- 0:00When reading Bible prophecy it often at the very beginning
- 0:05especially I always questioned did this already happen or is
- 0:09this yet to come? And that's a question that
- 0:12sometimes gets really hard to find the answer to.
- 0:15However, there are certain things in this chapter that I
- 0:19believe do either their prophecies about our future or
- 0:25they were partially fulfilled and a foreshadow of what is yet
- 0:31to come. But there's no question in my
- 0:34mind after reading through this that this does have future
- 0:40significance to all of us. So let's get started first with
- 0:44the prayer. Dear God, please be with us as
- 0:47we read through this chapter and let the Holy Spirit open our
- 0:51eyes and give us wisdom so that we may learn what you intended
- 0:55from when you gave this to Jeremiah.
- 0:58We ask this in Jesus name, Amen. So chapter 4, Jeremiah, it
- 1:05starts out saying if you Israel will return, then return to me
- 1:11declares the Lord. If you put your detestable idols
- 1:16out of my sight and no longer go astray.
- 1:21I want to stop there for a minute.
- 1:22So he's he's giving them qualifications like if you get
- 1:25rid of this stuff, then this is not going.
- 1:29I mean, there's going to be a different outcome.
- 1:31And if we see repeated throughout the biblical history
- 1:37that idolatry is the greatest concern that God has, and even,
- 1:46you know, the first, I mean, the two most important commandments
- 1:49that were talked about that Jesus said, you know, love God,
- 1:51love your neighbors. Well, how can you love God?
- 1:57You know, if that's the greatest command, how can you love God?
- 2:00If you're loving something else, which which thing not thing, but
- 2:06which entity are you really in love with your there's going to
- 2:12be one that's a priority. And is that priority God or is
- 2:18it something else? And I think that applies to all
- 2:20of us today. We can look at our lives and is
- 2:23God our priority in our life? Is God number one in our life or
- 2:28do we have anything else that we think of as #1 As I read this
- 2:33further, I and study it, I believe that this is actually
- 2:38more spiritual than literal. I mean, there is a spiritual,
- 2:47we're definitely, you know, involved in a spiritual warfare.
- 2:51It tells us that in Ephesians chapter 6 that we don't wrestle
- 2:54against people or flesh and blood.
- 2:56It's against the spiritual forces in the heavenly realms
- 2:59and the principalities. So it tells us all that and
- 3:03there's a war going on and we are in this war.
- 3:06And I believe that also ties into idolatry.
- 3:11If we, you know, to be in love with the world or to love the
- 3:17world is to be an enemy of God. And that probably doesn't make
- 3:23sense to people who are new in their faith because God says to
- 3:27love everything. But what it does is there's,
- 3:31there's a difference between the way God describes holiness and
- 3:37the way the world culture is even the, the word love.
- 3:44I mean, how many people are confused by what love really
- 3:48truly means? The Bible describes that.
- 3:51It describes all these different characteristics that describe
- 3:55someone who is acting in a loving way.
- 3:58And it doesn't have anything to do with the lustfulness that
- 4:02most people relate love to. Like they have this feeling of
- 4:06love and it's, it's a like a chemistry or an attraction to
- 4:10someone else. That's not what the Bible
- 4:13defines as love. Love's completely different than
- 4:17that as described in the Bible. And that's what is another
- 4:21example of how what the world says one thing is what the world
- 4:26describes love as is very different from what God
- 4:30described how God describes love.
- 4:33And throughout the Bible we just see like we have become so
- 4:36confused and who's the author of confusion, the enemy of God, but
- 4:43we've become so confused about everything in our world that
- 4:47seems and it it all goes against what the Bible says.
- 4:52So everything the Bible says, which is truth is distorted and
- 5:00used for confusion to where people I I'm just actually
- 5:05amazed at medically trained people who get on board with the
- 5:11culture about saying that there are more than two genders.
- 5:16I mean, medically it just doesn't make sense.
- 5:19I'm like, are these people delusional or what?
- 5:21Like scientifically that just does not make sense.
- 5:25But we see a world where there are people with the doctor name,
- 5:30you know, the doctor title behind their name that will say
- 5:35there's multiple. And it just, it, it's just we
- 5:40are in this great deception about and this, yeah, this great
- 5:45deception about knowing what is true, what is real and what is
- 5:49not. And I believe this is a
- 5:52spiritual thing more so than anything.
- 5:55It's the enemy of God creating this confusion among people.
- 5:59And the people who are confused are the people who do not have
- 6:03to, who do not know God, and who do not have the Holy Spirit, who
- 6:08the Holy Spirit lets us know what is truth and what is not.
- 6:12So it's their spiritual discernment.
- 6:16Anyway, there's so much here, but going back to what Scripture
- 6:20says, it's about idols, examples of idols in our world at the
- 6:25Olympics in, I guess it was 20, 24, I don't know, my years get
- 6:30mixed up, but there was this very spiritually symbolic event,
- 6:36the entertainment that was conducted during the Olympics.
- 6:39And it had, it was very biblically symbolic of Satan and
- 6:49his Yeah. I don't know what else you call
- 6:54it but evil, let's just call it evil, whatever it is.
- 6:57It was very symbolic of things that are in the Bible that are
- 7:00evil. And it also had this Mike
- 7:03mockery of the Lord's Supper also.
- 7:07And it was, you know, there were a lot of LBDLBGTQ people at a
- 7:14table and it was very symbolic of mockery against Jesus.
- 7:21And we know that this comes about in the last days according
- 7:26to Bible prophecy that that happens.
- 7:27There will be mockers and scoffers and those types of
- 7:30things. And there will be, you know,
- 7:32blasphemy against God. And so we certainly are seeing
- 7:37that today in our culture. And we are.
- 7:40It's gets described as art. That's what people call it.
- 7:44They were like, oh, it's just art.
- 7:46It doesn't mean that. Well, that's another deception
- 7:49that I believe people are under. Like, why celebrate something
- 7:54like that? Why think that quote art is
- 7:57good? I find a lot of distorted,
- 8:00demented, evil looking things that people just say, oh, that's
- 8:05art. Don't get too serious about
- 8:07that. That's just expression of art.
- 8:09Well, it may be an expression of art, but it's an expression of
- 8:13something evil and people are not recognizing that today.
- 8:17They're just saying, oh, it doesn't matter.
- 8:20Think about like in music and a lot of different genres of
- 8:23music, there is the exact opposite of what God describes
- 8:30as the way he wants mankind, the what he created us to be like
- 8:35and what is expressed. It's almost like the exact
- 8:39opposite of what God promotes is showing up in a lot of different
- 8:48genres of music. You can find it in in rap music,
- 8:53in rock music, in pop music, you can see all of these things that
- 8:58are it. It just seems like it's we are
- 9:01so blind to it. We have no spiritual discernment
- 9:05because until a certain point and some people probably express
- 9:12it to emotionally. So then we just say, oh, they're
- 9:15a little bit extreme. I'm not going to pay attention
- 9:18to what they say because they're they're a little extra.
- 9:23And but then we look at what is actually happening in, in music
- 9:29and we see that there is a certain evil side to it, that
- 9:35when you know what's in the Bible, you can see it.
- 9:38And I believe that's what's called spiritual discernment.
- 9:40You can see the spiritual impact, the spiritual influence
- 9:45behind, behind the outward expression of art.
- 9:50And there's like I've seen photos that are arts, you know,
- 9:55the classified as art in elite parties that have come out that
- 10:00had this representation of cannibalism.
- 10:04And it's just like really horrible things.
- 10:07Like who would ever want that? That isn't a feel good kind of a
- 10:10thing. Why would you ever go there with
- 10:13art? There's a lot of very evil
- 10:18things being expressed as art and people accepting that.
- 10:22And I just think we, as anyone who believes our eyes should be
- 10:29open to that, and we should recognize that we should have
- 10:33spiritual discernment about those things and realize that
- 10:37this is not of God. This is something evil that's
- 10:41deceptive and that's trying to come in and to influence our
- 10:44lives. And we don't need to have a part
- 10:47of that if we are a true Christian.
- 10:49So anyway, we just need to realize that there are spiritual
- 10:56entities that want to take away our attention from God and put
- 11:02it on something else that creates this idolatry.
- 11:05And I believe that's what God is speaking against throughout the
- 11:09Bible. Are these spiritual entities
- 11:13that are taking away the attention from God, drawing us
- 11:18away from God? So let's read and we'll see more
- 11:22about that. So if you put your detestable
- 11:26idols out of my sight and no longer go astray, and if in a
- 11:31truthful, just and righteous way, you swear as surely as the
- 11:35Lord lives, then the nations will invoke blessings by him,
- 11:41and in him they will boast. So God's just saying, you know,
- 11:46if you turn away from these, you're going to get blessings.
- 11:50But people don't realize that. They don't read the Bible.
- 11:53So when we turn away from the evil that we see spiritual
- 11:57discernment, when you turn away from it, when you say, no, I
- 11:59don't want that in my life, God says he will give you blessings.
- 12:03I mean, this is he's talking to Israel here, but it says that
- 12:06God doesn't have any favorites. He doesn't show favoritism.
- 12:10He has chosen Israel as his people, but that doesn't mean
- 12:14that Israel are the only ones that will be in the Kingdom of
- 12:20God. There are others because there
- 12:23are Gentiles that have been grafted in too.
- 12:25It's just God chose. You know it.
- 12:28There's a part of scripture that says, you know, can't the Potter
- 12:32who represents God choose some clay?
- 12:35We're all clay for some special purposes and some for common
- 12:39purposes. So God can choose to have
- 12:42certain people be used for special purposes and certain
- 12:47people just for every day, you know, like they, they don't
- 12:49really have a, a special purpose.
- 12:52They just have an everyday purpose.
- 12:54And he's the creator. He can make people for that.
- 12:57So he clearly said that he chose Israel as his chosen people, and
- 13:04they were to bless others. They were to be very close to
- 13:08him and then bless others. And eventually that will come
- 13:12because God's will does prevail and he will.
- 13:17There will be people who are willing to live according to
- 13:23God's will. And so all of this will happen
- 13:26in the future, but it certainly isn't right now.
- 13:31So this is what the Lord says to the people of Judah and to
- 13:36Jerusalem. Break up your unplowed ground
- 13:40and do not sow among thorns. Circumcise yourselves to the
- 13:44Lord. Circumcise your hearts, you
- 13:47people of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, or my wrath will
- 13:53flare up and burn like fire because of the evil you have
- 13:57done. Burn with no one to quench it.
- 14:01So God again is repeating this again.
- 14:04He's saying, you know, circumcise yourself, that he's
- 14:06not talking about the outward action, but he's because people
- 14:12can do an outward action and not have the inner turning towards
- 14:17God. And that's what he's like.
- 14:19Circumcise your hearts. That's the inner reality.
- 14:22So you can, we can all appear one way, but yet on the inside,
- 14:28deep inside, in our thoughts and our hearts and our minds, we may
- 14:32not have the same relationship with God like on the outward.
- 14:41Outwardly we could go to church every week, we could volunteer,
- 14:46we could do all these things that make us appear like a
- 14:49Christian. But inward, you know, like Jesus
- 14:52said, if you love me, obey my commands.
- 14:54So inward we can also like not obey His commands, but to the
- 15:01outside world we can look like we're a Christian, but the inner
- 15:06part of us is disobedient to God.
- 15:09So that's showing we don't love Him in our hearts.
- 15:13We love Him on the exterior where everybody can see, and
- 15:16that's like the hypocrites of Jesus's time.
- 15:20And that's what he warned them about.
- 15:21You know, don't be a hypocrite. You know, the outside should
- 15:25represent what's in the inside you.
- 15:27You should be true to your actions, like you should be a
- 15:31reflection of what's deep inside, not just go through the
- 15:34motions, which is what was happening with these people
- 15:38here. They were going through the
- 15:39motions and everything, but inside they were not turned to
- 15:42God. And so he's warning them, you
- 15:46need to turn to me or my wrath will flare up.
- 15:51Why? He gives everybody.
- 15:52He always gives a reason. I remember, you know, as a
- 15:55person growing up in my younger years that, you know, if
- 15:58somebody would give me a rule or tell me an outcome, I'd always
- 16:02be like, well, why? You know, I wanted to know the
- 16:05reason behind it. We don't always get those
- 16:07answers, but I love it when God really is clear about this.
- 16:11And so he says why? Because of the evil you have
- 16:14done. So there is a wrath that's going
- 16:17to come because of it's a consequence of the actions.
- 16:21So here's what the Study Bible says about some of these parts.
- 16:26What does it mean to break up your unplowed ground?
- 16:30This is an agricultural reference that points to the
- 16:33necessary work that must be done if there is to be a spiritual
- 16:36renewal. Judah was like the ground, hard,
- 16:39thorny, and not prepared for seed.
- 16:42Scattering seeds on thorny, unplowed ground will not yield a
- 16:46harvest. So the ground of the people's
- 16:49hearts needed to be prepared by removing idolatry and turning
- 16:55back to the Lord. Only then would their repentance
- 16:59be fruitful. So then what does it mean to
- 17:04circumcise your hearts? This is a figurative way to call
- 17:07people to cut sinful impurities from their lives.
- 17:12Just as the foreskin is removed in a physical circumcision.
- 17:17Jeremiah was advising the people of Judah to remove the sinful
- 17:22practices that hindered their spiritual growth.
- 17:26I think that's important, removing the sinful practices
- 17:29that hinder spiritual growth. The Apostle Paul also used the
- 17:33metaphor of a metaphor of a circumcised heart.
- 17:39Then talks about disaster from the north, North, announce in
- 17:42Judah and proclaim in Jerusalem and say sound the trumpet
- 17:48throughout the land, cry aloud and say gather together.
- 17:55So this is interesting to me because this goes back to the
- 17:59way the the tribes when they would camp out when they were in
- 18:02the wilderness. There was a certain arrangement
- 18:05of each one of the tribes and how they were they were placed
- 18:09and there were trumpet sounds that were used.
- 18:12One of them was to assemble and then another sound was used to
- 18:16go out to war. And so that's where the trumpet
- 18:19sounds. I kind of did a study on that a
- 18:21while ago to look at, you know, the trumpet sound because like,
- 18:24what does that mean? Well, and there's also like an
- 18:27announcing of a king too. So the those are things that are
- 18:31coming to mind right now about these trumpet sound.
- 18:34But again, this is something that, you know, this is talking
- 18:39about announce in Judah. So it's, it's spoken to Judah
- 18:42and Jerusalem and it's. So that's kind of interesting
- 18:48too, because I don't believe that Jerusalem was actually part
- 18:52of southern Judah. So it's, it's really talking
- 18:57about Judah and Israel. So if Jeremiah is giving this
- 19:01warning to them that the Assyrians are going to come and
- 19:05conquer Judah because they were the southern tribe, then because
- 19:11Assyria had already done that to the northern tribe.
- 19:17And then Babylon was had conquered the southern tribe or
- 19:25the yeah, the southern 2 tribes. And, and then after that came
- 19:30Assyria from the north. So again, this is, you know, I
- 19:36think this is futuristic because it's talking about Judah and
- 19:40Jerusalem. Well, if Jerusalem was part of
- 19:43the northern tribes, it had already been conquered by
- 19:46Assyria, so why would he be warning them?
- 19:48So again, this even more so emphasizes to me that this is
- 19:54really more so about the future, like our future, even though
- 19:59maybe some of it felt like it might have been.
- 20:04Might have happened already, like prophecy fulfilled.
- 20:08I still think this is something that's for the future.
- 20:11So something that is applicable to us today that still has not
- 20:15happened yet. So I'll, I'll talk about that a
- 20:18little bit more too. So the study Bible says why did
- 20:22disaster come after they had repented?
- 20:25The sayings and stories of this book are not arranged
- 20:27chronologically. We don't know when or to what
- 20:30degree repentance took place before the fall of Jerusalem.
- 20:35Some people may have responded to Jeremiah's message, but the
- 20:39rest of the people remain sinful and hard headed, hard hearted.
- 20:44So Jeremiah continued to warn them about the coming judgement.
- 20:49So, OK, sound the trumpet throughout the land, cry aloud
- 20:53and say, gather together, let us flee to the fortified cities.
- 21:00Well, that goes way back in how the lands were established in
- 21:06the very early books of the Bible, and there were these
- 21:09cities of refuge that were given or assigned, or they were places
- 21:18where people could go. And so I think this is really
- 21:21interesting because fleeing for safety without delay, raise the
- 21:26signal, go to Zion. Now Zion, was Zion an actual
- 21:31place? No, this becomes more of a
- 21:34metaphor, which is really interesting.
- 21:37And and I think this I just OK, I want to talk you about what I
- 21:42looked this up and I found this is really interesting.
- 21:45So it says raise the signal to go to Zion, flee for safety
- 21:52without delay. So where they're going to go if
- 21:56Zion is meant as Jerusalem, right?
- 21:59And if it's going, if Jerusalem's getting attacked,
- 22:03why would you tell somebody to go to Jerusalem?
- 22:06Because that's going to be attacked.
- 22:08It's a warning to Jerusalem. So that doesn't make sense until
- 22:13you think about the metaphor of all of this.
- 22:17So in Hebrew, the word Zion means a sign, a landmark, a
- 22:23fortification or a stronghold and refers to a place of
- 22:30sanctuary, refuge or spiritual significance, often associated
- 22:36with Jerusalem and the Temple Mount.
- 22:40The root of the word forms verbs meaning to mark or to point out,
- 22:46emphasizing God's significant presence or action at a
- 22:51particular location. I've also found like Zion would
- 22:55be like the heavenly Kingdom of God reigning, you know, when
- 23:00Jesus reigns from Jerusalem. So that, you know, there's I
- 23:06think some some pointing towards the millennial when Jesus reigns
- 23:13as king from Jerusalem. I believe that's probably Zion.
- 23:18And then I wondered, so it's interesting that Zion refers to
- 23:22fortification or raised up or stronghold.
- 23:26And so this is interesting. Flee for safety.
- 23:29It's saying raise the signal and to go to Zion.
- 23:32It's is it telling us this is a warning, this trumpet warning
- 23:38gathered together, this is a warning to return to God because
- 23:43he is our protection. So fortified cities could serve
- 23:48as cities of refuge in the Bible, with the specific
- 23:52requirement that they were equipped with defenses to
- 23:56protect unintentional manslayers from the avenger of blood.
- 24:02While fortified cities generally served as military and
- 24:06administrative centers offering physical security, the
- 24:10designated cities of refuge were a special type of these cities
- 24:16specifically established by God to provide a place of asylum for
- 24:22those who had killed someone accidentally, not to escape
- 24:27justice, but to ensure a fair trial.
- 24:31Like that's different from an accidental versus a murder.
- 24:36To kill someone accidentally as like a, a side factor of
- 24:41something that happened or there's like this premeditated,
- 24:46I'm going, you know, choosing to kill someone, which is murder.
- 24:50So there's a difference between killing someone and murder.
- 24:54So the function of the fortified cities were protection and
- 24:57security. They were built with strong
- 25:00walls and strongholds to provide physical safety and protection
- 25:03from enemies. And anyway, so it's interesting
- 25:08that Zion means fortification and Zion is God's heavenly
- 25:14Kingdom, right? You know, here on earth is what
- 25:18that represents. And so this is also during the
- 25:22time of the Millennium that I think it's pointing to.
- 25:25And it's interesting too that we have these trumpet calls, sound
- 25:28the trumpet throughout the land, cry aloud and say gather
- 25:32together. Everybody thinks about that, you
- 25:35know, with the the gathering of people.
- 25:37So like in Matthew chapter 24 verse 31 and he, Jesus will send
- 25:45his angels with a loud trumpet call and they will gather his
- 25:52elect from the four winds from one end of the heavens to the
- 25:57other. So, and then it says in Mark
- 26:02chapter 13, and he will send his angels and gather his elect from
- 26:06the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the
- 26:11heaven. So it's there's like a gathering
- 26:14of earthly and heavenly people who are in those presents.
- 26:20So there's like a gathering together and there's a trumpet
- 26:24sound. It's and, and I think this
- 26:25relates to end times where the trumpet sound is, you know,
- 26:30definitely associated with the gathering of people or what
- 26:33people may call the rapture or the resurrection.
- 26:36This is there's a sound that you know, it says is going to happen
- 26:40and there is this gathering and, and I believe that is, you know,
- 26:45there's this place of refuge that God provides for his people
- 26:50who have turned to him. So that's again like God's
- 26:53warning throughout, you know, even back in the book of
- 26:56Jeremiah, which was in the BC time frame, let's see where we
- 27:00were with this. The book of Jeremiah was written
- 27:04about 585 to 580 BC. So how many?
- 27:09How long has God been warning all the people who could read
- 27:13from or who could orally, who heard this turn to Him, turn to
- 27:19Him? There's safety.
- 27:20There's refuge in Him and we're still hearing that today.
- 27:24Yet people are obstinate from God.
- 27:27Well, when people are obstinate from God, that means they don't
- 27:30have his protection. They are rejecting him and
- 27:34thinking they can do it on their their own when they can't
- 27:37because there are things coming against people that are beyond
- 27:42human in in in reality. And we're going to get to that
- 27:47just next. So, and it's, you know, it says
- 27:53flee for safety. And so it's saying flee for
- 27:57safety without delay. So when I read that, I thought
- 27:59about Matthew 24 where Jesus said then let those who are in
- 28:06Judea flee to the mountains. So there's, you know, there is
- 28:12a, a very common thing in Genesis.
- 28:17I believe this is where Sodom and Gomorrah happened.
- 28:19Genesis 19, verse 17. As soon as they had brought them
- 28:22out, one of them said, flee for your lives.
- 28:26Don't look back. Don't stop anywhere in the
- 28:31plane. Flee to the mountains or you
- 28:35will be swept away. Well, that's what happened to
- 28:37Lot's wife. She didn't obey that.
- 28:40The angels said that. And they were helping Lot and
- 28:45his two daughters. There were more that were
- 28:47supposed to be helped, but they again, were obstinate.
- 28:51They didn't believe it. They didn't think about it.
- 28:54And so they were left behind and they were not taken to safety.
- 29:00And so again, it seems like this that it definitely seems like it
- 29:05is a A continual reference are to flee to the mountains to get
- 29:12to safety. And mountains are also symbolic
- 29:14in the Bible. We will see they are almost like
- 29:17strongholds, like God is a mountain.
- 29:19But then these spiritual entities that are enemies of God
- 29:23are also mountains. And I think we get into some of
- 29:26that symbolism in the Book of Revelation.
- 29:29So a mountain can also be something spiritual and not
- 29:32literal, and we have to be aware of that.
- 29:37So you know, in Genesis 1919, it says your servant has found
- 29:42favor in your eyes and you have shown great kindness to me in
- 29:46sparing my life, but I can't flee to the mountains.
- 29:50The disaster will overtake me and I'll die.
- 29:53So again, there's like the safety of going towards the
- 29:56mountains in Ezekiel 7 verse 16, the fugitives escape, will flee
- 30:04to the mountains like doves of the valleys.
- 30:08They will all moan, each for their own sins.
- 30:12So again, there's this safety, fleeing to the mountains.
- 30:15How about maybe fleeing to a higher power, to God?
- 30:19But there's also, you know, a literal sense.
- 30:21You know that like Jesus said then that let those who are in
- 30:24Judea flee to the mountains. He was quoted in in the Gospel
- 30:28of Mark. When you see the abomination
- 30:32that causes desolation standing where it does not belong, this
- 30:38is on God's holy ground. Let the reader understand.
- 30:43Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
- 30:48In Luke it says, then let those who are in Judea flee to the
- 30:53mountains. Let those in the city get out
- 30:57and let those in the country not enter the city.
- 31:02So again, this is, you know, Jerusalem is where the Temple
- 31:06Mount is. It's where that Holy Land is.
- 31:10And this is saying, you know, don't be in Jerusalem.
- 31:14Get out of Jerusalem, flee to the mountains.
- 31:17And I believe this is a future warning for the people who will
- 31:22be here at that time. Now, going back to Jeremiah,
- 31:26chapter 4, verse 7, a lion has come out of his lair.
- 31:31A destroyer of nations has set out.
- 31:37Now I think that's significant too.
- 31:40A destroyer has talked about 13 times in the Bible and I think
- 31:45we learned something about this because like who is the
- 31:49destroyer? And God actually gives us the
- 31:52answer at the very end. But I'm going to read through
- 31:55the verses that talk about a destroyer just so maybe you see
- 31:58it like I see it as well. So in Exodus chapter 12, when
- 32:02the Lord goes through the land to strike down the Egyptians, He
- 32:05will see the blood on the top and the sides of the door frame
- 32:09and will Passover that doorway and He will not permit, He will
- 32:15not permit the destroyer to enter your houses and strike you
- 32:19down. Now that was a warning and they
- 32:22were covered by the blood of the lamb, which was symbolic
- 32:26representing Jesus sacrifice on the cross.
- 32:29His blood protects. So Jesus protects us from the
- 32:36destroyer. And this goes all the way back
- 32:38to the book of Exodus, then in Isaiah and it says, let the
- 32:43Moabite fugitive stay with you. Be their shelter from the
- 32:46destroyer. The oppressor will come to an
- 32:50end and destruction will see. The aggressor will vanish from
- 32:53the land. Isaiah chapter 33.
- 32:57Woe to you, destroyer, you who have not been destroyed.
- 33:03Woe to you, betrayer, you who have not been betrayed.
- 33:06When you stop destroying, you will be destroyed.
- 33:10When you stop betraying, you will be betrayed.
- 33:14So God uses evil intentions for his own purposes.
- 33:20He uses it to bring about wrath, to bring about judgement on
- 33:25people who don't turn to him. And he's in control of that
- 33:30because they have turned away from God.
- 33:33They are rejecting God. And so God is going to allow
- 33:38this evil destroyer to wreak havoc in the lives of those who
- 33:43are not turned to him. There must be some legal
- 33:47allowance of this. God allows it and we know he
- 33:51doesn't like this. He just wants people to turn to
- 33:53him. But when they are hard headed,
- 33:55hard hearted and say no to God, I'm going to be obstinate from
- 33:59you. You are basically leaving
- 34:01yourself open to have this destroyer come against you.
- 34:06In Isaiah chapter 54, it says, see, it is I who created the
- 34:12blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon
- 34:17fit for its work, and it is I who have created the destroyer
- 34:23to wreak havoc. So God created everything.
- 34:26The destroyer is not greater than God.
- 34:30God can stop the destroyer from affecting people, just like
- 34:34those who are protected by the blood of the Lamb in the
- 34:37Passover, but he can also let the destroyer wreak havoc.
- 34:41And he created it and it's the destroyer is has free will.
- 34:47The destroyer can, but he's, the destroyer is bent on destroying.
- 34:52Like that's what this destroyer wants to do.
- 34:55That's what the destroyer chose. And God allows the free will,
- 35:00but he'll use it to accomplish his purposes.
- 35:03So God is still in control then? It references the verse we just
- 35:09read, Jeremiah chapter 4 verse 7.
- 35:11A lion has come out of his lair. A destroyer of nations has set
- 35:14out. He has left his place to lay
- 35:18waste to your land. Your towns will lie in ruins
- 35:21without inhabitant. So Jeremiah 6 says, put on
- 35:27sackcloth my people, and roll in ashes.
- 35:29Mourn with bitter wailing As for an only son, For suddenly the
- 35:35destroyer will come upon us. Just now when I'm reading this,
- 35:39I was like, oh, that's really interesting.
- 35:43Mourn with bitter wailing As for an only son, well, who is Jesus,
- 35:49God's only son? Isn't that interesting?
- 35:52Like put on sackcloth, my people, and roll in ashes.
- 35:54Mourn with bitter wailing As for Jesus, for suddenly the
- 36:00destroyer will come upon us. So if people accepted Jesus for
- 36:05what he did, believed in Jesus, they would be protected and this
- 36:09destroyer would not affect them. But there are people who reject
- 36:13Jesus as the Son of God, and the destroyer will come.
- 36:19That's what Jeremiah is saying here.
- 36:21Jeremiah 15. I will make their widows more
- 36:25numerous than the sand of the sea at midday.
- 36:29I will bring a destroyer against the mothers of their young men.
- 36:36Suddenly I will bring down on them anguish and terror.
- 36:40I do think that some of this actually happened, but it's not
- 36:47to the fulfillment yet. But I believe that October 7th,
- 36:512023 was some of this, that I mean, this just really sounds
- 36:56like what happened that day. So, and these again, that's not
- 37:01the fulfillment of all this. So it's going to be worse.
- 37:04Jesus warns about that, that this there is going to be a time
- 37:08that's even worse than anything any of us have ever experienced.
- 37:11And it will never again be as bad as what it's going to be.
- 37:16So this is, you know, October 7th, I think is a big warning
- 37:22that there is something that is, you know, it's a warning to turn
- 37:29to God, to stop being an idolatry, stop having
- 37:34worshipping these other things. You know, stop this new age
- 37:38spirituality that is not focused on God, that is focused on some
- 37:43ambiguous, you know, God or ambiguous being that is, you
- 37:50know, a higher being than us. No, there is a one true God.
- 37:55That's what God is saying. You know, don't just make me
- 37:58into something of many. There is one true God.
- 38:01There is one creator and that is God the Father.
- 38:06And, and so let's see, the destroyer will come against
- 38:10Jeremiah 48. The destroyer will come against
- 38:13every town and they not a town will be will escape.
- 38:17The valley will be ruined and the plateau destroyed because
- 38:21the Lord has spoken. Then Jeremiah 48 also says, I
- 38:26weep for you as Jaser weeps, your vines of Sibma, your
- 38:29branches spread out as far as the sea.
- 38:32They reached out as far as Jaser the destroyer has fallen on your
- 38:37ripened fruit and grapes. Jeremiah 51 says this is what
- 38:41the Lord says, See, I will stir up the spirit of a destroyer
- 38:48against Babylon and the people of Lebkemae.
- 38:53So here's where we see that Jeremiah 51 verse one that God
- 38:58is saying I will stir up the spirit of a destroyer and when
- 39:05he says spirit, I believe it's ruah.
- 39:08I'm going to double check that because that is I'm going to
- 39:12arouse against Babylon and against the inhabitants of the
- 39:16the spirit of a destroyer. So it's Ruah.
- 39:20Yes, it is talking about a spirit and and again this God
- 39:26will give us the clue to this the answer to this in Revelation
- 39:29as well. So in Hebrews Chapter 11 verse
- 39:3228, it says by faith He kept the and the application of the of
- 39:38blood so that the destroyer of the first born would not touch
- 39:44the first born of Israel. So God gave a warning 1st and
- 39:50again this was symbolic of Jesus and this is back in the Old
- 39:54Testament, A Passover where the lamb is a reference to Jesus, a
- 40:01foreshadowing of Jesus and showing the Israelites that
- 40:05Jesus is their protection and this Jesus will protect them
- 40:09from the destroyer if they would turn to him.
- 40:12But. The spiritual blindness is
- 40:15preventing many in Israel from understanding this or from
- 40:19seeing this, the stubbornness of their own hearts.
- 40:22There are people in Israel who have who do believe in Jesus
- 40:25and, and so I'm not including them, but there are many people
- 40:30who don't. Then in Revelation 9, Chapter 9,
- 40:35verse 11, it gives us the answer.
- 40:40They had as king over them the Angel of the abyss, whose name
- 40:49in Hebrew is Abaddon and in Greek is Apollyon, that is comma
- 40:57destroyer. So all along, throughout all the
- 41:02ages, the Greek apollyon is the destroyer, the Hebrew word
- 41:07Abaddon is the destroyer, and the destroyer has been around.
- 41:12The the destroyer is apparently an internal being, it's spirit.
- 41:19Just like it says in Jeremiah 51, I will stir up the spirit of
- 41:24a destroyer against Babylon. So there is a spiritual war.
- 41:30Just like Ephesians chapter 6 tells us there's a spirit behind
- 41:35these things that happened. There's a spirit behind the
- 41:38October 7th event. It's not just people.
- 41:42We are not fighting against flesh and blood.
- 41:44There is a spirit, a long term spirit that has been impacting
- 41:49the earth since the beginning of the Bible has mentioned.
- 41:54So like I said, this is the clue right now.
- 42:00There's there's something in the abyss that's going to come forth
- 42:04in the future and it's a destroyer just like what
- 42:07happened in Exodus. It's going to happen again in
- 42:11the future. And this is what it says.
- 42:15You know, a lion has come out of his lair.
- 42:17This is in Jeremiah chapter 4, verse 7.
- 42:19A lion has come out of his lair. A destroyer of nations has set
- 42:22out. He has left his place.
- 42:24Could that be the abyss to lay waste your land?
- 42:28Your towns will lie in ruins without inhabitant.
- 42:32So put on a sackcloth, lament and whale.
- 42:35For the fierce anger of the Lord has not turned away from us
- 42:40because nobody was repentant. Then it says in that day,
- 42:43declares the Lord. Now that could be, you know, the
- 42:46day that that happens. But often it talks about the day
- 42:49of the Lord. It seems to be a reference to
- 42:54the day of the Lord. So in that day, declares the
- 42:57Lord, the king and his officials will lose heart, the priest will
- 43:00be horrified, and the prophets will be appalled.
- 43:04So obviously this is probably a foreshadowing where this
- 43:09happened, like when Jerusalem and our Judah, when Judah was
- 43:16attacked, and I'm sure everybody was surprised by this after
- 43:21Jeremiah warned them. And it's so it did happen to
- 43:25them. But there's also in that day,
- 43:28which could also mean the day of the Lord.
- 43:31And this is an opinion of mine. So but there are the day of the
- 43:35Lord is it occurs 1946 times in 233 verses in the New
- 43:42International version, including 24 exact phrases.
- 43:46So there's exact phrases and then there's like inexact
- 43:50phrases. So I will read through.
- 43:53I don't know that I'm going to necessarily reference where
- 43:56these are. I might if they're significant,
- 43:59really significant. But so the day of the Lord,
- 44:03Isaiah 13 wail for the day of the Lord is near.
- 44:07It will come like destruction from the Almighty.
- 44:11Here's another verse. See, the day of the Lord is
- 44:13coming, a cruel day with wrath and fierce anger to make the
- 44:18land desolate and destroy the sinners within it.
- 44:23So this is not it's, it's for the destruction of the sinners
- 44:27within it, the day of the Lord, a cruel day with wrath and
- 44:30fierce anger. So for all of us, we want to
- 44:34make sure that we are not actively choosing to sin, that
- 44:38because the wrath of God is going to come against those who
- 44:43don't repent, who don't change their ways, who keep on sinning.
- 44:48Grace doesn't cover that. It says if you keep on sinning
- 44:51after knowing about grace, that all you can expect is the wrath
- 44:57of God. And that's a big warning.
- 44:59There's a lot of people, a lot of Christians who think they're
- 45:02covered by grace and they can keep on sinning and it's not
- 45:05going to matter. And the Bible's very clear about
- 45:09it. You can't do that unless you
- 45:11just want to face God's wrath. And I don't think I would want
- 45:13to face God's wrath. So just a wake up call to
- 45:18people. Ezekiel says you have not gone
- 45:22up to the breeches in the wall to repair it for the people of
- 45:26Israel so that it would stand firm in the battle on the day of
- 45:30the Lord. Now, a lot of these things are
- 45:32physical and spiritual. So because Paul talks about
- 45:37standing firm on the day of the Lord, that we hope that we can
- 45:41stand firm on that day. Ezekiel 30 says for the day is
- 45:46near, the day of the Lord is near, a day of clouds, a day, a
- 45:50time of doom for the nations, plural.
- 45:55Joel says alas for that day, for the day of the Lord is near, it
- 46:01will come like destruction from the Almighty.
- 46:06Joel too says, blow the trump in Zion, sound the alarm on my holy
- 46:12hill, let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the
- 46:18Lord is coming. It is close at hand.
- 46:21So again, this is I believe future biblical prophecy.
- 46:26In Joel chapter 2 it says further, the Lord thunders at
- 46:30the head of his army. His forces are beyond number and
- 46:34mighty is the army that obeys his command.
- 46:38The day of the Lord is great, it is dreadful.
- 46:40Who can endure it? Now again, this is something
- 46:44that crossed my mind and I didn't look into this that
- 46:47deeply, but I wondered. The Lord thunders the head of
- 46:51his army. His forces are beyond number,
- 46:53and mighty is the army that obeys his command.
- 46:56That's the way the NIB says. I want to see what it says in
- 46:59the English NISB. It says.
- 47:02The Lord utters his voice before his army.
- 47:06Surely his camp is very great for the strong is for the strong
- 47:14is he who carries out his word. The day of the Lord is indeed
- 47:19great and very awesome. And who can endure it?
- 47:24Now is this, I mean, is this what he's talking about?
- 47:30Like is he using, you know, his art When I say his army, is that
- 47:38somebody that he calls? Like, remember, he used Cyrus,
- 47:42who was not from Israel to do something.
- 47:48He used, you know, it doesn't necessarily.
- 47:51And these are coming against Israel.
- 47:54Well, God doesn't come against Israel.
- 47:56And I don't know. That is something that I
- 48:01probably should have. You know, it says blow the
- 48:04trumpet in Zion, declare a holy fast, gather the people,
- 48:08consecrate the assembly, bring together the other.
- 48:10You know, let the bridegroom leave his room in the bride, her
- 48:13chamber. Wonder if that has a significant
- 48:17symbolic between Jesus as the bridegroom and the hit believers
- 48:22as his bride or Jerusalem as his bride.
- 48:28So let the to minister before the Lord weep between the
- 48:31protocol and the altar. Let them say, spare your Lord.
- 48:35Do not make an inheritance an object of scorn.
- 48:39Why should they say among peoples?
- 48:41Where is their God? The Lord is jealous for his land
- 48:45and took pity on his people. And I will drive the northern
- 48:50horde far from you, pushing it into the parch and barren land.
- 48:55Its eastern ranks will drown in the Dead Sea and its western
- 48:58ranks in the Mediterranean Sea. And its stench will go up, Its
- 49:01smell will rise. Surely he has done great things.
- 49:04Do not be frayed, afraid, land of Judah, be glad and rejoice.
- 49:08Surely the Lord has done great things.
- 49:12So God is going to come with his armies to fight off those who
- 49:19use their free will to go against the destroyer that God
- 49:23allows to destroy. He will.
- 49:26It's a, like it said before, woe to you destroyer.
- 49:30When you finish destroying, you're going to be finished.
- 49:33So God doesn't let it go unpunished.
- 49:35He's going to, you know, let it it it will again be something
- 49:47that he ultimately takes control of.
- 49:50But there is this interim where there is an attack that's
- 49:53coming. And that does sound when he
- 49:55starts talking about this circular pattern surrounding of
- 50:01Israel that is usually the end times like these other things
- 50:04that was like always coming from the north, but now he's talking
- 50:09about them being encircled. And in fact, later on in this
- 50:13chapter, it talks about surrounding Israel, which I do
- 50:18think again, this this makes it more like the the day of the
- 50:21Lord. So Joel chapter 2 says the sun
- 50:26will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the
- 50:31coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.
- 50:34Well, it's great because if you are turned towards Jesus, that's
- 50:39when you will be resurrected. But it's also dreadful for those
- 50:44who are not prepared because wrath is coming.
- 50:47So when Jesus returns, there is a gathering of people and
- 50:51there's also wrath. So it's two different things
- 50:54that happened in Joel chapter 3. It says multitudes, multitudes
- 50:58in the valley of decision, for the day of the Lord is near in
- 51:01the valley of decision. Amos 5 says Woe to you who long
- 51:06for the day of the Lord. Why do you long for the day of
- 51:08the Lord? That day will be darkness, not
- 51:10light. Amos 5 says Will not the day of
- 51:15the Lord be darkness, not light, dark without a ray of
- 51:20brightness. Gosh, this is the first time I
- 51:23read that and after reading that, not the well, the first
- 51:26time that it made a connection in my mind.
- 51:29I had three rapture dreams in they occurred in 22, I think all
- 51:39within that year in 2022. And the first one was amazing.
- 51:45You know, the second one and the third one were not as impressive
- 51:49as the first one, but I literally like was rising up
- 51:57into the sky and there were things that I saw and it was I
- 52:01didn't even really know much about the rapture when these
- 52:04things happened. I do now because it made me
- 52:07investigate it a lot more. But one of the details in all
- 52:11three of my dreams was that everything went black before the
- 52:19ascending happened. And so it's very interesting
- 52:22that Amos chapter 5 verse 20 says, will not the day of the
- 52:26Lord be darkness, not light, dark without a ray of
- 52:32brightness. So that was like an
- 52:35instantaneous pitch dark where I could not see the hand in front
- 52:38of my face in all three dreams. But right after that is when
- 52:43there was the ascending into, you know, the sky in each one of
- 52:50them. So just something to pay
- 52:54attention to. Obadiah chapter 1, The day of
- 52:58the Lord is near for all nations.
- 53:00As you have done, it will be done to you.
- 53:02Your deeds will return upon your own head.
- 53:06So remember, God is he says the vengeance is mine.
- 53:10If somebody hasn't repented of their sin, they're going to get
- 53:13what they've done. Zephaniah one, be silent before
- 53:17the southern sovereign Lord. The day of the Lord is near.
- 53:20The Lord has prepared a sacrifice.
- 53:22He has consecrated those he has invited.
- 53:26So consecrated is to make holy, right?
- 53:32And if we have an invitation from God to come to him, we
- 53:38shouldn't turn it down. And that invitation, the way we
- 53:43are consecrated or made holy, is by the Holy Spirit.
- 53:46Just like Jesus said in John chapter 3 that we must be born
- 53:51of the Spirit, we must receive the Holy Spirit.
- 53:54We must be born again, become a new creation and have the Holy
- 53:58Spirit in dwelling in us like we must welcome the Spirit of God
- 54:05to empower us, to change us, to make us into what God intended
- 54:12us to be. Zephaniah one goes on to further
- 54:16say the great day of the Lord is near, near and coming.
- 54:19Quip quickly. The cry on the day of the Lord
- 54:22is bitter. The mighty warrior shouts his
- 54:25battle cry in Zephaniah 14 A day of the Lord is coming Jerusalem,
- 54:31when your possessions will be plundered and divided up within
- 54:36your very walls. So again, I believe that people
- 54:43are armies are coming against Israel, but God will there's
- 54:48going to be some destruction happening because it is the, you
- 54:50know, part of the wrath. It's a it's a consequence of
- 54:54decisions of people because they would not turn to God.
- 54:57They would not believe in the one who came, Jesus who died on
- 55:03the cross for all people's sins so that we may go into the
- 55:09Kingdom of God. If we reject that truth, then we
- 55:12will be subject to the wrath of God when that happens.
- 55:17And Malachi, it says, see, I will send the prophet Elijah to
- 55:21you before the great and dead full dreadful day of the Lord.
- 55:25He went on to Elijah already came obviously, and the spirit
- 55:31of Elijah came as the disciples understood that this was John
- 55:37the Baptist where he told everybody to repent.
- 55:42And it was a repentance of turning away and a turning
- 55:44towards got a changing of the mind that that was that was what
- 55:49John was baptizing for. And then Jesus came to give the
- 55:54Holy Spirit to create new beings, so new creation.
- 55:59So there's kind of like 2 baptisms really.
- 56:02One of them is the repentance and the other part is receiving
- 56:06the Holy Spirit. In Acts chapter 2, it says the
- 56:10sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the
- 56:15coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
- 56:19So again, there's that darkness that talks about things that are
- 56:21going to happen. In one Corinthians 5, it, you
- 56:27know, it references like a Sinner who's unrepentant and it
- 56:30says hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh
- 56:34so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord.
- 56:39So again, God will, there's a consequence of sin.
- 56:43So he's saying, you know, go ahead, let him be punished.
- 56:46So hopefully his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord.
- 56:50So sometimes when we hit rock bottom is when we turn to God.
- 56:54And again, that's referenced here in two Corinthians.
- 56:57One, as you understood us in part, you will come to
- 57:01understand fully. You can boast of us just as we
- 57:04boast of you in the day of the Lord Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5
- 57:10For you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a
- 57:15thief in the night. It's going to surprise people to
- 57:19Thessalonians 2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by
- 57:25the teaching allegedly from us, whether by prophecy or by word
- 57:29of mouth or by letter, asserting that the day of the Lord has
- 57:32already come. So Paul was addressing people.
- 57:35He's like the day of the Lord has not come because people were
- 57:38being told that either by prophecy or gossip or by letter,
- 57:44somebody was going around telling people, oh, that already
- 57:46happened. Well, there's still people today
- 57:48that, you know, don't believe in the literal part of the Bible
- 57:52that says Jesus going to return. He's going to reign on the earth
- 57:55for 1000 years. That's kind of the same thing.
- 57:59Back then they were having a problem with it.
- 58:01And they have people today who are thinking, no, that's not
- 58:04going to happen, but the Bible's really clear that it is going to
- 58:06happen. So and then second Peter chapter
- 58:103 says, but the day of the Lord will come like a thief.
- 58:13So that's the same thing that Paul was saying.
- 58:15The heavens will disappear with a roar, the elements will be
- 58:19destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will
- 58:24be laid bare. Isaiah says the same thing.
- 58:27He talks about complete destruction on the day of the
- 58:31Lord. And then God addresses that
- 58:33because there's going to be a new heaven and new earth that
- 58:39comes from above. God created the one we have
- 58:42right now, and there is a new, whether it's a restored one, it
- 58:46sounds like it's a new one, but we'll just have to wait and see
- 58:49because there is some question about that.
- 58:52But the city of Jerusalem is going to be half the size of the
- 58:56United States. So it's not anywhere near what
- 58:59it is today. Like today, the city of Israel
- 59:02or not the city, but the state of Israel or the nation of
- 59:06Israel is about the same size of the state of New Jersey within
- 59:11the United States. So size wise, it's going to be
- 59:15approximately half the size from east to West of the United
- 59:20States. And it's going to be a square
- 59:22shape, a cube shape actually, what it's how it's described.
- 59:26Now, whether that's a metaphor, who knows, But it's certainly
- 59:29going to be different than what exists today because it's going
- 59:33to be as wide as it is deep as it that is tall.
- 59:38And that's going to be, there's a lot of details about that in
- 59:41the Book of Revelation. So again, Matthew 24 says
- 59:48immediately after the distress of those days, the sun will be
- 59:52darkened, the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall
- 59:56from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.
- 1:00:00Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven, and then
- 1:00:06all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son
- 1:00:10of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great
- 1:00:14glory. And he will send his angels with
- 1:00:18a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the
- 1:00:23four winds from when one end of the heavens to the other.
- 1:00:27So all of this stuff culminates at the day of the Lord.
- 1:00:33So, you know, if we want to read Matthew 24, if you haven't read
- 1:00:39it before, it read it slowly because it gives you an order of
- 1:00:44events that are going to happen. And I think if I did that now,
- 1:00:48my podcast would be, it's already long.
- 1:00:50It's always long. So I don't want to go into that
- 1:00:53detail, but read it. If you haven't read that before,
- 1:00:57then we'll go back to something else that the Bible says back in
- 1:01:04Jeremiah chapter 4. It says, then I said at last,
- 1:01:08Sovereign Lord, how completely you have deceived this people
- 1:01:11and Jerusalem by saying you will have peace when the sword is at
- 1:01:15our throats. So here Jeremiah is talking
- 1:01:19about, boy, these people are deceived.
- 1:01:21They thought peace was here, but now they're sword at our
- 1:01:26throats. It's kind of interesting too
- 1:01:28when I, you know, sword at our throats in the Book of
- 1:01:32Revelation at the 4th seal, I believe it talks about people
- 1:01:37being beheaded and it talks about more people being
- 1:01:40beheaded. And we're seeing that right now.
- 1:01:43Like first the Jews were are targeted and then the Christians
- 1:01:47are targeted. There are people being
- 1:01:50Christians currently in Africa who are being beheaded by
- 1:01:57extremist Islamic people that are beheading Christians.
- 1:02:03And this is this gets a little bit more interesting also as we
- 1:02:07read Jeremiah chapter 4. So again, there is this there's
- 1:02:12going to be this false Messiah that Jesus talks about in all in
- 1:02:16Matthew chapter 24 and people are think there's going to be
- 1:02:20peace, but then there's going to come sudden destruction and
- 1:02:24there's a false sense of peace. This is also happened about like
- 1:02:28in Hezekiah in his lifetime he thought there was going to be
- 1:02:31peace, peace and security and then there was the Babylonians
- 1:02:35came after him and he was mistaken for that and that's
- 1:02:41referenced in Second Kings chapter 20 and Isaiah chapter
- 1:02:4739. And eventually there will be
- 1:02:52peace when Jesus returns. But it's there's going to be a
- 1:02:57false Messiah who comes first before the real Messiah, someone
- 1:03:03that people think is the Messiah.
- 1:03:06So but when Jesus, that's why everybody's going to think it's
- 1:03:10really peace. But Jesus tells us there's going
- 1:03:13to be one that comes before him that's going to make people
- 1:03:16think that they will have it, but it's going to be a false
- 1:03:21one. And in First Thessalonians
- 1:03:25chapter 5, verse 3, it says while people are saying peace
- 1:03:29and safety, destruction will come on them threateningly as
- 1:03:35labor pains on a pregnant woman and they will not escape.
- 1:03:39There's a lot there. So again, peace and safety.
- 1:03:44So pay attention when you hear that because destruction will be
- 1:03:47coming suddenly as labor pains like the end times are always
- 1:03:53talked about as labor pains on a pregnant woman and they will not
- 1:03:57escape. So the Bible is, has been
- 1:04:01warning us since 500 BC that this is the order of events and
- 1:04:07has also shown us historically, people get surprised.
- 1:04:11They think it's peace and safety and then sudden destruction and
- 1:04:15what, you know, that's what we need to pay attention to now,
- 1:04:17because what is everybody saying?
- 1:04:19We're trying to get a peace agreement in the Middle East.
- 1:04:22Again, I can remember, I think, you know, there's, there's been
- 1:04:25several times in the, you know, throughout the, the world where
- 1:04:30there's been a, an interest in establishing peace.
- 1:04:34Well, right now, I mean, we have a lot of things that are
- 1:04:37happening and yeah, that we certainly have this peace that
- 1:04:42Abraham Accords. Who's going to join?
- 1:04:45You know, it certainly involves Israel, and everything about
- 1:04:48Bible prophecy involves Israel. So this Middle East peace is
- 1:04:52something that many nations want to have, but we are not getting
- 1:04:57there yet. There's like this tug of war to
- 1:05:00happening. But as soon as we get there,
- 1:05:02probably everybody will be so elated.
- 1:05:05But it's going to be a false peace.
- 1:05:07That's what Bible prophecy tells us.
- 1:05:08So hold on, because right after that false peace, Jesus will be
- 1:05:12coming soon. So then I want to add this in
- 1:05:17First Thessalonians chapter 4. So this is about talking about
- 1:05:22believers who have died. But I want you to pay attention
- 1:05:27to the order of events, brothers and sisters.
- 1:05:31We do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep
- 1:05:35in death so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind
- 1:05:40who have no hope. So if you're a believer, there's
- 1:05:43hope. You don't you?
- 1:05:45You know that whoever has died before us, they, if they were in
- 1:05:50Christ, if they had been born again, they are only sleeping
- 1:05:55and they are only waiting for all the brothers and sisters
- 1:06:00like in like it says in the fourth seal where they're under
- 1:06:04the altar and they're saying, Lord, how long before your
- 1:06:07vengeance comes? And so they are waiting, they
- 1:06:11are in the presence of the Lord, but they are waiting and until
- 1:06:15all of us who are going to be gathered.
- 1:06:18So till this, till Jesus returns, they're they're waiting
- 1:06:22for this. And that's when everybody gets
- 1:06:23their immortal bodies. So continuing on in First
- 1:06:27Thessalonians chapter 4, for we believe that Jesus died and rose
- 1:06:31again. And so we believe that God will
- 1:06:34bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
- 1:06:39So notice that they come with Jesus those who had fallen
- 1:06:43asleep with him. But we have to get down to verse
- 1:06:4617 for clarification on that. So according to the Lord's word,
- 1:06:52we tell you that we who are still alive who are left until
- 1:06:58the coming of the Lord, you know, because there's been
- 1:07:01generations prior to us that were believers, but they've
- 1:07:05already they've got they've fallen asleep.
- 1:07:07But it says, according to the Lord's word, we tell you that we
- 1:07:11who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the
- 1:07:15Lord, will certainly not seed those who have fallen asleep.
- 1:07:22So the dead rise first. So that's why I really can't
- 1:07:28imagine. I don't see anywhere where it
- 1:07:30talks about this rapture that happens.
- 1:07:33I you know, I just think it all is in one time and I think the
- 1:07:37dead will rise 1st and then the rest come.
- 1:07:40So for the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a
- 1:07:45loud command and the voice of the Archangel, and with the
- 1:07:50trumpet call of God. So it's a trumpet of God, and
- 1:07:54the dead in Christ will rise first.
- 1:07:57After that, we who are still alive and are left will be
- 1:08:02caught up. That's where that rapture thing
- 1:08:04is, together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the
- 1:08:09air. And so we will be with the Lord
- 1:08:12forever. Therefore, encourage one another
- 1:08:15with these words. So there is this safety, this
- 1:08:21refuge. We are not subject to God's
- 1:08:24wrath. He when he comes, he's going to
- 1:08:27come with a dual purpose, but he's going to gather and then
- 1:08:30there's going to be wrap on the rest.
- 1:08:32So anyway, this is OK, let's keep going.
- 1:08:40I don't know what I was somehow I, I didn't remember looking
- 1:08:48this up, but Ephesians 612 is for our struggle is not against
- 1:08:54flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities,
- 1:08:57against the powers of this Dark World and against the spiritual
- 1:09:02forces, spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
- 1:09:07So sometimes when you are taught that heaven is the place where
- 1:09:10only good things are, it says here that the spiritual forces
- 1:09:14of evil in the heavenly realms, there's evil up there.
- 1:09:19But again, there's a point that Revelation tells us where the
- 1:09:24evils going to be, like Satan and his fallen angels or the
- 1:09:28angels who have rebelled against God will be swept with him down
- 1:09:32to the earth and they'll not be able to go back to heaven
- 1:09:34anymore. But in the book of Job, we know
- 1:09:36that heaven, we know that Satan roams around the earth and he
- 1:09:40also goes up into the presence of the Lord.
- 1:09:43He has that freedom. And it says that Satan is angry
- 1:09:47because he's thrown down to earth and he knows he doesn't
- 1:09:49have access to heaven anymore. And so I don't believe that has
- 1:09:53happened yet. And that's when it says, like,
- 1:09:57woe to the people on the earth because he's gone down there and
- 1:10:00he knows his time is short. I believe there's 3 1/2 years
- 1:10:04that have, you know, before he gets 3 1/2 years to wreak havoc
- 1:10:09down here. And so will I.
- 1:10:12Yeah. So again, just no scripture.
- 1:10:16But these are things that I found in in reading Scripture
- 1:10:19that at least when things start to go sideways, we will know
- 1:10:24that we will still have hope. If we know what's in Scripture
- 1:10:28and we are not, you know, if we've studied it, we will, we
- 1:10:32will be confident in that. So going back to Jeremiah
- 1:10:38chapter 4, verse 11, at that time this people and Jerusalem
- 1:10:43will be told a scorching wind from the barren heights in the
- 1:10:46desert blows towards my people, but not to winnow or cleanse a
- 1:10:52wind too strong for that comes from me.
- 1:10:56Now I pronounce my judgments against then.
- 1:11:01So it says at that time this people and Jerusalem will be
- 1:11:06told. So that would be interesting if
- 1:11:10people are not turned to God and they hear this, you know, on the
- 1:11:15news or something. A scorching wind is coming from
- 1:11:18the barren heights in the desert that it says a wind too strong
- 1:11:23for that comes from me. That's going to be a God thing,
- 1:11:27and it's going to come on with judgement.
- 1:11:30Look, he advances like the clouds.
- 1:11:32His Chariots come like a whirlwind.
- 1:11:34His horses are swifter than eagles.
- 1:11:37Woe to us, We are ruined. Jerusalem, wash the evil from
- 1:11:41your heart and be saved. OK, that's interesting too,
- 1:11:45because how can anybody be saved?
- 1:11:47You know they're going to be attacked, but how can they be
- 1:11:49saved? Wash the evil from your heart
- 1:11:52and be saved. Jesus already died on the cross.
- 1:11:56He made it possible to be saved. But we have to do something in
- 1:12:00response to that. We have to willingly say we want
- 1:12:05to get rid of the sin in our life.
- 1:12:06We have to willingly invite the Holy Spirit into our lives so
- 1:12:12that we can start to change. Because our flesh is weak, we
- 1:12:17are weak as humans. We have to not think that we are
- 1:12:20can do it all. We have to be humble and say we
- 1:12:23can't do it. God, we need your help.
- 1:12:26And God loves to hear that. He loves to help us, He loves to
- 1:12:29do things for us. But people don't turn to him.
- 1:12:33So turn to him and see the difference that it makes in
- 1:12:38life. Look, he advances like the
- 1:12:41clouds. His Chariots come like a
- 1:12:43whirlwind. His horses are swifter than
- 1:12:45eagles. Woe to us, we are ruined.
- 1:12:48Jerusalem, wash the evil from your heart and be saved.
- 1:12:50How long will you harbor wicked thoughts?
- 1:12:54A voice is announcing from Dan proclaiming disaster from the
- 1:13:00hills of Ephraim. So when I read this OK.
- 1:13:03And a voice is coming from, from Dan.
- 1:13:06I don't think it's the tribe of Dan.
- 1:13:08I think it's from the city of Dan, which is up north.
- 1:13:12And it's really interesting because it's near Mount Hermon
- 1:13:16and in the hills of Ephraim. Again, this is I, it's, I
- 1:13:21believe it's like like East Manasseh, the eastern tribe of
- 1:13:28Manasseh. So it's way up north and there's
- 1:13:31a voice proclaiming disaster. Tell the nation tell this to the
- 1:13:36nations proclaiming to the nations proclaim concerning
- 1:13:40Jerusalem. A besieging army is coming from
- 1:13:43a distant land raising a war Cray cry against the cities of
- 1:13:49Judah. So a distant land.
- 1:13:53What does that mean? Like Dan is the city of Dan is
- 1:13:56warning. This gets really spiritual and I
- 1:14:00didn't even think about this until I started looking back at
- 1:14:04I went to Blue Letter Bible and I searched this verse, which is
- 1:14:12I guess verse 16 and chapter 4 of Jeremiah.
- 1:14:16And I went through the the original Hebrew words for this.
- 1:14:21And as a result, this distant land could possibly be it was
- 1:14:28it's the Hebrew word eris ERES for land.
- 1:14:32But when you look in the definition of it, of how it is
- 1:14:36used in the Bible, it also references Sheel, the
- 1:14:41underworld, the place where people like the dead are, the
- 1:14:46underworld, she Sheol. And so does it mean this is an
- 1:14:52interpretation thing? So I'm not saying that I know
- 1:14:54that it is, but it's very interesting.
- 1:14:56A besieging army is coming from what if it's coming from Sheol,
- 1:15:02from the underworld? What if this is a spiritual
- 1:15:05thing? Remember, there's the Apollyon
- 1:15:08Abaddon, the destroyer, and this is a spiritual entity.
- 1:15:13It says I will raise the spirit of a destroyer.
- 1:15:16This is what God said. Like we have to look through
- 1:15:18scripture to find this stuff and, and it's a pot.
- 1:15:21It's definitely possible, especially when it says that
- 1:15:25there's an Angel in the Book of Revelation that comes down and
- 1:15:28opens up the pit and out from the pit, this is where that
- 1:15:32Apollyon is talked about. There's these things that come
- 1:15:36up in there. And like I said, it's
- 1:15:39interesting that Mount Hermon, the gates of 80s, it's often
- 1:15:47associated with that. And it's interesting that Dan is
- 1:15:51located there. And then if you think about
- 1:15:54these prophecies about Dan, the tribe in Genesis 49, you know
- 1:15:59when I guess it's Jacob on his deathbed and he's talking about
- 1:16:03all of the different sons and how significant they will be.
- 1:16:07In Genesis 49, verse 16, it says Dan will provide justice for his
- 1:16:14people as one of the tribes of Israel.
- 1:16:19Then it says Dan will be a snake by the roadside, a Viper along
- 1:16:25the path that bites the horse's heels so that it's rider
- 1:16:30stumbles, tumbles backward. So initially I think I thought,
- 1:16:36well, he's going to be defending Israel.
- 1:16:41But then I wondered, I I was like, well, I don't know if it
- 1:16:45really says he's going to provide justice for his people.
- 1:16:49Does that mean he's actually going to be used by God to, you
- 1:16:56know, pay back people and for turning away from him, from
- 1:17:04turning away from God? It's just a question that I have
- 1:17:07because when it says Dan will be a snake, well, that's never a
- 1:17:11really good thing. A Viper along the path that's
- 1:17:15like a serpent that's like evil and that bites the horse's
- 1:17:19heels. So remember in the, in the
- 1:17:24beginning book of Genesis where it says about, oh, I lost my
- 1:17:28part now, but it talks about, yeah, Genesis 3, verse 15, when
- 1:17:35God is talking to the serpent and to Eve, and he says, and I
- 1:17:40will put enmity between you, the serpent and the woman who is
- 1:17:44Eve, and between your offspring and hers.
- 1:17:49He, Jesus will crush your head. He's saying this to the serpent
- 1:17:54and you will strike his heel. So isn't that interesting that
- 1:17:59Dan is the snake by the roadside, a Viper along the path
- 1:18:04that bites the horse's heels? Now there's an another
- 1:18:08interesting thing. If you go into the Book of
- 1:18:09Revelation and I didn't pull that one up, but when it talks
- 1:18:13about the 144,012 thousand people from each tribe, notice
- 1:18:19this Dan is not listed. The tribe of Dan does not have
- 1:18:27representation in the Book of Revelation.
- 1:18:31So all of these pieces throughout the Bible lead me to
- 1:18:36believe that, you know the reference to striking the heel
- 1:18:39from the very first, the 3rd chapter of Genesis.
- 1:18:42Then in chapter 49 it says he's going to be a snake in a Viper
- 1:18:47and he's going to bite the horse's heels so that the rider
- 1:18:51tumbles backwards. So I just I don't think there's
- 1:18:57good things about Dan. Why is his tribe missing?
- 1:19:00Why are there 12,000 missing from the tribe of Dan?
- 1:19:03Is it because he turned out evil?
- 1:19:06He chose evil, he rejected God. Something to think about South
- 1:19:13and is this distant land, you know, coming from a distant land
- 1:19:16we always think about as another area of the the earth or
- 1:19:20whatever. But what if it means she'll what
- 1:19:24if it's the, you know, this Angel that comes down from
- 1:19:26heaven and opens up the abyss and Apollyon the destroyer comes
- 1:19:30out. Now here's another thing about
- 1:19:33Dan in Deuteronomy chapter 33 verse 22 about Dan, he said Dan
- 1:19:38is a lion's cub springing out of Bashan.
- 1:19:45Isn't that interesting? So let's dive deeper into this.
- 1:19:50Remember earlier in Jeremiah verse 7A, lion has come out of
- 1:19:56his lair, a destroyer of nations has set out.
- 1:20:00So the lion and the destroyer are linked here and and we know
- 1:20:05that sometime you know, there there's a lion is, you know, is
- 1:20:08related to. God, but not in this case.
- 1:20:12This is a lion has come out of his lair, a destroyer of nations
- 1:20:16to set out. Now it says about Dan, he is a
- 1:20:19lion's cub. So he's like a baby.
- 1:20:23Let's call it a baby, an offspring of this, this, this
- 1:20:28lion who is a destroyer springing out of Bashan.
- 1:20:33BASHAN. That is significant, and we
- 1:20:38could pass right over it and not pay attention to it at all.
- 1:20:42But we need to look into that deeper because here's where it
- 1:20:49is. Bashan had this king called Ogg.
- 1:20:54Ogg was described as the last of the refaeum and a giant, so it
- 1:21:01gave his bed size, which I think was like 9 or 14 feet long is
- 1:21:07how the physical description of it that they talked about Ogg.
- 1:21:11And there's another one in Cyhan too.
- 1:21:13There's another king too of this area, but this area was up by
- 1:21:18Mount Hermon and Jesus talked about the gates of Hades will
- 1:21:24not prevail. Like is this where everything
- 1:21:28comes from? It's up in the north, and it's
- 1:21:31just something interesting to contemplate.
- 1:21:37So I want to read a little bit about the Raphaean because
- 1:21:41that's what this area was. And the Raphaean were an ancient
- 1:21:45people described in the Hebrew Bible as both mighty giants and
- 1:21:51shades slash spirits of the dead.
- 1:21:57So again, we are getting into something spiritual and this is
- 1:22:00the Bible. This is when you do a deep dive
- 1:22:02in the Bible. When you find these things out,
- 1:22:04you can skim right over it and say, I don't recognize these
- 1:22:06words. I don't know where these places
- 1:22:08are and not look into it. But when you look into the
- 1:22:10words, into the cities and all of that stuff, you start to see
- 1:22:14something that's hidden in the Bible.
- 1:22:17While the Bible depicts them as powerful enemies whom the
- 1:22:21Israelites eventually defeated, ancient Near Eastern text
- 1:22:26suggest a complex role as venerated ancestral kings.
- 1:22:32The term Refaeim is not a specific ethnic name, but a
- 1:22:37descriptive term, possibly meaning terrible ones or
- 1:22:43relating to the root for healing.
- 1:22:46Biblical accounts, the Raphaim, are mentioned in the Abrahamic
- 1:22:49narratives in Generation in Genesis 14 as a people defeated
- 1:22:54by invaders. They are later associated with
- 1:22:58Ogg, King of Bachchan, who is described as the last of the
- 1:23:03Raphaim and a giant. They were primarily associated
- 1:23:07with the region of Bachchan or the Transjordan area and other
- 1:23:12areas of Canaan, including near Jerusalem in the valley of
- 1:23:17Raphaeim, then underworld imagery in other biblical text
- 1:23:24such as Isaiah and Psalms. The term Raphaeim refers to the
- 1:23:30deep souls dwelling in shale. Now remember that other
- 1:23:36connection in verse 16 where it says a besieging army is coming
- 1:23:41from a distant land. But the word is eris and when
- 1:23:44you look in the deeper definition of the word how it's
- 1:23:47used in the Bible, it can reference shale she'll the
- 1:23:51underworld. And again this says again I'll
- 1:23:55repeat in other biblical texts such as Isaiah and Psalms, the
- 1:23:59term Raphaim refers to the departed souls dwelling in
- 1:24:04shale. Then you have in the Book of
- 1:24:07Revelation, the Angel opening up the the abyss where the
- 1:24:10destroyer is, and the destroyer is linked to a lion and the lion
- 1:24:15is linked to Dan and Dan is missing from the 144,000 tribes
- 1:24:20in the Book of Revelation. This is there's just a lot here.
- 1:24:25I don't believe there's all these coincidences.
- 1:24:28I think this is probably some information in here that if you
- 1:24:35get when you finally study. So let's see.
- 1:24:40I don't know if there's anything Israel's Israelites suppression.
- 1:24:44The Israelites emphasis on monotheism and a direct
- 1:24:48relationship with Yahweh LED a reinterpretation of the
- 1:24:52refereeing, transforming them from active ancestral spirits
- 1:24:57into either powerless ghosts or defeated enemies.
- 1:25:02That's really interesting. So anyway, there's there's
- 1:25:07something strange about interesting that that comes
- 1:25:14about this I and I just I don't know, I'm starting to think this
- 1:25:17is what's going to happen. This is more spiritual like when
- 1:25:20Jesus returns. It seems like that's when that a
- 1:25:24biscuits opened up and then there's like hell on earth
- 1:25:27because it says like the believers are not going to be
- 1:25:29subject to God's wrath where he allows the free will of these
- 1:25:34evil ones to do what they want to the people because the people
- 1:25:38have been obstinate to God. They have not turned to God.
- 1:25:42That's why it's so important for us to be turned to God to have
- 1:25:47that protection from God. Because if what I'm reading
- 1:25:51right now and contemplating is the in reality, we are not going
- 1:25:56to be fit for that battle. We can't fight against these
- 1:26:00spiritual entities that have more power.
- 1:26:03God is greater. God can protect us, but if we
- 1:26:06aren't surrendered to God, we are exposed to this.
- 1:26:10If we are still in unrepentant sin, we are subjecting ourselves
- 1:26:15to that. We can't blame God for it when
- 1:26:17it happens because God's warned us all throughout the Bible.
- 1:26:21If we're going to stay unreported, we're going to get
- 1:26:24what God says. This is what's going to happen
- 1:26:26to you. So we need to have the fear of
- 1:26:31God by reading the word of God and knowing what God says.
- 1:26:36So again, God doesn't just like, you know, destroying people at
- 1:26:42all. He keeps warning and keeps
- 1:26:44warning, but people don't listen and he keeps sending people to
- 1:26:47warn people and they don't listen or they make get made fun
- 1:26:50of and all this stuff. Well, we're in like we're in
- 1:26:52that time today to like how many people just say, oh, they've
- 1:26:56been talking about this forever, Especially when you get these
- 1:26:58fake, oh gosh, these fake visions or people who are having
- 1:27:05dreams that are saying the rapture is this specific date
- 1:27:09that can cause people to lose faith and when it doesn't
- 1:27:13happen. So I see that as well.
- 1:27:17And but yet at the same time, I also feel like God is really
- 1:27:21warning US, warning this generation right now, just like
- 1:27:25he did in the past, and people are going to blow it off and
- 1:27:28they're not going to listen. So if you've heard this podcast,
- 1:27:33you've been warned. You can make up your own mind
- 1:27:35about what you want to do with the result of hearing this
- 1:27:38information. But at least you know, I'm
- 1:27:41warning from things that I see here.
- 1:27:44And we're doing a Bible study. So now again, God doesn't leave
- 1:27:48this as like why this happens, like we can't say God is not we.
- 1:27:52We have to know that God is just.
- 1:27:54And here he gives the reason he goes.
- 1:27:57Your own conduct and actions have brought this on you.
- 1:28:02This is your punishment. How bitter it is, how it pierces
- 1:28:07to the heart, like because of our free will, we're bringing
- 1:28:12this on ourselves. We also have the free will to
- 1:28:14say, God help me, God rescue me, God, you know, change me.
- 1:28:20That's what God is looking for us to do.
- 1:28:23So don't stay obstinate to God because it's only going to hurt
- 1:28:28you. It's only going to destroy you.
- 1:28:31Oh, my anguish, my anguish. I writhe in pain.
- 1:28:34Oh, the agony of my heart. My heart pounds within me.
- 1:28:37I cannot keep silent. This is Jeremiah.
- 1:28:40But for I have heard the sound of the trumpet.
- 1:28:46I have heard the battle cry. So again, this is the warning.
- 1:28:50Jeremiah's heard it. Disaster follows disaster.
- 1:28:55That reminds me of what Jesus said in Matthew 24.
- 1:28:58You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you
- 1:29:02are not alarmed, such things must happened, but the end is
- 1:29:05still to come. In Mark chapter 13 it says when
- 1:29:10you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed.
- 1:29:13Such things must happened, but the end is still to come.
- 1:29:18So wars keep continuing on until the eventual day of the Lord
- 1:29:24arrives. Disaster follows disaster, for
- 1:29:28the whole land lies in ruins. In an instant my tents are
- 1:29:32destroyed. Remember how it says suddenly
- 1:29:35when people are saying peace and security or peace and safety?
- 1:29:38Then comes sudden destruction in an instant.
- 1:29:41So Jeremiah says, in an instant, my tents are destroyed, my
- 1:29:45shelter in a moment. How long must I see the battle
- 1:29:50standard and hear the sound of the trumpet?
- 1:29:53So I wonder if Jeremiah was having a vision when all this
- 1:29:56stuff happened. Like, he's just, you know, in
- 1:29:58desperation, Like he saw this and he's warning them.
- 1:30:01He's like, this is what I've seen.
- 1:30:04My people are fools. They do not know me.
- 1:30:06They are senseless children. They have no understanding.
- 1:30:09They are skilled in doing evil and know not how to do good.
- 1:30:14I looked at the earth and it was formless and empty, and the
- 1:30:18heavens and at the heavens and their light was gone.
- 1:30:23Now this is what I looked at the mountains and they were quaking
- 1:30:27at the hills and they were swaying.
- 1:30:30This is what it sounds like. When Jesus returns at the 6th
- 1:30:35seal, I'm going to read this. I watched as he opened the 6th
- 1:30:39seal. There was a great earthquake
- 1:30:42again, just like Jeremiah says. He says the mountains were
- 1:30:46quaking. There was a great earthquake.
- 1:30:49The sun turned black, like sackcloth made of goat hair.
- 1:30:53Now goat hair is like, you know, of mourning and it's black,
- 1:30:57which is usually evil, but the sun disappeared.
- 1:31:02Now in all those prior we talked about when Jesus returns the day
- 1:31:05of the Lord, this, you know, the sun just continues to shine.
- 1:31:09The moon turns blood red before the day of the coming of Lord,
- 1:31:12and the stars fall from the sky. Do does that really mean that
- 1:31:17the literal stars fall from the sky?
- 1:31:21I, you know, I guess it could, there could be meteors
- 1:31:24happening. The stars could also be symbolic
- 1:31:28like in the Book of Revelation, because the stars are symbolic
- 1:31:31in the Book of Revelation of angels and Satan is symbolic of
- 1:31:36the dragon and the Dragon's tail sweeps 1/3 of the stars in
- 1:31:42heaven, the angels in heaven down to the earth.
- 1:31:45So again, could this when the stars fall from the sky mean the
- 1:31:50angels fall from the sky that all this happens?
- 1:31:54Like there's just this big, you know, like Jesus said, there's
- 1:31:57going to be this calamity that has never occurred before that
- 1:32:00never will again. It's probably like all of these
- 1:32:04heavenly entities, like from heaven, the evil things out of
- 1:32:08heaven are coming down to the earth and then the angels open
- 1:32:11up the abyss. So it's coming from below.
- 1:32:13Also she'll, you know, maybe there's going to be giants
- 1:32:17coming or people spirits that are coming and you know, the
- 1:32:20wrath of God. All of these things get to do
- 1:32:23their own free will and God allows it to happen because
- 1:32:26people are unrepentant and it's coming against the sinners.
- 1:32:32It certainly puts this picture together.
- 1:32:35So again, Revelation 6, verse 12 and to the end.
- 1:32:39I watched as he opened the 6th seal.
- 1:32:42There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like
- 1:32:45sackcloth made of goat hair, The whole moon turned blood red, and
- 1:32:49the stars in the sky fell to earth as figs drop from a fig
- 1:32:54tree when shaken by a strong wind.
- 1:32:58Remember that also in Jeremiah he talks.
- 1:33:02What about that strong wind? He said A scorching wind from
- 1:33:07the barren heights in the desert blows toward my people.
- 1:33:12Kind of interesting. The heavens Back to Revelation
- 1:33:166. The heavens receded like a
- 1:33:18scroll being rolled up. Every mountain and island was
- 1:33:24removed from its place. So Jeremiah 24 or Jeremiah 4
- 1:33:30verse 24 says all the hills were swaying, so every mountain and
- 1:33:36island was moved from its place. There was a great shaking.
- 1:33:39Then the kings of the earth, the Princess, the generals, the
- 1:33:43rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid
- 1:33:50in caves and among the rocks of the mountains.
- 1:33:55So this is not going to be God's people.
- 1:33:57He's not bringing wrath on His people.
- 1:33:59These are the unrepentant, the current sinners that have never
- 1:34:04turned to God. They're going to be fearing God
- 1:34:08because they know the wrath of God.
- 1:34:10I don't know how they know this, but I guess it's just so scary
- 1:34:13that they're just sort of hiding in the caves and on the rocks in
- 1:34:16the mountains. But then listen to what is said
- 1:34:19next. They called to the mountains and
- 1:34:22the rocks fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on
- 1:34:29the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb.
- 1:34:33The wrath of the Lamb. The Lamb is representative of
- 1:34:36Jesus. Him who sits on the throne, I
- 1:34:38believe is the Father. Perhaps it could be Jesus.
- 1:34:42I'm, you know, I'm not quite sure yet, but or it's just both
- 1:34:47of them are referring to Jesus. He's sitting on the throne and
- 1:34:50it's the wrath of the Lamb. So it's saying to hide us.
- 1:34:54So this is interesting because these people know the truth, but
- 1:35:00they've rejected it. So again, God is not doing
- 1:35:04something unjust. You know, if if they didn't
- 1:35:07know, they'd be like, what's going on?
- 1:35:09You know, what is this? They're not going to say hide us
- 1:35:11from him. How?
- 1:35:13You know, like who sits on the throne?
- 1:35:16They know he's on the throne and they know it's the wrath of him.
- 1:35:21So it's, they're not like, it's not like, who is this?
- 1:35:25What's going on here? They're not confused in that
- 1:35:27way. They know.
- 1:35:28So again, this shows the justice of God when he brings about
- 1:35:33wrath. These are people who rejected
- 1:35:35him. It's not innocent people who
- 1:35:39didn't know. These people know it's Him.
- 1:35:43It says for the great day of their wrath has come, and who
- 1:35:48can withstand it. This is when wrath has come at
- 1:35:52the 6th seal. That's when the wrath starts.
- 1:35:56And those people who are believers are not subject to
- 1:35:59wrath. It says that in Scripture as
- 1:36:00well. So if you are a believer, if
- 1:36:02you've reported the return to Christ and asked for the Holy
- 1:36:05Spirit to start guiding your life, you don't have to fear
- 1:36:08anything after this. You'll see Jesus return, but it
- 1:36:12says that we're gathered to Him so we don't have anything to
- 1:36:15return or to fear. The wrath comes after that and
- 1:36:18these are for people who are unrepentant sinners.
- 1:36:25So let's keep going. This is even, you know,
- 1:36:30continues to be interesting. We're almost finished with us.
- 1:36:32I looked and there were no people.
- 1:36:34Every bird in the sky had flown away.
- 1:36:36That's interesting. So there's a I looked and there
- 1:36:40were no people. You would think there's still be
- 1:36:42a lot of people, but you know, they were hidden.
- 1:36:44Or maybe you know, some of them have already gone up to Jesus.
- 1:36:48Perhaps these are speculations. I looked and the fruitful land
- 1:36:52was a desert. All its towns lay in ruins
- 1:36:56before the Lord, before his fierce anger.
- 1:37:00The whole land will be ruined, though I will not destroy it
- 1:37:04completely. Therefore the earth will mourn
- 1:37:07and the heavens above grow dark, just like we read about the sun
- 1:37:11going dark. Because I have spoken and will
- 1:37:14not relent. I have decided and will not turn
- 1:37:18back at the sound of horsemen and Archers.
- 1:37:23Every town takes to flight. Now Archers, it's really
- 1:37:30interesting when you search Archers and there are certain
- 1:37:35groups who are identified as hunters and also as Archers and
- 1:37:39they're usually not ones that are really close to God.
- 1:37:45So The Archers, I did a little research in here and found some
- 1:37:49things that are very interesting.
- 1:37:51So Isaiah chapter 21, verse 17, it talks about there's a couple
- 1:37:57things that are interesting, like it sounds like there might
- 1:38:00be a year of time frame for this, like is God's wrath going
- 1:38:04to last a year long? There's a couple other things
- 1:38:06where people have come to that conclusion because they talk
- 1:38:09about like the flood of Noah and how it's like symbolic of the
- 1:38:13end times as well and the shelter of the people and it
- 1:38:16lasts for I think a year and 10 days.
- 1:38:19And so again, this is Isaiah 21 verse 16 says this is what the
- 1:38:24Lord says to me. Within one year, as a servant
- 1:38:28bound by contract would count it, all the splendor of Kedar
- 1:38:34will come to an end. Kedar.
- 1:38:36OK, so we got to look that up right?
- 1:38:38Then it says the survivors of The Archers comma, the warriors
- 1:38:43of Kedar comma will be few. So to me that's saying that The
- 1:38:50Archers are the warriors of Kedar and there's going to be
- 1:38:54few of them. So then let's look up Kadar.
- 1:38:58So it says the mighty men, the sons of Kadar.
- 1:39:02So what are who are the sons of Kadar?
- 1:39:05Kadar means dark. So it could be like darkness,
- 1:39:09like evil or something perhaps. So here's what it says.
- 1:39:16A son of Ishmael, the descendants of Kadar.
- 1:39:22Ishmael. Isn't that interesting that
- 1:39:26there's going to be a few of them?
- 1:39:29And when you look at the different religions, you look at
- 1:39:34what Muslims believe, there's a dispute between who is the first
- 1:39:43born of Abraham. Is it Ishmael or is it Isaac?
- 1:39:49Well, by physical, since Ishmael was the first one, but that
- 1:39:54wasn't God clearly said in the Bible.
- 1:39:57Yeah, you'd kind of jumped the gun, Abraham.
- 1:40:00That wasn't what was intended. Yours is going to be Isaac.
- 1:40:04That's the one I was talking about.
- 1:40:06So God clears that up and then he also repeats this promise or
- 1:40:11this covenant to 1st Abraham, then to Isaac and then to Jacob.
- 1:40:16So he does repeat it several times.
- 1:40:19So there isn't a confusion. But I think that's what the
- 1:40:22Muslims again, you know, the enemy is always trying to change
- 1:40:27the narrative, change the history.
- 1:40:29And that's again what I feel so bad for the people, the Muslim
- 1:40:33people, that they have this deception because that's what it
- 1:40:40is. The Bible was written before it
- 1:40:41was written 600 years before Muhammad got these visions or 5
- 1:40:46or 600 years before Muhammad got these visions.
- 1:40:48And in the Bible it says if an Angel tells you a gospel just
- 1:40:53different than what we have told you, let them be accursed.
- 1:40:58So do you want to follow an Angel?
- 1:41:00That is said in the Bible, which was written in 90AD and then I
- 1:41:05quote prophet. There's false prophets out there
- 1:41:08and Jesus warned about false prophets.
- 1:41:11So then you're going to listen to this false prophet?
- 1:41:14Muhammad did not live a sinless life who did a lot of really
- 1:41:20horrible things. I think he married an 8 year old
- 1:41:24or 9 year old and even consummated that marriage with
- 1:41:29an 8 or 9 year old. That's not really good.
- 1:41:32He also, like, went out and like killed people.
- 1:41:36And you know, that's, you know, you have Jesus who laid down his
- 1:41:40life for all of us to give us life.
- 1:41:43Then you have Muhammad who goes out and massacres people.
- 1:41:48I just don't understand why anyone would choose to put
- 1:41:54Muhammad higher, which is what the Islamic faith do.
- 1:41:57They, they recognize Jesus, but they say Muhammad's a greater
- 1:41:59prophet and I don't think so at all.
- 1:42:02I think Muhammad is was deceived by a fallen Angel and then had
- 1:42:10this whole, you know, different story that denies Jesus.
- 1:42:15If you look at the, the bottom line between the religions is
- 1:42:20that it's a denial of Jesus as the son of God because that is
- 1:42:25foundational to Christian belief.
- 1:42:27Not and it doesn't even matter whose belief it is, but that is
- 1:42:30foundational to our salvation. That's what it what's important
- 1:42:34about it doesn't matter who believes what branch believes
- 1:42:38what. It just means that Jesus is the
- 1:42:43only way into the Kingdom of God.
- 1:42:46His sacrifice on the cross is the only way he resurrected from
- 1:42:51being dead. He rose again and it was
- 1:42:54witnessed by 4 or 500 people at one time and numerous people who
- 1:42:58have all accounted for it. All of his closest people, their
- 1:43:01lives were, they were killed, most of them, many of them
- 1:43:06because they would not deny him. And Jesus said no greater love
- 1:43:11than to lay ones life down for one another, so people would not
- 1:43:14deny him. And Jesus said if you deny me, I
- 1:43:18will deny you in front of the Father.
- 1:43:20Well, his followers did not deny him.
- 1:43:22They were loyal to him. So there is like a massive
- 1:43:27deception. And we look at Islam and how
- 1:43:29that's growing as far as a religion in the world, and
- 1:43:33that's very scary. This is what I think is the
- 1:43:36great deception. And I also tend to think that it
- 1:43:39might be the first rider on the horse that sets out to conquer
- 1:43:43this spiritual entity. We know from other books in the
- 1:43:47Bible that the horses are spiritual entities that go out
- 1:43:51throughout the earth. And so this is something thing
- 1:43:54that appears to be a savior, appears to be good, but it's
- 1:43:58actually bent on conquering, on conquering people.
- 1:44:01And I do think that is Islam. And I do think that is a great
- 1:44:06deception. And you know what we're getting
- 1:44:09here in the book of Jeremiah, written 500 BC, not AD, but 500
- 1:44:14BC at the sound of horsemen and Archers.
- 1:44:18Now we're tying The Archers into descendants of Ishmael, and
- 1:44:26that's very concerning. It's a warning because it says
- 1:44:29that there are going to be very few of them in the end.
- 1:44:34So this is a warning, like if people can wake up and learn
- 1:44:40that. I mean, that's in Isaiah that it
- 1:44:42talks about. There's very few of them in
- 1:44:44Isaiah 21 verse 17. They're survivors of The
- 1:44:48Archers. The warriors of Kadar will be
- 1:44:51few. The Lord the God of Israel has
- 1:44:54spoken. You don't want to be on the
- 1:44:56wrong side. And until Jesus returns, there's
- 1:45:00that opportunity to come to him and to believe in him.
- 1:45:03That's such a hard thing for Muslims because they get
- 1:45:06rejected from their families, from their communities, and in
- 1:45:09extreme places, they would even be killed for that.
- 1:45:12So I know what a great sacrifice a person would have to make who
- 1:45:18is raised Muslim. And we should all pray for the
- 1:45:22Muslim people that they can, that Jesus can be known by them
- 1:45:29and they can seek him before it's too late.
- 1:45:32Because it says those who love their lives will lose it, but
- 1:45:36those who lose their lives will gain it.
- 1:45:39If someone loses their life because of Jesus, you have hope.
- 1:45:45You will be in the Kingdom of God.
- 1:45:46And God has something that is prepared for.
- 1:45:50Jesus has gone to prepare a place for his people, his
- 1:45:54brothers, his sisters, and it's going to be something so
- 1:45:57incredibly awesome. You can find out a little bit
- 1:46:00about that in the last couple of chapters of the Book of
- 1:46:03Revelation. There's not a whole lot of
- 1:46:05detail, but there's a lot of good things planned.
- 1:46:08That's what gives people hope that we don't see death as the
- 1:46:13end of it all. All people were really
- 1:46:15essentially created to be eternal beings.
- 1:46:17But this time here on earth is sorting out where we are going
- 1:46:22to reside for eternity. Are we going to be with God or
- 1:46:26eternally separated from God? So I'm going to, I think, wrap
- 1:46:31up this. So starting at verse 29 in
- 1:46:35Jeremiah, at the sound of horsemen and Archers, every town
- 1:46:38takes to flight. Some go to the thickest, some
- 1:46:42climb up among the rocks. All the towns are deserted.
- 1:46:45No one lives in them. What are you doing?
- 1:46:48You devastated one? Why dress yourself in scarlet
- 1:46:52and put on jewels of gold? Why highlight your eyes with
- 1:46:56makeup? You adorn yourself in vain.
- 1:46:59Your lovers despise you. I think this is again, the
- 1:47:04spiritual idolatry that I was talking about.
- 1:47:06Like in music and art and all these things, like people get
- 1:47:10dressed up and they, you know, there's this, this, this kind of
- 1:47:14this sexual thing. That's what really got Israel in
- 1:47:16the beginning with Balaam and Balak.
- 1:47:18I talk about that a lot. But he couldn't curse them.
- 1:47:22This was a a false prophet or a prophet that probably got some
- 1:47:27things from the enemy and some things from God.
- 1:47:29He was spiritually attuned, but he couldn't curse Israel, but
- 1:47:34instead he gave a clue as well. You know, turn introduce them to
- 1:47:38the temple prostitutes. That way you'll get them.
- 1:47:40And that's what happened and it worked.
- 1:47:42And so it's that that sexual, you know, appeal that can really
- 1:47:50bring someone down when there's all these other things like for
- 1:47:54men, I guess, especially they, you know, this is what's going
- 1:47:59to be, you know, it's going to sound good, it's going to look
- 1:48:02good, but it's eventually going to destroy.
- 1:48:06And that's what the enemy does. He comes in a subtle way to
- 1:48:10deceive people because he ultimately, he doesn't care, he
- 1:48:13just wants to destroy. So again, I think this is where
- 1:48:19God's just talking about, you know, this is spiritual
- 1:48:22idolatry. Like, don't make yourself up for
- 1:48:25all of that because that's in vain, because they just want to
- 1:48:28kill you. That alluring thing isn't going
- 1:48:32to pay off in the end. I hear a cry of a woman in
- 1:48:37labor, a groan of one bearing her first child, the cry of
- 1:48:42daughter Zion gasping for breath, stretching out her hands
- 1:48:46and saying, at last I'm fainting.
- 1:48:49My life is given over to murderers.
- 1:48:54So there is like a very distraught thing the the labor
- 1:48:57pains. That's always often the end
- 1:49:02Times reference. And again, I forgot one more
- 1:49:07verse that I was going to quote about Ishmael in Genesis 16,
- 1:49:11verse 12. He will be a wild donkey of a
- 1:49:15man. His hand will be against
- 1:49:18everyone and everyone's hand against him, and he will live in
- 1:49:22hostility towards all of his brothers.
- 1:49:27So they're like half brothers, but that just shows us what's
- 1:49:31happening today between the Israelites and the Arabs, the
- 1:49:37Muslims and the Jewish people. They are essentially step
- 1:49:41brothers, but they have this hostility that has gone on since
- 1:49:45the first book of the Bible, that he will live in hostility
- 1:49:49towards all his brothers. You know, Ishmael kind of
- 1:49:52connected with all the Arabs, and then Isaac is connected with
- 1:49:56the Jewish people. And we have this, this, you
- 1:50:00know, problem since the book of Genesis, that again, if we would
- 1:50:06just read the Bible, we would understand what this is, that
- 1:50:09there's something spiritual behind all of this and something
- 1:50:14that when we recognize it doesn't have to overpower us
- 1:50:16because we fight that in a spiritual sense with the Holy
- 1:50:22Spirit. When we surrender to God, when
- 1:50:24we receive the Holy Spirit, that's how we can fight this
- 1:50:30off. So anyway, I'll see how long
- 1:50:33this this thing. Oh gosh, almost two hours.
- 1:50:36OK, so probably I don't know if anybody's listens to this.
- 1:50:39So anyway, I am not going to read any more of the questions
- 1:50:42and answers in the study Bible. But that concludes Jeremiah
- 1:50:45chapter 4.
