- 2:17Speaker 3: think these are pretty straight on, but I'll get your
- 2:20Speaker 3: guys' take on it here and we'll have some fun.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Yeah, it's kind of cool hearing hot takes from someone
- 2:24Speaker 2: who grew up in this area.
- 2:26Speaker 5: Angie grew up in Las Vegas.
- 2:27Speaker 2: I grew up in Minneapolis, So someone who's been around
- 2:30Speaker 2: this area their whole life.
- 2:31Speaker 5: It'll be kind of fun to hear these hot takes.
- 2:33Speaker 2: I'd be curious to see for whoever's listening if you
- 2:36Speaker 2: agree with Alisha's hot takes. If you agree, you can
- 2:39Speaker 2: text us call us at seven oh one two eight
- 2:41Speaker 2: zero one nine eight seven. Alicia, I give us your
- 2:44Speaker 2: first hot take from the Fargo Hot Take Hottie.
- 2:47Speaker 3: All right, men will wear jeans, a flannel and a
- 2:52Speaker 3: baseball cap to dinner and call that dressing up.
- 2:54Speaker 5: Oh god, if.
- 2:56Speaker 1: You're guilty of this familiar game, that's literally yeah, you've
- 3:01Speaker 1: already acclimated to being a far going because that's.
- 3:04Speaker 7: You all the way.
- 3:05Speaker 2: We do that every Friday in the winter here with
- 3:07Speaker 2: flannel Fridays. Yeah, i'd say that's pretty on the button.
- 3:10Speaker 2: There's probably someone in their car right now who just
- 3:12Speaker 2: nod in went that's my husband, or that's my boyfriend,
- 3:15Speaker 2: or that's what I see when I'm out in the wild.
- 3:18Speaker 5: All right, what's your next take for us?
- 3:19Speaker 3: If you see there's new construction happening, it's probably a
- 3:23Speaker 3: gas station, apartment building, or a car.
- 3:26Speaker 5: Wash, yeah, yep, yep. Or a bank yeah, or a bank.
- 3:30Speaker 7: Oh my gosh. Even just driving to work. There's a
- 3:33Speaker 7: billion banks.
- 3:34Speaker 1: But it wasn't until I moved here that I thought, Oh,
- 3:36Speaker 1: so everyone real obsessed with washing their car, Like, there
- 3:40Speaker 1: are so many car washes.
- 3:42Speaker 2: It might just be all the salt in the winter,
- 3:44Speaker 2: you know, you got to get that off.
- 3:45Speaker 7: Oh that's fair, I suppose.
- 3:46Speaker 5: Yeah, that's right. All right, Alicia, do you have another
- 3:48Speaker 5: one for us?
- 3:50Speaker 3: Fargo women will survive a blizzard but still refuse to
- 3:53Speaker 3: parallel park downtown.
- 3:56Speaker 7: Oh my gosh, am I a Fargo woman?
- 3:58Speaker 6: Now?
- 3:59Speaker 4: I never pay parallel park. I will not do it.
- 4:01Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 4:02Speaker 1: No, if I can't parallel park, if the spot is
- 4:05Speaker 1: that you have to parallel park, I guess I'm not.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Going we uh like, I don't know. If it was
- 4:09Speaker 2: a month ago or whatever. But we had an am
- 4:11Speaker 2: I the problem that involved parallel parking, and there was
- 4:15Speaker 2: just a flood of comments saying, well, I guess I'm
- 4:17Speaker 2: walking five blocks now instead of trying to park in
- 4:20Speaker 2: the spot.
- 4:21Speaker 7: Yeah, absolutely not.
- 4:22Speaker 6: All right?
- 4:22Speaker 4: Yeah, two more for us here at least.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Oh yeah, you'll decide to get off Hinge, which is
- 4:28Speaker 3: a dating app, only to join three months later and
- 4:31Speaker 3: see the same twenty dudes asking for your snapchat.
- 4:35Speaker 4: This one is a little personal for me.
- 4:37Speaker 2: But that one it felt like you felt that. Here
- 4:42Speaker 2: Angie has a boyfriend, Mikey. I happen to be married.
- 4:45Speaker 2: So I do not know what time of the dating
- 4:47Speaker 2: app life, but I'd be willing to guess. Someone once
- 4:50Speaker 2: again just nodded their head in their car, going yeah,
- 4:53Speaker 2: that sounds about right. All right, Alicia, do you have
- 4:55Speaker 2: another one for us?
- 4:56Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 4:56Speaker 3: And the final one here is probably the most relatable
- 4:59Speaker 3: because you can tell how serious a Fargo relationship is
- 5:04Speaker 3: by whether or not they invite you to the family cabin.
- 5:08Speaker 4: Oh sir, yeah.
- 5:10Speaker 1: I've been dying to be invited to someone's family and cabin.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Like I can't be your partner, but I can be
- 5:16Speaker 1: like the fun friend who brings board.
- 5:18Speaker 7: Game board game.
- 5:20Speaker 5: You went with board games, I'm never getting invited.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Well, thank you so much, Alisha for coming to Yeah,
- 5:27Speaker 2: it's been so fun to you know, see your videos
- 5:30Speaker 2: and just the fun your have on there. If people
- 5:32Speaker 2: wanted to follow you or you know, see your your
- 5:35Speaker 2: content on your social media's, where can they track you down?
- 5:37Speaker 5: I'm assuming you know you're kind of on all of them.
- 5:39Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, you can just search Alicia sayak A, l
- 5:43Speaker 3: I C I A, and then sayak is ciak and Alisha.
- 5:47Speaker 2: If you don't know this about Alisha here from Glyndon.
- 5:50Speaker 2: She has over thirty k followers on Instagram. So these
- 5:54Speaker 2: videos are are you're doing something right here?
- 5:56Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 5:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I think I just reached about one hundred and
- 5:58Speaker 3: twenty five k on tick Talk. Look at them trying
- 6:01Speaker 3: to highlight more local businesses here in Fargo Moorhead and
- 6:04Speaker 3: so it's been awesome.
- 6:06Speaker 5: Well, I love that.
- 6:06Speaker 1: We love having a local here and we love having
- 6:09Speaker 1: a hot take hottie.
- 6:10Speaker 2: That's right, Alisia, one more time, thanks for coming in
- 6:12Speaker 2: the building today.
- 6:17Speaker 8: Celebrating life's little victories. Every morning we practice gratitude on
- 6:22Speaker 8: Big ninety eight point seven.
- 6:23Speaker 5: If I could I would keep this feeling in a
- 6:26Speaker 5: plasket job busted out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 6:29Speaker 8: Sure your little victories with us at seven oh one, two,
- 6:32Speaker 8: eight oh one, ninety eight seven, kids, I also needed
- 6:36Speaker 8: to win that day, and.
- 6:37Speaker 2: We have to give Renee a big shout out. She
- 6:39Speaker 2: texted in Her little victory was they spelled her name
- 6:42Speaker 2: correctly on her coffee this morning. Oh that is me, Joe.
- 6:45Speaker 2: I can't spell Renee correctly at all. So I mean
- 6:48Speaker 2: I can because I can see you. But if I
- 6:50Speaker 2: had to guess, i'd be is arena with a little
- 6:53Speaker 2: slash above the A or how do you? How do
- 6:56Speaker 2: you do that? So that's kind of cool. Good for you,
- 6:58Speaker 2: that's an awesome hart to start. Love it, Angie. Do
- 7:00Speaker 2: you have a little victory for me this morning?
- 7:02Speaker 1: I do, and it's not mine. It's Mikey's little victory.
- 7:06Speaker 1: But I feel like his victories are my victories because in.
- 7:08Speaker 7: My head we are one.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Back in like twenty thirteen, he's a teacher and he
- 7:14Speaker 1: had a group of gifted and talented kids that he
- 7:17Speaker 1: was teaching back in twenty thirteen, and they had this
- 7:19Speaker 1: project where they built a weather balloon and sent it
- 7:24Speaker 1: to the edge of space, and then it came back
- 7:27Speaker 1: down and they went and recovered it. They had launched
- 7:30Speaker 1: it in Las Vegas and then recovered it in Arizona.
- 7:34Speaker 1: And one of the kids who was part of that
- 7:37Speaker 1: group who launched the weather balloon reached out to Mikey
- 7:40Speaker 1: to let him know, Hey, thank you for inspiring me,
- 7:44Speaker 1: for being my favorite teacher, for having us do that project.
- 7:48Speaker 1: And next month he's going to start as an engineer
- 7:51Speaker 1: for NASA.
- 7:52Speaker 5: That's pretty bad, age. Yes, that is incredible.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Those are like the teacher moments that are like, Wow, Okay,
- 7:59Speaker 1: I guess I really do be making an impact.
- 8:01Speaker 7: So I want to share that because that's.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Really I think meaningful and I think it's so cool. Yeah,
- 8:07Speaker 1: that something back in twenty thirteen inspired this kid and
- 8:11Speaker 1: now he's going on to work for NASA.
- 8:13Speaker 7: Loves it.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Yeah, And I'm sure most teachers are aware of this,
- 8:15Speaker 2: but I've kind of learned this over the course of
- 8:17Speaker 2: getting into my mid thirties here and a lot. I
- 8:20Speaker 2: have a lot of friends who are teachers or work
- 8:22Speaker 2: within school systems, and being a teacher is kind of
- 8:26Speaker 2: the long game.
- 8:27Speaker 5: Okay, that little Timmy at ten or little Sarah at eleven.
- 8:31Speaker 2: You know, they might not know it then, but one
- 8:33Speaker 2: day twenty twenty five, twenty five years down the road, yeah,
- 8:37Speaker 2: they will appreciate it. So play being teacher can feel
- 8:41Speaker 2: like a bit of a long game for the payoff,
- 8:42Speaker 2: But it's moments like that that are awesome, so rewarding.
- 8:45Speaker 7: What about you, Gabe, what's your little victory? Not something
- 8:51Speaker 7: like that.
- 8:52Speaker 2: No, my little victory today is I hit every green
- 8:57Speaker 2: light on the way to work this morning. I have
- 9:01Speaker 2: to go through like fourteen or fifteen. I did count
- 9:04Speaker 2: one set. I think it's.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Fifteen, and we go down the same road. I will
- 9:08Speaker 1: say that is a victory.
- 9:10Speaker 5: It is so awesome when it happens.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Yeah, when Mikey drives me to work every single morning,
- 9:15Speaker 1: nothing drives him crazier than hitting a red light when
- 9:18Speaker 1: the streets are so empty. He's like, why So, Actually,
- 9:22Speaker 1: when I get home and I tell Mike about this,
- 9:24Speaker 1: he's gonna say that's way more important than that kid
- 9:27Speaker 1: working for NASA.
- 9:28Speaker 5: Either way, it was pretty sweet.
- 9:30Speaker 2: You can almost just hit like cruise control as you know,
- 9:33Speaker 2: to thirty six miles an hour or whatever the speed
- 9:35Speaker 2: limit is there.
- 9:36Speaker 5: But it was pretty sweet.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Have you ever had a subscription that you were paying
- 9:46Speaker 2: for on your phone and just completely forgot about it.
- 9:48Speaker 2: I feel like I see ads all the time to
- 9:51Speaker 2: like clean that up for you if you don't use him.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Quite literally, I have the app for that for cleaning
- 9:57Speaker 1: that up, because I have been screwed over several times
- 10:01Speaker 1: on subscriptions taking money out of my account and I
- 10:04Speaker 1: didn't realize I had that.
- 10:05Speaker 5: Yeah, I just got bit the other day.
- 10:07Speaker 7: What was it.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Yeah, So when I when I moved here from Iowa, right,
- 10:11Speaker 2: we had obviously all our electronical devices that you need
- 10:15Speaker 2: to put your address in, like your TV. Yeah, we
- 10:18Speaker 2: had an Iowa address on them. And when we moved here,
- 10:20Speaker 2: I was like, what the heck, I'm trying to watch
- 10:22Speaker 2: the Wild Games and we couldn't because our TV was
- 10:27Speaker 2: an Iowa address.
- 10:30Speaker 5: Basically, they didn't know we had moved.
- 10:31Speaker 2: So I was like, and I didn't know this, right,
- 10:34Speaker 2: So I got this thing called surf Shark, which is
- 10:36Speaker 2: a VPN. Basically you can create an IP address to
- 10:39Speaker 2: anywhere in the country, so I would use it to
- 10:42Speaker 2: make the TV think I was in Minneapolis so I
- 10:44Speaker 2: could watch Wild Games.
- 10:45Speaker 8: Right.
- 10:46Speaker 5: Oh okay, Well it turns out.
- 10:48Speaker 2: All I had to do was make one phone call
- 10:49Speaker 2: and change an address on my TV and I no
- 10:51Speaker 2: longer needed this VPN. Well, I completely forgot about this
- 10:56Speaker 2: VPN and I was getting charged.
- 10:58Speaker 5: I got charged for six.
- 10:59Speaker 7: Months before you even know or.
- 11:02Speaker 2: I noticed that I didn't. I obviously don't need it anymore.
- 11:05Speaker 2: We just get the wild games here, right right? Yeah,
- 11:07Speaker 2: so I was I The thing was is I had
- 11:10Speaker 2: paid for like the big lump sum Yeah, yeah, for
- 11:14Speaker 2: six months because then when the season's over, I don't
- 11:16Speaker 2: need it anymore.
- 11:16Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Well, of course the thing like renewed itself and would
- 11:20Speaker 2: just pay itself per month.
- 11:21Speaker 7: Oh that's the worst.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Yeah, And I discovered it earlier last week. I was like, oh,
- 11:26Speaker 2: it's time to cancel this that I used in probably
- 11:30Speaker 2: upwards of a year.
- 11:31Speaker 7: Oh what a nightmare.
- 11:33Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Have you ever had something like that happened to you?
- 11:36Speaker 2: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven
- 11:39Speaker 2: or you know you can text us this is up
- 11:41Speaker 2: on Facebook? Yeah, angie, what which subscription got you?
- 11:45Speaker 6: Bruh?
- 11:45Speaker 7: The worst?
- 11:46Speaker 1: So a million years ago, because I needed to docu
- 11:50Speaker 1: sign something, I got Adobe Acrobat on my phone, okay,
- 11:55Speaker 1: and then I forgot about it. And I didn't have
- 11:58Speaker 1: to DocuSign anything for like for and then it took
- 12:02Speaker 1: out like seventy five dollars out of my account, and
- 12:05Speaker 1: I was irate because it was at a time where
- 12:08Speaker 1: I didn't have a printer, so like you could just
- 12:12Speaker 1: print things out and sign it and it's fine, but
- 12:15Speaker 1: I needed it for that one time and it did not.
- 12:18Speaker 7: It was not worth the seventy five dollars.
- 12:19Speaker 5: No, that one signature.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Huh oh, it was the worst. I was mad, and
- 12:23Speaker 1: it came at a very inopportunite time. I don't want
- 12:25Speaker 1: to talk about it.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Ricky said door Dash and uber one is there fianos?
- 12:31Speaker 7: Yes, uber one got me.
- 12:33Speaker 1: And then I had to cancel that because I've I've
- 12:35Speaker 1: told myself to stop ordering food.
- 12:38Speaker 5: I used door Dash from time to time.
- 12:40Speaker 7: It might be charging every month. Yeah, you better go check.
- 12:45Speaker 5: Okay, I need to do some checking very quickly.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Okay, what about James who said Jelly of the Month
- 12:52Speaker 2: club and then Jerry said this is great, Cherry said
- 12:56Speaker 2: some food magazines. I hardly cook, Oh my gosh, quite
- 13:02Speaker 2: literally like lighting a couple, you know, twenties on fire.
- 13:05Speaker 7: Yes, that's the worst.
- 13:06Speaker 2: And then Tracy, I feel really bad for Tracy. I
- 13:09Speaker 2: think he was expecting a lot more bang for his
- 13:11Speaker 2: buck here and it just didn't end up that way. Tracy,
- 13:15Speaker 2: he had signed up for the bribe Gabe for free
- 13:18Speaker 2: stuff club.
- 13:20Speaker 5: Oh god, he said.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Initially, I didn't think twenty nine ninety nine a month
- 13:24Speaker 2: sounded too bad. But he hasn't given me anything yet,
- 13:27Speaker 2: so it might be time to rethink that.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, subscribe to me instead. It's only ninety maybe.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Well for Angie's it's only two easy payments of nineteen.
- 13:40Speaker 6: This is am I the problem? It's the problem. It's me.
- 13:47Speaker 8: We'll hear one side of the story, and with your help,
- 13:50Speaker 8: am I the problem, decide if it's right or if
- 13:53Speaker 8: maybe you're the problem.
- 13:55Speaker 6: I'm hardly the problem. On Big ninety eight point seven.
- 13:59Speaker 1: When I Press's read this this is from Jackie, I thought, oh,
- 14:02Speaker 1: this is a learned woman. She sounds very intelligent when
- 14:06Speaker 1: she speaks or writes. Oh no, what it's okay, You'll
- 14:11Speaker 1: be fine, all right. She's being accused of being unethical.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Good morning, Gabe and Angie. This is Jackie, and I
- 14:18Speaker 1: am emailing you because my boyfriend and good friend chastised
- 14:22Speaker 1: me for going to open houses on the weekends when
- 14:26Speaker 1: I am, in fact not in the market to buy
- 14:28Speaker 1: a new home. I'm only twenty five years old, and
- 14:31Speaker 1: the apartment life will have to suffice for now as
- 14:34Speaker 1: I continue my postgraduate education. I just love to look
- 14:38Speaker 1: at houses in fancy neighborhoods see how the other half lives.
- 14:43Speaker 1: My boyfriend gets annoyed because I sometimes make him come
- 14:47Speaker 1: with me, and he feels like a fraud. He thinks
- 14:50Speaker 1: it is unethical for me to mislead the agent into
- 14:53Speaker 1: thinking I am a prospective buyer.
- 14:56Speaker 7: What is that look on your face?
- 14:58Speaker 5: This is this is my focus face. So I'm really
- 15:00Speaker 5: trying hard to understand.
- 15:01Speaker 7: Oh my gosh.
- 15:03Speaker 1: My friend agrees and added, I am creating false hope
- 15:07Speaker 1: for someone who is trying to make a living in
- 15:09Speaker 1: a tough economy. I still think it is harmless. Would
- 15:13Speaker 1: love your opinion and those of your listeners.
- 15:16Speaker 5: Sorry, that wasn't actually that bad.
- 15:18Speaker 7: That was actually just sounds. You know. She doesn't use
- 15:21Speaker 7: a lot of sling.
- 15:22Speaker 5: Yeah, no slang in there for me.
- 15:23Speaker 1: No, we did put this up on the Big ninety
- 15:26Speaker 1: point seven Facebook page because she did say that she
- 15:28Speaker 1: wants the opinion of the listeners also, and of course
- 15:32Speaker 1: you can call us text us seven oh one two,
- 15:34Speaker 1: eight oh one to nine eighty seven. Do you think
- 15:36Speaker 1: that this is problematic for Jackie to be going to
- 15:41Speaker 1: open houses knowing full well she ain't buying a house.
- 15:44Speaker 5: Here's what I'll say.
- 15:45Speaker 2: If you're a realtor and you're annoyed at this, you're
- 15:47Speaker 2: gonna really hate me today. I don't think there's anything
- 15:50Speaker 2: wrong with this at all that you can do it.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Why can't you do a little window shopping. You're just
- 15:54Speaker 2: going to check some stuff out. Who knows that open
- 15:57Speaker 2: house there might not be anyone in there. Okay, that
- 15:59Speaker 2: really glad to have someone stopped by to talk to you. Okay,
- 16:03Speaker 2: you're selling a good, really nice, fancy house. You know,
- 16:06Speaker 2: there's not maybe a giant part of the population that
- 16:09Speaker 2: could afford to maybe grab this house. So they're just
- 16:11Speaker 2: happy for the company and they can maybe work on
- 16:13Speaker 2: their you know, chitchat skills. They're small talk home chitchat skills.
- 16:17Speaker 2: I realtors should take this as a learning opportunity.
- 16:20Speaker 6: Okay.
- 16:20Speaker 1: I don't always agree with you, but in this case, yeah,
- 16:23Speaker 1: I feel like that's fine. I feel like first realtors
- 16:27Speaker 1: are not dumb. Okay, they know. I feel like they
- 16:30Speaker 1: can tell right off the bat who's just browsing to
- 16:33Speaker 1: browse and who is actually in the market to buy
- 16:36Speaker 1: a home. Like, I think that there's a discernment there,
- 16:40Speaker 1: and so I don't think they're very bothered.
- 16:41Speaker 7: The other thing is, I absolutely I don't.
- 16:45Speaker 1: I haven't done it here because I feel like it's
- 16:48Speaker 1: too obvious. But in I used to live in Seattle
- 16:51Speaker 1: and I would go to open houses all the time
- 16:55Speaker 1: just to see, oh okay.
- 16:57Speaker 7: But the thing I would do is create a new
- 17:00Speaker 7: entire character. I was doing a whole bit.
- 17:04Speaker 1: And you know what, in my head, they would none
- 17:06Speaker 1: the whys, and they thought I really was a rich
- 17:09Speaker 1: gal who was.
- 17:10Speaker 7: Going in trying to find a new home.
- 17:12Speaker 5: Were you using that?
- 17:13Speaker 7: Yes, I absolutely was. That they knew one hundred percent
- 17:16Speaker 7: that it was a lie.
- 17:18Speaker 1: But in my head, for my own funzies, it was
- 17:21Speaker 1: like a fun thing to do with something fun and
- 17:23Speaker 1: free to do on the weekends.
- 17:24Speaker 7: I mean, he's not.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Wrong, the boyfriend and the friend not wrong in that
- 17:29Speaker 1: it is a tough economy, But because it's a tough economy,
- 17:32Speaker 1: we gotta find fun, free things to do on the
- 17:35Speaker 1: weekend and going to an open house is fine, but
- 17:39Speaker 1: I maybe I'm unethical. I don't know, what are your thoughts?
- 17:42Speaker 1: Let us know seven oh one too eight on one,
- 17:44Speaker 1: nine eighty seven. We also have this up on the
- 17:45Speaker 1: Facebook page. If you're a real turk, can you call
- 17:48Speaker 1: us let us know, A if you can tell right
- 17:51Speaker 1: away who's a big fat phony?
- 17:54Speaker 7: And B if you even mind?
- 17:56Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe they maybe they do hate it. They find
- 17:58Speaker 2: it as a waste of time. You know, it's obviously
- 18:00Speaker 2: I'm not a real church, so I've never tried to
- 18:02Speaker 2: sell a house. Maybe they do hate it and they're like,
- 18:03Speaker 2: oh god, I just wasted twenty minutes with you know
- 18:06Speaker 2: this schmuck. Yeah, and they don't like that, so yeah, yeah,
- 18:11Speaker 2: seven oh one two eight zero one eight seven.
- 18:20Speaker 6: The problem.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Jackie wants to know if she is the problem for
- 18:24Speaker 1: going to open houses on the weekends, knowing full well
- 18:29Speaker 1: she ain't trying to buy no house. Her boyfriend and
- 18:31Speaker 1: her good friend think.
- 18:32Speaker 2: That that's unethical, isn't it sort of like, I mean,
- 18:35Speaker 2: obviously you're not going there, but what's wrong with you?
- 18:37Speaker 2: You open up zillow and look at houses around your
- 18:40Speaker 2: neighborhood from time to time, don't you. Yeah, just what
- 18:43Speaker 2: they're worth afford it, you know, Yeah, yeah, I do
- 18:47Speaker 2: that a lot.
- 18:47Speaker 7: I think that there's nothing wrong with this at all.
- 18:50Speaker 1: I am guilty of this behavior actually, and I even
- 18:53Speaker 1: commit to the bit and really act like I'm going.
- 18:56Speaker 4: To buy a home.
- 18:57Speaker 5: That's one step two far.
- 18:58Speaker 7: That's one step too far.
- 19:00Speaker 1: I get that I am a problem, But I don't
- 19:02Speaker 1: think Jackie is just for going to the open houses.
- 19:04Speaker 7: I think that's silly.
- 19:06Speaker 1: But of course we opened it up to you, because
- 19:08Speaker 1: Jabe and I aren't really the authority on anything.
- 19:11Speaker 5: So Ever, we did.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Have this posted to our Facebook page, and of course
- 19:16Speaker 1: asked you to call or text us. Claire texted and said,
- 19:20Speaker 1: I am not a realtor, but I would be frustrated,
- 19:24Speaker 1: especially if enough people.
- 19:25Speaker 7: Were doing what you do.
- 19:27Speaker 1: What you consider harmless fun is likely a let down
- 19:30Speaker 1: for someone working to earn a paycheck.
- 19:33Speaker 7: What if they are new to the career. This is disheartening.
- 19:37Speaker 6: Wow, Claire, there you.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Are with more thought and logic than I ever put
- 19:42Speaker 1: into anything. Because if it is a new realtor, I
- 19:45Speaker 1: feel like that would be a bummer. You think someone's
- 19:48Speaker 1: coming to your open house and you're gonna make your
- 19:50Speaker 1: first sale, and then they are not.
- 19:51Speaker 7: They weren't even trying to buy it all.
- 19:52Speaker 2: It might be a bummer, but it's a great sense
- 19:55Speaker 2: of reality that far you're learning real fast.
- 19:59Speaker 1: That time difficult. Yeah, oh, Gabe, I like the way
- 20:02Speaker 1: you spun that, right. I stand by my position. I
- 20:04Speaker 1: think it's harmless.
- 20:05Speaker 5: Ryan kind of agrees with Claire here.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Ryan said, wasting the realtors time because they don't know
- 20:11Speaker 2: you have zero intent on buying. They could be using
- 20:13Speaker 2: that effort to inform someone else about the property. But
- 20:16Speaker 2: since you like to waste people's time, they're getting screwed.
- 20:20Speaker 6: Oh my god.
- 20:22Speaker 5: And that's on Facebook from Ryan.
- 20:24Speaker 6: Wow.
- 20:24Speaker 5: Roy a couple of people who do not like this.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Okay, well I see your point, Ryan and Claire.
- 20:31Speaker 7: So let's see someone who agrees with us.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Julia said, nothing wrong with this. What do they think
- 20:37Speaker 2: the parade of homes is for? I love looking at home. Yes,
- 20:40Speaker 2: maybe you'll click with one, and when the time is
- 20:42Speaker 2: ready for you, then you have the contacts to reach
- 20:45Speaker 2: out for help when you are looking seriously.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Okay, See that makes sense to me because at least
- 20:50Speaker 1: it's like building a network, because then when the time comes.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Jackie did say that she's postgrad she's continuing her education,
- 20:59Speaker 1: but at some point maybe she so maybe during these
- 21:01Speaker 1: open houses she finds a real tis she likes and
- 21:04Speaker 1: she can reach out and then it'll all come full circle.
- 21:06Speaker 5: That's right. And then Mercedes was kind of sort of
- 21:09Speaker 5: in the middle.
- 21:09Speaker 2: She said, it's one thing to schedule a private showing
- 21:12Speaker 2: knowing you will not be purchasing, because yes, that is
- 21:15Speaker 2: a giant waste of time, that is everybody. But I
- 21:18Speaker 2: think there's no harm in open houses. Open means open
- 21:22Speaker 2: for a reason. And then finally Jana has said, I
- 21:26Speaker 2: think your boyfriend and friends sound fun at parties, nothing
- 21:30Speaker 2: wrong with it.
- 21:31Speaker 8: Do what you want. Starting off the day with something good.
- 21:40Speaker 8: This is Gabe's good news on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Well, it is Memorial weekend and just a big reminder
- 21:50Speaker 2: here with Memorial Day coming up on Monday. Memorial Day
- 21:53Speaker 2: commemorates the men and women who died while serving in
- 21:56Speaker 2: the United States. Veterans Day is set aside to thank
- 22:00Speaker 2: an honor all who served in the armed forces, so
- 22:03Speaker 2: there is a bit of a difference there. Memorial Day
- 22:05Speaker 2: is always observed on the last Monday in May, which
- 22:09Speaker 2: this year May twenty fifth, that is the earliest Memorial
- 22:13Speaker 2: Day can possibly be, and then next year we actually
- 22:17Speaker 2: have Memorial Day on the latest possible day.
- 22:21Speaker 5: Coming up on Monday.
- 22:22Speaker 2: As you're enjoying your day off, you know, we want
- 22:24Speaker 2: you to obviously have fun, but there is an exact
- 22:27Speaker 2: moment of remembrance, and it is three pm here in
- 22:31Speaker 2: the FM area. It's where we're supposed to pause and
- 22:34Speaker 2: remember the brave men and women who died in service
- 22:37Speaker 2: to our nation.
- 22:38Speaker 5: So we want you to enjoy the day, have some fun.
- 22:41Speaker 2: But even if you just take a tiny bit of
- 22:42Speaker 2: your time on Monday to remember why we have the
- 22:45Speaker 2: day off and why we can have fun on Monday,
- 22:48Speaker 2: it is at three o'clock.
- 22:49Speaker 7: Yeah, remember to pour one out.
- 22:51Speaker 5: That's right.
- 22:51Speaker 2: And you know my favorite quote, if you don't hear it,
- 22:54Speaker 2: is broken crayons, they still color and the world is
- 22:56Speaker 2: full of nice people. If you can't find one, you
- 22:58Speaker 2: got to be one.
