Transcript
- 0:04Speaker 1: All right, right, you come and TOYO live from Philly.
- 0:09Speaker 1: It's the number on errated Polly and Tony four Star show.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Yo as always Polly First Go, heir with Tony First
- 0:17Speaker 1: Go and Tony YO. Very important show today. You know,
- 0:22Speaker 1: while we'd love to continue talking about the Eagles and
- 0:25Speaker 1: that total domination of that no talent hack, Patrick Mahomes,
- 0:29Speaker 1: it is that time of year when we must turn
- 0:32Speaker 1: our attention to the NBA, even though nobody wants to.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Nobody wants to, but there's just tons of uproar about
- 0:38Speaker 1: the NBA All Star Game, which sucked for the twenty
- 0:41Speaker 1: seventh consecutive year at least. Yeah. Yeah, this is many
- 0:44Speaker 1: people calling on the NBA to come up with ways
- 0:47Speaker 1: to fix the game other than canceling it forever, which
- 0:50Speaker 1: is the obvious solution. Yes, that would be the best
- 0:53Speaker 1: solution anyway, but exactly so, anyway, today we are going
- 0:56Speaker 1: to do a deep dive into everything wrong with the
- 0:59Speaker 1: All Star Game in the NBA in our special report
- 1:02Speaker 1: NBA in Crisis, NBA in Crisis. Not only will we
- 1:08Speaker 1: break down why the NBA sucks so much, we're going
- 1:11Speaker 1: to open up the Verizon Hot Take hot Line ideas
- 1:16Speaker 1: from you out there on ways to fix the All
- 1:18Speaker 1: Star Game again besides canceling it forever, which is still
- 1:21Speaker 1: exactly still the best thing to do. But again, just
- 1:24Speaker 1: to be clear, we know our ideas are way better
- 1:27Speaker 1: than yours. But just for the record, you're not coming
- 1:30Speaker 1: to you because we need that information. We're coming to
- 1:33Speaker 1: you because Verizon paid us millions to do something called
- 1:36Speaker 1: the hot Take Hotline. So it just takes us a
- 1:39Speaker 1: few minutes. We got to listen to your dumb ideas
- 1:41Speaker 1: and we get paid at a rate of well, I
- 1:43Speaker 1: don't want to disclose it, but let's say it's in
- 1:45Speaker 1: the ten zeros exactly.
- 1:48Speaker 2: And you know that also helps the pain of us
- 1:51Speaker 2: having to sit through all of your takes.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Right, that helps the money. But first, before we get
- 1:56Speaker 1: into basketball, Tony, there is one NFL story just broke
- 2:00Speaker 1: hit that sounders. According to just release new photos, Patrick
- 2:08Speaker 1: Mahomes has cut his ugly looking muppet hair after losing
- 2:12Speaker 1: the Super Bowl. Now, Doty, what were we saying. We've
- 2:14Speaker 1: been telling you ever since Nick Sirianni shaved his head.
- 2:18Speaker 1: We said there is a direct correlation between hair length
- 2:22Speaker 1: and winning. Yeah, look at Jalen hurts.
- 2:25Speaker 2: He has that sweet nineties kid in play short buzz
- 2:28Speaker 2: cut fade which allows him to move faster and scramble
- 2:32Speaker 2: faster because of the aerodynamics. Meanwhile, look at Trevor Lawrence
- 2:37Speaker 2: with his long, luscious flowing hair. No wonder he's throwing
- 2:40Speaker 2: all those picks. The hair is clearly getting in his
- 2:43Speaker 2: eyes and he can't see the field or any of
- 2:46Speaker 2: his receivers. I think it's clear that instead of the
- 2:49Speaker 2: Jaguars getting him a new coach, they need to get
- 2:52Speaker 2: him a barber.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Great follicle analysis is always doty and that's our breaking news. Okay,
- 2:58Speaker 1: so there we go, got down out of the way,
- 3:00Speaker 1: and well now it's time to begin our special report.
- 3:04Speaker 1: NBA in crisis, NBA in crisis again. Just so much
- 3:11Speaker 1: went horribly wrong over the NBA All Star Break. Now,
- 3:14Speaker 1: we'd love to tell you dissect everything that went wrong,
- 3:17Speaker 1: but frankly, we didn't watch a single second of it. Now,
- 3:20Speaker 1: of course, we had tickets to see Billy Joel at
- 3:22Speaker 1: the Vegan Sun exactly. So honestly, all that takes from
- 3:26Speaker 1: clips we saw on Twitter blog posts and also just
- 3:29Speaker 1: takes we're recycling from the last All Star game we
- 3:32Speaker 1: watched in twenty thirteen. But still all these points are
- 3:35Speaker 1: very relevant, and Tony, you had a great one. You
- 3:38Speaker 1: told me in the car ride back.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Tell the people, Well, first of all, you know so
- 3:42Speaker 2: many people call it the All Star break. Well, we
- 3:46Speaker 2: all know employees don't want to work when they're on break.
- 3:50Speaker 2: A much smarter idea would be to call it the
- 3:53Speaker 2: NBA All Star Work Retreat. You know that way these
- 3:58Speaker 2: lazy gen z, the NBA players know that it's fun
- 4:03Speaker 2: but also work related and therefore mandatory is dictated by
- 4:08Speaker 2: the terms of their employer.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Great point, don'y I mean, what is the most important
- 4:13Speaker 1: event in all of basketball? The dunk Contest?
- 4:17Speaker 3: Yep?
- 4:17Speaker 1: And the lineup of the dunk Contest with three no
- 4:20Speaker 1: names in Mac McClung, who's not even a professional basketball
- 4:23Speaker 1: player now he's in the G League. How can you
- 4:26Speaker 1: call this the All Star weekend when it's not all stars? Sense?
- 4:32Speaker 1: You can't?
- 4:32Speaker 2: I mean, shouldn't it be called like half Star weekend then?
- 4:36Speaker 2: Or you know, maybe like a three to eight star weekend. Yeah,
- 4:40Speaker 2: if I'm a consumer or the FCC, I would sue
- 4:44Speaker 2: the NBA for false advertising. You know, at least when
- 4:47Speaker 2: people went to this year's Pro Bowl. They got to
- 4:50Speaker 2: see actual NFL stars like Joe Burrow, and you know
- 4:56Speaker 2: there was also.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Josh Allen. No, no, he declined to participate. That's right,
- 5:05Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson he was there. No, no, he also declined
- 5:08Speaker 1: to participate. Manning was there. I mean he wasn't on
- 5:12Speaker 1: the field. Yeah, he was there totally. That's Burrow. I
- 5:18Speaker 1: mean that's a name, that's a big name exactly. Anyway, right, well, look,
- 5:23Speaker 1: you know there are other problems with the All Star Game.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Draymond Green. You know, he came out on the broadcast
- 5:28Speaker 1: and he said the game's boring, terrible, and then you know,
- 5:32Speaker 1: Charles Barkley came back at him and said, well, it's
- 5:35Speaker 1: Draymond Green's generation. You're ruined the All Star Game. And
- 5:38Speaker 1: you know this is just so true, Tony. Basketball's gone
- 5:41Speaker 1: totally downhill since Barkley left, totally.
- 5:45Speaker 2: You know, the game of basketball was so much more
- 5:48Speaker 2: exciting during Charles Barkley's generation. You know, people didn't tune
- 5:53Speaker 2: in back then just to see who would win and
- 5:55Speaker 2: who would lose, but who would be hospitalized or even murdered.
- 6:00Speaker 2: You know, people forget that in the late eighties and
- 6:02Speaker 2: early nineties, people would literally root for athletes to kill
- 6:07Speaker 2: each other.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Yep.
- 6:08Speaker 2: But then OJ Simpson, you know, murdered two civilians and
- 6:11Speaker 2: then people were like, whoa, whoa, whoa, that's too far,
- 6:14Speaker 2: and that led to the PC anti murder sports world
- 6:17Speaker 2: that we're in right now.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Just such a terrible drop off, fan, Tony, and you know,
- 6:22Speaker 1: you know it's so true because you know, you look
- 6:24Speaker 1: at the reception that the NHL All Star Game got
- 6:26Speaker 1: this year, where there was basically, you know, ninety eight
- 6:29Speaker 1: percent fighting in two percent hockey. Perfect that exactly. That
- 6:33Speaker 1: used to be what the NBA was all about, until
- 6:36Speaker 1: the league just totally lost its way, don't you agree,
- 6:39Speaker 1: one hundred percent?
- 6:40Speaker 2: We all know the number one metric for all sports
- 6:44Speaker 2: fan gae engagement exactly. And there was no greater example
- 6:49Speaker 2: of fan engagement than the Malice at the Palace. You know,
- 6:52Speaker 2: fans not only got to come on the court, but
- 6:55Speaker 2: they got a chance to actually punch players in the face.
- 6:59Speaker 1: It was the ultimate fantasy camp.
- 7:01Speaker 2: I mean, who wouldn't want to come to the stadium
- 7:04Speaker 2: and have a chance to punch Lebron James in the throw?
- 7:08Speaker 1: Just terrific points all around, Tony and you know, this
- 7:11Speaker 1: is what made Charles Barkley so great. He was a
- 7:15Speaker 1: master of fan engagement. Just engaged with fans all the time,
- 7:18Speaker 1: you know, throwing them through ball windows, restaurant windows, hotel windows,
- 7:24Speaker 1: assaulting them in the streets randomly, shoving them into gutters
- 7:28Speaker 1: and having such of their girlfriends right in front of
- 7:30Speaker 1: them while they cried. You know, just giving them such
- 7:33Speaker 1: memorable experiences all around, you know.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Making memories for the fans that would last a lifetime.
- 7:40Speaker 1: You know, and Tony I got to agree with Charles
- 7:43Speaker 1: Barkley and all the points he made because you know,
- 7:45Speaker 1: when I watched basketball these days, it's just terrible. There's
- 7:48Speaker 1: there's too much scoring. I mean, I see some of
- 7:50Speaker 1: these scores, one hundred and seventy nine through one hundred
- 7:53Speaker 1: and sixty seven. Is this a basketball game or a
- 7:56Speaker 1: bowling match? What's going on now?
- 7:58Speaker 2: You know, the NBA was so much better in the
- 8:01Speaker 2: eighties and nineties, when U had scores like sixty two
- 8:05Speaker 2: to fifty nine. You know, tight defensive battles where teams
- 8:09Speaker 2: shot nineteen percent from the field because they were afraid
- 8:12Speaker 2: of being decapitated by Dennis Rodman.
- 8:15Speaker 1: All the games came down to a tense edgy.
- 8:18Speaker 2: You see free throw battle in the last two minutes,
- 8:21Speaker 2: and you know each free throw was so important because
- 8:25Speaker 2: accounted for like eleven twelve percent of the team's total score. Yep,
- 8:29Speaker 2: that was real stakes and real tension.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Just such great basketball analysis all around that, Dody. And
- 8:37Speaker 1: you want to talk tension, I gotta say I'm a
- 8:39Speaker 1: little tense about what we got coming up next time.
- 8:42Speaker 1: You know, as we've said before, we don't like opening
- 8:46Speaker 1: up the phone lines because you know, you never know
- 8:48Speaker 1: what you're gonna get. Well you're doing, it's all terrible.
- 8:51Speaker 1: So what we've done is we've come up with this
- 8:53Speaker 1: thing called the hot Take Hotline, where people know they
- 8:55Speaker 1: can send us that takes email video. And yet some
- 8:59Speaker 1: people struggle with those very complex instructions. Tony. We received
- 9:03Speaker 1: a lot of type emails, yeah, a lot of texts.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Maybe our audience is full of like Stephen Hawkings or
- 9:09Speaker 1: something that's what's going on out Well, they're just all
- 9:12Speaker 1: AI who knows, but you know, you never know these days, Tony. Anyway,
- 9:17Speaker 1: So here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna go ahead
- 9:19Speaker 1: right now and we're gonna open up the Verizon Hot
- 9:23Speaker 1: take hotline. Yeah, all right, so this is what we
- 9:27Speaker 1: did the other day. We sent out a tweet whatever
- 9:30Speaker 1: from my Instagram wherever, and it said, give us your
- 9:33Speaker 1: smartest ideas to fix the terrible NBA All Star Games.
- 9:37Speaker 1: So we haven't bothered listened to any of these because
- 9:40Speaker 1: you know, we're very busy, and also we kind of
- 9:42Speaker 1: don't care. But a producer, he apparently narrowed these down
- 9:46Speaker 1: to the most interesting ones, best ones, not horrible ones. Producer,
- 9:51Speaker 1: what what's first up?
- 9:53Speaker 3: First one is from Simon and his brother?
- 9:56Speaker 1: Okay, well, what's his brother's name? Does his brother have
- 9:59Speaker 1: a name? Brother?
- 10:01Speaker 3: I don't know, No, I don't know.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Sorry, we forgot to ask you to do this simple
- 10:05Speaker 1: job of finding out who the videos are sending. Okay,
- 10:10Speaker 1: go ahead, play, Just go ahead and hit play. All right.
- 10:13Speaker 4: You know, so you're asking how we should fix the
- 10:15Speaker 4: All Star Game, and what we really should do is
- 10:18Speaker 4: we have to make a one v one tournament with players.
- 10:20Speaker 5: In the NBA.
- 10:21Speaker 6: Let's entertain like the catch should make it better.
- 10:23Speaker 7: All seventy six ers players and it gets better announcing
- 10:28Speaker 7: Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley because they know ball.
- 10:31Speaker 5: They know ball.
- 10:32Speaker 4: They're great ball.
- 10:33Speaker 6: Like, you know, I would personally invite Nick Foles.
- 10:36Speaker 1: He knows how to win.
- 10:37Speaker 4: He's a winner.
- 10:37Speaker 1: He knows how to win. That's how you make the
- 10:38Speaker 1: All Star Game better and win, you know, Tony, Uh,
- 10:44Speaker 1: I do appreciate that creativity close. The problem is is
- 10:47Speaker 1: that if you put Nick Foles in any athletic competition,
- 10:51Speaker 1: he's just gonna win. By a mind, He's just gonna win,
- 10:53Speaker 1: and it's not gonna be competitive at all. Like exactly,
- 10:56Speaker 1: he went and played pickle ball, as we told you
- 10:58Speaker 1: how the past episode these he's the greatest pickleball player
- 11:01Speaker 1: of all time. Just a great multi sport athlete.
- 11:04Speaker 2: And also, you know, the problem too is if you
- 11:07Speaker 2: have Nick Foles there on a basketball court, you know,
- 11:10Speaker 2: it creates a safety issue because you know they might
- 11:13Speaker 2: trip over.
- 11:14Speaker 1: You know that that's so true, Tony. You know, when
- 11:16Speaker 1: he's in the football gear, the long pants totally safe
- 11:19Speaker 1: for everybody. But in those short NBA pants, it's like
- 11:22Speaker 1: gonna you're gonna have like an anchor on the frost
- 11:24Speaker 1: there running tripping paper. So you know, again, you know,
- 11:28Speaker 1: I gotta commend them. They're thinking outside the box, maybe
- 11:31Speaker 1: too far outside the box. But all right, thank you,
- 11:34Speaker 1: thank you, Simon, Simon, and whoever that other person was,
- 11:38Speaker 1: all right, produce. So who's up next? Nathaniel is next? Okay,
- 11:43Speaker 1: let's go.
- 11:44Speaker 5: So my idea to fix the NBA All Star Game
- 11:47Speaker 5: is you take all of the players in the first
- 11:49Speaker 5: half of the season who have the most technical fouls.
- 11:53Speaker 5: You get all of those players on a team and
- 11:55Speaker 5: have them play a full regulation game against all of
- 11:59Speaker 5: the nb A refs, and whoever loses that game gets
- 12:04Speaker 5: fined fifty million dollars.
- 12:09Speaker 1: All right, you know, not bad. You know, he had
- 12:13Speaker 1: me in the first half there with that the technical foul.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Then he kind of lost me because you know what,
- 12:19Speaker 1: do we know that every you need steaks, Tony? What's
- 12:22Speaker 1: fifty million dollars? Nobody cares about what I care. What
- 12:25Speaker 1: you do is you have the technical fouls people, they
- 12:28Speaker 1: play against a team of correctional officers, right exactly, and
- 12:33Speaker 1: then they go back and flay.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Yeah, and then what happens is the losing team gets
- 12:38Speaker 2: put on death row.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Now facts, those are steaks right there exactly. That it's
- 12:43Speaker 1: life of death. I may watch a quarter of one
- 12:47Speaker 1: hundred million, the fourth quarter I'd watch not the first.
- 12:51Speaker 2: The end of the fourth quarter, like the last two
- 12:53Speaker 2: minutes exactly. But all right, that some d simple effort,
- 12:58Speaker 2: noble efforts. Have credit that to Nathaniel. Okay, yeah, all right,
- 13:02Speaker 2: next one, producer.
- 13:04Speaker 3: We got Tom from Chicago.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Tom from Chicago. So now now we've the producer has
- 13:11Speaker 1: now gone. He took our note. Now we're getting a
- 13:13Speaker 1: little more biographical information on these staple Okay, all right,
- 13:18Speaker 1: Tom from Chicago. Hit play eight, PAULI eight.
- 13:21Speaker 4: Tony, it's Tom from Chicago. You're a big fan of
- 13:24Speaker 4: the show. Guys, congrants on the super Bowl win. There's
- 13:27Speaker 4: only one way to save the NBA game for next year.
- 13:30Speaker 4: Magnet shoes. Okay, when we're all playing basketball, we're having
- 13:35Speaker 4: a good time. It's when the celebrities, Kevin Hat, mister
- 13:38Speaker 4: Beast try to come on the court, things go to shit.
- 13:41Speaker 4: So put magnet shoes on all the celebrities. When they
- 13:43Speaker 4: try to come on magnet floor, they get stuck and
- 13:48Speaker 4: they can't move. So there you go.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Fix it for you guys. What the hell was that
- 13:54Speaker 1: accent Tony had?
- 13:56Speaker 2: It was like he went back and forth from like
- 13:58Speaker 2: a Chicago accent to like a Swedish accent.
- 14:01Speaker 1: I felt like he was like making fun of people
- 14:03Speaker 1: from Chicago, Like I actually kind of found it offensive
- 14:08Speaker 1: to people from Chicago, And therefore I really wasn't listening
- 14:11Speaker 1: to most of what he was saying, except when I
- 14:13Speaker 1: did realize he had totally stolen one of our takes
- 14:16Speaker 1: from right from who said madness, who said yeah that
- 14:21Speaker 1: we could stop court storming in college basketball by putting
- 14:24Speaker 1: magnet shoes not on the on the people in the stands,
- 14:27Speaker 1: And now he's turning it around into this other thing. Yeah,
- 14:31Speaker 1: you know, it's just very offensive to put on an
- 14:33Speaker 1: accent of someone you're very clearly not well. Anyway, Yay,
- 14:37Speaker 1: let's move on the more serious call as I who
- 14:39Speaker 1: we got up next?
- 14:40Speaker 3: Oh, we got Elliott Elliott.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Let's go, Hello, Fusco show.
- 14:45Speaker 6: I'm Elliott Seisman, proud Dallas Cowboy fans, the twenty twenty
- 14:49Speaker 6: five Super Bowl winners. My idea on how to fix
- 14:52Speaker 6: the NBA All Star Game season bands for air balls.
- 14:57Speaker 1: It would get rid of.
- 14:58Speaker 6: These weird shots from nowhere that are very unimpressive. But
- 15:04Speaker 6: I understand there's bets on half court shots. How's Vega
- 15:08Speaker 6: is gonna make its money if you make a half
- 15:10Speaker 6: court shot, you win the NBA.
- 15:14Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 15:15Speaker 1: I'll be out my take. I don't know about you, Tony,
- 15:19Speaker 1: but when I saw that he was wearing a Cowboys
- 15:22Speaker 1: jersey and an Ezekiel Elliott jersey, I immediately knew this
- 15:26Speaker 1: was not someone worth listening though. Yeah.
- 15:29Speaker 2: As soon as he said Cowboys twenty twenty five champions,
- 15:32Speaker 2: I immediately turned out.
- 15:34Speaker 1: I didn't even hear that. By that, I can't even now.
- 15:36Speaker 1: I'm like, exactly, let's forget just move one, all right,
- 15:40Speaker 1: next one?
- 15:42Speaker 3: Well, this one, I'll read it to you. It's an email.
- 15:45Speaker 3: There was no video.
- 15:46Speaker 1: What was it sent from eighteen ninety six? What's going
- 15:49Speaker 1: on here?
- 15:50Speaker 3: I don't know. It's do you want to hear it?
- 15:53Speaker 1: Not really, but go.
- 15:54Speaker 3: A couple points one at a retired player five versus five, one.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Versus oh sorry, there was like a dramatic pause that
- 16:04Speaker 1: keep going, okay.
- 16:06Speaker 3: One v one tournament with reward being better contract eligibility,
- 16:11Speaker 3: so like Max to a super max contract.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Is there a PowerPoint? There was? Sam? Is this a
- 16:16Speaker 1: power point? Yeah?
- 16:17Speaker 3: East versus West, with winners of the game getting contract upgrades.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Just like I said before.
- 16:24Speaker 1: You thought that was good content? That last two minutes.
- 16:27Speaker 1: It felt like whatever you just.
- 16:29Speaker 2: I just want to apologize to Noah. I didn't hear
- 16:32Speaker 2: one word because produce a Jay reading the email was the.
- 16:38Speaker 1: It was the worst thing I've ever experienced. Can we
- 16:40Speaker 1: go back to this being a hotline segment? Can you
- 16:43Speaker 1: get some video audio something? Please?
- 16:45Speaker 3: We have a voicemail from Bennett.
- 16:48Speaker 1: All right, beg all right, let's see that Bennett to go.
- 16:51Speaker 8: This is how I propose we fixed All Star weekend.
- 16:55Speaker 8: We need to implement a sacrificial event. We haven't done
- 17:02Speaker 8: sacrifices in five hundred years, but people used to die
- 17:07Speaker 8: for that stuff. They wouldn't stop watching it. We need
- 17:10Speaker 8: to bring that back. Just we could sacrifice anyone Derek
- 17:14Speaker 8: Lively see you see ya? Just sacrifice him so many
- 17:18Speaker 8: people will.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Watch, you know, Donnie, Okay, So that's he has on
- 17:23Speaker 1: the something there. I mean, it's a terrible idea, something
- 17:26Speaker 1: for the awesome game. But I see what you're thinking.
- 17:29Speaker 1: I know this for this show exactly might work. Like
- 17:33Speaker 1: at the end of the show was murder someone. So
- 17:36Speaker 1: we need to do is find someone to murder. There
- 17:40Speaker 1: we go. We just need to find someone to Although
- 17:44Speaker 1: the gods may be angry at us for sending him
- 17:46Speaker 1: up to them. You know that's fire right anyway, all right,
- 17:51Speaker 1: let's move on to the next one. Thank you, Bennett.
- 17:53Speaker 1: I guess all right, what's the next one?
- 17:56Speaker 2: One?
- 17:56Speaker 3: Audio clip from Western from DC.
- 18:00Speaker 1: That's very confusing, shouldn't it be? Easton is in DC?
- 18:04Speaker 1: Are you sure his name is Weston?
- 18:07Speaker 3: Western?
- 18:08Speaker 1: Alright? Whatever? Play it, all right?
- 18:10Speaker 7: Go hi, Paulie and Tony, love you guys. Fuck you
- 18:12Speaker 7: producer Jay. I'm Western from DC and to fix the
- 18:16Speaker 7: All Star Game. You guys remember that Britney grinder for
- 18:18Speaker 7: the Russian arms dealer swap. We need to have political
- 18:21Speaker 7: prisoners on the line, so we can have Team Lebron
- 18:24Speaker 7: and the bad guys versus Team Embiid and the good guys.
- 18:26Speaker 7: We can win back an American hero, a soldier that's
- 18:29Speaker 7: been captured. Maybe we pay some sketchy guys to capture
- 18:34Speaker 7: one of our true American heroes a week before the
- 18:37Speaker 7: All Star Game every year, and then we can put
- 18:40Speaker 7: up a bad guy that we've captured in a war,
- 18:43Speaker 7: in prison, whatever it may be.
- 18:45Speaker 1: But put that on the line.
- 18:47Speaker 7: There's some real stakes to it.
- 18:48Speaker 1: The players will have to try. Wow. I gotta say,
- 18:53Speaker 1: I gotta say, Tony, I'm kind of flawed right now.
- 18:56Speaker 1: I was not lost, you know, I thought our audience
- 18:59Speaker 1: was clearly all just total morons. But I gotta say it,
- 19:03Speaker 1: I think we found the one smart boy and we're
- 19:06Speaker 1: gonna give it up for him. What's his name again? Easton? Easton?
- 19:10Speaker 3: West?
- 19:11Speaker 1: All right? Well, West and there you goton you national
- 19:16Speaker 1: an play the anthem play because you know what you
- 19:19Speaker 1: are a true hero of shorts knowledge and good job,
- 19:23Speaker 1: you know you, Sylvia. You don't win anything for this.
- 19:26Speaker 1: But Adam Silvia, you who listens to the show, we
- 19:28Speaker 1: know he's watching. We will wait to see that you've
- 19:32Speaker 1: just probably fixed the All Star game forever and no game.
- 19:35Speaker 1: By the way, the way you started with producer Jay,
- 19:39Speaker 1: just the chef's chef's kiss and on that, let's end
- 19:43Speaker 1: this segment. Close up, the up, close up, the close up,
- 19:49Speaker 1: the hot take, hotline sponsored Diverizon close it go all right,
- 19:54Speaker 1: Well that was just you know there. We did go
- 19:56Speaker 1: out on a high note there, but that was just
- 19:58Speaker 1: a West and nobody else, not a produced and of
- 20:01Speaker 1: course wait want to thank our sponsor Verizon. They by
- 20:04Speaker 1: going out and ten you know, we need to do
- 20:08Speaker 1: a Fusco cold line and that's what comes in from
- 20:11Speaker 1: from j Exactly what is it? What?
- 20:14Speaker 3: What corrections? You said? Mac McClung shouldn't be in the
- 20:19Speaker 3: dunk contest because he's not a professional NBA player.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Uh, G league, Bro, amateur hour, Bro.
- 20:27Speaker 3: G League players are professional basketball players. They make money.
- 20:31Speaker 3: So what you said is just ignorant.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Oh yeah, well you're in the G League as in
- 20:37Speaker 1: G Why the is this guy dogging?
- 20:40Speaker 2: Yeah, you're gonna win the dunk contest in my pool
- 20:43Speaker 2: when I drown you.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Oh great, one, We still still going what you said.
- 20:52Speaker 3: In the NBA in the nineties, scoring was so low
- 20:55Speaker 3: that a free throw would count for eleven to twelve
- 20:57Speaker 3: percent of a team's total score.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Uh yeah, bro, very tight contest, bro. Yeah.
- 21:03Speaker 3: No, for a free throw to count eleven or twelve percent,
- 21:08Speaker 3: teams would have to be scoring like eight or nine
- 21:11Speaker 3: points per game. That never happened.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Well, after the show, I'm going to free
- 21:18Speaker 1: throw you into my incinerator.
