- 3:05Speaker 1: just want to shout y'all out, man, because I feel
- 3:07Speaker 1: like I was just telling you before the interview started
- 3:10Speaker 1: like this record with wild A, I feel like it's
- 3:14Speaker 1: you know, you guys have put out amazing records before.
- 3:16Speaker 1: I'm I'm a real fan of what y'all do. But
- 3:19Speaker 1: like when I heard this song, I was like, Interscope
- 3:21Speaker 1: got a real like radio record to work, Like this
- 3:24Speaker 1: could be like a real hit record for y'all. Appreciate that, man, Yeah, man,
- 3:28Speaker 1: you know, it's just it's just one of those records. Well,
- 3:30Speaker 1: we like to always give the people something that they
- 3:33Speaker 1: can you know what I'm saying, live with you know
- 3:34Speaker 1: what I'm saying, Like outside the homes, outside the headphones,
- 3:37Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, Like we just want to
- 3:40Speaker 1: just create music where people could like move around and
- 3:42Speaker 1: do life to you know, even in the pandemic when
- 3:44Speaker 1: everybody inside and stuff. But it's like, you know, we
- 3:47Speaker 1: need that energy. You know, everybody don't need to be
- 3:50Speaker 1: sitting down the whole time. And shit, no, for sure,
- 3:52Speaker 1: I think like also, you guys, and you know you
- 3:55Speaker 1: mentioned the pandemic, like, thank you for you know, the
- 3:58Speaker 1: contributions to the spillage really jolbum because yeah, thank you bro.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Yeah that was much needed last year. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 4:06Speaker 1: it was a good vibe. Man, it was good time
- 4:08Speaker 1: to make it to time. Yeah, you know for people
- 4:10Speaker 1: who don't kind of know, I kind of look at
- 4:12Speaker 1: you guys as like the kind of like the closest
- 4:16Speaker 1: thing to what we have to Dungeon Family in twenty twenty,
- 4:19Speaker 1: twenty twenty one, you know, and I know you guys
- 4:21Speaker 1: have been rocking for a long time. A lot of
- 4:23Speaker 1: people think that that's like the first project, but you
- 4:24Speaker 1: guys have other projects. Projects. Yeah, yeah, like this is yeah,
- 4:30Speaker 1: like Mariva's Fire obviously, you know j I D. Black
- 4:34Speaker 1: kind of you know, I spoke with g I D
- 4:36Speaker 1: a bit about kind of his roots with Spillage Village
- 4:40Speaker 1: and like his early roots with Mariva and Black. But
- 4:45Speaker 1: how did you guys all form the collective? Like like initially,
- 4:49Speaker 1: because like I said, it's got an energy that is
- 4:52Speaker 1: very reminiscent of you know, some of the nineties hip
- 4:55Speaker 1: hop collectives, you know, like some native tongue shit, you
- 4:57Speaker 1: know what I mean. Initially it was just Us Jid
- 5:01Speaker 1: and and well initially just Us Jid and Hollywood JB.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Like initially because we all went to school together and
- 5:09Speaker 1: then once we all got out of school came back
- 5:11Speaker 1: to Atlanta, we didn't really know what to do with
- 5:14Speaker 1: ourselves much other than keep hanging out, you know what
- 5:16Speaker 1: I'm saying, keep hanging out and making music. So then
- 5:18Speaker 1: we looked up with Mariva, who we met while we
- 5:20Speaker 1: was in school, and she was still living here. She
- 5:22Speaker 1: started coming over more naturally. It's like Black, you know
- 5:26Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Hollywood Jab brought his brother Jordan, and
- 5:29Speaker 1: then Christo who is Ji's producer and DJ bro his
- 5:32Speaker 1: brother Benji. It was all just like we naturally just
- 5:34Speaker 1: hanging out together all the time anyway, just making music
- 5:36Speaker 1: all the time anyway. And then it was like, well,
- 5:37Speaker 1: we're gonna what do we call this? It's like a
- 5:39Speaker 1: village bros. Like, and then we keep called you the
- 5:41Speaker 1: spillage village because the ideas just kept coming out. That's
- 5:44Speaker 1: all we ever did. We got together. Yeah, it's crazy
- 5:46Speaker 1: too because I don't think like people really you know,
- 5:49Speaker 1: Black kind of had a meteoric rise in the last
- 5:52Speaker 1: three or four years, you know, and I don't think
- 5:54Speaker 1: people really kind of understand like his roots in and ship,
- 6:00Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, and even just like his
- 6:02Speaker 1: talent as like an MC, you know what I mean,
- 6:04Speaker 1: Like he could rap his het up. Yeah, Like was
- 6:08Speaker 1: that something like? Because I remember when his ship started
- 6:11Speaker 1: to kind of initially take off on SoundCloud and there
- 6:15Speaker 1: was like a lot of mystery behind it. But you guys,
- 6:17Speaker 1: being around him early on, did you guys kind of
- 6:19Speaker 1: always feel like like he was a star. It was
- 6:22Speaker 1: just a matter of time. He was just super focused,
- 6:24Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. When I first we first
- 6:26Speaker 1: met Black, I remember him talking about like deals he
- 6:29Speaker 1: got in and out of in high school. All like
- 6:30Speaker 1: bro in high school. We definitely wasn't talking about no deals. Wow,
- 6:33Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, Like, you know what I'm saying,
- 6:36Speaker 1: he just had he had a different exposure to the
- 6:39Speaker 1: game that we could that we all learned from. You
- 6:41Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. I think part of his main
- 6:43Speaker 1: speeld is so great was the longest time we all
- 6:46Speaker 1: have learned stuff from each other. You know what I'm saying.
- 6:48Speaker 1: We've all like taken little like humorous stuff from Jid
- 6:51Speaker 1: or like you know what I'm saying, something like vocal
- 6:53Speaker 1: cues that all lose, We've all learned it. I remember
- 6:56Speaker 1: I learned from Black. Black used to he first was
- 6:59Speaker 1: doing his melodies. He would have the mic super turned up,
- 7:02Speaker 1: super high and be saying him very softly. So he
- 7:05Speaker 1: would be sleeping in the living room and wake up
- 7:07Speaker 1: in the middle of the night or make him in
- 7:08Speaker 1: the middle of the day and just be recording. I'd
- 7:10Speaker 1: be like, what he doing over there? I didn't know
- 7:11Speaker 1: he was actually making stuff. And then he'll play it
- 7:13Speaker 1: and be like, Okay, Wow, that's a cool technique. So
- 7:16Speaker 1: he was always like picking up on each other techniques,
- 7:18Speaker 1: Like the whole time he was like all living in
- 7:20Speaker 1: the same house. That's an interesting recording technique. It's almost
- 7:22Speaker 1: like you could kind of be like off off in
- 7:24Speaker 1: the corner logo. That's what he's just turning up your
- 7:26Speaker 1: levels like crazy, you have everything turned up on his end,
- 7:29Speaker 1: and he was just being there wow. And then by
- 7:32Speaker 1: the time he would play it for us, like he
- 7:34Speaker 1: was like, yo, you just did that, Like while he's
- 7:36Speaker 1: over here, like you guys, yeah, playing mad or whatever.
- 7:39Speaker 1: We didn't even hear him doing that. We love that.
- 7:40Speaker 1: He was like that's fine, Yeah, that's that's crazy, man.
- 7:43Speaker 1: I do think like that. One of my favorite moments
- 7:46Speaker 1: of last year was your Guys Tiny Desk Show. I
- 7:48Speaker 1: thought that was like, yeah, I thought that was fucking special,
- 7:51Speaker 1: especially like like A mile away. Oh really okay, yeah, man,
- 7:54Speaker 1: that was I feel like those tiny desk shows are
- 7:57Speaker 1: so important and when they're done right, they're like game
- 8:01Speaker 1: changers because I think it really kind of shows like you.
- 8:05Speaker 1: It's almost like it takes out any theatrics. It's like
- 8:07Speaker 1: you and you got to be dope or you ain't dope,
- 8:10Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Colors did that for us too.
- 8:14Speaker 1: I remember the Colors you guys did a couple years ago.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Yeap when before him live it usually works with yeah,
- 8:19Speaker 1: I was telling him I met you guys originally in Tampa.
- 8:23Speaker 1: I don't remember what show it was, but it was
- 8:25Speaker 1: before you guys were officially signed to Dreamville. I don't
- 8:28Speaker 1: remember who who old did you guys open for? I
- 8:31Speaker 1: think it was probably did you you guys never opened
- 8:36Speaker 1: for Wale? Okay, okay, because I remember going to a
- 8:38Speaker 1: wal a show, but yeah, it was. I remember meeting
- 8:40Speaker 1: you guys like at the merch table, and you guys
- 8:43Speaker 1: were so like and at that time, I think I
- 8:45Speaker 1: had really just kind of heard your guys ship off
- 8:47Speaker 1: like two dope boys and like all the blog ship
- 8:49Speaker 1: and and I really hadn't even like dived in like
- 8:53Speaker 1: like all the way yet. But you guys have put
- 8:57Speaker 1: together like a really dope run over the last like
- 9:00Speaker 1: five or six years, just quality music. And with this
- 9:05Speaker 1: new record with Wila, I feel like it's kind of
- 9:08Speaker 1: like the icing on the cake, you know what I'm saying, Like,
- 9:11Speaker 1: like everything has worked to this point. You guys are
- 9:14Speaker 1: known obviously, you guys have you know, a very hardcore
- 9:16Speaker 1: fan base, but like I feel like now it's time
- 9:18Speaker 1: for like the world to get let in on Earth Game,
- 9:20Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Yeah, for sure, for sure,
- 9:22Speaker 1: we put in that groundwork. And even like even with
- 9:25Speaker 1: just the wil A record or the Grammy nominations and
- 9:28Speaker 1: like you know what I'm saying, the accolades and they're
- 9:30Speaker 1: getting seen like recognized doing shows over in duc and stuff.
- 9:34Speaker 1: It's like we put in all this groundwork over the
- 9:36Speaker 1: past few years, you know what I'm saying. To what,
- 9:38Speaker 1: like we had a fan base that made these moments possible,
- 9:41Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. Like it's not no industry
- 9:43Speaker 1: playing type stuff, not, you know what I'm saying, These
- 9:46Speaker 1: automatically open the doors for these guys, Like they prove
- 9:49Speaker 1: they worth you know, yeah, you guys got it from
- 9:50Speaker 1: the mud Man and it's you know, it's crazy too.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Did you do you guys ever feel like with your
- 9:55Speaker 1: name Earth Gang, like you guys had to win people
- 9:59Speaker 1: people over a bit because I felt like when I
- 10:01Speaker 1: heard the name Earth Gang, I was like I was
- 10:04Speaker 1: kind of like a bit like, oh, what is this? Yeah?
- 10:06Speaker 1: Is this something like like the are they rapping about
- 10:09Speaker 1: recycling or some ship? Like you know how many times
- 10:11Speaker 1: people said that in the beginning, But that was like
- 10:12Speaker 1: a very common joke. It was now now, which we
- 10:14Speaker 1: played on it more back then, but we we do.
- 10:16Speaker 1: We do obviously care about an environment, but that wasn't
- 10:19Speaker 1: like the focus name, you know what I'm saying, But
- 10:22Speaker 1: that that's dope to see, Like how many like how
- 10:25Speaker 1: at first that was like the thing like what is
- 10:27Speaker 1: their game? Now? Like you go to shows and you
- 10:29Speaker 1: don't care, Yeah, they won't they say they are Earth Gang,
- 10:32Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. Like now the fans are
- 10:33Speaker 1: like everybody we go, people own it for themselves, like
- 10:35Speaker 1: I'm Earth Gang too, I'm Earth Gang to you know
- 10:37Speaker 1: what I mean. The name of the group is we're
- 10:39Speaker 1: all on Earth facts. So Mirrorland came out was dope,
- 10:44Speaker 1: you guys, just like official debut album. This Spillage Village
- 10:48Speaker 1: project was real special. Now we got the waal a single,
- 10:52Speaker 1: I'm assuming that. Well, first of all, how close are
- 10:54Speaker 1: you guys done with this album? And and like like
- 10:58Speaker 1: you know, how many songs are we looking at? We're
- 11:00Speaker 1: pretty close. We're not one hundred percent finished, but we're
- 11:03Speaker 1: pretty close. And I say, give a tap, like maybe
- 11:06Speaker 1: like round twelve or something. That's a nice that's a
- 11:09Speaker 1: nice number. Yeah, And and then you know, obviously you
- 11:12Speaker 1: got lay on the project. Yeah, young club on the
- 11:14Speaker 1: last project. I mean, you know, is there gonna be
- 11:17Speaker 1: any dream Bill brethren on this album? We we we we.
- 11:22Speaker 1: It's in't the worst, Like it's just a lot of
- 11:24Speaker 1: records were still polishing. That's what I'm saying. We see,
- 11:26Speaker 1: we see who feels where we got to get the
- 11:28Speaker 1: meat of the project done. Was definitely done, you know
- 11:30Speaker 1: what I'm saying, Like the buck of the buck of
- 11:32Speaker 1: the ideas done. The concept is beautiful, really excited. What
- 11:38Speaker 1: we gotta we gotta figure out whe everybody else is
- 11:40Speaker 1: gonna go. Like casting wise, who was first to sign
- 11:43Speaker 1: with Dreamville was it and I don't call him Jid
- 11:46Speaker 1: because I called him Jid in person once and he
- 11:48Speaker 1: was like, I don't know you like that, you gotta
- 11:51Speaker 1: call it, But like, was it you guys? Are was
- 11:55Speaker 1: a j I d first the same time? Okay when
- 11:59Speaker 1: uh when when Cold Cold met us in person at
- 12:04Speaker 1: the eppisode tour is at the New York date and
- 12:08Speaker 1: uh we we actually were opening for for Soul and
- 12:12Speaker 1: Jim Jeed at the time was he was my roommate.
- 12:16Speaker 1: So I didn't want you know what I'm saying. We
- 12:17Speaker 1: first got the offer from APPS so to go on tour.
- 12:19Speaker 1: He was my roommate. That's like my boy and my brother.
- 12:21Speaker 1: We made Hello songs together. I didn't want to do
- 12:23Speaker 1: just earth Gang going into it without him and just
- 12:25Speaker 1: leave him there. So he was like, hey, bro, come
- 12:27Speaker 1: on tour with us. He so he we we split
- 12:29Speaker 1: our set with him just some somethingdy bro, some brother ship. Bro.
- 12:33Speaker 1: We're not gonna we finished you, you you know what I'm saying.
- 12:35Speaker 1: We all without even like clearing it with the APPS.
- 12:37Speaker 1: So like we got the homie coming, we put up
- 12:42Speaker 1: with him and he was like, no, bro, we're gonna
- 12:43Speaker 1: split this s like we're gonna get this shine. You're
- 12:45Speaker 1: gonna get the shine. He did, and uh when when
- 12:48Speaker 1: Cole met us, he was like, that was cool. Man,
- 12:50Speaker 1: who's the other dude? Yo? That's all better did So
- 12:52Speaker 1: he was like, man, all y'all coming, And so we
- 12:54Speaker 1: all would literally pile up in the car together because
- 12:56Speaker 1: I said it was roommates. So we get up in
- 12:58Speaker 1: the car together and drive out in North Carolina together
- 13:00Speaker 1: and we just all spend time with cold. He was like, man,
- 13:02Speaker 1: so what's your situations looking like? And he was like,
- 13:05Speaker 1: we ain't got no So he just sign us all
- 13:07Speaker 1: around the same time. It just so happened. We had
- 13:10Speaker 1: had never Storied already almost as soon as he got signed,
- 13:14Speaker 1: so he was ready. Yeah, he put that out and
- 13:15Speaker 1: then we put out the EPs and then our album. Yo.
- 13:19Speaker 1: It's crazy because like, I feel like Cole has been
- 13:23Speaker 1: so careful about who he brings on to the team,
- 13:26Speaker 1: and there's so much artistic integrity on that roster, and
- 13:30Speaker 1: you know, I feel like col could sign anybody like
- 13:33Speaker 1: he could probably this point, you know, he literally go
- 13:35Speaker 1: out and probably signed you know, any of the bubbling
- 13:38Speaker 1: up and coming rappers like, but I feel like he
- 13:41Speaker 1: cares so much about that the brand of Dreamville and
- 13:44Speaker 1: like just the integrity the music that comes out of that.
- 13:47Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, Like he won't make he
- 13:49Speaker 1: won't make foreign cars, man, he won't make exciting right
- 13:53Speaker 1: and like some exotics would like you know that that
- 13:56Speaker 1: we ain't cranking out right right right right talk about
- 14:00Speaker 1: you know obviously, you know, you guys got the Grammy
- 14:02Speaker 1: nomination for Revenge of the Dreamers three, which was, uh,
- 14:06Speaker 1: you know, I told Ebe this, like, you know, the
- 14:09Speaker 1: fact that he was able to craft such an amazing,
- 14:15Speaker 1: amazingly sequenced body of work because he was you know,
- 14:18Speaker 1: E was was was like letting me know about kind
- 14:21Speaker 1: of how many songs he had to choose from, and
- 14:25Speaker 1: then just the way they they flowed, and it was
- 14:28Speaker 1: like it felt like I know, and I know all
- 14:30Speaker 1: the sessions were scattered, but it really felt like everybody
- 14:33Speaker 1: was kicking it in the studio together and y'all made
- 14:36Speaker 1: like a cohesive body of work. Share with me some
- 14:40Speaker 1: of your favorite moments about those sessions, because you know,
- 14:43Speaker 1: we hear about how legendary they were. Everybody was getting
- 14:45Speaker 1: flown out, Like, you know, I just always think back
- 14:48Speaker 1: to how special of a moment that was to have
- 14:50Speaker 1: the baby on that record with Cole Like you know
- 14:52Speaker 1: what I mean. So yeah, yeah, talk about those sessions
- 14:55Speaker 1: for Revenge of the Dreamers three and like some some
- 14:57Speaker 1: memories you have from him. I mean, it really was
- 14:59Speaker 1: just the camaraderie, you know what I'm saying, Like the
- 15:02Speaker 1: creativity and the camaraderie all in one space from like
- 15:05Speaker 1: people all across the industry. People you just you know
- 15:08Speaker 1: what I'm saying. You ain't never met them, but you
- 15:10Speaker 1: see them shining and stuff, and it's like when y'all
- 15:12Speaker 1: get into the same place, it's just love, you know
- 15:14Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Like it ain't really like how many
- 15:16Speaker 1: followers you got, Oh you ain't got that many. You
- 15:18Speaker 1: can't be on this song type of energy, you know
- 15:20Speaker 1: what I'm saying. So like that that we ain't let
- 15:23Speaker 1: that block the creativity and the energy that was going
- 15:25Speaker 1: through the room and through the buildings. So to me,
- 15:28Speaker 1: that's like my favorite aspect that it was cool when
- 15:31Speaker 1: some legends pulled to like Ross pulled up. They can't
- 15:34Speaker 1: pulled up like some people that wasn't even on the project.
- 15:36Speaker 1: They were just legendary people that was in Atlanta at
- 15:38Speaker 1: the time, and they go through the like to be
- 15:40Speaker 1: a part of station. I feel like the greater part
- 15:43Speaker 1: of the of the Bucks. Rosster pulled up like the
- 15:45Speaker 1: Milwaukee Bucks. They was in town. Yeah, yeah, pulled up
- 15:49Speaker 1: for the you know who pulled up? Surprise the hell
- 15:51Speaker 1: out of me. Uh, what's brand name? Used to play
- 15:55Speaker 1: for Miami and he play He's from Canada? Uh, Miami
- 15:59Speaker 1: from Canada. I don't know. I can't think of his
- 16:01Speaker 1: name right now, but he used to play. He's super tall. Bro.
- 16:04Speaker 1: He's part of Lebron's championship down there center. Bro. What's
- 16:11Speaker 1: bro name? Bro? I'm trigger right now. That's because I'm high.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Canadian player used to be right next to me Brook
- 16:20Speaker 1: the Miami heat roster. Oh, he's talking about twenty fifteen
- 16:24Speaker 1: Miami heat rusher. He's talking about Chris Okay. Yeah, I
- 16:27Speaker 1: didn't want to say from Canada. Yeah, I was about
- 16:30Speaker 1: to say he played in Toronto. I said that that's
- 16:35Speaker 1: not That's not what what I mean. Chris Bosh was there. Yeah,
- 16:37Speaker 1: Chris Bosh, And I'm talking about Chris Bosh in the room.
- 16:40Speaker 1: He in the small room, the smallest of the studio
- 16:42Speaker 1: rooms to too too. He was in there, it's already
- 16:45Speaker 1: like it's crowded. When one nigga walk in there, it's
- 16:47Speaker 1: probably like it's probably like five six niggas in there.
- 16:50Speaker 1: And he's a he's like seven feet tall, seven feet tall.
- 16:52Speaker 1: He's sitting in the corner, folded up with his laptop
- 16:55Speaker 1: and his lap making beats. Chris Bosh was making beats
- 16:58Speaker 1: and making bees. Bro I'm going on there and I'm
- 17:00Speaker 1: like I've seen him at first, but he in the
- 17:02Speaker 1: corner so touched off like like behind some Like I'm like,
- 17:05Speaker 1: I didn't eve really see him. When the do you
- 17:06Speaker 1: don't even see hi because he touched off, And I'm like, yo,
- 17:08Speaker 1: I'm looking like this, like this nigga actually is a
- 17:10Speaker 1: huge person, and like what it was Chris Boshing like
- 17:13Speaker 1: like yo, this nigga Like yeah, you know, I'll be
- 17:15Speaker 1: cooking up whatever. He didn't make it. Anybody was just
- 17:17Speaker 1: coming just to feel that vibe, just the tivity in
- 17:19Speaker 1: the room. You know what's crazy is uh? But well,
- 17:24Speaker 1: first of all, how was how was Chris Bosh's beats?
- 17:27Speaker 1: I feel like it was pretty much. I feel like
- 17:28Speaker 1: I feel like I feel like I was pleasantly surprised,
- 17:30Speaker 1: Like I feel like I gave him one of these
- 17:31Speaker 1: like fire. Yeah, and then Gianni's being there. I didn't
- 17:36Speaker 1: even know, Like Janice was like hip He's from Greece,
- 17:37Speaker 1: so I don't know, you know, the whole team pulled,
- 17:40Speaker 1: you know what the locker room now playing pool with
- 17:42Speaker 1: George Hill and Ship GEORGIAI yeah, pool player, you did
- 17:48Speaker 1: you did you? I took that. I ain't playing, not
- 17:53Speaker 1: George Hill, you know what I'm saying. But now like
- 17:56Speaker 1: he played it, damn good. Yeah, And I feel like
- 17:58Speaker 1: I feel like because of being with Cold is so
- 18:01Speaker 1: many niggas in the league just respect Cold of course,
- 18:03Speaker 1: and plus and plus like he could low keep making
- 18:05Speaker 1: NBA roster. Yeah, I hear like he's like he's he's
- 18:10Speaker 1: always training with that. What what's the dude? The trader
- 18:14Speaker 1: in New York could be training all the NBA players,
- 18:16Speaker 1: but Cod he'd be running it. And then his first
- 18:20Speaker 1: couple of projects was like basketball. He had a basketball
- 18:25Speaker 1: warm up, So like that's definitely all part of the vibe. Yeah,
- 18:30Speaker 1: the Dennis Smith Junior pull up, I know's he's real
- 18:32Speaker 1: close with Cold. He's pulled up to the house of
- 18:35Speaker 1: a bunch of times. Aleast be watching black mirror with
- 18:38Speaker 1: him black man. That's how have you guys obviously besides
- 18:43Speaker 1: working your asses off, like you know, just being at
- 18:46Speaker 1: home and ship, how have you guys deal like that?
- 18:48Speaker 1: I mean, Atlanta's wide open, but you know how you
- 18:50Speaker 1: guys kind of dealt with just like just the way
- 18:52Speaker 1: the world has kind of changed in the last nine months.
- 18:55Speaker 1: I mean it's helped me focused a whole lot more. Yeah,
- 18:58Speaker 1: me too. Man, thought I was focus is back then,
- 19:00Speaker 1: but like it's like real focus here. You know what
- 19:03Speaker 1: I'm saying. I appreciate it. Man. Of course you want
- 19:05Speaker 1: to go out and have fun and like do shit,
- 19:07Speaker 1: but like you got to take your health, you have
- 19:09Speaker 1: to take your family health. But like in the meantime,
- 19:12Speaker 1: get you some more money. Yeah, I think that for me,
- 19:15Speaker 1: Like like you said, I feel like my focus became
- 19:18Speaker 1: like like like lasered in. You know. It's like people
- 19:22Speaker 1: kind of took this thing two different ways. I feel
- 19:24Speaker 1: like a lot of people kind of use that as
- 19:25Speaker 1: an excuse to to be hella lazy or I have
- 19:29Speaker 1: gotten fat during the pandemic that being said happens. I
- 19:33Speaker 1: feel like it just kind of focused my hustle and
- 19:37Speaker 1: and it just kind of makes you rethink everything, you
- 19:40Speaker 1: know what I mean, like every like like you know important, Yeah,
- 19:43Speaker 1: what's really important? Man? And then you know it obviously
- 19:45Speaker 1: kind of just reinstills your bond with your family, you
- 19:48Speaker 1: know you especially I'm out in La so I'm around
- 19:50Speaker 1: my kids a lot more. And yeah, you guys got kids.
- 19:53Speaker 1: I got a son. How would your son? Three? Oh? Yeah,
- 19:57Speaker 1: that's you know they call terrible two's, but it's really
- 19:59Speaker 1: terrible threes. Man, three olds are fucking turned up. Bruce
- 20:03Speaker 1: Lee today that I was like bothing pressly and a
- 20:05Speaker 1: little like what what's happening? Like trying to kick through
- 20:10Speaker 1: a glass door? Like, bro, you don't even realize what
- 20:12Speaker 1: that would do if you actually had the strength. Crazy
- 20:16Speaker 1: you guys, You guys are both vegan, correct now? Vegan, pescantary, pescataria.
- 20:21Speaker 1: I watched the interview you guys with my homegol Ashley.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Where you guys are? She said, you guys are vegan?
- 20:25Speaker 1: I don't think that's true. We probably ate some vegan food.
- 20:28Speaker 1: You guys are pesctary? Are you you're pescatarian or you
- 20:30Speaker 1: pesctaring that? I mean I respect that, hey, man, Like
- 20:34Speaker 1: when I'm out of the country. I eat some meat,
- 20:37Speaker 1: you know, I know his raised right here right out here.
- 20:40Speaker 1: It's up. It's pick slime and this whatever whatever is crazy. Whatever. Yo,
- 20:46Speaker 1: if you watch the video of like like any videos
- 20:49Speaker 1: of like how they make hamburger meat, it'll make you like,
- 20:52Speaker 1: I never want to eat in America. But like five
- 20:56Speaker 1: years easily easily. Have you'all ever seen a video how
- 20:59Speaker 1: to make chicken nuggets? Nah, look at that, it's all
- 21:03Speaker 1: in it don't it's don't fuck you up. They just
- 21:05Speaker 1: put everything in and just grind it, ground it up.
- 21:08Speaker 1: They basically take so they get a bunch of baby chicks,
- 21:11Speaker 1: flip them like this. If you're female, you go somewhere
- 21:14Speaker 1: to go start making eggs. They raise you up, fan
- 21:16Speaker 1: you up. If you mail, they put them in like
- 21:18Speaker 1: this huge bend and turn the blender on alive chicks,
- 21:22Speaker 1: baby chicks. Bro, And that's chicken nuggets. Then whatever sh
- 21:28Speaker 1: And I don't know if that's everybody's chicken nuggas, but
- 21:29Speaker 1: that's at least some of it comes out to be
- 21:31Speaker 1: some nugget streak. Damn. Yeah, I couldn't give up that,
- 21:35Speaker 1: I think if I had, if I could ever get
- 21:38Speaker 1: to that point, I could. I could never give up
- 21:39Speaker 1: fish though, fish, sushi, lobsters, crab, I mean, you know
- 21:45Speaker 1: those are the So do you guys have an album
- 21:49Speaker 1: title for the album? At? Can you share it? Is
- 21:52Speaker 1: it already out there? Okay, it's coming though, it's coming
- 21:56Speaker 1: any idea like when the album's gonna come out for
- 22:00Speaker 1: the summer? All right? So okay, so sometime in the
- 22:03Speaker 1: next summer time, all right, get high with more something
- 22:08Speaker 1: like that. So you guys are such close friends with Jed?
- 22:11Speaker 1: Can you kind is there? What's what's going on with him? Like?
- 22:13Speaker 1: Are this week? Oh ship, there we go? He makes
- 22:18Speaker 1: me right now? Okay, yeah, we need that. You know,
- 22:22Speaker 1: the whole crew is active, super active. I appreciate that,
- 22:27Speaker 1: and I'm curious to being from Atlanta playing. Yeah, I
- 22:32Speaker 1: was about to say was I was? I was about
- 22:38Speaker 1: to say, like, I feel like I would have heard
- 22:39Speaker 1: about that. I was just like and I was like, well,
- 22:42Speaker 1: is this like, was he supposed to say that? What
- 22:47Speaker 1: I heard the album is super Fight? I was over
- 22:49Speaker 1: in the house like before we left. He's an alien bro,
- 22:52Speaker 1: like a real life like he's like one of them
- 22:54Speaker 1: ones that's like you know, a Jedi with with with
- 22:57Speaker 1: with rapping bro app in his fucking asshole man like
- 23:02Speaker 1: I wanted to so for the first This is my
- 23:04Speaker 1: first time at Atlanta, and I had to go to
- 23:07Speaker 1: Magic City to try the hot wings and I was
- 23:09Speaker 1: I was extremely disappointed. Really the wings were not you
- 23:14Speaker 1: supposed to get the limon pepper. Of course that's what
- 23:16Speaker 1: I got, though I got living pepper. Waspping he said
- 23:20Speaker 1: blue flame is way better. One thing, the flame better
- 23:23Speaker 1: number one, number two. When I hear people getting mad
- 23:27Speaker 1: at City food, I don't really hear him. Get the
- 23:28Speaker 1: wings so much. I didn't get like everything else on
- 23:30Speaker 1: the menu before. I got fried lobster tail. That was fire.
- 23:33Speaker 1: That was that was smacking. But the wings were just
- 23:35Speaker 1: if you want wings in Atlanta, you gotta hit the
- 23:37Speaker 1: little corner spots. Bro, you gotta hit you like a
- 23:39Speaker 1: little hoods. But you ever been to DC, you know
- 23:41Speaker 1: they have you have like the little carry out. You
- 23:43Speaker 1: had the best chicken, the best mumbo sauce. It's the
- 23:45Speaker 1: same things here. Ex said, we got like realize hot wings. Yeah.
- 23:49Speaker 1: I was gonna say, you guys don't strike me as
- 23:50Speaker 1: like the biggest strip club connoisseurs. But that's what you
- 23:53Speaker 1: tripped to I'm tripping because I'm so Atlanta. Bro. Okay,
- 23:57Speaker 1: so what's what's what is like the top three? What
- 24:00Speaker 1: you right now right now? For for booty? Let's start
- 24:04Speaker 1: with Booty and then we'll go food. Lord a little
- 24:07Speaker 1: my favorite pretty Face, Magic City and Blue Flying. Okay,
- 24:12Speaker 1: a Lord, I've heard the Lord. Someone told me strokers
- 24:15Speaker 1: strokers out out East. Yeah, Jared Benton is a sick
- 24:18Speaker 1: fucking took me to the Claremont Lounge. It's not that's
- 24:21Speaker 1: not what it is, and it was it's been gentrified
- 24:24Speaker 1: like that hotel both about you know, he did it
- 24:31Speaker 1: on purpose. He was like, Yo, I'm gonna take you
- 24:33Speaker 1: to the spot. Is fucking crazy, bro, He's like, dude,
- 24:35Speaker 1: the sold He's like, he's like, just come with me
- 24:38Speaker 1: for twenty minutes. And because senior citizen dancers. That's crazy.
- 24:43Speaker 1: That's that's why. You know, Lord lawyd got like the
- 24:46Speaker 1: best looking girls you want to see? Like, okay, what
- 24:49Speaker 1: about food, strictly food real cheatah someone someone told me
- 24:54Speaker 1: the cheatah like like chea like this food, but it's
- 24:58Speaker 1: kind of like I heard that the the strip club
- 25:00Speaker 1: side of its whack like but it's not. It's a
- 25:02Speaker 1: Gentleman's Club dancing the nickelback. Yeah, you like, of course
- 25:07Speaker 1: and the girls are like just slowly like they got
- 25:11Speaker 1: good lamb a lot of rock music. I love rock music.
- 25:14Speaker 1: I don't like. I don't want to see women don't. No,
- 25:17Speaker 1: that's not what I can you take me. It is
- 25:21Speaker 1: one random strict club and like Ipsilanti, Michigan, and it
- 25:24Speaker 1: was kind of like that. We'll be going to Audill
- 25:26Speaker 1: be On. I probably can make a little encyclopedia stript club. Nice,
- 25:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna put you on. There's one in Phoenix called
- 25:32Speaker 1: Jaguars thatires. Yeah, it's they got heard that pass I
- 25:37Speaker 1: passed by when I was in Fensi the last it's huge, huge, yeah, huge.
- 25:42Speaker 1: I've been I mean now that in Atlanta. You know.
- 25:44Speaker 1: I've been to Miami. I've been over It's it's clothing
- 25:47Speaker 1: because I ain't I ain't gonna hold you this. I've
- 25:49Speaker 1: been to some in Houston, uh and Dallas, buttle buy,
- 25:53Speaker 1: North Carolina. I haven't done North Carolina, North Carolina, North Carolina.
- 25:57Speaker 1: You gotta do d C. And you gotta do Miami. No,
- 25:59Speaker 1: Miami Toutsies is my favorite is like born Oh, I
- 26:06Speaker 1: say wait when the water broke. That's not when the
- 26:09Speaker 1: water broke, that's what out of that to the strip
- 26:12Speaker 1: club here throw this. I was booking a flight to
- 26:16Speaker 1: get back to Atlanta. Strict Club came in busted in
- 26:20Speaker 1: the hospital. Covid Glitter also has great food. They got
- 26:25Speaker 1: great lobster with the seafood rice man. Yeah, definitely, yeah, yeah,
- 26:31Speaker 1: I heard that the lamb chops at the Cheetah are
- 26:33Speaker 1: are where it's at. I gotta che has got like
- 26:36Speaker 1: like a really good cooking staff apparently, ship like really
- 26:40Speaker 1: good like being like the women is just I'm benest that,
- 26:44Speaker 1: like right right, right right. I'm curious how hot like
- 26:49Speaker 1: you the obvious Like I think when people see you guys,
- 26:53Speaker 1: the immediate comparison you guys have gotten is outcast this
- 26:57Speaker 1: whole like, since you guys have come out right, I
- 27:00Speaker 1: think sonically there's some fair points to that, But I
- 27:03Speaker 1: also feel, like, you know, I feel like you guys
- 27:07Speaker 1: are influenced by so much more than cast. I think
- 27:09Speaker 1: it was dope because I remember go ahead, of course.
- 27:14Speaker 1: I mean, of course, man, I went to stink on
- 27:16Speaker 1: you the outcast of my favorite group ever, Andre, my
- 27:19Speaker 1: top three ever, Like when I went to Stink on You,
- 27:21Speaker 1: and I was I was like, I was my twelve
- 27:25Speaker 1: year old self would have seen me at the Outcast
- 27:27Speaker 1: studio with all the plaques and then the artwork of
- 27:30Speaker 1: like the naked girls from the CDs and ship like
- 27:33Speaker 1: it was amazing. But like I'm I know, I told that, man,
- 27:36Speaker 1: you can't even have artwork in the CD. Do you
- 27:40Speaker 1: remember how fire their CDs? CD work you see, the
- 27:44Speaker 1: art work used to be crazy. But I don't think
- 27:46Speaker 1: anyone's ever had better CDs than Outcasts. They always had
- 27:50Speaker 1: the naked girls on everywhere at a the at Aliens
- 27:54Speaker 1: one was the best. The Stink on Your one with
- 27:59Speaker 1: Crazy now at she was fine, that whole image, but
- 28:08Speaker 1: the one was cast album musically, see a lot of
- 28:16Speaker 1: people don't like this, but I say my favorite album
- 28:18Speaker 1: by them is Think on You, just because I like
- 28:21Speaker 1: some I like the hits, but I also like some
- 28:23Speaker 1: of the experiments and stuff Gaoline dreams, I love politicians.
- 28:27Speaker 1: You don't talk about that song the Stink Love beautiful
- 28:31Speaker 1: like them? Yeah, but also I mean, I don't know
- 28:34Speaker 1: if that would be considered the best. I think that
- 28:37Speaker 1: that you guys, just like everyone has. Womini was like
- 28:40Speaker 1: it's also like Women There at Aliens was the first
- 28:44Speaker 1: one I ever heard. That was the first one that
- 28:46Speaker 1: I ever really bought, and then I went back and
- 28:48Speaker 1: bought the other ones. You know what I'm saying. It
- 28:50Speaker 1: was still honestly on ATL My dad bought AT and
- 28:52Speaker 1: I remember when he let me hold it. I was
- 28:54Speaker 1: probably it had to be. I mean when when came out,
- 28:57Speaker 1: he was in field great so whatever year it was,
- 28:59Speaker 1: I was like a super little I'm thirty three, howld
- 29:01Speaker 1: are you guys okay? So we're kind of you know.
- 29:03Speaker 1: I remember like as a kid, like when I when
- 29:05Speaker 1: my I had have been like a big homie my
- 29:07Speaker 1: apartment complex who had at Aliens? And like when I
- 29:10Speaker 1: saw the CD, I was like, oh shit, is a
- 29:12Speaker 1: naked girl? I remember still in my dad's and like
- 29:15Speaker 1: just having it in my room or some like playing
- 29:16Speaker 1: the music. Did you're doing something real wrong? The C
- 29:20Speaker 1: Like I don't know what to do, but I just
- 29:21Speaker 1: really loved it was still and then my mom came
- 29:23Speaker 1: find it. She was like, what is this? I like
- 29:24Speaker 1: his dad CD? Which it was, man, yo, I heard
- 29:30Speaker 1: I heard you guys. You know, you guys have a
- 29:33Speaker 1: lot of respect for Snoop Dogg too. You know. I
- 29:36Speaker 1: just had a conversation with a beat out from rap
- 29:40Speaker 1: Radar and we were kind of we're doing like a
- 29:43Speaker 1: year end rap up for twenty twenty, and I was
- 29:47Speaker 1: we were talking about who's the who's been the biggest
- 29:50Speaker 1: rappers ever at their peak? And I said, it's just
- 29:54Speaker 1: at their peak. I'm not saying like over the span
- 29:56Speaker 1: of their career, but just like you know, their peak.
- 29:59Speaker 1: I think it's Snoop and Fitfty. Fifty is gonna be.
- 30:02Speaker 1: I just think it's fifty and Snoop. I don't know
- 30:04Speaker 1: if I don't know if I mean, I mean what
- 30:06Speaker 1: kind of no but I mean like out Cast had
- 30:08Speaker 1: a run and obviously you know if you think, but
- 30:11Speaker 1: if you think a peak Outcast, it was Love Below
- 30:13Speaker 1: and speaker Box, it was amazing. I don't know, but
- 30:16Speaker 1: I don't disagree with you. Of course, the one best
- 30:18Speaker 1: album of the year, the grammar is Diamond. But they
- 30:22Speaker 1: were kind of like it was two separate albums, like
- 30:24Speaker 1: their peak was kind of like Andre solo album and
- 30:28Speaker 1: then speaker Box that had some ship. But it was
- 30:30Speaker 1: like to me, like I'm talking about like first like Yo,
- 30:36Speaker 1: Snoop Dogg was on Vibe. He had the murder case
- 30:38Speaker 1: like he just came off the chronic Doggi style, like
- 30:44Speaker 1: right there. Because fifty but okay album with the speak
- 30:48Speaker 1: love below, even if you counted as one thing, it
- 30:50Speaker 1: still was more about the music and about the art
- 30:52Speaker 1: than anything else, which is a great way to peak, right,
- 30:55Speaker 1: But it's about them, their characters story, like fifty just
- 30:59Speaker 1: got shot down times. I remember telling me that in school,
- 31:02Speaker 1: I was a little ky, like what happened to this nigga?
- 31:04Speaker 1: Right times? The Lord the movie and he had a
- 31:09Speaker 1: fucking video game that was Fire on Xbox. That's what
- 31:12Speaker 1: I'm saying. But bunh, Yeah, it's to me it's ether
- 31:16Speaker 1: fifty or Snoop. But but yeah, I think it's I
- 31:17Speaker 1: think it's probably like if you were if I've had it,
- 31:19Speaker 1: if you put a gun in my head, I would
- 31:20Speaker 1: probably say fifty. I mean, you say to see m possibly,
- 31:25Speaker 1: but you know they are impossible to see. It's m possible.
- 31:30Speaker 1: Shout out to him though impossible. Now, we talked about
- 31:36Speaker 1: your guys favorite cast albums, but just in general hip hop.
- 31:40Speaker 1: If you guys had to go to an island with
- 31:41Speaker 1: five rap albums, I like this. I like people get
- 31:45Speaker 1: specific with the you know five some you know some
- 31:48Speaker 1: people will be like, you know Pink Floyd or you
- 31:50Speaker 1: know five rap albums. You're on an island for a
- 31:53Speaker 1: year and you can only listen to five rap albums.
- 31:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you reasonable that break just because I
- 32:00Speaker 1: best go with the blueprint. Okay, I need, I need that.
- 32:04Speaker 1: I like, I like, I like, I like young Hold,
- 32:07Speaker 1: I like, I like like this, and then I don't
- 32:08Speaker 1: always speak about love below. That's one one. I like that,
- 32:13Speaker 1: that's a that's I like that. Then I'm gonna go
- 32:17Speaker 1: with mis education alone. Here Education be my second one. Okay,
- 32:23Speaker 1: WEP album, then I'm gonna go with I'm gonna go
- 32:29Speaker 1: with I'm gonna go with I'm trying to figure out
- 32:31Speaker 1: which Hot Boys album one of them Hot Boys Warfare.
- 32:33Speaker 1: I think it's Girl, I think Begervilla. I don't know.
- 32:36Speaker 1: I think it might be your Villa. I think it
- 32:37Speaker 1: might be the one before that, the one before that.
- 32:40Speaker 1: There Man Registration, just because it's super long, the longest one,
- 32:46Speaker 1: you know. Late Registration is my favorite Kanye album. I
- 32:49Speaker 1: don't think it's the best Kanye album, it's my favorite.
- 32:51Speaker 1: I'll give it. I take late registration. Mum, you're gonna
- 32:55Speaker 1: take a grill warfare? Yeah you you got you got
- 32:58Speaker 1: two more, ye, I got to more. I got a
- 33:01Speaker 1: whole Lauren Kanye Me, I think you and I have
- 33:04Speaker 1: the same favorite jay Z album and the same favorite
- 33:06Speaker 1: Kanye album. Well, I f look like and forth of
- 33:09Speaker 1: that Kanye one, but I is one of my favorites
- 33:11Speaker 1: every now and then I do be on there. Of course,
- 33:14Speaker 1: that's the other one, the top one. And honestly shout
- 33:16Speaker 1: out to Jesus. I think Jesus is aged. I think
- 33:19Speaker 1: it's age well, I think it's aged so well man.
- 33:22Speaker 1: You know the only person I heard say that I
- 33:24Speaker 1: gotta listen to it now. When it first came out,
- 33:26Speaker 1: I was like, I'm in myself. Remember you know that
- 33:27Speaker 1: whole meme when you look like you're trying to that
- 33:30Speaker 1: would me like, like everybody liked this, I'm gonna just
- 33:32Speaker 1: try to keep bumping me. Not everybody liked it. It
- 33:34Speaker 1: is sticking to me. Like other words, it's his most
- 33:36Speaker 1: polar polarizing album for sure. That is sprite too. Yeah, yeah,
- 33:42Speaker 1: shout out the future. That's number This is too so good, bro,
- 33:48Speaker 1: it is It's funny because when we when we got
- 33:50Speaker 1: in Atlanta, I was just being like a typical you know, tourist.
- 33:54Speaker 1: I'm like, Okay, I gotta play thirty Sprite too, and
- 33:57Speaker 1: in Atlanta, you gotta play that. I play that and
- 34:00Speaker 1: thug Motivation, and I was like, this is this feels right?
- 34:03Speaker 1: I mean Atlanta for the first time we rented the
- 34:06Speaker 1: long season two be my last one. Okay, Yeah, who
- 34:10Speaker 1: do you think? If you guys have to say who's
- 34:12Speaker 1: more influential, thug or future Future Future, I'll say future
- 34:18Speaker 1: just because a lot of niggs around the world try
- 34:19Speaker 1: to be future. Niggas can't beat them so far, but
- 34:22Speaker 1: niggas gonna try to be future. Niggas can't be future either,
- 34:25Speaker 1: but they gonna try. Niggas will never try to wear
- 34:28Speaker 1: dressed like that. People aren't brave enough to try to
- 34:31Speaker 1: beat them. Yeah, Like the only people that have even
- 34:35Speaker 1: come close come from his dojo. You know what I'm saying.
- 34:37Speaker 1: You got like he got it, Yeah, like gunning all
- 34:40Speaker 1: them niggas even a little bit. They come from the world.
- 34:42Speaker 1: So it's like they come close and they still do
- 34:44Speaker 1: their own thing, you know what I'm saying. But it's
- 34:46Speaker 1: like nobody from outside of Atlanta has tried that. People
- 34:49Speaker 1: from outside of Atlanta have tried to be Future. You
- 34:51Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, designer the whole thing I ain't saying,
- 34:53Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, nothing wrong with what he did,
- 34:54Speaker 1: but no, no no, but he sounded. I mean, let's be honest,
- 34:56Speaker 1: a whole bunch of Future influenced, Like you can't do
- 34:58Speaker 1: not influence my dog, Like say what you about you
- 35:00Speaker 1: writing a song, but like you can't not influence. Yeah,
- 35:02Speaker 1: and then not even in his own fault because if
- 35:04Speaker 1: you talk to him like that's just his voice, that's yeah,
- 35:08Speaker 1: but you can influence of like the style of everyone
- 35:11Speaker 1: talked and it was Futures Record. When it first came out,
- 35:14Speaker 1: it was like this new Future is crazy, but it's
- 35:17Speaker 1: not Future from New York, New York. Yeah, I think
- 35:22Speaker 1: I think Future kind of kind of you know, with
- 35:25Speaker 1: just making like melodies first. You know, obviously you can
- 35:31Speaker 1: go back to you know, obviously Drake, you know, was
- 35:34Speaker 1: so far gone. But I feel I feel like what
- 35:36Speaker 1: Future did with melodies and hip hop, it's just his
- 35:40Speaker 1: His fingerprints are all over everything right now, like everybody
- 35:44Speaker 1: like Roddy Rich, like post Malone like all these people
- 35:47Speaker 1: who are like the biggest rappers in the world, Like
- 35:49Speaker 1: you gottattribute the future, bro, and he just had more
- 35:52Speaker 1: time in the game too. We want to go the
- 35:53Speaker 1: future up. You just got to give it to him
- 35:55Speaker 1: from seniority. This guy's got a Dungeon Family tattoo on
- 35:58Speaker 1: his forearms. Man, you got a little more time again.
- 36:02Speaker 1: I remember listening to future records on like on like
- 36:04Speaker 1: mistakes and like lind Wade type ship in like eighth
- 36:07Speaker 1: and ninth grade, like he was called he was going
- 36:09Speaker 1: to buy meat back then, you know what I'm saying.
- 36:11Speaker 1: It was a song he be on like he's being
- 36:13Speaker 1: like them like passically he'd be like a whole bunch
- 36:15Speaker 1: of need from the hood on the song. And then
- 36:16Speaker 1: he had like a verse you know what I'm saying,
- 36:17Speaker 1: that ship too, and then like he like rolls out
- 36:19Speaker 1: of there. So we we've been around to see that
- 36:20Speaker 1: nigga be like a lot of things, you know what
- 36:22Speaker 1: I'm saying. What do you feel like the camaraderie is
- 36:24Speaker 1: like in Atlanta, because you know, from an outsider perspective,
- 36:29Speaker 1: from being like you know from the West Coast, you know,
- 36:31Speaker 1: we always look at Atlanta as like the example of
- 36:35Speaker 1: uh like networking, there's so much unity and and now
- 36:39Speaker 1: mind you, I also realized that there's a lot of
- 36:41Speaker 1: beef and shipped out here. But for the most part,
- 36:45Speaker 1: unity will come when more people connect. Yeah, but I
- 36:47Speaker 1: feel like just in general, the perspective of Atlanta is
- 36:50Speaker 1: like there is some real unity out there in Atlanta, man,
- 36:54Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, Like, as long as Atlanta win,
- 36:56Speaker 1: Like you seen Gucci and Jesus Bro, Like who I
- 37:00Speaker 1: was gonna do that? Name another beef on the coach,
- 37:03Speaker 1: niggasin to come together and do that. Who else don't
- 37:05Speaker 1: do that? You know what I'm saying. On I g
- 37:08Speaker 1: live fifty would never do that. I don't really know
- 37:11Speaker 1: enough about the beef, but I know that down here, man,
- 37:15Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. But they really at the
- 37:16Speaker 1: end of the day, they came together as man and
- 37:18Speaker 1: was like, you know what, for the sake of Atlanta,
- 37:20Speaker 1: for the sake of unity, for the sake of seeing
- 37:22Speaker 1: everybody prosperably, gonna squash it Like that's Atlanta, man, keep both.
- 37:26Speaker 1: We was talking about future, the influence Gucci really was
- 37:28Speaker 1: father above that situation. Well, I think Gucci don't get enough.
- 37:32Speaker 1: I think he's probably the greatest godfather. He might be, yes, yes, ever,
- 37:37Speaker 1: I think Gucci is probably the greatest an hip hop
- 37:39Speaker 1: history on this planet for sure. Think about all the
- 37:42Speaker 1: people he could have signed, Like he could have had
- 37:45Speaker 1: the Migos, you know what I mean, Like all these
- 37:48Speaker 1: people who could have been his artist, and they still
- 37:51Speaker 1: come from his dojo, you know what I'm saying. Surest
- 37:54Speaker 1: Martial arts so like that ship, that Gucci one and
- 37:57Speaker 1: like that, he's just like a perfect example of what
- 37:59Speaker 1: Atlanta is. Like you gotta always be looking at for
- 38:01Speaker 1: your young nigga and and pulling them in a direction
- 38:04Speaker 1: to get some money for theirself, you know what I'm saying,
- 38:06Speaker 1: Like not just not just trying to satisfy you know
- 38:08Speaker 1: what I'm saying, It's like, look, do what I did,
- 38:10Speaker 1: do what you could do, and always looking for somebody
- 38:12Speaker 1: else like that? Is there a big Do you feel
- 38:14Speaker 1: like there's a disconnect from like the younger generation of
- 38:17Speaker 1: Atlanta hip hop and like you know, there's that clip
- 38:19Speaker 1: of of young Thug talking about Andre. Do you think
- 38:24Speaker 1: there's like a like a disconnect between the older generation
- 38:29Speaker 1: and then and then the generation that's coming up now. Now.
- 38:31Speaker 1: I just feel like we're just so focused on paving
- 38:34Speaker 1: our own way, you know what I'm saying, even like
- 38:36Speaker 1: they was back then. Of course, everybody back then was like, man, hey,
- 38:40Speaker 1: this this is the first time Atlanta is being all
- 38:43Speaker 1: all that. We're paving our way from from from Dungeon
- 38:46Speaker 1: Family to TLC to Jermaine dupri You know what, I'm
- 38:49Speaker 1: so so deaf like it was it was it was
- 38:51Speaker 1: aris Arista and the Face like that was like the
- 38:54Speaker 1: first major record label. So they paving their way. Come
- 38:57Speaker 1: to odd generation. You know what I'm saying. You got QC,
- 39:00Speaker 1: you got Slack, you got the Slim Boys, you got
- 39:02Speaker 1: Gucci and everything that he doing. You know what I'm saying,
- 39:04Speaker 1: Like we're paving our weight, you know what I'm saying.
- 39:07Speaker 1: So it's like I don't think it's so much a disrespect,
- 39:10Speaker 1: but it's just like we just focused and we appreciate
- 39:13Speaker 1: what they did. But number one, we focused and we trailblazing.
- 39:16Speaker 1: You know that's facts. That's facts. Any you guys care
- 39:20Speaker 1: to spill any any j CO album t You know
- 39:22Speaker 1: what I mean. We're supposed to get the fall off?
- 39:24Speaker 1: You got it? Do we know when it's driving. I
- 39:26Speaker 1: mean the fall. He was week, okay, next week, so
- 39:29Speaker 1: we got lined up. It's on, it's already uploaded, ready
- 39:36Speaker 1: to go. Just gonna just come out of nowhere just
- 39:39Speaker 1: to heat. That's that's it's a link away. Have you
- 39:43Speaker 1: got you know somebody who I think, uh, you know,
- 39:46Speaker 1: one of my favorite artists and one of my good
- 39:47Speaker 1: friends in Atlanta is Killer Mike. If you guys got
- 39:49Speaker 1: a chance to link with him and uh and work
- 39:51Speaker 1: with him at all, not not working on music, we
- 39:53Speaker 1: definitely him a couple of times. It would be nice
- 39:56Speaker 1: to music Killing That's the first I ever purchased my
- 39:59Speaker 1: own money monster monsteron Wow, that's not even on Spotify.
- 40:03Speaker 1: That's crazy. I never even though I haven't even tried
- 40:05Speaker 1: to listen to it since I have tried, I remember
- 40:07Speaker 1: about that. It was. It was nine dollars at the
- 40:10Speaker 1: at the Greenboro Record stuff. Wow, c sho. I feel
- 40:13Speaker 1: like what he with him and like what Run the
- 40:15Speaker 1: Jewels are doing. It's just very original. And I feel
- 40:17Speaker 1: like what you guys, you guys are also original in
- 40:18Speaker 1: your own way, and I feel like it be it'd
- 40:20Speaker 1: be a crazy, it'd be crazy, you guys would be
- 40:24Speaker 1: crazy Jews. I ain't studied them like I should. I
- 40:27Speaker 1: still be like focused on the Mike pr No, Mike's
- 40:29Speaker 1: ship that he's he's working on some ship right now.
- 40:31Speaker 1: He played me like twenty five songs the other night,
- 40:33Speaker 1: and Jesus fucking Christ, what about Sidie the Prince? We
- 40:37Speaker 1: mess how like maybe like once years ago, Bro, I
- 40:41Speaker 1: ain't never did know. He's also from different time. That's too,
- 40:43Speaker 1: so it ain't been like no pressure, got you, got you,
- 40:46Speaker 1: got you. But also I ain't never did know that
- 40:49Speaker 1: would be interesting. Man, I'm just thinking, like, who's you
- 40:53Speaker 1: guys can wrap your asses off? He could wrap his
- 40:54Speaker 1: ass off, like you know, that might be too much
- 40:57Speaker 1: ass off, might be too much bars. He might need
- 41:00Speaker 1: more right right right right? Yeah, that's crazy. So we're
- 41:04Speaker 1: gonna get out and hopefully by the summertime the single
- 41:08Speaker 1: is out with a YO, And I think, you know,
- 41:12Speaker 1: can we talk about just a real quick because I
- 41:14Speaker 1: feel like we don't give his flowers and that man
- 41:17Speaker 1: his flowers. That man put man got a door because
- 41:21Speaker 1: that man been going strong with ten plus for a
- 41:23Speaker 1: yeah for I mean, and he was like leader of
- 41:26Speaker 1: the blog era. I remember that running Bro me too.
- 41:31Speaker 1: Gotta respect the man, Lenny has gotta respect what he's done.
- 41:35Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. Yeah, I feel like we
- 41:37Speaker 1: just got to give some respect to because I feel
- 41:38Speaker 1: like when we talk about like the grades of you know,
- 41:40Speaker 1: I feel like, you know, he don't get mentioned enough.
- 41:43Speaker 1: Has had a consistent crazy career. Career is unmatched. You
- 41:47Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. Like he has a hell of
- 41:48Speaker 1: a career. Brool Jerry Sofield. Guys, you guys with I
- 41:54Speaker 1: do like I like we like curves. I was gonna
- 41:56Speaker 1: say I'm a curve guy. Larry Dave Yo to everybody.
- 42:00Speaker 1: The only person I'll probably fucking like if I ever
- 42:03Speaker 1: met i'd like really stand out like a bitch, would
- 42:05Speaker 1: be Larry d If I met Larry David, I'd be
- 42:08Speaker 1: beside myself and you know he would be so annoyed. Yo, listen,
- 42:12Speaker 1: but I know you don't want to take this picture.
- 42:14Speaker 1: I know you hate everything about this moment. I know
- 42:15Speaker 1: you hate it and I love it, and I know
- 42:18Speaker 1: you know, let me just get this selfie. Bro so
- 42:20Speaker 1: I would be kicking with him too much. If you
- 42:23Speaker 1: live around from me in La, I would literally be
- 42:25Speaker 1: the day Yo. Let me ask you guys this because
- 42:27Speaker 1: with some of your guys is are working visuals and
- 42:28Speaker 1: ship very very trippy ship. Do you guys partake in
- 42:32Speaker 1: any any cycle psychedelics at all? We definitely have in life. Yeah,
- 42:36Speaker 1: think about this, man, you know what I'm saying. You
- 42:38Speaker 1: ever seen my manager brought up today this video we
- 42:40Speaker 1: did a long time ago called sixteen Binos in the Sweat.
- 42:43Speaker 1: He was doing like psychedelics in the desert in that video,
- 42:46Speaker 1: so so years ago. Mushrooms. You guys ever suck with DMT?
- 42:51Speaker 1: Never did d MT. I never did DMT because it
- 42:54Speaker 1: looked like cracking number one and then you got a
- 42:57Speaker 1: free base it. Yeah, you know what I'm saying, look
- 42:59Speaker 1: like crack. And then they be saying it's like the
- 43:01Speaker 1: feeling you get when you're born and you die, and
- 43:03Speaker 1: I feel like that's special. So I'm just letting you know.
- 43:06Speaker 1: You know, it's crazy. Mike Tyson does it like once
- 43:08Speaker 1: a month. I know a lot of people that do
- 43:10Speaker 1: it too much, but they all burned out, like also
- 43:12Speaker 1: cannot if you can give it, come to it. So
- 43:15Speaker 1: that's cool. Yeah, I've been That's that's the one thing
- 43:17Speaker 1: that I haven't tried it, Like I just want to
- 43:19Speaker 1: try Nah, only mushrooms, and he's pretty fun. It's very
- 43:24Speaker 1: clean feeling too. You just be like And then the
- 43:26Speaker 1: other thing people do is like I got a homie
- 43:28Speaker 1: that will go out to like he goes to Costa
- 43:30Speaker 1: Rica and he does iwashed it like Sharman, Like that's
- 43:33Speaker 1: like some powerful that's like yeah he says that version. Yeah,
- 43:36Speaker 1: he's like I did thirty years of therapy and the
- 43:39Speaker 1: whole in two days. I believe that. Damn. He was, like,
- 43:42Speaker 1: I might get a little He did that ship and
- 43:45Speaker 1: this guy his wife, my man was he smoked cigarettes
- 43:50Speaker 1: his whole life. He had a cocaine problem. He was
- 43:53Speaker 1: a horrible gambler. Just got just my guy had a
- 43:55Speaker 1: lot of vices. He did that ship. Hasn't touched a drug,
- 43:58Speaker 1: a cigarette, nothing since I did it all. It's crazy.
- 44:02Speaker 1: That's awesome. Yeah, I think. I think, like I think
- 44:04Speaker 1: the one thing that psychedelics do is just kind of
- 44:06Speaker 1: expand your mind to what's already there. Like what if
- 44:08Speaker 1: you if you're on that side of not touching drugs
- 44:11Speaker 1: and you do it, you probably go to the other
- 44:12Speaker 1: side of like cocaine and cigarettes and stuff. I want
- 44:17Speaker 1: nothing to do with that Nope, this weed for me, man,
- 44:22Speaker 1: join every now and then. Yeah, I think I think
- 44:25Speaker 1: that it's just to kind of expand your mind to
- 44:27Speaker 1: what's already there that we just just you know what
- 44:29Speaker 1: I mean. I do feel like there's there's there's there
- 44:31Speaker 1: is stuff that we don't see. That is the president.
- 44:35Speaker 1: I think this alien ships about to pop off to
- 44:37Speaker 1: keep it a buck. If I was an alien and
- 44:39Speaker 1: I was looking down at this ship, I would not
- 44:41Speaker 1: come this way, be like what for what? I'll wait
- 44:44Speaker 1: till you burn each other out and then just take
- 44:46Speaker 1: it over. Like I feel like you smart enough to
- 44:48Speaker 1: get across the universe, you should be smart enough to
- 44:50Speaker 1: see that that's the ship. Could just wait for that
- 44:54Speaker 1: to burn all they might need to come down here
- 44:56Speaker 1: to humble all of us though. I mean this then
- 45:00Speaker 1: ain't gonna happen, bro right, this world today, that capital,
- 45:03Speaker 1: the Capital ship is crazy Capital, the Kovid, the war,
- 45:06Speaker 1: oh everything. If the world today came home with you
- 45:10Speaker 1: and get you in a place and focus and love,
- 45:12Speaker 1: then what's what we need? Yep? That's facts man. Well,
- 45:15Speaker 1: look earth gang. I appreciate you guys for tapping in.
- 45:19Speaker 1: Hopefully we get an album sooner than later, sooner, sooner, sooner,
- 45:24Speaker 1: and uh the new single is out. Go support it, go,
- 45:27Speaker 1: you know, go run that bitch up on at your
- 45:30Speaker 1: radio stations and uh call in, get on their nerves. Bro,
- 45:33Speaker 1: We're trying to do like they used to do back
- 45:34Speaker 1: in the day. You know what I'm saying. They used
- 45:36Speaker 1: to call in and be like bugging you know what
- 45:37Speaker 1: the problem is though most radio stations, well not in
- 45:40Speaker 1: Atlanta obviously, but a lot of places, the stations, all
- 45:43Speaker 1: the people are doing the shows from home. No one's
- 45:46Speaker 1: there to answer the fucking calls. You got to throw
- 45:48Speaker 1: rocks at the window. You just gotta tweet tweet the
- 45:50Speaker 1: radio station and they'll keep it a buck A little secret.
- 45:54Speaker 1: All your fans. If you're in the car and you
- 45:56Speaker 1: hear the record, shazam it because because if you know anyway,
- 46:02Speaker 1: because radio stations look at the Shazam data and they
- 46:06Speaker 1: use that ship to try to all the fans, all
- 46:09Speaker 1: the Earth Game fans. Yo, play it in your car
- 46:12Speaker 1: and off Spotify, and then what is this ship? Because
- 46:16Speaker 1: it will help it, It will help it at radio
- 46:18Speaker 1: right way to bootleg boom boom boom. Earth Game. Appreciate
- 46:21Speaker 1: you all for checking in.
