  Speaker 2: then I got three softball tournaments this weekend or this

  Speaker 2: month too, so it's a busy, a busy coaching week.

  Speaker 2: And also I still got spring breakoff. That hasn't changed

  Speaker 2: March madness. Hey, it ain't that far away, brother, it

  Speaker 2: I remember last year you and I watched a game

  Speaker 2: and I believe it was Yukon playing at Marquette, and

  Speaker 2: Marquette got up like twelve to two. The place was

  Speaker 2: going fucking bonkers, and Yukon is sluggish and they don't

  Speaker 2: call time out. Man. I remember we literally started a

  Speaker 2: podcast off. I remember saying this team. I was like,

  Speaker 2: I was like, what kind of college basketball team doesn't

  Speaker 2: call time out down the road when the other stadium

  Speaker 2: is going insane? I said, that team that's got some guts.

  Speaker 2: Now to flip the script, Yukon playing Saint John's on

  Speaker 2: Friday is up like seventeen points in the first half.

  Speaker 2: They came out shooting eighty percent. I know they hit

  Speaker 2: their first eight out of ten. I think they hit

  Speaker 2: hit their first like twelve out of fifteen. Yukon could

  Speaker 2: not miss Saint John's. Chris led it half. So last

  Speaker 2: year I got tip the cap to Yukon and I

  Speaker 2: did not keep track of Patito's timeouts, but I think

  Speaker 2: they had a couple of TV timeouts which helped them.

  Speaker 2: They were beneficial. But dude, you're down seventeen to the

  Speaker 2: former back to back National champs and that gym is

  Speaker 2: going effing insane. And I know they're having a bit

  Speaker 2: of a down here this year, but that team is

  Speaker 2: still no scrubs and you're down seventeen early and you

  Speaker 2: go into halftime up. I mean, come on, dude, Like

  Speaker 2: I know their their win loss record maybe isn't the

  Speaker 2: most sexy sting because they've not played this most right teams,

  Speaker 2: But to do that, like I want to stay in

  Speaker 2: my car now for Saint John's. I'm not gonna call

  Speaker 2: it in the National Champs, but it is a rare

  Speaker 2: breed Chris for to be a college basketball team went

  Speaker 2: on the road. It's hard enough to do anyways, period,

  Speaker 2: but to do it at National champs Arena when he

  Speaker 2: play some f and defense. They can't shoot the three ball,

  Speaker 2: for shit. But Saint John's has some boys. Patino's got

  Speaker 2: them cooking. They only got three losses on the year,

  Speaker 2: but that was a really impressive win because so many

  Speaker 2: teams in college basketball. Dude, you fade away or you

  Speaker 2: come back in the second half, but not in the

  Speaker 2: first half. When you get punched like three times, you

  Speaker 2: punch back. That was a really impressive first half. I

  Speaker 2: know this is kind of like pinpoint something small, but

  Speaker 1: knocking off Michigan State. That's ZNA BYU. They ended up

  Speaker 1: getting a victory on the road. That was a really

  Speaker 1: good game. Old Miss put up ninety eight points to

  Speaker 1: ninety eight to ninety four. I think it was over Kentucky,
• 7:43
  Speaker 1: and Kentucky defensively is really struggling right now, that's for sure.

  Speaker 1: Versus ranked teams. Old Miss was having some issues, but

  Speaker 1: they they look like they're they've turned it around a
• 7:55
  Speaker 1: little bit. But going back kind of going to Saint
• 7:58
  Speaker 1: John's again beating Marquette. You know, at half competitive game.

  Speaker 1: Obviously Marquete's technically up and you know Saint John's kind
• 8:13
  Speaker 1: of was starting to separate themselves a little bit. You know,

  Speaker 1: they got it up to maybe seven or eight points,

  Speaker 1: then Marquette would grind it back down and it kind
• 8:25
  Speaker 1: of had that scenario for a little while and Saint

  Speaker 1: John's just kept them at bay. It's forty five to

  Speaker 1: forty three with eleven minutes left, after a Cam Johnson layup, boom,

  Speaker 1: they get another bucket right after it, and then another

  Speaker 1: bucket and so in another one. They got it all

  Speaker 1: the way to fifty to forty five and eight minutes

  Speaker 1: left and Cam Jones man makes a couple of free

  Speaker 1: thoughs gets it going and next thing you know, they

  Speaker 1: They actually they ended up pulling up on them fifty

  Speaker 1: made their free throws to an extent, obviously, but that

  Speaker 1: was just a grinded out game that could have went

  Speaker 1: either way. But the you know, the free throws, we

  Speaker 1: were really clutched by Saint John's down the stretch and

  Speaker 1: they ended up winning comfortable enough to where they didn't

  Speaker 1: have to defend and and you know, have some kind

  Speaker 1: of shot that almost went in or something like that.

  Speaker 1: But yeah, I'd say Saint John's making them their free

  Speaker 1: throws like maybe the last eight minutes was really really big.

  Speaker 1: And obviously Marquette had a tough week and we'll get

  Speaker 1: into that as well. But yeah, Saint John's. Man, they're

  Speaker 1: in the top ten now, their ninth I think it

  Speaker 1: is for the first time in a long long time.

  Speaker 2: Yeah, it's been I remember when I was living in Minneapolis,

  Speaker 2: they had some good squads even back then, like they

  Speaker 2: weren't normally they might make the tournament, but they were

  Speaker 2: never ranked in the top ten ties. So it's it's

  Speaker 1: Three of sixteen, two from three. By the way, they

  Speaker 1: had thirty one. The crazy thing is they had thirty

  Speaker 1: one attenths at the free throw line, so they shot

  Speaker 1: that when I'm watching, I'm thinking, man, they're struggling from

  Speaker 2: a great center, they play physical, they pressed you, and

  Speaker 2: they just they find ways to win. Maybe that unconventional

  Speaker 2: different styles benefit them. Who knows, Uh, definitely there. You

  Speaker 2: gotta be happy that that Kadari Richmond from Syracuse transferred

  Speaker 2: over because he's been beneficial just your point of Kentucky

  Speaker 2: Like it's really I'm just gonna jump head crazy here,

  Speaker 2: but in March Madness, it'll just spend who they play,

  Speaker 2: because that team, if you watch Kentucky Plate, they can

  Speaker 2: not good. Like I know this Mark Pulpe guy obviously

  Speaker 2: has brought a lot of high caliber players in with

  Speaker 2: him from BYU and he transferred over to takeover coach Cal.

  Speaker 2: They've had a pretty handful of good last few tournaments. Chris,

  Speaker 2: they're not a joke. This Kentucky team, man, these last

  Speaker 2: of a football game, but I just kind of supported

  Speaker 2: that school, and you had two heartbreakers Wednesday, you were up.

  Speaker 2: You were up at half in Tennessee, which is definitely

  Speaker 2: something to be proud of the way they've been playing

  Speaker 2: this year, up thirty four to twenty eight and half

  Speaker 2: in Vall's Land. But then Tennessee came out really hot

  Speaker 2: in the second half and went from being down six

  Speaker 2: to about up ten. Now, to give him Zoo credit,

  Speaker 2: they hung in there, they hung around. But down the stretch, Tennis,

  Speaker 2: he made enough place Tennessee's been played really good basketball there.

  Speaker 2: Maybe again swept under the rug just just a little

  Speaker 2: bit from the media because Alabama and Aubert have been

  Speaker 2: up top, but Tennessee is definitely not a need to

  Speaker 2: take lightly. So Tennessee rallies back to win. Rutgers, man,

  Speaker 2: their story, It just I don't that team is just weird,

  Speaker 2: Like they have two of the best guards in the

  Speaker 2: country and they're twelve and eleven on the year, Chris,

  Speaker 2: but they beat a really good Illinois team that day

  Speaker 2: and when Harper's playing guard with him, he's special too.

  Speaker 2: But it seems like they alternate wins and losses all

  Speaker 2: the time and obviously will be a tournament team. And

  Speaker 2: then the only other ranked game that day was Michigan

  Speaker 2: defeated Oregon, which was a bit surprising because as we

  Speaker 2: were talking about last week, Oregon was ranked thirteenth not
• 13:43
  Speaker 2: too long ago and they've been on a downhill slide
• 13:46
  Speaker 2: and Michigan after that, Oregon was now nine to two
• 13:50
  Speaker 2: a conference, which so they they kind of have been
• 13:53
  Speaker 2: surprised with people. So obviously the Tennessee beating missoo is

  Speaker 2: one thing. Rutgers is a complete fifty to fifty crap

  Speaker 1: the Saint John's win at Yukon you kind of already discussed,

  Speaker 2: until midway through the second half. But you just kept thinking, Okay, hey,

  Speaker 2: it's college basketball, like their Auburn's gonna make her run.

  Speaker 2: They're gonna make a run. They're undefeated at home, They're

  Speaker 2: gonna make her run. They never the score really doesn't

  Speaker 2: even present the trueness of that game. You're right, Chris,
