- 1:41Speaker 2: and you enjoyed them, made sure you see this before
- 1:44Speaker 2: anyone talks to you, before anyone has any chance to
- 1:47Speaker 2: spoil anything about it to you, because it goes dizzound.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Listen early before we start jumping into things. Just so
- 1:57Speaker 3: everyone knows. This shit drops Mark fourth on Disney Plus.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Right as ben Iman said this, I have to reiterate
- 2:05Speaker 3: that March fourth, meaning get your ass off of social
- 2:10Speaker 3: media if you not watching it the day of, because
- 2:13Speaker 3: niggas will ruin it all.
- 2:15Speaker 5: And from what we've.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Seen in the first two episodes, you do not want
- 2:18Speaker 3: this shit ruined at all.
- 2:20Speaker 2: You do not want the first episode ruined. You don't
- 2:23Speaker 2: want minutes ruined. Facts facts, literally literally. I was sitting
- 2:32Speaker 2: there watching the show. I will say this. I was
- 2:33Speaker 2: sitting there watching the first episode. The first few minutes.
- 2:36Speaker 2: I was like, Okay, this is dope, but also I
- 2:39Speaker 2: was like, it doesn't really feel like the old shit
- 2:41Speaker 2: feels a big goofy and then it maybe like foae
- 2:43Speaker 2: minutes in and I'm like, what the fuck.
- 2:45Speaker 1: And then it was like, oh my god, this is
- 2:48Speaker 1: the best ever. Oh fucking hell.
- 2:53Speaker 4: And then you know, all right, no, I see, I can't.
- 2:56Speaker 2: I almost I was talking to Joey this tonight and
- 2:58Speaker 2: I was trying to tell him without telling them, and
- 3:01Speaker 2: I was trying to make a reference to something else
- 3:02Speaker 2: and I didn't make that reference. And I'm not gonna
- 3:04Speaker 2: make that reference here. But anyway, I had to rewind,
- 3:07Speaker 2: walk out of the room, chill out for a second,
- 3:10Speaker 2: you know, be like, well, maybe I understand.
- 3:12Speaker 4: I didn't see that, you know, And then I came
- 3:14Speaker 4: back in. I was like, oh, no, I saw that.
- 3:17Speaker 2: And then I finished the episode, and I finished the
- 3:19Speaker 2: second one, and we're gonna talk all about it other
- 3:22Speaker 2: than that. We ain't gonna spoil nothing in this but
- 3:26Speaker 2: off top, you know, let's just give overall reactions to it.
- 3:29Speaker 2: I thought first two episodes were we're probably passed a minute, right,
- 3:35Speaker 2: fucking fantastic. I got to watch for them YouTube senceens
- 3:39Speaker 2: out there, you know, I mean.
- 3:41Speaker 4: Freaking fantastic, y'all.
- 3:43Speaker 2: I I expected good, you know, I knew that they
- 3:47Speaker 2: were like, you know, everyone is well if you're you know,
- 3:50Speaker 2: terminally online like we are You've heard a lot about
- 3:52Speaker 2: the production behind this, how they started off one way
- 3:56Speaker 2: and it was more like a courtroom drama version of Daredevil.
- 3:59Speaker 2: And they saw the episodes and Marvel was like nah
- 4:02Speaker 2: and canned everybody and brought back more of the original
- 4:05Speaker 2: people behind it. The new showrunner was like, yo, I'm
- 4:08Speaker 2: not doing it because they didn't even have Foggy and
- 4:11Speaker 2: Karen in it. New showrunner was like, yo, I'm not
- 4:14Speaker 2: doing it unless y'all butt Foggy. I mean, I don't
- 4:16Speaker 2: even know how they got that far, you know, to
- 4:18Speaker 2: shoot episodes and not have Foggy and Karen. But anyway, yeah,
- 4:21Speaker 2: they were like, I'm not doing it without Foggy and Karen.
- 4:24Speaker 2: So boom, Foggy and Karen come back. Everybody from the
- 4:28Speaker 2: original comeback. John Parenthal was playing the Punisher all you know,
- 4:32Speaker 2: original cast, a lot of the original crew, etc. Are back,
- 4:36Speaker 2: So I expect the good things, you know, and it
- 4:40Speaker 2: was more than good, Like it's I mean, we can
- 4:45Speaker 2: talk about my man's you know, of Vincent playing the
- 4:48Speaker 2: Kingpin and just like legendary casting. And also you really
- 4:53Speaker 2: got to give it to Charlie cox Ao because like
- 4:57Speaker 2: he is a perfection Matt Murdoch, they come on man
- 5:01Speaker 2: like that dude is like, it's just like I've never
- 5:06Speaker 2: This is for once I can say I've never been
- 5:08Speaker 2: the biggest dared Al fan. I've read a lot of
- 5:10Speaker 2: his stuff, you know, over the years. Shout out to
- 5:13Speaker 2: Ando since he who did a classic There to a Run,
- 5:16Speaker 2: But he was always his characters, always did his ass,
- 5:18Speaker 2: kid and I just never could get into it. But
- 5:21Speaker 2: the show has been one of my favorites, and I
- 5:24Speaker 2: know how true they are to it because as we see,
- 5:27Speaker 2: you know, throughout the first three seasons, he was always
- 5:29Speaker 2: geting his as kit and then you know, coming back
- 5:32Speaker 2: and you know, eventually winning and just fighting on being the.
- 5:35Speaker 4: Man without fear.
- 5:36Speaker 3: So yeah, the first two episodes darre double born again.
- 5:40Speaker 3: These first episodes hard. Let these niggas cook, let them
- 5:47Speaker 3: do whatever the fuck they want.
- 5:48Speaker 5: The streets is back, Marvel back with this shit. Yeah,
- 5:52Speaker 5: I fucking was living. This shit goes so hard.
- 6:00Speaker 3: And not only is it a true predecessor continuance of
- 6:07Speaker 3: the stories that we knew from Netflix, it takes another level.
- 6:11Speaker 5: And I thought that wasn't possible.
- 6:13Speaker 3: Because Netflix was like the first time you really saw
- 6:14Speaker 3: them industries getting gritty, like really throwing hands, like really
- 6:20Speaker 3: you seeing blood, like you really you see shit? Go
- 6:22Speaker 3: you see blood, my nigga, to say the least.
- 6:27Speaker 5: But you see that you.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Everything you fucking wanted out of a Daredevil series is
- 6:34Speaker 3: fucking here. It's here, And I could I could say
- 6:36Speaker 3: that with confidence. I know it's only quote two episodes
- 6:40Speaker 3: and from MIAMDB is saying it's eighteen episodes. No, no, I
- 6:44Speaker 3: don't know that's right. That's not one hundred percent truth.
- 6:47Speaker 4: It's eight for this eight eight or nine for the season.
- 6:51Speaker 5: For the season.
- 6:52Speaker 4: Yeah, it's we're going.
- 6:54Speaker 3: To be doing something, and it's real rist and they're
- 6:56Speaker 3: gonna be doing something however common there's material there. Okay,
- 6:59Speaker 3: there's a lot more there there. There's a lot more
- 7:02Speaker 3: to come. That's my only point out of a lot
- 7:06Speaker 3: more to come. This little bit that I saw, y'all
- 7:08Speaker 3: got it, y'all, everything you fucking want is here.
- 7:11Speaker 5: They did this right, and.
- 7:13Speaker 3: I was so pleased. I was so thrilled. I'm satisfied
- 7:18Speaker 3: in the word of Ayaa. Like I was screaming. And
- 7:23Speaker 3: I mentioned the first fifteen minutes for a reason. Do
- 7:28Speaker 3: not have any fucking distractions when y'all go into watching
- 7:31Speaker 3: this show the first fucking episode, yes, because it's the
- 7:36Speaker 3: new you know, the return of Der to Mother. But
- 7:38Speaker 3: it's critical that you see where they're going with this
- 7:41Speaker 3: because this is what what in my head makes things
- 7:45Speaker 3: like your friendly neighborhood spider Man work, you bringing the
- 7:48Speaker 3: familiarity into something new. And this is what Daredevil Born
- 7:53Speaker 3: Again does. It's something new, but it's bringing enough of
- 7:56Speaker 3: familiarity that you're locked. You are locked from jump and
- 8:01Speaker 3: they're still giving you a new approach that I mean
- 8:04Speaker 3: when he said that, oh, it look kind of different
- 8:06Speaker 3: and with they are fucking with you.
- 8:09Speaker 5: Yeah, thirty seconds they're fucking with you.
- 8:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:12Speaker 2: And even in those thirty seconds, like the opening shot
- 8:15Speaker 2: is really ill, oh my, and it ties into like
- 8:19Speaker 2: the ending shot, so it's really crazy how well that
- 8:23Speaker 2: was done. And then it gets to this, like after
- 8:27Speaker 2: that opening shot, there's like some goofiness. But it reminds
- 8:30Speaker 2: me that there's this roots track where quest Love talks
- 8:32Speaker 2: about that, like in liner notes where when you listen
- 8:35Speaker 2: to the track, I can't remember the name of it.
- 8:36Speaker 2: It's like third or fourth album, but it starts off
- 8:39Speaker 2: He was talking about how that's when he finally realized
- 8:41Speaker 2: how to get drums.
- 8:42Speaker 4: You know, they're like not like real hip hop drums,
- 8:45Speaker 4: and but when.
- 8:45Speaker 2: You listen to track, the first thirty seconds, the drums
- 8:48Speaker 2: are like this shit ain't knocking.
- 8:50Speaker 4: And then them shits come in. After the first thirty seconds,
- 8:54Speaker 4: you're like, oh my god, nigga, you're singing it out.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Yeah, And that was like, just like this show. It's
- 9:00Speaker 2: like the first thirty seconds, first two minutes maybe I
- 9:03Speaker 2: was like.
- 9:03Speaker 4: What's going on here? This is scene?
- 9:06Speaker 3: And then there I'm gonna go from like the different elements, the.
- 9:15Speaker 5: The picture, the images.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Everything is clean, cinematography, cinematography, everything's good.
- 9:20Speaker 5: You can fucking see ship.
- 9:22Speaker 3: Yes it's nighttime, but you can see Okay, it's not dark,
- 9:25Speaker 3: you can't see ship. You don't got to turn the
- 9:27Speaker 3: contrast on your screen. You can fucking see this, okay.
- 9:29Speaker 3: And I'm sure, like I said, we're seeing it a
- 9:30Speaker 3: bit early. They may do some more correction by the
- 9:33Speaker 3: time y'all see it. But the point is it looks good.
- 9:36Speaker 5: Just from looks. It look good. Suit look good, people
- 9:39Speaker 5: look good. You can see it.
- 9:42Speaker 3: Action there, fucking choreography, fight stunt.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Real fake, live camera, all there all, They're like, it's yeah,
- 9:58Speaker 2: as a big I mean a lot of the fight
- 10:01Speaker 2: scenes and there's not even that many in the first two.
- 10:04Speaker 2: You know, it's well done where it's like when the
- 10:06Speaker 2: violence is there, the violence is there.
- 10:09Speaker 3: It is there, buddy, listen, there is one tiny thing
- 10:14Speaker 3: that I saw again, it was like, just like, CG,
- 10:18Speaker 3: this's a couple of things.
- 10:19Speaker 5: I'm just like, maybe because it's early, they need to
- 10:20Speaker 5: clean that up.
- 10:21Speaker 4: But they're like, I'm just we'll talk about this as
- 10:25Speaker 4: the spoiler.
- 10:25Speaker 2: But I know, well, I think we're probably on the
- 10:27Speaker 2: same point because I've watched that part of a couple
- 10:29Speaker 2: of times.
- 10:31Speaker 4: A little goofy.
- 10:31Speaker 3: But but I want I just want to be clear.
- 10:33Speaker 3: So some people like, oh, y'all glazing. No, there's there's
- 10:37Speaker 3: maybe a tiny bit mistake. Hopefully they fix that mistake
- 10:39Speaker 3: that they don't y'all know what we're talking about soon enough.
- 10:41Speaker 5: Nope, this shit got it.
- 10:43Speaker 3: In terms of choreography, stunts, in terms of picture direction,
- 10:48Speaker 3: in terms of dialogue and writing.
- 10:52Speaker 4: Yeah, the episode, character development.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Capture development. The episode is about an hour long, fifty.
- 10:58Speaker 4: Forty six to like fifty four, I think forty eight.
- 11:02Speaker 5: The first fifty something like that.
- 11:04Speaker 3: Yeah, so so under a little bit under hour, but
- 11:06Speaker 3: you get a full, like a very needy story, full, very.
- 11:10Speaker 5: Full pacing questions about our thoughts about pacing.
- 11:17Speaker 4: Pretty well done.
- 11:18Speaker 2: Like the story is moving along, you know, we got
- 11:20Speaker 2: two episodes in themes are moving, themes are being revealed.
- 11:25Speaker 2: There's a lot of new characters and a lot of
- 11:28Speaker 2: things going on with them, a lot.
- 11:30Speaker 4: Of old characters.
- 11:32Speaker 2: I don't know if this really relates to pacing, but
- 11:35Speaker 2: I really like how the events of Echo are being referenced.
- 11:41Speaker 4: In fact, there was a comedic.
- 11:45Speaker 5: There's several comedic.
- 11:46Speaker 2: I mean there's several, but in terms for Echo, in
- 11:49Speaker 2: terms of Echo, like so if you've seen the series Echo,
- 11:52Speaker 2: and if you haven't, we recommend that you do before
- 11:54Speaker 2: you watch this. It's definitely you know, it's all Disney
- 11:57Speaker 2: Plus as well, so go check that out. And you know,
- 12:01Speaker 2: King Penn and Vincent have an adventure in there that reference.
- 12:06Speaker 3: Yeah, we had a conversation about this, I believe on
- 12:11Speaker 3: the Brandon Collins episode for Drunk Black History.
- 12:14Speaker 5: Y'all go back into the YouTube to see that.
- 12:18Speaker 3: I believe it was that episode where I was complaining
- 12:22Speaker 3: hard like about and you mentioned why Marvel ignores the
- 12:26Speaker 3: TV shows when they're doing the films, and with dar
- 12:29Speaker 3: Devil they ignored nothing. With Daredevil Born Again, they actually
- 12:34Speaker 3: but I mean already spoke to one thing. They referenced
- 12:37Speaker 3: and it has consequences of.
- 12:41Speaker 5: What happened in Echo to Born Again.
- 12:44Speaker 3: There's references and there are consequences what happened in fucking
- 12:47Speaker 3: movies that you see in the first two fucking episodes
- 12:49Speaker 3: of Dared Devil Born Again. There are connections to all
- 12:53Speaker 3: of the other characters and all the other movies, which
- 12:55Speaker 3: is I'm like, it feels like the whole plan is
- 13:00Speaker 3: culminating around Daredevil. Like when it comes to where the
- 13:03Speaker 3: MCU is going, I'm feeling like Daredevil's being the anchor because,
- 13:07Speaker 3: besides maybe Doctor Strange, he's the only one that I've
- 13:10Speaker 3: seen pop up across several mediums on Disney MCU. We're
- 13:14Speaker 3: talking about again the movies, we're talking about animation, and
- 13:18Speaker 3: we're talking about TV. That's the He's been the constant
- 13:22Speaker 3: and the one that draws the most pop when he
- 13:25Speaker 3: shows up on screen for people, regardless of what generation
- 13:28Speaker 3: of Marvel you in, he seemed to be drawing the
- 13:30Speaker 3: most pop. I feel like Daredevil's gonna be MCU's new
- 13:33Speaker 3: Iron Man.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Well, you gotta remember, Daredevil is the standard, you know,
- 13:37Speaker 2: still when it comes to TV shows, because when the
- 13:41Speaker 2: Netflix Daredevil dropped, it was a fucking game changer. You know,
- 13:45Speaker 2: we'd never seen anything like that, you know, because this
- 13:47Speaker 2: predates Wan Division, this predates everything they're doing now. And
- 13:51Speaker 2: that was the first at the Netflix joints and still
- 13:53Speaker 2: probably the best at the Netflix joints at least for
- 13:56Speaker 2: having three solid seasons that were just you know, pure crack.
- 13:59Speaker 2: So that's why, you know, like you said, you already
- 14:03Speaker 2: have a built in fan base from three seasons of
- 14:06Speaker 2: Netflix shows that were all super high quality and ended
- 14:09Speaker 2: on a very high note where people really wanted to
- 14:12Speaker 2: see what happens next, and then this is what happens next.
- 14:15Speaker 2: So you've already got this built in fan base that
- 14:18Speaker 2: is you know, generational. And then you, like I said,
- 14:21Speaker 2: if you're a Darenable fan of any of the mediums
- 14:24Speaker 2: from comics to like whenever he appeared on old cartoons,
- 14:27Speaker 2: et cetera, this is prime Daredevil right here. You know,
- 14:31Speaker 2: this is peak Daredevil. Like this gets everyone like, like
- 14:37Speaker 2: I said, I shout out, and no Sinti earlier, Mark Wade.
- 14:41Speaker 2: There's so many great creators who put you know, their
- 14:43Speaker 2: stamp on Daredevil. But in terms of that Catholic, upbringing
- 14:49Speaker 2: New York tough kid who grows up hard. You know,
- 14:53Speaker 2: his father teaches him the box, loses his eyesight early,
- 14:58Speaker 2: goes through trials and tribulation, learns to you know, fight,
- 15:01Speaker 2: meat stick, gets trained, all that stuff. Like they did
- 15:06Speaker 2: all that. They showed you that, you know, they really
- 15:09Speaker 2: did it. Like remember when he first put on the
- 15:11Speaker 2: suit at the end of season one, Like what a
- 15:13Speaker 2: moment that was.
- 15:14Speaker 3: And you know what else, I completely appreciate they are
- 15:18Speaker 3: not using the first thirty minutes to catch.
- 15:20Speaker 5: Us up, no exposition.
- 15:22Speaker 3: No, this is what happened, and this is where he
- 15:24Speaker 3: found himself, and this is where he broke his leg.
- 15:27Speaker 5: Ain't none of that shit. It's here.
- 15:30Speaker 3: You go Continue the story. If that's what the fuck
- 15:34Speaker 3: I've been asking for. Continue the story. You've never seen it,
- 15:38Speaker 3: so fucking what continue the story. There's so much already there,
- 15:42Speaker 3: and it is built in a way that if you
- 15:45Speaker 3: never watch it, it's like, Nigga, you need to go
- 15:47Speaker 3: back and go watch this real quick, just to just
- 15:50Speaker 3: to get a little more taste of where we're going
- 15:52Speaker 3: with this. You don't have to, but it's really it
- 15:56Speaker 3: gives you a really compelling reason to go back and
- 15:58Speaker 3: get to the source material and see how all the
- 16:01Speaker 3: connection tissue plays out and what's going to have how
- 16:04Speaker 3: does that flesh out into something larger?
- 16:06Speaker 5: This ship is insane.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Yeah, And like you said, even with how they reference Echo,
- 16:12Speaker 2: it's so well done because you don't have to see it.
- 16:15Speaker 2: You can just imagine it if you want, and you'll
- 16:19Speaker 2: get it. You know, you'll be like, okay, you know,
- 16:21Speaker 2: all right, he went through that. Okay, I get it,
- 16:24Speaker 2: all right, boom okay, And now here we are Herriot
- 16:26Speaker 2: and it's but it's still, you know, visually referenced where
- 16:30Speaker 2: it's like it is now a part of this character part.
- 16:33Speaker 5: It's not ignored. It's part of the universe. It's part
- 16:37Speaker 5: of this timeline.
- 16:38Speaker 4: Yes.
- 16:38Speaker 3: And and when I and justin further clarify, when I
- 16:41Speaker 3: was like, go back and watch it, I'm talking about Daredevil.
- 16:43Speaker 2: Oh yeah, no, no, yeah, you should definitely watch Echo. I
- 16:46Speaker 2: would say, watch their Devil and Echo and you'll be
- 16:48Speaker 2: right there.
- 16:49Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think I gave a seed the
- 16:53Speaker 3: Echo but yeah.
- 16:55Speaker 4: I gave it a Remember when.
- 16:57Speaker 2: We were we were like getting up until the very
- 17:00Speaker 2: Remember that's when the Nigga shot at Bozuoka at the
- 17:03Speaker 2: crowd and ship.
- 17:03Speaker 4: It was, I mean, which is comedy.
- 17:05Speaker 2: I might need to watch that again because a man
- 17:08Speaker 2: trying to shoot a bazooka at a group of unarmed people,
- 17:12Speaker 2: it's some like next level.
- 17:15Speaker 5: I had the first. One of the first things I
- 17:17Speaker 5: said was they brought the streets back.
- 17:19Speaker 3: Yes, in every way possible, in every fucking way possible.
- 17:23Speaker 5: And it's not Goofy.
- 17:25Speaker 3: There's no Goofy's Like I said that, there's there's some
- 17:28Speaker 3: ship that will throw you off at first, but then
- 17:30Speaker 3: it's like sight and it's.
- 17:34Speaker 5: Immediately it's me. It's an immediate hit.
- 17:38Speaker 2: And they they even the way they deal with the
- 17:43Speaker 2: idea of people being super powered is so interesting, you know,
- 17:48Speaker 2: it's like so interesting.
- 17:50Speaker 4: It's so cool to see.
- 17:51Speaker 2: The regular world interact, like having lived through so much
- 17:56Speaker 2: MCU history.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Now right and and they and and what's interesting because
- 18:01Speaker 3: this is the street heroes, right, the street level heroes.
- 18:04Speaker 3: These are not the ones that are necessarily superpowered, but
- 18:06Speaker 3: may seem a little otherworldly in their demeanor. Or in
- 18:10Speaker 3: how they present themselves, how they market themselves.
- 18:12Speaker 5: Right.
- 18:13Speaker 3: Daredevil is another worldly character that seems to have mystical powers. Right,
- 18:18Speaker 3: but he's just a nigga that got some really good
- 18:21Speaker 3: you know, really good hearing and really good that's really good.
- 18:24Speaker 3: That to varying degrees, the way that they still incorporate
- 18:30Speaker 3: what's actually happened in MCU. There's still mentions of what's
- 18:33Speaker 3: happened to mc those the other characters still exists, the
- 18:36Speaker 3: ones that do have power still fucking exists. But this
- 18:38Speaker 3: it's not focused on them. It's focused on the Wilskin Fast.
- 18:42Speaker 3: It's focused on this nigga that I don't understand how
- 18:45Speaker 3: he's so powerful because he's just a man, but he
- 18:47Speaker 3: got some he's a bit of the worldly. It's focuses
- 18:50Speaker 3: on Daredevil with Matt Murdoch. I don't understand how this
- 18:53Speaker 3: niggas jumping like this. He got some skills, you understand,
- 18:56Speaker 3: Like it still rise that line but still giving you realism.
- 19:01Speaker 5: It's it's just moved away. Marvel has done that a lot.
- 19:05Speaker 3: Where it starts from the you know, it goes to
- 19:08Speaker 3: the Okay, this guy the billionaire, right that has access
- 19:12Speaker 3: to shit, you can never have and make a suit
- 19:14Speaker 3: right and have and have powers in that way. Then
- 19:17Speaker 3: it fast, you know, when you go over back down
- 19:19Speaker 3: down to endgame where you end up with gods and
- 19:22Speaker 3: demigods and in celestials and shit like that. Now it's
- 19:25Speaker 3: bringing it back home to Okay, back to the streets.
- 19:28Speaker 5: This is hood Justice at his finest and New York.
- 19:34Speaker 3: At a very genuine there are thank y'all, Thank y'all
- 19:39Speaker 3: for doing. Thank y'all for actually filming in New York
- 19:42Speaker 3: because I remember all of the trucks that were there
- 19:45Speaker 3: for fucking months on end in Hell's Kitchen for real.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Thank god y'all didn't film on Toronto or on the set.
- 19:53Speaker 3: Maybe y'all did in certain scenes, but a lot of
- 19:56Speaker 3: the views, you know, the b roll, all this stuff,
- 19:59Speaker 3: it's New York and that matters. It really matters to
- 20:03Speaker 3: the quote realism of the series. It matters to the
- 20:06Speaker 3: genuineness of the series. It matters especially to people who
- 20:08Speaker 3: are from New York like me, who can tell when
- 20:10Speaker 3: that shit is not really New York like and when
- 20:13Speaker 3: you're incorporating what New York is, which is the people.
- 20:17Speaker 5: You need that real you need the on the ground real.
- 20:21Speaker 3: You need that to match up with the story you're
- 20:23Speaker 3: trying to tell, and they did that very well.
- 20:27Speaker 2: I want to give a shout out once again to
- 20:30Speaker 2: Marvel's casting and you know just how we all know,
- 20:34Speaker 2: Like you know, most of the original cast is back,
- 20:37Speaker 2: Charlie Cox, Deborah and wall Elden Henson, you know the
- 20:41Speaker 2: original three John Bernthal, Plane, Frank Castle, Wilson Bethel playing Bullseye.
- 20:49Speaker 3: You said, Eldon right with Who's Foggy Vincent Dnafio, Yes, yes, yes.
- 20:55Speaker 2: And then you know some of the new people who
- 20:58Speaker 2: I want to shout out Clark Johnson, the mother fucking
- 21:02Speaker 2: legend from The Wire if you' all fans of The Wire.
- 21:06Speaker 2: He was the head newspaper editor in the final season
- 21:10Speaker 2: of The Wire and he's brilliant, and he's brilliant again
- 21:13Speaker 2: playing Cherry. Also Kamara de los Reyes. I think playing
- 21:20Speaker 2: the White Tiger, Hector Ayalah White Tiger is one of
- 21:25Speaker 2: my like he's I don't know what they've been doing
- 21:28Speaker 2: with him in the comments lately, but when I was
- 21:30Speaker 2: coming up, it was just like.
- 21:32Speaker 4: Little to nothing, you know what I mean.
- 21:34Speaker 2: But he had a dope ass suit and a dope
- 21:38Speaker 2: as costume and just said he had like you know,
- 21:41Speaker 2: the ambuletce that you know, gave him this power. And
- 21:44Speaker 2: I was like, Oh, that's dope, you know. And the name,
- 21:46Speaker 2: you know, White Tiger, you know, fire like, so I
- 21:49Speaker 2: always loved him. He barely appeared in anything, even though
- 21:52Speaker 2: he did appear in Heroes for Hire, the Power Man
- 21:55Speaker 2: in Iron Fish. So he's you know, always been that
- 21:57Speaker 2: street level type dude. And he's always been a Latin character,
- 22:00Speaker 2: you know, And that was something I always you know,
- 22:02Speaker 2: even as a kid, I was like, Oh, that's fire,
- 22:03Speaker 2: you know, because there was.
- 22:04Speaker 5: And they retained that, they retain that genuine Oh I
- 22:07Speaker 5: have to have to.
- 22:08Speaker 2: You have to with White Taker because I know they've
- 22:10Speaker 2: done more with him since you know, I was a kid,
- 22:12Speaker 2: But like, it was barely anything.
- 22:14Speaker 3: I also want to give shout outs to and I
- 22:15Speaker 3: hope I pronounce her name, Jeneia Walton, who plays Babe Urritt.
- 22:19Speaker 4: Oh.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Yes, yes, very very dope, the niece of Ben Urick,
- 22:25Speaker 2: you know, legendary comics character and was you know, featured
- 22:29Speaker 2: heavily in the original Dare double series.
- 22:32Speaker 3: Go back and watch the Dogeries to find out what
- 22:34Speaker 3: occurred with him.
- 22:35Speaker 4: Yes, even though it's referenced very quickly.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Yes, Michael Gandolphini, the son of the late great James
- 22:44Speaker 2: Dandolphini from Sopranos Fame, also doing great work here. Uh,
- 22:49Speaker 2: Marguerita Levia, I want.
- 22:52Speaker 5: To say, yeah Levia or Lavia.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Yeah, she plays a new character, Heather Glenn. I really
- 22:57Speaker 2: like her on there.
- 22:58Speaker 4: Uh, Nikki M.
- 23:00Speaker 2: James playing Kirsten McDuffie, another new character.
- 23:03Speaker 4: Great work.
- 23:04Speaker 2: And I think that's about it for what we've seen
- 23:06Speaker 2: so far in the first two episodes as far as
- 23:09Speaker 2: new people and stuff.
- 23:10Speaker 3: Yeah, this is this is uh you know, sorry to
- 23:13Speaker 3: use the common word, but this is diverse cast. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 23:17Speaker 3: and it's new and that's what And that goes back
- 23:19Speaker 3: to what I was saying, this is New York, like
- 23:21Speaker 3: this is what it's supposed to look like.
- 23:22Speaker 5: Okay.
- 23:23Speaker 3: And uh Also I was gonna say that there wasn't
- 23:27Speaker 3: really much by the way of music.
- 23:28Speaker 5: There's more score than music, right.
- 23:29Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't remember any.
- 23:32Speaker 3: Songs, which I love because we've had recently, we've had
- 23:36Speaker 3: a lot of complaints about on the nose music choices
- 23:39Speaker 3: are just.
- 23:39Speaker 5: Right like.
- 23:42Speaker 3: Choices, and it's like, why would you write why would
- 23:46Speaker 3: you Sully or like, you know, clown the scene by
- 23:50Speaker 3: doing that. So there's none of that, Like, and what's
- 23:54Speaker 3: great about this show is like, yes, there's dark moments,
- 23:57Speaker 3: Yes it's gritty, Yes it's fucking hood Justice the Street,
- 24:00Speaker 3: but it's also comedy and funny shit happening like at
- 24:04Speaker 3: the right times, like the banter. The character banter.
- 24:09Speaker 5: Is on point.
- 24:12Speaker 2: Charlie and Vincent, Uh, you know, that's some of the
- 24:15Speaker 2: greatest hero villain chemistry.
- 24:19Speaker 5: That's I know what you're talking about, that fucking conversation.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I feel like and we've seen some
- 24:25Speaker 2: of that in the trailer, and I felt like that
- 24:26Speaker 2: was a great heat reference.
- 24:28Speaker 4: You know, maybe that might be there, but just beautiful man.
- 24:33Speaker 4: Just yeah.
- 24:34Speaker 2: But and I want to just go back to agree
- 24:36Speaker 2: with you that I feel like, at least for the
- 24:38Speaker 2: I mean, and there there was always been for the Street.
- 24:40Speaker 2: You know, he has been the iron Man like he
- 24:42Speaker 2: is like he said it, but he is literally the
- 24:45Speaker 2: iron Man of the TV shows, just like how Iron
- 24:49Speaker 2: Man kicked off the movies there Devil kicked off the
- 24:51Speaker 2: TV shows.
- 24:52Speaker 5: But I now think he's the Iron Man of the
- 24:54Speaker 5: MCU at large.
- 24:55Speaker 4: At this point all right, just wrap it up. Is
- 24:59Speaker 4: he gonna join Avengers?
- 25:01Speaker 5: Fuck? No, funck the Avengers. I'm just I'm just doing it.
- 25:05Speaker 5: From his character attitude perspective.
- 25:08Speaker 4: He still gets mopped the next time some cosmic forest comes.
- 25:11Speaker 5: You know, like his ass still getting served, but.
- 25:15Speaker 4: He's still.
- 25:17Speaker 5: He will will absolutely help where he can.
- 25:21Speaker 4: Did he get snapped?
- 25:23Speaker 5: Who was the even a?
- 25:25Speaker 3: Was he even like live or existing at that point
- 25:29Speaker 3: as a in universe character yet?
- 25:32Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 25:33Speaker 5: He was?
- 25:34Speaker 4: Yes, yes, yes, because okay, I can say this for confidence.
- 25:37Speaker 5: Because they didn't mention they referenced the first movie first.
- 25:41Speaker 2: I don't know about the blip, but they referenced the
- 25:43Speaker 2: first Avengers, you know, like New York being invaded by aliens.
- 25:46Speaker 2: They definitely referenced that.
- 25:47Speaker 5: They mentioned the blip.
- 25:48Speaker 3: I don't know if it was Luke Cage or something else,
- 25:50Speaker 3: but there was a news one of their characters looking
- 25:52Speaker 3: at where it mentioned the blitz, like literally the word
- 25:54Speaker 3: the blit was there. I don't remember. It was definitely
- 25:56Speaker 3: a Netflix series. I don't remember Charlie's or.
- 26:00Speaker 2: That had to be later because his first you know,
- 26:02Speaker 2: a few seasons are out before INFA.
- 26:06Speaker 5: It was it was maybe it was it.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Had to be like the last ship. Yeah, if anything,
- 26:10Speaker 2: because what is fact? I don't know. I don't know
- 26:14Speaker 2: the timeline to check that, but yeah, that had I
- 26:18Speaker 2: don't know if that that that you know, we'll have
- 26:19Speaker 2: to see.
- 26:20Speaker 3: All right, I'm sorry, and I know I'm trying to
- 26:22Speaker 3: speak this up, but like, what what timeline are we
- 26:24Speaker 3: and it's just I know it's just after the events
- 26:25Speaker 3: of what happened in Dear Devil season two but three
- 26:29Speaker 3: for three excuse me three?
- 26:30Speaker 4: But where are we at.
- 26:36Speaker 5: Timeline? I don't know current?
- 26:38Speaker 4: Year?
- 26:39Speaker 5: Is current?
- 26:40Speaker 2: I think, well, yes, I don't want uh, this ain't
- 26:44Speaker 2: really a spoiler, but yes, no, I can say confidently,
- 26:48Speaker 2: but either current or very close to it, either current
- 26:52Speaker 2: or whenever Hawkeye et cetera takes place. And I'll say
- 26:55Speaker 2: more on that in the spoiler review. But yes, definitely
- 26:59Speaker 2: I could say with confidence.
- 27:00Speaker 3: And they did a little bit. They kept the same
- 27:02Speaker 3: but did a little bit more stuff. When it comes
- 27:04Speaker 3: to showing how their Devil uses this powers, yes.
- 27:10Speaker 4: They very fire.
- 27:12Speaker 5: They did enough.
- 27:13Speaker 3: They're doing something a little bit new and a little
- 27:16Speaker 3: bit of a different approach, and and it's as he said,
- 27:18Speaker 3: it's very fire.
- 27:18Speaker 5: It gives you the.
- 27:21Speaker 3: The again, still down to earth, but like this nigga
- 27:25Speaker 3: might be a hero type, you know, like it gives
- 27:27Speaker 3: you like different their devil's different. It gives you this
- 27:30Speaker 3: the sense that he is different. He's not like all
- 27:32Speaker 3: these other niggas out here. But at the end of
- 27:35Speaker 3: the day, he is a human being. Get his ass
- 27:37Speaker 3: kick too.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Yes, all right, yeah, you're I mean, we're both pretty
- 27:44Speaker 2: much like watch this ship. Watch it immediately as soon
- 27:46Speaker 2: as it drops midnight, whenever it hits you know, I
- 27:49Speaker 2: don't know what time they're gonna drop it, but immediately,
- 27:52Speaker 2: I say, if you're a fan of the first three seasons,
- 27:54Speaker 2: there's no reason. There's no reason to worry. Let me
- 27:56Speaker 2: say that, you're good, family, We're all good, you know
- 28:00Speaker 2: what I mean. There's no need to worry. If you're
- 28:02Speaker 2: a fan of the first three seasons. Oh my god, Yeah,
- 28:06Speaker 2: there's no need to worry.
- 28:08Speaker 5: A plus all the way, I'm fucking with it. It's lit.
- 28:12Speaker 4: I can't.
- 28:13Speaker 2: I can't hard or for me to give a plus out,
- 28:16Speaker 2: but a plus on two episodes alone. Yeah, definitely on
- 28:20Speaker 2: these two I got it. You know, I've I've seen
- 28:23Speaker 2: them twice. When we finished, I'll probably go watch one
- 28:27Speaker 2: of them again.
- 28:27Speaker 5: I'm gonna watch it again.
- 28:28Speaker 3: Yeah, if the player the replayability is there, we got obviously,
- 28:32Speaker 3: we want to hope they stick the landing. You know,
- 28:33Speaker 3: we're still very very early for various reasons, but these
- 28:37Speaker 3: two is a winner.
- 28:39Speaker 4: Yep.
