- 0:00Speaker 1: We're going to make America healthy again by cleaning out
- 0:02Speaker 1: the sound fridge. It's one more thing.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Speaking of the fridge, I cut some Hiffie hamburgers the
- 0:13Speaker 2: other night. How how long would you let hamburgers sit
- 0:17Speaker 2: in the fridge? So I'd opened the package so it
- 0:21Speaker 2: wasn't still sealed up. They were already pre made patties. Okay,
- 0:27Speaker 2: there was like four them in there. I'd eaten two
- 0:28Speaker 2: of them. I had two left. How long could you
- 0:31Speaker 2: leave them in the fridge and feel safe about it?
- 0:34Speaker 1: A few days? Two days?
- 0:37Speaker 2: Three max?
- 0:38Speaker 1: It was a week. Holy crap, jack raw meat. But
- 0:41Speaker 1: it was refrigerating the entire time. Yes, covered, of course, Yeah, okay,
- 0:48Speaker 1: it was a.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Little it was fairly gray.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Yeah, there happened. You're a man, you're a man of means.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Just getting new meat? Yeah, good, and you're already not
- 0:58Speaker 1: feeling good.
- 1:00Speaker 2: I wasn't worried for me. I was worried for my son.
- 1:03Speaker 2: I thought, jeez, if I make him really, really sick,
- 1:04Speaker 2: this is some bad parenting. And I couldn't tell. With
- 1:08Speaker 2: my cold. That just didn't didn't smell like it seemed
- 1:11Speaker 2: like it ought to smell. As I was grilling it,
- 1:12Speaker 2: I cooked him more than I usually do. Usually I'm
- 1:14Speaker 2: kind of a medium rare burger guy. I went ahead
- 1:16Speaker 2: and cooked it all the way through. So we're okay
- 1:18Speaker 2: as days ago, so we haven't died.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Well, there you go, there you go. There's your answer. So,
- 1:25Speaker 1: speaking of food, I'm going to start the cleaning out
- 1:28Speaker 1: sound fridge oddly with an email from oh sorry, metal guy,
- 1:33Speaker 1: thank you. I'm going to change his last name to
- 1:35Speaker 1: Jones just because he doesn't need to be docs or whatever.
- 1:38Speaker 1: But Eric potassium Benzowait Jones from Beautiful Oregon. Right, guys,
- 1:43Speaker 1: it's probably because I'm mentally disturbed, but RFK Junior's announcement
- 1:47Speaker 1: about banning petroleum based synthetic food dies offends me to
- 1:50Speaker 1: no end. He was actually joined by Marty Macari of
- 1:54Speaker 1: the FDA, who's a sane guy like Marty played clip
- 1:57Speaker 1: eighteen for us.
- 1:57Speaker 3: Michael, Well, these diyes have been associated with obesity and diabetes.
- 2:01Speaker 3: They've been associated with attention deficit disorder, hormone disruption, and
- 2:06Speaker 3: as a doctor, I think of it this way. When
- 2:09Speaker 3: we've got an surging epidemic of all of these chronic
- 2:13Speaker 3: conditions and no good explanation as to why don't we
- 2:16Speaker 3: want to air on the side of safety. These are
- 2:19Speaker 3: petroleum based chemicals. Nobody would think it's reasonable to do
- 2:23Speaker 3: a randomized trial where you inject half the kids in
- 2:25Speaker 3: the trial with crude oil to see whether or not
- 2:28Speaker 3: it's good for you.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Oh, I'd be against that. Definitely injecting children with crude
- 2:32Speaker 1: oil my opinion. Marty Mackery has dropped a bit.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Well, the problem with that argument is we got all
- 2:39Speaker 2: these problems, so why not ban a whole bunch of
- 2:42Speaker 2: things that might happen to have anything to do with it.
- 2:44Speaker 2: I mean, I don't get that argument.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Well, and as Eric points out, the demagogery is shameless.
- 2:49Speaker 1: The whole petroleum based rhetoric is only meant to hornswog
- 2:51Speaker 1: the public. G that can't be good for you. Really,
- 2:54Speaker 1: why would it make you worry about taking aspirin if
- 2:56Speaker 1: you knew it was ultimately petroleum based? Of course not.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Either it's even safe over a long period of use
- 3:01Speaker 1: or it isn't We have an organic food spouting which
- 3:04Speaker 1: doctor Crank with no scientific background, in charge of our
- 3:08Speaker 1: government health bureaucracy, a combination of yule gibbons and wavy
- 3:12Speaker 1: gravy who parenthetically would actually be better choices, but sadly they
- 3:16Speaker 1: are dead. And then Eric handily enough included the blast freemas,
- 3:23Speaker 1: I know, such good writing. I was gonna make that
- 3:25Speaker 1: part of a mail bag with that one from Jess
- 3:28Speaker 1: and Wiley, Texas talking about the papoosas. That was such
- 3:31Speaker 1: good writing about bad neighborhoods.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Should be in the That should be in the like
- 3:35Speaker 2: Wall Street Journal or something. It's that good.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Oh. I know we have a number of correspondents Eric
- 3:40Speaker 1: and Jess and j T and Paolo and all who
- 3:44Speaker 1: are just wavy gravy with both of whom would be
- 3:48Speaker 1: better choices. Yeah. But Yule Gibbons, who's that this will
- 3:53Speaker 1: explain Clips seventeen.
- 3:54Speaker 4: I'm your Gibbons. I've spent years learning about natural foods.
- 3:59Speaker 4: Ever eat a pine tree. Many parts are edible. Natural
- 4:03Speaker 4: ingredients are important to me. That's why I post. Grape
- 4:06Speaker 4: nuts is part of my breakfast. This wholesome cereal is
- 4:10Speaker 4: made from wheat and barley. These naturally ingredients are baked
- 4:13Speaker 4: into crunching nuggets and fortified with vitamins. It's naturally a
- 4:17Speaker 4: sweet taste reminds me of wild hackory nuts. I call
- 4:20Speaker 4: grape nuts my back to nature cereal.
- 4:23Speaker 1: I like grape that's Yule gibbons, naturalist Yule Gibbons of yesterdayear.
- 4:27Speaker 2: We grew up with that katie that was on our
- 4:29Speaker 2: TV every day.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Have you ever eaten a pine tree?
- 4:33Speaker 2: That was a regular joke.
- 4:35Speaker 1: And here you're eating a pine tree. So here's a
- 4:38Speaker 1: cereal made out of barley and wheat. It has to
- 4:42Speaker 1: do with pine trees?
- 4:44Speaker 2: I don't know. I mean the ingredients are grape nuts
- 4:46Speaker 2: are basically you know, they're very, very good. But I
- 4:49Speaker 2: had my break. Yeah, my son had his first bowl
- 4:53Speaker 2: the other day because I love grape nuts, and.
- 4:55Speaker 1: He said, how do you eat these? It's like a
- 4:57Speaker 1: little bull of rocks?
- 4:58Speaker 2: And it is like a little bull rock.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Yeah. In one of those jarring transitions that have endeared
- 5:06Speaker 1: us to dozens. This is the documentary. The trailer rather
- 5:11Speaker 1: from an upcoming HBO documentary about Paul Rubins aka Pee
- 5:16Speaker 1: wee Herman.
- 5:17Speaker 5: Guess what, I'm having a party and you're invited. I
- 5:22Speaker 5: wanted to be a performance artist. Out of nowhere, pee
- 5:27Speaker 5: wee Herman popped out of me. The audience ate it
- 5:30Speaker 5: up and went crazy. There wasn't like a moment in
- 5:34Speaker 5: the eighties that wasn't super cool to be meet.
- 5:37Speaker 1: And then dark music thump bump, bump bom.
- 5:41Speaker 5: I lost control of my anonymity that it was devastating.
- 5:46Speaker 5: I don't want to come off like a victim in
- 5:49Speaker 5: some way. I kept who I was a secret for
- 5:52Speaker 5: a really long time. I hid behind an alter ego.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Today's secret would is Yes, it is just so final.
- 6:02Speaker 5: To be able to get your message in at the
- 6:04Speaker 5: last minute is incredible to me.
- 6:10Speaker 2: I read about that really pretty interesting story. He was
- 6:13Speaker 2: a kind of a avant garde sort of artist, sketch person,
- 6:19Speaker 2: sketch comedy person, and he created this character be with Herman,
- 6:22Speaker 2: which really took off if you lived through it. You know,
- 6:24Speaker 2: he had major motion pictures and all that sort of stuff.
- 6:26Speaker 2: But and then he got caught in a theater work
- 6:30Speaker 2: in as Man, So that put a damp around his
- 6:33Speaker 2: career for a while and changed people's image.
- 6:36Speaker 1: You know.
- 6:36Speaker 2: I don't know if if today that would be that
- 6:38Speaker 2: big a deal. Although it was a kid's program, so
- 6:40Speaker 2: that hurt right here.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Yeah sure, I mean if he was like a professional
- 6:43Speaker 1: bull rider or something, I don't know, but yeah, he
- 6:46Speaker 1: did a kids show I'm not sure that's.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Really good brand for a professional bull rider either caught
- 6:53Speaker 2: it and was he not a.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Good brand for anybody. It was a porn theater, which
- 6:57Speaker 1: is you know, it's not like he was seeing you know,
- 7:00Speaker 1: I don't know, Star Wars, and he engaged in self
- 7:05Speaker 1: pleasure met right, you're watching all the larger movie doing
- 7:09Speaker 1: it right, exactly? Old yeller? Yeah, oh oh my, too
- 7:15Speaker 1: good to even contemplate. That's funny. That's the key to
- 7:18Speaker 1: the whole thing. You're caught in a theater.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Uh, you know, doing your thing, and uh, if it's
- 7:25Speaker 2: a porno movie, it's bad, but it's come your your
- 7:29Speaker 2: life's over. If it's just a regular theater, you're better
- 7:34Speaker 2: off in at CD theater.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Well right, yeah, I mean you can explain that. Okay
- 7:42Speaker 1: again a jarring transition. These are a couple of twins
- 7:46Speaker 1: clip number ten, Michael who speaking tandem.
- 7:49Speaker 6: Apparently he went up there and he was coming back
- 7:53Speaker 6: down towards this and he goes run, he's got a gun.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Oh shut up? What was that?
- 8:01Speaker 7: Those were two twins acting like they say everything at
- 8:04Speaker 7: the same time, and you could clearly hear one of
- 8:07Speaker 7: them trying to catch up.
- 8:08Speaker 1: No, stop, and then they forgot they remember the script,
- 8:12Speaker 1: and then that was stupid. Michael, is there more to choose?
- 8:16Speaker 1: Who's to blame for this? Somebody did? Wasn't me?
- 8:20Speaker 2: What's the number one creed for the Armstrong and Getty show.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Who's to blame?
- 8:25Speaker 1: Right?
- 8:25Speaker 5: Right?
- 8:26Speaker 1: So solving the problem must wait until we assigned.
- 8:30Speaker 7: Michael, don't you dump that on me?
- 8:34Speaker 1: Getting back to this twins.
- 8:35Speaker 6: So the story was that their mom got carjacked and
- 8:37Speaker 6: they were on TV and they were interviewed and they
- 8:40Speaker 6: were speaking like this, and apparently some doctors have said,
- 8:43Speaker 6: in rare cases, they're Australian twins, this happens where twins
- 8:47Speaker 6: can finish each other's sentences like this.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Their mom got carjacked and when they were interviewed, they
- 8:53Speaker 2: talked to.
- 8:53Speaker 6: They bost spoke yeah in tandem.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Wow.
- 8:56Speaker 7: For not being the guy who brought the clip, you
- 8:58Speaker 7: sure know a lot about it, Michael.
- 9:00Speaker 1: No, I just saw the story. I didn't bring this
- 9:03Speaker 1: particular Yeah right, sure, okay, sure, Australian twins, Okay, God,
- 9:12Speaker 1: neither one of them said, Craig, this is just oh no,
- 9:17Speaker 1: I'm sorry. We did that already. We did that joke
- 9:20Speaker 1: already I apologize. I retracted my beginning of an introduction.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Uh is there anything else? We ought to play? Michael
- 9:26Speaker 1: ms skin in the list? And I don't know, it's
- 9:28Speaker 1: all a lot of it's so heavy.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Well, you guys said a couple of days on the burger,
- 9:33Speaker 2: and I pushed it out too week, so I wasn't
- 9:34Speaker 2: even close.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Really, No, you know, three days I'm reasonably comfortable with.
- 9:40Speaker 1: I'd take a look at, take a sniff, he said
- 9:44Speaker 1: in the fridge. What I'm saying, comfortable if I did
- 9:48Speaker 1: twice that?
- 9:49Speaker 7: Oh no, wha listen to that? Sorry about that. My
- 9:54Speaker 7: phone my phone ring tone is trump yelling.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Oh is it? You should have put it up of
- 10:00Speaker 1: the microphone that covered it up.
- 10:03Speaker 2: I need to have fun ring tone, So I just
- 10:05Speaker 2: mind just rings like a phone.
- 10:08Speaker 1: I've got.
- 10:09Speaker 2: I know somebody who's got a goat screaming as a
- 10:12Speaker 2: ring tone, and every time their phone rings it about me.
- 10:16Speaker 1: That's a terrible idea. God, you couldn't give somebody a
- 10:18Speaker 1: heart attack. I didn't even know you can still download
- 10:25Speaker 1: ring tones.
- 10:25Speaker 7: I thought, Yeah, I've had this one for a minute. Here,
- 10:29Speaker 7: hang on here, it is your phone.
- 10:31Speaker 8: Is rigging, and it's rigging it's spectacular fish and I
- 10:34Speaker 8: just have to say, the greatest ring the world has
- 10:38Speaker 8: ever seen. And on the other end of the phone,
- 10:40Speaker 8: who's there. You look at the caller id. We call
- 10:43Speaker 8: it coller Id and they say Ida is racist. Coller Id.
- 10:48Speaker 8: It could be a credit card scam, or it could
- 10:51Speaker 8: be a car warranty, or it could be on the
- 10:55Speaker 8: other end of the phone the greatest president the world
- 10:58Speaker 8: has ever seated.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Now, I see why you hit the red X. It
- 11:03Speaker 1: was on for a minute, doesn't it does. That's good.
- 11:06Speaker 2: That's a good ending.
- 11:08Speaker 6: Well, I guess that's it.
