful I am to have these little
- 4:44Speaker 1: moments from this week, and that the full winter season
- 4:46Speaker 1: isn't fully shit.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Like these little things just kind of make you.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Realize how grateful that you are. And again some examples
- 4:53Speaker 1: for what glimmers could be. It could be feeling the
- 4:56Speaker 1: warmth of the sun on your skin, which, as I said,
- 4:59Speaker 1: I've been loving that in my office. I've been loving
- 5:01Speaker 1: having the sunshine on my face is just something that
- 5:03Speaker 1: makes me feel so good. Smelling fresh flowers, hearing your
- 5:07Speaker 1: favorite song unexpectedly, so maybe there's a really good throwback
- 5:10Speaker 1: on the radio and you were like, oh my god,
- 5:12Speaker 1: I forgot about this song, and it just makes you
- 5:14Speaker 1: feel really good listening to it. Those little moments just
- 5:17Speaker 1: bring so much joy and so much sense of calmness,
- 5:21Speaker 1: and it just made me want to write out this
- 5:23Speaker 1: week's glimmers for myself. And maybe this is something that
- 5:25Speaker 1: you could do for yourself. So instead of writing out
- 5:27Speaker 1: maybe goals for the week, instead you can write kind
- 5:30Speaker 1: of like little highlights of your week that made you
- 5:32Speaker 1: feel good. So, for an example, this week was listening
- 5:35Speaker 1: to a new song. I'm a huge Tate mccraeg girl. Okay,
- 5:40Speaker 1: she just released her new album. I'm obsessed with her.
- 5:42Speaker 1: She's like twenty one, but like she is a goddess,
- 5:45Speaker 1: Like she is giving Britney Spears. If you guys are
- 5:49Speaker 1: around my age, you guys know that Britney Spears was iconic,
- 5:53Speaker 1: like iconic back then. And I don't know, just Tate
- 5:57Speaker 1: mccray's giving me that energy and I'm freaking loving it,
- 6:00Speaker 1: just giving hawkgirl badass vibes. And she just released her
- 6:04Speaker 1: new album and I'm currently obsessed with I think it's
- 6:07Speaker 1: called the Revolving Door.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Yes, Revolving Door. That is the new song that she
- 6:11Speaker 2: just came out with.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Well, she came out with the whole album, but that
- 6:13Speaker 1: song in particular, I cannot stop playing it is so good,
- 6:17Speaker 1: I'm obsessed with it. But anyways, I've been listening to
- 6:20Speaker 1: that song before and after my workout class, and it's
- 6:22Speaker 1: just something that has been bringing me a lot of
- 6:24Speaker 1: joy is to listen to her new album while I'm
- 6:27Speaker 1: driving to and from my workout class. Another thing that
- 6:30Speaker 1: was a glimmer this week is getting a new workout set.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Can we talk about how good it feels to get
- 6:36Speaker 1: a new workout set. I just feel like it always
- 6:38Speaker 1: boosts my confidence. I feel like it boosts my motivation
- 6:41Speaker 1: because obviously I want to get out of the house
- 6:43Speaker 1: and wear my workout set and I don't know, I
- 6:46Speaker 1: just feel like that's something that makes me feel really
- 6:49Speaker 1: put together, is when I have a new workout set on.
- 6:51Speaker 1: And I talked about this in my Winter Ugies episode,
- 6:54Speaker 1: But just like those little things like getting your nails done,
- 6:57Speaker 1: putting on jewelry, putting on some self tanner, like those
- 6:59Speaker 1: little things truly make me feel so much more put
- 7:02Speaker 1: together when I put that effort in.
- 7:04Speaker 2: So it's been my goal to do that weekly.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Is just really always show up for yourself, do those
- 7:09Speaker 1: little things. I feel like that definitely always helps me
- 7:11Speaker 1: get out of that winter ugly phase. And yeah, so
- 7:14Speaker 1: putting on a new workout set this week really just
- 7:17Speaker 1: boosted my confidence. And I absolutely love getting new workoutsets.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Another thing was is the sunshine coming out today. The
- 7:24Speaker 1: sun has been out actually all week, and I've been
- 7:27Speaker 1: very grateful for that. I will take a sunny snow
- 7:30Speaker 1: day over a gloomy, rainy day any other day. Like,
- 7:33Speaker 1: I would rather have a sunny snow day every single
- 7:35Speaker 1: day until summer. Well, maybe a sunny spring day would
- 7:40Speaker 1: obviously be ideal, but I'm not complaining, Like I just
- 7:43Speaker 1: hate the snow.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Obviously, I hate the cold, but I do love having
- 7:47Speaker 2: the sun out and seeing the sun in my home.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Like the lighting in my house just brings me so
- 7:51Speaker 2: much joy.
- 7:52Speaker 1: And yeah, it just allows you to just really shift
- 7:55Speaker 1: your mindset when the sun does come out. Allows me
- 7:57Speaker 1: to like look at the positives of the day, just
- 8:00Speaker 1: like thinking of all the negatives for winter. So when
- 8:03Speaker 1: the sun comes out it feels really good too. Yeah,
- 8:07Speaker 1: just have that going into the day. Another thing is
- 8:10Speaker 1: the smell of an espresso shot when that morning brew
- 8:13Speaker 1: is brewing. Oh my god, it is pure bliss. My
- 8:17Speaker 1: morning coffee is something that I look forward to every
- 8:19Speaker 1: single day. I don't know if anyone else has that
- 8:21Speaker 1: love to making their latte in the morning, but I
- 8:24Speaker 1: take like ten minutes, just that ten minutes to myself
- 8:27Speaker 1: of brewing the perfect espresso shot and just putting all
- 8:30Speaker 1: my favorite things, like my honey, a little bit of
- 8:32Speaker 1: brown sugar and cinnamon, adding my milk, adding the ice,
- 8:36Speaker 1: that first sip that always hits like that is one
- 8:41Speaker 1: of my favorite things that I always look forward to
- 8:43Speaker 1: every single day.
- 8:44Speaker 2: But it's also just.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Something that I thought is a highlight for this past week.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Another glimmer is finding a new TV show. I feel
- 8:51Speaker 1: like that is something that is so fun and it
- 8:55Speaker 1: gets so hooked when I find a new show. So
- 8:57Speaker 1: right now we're watching White Lotus and Paradise White Loads.
- 9:00Speaker 1: This is something that we completely binge watched in a
- 9:02Speaker 1: weekend and we watched the two seasons, and then they
- 9:06Speaker 1: just released the new season last weekend, so we just
- 9:09Speaker 1: finished episode two.
- 9:10Speaker 2: It's really good.
- 9:11Speaker 1: But what I've noticed about Weight Lotus is that it's
- 9:13Speaker 1: very slow in the beginning, and then it just gets
- 9:15Speaker 1: really really intense as the episodes go on, Like the
- 9:19Speaker 1: first episode was really slow of season three, and now
- 9:22Speaker 1: I already find the second episode is a bit more intense,
- 9:24Speaker 1: so I'm excited to see how episode three comes out
- 9:28Speaker 1: to play. And then Paradise is another amazing show that
- 9:32Speaker 1: is also about kind of a murder mystery in a way, but.
- 9:35Speaker 2: It's I don't want to give it away, but it's
- 9:37Speaker 2: it's so good, guys.
- 9:38Speaker 1: It's on Hulu or Disney Plus and amazing actors in it,
- 9:43Speaker 1: and it's just a very addictive show. So when you
- 9:46Speaker 1: find a new show and it's that addicting, that feeling
- 9:48Speaker 1: is the best feeling. And then the last thing is
- 9:51Speaker 1: spending quality time with my husband. We had a very
- 9:53Speaker 1: chill weekend this weekend, just running errands together, but like
- 9:56Speaker 1: those little moments of doing those things together, I really
- 9:59Speaker 1: cheer it. And I've been really enjoying slow mornings on
- 10:03Speaker 1: the weekend versus like the hustle and bustle that I
- 10:05Speaker 1: usually do throughout the week. So lately I've been doing
- 10:08Speaker 1: workout classes from Monday to Friday, and some workout classes
- 10:12Speaker 1: on a Sunday, and I completely have no workouts on
- 10:15Speaker 1: a Saturday, and I just have a super slow Saturday
- 10:17Speaker 1: with Zach and it's been really enjoyable, just like getting stuffed,
- 10:21Speaker 1: done around the house, running errands all that. So being
- 10:23Speaker 1: able to spend quality time with him I really do
- 10:26Speaker 1: cherish because he does work a lot, and he works
- 10:29Speaker 1: like twelve to thirteen hours a day, so he's obviously
- 10:32Speaker 1: very tired when he comes home during the week, so
- 10:35Speaker 1: I obviously like let him do his own time and
- 10:37Speaker 1: like really just chill. So being able to chill together
- 10:40Speaker 1: on the weekend is just something that I've been really
- 10:42Speaker 1: looking forward to and just enjoying the quality time with him.
- 10:45Speaker 1: So I just wanted to share that because that's something
- 10:47Speaker 1: that I recently came across, and I feel like even
- 10:49Speaker 1: just writing these things down really just puts your mindset
- 10:52Speaker 1: in a different perspective of just really enjoying the positives
- 10:55Speaker 1: of each week. And just you know, if you are
- 10:58Speaker 1: feeling low and you're feeling like the inter season has
- 11:00Speaker 1: just brought you down, write some things that brought you
- 11:03Speaker 1: joy this week, and it will just make you realize
- 11:06Speaker 1: like how grateful you actually are and how these positive
- 11:08Speaker 1: moments really do make a huge impact in your day
- 11:11Speaker 1: to day life or just your week. So yeah, write
- 11:14Speaker 1: down your weekly glimmers, because I do think it really
- 11:17Speaker 1: just helped me see the highlights of last week, and yeah,
- 11:21Speaker 1: I really loved this idea. All right, let's start talking
- 11:24Speaker 1: about your morning and night routine. That's going to make
- 11:26Speaker 1: you unrecognizable. So the whole point of having a routine
- 11:31Speaker 1: is to create time for yourself. We are creating time
- 11:34Speaker 1: in our morning and time at our night to ourselves
- 11:37Speaker 1: to get these things done for ourselves. At the end
- 11:39Speaker 1: of the day, you want to be able to take
- 11:41Speaker 1: control of your life.
- 11:43Speaker 2: So this is why I.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Think creating a routine for yourself is so important, because
- 11:48Speaker 1: if you're not putting this time to yourself and taking
- 11:51Speaker 1: this time for yourself to do these little things that
- 11:53Speaker 1: make you feel good, you're not gonna have good days
- 11:56Speaker 1: throughout the day. Like you're gonna go to work and
- 11:58Speaker 1: you're gonna dread it. You're not gonna want to get done.
- 12:00Speaker 1: You're going to be thinking about everything that you have
- 12:02Speaker 1: to do as soon as you get home, or oh,
- 12:04Speaker 1: you're going to be hard on yourself because you're like, oh,
- 12:06Speaker 1: I didn't get a workout done today, or you know,
- 12:09Speaker 1: I didn't plan out my day, so I feel super unorganized.
- 12:12Speaker 1: I feel you know, not productive at all. All that
- 12:15Speaker 1: when you actually adapt these things to your morning and
- 12:18Speaker 1: to your night routine. You're not going to feel that
- 12:20Speaker 1: at all. You're going to feel like you have your
- 12:23Speaker 1: shit and gear. You're going to feel like you're on
- 12:24Speaker 1: top of the world. You're just going to feel like
- 12:27Speaker 1: a boss. So I'm going to share with you guys
- 12:29Speaker 1: the morning habits that I personally find has changed my life,
- 12:32Speaker 1: as well as the night habits and their spy for
- 12:34Speaker 1: each and I feel like these are things that everyone
- 12:37Speaker 1: can adapt to, or at least find one or two
- 12:41Speaker 1: of these things that you can adapt into your current
- 12:43Speaker 1: routine that will truly make a huge difference in your mindset,
- 12:47Speaker 1: how you're feeling mentally, how you're looking physically, and I
- 12:50Speaker 1: just feel like it's going to level you up completely
- 12:52Speaker 1: for this year number one. And I talk about this
- 12:55Speaker 1: all the time, but waking up early, I'm telling you
- 12:57Speaker 1: right now, this right here has changed my life completely.
- 13:00Speaker 1: And you guys know that as a full time content creator,
- 13:04Speaker 1: I have the luxury of being able to wake up
- 13:06Speaker 1: at any time I want. I could wake up at
- 13:08Speaker 1: ten am if I wanted to, to be honest, which
- 13:10Speaker 1: don't get me wrong, that's great. I love that for
- 13:13Speaker 1: certain people who want to do that for themselves. But
- 13:16Speaker 1: in my opinion, as a content creator, we do still
- 13:19Speaker 1: have a job to do and we do still have
- 13:21Speaker 1: a lot of things to do. You are managing multiple
- 13:24Speaker 1: platforms on top of that, I'm also managing a podcast,
- 13:27Speaker 1: I'm trying to start my business. Like there is a
- 13:30Speaker 1: lot of things that you do that a lot of
- 13:32Speaker 1: people don't think about. So for me, I want to
- 13:35Speaker 1: set a time from nine am to six pm to
- 13:38Speaker 1: strictly just get my work done. I don't want to
- 13:40Speaker 1: have to work out, I don't want to have to
- 13:41Speaker 1: do any of my habits. I want to be able
- 13:43Speaker 1: to do everything in the morning that I want to
- 13:46Speaker 1: get done. This exact reason is being able to choose
- 13:49Speaker 1: yourself in the morning is the most important thing I find.
- 13:53Speaker 1: I'm able to just spend my mornings focusing on myself,
- 13:56Speaker 1: not having to think about work. I'm strictly just doing
- 13:59Speaker 1: these things or myself, and then throughout my day I
- 14:02Speaker 1: can strictly just focus on what I have to get
- 14:04Speaker 1: done for the day. So if you're the kind of
- 14:06Speaker 1: person that doesn't like to wake up early, maybe you
- 14:09Speaker 1: should start changing your mindset and start figuring out something
- 14:13Speaker 1: for yourself that will work for you, because I do
- 14:16Speaker 1: think waking up early everyone can do. Everyone can change
- 14:19Speaker 1: that mindset that they can do it. It's all about
- 14:22Speaker 1: setting up success for your night routine, which we'll talk
- 14:25Speaker 1: about in a second on how you can actually wake
- 14:28Speaker 1: up early in the morning. So a lot of successful
- 14:31Speaker 1: people are early risers. And this is not why I
- 14:34Speaker 1: started waking up early. I just truly just enjoy waking
- 14:37Speaker 1: up early. But there is scientific facts that people who
- 14:41Speaker 1: are successful are people who are waking up early, putting
- 14:44Speaker 1: themselves first, and then you know, putting their work as
- 14:47Speaker 1: their main priority throughout the day.
- 14:48Speaker 2: So definitely something to consider.
- 14:50Speaker 1: If you're the kind of person that loves to just
- 14:53Speaker 1: get everything done in the morning and not having to
- 14:55Speaker 1: worry about anything throughout.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Your day, that's my kind of person because that's who
- 15:00Speaker 2: I am. I would rather have everything done in the
- 15:02Speaker 2: morning and not having to worry about anything throughout my day.
- 15:04Speaker 2: The next thing that I think is crucial when it
- 15:06Speaker 2: comes to the mornings is moving your body. So pick
- 15:10Speaker 2: one movement that you would do every single day, whether
- 15:13Speaker 2: it's walking or a workout class. I always always.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Always encourage you guys to do workout classes, but I
- 15:19Speaker 1: know workout classes are not for everyone. So whether it's
- 15:22Speaker 1: getting a gym membership or just finding a workout that
- 15:25Speaker 1: you truly enjoy, that's what's going to get you out
- 15:28Speaker 1: of bed every single morning. I talked about this in
- 15:30Speaker 1: an episode a few weeks ago, just about a tip
- 15:33Speaker 1: that you could take into waking up early is finding
- 15:36Speaker 1: a workout that you actually enjoy, and it does work.
- 15:39Speaker 1: In my opinion, I love going to Pilate's every single morning.
- 15:42Speaker 1: I find that's been really fulfilling me and I just
- 15:45Speaker 1: feel like it motivates.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Me to get out of bed.
- 15:48Speaker 1: But the other day, I think it was like two
- 15:51Speaker 1: weeks ago, I was just like really thinking about what
- 15:54Speaker 1: I missed.
- 15:55Speaker 2: From the summer.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Like I was like, I feel like I was thriving
- 15:58Speaker 1: this past summer, not just be because I was getting married.
- 16:01Speaker 2: I feel like obviously that played a huge impact, but
- 16:03Speaker 2: I just felt like my workout routine was super good.
- 16:06Speaker 2: My morning routine in general was just amazing. So I'm like,
- 16:08Speaker 2: what was I doing different in the summer verse now?
- 16:10Speaker 2: Like I'm always just trying to find ways to improve myself.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I don't know if anyone else is like that, but
- 16:14Speaker 1: I always just like, look into my weeks or my months,
- 16:17Speaker 1: and I'm like, Okay, how can I improve for next month?
- 16:20Speaker 1: Like what can I do differently? Is there something that
- 16:21Speaker 1: I could do better in my routine? Is this something
- 16:23Speaker 1: that I could be eating better. I'm just always trying
- 16:26Speaker 1: to find ways to improve myself. So one thing for
- 16:28Speaker 1: me that I noticed was a huge difference that I
- 16:30Speaker 1: was doing every single morning in the summer versus now
- 16:34Speaker 1: was walking.
- 16:35Speaker 2: I was walking every single day after my workout class
- 16:39Speaker 2: for an hour. I would walk an hour every single morning.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Have I been doing that? Absolutely not. It has been
- 16:45Speaker 1: a fur easing cold outside. I do not want to
- 16:48Speaker 1: go outside. When I do walk, Freddy, it's not an
- 16:51Speaker 1: hour walk. It's maybe a fifteen to twenty minute walk,
- 16:54Speaker 1: not even like it depends on how cold it is outside,
- 16:57Speaker 1: to be honest.
- 16:57Speaker 2: So that's when I decided to ask for.
- 17:00Speaker 1: A foldable treadmill, which you guys know, Zach got me
- 17:02Speaker 1: for Valentine's Day and I'm.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Obsessed with it.
- 17:05Speaker 1: I've been using it every single day and guys, this
- 17:08Speaker 1: already has made me feel ten times better going throughout
- 17:10Speaker 1: my day because I can actually get ten thousand.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Steps by using this treadmill. Every single morning, and I'm going.
- 17:16Speaker 1: To talk about something in the next habit which is
- 17:19Speaker 1: habit stacking, because not only am I getting ten thousand
- 17:23Speaker 1: steps per day, but I'm able to do two things
- 17:27Speaker 1: at once, which brings me into habit stacking. What habit
- 17:31Speaker 1: stacking is is that you're able to do two things
- 17:34Speaker 1: at the same time. So with having my walking treadmill,
- 17:37Speaker 1: I'm able to get ten thousand steps in while getting
- 17:40Speaker 1: work done at the same time. Or another example is
- 17:43Speaker 1: you're reading a book while doing your ten minute read
- 17:46Speaker 1: therapy mask, or you're writing in your planner while you're
- 17:50Speaker 1: eating your breakfast. So habit stacking is the game changer
- 17:54Speaker 1: when it comes to your morning because people are always like, oh,
- 17:57Speaker 1: I don't have the time.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Okay, Well do you.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Eat breakfast in the morning, yes, okay, So you could
- 18:01Speaker 1: be doing something while you're eating breakfasts, like journaling or planning,
- 18:05Speaker 1: so there's no excuses. You can do these little things
- 18:09Speaker 1: at the same time. If you're the kind of person
- 18:11Speaker 1: that likes to meditate, okay, put on a meditation while
- 18:13Speaker 1: you're driving to work, or put on a meditation while
- 18:16Speaker 1: you're driving to your workout class. If you want to
- 18:18Speaker 1: listen to an educational podcast, put on the podcast while
- 18:21Speaker 1: you're driving, Like there is ways to do things at
- 18:25Speaker 1: the same time, and habit stacking is something that has
- 18:28Speaker 1: really changed my life to be able to do certain
- 18:30Speaker 1: things at the same time, because there's some things that
- 18:33Speaker 1: I feel like, oh, I don't have time for that,
- 18:35Speaker 1: But I.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Try and not make up those excuses because I'm like, well, no,
- 18:38Speaker 2: I do because I could do these two things at
- 18:41Speaker 2: the same time. So the treadmill has been a huge
- 18:43Speaker 2: game changer for me because I'm able to get my
- 18:45Speaker 2: steps in. But I know not everyone has the luxury
- 18:48Speaker 2: of purchasing a treadmill. So if you want a cheaperle alternative,
- 18:51Speaker 2: I would suggest like looking at a gym membership. There's
- 18:53Speaker 2: a lot of affordable gym memberships out there now that
- 18:56Speaker 2: you could get that you can have access to a treadmill.
- 18:59Speaker 2: But also, if you live in a warm climate like Florida,
- 19:01Speaker 2: there is no excuse. If I lived in Florida, I'd
- 19:04Speaker 2: be walking every single.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Morning at the sunrise because that would be the best
- 19:08Speaker 1: thing ever. So no excuse if you live in a
- 19:11Speaker 1: warm climate. But walking is the game changer, finding movement
- 19:16Speaker 1: that you could do every single day is key in
- 19:18Speaker 1: the morning, so make sure to be doing those things.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Another thing is, and you guys know this is crucial,
- 19:25Speaker 1: is planning out your day. Because I talked about this
- 19:27Speaker 1: in the last episode how much my planner has just
- 19:30Speaker 1: made me feel ten times more productive, ten times more organized.
- 19:33Speaker 1: I just feel more motivated to get those things done.
- 19:35Speaker 1: It allows me to set clear goals.
- 19:37Speaker 2: For the day. So if you don't have a planner,
- 19:40Speaker 2: I highly suggest getting one because.
- 19:42Speaker 1: I do find having those little goals that you have
- 19:45Speaker 1: in your planner and checking those things off that you
- 19:48Speaker 1: actually finished throout the day is gonna make yourself more
- 19:51Speaker 1: motivated to get more shit done. So if you're the
- 19:53Speaker 1: kind of person that feels like you've been super unmotivated,
- 19:55Speaker 1: or you just feel like you just feel really unorganized
- 20:00Speaker 1: and you just want to be on top of your shit,
- 20:02Speaker 1: I suggest investing in a planner and using it every
- 20:05Speaker 1: single day because it will make you feel ten.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Times more organized and ten times more productive.
- 20:09Speaker 1: The last tip when it comes to morning habits that
- 20:12Speaker 1: I feel like has been a game changer for me
- 20:14Speaker 1: is putting your phone on do not disturb. This is
- 20:17Speaker 1: something that I do every single night before I go
- 20:20Speaker 1: to bed because I wake up to a lot of
- 20:23Speaker 1: a notifications from Instagram, TikTok.
- 20:25Speaker 2: You name it. I have all my notifications on. I
- 20:27Speaker 2: don't know why.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Don't ask why I have all my notifications on. But
- 20:31Speaker 1: I put my phone on do not disturb every single night. Okay,
- 20:34Speaker 1: I wake up no notifications on my phone. It doesn't
- 20:37Speaker 1: give me stress, it doesn't give me anxiety. I don't
- 20:39Speaker 1: feel overstimulated. So what I do is that I take
- 20:42Speaker 1: my phone. I wake up, I do my morning habits.
- 20:45Speaker 1: I make my bed, I brush my teeth, I do
- 20:47Speaker 1: my skincare, I go to my workout class. I come home,
- 20:50Speaker 1: I eat my breakfast, I write in my planner, I
- 20:53Speaker 1: take a shower, I get change, I get ready for
- 20:55Speaker 1: the day. Oh, and then I turn my phone off
- 20:56Speaker 1: do not disturb. I was just able to get all
- 20:59Speaker 1: my habits done because I decided to choose myself.
- 21:03Speaker 2: And not choose my phone.
- 21:05Speaker 1: So if you're the kind of person that gets easily distracted,
- 21:08Speaker 1: I have adhd Okay, I get it. I am very
- 21:11Speaker 1: very much that kind of person where I get thrown
- 21:14Speaker 1: into conversations and I, you know, will talk about something
- 21:17Speaker 1: completely different like.
- 21:18Speaker 2: That is me. I am Adhd Queen. But the game
- 21:22Speaker 2: changer is.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Really putting your phone on Do not Disturb because it
- 21:25Speaker 1: allows you to fully just focus on everything that you
- 21:29Speaker 1: want to get done for the morning. And one thing
- 21:31Speaker 1: about me that I actually don't think I've ever told
- 21:33Speaker 1: you guys, is that I don't go on the TikTok
- 21:35Speaker 1: app till noon.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Like I don't open the TikTok app until noon.
- 21:39Speaker 1: I do not go on the app at all because
- 21:41Speaker 1: what will happen is that I will scroll non stop
- 21:45Speaker 1: and then I will get trapped in the doom scrolling
- 21:48Speaker 1: and I'll check in every hour and I won't stop because,
- 21:51Speaker 1: let's be honest, TikTok is addicting.
- 21:53Speaker 2: We all love watching videos.
- 21:54Speaker 1: The short clip videos are entertaining, it's funny, it's it's
- 21:58Speaker 1: just something that you get addicted to or hooked in.
- 22:00Speaker 1: So I have made it almost like a little rule
- 22:03Speaker 1: to myself to not go on the app until noon.
- 22:06Speaker 1: So that's something that I've done for myself, is put
- 22:09Speaker 1: these little rules into place, because I know when I
- 22:11Speaker 1: set these boundaries and I set these rules for myself,
- 22:14Speaker 1: it allows me to get the things done for myself.
- 22:17Speaker 1: I'm creating time for myself to focus on things that
- 22:20Speaker 1: make me feel good. And I'm putting myself first, as
- 22:23Speaker 1: I said, and I'm getting all the habits done that
- 22:25Speaker 1: I want to get done before I start my day.
- 22:27Speaker 1: So that's important. So if you're that kind of person
- 22:30Speaker 1: that gets easily distracted, I highly recommend putting your phone
- 22:33Speaker 1: on do not Disturbed, because it really allows you to
- 22:35Speaker 1: focus on yourself as well as focus on the things
- 22:37Speaker 1: that you want to get done before you.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Start your day. So that right there is five habits
- 22:41Speaker 2: for your morning routine. If you start doing these things
- 22:44Speaker 2: every single morning, I'm going to tell you right now,
- 22:45Speaker 2: you are going to notice a huge difference in your motivation,
- 22:50Speaker 2: your energy levels, your productivity levels. Do this for a
- 22:53Speaker 2: month and report back to me, because I'm telling you
- 22:56Speaker 2: right now these five things will truly make a huge
- 22:59Speaker 2: day difference in your overall mental health, physical health. You'll
- 23:04Speaker 2: just feel ten times better by actually adapting these things
- 23:06Speaker 2: into your routine. Now, let's talk about five night habits
- 23:09Speaker 2: that you can do.
- 23:10Speaker 1: One being setting a realistic time to start going to
- 23:13Speaker 1: bed at because let's face it, if you want to
- 23:15Speaker 1: be an early morning girl, you need to be going
- 23:18Speaker 1: to bed by a specific time. So personally, for us,
- 23:21Speaker 1: Zach and I are both very early risers. Zach wakes
- 23:24Speaker 1: up at four thirty every single morning. I've been waking
- 23:26Speaker 1: up between like six or six thirty. This morning, I
- 23:29Speaker 1: actually woke up at five thirty, and it was not
- 23:32Speaker 1: that difficult, to be honest, and I think it wasn't
- 23:34Speaker 1: difficult because I consistently wake up at six and six
- 23:37Speaker 1: thirty every single morning, that waking up that thirty minutes
- 23:41Speaker 1: earlier didn't really make a huge difference in my opinion.
- 23:43Speaker 1: But being able to put a specific time on when
- 23:46Speaker 1: you go to bed will allow you to have a
- 23:49Speaker 1: consistent routine and allow you to wake up at an
- 23:52Speaker 1: earlier time. So for us, we're in bed watching Netflix
- 23:56Speaker 1: by eight pm, but usually we're not falling asleep and
- 24:00Speaker 1: till nine thirty. Going to bed at like nine thirty
- 24:02Speaker 1: ten o'clock has been a huge game changer because I
- 24:05Speaker 1: do find it's made it a lot easier to wake up.
- 24:08Speaker 2: Earlier in the morning. So set a bedtime for yourself.
- 24:12Speaker 1: I know people have a hard time falling asleep, especially
- 24:14Speaker 1: for people who you know usually go to bed at
- 24:16Speaker 1: eleven o'clock or twelve o'clock. And then now they're going
- 24:19Speaker 1: to bed at like ten o'clock or nine thirty. Like,
- 24:21Speaker 1: I get it. It's hard, but it's something that you
- 24:24Speaker 1: just have to train your body to do over time.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Finding ways to do it is just really trying to
- 24:30Speaker 1: calm your body down by doing like a very calming
- 24:32Speaker 1: night routine. So yeah, just finding ways to relax your body,
- 24:36Speaker 1: I think is key. But this is something that's been
- 24:38Speaker 1: a structured routine for Zach and.
- 24:40Speaker 2: I for the past year, to be honest.
- 24:43Speaker 1: And I find it's a huge game changer just going
- 24:46Speaker 1: to bed early because it allows you to wake up early.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Another thing that we make a non negotiable in our
- 24:50Speaker 1: house when it comes to our night routine is a
- 24:52Speaker 1: closing shift. And what I mean by that is you're
- 24:55Speaker 1: basically closing down your house before you go to bed.
- 24:58Speaker 1: So everything we made from dinner, we clean up everything,
- 25:01Speaker 1: We start the dishwasher, We make sure everything is clean, counters, floors,
- 25:06Speaker 1: the couch is organized, there's no clutter on the table,
- 25:09Speaker 1: because the last thing I want is to wake up
- 25:11Speaker 1: in the morning and see clutter everywhere. That immediately would
- 25:15Speaker 1: give me anxiety and I would immediately want to clean
- 25:17Speaker 1: the entire house as soon as I wake up, which
- 25:19Speaker 1: we don't have time to do because oh, I have
- 25:21Speaker 1: a workout class booked for either seven am or seven thirty,
- 25:25Speaker 1: so I don't have the time to just all of
- 25:27Speaker 1: a sudden clean the entire house that I left from
- 25:29Speaker 1: the night before. So in order to make yourself feel
- 25:32Speaker 1: like everything is set up for success in the morning
- 25:36Speaker 1: is making sure that everything in your home is clean
- 25:39Speaker 1: before you go upstairs. So that is something that my
- 25:42Speaker 1: husband also kind of loves and hates. He loves having
- 25:45Speaker 1: everything clean in the morning, but he hates doing it
- 25:47Speaker 1: at night. But he knows that when we do it
- 25:50Speaker 1: at night that it feels so good to wake up to.
- 25:52Speaker 1: He's now fully adapted to this routine obviously, But I
- 25:55Speaker 1: just remember in the beginning when we first moved in,
- 25:57Speaker 1: to be honest.
- 25:58Speaker 2: He was like, Oh, I really don't want to do
- 26:00Speaker 2: the dishwasher.
- 26:00Speaker 1: I'm like, Babe, we have to do it because if
- 26:03Speaker 1: you wake up tomorrow morning, you're gonna see the mess
- 26:05Speaker 1: and you're gonna be like, oh, okay.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Well, I mean maybe guys just don't care.
- 26:08Speaker 1: I don't know, but I'm like, babe, we got to
- 26:10Speaker 1: get into this routine of doing these like nightly things because.
- 26:13Speaker 2: It really makes a huge difference on your day the
- 26:16Speaker 2: next day.
- 26:17Speaker 1: So he's now fully adapted to it and he agrees,
- 26:19Speaker 1: like we do everything together. We cook together, we clean together,
- 26:23Speaker 1: every single night. And that's something that I very much
- 26:27Speaker 1: am grateful for because I know a lot of people
- 26:29Speaker 1: don't have maybe a partner that's home at night, or
- 26:32Speaker 1: maybe a partner that doesn't get involved. And I actually
- 26:36Speaker 1: had someone send me a message saying that, like they
- 26:38Speaker 1: their partner thinks that it's a female job, which I
- 26:42Speaker 1: think that's wrong, Like I don't think being a homeowner,
- 26:46Speaker 1: and like doing those little things is a female job,
- 26:48Speaker 1: Like it is something that you guys do together. It
- 26:50Speaker 1: is your home together. These are your things that you're
- 26:53Speaker 1: doing together. He has a job that he's very passionate about.
- 26:57Speaker 1: I have a job that I'm very passionate about. We're
- 26:59Speaker 1: both very busy and visuals, but we always make sure
- 27:01Speaker 1: to put that time for us to do these things
- 27:03Speaker 1: together because it's our responsibility to those things.
- 27:07Speaker 2: It's not my responsibility.
- 27:08Speaker 1: So I'm very grateful that my husband does appreciate the
- 27:11Speaker 1: closing shift as much as I do, because I do
- 27:13Speaker 1: think it sets you up for success in the morning
- 27:15Speaker 1: and knowing that your home is going to be completely clean,
- 27:18Speaker 1: clutter free when you wake up.
- 27:20Speaker 2: It does make a huge difference in your mindset as
- 27:22Speaker 2: soon as you wake up in the morning, if you
- 27:24Speaker 2: do have an early workout class in the morning, or
- 27:27Speaker 2: if you like to go to the gym early, or
- 27:28Speaker 2: if you're going to get a walk in.
- 27:30Speaker 1: I always love to put my workout sets out the
- 27:32Speaker 1: night before. I can also like pick out the exact
- 27:35Speaker 1: opit that I want to wear. That way, I look cute,
- 27:36Speaker 1: I feel put together sometimes when I wake up in
- 27:39Speaker 1: the morning, especially if there's a morning where for some
- 27:41Speaker 1: reason I had a hard time waking up and you know,
- 27:44Speaker 1: I'm trying to get my butt out the door. It
- 27:46Speaker 1: does take time to obviously pick out a gym outfit,
- 27:48Speaker 1: so laying out as much as you can the night before. Also,
- 27:51Speaker 1: if you're the kind of person that goes to the
- 27:52Speaker 1: gym and you need to pack a gym bag with
- 27:54Speaker 1: your running shoes, your water bottle, all that, that's something
- 27:57Speaker 1: to also keep in mind. So I always have my
- 28:00Speaker 1: water bottle out by my nightstand, so I.
- 28:02Speaker 2: Always just bring it downstairs and fill it up.
- 28:04Speaker 1: So that's always close to me as well as my
- 28:06Speaker 1: purse is always out downstairs which has my jarver's license
- 28:09Speaker 1: so I can drive. But those are like my two
- 28:12Speaker 1: things that I always need to have on the main
- 28:14Speaker 1: level before I leave the house. So if you're the
- 28:16Speaker 1: kind of person that maybe likes to have an energy
- 28:19Speaker 1: drink before their workout, like have that out. Like make
- 28:22Speaker 1: your morning as easy as possible as soon as you
- 28:25Speaker 1: wake up, so have everything prepped, everything ready. Maybe you
- 28:28Speaker 1: want to have breakfast prep that way, everything's ready in
- 28:30Speaker 1: the morning. I know a lot of people do overnight oats,
- 28:32Speaker 1: so making your oatmeal at night, putting it in the.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Fridge, waking up, your breakfast is already done. You can
- 28:36Speaker 2: take it on the go.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Like, there's so many ways to prep and have things
- 28:42Speaker 1: ready for you. That way you can get out of
- 28:44Speaker 1: the house earlier. So for people that you know may
- 28:46Speaker 1: have a job that they have to be at by
- 28:48Speaker 1: seven am or eight am, like, do those little things
- 28:51Speaker 1: that could help, like prepping your breakfast in advance, you know,
- 28:54Speaker 1: taking out your workout clothes and advance. That way everything
- 28:56Speaker 1: can be done fast. I know people who shower obviously
- 29:00Speaker 1: at workout classes or at gyms. That way they can
- 29:03Speaker 1: strictly leave from the workout class straight to their jobs.
- 29:08Speaker 1: So if you have the luxury of doing that, that
- 29:11Speaker 1: is amazing. And yeah, I just highly encourage prepping as
- 29:15Speaker 1: much as you can. That way, your mornings feel a
- 29:17Speaker 1: little bit more prepared, knowing that you prepped everything at night.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Another thing that I've been loving that I do every
- 29:22Speaker 1: single night is planning out your mornings the night before.
- 29:25Speaker 1: So of course I like to plan out my days
- 29:27Speaker 1: in my morning through my planner, but at night, I
- 29:30Speaker 1: actually do little to do lists on my phone and
- 29:32Speaker 1: I'll just kind of plan out everything that I have
- 29:34Speaker 1: to get done for the morning. And what I love
- 29:36Speaker 1: about the notes app on your iPhone is that you
- 29:38Speaker 1: can add like little checklists, so you can now like
- 29:42Speaker 1: touch it and they'll put a little checkmark once you've
- 29:44Speaker 1: gotten it done and you've completed it. So I'll do
- 29:46Speaker 1: like little to do lists of what I have to
- 29:48Speaker 1: get done in the morning. So it's like, Okay, if
- 29:49Speaker 1: I have to change over laundry for some reason that
- 29:51Speaker 1: I put in, you know from the night time. In
- 29:55Speaker 1: the morning, I can wake up, Okay, I change it
- 29:57Speaker 1: to the dryer, perfect fill up my water bottle, put
- 30:00Speaker 1: on my workout set, head to my pilates class like breakfast.
- 30:04Speaker 2: You guys get the gist.
- 30:05Speaker 1: But anyways, having that little to do list and planning
- 30:07Speaker 1: that the night before is so crucial because sometimes I'll
- 30:10Speaker 1: wake up and obviously I'm immediately thinking, just go straight
- 30:13Speaker 1: to my workout class and get this workout class over with.
- 30:16Speaker 2: But having that little checklist.
- 30:18Speaker 1: Just reminds me everything that I have to get done,
- 30:20Speaker 1: either before the workout class or after, and it's just
- 30:22Speaker 1: good little reminders to do before you start your day.
- 30:25Speaker 1: The last one is actually getting eight hours of sleep.
- 30:28Speaker 1: So by making a realistic bedtime for yourself, knowing that
- 30:32Speaker 1: you'll be able to get exactly eight hours of sleep
- 30:35Speaker 1: or nine hours of sleep before you wake up in
- 30:37Speaker 1: the morning is crucial. So having enough sleep is obviously
- 30:41Speaker 1: going to impact your energy, it's going to impact your mood.
- 30:43Speaker 1: So making sure that you actually get eight hours of
- 30:45Speaker 1: sleep per day is so crucial because it really does
- 30:49Speaker 1: make a huge difference. I wouldn't really say this as
- 30:51Speaker 1: a habit, but it's just something to keep in mind
- 30:53Speaker 1: when you are setting a realistic bedtime for yourself, because
- 30:56Speaker 1: you really want to make sure that you're getting that
- 30:59Speaker 1: full eight hours is So that is the five nighttime
- 31:02Speaker 1: habits that I find has changed my life and things
- 31:04Speaker 1: that have really helped me set up my night for success.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Specifically for people who love to wake up early in
- 31:09Speaker 1: the morning or who want to become a morning person,
- 31:12Speaker 1: these habits are something that you guys are going to
- 31:14Speaker 1: really want to adapt and cheer your routine if.
- 31:17Speaker 2: You want to become an early riser.
- 31:18Speaker 1: Now, this last one, it's just a random habit that
- 31:20Speaker 1: I wanted to point out because it's something that I'm
- 31:23Speaker 1: always trying to improve on, and that is improving my
- 31:25Speaker 1: current eating habits. So let's be honest, we all try
- 31:29Speaker 1: and follow the eighty twenty rule. Eighty percent whole foods,
- 31:32Speaker 1: twenty percent indulge basically is what I see it to be.
- 31:36Speaker 1: I've been working really hard at not drinking alcohol. I
- 31:40Speaker 1: don't know if I want to fully cut it out yet.
- 31:42Speaker 1: That's something that I've been really working on currently because
- 31:46Speaker 1: I do enjoy a glass of wine when I go out,
- 31:49Speaker 1: like this weekend, Zach and I are celebrating our twelve
- 31:51Speaker 1: year anniversary, and it's something that I want to do,
- 31:54Speaker 1: like I want to order a cocktail, and I feel
- 31:57Speaker 1: that I should be able to do that. However, there
- 31:59Speaker 1: is also mocktails, so like why do I have to
- 32:01Speaker 1: order something with alcohol in it? Like?
- 32:04Speaker 2: Does alcohol really fulfill me?
- 32:05Speaker 1: So the point I'm trying to make a cross is
- 32:07Speaker 1: that I'm always trying to improve the way I'm eating,
- 32:11Speaker 1: because I do find what you eat obviously plays a
- 32:14Speaker 1: huge impact on how you feel, how you look and physically,
- 32:17Speaker 1: like I do feel confident, I'm really proud of like
- 32:20Speaker 1: how my body has came out to be with just
- 32:22Speaker 1: working really hard on it with pilates and working out.
- 32:25Speaker 1: But you guys know that working out for me isn't
- 32:28Speaker 1: about just how I physically look, It's about how it
- 32:30Speaker 1: makes me feel. Anyways, I'm always trying to improve my
- 32:32Speaker 1: eating habits by trying new, healthier recipes, trying to make substitutions.
- 32:37Speaker 2: One thing I've been trying to really improve on is
- 32:39Speaker 2: less snacking.
- 32:40Speaker 1: I feel like I always have the urge to have
- 32:43Speaker 1: a snack between you know, like three o'clock and six
- 32:47Speaker 1: o'clock because Zach and I usually have dinner around seven,
- 32:50Speaker 1: so I usually want to have a snack and I
- 32:53Speaker 1: crave a snack around that period.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Of time. Well, usually what I'm snacking on is probably
- 32:56Speaker 2: not the best.
- 32:57Speaker 1: Like I love to just grab like crackers or chips
- 33:00Speaker 1: and salsa or chips and guac, and I'm like, I
- 33:03Speaker 1: really need to cut out this like addictive chip or
- 33:06Speaker 1: cracker face, Like why don't we swap the snacks for
- 33:09Speaker 1: like an apple with almond butter or something with a
- 33:12Speaker 1: bit more protein, Like just little swaps like that. I'm like, Okay,
- 33:16Speaker 1: I need to encourage myself to make that change. Another
- 33:19Speaker 1: thing that I changed a few months ago that I
- 33:21Speaker 1: was addicted to was those coffee creamers. So I was
- 33:25Speaker 1: really into the Charbonni creamer or there was another creamer
- 33:29Speaker 1: by Elmhurst.
- 33:30Speaker 2: I believe that's here in Canada.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Anyways, Coffee creamers are not really the greatest for you,
- 33:35Speaker 1: So I've been trying to remove that, which I have
- 33:37Speaker 1: completely now from my coffee recipe. But that was something
- 33:40Speaker 1: that was high in calories that was just completely unnecessary.
- 33:43Speaker 2: So always evaluate what you're eating on a daily basis.
- 33:46Speaker 2: So if you're having a coffee.
- 33:47Speaker 1: Every single morning, or a macha, or you know, if
- 33:50Speaker 1: you're having these desserts or snacks that you're having every
- 33:52Speaker 1: single day, like I valuate is that actually good for
- 33:55Speaker 1: you or is that actually impacting how you're feeling or
- 33:58Speaker 1: impacting your weight or whatever. We always just find improvements.
- 34:01Speaker 1: I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I'm trying
- 34:03Speaker 1: to improve little things like my coffee or my snacks
- 34:07Speaker 1: or my desserts, and those are just little things that
- 34:10Speaker 1: I'm always working on. So just know that there's always
- 34:12Speaker 1: going to be improvements into your routine. There's always going
- 34:15Speaker 1: to be improvements into your eating habits. Nobody is perfect,
- 34:18Speaker 1: and that's the whole point of creating these healthy habits
- 34:22Speaker 1: for yourself is that there's always room for improvement.
- 34:25Speaker 2: And that's okay. So for me, that is something that
- 34:28Speaker 2: I'm currently trying to improve on. It's not perfect.
- 34:30Speaker 1: I know it's not perfect, but it's something that I'm
- 34:32Speaker 1: working towards. So just wanted to make that a highlight
- 34:35Speaker 1: too end this episode off. But I hope you guys
- 34:38Speaker 1: enjoyed today's episode. I really enjoyed today's episode. I felt

- 34:49Speaker 1: just kind of structure, a routine, or some habits for yourself.
