- 0:24Speaker 2: Wake your ass up. Rich, today's national.
- 0:27Speaker 3: It is National Drink Beer Day. It is National Good
- 0:31Speaker 3: Neighbor Day. I really like this. It is National Read
- 0:35Speaker 3: a Child a Book That You Like Day. And it
- 0:38Speaker 3: is National Ask a Stupid Question Day, which we should
- 0:42Speaker 3: get right behind on this show. But it's actually legit.
- 0:44Speaker 3: It was created to encourage students to ask questions without
- 0:48Speaker 3: worrying if they'll sound dumb or not. So Ask a
- 0:51Speaker 3: Stupid Question Day.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Got a text here. You can always text us.
- 0:55Speaker 1: You text JJR and whatever you want to say to 96893.
- 0:57Speaker 1: And there's a text here that says, you guys need
- 1:01Speaker 1: to add Dylan to the show as a regular. Dylan,
- 1:04Speaker 1: when you call our radio show, you get Dylan. Dylan,
- 1:07Speaker 1: you are a regular. You're on the show every day.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Unless you're traveling all the time. But one of the things,
- 1:13Speaker 1: so Dylan, how old are you, Dylan?
- 1:14Speaker 5: I'm 23.
- 1:14Speaker 1: 23 years old. And there's something that she shares behind
- 1:19Speaker 1: the scenes. But I feel that every single one of us,
- 1:22Speaker 1: except for Peyton, has this story. And it's about her face.
- 1:25Speaker 1: I know Rich has a story about his face. Kyle,
- 1:28Speaker 1: you got something done to your face?
- 1:30Speaker 4: Sure did.
- 1:31Speaker 1: I have this growth on my face. So, we start
- 1:34Speaker 1: off with Dylan's face. So, this is a face. We're
- 1:36Speaker 1: going to talk about faces today.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Face.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Face. But nothing's wrong with Peyton's face.
- 1:40Speaker 5: Sorry.
- 1:41Speaker 4: I was just born like this.
- 1:42Speaker 3: I'm sorry. I'm not sorry. It's a beautiful face.
- 1:45Speaker 2: So, what do you do with your face?
- 1:46Speaker 6: So, are you talking about the spironolactone?
- 1:48Speaker 2: Yeah, something like that.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:50Speaker 2: It's a what? You texted me some long word that
- 1:52Speaker 2: I was supposed to know what it is.
- 1:53Speaker 5: Yes. Okay.
- 1:54Speaker 6: So I have been an acne girl for a while.
- 1:57Speaker 6: Very acne prone person. Both my parents are very acne
- 2:00Speaker 6: prone and I played a lot of sports and everything.
- 2:02Speaker 5: So I've had a long journey there.
- 2:04Speaker 6: Lots of dermatologists, so many different topicals and antibiotics and everything.
- 2:08Speaker 5: And I finally just had enough.
- 2:10Speaker 6: I think it was about two years ago and I
- 2:13Speaker 6: went on Accutane, which is like very heavy duty.
- 2:16Speaker 3: I was on it.
- 2:17Speaker 5: It's hardcore.
- 2:18Speaker 4: It is.
- 2:18Speaker 6: I went on it for an entire calendar year and
- 2:22Speaker 6: it cleared up my skin pretty well.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Is it a pill?
- 2:24Speaker 5: Yes, it's a pill. It's pretty much like a high
- 2:27Speaker 5: dose vitamin A.
- 2:28Speaker 2: I feel like Justin Bieber did commercials for them.
- 2:30Speaker 4: No, he did Proactiv.
- 2:31Speaker 5: He did Proactiv, another acne product.
- 2:32Speaker 4: Which was crazy because he was knocking on people's doors
- 2:35Speaker 4: and was like.
- 2:35Speaker 5: Here's some Proactiv. You need some.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Does Proactiv use Accutane?
- 2:41Speaker 6: They use retinol, yes. So Accutane is kind of like
- 2:44Speaker 6: a retinol pill.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Okay, so you're taking this and how's your face?
- 2:46Speaker 6: So it's on Accutane and then basically I got acne
- 2:50Speaker 6: again because I think the type of acne I have
- 2:52Speaker 6: is more hormonal. So, I started taking something called spironolactone.
- 2:57Speaker 6: It's for hormonal acne. I've been on it for a
- 2:59Speaker 6: few months and I.
- 2:59Speaker 5: Think it's actually going well. It's clearing them up pretty well,
- 3:03Speaker 5: I would say.
- 3:03Speaker 2: I don't see acne on your face.
- 3:05Speaker 5: Yeah, it's okay now.
- 3:07Speaker 6: I'll definitely get some flare-ups, I would say, like if
- 3:09Speaker 6: I'm traveling a lot or if, you know, I'm stressed out.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Have you ever seen Kyle with a pimple? No, of
- 3:14Speaker 2: course not.
- 3:16Speaker 4: Kyle is like a perfect human being.
- 3:20Speaker 5: No, definitely not.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Definitely not.
- 3:22Speaker 3: I usually only like get like if I'm under like
- 3:24Speaker 3: super stress and I get like the really deep underground ones.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Oh, this one.
- 3:29Speaker 1: I had that here and I tried to pop it
- 3:31Speaker 1: too soon.
- 3:31Speaker 2: That's the worst. That's why I just try to like
- 3:34Speaker 2: keep everything light, guys.
- 3:35Speaker 1: You know that one where it's on your, mine was
- 3:36Speaker 1: like on my lip and it's like the kind that hurts.
- 3:39Speaker 1: And then you try to pop it early.
- 3:40Speaker 2: And you can't pop it. I can't pop it. I
- 3:42Speaker 2: try to pop it and then you push too much
- 3:42Speaker 2: and the blood comes.
- 3:43Speaker 1: And you're constantly aware of it. And then I had
- 3:45Speaker 1: one over here the other day and I successfully popped
- 3:47Speaker 1: that one.
- 3:48Speaker 4: Well, you have to be careful, John Jay, because you
- 3:50Speaker 4: tend to get them in your triangle of death.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Which is scary, which is right here.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Oh, that's what that means.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Somebody must have been sick.
- 3:55Speaker 4: Yes.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Why would it pop in a triangle?
- 3:56Speaker 5: Because it could be a staph infection, I think.
- 3:58Speaker 4: Yes, and it can kill you, literally, from getting an infection, like,
- 4:01Speaker 4: straight to your brain. It's called the triangle of death.
- 4:03Speaker 5: Don't do it. It's, like, right here in the middle
- 4:05Speaker 5: of your face.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Right here.
- 4:07Speaker 5: This area.
- 4:07Speaker 3: So if you pop it in that triangle, it could
- 4:09Speaker 3: turn into a staph infection, and that is bad? Yes.
- 4:12Speaker 5: Goes right to your.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Brain i have never heard that except for yesterday i
- 4:15Speaker 1: got a dm on that about the triangle and i
- 4:17Speaker 1: didn't know what they're talking about okay.
- 4:20Speaker 6: So real quick the stuff you're taking again.
- 4:23Speaker 4: Dylan's called what spironolactone the acne girls know exactly what
- 4:28Speaker 4: i'm talking.
- 4:29Speaker 2: About commercial for it's okay.
- 4:31Speaker 6: No this is like one of the things you do
- 4:34Speaker 6: like as a last resort it's kind of like yeah
- 4:36Speaker 6: it's a pill.
- 4:38Speaker 3: But it's not... Do you have to be careful about
- 4:39Speaker 3: the makeup you wear when.
- 4:40Speaker 5: You're on these stuff?
- 4:40Speaker 3: No.
- 4:40Speaker 6: So, like, it's very common with either an Accutane or
- 4:43Speaker 6: an antibiotic that, like, you have to be careful about
- 4:44Speaker 6: drinking or, like, it'll make you peel. But spironolactone is
- 4:48Speaker 6: not like that. I really haven't had too many side effects.
- 4:50Speaker 5: Haven't peeled.
- 4:51Speaker 6: I'm on a pretty low dose. But it hasn't made
- 4:54Speaker 6: me purge, which Accutane made me purge. I got a
- 4:57Speaker 6: whole bunch of acne all over my face.
- 4:59Speaker 5: Purge like food?
- 5:00Speaker 2: Purge, no.
- 5:01Speaker 6: So basically, everything will come to the surface and then.
- 5:05Speaker 5: It'll clear your skin. I've never heard purge like that.
- 5:08Speaker 5: Which is called purging, yes.
- 5:09Speaker 2: I know purge the movie.
- 5:10Speaker 6: I have literally pictures of every single month. It was
- 5:14Speaker 6: so bad all over my cheeks. It hurt so bad.
- 5:17Speaker 6: But then it completely cleared up after.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Are you willing to post these pictures?
- 5:21Speaker 6: I can post my grid of them, yeah.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Well, it'd be interesting to post it, and then we
- 5:24Speaker 1: could tag Spirulina and see if.
- 5:26Speaker 3: They're on it.
- 5:27Speaker 4: Spirulina.
- 5:28Speaker 5: We need to get Spirulina.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Maybe it would have been worth it while you do
- 5:31Speaker 2: commercials for them.
- 5:32Speaker 4: Yeah, that's true.
- 5:33Speaker 6: Well, I don't know if Spironolactone is necessarily a brand.
- 5:36Speaker 6: It might be just like a- The medical term of
- 5:39Speaker 6: the medication. It's like RX, yeah, like the medication term,
- 5:41Speaker 6: but it could be.
- 5:42Speaker 5: Maybe it is, actually.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Okay, here's the big question, though. Kyle, can you say it?
- 5:46Speaker 1: No.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Say it. Try it.
- 5:47Speaker 5: Say it again. Spironolactone.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Spironolactone.
- 5:50Speaker 5: There you go.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Rich, what's wrong with your face?
- 5:53Speaker 3: Totally different story. I came home from a little trip.
- 5:56Speaker 3: John Jay and I flew out of town. I came
- 5:58Speaker 3: back and I was having lunch with my lovely bride, Stacy.
- 6:01Speaker 3: And she's like, oh, my God, what did you do?
- 6:04Speaker 3: Does it hurt? I'm like, what are you talking about?
- 6:06Speaker 3: She's like, your face. It is all swollen on this side.
- 6:09Speaker 3: What happened? I'm like, nothing. She's like, does it hurt?
- 6:12Speaker 3: I'm like, no. She's like, go look at yourself. Go
- 6:16Speaker 3: look in the mirror. You're all, you're like puffy on
- 6:18Speaker 3: the left side where your eye is. So I go
- 6:21Speaker 3: walk from the kitchen table into the bathroom and it
- 6:25Speaker 3: just looks like my face to me. I don't know
- 6:26Speaker 3: what she was seeing.
- 6:27Speaker 2: I see it every day.
- 6:30Speaker 5: Generally alarmed.
- 6:34Speaker 3: And she called in my son, Christopher, and he's like, Yeah,
- 6:36Speaker 3: it does kind of look messed up. Like, there's nothing wrong.
- 6:39Speaker 3: It's just how my face is. So that's my face story.
- 6:42Speaker 2: You need Spirulactin.
- 6:43Speaker 4: It's just your face?
- 6:46Speaker 3: That's so funny. There was no answer to that, by
- 6:48Speaker 3: the way.
- 6:48Speaker 2: We just put a picture up on Instagram of your face.
- 6:52Speaker 2: What's wrong with Rich's face?
- 6:53Speaker 5: Does this look okay to everyone?
- 6:55Speaker 3: She asked me if I was okay, if it hurt.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Well, you know those things where you say, can you
- 6:59Speaker 1: spot the difference? What's wrong with Rich's face? Just let
- 7:02Speaker 1: people go. That's what they say.
- 7:04Speaker 3: I didn't think about it until I was doing our
- 7:07Speaker 3: show prep and I'm like, I wonder what that was
- 7:08Speaker 3: all about because all I did was come home.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Here's the post.
- 7:13Speaker 1: The post is a picture of your face. And then
- 7:15Speaker 1: you can swipe. So the first post is like, what's
- 7:17Speaker 1: wrong with your face? And then people comment. And then
- 7:20Speaker 1: swipe and it'll be like, nothing, this is his face.
- 7:23Speaker 1: But you're going to read all the comments.
- 7:25Speaker 5: Take a guess what's wrong with his face.
- 7:27Speaker 3: She's going, did you get punched? Did you get hit?
- 7:29Speaker 3: Did you run into something? No.
- 7:30Speaker 4: Was she just staring at you for a long time? Because,
- 7:32Speaker 4: you know, sometimes when you're looking at someone for a
- 7:34Speaker 4: while and you're like, ugh.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Yeah, she's like, what have I done?
- 7:37Speaker 1: What?
- 7:38Speaker 5: She's like, ew, check your face.
- 7:40Speaker 2: What have I done? She goes outside and you just.
- 7:43Speaker 5: Hear, no!
- 7:45Speaker 3: It's like being gone for a day or so for
- 7:47Speaker 3: her to figure it out. Poor dear.
- 7:50Speaker 5: It's your husband, though. Exactly, which is why she was
- 7:53Speaker 5: caught off guard.
- 7:55Speaker 2: That's our face break. That's all about our faces.
