- 0:01Speaker 1: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from KFI AM
- 0:05Speaker 1: six fortys.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Young adults are lonelier, dating is declining, friend groups are shrinking.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Penises are more flaccid. By the way, I don't know
- 0:21Speaker 2: if it's true or not, but I just wanted to
- 0:23Speaker 2: get your attention.
- 0:24Speaker 1: And now Handle on the news. Ladies and gentlemen. Here's
- 0:29Speaker 1: Bill Handle.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Good morning everybody, Bill Handle here, it's good morning crew.
- 0:36Speaker 2: It's also a Monday morning, January twelve. Another football game
- 0:41Speaker 2: last night which I didn't see, so some team one
- 0:45Speaker 2: and some team lost, and so I'm happy to report
- 0:51Speaker 2: how it went. I know Aaron Rodgers. This was probably
- 0:55Speaker 2: his last game ever. Dot do they make a big
- 0:59Speaker 2: deal about it that everybody announced and cheered and last
- 1:03Speaker 2: game ever? Kind of thing? Really? Okay, no big deal.
- 1:08Speaker 3: You can where he is Pittsburgh and Houston last night.
- 1:11Speaker 2: By the way, Okay, well, he has a lot to
- 1:14Speaker 2: do with the fact that he's sort of crazy with
- 1:16Speaker 2: this vaccine and the autism stuff. Maybe all right, guys,
- 1:23Speaker 2: let me say a quick hello. Good morning, Neil, you're
- 1:26Speaker 2: back again. Good morning Willie Woolf okay, and Will Coachswriiber, Hello, Will,
- 1:32Speaker 2: Good morning Bill all right, Yeah, everybody's happy camp or
- 1:36Speaker 2: and there you are. Hi, Today's gonna be fun. Why
- 1:42Speaker 2: is today going to be fun?
- 1:44Speaker 3: You're extra kuffuffled.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I mean this morning, my printer and I
- 1:49Speaker 2: do this all off of paper. The printer would not
- 1:51Speaker 2: work this morning. I started to do the show off
- 1:56Speaker 2: my phone because that's the device I used to print,
- 2:00Speaker 2: and nothing would work. So I just kept on pressing buttons.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Did you restart the printer?
- 2:07Speaker 2: I restarted everything. I restarted the printer three times. I
- 2:10Speaker 2: restarted my phone. It wouldn't work. It then said the
- 2:14Speaker 2: paper was out and the paper was in, so I
- 2:17Speaker 2: redid the paper and then I interrupted the job. I mean,
- 2:22Speaker 2: I did it all, and finally, for some reason, the
- 2:25Speaker 2: printer gods came down and said, here you go, we'll
- 2:28Speaker 2: get it working.
- 2:29Speaker 3: So I just have three versions of the first hour,
- 2:33Speaker 3: so that yeah, and then.
- 2:35Speaker 2: I've only read the news, so I now have to
- 2:37Speaker 2: put together during the breaks all the rest of the show.
- 2:40Speaker 2: I mean, it happens and Amy, good morning, Hi Bill, Hi,
- 2:44Speaker 2: so your coffee machine is working? Yes, yes, she got
- 2:49Speaker 2: a new coffee machine and she texted me this coffee
- 2:54Speaker 2: takes grace great, and I said yeah, because, frankly, up
- 2:58Speaker 2: to this point, you've been using water down urine samples,
- 3:02Speaker 2: youurine specimens that for some reason we call coffee.
- 3:07Speaker 3: And this is a little stronger than that.
- 3:10Speaker 2: It's good coffee.
- 3:11Speaker 3: This is great coffee.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Did you buy her a coffee machine? I did? Okay,
- 3:14Speaker 2: this is what coffee, because I couldn't stand her talking
- 3:17Speaker 2: about how her coffee machine was broken, how crappy the
- 3:20Speaker 2: coffee was. So yeah, I did. I couldn't. It was
- 3:26Speaker 2: an espresso.
- 3:26Speaker 4: Yeah, oh they're great.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Oh they are great. I have one, Neil, you have one.
- 3:30Speaker 3: But normally I can have like four cups of coffee,
- 3:33Speaker 3: like on a Saturday or Sunday, and I'm fine. And
- 3:37Speaker 3: I had my coffee on Sunday morning and I was like, yeah,
- 3:42Speaker 3: it's a little stronger.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Hey Bill, Yes, Coney's car, Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know,
- 3:49Speaker 2: I know, yeah, I know. But there's a very big difference.
- 3:53Speaker 2: There is a very big difference between a coffee machine
- 3:56Speaker 2: and a new car.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Well, the car's more necessary.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Well, I don't know, you drink coffee? Yes, thanks for that, guy. Thanks.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Should needs to get to work.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Do we should do a go go fund me camp?
- 4:10Speaker 2: Allowed to do that? Neil, are we allowed to do that?
- 4:13Speaker 2: You go fund him? Uh? Okay, but that you are
- 4:17Speaker 2: we allowed to do a go fund me campaign for
- 4:21Speaker 2: con What does.
- 4:22Speaker 4: Everybody think I'm still working in management because.
- 4:24Speaker 2: You have a better idea. You have a better idea
- 4:27Speaker 2: about we went We did a go fund me campaign
- 4:30Speaker 2: for your damn kidney. No we didn't, Yes we did.
- 4:34Speaker 2: I went out there and said, if anybody has a
- 4:36Speaker 2: spare kidney, can use it. No you didn't, but I
- 4:41Speaker 2: certainly did. I hustled your kidney like you could not believe.
- 4:44Speaker 4: I'm fine.
- 4:45Speaker 3: You know what?
- 4:46Speaker 4: Going forward?
- 4:50Speaker 2: I think, you know what, go yeah, let's let's open
- 4:52Speaker 2: up a go fund me campaign just for the you know,
- 4:55Speaker 2: and if they do, they shut it down?
- 4:58Speaker 4: What Cono, the Pride the Ie?
- 5:01Speaker 2: Uh yeah, yeah, you know, I don't know if we
- 5:04Speaker 2: I don't know if we can do that. You know,
- 5:06Speaker 2: before I we do, I should ask the powers to
- 5:09Speaker 2: be whether I could do a go fund me campaign.
- 5:13Speaker 2: The argument is that at this point, Cono is taking
- 5:16Speaker 2: a bus to get to work, and he lives in
- 5:18Speaker 2: the IE, and he has no access to a car
- 5:21Speaker 2: because he works here at iHeart, So he has no
- 5:25Speaker 2: access to a car and he has no access to money.
- 5:28Speaker 2: But don't you buy a car.
- 5:30Speaker 4: Don't they call buses limos in the ie?
- 5:35Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah they do. So anyway, I'm gonna find that out.
- 5:38Speaker 2: And okay, I have to mute here. I have to.
- 5:42Speaker 2: I got to figure that out because I think, you know,
- 5:45Speaker 2: with a go fund me campaign, we may actually raise
- 5:47Speaker 2: a couple of dollars. CONO need a couple eighteen thousand couples.
- 5:54Speaker 4: Now I'm going to give money to a campaign when
- 5:56Speaker 4: they know that you're loaded.
- 6:00Speaker 2: It doesn't mean I'm not going to give money to
- 6:01Speaker 2: the go fund me.
- 6:02Speaker 4: Campaign, but nobody they're going to wait for you to
- 6:05Speaker 4: come forward and pay for it.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Now, I'm not going to pay for it. I'm not
- 6:09Speaker 2: gonna give I'm not gonna have it. Whole ten thousand
- 6:12Speaker 2: dollars out of your mind. I wouldn't spend sixteen thousand
- 6:17Speaker 2: dollars for a life saving medical treatment for my kids,
- 6:21Speaker 2: sixteen thousand dollars for.
- 6:22Speaker 4: God's sake, bumper of your BMW and raise enough money
- 6:26Speaker 4: for his whole car.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Yeah, but then you need a bumper, don't you. Okay,
- 6:31Speaker 2: I have to find out if we can do a
- 6:33Speaker 2: go I am I'm going to ask, because I'll tell you.
- 6:35Speaker 2: If we do a go fund me campaign, uh, you're
- 6:38Speaker 2: probably there. We're probably going to raise a good chunk
- 6:42Speaker 2: of the money for you, Kono. We'll see, all right,
- 6:46Speaker 2: Well I appreciate it that No, no, it's I you
- 6:48Speaker 2: know I never thought that year. No, no, you you
- 6:50Speaker 2: know we work together. We've been together for years. You've
- 6:54Speaker 2: never gotten a raise, you never will get a raise.
- 6:56Speaker 2: So true. I know it's how liberal of bill to go.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Don't worry about it. We'll get other people to pay
- 7:03Speaker 2: for your needs. Of course, of course he did. I
- 7:08Speaker 2: did I give you? Did I give you my kidney?
- 7:10Speaker 2: I did not. Oh, by the way, I just got
- 7:15Speaker 2: word from Michelle that they can absolutely do a GoFundMe
- 7:19Speaker 2: for Cono. Okay, can you? That's great? So now we
- 7:23Speaker 2: have management telling me and can you set up a
- 7:26Speaker 2: gofund me? I don't know how it was that happened? No, no, no,
- 7:31Speaker 2: if you can, someone's got to set it up. I
- 7:32Speaker 2: don't know. I don't know how it works. Okay, Cono,
- 7:37Speaker 2: I'll let you do it. Cono, you set up a
- 7:40Speaker 2: gofund me campaign, Well, I'm not going to do it.
- 7:44Speaker 2: I don't know how to do. I couldn't get my
- 7:45Speaker 2: printer working this morning. For God's say, Okay, someone's got
- 7:49Speaker 2: to set up a gofund me campaign and tomorrow we
- 7:51Speaker 2: start begging like I did for that stupid kidney of
- 7:53Speaker 2: yours you did.
- 7:55Speaker 4: What makes you think that you begged my kidney to
- 7:59Speaker 4: be inside me?
- 8:00Speaker 2: Because that's what I did. I begged for a kidney
- 8:03Speaker 2: to be inside you. Please please, like here, Neil needs
- 8:08Speaker 2: a kidney. Neil needs a kidney.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Please.
- 8:12Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, I'm gonna pull it out with my
- 8:14Speaker 4: bare hands.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Go fund me kidney campaign. That's done. Now it's the
- 8:20Speaker 2: new car campaign for Kno. All right, let's go ahead
- 8:24Speaker 2: and start with the news. I said hello to everybody,
- 8:27Speaker 2: and we are ready to go. And yes I did
- 8:30Speaker 2: say hello to you. All right, guys, let's do it.
- 8:33Speaker 2: It's time for handle on the news on this ever
- 8:36Speaker 2: lovely Tuesday. I have Monday out there, Tuesday, January thirteenth,
- 8:42Speaker 2: and it is time for handle on the news. Amy,
- 8:45Speaker 2: Neil and Me lead story. Supreme Court is taking up
- 8:53Speaker 2: what's being described as a monumental case about transgender athletes.
- 8:58Speaker 2: This one I really don't understand. And because the number
- 9:01Speaker 2: of transgender athletes that are playing on women's sports has
- 9:05Speaker 2: to be minuscule. But this is certainly a social issue,
- 9:11Speaker 2: and the issue. Can states bar transgender girls and women
- 9:17Speaker 2: from joining female sports teams in school and they're good.
- 9:24Speaker 2: They don't know. People don't know which way it's going
- 9:26Speaker 2: to go. There was a decision in October where the
- 9:32Speaker 2: court ruled that that law to strike down a Colorado
- 9:39Speaker 2: law blocking theramists, therapists or trying to use or trying
- 9:43Speaker 2: to change it young person's sexuality, or gender conversion therapy,
- 9:49Speaker 2: crazy shrinks, trying to tell kids there's something wrong with
- 9:53Speaker 2: you because you're gay. Well, the law that says you
- 9:58Speaker 2: can't do that in Colorado was over to So now
- 10:03Speaker 2: we'll see what happens, which way the justices go. It's
- 10:06Speaker 2: gonna be very interesting. And I think most of us,
- 10:09Speaker 2: even those people that are huge lbgt Q fans, which
- 10:14Speaker 2: I am, have been forever, you know, I'm pretty uncomfortable
- 10:18Speaker 2: saying transgender girls can't play on girls teams because it's
- 10:25Speaker 2: it's a huge advantage and it is body mass, different physiology,
- 10:33Speaker 2: more muscles, upper body strength, stout shoes, flannel shirts. Okay,
- 10:46Speaker 2: why don't we go ahead?
- 10:47Speaker 4: You couldn't have played US a women's sports team because
- 10:49Speaker 4: they have all those advantages over you.
- 10:52Speaker 2: That's yeah, and coordination too, let me yeah, absolutely, okay, guys.
- 10:57Speaker 3: And Arizona Senator suesg Seth. Senator Mark Kelly has filed
- 11:03Speaker 3: a lawsuit against Secretary of War Pete HeiG Seth, arguing
- 11:08Speaker 3: that HeiG Seth's censure of Kelly last week over his
- 11:14Speaker 3: role in that social media video that told service members
- 11:18Speaker 3: they have to refuse illegal orders violated its constitutional right.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Kelly participated in the video in November alongside a handful
- 11:30Speaker 3: of other Democrats, who again told military members not to
- 11:33Speaker 3: carry out illegal orders, but didn't say what those illegal
- 11:37Speaker 3: orders were.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Interesting on this one. First of all, First Amendment rights
- 11:41Speaker 2: are really limited when you're in the military, and you
- 11:45Speaker 2: can get nailed for doing a video that says don't
- 11:49Speaker 2: follow orders period, or don't join a group of soldiers
- 11:57Speaker 2: that being ordered to do something that is constitutional, and
- 12:01Speaker 2: then you get decide what's constitutional or not. But this,
- 12:04Speaker 2: heg Seth is arguing that what they did is sedition
- 12:08Speaker 2: that effectively traitorous and the President said they should be
- 12:12Speaker 2: killed for doing this, and as you said, heg Seth
- 12:16Speaker 2: said that they specifically said not to follow an order,
- 12:21Speaker 2: and that's not the case.
- 12:22Speaker 3: No, he said don't follow illegal order.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Right, right, he's going Now is he going to lose? Yeh,
- 12:27Speaker 2: he's going to lose because I think the court's going
- 12:29Speaker 2: to say the ability of the Secretary of Defense, secretary
- 12:33Speaker 2: of War is absolute.
- 12:35Speaker 3: Even if he's not in the military anymore.
- 12:37Speaker 2: He no, he's a member of the reserves, so he
- 12:39Speaker 2: can be recalled to the military, and he's being recalled
- 12:44Speaker 2: for the purpose of being demoted and reducing his pay.
- 12:49Speaker 2: That is the purpose of.
- 12:51Speaker 4: This, and jacking with his pension as well.
- 12:54Speaker 3: Yeah, oh yeah, no, he's going to raise it has
- 12:57Speaker 3: a senate pension.
- 12:59Speaker 2: You know what, you don't He's only been in the
- 13:01Speaker 2: Pennas Senate for a limited amount of time. It's not
- 13:03Speaker 2: like he's been there for thirty years.
- 13:06Speaker 4: How can they say if you have that qualifier, how
- 13:11Speaker 4: can of saying illegal order?
- 13:14Speaker 2: Right? Can they say? That's because they're saying what they're
- 13:17Speaker 2: saying is just making that statement is a violation of
- 13:23Speaker 2: good order and discipline in the military. Hegg set this crazy.
- 13:30Speaker 2: It is political retribution on its face, and that's what
- 13:35Speaker 2: he's going to argue, But no, I understand everybody understands that.
- 13:40Speaker 4: I mean, there's but you couldn't as a being in
- 13:42Speaker 4: the military, you couldn't speak ill of the President of
- 13:45Speaker 4: the United States because.
- 13:46Speaker 2: You have a hard time that that you would get
- 13:48Speaker 2: nailed for, because that's good order and discipline that you can't.
- 13:52Speaker 2: But you can say, don't follow illegal orders.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Isn't part of this though, that they were insinuating that
- 13:58Speaker 3: illegal orders were issued.
- 14:01Speaker 2: That's the argument. But insinuation, how do you nail someone
- 14:04Speaker 2: for insinuation? That's a problem. The day that we put people,
- 14:11Speaker 2: we reduce pay or convict people on insinuation, that becomes problematic.
- 14:18Speaker 2: He insinuated now, and this is the Code of Military Conduct,
- 14:23Speaker 2: by the way Military Justice Code, It's in the code
- 14:25Speaker 2: you can't follow illegal orders. They were simply parroting what
- 14:30Speaker 2: was in the code. And he's gonna lose. I mean,
- 14:34Speaker 2: he's gonna win. Except he's gonna lose because I think
- 14:37Speaker 2: the court is going to hold that the Secretary of
- 14:39Speaker 2: Defense has the absolute right to do that. It's like
- 14:42Speaker 2: the pardon. The president can say and does say I
- 14:46Speaker 2: think this guy is great, and I'm pardoning him, and
- 14:50Speaker 2: it doesn't matter that he took a machine gun and
- 14:53Speaker 2: wiped out an entire kindergarten class. Obviously it didn't happen,
- 14:57Speaker 2: but I have the right to pardon, and that's absolutely
- 15:01Speaker 2: and I think the Secretary of State is going to
- 15:04Speaker 2: be given that same kind of power or the same interpretation. Okay,
- 15:07Speaker 2: moving on, all right.
- 15:10Speaker 4: The man who drove the U haul truck into a
- 15:12Speaker 4: crowd of protesters in Westwood this past weekend, there was
- 15:18Speaker 4: that peaceful or seemingly otherwise peaceful anti Iranian regime demonstration
- 15:25Speaker 4: turned to absolute chaos. The driver was identified in booking records.
- 15:30Speaker 4: There is color or color Matta neet never mind.
- 15:36Speaker 2: He's forty eight.
- 15:37Speaker 4: He was arrested but later released on his own recognizant
- 15:41Speaker 4: because they're saying it was at worse, it was reckless driving.
- 15:47Speaker 2: So he plowed into he plowed into a group of demonstrators.
- 15:53Speaker 2: How I guess they're going to label it as an accident,
- 15:56Speaker 2: that it was reckless.
- 15:58Speaker 4: Well, you may argue that he he didn't plow. He
- 16:01Speaker 4: was driving in and they were attacking it because it
- 16:03Speaker 4: had good belief.
- 16:06Speaker 2: I figured the surrounded him, and.
- 16:08Speaker 4: Yeah, this guy on the car was trying to kick
- 16:11Speaker 4: the windows open.
- 16:11Speaker 3: He didn't kick the windshield in Yeah, so watch the video.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Okay, I feel better if I had known the story
- 16:16Speaker 2: a little bit. Uh, if I had really looked at
- 16:19Speaker 2: the story, which I should.
- 16:20Speaker 3: By the way, But you had trouble with your printer.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Oh my god. I'm still going through the rest of
- 16:26Speaker 2: the show, and I usually do this an hour before
- 16:29Speaker 2: the show, and now I'm scrambling. All right, let us in.
- 16:33Speaker 3: That's the message from twelve Democrats in the House who
- 16:36Speaker 3: are challenging a new policy put in place by the
- 16:39Speaker 3: administration that imposes limits on unannounced visits to ICE detention facilities.
- 16:46Speaker 3: Back in December, those same members of Congress won a
- 16:49Speaker 3: lawsuit challenging a Department of Homeland Security policy that required
- 16:54Speaker 3: a week's notice from lawmakers before they could go and
- 16:57Speaker 3: visit for oversight. Now they're accused Homeland Security of having
- 17:02Speaker 3: secretly reimposed the requirement last week.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Yeah, seven calendar days now, and how are they justifying
- 17:11Speaker 2: that because there's a law on the books. Well, Homeland
- 17:14Speaker 2: Security Secretary Christinomes says, because the money to pay for
- 17:20Speaker 2: these detention centers came from another bucket in the federal government. Therefore,
- 17:26Speaker 2: we have the right to say no to Congress. Okay,
- 17:31Speaker 2: explain that one to me. I mean, that's the dumbest
- 17:34Speaker 2: thing I've ever heard of in my life. But anything
- 17:36Speaker 2: to keep Congress from overseeing, and they have oversight duties,
- 17:41Speaker 2: you know, Congress oversees all of this. But this is
- 17:46Speaker 2: the Trump administration saying we're on our own and no
- 17:49Speaker 2: one is going to tell us what to do. So far,
- 17:54Speaker 2: they've paid attention to the courts, but we'll see how
- 17:57Speaker 2: far that goes. You know, the Supreme Court absolutely no
- 18:00Speaker 2: enforcement ability. You're aware of that. There is no policing.
- 18:04Speaker 2: There is nothing. The only kind of policing that the
- 18:07Speaker 2: Court has is the executive branch to further its orders.
- 18:13Speaker 2: And if the executive brand says no, we're not paying attention,
- 18:16Speaker 2: there's nothing the courts can do.
- 18:21Speaker 4: All right, This isn't about face, for sure. The US
- 18:23Speaker 4: Environmental Protection Agency is expected to announce that FEMA will
- 18:30Speaker 4: pay for soil testing. After all, they want to look
- 18:33Speaker 4: for lead, of course, and at least one hundred homes
- 18:36Speaker 4: that were destroyed and to eat and fire. It was
- 18:40Speaker 4: supposedly cleaned up by federal disaster workers. But as we know,
- 18:44Speaker 4: there's been questions about whether the job was done well
- 18:47Speaker 4: or not, And they have pushed back multiple times and
- 18:50Speaker 4: now they are doing this about face and not resisting
- 18:55Speaker 4: anymore to test the properties for this toxic substance.
- 18:58Speaker 2: One hundred homes though, and this is being done at random.
- 19:01Speaker 2: I mean, obviously they're not going across the board. So
- 19:04Speaker 2: it's sort of a pilot program. So how do they
- 19:06Speaker 2: choose them? Well, it's any meani mine mode.
- 19:10Speaker 4: Was there like a mathematical equation or something. They assume
- 19:13Speaker 4: that if you take a test, yes.
- 19:15Speaker 2: I'm sure, yeah, I'm sure if fifty percent are don't
- 19:19Speaker 2: have appropriate testing, or they weren't able to clean up
- 19:22Speaker 2: enough of the debris, so the toxic chemicals and the
- 19:25Speaker 2: soil have not been cleaned up. There's a problem.
- 19:33Speaker 3: This guy's at Jim stealing from six sick kids. There's
- 19:38Speaker 3: a group, Painted Turtle, co founded by Paul Newman back
- 19:42Speaker 3: in nineteen ninety nine. It's a year round camp that
- 19:45Speaker 3: offers free programming for children who have medical challenges. It
- 19:49Speaker 3: relies on donations from individuals, corporations, foundations. Well Now, a
- 19:54Speaker 3: former executive of the Painted Turtle has been accused of
- 19:57Speaker 3: embezzling more than five million dollar from the organization and
- 20:01Speaker 3: then also messing with computer records to hide what he did. Yeah,
- 20:04Speaker 3: And prosecutors say the five point two million dollars in
- 20:08Speaker 3: fraud happened over the course of his seven year tenure
- 20:11Speaker 3: with a nonprofit.
- 20:12Speaker 2: Organization nothing like in Besley money and taking money away
- 20:15Speaker 2: from kids who need its kids no less Yeah, Oh yeah,
- 20:20Speaker 2: it's just Newman's Own, you know, the salad dressing, which
- 20:24Speaker 2: is every kind. Is that? Yeah? Is that part of this?
- 20:29Speaker 2: And I don't know. I remember Paul Newman started Newman's
- 20:32Speaker 2: Own for the purpose of a charitable He wasn't going
- 20:35Speaker 2: to take any money. It's a nonprofit.
- 20:37Speaker 4: Yeah. I was wondering the same thing. I have no idea.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Yeah, whether that's part of it, that's kind of neat
- 20:42Speaker 2: that Paul Newman did that.
- 20:44Speaker 4: It's huge and to have it, you know, after he died,
- 20:49Speaker 4: to have it be mismanaged like this is vulgar.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Yeah, you're not kidding. Okay, we can do one more.
- 20:56Speaker 4: Okay, you got it. Video evidence do we have? But
- 21:00Speaker 4: do we not? The FBI said a court document made
- 21:03Speaker 4: public just yesterday found no surveillance, no other video or
- 21:07Speaker 4: anything like that of Border Patrol agents shooting and wounding
- 21:11Speaker 4: two people in a pickup truck during the immigration enforcement operation.
- 21:14Speaker 4: They're in Portland, organ last week, FBI interviewed for the
- 21:18Speaker 4: six agents on the scene. It did not identify them
- 21:22Speaker 4: at this at this point as far as who was
- 21:25Speaker 4: the one who actually opened fire, but agents told investigators
- 21:29Speaker 4: that one of their colleagues shot Thursday after the driver
- 21:33Speaker 4: put the truck in reverse and repeatedly slammed it into
- 21:36Speaker 4: an unoccupied car the agents had rented.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Since there is no video, they're going to have to
- 21:42Speaker 2: rely on witnesses and tell me which way witnesses are
- 21:48Speaker 2: going to go. Depending on which side of the coin
- 21:51Speaker 2: you are, You'll have those that are conservative and pro
- 21:55Speaker 2: administration and who believe in the immigration policy say they
- 22:00Speaker 2: try to kill these agents when out this woman tried
- 22:03Speaker 2: to go out of her way. Then you have witnesses
- 22:05Speaker 2: on the other side who are saying, nope, absolutely not,
- 22:10Speaker 2: it was not their fault. So I have the two conflated.
- 22:14Speaker 2: So witnesses me nothing. You know, if you have three
- 22:16Speaker 2: witnesses to a crime, you have four stories. Witnesses are
- 22:20Speaker 2: the least reliable evidence that you can get.
- 22:23Speaker 4: Well, you know, they refer to the guy driving into
- 22:26Speaker 4: the protest the other day as driving a deadly weapon.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Yeah with ye. That woman, Christine nom weaponized your car
- 22:38Speaker 2: and she's a domestic terrorist.
- 22:40Speaker 4: I'm not talking about that, Oh, I'm talking the news
- 22:43Speaker 4: that I heard referred to the guy who drew drove
- 22:46Speaker 4: with his.
- 22:46Speaker 3: Protest at the Iranian protest, the.
- 22:49Speaker 4: Iranian protest on Sunday. They referred to that as a
- 22:53Speaker 4: deadly weapon. But the woman who may or may not
- 22:57Speaker 4: have driven it towards law enforcement off, Sir I e Ice.
- 23:02Speaker 4: That was just her trying to get home to her kids.
- 23:06Speaker 4: It's all perspective, yeah, all of it. Suspect in an
- 23:09Speaker 4: investigation of a fire at the prominent Jackson, Mississippi synagogue,
- 23:15Speaker 4: I guess can confess. He's nineteen years old. His name
- 23:18Speaker 4: is Stephen Spencer Pittman, and the suspect set a fire
- 23:23Speaker 4: to Beth Israel Congregation. It's the state's largest Jewish house
- 23:28Speaker 4: of worship.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Neil, I'm going to step in. We're doing that story
- 23:31Speaker 2: at seven twenty. Yeah. Yeah, and so you're giving away
- 23:37Speaker 2: all the facts and making my segment irrelevant. Let me
- 23:41Speaker 2: explain how life works here. It's my job to make
- 23:44Speaker 2: your segment irrelevant, not yours to make mine.
- 23:50Speaker 4: This is in the news. Steck, sir, are you going
- 23:56Speaker 4: to trust you or me? Well, I'm number eight here. No,
- 24:00Speaker 4: we're not on number eight. We're on there's two number
- 24:02Speaker 4: seven's this morning. If you read the rundown.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Okay, fair enough, seven suspect synagogue, self loathing jew Okay.
- 24:12Speaker 3: Moving on, Apple needs Google to make smartphones smarter. Apple
- 24:21Speaker 3: says it's going to rely on Google to help finish
- 24:22Speaker 3: its efforts to smarten up its Virtual assistant theory and
- 24:26Speaker 3: bring other AI features to the iPhone. Of course, Apple's
- 24:31Speaker 3: been sort of behind in getting its artificial intelligence up
- 24:36Speaker 3: and running. The deal just announced will allow Apple to
- 24:41Speaker 3: tap into Google's AI technology. The partnership will drop on
- 24:45Speaker 3: the Gemini technology to customize a suite of AI features
- 24:50Speaker 3: dubbed Apple Intelligence on the iPhone and other products.
- 24:55Speaker 4: Apple doesn't like playing with others. They prefer to go out.
- 24:58Speaker 2: It doesn't just hand on this.
- 25:00Speaker 3: But it's so far behind in the AI they were
- 25:02Speaker 3: that Jamia was talking about, how I think of the
- 25:06Speaker 3: seventeen or six whatever, the latest iPhones were supposed to
- 25:09Speaker 3: have that Apple Intelligence, and they're just not quite ready
- 25:11Speaker 3: to yet.
- 25:12Speaker 2: As a matter of fact, We're going to talk to
- 25:14Speaker 2: rich about that when he comes aboard at eight actually
- 25:19Speaker 2: eight o'clock.
- 25:20Speaker 3: Yeah, see that, I just made your story relevant.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Bill, You did good for your job.
- 25:25Speaker 4: It is jeez. The United States has accused Russia yesterday
- 25:30Speaker 4: of dangerous and inexplicable escalation of it's nearly now four
- 25:36Speaker 4: year ward war in Ukraine. So the Trump administration is
- 25:41Speaker 4: obviously trying to advance negotiations towards peace and all of this,
- 25:45Speaker 4: and Russia just goes yet.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Russia is playing this huge game and it
- 25:52Speaker 2: just has no intention of cutting a deal with Ukraine
- 25:56Speaker 2: unless Ukraine gives up all of his land, the eastern
- 26:00Speaker 2: part of Ukraine.
- 26:01Speaker 1: You know.
- 26:01Speaker 4: The weird thing is is Trump thinks he gets to
- 26:03Speaker 4: know him, and then he opens up Putin and there's
- 26:07Speaker 4: a little smaller Putin, and then he opens that one up.
- 26:09Speaker 2: Okay, very funny. That's very funny. And Putin has figured
- 26:13Speaker 2: out Trump just keep on giving you accolades, just keep
- 26:17Speaker 2: sucking up to him. Yes, mister President, Yes you're brilliant.
- 26:19Speaker 2: Yes you're terrific. And Putin gets everything he wants. Now.
- 26:23Speaker 2: This statement was made by the deputy US Deputy Ambassador
- 26:29Speaker 2: to the United Nations. Tammy Bruce, who used to work
- 26:33Speaker 2: here at KFI. She was a talk show host right
- 26:37Speaker 2: here at KFI. I remember working with Tammy.
- 26:39Speaker 4: Oh yeah, she was a liberal the Tim and Neil Show. Actually, yeah, she.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Was very liberal. And then then she switched, well, then
- 26:46Speaker 2: became an ultra conservative. Yes, she's what you.
- 26:49Speaker 4: Call a law and order liberal.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Yeah she. I mean, I mean a lot of people
- 26:53Speaker 2: have done that in the world of talk radio. They
- 26:56Speaker 2: have moved to the right. Very few have moved to
- 26:59Speaker 2: the left. Matter of fact, I don't know anybody who
- 27:02Speaker 2: is now a liberal who used to be a conservative.
- 27:05Speaker 2: It's the other way around. So anyway, putin he's going
- 27:11Speaker 2: to tell us to pound sand then a quick one
- 27:14Speaker 2: before we bail out of here.
- 27:16Speaker 3: Amy Paramount is not backing down. Last week, Warner Brothers
- 27:22Speaker 3: board unanimously rejected Paramount's most recent thirty dollars a share
- 27:27Speaker 3: all cash proposal that included a personal guarantee by Ellison,
- 27:31Speaker 3: Larry Ellison's father, or actually guaranteed by tech billionaire Larry Ellison. Anyway,
- 27:38Speaker 3: so Warner Brothers is suing again. Now. They want to
- 27:43Speaker 3: know and get more information about the events leading up
- 27:47Speaker 3: to the Warner auction that culminated on December fourth. They
- 27:51Speaker 3: want to know details of that Netflix deal.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Now. Even though Netflix and Netflix board or the Warner
- 27:59Speaker 2: Brothers board has accepted the Netflix deal, Paramount is filing
- 28:03Speaker 2: lawsuits and going crazy. It has a hostile it's doing
- 28:08Speaker 2: a hostile takeover. And one of the things that happens
- 28:12Speaker 2: is I'm surprised and I don't know much about this,
- 28:16Speaker 2: but a little bit how unusual. That's what this show
- 28:19Speaker 2: is about. But usually it's a shareholder who files a lawsuit.
- 28:24Speaker 2: A shareholder of Warner Brothers would file a lawsuit saying
- 28:28Speaker 2: the Paramount offer was better than the Netflix offer, and
- 28:32Speaker 2: you're not helping us. You're hurting us the shareholders by
- 28:37Speaker 2: not accepting the more money. And Netflix is saying no, no, no,
- 28:42Speaker 2: we're talking about the board now is Netflix saying we
- 28:46Speaker 2: have the better deal? And Warners has already accepted the
- 28:49Speaker 2: Netflix deal. Okay, we're done, guys, All right? Coming up
- 28:52Speaker 2: a little bit wonky, a little bit of statistics that
- 28:55Speaker 2: I'm gonna try to unwonk, But how many people are
- 29:00Speaker 2: do now consider themselves independence? And I'm going to explain
- 29:05Speaker 2: that in terms of the midterms coming up and what's
- 29:08Speaker 2: going on politically, and what's happening and we're gonna have
- 29:11Speaker 2: a rip roaring good time, right right, This is KFI
