- 0:00SPEAKER_03: Welcome back everyone to another episode of Obnoxiously Pleasant.
- 0:04SPEAKER_03: I'm Hanan.
- 0:05SPEAKER_01: I'm Lina.
- 0:06SPEAKER_03: And we're both really happy.
- 0:07SPEAKER_01: Alhamdulillah, yes.
- 0:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Alhamdulillah.
- 0:09SPEAKER_03: We're both really happy.
- 0:10SPEAKER_03: The ceasefire in Gaza.
- 0:12SPEAKER_03: This is just some room to breathe, as I like to say.
- 0:14SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 0:15SPEAKER_03: It's not over, but it's just room to breathe.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: It's not over, but at least there's no, like I was telling you earlier, at least, you know, the bombing can stop.
- 0:22SPEAKER_01: At least aid will be let in.
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:24SPEAKER_03: People can like eat and maybe go to sleep.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:28SPEAKER_03: Without like fear of, you know.
- 0:30SPEAKER_03: I mean, look, there's still a lot of fears, but I can't even, I just look at it as like it's just it's not the end.
- 0:36SPEAKER_01: It's still there's a lot of work to be done.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: But at least, yeah, there's a little bit of a reprieve.
- 0:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah, there is.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: There is.
- 0:42SPEAKER_03: I mean, honestly, though, it's not like the ceasefire hasn't been broken.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: You know, they break the ceasefire.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: The Israelis break it all the time.
- 0:49SPEAKER_03: I will say though, one thing that made me really so I was really happy when the news broke.
- 0:53SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 0:53SPEAKER_03: And then like one of the journalists that I've been following since the beginning of this broke the news, and then like two days later, he was targeted and killed.
- 1:02SPEAKER_03: And it was very sad.
- 1:03SPEAKER_03: It's very sad because this is like the psychological part of this war, right?
- 1:07SPEAKER_03: Where they like take out people that know bring like joy and happiness, and even in the midst of like all of this terrible stuff that's happening.
- 1:15SPEAKER_01: That was really sad.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: I was really like heartbroken by that.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: It was very heartbroken.
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: I mean, yeah, so that's that.
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: And then like the um the hostages, the Palestinian hostages that were released yesterday.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: And yes, I call them hostages because you know, uh, they're hostages.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: Uh I'm not gonna call them prisoners, but whatever.
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: I look, you're not wrong.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you're not wrong.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: Um like it was it was prisoners, assumes you did something wrong.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I know you they didn't do anything wrong, and the majority of them were like uh children and and and I think the crazy people were in there for no charges.
- 1:46SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think the craziest one that I saw was so the the the journalist that passed away, his name was Salah, and you see his dad, you know, like sort of bidding him for a while, bidding the body obviously for a while.
- 1:57SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and then his other son was released in that hostage exchange.
- 2:01SPEAKER_03: And so for me, that's crazy.
- 2:02SPEAKER_03: Like, you know, it is the the epitome of God giveth and god taketh away.
- 2:07SPEAKER_03: Like it's like he got we lost one son, he got one another, he got another back.
- 2:11SPEAKER_03: And I know it's so sad.
- 2:13SPEAKER_03: I don't know how some of those some of those videos and images were really um some of them were nice, some of them were really like heartbreaking because where there was one where I saw a um was a girl, probably about 20, 21 years old, hugging her dad.
- 2:29SPEAKER_03: She was like six months old when he I saw that video.
- 2:32SPEAKER_03: Six months old.
- 2:32SPEAKER_03: Can you imagine you like don't know anything about this person, you've never met them.
- 2:36SPEAKER_03: I look, because I'm not crazy, I don't know how visitation works.
- 2:38SPEAKER_03: I don't even know if there is no, but I don't I don't know, you know, the I I don't know.
- 2:43SPEAKER_03: I don't know, but I can't imagine like 20 this child that you have and six months old, all of a sudden she's this young woman, and you you're meeting somebody for the first time that's supposed to, you know, be like one of the closest people to you.
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: I know, I know.
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: And then there was one video of this guy that they told that his entire family was killed.
- 3:02SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: That his kids were killed, that his wife, his parents were killed, and then he you can see the trauma on his face.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: Like they really did a number on him in there, and then they they he he greets his his kids and his and he's just like he He's not there, yeah.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: No, he's there, he's so happy, but you can still see the trauma.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: He's like, they told me you guys were they told me they killed you guys.
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: You know, it's just it's like not enough that they they they But that's what I'm saying.
- 3:28SPEAKER_03: There's like the whole psychological yeah part of this that I don't think we really give a lot of um yeah, a lot of discussion to.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm just God alhamdulillah.
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: Like there's there's there's a break.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: There's a break, inshallah.
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: This ceasefire actually lasts, and Israel doesn't break it like they always do, and just just to get let these people breathe.
- 3:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you know, they've been through so much, and let that aid in, inshallah khir.
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: Hopefully it's uh it's it's uh it it lasts.
- 3:55SPEAKER_01: I hope so.
- 3:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I hope so.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: But Sinti, what else is going on with you?
- 3:59SPEAKER_02: Nothing, nothing is going on with you.
- 4:01SPEAKER_02: Nothing?
- 4:01SPEAKER_02: I'm just working.
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: You're working?
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 4:04SPEAKER_01: Speaking of work, did you know that I was reading an article the other day that said Americans are taking PTO to sleep, they're not going on vacations anymore.
- 4:12SPEAKER_03: I mean, that doesn't surprise me.
- 4:14SPEAKER_01: Have you taken PO to sleep, Hanan?
- 4:16SPEAKER_01: No.
- 4:16SPEAKER_03: I have, but it doesn't surprise me.
- 4:18SPEAKER_03: I mean, like, do I take a day off because I don't feel like working?
- 4:21SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but I also think like now that I work for myself, if I don't work, I don't get paid.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, well, here the the the report was it's it's uh they did a a survey or a study, and over one third of Americans, about 37%, have used their pay time off to sleep.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: Um rather than a traditional vacation.
- 4:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that really doesn't surprise me because we kind of suck at that.
- 4:42SPEAKER_03: Like we are not good at we as a society, um, we're just we're like not good at giving people life work balance and well, I I was gonna say giving people breaks, but it's more like treating people like people.
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but I think it's it's because like they're saying in this article that the like modern modern work culture, burnout, demands of juggling, professional and personal responsibilities, which have left many feeling exhausted.
- 5:04SPEAKER_01: And I think that's a fair assessment.
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: I think we're you and I are always exhausted.
- 5:08SPEAKER_03: I mean, yes, by life.
- 5:10SPEAKER_01: And this is uh the highest is uh the highest rates uh is among uh millennials with 43% using PTO.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: I can see that.
- 5:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I can totally see that.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Gen X is 34% and Gen Z is 33%.
- 5:23SPEAKER_03: I feel like I'm right on the cusp of millennial Gen X.
- 5:26SPEAKER_01: I mean, you know, we're like we're lost.
- 5:29SPEAKER_01: Like it's not one year.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: I know it's like what happened.
- 5:33SPEAKER_01: No, but apparently we're supposed to be uh uh like there's there's a name for it.
- 5:37SPEAKER_01: I can't remember, but I'm like, like I just don't know where I fall anymore.
- 5:41SPEAKER_01: Like I know.
- 5:42SPEAKER_01: I mean, I I honestly like I relate more to to like an elder millennial.
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: I mean, that's just I feel like I'm the same way, an elder millennial.
- 5:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because like we're we're in that year where it's like, okay, where what happened to this year?
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: Does no one want us?
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: 1980.
- 5:54SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: I don't know, but yeah, I can totally see this.
- 5:57SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's just it's sad because I mean, and and the fact that they they're using their time off not to even go on vacation because you know the cost of living is so expensive.
- 6:07SPEAKER_01: I know, like no one can go actually go on vacation.
- 6:09SPEAKER_03: Well, I mean, honestly, right now, what are you gonna do on vacation?
- 6:11SPEAKER_03: Like, with it, so like in our area, uh look across the whole country, a lot of people are like impacted by the government shutdown.
- 6:17SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so you're technically not working, right?
- 6:20SPEAKER_03: But you're also not getting paid.
- 6:23SPEAKER_03: So even if you wanted to take this time to like relax and do other things, you're kind of stressed because you're like, Well, how am I gonna make money?
- 6:28SPEAKER_01: It's even before the shutdown, though.
- 6:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah, like you know, people what I'm saying is like even now, like if you had this time off, it's not really time off.
- 6:35SPEAKER_03: You're you're basically you're not going to work because you know, Congress couldn't do their one job.
- 6:40SPEAKER_03: I said, What do you got if I was Congress, I'd be fired by now.
- 6:42SPEAKER_01: Like if I did my paid, they're still getting paid.
- 6:46SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 6:46SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you know, I'm just I feel like I feel like they're holding all of the American people hostage because you know, we made a decision that nobody is going to calm down and talk, you know, peacefully and I don't know, come to like a middle ground on something.
- 7:02SPEAKER_03: I just feel like if I did my job the way that Congress is doing its job right now, I would be fired.
- 7:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: Also, you know, like they're getting they're still getting paid, Israel's still getting funding.
- 7:13SPEAKER_01: I don't want to talk about it because this makes me that to me is just ridiculous.
- 7:17SPEAKER_03: You know, I just had like a half a bag of kettle corn.
- 7:19SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna throw up.
- 7:20SPEAKER_03: So we have to talk talking about this.
- 7:21SPEAKER_03: I have to stop talking about this.
- 7:22SPEAKER_03: Stop for lazy memories.
- 7:24SPEAKER_03: I mean, like no, I don't want to talk about it anymore.
- 7:27SPEAKER_03: I got the erf.
- 7:28SPEAKER_03: I know.
- 7:29SPEAKER_03: Like, like literally, when I think, I'm just like, how do you guys expect people to survive?
- 7:34SPEAKER_03: Actually, they don't care.
- 7:35SPEAKER_01: They don't care, they don't care, they don't care.
- 7:37SPEAKER_01: I mean, there was I saw I don't know if you saw Mike Johnson on C-SPAN, they had a callin' show.
- 7:41SPEAKER_01: I I miss calling shows because in Masalanthi, like they wipe the floor with his as this one lady, she I miss calling.
- 7:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, and and he was so obnoxious too.
- 7:50SPEAKER_01: Like she called him, she's a military uh spouse, and her husband is not getting paid.
- 7:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and then she's like, I have kids who need medical attention and they need like they need medicine, and we can't afford it.
- 8:02SPEAKER_01: Did you see that?
- 8:03SPEAKER_01: Yes, and then his response was just like, well, you know, it's not our fault, it's a Democrats' fault.
- 8:08SPEAKER_03: What do you mean it's not our fault?
- 8:09SPEAKER_03: It's a Democrats' fault.
- 8:10SPEAKER_01: I don't know, man.
- 8:11SPEAKER_01: It's just ridiculous.
- 8:12SPEAKER_01: I just I it's they're playing with people's lives and they don't give a shit.
- 8:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 8:16SPEAKER_01: It's really sad.
- 8:17SPEAKER_01: No, they don't.
- 8:17SPEAKER_01: It's really sad.
- 8:18SPEAKER_01: Intie, what else is going on?
- 8:19SPEAKER_03: Oh, nothing.
- 8:20SPEAKER_03: I have some questions that I wanted to ask you.
- 8:21SPEAKER_01: Okay, before you ask me the questions, I have one more thing.
- 8:24SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 8:24SPEAKER_01: Did you hear because usually you're you're aware of these things.
- 8:27SPEAKER_01: Did you hear about something called grandma showers?
- 8:30SPEAKER_03: No.
- 8:31SPEAKER_01: Like, don't go like the dirty.
- 8:33SPEAKER_01: No, like like a baby shower for grandmas.
- 8:35SPEAKER_01: Have you heard about it?
- 8:36SPEAKER_03: No, that's so cute though.
- 8:37SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 8:37SPEAKER_01: No, I haven't heard about it.
- 8:38SPEAKER_01: You haven't heard about it.
- 8:39SPEAKER_01: No.
- 8:39SPEAKER_01: Okay, so basically, um, the grandma who's gonna be expecting uh a baby, like a grandchild, they do a baby shower.
- 8:47SPEAKER_03: Oh, that's so cute.
- 8:48SPEAKER_03: I love that.
- 8:49SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 8:49SPEAKER_03: I love that.
- 8:50SPEAKER_01: Shul had what is her what did she do in this in this whole process?
- 8:53SPEAKER_03: Dude, grandmas are amazing, right?
- 8:54SPEAKER_01: I know grandmas are amazing.
- 8:55SPEAKER_01: Hanan, but like the baby showers are for the mothers.
- 8:58SPEAKER_01: Lena's just a hater.
- 8:59SPEAKER_01: I'm not a hater.
- 9:00SPEAKER_03: Maybe we could do a separate thing.
- 9:01SPEAKER_01: It is a separate thing.
- 9:02SPEAKER_01: Okay, who's throwing the grandma shower?
- 9:04SPEAKER_01: I guess her friends.
- 9:05SPEAKER_01: Okay, they want to have a party for their friends to become a grandma.
- 9:10SPEAKER_01: It makes, I mean, I don't know.
- 9:11SPEAKER_01: I think it's it's not about you, grandma.
- 9:13SPEAKER_03: Take a seat.
- 9:14SPEAKER_03: Oh my god.
- 9:15SPEAKER_03: Do you know how many people you're gonna make mad right now?
- 9:17SPEAKER_03: Grandmas, I am with you.
- 9:18SPEAKER_03: I love grandmas.
- 9:19SPEAKER_03: I think grandmas are so important.
- 9:20SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 9:21SPEAKER_01: Listen, I think grandmas should have babies.
- 9:23SPEAKER_03: But let me tell you something.
- 9:24SPEAKER_03: Let me tell you something.
- 9:25SPEAKER_03: If your mom's friends decided to throw her a party because she was gonna be expecting her first grandchild, you're gonna hate, you're gonna be like, mom, this is BS, don't attend this party.
- 9:36SPEAKER_01: I mean, I that's I just don't think it's necessary.
- 9:39SPEAKER_03: I just think it's not about you.
- 9:41SPEAKER_01: Lena sees any fun happening and she's like, stop it! That's not true.
- 9:44SPEAKER_01: Stop that fun right now.
- 9:45SPEAKER_01: Stop that fun.
- 9:45SPEAKER_01: I think let me finish my thought though.
- 9:47SPEAKER_01: I was gonna say, if the grandma is actually gonna be like around and taking care of the baby, then absolutely, by all means, okay?
- 9:54SPEAKER_01: But if she's not taking care of the baby, there is care of the baby.
- 9:57SPEAKER_01: The baby has parents.
- 9:58SPEAKER_01: What if she's a grandma living in like a two states away from the city?
- 10:02SPEAKER_01: Why does she need a baby shower?
- 10:03SPEAKER_03: A lot of grandmas who are living two states away still are very involved in their grandchild's life.
- 10:08SPEAKER_01: That is so you are so judgmental.
- 10:10SPEAKER_01: I'm not judgmental.
- 10:11SPEAKER_01: You are just thinking about the mom.
- 10:13SPEAKER_01: The mom is the one who's getting the most pregnant.
- 10:15SPEAKER_01: All of the regular things.
- 10:16SPEAKER_01: This is just grandma and her friends.
- 10:18SPEAKER_01: Why are you hating?
- 10:19SPEAKER_01: I'm not hating.
- 10:19SPEAKER_01: I just don't see.
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: I mean, unless you're taking care of that baby, unless you're babysitting, why are you having a baby show?
- 10:24SPEAKER_03: No, and first of all, it's not called babysitting, it's called caring for the child.
- 10:27SPEAKER_01: Whatever.
- 10:28SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean.
- 10:29SPEAKER_03: I'm not.
- 10:29SPEAKER_03: I'm just I I just no, I just no, no, I think it's just one of them.
- 10:34SPEAKER_03: A celebration, let them.
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but here's the problem.
- 10:36SPEAKER_01: I think some of these ladies, with all due respect, are making a real hard right now.
- 10:44SPEAKER_03: And people are gonna come.
- 10:45SPEAKER_03: You know what, guys?
- 10:45SPEAKER_03: I'm giving you green light for her.
- 10:47SPEAKER_01: Whatever.
- 10:48SPEAKER_01: I just don't think it's about the grandma.
- 10:50SPEAKER_03: I'm saying your is gonna be helping with the kid by all means.
- 10:54SPEAKER_03: Even if the grandma's not helping with the kid, grandmas, I'm with you.
- 10:57SPEAKER_03: Grandmas, grandpa, whoever wants to have a party because you're expecting a grandchild.
- 11:03SPEAKER_01: No, a party's different.
- 11:04SPEAKER_01: I'm talking about having a registry.
- 11:07SPEAKER_01: For what?
- 11:07SPEAKER_01: What are they registering for?
- 11:08SPEAKER_01: This is what I'm saying.
- 11:09SPEAKER_01: Why are you getting the gifts?
- 11:11SPEAKER_03: Okay, I just want to know what are they registering for?
- 11:13SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 11:14SPEAKER_01: Have you looked up a grandma registry?
- 11:15SPEAKER_01: I don't know what they're registering for.
- 11:17SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 11:17SPEAKER_01: I think you're I think you're full of crap.
- 11:19SPEAKER_01: I'm not full of crap.
- 11:20SPEAKER_01: Hanan, what the hell?
- 11:21SPEAKER_01: Why am I crazy?
- 11:22SPEAKER_01: I think you're hold on.
- 11:23SPEAKER_01: Let me find it for you.
- 11:24SPEAKER_01: I had it, I had it like a couple of things.
- 11:26SPEAKER_03: First of all, first of all, a stock, the library basket with children's books, right?
- 11:33SPEAKER_03: Baking supplies to share her passions with the baby.
- 11:36SPEAKER_03: If you have a hobby.
- 11:38SPEAKER_03: Oh my god, this is huge.
- 11:39SPEAKER_03: This is my favorite.
- 11:40SPEAKER_03: The grandma survival kit, if you're helping, a basket to help her through the transition, so comfortable to shoes, coffee.
- 11:46SPEAKER_03: That's it.
- 11:46SPEAKER_03: I like that.
- 11:47SPEAKER_03: A wisdom book.
- 11:48SPEAKER_03: So then this way all of the grandmas at the party can write down advice for the for the new grandma to be.
- 11:53SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 11:54SPEAKER_01: I'm not alone in my views.
- 11:56SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 11:57SPEAKER_01: Grandma showers are here and they're getting very mixed reviews.
- 12:01SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 12:02SPEAKER_01: I'm not the only one, Hanan.
- 12:03SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 12:04SPEAKER_01: Lots of people think it's not only unnecessary and over the top, but also over the line.
- 12:09SPEAKER_01: Okay?
- 12:10SPEAKER_01: You don't agree?
- 12:11SPEAKER_03: No.
- 12:12SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 12:15SPEAKER_01: I mean, expecting grandparents.
- 12:16SPEAKER_01: Like it's this is baby showers have always been for the expecting parents.
- 12:20SPEAKER_01: I just don't, I don't see the need.
- 12:22SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 12:22SPEAKER_01: Like you can have you can have a dinner, you can have a party, you know.
- 12:26SPEAKER_01: You don't know what people what people are doing.
- 12:29unknown: I don't know.
- 12:30SPEAKER_03: I just don't think it's uh I don't know.
- 12:32SPEAKER_03: I just think you're very focused on that.
- 12:34SPEAKER_03: Honestly, like, yeah, there's gonna be people on either side of this.
- 12:37SPEAKER_03: I'm all for a celebration that has to do, you know.
- 12:40SPEAKER_03: It depends on who is throwing this thing.
- 12:43SPEAKER_03: And there's a lot of there's a lot of ifs, I have a lot of questions.
- 12:46SPEAKER_03: At the same time, how you try to mean you like just also just like doesn't care.
- 12:50SPEAKER_03: I'm just like let the people do what they want.
- 12:52SPEAKER_03: Why we're even obvious why we're even discussing this is beyond me.
- 12:55SPEAKER_01: Because we're gonna disagree, I know.
- 12:57SPEAKER_03: Yeah, because I like fun and I like people to live their lives and you don't.
- 13:02SPEAKER_01: What is new?
- 13:02SPEAKER_01: I think I think it's you know, you're not the one carrying the baby for nine months.
- 13:06SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, guys, you're not the one straight up Lena.
- 13:09SPEAKER_03: You're not anybody, if there is like any hints, if there's a cloud of excitement happening, she's like, run!
- 13:16SPEAKER_01: We have to get rid of the cloud of excitement.
- 13:18SPEAKER_01: You as a grandma, you already had your kids.
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: Take a seat and let's focus on the mother.
- 13:22SPEAKER_01: You know, that's just my point of view.
- 13:24SPEAKER_03: I really hope that you want a grandma shower so bad and that your kids don't want to.
- 13:27SPEAKER_01: I know once my kids get married, Allah sah good bye bye.
- 13:30SPEAKER_01: Go live your life.
- 13:31SPEAKER_01: I'm in chuf.
- 13:32SPEAKER_01: Go live your life.
- 13:33SPEAKER_01: I'm good.
- 13:33SPEAKER_01: She is so full of shit.
- 13:34SPEAKER_01: She's so well.
- 13:35SPEAKER_01: I raise my kids, Alhamdulillah Khalas.
- 13:37SPEAKER_01: That's it.
- 13:37SPEAKER_01: She says that.
- 13:38SPEAKER_03: Once I get to that, once I get to that we can't even take a trip, just the two of us.
- 13:43SPEAKER_03: Because she's like, she's like, I can't leave my children alone.
- 13:46SPEAKER_01: That's not true.
- 13:47SPEAKER_01: That is that is misinformed.
- 13:48SPEAKER_01: Okay, now you know it.
- 13:51SPEAKER_01: Now they're older.
- 13:52SPEAKER_01: Maybe I might.
- 13:52SPEAKER_01: No, now they're older.
- 13:54SPEAKER_01: Okay, I thought I touched your foot.
- 13:55SPEAKER_03: Yeah, now they're older.
- 13:56SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they've been older for a long ass time.
- 13:58SPEAKER_01: They're 15.
- 13:59SPEAKER_01: You act like they're 25.
- 14:00SPEAKER_03: Okay, they've been older long enough to take.
- 14:02SPEAKER_03: I've been I've been taking trips, okay?
- 14:05SPEAKER_01: I take trips.
- 14:06SPEAKER_03: My little one was maybe like three.
- 14:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's you.
- 14:09SPEAKER_01: No, when they're three, there's no way in hell you'd catch me traveling anywhere.
- 14:13SPEAKER_01: Absolutely not.
- 14:14SPEAKER_01: Unless they're coming with me.
- 14:15SPEAKER_01: I mean, I did travel one time for work because I had to.
- 14:18SPEAKER_01: I had no choice.
- 14:19SPEAKER_03: But yeah.
- 14:20SPEAKER_03: No, I I I am very, very I love my alone time.
- 14:23SPEAKER_03: I think it's important.
- 14:24SPEAKER_01: I like my alone time too.
- 14:25SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, not in the house.
- 14:26SPEAKER_03: I need to leave my house.
- 14:27SPEAKER_01: Okay, that's different.
- 14:28SPEAKER_03: I need to leave my house.
- 14:29SPEAKER_03: But, anyways, this all comes back to the point of Lena does not look funny.
- 14:33SPEAKER_01: Anyway, that's not true.
- 14:34SPEAKER_01: Let us know what you guys think in the comments.
- 14:35SPEAKER_01: I just think it's not about you, grandma.
- 14:38SPEAKER_01: Understood, but if grandma's friends are throwing her a party.
- 14:41SPEAKER_01: That's different.
- 14:42SPEAKER_01: That's the but that's what a grandma's.
- 14:43SPEAKER_01: But if the grandma, no, if the grandma's asking to organize a freaking grandma's.
- 14:47SPEAKER_03: I think you're misunderstanding.
- 14:48SPEAKER_03: You're misunderstanding what the thing is.
- 14:51SPEAKER_03: Okay, no.
- 14:51SPEAKER_03: I don't think it's appropriate.
- 14:52SPEAKER_03: No, it's it's very appropriate.
- 14:54SPEAKER_03: I think it's just yeah, no, I I think it's important.
- 14:58SPEAKER_03: I I really think it depends on how this grandma shower is happening.
- 15:01SPEAKER_03: You know what I mean?
- 15:02SPEAKER_01: You need details, you need more information.
- 15:04SPEAKER_03: Absolutely.
- 15:05SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 15:05SPEAKER_03: I think I honestly, if it was up to me, like, okay, I'll take my experience with grandmas, right?
- 15:11SPEAKER_03: Like, my I loved like my grandma lived in a whole other country.
- 15:15SPEAKER_03: Not even like in the same, you're talking about a state.
- 15:17SPEAKER_03: No, I needed to get on a 13-hour flight to go see my grandma.
- 15:20SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 15:20SPEAKER_03: Okay, after I turned 10.
- 15:22SPEAKER_03: Okay, because before that it was just a three-hour flight.
- 15:24SPEAKER_03: She never made me feel like she wasn't the most important part of my life, or I wasn't the most important part of my life.
- 15:31SPEAKER_03: You're you're you're completely taking what I said.
- 15:34SPEAKER_01: Grandma wants to feel important, like she wants to feel loved.
- 15:37SPEAKER_01: She can feel loved.
- 15:38SPEAKER_01: People can come and have a party for her, take her out to lunch, do a brunch, do whatever.
- 15:42SPEAKER_01: But why are you getting gifts for a baby you're not having?
- 15:45SPEAKER_03: It depends on what the gifts are.
- 15:47SPEAKER_03: Like, I like the survival basket idea.
- 15:49SPEAKER_03: If somebody wants to buy me coffee and a mug with my name on it, why are you mad?
- 15:52SPEAKER_03: I'm not mad.
- 15:53SPEAKER_01: I'm just saying, stay in your lane, grandma.
- 15:55SPEAKER_03: No, no.
- 15:56SPEAKER_01: That's all.
- 15:57SPEAKER_01: That's all.
- 15:57SPEAKER_03: I really think, guys, Lena is literally the anti-fun pool.
- 16:01SPEAKER_01: No, that's not true.
- 16:02SPEAKER_01: If, like, let's say they're they're there and they're gonna like take care of the channel.
- 16:07SPEAKER_01: Then yeah, by all means, do it.
- 16:08SPEAKER_03: No.
- 16:10SPEAKER_01: What if they can't take the baby every weekend?
- 16:11SPEAKER_01: You had the child.
- 16:12SPEAKER_01: It's your responsibility.
- 16:13SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 16:14SPEAKER_01: So if I had the child and it's my responsibility, why is this grandma getting all the gifts?
- 16:18SPEAKER_01: Like, somebody.
- 16:18SPEAKER_01: She's not getting all the gifts.
- 16:19SPEAKER_01: You're getting gifts too.
- 16:20SPEAKER_01: No, I don't care.
- 16:21SPEAKER_01: So she's a hater and selfish.
- 16:23SPEAKER_01: I'm not a hater.
- 16:24SPEAKER_03: Like she's just because grandma's getting presents, she's mad at me.
- 16:27SPEAKER_03: We've talked about this way too long.
- 16:29SPEAKER_03: Really, what this results in is that Lena is Lena cannot let people have joy.
- 16:34SPEAKER_01: It's not true.
- 16:35SPEAKER_01: It is so true.
- 16:36SPEAKER_03: If you go back and look at any of our other videos about people and how they practice traditions or not practice traditions, Lena's always like, no, it's not right.
- 16:43SPEAKER_03: No, you can't do it.
- 16:44SPEAKER_03: No, you shouldn't be doing X, Y, and Z.
- 16:46SPEAKER_01: You're still mad about my thoughts on Christmas trees.
- 16:48SPEAKER_01: That's what I'm saying.
- 16:49SPEAKER_01: I really don't care.
- 16:50SPEAKER_01: It's your thoughts.
- 16:51SPEAKER_01: But at the same time, but don't say I don't want people to have fun.
- 16:53SPEAKER_03: No, you don't want people to have fun.
- 16:54SPEAKER_03: No, that's not true.
- 16:55SPEAKER_03: No, no.
- 16:55SPEAKER_03: That's not true.
- 16:56SPEAKER_03: I just have an opinion.
- 16:57SPEAKER_03: I have an opinion.
- 16:58SPEAKER_03: If your daughter came to you and said, I'm putting up a Christmas tree.
- 17:00SPEAKER_01: I'll laugh at her.
- 17:02SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 17:02SPEAKER_01: It's rude.
- 17:03SPEAKER_01: You don't want her to find joy.
- 17:05SPEAKER_01: No, I'm joking.
- 17:06SPEAKER_01: I wouldn't laugh.
- 17:07SPEAKER_01: No, she's not joking.
- 17:08SPEAKER_01: She would laugh at her, and then her daughter's gonna stop talking to her for like three months.
- 17:10SPEAKER_01: My kid, my no, my kid knows.
- 17:12SPEAKER_01: My kid is not about that life either.
- 17:14SPEAKER_03: You know what?
- 17:15SPEAKER_03: You'd be surprised.
- 17:17SPEAKER_03: I cannot, I cannot wait until we're old and great and these kids live on their own so that they can correct all of this information that Lena's putting out there.
- 17:23SPEAKER_03: That's not true.
- 17:24SPEAKER_03: I'm sorry, though.
- 17:25SPEAKER_01: You make me seem like I'm a horrible parent just because I have no idea.
- 17:27SPEAKER_01: No, no, she's not a horrible parent.
- 17:28SPEAKER_01: Just because I have a lot of people.
- 17:29SPEAKER_01: I didn't say you were a horrible parent.
- 17:30SPEAKER_01: I said you don't like fun.
- 17:31SPEAKER_01: Hanan, here's the problem.
- 17:32SPEAKER_01: Hanan says I don't like fun.
- 17:34SPEAKER_01: Hanan will turn me into the villain when I don't agree with her.
- 17:38SPEAKER_01: Nope.
- 17:38unknown: Nope.
- 17:39SPEAKER_01: She really just doesn't.
- 17:40SPEAKER_01: Guys, she doesn't even go out at night.
- 17:42SPEAKER_01: Why is that like you say that listen?
- 17:45SPEAKER_01: It's an accusation.
- 17:46SPEAKER_01: I'm like, oh my God, guys, Lena doesn't go out at night.
- 17:49SPEAKER_01: She doesn't.
- 17:50SPEAKER_01: We I went out with you like a month ago.
- 17:52SPEAKER_01: Was it a month, two months ago?
- 17:54SPEAKER_01: You don't even remember.
- 17:55SPEAKER_01: It was not a month or two months ago.
- 17:57SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 17:57SPEAKER_01: It was August, right?
- 17:59SPEAKER_03: When did you come with me in August?
- 18:01SPEAKER_01: We went to see Mohammed.
- 18:02SPEAKER_01: Okay, that's not what I'm talking about.
- 18:04SPEAKER_01: Willashua.
- 18:05SPEAKER_03: Okay, if I was just like, hey, let's go out tonight.
- 18:06SPEAKER_01: I got home at like 12 that day.
- 18:09SPEAKER_01: Like 11 or 45.
- 18:11SPEAKER_01: That's out at night.
- 18:13SPEAKER_01: It's after nine.
- 18:15SPEAKER_01: Anyway, tell me what your questions are.
- 18:17SPEAKER_03: I'm just, you guys, I just you don't know.
- 18:20SPEAKER_03: Lida just does not like to have fun.
- 18:21SPEAKER_01: That's not true.
- 18:22SPEAKER_01: Don't listen to her.
- 18:22SPEAKER_03: She likes to have fun.
- 18:23SPEAKER_03: You know what she you know what it is?
- 18:24SPEAKER_03: She does like to have fun in very small spurts.
- 18:27SPEAKER_03: I think she fears that if she has too much fun at once, it's not gonna be good for her health.
- 18:31SPEAKER_01: That's not true.
- 18:32SPEAKER_03: It's so is true.
- 18:33SPEAKER_03: That's not true.
- 18:33SPEAKER_03: It's so true.
- 18:34SPEAKER_01: You just prioritize my time.
- 18:36SPEAKER_03: No, you don't prioritize your priority your time doing what?
- 18:38SPEAKER_01: I prioritize like I come see you.
- 18:40SPEAKER_01: That's true, but yeah, and what else?
- 18:42SPEAKER_01: Like literally, there's three people besides my family that I give a shit about in this world.
- 18:45SPEAKER_03: I agree.
- 18:46SPEAKER_03: Like, I'm good.
- 18:46SPEAKER_03: Wonderful, but that's not my question.
- 18:48SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 18:48SPEAKER_03: You said I'd prioritize.
- 18:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 18:50SPEAKER_01: Like, what do you want?
- 18:51SPEAKER_01: Like, should I go out every night?
- 18:52SPEAKER_01: No.
- 18:53SPEAKER_03: Okay, exactly.
- 18:53SPEAKER_03: No, I didn't say go out every night.
- 18:55SPEAKER_03: What are you saying?
- 18:56SPEAKER_03: But all I'm saying is that if I tell Lena, hey, Lena, are you free tomorrow?
- 18:59SPEAKER_03: She's gonna be like, um, I got this and I got that.
- 19:02SPEAKER_03: Do you want to go out, Lena, after eight?
- 19:03SPEAKER_01: You have to No, no, no.
- 19:04SPEAKER_01: See, here's the thing.
- 19:05SPEAKER_01: You're you're not an like I'm kind of a little bit of an introvert, okay?
- 19:09SPEAKER_01: So when you If I tell you tomorrow, I'm gonna call you tomorrow.
- 19:11SPEAKER_01: You know what?
- 19:11SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna call this.
- 19:12SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna call her tomorrow.
- 19:14SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna record this call at like 7:30.
- 19:16SPEAKER_03: Be like, hey, are you free in an hour?
- 19:17SPEAKER_03: She's gonna be like, yeah.
- 19:18SPEAKER_03: If I tell her I'm gonna call you, she's gonna be like, yeah, yeah.
- 19:20SPEAKER_03: Wait until the kids go to sleep.
- 19:22SPEAKER_03: Because I'm hanging out with them, which is fine.
- 19:24SPEAKER_03: I love that, respect it, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 19:25SPEAKER_03: It's gonna be nine o'clock.
- 19:26SPEAKER_03: Hey, Lena, do you want to go out?
- 19:27SPEAKER_03: Maybe I just want to go have a cup of coffee.
- 19:28SPEAKER_03: No, you can't.
- 19:28SPEAKER_03: Maybe I just want to go, you can't.
- 19:30SPEAKER_01: She's gonna be like, um I'm busy sitting on the couch.
- 19:36SPEAKER_01: No, time out, time out.
- 19:37SPEAKER_01: No, you never let me finish my thought.
- 19:38SPEAKER_01: What I'm saying is for people like me, you have to give us four or five days warning.
- 19:43SPEAKER_01: It's just not possible.
- 19:45SPEAKER_01: That's not true.
- 19:46SPEAKER_01: If you give me if you give me two weeks and you say, let's go, let's go.
- 19:49SPEAKER_01: Okay, Alina, in two weeks.
- 19:50SPEAKER_01: Okay, out at night.
- 19:51SPEAKER_03: What time?
- 19:52SPEAKER_03: We're going out at nine.
- 19:54unknown: Nine?
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 19:55SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 19:55SPEAKER_03: That's exactly what I'm talking about.
- 19:57SPEAKER_03: Why does it have to be nine?
- 19:59SPEAKER_03: Because that's what what if that's when my day finishes?
- 20:02SPEAKER_03: Girl, please.
- 20:02SPEAKER_03: It literally, that is when my day finishes.
- 20:04SPEAKER_03: Okay, maybe.
- 20:05SPEAKER_03: Let's talk about it.
- 20:07SPEAKER_03: It's not gonna happen.
- 20:08SPEAKER_03: I'm telling you guys right now, it's not gonna happen.
- 20:10SPEAKER_01: Because she's like, no, I don't know what you're talking about.
- 20:14SPEAKER_01: Okay, I'm gonna do it.
- 20:16SPEAKER_01: It's like, are we fighting on air?
- 20:17SPEAKER_01: We're not fighting, it's just like a conversation.
- 20:19SPEAKER_03: I just think it's funny because she always likes to prove that she's like, no, guys, we're gonna pull somebody these clips and I'm gonna send it to our friends, like our two really good friends, okay?
- 20:29SPEAKER_03: Dana and Kristen.
- 20:30SPEAKER_03: I'm looking at you guys, okay?
- 20:32SPEAKER_01: No, don't get Dana on this because she'll she'll have a field day.
- 20:34SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I'm gonna, I am going to send this to you guys and you tell me, and I will post the text thread.
- 20:40SPEAKER_03: Kristen has my back story.
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: Kristen gets me.
- 20:43SPEAKER_01: Me and Kristen are the same.
- 20:44SPEAKER_01: If I had called Kristen and I said, let's go out, she'd be like, okay, okay, but no, she gets me though.
- 20:49SPEAKER_01: She understands where I'm coming from.
- 20:51SPEAKER_01: Because she's like me.
- 20:52SPEAKER_01: You have to be introverted.
- 20:54SPEAKER_01: No, no, no, but you gotta tell her beforehand.
- 20:57SPEAKER_01: She has to be picked up.
- 20:58SPEAKER_01: I literally told you I'm gonna in two weeks, let's go out right now.
- 21:02SPEAKER_01: You see this?
- 21:02SPEAKER_03: You see this backtracking?
- 21:04SPEAKER_03: You see this backtracking?
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: Oh, backtracking.
- 21:08SPEAKER_00: I said backtracking.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: I said backtracking.
- 21:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I need to put the shaking.
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: Oh, I don't know.
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: Timeout.
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: Okay, let's move on now.
- 21:21SPEAKER_01: Thank you very much.
- 21:22SPEAKER_03: Well, that was fun.
- 21:24SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 21:25SPEAKER_03: Are you ready?
- 21:26SPEAKER_01: I'm ready.
- 21:27SPEAKER_01: I have some questions for you.
- 21:27SPEAKER_01: Usually I'm the one asking.
- 21:28SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 21:29SPEAKER_03: I have some questions for you.
- 21:29SPEAKER_03: I think these are really fun.
- 21:30SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 21:31SPEAKER_01: And I don't know what the hell she's gonna ask.
- 21:32SPEAKER_03: So question number one.
- 21:34SPEAKER_03: If I meant if I meant, if I went missing for a day, okay.
- 21:39SPEAKER_03: Okay, completely.
- 21:40SPEAKER_03: Where would you check first?
- 21:42SPEAKER_01: Where would where where would I check first?
- 21:45SPEAKER_01: Um like at a Shisha place.
- 21:49SPEAKER_01: That's my first thought.
- 21:50SPEAKER_01: What are you gonna do?
- 21:51SPEAKER_01: Go all over the area?
- 21:52SPEAKER_01: Possibly, yeah.
- 21:53SPEAKER_03: Okay, so that's that's a good answer.
- 21:54SPEAKER_03: Or like a makeup store.
- 21:56SPEAKER_03: That's that's also yeah, I haven't been buying makeup as much as I used to, by the way.
- 21:59SPEAKER_03: I have.
- 22:00SPEAKER_03: Like in the last like three, four years, I haven't.
- 22:02SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 22:02SPEAKER_03: I only buy like what I need.
- 22:04SPEAKER_03: I I decided that I'm gonna be more um like better about my makeup.
- 22:09SPEAKER_03: Project Pan, like where you use everything until it actually finishes.
- 22:12SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 22:13SPEAKER_03: Instead of like rebuying stuff.
- 22:14SPEAKER_03: So that's good.
- 22:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 22:15SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's nice actually.
- 22:16SPEAKER_03: You end up saving a lot of money.
- 22:18SPEAKER_03: Um, okay.
- 22:19SPEAKER_03: If somebody asked you what I'm definitely not good at, what would you say?
- 22:24SPEAKER_01: Riding a bike.
- 22:25SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's true, because I can't ride a bike.
- 22:27SPEAKER_03: Good for you.
- 22:27SPEAKER_03: That's a good answer.
- 22:28SPEAKER_03: Good answer.
- 22:29SPEAKER_03: Good answer.
- 22:30SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 22:31SPEAKER_01: So also saying, sorry, and also staying calm.
- 22:35SPEAKER_01: You're not good at staying calm.
- 22:36SPEAKER_03: No, no, no.
- 22:37SPEAKER_03: No, not at all.
- 22:38SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 22:39SPEAKER_03: If I started a cult, what would our daily ritual be?
- 22:44SPEAKER_01: Um iced coffee.
- 22:46SPEAKER_03: Uh-huh.
- 22:47SPEAKER_01: Uh, like hair and makeup, pedicures and manicures every day.
- 22:52unknown: Yes, every day.
- 22:54SPEAKER_01: Okay, like coffee, positive affirmations.
- 22:57SPEAKER_01: Positive affirmations.
- 22:58SPEAKER_01: Um, I want to kill myself.
- 23:00SPEAKER_01: I would not be a part of that call.
- 23:02SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah.
- 23:03SPEAKER_03: You have okay, that's really good.
- 23:04SPEAKER_03: I like that a lot.
- 23:05SPEAKER_01: Iced coffee for sure.
- 23:06SPEAKER_03: Iced coffee for sure.
- 23:07SPEAKER_03: That's like, yeah, winter, spring, summer, fall.
- 23:09SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 23:10SPEAKER_03: So if I sent her a text and I said, Oh my god, I just did something stupid, what would your first guess be?
- 23:17SPEAKER_01: Um, you did something stupid.
- 23:19SPEAKER_01: You don't usually do something stupid.
- 23:21SPEAKER_01: Um it would have to be like I know it would be about you, maybe possibly, because you're very smart in everything you do.
- 23:30SPEAKER_03: Thank you.
- 23:31SPEAKER_01: But if you said if you send me that text, it would have to be some sort of like you talking shit about someone and that someone finding out by mistake.
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes, I know you.
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: Don't leave me here.
- 23:45SPEAKER_01: Yes, yes.

- 23:50SPEAKER_03: It's not gonna like so here's the thing, it's not even it's it's like usually even when it's when she says talking shit, it's really not talking shit.
- 23:56SPEAKER_03: It's like when you send a text message and you mean to send it to somebody else, but then you send it to the wrong person, that's the wrong group.
- 24:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's something I'm definitely guilty of.
- 24:04SPEAKER_01: That would be you, yeah.
- 24:05SPEAKER_03: That would be you.
- 24:06SPEAKER_03: Okay, last question.
- 24:07SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 24:08SPEAKER_03: If the FBI came knocking at your door to ask you questions about me, what do you think like I would be like?
- 24:14SPEAKER_03: They'd be like, what's the reason they'd be looking for me?
- 24:18SPEAKER_01: What's the reason they've I don't think they'd be looking for you though.
- 24:22SPEAKER_03: But they're at your door.
- 24:23SPEAKER_03: They knocked at your door and they're like, Do you know this woman?
- 24:26SPEAKER_01: It's because maybe you were caught helping someone who's maybe not legal in this country.
- 24:32SPEAKER_01: I mean, uh, that's you'd be helping someone in need, and regardless of what you know, seriously.
- 24:38SPEAKER_01: That would be it.
- 24:39SPEAKER_01: That would be it.
- 24:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Lena would be like, I don't know who that is.
- 24:42SPEAKER_01: I'd be like, no, I don't know.
- 24:43SPEAKER_01: I haven't seen her, haven't spoken to her, don't know where she's at, and you'll probably be in the basement.
- 24:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 24:47SPEAKER_01: I'd be like, Lena.
- 24:49SPEAKER_03: Well, now that the FBI knows my plans.
- 24:51SPEAKER_03: Yeah, well, no, but yeah, don't worry.
- 24:53SPEAKER_01: I got you, Bob.
- 24:54SPEAKER_01: You did a good job.

- 25:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah, oh my god, did we not did we just behave like we did a reel and we just stopped filming the episode?
