- 1:49Speaker 3: they didn't get to meet any other animals. But they've

- 2:24Speaker 3: you could take three if that sounds like something that
- 2:27Speaker 3: take gone. Yeah, so the process is pretty easy. You

- 2:33Speaker 3: is located at forty two forty two South three hundred

- 3:14Speaker 2: afield here. He's so soft. Yeah, you'd like to have
- 3:18Speaker 2: a cat. Wouldn't be caring. I would actually butt your
- 3:21Speaker 2: Your dog would not stand. My dog would not stand.
- 3:23Speaker 1: It's another kind of Hudson.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:25Speaker 1: What the what are those names come from? Is that
- 3:27Speaker 1: some literary reference I don't get or you know.
- 3:30Speaker 3: I was actually just trying to google it this morning,
- 3:32Speaker 3: and I think it might be a children's show that's
- 3:35Speaker 3: on right now. It's called Viva Pinata. Our admissions team
- 3:39Speaker 3: named these guys Viva. I may have to look into
- 3:42Speaker 3: that a little bit more.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Hooray for the Pinata. What is the policy on when
- 3:47Speaker 2: you adopt a cat and you give you have given
- 3:51Speaker 2: them names, do you have to keep those names?
- 3:54Speaker 3: Absolutely not. These guys would love to have a new name. They're,
- 3:59Speaker 3: like I said, don't two months old, so they probably
- 4:01Speaker 3: don't even know their names yet. So if you've got
- 4:04Speaker 3: something in mind that you would like to call these guys,
- 4:06Speaker 3: please feel free.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Oh yeah it is. I looked up Viva Pinata. That's why.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Well, we're having an escape over here.
- 4:15Speaker 2: He got he got really frisky there to escape. These
- 4:20Speaker 2: are great, so the Humane Society, Maddie, thanks for bringing
- 4:23Speaker 2: them in again. How do you contact the Humane Society
- 4:26Speaker 2: if you want to adopt one of these animals today?
- 4:29Speaker 3: For sure, I'd say the best way is just to
- 4:31Speaker 3: come on in. Our kittens do tend to find homes
- 4:33Speaker 3: quickly and adoptions. Our first comforst serve so one more time.
- 4:36Speaker 3: Our address is forty two forty two South three hundred
- 4:39Speaker 3: West and that's in Murrie, Utah. You can also view
- 4:41Speaker 3: all of our adoptable pets online at Utah Humane dot

- 4:46Speaker 2: There you go. Thanks for bringing them.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Thank you so much for having us on.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Okay, I think let's see if we can get these
- 4:51Speaker 2: guys out to new homes by the end of the day.
- 4:53Speaker 2: That'd be great. You should adopt me and give me
- 4:56Speaker 2: a better name than Franklin.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Fis bear. Yeah, Franklin is a perfectly good Frankly Yeah, but.
- 5:03Speaker 2: You could just leave that. Franklin's kind of a nice
- 5:07Speaker 2: name for a cat.
- 5:08Speaker 1: There's all kinds of so I looked up this Viva pinata.
- 5:12Speaker 1: There's there's Fergie fudgehog.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Don't get people any ideas.
- 5:18Speaker 1: There's there's Langston licatoad. Yeah, no, no, I like Lenggston Licoto.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Just call a cat Langston. That would be name and professor.
- 5:28Speaker 2: What's his name here? I would I would just call
- 5:30Speaker 2: him professor Professor. That would be the cat's name, Professor.
- 5:34Speaker 1: The professor, the professor pH d in adorableness.
- 5:43Speaker 2: That what's that? Boy? That one's really really wants to
- 5:47Speaker 2: get away?
- 5:48Speaker 1: There's cecil chocodile. If you had a brown kitty, choco.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Dile, crocodile.
- 5:55Speaker 1: You can get more creative with cat names than dog names.
- 5:58Speaker 1: I think, I don't know why why would you know that?
- 6:00Speaker 1: I'm just I mean, I have never named a cat.
- 6:03Speaker 1: I'm just saying, you know, like mister fluffy pants. I
- 6:06Speaker 1: don't know that you'd ever name a dog mister fluffy pants.
- 6:09Speaker 2: You might she had fluffy pants, like my cat did.
- 6:12Speaker 3: I've seen some pretty creative dog names come in over
- 6:15Speaker 3: the years. I wish I could think of a better example, right, now,
- 6:20Speaker 3: but we've had dogs that have come in with like
- 6:22Speaker 3: four names in a row, like a title and a suffix.
- 6:25Speaker 1: All of it.
- 6:27Speaker 2: I think. I think my cat Klaus has it has
- 6:30Speaker 2: more to his name, and I don't I don't remember
- 6:32Speaker 2: what it is now. It's just Klaus. We ever call him.
- 6:36Speaker 1: It's not goopy eyed Klaus.
- 6:39Speaker 2: He's not. He doesn't have a goopy eye anymore, but
- 6:42Speaker 2: he he that he was goopy eyed Klaus for for
- 6:45Speaker 2: quite a while.
- 6:46Speaker 1: It is nice that you can't. I'm on the Humane
- 6:47Speaker 1: Society dot org page and you can see all the pets.
- 6:51Speaker 1: There's pictures of them and their names, and our.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Website does also update automatically every fifteen minutes, so it's
- 6:58Speaker 3: a really accurate place to see who we have looking
- 7:01Speaker 3: for a home.
- 7:02Speaker 1: There's a guinea pig called Electric Mayhem there. You might
- 7:06Speaker 1: need the guinea pig.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Oh, you can adopt a guinea pig.
- 7:08Speaker 3: You can adopt a guinea pig. We have dogs, cats, rabbits.
- 7:12Speaker 3: Guinea pigs will occasionally get other small mammals like ferrets
- 7:15Speaker 3: or rats.
- 7:16Speaker 2: In We've adopted several rabbits over the years. I'm sorry, Franklin,
- 7:22Speaker 2: you can't touch the board, he'll shut us off. I
- 7:27Speaker 2: think they're ready. They were getting restless, aren't they. Yeah,
- 7:29Speaker 2: they are.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Oh, and then somebody's texted in that the Humane Society
- 7:34Speaker 1: is looking for temporary foster homes this weekend as well.
- 7:37Speaker 3: We were, but we actually had an amazing outpouring of
- 7:40Speaker 3: support and we got over three hundred applications in less
- 7:43Speaker 3: than twenty four hours, so we should be set. But
- 7:46Speaker 3: thank you so much to everyone he reached out to
- 7:48Speaker 3: help with that. It's really heartwarming.
- 7:50Speaker 2: We'll see. We're fostering a cat right now, and who
- 7:54Speaker 2: had his leg amputated, and he's up in our attic
- 7:58Speaker 2: where one of our furnaces is in. The guys from
- 8:00Speaker 2: Larson HVAC came yesterday to work on the furnaces and
- 8:04Speaker 2: I said, we'll be careful because there's a cat up
- 8:05Speaker 2: there and he needs to stay up in the up
- 8:07Speaker 2: in the attic, and they said, okay, well, we love cats.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Both of those guys wanted to adopt that kid. I
- 8:13Speaker 2: sat down for a second and he came, and he came.
- 8:15Speaker 2: He's only got three legs, but he jumped right into
- 8:17Speaker 2: my lap. He's so friendly, and he purred and he
- 8:20Speaker 2: wanted me to take him home. Larson Larson, HVAC guys
- 8:25Speaker 2: are just big softies when it comes to kitties.
- 8:28Speaker 1: All right, well thanks for bringing in the kiddies.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Yeah, thank you guys again.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Like a little kitty therapy, you know it helps
