- 1:10Speaker 1: With that being said, let's hear a synopsis for episode three,
- 1:13Speaker 1: The McMurray Curse. The McMurray's gear up to host an
- 1:16Speaker 1: important community gala. Isabel must spif up the barn and
- 1:20Speaker 1: her son Cash to impress judges. Missy is anxious about
- 1:23Speaker 1: returning to trick riding. This episode opens on sweeping ranch
- 1:27Speaker 1: scenes and we see Cash looking at his new bull bullet.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Isabel says he's just on loan for two months for
- 1:34Speaker 1: him to practice in ride Tough in Valeria, and Cash
- 1:37Speaker 1: wants to check out the bull, but Isabel says it's
- 1:39Speaker 1: fence spending time for Tough and Valeria, and Missy says,
- 1:42Speaker 1: you've got to do drills first before you can get
- 1:44Speaker 1: on that bull. Isabel asks if Cash has his jacket
- 1:47Speaker 1: ready for the BRL gala, and we find out he
- 1:50Speaker 1: hasn't even bothered to RSVP yet. Apparently it's the who's
- 1:54Speaker 1: Who of Rodeo the Bull Riders League Gala. Cash does
- 2:00Speaker 1: not want to go, but it's a game they need
- 2:02Speaker 1: to play for him to score well, Isabel says, and
- 2:03Speaker 1: she's going to try to get Hank to get him
- 2:05Speaker 1: a late RSVP. Cash is annoyed, but comes around and
- 2:09Speaker 1: says he'll find his good jacket, He'll do the damn
- 2:11Speaker 1: drills and then he's going to ride. Spoiler alert Cash
- 2:15Speaker 1: never gets on a bull. In this episode, Missy and
- 2:18Speaker 1: Isabel look over the bull and Missy says it's the
- 2:21Speaker 1: best way to keep him safe, and I assume she
- 2:23Speaker 1: means by having a good bull for him to practice
- 2:27Speaker 1: on and get him confidence. Tough approaches Cash while he's
- 2:31Speaker 1: looking for his jacket in his room and he wants
- 2:33Speaker 1: to talk about val and Tucker Clark, and we finally
- 2:35Speaker 1: hear Tough say Julian's name for the first time in
- 2:39Speaker 1: three episodes. Touff is super suspicious of Valerie, but Cash
- 2:43Speaker 1: blows him off and says, you're just pissed about the
- 2:45Speaker 1: co foreman situation. Missy's watching bull riding footage and she
- 2:49Speaker 1: gets a phone call from Susan from Frontier, who wants
- 2:52Speaker 1: to incorporate Missy's trick writing into a new campaign. They're
- 2:55Speaker 1: going to send a camera crew. Missy hasn't ridden since
- 2:58Speaker 1: Austin's death. We see her digging through her closet for
- 3:02Speaker 1: her writing shoes, and she has a flashback of her
- 3:04Speaker 1: last ride, and then Austin's last ride, and then the
- 3:08Speaker 1: moment she came home alone the night of Austin's last ride,
- 3:11Speaker 1: sobbing in comes Valeria to interrupt this memory to say
- 3:16Speaker 1: that isabel wants to see them in the barn. Isabelle
- 3:18Speaker 1: tells the team that the venue for the BRL is
- 3:20Speaker 1: out of commission and she's offered up the ranch and
- 3:22Speaker 1: this barn for the gala. No one thinks they could
- 3:25Speaker 1: make it happen, but Isabelle, and there is a ton
- 3:28Speaker 1: of work to be done in this barn, and we
- 3:30Speaker 1: get our opening title scene, and the next scene, Tough
- 3:32Speaker 1: and Valeria are prying wood from the windows. They're clearing
- 3:35Speaker 1: things out of the barn, and Missy is remembering the
- 3:37Speaker 1: last time she was in the barn, which was her
- 3:39Speaker 1: wedding to Austin, and everyone has a little bit of
- 3:41Speaker 1: a moment remembering that evening. Cash says he and Missy
- 3:45Speaker 1: need to train. Apparently that's more important than this gala,
- 3:48Speaker 1: which is in forty eight hours, and Tough in Valeria
- 3:50Speaker 1: approach a couple of ranch hands who are giving each
- 3:53Speaker 1: other a hard time, including I believe our unnamed ranch
- 3:56Speaker 1: hand from episode one. Tough tells them about the gala
- 3:59Speaker 1: and recruits them to help, but they also talk about
- 4:02Speaker 1: needing to prep for the incoming herd of sheep, and
- 4:04Speaker 1: there's some discussion about how their current pasture won't work,
- 4:08Speaker 1: and Valeria and the ranch hands argue about the best
- 4:10Speaker 1: place to place the sheep and how to make it work.
- 4:12Speaker 1: And we have ranch hand with a mustache who's kind
- 4:15Speaker 1: of a pain in the ass, and this is the
- 4:16Speaker 1: point at which Tough informs them of Valeria's promotion, and
- 4:19Speaker 1: mustached ranch hand is none too impressed. Valaria mentioned she'll
- 4:24Speaker 1: needs help, but Tough cuts her off and sends the
- 4:26Speaker 1: ranch hands off to the bar and to help, and
- 4:28Speaker 1: Valaria tells Tough he can't undermind her, and he calls
- 4:30Speaker 1: her for going out the night before, but he doesn't
- 4:33Speaker 1: actually cop to seeing her in the bar. Valaria lies
- 4:36Speaker 1: and says she went to bed early, and then she says,
- 4:39Speaker 1: we're going to need to trust each other if this
- 4:41Speaker 1: is going to work. Okay. Missy's watching her suicide drag
- 4:44Speaker 1: video again while Cash trains on a fake ball and
- 4:48Speaker 1: Cash gives her a hard time for not paying attention
- 4:52Speaker 1: while he's training, and Missy asks Cash how he was
- 4:55Speaker 1: able to start riding again after losing Austin, and she
- 5:00Speaker 1: tells him about her trick writing promotion with Frontier and
- 5:03Speaker 1: Cash tells her it's time to get back on the
- 5:06Speaker 1: horse back in the barn, and they've made some serious progress.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Hank arrives and his oh God, sends me a little bit.
- 5:12Speaker 1: He was not prepared for the mess. But Hank, you
- 5:14Speaker 1: should have seen it a few hours ago. The chair
- 5:16Speaker 1: of the galu will be there in an hour, and
- 5:18Speaker 1: the chair is Barbara Sutton, and this name startles isabel
- 5:22Speaker 1: Apparently she and Isabel used to be close. Isabelle tells
- 5:25Speaker 1: him they need to hustle to be ready in an hour,
- 5:27Speaker 1: and Valaria kicks the crew into high gear. Back in
- 5:29Speaker 1: the rain, Cash is helping Missy put on her trick
- 5:32Speaker 1: riding shoes and he has her visualize her performance. And hey,
- 5:36Speaker 1: Cash is a pretty good coach. Here we see Missy
- 5:39Speaker 1: on her horse. She tries the trick and she bails.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Side note here, if Missy's trick involves her hanging off
- 5:46Speaker 1: of the side of the horse with only one foot
- 5:48Speaker 1: holding her into place, shouldn't she be wearing a helmet.
- 5:51Speaker 1: It's not as cute, but she has a bit of
- 5:54Speaker 1: a panic attack and she says she keeps picturing Austin's
- 5:57Speaker 1: face that day. We cut to a commercial which happens
- 6:00Speaker 1: to be a preview for the Wedding Cottage, which, by
- 6:02Speaker 1: the way, if you're not following Aaron Krackaut on Instagram,
- 6:05Speaker 1: you should fix that right now because her behind the
- 6:07Speaker 1: scenes videos with her and Brendan Penny prepping for this
- 6:10Speaker 1: movie are very fun and this movie looks pretty cute.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Back from the commercial, Cash is telling Missy she's got
- 6:16Speaker 1: the yips, which is a term that athletes use when
- 6:19Speaker 1: they just all of a sudden can't do the thing
- 6:21Speaker 1: that he used to be able to do. And he says,
- 6:24Speaker 1: you've just got to get back out there, and she
- 6:25Speaker 1: says she did get back out there, and Cash says,
- 6:29Speaker 1: you don't get confident about something by thinking about it,
- 6:31Speaker 1: and Missy wonders where he's heard that. Cash says, that's
- 6:34Speaker 1: something awesome used to say, but Missy says, no, I
- 6:37Speaker 1: taught him that. Missy's frustrated with herself for saying that
- 6:40Speaker 1: she could do this. But I think we're all yelling
- 6:42Speaker 1: at the screen right now because trying once is it enough? Missy,
- 6:46Speaker 1: if you're the one who's going to say you don't
- 6:48Speaker 1: get confident by thinking about it, and you wouldn't let
- 6:51Speaker 1: Cash give up after one try, get back on the horse.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Isabel's approaching them, and she looks nervous, and Missy says
- 6:58Speaker 1: they were just about to go do but Isabel needs
- 7:01Speaker 1: Cash and Missy with her. When Barbara Sutton arrives, Isabelle
- 7:05Speaker 1: talks about Barbara Sutton's boots and her perfect hair, and
- 7:08Speaker 1: it's hard to tell if it's jealousy or anger that's
- 7:13Speaker 1: in her voice. Apparently, Barbara's husband is Joe Sutton, who
- 7:17Speaker 1: is nicknamed the Glue and is the only man to
- 7:20Speaker 1: beat Papa McMurray's records. He's a judge now and Cash
- 7:23Speaker 1: needs to win him over. The Suttons arrive and Barbara
- 7:26Speaker 1: Sutton steps out and she is as beautiful and polished
- 7:29Speaker 1: as isabel had said she would be. Barbara and Joe
- 7:32Speaker 1: greet Isabelle. They ask about the kids. Cash and Missy
- 7:36Speaker 1: greet Barbara and Joe, and Barbara seems a little bit
- 7:39Speaker 1: surprised that Cash is writing bulls. Isabelle takes them to
- 7:42Speaker 1: check out the venue, which is hugely improved, but Barbara
- 7:45Speaker 1: is not impressed yet again, should have seen it a
- 7:48Speaker 1: few hours ago, babs. Isabel swears it'll be fine, and
- 7:51Speaker 1: Barbara asks if isabel is sure about this, by which
- 7:53Speaker 1: she means Cash writing bulls. We know she's not, but
- 7:57Speaker 1: of course, she says, nothing would make me prouder. Barbara
- 7:59Speaker 1: reminded her how hard the rodeo life is and yeah,
- 8:02Speaker 1: Bab's duh. Whatever happened between these women, there's still tension.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Barbara's reputation is on the line here with this event,
- 8:11Speaker 1: and she makes sure Isabel knows it. Don't blow it,
- 8:14Speaker 1: Isabelle if they go, and Missy says Cash seemed to
- 8:17Speaker 1: make a good impression on Joe, but Isabel isn't impressed,
- 8:20Speaker 1: as Barbara is the decision maker in that family. Isabel
- 8:23Speaker 1: wants to prep Cash for the gala with some talking
- 8:26Speaker 1: points and says the family name might be working against
- 8:29Speaker 1: you in this case. You can't just lean on Vienna McMurray.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Val approaches tough and these two are still butting heads
- 8:35Speaker 1: and tough. Real lo blow here says you didn't earn
- 8:38Speaker 1: this role, and the guys don't think so either. In
- 8:41Speaker 1: the kitchen, Cash isn't interested in prepping for the gala,
- 8:43Speaker 1: but Isabelle reminds him it's about more than the writing.
- 8:46Speaker 1: You need to look good and sound good on camera
- 8:48Speaker 1: if you're going to get a sponsor. Missy agrees, and
- 8:50Speaker 1: Cash shortsightedly asks whose side she's on, And a reminder here, Cash,
- 8:55Speaker 1: being on your side doesn't mean blindly agreeing with everything
- 8:57Speaker 1: you say. Cash thinks they want him to be like Austin.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Isabel just wants him polished, including his dance in Cash
- 9:05Speaker 1: treds to argue that Missy needs to be prepping for
- 9:07Speaker 1: her ride and she can't be helping Cash, but Isabel's
- 9:09Speaker 1: happy to do it, and Cash bounces because he needs air.
- 9:12Speaker 1: And there's no conversation about this in this moment. But
- 9:15Speaker 1: when Cash talks about her trick writing, Isabel kind of
- 9:18Speaker 1: looks up and looks at Missy, but they never have
- 9:20Speaker 1: a discussion about it. And I wonder if that's something
- 9:23Speaker 1: that was cut, because it seems like that's something the
- 9:26Speaker 1: two of them might have been able to talk about.
- 9:29Speaker 1: We cut to a commercial. Back from the commercial and
- 9:33Speaker 1: Julian in Tough for chatting during Golden Hour about Toughs
- 9:37Speaker 1: issues with Valeria. Julian asks about the gala, and Julian
- 9:41Speaker 1: seems to be hinting at an invite and Tough shuts
- 9:44Speaker 1: it down quickly by saying the invite list is tight.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Julian insists that's not what he was mentioning, but it
- 9:50Speaker 1: leads him to ask if Touff has ever brought a
- 9:52Speaker 1: guy around, and Tough doesn't directly answer this question, but
- 9:55Speaker 1: he says he's been out since he was seventeen, but
- 9:58Speaker 1: this is a good question. Has Tough brought men around
- 10:03Speaker 1: his family? The answer seems to think, like, you know,
- 10:06Speaker 1: my family's known for a long time, but we don't know.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Missy's in the stables when isabel approaches her, and Missy
- 10:13Speaker 1: asks for the scoop on Isabelle and Barbara. Isabelle brushes
- 10:17Speaker 1: it off, saying they were best friends who drifted apart,
- 10:19Speaker 1: and Missy isn't buying it. She pushes back, saying it
- 10:21Speaker 1: seems like there's more to it than that. Isabel seems bitter.
- 10:24Speaker 1: She says Barbara has her husband and her perfect kids,
- 10:27Speaker 1: and maybe she was afraid she would catch my misfortune.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Missy doesn't seem like that's the case, but isabel says
- 10:34Speaker 1: superstition is a powerful thing. It was a strong theme
- 10:39Speaker 1: in this episode, and on the way out, Missy grabs
- 10:41Speaker 1: her writing shoes. In town, Missy finds Hank and Me
- 10:45Speaker 1: and Jeanine and Gus sitting together having coffee. Hank asks
- 10:49Speaker 1: about the barn in progress, and I get the impression
- 10:52Speaker 1: that Hank is sweet on Isabelle. Maybe there was a
- 10:56Speaker 1: Hank in Isabelle pre Isabelle's marriage. Maybe he's just a
- 11:01Speaker 1: great friend. I don't know. Janine has to comment that
- 11:05Speaker 1: the gala will be a little more rustic than usual,
- 11:07Speaker 1: and her brand new dress from New York will be
- 11:09Speaker 1: wasted on the barn, and she can't help but let
- 11:12Speaker 1: Missy know that Gus is her date. But Gus jumps
- 11:15Speaker 1: right in, quick to comment that Janine and Hank invited
- 11:17Speaker 1: him to the gala. As Missy leaves, Gus gets up
- 11:20Speaker 1: and says he hopes that no one will be uncomfortable
- 11:23Speaker 1: with him there, and Missy is ever the diplomat, saying,
- 11:25Speaker 1: of course you should be at the gala. Valeria is
- 11:28Speaker 1: out in the pasture and appears to be setting up
- 11:30Speaker 1: the solar water pump she had mentioned earlier. Cash rides
- 11:33Speaker 1: up and says she should let a ranchand help, and
- 11:35Speaker 1: val says those are tough guys, not her. She wants
- 11:38Speaker 1: to prove she can get the job done. Cash's advice
- 11:40Speaker 1: is don't try so hard to get a job you
- 11:42Speaker 1: already have, but at no point do Cash should get
- 11:45Speaker 1: off his horse and offer to help her. When Valeria
- 11:49Speaker 1: says his advice is terrible, he comments that he can't win,
- 11:52Speaker 1: and Valeria points out that the entire family is doing
- 11:56Speaker 1: this for him. The Gala, Missy coach she Isabelle making
- 12:01Speaker 1: tough co form and to open up time for him
- 12:03Speaker 1: to be Cash's bullfighter, and val says that looks like
- 12:07Speaker 1: winning to me. I have a question here in this
- 12:11Speaker 1: moment that'll get answered later, but at this point, I'm
- 12:13Speaker 1: wondering has Ryde's music budget run dry, because all I've
- 12:17Speaker 1: heard in this episode so far is instrumental background music.
- 12:21Speaker 1: In the kitchen, Isabelle's having coffee. When Cash offers to
- 12:23Speaker 1: go over Galliprep. He is waving the white flag. Isabel
- 12:27Speaker 1: takes this time to remind him how hard it was
- 12:29Speaker 1: for her to get that bull for him, and I
- 12:30Speaker 1: don't think she means how hard it was financially, and
- 12:34Speaker 1: Cash says, I'm here and I'm ready to work. Prep me. Outside,
- 12:37Speaker 1: Missy and Kash are talking sitting in some porch chairs,
- 12:41Speaker 1: and Missy says isabel isn't trying to get Cash to
- 12:44Speaker 1: be like Austin. Austin was different but not better. Cash
- 12:48Speaker 1: comments on Missy's new writing shoes, and Missy says the
- 12:50Speaker 1: old ones were bad luck. Missy tells Cash that Austin
- 12:54Speaker 1: called her his good luck charm, and she seems to
- 12:56Speaker 1: be feeling guilty about Austin's death. She says they had
- 12:59Speaker 1: been snippy with you each other for several months leading
- 13:01Speaker 1: up to his death, and Cash doesn't want to let
- 13:04Speaker 1: her think that, but Missy reminds him that Austin saw
- 13:07Speaker 1: them hugging right before he rode and what if he
- 13:09Speaker 1: thought something was going on. Cash doesn't have a chance
- 13:11Speaker 1: to respond to this because Frontier has arrived, but before
- 13:14Speaker 1: Missy can go off to meet them, Cash stops her
- 13:17Speaker 1: and looks her in the eye, letting her know that
- 13:19Speaker 1: she's got this. And once again I say these two
- 13:23Speaker 1: have by your chemistry. I think Wendy might be team Gus,
- 13:27Speaker 1: but I'm team Cash all the way. The Frontier team
- 13:30Speaker 1: has arrived in a Frontier wrapped bmwsuv and the rep
- 13:34Speaker 1: says they just need a few shots. Missy tries to
- 13:37Speaker 1: delay the riding by offering a tour of the ranch,
- 13:40Speaker 1: but they cut to the chase. Susan and the crew
- 13:43Speaker 1: watch Missy ride, but she doesn't do the trick. Missy
- 13:46Speaker 1: tells Susan she's not mentally ready for it, and Susan
- 13:48Speaker 1: pushes back basically threatens her ambassadorship if she can't get
- 13:52Speaker 1: it together. She says she's seen JB fire people for
- 13:56Speaker 1: less and just spitballing here. Missy's come back as a
- 14:01Speaker 1: trick writer could be a great long form story, Susan,
- 14:05Speaker 1: so as someone who knows nothing about trick writing, is
- 14:08Speaker 1: there not some interim trick Missy could be writing before
- 14:11Speaker 1: going straight into the terrifyingly named suicide drag. We cut
- 14:17Speaker 1: to commercial and we come back to Valeria's still working
- 14:20Speaker 1: on the water lines, when this time Missy rides up
- 14:22Speaker 1: and tells her about the mess with Frontier. Valeria is
- 14:26Speaker 1: proud of her for not doing what she's not ready for,
- 14:28Speaker 1: and once again she's asked if she's working alone, and
- 14:31Speaker 1: Missy says, you don't have to prove anything, and Valeria
- 14:34Speaker 1: points out the hypocrisy in that Missy is still wearing
- 14:37Speaker 1: the old writing shoes over her shoulder and val asks
- 14:39Speaker 1: about them, and Missy says she thinks they're bad luck,
- 14:42Speaker 1: and Val doesn't say anything. She just picks up her
- 14:45Speaker 1: shovel and starts digging in. For a second, I thought
- 14:47Speaker 1: she was ignoring Missy's comment, but no, she is being
- 14:51Speaker 1: a good friend. She's dug a hole for the shoes.
- 14:53Speaker 1: They toss them in, stomp some dirt over them, and
- 14:56Speaker 1: move on. We cut to the gala and where did
- 14:59Speaker 1: that she Lear and the barn come from? The barn
- 15:01Speaker 1: looks fantastic income Cash and Isabelle and she's quizzing him
- 15:06Speaker 1: about the big names at the gala, and Cash seems
- 15:08Speaker 1: to really have got this. He joins some dudes at
- 15:11Speaker 1: a bar table while Barbara approaches Isabelle and lets her
- 15:14Speaker 1: know she did good making the barn look amazing. She
- 15:17Speaker 1: says she would have invited her last year, but she
- 15:20Speaker 1: thought Isabelle wouldn't have been interested, and Isabel agrees, but
- 15:24Speaker 1: she says that she should have invited her anyway. Isabel
- 15:28Speaker 1: says writing is cash decision, and she supports him no
- 15:31Speaker 1: matter what kind of going back to Barbara's earlier comment
- 15:34Speaker 1: about is she okay with Cash writing? And we've been
- 15:38Speaker 1: doing this since episode one. It is a terrible position
- 15:41Speaker 1: that isabell is in. Of course, she does not want
- 15:43Speaker 1: her son writing after losing her husband and her son
- 15:47Speaker 1: two bulls, but she's gonna do the supportive mom thing.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Cash comes over and asks Barbara to dance. After having
- 15:55Speaker 1: heard that Joe doesn't dance, head off to the dance
- 15:58Speaker 1: floor at income Tough and Missy and they spot us.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Tuff says Janine is thirstier than a jack rabbit in
- 16:04Speaker 1: the Mahabi. Tuff's got some great one liners when it
- 16:07Speaker 1: comes to Janine, and Tough goes off to get them
- 16:08Speaker 1: drinks and Gus and Janine approach Missy. Gus is this
- 16:13Speaker 1: close to complimenting Missy, but Jeane interrupts his you look
- 16:17Speaker 1: with like you're having fun. Cash while dancing with Barbara,
- 16:20Speaker 1: Clock's Missy talking to Gus, and we cut back to Janine,
- 16:24Speaker 1: who can't help but comment that she was last year
- 16:27Speaker 1: for Missy's wedding, reminding Gus that Missy was married. Maybe
- 16:33Speaker 1: that she's used goods and Gus as kind as can be,
- 16:37Speaker 1: saying he bets it was a wonderful event. Janine almost
- 16:40Speaker 1: compliments on how the gala has turned out, and then
- 16:42Speaker 1: turns to Gus and says imagine what we could do
- 16:44Speaker 1: to the main house with a smidge of effort, we
- 16:47Speaker 1: asks Missy, and Janine says, you never know what the
- 16:50Speaker 1: future holds, and to this I've written in all caps,
- 16:54Speaker 1: don't do it, Gus. Janine drags him off, and Gus
- 16:58Speaker 1: asks Missy to gave him a dance, but it really
- 17:01Speaker 1: sounds like he's just asking her to save him. Valeria
- 17:05Speaker 1: is still working and it seems like she's finally finished
- 17:08Speaker 1: the water trough as the sun is going down, and
- 17:10Speaker 1: she has a little bit of a moment where it
- 17:12Speaker 1: seems like she's pretty proud of herself as well. She
- 17:14Speaker 1: should be back at the Galla. Cash and Missy are
- 17:17Speaker 1: dancing and Missy is just waiting to get fired from Frontier,
- 17:21Speaker 1: and Cash tells her that, look, I was the screw
- 17:24Speaker 1: up growing up. Austin was the success and I was
- 17:26Speaker 1: the screwup, and I started to believe what people said
- 17:30Speaker 1: about me, and that she needs to get out of
- 17:32Speaker 1: her own head. Sometimes bad things just happen, and they
- 17:38Speaker 1: have a nice moment. You know, I'm a big fan
- 17:40Speaker 1: of this ship as it were, But then Cash stumbles
- 17:44Speaker 1: bumps into someone who then drops a tray of glasses
- 17:48Speaker 1: and Bolo tied Doo says, I told you these McMurray's
- 17:51Speaker 1: were cursed, and someone else chimes in within and out
- 17:56Speaker 1: of the saddle. Cash calls him on it are you
- 17:58Speaker 1: talking about us? And he gives a very nice speech
- 18:01Speaker 1: about how the McMurray support each other, they work hard
- 18:04Speaker 1: in the face of tragedy, and the word he would
- 18:07Speaker 1: use to describe their family as lucky. The McMurray's all
- 18:10Speaker 1: walk off except for Isabel, to whom Barbara asks if
- 18:14Speaker 1: she's going to say something, and Isabel says Cash has
- 18:17Speaker 1: said it all, and we cut to commercial. We come
- 18:21Speaker 1: back to the gala, having mostly cleared out, and Isabel's
- 18:24Speaker 1: at the bar pouring a shot when Barbara approaches, saying
- 18:27Speaker 1: it was one of the most exciting galas ever. She
- 18:30Speaker 1: says Cash was impressive, and Isabel agrees that they got
- 18:33Speaker 1: lucky with their kids. Barbara says she misses their friendship
- 18:37Speaker 1: and that Isabel's pain scared her and she didn't know
- 18:41Speaker 1: how to be there for her. She says she'll be
- 18:43Speaker 1: there for her now, but she also does caution that
- 18:46Speaker 1: she doesn't know how much help she's going to be
- 18:50Speaker 1: in the face of the BRL because those dudes are
- 18:55Speaker 1: not a fan of Cash. Isabelle agrees that she's miss
- 18:58Speaker 1: Barbara too, and it seems like these two have reconnected
- 19:00Speaker 1: and developed a little bit of a friendship again. Outside
- 19:04Speaker 1: under the Moon, Cash is approached by Isabelle and all
- 19:09Speaker 1: he has to say about the evening is so that happened,
- 19:12Speaker 1: and she says, I was trying so hard to put
- 19:14Speaker 1: on a show and it wasn't fair all the pressure
- 19:17Speaker 1: that I put on you. And Cash starts to talk
- 19:20Speaker 1: about the BRL, but Isabelle interrupts and she says, you
- 19:23Speaker 1: thought I was trying to push you to be more
- 19:25Speaker 1: like Austin, but you are just like your dad, and
- 19:28Speaker 1: your dad was a champion, and I like this full
- 19:32Speaker 1: circle moment. Here, Missy and Gus are sitting on a
- 19:35Speaker 1: fence chatting and Missy asks about Janine, but Gus says
- 19:37Speaker 1: she's not his type. Missy plays a little trick on Gus.
- 19:42Speaker 1: She shows on the pleats and says that the fact
- 19:44Speaker 1: that it's faded is a sign of extra thick wool
- 19:47Speaker 1: next shearing season, and Gus goes with it for a
- 19:49Speaker 1: minute and then he gets the joke and she talks
- 19:52Speaker 1: about her failed trick writing again, and Gus says, you
- 19:56Speaker 1: can't force something you're not ready for. But Missy gets
- 19:59Speaker 1: to the heart of it that it's unfair that some
- 20:02Speaker 1: people will never ride again. So not only does she
- 20:06Speaker 1: feel guilty that she thinks she somehow I had a
- 20:09Speaker 1: hand indirectly in Austin's death, but she also feels guilty
- 20:14Speaker 1: that she has the opportunity to get back on a
- 20:17Speaker 1: horse when Austin will never get back on a bull.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Gus says that from what he's heard, he thinks Austin
- 20:22Speaker 1: would have wanted her to keep living her life. And
- 20:26Speaker 1: I thought really hard about it in this moment, and
- 20:28Speaker 1: I I don't know what we know of these McMurray brothers.
- 20:36Speaker 1: I think Cash might be the better man of the
- 20:38Speaker 1: two of them. I don't know. All I'm saying is
- 20:40Speaker 1: maybe I'm going to need some more flashback scenes so
- 20:42Speaker 1: I learn more about Austin. Gus is a gentleman and
- 20:45Speaker 1: offers Missy his jacket. We cut back to Cash, who's
- 20:50Speaker 1: all alone and incomes Valaria after her long day in
- 20:53Speaker 1: the pasture. They joke around for a minute, and then
- 20:56Speaker 1: Valeria admits she should have taken Cash's advice and asks
- 20:59Speaker 1: for how well He tells her all that is a
- 21:01Speaker 1: spectacular performance at the gala, including his waltz with Barbara,
- 21:08Speaker 1: and Valeria insists that she has got to see this
- 21:10Speaker 1: and from the moment the moment she rode up on
- 21:14Speaker 1: her own to Cash outside by himself, I'm wondering if
- 21:17Speaker 1: this relationship is going somewhere, and I'm not a fan
- 21:21Speaker 1: of this at all. Instead of walt saying, Cash does
- 21:25Speaker 1: a ridiculous dance and Valeria flosses and they're joking around,
- 21:29Speaker 1: we see Tough in the stables looking for Valerie. He's
- 21:31Speaker 1: come to apologize, but he comes across a horse. I
- 21:34Speaker 1: don't know exactly what's happening here, but he says, what
- 21:37Speaker 1: happened here? And then he enters the horse's pen and
- 21:39Speaker 1: he finds an envelope with multiple ideas for Valeria. How
- 21:44Speaker 1: did I get into the stable? I don't know. Seems
- 21:46Speaker 1: like a terrible hiding place. Tuff opens the door to
- 21:49Speaker 1: the stables and he sees Cash and Valeria dancing, but
- 21:52Speaker 1: he backs away before he can be seen he's not
- 21:56Speaker 1: ready to confront her about this, and also is he
- 21:59Speaker 1: seeing something in this dancing scene? They're now dancing arm
- 22:04Speaker 1: in arm. It's not a romantic scene, but they are
- 22:09Speaker 1: in each other's arms. They don't know. A scene from
- 22:14Speaker 1: next week also leads me to believe that they're building
- 22:16Speaker 1: up to a playful little romance between these two. In
- 22:20Speaker 1: the morning, we hear mooing cows. We see Missy lacing
- 22:23Speaker 1: up her shoes, and here we get some good music
- 22:26Speaker 1: to Neil Towns, the Girl who Didn't Care, And there
- 22:29Speaker 1: Missy does this suicide drag and shouldn't this be supervised?
- 22:33Speaker 1: This feels like shouldn't swim alone, you shouldn't trick ride alone.
- 22:36Speaker 1: But we see Cash looking on from a balcony, and
- 22:39Speaker 1: that's the end of our episode. We do get scenes
- 22:41Speaker 1: from the next week in which Tough does confront Valeria.
- 22:45Speaker 1: We see Cash and Valeria joking around. I want to
- 22:48Speaker 1: call it a golf cart. I know it's not a
- 22:49Speaker 1: golf cart, but they're ranch cart that they used to
- 22:52Speaker 1: get around. So now it's time to talk about who
- 22:54Speaker 1: we're riding for this week, and I'm gonna go with Cash,
- 22:58Speaker 1: who in this episode was solid as a rock for Missy.
- 23:02Speaker 1: He was the support she needed when she needed him.
- 23:06Speaker 1: He did the work to prep for the gallow, which
- 23:08Speaker 1: quite frankly, was in his own best interest, but he
- 23:12Speaker 1: thought of it as doing it for his mom. He
- 23:14Speaker 1: stood his ground and supported his family when the family
- 23:17Speaker 1: name was on the line. So I'm writing for Cash
- 23:20Speaker 1: this week. But but Cash, I'm going to have to
- 23:24Speaker 1: take it back if you end up with Valeria. Okay, okay.
- 23:30Speaker 1: If you missed yesterday's episode, we pulled an old episode
- 23:34Speaker 1: from the vault and never before heard on the main
- 23:36Speaker 1: feed review of Winter and Veil starring Tyler Hines and
- 23:40Speaker 1: Lazy Shabert, so give that one a listen. And we
- 23:43Speaker 1: had some more and never before heard episodes coming your
- 23:46Speaker 1: way this summer, so that's something to get excited about too.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Wendy will be back next week, so don't worry more
- 23:54Speaker 1: of our fun banter. We'll return to the podcast next week.
