- 0:00Speaker 1: Here's more marks alone on seven to ten. Woo. Well, hey,
- 0:07Speaker 1: if you just tune it in now, you missed the
- 0:09Speaker 1: first hour. Remember it's nine to noon every day, nine
- 0:12Speaker 1: to noon. We do three hours now nine to noon
- 0:15Speaker 1: every day. So a lot going on, this just breaking.
- 0:20Speaker 1: The US and Iran have just signed you know, the MoU.
- 0:24Speaker 1: The Memorandum of understanding expired today, but they've just signed
- 0:30Speaker 1: an extension. How about that? An extension on the MoU.
- 0:33Speaker 1: It's the memo, Memorandum of understanding. I don't know what
- 0:38Speaker 1: the hell they were understanding, because during this memo of understanding,
- 0:42Speaker 1: everybody's shooting at everybody. Everything's going on. But it sounds good,
- 0:47Speaker 1: So why not extended? President Trump says, the strait is open.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Capable of really just destroying the whole place. We don't
- 1:01Speaker 2: want to do that. We have got economic sanctions against
- 1:05Speaker 2: them like nobody's ever had before. We own in the
- 1:08Speaker 2: true sense, we own the hormostrait. If we would hit
- 1:11Speaker 2: back one hundred times harder.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Yeah, So the problem is, if you want to go
- 1:17Speaker 1: to war, usually you go to war. I listen to
- 1:20Speaker 1: present again.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Capable of really destroying the whole place, we don't want
- 1:24Speaker 2: to do that.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Well, see, that's the problem. If you go to war,
- 1:27Speaker 1: you're supposed to destroy the whole place, supposed to just
- 1:29Speaker 1: wipe them out, win the war, that's it. But you
- 1:34Speaker 1: don't really want to do that, so that Listen, this
- 1:36Speaker 1: guy is a master chess player. In the end. Whenever
- 1:40Speaker 1: he looks crazy in the end, he almost always turns
- 1:43Speaker 1: out to be right. So maybe he knows what he's
- 1:45Speaker 1: doing here, and it'll take a little longer. I can
- 1:50Speaker 1: understand that. You know, you don't want to be Hiroshima,
- 1:54Speaker 1: you know that kind of thing, and then you have
- 1:55Speaker 1: to spend ten years rebuilding the country. Now, the problem
- 1:59Speaker 1: is everybody in Iran is basically on our site except
- 2:02Speaker 1: for the IRGC, the crazy lunatics running it. But apparently
- 2:09Speaker 1: apparently there are backdoor talks going on right now. Somehow,
- 2:14Speaker 1: back channel conversations are taking place. The White House has
- 2:18Speaker 1: confirmed that Trump is somehow reached these lunatics and there
- 2:22Speaker 1: are back channel negotiations.
- 2:24Speaker 3: Now.
- 2:24Speaker 1: I don't know who's negotiating. If it's Steve Whitcoff and
- 2:29Speaker 1: Jared Kushner, very nice, but this may not be the
- 2:33Speaker 1: negotiation for them. You need like a general Jack Keane
- 2:36Speaker 1: or somebody to go in and negotiate this thing. But
- 2:41Speaker 1: we are winning the war. Economically, we are absolutely destroying
- 2:46Speaker 1: the country economically. They've had absolutely no income for quite
- 2:51Speaker 1: a while, and inflation is like four hundred percent now
- 2:57Speaker 1: there in Iran. Just absolute turmoil there. Their currency is worthless.
- 3:01Speaker 1: So we'll see. But this could be the pattern for
- 3:05Speaker 1: a while. We have a ceasefire. Ope, we're at war again.
- 3:09Speaker 1: There's a ceasefire. Oh, we're back at war. It may
- 3:12Speaker 1: just go back and forth like that forever. And you
- 3:14Speaker 1: know what, who cares? Who cares? Not bothering anybody. You know, Actually,
- 3:20Speaker 1: if you look at all the polling focus groups, they
- 3:22Speaker 1: forget to tell you this, like eighty percent of the
- 3:25Speaker 1: country couldn't care less what happens in Iran. I know
- 3:28Speaker 1: gas prices are high, but if you're in New York,
- 3:30Speaker 1: they're higher here because of local, state, and federal texts.
- 3:33Speaker 1: It's about three eighty sometimes four dollars around the country.
- 3:37Speaker 1: It's a little high, but it's way below what we
- 3:40Speaker 1: went through for four years at Joe Biden. You know,
- 3:42Speaker 1: this attack at the Central Synagogue, this was a horrible thing.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Central Synagogue is one of the most important synagogues in
- 3:50Speaker 1: the world. It's here in New York on the East Side.
- 3:54Speaker 1: And it's also very important because they do video streaming
- 4:00Speaker 1: services for people around the country. You know, there are
- 4:04Speaker 1: people somewhere, you know, they want to go to worship
- 4:06Speaker 1: at a synagogue and there's no synagogue where they are, so
- 4:09Speaker 1: a lot of them turn to Central Synagogue because when
- 4:12Speaker 1: every service, they have a live video stream, so wherever
- 4:15Speaker 1: you are you can watch it and participate that way.
- 4:18Speaker 1: So on this past weekend, a lunatic gets in there.
- 4:25Speaker 1: I mean, do you see the guy too, A big
- 4:28Speaker 1: fat lunatic. You know, usually these mass murderers are looking
- 4:31Speaker 1: better shape or these lunatics. But this big fat guy
- 4:36Speaker 1: in a T shirt comes in and gets up and
- 4:39Speaker 1: starts charging up the aisle. Security tries to stop and
- 4:43Speaker 1: me punch his securities. Awful, awful, awful incident and horrible.
- 4:49Speaker 1: I mean, this is a Central Synagogue. There's no bigger
- 4:52Speaker 1: hate crime than this. Now, I'll give mom Donnie credit,
- 4:57Speaker 1: I guess, because he did come out and totally denounced this.
- 5:03Speaker 1: But that's all that yelling out there, A lot of
- 5:08Speaker 1: screaming out of the hall way. I don't know, somebody's
- 5:11Speaker 1: having a union meeting out there, I think. But Mom
- 5:13Speaker 1: Donnie really did put out a strong statement denouncing this
- 5:16Speaker 1: sort of stuff. Then now the rest of the time,
- 5:21Speaker 1: every other second of the year, he's the biggest anti
- 5:23Speaker 1: semite on earth. But he did put out the right
- 5:25Speaker 1: statement on this. Now you got some crazy Democrats, absolutely
- 5:32Speaker 1: crazy democrats, say well, he was a free speech, he
- 5:35Speaker 1: had a right to protest, a right. No, it was
- 5:37Speaker 1: an out and out hate crime. And this crazy democrat,
- 5:42Speaker 1: one of these lawmakers, it's not a crime. And he
- 5:44Speaker 1: was just simply simply speaking. Actually, I hate to break
- 5:50Speaker 1: it to you, it was an ex Mom Donnie staff member.
- 5:54Speaker 1: In fact, she runs the video agency that he used
- 5:57Speaker 1: for all those TikTok videos. And she said, and apparently
- 6:01Speaker 1: the guy was Jewish, so it's not a hate crime.
- 6:04Speaker 1: He was just lashing out. I would not call that
- 6:07Speaker 1: anti semitic. I would just call it speaking it. Well,
- 6:10Speaker 1: it is anti semitic. It is a hate crime. And
- 6:13Speaker 1: the guy's been arrested and charged with hate crimes, even
- 6:17Speaker 1: by crazy Alvin Bragg. His name is Larry Montees. He's
- 6:21Speaker 1: been charged two counts of assault as a hate crime,
- 6:25Speaker 1: two counts of aggravated harassment, one count of criminal mischief
- 6:29Speaker 1: as a hate crime. But again, she works for the
- 6:33Speaker 1: video agency that does the video for Mom Donnie. Her
- 6:37Speaker 1: company also did Bernie Sanders Brad Lander, so left wing,
- 6:42Speaker 1: crazy crazy coochs Hey. By the way, the President was
- 6:46Speaker 1: in Long Island on Friday, big speech, and he totally
- 6:51Speaker 1: denounced Letitia James and endorsed her opponent. Latitia James is
- 6:57Speaker 1: up for reelection. You can get rid of her an event.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Now there's a good chance of this because you know
- 7:03Speaker 1: it's tough in New York City, but it's a statewide race.
- 7:07Speaker 1: So let's all get behind her opponent, Saitha kamal ready.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Now this is going to be the only problem pronouncing
- 7:18Speaker 1: this name, so be the kamel ready, Well, just vote
- 7:22Speaker 1: for the Republican who's running against Letitia James. But President
- 7:26Speaker 1: Friday in Long Island, it's my great honor to endorse
- 7:30Speaker 1: her as the next attorney general, he said, between Kathy
- 7:34Speaker 1: Hockle and the most corrupt attorney general in the country,
- 7:38Speaker 1: Latitia James, New York has just gone to hell. Well,
- 7:41Speaker 1: Bruce Blakeman hopefully gets elected. I'm pretty sure he will
- 7:44Speaker 1: in November. And you get rid of Letitia James and
- 7:46Speaker 1: get a normal, legitimate US attorney. Letitia James bringing the
- 7:51Speaker 1: craziest cases, that case against Trump about his bank loan,
- 7:58Speaker 1: which was absolutely redic because remember there was a four
- 8:02Speaker 1: hundred and sixty five million dollar judgment against Trump. Now
- 8:05Speaker 1: an appeals court has thrown out that judgment, wiped it
- 8:08Speaker 1: out completely. It's gone. Hey, speaking of these crazy Democrats,
- 8:12Speaker 1: you know, there's this Brooklyn assembly woman. This is who's
- 8:15Speaker 1: in the state Assembly, Emily Gallagher. These kind of people.
- 8:18Speaker 1: This assembly woman starts yelling and screaming that shoplifting is
- 8:22Speaker 1: not a crime. Shoplifters have a right to swipe items
- 8:27Speaker 1: like soap and toothpaste. This is one of those bleeding heart, idiot, lunatic, socialist,
- 8:33Speaker 1: crazy nutshob Democrats. We should not make shoplifting illegal. She
- 8:41Speaker 1: actually says shoplifting should be legalized. Well, it's not shoplifting.
- 8:47Speaker 1: I mean, this is the way they think, and this
- 8:50Speaker 1: is the democrat socialist mentality. The just blurt stuff out
- 8:55Speaker 1: and then you never tell you what's next, what's after that.
- 9:00Speaker 1: If you legalize shoplifting and everybody could come in and
- 9:02Speaker 1: just take everything and not pay, what's next? Well, what's
- 9:07Speaker 1: next is the stores closed. They're not going to stay
- 9:10Speaker 1: open because they'll be losing a fortune every day. You
- 9:12Speaker 1: have to close immediately. You remember in San Francisco there
- 9:16Speaker 1: was a period where they did not enforce the shoplifting laws.
- 9:19Speaker 1: They decided not to enforce them, and everybody was shoplifting,
- 9:23Speaker 1: and everybody closed. All the businesses closed, Starbucks, all the
- 9:26Speaker 1: big chains, the drug stores, everything, and all of a
- 9:30Speaker 1: sudden in these parts of San Francisco, no stores, no
- 9:33Speaker 1: drug stores, they all closed and left. So that's the
- 9:36Speaker 1: problem with these crazy democrats, and they're just children. They
- 9:38Speaker 1: just yell out legalized shoplifting to fund the police. Just childish.
- 9:43Speaker 1: But they never tell you what's next, then what happens,
- 9:47Speaker 1: and then what the hell do you do about that?
- 9:50Speaker 1: So yeah, Trump really went after Hochel in that speech,
- 9:55Speaker 1: came out very very strong for Blakeman, and brought out
- 9:59Speaker 1: all the new FBI statistics. Crime is down now here
- 10:03Speaker 1: in New York. You're going to keep hearing about crime
- 10:06Speaker 1: way down.
- 10:06Speaker 4: Mom.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Donnie is touting that the lowest crime numbers in decades.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Crime the lowest level in decade. Yeah. The problem is
- 10:15Speaker 1: it did come down as far as shootings and murders,
- 10:18Speaker 1: but it's up and subway crime, it's up in robberies,
- 10:22Speaker 1: it's up in rape. So that's a problem. Now Luigi
- 10:26Speaker 1: Mangione making some kind of deal. He's got pretty good lawyers,
- 10:30Speaker 1: all the top lawyers watching the SAITE lawyers are brilliant
- 10:33Speaker 1: at what they're doing. Because there's no way out of this.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Luigi Mangione shot that healthcare executive on video. You can
- 10:41Speaker 1: see it every into Manhattan surveillance cameras and was right
- 10:45Speaker 1: over there on that corner and you can see him
- 10:48Speaker 1: shoot the guy. You can see him flee. You can
- 10:51Speaker 1: see him going to that alley with his backpack, change
- 10:54Speaker 1: his clothes, you know, because police have a description. They're
- 10:57Speaker 1: looking for a guy wearing this. You quickly change your
- 11:00Speaker 1: clothes and now you don't match the description. So they
- 11:03Speaker 1: got him. There's no way out of it. So he
- 11:06Speaker 1: pled guilty in federal court, hoping to go to federal prison,
- 11:10Speaker 1: which is a lot safer than state prison. And they
- 11:14Speaker 1: say in prison, you know, guys get attacked and used sexually.
- 11:20Speaker 1: They say a guy like Mangione, young, good looking, would
- 11:24Speaker 1: be a prime target. So he's doing this to go
- 11:27Speaker 1: to federal prison, not state prison. Now, this whole thing
- 11:30Speaker 1: about him being good looking, having groupies, fans, fans everywhere,
- 11:35Speaker 1: groupies all over the first of us. He's that good looking,
- 11:37Speaker 1: I don't know. He's kind of mangy looking, isn't he
- 11:40Speaker 1: kind of? I mean he's got that rough like Lenny
- 11:44Speaker 1: Bruce kind of looked to him. I don't know. But
- 11:47Speaker 1: here's the police Commissioner, Jessica Tish.
- 11:49Speaker 5: To those who idolize Luigi Manioni, Mangioni, I say this
- 11:54Speaker 5: violence is not a cause, murder is not a message,
- 11:58Speaker 5: and a killer he certainly not a hero.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Well that's a nice message, but you're talking to crazy democrats,
- 12:05Speaker 1: you're talking to crazy liberals.
- 12:08Speaker 6: The prosecutor, there are no accommodations or concessions, and we
- 12:11Speaker 6: are free to seek the maximum penalty under the law.
- 12:15Speaker 6: This was not a spontaneous act of violence. It was deliberate, calculated,
- 12:21Speaker 6: and premeditated.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Now, Manngioni, he seems to have some pretty sharp lawyers.
- 12:27Speaker 7: Like the thousands of people who've reached out since this
- 12:29Speaker 7: tragedy to share their own experiences, he believed that the
- 12:32Speaker 7: system had failed him and destroyed his life.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Okay, but it's not gonna mean anything to a judge.
- 12:40Speaker 7: Ess, it was a single tragic event. Yet he's being
- 12:43Speaker 7: prosecuted twice for the same conduct.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Good prosecute him ten times if you can. He's a killer,
- 12:50Speaker 1: a cold blooded killer. Hey, you know the Democrats have
- 12:54Speaker 1: changed the primary schedule. This is a big deal. You know,
- 12:58Speaker 1: in any presidential election, New Hampshire's always first. There's the
- 13:02Speaker 1: New Hampshire primary, there's the Iowa caucus. Well, they're redoing
- 13:06Speaker 1: the whole schedule, and New Hampshire's not happy. They got
- 13:11Speaker 1: moved to like fourth. They'll be like the fourth primary. Now.
- 13:14Speaker 1: They moved Michigan way up, so it's in the first five.
- 13:18Speaker 1: But the crazy part is they moved South Carolina to
- 13:21Speaker 1: number one. In the next presidential election for the Democrats,
- 13:25Speaker 1: South Carolina will be the first primary. Now. South Carolina
- 13:29Speaker 1: is where all the crazy stuff happens. You remember last time, well,
- 13:35Speaker 1: actually twenty twenty, it was all they had like twelve
- 13:40Speaker 1: candidates in the race and Biden was way in the rear.
- 13:45Speaker 1: And then they got to South Carolina, where a funny
- 13:47Speaker 1: business always happens. So the night before the primary, everybody
- 13:51Speaker 1: was ordered out of the race. They were told to
- 13:53Speaker 1: drop out, Pete Bootajege had to drop out, Elizabeth Warren
- 13:57Speaker 1: had to drop out, Bernie Sanders had to drop out.
- 14:00Speaker 1: They were all forced, threatened or bribed by the Democrats
- 14:05Speaker 1: to get out. So everybody resigned the night before, and
- 14:08Speaker 1: that's how Biden won. In South Carolina. James Clyburn a
- 14:13Speaker 1: lot of control there, He controls the Democratic stuff. In
- 14:17Speaker 1: Scout Carolina, he wanted Biden and that's how he got
- 14:19Speaker 1: the nomination. So they've moved this state up to first
- 14:25Speaker 1: in the primary. It'll be the first primary. And sometimes
- 14:29Speaker 1: you pick the rig state where you can control everything,
- 14:32Speaker 1: and that way you pick who you want. And he's
- 14:34Speaker 1: got the momentum here or she's got the momentum going
- 14:38Speaker 1: into the other primary. So that's the reason to do that.
- 14:42Speaker 1: AOC is now being talked about as the front runner
- 14:47Speaker 1: for twenty twenty eight, and then you get all that, well,
- 14:51Speaker 1: a woman can't win whenever a woman. Look at Hillary,
- 14:55Speaker 1: she was up against Donald Trump. She wasn't gonna win
- 14:57Speaker 1: against that. Also, Hillary is the most leezy awful politician.
- 15:03Speaker 1: She ran the world's worst campaign. She had nothing to
- 15:05Speaker 1: do with being a woman. There was one guy who
- 15:08Speaker 1: was one political analyst, and they said, it's not a
- 15:12Speaker 1: case of can a woman be elected? Will Americans elect
- 15:16Speaker 1: the first woman president? He said, the question is would
- 15:19Speaker 1: they elect the first moron president? Complete moron. That's the
- 15:23Speaker 1: problem with AOC, And we tried it with Kamala Harris.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Nothing to have been a woman. She's just a low
- 15:28Speaker 1: IQ drunken idiot. I mean, that's the reason she couldn't win. Hey,
- 15:33Speaker 1: it will take some calls. Next. Eight hundred three to
- 15:35Speaker 1: two one zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred
- 15:39Speaker 1: three two one zero seven ten.
- 15:42Speaker 8: Mark Simon Mixter, New York Now three hours every weekday
- 15:47Speaker 8: from nine till noone tr.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Hey, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 15:56Speaker 1: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two
- 15:59Speaker 1: one zero seven ten. Let's go to Stuart in South Carolina.
- 16:04Speaker 1: We were just talking about South Carolina. Stuart, how you doing.
- 16:07Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, that's why I called. You know, when the
- 16:11Speaker 9: Democrats want to run the prim right here first, it's
- 16:15Speaker 9: because of this guy Clyburn and Orangeburg. You know, I
- 16:19Speaker 9: don't want people to think that, you know, South Carolina
- 16:21Speaker 9: is a Democrat. I mean we're suddenly Trump state. But Clyburn,
- 16:26Speaker 9: Orangeburg is a very black city, high crime rate, and
- 16:30Speaker 9: he's the one that got Biden in and that's why
- 16:32Speaker 9: they want to continue what they did before. But Clyburn
- 16:36Speaker 9: is an absolute nightmare and everything is they're doing it
- 16:41Speaker 9: because of Clyburn, and in Orangeburg they will deliver solidly
- 16:44Speaker 9: for the Democrats.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Now, you're a law enforcement guy for years, right, Yeah, sure, yeah, Clyburn.
- 16:50Speaker 1: You see him on TV. He looks like a wonderful,
- 16:52Speaker 1: sweet grandfather type of a wonderful guy. But behind the
- 16:56Speaker 1: scenes he's the worst guy in the worlds All he
- 16:59Speaker 1: is is.
- 17:00Speaker 9: An absolute nightmare. He's a blubbering, blabbering idiot. And it's
- 17:04Speaker 9: just it's just awful.
- 17:06Speaker 1: His district just a crime ridden shambles. He does nothing
- 17:10Speaker 1: about it.
- 17:11Speaker 9: Couldn't Carolina exactly right, Yeah, that's true, very high crime rate.
- 17:16Speaker 1: All right, Well, thanks for calling. Good calling. Oh let's
- 17:18Speaker 1: go to Craig in South Carolina. Craig, how you doing, Hey.
- 17:23Speaker 4: Mark, I'm great today. I just got a quick comment.
- 17:25Speaker 4: I heard you a few above an hour ago talking
- 17:27Speaker 4: to some people from New York complaining about the high
- 17:29Speaker 4: gas prices. Yeah, gas prices as of South Carolina as
- 17:34Speaker 4: a Friday in South Carolina by regular gas for two
- 17:37Speaker 4: ninety four gallon.
- 17:39Speaker 1: I know, but at South Carolina you got nowhere to go.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Here in New York, we got places to go things
- 17:43Speaker 1: that do.
- 17:44Speaker 4: I go to Florida, I go to kid Yeah. I
- 17:47Speaker 4: was up in Virginia beaches, so a lot higher every
- 17:50Speaker 4: place else.
- 17:50Speaker 1: It's all taxes, yeah, it's all taxes to ninety a gallon.
- 17:53Speaker 1: All right, good, thanks for letting us know. Craig, take care.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Let's go to Norman and Long Island. How you doing good?
- 18:02Speaker 1: How are you Mark good?
- 18:05Speaker 8: I have a question for you. Is there any common
- 18:08Speaker 8: ground that the Republicans running against these crazies in New
- 18:13Speaker 8: York could make what you guys who lost like Espinal
- 18:17Speaker 8: and Goldman's voting.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Crew, why would you want common ground?
- 18:22Speaker 8: Well, maybe we can get them over to vote for Republicans.
- 18:26Speaker 8: Oh no, no, no, the Democrats are in Democrats anymore.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Well, it doesn't work that way. Common ground, you can't say, well,
- 18:32Speaker 1: all right, a little socialism is okay. There's no common
- 18:36Speaker 1: ground with those lunatics. And the good news is now
- 18:40Speaker 1: in New York City the demographics just lean to Democratics.
- 18:44Speaker 1: But around the state people are pretty common sense, and
- 18:47Speaker 1: you got a lot of like the most important thing
- 18:49Speaker 1: is independent voters. Democrats slowly but surely losing all the
- 18:54Speaker 1: independent voters who don't believe in defunding the police, who
- 18:58Speaker 1: don't believe in open borders, don't don't believe in any
- 19:00Speaker 1: of that stuff. Let's go to Terry in uh this
- 19:05Speaker 1: man of hawking? Did they say it right?
- 19:08Speaker 4: Terry?
- 19:09Speaker 10: That's it? And Democrats have the commedies and the Republicans
- 19:13Speaker 10: have the useful idiots.
- 19:14Speaker 4: Just come here legally.
- 19:15Speaker 10: You see all these flakes that are coming here legally.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Mark?
- 19:18Speaker 1: Yeah, Now where are you from originally? Terry Bronx, New York?
- 19:23Speaker 1: And how's the How's New Jersey? You like it there?
- 19:27Speaker 10: New Jersey? Well, the thing is about Jersey.
- 19:30Speaker 1: It's kind of quiet.
- 19:31Speaker 10: As you get older, you don't.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Mind why that turn by quiet? You know, trus.
- 19:39Speaker 10: Everybody sees the turnpike and Route nine. Yeah, but once
- 19:43Speaker 10: you get into the into the home neighborhoods and communities, it's.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Nice there, very beautiful. It takes you three hours to
- 19:50Speaker 1: get off the turnpike get to those neighborhoods.
- 19:52Speaker 3: But then is don't go, but don't go on the
- 19:54Speaker 3: turnpike in those hours when everybody's leaving the beach at
- 19:57Speaker 3: the same time.
- 19:58Speaker 1: Come on, all right, stop yelling.
- 20:00Speaker 10: I want le'd just tell you something. Your show is great.
- 20:05Speaker 10: It really is fabulous, and I think you should.
- 20:07Speaker 8: Be on twenty four hours a day, even though I
- 20:09Speaker 8: know you hate three hours.
- 20:10Speaker 10: You know what I'm saying, I'm mad.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Well, uh, actually, you could listen to me twenty four
- 20:15Speaker 1: hours a day. Just get the podcast. You can listen.
- 20:18Speaker 1: You can play it over and over again. You want
- 20:19Speaker 1: to hear so much, let's listen to Let's go to
- 20:22Speaker 1: Dennis in Long Island. Dennis, how are you well?
- 20:26Speaker 10: Good morning? More Listen, years ago when you would go
- 20:29Speaker 10: and guess up on the pump would be a list
- 20:34Speaker 10: of all the taxes that you had it.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Well, yeah, but they had to take that down because
- 20:38Speaker 1: it's embarrassing.
- 20:40Speaker 10: Well, there you go. They have the answer everybody's feeling
- 20:43Speaker 10: from us.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Well, it's just a tax you to death. Like you
- 20:46Speaker 1: just have a guy who just called from South Carolina.
- 20:49Speaker 1: He just paid two ninety a gallon. That's what gas
- 20:51Speaker 1: is there, But it's for eighty here. It's taxes, state taxes,
- 20:56Speaker 1: federal taxes, A lot of state tax in New York.
- 21:00Speaker 1: It's not just tax, but they put all these fees
- 21:02Speaker 1: on it. You know, this green scheme climate change. So
- 21:06Speaker 1: if you if your car has an engine, you get
- 21:09Speaker 1: an extra fee on the gas. If you if you
- 21:13Speaker 1: want to drive it, that's another fee. They just go
- 21:16Speaker 1: crazy driving up the price of gas. Let's go to
- 21:19Speaker 1: Richard and Bayshore. Richard, how you doing.
- 21:22Speaker 11: I'm doing well, mar good morning. You know when the
- 21:24Speaker 11: government announces the national average price for gasoline, they should
- 21:28Speaker 11: do it two ways. California uses nine percent of old gasoline.
- 21:33Speaker 11: If you subtract that out, the national price is well
- 21:35Speaker 11: below three dollars. Yeah, and I think that they could
- 21:39Speaker 11: bash Newsom at the same time as showing that it's
- 21:43Speaker 11: really not that bad.
- 21:44Speaker 12: For most of the country.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Yeah. But remember for Newsom, he's proud that he's charging
- 21:47Speaker 1: a fortune for gas because he's fighting for climate change.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Let's go to line one, line one. How you doing.
- 21:57Speaker 12: Oh Hi built from Newton, newbidy.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Bill, how are you doing?
- 22:02Speaker 10: Good?
- 22:02Speaker 3: Good?
- 22:02Speaker 12: Good? A quick question about ICE. I support them one
- 22:06Speaker 12: thousand percent, and I'm just wondering if you know how
- 22:10Speaker 12: they monitor the population of illegal immigrants, because I know
- 22:14Speaker 12: in places like obviously Patterson and Noyark. That's all obvious.
- 22:19Speaker 12: But Dover, New Jersey is loaded. And how did they
- 22:23Speaker 12: know who was where?
- 22:25Speaker 1: Well, they're law enforcement. They got all kinds of ways
- 22:27Speaker 1: of checking everything, checking who works where. Then they can
- 22:30Speaker 1: check to see who's a citizen who isn't. Now they're
- 22:32Speaker 1: supposed to start off just with the criminal illegals, So
- 22:35Speaker 1: anybody who's been arrested for anything, then they check their
- 22:39Speaker 1: citizenship status and then they go after them. Which it's
- 22:42Speaker 1: a good idea. Start with the criminals because if you
- 22:45Speaker 1: get criminals out of here, off the streets, you bring
- 22:48Speaker 1: crime down. And the proof that that's working, as the
- 22:50Speaker 1: President announced on Friday, the new FBI crime numbers show
- 22:54Speaker 1: a dramatic drop in crime all over the country, so
- 22:59Speaker 1: it's actually working. Hey, we got a lot coming up.
- 23:02Speaker 1: We'll get to the Sopranos. You won't believe what one
- 23:04Speaker 1: of the cast members now does for a living. And
- 23:08Speaker 1: we'll get to Ukraine and looks like Putin's losing. Looks
- 23:11Speaker 1: like Putin may have to enter peace talks. We'll give
- 23:15Speaker 1: you all the details coming up. We'll get to that
- 23:18Speaker 1: and a whole lot more just ahead. We'll get to
- 23:21Speaker 1: Mom Donnie and his Crazy vacation, and we'll talk to
- 23:24Speaker 1: Michael Goodwin, the greatest columnist in America. Coming up next,
- 23:29Speaker 1: It's The Mark Simon Show Live from the WR Life
- 23:33Speaker 1: Back Studios. Well, Michael Goodwin considered to be the best
- 23:38Speaker 1: columnist in America. It's great columns every Sunday, every Wednesday
- 23:43Speaker 1: in the New York Post and all his columns are
- 23:45Speaker 1: up on the New York Post website. And he's with
- 23:47Speaker 1: us now. Michael Goodwin, how you doing.
- 23:50Speaker 12: Good morning, Mark, Thank you, Hey, this.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Is quite a column. You wrote about the woke movement
- 23:55Speaker 1: and you said the woke fever has broken, the movement
- 23:59Speaker 1: is wounded. What makes you say that?
- 24:03Speaker 3: Well, look, I think the case in the Midwest where
- 24:07Speaker 3: Francisca harm lost the race and it was over tweets
- 24:13Speaker 3: and other social media posts where she called her canceling
- 24:18Speaker 3: Thanksgiving and defunding the police, and I think especially those two.
- 24:25Speaker 3: There were many others, but those two caught the attention
- 24:29Speaker 3: of a lot of voters who said, wow, you know,
- 24:32Speaker 3: we're for all kinds of changes, but we don't think
- 24:36Speaker 3: we're going to go that far. And so I think
- 24:39Speaker 3: what she did was she lost the middle and that's
- 24:43Speaker 3: an important task of how far can the woke agenda
- 24:48Speaker 3: attract the middle class, stable voters, stable families, and she fell.
- 24:54Speaker 3: Now it was a very close race, nonetheless, but I
- 25:00Speaker 3: still think this is a moment. And in addition, Mark,
- 25:04Speaker 3: you have AOC and uh Mamdani both refuting the idea
- 25:12Speaker 3: that defunding the police is a good idea, And so
- 25:17Speaker 3: I think that this is this is kind of a
- 25:21Speaker 3: moment where the fever has broken. It's not like they're
- 25:24Speaker 3: going to sweep through the country. So they're wounded, but
- 25:28Speaker 3: they're not dead. They can still do a lot of
- 25:31Speaker 3: damnages and are Nonetheless, I think this moment, when we
- 25:35Speaker 3: look back at it, could reflect the turning point where
- 25:41Speaker 3: sort of democratic voters and even the Democratic Party itself
- 25:46Speaker 3: wakes up to coin a phrase to the dammage that
- 25:51Speaker 3: has been done by the far left.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Yeah, So what makes you think they're not just backing
- 25:56Speaker 1: off the defund the police and a couple other things
- 25:58Speaker 1: just till after the mid term and then they'll go
- 26:00Speaker 1: right back to it.
- 26:02Speaker 3: Well, that's possible, but I think on the other hand,
- 26:07Speaker 3: it's also I think more possible, more probable that the
- 26:12Speaker 3: mainstream Democrats, such as it is these days, that that
- 26:17Speaker 3: part of the party will will see this as a
- 26:22Speaker 3: formula for disaster, that will have to see what happened
- 26:25Speaker 3: in the general election. Will l CID win in the
- 26:30Speaker 3: Michigan Center rates, for example, and there are other candidates,
- 26:34Speaker 3: of course, But I think it is possibly a moment
- 26:39Speaker 3: where the Democratic base finds its nerves and finds its voice.
- 26:47Speaker 3: You know, someone the other day mentioned the doll Clinton's moment,
- 26:54Speaker 3: you know, where he said that, you know, advocating violence
- 27:00Speaker 3: against whites by blacks were simply non acceptable, and that
- 27:05Speaker 3: was a big event for him to show that he
- 27:07Speaker 3: distinguished himself from the radicals in his own party. So
- 27:12Speaker 3: I think that's what we need to hear today from
- 27:16Speaker 3: Democratic leaders. Chuck Schumer won't go there, but so I
- 27:22Speaker 3: think the question is is there a mainstream moderate Democrat
- 27:29Speaker 3: like John Fetterman, for example, who will come out and
- 27:33Speaker 3: say enough.
- 27:34Speaker 4: We're not doing that anymore.
- 27:36Speaker 3: We're changing, we're changing the message. We want to appeal
- 27:41Speaker 3: to the solid middle spectrum of American politics.
- 27:46Speaker 1: Yeah, but I's been saying that for months. They just
- 27:48Speaker 1: don't listen to him.
- 27:50Speaker 3: Well, it's right, and you know, the sister Soldier moment,
- 27:57Speaker 3: No Clinton, I think is what we need for more Democrats.
- 28:02Speaker 3: This has draw the line. I think we may see
- 28:07Speaker 3: some of that in Michigan before this race is over.
- 28:11Speaker 3: I think we'll see eventually in New York City, which
- 28:15Speaker 3: of course is extreme by most measurements, whether Mam Dannie,
- 28:20Speaker 3: with his push against the middle class and destroying so
- 28:25Speaker 3: many institutions in New York, whether somebody will blow the
- 28:29Speaker 3: whistle on that. Look, a lot of people have left,
- 28:35Speaker 3: gone to Florida, another friendly of climes. But I believe
- 28:39Speaker 3: there is still a kind of silent majority here that
- 28:43Speaker 3: doesn't want to go that far. We haven't seen it yet,
- 28:49Speaker 3: but it has to find its voice if this nonsense
- 28:54Speaker 3: is to be stopped.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Yeah, when it comes to mom Donnie, we're talking to
- 28:58Speaker 1: Michael Goodwin. Some people think you don't need to worry
- 29:02Speaker 1: that much. As he's all talk, you'll get nothing done.
- 29:04Speaker 1: He's like the Blasio just talks, doesn't work, never goes
- 29:07Speaker 1: to the office. You'll never see the grocery stores, you'll
- 29:10Speaker 1: never see the free buses. So what do you think,
- 29:12Speaker 1: Maybe it won't be that bad.
- 29:15Speaker 3: Well, I wouldn't count on that. I mean, I think
- 29:18Speaker 3: he can do a lot of dambus market. I've argued
- 29:22Speaker 3: that there are two trip wires for a mayor that
- 29:27Speaker 3: we've seen in the last fifty years. One is the
- 29:32Speaker 3: financials this situation, and he's already playing with fire on
- 29:37Speaker 3: that in terms of the credit markets and New York
- 29:42Speaker 3: being too expensive to buy the bonds and everything. The
- 29:46Speaker 3: bonds don't do well. You lose money if you buy
- 29:49Speaker 3: New York City bonds.
- 29:51Speaker 1: The other one is grime.
- 29:53Speaker 3: Now, so far he has been pretty careful on issues
- 29:59Speaker 3: of violence and that sort of thing, but he hasn't
- 30:04Speaker 3: really embraced the police, and his next move maybe to
- 30:09Speaker 3: cut the police department somewhat. He vetoed the idea of
- 30:14Speaker 3: adding officers, but we'll see. I mean, at the same time,
- 30:18Speaker 3: he's very fortunate that Jessicatation her team at the NYTD
- 30:24Speaker 3: have organized themselves and gone after the hard criminals and
- 30:29Speaker 3: had managed to reduce shootings and other violent crimes to
- 30:35Speaker 3: a large extent. But that's always a very tenuous situation
- 30:41Speaker 3: when the mayor isn't dig on changing some of the laws,
- 30:46Speaker 3: so this could reverse itself. So those are the two
- 30:49Speaker 3: areas where I think a mayor gets to be Undone.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Hey, The good news is the city Council speaker, Julie
- 30:58Speaker 1: mening is pretty common sense Democrat. For instance, she's fighting
- 31:02Speaker 1: to get six thousand more cops. She should be able
- 31:05Speaker 1: to get that passed. Stuff like that, So wouldn't that
- 31:09Speaker 1: kind of keep New York together? Kind of counter mom, Donnie, I.
- 31:15Speaker 3: Have believed that Julie Mennon, as you do, Mark, has
- 31:19Speaker 3: the potential to do that. In my view, she has
- 31:23Speaker 3: been inconsistent, and I'm not sure how much support she
- 31:29Speaker 3: has within the council. She may have a majority or
- 31:34Speaker 3: she may not. So I think that she's kind of
- 31:38Speaker 3: feeling her way on these things, and theirs thought that
- 31:42Speaker 3: she very much wants to be the next mayor. But
- 31:46Speaker 3: I think she's going to have to make a more
- 31:48Speaker 3: substantial standing than she has so far. She said some
- 31:54Speaker 3: of the right things some of the time, but she
- 31:57Speaker 3: has nothing consistent and there's not much the point to
- 32:01Speaker 3: by way of actual legislation that would change the dynamic
- 32:07Speaker 3: in the city.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Yeah, oh, that's a fair point. Well, Michael Goodwin, keep
- 32:11Speaker 1: up the great work. Go read his column. Yesterday's column.
- 32:14Speaker 1: It's up on the New York Post website, and you
- 32:16Speaker 1: can read him every Sunday every Wednesday in the New
- 32:20Speaker 1: York Post. Michael Goodwin, thanks for being with us.
- 32:23Speaker 3: Oh it's a pleasure. Thank you.
- 32:25Speaker 9: Mark.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Take care. Hey, we've got a lot coming up. We'll
- 32:28Speaker 1: get to a daylight saving time. You remember the idea
- 32:31Speaker 1: of making it permanent, the President pushing that. Now, I
- 32:36Speaker 1: wish you had pushed it earlier, so we could get
- 32:37Speaker 1: this done by when do we go off daylight saving time?
- 32:41Speaker 1: October November something like that. But the idea would be
- 32:45Speaker 1: to make it permanent, and that way, in the worst
- 32:49Speaker 1: part of winter, when it gets dark, like at four
- 32:51Speaker 1: forty five, it would be five forty five. I mean
- 32:54Speaker 1: it's already getting dark like seven point fifteen now, so
- 32:58Speaker 1: present back on that. Hopefully he pushes that through now.
- 33:01Speaker 1: That would be good before the midterm. Stuff like that
- 33:04Speaker 1: would be good anyway. Don't forget that noon, don't forget
- 33:07Speaker 1: I'm on nine to noon every day. We start an
- 33:10Speaker 1: hour earlier. Now this show is now three hours. It's
- 33:13Speaker 1: now nine to noon every day, nine o'clock to twelve noon.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Then at twelve noon you got Buck and Clay. That's
- 33:19Speaker 1: a really good show you should listen to every day
- 33:22Speaker 1: noon to three. Then you got the most listened to
- 33:24Speaker 1: radio show in America, Sean Hannity at three. You got
- 33:28Speaker 1: Jesse Kelly at six o'clock every night, Jimmy Fayla, What
- 33:31Speaker 1: a funny show. You love his show. It's every night
- 33:34Speaker 1: now nine pm to midnight on seven to ten. WR
- 33:39Speaker 1: Mark Simon, mister New York Now three hours every weekday
- 33:44Speaker 1: from nine till noon on seven ten, double off. Yeah
- 33:49Speaker 1: where was I?
- 33:50Speaker 3: Oh?
- 33:50Speaker 1: Yeah? The president daylight saving time. He wants to make
- 33:53Speaker 1: it permanent. You know, it's actually called it passed the
- 33:55Speaker 1: House already. It's already been passed by the House. It's
- 33:58Speaker 1: called the sun Shine Protection Act. And it passed the
- 34:03Speaker 1: House threeh eight to one seventeen, so pretty much a
- 34:07Speaker 1: landslide there. Now it has to go to the Senate.
- 34:10Speaker 1: President Trump has his own name, but he calls it
- 34:12Speaker 1: the No More Changing the Clocks Act, No More Changing
- 34:16Speaker 1: the Clocks Act. So the Senate has to vote on
- 34:19Speaker 1: it now, and he's pushing them. It went to the
- 34:22Speaker 1: back burner there, but he's pushing them to get this
- 34:24Speaker 1: thing passed. There are certain states. Arizona never changes their clocks. Hawaii,
- 34:31Speaker 1: they never changed the clocks. It makes life a lot
- 34:34Speaker 1: easier now it only catches well. Then it's darker earlier
- 34:38Speaker 1: in the morning. Instead of getting light out at six,
- 34:41Speaker 1: it might not get light out till seven. And they
- 34:44Speaker 1: always used to say it's bad for the farmers, but
- 34:47Speaker 1: it's twenty twenty six, you know the farmers. They'll figure
- 34:50Speaker 1: out something. So the Sunshine Protection Act. He's pushing the
- 34:54Speaker 1: Senate to get it done and we may see it,
- 34:56Speaker 1: who knows when the Senate resumes. So we got a
- 35:00Speaker 1: lot to get to in the next hour. We'll get
- 35:02Speaker 1: to the Sopranos, we'll get to we'll get to Putin.
- 35:06Speaker 1: He's got a big problem. He may have to actually
- 35:09Speaker 1: give up in Ukraine, and we'll get to that and
- 35:11Speaker 1: a whole lot more. Just ahead, it's Mark Simone nine
- 35:15Speaker 1: to noon, nine am. It's a three hour show now
- 35:18Speaker 1: nine am to noon every day on seven to ten
- 35:21Speaker 1: WR
