- 0:00Speaker 1: From Hollywood to you. Thank you for listening to us.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Ryan Seacrest. Seacrest.
- 0:04Speaker 1: On air, on air, on air with Ryan Seacrest. Good
- 0:10Speaker 1: morning and welcome back to it. 102.7 at Kiss FM.
- 0:14Speaker 1: We're heading into a new week and more heat. 80s
- 0:17Speaker 1: and 90s again. Hi, Sisney. Hi, Tanya. Good morning.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Hey.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Good morning.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Here we are.
- 0:22Speaker 4: Let's see.
- 0:23Speaker 1: What do we got today? The Primetime Emmys tonight. Today's
- 0:26Speaker 1: National Cream-Filled Donut Day. Happy birthday to the Pope. The
- 0:31Speaker 1: Pope's got a big party coming up. Pope Leo. Yeah,
- 0:34Speaker 1: Pope Leo does for the birthday party.
- 0:36Speaker 5: 71.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Now, here's our plan. Chatsworth. That's the site for free gas.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Ronnie's going to be out there. And it is a Monday.
- 0:44Speaker 1: So as you get yourself organized... This morning, Ryan's Roses
- 0:49Speaker 1: is coming up. She overheard an odd phone conversation involving
- 0:53Speaker 1: her husband. Now, it was unconventional, this conversation, and he
- 0:59Speaker 1: had an excuse. His sister says he's lying about it.
- 1:04Speaker 1: His sister. So if his sister is throwing him under
- 1:07Speaker 1: the bus, that is pretty credible. Wow. That's coming up
- 1:15Speaker 1: at 7.40 this morning. Have you sent me your name
- 1:19Speaker 1: to get your bill paid? That's the other thing we're doing.
- 1:22Speaker 1: And it is, I mean, with every week and day
- 1:24Speaker 1: that goes by, we're talking about those products that are
- 1:26Speaker 1: going to go up in price, household things that are
- 1:28Speaker 1: not going down before the end of the year. It
- 1:30Speaker 1: all adds up. So that's why we're paying your bills.
- 1:33Speaker 1: I am the, I don't know if I'm the mascot,
- 1:38Speaker 1: but definitely the number one advocate for side hustling. I've
- 1:41Speaker 1: always had two or three things, sometimes nine things going
- 1:45Speaker 1: at once. I like it.
- 1:47Speaker 3: A lot of plates spinning in the air.
- 1:48Speaker 1: A lot of plates spinning. Everybody's got a side hustle.
- 1:51Speaker 1: You need a side hustle, right? Jordan, you've got a
- 1:54Speaker 1: lot of side hustles. I'm going to bring it up
- 1:55Speaker 1: to the microphone. Jordan works at here, works at Jersey Mike's.
- 1:58Speaker 1: I didn't realize you were reffing basketball in the Valley.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. One of my favorite things, actually, to do.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Now, what does it take to be a basketball ref,
- 2:07Speaker 1: and what ages are you reffing?
- 2:08Speaker 6: Eight.
- 2:09Speaker 7: One, it takes a lot of guts and you just
- 2:10Speaker 7: got to be brave. Just going out there, always being
- 2:12Speaker 7: the enemy.
- 2:14Speaker 3: But yeah, I.
- 2:16Speaker 7: Do all ages from maybe like little kids, first grade
- 2:22Speaker 7: till about eighth grade.
- 2:24Speaker 1: And how long have you known all the detailed rules
- 2:26Speaker 1: of basketball?
- 2:27Speaker 7: Since it was my first gig, actually, and I was 12.
- 2:32Speaker 1: You were reffing at 12?
- 2:33Speaker 8: Mm-hmm.
- 2:34Speaker 3: I love that.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I want a 12 year old referee.
- 2:37Speaker 7: I was like so eager to make money. And my
- 2:40Speaker 7: mom said, let's see what's in Burbank that you can do.
- 2:43Speaker 7: Like that's, you know, kind of under the table, make
- 2:45Speaker 7: some quick cash.
- 2:46Speaker 3: And it was that.
- 2:47Speaker 1: So under the table cash. There you go.
- 2:51Speaker 9: Sure.
- 2:52Speaker 1: So this is a first though, right? You had to
- 2:54Speaker 1: throw a lot of dad at the game.
- 2:56Speaker 9: Yes.
- 2:56Speaker 7: I'm feeling pretty good these days. It felt great to just,
- 3:00Speaker 7: finally get this guy out of here. He's been an
- 3:02Speaker 7: issue for this league specifically, just always known as the
- 3:07Speaker 7: one that tries to.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Make his kid look like a star. And, you know,
- 3:12Speaker 3: I'm here for it.
- 3:13Speaker 7: You know, I'm never going to drag him, but he's
- 3:15Speaker 7: just always rude to the refs. And so to that
- 3:18Speaker 7: on Saturday, when I was doing these games, he came
- 3:21Speaker 7: in and my.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Partner and I were looking at each other like, oh, great,
- 3:23Speaker 3: we got this guy.
- 3:24Speaker 7: And I think maybe towards the end of the first half, he,
- 3:30Speaker 7: in front of us, it was me, him, and his son.
- 3:32Speaker 7: His son flopped. And I didn't make the call because
- 3:36Speaker 7: obviously it was a flop. And he yelled at me.
- 3:38Speaker 7: And he pointed his finger at me and was just
- 3:40Speaker 7: like being very patronizing.
- 3:43Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 3:43Speaker 3: So I said, all right, dude, I've had it. blew
- 3:46Speaker 3: the whistle, and I said, you're out of here. It
- 3:48Speaker 3: felt so good.
- 3:50Speaker 1: That's amazing.
- 3:51Speaker 3: It took so much in me to just do that, yeah.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Tweet, you're out of here.
- 3:56Speaker 7: Yup, yup.
- 3:56Speaker 1: And what did the crowd do? What did the players do?
- 3:59Speaker 7: You know, we got some boos because obviously like the
- 4:02Speaker 7: other team, it was a championship game. So none of
- 4:06Speaker 7: the players and none of the parents were happy, but
- 4:09Speaker 7: me and my partner, we looked at each other and
- 4:11Speaker 7: we're like, yeah, that was a good call.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Good. Good on you. And you reserved the power to
- 4:16Speaker 1: do that since you were 12 years old. So you've
- 4:18Speaker 1: been waiting for the right moment.
- 4:19Speaker 10: Waiting.
- 4:20Speaker 7: And it was him and it felt just so good
- 4:22Speaker 7: because I'm not really a confrontational person. So like doing
- 4:25Speaker 7: that really just like put my foot down.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Do you on the way out after the game, do
- 4:29Speaker 1: you make sure you slip out the side door?
- 4:31Speaker 3: No, I walked out the same exit as all of them.
- 4:34Speaker 1: And he didn't say anything to you? Like, why'd you
- 4:36Speaker 1: throw me out?
- 4:36Speaker 3: I honestly couldn't find him.
- 4:38Speaker 7: I was waiting for him to see if he was
- 4:39Speaker 7: waiting for my partner and I to come out, but
- 4:41Speaker 7: he was gone.
- 4:43Speaker 1: We want to go watch you ref the game.
- 4:46Speaker 6: Please.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Good on you.
- 4:47Speaker 3: Yeah, thank you.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Better watch out. Jordan's on one. You better watch out.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Don't get in her way out here on Kiss FM
- 4:52Speaker 1: in the back room. You know, if the theme parks
- 4:56Speaker 1: are doing Halloween... It's fine for you to start getting
- 4:59Speaker 1: ready for Halloween and decorating your house for Halloween. I
- 5:02Speaker 1: think it's totally fine. And after all this heat, we're
- 5:05Speaker 1: ready for some of these fall holidays. It's fine, obviously,
- 5:07Speaker 1: to start planning your Thanksgiving. And what are you going
- 5:10Speaker 1: to do for the holidays? Because this month will go fast.
- 5:12Speaker 9: Yes.
- 5:12Speaker 6: It will.
- 5:13Speaker 1: You've got to coordinate. Now, Tonya, you were pitching a
- 5:16Speaker 1: new idea for Thanksgiving this year, weren't you?
- 5:18Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 5:18Speaker 11: Well, because we were talking to some of our family
- 5:20Speaker 11: who will have to double dip on Thanksgiving coming up.
- 5:23Speaker 11: to ours and go to another family members. And so
- 5:26Speaker 11: we were thinking about maybe doing it differently this year
- 5:29Speaker 11: and doing, instead of doing Thanksgiving at like three or
- 5:32Speaker 11: four Thanksgiving dinner, doing Thanksgiving brunch. That way everybody can
- 5:35Speaker 11: come to us early and then go to their other houses.
- 5:40Speaker 11: But then I was like, do we serve French toast
- 5:44Speaker 11: and pancakes and eggs?
- 5:46Speaker 1: Turkey sausage.
- 5:48Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 5:49Speaker 10: Turkey sausage.
- 5:50Speaker 3: A little spin on it.
- 5:51Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 5:52Speaker 3: Hold on. I want to understand the brunch.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Is the brunch convenient for you or for people coming?
- 5:57Speaker 10: People coming.
- 5:59Speaker 9: Oh.
- 5:59Speaker 1: I don't know if it's convenient for anybody.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Why not?
- 6:02Speaker 1: Who wants to get up and rush into Thanksgiving? I mean,
- 6:06Speaker 1: you have to hit a bunch of spots.
- 6:07Speaker 10: If you have two, wouldn't you rather one be a
- 6:09Speaker 10: lot earlier? And then, you know, this.
- 6:10Speaker 12: Has happened in my family and we didn't do a brunch,
- 6:13Speaker 12: but my mother-in-law ended up doing Thanksgiving on Wednesday.
- 6:16Speaker 3: And so we had two Thanksgivings. Yeah.
- 6:20Speaker 1: It's it's a, it throws you a little bit. I've
- 6:23Speaker 1: done that before with some of our family and our friends.
- 6:25Speaker 1: We've had a Friendsgiving and then a Thanksgiving.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:28Speaker 1: And it's kind of nice because you get twice the
- 6:31Speaker 1: experience of a full Thanksgiving.
- 6:33Speaker 11: But then if we do it on Wednesday, then what
- 6:35Speaker 11: do we do on our actual Thanksgiving when we don't
- 6:37Speaker 11: have anywhere else to go?
- 6:38Speaker 3: You can come over to my house. I don't even
- 6:40Speaker 3: know if I'm actually.
- 6:41Speaker 1: What time is the first football game? Oh, like 10 a.m., right?
- 6:46Speaker 1: I think it works.
- 6:47Speaker 12: I don't hate the brunch idea. I mean, people want
- 6:49Speaker 12: to eat all day, so might as well just feed
- 6:51Speaker 12: them their brunch. You get excited, you get up, put
- 6:53Speaker 12: the parade on, put the game on and start. But
- 6:55Speaker 12: you have plenty of breakfast turkey items.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Right.
- 6:58Speaker 1: And you're right.
- 6:59Speaker 3: We could do like a spin.
- 7:00Speaker 11: Like we could do like, like, yeah, instead of mashed potatoes,
- 7:03Speaker 11: we do hash browns.
- 7:04Speaker 10: And instead of stuffing, we do.
- 7:08Speaker 1: You'll figure it out.
- 7:08Speaker 3: Like a turkey hash.
- 7:09Speaker 10: Cranberry pancakes. You know, like we could kind of do
- 7:12Speaker 10: a spin on things.
- 7:13Speaker 1: I think it's actually, it could catch on.
- 7:15Speaker 10: It's kind of cute.
- 7:16Speaker 3: I think so.
- 7:17Speaker 1: And then you have the rest of the day off. Right. Yeah,
- 7:21Speaker 1: that's true, too. Get everybody out.
- 7:22Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 7:22Speaker 1: You didn't sell it to me that way.
- 7:24Speaker 10: And then we can, like, go on a long walk
- 7:25Speaker 10: in the afternoon.
- 7:26Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Good.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Long walk. Yeah, long walk and a talk. Yeah, I
- 7:31Speaker 1: love a talk. You know, Robbie, what are you thankful
- 7:33Speaker 1: for about me?
- 7:34Speaker 12: And then Robbie and I can write down what we're
- 7:36Speaker 12: thankful for all night.
- 7:37Speaker 4: Yes.
- 7:38Speaker 3: Oh, I love it.
- 7:39Speaker 1: All right, coming up next is a quote of the day.
- 7:40Speaker 1: It's Kiss FM. Oh, I want to tell you, I
- 7:43Speaker 1: saw this. These are considered the names of... These are
- 7:47Speaker 1: the future names for children that are considered to be
- 7:51Speaker 1: the most loyal, trustworthy, and grounded people if they have
- 7:55Speaker 1: this name. So if you're thinking about a baby name,
- 7:58Speaker 1: the most loyal, trustworthy, and grounded female names, Elizabeth, Caroline,
- 8:03Speaker 1: and Anna. We don't have any here.
- 8:07Speaker 8: No.
- 8:08Speaker 1: For the guys, the names are William, Robert, and Alexander.
- 8:13Speaker 10: Oh, Robert is stand up.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Really? Do you know a Robert?
- 8:18Speaker 3: I know, yeah.
- 8:20Speaker 10: Every Robert I.
- 8:20Speaker 3: Know is like.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Isn't your husband Robert?
- 8:23Speaker 3: No, he's just Robbie. Isn't that interesting?
- 8:25Speaker 1: He's not Robert. No, he's not Robert.
- 8:26Speaker 3: He's just Robbie on his birth certificate.
- 8:28Speaker 10: R-O-B-Y.
- 8:30Speaker 1: But that is interesting. I never thought about that.
- 8:31Speaker 3: That's kind of like Robie. Yeah, it's not Robert.
- 8:36Speaker 1: And did you ever ask his parents why?
- 8:38Speaker 4: No, actually.
- 8:40Speaker 3: And why is Robert Bobby?
- 8:43Speaker 1: You guys, I mean... Yeah, I don't know.
- 8:45Speaker 6: Right?
- 8:46Speaker 3: That makes zero sense to me.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Why is Richard? Uh-huh.
- 8:50Speaker 3: We can't even say it.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Let's just move on to the quote. No amount of
- 8:55Speaker 1: waiting will make you braver. No amount of worrying will
- 8:59Speaker 1: make you safer.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Stop.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Take the anxiety down. This is Kiss FM. Good morning.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Kiss after 7 o'clock. We're going to check in with Ronnie.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Chat's worth free gas. Sisney, the headlines. Kiss FM headlines
- 9:12Speaker 1: with Sisney.

- 9:16Speaker 12: the beach erosion caused by the waves from Hurricane Marie.
- 9:20Speaker 12: Hundreds gathered yesterday for the 80th.
- 9:22Speaker 3: Annual East L.A. Mexican Independence Day Parade and Festival.

- 9:50Speaker 1: up in a few minutes. 740. We get into it here.
- 9:54Speaker 1: She overheard an odd phone conversation involving her husband. He
- 9:58Speaker 1: had an excuse. His sisters. saying he's lying details at

- 10:19Speaker 1: for somebody.
- 10:20Speaker 8: Okay, listen. I'm still on the way to the gas station.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Oh, okay. Running.
- 10:27Speaker 8: I'm like seven minutes away. I was running a little
- 10:30Speaker 8: late this morning, but I am getting there, and I'm
- 10:33Speaker 8: going to give people some free gas.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Okay, so just call it. Don't worry about it. We
- 10:38Speaker 1: have plenty of things to get to this morning, so
- 10:40Speaker 1: when you get there... He's trying to be.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Oh, can you guys hear me?
- 10:44Speaker 1: Are you sure? Oh, he actually might be bad. Buying
- 10:46Speaker 1: himself some time.
- 10:48Speaker 8: The service is bad. I really can't hear you guys
- 10:51Speaker 8: so well.
- 10:53Speaker 12: We knew this day would come when your alarm clock
- 10:55Speaker 12: wouldn't go off and you would be late.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Are you traditionally an oversleeper?
- 11:00Speaker 8: Well, you know, I'm just like, yeah, I'm not traditionally
- 11:03Speaker 8: an oversleeper, but I'm not so much a morning person.
- 11:06Speaker 8: And then I get really nervous. So I text my mom.
- 11:09Speaker 8: This is a true story. My mom lives in Florida,
- 11:12Speaker 8: so they're three hours ahead. And I will text her
- 11:15Speaker 8: to be like, hey, mommy, can you wake me up, please,
- 11:17Speaker 8: when I have to be up early?
- 11:19Speaker 1: And what does she do to wake you up?
- 11:21Speaker 6: She'll call me over and over again.
- 11:24Speaker 1: So you're not a, you're not normally a morning person, huh?
- 11:28Speaker 8: No, I love to just sleep in.
- 11:31Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Well, so do I. All right. Ronnie, we will check
- 11:39Speaker 1: in with you when you get to the gas station
- 11:41Speaker 1: in your own time. Okay.
- 11:43Speaker 8: Well, I'm going to get there fast. I'm not just
- 11:45Speaker 8: cruising along.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Okay, bye. Bye. All right. I want Ronnie's mommy to
- 11:52Speaker 1: call me and wake me up. Yeah, mommy. 102.7 KISS FM.
- 11:57Speaker 1: I got to take this call from Taylor. Very interesting.
- 12:01Speaker 1: I'm not quite sure where it's going to go, but
- 12:02Speaker 1: I think, Taylor, good morning. So you're calling about your
- 12:06Speaker 1: ex who's a serial cheater who's dating somebody else, and
- 12:10Speaker 1: you're wondering, should you tip off the new girl? Yes, yes.
- 12:16Speaker 13: So basically, my ex-husband, he cheated on me repeatedly throughout
- 12:20Speaker 13: our marriage. sick and he just continued cheating in like
- 12:25Speaker 13: every single way possible until we finally divorced a little
- 12:28Speaker 13: over a year ago and now he has a new
- 12:30Speaker 13: girlfriend but honestly like i feel terrible for her she
- 12:33Speaker 13: seems so sweet and i know exactly how charming and
- 12:37Speaker 13: manipulative he can be and so like i you know
- 12:40Speaker 13: just girl to girl i desperately want to warn her
- 12:42Speaker 13: but am i going to come across as like a
- 12:44Speaker 13: bitter ex-wife trying to sabotage.
- 12:46Speaker 2: His new relationship kind of yes possibly.
- 12:49Speaker 13: Yeah okay The question is, I.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Mean, at some point you've got to just stop and say,
- 12:58Speaker 1: this is not your problem anymore.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 13:00Speaker 3: It's not my world.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Because otherwise it continues. I know you want, it's a,
- 13:04Speaker 1: it's a kind hearted thing you want to do, but
- 13:07Speaker 1: I really believe you got to just pause and go,
- 13:09Speaker 1: not my, I lived through this. Not my problem. Not
- 13:12Speaker 1: get involved in the next layer of this.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:15Speaker 1: That continues to have you, you connected to him too.
- 13:17Speaker 3: Exactly. And then, the toxicness of it.
- 13:21Speaker 11: Unless you start dating somebody in your world, like a
- 13:23Speaker 11: friend of yours or something, but then that'd be weird.
- 13:26Speaker 3: So yeah, that'd be messed up.
- 13:28Speaker 1: But I do feel what you're saying, which is you
- 13:31Speaker 1: feel bad for this new person. It's going to find
- 13:33Speaker 1: out the hard way.
- 13:34Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 13:35Speaker 13: And I wouldn't give it anything for someone to warn
- 13:37Speaker 13: me when I first got with him. Cause at least
- 13:39Speaker 13: it would have planted a seed.
- 13:40Speaker 3: Oh, see this changes things now.
- 13:43Speaker 1: It does.
- 13:44Speaker 6: Hmm.
- 13:45Speaker 9: Hmm.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Hmm.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Okay. If it were me, I would just, I would
- 13:50Speaker 1: want to do the good thing, but I would stop.
- 13:53Speaker 1: I would just let it, it needs to be, the
- 13:55Speaker 1: universe needs to move you two on from each other.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Okay. That's what I think you should do for your
- 14:02Speaker 1: own sake and your own heart.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Do you guys have kids?
- 14:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:06Speaker 2: No, thank goodness.
- 14:07Speaker 3: Even more of a reason to cut ties and just
- 14:09Speaker 3: don't get involved.
- 14:11Speaker 1: You're a good person and sorry it all happened to you, Taylor.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Thank you for calling.
- 14:14Speaker 13: Thank you. Thanks so much.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Bye.
- 14:17Speaker 9: Bye. Bye.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Maybe an anonymous note. Anyway, Ryan's Rose is next and
- 14:24Speaker 1: Disneyland tickets. 102.7 Kiss FM. It's time for Ryan's Roses.
- 14:32Speaker 1: If you think someone is cheating on you, this is
- 14:35Speaker 1: a last resort to come to, but a public service.
- 14:38Speaker 1: And we'll try and help out. Katie is on the line. So, Katie,
- 14:41Speaker 1: explain this. You overheard your husband on a phone call saying, okay, sweetie,
- 14:45Speaker 1: to somebody else. You asked him about it, and he
- 14:48Speaker 1: said what?
- 14:49Speaker 2: So as soon as he hung up the phone, I
- 14:53Speaker 2: was like, who was that? He paused and he said
- 14:55Speaker 2: it was his mom.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Okay.
- 14:59Speaker 2: And I was just like, okay, you call your mom sweetie?
- 15:03Speaker 2: And he said, yeah, I've called her that for years, so.
- 15:08Speaker 2: I don't know. I tried to get into his phone
- 15:11Speaker 2: and I failed. So I called his sister and I
- 15:15Speaker 2: asked her, I said, have you ever heard your brother
- 15:16Speaker 2: call your mom sweetie? And she laughed and said never.
- 15:21Speaker 2: And then she realized this was not a laughing matter.
- 15:24Speaker 2: And she's actually the one who suggested I reached out
- 15:27Speaker 2: to you.
- 15:28Speaker 1: So why does his sister not believe it?
- 15:33Speaker 2: Because she said he's never called his mom sweetie. I mean,
- 15:35Speaker 2: if that's something he does all the time, I feel
- 15:37Speaker 2: like his sister would have heard him do that.
- 15:40Speaker 12: And you would know by now if he's your husband,
- 15:42Speaker 12: you know, like you would have heard it in passing
- 15:44Speaker 12: or whatever.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 15:45Speaker 2: In five years? Yeah, I think I would have heard
- 15:47Speaker 2: him do it. I mean, I've never, neither of us
- 15:49Speaker 2: have ever heard him do that.
- 15:50Speaker 3: Yeah, that's strange.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Maybe it was accidental. I mean, Tanya called L.A. baby
- 15:55Speaker 1: earlier and that was strange.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Did you ever call your mom sweetie, Ryan?
- 16:00Speaker 9: No.
- 16:01Speaker 1: I don't call anybody sweetie.
- 16:03Speaker 2: I haven't heard him called. He's never called me sweetie.
- 16:07Speaker 2: That's just not a word in his vocabulary.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Okay. It's not in mine either. I say like babe, baby, baby, baby. Anyway,
- 16:16Speaker 1: hold on one second. We'll try and track him down
- 16:18Speaker 1: next and see if we can find out. It's Kiss FM.
- 16:21Speaker 1: We're about to make the call for Ryan's Roses. Katie's
- 16:24Speaker 1: on the line. She overheard her husband on the phone
- 16:27Speaker 1: call saying, okay, sweetie, when he was hanging up, he said, oh,
- 16:30Speaker 1: that was my mom. His own sister says no. He's
- 16:34Speaker 1: never said that to our mom before. So we think
- 16:39Speaker 1: something's going on. That's what Katie is concerned about. So, Katie,
- 16:41Speaker 1: we're going to call your husband and see what we
- 16:43Speaker 1: can find out. Is he talking to another woman calling
- 16:46Speaker 1: her sweetie and denying it to you? I need you
- 16:50Speaker 1: to say, Ryan, you have my permission to call and
- 16:52Speaker 1: then his name. Go ahead.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Ryan, you have my permission to call.
- 16:58Speaker 1: We're going to do it now. Be very quiet. So
- 17:01Speaker 1: we can see what he says. Here we go.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Okay.
- 17:13Speaker 4: Hello?
- 17:15Speaker 3: Hi, is this Justin?
- 17:18Speaker 2: It is, yes.
- 17:19Speaker 3: Hi, my name is Erin. I'm calling from Magic Blooms.
- 17:21Speaker 3: How are you doing this morning?
- 17:24Speaker 6: Doing okay.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Great.
- 17:25Speaker 12: You know, we deliver here locally in Anaheim and surrounding areas,
- 17:27Speaker 12: and we're offering a free promotion. It's free dozen red
- 17:30Speaker 12: roses that you can send to anybody that you'd like.
- 17:35Speaker 6: What company is this?
- 17:36Speaker 3: Our name is Magic Blooms, and we deliver here locally.
- 17:40Speaker 6: Magic Blooms. How did you guys get my number?
- 17:44Speaker 12: You may have purchased something either online in the past
- 17:47Speaker 12: 18 months and selected to receive promotional offers.
- 17:50Speaker 6: God, I do not know how I got on these lists.
- 17:54Speaker 12: Um, we don't, we don't take your info or anything
- 17:56Speaker 12: like that. I don't need cash from you. It's not
- 17:57Speaker 12: a subscription. It's just something that we do about once
- 17:59Speaker 12: a month. We like to, you know, do this promotion.
- 18:02Speaker 12: It's a free dozen red roses. You can send them
- 18:04Speaker 12: to anybody and there's no obligation for you to come
- 18:07Speaker 12: back to us or anything like that. I mean, if
- 18:08Speaker 12: you want to come back as a customer, fantastic. Spread
- 18:10Speaker 12: the word.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Great.
- 18:11Speaker 3: Obviously, but these are free.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:14Speaker 6: Right. And then I give you my email and then
- 18:16Speaker 6: I get bombarded.
- 18:17Speaker 3: With like, no, I don't need your email. Is there
- 18:20Speaker 3: anybody that you want to send free roses to?
- 18:25Speaker 6: So if I, if I send roses, then, um, I'm not,
- 18:29Speaker 6: I'm not put on like a special, like mailing list
- 18:31Speaker 6: or a third party list or anything like that.
- 18:33Speaker 1: No.
- 18:37Speaker 8: All right.
- 18:38Speaker 6: Well then, uh, I mean, fine.
- 18:41Speaker 1: All right.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Let's start with the name of the person you want
- 18:43Speaker 3: to send to.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Uh, okay.
- 18:46Speaker 6: The name's Amber.
- 18:48Speaker 3: All right. And what would you like to put on
- 18:51Speaker 3: the card for Amber?
- 18:51Speaker 6: Oh, there's a card. Um, I don't know, something like,
- 18:57Speaker 6: are they like little tiny cards?
- 19:00Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 19:02Speaker 6: Yeah, just put something like, consider this a grand gesture.
- 19:07Speaker 1: How about that?
- 19:08Speaker 3: Consider this a grand gesture, okay.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Justin, your voice is being broadcast on the radio, and
- 19:15Speaker 1: I have your wife, Katie, on the phone. Who is Amber?
- 19:19Speaker 9: What?
- 19:23Speaker 7: What?
- 19:24Speaker 1: Who is Amber?
- 19:26Speaker 6: I don't know what you're talking about.
- 19:32Speaker 1: What do you mean? I just heard you send her
- 19:36Speaker 1: a grand gesture.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Uh-huh.
- 19:39Speaker 1: In the form of red romantic roses. Just who is she?
- 19:45Speaker 6: Amber's an old friend of mine. I don't understand what's
- 19:48Speaker 6: going on here.
- 19:48Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 19:49Speaker 13: I knew it.
- 19:50Speaker 2: I knew it.
- 19:50Speaker 9: I knew it.
- 19:51Speaker 2: You are such a liar. I knew you were talking
- 19:54Speaker 2: to Amber and not your mom.
- 19:57Speaker 1: Just to retrace the steps here, Justin, your wife Katie
- 20:00Speaker 1: reached out to us to find out what's happening in
- 20:03Speaker 1: your relationship. She heard you say something about sweetie on
- 20:07Speaker 1: the phone the other day. Your own sister said that
- 20:10Speaker 1: wasn't your mom as you tried to make it your mom.
- 20:12Speaker 1: It wasn't. So who's Amber?
- 20:16Speaker 6: That was my mom that I was talking to the
- 20:18Speaker 6: other day.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Katie, what are you doing?
- 20:21Speaker 6: This is ridiculous.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Even if it was your mom, why are you sending
- 20:25Speaker 1: Amber the grand gesture of red roses?
- 20:29Speaker 3: You're such a liar.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Amber's an old friend of mine. Amber, I knew it.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Amber's an old friend. Do you know his old friend, Katie?
- 20:37Speaker 2: It's his ex-girlfriend. He never wanted to talk about why
- 20:42Speaker 2: she broke up with him.
- 20:45Speaker 6: I literally knew this would happen. I talked to Amber...
- 20:50Speaker 6: Cause she had just gone through something. She just, she
- 20:53Speaker 6: had just gone through a big loss in her life.
- 20:55Speaker 6: And I was simply being a friend online. So I
- 20:58Speaker 6: thought in this moment, yeah, I'll send somebody, you know,
- 21:01Speaker 6: like feel better.
- 21:03Speaker 3: But you didn't say feel better in the card.
- 21:08Speaker 6: Yeah. I said, I said, here's a nice gesture.
- 21:11Speaker 3: No, you said this is a grand gesture.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Justin, you're caught, bro. This is really clean and simple.
- 21:19Speaker 1: You're caught. Just fess up.
- 21:23Speaker 6: It's literally an inside joke between... Oh, my God.
- 21:27Speaker 1: That's so cute.
- 21:31Speaker 2: No, it's not. Deep down, I always knew I was
- 21:34Speaker 2: your second choice. I married you anyway. I'm an idiot.
- 21:38Speaker 2: I don't even know why we're doing this. Oh, my God.
- 21:40Speaker 2: I can't believe this.
- 21:42Speaker 6: Katie, let me talk to you, okay, without... like all
- 21:45Speaker 6: this influence going on? No.
- 21:47Speaker 1: How's that going to change things? Yeah. What's that going
- 21:52Speaker 1: to do?
- 21:55Speaker 2: Just work it out.
- 21:56Speaker 6: Like figure it, figure it out. I am not even.
- 21:59Speaker 2: Figure out. Do you still love her?
- 22:02Speaker 6: Don't you still love her?
- 22:02Speaker 8: Don't you?
- 22:05Speaker 6: I mean, you always have some form of love for,
- 22:08Speaker 6: you know, people that you've loved before.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Wrong answer.
- 22:11Speaker 10: Oh, my gosh.
- 22:12Speaker 3: Wrong answer, Justin.
- 22:13Speaker 10: Bad, bad, very bad.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Shouldn't be in this marriage with Katie. We are going
- 22:17Speaker 1: to let you both go. Katie, I'm sorry that your
- 22:20Speaker 1: hunch was correct, but I think you have a real
- 22:23Speaker 1: clear idea of what's happening here. And, Justin, I believe
- 22:25Speaker 1: you are lost.
- 22:26Speaker 6: I think you are lost, okay? I am simply talking
- 22:29Speaker 6: to someone. I can't believe this.
- 22:30Speaker 1: You're going to have to believe it. Good luck to
- 22:34Speaker 1: both of you. I should not be in that marriage.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Ryan's Roses, Kiss FM. On air with Ryan Seacrest. All right,
- 22:46Speaker 1: 102.7 Kiss FM. I'm about to pay another bill. That
- 22:49Speaker 1: Dominic Fike song, I like that. Right? Ronnie is in
- 22:52Speaker 1: Chatsworth right now.
- 22:54Speaker 2: Really?
- 22:54Speaker 1: Ronnie, good morning. Good morning. So you did make it.
- 22:58Speaker 1: I know you were on this slow roll this morning,
- 23:01Speaker 1: which is fine. You're not a morning person. I just
- 23:04Speaker 1: discovered that, I think, now after sending you out early
- 23:07Speaker 1: mornings for so many weeks. So thank you for your commitment.
- 23:10Speaker 1: I know.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:11Speaker 8: My mom has been having to wake me up, but
- 23:13Speaker 8: it's okay. It's like, you know, no stress off her back.
- 23:16Speaker 1: But you didn't break a sweat. You didn't say, hey, listen,
- 23:19Speaker 1: I'm not a morning person. You just went for it.
- 23:20Speaker 1: You grinned and you bared it.
- 23:23Speaker 13: Yes.
- 23:23Speaker 8: I am a team player, if anything.
- 23:25Speaker 1: All right. Well, who you have with you?
- 23:28Speaker 8: Okay. I just ran up on someone right now. Hi.
- 23:33Speaker 8: What is your name? Sorry.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Paulina. Okay.
- 23:35Speaker 8: I'm here with Paulina. I just asked her. She wants
- 23:37Speaker 8: some free gas.
- 23:38Speaker 2: So here she goes.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Hello, Paulina. It's Ryan Seacrest on kiss. How are you?
- 23:44Speaker 2: Hi, how are you doing?
- 23:47Speaker 1: I'm good. What are you up to this morning? Paulina?
- 23:50Speaker 2: I'm actually pumping some gas for my boss.
- 23:53Speaker 1: What kind of car?
- 23:54Speaker 12: It's a Lexus.
- 23:56Speaker 1: So that car you're filling up isn't even your own car?
- 24:00Speaker 8: No, ma'am. No, sir.
- 24:01Speaker 6: Sorry.
- 24:02Speaker 1: How do you want to play this, though? Because, all right,
- 24:04Speaker 1: here's what we're doing. So the idea is gas prices
- 24:07Speaker 1: are crazy. The commute is long. It's a real headache.
- 24:10Speaker 1: We're trying to alleviate stress. So we're buying free tanks
- 24:13Speaker 1: of gas at random gas stations. Chatsworth happens to be
- 24:16Speaker 1: the location this morning. Ronnie, who's not a morning person,
- 24:20Speaker 1: decided he wanted to take on this role of doing
- 24:22Speaker 1: the free gas. He's been doing a great job. Yes.
- 24:25Speaker 2: I literally want to record myself.
- 24:26Speaker 9: Okay.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Okay. Awesome. He's been doing a great job.
- 24:32Speaker 2: I mean, we can pump my boss's gas or we
- 24:35Speaker 2: can double it and give it to the next person,
- 24:36Speaker 2: either or, you know?
- 24:37Speaker 1: Well, that's the question. Do you want us to take
- 24:40Speaker 1: care of your boss's gas?
- 24:42Speaker 13: Yes, it's for her.
- 24:43Speaker 1: Oh, then go in there and get yourself.
- 24:44Speaker 3: Some snacks inside the store.
- 24:46Speaker 13: Offset it.
- 24:50Speaker 7: Are you sure?
- 24:51Speaker 1: I mean.
- 24:52Speaker 13: No, no.
- 24:53Speaker 11: What's he saying is still use your boss's credit card
- 24:56Speaker 11: for the gas and then use Ronnie's card to get
- 24:58Speaker 11: yourself some snacks.
- 24:59Speaker 12: No, I was actually saying use your boss's card to
- 25:01Speaker 12: go in and get whatever $ 80.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Worth of snacks.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Use my boss's card to go get snacks?
- 25:06Speaker 1: No. That's bad advice. Use your boss's card to fill
- 25:09Speaker 1: up the tank and then Ronnie should give you a
- 25:11Speaker 1: gift certificate for your own tank.
- 25:12Speaker 2: Yes.
- 25:14Speaker 8: I have an Acura and I pump Chevron too, so
- 25:16Speaker 8: that'd be awesome if you guys can give me a
- 25:17Speaker 8: gift certificate.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Let's do that. Tell that guy right there, Ronnie, that
- 25:20Speaker 1: we said do that.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Ronnie said, he said, give me a gift certificate.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Okay.
- 25:25Speaker 6: Okay.
- 25:25Speaker 13: Period. Thank you guys so, so much.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Thank you very much for breaking it down with us.
- 25:30Speaker 1: We got there.
- 25:32Speaker 7: Awesome.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 25:33Speaker 8: Bye.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Okay.
- 25:34Speaker 4: Paulina.
- 25:34Speaker 13: Bye.
- 25:35Speaker 2: I'm all sweaty.
- 25:36Speaker 8: Oh, you're okay.
- 25:37Speaker 7: Hello.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Yeah. Did you hear all that?
- 25:40Speaker 8: I heard all that. So I'm a, well, we'll have
- 25:42Speaker 8: you guys figure out how to get the gift certificate.
- 25:45Speaker 1: And then I'll just go inside. Go inside and they'll
- 25:48Speaker 1: have them.
- 25:49Speaker 8: I guess I could do that.
- 25:50Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 25:50Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 25:51Speaker 1: No, this is you. You go figure it out. We
- 25:56Speaker 1: got stuff to do.
- 25:58Speaker 8: I don't know how to do that, but I will
- 26:00Speaker 8: figure it out.
- 26:00Speaker 3: You just go in there and say, I want a
- 26:01Speaker 3: gift card for X amount of money.
- 26:03Speaker 1: And then give her the gift card.
- 26:04Speaker 10: Probably like a hundred bucks.
- 26:06Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 26:07Speaker 3: Make it cute.
- 26:08Speaker 1: Don't you have the credit card?
- 26:10Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 26:11Speaker 1: Just use it inside.
- 26:12Speaker 3: Did you go out last night, Ronnie?
- 26:15Speaker 1: Have you ever gotten gas?
- 26:16Speaker 8: Personally, an adult, I don't know how to do this stuff.
- 26:19Speaker 11: Respectfully, his mom calls to wake him up in the morning.
- 26:22Speaker 12: Stop saying respectfully for everything.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Ronnie, you will get there. Don't worry. We are counting
- 26:28Speaker 1: on you.
- 26:28Speaker 3: With respect.
- 26:30Speaker 8: Let me get my girl a gift card.
- 26:31Speaker 3: You can do it. We believe in you. And fill
- 26:34Speaker 3: up her boss's car, too.
- 26:37Speaker 1: No.
- 26:37Speaker 2: No.
- 26:37Speaker 1: That wasn't part of the deal.
- 26:39Speaker 2: Oh, sorry.
- 26:40Speaker 1: That's not. Oh, my gosh. Sorry, Ronnie. I understand. Bye-bye.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Bye-bye.
- 26:45Speaker 6: Bye, you guys.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Bye-bye. My bad. All right. Let's move on. I love Paulina.
- 26:52Speaker 1: We got it done for her. We're paying your bill
- 26:54Speaker 1: in the San Gabriel Valley next. 1 at 2.7, KISS
- 26:57Speaker 1: FM in Los Angeles. Hi, Monday. How are you facing
- 27:01Speaker 1: your Monday? Head on, I hope. September 14th. And a
- 27:05Speaker 1: busy weekend, certainly for us here. Chargers game, you went.
- 27:11Speaker 1: It wasn't exactly how you wanted it to turn out.
- 27:14Speaker 3: No, I know.
- 27:15Speaker 1: They lost. Yeah, 26-14. But you went down. You know
- 27:17Speaker 1: what I love about Cisney? She is a full-blown fan.
- 27:21Speaker 1: She gets down there. She tailgates. She's early. Then she
- 27:25Speaker 1: gets to the game. So what happened? I mean, if
- 27:27Speaker 1: you're almost a pro.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Player at this point you've been in so many games
- 27:34Speaker 1: what happened what went wrong because i think i have
- 27:36Speaker 1: a hunch i.
- 27:37Speaker 3: Don't know why did they lose our defense.
- 27:42Speaker 1: And so when something like that happens, I remember when
- 27:45Speaker 1: I was, I think they played sloppy. I think that's
- 27:47Speaker 1: the right word, right? A little sloppy.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:49Speaker 12: We just couldn't, we would get so close and then
- 27:51Speaker 12: I don't want to blame it on Herbert, but yeah,
- 27:54Speaker 12: we just, we couldn't.
- 27:54Speaker 1: You can't blame it on one player. It's a team effort.
- 27:57Speaker 3: Cannot. McConkie did incredible.
- 28:00Speaker 12: He, he made a few touchdowns and he was really
- 28:03Speaker 12: the key player, but then that's on Herbert too.
- 28:05Speaker 3: So that means Herbert's passing great to him.
- 28:07Speaker 1: So here's the thing, just to generalize, when we are
- 28:10Speaker 1: sloppy here, or anybody is sloppy or plays a little
- 28:13Speaker 1: sloppy in whatever they do, it's a sign of fatigue
- 28:17Speaker 1: and not being totally conditioned. So I wonder, do they
- 28:21Speaker 1: go back and do a bunch of conditioning drills when
- 28:24Speaker 1: they get back to practice so that they don't have
- 28:27Speaker 1: the mistakes that they had? I don't know. Maybe.
- 28:30Speaker 12: The Rams were kind of sloppy, too, in Australia when
- 28:35Speaker 12: they played on, was it Thursday night?
- 28:37Speaker 1: But it's the beginning of the season. I mean, you've
- 28:38Speaker 1: got to work out the kinks, you know? You've got
- 28:40Speaker 1: to get your footing right. Absolutely. We have a star
- 28:43Speaker 1: here in the back room. I don't know if you
- 28:44Speaker 1: recognize this person, but we have a very famous face
- 28:48Speaker 1: from the weekend. Our intern Bella was on the jumbo
- 28:52Speaker 1: screen at the Trojan game. Congratulations. Thank you.
- 28:55Speaker 5: I was so excited. I was like, it's my Pamela
- 28:57Speaker 5: Anderson moment.
- 28:59Speaker 3: That's so funny.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Did you know when you were on the first second
- 29:04Speaker 1: or were you like the person that discovers it while
- 29:06Speaker 1: you're on the screen?
- 29:07Speaker 9: No, I discovered it while I was on the screen
- 29:09Speaker 9: and I was the only one that noticed. And then
- 29:11Speaker 9: I got too excited. So I didn't record it.
- 29:14Speaker 1: What did you do?
- 29:15Speaker 5: I was just jumping up and down.
- 29:18Speaker 1: It wasn't the kiss cam. It was just the excited cam, right?
- 29:20Speaker 8: Oh my God, no.
- 29:21Speaker 9: But I've been on the kiss cam before and I
- 29:23Speaker 9: had to reject someone. And it was the game that
- 29:25Speaker 9: LeBron James was at.
- 29:27Speaker 1: You mean somebody wanted to kiss you, you didn't know?
- 29:29Speaker 1: Or somebody that you were with.
- 29:31Speaker 5: Somebody I was with. It was my guy friend and
- 29:33Speaker 5: he had a crush on me.
- 29:34Speaker 3: It was so awkward.
- 29:35Speaker 5: They like kept it on us for like two minutes.
- 29:39Speaker 3: It was so bad.
- 29:40Speaker 1: I just want to hone in on the Pam Anderson
- 29:44Speaker 1: reference in case anybody didn't get it like me.
- 29:46Speaker 10: Yeah, I didn't get it either.
- 29:48Speaker 1: So she was discovered back in the 80s when she
- 29:51Speaker 1: appeared on a stadium jumbotron. But what I love about
- 29:55Speaker 1: what just happened is that I didn't get it. You
- 29:57Speaker 1: didn't get it. But we didn't want to ask the
- 29:59Speaker 1: question because we felt like we were dumb by not knowing.
- 30:02Speaker 3: I was just thinking, like, did you, like, pretend to
- 30:04Speaker 3: run on the beach?
- 30:04Speaker 1: So none of us knew what she was talking about.
- 30:06Speaker 1: None of us asked the question.
- 30:08Speaker 10: Anything deep to it.
- 30:09Speaker 11: I thought she was just like, I like Pamela Anderson
- 30:12Speaker 11: and I had like.
- 30:14Speaker 1: It just goes to show you, I'm afraid to ask
- 30:15Speaker 1: certain questions where I think the obvious answer is obvious.
- 30:19Speaker 1: And so I didn't, but that's what it is. So
- 30:22Speaker 1: the final score, Bella. Oh, um, you don't even know.
- 30:27Speaker 5: It was 49.
- 30:30Speaker 1: The children's one.
- 30:33Speaker 3: Yes, we did.
- 30:33Speaker 2: Nice.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Gaga had a baby over the weekend she did that's
- 30:37Speaker 1: exciting yeah.
- 30:39Speaker 3: That's all the info we have.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Yeah my note says no name no sex uh it's
- 30:45Speaker 1: been public etc.
- 30:46Speaker 11: Yet i also think that there's a theory that they
- 30:49Speaker 11: just she didn't have it over the weekend but that
- 30:51Speaker 11: we found out about.
- 30:52Speaker 1: It over the weekend oh god so the news broke
- 30:55Speaker 1: over yeah the weekend And Tanya brought her push cart
- 30:58Speaker 1: to the farmer's market. That's where, so she, instead of
- 31:01Speaker 1: having a purse or a bag these days, she's got
- 31:03Speaker 1: the basket you wheel around at the farmer's market to
- 31:06Speaker 1: buy berries. And she puts all of her stuff in there.
- 31:07Speaker 1: We can see everything she's got. And we just said,
- 31:10Speaker 1: take it to the right place, the market. And you did.
- 31:13Speaker 11: I took it to the farmer's market. It thrived at.
- 31:15Speaker 3: The farmer's market.
- 31:16Speaker 1: That's where it belongs. Sure, it's where it belongs. Not
- 31:18Speaker 1: here where we can see all your belongings.
- 31:19Speaker 10: But the farmer's market was very toasty yesterday.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Why do you have cream of mushroom soup in a
- 31:25Speaker 1: can in there? Is it for the evacuation in case
- 31:28Speaker 1: it happens?
- 31:29Speaker 9: Maybe.
- 31:29Speaker 3: Perhaps.
- 31:30Speaker 1: I think I see canned goods in there. Anyway. All right.
- 31:33Speaker 1: Welcome back. Seacrest with you. We're rolling on next Disneyland tickets.
- 31:37Speaker 1: You're on KISS. KISS FM. Good morning. We are back
- 31:41Speaker 1: at it this week.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Seacrest.
- 31:42Speaker 1: This is Netanya in the back room. So we keep
- 31:45Speaker 1: hearing these stories and you see the video of Southern
- 31:48Speaker 1: California beaches disappearing. And it's forced the cancellation of that
- 31:52Speaker 1: big music festival we were kind of excited about in
- 31:55Speaker 1: Santa Monica.
- 31:56Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 31:57Speaker 12: The Ocean Way Festival that was supposed to happen in
- 31:59Speaker 12: two weeks with the Killers, Olivia Dean and whatnot.
- 32:01Speaker 4: They pulled the plug on that because there's no beach.
- 32:04Speaker 4: And they need a lot of beach for the staging
- 32:06Speaker 4: and all this setup. So what is happening in the night?
- 32:10Speaker 4: I took a deep dive to see, like, is there
- 32:13Speaker 4: a year? coming up, not immediately, but at some point
- 32:17Speaker 4: in the relatively near future where the beaches just might
- 32:20Speaker 4: be gone in some places.
- 32:22Speaker 3: I don't know. It's kind of scary to think about.
- 32:24Speaker 12: But yes, the powerful waves from Hurricane Marie have basically
- 32:26Speaker 12: eaten away huge sections of so many of these beaches.
- 32:29Speaker 12: And it's not just Santa Monica. It's Laguna Beach has
- 32:33Speaker 12: declared an emergency. Long Beach had homes evacuated. Malibu, as
- 32:37Speaker 12: we know, with the sinkhole in front of Nicolas Cage's driveway.
- 32:40Speaker 3: And it's continuing to happen.
- 32:42Speaker 12: It's going to probably continue to happen throughout the year
- 32:44Speaker 12: because it's the Nel Nino year.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Right.
- 32:47Speaker 1: So if you look to the future from the research
- 32:50Speaker 1: that I did, more erosion will occur over the years.
- 32:54Speaker 1: In 2050, some of those beaches will be extremely narrow.
- 32:59Speaker 1: And then who's going to be around 2100? Is anybody
- 33:01Speaker 1: going to be here then? 2100 alive here? All of us. Okay,
- 33:08Speaker 1: probably not. Bella, will you live to 2100?
- 33:11Speaker 5: I'm still trying to do the math in my brain.
- 33:12Speaker 3: Maybe my kids.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Well, maybe you will. So they say in 2100, 31%
- 33:18Speaker 1: to 67% of some of the beaches in Southern California
- 33:24Speaker 1: could be gone.
- 33:25Speaker 3: It's so weird.
- 33:26Speaker 1: But when you fly over, you know when you leave
- 33:30Speaker 1: LAX and you fly over, do you see how thin
- 33:32Speaker 1: some of those beaches are? Yeah. It doesn't look like
- 33:34Speaker 1: there's much beach there anyway yet at all.
- 33:37Speaker 12: Some of these homes, they just bump up right to
- 33:40Speaker 12: like the oceans crashing onto your patio.
- 33:42Speaker 1: On the stilts. Uh-huh. Bella, good news. You will be around.
- 33:46Speaker 1: You'll be 95.
- 33:48Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 33:50Speaker 5: I don't think I want to be alive.
- 33:51Speaker 1: No, you definitely do. Because then you can report up
- 33:54Speaker 1: to heaven where we are to tell us about the beaches.
- 33:56Speaker 3: It's going to be great.
- 33:57Speaker 5: I'll have a seance.
- 33:58Speaker 1: On Air with Ryan Seacrest. All right, it's Kiss FM.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Thanks for being here. Tanya with a trending report this hour.
- 34:06Speaker 2: Yep.
- 34:07Speaker 11: So Sydney Sweeney is in hot water again over an
- 34:11Speaker 11: ad for a sports betting app. So she's not just
- 34:14Speaker 11: the face of this campaign either. She's actually an equity
- 34:17Speaker 11: partner in the company. But this ad shows that she's
- 34:21Speaker 11: pretty much naked with footballs, basketballs, hockey gear, strategically covering
- 34:25Speaker 11: her while she repeats the word sports over and over
- 34:29Speaker 11: and over again throughout the ad. Women in the sports
- 34:32Speaker 11: industry are saying that it's setting them back, saying that
- 34:34Speaker 11: this is exactly why women in sports aren't taken seriously.
- 34:38Speaker 11: There's now, I've just seen tons and tons, like my
- 34:41Speaker 11: algorithm is flooded with women athletes saying, Sydney Sweeney, this
- 34:45Speaker 11: is what women in sports looks like. And it's like
- 34:47Speaker 11: them like doing this crazy, you know, like jumping over those.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Performance. Hurdles. They're showing performance, right?
- 34:54Speaker 11: And playing, you know, beach volleyball and, Sydney is defending it,
- 34:58Speaker 11: saying that the whole idea was about confidence, humor and
- 35:01Speaker 11: a playful edge and wanting to cut through the noise.
- 35:04Speaker 11: And she actually posted a lot of things on her
- 35:08Speaker 11: Instagram story over the weekend, like Serena Williams and Ronda
- 35:11Speaker 11: Rousey kind of posing in like provocative photos to just
- 35:14Speaker 11: kind of say she's not the first person to do this.
- 35:15Speaker 11: And like women in sports have also done this. And
- 35:19Speaker 11: I'm all about women doing what they want with their bodies.
- 35:21Speaker 11: But I do feel like this is a trigger for
- 35:22Speaker 11: women in sports because I do think in sports in particular,
- 35:27Speaker 11: there is, there is this narrative where they feel like
- 35:29Speaker 11: they have to, you know, work harder to be taken
- 35:32Speaker 11: seriously and they don't want to be sexualized. And so
- 35:35Speaker 11: I feel like it's like, it's hitting this, this string
- 35:38Speaker 11: with women athletes that I think is really rubbing them
- 35:40Speaker 11: the wrong way. Whereas like Sydney, she's an equity owner
- 35:44Speaker 11: in this company. So like this ad, obviously it's, it's
- 35:47Speaker 11: creating quite the buzz.
- 35:48Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 35:49Speaker 12: Well, I think we're all talking about it, and it
- 35:54Speaker 12: created all the noise. Yeah, because I thought it was
- 35:58Speaker 12: really creative, and I watched the entire thing from start
- 36:02Speaker 12: to finish, and I was entertained the entire time, and
- 36:04Speaker 12: I was like, what is this?
- 36:05Speaker 3: Oh, it's a sporting app.
- 36:06Speaker 1: But you're right.
- 36:07Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 36:08Speaker 1: You're right, Tanya. I mean, women have fought for decades
- 36:12Speaker 1: to be known for performance, not appearance. And so that
- 36:15Speaker 1: is very true. But this is not like an NFL ad.
- 36:18Speaker 1: This is not a sports league ad. Right. This is
- 36:21Speaker 1: for betting.
- 36:21Speaker 2: Right.
- 36:22Speaker 1: And I'm guessing they're targeting guys that are online betting.
- 36:26Speaker 8: Yep.
- 36:26Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 36:27Speaker 1: And she owns part of the company. So she's going
- 36:29Speaker 1: to do whatever she thinks her strengths are to make
- 36:32Speaker 1: the money.
- 36:33Speaker 3: I'm not mad at her. I was actually really impressed
- 36:35Speaker 3: with the ad.
- 36:35Speaker 1: She looks fantastic.
- 36:37Speaker 11: I'm not mad at her either because I do think
- 36:39Speaker 11: you're right.
- 36:39Speaker 3: Like it's working.
- 36:40Speaker 10: It's creating all this noise.
- 36:41Speaker 11: But then I do feel for the female athletes because
- 36:43Speaker 11: I just feel like they and not even just female
- 36:47Speaker 11: athletes like women in sports, people who are doing sports
- 36:49Speaker 11: reporting and, you know, take the time to really kind
- 36:52Speaker 11: of be wanting to.
- 36:54Speaker 1: But she's not doing a sport. She's doing a. like
- 36:56Speaker 1: a gambling site. However, I will say, and Cicely, maybe
- 37:00Speaker 1: you are aligned. If I had the male version of
- 37:03Speaker 1: a body like that, right. You would see it everywhere.
- 37:07Speaker 1: I would put it everywhere.
- 37:08Speaker 3: A hundred percent.
- 37:09Speaker 1: It would be on the kiss FM pays your bills
- 37:11Speaker 1: billboards on the one 10. Yeah.
- 37:13Speaker 3: And she does do that.
- 37:14Speaker 11: She's done several other ads where she's in like lingerie
- 37:16Speaker 11: and it's for like lingerie and things like that, which
- 37:19Speaker 11: I I'm so with you on that.
- 37:20Speaker 3: So I, I feel like.
- 37:21Speaker 1: The, the, She's still with Scooter Braun.
- 37:24Speaker 3: Let's just cut to that.
- 37:26Speaker 1: They're still together. She and Scooter Braun.
- 37:27Speaker 11: Just her birthday over the weekend. There's the same birthday
- 37:30Speaker 11: as Scooter Braun's mom.
- 37:32Speaker 1: I heard they're madly in love.
- 37:33Speaker 3: How crazy is that?
- 37:35Speaker 1: It's so crazy, but it must be a sign.
- 37:37Speaker 3: $ 1, 000.
- 37:37Speaker 1: Antelope Valley to pay your bills. It's Kiss FM, and
- 37:42Speaker 1: that's going to do it for us. Thanks for riding along.
- 37:44Speaker 1: If you missed Ryan's Roses or anything this morning, it's
- 37:47Speaker 1: up on a podcast midday on air with Ryan Seabrest. Tomorrow,
- 37:51Speaker 1: we're back with a second date update, more Disneyland tickets. And, Sisney,
- 37:54Speaker 1: what you got?
- 37:54Speaker 3: Ooh, we're just going to play the hits. I got
- 37:56Speaker 3: your one-minute tea coming.
- 37:57Speaker 1: Up at 1010. Sisney takes you one more hour.
- 38:01Speaker 8: Good luck.
- 38:02Speaker 1: Get through your Monday, all right? Take good care. It's 12.77.
- 38:06Speaker 1: Thanks for listening to On Air with Ryan Seacrest. Make
- 38:09Speaker 1: sure to subscribe, and we'll talk to you again tomorrow.
