- 0:00Speaker 1: Now the guardian Angel of Top Radio is here. Curtis
- 0:05Speaker 1: Leewah guest host the Mark Simone Show on seven ten.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Woar well, well this is it last time around that
- 0:18Speaker 2: I'll be substituting here for Mark Simon.
- 0:21Speaker 3: He's back on Monday the fifth. But every time I
- 0:25Speaker 3: come here, I meet alumni from where I used to
- 0:28Speaker 3: be WABC. Is he the board up here crash so
- 0:33Speaker 3: many others who fled like refugees from a station that
- 0:39Speaker 3: has become synonymous now with always blaming Curtis for Zorroonmandami
- 0:45Speaker 3: being the mayor and always bashing Curtis. But anyway, so
- 0:49Speaker 3: is he patronizes me this morning? Oh don't don't do
- 0:54Speaker 3: that to me, please, A very busy New Year's Eve,
- 0:59Speaker 3: very busy New Year's dam. I'm going to get into
- 1:01Speaker 3: it momentarily, by the way, you want to make a
- 1:05Speaker 3: New Year's what a promise elected officials at the MTA
- 1:12Speaker 3: money taking agency, the most inept of the many state
- 1:17Speaker 3: agencies in New York. How about cleaning the subway cars,
- 1:23Speaker 3: the number two, three, and number one that are so
- 1:26Speaker 3: thick with flotsam and jetsam dirt that it was shameful
- 1:34Speaker 3: that I had to explain to tourists who were here
- 1:36Speaker 3: in New York City why we can't clean our subway cars.
- 1:40Speaker 3: I mean filthy dirty. Oh no, but you know our
- 1:44Speaker 3: business here is just to raise the fair and take
- 1:47Speaker 3: more money and provide no service. That's number one, number
- 1:52Speaker 3: two our New Year's resolution from the Sliwa family, we
- 1:57Speaker 3: posted it. You look at all my social network and
- 2:00Speaker 3: just go to act Curtis Lee, it's all there. And
- 2:04Speaker 3: Nancy and I said we want for New Years to
- 2:10Speaker 3: be a time we're all stray and shelter animals will
- 2:15Speaker 3: have a loving home. And there were people who attacked
- 2:19Speaker 3: us for that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, haters, man, they hate
- 2:23Speaker 3: animals again. Mahatma Gandhi said, a society that does not
- 2:29Speaker 3: take care of its animals does not take care of
- 2:31Speaker 3: its people. How many homeless and emotionally disturbed persons that
- 2:35Speaker 3: I see today on the way to the studios of
- 2:37Speaker 3: wo or more that I could count on my fingers
- 2:40Speaker 3: and toes. Let that be said, And then the hawk
- 2:46Speaker 3: is talking out there. It's cold. I want to give
- 2:50Speaker 3: a shout out to the Guardian Angels because they were
- 2:53Speaker 3: at Coney Island yesterday for the annual polar Bear plunge.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Thousands on the beach who went running in to the surf,
- 3:04Speaker 3: some of them suffering from exposure. But hey, they were
- 3:09Speaker 3: out there. I gotta tell you that they were not
- 3:14Speaker 3: talking politics. They were saying, the hawk is talking. It
- 3:19Speaker 3: is cold out here, and yet they made the annual plunge. Meantime,
- 3:27Speaker 3: we might as well play from all the sad sack
- 3:31Speaker 3: reports of the inauguration yesterday at City Hall of Zorhan.
- 3:37Speaker 3: You know, ri Em, it's the end of the world
- 3:39Speaker 3: as we know it. Oh, it's over, My god. How
- 3:45Speaker 3: many months of a campaign did we have where Zorhan
- 3:48Speaker 3: was out there every day, every day? Right, He whopped
- 3:54Speaker 3: Cuomo in the primary, he beat me in Cuomo in
- 3:57Speaker 3: the general election. And yet people were shocked because all
- 4:03Speaker 3: of a sudden he gave a speech after he took
- 4:07Speaker 3: the oath on a Quran. Oh that's it, at the
- 4:11Speaker 3: end of the world. We'll get into that momentarily. Some
- 4:15Speaker 3: of my friends were like, freaking out, a Koran. You
- 4:18Speaker 3: know what that means, Curtis, Well, what does that mean?
- 4:20Speaker 3: Tell me, Well, let's get to what he actually said.
- 4:27Speaker 3: He said, I was elected as a democratic socialist and
- 4:31Speaker 3: I will govern as a democratic socialist. Shocking right. He
- 4:35Speaker 3: said that every step of the way, all through the campaign,
- 4:38Speaker 3: were you not listening? Were you not listening? Well, let's
- 4:44Speaker 3: face it, most New Yorkers have no idea what a
- 4:47Speaker 3: communist is a socialist. If I took one hundred people
- 4:50Speaker 3: put them up along the wall, they have no idea.
- 4:53Speaker 3: A socialist is not a communist. Okay, It's almost like
- 4:56Speaker 3: I have to take everybody to school. And then naturally
- 5:01Speaker 3: when Bernie the out the Coca Sanders graduate of Madison
- 5:06Speaker 3: High School not far away sitting there, shiver me, Timbers,
- 5:10Speaker 3: was Chuck E Chees, Schumer, schmuck, the Putts who got
- 5:14Speaker 3: up halfway and left. He went to Madison High School.
- 5:18Speaker 3: I can run down a whole litany of people went
- 5:20Speaker 3: to Madison High School. What Bernie Brooklyn boy went to
- 5:23Speaker 3: Brooklyn College. You know the rest of the story. So
- 5:26Speaker 3: he swears him in on the frigid steps of city Hall,
- 5:30Speaker 3: and then the crowd start screaming tax, the ridge tax,
- 5:33Speaker 3: the ridge tax, the ridge. Isn't that what Zaran said
- 5:38Speaker 3: all dren the campaign and said, he said, I don't
- 5:41Speaker 3: even believe there should be billionaires. Are you forgetting that?
- 5:48Speaker 3: People elected this guy on three issues, freeze the rent
- 5:54Speaker 3: city buses, for free universal childcare, all right, and he
- 5:58Speaker 3: engine all of them yesterday. Now. Meantime, while everybody was
- 6:04Speaker 3: determining that this is it, it's over, people were like
- 6:09Speaker 3: getting in touch with me. And see, wait a second,
- 6:12Speaker 3: I'm reading the New York Post. Here it says that
- 6:15Speaker 3: you made a surprise appearance at Mandami's inaugural block party.
- 6:20Speaker 3: That's right, because I wasn't invited with the elites at
- 6:22Speaker 3: city Hall. I certainly wasn't invited like Eric Adams, who
- 6:28Speaker 3: one moment people may boom me. I don't know if
- 6:32Speaker 3: they want to be there. Oh god, what a crook.
- 6:35Speaker 3: The best thing about the dropping of the ball, I mean,
- 6:39Speaker 3: the absolute best thing was the way Andy Cohen went
- 6:45Speaker 3: off on him with Anderson there Anderson Cooper and just said,
- 6:52Speaker 3: get out of here, you cook, your corrupt, You're horrible.
- 6:55Speaker 3: I mean, he just went off. I thought we could
- 6:59Speaker 3: revive a game, you know, instead of the Wheel of
- 7:02Speaker 3: Fortune you or by merv Griffin with Pat Sajack and
- 7:07Speaker 3: Vana White. I think came about in seventy five, although
- 7:09Speaker 3: I think the first host, correct me if I'm wrong,
- 7:11Speaker 3: was Chuck woolry. I think could be wrong. I didn't
- 7:16Speaker 3: ask for you, is he man? Just stop patronizing me,
- 7:19Speaker 3: do me a favor? Huh? That really bothers me. And
- 7:23Speaker 3: we could call it the wheel of corruption. City Hall
- 7:26Speaker 3: for sale under Eric Adams as he left twenty nine
- 7:32Speaker 3: indictments right either members of his administration, top aids, allies, donors,
- 7:40Speaker 3: including himself, and he's in moaning and going on and
- 7:45Speaker 3: do nothing wrong. Well, you know, I don't generally like
- 7:48Speaker 3: Andy Cohen. Obviously he had been bending his elbow, he
- 7:54Speaker 3: was half in the bag. But I give him the applause.
- 7:57Speaker 3: Thank god. That is the best thing getting rid of
- 8:01Speaker 3: the crook Eric Adams. And by the way, I warned
- 8:05Speaker 3: everybody when I ran against him at twenty twenty one,
- 8:08Speaker 3: is he You were there, You remember at the time
- 8:10Speaker 3: I said, this guy's a crook and this guy is
- 8:15Speaker 3: corrupt and we will have chaos. Was that wrong? They
- 8:20Speaker 3: had a survey on his way out. It said zero
- 8:23Speaker 3: percent of all those surveyed said he did nothing good.
- 8:28Speaker 3: I would give him, on one credit, the best night
- 8:33Speaker 3: light mayor we've ever had since Jimmy Walker, because that's
- 8:37Speaker 3: all he would do is go to a nearby club
- 8:39Speaker 3: to the break of dawn. It didn't matter what burrow
- 8:42Speaker 3: until four in the morning. Him and Jimmy Walker had that.
- 8:45Speaker 3: By the way, if you're watching any movies, you watch
- 8:49Speaker 3: the Bob Hope movie about the other corrupt mayor Jimmy Walker.
- 8:52Speaker 3: Really good performance. And that's the white version of this
- 8:57Speaker 3: swaggerman with no plan Eric Adams. Ooofa. That made me
- 9:02Speaker 3: feel good. But then all of these people say, how
- 9:06Speaker 3: come you went? How come you stood in line with
- 9:09Speaker 3: all the Zorinistas. Because I don't just base what I
- 9:13Speaker 3: say on what I hear in the news or I
- 9:16Speaker 3: see on TV or I scrolled to. I like to
- 9:20Speaker 3: be there in person. And so I came out of
- 9:23Speaker 3: the subway and I was online with all the Zorinistas. Yea,
- 9:28Speaker 3: the people who elected Mandami Meyer, not the elites at
- 9:33Speaker 3: city Hall. And I waited my turn to get in
- 9:36Speaker 3: and watch. I was online at twelve. Didn't get into that.
- 9:41Speaker 3: What they called that, I guess they said it was
- 9:44Speaker 3: going to be a block party. There was no no
- 9:46Speaker 3: real party, poorly organized. I didn't get in till two thirty,
- 9:50Speaker 3: that's how long the lines were. And oh boy, people
- 9:54Speaker 3: were saying, how come. All these Zorinistas were hide fiving
- 9:57Speaker 3: you because they under stud I'm standing out there with
- 9:59Speaker 3: all them, you know, like a real person, not up
- 10:05Speaker 3: in the suites in the streets like I always am,
- 10:07Speaker 3: subways in streets and having a lot of conversations all
- 10:10Speaker 3: city and State. Was that they can believe it, big
- 10:14Speaker 3: article on the Wall Street Journal, Q and A with me.
- 10:17Speaker 3: You know at the end of the year, if you
- 10:19Speaker 3: get a chance, you gotta read these really good But
- 10:23Speaker 3: the main thing is I was saying to h those
- 10:27Speaker 3: who hates or On and a lot of my fellow
- 10:30Speaker 3: Republicans who are attacking. In fact, this was some of
- 10:34Speaker 3: the really crazy stuff Curtis to disease are On and
- 10:39Speaker 3: his wife rom the night before. You saw how they
- 10:42Speaker 3: went down into that subway that's underneath City Hall, the
- 10:45Speaker 3: first subway ever created in a vast subway system. That
- 10:49Speaker 3: is really an architect who will wonder he's got the
- 10:52Speaker 3: terror courtA Tiles brash shand of Lee is to say,
- 10:56Speaker 3: distinctly European appearance. I actually him credit. Remember the other
- 11:01Speaker 3: day I said, Wow, if I had been lucky enough
- 11:04Speaker 3: to been elected mayor, I would have never thought of that. Good, good, idea.
- 11:09Speaker 3: So that's where he had his original swearing in. Once
- 11:11Speaker 3: the ball dropped in Times Square. Do you know what's
- 11:14Speaker 3: happened since people come up to me and they say, oh, man,
- 11:18Speaker 3: you know he got sworn in on the Koran. I said, yeah,
- 11:22Speaker 3: he's a Muslim. Did you you find that surprising? He
- 11:25Speaker 3: said that every day of the way. I think he
- 11:29Speaker 3: visited every mosque in the five boroughs. Surprise, surprise. Yeah.
- 11:34Speaker 3: But by him being sworn in down in that subway tunnel,
- 11:38Speaker 3: it was a secret message to Hamas that I got
- 11:43Speaker 3: your back, that I support you. I said, you really
- 11:46Speaker 3: believe that crap? Oh yeah, yeah, it's all subliminal. It's messaging.
- 11:51Speaker 3: I said's just a great location, a great venue. Oh no, no,
- 11:55Speaker 3: you don't. You don't understand chritis. I said, well, let
- 11:58Speaker 3: me get back to this whole like of being sworn
- 12:01Speaker 3: in on a Qur'an. I said, you realize that we've
- 12:05Speaker 3: had presidents who are not sworn in on a Bible.
- 12:09Speaker 3: In fact, they weren't sworn on any religious book. What
- 12:16Speaker 3: I remembered, you folks out there can correct me wrong
- 12:20Speaker 3: if I'm wrong, because you know I will admit when
- 12:23Speaker 3: I'm wrong. I will fess up when I mess up,
- 12:26Speaker 3: and feel free to do so, because that's really what
- 12:28Speaker 3: talk radio is. It's your turn to be heard. Eight
- 12:31Speaker 3: hundred three two one zero seven ten eight hundred three
- 12:35Speaker 3: two one zero seventy ten. If I remember from my
- 12:39Speaker 3: history lessons, Thomas Jefferson ever got sworn in as president
- 12:44Speaker 3: on a Bible. The guy who followed them, John Quincy Adams,
- 12:49Speaker 3: he believed separation of church in state. He got sworn
- 12:52Speaker 3: in on a book of laws. He refused to be
- 12:55Speaker 3: sworn in on a Bible. Franklin Pierce, another president of laws.
- 13:00Speaker 3: I'm not being sworn in on the Bible. And Calvin Coolidge,
- 13:05Speaker 3: one of our worst presidents, was a Puritan, and he said,
- 13:09Speaker 3: I'm not being sworn in on a Bible. Yeah. But
- 13:12Speaker 3: Curticiz's different. He was sworn in on a Koran. He's
- 13:18Speaker 3: a Muslim, and anybody voting for him not realize he
- 13:21Speaker 3: was a Musclim. Yeah, yeah, yeah, But Curtage, this is
- 13:28Speaker 3: not right. I said, excuse me, Do I not remember
- 13:33Speaker 3: a visit that Johann Mandami took to the White House?
- 13:36Speaker 3: You remember that visit? Right? Oh? Man? Now, Cami Mandamie,
- 13:40Speaker 3: I can't wait to take all the money from the city.
- 13:43Speaker 3: You can't be electing this guy, this communist, right, Remember
- 13:47Speaker 3: it wasn't Trump saying that like every day, and then
- 13:51Speaker 3: all of a sudden, I love fest. A love fest
- 13:55Speaker 3: was like Barney, I love you, you love me. Oh,
- 13:59Speaker 3: we're gonna be helping him. We agree on a lot
- 14:03Speaker 3: more than I thought. I think he'll do a great job.
- 14:07Speaker 3: I'd be comfortable living in New York City with Mondamie
- 14:10Speaker 3: is Maya who said that Donald Trump. Oh, they're the best,
- 14:17Speaker 3: the best. He's gonna be fine. Hey, Zoon, you wanna
- 14:22Speaker 3: call me a fascist, don't worry, call me a fascist.
- 14:26Speaker 3: We got played ladies and gentlemen. And so when I
- 14:30Speaker 3: turned to Maga people and Republicans, I say, you know,
- 14:33Speaker 3: the president is embracing By the way, did the President
- 14:35Speaker 3: put out a tweet on truth social condemning Joran Mondamie's
- 14:41Speaker 3: swearing in by burning the out the Coca Sanders with
- 14:44Speaker 3: AOC they did? He No, he's embraced the guy. Oh no, no, no,
- 14:52Speaker 3: But there's a strategy here, Curtis. You gotta understand that
- 14:57Speaker 3: he's gonna let Zoron let his guard down. He doesn't
- 15:02Speaker 3: really mean it. What do you mean he doesn't really
- 15:04Speaker 3: mean it. He said it before the world. Oh you'll
- 15:09Speaker 3: see Curtis, Yeah, yeah, yeah, you you you gets like
- 15:14Speaker 3: you keep believing that, all right, you keep believing that
- 15:20Speaker 3: the President said on November twenty first, in the White House,
- 15:25Speaker 3: with zor unerstanding right there, the better he does, the
- 15:29Speaker 3: happier I am. And by that, by the way, hours
- 15:33Speaker 3: before that, the House of Representatives had passed a resolution
- 15:39Speaker 3: denouncing the horrors of socialism. All the Republicans that you
- 15:43Speaker 3: hear from here at WOR and other stations, and eighty
- 15:46Speaker 3: six Democrats. So you figured that zarn MONDAMMI was gonna
- 15:53Speaker 3: catch a verbal beat down, and in fact it was
- 15:56Speaker 3: a love fest. So ladies and gentlemen, and don't get
- 16:00Speaker 3: on my case. This is what you do to respect
- 16:04Speaker 3: the process, the change of one party to another party,
- 16:10Speaker 3: one political ideology to another political ideology. That's what our
- 16:17Speaker 3: American democracy is about. So I didn't get invited to
- 16:22Speaker 3: the inauguration. I just showed up to the block party
- 16:27Speaker 3: so I could share some of my experiences with all
- 16:29Speaker 3: of you and see for myself. Because I challenge authority.
- 16:35Speaker 3: I don't care if it's Trump Zorhan, Democrats, business leaders,
- 16:40Speaker 3: cultural leaders. I don't just repeat and regurgitate whatever I
- 16:45Speaker 3: hear from the people I like. I challenge authority, and
- 16:50Speaker 3: there's nobody out there who's gonna give you a better
- 16:52Speaker 3: analysis of what took place yesterday in the freezing cold.
- 16:57Speaker 3: And by the way, really didn't matter because most of
- 17:00Speaker 3: the zoronista's young millennials gen zas. If they had been older,
- 17:07Speaker 3: oh boy, it would have been ice cube. Hell. Our
- 17:12Speaker 3: numbers one eight hundred and three to one zero seventy ten.
- 17:16Speaker 3: That's one eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 17:18Speaker 3: While online, I was alerting all these Zorinistas that artificial
- 17:25Speaker 3: intelligence is coming for you. We're gonna talk about that later.
- 17:29Speaker 3: I'm gonna do my tribute to Bernard McGirt that I
- 17:32Speaker 3: used to do every year at WABC that they never do.
- 17:35Speaker 3: I mean, that was a radio guy. And we're gonna
- 17:39Speaker 3: talk about the crime of the century. Up next, Bitcoin cryptocurrency.
- 17:45Speaker 3: I call it crime coin and the biggest Ponzi scheme
- 17:49Speaker 3: that has ever existed in American history. And some of
- 17:53Speaker 3: you are being lured into it because Trump, who said
- 17:56Speaker 3: it was bitcrime at one time, then got all that
- 18:00Speaker 3: money from the crypto monsters, and now he's the number
- 18:03Speaker 3: one advocate of crime coin one eight hundred three two
- 18:07Speaker 3: one zero sevent.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Ten Street Smart Straight Talk Curtis leewa guest host for
- 18:13Speaker 1: Mark Simone on sevent ten woor.
- 18:20Speaker 3: But I tell you, is he stopped glazing me. Huh.
- 18:23Speaker 3: Don't patronize me, huh. Now I'm gonna teach everybody something
- 18:27Speaker 3: about crime coin aka bitcoin, the biggest Ponzi scheme ever,
- 18:33Speaker 3: Bernie Madoff, he can't touch this anyway. The other night,
- 18:38Speaker 3: before New Year's Eve, before the ball dropped, they're running
- 18:41Speaker 3: across some of these young millennials. You know, they're all
- 18:44Speaker 3: into bigcoin. You know they're financial advisors. So let me
- 18:49Speaker 3: ask you a question. Who created crime coin aka bitcoin?
- 18:54Speaker 3: I don't know. Sato Shi Nakamoto, Hi Hi hi Ho
- 19:00Speaker 3: Shi na Kamoto. I didn't know that. You know, nobody
- 19:04Speaker 3: ever saw this guy. They claim he created this electronic
- 19:08Speaker 3: care system mind like one million bitcoin, and then all
- 19:15Speaker 3: of a sudden, nobody hears from them, nobody sees them,
- 19:18Speaker 3: And in twenty eleven, three years later, he goes, I
- 19:21Speaker 3: moved on to other things. Ha moved on to other things.
- 19:25Speaker 3: That's a racket. So he created this bitcoin and first
- 19:31Speaker 3: blockchain database that pave the way for cryptocurrency and what
- 19:37Speaker 3: I call a Ponzi scheme. And right away the FBI
- 19:42Speaker 3: and Interpol were warning us that organize international crime is
- 19:47Speaker 3: gonna lawn the money through bitcoin and beware this wallet exploitation.
- 19:54Speaker 3: And so I'm talking to these folks and yeah, yeah,
- 19:57Speaker 3: but it's the coming way. Man. You can make a
- 20:00Speaker 3: lot of money. Ponzi schemes make a lot of money too.
- 20:04Speaker 3: Remember Bernie Madoff and Sam Blake Minfried. Remember the guy
- 20:10Speaker 3: who looked like he fell out of his bunk, that
- 20:13Speaker 3: FTX boy who is in prison, but no doubt he's
- 20:16Speaker 3: probably gonna try to seek a pardon like the guy
- 20:19Speaker 3: who funded him into business originally. And this is what's
- 20:24Speaker 3: got my blood boiling with Donald Trump now, who at
- 20:28Speaker 3: first used to call bitcoin crin coin, used to say
- 20:34Speaker 3: it was a scam, it was a Ponzi scheme, And
- 20:37Speaker 3: all of a sudden, he has become the first crypto president.
- 20:40Speaker 3: He's ended regulations, he launched a trump Coin, He's linking
- 20:45Speaker 3: crypto to the stock market world, liberty financial Oh boy, well,
- 20:54Speaker 3: all this money borrowing for crypto and then there'll be
- 20:58Speaker 3: a crash and then and everybody will say that's what happens.
- 21:03Speaker 3: It's a gamble on Wall Street. No, no, no is
- 21:07Speaker 3: a difference. It was this guy Jao who actually put
- 21:14Speaker 3: Sam Bankman Freed into business at FTX. He's the richest
- 21:19Speaker 3: man in crypto. He admitted to a federal government that
- 21:24Speaker 3: he did money laundering that allowed terrorists and other criminals
- 21:28Speaker 3: to move money on finance. They sent him to jail,
- 21:33Speaker 3: and guess who pardoned him, Donald Trump, the crypto president
- 21:41Speaker 3: who owns his own crypto empire with his family. And
- 21:47Speaker 3: it's now called what is that, liberty, liberty world, liberty,
- 21:51Speaker 3: financial outrage. Oh you can't say that, Yes, I can
- 21:58Speaker 3: come on. Any of you out there, know this is
- 22:01Speaker 3: a Ponzi scheme. People are gonna be lord in now
- 22:05Speaker 3: that the president and his family are all involved, and
- 22:09Speaker 3: you know they're giving their sanctifying it, and they're gonna
- 22:12Speaker 3: be investing money, and then the crypto criminals are gonna
- 22:16Speaker 3: rip them off. In fact, they're gonna use what they
- 22:20Speaker 3: call a wrench attack. The thief enters your house or
- 22:24Speaker 3: your place of business. It's like being hitting ahead with
- 22:27Speaker 3: a wrench until you give up the password. You know
- 22:30Speaker 3: what that is? You have any ideas? He study up
- 22:34Speaker 3: on it, because your generation is getting all geeked up,
- 22:37Speaker 3: you know. Oh yeah, Bitcoin douche coin. Yeah, so these steams,
- 22:45Speaker 3: many of them degenerate gamblers because they're young, and you know,
- 22:48Speaker 3: they're on FANDU and they're gambling away money they don't have.
- 22:52Speaker 3: There's still millions from bitcoin users. They empty their crypto wallets,
- 22:59Speaker 3: they under the money and then they laugh about it.
- 23:03Speaker 3: But are you being told about that? Ladies and gentlemen,
- 23:06Speaker 3: do you ask about that? Do you challenge authority? Do
- 23:09Speaker 3: you say, why is the most powerful man in the world,
- 23:12Speaker 3: the President of the United States and his family, getting
- 23:16Speaker 3: involved in his business that appears to be by anyone
- 23:23Speaker 3: looking at it, a Ponzi scheme. Oh but you can't
- 23:26Speaker 3: say that, Yes I can. I'm an American citizen. I
- 23:29Speaker 3: have a right to challenge authority, as all of you should.
- 23:34Speaker 3: And when I'm giving the opportunity to do talk radio,
- 23:36Speaker 3: I don't do talk radio like everybody else. You know,
- 23:39Speaker 3: they get their talking points, whether they're on the left
- 23:41Speaker 3: of the right, God forbid, they actually question their gods.
- 23:45Speaker 3: Zorhanmandamis he's now you know he's going to a form
- 23:51Speaker 3: of idolatry, Donald Trump idolatry. You dare question anything that
- 23:58Speaker 3: doesn't make sense? Oh you're a call me whatever you want,
- 24:04Speaker 3: because I am Curtis Leewer. And when he doesn't sound
- 24:08Speaker 3: right and it looks crooked, look at Eric Adams, the
- 24:14Speaker 3: most crooked mayor of all time. And I told you
- 24:18Speaker 3: about that when I ran against him in twenty twenty one.
- 24:21Speaker 3: And thank god Andy Cohen when the ball dropped in
- 24:24Speaker 3: Times Square, reiterated that I get the hell out of here.
- 24:29Speaker 3: Eric Adams. He has left a stain on the soul
- 24:33Speaker 3: of this city. And I told you about that. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 24:39Speaker 3: It's I'm on, dummy. I was elected as a democratic
- 24:43Speaker 3: socialist and I will govern as a democratic socialist. Isn't
- 24:47Speaker 3: that what He's at every step of the way. Shocked?
- 24:50Speaker 3: And the President has said nothing, but it stole his virtues.
- 24:56Speaker 3: Wake up. I number's one eight hundred and three two
- 25:00Speaker 3: one zero seven ten. That's one eight hundred three two
- 25:03Speaker 3: one zero seven ten.
- 25:04Speaker 1: Talk Radio with Street Crag literally Curtis Sliwad joined sevent
- 25:10Speaker 1: ten wor to guess those from Mark Samos.
- 25:15Speaker 3: It's right. You know you have guests or callers. I
- 25:18Speaker 3: don't want them glazing me either, you know, patronizing me.
- 25:22Speaker 3: Really what you want as a guest who is an adversary?
- 25:25Speaker 3: And then you have a discussion likewise with callers who
- 25:30Speaker 3: needs this Barney talk all the time? I love you,
- 25:32Speaker 3: you love me? You know. You go to MSNBC, it's
- 25:36Speaker 3: all the same people. It's like they're in their court,
- 25:39Speaker 3: acquire same thing Fox News Channel. The whole idea is
- 25:44Speaker 3: you get different points of view and you come to
- 25:47Speaker 3: your own conclusion. What's wrong with that? Oh no, it's
- 25:51Speaker 3: got to be all I love you, you love me. Get
- 25:54Speaker 3: out of here. That's that's not Curtis Sleeverer. Anyway, let's
- 25:57Speaker 3: go to the phones. First up, it's in Brooklyn. Your
- 26:02Speaker 3: turn to be heard here on sevent ten wor Curtis.
- 26:07Speaker 4: I just want to tell you from that other station
- 26:10Speaker 4: they censored me, going back to the month of October
- 26:14Speaker 4: when they started to ramp up their rhetoric against you.
- 26:17Speaker 4: I think you know who I am, and I was
- 26:20Speaker 4: one of your biggest cheerleaders, not only on that station
- 26:24Speaker 4: but everywhere. They would not take my calls. I tried
- 26:28Speaker 4: to point out to everyone. I did a deep dive
- 26:31Speaker 4: into the details of all of these so called polls,
- 26:36Speaker 4: and I explained to them how there was no way
- 26:39Speaker 4: that Cuomo could ever win that election, and because of that,
- 26:42Speaker 4: they stopped taking my calls and I stopped listening to
- 26:45Speaker 4: that station.
- 26:45Speaker 3: Good good, Well, let me tell you, Jacqueline, for many
- 26:48Speaker 3: of you, and I know you're out there because you
- 26:50Speaker 3: come up to me all the time. You're texting me,
- 26:55Speaker 3: you're sending me emails, all of that. Good. Hey, you
- 26:58Speaker 3: don't need to go back to that back and Curtis stuff.
- 27:02Speaker 3: You stay right here seven ten w what right? You
- 27:05Speaker 3: got enough good talk here to satisfy your needs. Don't
- 27:11Speaker 3: be a massive kiss and go back there. By the way,
- 27:13Speaker 3: updates when I do my tribute to Bernard mcgirka, they
- 27:16Speaker 3: never do with WABC any longer. Is that the guy
- 27:20Speaker 3: in the morning, you know, Sid Tessio. He's planning to
- 27:24Speaker 3: move to Florida. Oh yeah, yeah, they're hurts you a
- 27:29Speaker 3: get right there out of here. They're not gonna stay
- 27:33Speaker 3: and fight. No, no, no, no, they don't believe improved.
- 27:35Speaker 3: Don't move. They want out. Look, you're free to go.
- 27:41Speaker 3: This is the greatness of America. If you're not happy
- 27:44Speaker 3: in our trach state area here or anywhere you move around,
- 27:47Speaker 3: it's called migration. It's what's made America great. I don't
- 27:50Speaker 3: fault any of you if you do that. I've chosen no, no, no, no,
- 27:55Speaker 3: I improve, I don't move. I fight for what I
- 27:57Speaker 3: know is right. Unsure. I'm ondami is going to initiate
- 28:00Speaker 3: ate something that I'm in opposition to with others. It's
- 28:03Speaker 3: to the barricades, right out of them? Me? Is that
- 28:05Speaker 3: up to the barricades? See got a place you can come.
- 28:11Speaker 3: They don't need to go to WABC, always bashing Curtis
- 28:16Speaker 3: and obviously where the talk show hosts and hostesses are
- 28:22Speaker 3: all preparing to abandon ship. Oh I know I have
- 28:26Speaker 3: it on good authority. Let's go to Russ who's calling
- 28:29Speaker 3: from White Plains. Your turn to be heard here at
- 28:34Speaker 3: WABC lost toys down there? Did they not know that
- 28:39Speaker 3: you sacrificed an Ivy League education for freedom from Jackson Tis?
- 28:44Speaker 3: I mean, Curtis your crusader. Oh stop placing me. Here's
- 28:49Speaker 3: another one patronizing me. I did not sacrifice an Ivy
- 28:53Speaker 3: League education. Let's get the record straight. I was going
- 28:58Speaker 3: to Brooklyn Prep. I was a senior there. Jesuit High
- 29:02Speaker 3: School was the last year they were open, seventy two.
- 29:05Speaker 3: I was the student government president. We took a pleb
- 29:10Speaker 3: site not to wear the jacketson ties, which were part
- 29:13Speaker 3: of the tradition. I tried to enforce the plever site.
- 29:18Speaker 3: The Jesuit's warned me, say, there will be consequences for
- 29:21Speaker 3: your actions. Why do you think your mom and dad
- 29:24Speaker 3: and other parents worked so hard so their kids can
- 29:27Speaker 3: come and get a good Jesuit education. Part of it
- 29:30Speaker 3: is the discipline of wearing a jacket in tie. But hey,
- 29:34Speaker 3: as in the sixties the counter culture, don't trust anybody
- 29:38Speaker 3: over thirty. Challenge authority, as I always dot. But the
- 29:44Speaker 3: best lesson that I ever got taught was there are
- 29:48Speaker 3: consequences for your actions. Uh. The headmaster was a guy
- 29:55Speaker 3: named Father Alexander. It was a prefect of discipline. Always
- 30:00Speaker 3: hated me. They marched me to my locker. I had
- 30:04Speaker 3: a clearer out. I thought everybody else would join me,
- 30:07Speaker 3: right to a walk out. They looked at me as
- 30:11Speaker 3: if I was a member of the Leper college. And
- 30:13Speaker 3: I never heard from any of them. And I headed
- 30:17Speaker 3: home to Canarsy and I never looked back, never looked back.
- 30:22Speaker 3: Spent a few weeks in Canarsie High School, pretty good
- 30:25Speaker 3: local high school, but that was it. I had it
- 30:29Speaker 3: one out, started working. I was pumping gas, packing shelves
- 30:34Speaker 3: at NAP and A and P, and then ended up
- 30:37Speaker 3: going up to the Bronx where I became the night
- 30:39Speaker 3: manager of Mickey D's. And that's where I started the
- 30:42Speaker 3: Guardian Angels. So I never finished high school technically, never
- 30:45Speaker 3: got a GED. I did have a partial scholarship that
- 30:50Speaker 3: was being offered to me from Brown in Providence because
- 30:54Speaker 3: they had just set up an environmental studies program. I
- 30:58Speaker 3: had started some of the first recite kling centers all
- 31:01Speaker 3: over the country, although right there in Brooklyn, and they
- 31:06Speaker 3: wanted to give me a half scholarship, which I probably
- 31:09Speaker 3: would have taken if I graduated. But I my decisions
- 31:18Speaker 3: caused me to suffer the consequences. And this is what
- 31:22Speaker 3: you have to learn and teach your children and grandchildren
- 31:25Speaker 3: growing up. And sometimes you have to learn the hard way.
- 31:28Speaker 3: There are consequences for your actions, and that's the way
- 31:34Speaker 3: it should be. Let's go to Leonora's calling from Connecticut.
- 31:37Speaker 3: Your turn to be heard on what I Hope is
- 31:39Speaker 3: your favorite station seven to ten w or Leoni.
- 31:45Speaker 5: It absolutely is, especially now that you're on it. Curtis,
- 31:48Speaker 5: I just want you to know I checked out for
- 31:50Speaker 5: the holidays. I didn't know where you were when I
- 31:53Speaker 5: put on War, and there you are. I freaked out.
- 31:56Speaker 5: I can't believe it. I'm thrilled you' here in. Anybody
- 31:59Speaker 5: who's who was pissed off that you didn't drop out
- 32:01Speaker 5: of that race can go spin because anybody who knows
- 32:05Speaker 5: you knows that you are not going to back down.
- 32:07Speaker 5: And I'm proud you didn't. Mcdonmie was gonna win no
- 32:10Speaker 5: matter what. Cuomo was never gonna take it. I don't
- 32:13Speaker 5: care who was paying him or what was going on.
- 32:15Speaker 5: Mcdonmie was gonna take it. And I am proud you're
- 32:18Speaker 5: on w O War And I'm so excited to start
- 32:20Speaker 5: my new year out this way. So keep it going, Curtis.
- 32:23Speaker 3: All right, Well, remember remember Leonora. For everyone who's just
- 32:26Speaker 3: listening now, I'm only here's upstanding for Mark Simon, the
- 32:29Speaker 3: best in the business. I mean, this guy's the smooth operator.
- 32:33Speaker 3: All right. I've worked side by side with Mark Simon.
- 32:37Speaker 3: I competed against Mark Simon. There were none betic, none
- 32:41Speaker 3: better than the business and the person who is jumping
- 32:44Speaker 3: up and down looking forward to Mark's return on Monday.
- 32:48Speaker 3: The fifth is Greg Kelly over at WABC, because I'd
- 32:52Speaker 3: walk in. I'd walk into that studio. BB's sitting there
- 32:57Speaker 3: snacking off of Mark Simone's shows, taking off all kinds
- 33:00Speaker 3: of notes. That's how we would do a show prep,
- 33:02Speaker 3: which is a pretty good idea, especially when you're like
- 33:06Speaker 3: Greg Kelly and you don't do any show prep and
- 33:09Speaker 3: you think you could sit there for three hours and
- 33:11Speaker 3: just do a stream of consciousness. Now it doesn't work.
- 33:15Speaker 3: So he'd be taking notes, you know, like comedians would
- 33:19Speaker 3: be stealing lines from one another. By the way, we're
- 33:22Speaker 3: gonna be talking about AI in the next hour, let
- 33:26Speaker 3: me quantify it. It's like Joe Biden. It's a plagiarism
- 33:32Speaker 3: machine that steals and plunders all kinds of information. So
- 33:37Speaker 3: like comedians used to steal from one another, and Greg
- 33:40Speaker 3: Kelly steals from the best in the business, Mark Simon.
- 33:44Speaker 3: Not they're wrong with Dad. I know you're listening now, Greg,
- 33:46Speaker 3: You're disappointed because you the kind of stuff I'm talking about,
- 33:49Speaker 3: you wouldn't be picking my pocket. But It's okay. Mark's
- 33:52Speaker 3: coming back on Monday. You'll have somebody to do your
- 33:56Speaker 3: show prep for you. Up next, gotta pay tribute to
- 34:05Speaker 3: one of the greats. I know he's on every Monday
- 34:09Speaker 3: with Larry Mente Warner Wolf. Oh, what a great story
- 34:14Speaker 3: about Warner Wolf still kicking it down to Fort Myers.
- 34:19Speaker 3: And then the tribute to Bernard McGirt that they don't
- 34:21Speaker 3: even do a WABC any longer, I mean, the most
- 34:25Speaker 3: loyal person ever ever in this thing of ours.
- 34:31Speaker 6: Radio Now more with New York's iconic straight shooter Curtis
- 34:37Speaker 6: Slaywah guest hosting from Mark Simone on seven ten wo
- 34:42Speaker 6: wo oh.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:44Speaker 3: I look forward a Monday morning when Warner Wolf joins
- 34:48Speaker 3: Larry Minty as he does every Monday. I'm down there,
- 34:52Speaker 3: I think Fort Myers and Naples, Florida. I remember the
- 34:55Speaker 3: last I heard big time from Warner not him personally,
- 34:59Speaker 3: but scrolling through I saw the news that Warner Wolf
- 35:03Speaker 3: had decided to go out to the sign outside of
- 35:07Speaker 3: his home in an uh you know, a compound, a
- 35:11Speaker 3: gated community where it was a homeowner's association and take
- 35:15Speaker 3: down the sign plantation. He didn't want it, thought that
- 35:18Speaker 3: they lived on a plantation. He didn't like the connotation,
- 35:23Speaker 3: and they locked him up and he fought it and
- 35:27Speaker 3: asked Warner Wolf a great, okay, let's go to the videotape. Well,
- 35:31Speaker 3: you need to know about Warner Wolf's He spent many
- 35:33Speaker 3: years with him at WABC. That was a tough job
- 35:37Speaker 3: getting him over there because he no longer was doing
- 35:41Speaker 3: sports on television. Tim McCarthy, who was our general manager
- 35:46Speaker 3: at that time, comes to me, I'm doing the morning
- 35:49Speaker 3: program with Ron Koby, whose mommy is a coming the
- 35:53Speaker 3: predecessor to zoron mondomi. If you want to know anything
- 35:56Speaker 3: about zoraon Mondomie, he's ron Coooby. Except now you could
- 36:03Speaker 3: get elected Maya saying that back then they'd want to
- 36:06Speaker 3: lock you up. But anyway, the point is, Tim McCarthy says,
- 36:08Speaker 3: I got a great addition in the morning show, what
- 36:10Speaker 3: a Wolf wants to do sports for you guys in
- 36:14Speaker 3: the morning. I said, Oh man, it doesn't get any
- 36:16Speaker 3: better than that. Oh, ron Koby, Well he'll cut into
- 36:20Speaker 3: talk time, I said, trust me, Ron, people would much
- 36:24Speaker 3: rather listen to Warner Wolf than you and me, because
- 36:26Speaker 3: he doesn't just talk sports. He'll talk about whatever's on
- 36:29Speaker 3: his mind. I said, you know, Warner Wolf both made
- 36:33Speaker 3: his moans in radio before television. I said, his parents
- 36:37Speaker 3: were out in vaudeville. This guy's a great entertainer. No, no, no, Well,
- 36:42Speaker 3: eventually I was able to hold sway. Warna joined us.
- 36:47Speaker 3: What a great combination, and I will never forget one
- 36:49Speaker 3: of the greatest talk radio moments. He's describing how he
- 36:54Speaker 3: and his wife had gone on a tour of Europe
- 36:56Speaker 3: and I don't know if they were visiting Paris at
- 36:58Speaker 3: the time or Vienna. One of those balconies were Hitler,
- 37:03Speaker 3: after taking over the country with the Nazis, had come
- 37:05Speaker 3: out onto the balcony, and you know there were cheering
- 37:09Speaker 3: tens of thousands of Vshi or Nazi sympathizers. And Warner said,
- 37:17Speaker 3: I walked out towards the balcony. I could imagine Adolf
- 37:20Speaker 3: Hitler standing there, and I had a twenty two, and
- 37:26Speaker 3: I walked up behind him and I pulled the trigger
- 37:29Speaker 3: and I blew his brains out. I don't care if
- 37:34Speaker 3: they would have shot me dead right there his body. Guy,
- 37:37Speaker 3: I said, you actually says yes, I've had that that
- 37:41Speaker 3: that thought when I was there with my wife and
- 37:44Speaker 3: I thought about him many times, if only somebody had
- 37:46Speaker 3: done that when this monster was rising up. Man, I
- 37:52Speaker 3: was riveting talk radio. It was so good. And then
- 37:59Speaker 3: of how, of course his emphasis on sports talking about
- 38:05Speaker 3: other issues of the day. I'll never forget. He's up
- 38:08Speaker 3: at a gym like fifteen nine Street, Columbus Circle nearby.
- 38:12Speaker 3: He lived there, and he'd be working out in the
- 38:14Speaker 3: public gym and guess who would come in and work
- 38:16Speaker 3: out next one Madonna. Yeah. And the guy was like
- 38:22Speaker 3: a Germapholbe. He would never open up the bathroom with
- 38:27Speaker 3: his hands. You'd always have tissue paper and toilet paper
- 38:32Speaker 3: and you know, bounty towels, just like some of you
- 38:35Speaker 3: out there Germa folks. He would never talk on on
- 38:37Speaker 3: he doesn't touch it. And if I remember correctly, he
- 38:40Speaker 3: said I never drank water. It's like a Drummond Derry,
- 38:44Speaker 3: you know, a one hum camel never drank water. What
- 38:47Speaker 3: a great personality. Best thing that ever happened to me
- 38:51Speaker 3: in radio was bringing Warre a wolf on board, who,
- 38:54Speaker 3: by the way, remember had been with Imus in the
- 38:56Speaker 3: morning doing sports when the World Trade Center was attacked
- 39:03Speaker 3: on nine to eleven, And he didn't lived too far
- 39:06Speaker 3: away and he gave great commentary as to what was transpiring. Unfortunately,
- 39:15Speaker 3: too many people never were exposed to warn a Wolf,
- 39:20Speaker 3: not only in terms of his great ability on television
- 39:23Speaker 3: doing sports, but how vaudevillian he was, what a great entertainer,
- 39:29Speaker 3: what great stories he could tell, which is everything that
- 39:33Speaker 3: makes radio great. It isn't just regurgitating what was in
- 39:37Speaker 3: the news. Anybody could do that. It's connecting the dots
- 39:42Speaker 3: and relating it to stories that not only you grew
- 39:46Speaker 3: up with, but maybe you were personally involved with. And
- 39:51Speaker 3: the fact that you can turn to wr and he
- 39:56Speaker 3: won a Wolf with Larry MENTI in the Morning is
- 39:59Speaker 3: truly blessing of talk radio, because if you're listening to
- 40:04Speaker 3: WABC always bashing Curtis, you end up listening to the
- 40:08Speaker 3: Eye and Me guy. You know, Sid Rosenberg, it's all
- 40:12Speaker 3: about him. He thinks he knows everything about sports. At
- 40:17Speaker 3: that time, it was Warner Wolfe who was doing the
- 40:19Speaker 3: sports on the I Miss in the Morning Show, and
- 40:22Speaker 3: the guy who made that show work was its executive producer,
- 40:28Speaker 3: Bernard McGirk. I will share with you some stories up next.
- 40:32Speaker 3: I do it. I did it every year when I
- 40:34Speaker 3: was at WABC, when he used to be always broadcasting
- 40:37Speaker 3: Curtis because they didn't do it, which they should have.
- 40:43Speaker 3: This guy knew more about radio, the ins and outs.
- 40:47Speaker 3: He would be a consigliary with the guests off I
- 40:50Speaker 3: miss when Imus would blow up. He'd booked the guests.
- 40:53Speaker 3: He'd read the books. That's why he was a constant
- 40:58Speaker 3: reader of books. And he would speak to I Miss
- 41:01Speaker 3: in the headphones, and I Miss would repeat what Bernie said,
- 41:05Speaker 3: and then I Miss, in a break, would scream unmentionables
- 41:09Speaker 3: to Bernie and his staff. Oh yeah, yeah, you don't
- 41:11Speaker 3: want to go anywhere. Attribute to Bernard McGirt, one of
- 41:16Speaker 3: the great voices in all of talk radio.
