- 0:05Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Richard Sherman Podcast. Another incredible week
- 0:09Speaker 1: of football coming up. Make sure you like and subscribe
- 0:12Speaker 1: to the pod so we can keep delivering incredible content.
- 0:15Speaker 1: The Seahawks are playing the Arizona Cardinals. Now, before the
- 0:20Speaker 1: season started, this looked like a cakewalk. This looked like, hey,
- 0:23Speaker 1: this is going to be a game. The Seahawks can
- 0:25Speaker 1: walk in here, you know, kind of just stay tight,
- 0:28Speaker 1: keep it tight, keep it sharp. and walk out with
- 0:30Speaker 1: a victory. But the Arizona Cardinals last week against the
- 0:34Speaker 1: LA Chargers looked really good, Mitchell. Jacoby Brissett was sharp.
- 0:38Speaker 1: The run game was solid. But their defense, their defense
- 0:42Speaker 1: and their defensive line is what was most impressive in
- 0:45Speaker 1: that game. The Seahawks are going to play Drew Locke
- 0:48Speaker 1: and not Sam Darnold. So we'll see if he can
- 0:51Speaker 1: build on what he did last week. He played a
- 0:54Speaker 1: good game, was pretty efficient, didn't put the ball in
- 0:57Speaker 1: harm's way, used his legs when he needed to. And
- 0:59Speaker 1: I think that's what they're going to need from him
- 1:01Speaker 1: if they're going to win this game.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Richard, there's no question about it. A lot of eyeballs
- 1:05Speaker 2: are going to be on Drew Locke. I mean, here
- 1:07Speaker 2: was a guy, again, he was a starter in Denver,
- 1:09Speaker 2: had his opportunity there and ends up in Seattle. When
- 1:13Speaker 2: he came into this game, you know, it looked like
- 1:16Speaker 2: he needed to find his footing. The play calling looked
- 1:19Speaker 2: as if he needed to find his footing as well.
- 1:21Speaker 2: And then in the second half, when they were down
- 1:23Speaker 2: 10 points, Drew Locke did his thing and brought this
- 1:26Speaker 2: team back into the game. Do you expect them to
- 1:28Speaker 2: air it out more with Drew Locke now that he's
- 1:30Speaker 2: got a full week under his belt of practice and
- 1:33Speaker 2: anticipating going into this game being the starter?
- 1:38Speaker 1: No, no, I do not expect them to air it
- 1:40Speaker 1: out more unless they get behind in this game, which
- 1:44Speaker 1: with the Arizona Cardinals playing the way they did last week,
- 1:47Speaker 1: you know, Matt LaFleur has these boys believing, has them
- 1:50Speaker 1: really sound offensively. They have playmakers on the outside. Marvin
- 1:54Speaker 1: Harrison Jr. and Michael Wilson are guys that can get going.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Our guy, Kendrick Bourne, friend of the program. And we
- 2:04Speaker 1: got to wait and see. Now, do I think the
- 2:07Speaker 1: Seahawks defense is one of the best in the league,
- 2:09Speaker 1: if not the best in the league, and is going
- 2:11Speaker 1: to generate a lot more pressure than the L.A. Chargers?
- 2:14Speaker 1: No question about it. They're going to create more chaos
- 2:16Speaker 1: in the back end. They're going to look to confuse
- 2:18Speaker 1: Jacoby Brissett and confuse his looks and pressure him, put
- 2:22Speaker 1: him under duress. But just like they did against Drake May.
- 2:26Speaker 1: You know, they had Drake May guessing and second-guessing himself
- 2:29Speaker 1: all game long. I think Mike McDonald is going to
- 2:31Speaker 1: have a tremendous plan, as he always does. And we're
- 2:35Speaker 1: going to see. They're really deep at the defensive line.
- 2:37Speaker 1: They're going to be attacking him. He's not going to
- 2:39Speaker 1: sit in that pocket and be comfortable like he was
- 2:41Speaker 1: against the L.A. Chargers. I got the Seahawks winning this game.
- 2:46Speaker 1: And I got them winning not easily, but comfortably, Mitchell, comfortably,
- 2:50Speaker 1: by at least seven. They're going to win by seven.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Arizona is going to keep it close. It's going to
- 2:55Speaker 1: be more competitive than I think anybody would have thought
- 2:58Speaker 1: coming into the season. But the Seahawks win this game.
- 3:01Speaker 1: I think Jadarian Price is going to have a really
- 3:03Speaker 1: solid game. They're going to have to lean on him
- 3:05Speaker 1: a little bit more. I think the offensive line is
- 3:07Speaker 1: probably going to have a little bit more success without
- 3:09Speaker 1: Milton Williams in the middle destroying a lot of their
- 3:12Speaker 1: run plays. But we got to see. We got to see.
- 3:16Speaker 1: This would be a big win if the Seattle Seahawks
- 3:18Speaker 1: can go 2-0 with Sam Donald resting and healing up.
- 3:22Speaker 1: That'd be huge for this team. I think that's the
- 3:24Speaker 1: expectation from everybody around the world for the world champions
- 3:27Speaker 1: to go into Arizona and get a win.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Well, going to Arizona is never easy. You've played in
- 3:33Speaker 2: some barn burners in Arizona. And this matchup, I mean,
- 3:36Speaker 2: don't overlook it. We got two former Notre Dame running backs,
- 3:39Speaker 2: both first-round picks. Jeremiah Love going against his former teammate,
- 3:42Speaker 2: Jadarian Price, as you mentioned. Price had a solid game,
- 3:46Speaker 2: averaged 5.2 yards a carry. Eyes are going to be
- 3:49Speaker 2: on Jeremiah Love as well. This is an opportunity for
- 3:52Speaker 2: the Arizona Cardinals to really take the NFL by storm
- 3:55Speaker 2: if they're going to win this game on the road.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Look out for it, Richard. It's not going to be
- 3:59Speaker 2: a cupcake easy game. These divisional games are tough. We
- 4:04Speaker 2: shall see. One of the question marks I have, though,
- 4:06Speaker 2: before we leave this game is when are we going
- 4:09Speaker 2: to see Rashid Shahid unleashed? Because ultimately when he's after
- 4:14Speaker 2: the acquisition at the trade deadline last year, He's had
- 4:17Speaker 2: some splash plays, but we haven't seen that big game
- 4:20Speaker 2: from Rashid Shaheed. What do you think needs to change
- 4:23Speaker 2: in order to get him more involved in the offensive scheme?
- 4:28Speaker 1: Well, they're going to have to take some shots. They're
- 4:29Speaker 1: going to have to take some shots. And I think
- 4:31Speaker 1: after Sam Darnold went out last week, the plan was
- 4:34Speaker 1: to just be conservative. They were down in the game.
- 4:38Speaker 1: They didn't want to have him make any mistakes or
- 4:42Speaker 1: force him into bad decisions or put him in harm's
- 4:44Speaker 1: way or put the ball in harm's way. So I
- 4:46Speaker 1: think they played it ultra-conservative, tried to get through this game,
- 4:49Speaker 1: lean on the defense. The defense created some turnovers, made
- 4:52Speaker 1: some big plays late in that game, and gave them
- 4:54Speaker 1: a chance to get J.S. in the ball and allow
- 4:58Speaker 1: the rest to happen. And I think this game, going in,
- 5:02Speaker 1: knowing that Drew Locke is going to be the starter,
- 5:04Speaker 1: it'll give the Seattle Seahawks time to have a plan
- 5:07Speaker 1: for Rasheed Shaheed. I think going over the top is
- 5:10Speaker 1: obviously what he does best. Again, a week developing a rapport.
- 5:16Speaker 1: And a connection with Drew Locke is going to be
- 5:18Speaker 1: big because not that they haven't connected before, but I'm
- 5:21Speaker 1: sure majority of the reps went to Sam Darnold when
- 5:24Speaker 1: working with the number one offense throughout training camp. So, again,
- 5:27Speaker 1: have to develop that connection. I think they've worked on
- 5:30Speaker 1: it this week, and I look forward to seeing him
- 5:33Speaker 1: included in the game plan much more this week.
- 5:36Speaker 2: I know you like the Seattle Seahawks, but how much
- 5:38Speaker 2: do you like them? What do you see this final
- 5:40Speaker 2: score being?
- 5:41Speaker 1: I have the final score... 24. I don't want to
- 5:49Speaker 1: disrespect Mike McDonald's defense. They held New England to 10. 24.
- 5:58Speaker 1: 24 to 13. I feel good about that.
- 6:03Speaker 2: I like it. I'm not far off from you on that. I, too,
- 6:05Speaker 2: like Seattle to win this game. I think they take
- 6:08Speaker 2: care of the Red Hot Cardinals and move on to 2-0.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Let's stay in division. Your San Francisco 49ers with an
- 6:17Speaker 2: overwhelming victory over the, I guess, highly touted LA Rams.
- 6:21Speaker 2: They take care of business in Australia. Now they're going
- 6:24Speaker 2: to be hosting the Miami Dolphins, who lose week one.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Not a whole lot to expect here with Miami. Malik
- 6:29Speaker 2: Willis had some moments there. The rookie that they brought in,
- 6:34Speaker 2: the rookie wide receiver, Caleb Douglas, It looked really good.
- 6:40Speaker 2: So it looks like Miami might have some young weapons there.
- 6:44Speaker 2: I don't see it being enough. I see the Niners
- 6:46Speaker 2: taking care of business. But what are you looking for
- 6:48Speaker 2: in this game, San Francisco 49ers hosting the Miami Dolphins?
- 6:53Speaker 1: What I'm looking for in this game, I think, again,
- 6:55Speaker 1: Jeff Halfley is a new coach, and the cupboard's pretty
- 6:58Speaker 1: bare for Miami. They're playing a lot of young guys.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Malik Willis was solid last week. He was 15-27 for
- 7:05Speaker 1: 220 and one interception. He was sacked five times. Again,
- 7:09Speaker 1: When you get in a situation like this where you're
- 7:11Speaker 1: pushing the reset button in a big way, you get
- 7:14Speaker 1: rid of your quarterback that you're paying $ 50 million, you
- 7:17Speaker 1: get rid of two $ 30- plus million receivers, you get rid
- 7:21Speaker 1: of just about everybody on defense, I don't think you're
- 7:25Speaker 1: expecting to have a lot of success. And Jeff Halfley
- 7:28Speaker 1: is doing the best he can with what he has.
- 7:31Speaker 1: I think he's going to put together a good plan
- 7:33Speaker 1: for the San Francisco 49ers, but I expect him to
- 7:35Speaker 1: win this game pretty easily going away. because they're the
- 7:39Speaker 1: better team. They played a great team last week in
- 7:44Speaker 1: Australia and made it look easy. I think they're going
- 7:47Speaker 1: to try to be a little bit more aggressive on defense,
- 7:51Speaker 1: you know, but this could be a trap. This could
- 7:52Speaker 1: be a trap game. You know, this is one of
- 7:54Speaker 1: those games where you just had a big win. Sometimes
- 8:00Speaker 1: it forces you to take a deep exhale and you
- 8:04Speaker 1: get lackadaisical, but I think Kyle Shanahan is aware of that.
- 8:07Speaker 1: I think Raheem Morris is aware of the things that
- 8:09Speaker 1: could happen, especially after a long trip and a big
- 8:13Speaker 1: emotional win like they had last week. I think the
- 8:17Speaker 1: most important aspect of this game for the San Francisco
- 8:20Speaker 1: 49ers is consistency. You know, get your playmakers involved. Make
- 8:24Speaker 1: sure you execute your offense. Get George Kittle the ball.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Make sure Christian McCaffrey feels comfortable. Get your run game going.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Mike Evans, this should be a 100-yard game for Mike Evans.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Who do they have? That should be able to stop him.
- 8:37Speaker 1: I think that's the most important thing defensively. I think
- 8:40Speaker 1: it's time to get turnovers. I think it's hunting turnovers,
- 8:42Speaker 1: hunting sacks, getting after the quarterback. When you play a
- 8:45Speaker 1: team that you're better than, you should dominate, and I
- 8:47Speaker 1: think this should be a dominant performance for the San
- 8:49Speaker 1: Francisco 49ers. I got the San Francisco 49ers winning this game.
- 8:53Speaker 1: They're going to score at least 30, so 31-10.
- 9:01Speaker 2: I like that as well. Miami, we shall see with them.
- 9:04Speaker 2: But I like this opportunity for Kalen Black, you know,
- 9:07Speaker 2: the rookie running back out of Indiana who had a
- 9:09Speaker 2: solid first showing against the Rams. I anticipate the Niners
- 9:13Speaker 2: getting up early and giving CMC some relief. Let's keep
- 9:17Speaker 2: our eyes on Kalen Black in this game. I think
- 9:19Speaker 2: he's going to have a productive showing and it's good
- 9:21Speaker 2: for the 49ers to establish that second running back opposite
- 9:26Speaker 2: of CMC because They are going to need somebody for
- 9:29Speaker 2: the long haul. Fingers crossed the Niners can stay healthy.
- 9:32Speaker 2: The national media is starting to turn a little bit,
- 9:34Speaker 2: if you haven't noticed already, Richard. Everyone kind of wrote
- 9:38Speaker 2: the 49ers off. They didn't write back, and now all
- 9:41Speaker 2: of a sudden the national landscape has shifted for, hey,
- 9:44Speaker 2: maybe the Niners are the favorite in this challenging NFC West.
- 9:50Speaker 2: We'll see. I don't know how big of a contest
- 9:53Speaker 2: Miami is going to be, but I'm interested to hear
- 9:55Speaker 2: your thoughts overall about this Niners team going forward, because
- 10:00Speaker 2: I think in your power rankings, you already had them
- 10:02Speaker 2: so high, but I have a feeling they're going to
- 10:03Speaker 2: move up.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Yeah, they keep playing like they have. I need them
- 10:07Speaker 1: to keep winning, keep stacking up wins. I've seen some
- 10:09Speaker 1: power rankings that had them as low as 9 and 10.
- 10:12Speaker 1: I don't really subscribe to that. I think this is
- 10:14Speaker 1: a complete team, a team that has been to Super
- 10:16Speaker 1: Bowls Obviously, different personnel. They brought Deebo Samuel back. He's
- 10:21Speaker 1: picked up where he left off. They have guys who
- 10:23Speaker 1: believe Dre Greenlaw has added a great element back to
- 10:28Speaker 1: this defense, an attitude, an energy, a physicality, a menacing
- 10:34Speaker 1: presence out there. Obviously, Fred Warner continues his All-Pro. Now
- 10:39Speaker 1: All-Pro Fred is looking like he's going to be Hall
- 10:41Speaker 1: of Fame, Fred. And he's the best middle linebacker in
- 10:43Speaker 1: the National Football League, and it's not particularly close. Can
- 10:47Speaker 1: the young safeties continue to blossom? Marquis Siegel had a
- 10:51Speaker 1: really good game, really physical game last week, just making
- 10:55Speaker 1: sure his presence was felt, making sure that even when
- 10:57Speaker 1: the receivers caught the football, they were feeling those hits.
- 11:01Speaker 1: And I think that factors in. People see that on tape.
- 11:04Speaker 1: People understand that on tape. And I think Jair Brown
- 11:07Speaker 1: was trying to do the same thing. But now it's
- 11:09Speaker 1: time to get the football. Can we get the football more?
- 11:11Speaker 1: Can we turn the ball over? Fred Warner forced multiple
- 11:14Speaker 1: fumbles last week. I think they only gave him credit
- 11:16Speaker 1: for one, but I think he forced two. And that's
- 11:20Speaker 1: what they're going to need. They're going to need to
- 11:22Speaker 1: win a game like this to dominate a team you're
- 11:24Speaker 1: supposed to dominate. You're going to need to turn the
- 11:25Speaker 1: ball over. You're going to need to answer the bell
- 11:30Speaker 1: and have the team. You don't want to disappoint a team.
- 11:33Speaker 1: When people see things on tape, when they see physicality,
- 11:36Speaker 1: when they see Fred punching the ball, when they see
- 11:37Speaker 1: an offense– That's on point and locked in. When they
- 11:40Speaker 1: see that on tape and they think, oh man, we're
- 11:42Speaker 1: in for a long day. You don't want to disappoint them.
- 11:44Speaker 1: And I don't think the San Francisco 49ers are.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Before we leave this game, I'll leave you with one
- 11:49Speaker 2: wild statistic I saw this morning. The Miami Dolphins starting
- 11:53Speaker 2: 11 offensive players. Their total cap hit does not equate
- 11:59Speaker 2: in totality to the cap hit that Tua Tungabailoa leaves.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Over $ 54 million or $ 53, $ 54 million in dead money
- 12:06Speaker 2: cap hit for Tua. And their entire starting 11 offensively
- 12:10Speaker 2: does not even equate to that number. So this is
- 12:12Speaker 2: truly a gap year for Miami. We'll see how they
- 12:15Speaker 2: fare against the Niners. I don't have high hopes. I
- 12:18Speaker 2: like the Niners in dominant fashion in this game.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Football is back. And if you're getting ready for the season,
- 12:25Speaker 1: pull up to your local Lids. The exclusive 47 NFL
- 12:29Speaker 1: collection is available only now. in store at lids and
- 12:33Speaker 1: this gear is the gear you're gonna need if you're
- 12:35Speaker 1: going all in all season.
- 12:37Speaker 2: No doubt about it we're talking nfl graphic tees the
- 12:41Speaker 2: iconic 47 hitch headwear silhouette richard you like this man
- 12:47Speaker 2: i love this the detroit lions 47 hitch headwear i
- 12:51Speaker 2: got on and fan gear that looks good on game
- 12:54Speaker 2: day monday morning and every day in between.
- 12:58Speaker 1: And listen I know a little something about being all in.
- 13:01Speaker 1: The Legion of Boom energy, it was not casual. We
- 13:04Speaker 1: didn't walk on the field hoping people noticed us. We
- 13:08Speaker 1: set the tone. We brought the energy. We made sure
- 13:11Speaker 1: everybody knew exactly who they were dealing with.
- 13:14Speaker 2: That's how you should rep your team, Richard. Confidence. No apologies.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Whether you're hosting the crew, watching the family, tailgating before
- 13:22Speaker 2: the game, or sitting across from somebody wearing the wrong colors.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Get to your local Lids and rep your squad the
- 13:30Speaker 2: right way.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Football isn't just a Sunday thing. It's a rivalry. It's tradition.
- 13:35Speaker 1: It's pride. It's who you are all week long. So
- 13:39Speaker 1: don't wait until kickoff to get ready. Pull up to
- 13:42Speaker 1: Lids and go all in, all season, only in store
- 13:46Speaker 1: at Lids. Metro, you said that Kalon Black was going
- 13:51Speaker 1: to have a tremendous impact in this game, and I agree.
- 13:54Speaker 1: I think they're going to spell CMC Save him, continue
- 13:58Speaker 1: to save him, continue to lean on the rookie. And
- 14:01Speaker 1: I got a chance to bring him in to interview.
- 14:04Speaker 1: So let's bring him in. San Francisco third round pick
- 14:08Speaker 1: from Indiana University, national champion, Kalon Black. Appreciate you joining me, brother. Hey, man.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Appreciate you for having me on, man. Bless.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Yeah, man. It just, ever since you got here, all,
- 14:22Speaker 1: you know, I haven't seen you. I haven't got to
- 14:24Speaker 1: go to practice and watch it. But everybody has talked
- 14:27Speaker 1: about how much of a pro you are, how mature
- 14:30Speaker 1: you are, how the game is coming easy to you,
- 14:32Speaker 1: how explosive you are. How has your first, I guess,
- 14:36Speaker 1: couple months in San Francisco been? Well, I guess Santa Clara. Yeah,
- 14:39Speaker 1: it's been great, man.
- 14:40Speaker 4: Definitely eye-opening. Just, you know, blessed to be out here.
- 14:44Speaker 4: Blessed for the opportunity. And, you know, I'm ready to just,
- 14:46Speaker 4: you know, prove myself to the whole world. Like I said, man,
- 14:50Speaker 4: I'm just grateful for, you know, the Niners picking me.
- 14:53Speaker 4: I know I was, you know, It wasn't as highly,
- 14:56Speaker 4: you know, anticipated to go high in the draft or
- 14:58Speaker 4: anything like that. But, you know, like I said, I'm
- 15:00Speaker 4: just blessed, man, and I'm ready to roll.
- 15:02Speaker 1: I mean, speaking of that, you came from James Madison,
- 15:05Speaker 1: you know, and you obviously weren't the most heralded guy.
- 15:09Speaker 1: But then you get to Indiana and you guys roar
- 15:12Speaker 1: your way to a national championship. And a lot of
- 15:14Speaker 1: it they wrote you were the bell cow, you know
- 15:16Speaker 1: what I mean? And you got it done at a
- 15:18Speaker 1: high level. How much did that season mean to you?
- 15:21Speaker 1: It meant a lot.
- 15:22Speaker 4: I just feel like, you know, that team right there
- 15:24Speaker 4: was just, you know, the closest team that I've been on.
- 15:26Speaker 4: You know, you have guys like, you know, Fernando Mendoza
- 15:29Speaker 4: and D'Angelo Pons, Aiden Fisher, like all NFL guys now.
- 15:32Speaker 4: I feel like, you know, the camaraderie, you know, the leadership,
- 15:35Speaker 4: you know, in the building was just great. And I
- 15:37Speaker 4: feel like, you know, it's led to our success, you know,
- 15:41Speaker 4: even getting into the pros.
- 15:43Speaker 1: No question. It looked like you guys were well coached.
- 15:46Speaker 1: you guys were taught to be professional and everything you
- 15:49Speaker 1: guys were taught has translated to the pros. Do you
- 15:53Speaker 1: have a bit of a chip on your shoulder being
- 15:55Speaker 1: the third running back pick in a draft or were
- 15:57Speaker 1: you happy? What were you picked and where you landed?
- 16:00Speaker 4: Man, honestly, I've always had a chip on my shoulder.
- 16:02Speaker 4: I was going to have it, you know, regardless if
- 16:04Speaker 4: I was undrafted, you know, seventh round or anything like that. Honestly,
- 16:08Speaker 4: I just feel like, you know, my play style, I
- 16:10Speaker 4: just want to be ferocious. You know, I want to,
- 16:12Speaker 4: you know, run hard, be explosive and, you know, That
- 16:16Speaker 4: chip is just going to be there regardless.
- 16:18Speaker 3: I love the game.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, so do I. So do I. It looked
- 16:21Speaker 1: like you loved the game. But walk me through draft day.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Walk me through draft day. How did it happen? How
- 16:27Speaker 1: excited were you when you got that call and you
- 16:28Speaker 1: realized you were headed to the San Francisco 49ers?
- 16:30Speaker 3: Yeah, man, day two.
- 16:33Speaker 4: Honestly, I didn't know at all. You know, I had
- 16:36Speaker 4: been on, you know, had some talks with, you know,
- 16:39Speaker 4: Bobby T or whatever. And I honestly just wasn't sure.
- 16:42Speaker 4: I wasn't sure at all that day. But, you know,
- 16:46Speaker 4: I had this feeling in the back of my mind of, hey,
- 16:48Speaker 4: something may happen. Something may happen, you know, later that day.
- 16:52Speaker 4: I got a call from, you know, a California number,
- 16:54Speaker 4: and my heart dropped. I was outside talking with some
- 16:57Speaker 4: of my guys, and next thing you know, my phone
- 17:00Speaker 4: started buzzing in my pocket. I picked it up, and
- 17:03Speaker 4: it was, you know, it was the Niners, and I'm
- 17:04Speaker 4: just like, yo, there's no way this has happened. You know,
- 17:08Speaker 4: this is something I've been dreaming of since I was
- 17:10Speaker 4: four years old. Like, I've been playing football since I
- 17:12Speaker 4: was four, so... you know, to finally get the opportunity,
- 17:15Speaker 4: you know, go through it all, get drafted. You know,
- 17:17Speaker 4: I have books at home where, you know, I have
- 17:19Speaker 4: these scenarios written out and things of that nature. So,
- 17:23Speaker 4: you know, it's been a blessing, man. And like I said, like,
- 17:27Speaker 4: you know, I've been dreaming of it for so long.
- 17:29Speaker 4: And for it to finally happen, it's just like, it's
- 17:31Speaker 4: so amazing that day.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Man, I'm so excited for you. That was such a
- 17:35Speaker 1: big deal. And it's such a great place to get
- 17:37Speaker 1: drafted to. It's such a great organization. great coaching staff.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Please tell my guy, Bobby T, I said hello when
- 17:43Speaker 1: you see him. That's my guy. That's my guy. Well,
- 17:47Speaker 1: all those are my guys. But how has the organization
- 17:49Speaker 1: been so far? How has it been learning from CMC,
- 17:52Speaker 1: one of the best running backs in the National Football
- 17:54Speaker 1: League and one of the best all-around backs in the
- 17:56Speaker 1: history of the National Football League?
- 17:57Speaker 3: Yeah, definitely, man. It's been great, you know, learning from
- 18:00Speaker 3: guys like CMC.
- 18:01Speaker 4: Like, he's never, you know, shied away from trying to
- 18:03Speaker 4: give game, you know, on certain scenarios, you know, certain plays. Like,
- 18:07Speaker 4: you know, the system you were, you were here. So it's, it's,
- 18:09Speaker 4: you know, it's a lot going on. Um, so he's
- 18:12Speaker 4: definitely been one of the guys that helped me out
- 18:13Speaker 4: along with all the other running backs as well. So,
- 18:16Speaker 4: you know, it's, you know, one of those things where
- 18:19Speaker 4: you come in as a rookie, you try your best to,
- 18:21Speaker 4: you know, find someone that's going to help you out
- 18:23Speaker 4: the most.
- 18:24Speaker 3: The CMC has always been that guy for me.
- 18:27Speaker 1: And how is it playing with Brock Purdy? I mean,
- 18:29Speaker 1: obviously the most underrated quarterback in the national football league
- 18:32Speaker 1: and absolute dog and absolute talent. Um, he's one of
- 18:37Speaker 1: those guys that you really can't appreciate how good he
- 18:39Speaker 1: is until you're in the huddle with him, until he's
- 18:41Speaker 1: your teammate, until you see him go out there and deal.
- 18:44Speaker 1: How has it been watching him perform at quarterback?
- 18:47Speaker 3: Man, he's so smart.
- 18:49Speaker 4: Like when he's out there on that field, he's going
- 18:51Speaker 4: to know the ins and outs of everything. And he
- 18:53Speaker 4: doesn't like mistakes at all, but he's also one of
- 18:56Speaker 4: those guys who is just so detailed and, you.
- 18:58Speaker 3: Know, so focused. And I love being out there with him.
- 19:01Speaker 4: You know, it's just like, you know, that comfortability really
- 19:03Speaker 4: with him and all the other quarterbacks as well. Like,
- 19:06Speaker 4: you can tell that, you know, that coach will, you know,
- 19:08Speaker 4: coach Shanahan expects nothing less.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Which were there any, you know, obviously you're a pro
- 19:14Speaker 1: now and, you know, but it's human nature to somehow
- 19:17Speaker 1: you're a fan of this game. You watch this game
- 19:18Speaker 1: your whole life. You've been watching the NFL your whole life.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Were there any of your teammates where you were like, man,
- 19:23Speaker 1: this dude, we really out here together. Obviously, you know,
- 19:28Speaker 1: Trent Williams, the silverback, been in the game a long
- 19:30Speaker 1: time and played at a real high level. Was there
- 19:32Speaker 1: anybody that kind of just surprised you or kind of had.
- 19:35Speaker 4: You at all in all Honestly, man, CMC, first meeting him,
- 19:39Speaker 4: because he was always one of those guys that I
- 19:41Speaker 4: always watched, you know, his Stanford highlights and even, you know,
- 19:44Speaker 4: Carolina to now the Niners. But then Trent Williams, like
- 19:47Speaker 4: you said, like, I didn't realize he was that big.
- 19:51Speaker 3: And also growing up, like I was a Washington fan.
- 19:53Speaker 4: So, you know, he was on Washington and like, you know,
- 19:56Speaker 4: I was like, you know, third, fourth grade. Now, like
- 20:00Speaker 4: I'm in my first year in the league and we
- 20:02Speaker 4: on the same team. So it was just like, it
- 20:03Speaker 4: was real eyeopening to me.
- 20:05Speaker 1: But he's a, he's a great teammate though, man. He's a,
- 20:07Speaker 1: He's big, aggressive, strong, you know, but a guy that
- 20:13Speaker 1: will give you the shirt off his back, obviously a
- 20:15Speaker 1: great teammate. Fred Warner, I'm sure, might have surprised you.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Fred Warner is such a smart and aggressive and physical player.
- 20:23Speaker 1: I'm sure your forearms are sore from all the punching
- 20:27Speaker 1: and all that from him.
- 20:28Speaker 3: Yeah, he different.
- 20:29Speaker 4: Like I told him, I'm pretty sure yesterday, I'm like, yo,
- 20:34Speaker 4: I like it's different seeing you out there, you know, practicing,
- 20:37Speaker 4: but then in the game, it's like a whole different mode.
- 20:40Speaker 4: Like you, you watch the plays where he's just diving
- 20:42Speaker 4: in the air, making tackles, like with no, like no
- 20:46Speaker 4: stability in his feet.
- 20:47Speaker 3: And he's just out there doing anything. And it's just like,
- 20:50Speaker 3: it's fun to see. Yeah.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Yeah. You got, it's crazy because you practice with these guys,
- 20:55Speaker 1: but when you see him perform, you don't realize because
- 20:58Speaker 1: you're not going against other competition, but these are some
- 21:00Speaker 1: of the best in the league period. These are some
- 21:02Speaker 1: of the, Fred's the best linebacker in the league, period.
- 21:04Speaker 1: It's not like you're just going against some Joe. Nick,
- 21:08Speaker 1: one of the best D linemen in the league, just
- 21:11Speaker 1: won defensive MVP player of the year a couple years ago. Like,
- 21:15Speaker 1: these are real monsters at their position, so it's really
- 21:17Speaker 1: cool to watch. But how crazy was it for your
- 21:20Speaker 1: first career NFL game to be in Australia? I mean,
- 21:22Speaker 1: it's the first game they've ever had in Australia, to
- 21:24Speaker 1: my knowledge, and it's your first career game.
- 21:27Speaker 4: Man, it was honestly crazy to take all in. Like,
- 21:31Speaker 4: The first one to be in Australia, for one, but
- 21:33Speaker 4: for two to, like, for it to be the first
- 21:36Speaker 4: one was just, like, so, like I said, so eye-opening. Like,
- 21:41Speaker 4: you're like, I'm just blessed for the opportunity to really
- 21:44Speaker 4: just be here, you know, be on the active roster,
- 21:47Speaker 4: you know, be behind a guy like CMC and we
- 21:49Speaker 4: can do this thing together. Like, and then you're playing
- 21:52Speaker 4: in a huge crowd, 100-plus thousand.
- 21:55Speaker 3: Like, it was.
- 21:57Speaker 4: Yeah, I'd be at a loss for words, honestly. But
- 21:59Speaker 4: it was just a great feeling to finally be out
- 22:01Speaker 4: there accomplishing my dream.
- 22:04Speaker 1: No question. And you looked comfortable doing it. You looked comfortable.
- 22:06Speaker 1: You looked aggressive. I mean, you still had that pep
- 22:09Speaker 1: in yourself. You got a great burst, a great acceleration.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Was there any welcome to the league moments during training
- 22:15Speaker 1: camp or in that first game that you could think of?
- 22:18Speaker 3: Honestly, man, that's a great question.
- 22:25Speaker 4: I mean, mine might not be physical, But I would say, like,
- 22:28Speaker 4: for the mental aspect, like, coming into this system and
- 22:31Speaker 4: realizing how different it is than college, like, this.
- 22:34Speaker 3: Is the welcome to the league moment for me.
- 22:35Speaker 4: Like, you know, not only do you have to know
- 22:37Speaker 4: your running back stuff, but you got to know, you know,
- 22:39Speaker 4: your receiver stuff as well. You want to know what
- 22:41Speaker 4: everyone else around you is doing more so than you
- 22:44Speaker 4: did in college. So I feel like, you know, coming
- 22:46Speaker 4: into this offense, you know, it's definitely opened my eyes,
- 22:49Speaker 4: but also, like, opened my brain as well. You know,
- 22:51Speaker 4: just making me feel, like, you know, smarter. But also, hey,
- 22:55Speaker 4: you know, this is a new coming week. So, There's
- 22:57Speaker 4: a whole new set of plays, a whole new install.
- 23:00Speaker 3: So, hey, you got to be ready.
- 23:03Speaker 1: And Kyle is going to challenge you. Kyle is going
- 23:05Speaker 1: to challenge you. He's going to explain the game in
- 23:07Speaker 1: a way. I love this Monday meetings because it feels
- 23:09Speaker 1: like you're in class learning football all over again. You're like, oh,
- 23:12Speaker 1: I didn't even know. Think that about the game. But
- 23:15Speaker 1: that's a good point, Coach. You said, so the linebacker
- 23:17Speaker 1: went here. That's why you– okay, all right. I see
- 23:20Speaker 1: what you got going here, Kyle.
- 23:21Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 23:21Speaker 1: How have you– what's your impression of Kyle Shanahan so far?
- 23:24Speaker 4: Man, I love Kyle. He's so detailed, and he explains
- 23:28Speaker 4: everything so well. He goes defense-wise and offensive-wise, but the
- 23:34Speaker 4: way he explains defense, it's almost like he's a defensive coordinator.
- 23:38Speaker 4: You wouldn't even expect him to really sound like the
- 23:41Speaker 4: way he does when he explains it, but it's just like, hey,
- 23:44Speaker 4: that's my coach.
- 23:45Speaker 3: He like that. He like that.
- 23:50Speaker 1: When you see it from afar, you can't really appreciate
- 23:53Speaker 1: it as much as you can when you're in the
- 23:54Speaker 1: building and you really can hear his mind. And you're like, bro,
- 23:57Speaker 1: you're a savant wizard in this.
- 23:59Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly. And it's one of those things where, hey,
- 24:02Speaker 3: I just hope people stop sleeping on him. I really do.
- 24:06Speaker 3: He's one of them guys.
- 24:07Speaker 4: And you can definitely tell he cares about the game
- 24:09Speaker 4: and he's been in the system for a long time.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Well, you can help him stop sleeping on him by
- 24:13Speaker 1: continuing to tote the rock like you have been.
- 24:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:17Speaker 1: You get to go against your teammate this year, November 4th.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Y'all play the Raiders and your quarterback. That's going to
- 24:24Speaker 1: be a fun game for you, I'm sure.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Yeah, definitely, man.
- 24:26Speaker 4: Like, Fernando is, you know, he's smart, man. Everybody sees
- 24:29Speaker 4: how he is as a player. You know, even outside
- 24:32Speaker 4: of football, man, he's a great guy, real humble. But,
- 24:35Speaker 4: you know, going against him, you know, that day, I mean,
- 24:37Speaker 4: we seen him in the preseason or whatever. But, you know,
- 24:39Speaker 4: when it's real ball, when it comes in, you know,
- 24:42Speaker 4: we're going to be ready. We're going to be ready
- 24:44Speaker 4: to ball.
- 24:46Speaker 1: What have you seen for the Miami Dolphins this week?
- 24:48Speaker 4: Man, honestly, man, we know that, you know, they're a pretty,
- 24:51Speaker 4: you know, young team. But they have some guys that
- 24:54Speaker 4: can make plays. You know, linebacker Rodriguez, he's back there,
- 24:58Speaker 4: you know, calling the shots. And that's mainly, you know,
- 25:01Speaker 4: some of the things that we've seen so far. You know,
- 25:04Speaker 4: as we, you know, do more film study of them,
- 25:06Speaker 4: we also know that their special teams unit is good
- 25:08Speaker 4: as well. They have some great, you know, explosive returns. So,
- 25:12Speaker 4: you know, we're going to have our hands full. I
- 25:13Speaker 4: also wanted to make sure that we're locked in in
- 25:16Speaker 4: all phases, being us and staying focused and being locked in.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Before we get out of here, were there any surprises,
- 25:24Speaker 1: things you didn't expect about the league that you've come
- 25:27Speaker 1: to learn, whether it's harder or easier or just different
- 25:32Speaker 1: than what you expected?
- 25:33Speaker 4: Honestly, man, I'm sure you felt this when you came
- 25:36Speaker 4: into the league. At the end of the day, it's
- 25:38Speaker 4: just football. You just go out there and you be you.
- 25:41Speaker 4: You play full speed, 100% effort on the field at
- 25:43Speaker 4: all times. It's not going to be anything that you
- 25:47Speaker 4: haven't done before. And I feel like you go out
- 25:49Speaker 4: there with that mentality that at the end of the day,
- 25:52Speaker 4: you're going to have some success. And there's always things
- 25:55Speaker 4: to learn to get better at. But you be you.
- 26:00Speaker 4: It's just that simple.
- 26:02Speaker 1: And I'm going to let you go. But before we
- 26:04Speaker 1: get out of here, you got any questions for me?
- 26:06Speaker 1: Anything you want to ask or anything you want to say?
- 26:09Speaker 1: before we get out of here?
- 26:10Speaker 3: Yeah, man.
- 26:10Speaker 4: How did you feel like you got better throughout, you know,
- 26:15Speaker 4: your earlier years in terms of, you know, your schedule,
- 26:19Speaker 4: things that you did to, you know, help yourself get better?
- 26:21Speaker 1: A lot of it is just kind of learning to
- 26:27Speaker 1: delegate your time and kind of prioritizing the important things. Obviously,
- 26:32Speaker 1: it's your rookie year. You're coming from like all-star games
- 26:35Speaker 1: and combine training and everything, then you get into OTAs, minicamp,
- 26:39Speaker 1: it just feels like you never got a break. And
- 26:41Speaker 1: so you kind of just got to weather through your
- 26:43Speaker 1: rookie year, you know, and just kind of figure it out.
- 26:45Speaker 1: But once you get done with your rookie year, you
- 26:47Speaker 1: find a place to stay, make sure you're stable there,
- 26:50Speaker 1: whether you buy a house or you rent a house,
- 26:52Speaker 1: you start to figure out your off-season schedule. Maybe you
- 26:55Speaker 1: take a couple vacations, a vacation or two. You find
- 26:59Speaker 1: out where you're going to train before you get to training,
- 27:01Speaker 1: I mean, before you get to OTAs and and things
- 27:03Speaker 1: like that, but a lot of it is just self-critiquing yourself,
- 27:08Speaker 1: watching yourself on tape, recognizing the mistakes you made, and
- 27:11Speaker 1: just being really critical of yourself, especially early on, about
- 27:16Speaker 1: your weaknesses. Your strengths, you know what they are. You
- 27:19Speaker 1: know what you can lean on always, but in the league,
- 27:22Speaker 1: in order for you to thrive and continue to grow,
- 27:24Speaker 1: it's the weaknesses that you really got to focus on,
- 27:27Speaker 1: the things in your game that you know you don't
- 27:29Speaker 1: do well. It's okay to understand and accept that. Now,
- 27:31Speaker 1: you ain't got to tell nobody else, But you can
- 27:34Speaker 1: work on those things. Like when you get back to OTAs,
- 27:36Speaker 1: it's hard to work on them during the season. You
- 27:38Speaker 1: can try. But when you get to the offseason and
- 27:40Speaker 1: you understand the weaknesses that you have, all OTAs and
- 27:44Speaker 1: minicamp and training camp, it should be working on those
- 27:47Speaker 1: weaknesses so they ain't weaknesses no more. And so the
- 27:51Speaker 1: more you can do that and the more you can
- 27:53Speaker 1: minimize those weaknesses, the more complete and elite of a
- 27:56Speaker 1: player you become. That makes sense.
- 27:58Speaker 3: Yeah, it does, man. That's love. I appreciate that for sure.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Yes, sir. Yes, sir. What about you? What's your goals
- 28:04Speaker 1: for this season?
- 28:05Speaker 4: Man, my goals, honestly, like, I want a Super Bowl,
- 28:09Speaker 4: you know, but we got to take that one week
- 28:11Speaker 4: at a time, you know, one day at a time,
- 28:14Speaker 4: one practice at a time.
- 28:15Speaker 3: But honestly, that's my goal. You know, I want to win.
- 28:18Speaker 4: You know, I want to contribute the best way that
- 28:19Speaker 4: I can and, you know, just, you know, improve my
- 28:23Speaker 4: love for the game of ball, you know, just continue
- 28:26Speaker 4: to be me, you know, pick up some things along
- 28:28Speaker 4: the way because, of course, I'm not perfect. but you know,
- 28:31Speaker 4: I just want to be the best that I can
- 28:32Speaker 4: be at all times.
- 28:34Speaker 1: That's a great goal. That's a great goal. Just keep,
- 28:36Speaker 1: keep pushing the limit, keep pushing the limit. Don't put a,
- 28:38Speaker 1: don't put a cap on yourself no matter what. Um,
- 28:42Speaker 1: you know, it seems like you're a great young man
- 28:44Speaker 1: and I, you, you, you landed in a great organization
- 28:46Speaker 1: with some great men and great leaders in there. You know, don't,
- 28:50Speaker 1: you never know too much and you're never, you're never
- 28:52Speaker 1: too good to learn and you're never too good to
- 28:54Speaker 1: pick up habits. You got, you're around a bunch of pros, pros,
- 28:57Speaker 1: you know, it's, it's, keep your eyes open, keep your
- 29:00Speaker 1: ears open. The things that they're saying, whether it's investing,
- 29:03Speaker 1: whether it's other, you know, life outside of football, like
- 29:06Speaker 1: learn from them because it's a reason they've been in
- 29:08Speaker 1: the league as long as they have. It's a reason
- 29:10Speaker 1: CMC has played as well as he has for as
- 29:12Speaker 1: long as he has and been as good as he has.
- 29:14Speaker 1: So when you, when you figure that out, I mean,
- 29:17Speaker 1: when you, when you talk to him about those things,
- 29:19Speaker 1: just continue to pick his brain, continue to like ask
- 29:22Speaker 1: the questions. Those guys want you to be great. They,
- 29:25Speaker 1: they know what it feels like to be a rookie.
- 29:26Speaker 1: They know what it's like to, to be the guy who,
- 29:29Speaker 1: who was overlooked or the guy who doesn't know his
- 29:32Speaker 1: way yet. So the guys that have played for a
- 29:35Speaker 1: long time, ask them the questions. That's that's what my
- 29:38Speaker 1: biggest advice would be.
- 29:39Speaker 3: Definitely, man.
- 29:40Speaker 4: I would definitely be doing that, especially with a guy
- 29:42Speaker 4: like CMC and you got Fred Warner, Trent, got everybody
- 29:46Speaker 4: on this team to be able to learn from.
- 29:47Speaker 3: So I'll definitely be picking their brain.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Yeah, you should, you should. That's, that's going to be
- 29:51Speaker 1: big time and, and speak up for yourself. Well, rookies,
- 29:55Speaker 1: the rookies better seen, not, not heard. So just, you
- 29:57Speaker 1: know what I mean? And some of that, you know
- 29:59Speaker 1: what I mean? If they tell you to do something
- 30:01Speaker 1: that's rude, just do it.
- 30:02Speaker 3: It's easier.
- 30:03Speaker 1: There's no haze in the National Football League, but it's
- 30:05Speaker 1: easier to just do what they ask you to do.
- 30:07Speaker 3: Yeah, I got you.
- 30:09Speaker 1: All love, brother. I appreciate you joining me. I know
- 30:11Speaker 1: it's your off day. Thank you for taking the time
- 30:13Speaker 1: to hang out.
- 30:13Speaker 3: Hey, man. Thank you for having me on, man. I
- 30:15Speaker 3: appreciate you.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Yes, sir. Appreciate you.
- 30:18Speaker 3: All right.
- 30:20Speaker 1: Football is back, folks, and you need to change the
- 30:23Speaker 1: way you invest in the NFL this season. It's time
- 30:27Speaker 1: to finally ditch your old sportsbook apps because Polymarket is here.

- 31:48Speaker 1: This game preview is sponsored by Polymarket. We got Buffalo
- 31:52Speaker 1: versus Detroit on Thursday night football. I'll be there, Mitchell.
- 31:56Speaker 1: I know you'll be there.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Richard, I'm fired up to go to Buffalo, check out
- 32:00Speaker 2: the new stadium, and hopefully cheer on a Detroit Lions win.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Polymarket has Buffalo at 67% to win this game and
- 32:08Speaker 2: Detroit at 34%. Do you agree with Polymarket? Buffalo at 67%
- 32:13Speaker 2: to win this game. Richard, you know I'm rolling with
- 32:16Speaker 2: my Detroit Lions. I don't agree with this. What are
- 32:19Speaker 2: your thoughts?
- 32:20Speaker 1: Mitchell, I saw that Detroit Lions defense and the way
- 32:23Speaker 1: they struggled with Tyler Shaw. Wait until you see Josh Allen, Mitchell.
- 32:27Speaker 1: It's tough. It's tough for me to give them this
- 32:29Speaker 1: kind of win. Polly Market has the Bills at four
- 32:33Speaker 1: and a half point favorites. Do the Lions score more
- 32:37Speaker 1: than 24.5 points? Now, I believe in this Lions offense.
- 32:40Speaker 1: I believe it. I believe in Jared Goff. I believe
- 32:43Speaker 1: in Amon Ross, St. Brown, J-Mo, even though he had
- 32:46Speaker 1: a struggle of a game last week, Laporta, although Jameer Gibbs, yes,
- 32:50Speaker 1: I think they can go score points, Mitchell, but can
- 32:53Speaker 1: they stop them?
- 32:53Speaker 2: That's a big-time question. That's a huge question. There's going
- 32:56Speaker 2: to be a lot of emphasis on that exact question
- 32:59Speaker 2: in practice. I'm sure Dan Campbell is going to have
- 33:02Speaker 2: these boys ready to ride. If Detroit wants to start
- 33:05Speaker 2: talking about Super Bowl aspirations, they've got to be able
- 33:08Speaker 2: to go on the road and take care of the
- 33:10Speaker 2: Buffalo Bills. Richard, regardless of outcome, this is going to
- 33:14Speaker 2: be a great game. TNF couldn't have asked for a
- 33:17Speaker 2: better start to the season than the Buffalo against the
- 33:20Speaker 2: Detroit Lions. I like the Lions to cover. I like
- 33:24Speaker 2: the Lions to win. But do you think the Lions
- 33:26Speaker 2: will score more than 24.5 points?
- 33:29Speaker 1: Yes, yes. I think the Lions will score more than
- 33:32Speaker 1: 24.5 points. Like I said, I love their weapons. Amon Ross, St. Brown,
- 33:36Speaker 1: Jameer Gibbs, J-Mo, Laporta. With all those guys and Jared
- 33:41Speaker 1: Goff at the helm, I think they get it done.
- 33:43Speaker 1: I think they can score 27 points. But will that
- 33:46Speaker 1: be enough to beat Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills?
- 33:49Speaker 1: Who knows?
- 33:50Speaker 2: All right, Richard. You said you like the Lions over
- 33:54Speaker 2: 24.5 points, but what do you think the ultimate outcome
- 33:56Speaker 2: of this game is going to be?
- 33:58Speaker 1: Mitchell, they sent us a stat about teams opening their
- 34:02Speaker 1: new stadiums over the last five years. I think the
- 34:04Speaker 1: last four teams are 4-0, Mitchell, and now you're running
- 34:07Speaker 1: into the Buffalo Bills with Josh Allen at the helm
- 34:11Speaker 1: coming off a very strong game against a Texans defense
- 34:14Speaker 1: that was one of the best in the league last year,
- 34:16Speaker 1: and they put up 36 against them. Your defense gave
- 34:21Speaker 1: up 31 to Tyler Shaw in 410 yards through the air.
- 34:26Speaker 1: I got the Buffalo Bills in this one. I'm sorry, Detroit.
- 34:29Speaker 1: I'm sorry. It's tough.
- 34:31Speaker 2: Richard, they might not agree with you here in Detroit,
- 34:33Speaker 2: but if Detroit starts off fast, it could be a
- 34:36Speaker 2: great opportunity for you to trade out of your position.
- 34:39Speaker 1: No question about it, Mitchell. That's the best thing about Polymarket.
- 34:43Speaker 1: It's an alternative to traditional sportsbooks. You can get in
- 34:48Speaker 1: and out of your trades at any time. That's the
- 34:51Speaker 1: best part. You get to keep control.
- 34:54Speaker 2: Let's talk about two teams, one of which I'm very
- 34:57Speaker 2: high on, the other which you're very high on, the
- 34:59Speaker 2: Cincinnati Bengals taking on the Houston Texans. This Houston Texans
- 35:03Speaker 2: team calling card again was defense. They gave up 36
- 35:07Speaker 2: points to Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. How do
- 35:11Speaker 2: they bounce back and get a win against the Cincinnati Bengals, Richard?
- 35:14Speaker 2: We didn't see a whole lot of Jamar Chase in
- 35:16Speaker 2: week one. I expect him to be rolling here in
- 35:19Speaker 2: week two. and Joe Burrow, a healthy Joe Burrow. You
- 35:22Speaker 2: already know I like the Cincinnati Bengals, but what do
- 35:25Speaker 2: you see the Houston Texans changing to get a win
- 35:29Speaker 2: in week two against Cincinnati and the Joe Burrow-led Bengals?
- 35:35Speaker 1: Well, their big-time playmakers got to show up. I think
- 35:37Speaker 1: Daniil Hunter and Will Anderson have to get home. They
- 35:40Speaker 1: have to put more pressure on Joe Burrow. Your all-pro corner,
- 35:45Speaker 1: Derek Stingley Jr., has to make big plays. I think
- 35:48Speaker 1: he's going to follow Jamar Chase around in this game.
- 35:51Speaker 1: Kamari Lassiter has to have a better showing than he
- 35:53Speaker 1: did last week. He could have easily won them that
- 35:56Speaker 1: game at the end of the game. He had an
- 35:58Speaker 1: opportunity to intercept the football from Josh Allen. Josh Allen
- 36:01Speaker 1: put up an arm punt late in the game before
- 36:04Speaker 1: the touchdown, the game-winning touchdown. He throws an arm punt
- 36:07Speaker 1: to Kamari Lassiter, and he just drops it. I mean,
- 36:10Speaker 1: drops a gimme, a game-changing play. I mean, and that's
- 36:14Speaker 1: what happens when you miss touchdowns. Miss opportunities for big
- 36:18Speaker 1: plays when you fumble the football or when you make
- 36:23Speaker 1: mistakes like that defensively, when you miss opportunities, you get
- 36:26Speaker 1: punished right after. The football gods, that's just how it works, Mitchell.
- 36:30Speaker 1: You cannot miss opportunities on the defensive side of the
- 36:32Speaker 1: ball or it's going to come back to bite you
- 36:35Speaker 1: in the ass. And it came back the next play.
- 36:37Speaker 1: They attacked him with Josh Palmer, touchdown, right after to
- 36:41Speaker 1: win the game. And those are the plays that are
- 36:43Speaker 1: devastating for a corner because you're like, I had to
- 36:46Speaker 1: game one. You go from hero to zero in a flash,
- 36:50Speaker 1: and hopefully he can bounce back from that. I think
- 36:53Speaker 1: Kalen Bullock is one of the best safeties in the
- 36:57Speaker 1: National Football League. He's going to have to make a
- 36:59Speaker 1: bigger impact in this game. Aziz Alshair, our guy, friend
- 37:03Speaker 1: of the program, going to have to make a bigger
- 37:06Speaker 1: impact in this game. But again, Cincinnati Bengals, this Bengals
- 37:10Speaker 1: defense last week, early on in that game, they were
- 37:13Speaker 1: on fire, forced fire. Turnover after turnover after turnover. Three
- 37:17Speaker 1: fumbles in the first four drives. And the D-line got hot.
- 37:22Speaker 1: The pass rush got hot. They were playing violently. They
- 37:25Speaker 1: were playing fast. Now, they gave up some points in
- 37:27Speaker 1: the second half. Joe Burrow throws a pick six late
- 37:31Speaker 1: in that game. Things that can't happen. But I still,
- 37:36Speaker 1: I don't know. I have a hard time. Let me
- 37:39Speaker 1: think about it, Mitchell. You go first on this one.
- 37:42Speaker 2: Well, the Vegas line right now is two and a
- 37:45Speaker 2: half in the favor of the Houston Texans. The favorite
- 37:48Speaker 2: are the Texans, which tells me on a neutral field,
- 37:50Speaker 2: the favorite would be the Cincinnati Bengals because there's always
- 37:53Speaker 2: a three-point bias for the home team, generally speaking. That
- 37:57Speaker 2: being said, man, I am high on the Cincinnati Bengals
- 38:01Speaker 2: this year. I got to stick with that call. If
- 38:03Speaker 2: they're going to be the team I think they can be,
- 38:05Speaker 2: they got to win this game. I think they go
- 38:07Speaker 2: on the road. and get a win in Houston against
- 38:11Speaker 2: a team that's in desperate need of a win and
- 38:14Speaker 2: to avoid going 0-2. I think the Bengals stay hot, though.
- 38:18Speaker 2: I think they leave Houston with a win. I got
- 38:21Speaker 2: them putting some points on the board, Richard. I think
- 38:24Speaker 2: this Houston defense, they might be great on paper, but
- 38:27Speaker 2: they might need some seasoning to start the season. I
- 38:30Speaker 2: got them putting up 31 points. I got them winning
- 38:32Speaker 2: this game 31-27. A little bit of a shootout. Joe
- 38:34Speaker 2: Burrow and Cole. A little bit of a shootout. go
- 38:38Speaker 2: on the road in Houston and get the win. You
- 38:41Speaker 2: heard it here first.
- 38:43Speaker 1: I got it differently, Mitchell. I got the Houston Texans
- 38:46Speaker 1: defense waking up, remembering who they are, coming with a
- 38:50Speaker 1: lot more force, a lot more aggression, trying to make
- 38:52Speaker 1: up for that tough loss that they had against Josh Allen.
- 38:55Speaker 1: Facing Josh Allen and Joe Burrow to start the season
- 38:58Speaker 1: is tough for any team. I got the Houston Texans
- 39:01Speaker 1: winning this game 24-17.
- 39:04Speaker 2: Okay, we shall see. Let's go to the NFC North.
- 39:08Speaker 2: Two teams that I hope lose every single Sunday. The
- 39:12Speaker 2: Minnesota Vikings travel to Chicago to take on the 59-point
- 39:17Speaker 2: scoring Chicago Bears. I mean, between the two of these teams,
- 39:20Speaker 2: they put up 98 points in week one. 39 by
- 39:24Speaker 2: the Vikings, 59 by the Bears. Carson Wentz is going
- 39:28Speaker 2: to be starting this game. Kyler Murray took a nasty
- 39:30Speaker 2: hit suffered a concussion is going to be out I
- 39:33Speaker 2: don't know how long but Carson Wentz the veteran QB
- 39:36Speaker 2: goes under center for the Vikings the Bears I mean
- 39:41Speaker 2: can they keep this offensive firepower red hot that's the
- 39:46Speaker 2: question that I have right now Are the Bears that good,
- 39:50Speaker 2: or did they just come out the better team in
- 39:53Speaker 2: week one? Richard, what are you looking for in this game?
- 39:56Speaker 2: Because it's an interesting one in the NFC North. It
- 40:00Speaker 2: seems like a wide open field for all these teams
- 40:02Speaker 2: in the North. Who do you like more, the Vikings
- 40:06Speaker 2: or the Bears?
- 40:07Speaker 1: Well, it's going to be a tough one. It's going
- 40:09Speaker 1: to come down to Brian Flores and that aggressive Minnesota
- 40:12Speaker 1: Vikings defense. Obviously, Caleb Williams. and this Bears offense looked
- 40:17Speaker 1: like world beaters last week against the Carolina Panthers, scoring
- 40:21Speaker 1: 59 points. Their two lead backs combined for 224 yards
- 40:25Speaker 1: on the ground on 28 carries. I think it's going
- 40:30Speaker 1: to be tough, but if you look at last year,
- 40:33Speaker 1: they played the Minnesota Vikings in the first game of
- 40:35Speaker 1: the season, and they lost 27-24. Then they played them
- 40:37Speaker 1: later in the year and won 19-17 in a nail-biter.
- 40:39Speaker 1: That's it. That's a close game. So it's hard to
- 40:47Speaker 1: predict what they're going to do in this game. A
- 40:51Speaker 1: division game is supposed to be close. It's supposed to
- 40:53Speaker 1: be a nail-biter. It's supposed to be a dogfight. This
- 40:56Speaker 1: is going to be a pick-em type game because the
- 41:01Speaker 1: Vikings defense is going to create problems for Caleb Williams.
- 41:05Speaker 1: Even if Ben Johnson gets that run game going, I
- 41:09Speaker 1: don't know if they're going to just be displacing the
- 41:12Speaker 1: Minnesota Vikings like they did the Carolina Panthers. But who knows?
- 41:15Speaker 1: They could just be a juggernaut that we just have
- 41:17Speaker 1: never seen before. I do have the Bears winning this game, though.
- 41:22Speaker 1: Carson Wentz is probably the difference for me. Just quarterback
- 41:26Speaker 1: in general. I don't think I'd feel very much different
- 41:28Speaker 1: if Kyler Murray was playing or if J.J. McCarthy was playing.
- 41:32Speaker 1: I think I'd still have them at a huge disadvantage
- 41:36Speaker 1: at the quarterback position. And on the other side of
- 41:40Speaker 1: the football... The Bears defense really struggled. They gave up
- 41:45Speaker 1: 37 points last week. They can't do that again. I
- 41:48Speaker 1: think that's a wake-up call. Those guys will try to
- 41:51Speaker 1: play better this week. I got the Bears winning this
- 41:53Speaker 1: game 32-19. I, too, like the Bears.
- 42:01Speaker 2: Polly Market gives the Chicago Bears a 69% shot to
- 42:05Speaker 2: win this game.
- 42:07Speaker 1: I like the Bears.
- 42:07Speaker 2: I think they continue this. Ben Johnson is... someone to
- 42:13Speaker 2: keep your eyes out for, man, because this guy knows football.
- 42:16Speaker 2: He knows offense. He's brought in a ton of talent
- 42:19Speaker 2: into Chicago ever since being there and has surrounded Caleb
- 42:22Speaker 2: Williams with everything he could possibly need. Caleb Williams is
- 42:25Speaker 2: a guy that graced the Madden cover. There was a
- 42:27Speaker 2: lot of hype of him coming into the season, and
- 42:29Speaker 2: he dominated in week one. If he goes out and
- 42:31Speaker 2: has a solid showing in week two, do you think
- 42:35Speaker 2: this is a name we could see at the end
- 42:37Speaker 2: of the season in that MEP race?
- 42:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, he started the season with four touchdowns overall,
- 42:43Speaker 1: but so did Bryce Young. But if they're playing well
- 42:46Speaker 1: and they're the number one seed somehow in the NFC
- 42:49Speaker 1: over the Seattle Seahawks and L.A. Rams and San Francisco
- 42:53Speaker 1: 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles, and he's playing great football, no
- 42:56Speaker 1: question about it. You can see his name because he's
- 42:59Speaker 1: doing it with his legs. He's doing it with his arms.
- 43:01Speaker 1: Ben Johnson is going to continue to draw it up
- 43:03Speaker 1: for him. He's getting better with time. He's developing into
- 43:06Speaker 1: the quarterback they thought he could be when he came
- 43:08Speaker 1: out of USC. But we'll see. I think he's in
- 43:13Speaker 1: the perfect situation with the perfect head coach. Some weapons
- 43:18Speaker 1: around him that can be explosive. A guy you really like,
- 43:23Speaker 1: Colston Loveland, is going to be a great tight end
- 43:26Speaker 1: in this National Football League. And I think he's going
- 43:27Speaker 1: to continue to be a great weapon for Caleb. Yeah,
- 43:30Speaker 1: I think he has a chance. But again, there are
- 43:34Speaker 1: certain guys that you always expect to be there. Lamar Jackson...
- 43:38Speaker 1: Josh Allen, who's having a phenomenal start to the season.
- 43:41Speaker 1: Both guys having a phenomenal start to the season. Joe
- 43:44Speaker 1: Burrow didn't have the start that I think he probably wanted,
- 43:46Speaker 1: but he'll be in that conversation. Brock Purdy, if he
- 43:49Speaker 1: continues to play well, will be in that conversation. So
- 43:52Speaker 1: we'll see.
- 43:54Speaker 2: Pittsburgh Steelers taking on the New England Patriots. New England
- 43:58Speaker 2: goes on the road last week, suffers a loss to
- 44:00Speaker 2: your Seattle Seahawks. This is a tough spot for the
- 44:04Speaker 2: Patriots to be in. Without their number one acquisition this
- 44:08Speaker 2: offseason in A.J. Brown, he goes on the IR with
- 44:11Speaker 2: an ankle injury. They're going to have to respond quick
- 44:14Speaker 2: to avoid going 0-2. Aaron Rodgers comes to town. Richard,
- 44:20Speaker 2: the Pittsburgh Steelers... I don't know how it is. They
- 44:23Speaker 2: won the division last year. They've added Michael Pittman Jr.,
- 44:26Speaker 2: obviously DK Metcalf's back, Rico Dowdle's in there now. I
- 44:31Speaker 2: think the Steelers have more offensive weapons this year than last.
- 44:35Speaker 2: What do the New England Patriots have to do to
- 44:37Speaker 2: avoid going 0-2 to start the season, fresh off of
- 44:41Speaker 2: a Super Bowl loss back in February?
- 44:45Speaker 1: They're going to have to push the ball down the field,
- 44:47Speaker 1: and they're going to have to show that they can
- 44:49Speaker 1: push the ball down the field and open up that
- 44:51Speaker 1: run game. Drake May is going to have to shake
- 44:53Speaker 1: off the nightmare that it was to be in Seattle
- 45:00Speaker 1: last week and play the Seattle Seahawks. He's had a
- 45:02Speaker 1: struggle with them. Can the Pittsburgh Steelers take anything from
- 45:06Speaker 1: what Mike McDonald was able to do in the last
- 45:08Speaker 1: two games against Drake May and maybe put together a
- 45:11Speaker 1: plan that helps contain him? We will see. Now people
- 45:14Speaker 1: are starting to say his last season was a fraud
- 45:16Speaker 1: because he hasn't played well against Seattle in two games.
- 45:21Speaker 1: I don't think that's the case. I don't think Drake
- 45:24Speaker 1: Mays just regressed in a tremendous way. I think he's fine,
- 45:28Speaker 1: but they're going to have to run the football. They're
- 45:31Speaker 1: going to have to run the football. They're going to
- 45:32Speaker 1: have to run the football better. He's going to have
- 45:33Speaker 1: to spread the football around a lot better. I think
- 45:39Speaker 1: They're going to have to protect him better than they
- 45:41Speaker 1: did against the Seattle Seahawks. And I think Pittsburgh has a,
- 45:45Speaker 1: you know, T.J. Watt looked great last week. He's the
- 45:48Speaker 1: reason they won that game against the Atlanta Falcons. He
- 45:52Speaker 1: has a couple sacks and a pick six. A guy
- 45:55Speaker 1: that can literally wreck a game. And as long as
- 45:57Speaker 1: he's out there, they got a chance. They have a
- 45:59Speaker 1: lot of D linemen that can get home. They have
- 46:02Speaker 1: a good secondary, a good aggressive secondary. What can the
- 46:06Speaker 1: Patriots do defensively against Aaron Rodgers in this past game?
- 46:10Speaker 1: They didn't look great, super great last week. But again,
- 46:13Speaker 1: knocking the rust off, figuring it out. Can they get
- 46:16Speaker 1: it done? Can they push the ball down the field
- 46:18Speaker 1: with Pittman and DK Metcalf? That is to be seen.
- 46:22Speaker 1: This is a tough game to call. This is a
- 46:25Speaker 1: really tough game to call. I know New England's the favorite,
- 46:29Speaker 1: but this just feels like one of those games that
- 46:31Speaker 1: Pittsburgh makes really ugly and grind it out and gritty,
- 46:35Speaker 1: and they find a way to kick a field goal
- 46:37Speaker 1: at the end and walk away with the win. So... I...
- 46:40Speaker 1: See you in New England. I got New England.
- 47:01Speaker 2: 21-17. You paused there and I understand why you did.
- 47:08Speaker 2: I mean, the Pittsburgh Steelers, this is a team obviously
- 47:11Speaker 2: led by a veteran quarterback and the Patriots, I just
- 47:14Speaker 2: feel like they're a team that everyone's going to have
- 47:17Speaker 2: on their radar all season long. They won the AFC
- 47:21Speaker 2: last year. How do they respond to that when they're
- 47:24Speaker 2: getting other teams best? You know, that's, That's a question
- 47:28Speaker 2: I have. I like the Steelers simply because without A.J. Brown,
- 47:33Speaker 2: the Patriots are going to be trying to figure something
- 47:36Speaker 2: out in week two again. They don't have Travion Henderson.
- 47:39Speaker 2: They don't have A.J.
- 47:40Speaker 1: Brown.
- 47:41Speaker 2: Give me the Steelers in a road upset. It's going
- 47:43Speaker 2: to be close. 24-21 Steelers is what I'm going with.
- 47:49Speaker 2: The question the Steelers are facing internally is, is with
- 47:53Speaker 2: Joey Porter Jr. We saw Christian Gonzalez most recently become
- 47:57Speaker 2: the highest paid corner in the NFL. A week before that,
- 48:00Speaker 2: we saw Devin Witherspoon set the market. Now Joey Porter
- 48:04Speaker 2: wants his share of that money. How do you think
- 48:07Speaker 2: this all ends for Pittsburgh? There's rumors swirling that he
- 48:10Speaker 2: might be traded. Where do you think this all nets out?
- 48:13Speaker 2: And what do you think the right organizational move is
- 48:16Speaker 2: for the Pittsburgh Steelers right now?
- 48:19Speaker 1: I think the right organizational move is to hold on
- 48:21Speaker 1: to him. It's tough to move guys during the season.
- 48:24Speaker 1: It's tough to come up with that kind of money
- 48:26Speaker 1: because you've got to trade him to a scheme that
- 48:29Speaker 1: he'll have to learn unless they're playing exactly what the
- 48:31Speaker 1: Pittsburgh Steelers are playing. Now, a smart DB, which Joey
- 48:36Speaker 1: Porter Jr. is, can come in and adjust to the
- 48:39Speaker 1: scheme and play at a high level. I don't think
- 48:41Speaker 1: that'd be an issue. But who's willing to pay him
- 48:45Speaker 1: more than Christian Gonzalez? That's the real question. Is anybody
- 48:48Speaker 1: willing to pay him more than what Christian Gonzalez or
- 48:53Speaker 1: more than what the Pittsburgh Steelers are willing to pay him.
- 48:57Speaker 1: I think when you see that situation, we don't have
- 49:01Speaker 1: all the information and we're not doing an investigation into it,
- 49:05Speaker 1: but I'm sure teams that are interested are investigating and
- 49:07Speaker 1: they'll talk to the Pittsburgh Steelers and ask them, hey, simply,
- 49:11Speaker 1: what number are you guys at? And if the number's
- 49:14Speaker 1: too high, that may scare teams away. So I don't
- 49:18Speaker 1: know if you'll get a resolution unless somebody gives Pittsburgh
- 49:22Speaker 1: an offer you just can't refuse on top of wanting
- 49:24Speaker 1: to pay Joey Porter Jr. top-of-the-market cornerback money, and I'm
- 49:29Speaker 1: not sure anybody will do that. Yeah.
- 49:35Speaker 2: He's already told the Pittsburgh organization, allegedly, that he won't
- 49:38Speaker 2: commit to anything. The Steelers, I'm sorry, have already told
- 49:41Speaker 2: them that they won't commit to anything over $ 33 million
- 49:44Speaker 2: a year. So we're going to see how this all
- 49:46Speaker 2: plays out in Pittsburgh. It's a big name to keep
- 49:48Speaker 2: an eye on. Polly Market likes the New England Patriots.
- 49:52Speaker 2: They give them a 69% likelihood to win this game.
- 49:55Speaker 2: A team that is in must-win territory right now. I
- 49:59Speaker 2: know it's early in the season, but no one ever
- 50:01Speaker 2: wants to start 0-2. This is one of the games
- 50:04Speaker 2: to keep our eyes on Let's talk a little bit
- 50:06Speaker 2: about the Jacksonville Jaguars. Trevor Lawrence, a guy I know
- 50:10Speaker 2: you're a huge fan of now, Richard.
- 50:12Speaker 1: Huge fan. Huge fan. Got me a jersey, Mitchell.
- 50:16Speaker 2: I'm going to get you one. I'm going to get
- 50:17Speaker 2: you one. But the Denver Broncos, I mean, we saw
- 50:19Speaker 2: them on Monday Night Football look like a shell of
- 50:21Speaker 2: themselves from last year. Bo Nix is back. He's healthy again.
- 50:25Speaker 2: They get the highly-taughted Jalen Waddell over the offseason. He
- 50:29Speaker 2: didn't do anything. Cortland Sutton didn't do much of anything.
- 50:33Speaker 2: a lot of question marks around this Denver Broncos team.
- 50:37Speaker 2: Their defense got obliterated. Their offense didn't look good. And
- 50:41Speaker 2: then they're going to be playing against a red-hot Jacksonville
- 50:45Speaker 2: Jaguars team who's been hot stemming into last year. So
- 50:49Speaker 2: this is a game that could be high-flying offensively. And
- 50:52Speaker 2: if the Denver Broncos can't keep up, they might be
- 50:55Speaker 2: starting 0-2. Who do you like, the Jags or the
- 50:59Speaker 2: Denver in Mile High?
- 51:02Speaker 1: Mitchell, I think this goes back to what you talked
- 51:05Speaker 1: about a few games ago. They're what, two and a
- 51:09Speaker 1: half point? The Denver Broncos are two and a half
- 51:11Speaker 1: point favorites at home, which means they're underdogs, which means
- 51:14Speaker 1: technically they're underdogs. And if they're underdogs at home after
- 51:18Speaker 1: the season they had last year and all the expectations
- 51:21Speaker 1: and all the changes and growth that they had, then
- 51:24Speaker 1: that means I think the Jacksonville Jaguars are going to
- 51:26Speaker 1: win this game. I really do. It just Watching the
- 51:30Speaker 1: Denver Broncos last night against the Kansas City Chiefs, they
- 51:33Speaker 1: looked overwhelmed, overmatched. Like, I mean, it did not look
- 51:38Speaker 1: like the same team that they were last year. Can
- 51:41Speaker 1: Davis Webb change it up? Can he grow? Will he
- 51:45Speaker 1: have a leap from week one to week two? I
- 51:47Speaker 1: don't know. But I know that Jacksonville Jaguars defense is
- 51:52Speaker 1: red hot. Josh Hines-Allen. is getting hot. That D-line is
- 51:56Speaker 1: getting hot. Our guy, Alua Khan, got him an interception
- 51:59Speaker 1: in his game. They continue to be really opportunistic in
- 52:03Speaker 1: the secondary and in the linebacking core, getting the football.
- 52:07Speaker 1: I think Travis Hunter is going to make an impact
- 52:09Speaker 1: in this game. They'll probably have him follow. I don't
- 52:13Speaker 1: know if they'll have him follow. They'll probably keep him
- 52:15Speaker 1: left and right because Waddle's a good receiver as well. Again,
- 52:20Speaker 1: there's not a comfort level there. Evan Ingram got a
- 52:22Speaker 1: touchdown last week, but I don't see any rhythm or
- 52:25Speaker 1: rhyme or reason to this offense. And then on the
- 52:27Speaker 1: defensive side, where it's supposed to be a strength of
- 52:30Speaker 1: the Denver Broncos, they couldn't tackle anything. I mean, they couldn't.
- 52:33Speaker 1: I've never seen them tackle so bad in a game.
- 52:36Speaker 1: I've never seen them miss so many tackles in a game.
- 52:38Speaker 1: And it was every level of the defense was missing tackles.
- 52:41Speaker 1: So when you're going against a team like the Jacksonville
- 52:44Speaker 1: Jaguars and Trevor Lawrence, who are believing, who are confident,
- 52:50Speaker 1: Parker Washington looks like he's going to have a case
- 52:53Speaker 1: to be top five receiver in the National Football League
- 52:57Speaker 1: if they keep feeding him the ball. Jacoby Myers, Brian
- 53:00Speaker 1: Thomas Jr., they have the weapons and they're distributing it,
- 53:05Speaker 1: and Trevor Lawrence is playing with confidence, getting him the ball,
- 53:07Speaker 1: pushing the ball down the field. They're going to be
- 53:11Speaker 1: a tough team to beat. With the way the Broncos
- 53:15Speaker 1: looked last week, I just don't see a way they
- 53:17Speaker 1: could beat the Jacksonville Jaguars without... Jonathan Cooper coming back,
- 53:24Speaker 1: and he's not coming back anytime soon. So their pass
- 53:28Speaker 1: rush wasn't getting home. They didn't put a ton of pressure.
- 53:30Speaker 1: Trevor Lawrence is actually a lot more mobile than people
- 53:33Speaker 1: give him credit for. I mean, they couldn't handle Patrick Mahomes,
- 53:36Speaker 1: and Patrick Mahomes is coming back from the knee and
- 53:39Speaker 1: not 100% and still trying to get his legs under him.
- 53:42Speaker 1: Trevor Lawrence was in rhythm at the end of the
- 53:44Speaker 1: last year, and it seems like he's continued that.
- 53:47Speaker 2: And like you said, he's got a plethora of weapons
- 53:49Speaker 2: to take advantage of The Broncos need to write this
- 53:53Speaker 2: course quick. They're facing the same kind of storyline the
- 53:56Speaker 2: New England Patriots are. Polly Market likes Denver, gives them
- 54:01Speaker 2: a 59% likelihood to win this game.
- 54:04Speaker 1: We'll see.
- 54:04Speaker 2: But I like Jacksonville. I'm right there with you. And
- 54:07Speaker 2: I like them to win by at least a touchdown, honestly.
- 54:11Speaker 2: You look at two teams, one of which has been
- 54:13Speaker 2: red hot and the other which that is struggling to
- 54:15Speaker 2: find their identity early in the season. Give me Jacksonville.
- 54:19Speaker 2: All right, Richard, I got to have a final score
- 54:20Speaker 2: projection here. I feel like you're leaning heavily towards the
- 54:23Speaker 2: Jacksonville Jaguars, which I like to see. I'm Jacksonville Jaguars fans.
- 54:27Speaker 3: Come on.
- 54:27Speaker 2: I'm trying to give you guys as much love as
- 54:29Speaker 2: possible here and steer Richard in the right direction. What
- 54:33Speaker 2: do you see the final outcome being in this one?
- 54:36Speaker 1: I think this high-flying Jacksonville Jaguars offense is It's going
- 54:42Speaker 1: to get going. I'm hoping the Broncos defense has a
- 54:47Speaker 1: wake-up call and Vance Joseph can get those boys motivated
- 54:51Speaker 1: and locked in. But I got the Jacksonville Jaguars coming
- 54:55Speaker 1: into Denver, going into Mile High, and coming out with
- 54:58Speaker 1: a win 24-16. I think that's fair. I think it's
- 55:02Speaker 1: going to be hard for me to understand a world where–
- 55:08Speaker 1: where Denver's scoring a ton of points. Until they show me,
- 55:12Speaker 1: until Davis Webb shows me that he can call the offense,
- 55:15Speaker 1: that can really put points on the board, that's where
- 55:18Speaker 1: I'm at. That's where I'm at with it.
- 55:21Speaker 2: I respect it. Let's take a look at the NFC East,
- 55:24Speaker 2: two teams that are 0-1 to start the season. The
- 55:27Speaker 2: Washington Commanders take on the Dallas Cowboys. Boy, I guess
- 55:33Speaker 2: right out the gates, who needs this win more to
- 55:36Speaker 2: avoid going 0-2? the Commanders or the Cowboys?
- 55:42Speaker 1: Well, I would say it's the Cowboys because the expectations
- 55:45Speaker 1: were higher. The Commanders battled with the Philadelphia Eagles. They
- 55:50Speaker 1: failed on the two-point conversion. They lost the game, but
- 55:52Speaker 1: they looked solid. They looked solid. You could see their promise.
- 55:56Speaker 1: The young guys played well. They made it a game
- 56:00Speaker 1: with the Philadelphia Eagles. And I think the Dallas Cowboys
- 56:04Speaker 1: looked solid. really sad last week. They looked sad. They
- 56:07Speaker 1: looked pathetic. And so defensively, you watch the simple game
- 56:11Speaker 1: plan really just dismantle the Dallas Cowboys. They could not
- 56:14Speaker 1: get a stop. They could not stop making bonehead penalties.
- 56:17Speaker 1: Their great players didn't play great in the game. So
- 56:20Speaker 1: they needed more because Dallas is a star. It's such
- 56:23Speaker 1: a bigger market. It's a bigger pool. It's a bigger draw.
- 56:26Speaker 1: The media is going to talk about it more. If
- 56:27Speaker 1: they go 0-2, the noise around Dallas is going to
- 56:30Speaker 1: be a lot louder than the noise around Washington if
- 56:34Speaker 1: they are 0-2. They're not expected to do a ton
- 56:36Speaker 1: this season. If they do, cool. If they don't, you know, okay.
- 56:41Speaker 1: But Dallas invested a lot of money in their defense,
- 56:43Speaker 1: a lot of draft capital in their defense, and you
- 56:47Speaker 1: expect it to pay dividends. They're paying two receivers over
- 56:50Speaker 1: $ 30 million. You expect it to pay dividends. You're paying
- 56:55Speaker 1: your quarterback $ 60 million. You expect it to pay dividends.
- 56:58Speaker 1: Javante Williams is a good running back. You expect it
- 57:00Speaker 1: to pay dividends. and it did not show against the Giants,
- 57:04Speaker 1: and a lot of that was because they only got
- 57:06Speaker 1: two possessions offensively in the second half against the Giants.
- 57:09Speaker 1: That's a big deal. But if they lose this game,
- 57:14Speaker 1: big-time conversations are being had. So who do you got?
- 57:17Speaker 2: Is it the Commanders or the Cowboys?
- 57:21Speaker 1: I'm going to give it to the Cowboys just out
- 57:24Speaker 1: of hopes and prayers for them. You know what I mean?
- 57:26Speaker 1: I'm a steady beating heart and a wish and a prayer.
- 57:29Speaker 1: I'm going to go with the Dallas Cowboys. Because they're
- 57:32Speaker 1: the more talented. They're the better team. But we'll see. Again,
- 57:38Speaker 1: games aren't won on paper. They're won on the grass.
- 57:41Speaker 1: And if they don't win in Dallas, boy, I expect
- 57:43Speaker 1: the Bulls to start in that stadium. I, too, like Dallas.
- 57:48Speaker 2: I think they need to respond in this game. Being
- 57:50Speaker 2: at home certainly helps. I got the Dallas Cowboys winning
- 57:53Speaker 2: this game by four. Random score out there, 26-22 Dallas.
- 57:58Speaker 2: That is my projection. Let's take a look at The
- 58:03Speaker 2: Indianapolis Colts, led by Indiana Jones and this Indianapolis Colts team,
- 58:08Speaker 2: taking on the Kansas City Chiefs, who looked like they
- 58:12Speaker 2: could be a juggernaut based on what we saw on
- 58:14Speaker 2: Monday night. With a Kenneth Walker canine behind Patrick Mahomes,
- 58:20Speaker 2: they finally have a run game for the first time.
- 58:22Speaker 2: And Patrick Mahomes' career is a starter. We were talking
- 58:26Speaker 2: about it prior to us getting on, and I know
- 58:28Speaker 2: you talked about it when you did your recap of
- 58:30Speaker 2: the game. he has a starter and Patrick Mahomes has
- 58:33Speaker 2: not had a thousand yard rusher behind him. I mean,
- 58:36Speaker 2: Isaiah Pacheco was the leader in that clubhouse with 935 yards.
- 58:40Speaker 2: So how much does it change things for the Kansas
- 58:44Speaker 2: city chiefs to have a solid run game like they
- 58:47Speaker 2: do in a reliable back, a bell cow for once
- 58:51Speaker 2: behind Patrick Mahomes and Kenneth Walker, the third.
- 58:56Speaker 1: It changes, changes things dramatically. Um, It takes a lot
- 58:59Speaker 1: of pressure off the defense because a great running, you
- 59:02Speaker 1: know what helps a great defense? A great running game.
- 59:04Speaker 1: It shortens the game. Uh, you win the time possession
- 59:07Speaker 1: and that's what they did in the first drive. They
- 59:09Speaker 1: just grinded it out, controlled the clock, took pressure off
- 59:12Speaker 1: their defense. You give your defense a break so that
- 59:14Speaker 1: they can come back fresh and, and, and continue to
- 59:17Speaker 1: play man coverage and continue to attack. That's, that was their, uh,
- 59:22Speaker 1: that was the recipe for success against the Denver Broncos.
- 59:24Speaker 1: And I think they continue that. Um, They watch the
- 59:28Speaker 1: Baltimore Ravens run the ball down the Indianapolis Colts' throat,
- 59:33Speaker 1: and I think they're going to take the same game plan,
- 59:35Speaker 1: and they're going to try to run it down their throat.
- 59:37Speaker 1: They're going to get a steady dose of Kenneth Walker,
- 59:39Speaker 1: and then when they stack the box for Kenneth Walker,
- 59:41Speaker 1: I expect them to take deep shots down the field,
- 59:45Speaker 1: try to find Travis Kelsey in the middle, try to
- 59:48Speaker 1: find Rasheed Rice in the middle of the field, try
- 59:52Speaker 1: to find Xavier Worthy down the field or Thornton down
- 59:54Speaker 1: the field. There's just so many weapons there. And I
- 59:57Speaker 1: think this is a tough game for the Indianapolis Colts.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: They did not look, at least Indiana Jones, and again,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: you're coming off an injury, he did not look as
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: good as he did to start the last season. And
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: can he look better this game? Jonathan Taylor looked fantastic,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: but you got to play some defense, and Jonathan Taylor
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: isn't playing defense. They got to play defense better than
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: they did last week. They can't give up 41 points,
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: and I don't think the Kansas City Chiefs are going
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: to do them any favors. I think the Kansas City
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: Chiefs defense is playing at a high level, and their
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: offense is rolling. So I got the Kansas City Chiefs
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: winning this game 28-14.
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: Since acquiring Sauce Gardner last season, the Indianapolis Colts have
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: only won one game in the U.S. The New York
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: Jets have won three in that same span. It just
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: goes to show you how quickly this team fell off.
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: They were one of the hottest teams in football midway
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: through the season last year. and they're just not the
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: same team ever since Daniel Jones got banged up. I
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: don't know how they refined their identity, because they were
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: clicking at all cylinders last year, and they just looked
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: like a complete shell of themselves. I don't have much
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: faith in this Indianapolis Colts team right now. You give
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: up 41 points to the Ravens, who are led by
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: a new coach as well. You figured that they would
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: have a little bit of growing pains in week one.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: Baltimore looked like they were in mid-season form, so Seeing
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: what I saw on Monday night with the Chiefs taking
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: care of the Denver Broncos, I don't see a reason
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: to see anything different. I got the Chiefs taking care
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: of business handily against this Indianapolis Colts team.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: But another thing you've got to remember, Mitchell, they get
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: rid of Michael Pittman. They get rid of Adonai Mitchell
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: after that blunder of a play versus the Rams. They're
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: a much different team, and I don't think people are
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: taking that into account. They don't have the same weapons
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: that they did last year. And again, you use all
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: that draft capital to get Sauce Gardner. And again, it's
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: about impact. It's about impact and return on investment. And
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: Sauce Gardner can do his job as well as he
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: possibly can. But if Derrick Henry's running for 144 yards
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: and three touchdowns, how much does Sauce Gardner affect that?
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: It looked like Lamar Jackson was having his way. He
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: had a great game. So again, you invest so much
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: money and so much draft capital into guys that I
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: don't know if you're ever going to see the return
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: that you need to see to invest that kind of
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: money and draft capital into them. Unless you're getting a
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: high turnover guy. Unless you're getting a guy that's going
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: to get you two, three interceptions or eight interceptions a season.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: Then you can say, okay, this guy is changing the
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: game in this unique way. But if you're not getting that,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: I think it's tough. to invest and trade all that
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: capital for guys. And that's just my opinion. But teams
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: have done it. And I think that's the issue. That's
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: one of the big issues with how teams are starting
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: to construct these rosters. No doubt.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: Polymarket, Kansas City's trading at 74% likelihood to win this game.
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: What do you see the final score being?
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: I see the final score in this game being Kansas
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: City Chiefs 28, Indianapolis Colts, 13.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: I'm not far off from you. Los Angeles versus New York.
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: You can catch all the action on Monday night on
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: your terms with Sling TV. Richard, we got a good
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: one on our hands here. The New York Giants taking
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: on the Los Angeles Rams. The New York Giants, major
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: upset in week one, taking down the Dallas Cowboys. A
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: lot of folks had the Cowboys in that game, but
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: not so fast. The Giants start hot. What does this
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: team have to do to go back-to-back to start the
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: season with two major upsets?
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: Well, I think this one's going to be a lot
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: tougher than the last one. Matthew Stafford, Puka Nakula, Devontae Adams,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: Kyron Williams, Blake Corum, they're not just going to fall
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: asleep at the wheel. They're going to put up some points.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: They're going to attack this defense. They're going to challenge
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: them and challenge their principles. I think on the other
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: side of the ball, Chris Shula, and that defense is
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: going to be raring to go. Obviously, they're going to
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: be without Myles Garrett, but I think they're going to
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: have a better plan for their corners, and they're going
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: to bring some pressure and make Jackson Dart figure it out.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: I think, obviously, John Harbaugh is going to have a
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: great plan. They're going to use Isaiah's likely. That's been
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: a big part of the plan, Malik Nabors, but In
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: order for the Giants to win this game, they're going
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: to have to score early and control the clock, keep
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: this offense, keep the reigning MVP off the field. If
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: they can do that, then they'll have a chance. But
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: I think Sean McVay, after that debacle in Australia, is
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: going to be very motivated. This team's going to be
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: very motivated. I think the Rams are going to win
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: this one.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: We saw John Harbaugh come in for the Giants in
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: week one and looked like he totally changed the identity
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: of this team. Obviously, he's got a proven track record
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: coming over from Baltimore. How does one guy change the
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: culture of a team so quickly?
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: Well, he sets standards. He sets standards that everybody must meet.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: And when you're changing a culture, it's about accountability. It's
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: about work ethic. It's about setting goals and then reaching
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: the goals. It's about meeting guys where they are. And
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: John Harbaugh has done all those things. He's challenged guys
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: with their own ambitions. Hey, you guys want to be
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: Super Bowl champions? Well, that's not just something that should
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: be said. That's not just rhetoric. You got to show me.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: And I think that's what these guys have done. They've
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: tried to show him that they want to be Super
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: Bowl champions with their work ethic. You heard All training camp,
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: when they had joint practices, they would go after the
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: practice is done and go do wind sprints and go
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: do gassers so that they could show the other team, hey,
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: you guys didn't do anything to us. We needed more work,
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: so we ran after practice. We're going to be the
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: best conditioned team in the National Football League. And that
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: gives you a chance. That's an old school brand of football.
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: Statistically, if a team starts 0-2, Richard, over the course
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: of NFL history, they're given about a 10% likelihood to
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: make the playoffs. That being said, if the Rams go
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: 0-2 and lose this game to the Giants, is their
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: season over?
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: No, no, no. Their season isn't over if they lose
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: this game. But if they do, I guarantee you that
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: there's going to be a guy on the Giants that's
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: a factor. Likely factor. See what I did there, Mitchell?
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: I like that.
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: I like Isaiah Likely. Look out for him. Tight end
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: for the New York Giants. I like what you did there, Richard.
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: So start watching football the smart way. Whether it's a

- 1:06:43Speaker 2: hours of live TV starting at just $ 4.
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: 99.
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: Drop who you got in the comments and watch the
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: game on Sling. Well, we've entered the fourth quarter of
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: the Richard Sherman Podcast. I'm going to ask you a
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: couple questions here. Just looking for a quick hitter. Who's
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: going to win and why? We tend to drag on
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: and on and on with these. We'll see how succinct
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: we can possibly make these. The 0-1 Packers facing the
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: New York Jets, fresh off a week one victory against
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: Robert Sala and the Tennessee Titans. Do you expect the
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: Packers to bounce back and get a win against New
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: York in this Jets team?
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: I do. I expect them to win, but I'm rooting
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: for Geno. I'm rooting for Geno and these Jets, J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: I'm not sure they have enough to stop Jordan Love
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: and this Packers offense. After a really devastating loss and
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: a monumental collapse in the fourth quarter against the Minnesota Vikings.
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: The New Orleans Saints gave my Detroit Lions everything we
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: could possibly ask for. Ultimately lose in overtime thanks to
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: a failed two-point conversion. They take on the Baltimore Ravens
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: who looked pretty dominant in week one. Do the Saints
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: bounce back and get a win? First off, are the
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: Saints a legitimate team? Do you see them as a
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: team that can make some noise in the NFC South
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: this year? And do you think they can beat the
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: Baltimore Ravens this week?
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: I do think the Saints are a lot more legitimate
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: than me or the world gave them credit, but I
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: don't think they're beating the Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: and Derrick Henry this week. I think they're too hot.
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: They're going to be too much for them to overcome
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: on the offensive side of the football. I think Tyler
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: Shaw has shown some promise. I mean, he threw for
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: 410 yards, but I don't think it's going to be
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: enough to beat the Baltimore Ravens this week in Baltimore.
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: The Philadelphia Eagles take on the low. All right, done
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: and done. I don't even know if an explanation is needed.
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: Tennessee Titans, you've got to earn, I guess, commentary at
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: this point. Richard's got the Philadelphia Eagles easily over the
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: Tennessee Titans. Cleveland Browns against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Does
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: this even warrant anything more than a Bucs?
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Fair.
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: And then one of the biggest surprises, the LA chargers
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: lose week one and pretty much get run out the
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: building by the Arizona Cardinals. They take on the 1-0
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: Las Vegas Raiders led by Kirk Cousins, Mr. Michigan State himself.
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: Do the Raiders stay hot? Can they get a division
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: win against his Chargers in week two?
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: Clint Kubiak. has these boys believing. They played much better
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: defense than I expected them to. They were really solid offensively.
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: I got the Raiders winning this. The Chargers didn't show
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: me anything that I needed to see. This Chargers had
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: a dependable and really top-five defense the last couple years,
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: and you kind of expected that. And then you thought
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: with Mike McDaniel, they'd be better offensively, and they just weren't.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: They weren't protecting Justin Herbert very well. There were a
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: few blunders. There were some obvious blunders that went viral offensively, And,
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: you know, maybe they find a way to get a win.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: I think they're a really talented team. But if you
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: don't play up to your talent, then you don't deserve
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: to win. And the Raiders are showing some promise.
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: And then finally, another division matchup in the NFC South.
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: The Carolina Panthers, fresh off of giving up 59 points
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: to the Chicago Bears, play against the Atlanta Falcons, a
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: team that I don't know what they're doing. I'm guessing
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: they're trotting out Cooper Rush again. Do the Panthers bounce
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: back and get a win against division foe Atlanta?
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: I think they do. You know, in most games, 37
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: points wins you the game unless your defense gives up 59.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: And I think Bryce Young played a really good game.
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: He had four total touchdowns in the game. He threw
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: for over 350 yards. You know, he got a lot
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: of his receivers involved. I think he continues that. They're
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: going to find a way on defense to get it together.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: I think Idro Evero is going to have a really,
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: really stern talking to with those guys and tighten it up.
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: I got the Carolina Panthers winning that game.
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: Well, that concludes it. I mean, week two is upon us.
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: Richard's given his predictions. I've given some of mine. Richard,
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: I will let you sign us off, my friend. As always,
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: we appreciate you. It's week two already of the National
