Transcript
- 0:00Welcome to Worldview Matters, discussing controversial issues, discerning current events, defending
- 0:11biblical Christianity.
- 0:13No topic off limits.
- 0:16And now, here's your host, David Firazzo.
- 0:20Welcome friends, family and Christ.
- 0:22Thank you.
- 0:23Before I bring in today's guests, fearless, a fearless man and woman of God, before we
- 0:28start, I just happened to glance at our mug.
- 0:30I'm not selling this mug, because I think we're out.
- 0:33But it says, Worldview Matters on one side, and it says, keep speaking truth about things
- 0:40that matter.
- 0:41That's my tagline on the other side.
- 0:42I'm thinking, okay, I'm going to turn that side to the camera.
- 0:46I don't know if you guys can see that, but we are committed to continue to speak the truth
- 0:52of Christ and glorify God, stand on the biblical world view, and try to wake up the church,
- 1:00try to save souls and be all about the gospel, and of course, trying to impact culture
- 1:06for Christ.
- 1:07So let's bring in Mark and Amber Archer with fearless features, can't wait to hear about
- 1:13Mark's new book, and also a new project they're working on.
- 1:17But we've got some conversation to take place before that.
- 1:19Mother and sister, thank you so much for your time.
- 1:22Hi, it's going to be back with you, David.
- 1:25Good to see you.
- 1:26So I was going to say, where do you want to start, but we will get to the book.
- 1:29Let's just put it up there right now.
- 1:30This is due out next month, November, next month, it's called Compromised, a prodigal's
- 1:37journey home.
- 1:38This is from Mark Archer, and I'm sure Amber is going to have something to say about
- 1:43this as well.
- 1:45I know the creative process and the work of writing a book, it's when you finally birth
- 1:51that, you know, get it, you know, published, and then print it, oh my goodness.
- 1:57And it is, a lot goes into that.
- 1:58So I know your heart went into this project.
- 2:00So first of all, can they get it on your website and on Amazon, or please share.
- 2:05Yeah, it's only available right now on the website for pre-order, and so that's where
- 2:11you can get it.
- 2:12Okay, so it's due out the week before Thanksgiving, is when officially you will get that, they
- 2:20will start sending those out.
- 2:22So congrats on the book, Compromised, I love the title, a prodigal's journey home.
- 2:27So before we get to that, a lot to talk about you guys, since we've had you on, this,
- 2:35first of all, the Charlie Kirk assassination, the trans violence, your subject matter
- 2:42in a lot of your films, all of your films and documentaries have touched on biblical
- 2:49and biological realities and truth, which a lot of people, unfortunately, on the left,
- 2:57and even ignorant people, they just hear the talking points, they call it hate speech,
- 3:04as you are saying, there is a God, and he created two genders, male, female, and it's
- 3:11God, male, female, marriage between one man and one woman, family, civil government.
- 3:18That's the structure that God set up.
- 3:20So please talk to us about what started you on this path.
- 3:26You could have been doing films about anything.
- 3:29But you decided to work on this controversial topic, but we know it's so important because
- 3:36it is true, biblically true, and biologically true, and it's just insane where we're at
- 3:41right now, the delusion in our culture, whatever you want to say about that, go ahead.
- 3:45Well, I think you were asking, you know, how did you get started in this?
- 3:49And I think one of the things, as believers and prayer warriors, when you ask the Lord,
- 3:57these break our hearts for what breaks yours, you better be ready because he's going to
- 4:03ask you to do something.
- 4:05It's sort of like we have seen all over Charlie Kirk saying, here am I, send me, well, it's
- 4:10exactly the same kind of moment that we had.
- 4:13It's not something, like you said, we could have been doing any sort of films that we wanted.
- 4:17We didn't have to be doing documentaries and exposing these things, but honestly, when
- 4:21you look at it and see people who are just trapped by these lies, it does break your heart.
- 4:27It breaks our hearts because we know that it breaks the Lord's heart.
- 4:30We are all created in the image of God.
- 4:33And for people to be led so astray from what is true, it drives us every day to our knees
- 4:43and to help reach people.
- 4:45So Mark, I know you probably wrote some of this in your book, your brand new book, compromised,
- 4:51but what makes you tick?
- 4:53What is your why to do what you're doing?
- 4:56Share your heart on this, please.
- 4:59Well, leading into that, I think somebody who read an early copy of the book, she said,
- 5:09when she got done, she said, you know, if I were to describe this book in one sentence,
- 5:15it's one big apology letter to the Lord.
- 5:19And I think that's a good description for it because it's, you know, you know how it
- 5:23is when you're writing something and especially if it's an autobiographical thing, there's always
- 5:28that part of you that goes, nobody cares, they don't know who you are, they don't care.
- 5:34But it's what I've been prompted to write about because a journey that I've been on, I
- 5:40know it's not unique, but some parts of it are unique.
- 5:43And the fact that speaking of why we do these films, this book really is the why for
- 5:51why we do fearless features because it starts with me as a teenager and running from the
- 5:57Lord for 26 years and then, and then being just having my heart broken for what I, why
- 6:06was I, I couldn't find any meaning in what I was doing.
- 6:10I've spent plenty of time doing the meaningless drivel projects and, you know, the big movies
- 6:16and that.
- 6:18And to be honest, it's, it's empty, you know, you finally get to the mountain, you realize
- 6:22there's nobody there.
- 6:23There's another peak over there, oh, you're supposed to go there now.
- 6:27And it's just an endless cycle of, of want and waste.
- 6:30So why we do what we do is because we know the Lord has called us to do his work and it's
- 6:38not always easy, but, but the effect and the change that you can have for the kingdom is
- 6:44staggering when, when you're using your gifts and talents in the, in the creative arts.
- 6:50That's right.
- 6:51It's all the stories to reach people to, to, to inform them.
- 6:54Hmm.
- 6:55And when you're fully surrendered, when you're seeking God's approval, not man's, he will
- 7:01use you, he will use that.
- 7:03So I want you to talk about, I'm looking at the titles of the films again and, you know,
- 7:11it's interesting.
- 7:12My books are the same as your films in a way, thematically, and what's just the content
- 7:17is what you read about.
- 7:18I read about culture and, and the, my recent book, the assault on the image of God.
- 7:23So you understand what that was about them.
- 7:25My first book was eradicate, blotting out God in America.
- 7:29And then here's yours, your titles on your DVDs, on your projects, Inwood Drive, which
- 7:35the attack on life, the mind polluters, the attack on innocence, dysphoria, the attack
- 7:43on identity, title nine, the attack on justice and language.
- 7:48And the one you're working on now, principalities, the attack on truth itself.
- 7:53And I know you're going to get into spiritual warfare and that one.
- 7:56So because you're writing about these topics and you can share whatever you'd like.
- 8:00So Amber, let's go with start with you.
- 8:03When you started this, I know you got some pushback, even from the church, some would call
- 8:09it friendly fire.
- 8:10Why do you guys talk tackling controversial issues like this?
- 8:13But I'm sure you also have had some threats to some very serious hate directed at you guys.
- 8:18So start with you, Amber.
- 8:20Yeah.
- 8:21Well, much like what you see, especially if you're in the conservative movement, it was
- 8:26really sad over after Charlie Kirk's assassination.
- 8:29And then I was reading, people were coming out and close friends of his, even saying about
- 8:34how he walked away from donors because they told him he needed to tone down all of the
- 8:40Jesus stuff and get away from all of the religious speak and they'd be happy to fund him.
- 8:48That's the really incredible sad thing is we have run into the same problems over and
- 8:53over again.
- 8:54When we got the Mind Polluter's done, we were asked by two national Christian organizations
- 9:00to remove all references of Jesus.
- 9:02Wait, wait a minute, back up, back up.
- 9:07Did you say Christian organizations, but I think you meant to say Christian organizations?
- 9:12Yes.
- 9:13Correct.
- 9:14Christian, yes.
- 9:15And so.
- 9:16And so when we got done with dysphoria, again, those who have viewed the film and we're
- 9:23looking for distribution and hey, can we bring these into your church?
- 9:26Can we put these on your platform?
- 9:28Oh, it comes back with, oh, you know, can you just remove all references to Satan from
- 9:34the film?
- 9:35That's too harsh for people.
- 9:37They're not going to understand.
- 9:39I'm sorry.
- 9:40You obviously don't understand our ministry and what we're about.
- 9:43We're here to speak truth because that's what helps set people free is the truth.
- 9:48So, you know, it's, it's when you walk into this because you don't expect that, right?
- 9:56As Christians, especially if you're a Christian, you don't expect people to, especially from
- 10:01another Christian organization or from churches to say, we can't tell people, no, you're
- 10:09supposed to be telling people.
- 10:11That's what they need to know about.
- 10:14We've had screenings where we've had death threats, you know, at, on college campuses,
- 10:19actually just happen to be one of the TPUSA events that we were asked to come to.
- 10:25I mean, it's just, it's bizarre.
- 10:27People don't actually think that these things are happening and everybody wants to turn
- 10:31a blind eye, you know, stick their hand, because of fear.
- 10:34We cannot live in fear.
- 10:36The Lord does not care to fear.
- 10:39Let's talk about that.
- 10:40Then I want to toss it over to you, Mark.
- 10:41First of all, we, you said, you weren't expecting, I think we need to start expecting this
- 10:46or at least we ready for it as a possibility because it's not going to change.
- 10:51And again, I hope I'm wrong, quote me on that.
- 10:54But because of what we're seeing in the public schools, government schools, the radicalism
- 10:58K through 12, their ideology is so twisted and it starts with the mothership, the U.S.
- 11:03Department of Education, then the teachers unions and what they're being taught, the textbook
- 11:06publishers.
- 11:07I could go on and on.
- 11:08I'm running out of time.
- 11:09I don't want to just, I want to focus back on you guys.
- 11:11But Charlie Kirk, when he was asked to keep it more political and keep the Jesus part out
- 11:15of it.
- 11:16I remember one of his responses was, well, thanks guys, you can give your money to someone
- 11:20else.
- 11:21Yeah.
- 11:22So that could be tied.
- 11:23Yeah.
- 11:24It's all about Jesus.
- 11:25And go ahead, Mark.
- 11:26Now you share whatever you'd like.
- 11:28Yeah, well, on that, the people that were so critical of dysphoria, they hadn't even watched
- 11:37the film, right?
- 11:40They had heard about it.
- 11:41So our reputation had preceded us and they were asking preemptively, can you make a secular
- 11:47version, a secular cut of the film?
- 11:49And I said, maybe you guys ought to watch the film, the opening sequence of the film is
- 11:54me reading Romans one, putting visuals to it, right?
- 11:59And it was like this blank stare.
- 12:00I said, you know, I said, so let me put it to you this way.
- 12:04I didn't write the script.
- 12:05I can't just change it.
- 12:07And they were not comprehending it.
- 12:09It's scripture guys.
- 12:10I can't rewrite the scripture.
- 12:13That's what the world tries to do.
- 12:15And there's just a, an intentional disconnect with a lot of these guys.
- 12:21And they were definitely, they, you know, they were offering the world.
- 12:25They, we got million dollars, we want to bring you guys in on this, but, you know, you
- 12:29just got to compromise a little bit more.
- 12:31So Mark, we are going to get to your book, I promise.
- 12:34But this is just too fascinating.
- 12:36And in light of where we're at as a culture, and Christians who are out on the front lines,
- 12:42trying to recruit more soldiers for Christ and battle, you know, ready believers.
- 12:46This is, this is hard and this is very relevant.
- 12:49So when you're writing, now you're working on principalities, I know one of that, the
- 12:55aspect of that is spiritual warfare.
- 12:57I know you've got some more stories to tell.
- 13:00And I'm sure what happened with Charlie Kirk is, is just part of this overall battle.
- 13:05Go ahead and share a little bit about that.
- 13:07And then we'll dive into compromised.
- 13:08Go ahead.
- 13:09Well, I was going to say sadly about two weeks before the attack on Charlie and everything
- 13:17happened.
- 13:18And Mark and I actually released a podcast through, you know, Fearless with Mark and Amber.
- 13:22It's part of our platform and what we do.
- 13:25But we literally just, we made a podcast that said the most violent generation question
- 13:31mark because we're talking about all the trans violence.
- 13:34Because there is a pattern, a repeat pattern that is happening in America.
- 13:40And it's, it's festering in the schools.
- 13:43You look at the ages of these, these, they're kids.
- 13:47They are kids who are committing these violent crimes.
- 13:50You have to see it for what it is.
- 13:52And I wish people, you know, I don't know how else, I don't know how else to reach people
- 13:57with it because people are fearful.
- 14:00They don't want to acknowledge that it's actually happening.
- 14:04And most people sit and say, well, what can I do about it?
- 14:07And that's really where we're at is, is, you know, not understanding that, hey, I can
- 14:13get involved and use my voice at the voting booth.
- 14:17And hey, I can speak up at church, hey, I can educate my friends and family with these
- 14:24various resources that are available, Christian resources to point you to the truth.
- 14:29Yes.
- 14:30As they say on the air, while the truth is out there, it's funny, but people don't want
- 14:35to hear.
- 14:36I just had a conversation in the green room before we came out to do this podcast about
- 14:41the fact that we've lost in the American Christian church or too many churches, the
- 14:47application of, when Jesus said, you are the light of the world or you are salt.
- 14:54We are ambassadors for Christ.
- 14:56We are to make disciples, well, people go, well, even how am I supposed to do that on
- 15:00Sunday morning?
- 15:01You know what I mean?
- 15:02We've lost this application of we're supposed to be out in the world, not of the world,
- 15:07but, you know, in the world.
- 15:08So really quick, and I've got to get to some of this, these polls are coming out now,
- 15:14and this is just to warn us all that there's a shift, and it is all about worldview in
- 15:21America.
- 15:22Rutgers, 55% of Americans on the left believe a assassinating president Trump would be at
- 15:27least somewhat justified.
- 15:30So in other words, left-wing extremism is not just fringe anymore.
- 15:34ABC News, 87% of Democrats view Trump as a fascist.
- 15:41That's what they call Charlie Kirkman.
- 15:43Look what happened, friends.
- 15:44It's just a warning to where we're at.
- 15:46NPR, 47% of Dems say the rise of fascism is their top political concern.
- 15:54And then you go, and I'll let you guys respond, a full quarter of very liberal Americans say
- 16:00it can be justified to use violence to achieve political goals.
- 16:05And we should not be surprised by this, but this is where we are, unfortunately, in America.
- 16:12And we are not to back down.
- 16:13Mark and Amber, your quick thoughts.
- 16:16Well, when you say, when you talk about fascism, and when people, this is, for us, this
- 16:22is why when this happened with Charlie Kirk, and we both, we both spent several days just
- 16:28being angry, because we're looking at, literally, we've been making movies about this, trying
- 16:35to explain this to people.
- 16:38And dysphoria, and title 9, in particular, are still suppressed.
- 16:42Even the faith-based film distribution companies won't touch them.
- 16:50And we're still pushing those out.
- 16:53But in dysphoria, especially, we talk about antifa.
- 16:58If you want to understand why they keep talking about fascism, antifa is the antifascists
- 17:05that, so they're the communists.
- 17:07And they're the ones who have, they're, they're the violent denomination of leftism,
- 17:13right?
- 17:14They are communists.
- 17:15They're anarcho-communists, so they want chaos.
- 17:20Accelerationism, they want to create chaos to bring about the great reset, if you will.
- 17:26And so that is what they're talking about.
- 17:29Every time they're accusing someone of being a fascist, antifa goes all the way back
- 17:33to the communists rising up against the Nazis in World War II Germany.
- 17:38So you got, you got the communists fighting against the Nazis, you know, the communists
- 17:43and the socialists, so that's really two denominations of almost the same thing, totalitarianism
- 17:48fighting.
- 17:49And it was really interesting when you saw Trump just a few days after the assassination
- 17:54come out and say, and label antifa as an organized terrorist organization.
- 18:02Domestic terror.
- 18:03Domestic.
- 18:04I mean, to finally see what happened is incredible.
- 18:07Yeah.
- 18:08So Mark, how did your book compromise?
- 18:12You mentioned it earlier.
- 18:13How did that become the fuel for fearless features?
- 18:17And by the way, friends, the website fearlessfeatures.org.
- 18:21How did that become the fuel for what you guys are doing now?
- 18:26Yeah, I think what you're seeing today and what really drives us and when I talk through
- 18:33my story of how I got to where the two of us now are making these films that are nothing
- 18:40like the stories that I described in my early days of trying to break into Hollywood.
- 18:47But I saw it early on, I mean, in one of the early chapters I described doing my first
- 18:53feature length film and shooting a rated R-sexy.
- 19:00And I had justified it in my mind that it was okay and went along with it, but just how
- 19:05dirty I felt doing that, not more than about a year after that doing my next film.
- 19:12I was propositioned by a Playboy TV producer.
- 19:16They wanted to fund me, you know, because a lot of people don't realize how much of the
- 19:22content that you see that maybe even as family-friendly is actually funded by porn dollars because
- 19:28they have so much money that it's like the cartels.
- 19:32They have so much money, they have to put it somewhere.
- 19:34They want to return on it and they know that faith-based movies make money.
- 19:38There are faith-based films that are indirectly funded by porn.
- 19:46The filmmakers, I'm not saying that they all get into it knowing that, but it does exist
- 19:51and I attest to that.
- 19:52So to what we're seeing now in the way that bold Christians in the arts and broadcast
- 20:00and that need to stand up on this is because nobody can be more accurate in knowing how
- 20:09to fight back against these things than people who have been in it and come out of it.
- 20:15And so when I see people who have a story about coming out of Hollywood, coming out of
- 20:22the music industry, things like that, and turning their lives over to Christ and I identify
- 20:25with them because I go, that was me.
- 20:28And I've been a Christian since I was very young, tried to start off with good intentions
- 20:36to do my work for the Lord, but the lure of Hollywood lights took me off.
- 20:43And I ran after all of that and I actually quit filmmaking for three years and tried
- 20:49to give it all up.
- 20:50And then the Lord called us together back to this to do what we're doing with realist
- 20:55features.
- 20:56It's the same skills, but with the right mindset and when I came back into it, I told the
- 21:07Lord, I said, I am not doing this unless it's 100% for you because I know what happens
- 21:12when Mark chases Mark's dream.
- 21:14Right.
- 21:15Just follow your heart.
- 21:18Yeah.
- 21:19Exactly.
- 21:21I just told about dealing with the playboy people, right?
- 21:25That's where it goes when Mark's in charge.
- 21:27So, Amber, you guys get a lot of donations or a lot.
- 21:33Let's just say you run on donations and I know people can donate to you guys, fearlessfeatures.org.
- 21:41How is the funding for the new one, principalities?
- 21:45Well, right now all of, we're using all of the pre-sales to go towards principalities
- 21:53and also people can, this is the first film that we're actually giving the option for
- 21:58people to put their name on it.
- 22:00If you want to sign up and say, hey, you know what?
- 22:03It's like signing a petition saying, yes, I believe in standing for the truth and taking
- 22:12a bold stand in culture.
- 22:14This is actually the first one that we're letting people partner with us in putting their
- 22:17name on it.
- 22:18And so, we're just excited for anyone and everyone who's saying enough is enough because
- 22:24the thing is that we know is, especially for films, books and films, these are going
- 22:30to outlast us.
- 22:31They're going to go on for generations to come.
- 22:33Long after we're gone, there at least will be a testimony and testament to those who actually
- 22:41stood up and said, enough is enough.
- 22:44Stop harming our children, stop feeding them lies, stop running this country into the
- 22:48ground because that is not what we were founded on.
- 22:52Amen.
- 22:53Amen.
- 22:54I love, by the way, I'm looking at your films page and I hope friends you go to their
- 22:57website and check out some of these films if you haven't yet.
- 23:01But I love on dysphoria, the truth will ruin the experiment.
- 23:07Oh, that's scribbled out.
- 23:09The truth will ruin the, and then the truth will set you free.
- 23:12Yeah, go ahead.
- 23:13There's a whole story behind why that is.
- 23:15Go ahead.
- 23:16Oh, yeah.
- 23:17So, one of the stories that we're telling dysphoria and I should mention too, our first
- 23:21two films, Inwood Drive and the Mind polluters are actually available on Prime Video.
- 23:25On Amazon Prime.
- 23:26On Amazon Prime.
- 23:27Okay.
- 23:28So, you can watch the first two there.
- 23:32dysphoria and title nine, you still have to watch on our website.
- 23:35The truth will ruin the experiment is actually a quote from the David Rimer story, which
- 23:41we talk about in dysphoria.
- 23:43David Rimer was the first patient, if you will, of Dr. John Money, who was pretty much
- 23:52the father of the transgender movement.
- 23:55He was a disciple of Alfred Kinsey.
- 23:57Yep.
- 23:58Dr. John Money tried to convince this young boy that he was actually a girl.
- 24:06He had gone in for his circumcision when he was just a few days, you know, eight days
- 24:10old or so.
- 24:12And there was an accident and he was damaged.
- 24:15And so they decided that they were going to take him to see Dr. John Money.
- 24:21And money said, hey, because they were twin boys, one was damaged, the other wasn't.
- 24:28And so this was the grand experiment to see if nature over nurture or nurture over nature.
- 24:34What works?
- 24:35And so we talk about this story and that line, the truth will ruin the experiment is actually
- 24:42directly quoted from Dr. John Money in a letter response to David Rimer's parents, because
- 24:50they wrote to him and said, you know, David was getting old enough and he was realizing
- 24:55that the truth and they said, shouldn't we just tell him the truth?
- 24:59And John Money said, the truth will ruin the experiment.
- 25:03That's what that is.
- 25:04It's 100 won't true.
- 25:06And we talk about it at length and disorder.
- 25:09Okay.
- 25:10So I know we want to talk about compromised and there's just so much.
- 25:15But one of the questions I was going to ask you is, how can the book compromised and
- 25:20your films be used by churches as discipleship tools?
- 25:23But I think the more accurate question with just two minutes left here, how can we get
- 25:29these in more churches to wake up more pastors and Christians?
- 25:34So answer that however you want to.
- 25:36Go ahead.
- 25:37Well, what we found is it's really individuals who take it to their elderboard leadership
- 25:44and just say, hey, we would really love to bring this to our church.
- 25:49Right now we're in the process of working on Bible studies to go along with these for
- 25:54people to sit down and do it in group studies.
- 25:58We've got, you know, just one sheet handouts for each of the screenings for each of the
- 26:04films that are available when just contact us through our website, through our contact
- 26:10page.
- 26:11And we would be happy to bring the film to you if you're locally around us or help set
- 26:18you up so that you can run a screening yourself and get your community educated and
- 26:23involved.
- 26:24Or if you're in Colorado, we're bringing dysphoria to Colorado in October.
- 26:30October.
- 26:31Why do you have to put me on the spot?
- 26:33I don't have my calendar.
- 26:34Just without.
- 26:35But yeah.
- 26:36Or 29th.
- 26:37Yeah.
- 26:38Clown world Colorado.
- 26:39We're bringing dysphoria.
- 26:40Okay.
- 26:41And I think I've seen whenever you guys do get a screening set up for a church, I think
- 26:46I've seen that.
- 26:47Is it on Instagram or your Facebook page?
- 26:49Yes.
- 26:50On both.
- 26:51We share it through social media.
- 26:52Okay.
- 26:53So we'll know.
- 26:54Okay.
- 26:55Guys, I'm so thankful for what you do.
- 26:56And I want to just encourage everybody watching and listening to pray for Mark and
- 27:01Amber.
- 27:02Please pray for Mark and Amber.
- 27:04Important work.
- 27:06And Charlie Kirk talked about you, male, female, God, the creative order and it's not popular
- 27:13today and it is unfortunately framed as hate speech, but we will continue to take the
- 27:17hits for the glory of God and to stand on the truth of the biblical world of you guys.
- 27:22Thank you for all you do.
- 27:23Lord willing.
- 27:24We'll do this again.
- 27:25Thank you.
- 27:26I appreciate it.
- 27:27Good success on the book.
- 27:28Compromised Mark.
- 27:29Again, friends, fearlessfeatures.org.
- 27:31Amber, Mark.
- 27:32Blessings.
- 27:33Both of you.
- 27:34Thank you.
- 27:35Thanks.
- 27:36All right, guys.
- 27:37Again, we've got to get these projects.
- 27:39Two Christians that can maybe introduce them to their pastor at church later so we can
- 27:44get the information out there.
- 27:46As you know, it's censored and suppressed in so many ways, but God bless you.
- 27:50And as always, keep speaking the truth about things that matter.
