- 0:01It's Milah Rahman Al Rahim Aslam Alaikum after live.
- 0:03Welcome back to the Aftermarket podcast, your favorite shootout
- 0:06podcast. Of course, friends, sisters, you
- 0:08all know as well as I that over the last few weeks we've been
- 0:10focusing on our knowledge of the Adal Bait Alayhi Musalam, a lot
- 0:13of facets of their lives, not just the historical element or
- 0:17the spiritual element, but also in a contemporary fashion.
- 0:20And also looking forward in the future, understanding how the
- 0:22lessons learnt from the Holy Quran and the Adal Bait Alayhi
- 0:25Musalaam play a direct role in our own lives today.
- 0:29So this is a theme we want to continue in these blessed days
- 0:33and Inshallah today we're going to do that.
- 0:34We're going to be talking about the Rajah, which of course is a
- 0:38really hot topic in general and something which I think a lot of
- 0:42us as a community lack foundational knowledge on.
- 0:46We'll also be talking about the greba of our current Imam
- 0:48Muhammad Hajja Ajallah Dahlahf Hajjah Sharif and ways in which
- 0:52we can connect with the Holy Imam throughout the period of
- 0:55Grebat and Cobra. So it gives me great pleasure as
- 0:58always and no surprise at all to you to introduce my wonderful Co
- 1:02host, said Ali. Brother, is that right?
- 1:04You can say it. Salaam.
- 1:15How you doing brother? I'm the love seeing you we can
- 1:17week out makes life better, makes life easier.
- 1:20I'm not even joking by the way. Thank you.
- 1:22We learn a lot and I love the conversations.
- 1:24What happening throughout the most of Maharama Safar and today
- 1:26is no different. Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:28Yeah. We we've had like some
- 1:30fascinating guests over the last in a few weeks and everyone at
- 1:34home will know that we have some guests who are close to our
- 1:37heart and who are brothers and teachers to us.
- 1:40And we're really honoured to have back with us.
- 1:43Who was with us during the first ten nights of Muharram?
- 1:46None other than our dear brother Said Abdullah in The Cave.
- 1:48So Alaikum. Said so thank you so much for
- 1:53having me again. Yeah, Ali Hambinda, nice to have
- 1:57you on. This is your 4th appearance.
- 1:58It is. It is.
- 1:59It is preceded by one other. Yeah, Muhammad Ali.
- 2:03Muhammad Ali is part of the team.
- 2:05Of course. That's who you are.
- 2:06Absolute, absolute, absolute honour.
- 2:07Charlotte will have 1/5. Charlotte I.
- 2:09Know, Ahmed said. Special guest.
- 2:11I don't think you're a guest. Well, I guess.
- 2:12And last, that was your podcast. Without.
- 2:15Doubt we we learn from you and we're honoured to say you're
- 2:18part of our team. Have you say, I know obviously
- 2:22this is a topic which we've been speaking about a lot in the days
- 2:25preceding this conversation. Why do you feel it's so
- 2:27important to talk about this? So the topic of Raja I don't
- 2:33think is explored as much as other.
- 2:36I mean, there is a lot of topics that aren't really given their
- 2:40Jew right from the pulpits through discussions.
- 2:45And you find because we don't mention them so much during like
- 2:48a five year, 10 year, 15 year gap that the people that are
- 2:52developing through listening to the Magalis, they don't really
- 2:55come into contact with it. And as such, when it's mentioned
- 2:58to them at a older age, you'll find that like what?
- 3:01I've never really heard about this particular topic or that
- 3:04particular topic. And I think because of its
- 3:09intricacy, I find that it isn't being spoken about as much.
- 3:17And I think the speakers do have their reasonings behind it.
- 3:19But I think because it's intricate, it might not make a
- 3:23lot of sense to a lot of people because there's a lot of
- 3:27question marks around around it. As well as it's in that realm of
- 3:33really needing to have a solid foundation of AGAI before you
- 3:38can explore it. Because many people that can,
- 3:41you know, delve into it without having a fundamental
- 3:43understanding, I think would really find it difficult to to
- 3:47comprehend and to understand the, you know, the different
- 3:56foundations that are laid before this topic comes into fruition,
- 4:02basically. So when it does occur, which
- 4:04we'll we'll speak about later on, Sharla, that that made
- 4:07sense, you say? No, it does make sense.
- 4:09Why would you say it's difficult for speakers to articulate it,
- 4:12let's say? See.
- 4:14Is it fair on us not to know about it?
- 4:16Sorry, is it fair on us? Yeah.
- 4:18That's, that's, that's what we're discussing, isn't it?
- 4:19Yeah. But The thing is, as a
- 4:22discussion now, it's going to be very different from a pulpit
- 4:25perspective because from pulpit perspective, I might think about
- 4:29it, you know, when I speak to the people, I think that this is
- 4:33the piece of knowledge that I think is enough for you to learn
- 4:36this particular topic. But then people have a lot of
- 4:39questions. And that's why a conversation,
- 4:43you know, which is uncensored, we should say.
- 4:46But like, there's no limitations.
- 4:47We can go back and forth, you know, you know, you may have
- 4:50questions that viewers would have or listeners would have or,
- 4:55and then that way we can, you know, not often do we see the
- 5:00questions that are there before having the lecture.
- 5:03So we give the lecture, then people have the question.
- 5:06Well, hold on, you know, maybe this wasn't explained properly
- 5:08or this is the first time I hear about this particular incident
- 5:12event, personality theory, whatever have you.
- 5:19So to have the discussion is kind of like, you know, point
- 5:22blank, you know, this is what may be a question mark on
- 5:25certain particular areas for AJA.
- 5:28So I think that's what I've found to be interesting because
- 5:32I remember to be completely honest, the first time I came
- 5:35across, I remember I was like, you know, as many people do with
- 5:39new things that you haven't heard for years, when you come
- 5:42across it, you're like, hold on, what's the foundations behind
- 5:47this? You know, is this something that
- 5:48is widely accepted? Is this something that is
- 5:52problematic with all the rules and regulations that we do have
- 5:56established within the Quran and the Hadith?
- 5:59Or is it something not established and we just have to
- 6:02believe in it? So that's where we begin to have
- 6:05the discussion. And it's, it's, I think it'll be
- 6:07quite an interesting discussion. We've been obviously speaking
- 6:10now for a few minutes about Raja.
- 6:11There's someone at home is saying what is the?
- 6:15What is it, Raja? So how?
- 6:16How do you define it in a sort? Raja, the word actually comes
- 6:21from the return. So if he's, you know, in Arabic,
- 6:24you, you guys would both know if someone goes something goes
- 6:27somewhere, you know, let's say from point A to point B, he
- 6:30comes back. You can say Raja, you know.
- 6:34So Raja is technically the return.
- 6:37But the concept of Raja to, you know, go straight into the deep
- 6:41end is the understanding that after Imam made the Ajala
- 6:44Taalafaraja Sharif comes. There will be a return of people
- 6:51after they have died, returned back to this world, the best of
- 6:58the best and the worst of the worst men Mahabal Iman and
- 7:02Mahaba or men Mahabal Kufra, Mahaba.
- 7:06So you have those two different people that will come back in
- 7:11the, in this aspect of the return.
- 7:14And that's the whole discussion that when we have this return of
- 7:19the best of the best is inclusive of our imams.
- 7:23So not inclusive of our imams, it's inclusive of the people
- 7:27that proceeded all the way to Adam.
- 7:29Or is it not? What is the reasoning behind it?
- 7:32And if so, and we accept it from the traditions, can we prove it
- 7:38not just from the hadith, which we have, you know, vast
- 7:42abundance of, but can we prove this concept from the Holy
- 7:47Quran, which is more important? Because that's the main basis,
- 7:49you know, the Thakalain. So that's the, I think that's if
- 7:52we discuss it through that angle, it will be grounded more
- 7:57so and more accepted so. So this is of course something
- 8:02which is not accepted by the mud hub of the Sunnis.
- 8:07They don't believe in rajah. It's not something which they
- 8:11agree with or even discuss from the perspective of the Shia.
- 8:16From amongst the Alamar, of course, as you mentioned, there
- 8:19is discussion, there's some works on it, which is good.
- 8:22But amongst the the, the people, the population, we may
- 8:27unknowingly reference that John. So, for example, do I had, I had
- 8:31and and whatnot. We we talk about the return and
- 8:34and being amongst those who return to to.
- 8:36Set the imams and. The cause of the Imams, Al Ahmad
- 8:39Salam, Why do you think it's something which is, if you don't
- 8:43mind me asking, it's really upfront said.
- 8:47Do you think that it's something which can be understood on a
- 8:49very basic or foundational level?
- 8:51Or is it, is it something which is appropriate for those who
- 8:54have studied Islam and who are ready for the technical?
- 8:57Because it's, it is very technical.
- 8:59And beyond that as well, there's a lot of things in it which may
- 9:02confuse people. So the years of things that are
- 9:05mentioned. So the governance of the holy
- 9:06Imams and how many years that lasts and who comes, which imams
- 9:11come back in which order and or not, these things may confuse
- 9:14people. So I I think even like him
- 9:15mentioning that people, I think at home we'll be like, what do
- 9:18you mean our imams are coming back, you know, do you know what
- 9:20I mean? So that because that's I think
- 9:22that will surprise a lot of people.
- 9:23But yeah, look, the discussion does have many branches.
- 9:27But at the base value, I think what we're going to in Charlotte
- 9:30achieve by the end of, you know, this episode is laying those
- 9:34core foundations. There are a lot of
- 9:35technicalities that I think is for a different audience in the
- 9:41sense of its intricacies. And we're talking about
- 9:45intricacies, you know, such as when the people that are evil
- 9:50return, how then does the judgement system work?
- 9:54Are they books open or have they been closed since they died?
- 9:58What is the purpose of them returning?
- 10:02What happens to those that return that are good and that
- 10:04have died in the path of Allah, Subhanahu to Allah?
- 10:07So these intricate, more higher level discussions, I don't think
- 10:14will be, you know, we wouldn't do it justice if we were to
- 10:17speak on it, you know, within the limited times that we do
- 10:20have right now. But to lay the foundation of how
- 10:23we can prove it through the Quran and through the Hadith.
- 10:25I think tonight would be a good starting point for anyone that
- 10:30wants to even do further research because you know, as
- 10:33let's say those that are trying to speak for the religion or our
- 10:37vessels to carry the message, we often find ourselves falling
- 10:42into the trap of trying to spoon feed absolutely everything with
- 10:46religion. But rather, I think what we need
- 10:49to focus on is creating that spark of interest.
- 10:52Because what you want to do is allow people to develop, to go
- 10:56and do their own reading, own research, find their own
- 10:58attachment. Like we'll give as much as we
- 11:00can, but without that spark, you're not really going to go
- 11:04out and research about something or you're going to learn about
- 11:07something or want to understand the concept.
- 11:09More or less. You have an aspect that you want
- 11:11to connect in a certain way or a question that you may not have
- 11:14had the answer to and you want the answer to.
- 11:17So that can be developed, You know, so if we were to say going
- 11:23to it, how can we answer questions about this particular
- 11:30concept of ours? So the first question would come
- 11:32forward like, OK, so you're saying that the concept of Raja
- 11:37means that people that have died in this world, they're going to
- 11:41return at the time of Imam Mehdi, the best of the best and
- 11:45the worst of the worst. So the first question we have to
- 11:48ask ourselves is, do we have a basis for people that died to
- 11:52return back to this world? Did we have a basis from the
- 11:55Holy Quran? You know, so that's that's the
- 11:58first discussion. And then when we delve into it,
- 12:00you begin to see there are many occasions from the Quran that
- 12:03not 'cause as as Muslims, one of the fundamental understandings
- 12:06is Mihad Mihad. We all believe in resurrection,
- 12:10but the resurrection there speaking about the hereafter,
- 12:13not this world. So the question is, the
- 12:15resurrection in Lejiah will be resurrection in this world, not
- 12:19the hereafter. But not for everyone.
- 12:21Not for everyone ascent ascent. So amongst the Quranic verses we
- 12:27come many stories that have and Subhan Allah.
- 12:30Take the story of Ibrahim for example, when he says to Allah,
- 12:34al Allah, show me how you resurrect the dead.
- 12:37So do you not believe he goes no, but I want to increase in
- 12:40certainty. So you know, he gets the four
- 12:43different birds. He gets what's it Peacock, crow,
- 12:46dove and pigeon. And the interesting thing is
- 12:48Allah says, you know, cut me up into pieces and mix the pieces
- 12:52together. Not like separate, no, and mix
- 12:54them all together. Plains, place them on mountains
- 12:57and call, for example, the crow. You'll see the pieces of the
- 12:59crow will come in front of you and you formulate as it's
- 13:02arriving. Call the dove, call the pigeon,
- 13:05call the Peacock. They will form in front of your
- 13:07eyes that they will become alive once more after their death.
- 13:11Some will come like, OK, but we're talking about human
- 13:14resurrection. Resurrection.
- 13:18Let's talk about it in a human perspective.
- 13:20So he goes, OK, amongst the ones that we understand is let's say
- 13:24go towards a story of Mosa Alessena Mosa.
- 13:28When the people come forward and say, oh Mosa, I want to see your
- 13:31Lord. And unless it's Lentarani, you
- 13:35know, you won't be able to see me.
- 13:36You know, you kind of look at the sun, you want to look at me.
- 13:40So as I come takes him to the mountain and the verse in
- 13:43question speaks very clearly the SA AKA the storm, the lightning,
- 13:47whatever you want to translate it into, OK, they all died, 70
- 13:51of them in the tradition all died.
- 13:53And most says like, you know, if I return and they're all dead,
- 13:56they're going to, you know, be accused.
- 13:58So the Quran says after they died, Allah Razraf.
- 14:02So there's a humans, you know, you have the story of Azra
- 14:07Wazir, the two brothers, you know, at that that they lived at
- 14:13one time. And one of the brothers, which
- 14:15was a prophet goes past a synagogue that was demolished.
- 14:20This is and now he hada can I last want to Hada return this?
- 14:27And so it was with his donkey. And the tradition goes on to say
- 14:30that he went inside to break bread and have water, died for
- 14:33100 years, then returned. Then he's asked, you know, how
- 14:36long have we slept the day or you're part of it.
- 14:40Then comes and sees his donkey outside.
- 14:43But what was left was like bone. So Allah showed him how on that
- 14:48donkey itself, the flesh with form and on it in front of his
- 14:52eyes he was resurrected. In front of him he saw
- 14:56resurrection. The story of Mosa with the
- 15:01reason why it's called Sohat Al Baqarah, the man that dies and
- 15:06they ask resurrect him in order for us to see who killed him
- 15:11because there was 2 tribes fighting amongst each other says
- 15:12resurrect him. He'll tell you if you're a
- 15:14prophet of God. So Allah brings down that, you
- 15:17know, bring a a cow and then they, you know, sometimes that
- 15:20makes it easy for us, but sometimes we make it hard for
- 15:23ourselves. So I was like bring a cow.
- 15:25They're like what kind of cow? How big, how small until they
- 15:31OK, you want more questions, I'll give you more until it was
- 15:34a yellow cow that they had to find.
- 15:35That's when you're going to find the yellow cow got a yellow cow
- 15:39says hit it into one another is resurrected after his death.
- 15:44And then he tells the people who his murderer was.
- 15:47So we find these things, you know, through in and throughout
- 15:50the Quran. There's there's so many
- 15:52different ones that we begin to understand that there's a
- 15:55resurrection. Like, for example, ASA, he's
- 15:58known for it. Yeah, known for resurrecting the
- 16:02dead. And you know, as we were
- 16:03discussing before the dead, sometimes we think to ourselves,
- 16:07were they just did they just die or were they years?
- 16:11And so the discussion that was concerning death and
- 16:14resurrection, many of the books discuss ASA coming to a grave
- 16:18that is fresh, fresh, like just just they just buried him, youth
- 16:22just buried him and he would resurrect him.
- 16:26But when he's resurrected, he's resurrected as a old man.
- 16:30So what happened? Tell me he goes, I'm not in the
- 16:34of of Barazakh. I'm the Jahanam of Barazakh.
- 16:37And so the aspect of torture is, even though it's a little bit
- 16:41for you, but it feels like a long time that he's basically
- 16:45aged from the pain and suffering that he went through through
- 16:48that short time period. Maybe time frames work very
- 16:52differently within Barzakh, as they do for us maybe.
- 16:55And likewise, they said that he came across a grave that we
- 16:59didn't even recognize that it was a grave.
- 17:01And he resurrected that person and it was like a youth.
- 17:05And he says, what's going on? He goes, O Ruhallah, he goes, I,
- 17:11because I, I came into this realm and I, I ripped a necklace
- 17:16and it fell all the, the pills everywhere, I'm trying to
- 17:18collect them. And then you've resurrected me.
- 17:20So they didn't recognize his grave.
- 17:22So the, the, the discussion is there.
- 17:24The discussion is there that resurrection in this realm
- 17:30exists. So that's the first discussion.
- 17:33So we've established the first fundamental that we say that
- 17:36that Rajat happens, that it returns towards this world.
- 17:39Is there a Quranic basis for it? It is.
- 17:42So now let's discuss is there a Quranic basis of people being
- 17:45resurrected before hereafter in order for us to know is there a
- 17:50Quranic basis for it? So when you go towards verses
- 17:54from the Holy Quran, there's verses that come forward and
- 17:58discuss Nihad, where last Muhammad Ta'ala says that we
- 18:03will bring everyone. Everyone.
- 18:06Yeah. And there are discussions that
- 18:08says Allah will return only a group of people, not everyone.
- 18:13We know Kiyama. If we were discussing Kiyama,
- 18:16everyone's resurrected, aren't they?
- 18:18But when it comes to Raja, there's only a group of people
- 18:21and Mahabala, Imana Mahabala, Mahabala, Kothra Mahabala.
- 18:24Yeah. So with that discussion go
- 18:27towards the Holy Quran Bismillah Rahman Rahim to give you an
- 18:31understanding of of the Mihad resurrection Wayomi museyurul
- 18:40jibal Qatar al arav barizatan wahashar nahum phelim Nova
- 18:47dermenhum ahada. So our last saying and the day
- 18:52when we will remove the mountains and you will see the
- 18:54earth prominent and we will gather them and not leave behind
- 18:58from them anyone not understandable that the
- 19:02Yomatiyama, everything that occurs that every single person
- 19:05will be resurrected. Now also within the Holy Quran,
- 19:09Surat al Nabil wyom nashor min kuli omatin faujan.
- 19:17So OK, now saying that on the day, much like I said before, we
- 19:22will gather from every nation, not every nation from not the
- 19:30entire. Nation not literal or.
- 19:32From every nation, not like every single nation that
- 19:35existed. From every nation mean could
- 19:38mean those. Parts of all.
- 19:40That, yeah, represent. But the understanding there is
- 19:42it's a part, it's not the complete.
- 19:45So there you have a premise already for the fact that there
- 19:50is a resurrection for a partial resurrection and there's a
- 19:53resurrection for a complete resurrection, which gives us the
- 19:56second grounds for this concept of Raja.
- 19:59So now let's look at this concept.
- 20:02We come and say that we're going to bring the best of the best
- 20:08and the worst of the worst. What else can we understand from
- 20:15the governorship? So now we understand every
- 20:18single person has been oppressed, every prophet
- 20:22oppressed Rasul Allah. So we're going to get to the
- 20:26discussion of how he died. You know, Maman Nyelamis moment,
- 20:30Omar, it's a different discussion, but if we were to
- 20:33say he's the one that had governorship 4 1/2 years, 3
- 20:36civil wars comes into the Masjid, he says, you know, don't
- 20:40pray like this, pray like this. He cover pressure.
- 20:43Literally, yeah. So it's like who are you to tell
- 20:45us? You know, like he says, no,
- 20:46Rasulullah established this law for Salah, not that law.
- 20:49And they would say in for all four corners of Kufa was Sunnah
- 20:52to Omara is why trying to change the Sunnah of Omar.
- 20:57So in that 4 1/2 years, if you say that he was a governor, how
- 21:02much time did he really have to establish with three civil wars
- 21:05and everything that was happening around him, so much so
- 21:07that he was killed in Salah. So we see that throughout every
- 21:14single one of our imams didn't really have a chance, did they,
- 21:18to establish justice and eradicate tyranny.
- 21:21So can I ask similar chronologically?
- 21:23Yes. At what stage does Raja occur?
- 21:26So obviously the whole of the Imam happens, yes.
- 21:30Do we have any, any understanding as to when it
- 21:35happens? Is it after the death of the
- 21:37Holy Imam? Is it before you know?
- 21:40These are all things which I think come to my mind.
- 21:43Definitely. No, no, that's a very valid
- 21:45question because we have, like you stated earlier, the I, I
- 21:50had. What do we say if we die then
- 21:54and we're not able to come to your assistance for Khurjini min
- 22:00abri mutezeran kefeni Shaharan seifi Mujahideen karnati
- 22:05mulebian dawa to die. So all this is, oh Allah, if I
- 22:08die, I want you to allow me to be resurrected alongside
- 22:12alongside the Imam. So the first instance is we know
- 22:15that people will arrive with the Imam to assist him in performing
- 22:20all that he needs to do. So amongst them, which only
- 22:25moments ago we heard, Salman is known to be one of them in
- 22:29traditions as Habil Kyev are known to be one of them.
- 22:32Many of the prophets would come back to be assisting.
- 22:37And so you have these which obviously formulate the best of
- 22:41the best and the worst of the worst that will arrive.
- 22:45Now there's different stages. So we'll see that some people
- 22:48will arrive at the arrival of the Imam, some people after his
- 22:52death. So, and the understanding is so
- 22:56Subhan Allah, there's a verse Bismillah Rahman al Rahim
- 23:01walaqat Kheteb Nafiz Zabur minbadidikar and Al Arab
- 23:05yarituha ibadiya salihorn. Now if we were to say that
- 23:11someone will inherit this world, yeah, someone that will be able
- 23:15to establish justice and eradicate tyranny.
- 23:18So the ayah would have said and then out of Yerruthuha AB de
- 23:22asada singular that this one person will establish justice
- 23:27and eradicate tyranny. But right now does the verse say
- 23:30yerrithuha abide de asada? More than one, yeah.
- 23:37One goes, next comes, one goes next comes until they establish
- 23:40a body plural. Now just to go back on one other
- 23:44point before we go to the the cream of the discussion, it says
- 23:52Kalora Bana Amit tenethinetane or a hiatenethinetane.
- 23:55What does that mean? Killed us twice.
- 24:00O Allah, you've killed us or caused us to die twice, and
- 24:05you've resurrected us twice. Yeah.
- 24:10So now you can already see twice we died, twice we were
- 24:14resurrected. Now the interesting discussion
- 24:17is which I want to touch on, and this is I think the highlight
- 24:23when I came across this tradition, which will absolutely
- 24:26blew my mind. And I really think it would
- 24:28touch chords in people's minds, in people's hearts, really touch
- 24:32chords in people's hearts. Zorara, we know who Zorara is
- 24:37and how close he was with the Mama sadaq.
- 24:39It comes towards the Mama sadaq. Look at the question.
- 24:42He goes, oh, Imam, is death the same as being killed?
- 24:49Because you ask someone what's cattle something to die, you say
- 24:54mout, what's mout death? So Zorara looks at him.
- 24:58Sorry, mum's sadaq looks at Zorara.
- 24:59Zorara absolutely no. He goes.
- 25:04Laisselle mount. Calcutta, well, Alcatlukel
- 25:08mount. How does he know he goes?
- 25:11Allah said into the Holy Quran. I felt in matter O what it I'm
- 25:16talking about Rasulullah. If he dies or is killed, I
- 25:19thought I'm matter O, but in it's coming to it to the end,
- 25:25yeah. He's being a non Arab.
- 25:28Wait wait, wait, wait till I so he comes to his eyes does does
- 25:31Izarah comes to the Imam. He says is malt and qatim the
- 25:36same thing? So is death and being killed the
- 25:38same thing? He goes no Allah differentiated
- 25:41in the holy Quran in the holy Quran talks about so Allah says
- 25:45ETF imate al qatim if he dies or is killed make the difference.
- 25:51But look at the next thing that he says that re establishes the
- 25:54Rajah. Yeah, he says.
- 25:59He says whomever, whomever has tasted being killed need to come
- 26:07back to taste death. Why Accent, alas, is the Holy
- 26:14Quran. Everyone that is this is in
- 26:16accordance with this. Everyone that is killed has to
- 26:18come back to taste death because those that have tasted death,
- 26:23sorry, have tasted being killed, haven't tasted death.
- 26:28As in natural death or? That's that's Imam.
- 26:30Imam has this premise, but he's saying the people that are
- 26:32killed haven't tasted death. A last premise in the Quran as
- 26:36well, whomever has been killed, tasted being killed have to come
- 26:39back. Because the premise, what does
- 26:41it say? Every soul shall taste death by
- 26:45the souls that have tasted being killed haven't tasted death.
- 26:49That's why it says Lahta haben and Ladina Portillo fisabil
- 26:53Allah Amados do not count. Those have been killed in the
- 26:56path of Allah as dead. Dead.
- 27:00Nay, they are alive. So you're saying everyone that
- 27:03has been killed all? Makes.
- 27:04Sense needs to come back to taste death.
- 27:09So you see how it's all of a sudden begins to establish it's
- 27:11got you. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 27:13So. So just imagine that tradition.
- 27:15Yeah. And then, and this is the
- 27:17intricacies of these these, these issues.
- 27:19So we understand now that amongst those that have been
- 27:24killed on the path of Allah, they have to return to taste
- 27:27death. What do you usually refer to
- 27:29them as? The people that are killed in
- 27:31the path of Allah, Shahada? No, no, let's establish
- 27:33something. So you're saying the shahada are
- 27:36those that they have the Allah they have to come back to taste
- 27:40if we're taking this tradition, have to come back to taste
- 27:44death. Now Shaheda, often times we come
- 27:49across this Shaheda. What does it mean?
- 27:54I think we know as Martins. Martins, yeah.
- 27:57But if you get to the root word shaheda, where does it come
- 28:01from? Shahid, Shahid, Shahid.
- 28:04Make it the root. The root letters Shahid,
- 28:09Shahidah. Shahidah, OK.
- 28:11Shahidah is it? It's like.
- 28:14Shahadah, shahadah to bear witness now.
- 28:18OK, so why now do we, if we were to take that translation of it?
- 28:21Yeah, if you're a shaheed, you're known as a martyr.
- 28:27But if you get the root word, it means you bear witness.
- 28:30Can we suggest the fact that proposed to this tradition that
- 28:34a person that is killed known as a shaheed returns?
- 28:38To witness death. To to witness the establishment
- 28:43of Allah's mercy on this earth, and then it takes death, of
- 28:48course, when it comes back to witness Allah's mercy on this
- 28:53earth because it establishes justice and eradicates tyranny.
- 28:56That's why they have the hierarchy that you are, because
- 28:59you died in my path. Be the first to witness.
- 29:01So does this mean that anyone whose shahada is part of.
- 29:05This it's it's it's an established aspect to where that
- 29:09is definitely a premise. And now the interesting thing is
- 29:11amongst the first that returns is who Mum Hussein is known as.
- 29:17Yeah, that's. Nothing was.
- 29:21To love makes sense, but he's some reports say he's the 1st to
- 29:27return. Yeah, that's that's it.
- 29:29There's there's, there's different things that ties in as
- 29:33as kind of. Yeah, it's clicking.
- 29:35It is, it is working, it's making sense.
- 29:37My brain is kind of but but. It's getting there.
- 29:39It's. Clicking, but of course I'm
- 29:41thinking history. There's been, sorry, there's
- 29:43been 10s of thousands of shahada more than that.
- 29:46How many evil people do we have? I mean Mahadal Iman and Mahadal
- 29:50Ko from I want. To go to the.
- 29:52Who's to say technically who? Now we get into the gist of it.
- 29:57So these people died, and they died thinking that I've done
- 30:02everything that I needed to do and I didn't see on this earth
- 30:05Allah's justice. I got away with everything.
- 30:08So Allah is returning them to say, you know what, I'm going to
- 30:10let you bear witness that I have the final say in everything to
- 30:14create more of a pain for your soul and a punishment that
- 30:18you're going to see everything that you thought that you had
- 30:21that you could get away with. Look at how I prevail over all
- 30:25evil doers and all tyrants. So they come back and you begin
- 30:31to see that mum. And that's the interesting thing
- 30:33because that's why I said if you go into the context of Adid, we
- 30:37know that a person that is mahsom is not able to be buried
- 30:41except by a Mahsom. So when Mahmahdi dies,
- 30:47Mahmahsayin has two and the tradition said that he will bury
- 30:50Mahmahdi where? In his own shrub, in his own
- 30:54grave. So Imam Mehdi will be buried now
- 30:57in Karabela. So you take these traditions and
- 31:02then the understanding now is there's difference, different
- 31:05traditions that are there. Who will kill Iblis?
- 31:07Who? Will kill Iblis.
- 31:09So the traditions that suggest Imam Mehdi will be responsible
- 31:12for killing Iblis, then there are traditions that suggest that
- 31:15now after Imam Mehdi Mahasen comes, then Ali, then all the
- 31:18Imams, until Rasul Allah returns and kills Iblis in the final
- 31:22war. So there are so many different
- 31:25traditions and that's where it becomes very interesting and
- 31:27intricate. So say for those people at home
- 31:30who are listening to this, probably following and
- 31:33understanding, but in some way this may sound very animated to
- 31:40them, you know what I mean? Sounds like something out of a.
- 31:43Lord of the Rings or something. Honestly.
- 31:45And I I really don't mean to be disrespectful.
- 31:47I completely understand. I mean, right?
- 31:48No, no, of course, a lot. Of them is like in terms of the
- 31:50final war and the return and. Avenge like you know.
- 31:53Avenging the blood that was spilled in the years prior.
- 31:57But for these are the two questions I have #1 what are the
- 32:04qualities which someone who is to return with the Holy Imam?
- 32:07What are those qualities that they should have and #2 is it
- 32:11imperative to be conscious of the Rajah in our now kind of
- 32:16into the like the period which we live in now during the label
- 32:19of the Imam? Should we consciously think
- 32:21about the Rajah when we talk to the Imam, when we converse with
- 32:25the Imam? Do we say, allow me to return if
- 32:28I'm, if I die before, do you see what I mean?
- 32:31Before your return, allow me to be raised amongst your.
- 32:33So the I had this role established for for us, you
- 32:37know, it's one of the most recommended things to do in the
- 32:40mornings that you reaffirm that O Imam, I am going to do
- 32:44everything as an allegiance. Every time you wake up in the
- 32:46morning, you know what you're setting out to do during your
- 32:49day is to remember that you are wanting to become of the
- 32:53companions of the Imam. Now, if for whatever reason
- 32:56happens, if you really had that love for your Imam, you're
- 32:58saying I want to live my life in such a way that everything I do,
- 33:02I want you to look at it, saying that I'm proud for you to be of
- 33:06my companions. And if for every reason death
- 33:09separates between you and your Imam that Allah is able to
- 33:12resurrect you. And like many of the our
- 33:14traditions, sometimes we read our traditions, but we don't
- 33:17often contemplate over Zaratha JAMA warith.
- 33:22You know, many of the we say this particular phrase where
- 33:25many of us don't understand that, you know, become more men
- 33:28will be iya become mokin. Many times we come across this,
- 33:32but people come across like will be ER become morpin.
- 33:35OK, but says Imam's trying to establish, make sure that you
- 33:38understand this concept that we are returning.
- 33:40ER means the return. Morpin means not just I have
- 33:44knowledge of morpin Yakin, I have certainty in your return.
- 33:50So when you ask the question, should I understand this concept
- 33:53or is it a fairy tale? Imam's established it within it
- 33:59how how we supplicate is that make sure that when you
- 34:01supplicate, you're saying I become morphin, that I have
- 34:04certainty, not just, you know, lip service.
- 34:08So to answer your question, you will need to understand it.
- 34:11We need to learn about it. We need to see the reasoning why
- 34:17we need to look because you know, sometimes and it's going
- 34:21to sound very interesting, the advents leading up to IMA
- 34:26leading up to Rasulullah, the advents.
- 34:29So there was so many signs to showcase people about that.
- 34:32This prophet is the final prophet that will be arriving.
- 34:35And that's why you'll find when you go to Medina, who was
- 34:37waiting for him, The Jews were waiting for him.
- 34:40Why? Because there was always
- 34:41prophesized. The advents were there, the
- 34:43scriptures were there, the the detailed prophecies from
- 34:47previous prophets were there to establish that.
- 34:49Yes, prepare yourself for Rasulullah.
- 34:52Now I'm going to ask you a question.
- 34:54Is the final notion of all these prophecies just the arrival of
- 34:58Rasul or what he brought forward as a message?
- 35:00The latter. So they're saying the arrival of
- 35:05the Imam isn't just the main he goes the main beauty and the
- 35:10body of the Imam arriving is. His message on why it breaks?
- 35:15The rajah is going to be when it's established, the justice,
- 35:20they will carry on that establishment.
- 35:22So that's, that's a, that's a whole different, you know, like
- 35:27I said, but because say, let's be honest, let's be honest.
- 35:31Said Ali. We referenced this obviously a
- 35:32few weeks ago with Sheikh Sheikh Mahmud Abbas Panju and he talked
- 35:35about the the establishment of the whole civilization, how we
- 35:39will need the right people. She saw there's a there's a link
- 35:42here. We got a.
- 35:43Flashbacks for sure, because as the chef was referencing, we was
- 35:46mentioning that when he Mohammed, he comes out a lot al
- 35:48apology Sharif. It's as if he's buying a new
- 35:51system. It's as if.
- 35:53He's, yeah, he's reformed 100%. Society completely and say, you
- 35:58know, as you're Speaking of all of this I'm trying I'm just
- 35:59trying to imagine like what are other people thinking because.
- 36:05Probably the same thing I was thinking when I first read it.
- 36:07It's just like. The thing is, Johnny, I think
- 36:10for an average. It's it's an interesting one.
- 36:13I think we're an average human being.
- 36:14Like to understand this this average Muslim?
- 36:17Look, I, I, I think honestly, when you, when you begin to read
- 36:19it, like it intrigues a lot of people.
- 36:22Like I was, I was intrigued like I first read it, I was like,
- 36:27this is something new. You know, I was, I was 1718 at
- 36:32the time. I was just like, this is
- 36:33something amazing with it now literature that I've never heard
- 36:38it from the pulpit. And so you go on to this because
- 36:43let's say Faimah Mehti Ajal Atallah for a general Sharif.
- 36:46If you ask a normal Shia, how do you see the Imam?
- 36:51Many of them will have this vision of, you know, he's going
- 36:53to become on a horse. He's going to be wearing Arab
- 36:56attire. He's got the nicest turban, you
- 36:59know, like they have an image. He's going to come sword
- 37:01blazing. You know what I mean?
- 37:03That's that's their understanding of when my Imam,
- 37:06I've been told he's going to come.
- 37:08That's how he's going to come reality is he going to come on a
- 37:12horse with a sword allow on them, But that's what you're
- 37:18looking for. The understanding of of labour
- 37:22is very, very different when we're trying to prepare
- 37:24ourselves for the imam coming and we when we do I heard and we
- 37:28we, we, we do all that notable in the morning.
- 37:31Everything that we do is is to prepare for him.
- 37:33But how can we recognize him? You're not.
- 37:38That's the image that we have of him that's on horse is going to
- 37:41do. We could come across him in our
- 37:42daily lives. This kind of ties into the
- 37:45understanding of the hadith about the one who does not have
- 37:48the knowledge of the Imam that has the death of ignorance.
- 37:51Because if, if we, if we talk about the whole point of the
- 37:57Raja is to be raised amongst the unsiled of the Holy Imam, if you
- 38:01die a death without knowledge of the Imam, it surely is ignorance
- 38:06then because you've died not with the hope that you will then
- 38:09be raised amongst only Imam. So you've died unknowing and
- 38:12maybe even innocently ignorant or intentionally ignorant of
- 38:16what what the the Imam brings and who he comes with.
- 38:21So I think that's very interesting.
- 38:22In terms of the labour itself, obviously we have so much like
- 38:27you talked about the advent of the Salallah and I feel like the
- 38:30same thing of course, like you mentioned said applies with the
- 38:33advent of the the hall. You know the the preparation for
- 38:36the Omar, the house arrest of the Mahadi and Imam al Askari al
- 38:41Salaam meant that the community was getting there.
- 38:43The force of Farah that came, the letter to Abu Hassan al
- 38:46Samari 6 days before his death. These are all things which
- 38:50gradually prepared the, the Ummah, or at least the Shia to
- 38:55understand that the labor of the Imam is coming and that, as he
- 38:58said in the letter, you should not appoint someone after you.
- 39:02And that now we will begin the labor telecom like, you know,
- 39:06we've had, we've seen this, of course, in history, we've seen,
- 39:08as you mentioned, with the story of Sulla Muhammad Sulla.
- 39:12So what what I want to understand really is in terms of
- 39:16the, the time of Kharaja for us now living in the Khraiba, what,
- 39:22what there is there anything specific we can do?
- 39:25Because from my understanding, if you don't mind me saying, it
- 39:27sounds like there's a preference for the Shahada.
- 39:31I don't want to say it like that, but it sounds like the
- 39:34short love would be raised amongst because to re
- 39:36experience. Yeah, yeah.
- 39:38So, so you're saying that like, like I said, I I brought one of
- 39:42the traditions that we have that you could establish the fact
- 39:45that they are looked at to be over the Shahida.
- 39:48There are many people that have died in battle.
- 39:50They haven't come for the right reasons.
- 39:52And we know that from the sort of last stories many, many a
- 39:54times you come across and the mothers would be like, you know,
- 39:58my son is Shaheed also and says no, the the grave just squeezed
- 40:01him such as squeeze. And there's there's depends.
- 40:03Some people came just to predict their caravan.
- 40:05Some people did it for the wrong reasons.
- 40:07So only Allah knows who's the true on that path.
- 40:10So knowing that. That there could be a part of
- 40:15the people that returned. Yeah, but he doesn't he his
- 40:17preference and his wording of the Imam, he doesn't say the
- 40:20shahada. I said amongst those could very
- 40:23well potentially be the shahada in accordance to the ruai of
- 40:27Imam Sadaq al asam could be that they are part of it.
- 40:30But the preference was Mahabal Iman and Mahaba engulfed
- 40:35personified Iman and that could be absolutely anyone.
- 40:40You know, we pray that we are of those people, but that's,
- 40:43that's, that's a premise that he did give.
- 40:46So whomever Allah chooses to return to be part of that and
- 40:49bear witness to Allah's Kingdom, bear witness to Allah's ability
- 40:54to establish justice and eradicate tyranny on the hands
- 41:00of the Masomian. You know, and like I said once
- 41:04we because when you said it brings a new, you suggested it
- 41:08that it brings a new religion basically for civilization.
- 41:12There's a reason why I don't always say where you have called
- 41:14hack when he comes, Why does he have to showcase the truth?
- 41:20Because we're so far away, you know, OK, if I become, you know,
- 41:24how is it that it come a time when he says to one of his
- 41:28companions that visited Nisarakomo, Fasaka Shababukom,
- 41:32or there will come a time just to establish this, that you're
- 41:40women and men will go astray and you do not enjoy good and forbid
- 41:44evil. Will there come a time as well,
- 41:48I guess, Sharon Mendelik, because there will come a time
- 41:52where you will enjoin evil and forbid good.
- 41:56And he says not just that Sharon Mendelik, He goes, how is it
- 41:59there come a time where you see good as evil and you see evil as
- 42:03good. So when Imam Menti comes, you
- 42:06help will happen in the sense that and also last time, just
- 42:09like he came forward with the truth, the Abrahamic religions
- 42:12that were there that preceded that was so far away from it
- 42:15that he has to what's this new religion of yours?
- 42:18Imam Hassan, when he came for the the saying Allah, I come out
- 42:21and they're killing the grandson.
- 42:23So you had to establish it again.
- 42:25And my mind when he comes, when he comes forward, the religion
- 42:27help will happen. Means how much are we away that
- 42:30he has to come back and re establish what truth is.
- 42:35That's how deviated we've got been.
- 42:38Well, we'll perceive it as something new, but it's not a.
- 42:41New yeah, it's re establishing the, the, the actual truth.
- 42:43So that's, that's what we, our understanding should be that
- 42:49when like you know, with labour, it's such a lengthy discussion,
- 42:53but in labour our understanding has always been that Imam is
- 42:57away and he's waiting. He's in some traditions say
- 43:03Jezebel Khadrah and whatever have you.
- 43:05And it all has different explanations.
- 43:06But you know, when they give examples that the Imam is the
- 43:12inheritor of all those before him, you know, someone's like
- 43:15what's, what's the comparison to it?
- 43:17All the comparisons that he gives, which should re establish
- 43:20this fact of what labour means is they say that he's very much
- 43:24compared to Nabi Allah Yousuf in his labour.
- 43:27You know how many levels of labour Yousuf had the first
- 43:31level, his brothers, his brothers the first because
- 43:35labour means that they're conceal of either the person
- 43:39himself physically or the concealment of the the person's
- 43:49rank or position. So in that fact they were his
- 43:54brothers. They could see him physically,
- 43:56but concealed from them that he's a prophet.
- 43:58So because he was concealed aspect of labour, they went and
- 44:02tried to kill him. He they were concealed even says
- 44:05Ryabatu Job the second that he was physically concealed in the
- 44:09well that like if they knew that he was a prophet, you think they
- 44:11would sell him to that man for that much.
- 44:13They'll get a lot more for a prophet.
- 44:14Do you know what I mean? So and then he was concealed
- 44:17throughout people never knew he was no one knew he was a
- 44:20prophet. But what did he do?
- 44:21He established, he, he guided people, he ran a whole nation
- 44:28and then even his brothers came. They saw him physically, but
- 44:32they still didn't know him. So.
- 44:35So when they say they have the comparison to the Imam.
- 44:37Yusuf is one of the titles of our Holy Imam.
- 44:42So when you when you look at that and you begin to see that,
- 44:44yeah, there's a comparison, as Imam Sadaq says, from Yusuf in
- 44:47his labour. The comparison isn't it is the
- 44:49labour of how Imam is like that of Yusuf.
- 44:52Yusuf established, worked, prepared men that will be there
- 44:57in his reign, didn't he? In accordance to what we
- 45:00understand from the story of Yusuf, he prepared people to be
- 45:04in positions in his governance. This is likewise when Imam
- 45:07comes, people working, I'm like, I know this person, I've come
- 45:11across him, he's helped me, he's guided me.
- 45:15Why? Because he's amongst us.
- 45:17He's amongst us and there's many people that you you come and you
- 45:19see there's so many stories about people that have come
- 45:22across the Imam, but then they later on found out is Imam and
- 45:25they were always nearly in a state of their doing something
- 45:28bad always. So that gives us give you an
- 45:31example. So we don't take as an example,
- 45:35a person comes towards one of these Mystics and he asks them
- 45:38for as the story goes, something to do in order for him to see
- 45:42the Imam. He's a Sayid Imam of the Masjid.
- 45:47So the Mystic gives him something of worship to do
- 45:51yours. Inshallah, within the 8 month
- 45:52period, you'll be able to see the imam.
- 45:54So he goes, performs, performs, performs. 8 months pass, nine
- 45:58months, 10 months comes back to the Mystic.
- 46:01He goes and you told me eight months you'll see him.
- 46:05I haven't seen my imam. So he's like, I'll tell you.
- 46:10But first tell me about an incident that happened in the
- 46:13world area of your mosque. So I said, how'd you hear about
- 46:17that? He goes, oh, we have our ways.
- 46:20So he goes, what? I mean, it's embarrassing.
- 46:22He goes, what's it, Why is it embarrassing?
- 46:23You just tell me what happened. He goes, you know, I mean, the
- 46:26imam of the Masjid, I'm a sayyid son of a sort of lies in the
- 46:30area where everyone's making world law and it's crowded.
- 46:32He goes while we're in that area, a man comes from the
- 46:36outskirts, not very familiar face spoke Arabic and he goes,
- 46:47he entered and he sat, he sat next to me and I'm making my
- 46:51widow. So he goes, I had a he goes, I
- 46:53had a ring. He goes, that ring was on my
- 46:56little finger. So he goes to me.
- 46:58He looks at me and goes, see it. You know when you're making
- 47:01widow, it looks a little tight. So either you move it to make
- 47:05widows of the water to pass or when you make widow move it a
- 47:09little bit so the water can go through it.
- 47:11So he goes, I was outraged. Person comes outside my mosque,
- 47:16tells me how to run my mosque, how to perform my will do.
- 47:20I'm the top guy here, you know. So he took it as an offence,
- 47:26says how dare you. Got loud, got verbal.
- 47:29People started breaking it off. The guy, he's like, the guy was
- 47:31very polite, but he was like, you know, I'm sorry, I just
- 47:33thought I'd give you a piece of advice.
- 47:35Then he left, never saw him again.
- 47:37He was, as he's telling this scholar, scholar has TS like
- 47:41running down the street because you saw your Imam, but not how
- 47:44you thought you'd see him. Everyone around you could
- 47:49possibly be the Imam. So knowing that that I could at
- 47:52any time in my life cross paths with my Imam at any time, if you
- 47:57understand the concept of behaviour from yourself, at any
- 48:01time I could cross Imam. You should be like.
- 48:02May you come face to face. I should really watch how I
- 48:06talk, walk, look, speak at every moment of my life.
- 48:14So true, yeah, because normally when we think of labour and I
- 48:17think generic, I don't want to speak on behalf of everyone, but
- 48:20I think we sort of imagine he's not here on this earth, He's in
- 48:25the labour somewhere in the heavens, you know, in the seven
- 48:27heavens. And that's and that's why I
- 48:29think we don't think of these things in our day-to-day lives
- 48:32that yeah, we could come across the imam one day, you know,
- 48:35whether be in the mosque or be in the marketplace, wherever we
- 48:38that's true and that's true happen anywhere, right.
- 48:41And I think that's the reason why one many reasons as why we
- 48:43don't build Maratha. Imam Sahabad has to was the man
- 48:46is that OK? He's there.
- 48:48We'll wait for his return. And we don't want nothing more.
- 48:51It's our fault that we don't know the Imam.
- 48:54We've failed on that relationship and that connection
- 48:57and you know that bond 1 needs to create with Imam of of this
- 49:01time. And I, I know we're speaking
- 49:03about Labour right now, but I just want to go back quickly to
- 49:07Raja because the point I wanted to say is you've got.
- 49:11Another question, yeah. And I think it's a good
- 49:14question. And I, I feel like you're going
- 49:15to contemplate over it tonight. And I think it's going to relate
- 49:18to Labour now in a way you'll see is that as you are giving up
- 49:24all these examples, the Hadith, you know, Saddam, the Quranic
- 49:29verses, A lot of things started to make sense in my head.
- 49:32One of them being is for example, a Muslim is to bury
- 49:36another Muslim as well as the example of, you know, those who
- 49:41Inshallah will be counted as from Ansari mountain.
- 49:43Matthew will come back should they not be here during his his
- 49:47return. A lot of things one by one.
- 49:49And then something was striking me and I was like, when do I
- 49:51mention I think now is the right time is that we always hear of,
- 49:55you know, in a part of it with them and Maktou to be Karbala
- 49:58that that now makes sense to me. If you're telling me Imam al
- 50:02Hussain is going to come back and Imam al right, the Agila
- 50:04Talifani will be here and you're telling me some of the kafar
- 50:08will be coming back to revenge. I I think the equation is
- 50:12answered for me and all of this is starting to fall in place,
- 50:15but I really want to know a bit more about.
- 50:16This, they'll come and kill the killers of Imam Al Hussein
- 50:23Abdullah. So, you know, like if you take
- 50:26that and that just establishes the fact that could actually be
- 50:29them. And also whoever agrees with
- 50:32their principles, agrees with what they did, is fine with what
- 50:37occurred in Karbala. They are in the same absolute
- 50:40same circle but does have that establishment if those evil
- 50:43people do come back. Because a lot of people, you
- 50:46know, they belittle this. They're like, OK, Hussein
- 50:48Karbala happened. They're all dead.
- 50:50They're all buried. And let's let's let's say no one
- 50:53does appear. Come back.
- 50:54How's he going to take a stop? How's he going to take it back?
- 50:55I was. Going to take revenge.
- 50:57Yeah. Why?
- 50:57Why is it that the flag that he comes with is the same flag of
- 51:01Abdullah? Why?
- 51:05You know the people that you know are going to fall by his
- 51:08sword. And he says that they're cut by
- 51:11Shabba. He returns that I'm here to
- 51:13allege the blood of my grandfather who was killed
- 51:15thirsty in mother Luke. These the we always talk about.
- 51:20We've had a lot in the last few weeks about a connection between
- 51:23the Marmad Hussein and the Marmad Methi and what they share
- 51:27in common. And they they are one in the
- 51:29same values. Kind of go back to HEBA as well
- 51:32if you don't want, sorry. Because it's because it's
- 51:35intertwined. Yeah, yeah, it's intertwined.
- 51:37You mentioned about meeting the Imam, Yes.
- 51:39OK, So we've, like you said, we've all grown up hearing
- 51:43stories. I've heard stories that one guy
- 51:45told me, I met him in the elevator.
- 51:47One guy said I met him here. So obviously people say things
- 51:50Allahu Alam. How many of them are true?
- 51:53And Inshallah all of them are true and people have interacted
- 51:55on your Imam. Can a anyone meet the Imam?
- 51:59B. Is there any procedure or method
- 52:01or anything like that? Or do I have to unveil my myself
- 52:06with the Imam? Do I have to reach a certain
- 52:08level to have access to the Holy Imam?
- 52:11And if I don't encounter the Holy Imam physically during the
- 52:14period of Reba, how can I encounter the Holy Imam
- 52:18spiritually? Is there a way of of my
- 52:20conversation with him? Am I able to connect with him in
- 52:23some other way which I feel this like for like or he converse
- 52:27with me and I can converse. Do you see what I mean?
- 52:29Or do I have to get to a certain stage?
- 52:32So that's that's there's so much you can talk about there.
- 52:35Yeah, sorry. Because you know, because if
- 52:37someone comes and tells you, there is a established way to
- 52:40meet that your mum life. Comes easy. 100% everyone.
- 52:45Just does that. Yeah.
- 52:46Yeah, you have that. Visiting message to seller, you
- 52:49know, 42 days in a row, you know, you have these things that
- 52:52come. Yeah.
- 52:53To us have jumped around all of these things.
- 52:55So they say, will you see him? Like, do you think that he's
- 53:00going to come to you like that and say, there's no, I'll be
- 53:03like, yeah, by the way, I'm the imam.
- 53:04You know, you'll come across some way if you are given.
- 53:08Yeah, if you are given, then you'll know after he's left,
- 53:11probably he's there. And many of the stories that we
- 53:12do here. But one thing that is from one
- 53:16of the stories that's established is the veils you put
- 53:21upon yourself. So we have the well established
- 53:25tradition from us. Allah, if you were sinless of
- 53:28you did not go towards that which Allah forbade that you'll
- 53:32be able to see angels and shake their hands.
- 53:37So first establishment is we are veiling ourselves from the Imam
- 53:41through our actions. 1/2 is obviously the Imam of your time.
- 53:49He hears you, he sees you're the one that is from your end.
- 53:59You know, if, if anyone is your friend, you know, like if if you
- 54:02have a friend that you don't talk to once a year, how close
- 54:05is he going to be? And to a friend that you speak
- 54:08to every single day, Very different, very different.
- 54:11So you're establishing a connection with your e-mail, you
- 54:14know, like you ask little questions, you know, like do you
- 54:17wake up and say Salaam, I like, do you sleep, you know, with
- 54:22autocracy and gifting it to him? Do you ever pray to Rakaat, you
- 54:26know, Kalbatan al Allah and gift it towards Imam?
- 54:28Do you pray Sadaqa on his behalf for his protection?
- 54:32How often do you recite that I had?
- 54:35How often do you go towards places where nutba is resided
- 54:39and jointly as as as a front, remember and cry over the fact
- 54:44that he's not here as of yet and we are not ready for him.
- 54:48So just little things. You know, I remember there was a
- 54:51scholar that said, you see, you can see your Imam everywhere.
- 54:56If you really think you can't see your Imam everywhere he
- 54:58goes, here's an example. He said we say that.
- 55:02So I guess if you understand they're one of the same.
- 55:13How often do you open the Quran and see Imam?
- 55:17You want to establish your connection with the Imam and you
- 55:19haven't established your connection with the Quran.
- 55:22He says you can open the Quran and see him.
- 55:23Ahmed, you know, how often do we do that?
- 55:29So you can build a connection whether you see him physically
- 55:34or with the eye of your heart, to different discussions.
- 55:37Many of us focus with this physical eye that there's no
- 55:40benefit. But if we see him with the eye
- 55:41of our heart, our dynamic on a daily basis is very different,
- 55:47very, very different. You know, if someone really
- 55:50thinks about the fact that the eye that sees the Haram that
- 55:55Allah forbade cannot see that which Allah has ordained as
- 55:59beautiful, this heart that contains evil cannot contain
- 56:03that which is all of a sudden you begin to see.
- 56:07The eye can already see my path. You know, there's external
- 56:10prophets and there are internal prophets that guide us.
- 56:14It's like you've been and. You definitely will have it.
- 56:17You definitely will have it, but you need to start.
- 56:21And you come, you'll, you'll go and you'll come.
- 56:24That recognition of the Imam, you'd imagine then qualifies,
- 56:28insha'allah, qualifies us to be amongst those who are worthy of
- 56:31being raised with the Imam. Yeah, Allah the the yearning to
- 56:35be alongside him, the yearning to do everything in his way is
- 56:39an act of loyalty. Am I doing this job because I
- 56:42believe it will be in service to Hudi Imam?
- 56:44Am I raising my children in the way they they will be in service
- 56:47to Hudi Imam. If my whole perspective on life
- 56:51and my daily actions and my my vision for the future, the way I
- 56:56family plan and everything. If it's all with the Imam as a
- 56:59primary objective, his success, his service, like everything for
- 57:04him as a primary objective. You then live your life and like
- 57:07we said, he's you die a death of knowledge of the Imam and then
- 57:11you are worthy of being called to return to him because the
- 57:13Imam want people who have lived their lives in service to him,
- 57:16who will give everything for him, who will go where he says
- 57:18go and and do what he says. So.
- 57:21These are very important things for us to realize.
- 57:22I think you've you've like. You remember, have you ever?
- 57:27I've had Christian friends and I still remember this and I was, I
- 57:32remember I was about maybe 1415 when it kind of clicked to me
- 57:36and I had this friend that used to wear a, a wristband saying
- 57:40literally I had WWJD. And I was like, you know, I was
- 57:47like, there's some company that I don't know of, you know, you
- 57:49know, sometimes I feel like I live under a rock with all these
- 57:52new crazies every two seconds coming out.
- 57:53Yeah, but you know, 1415, you're like WWJD.
- 57:58What does that mean? Literally, you know, like, and
- 58:01he's like, no, we wear this. It's part of our faith.
- 58:05I'm like, what faith is that? He goes, I'm, I'm Christian.
- 58:08He goes, I'm like, I'm, you know, for me it's what's it's
- 58:10like literally it stands for what would Jesus do?
- 58:15So I'm like. That's nice.
- 58:16I was like. We need that like Australia, I
- 58:19was like, what would Imam Mehdi do?
- 58:22So Can you imagine we had that, what would Imam Mehdi do?
- 58:25Like if you really live your life, I mean, I, I, I remember
- 58:27giving giving a lecture a few years back and, and I gave the
- 58:31example I said, I said, if you want to see that what you need
- 58:36to perfect within your life, imagine for 24 hours, Imam Mehdi
- 58:40is with you just for 24 hours. He knocks the door on your
- 58:46house. Are you even going to open it
- 58:48for him? This is your Imam.
- 58:51Are you even ready to open your own house for the Imam, let
- 58:55alone if he tells you, you know, let's go towards your work.
- 58:58Let's see what you do in your work.
- 59:00Let's go towards the unique. Let's see how you act around
- 59:02people. Give me your phone.
- 59:03Let me come and have a look at your messaging, Snapchat or
- 59:09TikTok, whatever have you. So if you're not prepared to
- 59:16give that phone or take him on a walk, the same alleyway that you
- 59:20go or the same places that you go or whatever, restaurants,
- 59:25cafes, wherever you usually go in your daily practices, how you
- 59:30usually speak to people, would you still speak about it in the
- 59:33same manner if the imam was right next to you?
- 59:37Just being conscious of that should allow us to really
- 59:42understand where our faults lie and what to perfect.
- 59:46Just just that I think by itself, just that understand
- 59:49that Imam, we know that he's sees and he's we know that.
- 59:53How much do we just just put that one-on-one together?
- 59:55Like if he's here, what would I do differently?
- 59:58Yeah, I think it's been like, like I said, an eye opening
- 1:00:03lesson for us both in terms of the Raja.
- 1:00:07But I think it's important. I like the fact that we started
- 1:00:11on that because like you said before the podcast, it will
- 1:00:14allow us to understand what qualities we need to have now
- 1:00:18during the labor of the Holy Imam to then be amongst those,
- 1:00:21why she saw what I mean? Because then it's like now we
- 1:00:24have something tangible to say because a lot of people will
- 1:00:28think, oh, I'm praying for the Imams reward.
- 1:00:31What's the likelihood mathematically that in my 60
- 1:00:34forthcoming years or Inshallah Allah gives us that long life
- 1:00:37that the Imam will return if he's not been here for another
- 1:00:39country. People will say that on a
- 1:00:41mathematical basis. But of course things are much
- 1:00:44cheaper than that. And there's there's always
- 1:00:45opportunity for us. So we have that goal, Inshallah,
- 1:00:48to be amongst the inside of the Imam if it's in our life now or
- 1:00:53even after we die, to be raised amongst inside of the Holy Imam
- 1:00:57and to be the servant of the servants.
- 1:00:58I said Ali says I'm of the Holy Imam, I lay him, I lay his
- 1:01:02Salaam. So yeah, thank you.
- 1:01:04I know. Sorry, I know you are ending the
- 1:01:07point there. It makes you think like if we
- 1:01:09say we are lovers of Imam with Hussein, we didn't we want to
- 1:01:12see him on Hussein again. Honestly, in this world we
- 1:01:15didn't. We want to be beside him.
- 1:01:17Can you imagine? Talk to him?
- 1:01:18Did. You look at the imam and look
- 1:01:19tremble like you know that's enough.
- 1:01:22We can. Achieve.
- 1:01:22That but you know, like, you know, sometimes you think to
- 1:01:25yourself like I know that Imam can see right through me.
- 1:01:30You know, like am I at a stage where I'm happy with what the
- 1:01:33Imam sees or will I actually turn away and be like, no, no,
- 1:01:36no, no, I've done that much that the Imam would already know.
- 1:01:38So I can't look at him with these two eyes that I've seen
- 1:01:42other things or with this heart that has other desires besides
- 1:01:45Allah, because he sees so like just that thinking the fact that
- 1:01:50you're going to be in the presence of an imam that knows
- 1:01:54that really like strikes me as will I be when I if Inshallah we
- 1:02:00are ever given a chance. Yeah, Sharla.
- 1:02:03Will we be prepared for that gaze?
- 1:02:06Tarana in Iraq. Say what?
- 1:02:10What Last question for me? What source of information would
- 1:02:15you direct people to for further research or even for Labour?
- 1:02:19Is there anything which you found has been very useful so I.
- 1:02:23Tips or lifetime? Sure.
- 1:02:24Raj. Raj, a little bit more delicate.
- 1:02:26Yeah. This is the foundation.
- 1:02:28Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:02:29Look, because you can go different alleyways.
- 1:02:32Yeah. So the first alleyway people
- 1:02:34would be like, I want to know. All I want to know is about the
- 1:02:37Imam in the very surface way, you know, how does he look?
- 1:02:45How tall is he? The mole?
- 1:02:47Is it in the right cheek? On the left cheek we have white
- 1:02:49hair, black hair. You know, what does is it like
- 1:02:52alien karma mean? You know, like, what does that
- 1:02:54mean? Is it going to come with the
- 1:02:55turbine? Is it actually going to come
- 1:02:56with the horses? You know, these little things
- 1:02:58that often elude people away from the actual core, you know,
- 1:03:02understanding they should have of the Imam, you know, like.
- 1:03:04We only focus on the side. Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 1:03:07You know, these are minor signs. You know, we try to add them up
- 1:03:09like he's he's, you know, this person's coming from Yemen and
- 1:03:12this is Khorasani and and this is, you know, so.
- 1:03:17But Are you ready? Like, OK, you can see the signs
- 1:03:19it might be going in that direction.
- 1:03:20But Are you ready for when he comes?
- 1:03:22How do we know? There were Muslims on either
- 1:03:24side of Karbala. There were Muslims on either
- 1:03:27side. There were those that had both
- 1:03:31of them, by the way, Omar al-Assad as an example.
- 1:03:33And both had governorship's promise to them.
- 1:03:37Yeah, both Ray and Khorasan were both promised.
- 1:03:42They both had men under them. They both had desire thrown in
- 1:03:45front of them. You know, how do I know that
- 1:03:48when a desire comes in front of me, I won't slip?
- 1:03:53Yusuf had if, if many of the men would be in front in that
- 1:04:00situation, many of them would slip.
- 1:04:03We reduce this to like, yeah, of course that's what it does.
- 1:04:05But you go towards the imams. The imams and a sin is mentioned
- 1:04:10in front of them. It says we seek refuge in Allah,
- 1:04:13you know, for us like no, no way, you know, like me do that
- 1:04:17sin or do that then I'm saying we seek refuge in Allah, you
- 1:04:23know, and they're infallible. So the perfection of oneself.
- 1:04:29That's that's the reason why it's the greatest jihad, this
- 1:04:33and this, this multitude of reasons of why it's the greatest
- 1:04:36jihad, you know, and whoever knows themselves can perfect
- 1:04:42themselves. So once, once you identify the
- 1:04:45faults within you, you know, you can have people around you that
- 1:04:48can identify for you. You know, that's why we say a
- 1:04:50believer is like a mirror because you can see your faults
- 1:04:54through them that you may not see.
- 1:04:57So surround yourself with people that can guide you towards the
- 1:05:00Imam and not surrounding yourself with people that take
- 1:05:04you the other way. So there's a lot, there's a lot
- 1:05:07to yourself, your circles that you create, your job, you know,
- 1:05:13eliminating the environmental factors.
- 1:05:14There's just sin, sin, sin, sin. Shaytan is just in every
- 1:05:17absolute angle. But just like you can see that
- 1:05:19shaytan at every angle, you have an opportunity to fight against
- 1:05:23him if you are able to see through the eye of your heart,
- 1:05:25the Imam at every position as well.
- 1:05:29Shala shala. But William, we have that
- 1:05:31marathon and Charlotte, we can build on that relationship and
- 1:05:34that connection with our living, breathing, listening, talking
- 1:05:37imam. That is in and around us.
- 1:05:40It's. Our fault, if you know.
- 1:05:44Similarly, we say Karbala and Imam Hussain being so far like,
- 1:05:49yeah, like we have an opportunity to do that with Imam
- 1:05:54and men. Very true.
- 1:05:56But it makes you wonder. It makes you think.
- 1:05:58You said so much nice points from the beginning until now
- 1:06:02throughout the discussion. It's just making me think how
- 1:06:05can I see Imam and Mehdi if my eye sees that which is unlawful.
- 1:06:08For example, how can I have a conversation with my Imam if
- 1:06:13this tongue utters that which this please?
- 1:06:14Accent, accent. It's down to us and it's up to
- 1:06:17us. If we want that.
- 1:06:18We have to work for it. This life is not easy, but
- 1:06:22doesn't mean we don't work for it.
- 1:06:24Yeah, and just because, OK, we go to work, we're good with
- 1:06:26family, blah, blah, blah, everything should be OK.
- 1:06:28No, we have to do more. Have to.
- 1:06:31I need where. Where, where's the struggle if
- 1:06:33everything's easy? Yeah, yeah.
- 1:06:34That's the whole point. Where's a true test?
- 1:06:35Life is a test and this is part. Of it.
- 1:06:37And this is our mission statement.
- 1:06:39Sure, other Muslims perhaps don't have that.
- 1:06:43That vision, that goal, that mission, that end objective.
- 1:06:46Do you know what I mean? We are Shia.
- 1:06:48We are Shia of the medi. We know what our goal is, who
- 1:06:51we're working for, what we're aiming for.
- 1:06:54Or at least we know what it should.
- 1:06:55Be. But what Lie this We lie the we
- 1:06:57lie. We can't.
- 1:06:58We can't talk about it enough. Honestly.
- 1:07:00Yeah, like there's this discussions I was listening to
- 1:07:03and I'm just like, you know, we have this tradition that says if
- 1:07:07people actually contemplated over the story of Adam and
- 1:07:12Iblis, you know, we wouldn't have all these conflicts because
- 1:07:17I ask a question. Yeah, we hear the story of Iblis
- 1:07:20and Adam. Yeah.
- 1:07:22Can you say Iblis didn't worship?
- 1:07:25No one worships as much as Iblis 6000 years.
- 1:07:27And when Ali says he doesn't know from this world or from the
- 1:07:306000 years of that world, yeah, so he has the weight.
- 1:07:37Or when he says submit to Adam, Yeah, just like in Radir Khan,
- 1:07:42Allah says submit towards alib, Nabbit alib.
- 1:07:46Yeah, arrogance. Refused Imama.
- 1:07:49They refused Imama. Yeah.
- 1:07:53So just just little things there, you know, like.
- 1:07:56Well, we could easily, like you said, said the lesson's all.
- 1:08:00There. Yeah.
- 1:08:00Yeah, you're right. And.
- 1:08:01We can, we can, we can reject the Imam of our Imam.
- 1:08:06We may well be doing that, unfortunately passively at the
- 1:08:08moment, rejecting the Imam of Imam Mehdi.
- 1:08:12You know, if we don't take it and day-to-day kind of take it
- 1:08:16forward, I certainly would say that.
- 1:08:18Thank you so much Habibi, for everything, for the knowledge
- 1:08:21we've gained from you, not just today, but obviously the.
- 1:08:23Last Habibi, Habibi, I've I've gained just as much as from you
- 1:08:25as you have from me. Habibi.
- 1:08:27No, no much. I don't know every episode.
- 1:08:30Would you say it's there's a lot?
- 1:08:32Of like it's it's it's a it. Feels like home, OK.
- 1:08:35Habibi habibi, habibi. Not about what what I truly want
- 1:08:38to say. Like every time we've had a
- 1:08:39conversation with you, even off the podcast, say there's like
- 1:08:42you, you, you leave like a good impact where I'm not just going
- 1:08:47to say yes knowledge, you know, you're very relatable and
- 1:08:50there's like a unique sense of delivery that you have that I
- 1:08:52can understand. Hi, baby.
- 1:08:54I'm not saying. I feel like.
- 1:08:57We're going to have discussion after the broken down.
- 1:08:59Has to be one of the most complex theories on the
- 1:09:04aftermath of the podcast. It's such a Hamden.
- 1:09:07Last as as long as in in Charlotte and Charlotte.
- 1:09:10So we're going to know from the comments about it, it makes
- 1:09:13sense. Inshallah it did to us.
- 1:09:16Maybe we'll do a follow up. One no Raja 2.0.
- 1:09:19Two .0. Yeah, there's also a lot of good
- 1:09:21useful information on slab.org for those who want to deepen
- 1:09:25learnings. But also obviously it's it's
- 1:09:27it's very what's the word? It's like an overview of the
- 1:09:31different opinions. And of course, like the same
- 1:09:33mentioned at the beginning, this is something which is highly
- 1:09:36technical and therefore it's like, you know, it's rarely
- 1:09:40spoken about, I think on a mass scale because of that reason.
- 1:09:45But it's very important for us to know about it and also work
- 1:09:48towards it as part of our time. Now in the paper sounds upset.
- 1:09:52Thank you baby, Thank you for having me everything.
- 1:09:54Shala, we will see you again. In the next episode, whenever
- 1:09:59that is, Shala shala shala shala, Abhi was saying.
- 1:10:03I just want to say thank you so much for your time.
- 1:10:05And of course, these are good memories we have as well as I
- 1:10:11know the audience, the listeners and the, you know, the viewers,
- 1:10:14they, they, they learn a lot and it's something that we can take
- 1:10:18on throughout our lives. Again, I'm going to say another
- 1:10:21point just because you're just because you're here is not why
- 1:10:23I'm saying it. But even when we have a
- 1:10:24discussion here and after a month, we've referenced you so
- 1:10:27many times in our discussions, whether we didn't get back to
- 1:10:30previous episodes we have or conversations we have outside of
- 1:10:33the podcast with yourselves. Hi, baby.
- 1:10:35Yeah, Andy, it's I don't know what to say.
- 1:10:38I just want to say may I lost panel.
- 1:10:39I'll give you the top view. Hi, baby.
- 1:10:41The opportunity to continue to serve this beautiful religion,
- 1:10:44this amazing faith we have. And if we have more people like
- 1:10:48say, Abdullah Naheb, that many of us can be inshallah inspired
- 1:10:51to know the Imam of our time and to have Maharafa with the Ellen
- 1:10:54Bait. That's all I learn and lost
- 1:10:56panel. What's?
- 1:10:57On Central. All right guys, I hope you
- 1:10:59enjoyed that. Hit the subscribe button and
- 1:11:02make sure to stay tuned for next week and inshallah we will be
- 1:11:05back then. It's not what?
- 1:11:08I need.
