- 0:19Speaker 1: good to me. Wow. And and you know why I
- 0:25Speaker 1: say it like that.
- 0:26Speaker 2: What makes it amazing is because it's been in spite
- 0:28Speaker 2: of myself.
- 0:31Speaker 1: I mean, you know what I mean by that. I
- 0:33Speaker 1: mean I mean that he's been good to me.
- 0:37Speaker 2: In spite of all the craziness I've done, all the
- 0:41Speaker 2: foolishness I've gotten myself involved with, and not only got,
- 0:45Speaker 2: but knowingly got myself involved with, all of the stupid
- 0:51Speaker 2: decisions I've made. Put all that to the side, and
- 0:57Speaker 2: he's still been good to me. Bring it all and
- 1:00Speaker 2: put it on the plate, and he's still being good
- 1:02Speaker 2: to me.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Man.
- 1:03Speaker 2: That's amazing, man. And I'm sure there's a lot of
- 1:06Speaker 2: people that can say the exact same thing. I mean,
- 1:09Speaker 2: come on, man, I got you, ain't famous, I got
- 1:12Speaker 2: ain't nobody, got no microphone in your face, I got nobody,
- 1:14Speaker 2: ain't got no spotlight on you. I got nobody, ain't
- 1:17Speaker 2: got no camera in your face. I got nobody probably
- 1:19Speaker 2: ain't nobody blogging about you. But let me tell you something.
- 1:22Speaker 2: If you break it down and be real about it,
- 1:24Speaker 2: Oh you done done something outside the box. You done
- 1:28Speaker 2: done something, ladies included, you've done something out the box.
- 1:31Speaker 2: You woke up and went what did I do that for?
- 1:35Speaker 1: Oh?
- 1:35Speaker 2: We've all done it. So with all that said and done,
- 1:40Speaker 2: God still loves you, man, God still loves you, still
- 1:44Speaker 2: wants the best for you, still considers you his child,
- 1:47Speaker 2: and its willing. It's willing man to show you your future.
- 1:52Speaker 2: He is willing to show you your life. He is
- 1:55Speaker 2: willing to let you take a peek at the blueprint.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Man.
- 2:00Speaker 2: That's an amazing God right there. Because I know I
- 2:03Speaker 2: couldn't do it. I couldn't do it. I'm glad it's him,
- 2:07Speaker 2: you know. Today, Man, I want to encourage brothers out there.
- 2:10Speaker 2: And when I say brothers, I'm talking to everybody that's
- 2:12Speaker 2: of the male species. I don't care about your color,
- 2:15Speaker 2: I really really don't. I don't even have time for
- 2:17Speaker 2: that in my day. Matter of fact, sometimes when you
- 2:20Speaker 2: get to discuss and race and I just get tired
- 2:22Speaker 2: of it. Sometimes I just wish, you know, some days
- 2:25Speaker 2: I just want to wake up just do me. You know,
- 2:28Speaker 2: I got what the skin tone is. I got that.
- 2:32Speaker 2: But I just want to wake up some days and
- 2:34Speaker 2: just going by my business and do me. I don't
- 2:36Speaker 2: want to have to deal with it somebody. I get
- 2:37Speaker 2: tired of talking about the issues. Ain't gonna make them
- 2:39Speaker 2: go away, But sometimes I get tired. So to day,
- 2:41Speaker 2: I'm talking to brothers, all the brothers of the male species.
- 2:44Speaker 2: I'm talking about men today. Man, if you ain't doing
- 2:50Speaker 2: it all, if you're feeling empty, man, start today completing
- 2:54Speaker 2: your process and your journey. And you know what I'm
- 2:57Speaker 2: saying by that, if there's a part of you just
- 3:00Speaker 2: missing as a man, and now, man, i'm talking to you,
- 3:04Speaker 2: so you know. Some ladies listening, but you know what
- 3:07Speaker 2: I'm talking about. It's some part of you that's missing
- 3:10Speaker 2: as a man. If you ain't really been in touch
- 3:13Speaker 2: with your kids like you're supposed to now for whatever
- 3:16Speaker 2: the reason is. And please know, I do understand how
- 3:21Speaker 2: sometimes women can use children as pawns. It happens all
- 3:26Speaker 2: the time. I've been through it. I've been through it, man,
- 3:29Speaker 2: I know what it feels like, man to wanna do something,
- 3:33Speaker 2: but because you ain't got this, or you ain't doing this,
- 3:35Speaker 2: then I ain't gonna let you have this. You gotta
- 3:38Speaker 2: fight through, fellas. You got to fight through. You got
- 3:43Speaker 2: to fulfill your end of the deal. And I got
- 3:47Speaker 2: how difficult they making it. I got how man, it's
- 3:50Speaker 2: gonna come with some drama, but you gotta fight through it, because, man,
- 3:54Speaker 2: we need fathers to be fathers. That's really what we need.
- 3:58Speaker 2: If you're a man out there and you are a
- 4:00Speaker 2: father of a child, we need you do your job.
- 4:04Speaker 2: I'm talking about our community, our situation, us as a people,
- 4:10Speaker 2: all of us.
- 4:12Speaker 1: We need you to be a father. Period.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Hey man, I ain't coming down on you. I'm just
- 4:19Speaker 2: your boy. I'm your man. And I've been in the
- 4:22Speaker 2: same predicament, in the same hole myself, where I couldn't
- 4:26Speaker 2: get to them, where they were used as pawns, where
- 4:30Speaker 2: they were told things about me that wasn't even true.
- 4:32Speaker 2: I've been through it. You can't see them, You don't
- 4:36Speaker 2: come on, okay, okay, I got all that. You ain't
- 4:38Speaker 2: sent this. You ain't okay, Hey got all that. If
- 4:42Speaker 2: you can call them sometimes, tell them you thinking about them,
- 4:47Speaker 2: tell them you love them.
- 4:49Speaker 1: If you can get a letter to them, if you
- 4:51Speaker 1: can get a message to your children through one of
- 4:53Speaker 1: your relatives. Start the process today. Be a father. It's
- 5:00Speaker 1: your job now.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Because you ignoring him, or you acting like they ain't
- 5:04Speaker 2: over there, or you thee backed them out of your
- 5:07Speaker 2: mind because the situation got too difficult. I got that.
- 5:10Speaker 2: I got that. But you got to step up and
- 5:13Speaker 2: be fathers. You got to write a letter. You gotta
- 5:16Speaker 2: send the money if she talking about it. If you don't
- 5:18Speaker 2: send all the money, you ain't gonna see him. Send
- 5:20Speaker 2: what you got if she if taking it over there
- 5:22Speaker 2: is too much drama, send it through a relative, Give
- 5:25Speaker 2: it to a mama, Give it to her sister, ask
- 5:27Speaker 2: her to take it over there and do something for
- 5:29Speaker 2: the baby. Because okay, okay, you can't deal with the drama.
- 5:32Speaker 2: I got that, and I know it's much to pay
- 5:35Speaker 2: when you have to deal with that, because clearly I
- 5:38Speaker 2: know hell have no fury like a woman's going Please know.
- 5:42Speaker 2: I know that, Please know, And that's a real statement.
- 5:45Speaker 2: That ain't no saying. Steve got that's the truth. But
- 5:50Speaker 2: do what you gotta do. Sometimes you have to apologize.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Sometimes an apology goes a long way to your children.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Just say, look, because I've made this apology before. Hey, man, look,
- 6:04Speaker 2: I'm sorry I wasn't there for you. I was out
- 6:07Speaker 2: grinding and hustling, and I wasn't paying attention to you,
- 6:11Speaker 2: and I should have been.
- 6:13Speaker 1: And I apologize now.
- 6:14Speaker 2: I imagine, man, there's days where you was telling people
- 6:17Speaker 2: I was your father up at the school and they
- 6:18Speaker 2: wasn't believing you. I apologize for sending you through that.
- 6:22Speaker 2: But now, ma'am, I tell you what. I made some mistakes,
- 6:27Speaker 2: and I got it together. I want me and you
- 6:29Speaker 2: to move forward as father and son. I want me
- 6:31Speaker 2: and you to move forward as father and daughter. I
- 6:34Speaker 2: want to be in your life now. I ain't got
- 6:36Speaker 2: a lot, but guess what, I know a lot, because
- 6:39Speaker 2: if you a man and you a father, please know
- 6:41Speaker 2: you know something that child don't know. You have information,
- 6:44Speaker 2: you have experience. That's all they need sometimes to have
- 6:48Speaker 2: somebody to talk to. That daughter yours just needs to
- 6:51Speaker 2: know from her daddy. How should a man treat me?
- 6:55Speaker 1: Dad? What should I look for in a man?
- 6:58Speaker 2: See, they'll take that in information from you because they
- 7:01Speaker 2: know it's coming from the right place. And then you
- 7:04Speaker 2: know that your son needs you because you know how
- 7:07Speaker 2: difficult it is if you're trying to be a man
- 7:10Speaker 2: without your daddy. You already know how funky that is,
- 7:13Speaker 2: right there. So come on, man and meet your mistakes
- 7:17Speaker 2: and move forward. Call your kids, write a letter, get
- 7:21Speaker 2: a phone number on them, send a text, drop a message,
- 7:24Speaker 2: send a note up to the school.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Do something. Man.
- 7:28Speaker 2: If those of us that are fathers would just be fathers,
- 7:33Speaker 2: I could shut the minerying camp down.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Now.
- 7:38Speaker 2: I will say I apologize because I don't want you
- 7:40Speaker 2: to think I'm coming down on you. But I've been
- 7:42Speaker 2: through this myself. I ain't really coming down. I'm just
- 7:45Speaker 2: reminding you this is our job. These are our children,
- 7:49Speaker 2: this is our responsibility. We are men. There is no excuses.
- 7:54Speaker 2: You don't get you don't get. Cut a brake on
- 7:57Speaker 2: that one.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Sorry. Listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show
