Cade Tyson’s Eligibility Hangs in Balance | Minnesota Golden Gophers Basketball News
Cade Tyson is poised to return for Minnesota’s 2026-27 season after a stellar year averaging 19.6 points, but his eligibility remains uncertain. Already enrolled and practicing, the 6’7” guard/forward brings elite scoring (1,600+ points), three-point prowess (203+ made), and rebounding chops (500+ rebounds) across four collegiate stops. Coach Medved is fully behind him, as the Gophers open with an Oct. 15 exhibition vs. Omaha and kick off their regular season Nov. 2 against North Dakota — making Tyson’s potential return a major storyline.
