- Mark Hayes (00:01.55) Alright, ladies and gentlemen, welcome back. Another exciting edition of Two Men in Black and White. And yes, here comes the dog. As soon as we start talking, he comes squealing, talking his noise. Anyway, my mayor Brock and Ellis joins me from the lovely confines of the upper Hudson Ribbon Valley. I'm here in the ATL shouting. Alright, let's get right to it, Brock. The ugly, ugly display on the White House lawn that defiled the people's house with the just Brock Ganeles (00:15.707) you Mark Hayes (00:31.042) Disgusting language and the smear at Michelle Obama is now coming with consequences and reaper fucking cushions. Brock and Ellis joins me now, and Brock, hey, this this is what should happen. When you smear the the I mean, what was the purpose of that smear? It had no place in that event. Brock Ganeles (00:56.795) Boop. Mark Hayes (01:01.046) So, you know what? If you attended that event, which was all about hate and payback and disdain for others, you deserve whatever happens to you. You know what? Like you said, Brock, you are no longer welcome in polite society. You can't make that statement and there not be something wrong with it. And you are not held to account. That's what the Trump administration Brock Ganeles (01:10.03) you Mark Hayes (01:31.636) is not ready for. They're not ready to be held accountable because being held accountable means they go to jail. Brock Ganeles (01:41.029) The UFC event was, you were just saying yesterday about how there's like such a simple decision every American citizen gets to make right now, right? You're going to go with the joyousness, the love, the camaraderie, the multiculturalism so embodied by what's going on in New York City or sort of the hate and bitterness that MAGA brings to the table every single day. And the UFC event just reflected that, right? Trump's birthday was like a hate filled event, right? Cause that's who he is. And when you unleash the ugly and that's what you're about, you're going to get assholes who make random racist comments because they think they're playing to an audience that's going to lap it up. And if you chose to be there as a guest, you knew what you were walking into. You can't pretend. Mark Hayes (02:15.661) Yep. Mark Hayes (02:36.895) Yep. Brock Ganeles (02:39.092) anymore that you don't know what Trump and MAGA are all about. If you're a corporate sponsor, you're going to pretend you don't know what you're putting your money and your brand behind. You fucking absolutely know and you've made a choice and you've made a decision. There's no middle ground. There's no straddling the fence in America anymore. You made a decision and you're at this shitty event. Mark Hayes (02:45.239) Right. Mark Hayes (02:55.574) Right. Mark Hayes (03:00.78) Mm. Brock Ganeles (03:09.326) with racism and misogyny and anger just, you know, oozing out of everyone who was there. And I'm just like, fuck anyone who showed up. You have no justification for it. You're just telling me who you are and I want no part of you. Mark Hayes (03:09.505) Yeah. Mark Hayes (03:13.933) Yep. Mark Hayes (03:20.556) Yeah. Mark Hayes (03:27.328) Right. Right. Brock, I was talking about consequences and repercussion. That jackass UFC fighter that Dana White was interviewing, who made that smear against Michelle Obama. I'm hearing that there's talk that the Obamas are considering filing a suit, a lawsuit. And remember what the Trump administration was famous for. Just making you defend it. They didn't care if they won or not. They knew that it would bankrupt you to get hammered in litigation. And maybe that's the purpose. Maybe that's what one person needs to go and tell that story. I'm broke because I tried to defend this fucking stupid comment as my right to free speech. Right? You don't have a right to smear people just because you think it's cool, it's gonna make you popular, you're gonna go viral. You went viral as an asshole. That's what you win. So, you know, and these sponsors, you know, Bud Light Monster, Monster Energy Drink. If you haven't seen the Jon Stewart bit on the Daily Show, it's worth watching. It's funny as fuck. And it really calls out the people who participated. The people we have an issue not the people who threw it. We already know they were incorrigible. The people who fucking participated. Brock Ganeles (05:07.79) Yeah, but Dana White and UFC is knee deep in this shit. Bud Light, which sort of had a quote of controversy because they had a trans person endorse them a couple years ago, is now trying to like scramble back and curry favor with the fucking American Nazis. So they swung the pendulum back the other way. The consequences these sponsors should get is the boycott, right? Mark Hayes (05:11.864) Yeah. Mark Hayes (05:17.581) Right. Mark Hayes (05:25.038) Yeah. Why? Why? Mark Hayes (05:34.552) Well. Brock Ganeles (05:35.49) I'm not a Bud Light guy anyway, so right that's already I've had a probably 20 year boycott of Bud Light just for not liking it. But Monster? Done. Done. Not, you know, there's plenty other fucking energy drinks in that refrigerator, right? That you can, at the Deli, that you can choose from. Mark Hayes (05:46.946) Got Mark Hayes (05:54.691) You think Red Bull would have put their name on an on a fucking bullshit affair like that? Well that's it. Brock Ganeles (05:59.182) I hope not. trust anyone in corporate America. I trust Ben and Jerry's in Patagonia. After that, I don't really trust anyone else in corporate America. Mark Hayes (06:11.724) That's it. They they're the only ones that are trustworthy at this point. That have have walked the walk and talk the talk. they put their money where their mouth is. And you know what? People are still buying their products. Right? I'm looking, I'm constantly looking for Patagonia shit to buy. I've been supporting them ever since they took a stand in fucking Trump 1.0. Brock Ganeles (06:33.87) Yeah, I would hope a Red Bull wouldn't go that route, but I don't know. I don't know the people involved. and I don't trust the profit motive. And I just feel like if they think they can get a benefit out of Trump, they'll in their mind, justify it as well. My job is to do what's best for the business. therefore occurring favor with Trump is what's best for the business. Mark Hayes (06:37.868) Brand is too big. Right. Brock Ganeles (07:01.826) And that's what I need to do for my shareholders as if nothing else in society or life matters. But the dollar in the pocket and being a corporate citizen means nothing to them. So they're going to suck up to a white supremacist president till Trump dies or gets fucking ousted. And then they're going to come crawling back for the 70 percent of us who are like, what the fuck were you doing? Mark Hayes (07:08.898) Well you know right. Mark Hayes (07:30.336) Right. Right. But Brock, look at some of these names. We already, you know, talked about Bud Light and the Dylan Mulvaney scandal. You got Monster, okay, a competitor would be Red Bull. Ram trucks. Think of the competition for Ram trucks. None of them would want their brand seen at some shit like this. Right? I mean Ram trucks is a well-known brand. I'm not buying a fucking Ram truck ever. you got polymarketing. Brock Ganeles (07:59.471) Is that Ford or is that who is is Ram trucks? I don't even know. No, it's Yam. Mark Hayes (08:03.116) Retro isn't that GM? I think so. and then you got Scott Hillton. Brock Ganeles (08:08.558) You know, they're selling trucks in middle America. They think they want red America buying their trucks, right? They're just making a judgment business call. They want that fucking red neck with four gun, the gun rack on the back of his truck was driving around Mississippi where I just came from. They want that's their customer. They don't care if they're taking your fucking voting rights, right? They don't care if that guy is board MAGA, on board MAGA. Mark Hayes (08:14.071) No fuck it. I hope so. Mark Hayes (08:30.275) Right. Brock Ganeles (08:36.75) to take your fucking voting rights away. Ram Trucks doesn't give a fuck about your voting rights, Mark. Mark Hayes (08:37.548) Yeah. No, they don't. And then you got Scott's Miracle Grow, plenty of options in the fertilizer aisle. so fuck them. And crypto dot com. So, you know, and I hear these UFC fighters are being paid in crypto. So they're probably not gonna pay taxes. but yeah, but fuck all these, you know, these sponsors. They're all quiet now after the the Michelle Obama smear, right? Now they want to distance themselves and and give it to Heisman. No, fucker. You were part of the event that smeared one of the most beloved first ladies in American history. In American history. I mean, that that's the bottom line. So fuck fucking you. You know, we talked about Serena's husband being at this event, you know, the the creator of Reddit, right? How do you square that, Brock? How do you go home and tell your your African American wife and children that you supported, you know, a smear on one of the most beloved figures, not just first ladies. figures in American history. Right up there with Hillary Clinton as one of the smartest and most educated first ladies in history. I I mean Brock Ganeles (10:10.254) Michelle Obama polls as the most popular person in American politics. Mark Hayes (10:16.814) Period. Period. Brock Ganeles (10:22.354) what's he, mean, clearly Serena Williams knew what her husband was doing that night, right? He didn't just disappear, fly to DC, rogue, not tell his wife and go to a Trump party on the White House lawn. She knew. Mark Hayes (10:30.282) Mm. Brock Ganeles (10:40.684) she was clearly on board with it. I think it's Serena Williams has a, in my mind has a problem and should have a problem with the left, the resistance, certainly the black community. I imagine she does cause what the fuck are you endorsing Trump for and attending is endorsing. Mark Hayes (10:41.55) Right. Mark Hayes (11:02.082) Yep. Yep. Now, Brock, let's unpack this a little bit. Think about where Serena and Venus have come from. Now, I don't know what they've done back in the hood since they've left and since they've achieved all their notoriety, fame, and riches. But what I do know is that South Central LA is still struggling. Right? There is no affordability in South Central LA. I don't know about private tennis programs in South Central LA that allow for minority figures and minority kids to come and take free tennis lessons. Remember, these two young ladies were dodging bullets, and their father was getting punched in the face by gang members. While they were becoming superstars and realizing the American dream. And now they're okay, right? Because you're comp you're complicit by having your husband attend. Right? He didn't get in for free. I'm sure there was a fancy ticket involved with some platinum-level seating. You know, Alexis O'Henya's not sitting in the back. So, you know, what do you tell those African American kids, those African Americans who live in your house? What do you tell the hood that you're okay with their voting rights being taken away? What do you tell the men and women from South Central who you've never visited in the penitentiary because they felt they had no way out and they didn't have a father? who sacrificed everything to put them on the tennis court and had the wherewithal at four and five years old to make them hit balls until they couldn't see anymore. Brock Ganeles (13:03.876) Mark, think being complicit is saying nothing. Attending is being supportive. It's a next step over, right? Remaining quiet is complicity. That's an active decision to support. It's next level and you're just showing who you are. And even if you cut checks for free tennis lessons in the hood, this is the shit that's free. Mark Hayes (13:09.718) Yeah, absolutely. Right, right. No absolutely not. Mark Hayes (13:33.324) Right. Brock Ganeles (13:33.679) Free is being a leader. costs you nothing, right? You don't have to cut checks for it. What's free is refusing to go and making a statement doesn't cost you a nickel. It's just it's where are you in your head and your heart? Like where is it at? And apparently it's in a place that somehow maybe it advantages you. You see some economic advantage down the road. Mark Hayes (13:37.844) Right. Right. Mark Hayes (13:46.551) Right. Mark Hayes (13:52.77) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (14:03.64) perhaps or maybe you just believe it maybe you're just MAGA adjacent yourself if not hardcore MAGA you don't mind that you don't mind that all the brown people in your community getting thrown an ICE detention center maybe you're on the side of the National Guard coming into LA and cracking heads and throwing people and tossing them out and flying them to countries they never heard of maybe she's on board with that because by attending Mark Hayes (14:10.284) Right. Right. Mark Hayes (14:16.77) Get screwed. Mark Hayes (14:23.448) Mm. Mark Hayes (14:29.356) Right. Brock Ganeles (14:32.898) in a vent at the White House. You're telling me you're on board with it because if you weren't on board with it, you would refuse to go. It's as simple as that. Like it's a pretty simple decision. You're on board with it. So now you're going to backtrack and say you're not on board with it. but you're on board with the person who's implementing that policy. Mark Hayes (14:38.23) Right. Mark Hayes (14:42.038) Right. Mark Hayes (14:47.224) Right. Mark Hayes (14:56.557) Yep. Brock Ganeles (14:57.124) You're not important with the person who's implementing the policy, but somehow you're distancing yourself from it. There's no daylight. You're fucking there. Mark Hayes (15:04.428) No, no. Fuck no. And here's the thing: you know, Venus and Serena have a sibling that was murdered in their community. Right? They know the scourge of wanton violence in their community. They know the scourge of crack cocaine because they grew up looking at members of their family who were addicted to crack cocaine. I don't know if you've seen the movie Snowfall. But you know, that that was a government introduced program with crack cocaine. And Iran-Contra and all the inner workings and secret society of our American government, much to the detriment of black America, right? Because the crack cocaine epidemic started, and we didn't treat that as a health issue. It was a crime issue. But remember, when we had the opioid crisis, we couldn't arrest our way out of that like we did with crack cocaine. We had to make it a health issue. If you were addicted to opioids, you got medical help. You got intervention. If you were addicted to crack cocaine, you got jail and jail time. And Venus and Serena know that better than anyone. And I don't care who you love: white, black, green, I I could give a shit. But your eyes. Have seen the devastation up close and personal, and you felt it, and you still are okay with the guy who's not gonna differentiate when ICE comes knocking at your door or down in in the LA Garment District where you might happen to be, and they notice your brown children and decide to snatch them because they're not sure if they're American citizens. Mark Hayes (16:58.334) Okay, how does that policy work for you? Because who's next, Brock? They're still buying up these these these fucking warehouses. Who are they gonna put in there? How many illegal immigrants do we have? I know we got forty million black people in this country. Brock Ganeles (17:13.752) Now they're trying to change the laws and the rules on who is actually a citizen so they can strip citizenship and then they can start throwing more people in the detention centers, right? They gotta make it legal. So they're trying to make it legal. But we're kind in the rabbit hole of the anger and the hate and the bitterness that MAGA and Trump bring to the table, you know, which pulls us away from the joy and the absolute like the unleashing of emotion. Mark Hayes (17:21.614) Well. Hello. Yeah. Brock Ganeles (17:44.109) and positivity that is still just oozing out of New York City on in essence day three now or two and a half after their basketball championship that is more of a coronation of a way of life that I still think will ultimately triumph over the negativity, anger and hate that is just in Mark Hayes (17:47.017) Brock Ganeles (18:13.962) emblematic of any Trump event as soon as he goes there he sucks the life out of it and the oxygen out of the room and the joy out of the environment as he did one of the five games that the Knicks played in the championship and the rest were just joy fests and it's just continues to be amazing to see how many Mark Hayes (18:30.893) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (18:42.754) New Yorkers, whether they're still in the city or across the country in the world, are flocking to social media. This is the flip side. Good thing about social media and posting their feelings about what the Knicks and what they've learned and what it means for the relationship and how it's going to change the way they approach their careers in terms of perseverance. Mark Hayes (18:53.814) Mm. Mark Hayes (19:00.909) Yeah. Mark Hayes (19:08.686) Yep. Brock Ganeles (19:11.084) and the lessons learned and the mothers that are coming online to talk about how they want to use this as a life lesson for their children about grit and Mark Hayes (19:21.422) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (19:26.542) hard work and teamwork and love and togetherness. saw a whole clip about a woman talking about how it just kind of reinforced to her how important work relationships are to find people that you work with that you can trust and care about. And she learned that from the Knicks and it made her think about her work relationships. It's had a cathartic effect on so many people. Mark Hayes (19:26.604) Determination. Mm-hmm. Brock Ganeles (19:53.559) in the way that fucking Trump event doesn't. A Trump event is controversy and clickbait and racism and misogyny and hate and trying to put people down and rage and separating of all of us. And we're fueled by hating you. You some woman, it hasn't even been in the fucking public eye in 10 years, but you're black. So I'm going after you still. Cause I need to feel Mark Hayes (20:03.084) Rage. Mark Hayes (20:20.098) Right. Brock Ganeles (20:22.19) better about myself by putting you down in this white supremacy mindset versus New York that's embracing the multicultural, multiracial aspect of their neighborhoods and society and reminding reminding themselves that this is what makes America great and wanting to export the feeling to everybody else. What feelings being exported with Dana White Mark Hayes (20:27.992) Mm. Mark Hayes (20:48.023) Right. Brock Ganeles (20:51.384) and a fucking Yahoo UFC guy making a racist comment about Michelle Obama. What, Mark Hayes (20:56.834) Who we've never heard of. I never heard of that fucking guy. Brock Ganeles (21:00.728) I still don't know his name. I don't know. I'll never know his name. Mark Hayes (21:02.378) No. No. I'm not looking his fucking name up. Brock Ganeles (21:06.094) some random fucking mixed martial arts fighter? Mark Hayes (21:09.738) Right. Right. And you know, it's funny too. Brock Ganeles (21:11.736) That's the guy that got the microphone in a MAGA event. That's the guy that that gets promoted at their event and gets the opportunity to speak his piece. Mark Hayes (21:18.915) Yeah. Yep. It's ridiculous. It makes no sense. And you know, that's why and again, the Knicks, speaking for all of us, when they decline the invitation to the White House. We're champions. We don't want to be around you. What are you gonna do? Feed us McDonald's? We get fucking McDonald's anywhere. Go to the White House and get cheeseburgers and cold French fries. Fucking, you know, iced down Coca-Cola. We don't need that. What's what w all you gonna do is sit there and talk shit and make it about yourself. You know, the game we lost, you're gonna sit there and making a fucking excuse. You're probably gonna probably gonna blame them for not sweeping San Antonio while he was there. Fucker. Brock Ganeles (22:06.2) Well, they're refusing to support Trump. They know what showing up would mean. And they're not doing it because they represent New York and New Yorkers who don't want them to do it. They would ruin the entire vibe of what they just created if they went to the White House. Apparently, clearly they're smart enough to know that. But you know what? That's just an example for everyone else. Stop playing along. Mark Hayes (22:13.26) Right. Mark Hayes (22:19.715) Yeah. Mark Hayes (22:26.094) I think. Brock Ganeles (22:35.0) with Magus stop playing footsie stop pretending like it's not as bad as it is stop pretending like there's like I can honor the presidency is there's some other ground to stand on except direct opposition that's the only ground left to stand on is confrontation everything else has been lost give them point it Mark Hayes (22:41.088) as it is when Mark Hayes (22:56.332) Right. Right. If you go in here. Yep. And if you go into a situation like this trying to Jackson dart it, right, you're gonna end up with consequences and repercussion. He'll never sell a car in New York. You see John Stark's Kia. He'll he'll never be marketable in the tri-state area. Remember, we we said it's not just New York. It's Jersey and Connecticut. Depending how far south you go in Jersey and how far north you go in Connecticut. We all watch the same television stations, right? We're all gonna be sitting there watching it or in person watching the joy of. The joy, the joy and happiness after 53 years of there's 52-year adults out here who've never seen the New York Knicks championship, but they're gonna see what it looks like in all its gala. I saw a Dominican clip today of a Dominican party, you know, just celebrating the New York Knicks. I mean Everybody from every neighborhood and every culture is embracing our city. And Brock, I forget. Can I claim it? I mean I was born in the Bronx, but I okay, here we go. There we go. So Brock Ganeles (24:16.074) Absolutely, you could claim it. Shit, you have birthright citizenship. You're more New York than me. I probably lived in this city longer than you, I wasn't born in New York City. Mark Hayes (24:27.598) And and and you know, Brock, the thing about it is New Yorkers have embraced anyone who wants to love it. Right? Like, you know, we we say all the time, Buffalo ain't New York. Hey, are you in love with the Knicks this week? Come on down. We will embrace you from, you know, the Canadian border up there near near Vermont. Brock Ganeles (24:49.594) Mark, going back to the point, Jackson Dart doesn't have, Jackson Dart has one chance. Jackson Dart will not survive in New York City. Unless, unless, and he has the opportunity to do this, but I doubt it's in his heart. Unless he does a full 180. Mia Culpa. Mark Hayes (24:55.246) Yeah. Mark Hayes (25:00.714) No, you can't. Not especially. Brock Ganeles (25:17.004) and says, I learned some shit. I sat down with Abdul Carter. I sat down with my black teammates. I talked to them at a different level, not about football Xs and Os. I talked about life with them. I've learned from this. I will be better going forward. I made a mistake. I apologize for introducing Donald Trump at that rally. Mark Hayes (25:20.386) Not even. Mark Hayes (25:30.39) Like Yep. Mark Hayes (25:35.522) Yeah. Mark Hayes (25:39.501) Yeah. Mark Hayes (25:44.94) Yep. Yep. And tacitly supporting him. Brock Ganeles (25:46.527) And hey, I was brought up a certain way to think a certain way, but you know what? Now I've learned. I'm out of that bubble, the Southern bubble. I'm learning. I'm evolving as a person. Give me a chance. Let me prove it to you. It's his only way. Other than that, he's a fucking racist quarterback for the New York Giants. That's the way I view him. And fuck him. I'm rooting against him. I don't even fucking give a shit about the NFL. I'm rooting to fucking against him. I want to throw three picks in the first game. I want them booing him in a heartbeat. Unless I hear the Mia culpa, Mark Hayes (25:55.743) Right. Right. Right. Yeah. Yeah. Mark Hayes (26:09.64) all day. Mark Hayes (26:13.716) All day. Yep. Brock Ganeles (26:15.854) Go sign with the Saints, Go sign with, go find a team in Texas. Mark Hayes (26:18.262) Hey. Go find fucking Florida. Yeah. Go to fucking Florida. G give a shit. But you're not gonna play down there. They all got quarterback. Jacksonville, Miami, and and fucking Tampa Bay all have fucking, you know, signature quarterbacks that he's not unseating. So, you know, we haven't seen any You know, turned by Jackson Dart. Because you know what? If I'm the Giants PR staff, I've got him out at the Dominican Rec Center. I've got him over at the Puerto Rican Day Parade, which was just the other day. I've got him over in the Bronx at the Gauchos basketball arena. I've got him out in Brooklyn, right? At Junior's Cheesecake Establishment, trying to understand the city and the people and the cultures. That makes New York City the world's premier melting pot. We haven't seen any of that. We haven't even heard of talk of anything like that. So that means he don't give a fuck. So that means he's gonna be getting booed mercilessly every incompletion he throws. And then that puts pressure. Brock Ganeles (27:30.17) It's not who he is. He's not there because he's not who he is. He's not curious about it. doesn't care about it. That's not who he is. So, hey, he can be as authentic self. He's just not going to survive in a city that has now expressed to the world. It's the greatest city in the world because of its multiculturalism reflected through this team. And it just has New York thinking and talking about all the ways in which it's so great. Mark Hayes (27:34.23) Right. Right. Mark Hayes (27:45.986) Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Brock Ganeles (27:59.299) because of the mosaic of people that are there that are all accepted and all you have to do is come to New York with enough grit and hard work to want to make it there and you'll be respected and as long as you respect everybody else around you and you'll be respected and Jackson Dart doesn't respect everyone around him. How's he sitting there looking and watching 10 million people sports fans on the streets? Mark Hayes (28:09.326) Yep. Mark Hayes (28:17.164) You'll be respected. Yep. Mark Hayes (28:28.428) Yep. Yep. Does he think those fans don't like football? Cause we do. And d d does he think the the city would not be going crazy if we weren't in the fucking Super Bowl? I mean, come on, dude. We've seen giant Super Bowl parades. They've been insane. So I d I hey look, you either learn a lesson or you suffer. When you get in situations like that. And he's not willing to do the unless part that you just spoke about. He's not willing to do a 180 and turn his back on white supremacy. Even though he's still Reaps the benefits and advantages of all. His parents have reaped the benefits and the advantages. Whatever that relative he spoke about that went to the Air Force Academy has reaped all the benefits and privileges of the white privilege. And yet it's still not gonna. You still have to support a hateful fucking bigot. Will while you work with 80% of a minority who he'd love to take away everyone in their families' voting rights and every one of their citizenship. That's what this 14th Amendment thing is about. We gotta keep our eye on that, bruh. Because I may be doing this podcast from behind bars, right? With with no due process. Right? Because if it becomes law, bro. I got my passport. I got my passport. And I'm heading south. I'm running for the border. I know where the bus is, headed to Juarez, headed to Mexico, to the crossing. I know where to catch it. Brock Ganeles (30:18.956) Once you lose the citizenship, then you're here illegally, you're here come the mass marauders in the van and their AK-47s and you're in a detention center. And for-profit companies making money off of you while you fucking wither away to die. And if you do die, no one's keeping track anymore. you know, Jackson Dart is just an example, but that's who he is. That's his circle. So he's not going to change until... Mark Hayes (30:28.322) Yep. Yep. Mark Hayes (30:39.373) Nope. Mark Hayes (30:44.812) Yeah. Yeah. Brock Ganeles (30:49.134) The light bulb goes on, but he doesn't have a lot of time to work with. This is the Trump era. No one has a lot of time to come around. It's the here and now. Mark Hayes (30:53.752) No Mark Hayes (30:57.998) Yep. So Yeah, man. you got a quick hit for me? Brock Ganeles (31:08.346) I got a quick hit. The one guy who's kinda coming out of our, we're gonna stay in sports world a little bit. The person coming out of this that's not looking good is Victor Wembenaya. What did you think about Wembenaya walking right off the court at the final buzzer and not shaking any hands after the game? Were you okay with the, it was emotional moment for him, young kid, couldn't really handle the moment? Mark Hayes (31:14.017) Okay. Mark Hayes (31:18.54) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (31:38.202) Or are you from the... Are you from the come on dude? You know? Mark Hayes (31:40.046) Yeah, okay. Mark Hayes (31:44.225) I'm on the be better than that. I'm on that be better than that shit. I'm with the shits on this. You watch any hockey playoff series in the NHL. Far more physical than that bullshit Wimbenyama was engaged in. And those guys line up and shake hands at the end of, you know, a seven-game series where people hated each other like they slapped somebody's mama. And they line up and shake hands. You mean to tell me you just got beat by one of the greatest playoff runs in history, and you're not enough of a basketball aficionado to appreciate the greatness you just saw? And then you carry it to the podium with you and make some snag comment, get up and drop the mic like you was ballin'? Hey, when push came to shove, homeboy, you didn't put the team on your back though. You had 19 points. You needed 30 for the Spurs to win. And you couldn't do it. So shut up. Stop being a baby. Be better than that. And show these little kids that are running around with your jersey on how to be a sportsman, how to be an adult, how to lose graciously and gracefully. Because now You're the every time he comes to New York, he needs one of those umbrella hats. Because people are gonna be throwing tomatoes and every other fruit they can get their hands on at him. The way he got the guy kicked out of the Ritz-Carlton, I mean he was baby talk the whole time he was in New York. The whole series. What he did to Big Body Brunson, mashing him on the side of the head and in the face. You know, the elbows he the elbow he threw, you know, over and over again. You know, we'll chop you down the size in New York. You may start out the game at at six at seven six, but he was six six when we got finished. And he was a non-fucking factor down the stretch because he was exhausted and worn out from the fight he had been in. Mark Hayes (34:03.404) He just didn't know the Warriors were coming out to play. Line from a great movie there. Brock Ganeles (34:12.492) Okay, so you're like, what comes with the territory is you lose with class. Lose with class and therefore when your time comes and you win, we're going to respect the fact that you can handle competition. You can handle competition. You're mature enough to handle competition because you can take it both ways. Mark Hayes (34:19.06) A lot of times. Yep. Mark Hayes (34:31.702) Yeah. Mark Hayes (34:38.028) Yeah. He was a sore loser loser in the Olympics. He expected to beat, you know, a collection of our fifteen best. W how the hell did he think that was gonna happen? He cried the daily after the Olympic. Brock Ganeles (34:49.208) Okay. I'm with it. You did read it's a good reminder on hockey because hockey just had its final and how the tradition of that. and it was really juxtaposed posed by the fact that Brunson went over and shook their other coaches hand is the first thing that he did after winning was to acknowledge the other coach before he, yeah, before he even started his celebrating. Okay. What do you got for me? Mark Hayes (34:58.445) Yep. Mark Hayes (35:05.624) Yep. Embraced Mitch. Yeah. Mark Hayes (35:15.136) Yeah. Lee County, just north of Albany, Georgia, famous for arresting Dr. King and his lieutenants multiple times. And just north of the city of Albany is a city called Leesburg, Georgia. You may have heard about the little conundrum they had down there. The fire chief. Decided he was gonna rip roar and ruin an African American family's family reunion. So he sped by the home several times and wasn't getting the reaction he was looking for, so he went home, got his AR-15, and came back and started shooting. At a party with 20 African American children in attendance. You see video from the children inside the house, running around, ducking for cover. What he didn't know was that was a family of Marines. Who returned fire and shot his ass even with his bulletproof vest on. when he and his wife went home, they got his bulletproof vest also with his AR-15. The fire chief firing AR-15 rounds at a family reunion just because he didn't like the sight of so many black people in one place. He was shot. Brock Ganeles (36:36.118) Wow. When did he die? Mark Hayes (36:39.628) This was over the weekend. He was shot, right? And arrested. And Brock, he bailed himself out. His bail, his bail for firing AR fifteen rounds at a family sitting around enjoying each other's company was five thousand dollars. Brock Ganeles (37:07.118) Why was he even offered bail? How is he not a danger to the community? Mark Hayes (37:11.698) he was only charged with like assault. Wasn't he wasn't charged with twenty counts of attempted murder. Brock Ganeles (37:19.332) Yeah, not assault with deadly weapon, not attempted murder. Mark Hayes (37:21.782) Not assault with deadly weapon. Now, I know from experience that when an African American commits a crime, they pile up the felonies. Right? So let's see. You have operation of a vehicle in the commission of a crime. You have the discharge of a weapon in the commission of a crime. You have reckless discharge of a weapon. You have attempted assault, aggravated assault. And since everybody was home, you get thirty-seven counts because there were seventeen adults and twenty children. Where are those charges? Right when they put charges on my kid, that's how they added them up. It was a freefer. Brock Ganeles (38:04.268) I mean, and this is a great one for all those people who have rule of law, rule of law, rule of law. Like rule of law is a fraud because if it's not, you know, executed in a just manner and a fair manner and equitable manner, you don't really have rule of law. You have words on paper and then you have real shit that goes down, right? Well, that's, that's some story, man. Mark Hayes (38:20.334) How is it long? Mark Hayes (38:25.037) You don't have a lot. Rob, I'm on the internet today. I'm in the internet today looking to see if he's lost his job. Nothing. Nothing. Quick story. That's right around the corner from Plains, Georgia. Right around the corner from America's Georgia. We're the assistant fire chief. Back in nineteen ninety-two, when I walked in and asked them what they thought about renaming the street in America's after Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. And I initially asked him for a haircut. He told me he couldn't cut my kind of hair, but he could rub it off with a brick. And then he said, Boy, what do you want? What you what why are you coming in here? And I said, Well, I just came to see, you know. What you thought about them renaming the street right in front of your shop after Dr. Martin Luther King. He said, Well, if they're gonna name this one over yonder after King, they oughta named that one over there after Oswald. I mean after who was the guy that shot Dr. King? I can't think of his name right now. They ought to name this one over here after him. And I said, Who is that? He said, You know who that is. The one who killed him. Brock Ganeles (39:36.196) Yeah. Mark Hayes (39:45.389) James Earl Ray, the one who killed him. And he had a look in his eye, brock, that scared me as an adult, back when I was fighting trim and didn't scare easily. But then I had the conversation I had with my father said to me, okay, let me get up out of here because black people die under suspicious circumstances. There was a stretch of roadway on Highway 19 leading from Albany up to Lee into Lee County and Leesburg, and there were alligators on both sides. Every now and then you'd see a gator come out and come across or have a pig in its mouth from a local farm crossing the street back into the swamp. I didn't want to die that way. It's a scary place. It's a scary time to be an American. You can't have a family gathering. Without a fire chief. Think about it, bro. And no one gave a fuck that it was the fire chief. Because we don't value black lives the way we value other lives. And that's why that all lives matter that Chili was talking about and fucked up her concert. That's why that shit doesn't fly. Brock Ganeles (41:06.106) It's why when that asshole at the UFC event is making a racist comment, right, he's talking to that congregation. And the fact that Trump, or no one in our administration from our government can disavow the comment, reprimand it, say it doesn't represent, you know, America, they can't say it because they don't believe it. Mark Hayes (41:09.89) Mm-hmm. Mark Hayes (41:15.245) Yeah. Mark Hayes (41:22.764) Disgusting. Mark Hayes (41:30.412) Yep. Crazy. All right, bro. Good stuff today. Brock Ganeles (41:34.106) It's all right, New York's gonna change everything. I'm still on that bandwagon. All right, Mark, always a pleasure. Mark Hayes (41:38.562) Yes sir. Yes, Yes, sir. Revolution shall be televised. Peace.
