- 0:30Speaker 3: Let's go over and lead off with what's happening in
- 0:32Speaker 3: DC right now, which of course is the Blockchain Summit,
- 0:36Speaker 3: and I was.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Supposed to be there.
- 0:38Speaker 3: I'm not feeling well, as you guys can see. But
- 0:40Speaker 3: the point is is a lot of things are happening,
- 0:43Speaker 3: and I think we are getting to the point where
- 0:45Speaker 3: we are going to have an opportunity to see history
- 0:49Speaker 3: being made.
- 0:50Speaker 1: And I want to go to this first clip.
- 0:51Speaker 3: This first clip is really a breakdown by Dusty Johnson
- 0:55Speaker 3: that says, hey, we've got to move pretty fast.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Take a look.
- 0:57Speaker 4: What can we be doing.
- 0:58Speaker 5: Continue to talk about urgency, just continue to let folks
- 1:02Speaker 5: know we really really have to get this done. We
- 1:05Speaker 5: are very close to being out of time. I'm concerned
- 1:08Speaker 5: we're going.
- 1:08Speaker 1: To blow out.
- 1:09Speaker 5: Don't move the goal pulse. I do not understand the Senate.
- 1:13Speaker 5: Whatever they're putting in the tap yoca putting they eat
- 1:15Speaker 5: after lunch. They need to change that recipe. It just
- 1:18Speaker 5: takes them so long. But we really are running out
- 1:21Speaker 5: of time. We are running out of time. The new
- 1:24Speaker 5: hold up is yield bearing on stable coins.
- 1:27Speaker 1: I get it.
- 1:28Speaker 5: But the time has really come for us to figure
- 1:30Speaker 5: out what does a reasonable compromise look like. We absolutely
- 1:35Speaker 5: need to get this done. We better get it done.
- 1:37Speaker 5: This dithering is unbecoming a great institution, all right.
- 1:41Speaker 3: So well, you know, dithering is what politicians do the best,
- 1:45Speaker 3: And it's been happening for a long time.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Guys.
- 1:47Speaker 3: We've had this on the deck since last August. That
- 1:51Speaker 3: was when it was supposed to be done. The first
- 1:52Speaker 3: time that we had all sorts of then it was March.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Now you know, we're dealing with a whole new era.
- 1:58Speaker 3: I think of where this is really going to happen.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Bernie Moreno, though, hits it pretty well, and he talks
- 2:04Speaker 3: about we are in a kind of a point of
- 2:07Speaker 3: no return.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Take a look.
- 2:09Speaker 2: If we don't get the Clarity Act passed by May,
- 2:12Speaker 2: digital asset legislation will not pass for the foreseeable future.
- 2:16Speaker 2: I implore all of you to stay with us and
- 2:20Speaker 2: keep pushing. We are on the cusp of getting this
- 2:24Speaker 2: industry absolutely stapled to the future of the United States
- 2:27Speaker 2: of America. We'll get this across the finish line. We're
- 2:30Speaker 2: gonna do it together, and we will win, and then
- 2:32Speaker 2: it's go.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Time, all right.
- 2:34Speaker 3: I feel pretty good about Moreno what. We've been following
- 2:37Speaker 3: him for a while. He's new to the game, and
- 2:41Speaker 3: I think he understands what's happening here and the opportunity
- 2:44Speaker 3: it brings to the United States around business, innovation and
- 2:47Speaker 3: so much more. When you look at what said the
- 2:50Speaker 3: alumus has been talking about. She's mostly in the bitcoin camp,
- 2:54Speaker 3: but she actually said something here that I thought, ooh,
- 2:57Speaker 3: does this curse our clarity odds?
- 2:58Speaker 1: Take a look.
- 3:00Speaker 6: Can we give any hope to this room that maybe
- 3:02Speaker 6: we'll see an endgame here?
- 3:03Speaker 7: I thought we'd be doing a victory lap by now. Gosh,
- 3:08Speaker 7: the Bank's got really dug in on this for reasons
- 3:12Speaker 7: that still escape me. But the good news is we
- 3:16Speaker 7: are so close. And I know I've been saying that
- 3:20Speaker 7: for a long time, but we are so close this time.
- 3:23Speaker 7: I just want to assure you we really are going
- 3:26Speaker 7: to get it out of the Banking Committee in April,
- 3:30Speaker 7: but we're going to mark it up in April. We're
- 3:34Speaker 7: going to mark it up after the Easter recess. We're
- 3:38Speaker 7: going to have this thing done, come hell or high water.
- 3:43Speaker 1: This great So.
- 3:47Speaker 3: A lot of optimism, all right, So a little cringe
- 3:52Speaker 3: there of what Lomas is talking about, and she is right.
- 3:56Speaker 3: I mean, we have been going at this for quite
- 3:58Speaker 3: some time. There's been false stars after fallse starts.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Banks have jumped into the midst of this.
- 4:03Speaker 3: If you're brand new to crypto, you're just getting in
- 4:06Speaker 3: and understanding what's going on. We are literally at the
- 4:09Speaker 3: threshold of reformatting our financial future in the United States,
- 4:14Speaker 3: and what it's going to be is going to be huge.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Now Tim Scott, who I think is the linchpin here
- 4:20Speaker 3: of how this will go, he talks about the real
- 4:23Speaker 3: hope behind this, take a look.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Can you please give us an update. Where are we
- 4:27Speaker 1: on getting clarity. Let us pray.
- 4:31Speaker 4: Thank God for the White House getting involved. We missed
- 4:35Speaker 4: lots of my artificial deadlines, but we are making progress
- 4:38Speaker 4: on all the other parts that we don't hear about.
- 4:40Speaker 5: You alluded to one of the biggest issues, stable coin yield,
- 4:43Speaker 5: stable coin rewards.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Everyone in this audience knows it.
- 4:46Speaker 8: Well.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Can you give an update on the progress there.
- 4:49Speaker 4: We are making progress. The good news from my perspective
- 4:52Speaker 4: is that this really is not about having a partisan vote.
- 4:57Speaker 4: This is about having both sides fighting over the differences.
- 5:01Speaker 4: And I believe that this week we will have the
- 5:04Speaker 4: first proposal in my hands to take a look at.
- 5:09Speaker 4: And if that actually happens before the end of this week,
- 5:11Speaker 4: and I think that it will, well at least know
- 5:14Speaker 4: that the sketch looks like the person. I see it
- 5:18Speaker 4: as the largest publicly celebrated challenge that we have. I mean, listen,
- 5:23Speaker 4: I think if you want to be real about it, listen.
- 5:24Speaker 4: The issues of ethics, I think we're very close to
- 5:28Speaker 4: landing the plane on ethics, issue on quorum, we decided
- 5:32Speaker 4: to see FCC leave. And I think the issue of
- 5:34Speaker 4: defive I've talked to Mark probably every week. We're still
- 5:38Speaker 4: in a constructive process there. Good news is those issues
- 5:42Speaker 4: seem to pale in comparison to the rewards issue.
- 5:46Speaker 3: So what you see there with Tim is we're going
- 5:49Speaker 3: to know by this week or from what he's telling us.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Remember this is the lead official coming out on Center
- 5:54Speaker 3: Banking Committee.
- 5:56Speaker 1: The guy. If this does not come across the.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Line, I think maybe Trump has a figure to point here.
- 6:02Speaker 3: But we will know this week and what we have
- 6:06Speaker 3: in reference to possibly some concessions around what this is
- 6:09Speaker 3: going to look like. Now, there are some other things
- 6:11Speaker 3: that are connecting to this in the Clarity Act.
- 6:15Speaker 1: One of it is around.
- 6:16Speaker 3: The tax build and remember this was something that was
- 6:18Speaker 3: attempted during the Genius Act passing, but now the possibility
- 6:23Speaker 3: might link this into Clarity.
- 6:25Speaker 6: Take a look, tax was not mentioned in the Genius Act.
- 6:28Speaker 6: We need this clarity and I like where this is going.
- 6:32Speaker 6: And I think the deem Basis rule is going in
- 6:33Speaker 6: the right direction if we want this to move around freely.
- 6:36Speaker 4: So when you go.
- 6:37Speaker 8: Into Costco right now, you can only use I believe,
- 6:39Speaker 8: one form of payment MasterCard Visa. Now think about if
- 6:43Speaker 8: you're my brother who's a small retailer and he is
- 6:46Speaker 8: a square payment, he gets hit with six percent on amex.
- 6:49Speaker 8: This is going to change the world and going to
- 6:52Speaker 8: change our country for the better. Once people are out
- 6:54Speaker 8: there and they say they are going to take stable coin,
- 6:57Speaker 8: I don't know if I'll go back to a credit
- 6:59Speaker 8: card again. So this is something, as you can see,
- 7:02Speaker 8: I like.
- 7:02Speaker 9: A lot, and we need it done in a timely
- 7:05Speaker 9: manner so that as the final pieces are passed in
- 7:10Speaker 9: the Senate that this bill is right there to move forward.
- 7:14Speaker 3: So a couple of things that you have to look
- 7:16Speaker 3: at there is first, bringing payments into this, I think
- 7:20Speaker 3: is very important.
- 7:21Speaker 1: The tax component, I'm.
- 7:23Speaker 3: Assuming is going to be somewhat basic because I'm trying
- 7:28Speaker 3: to pile that in this late in the game.
- 7:31Speaker 1: That could create some problems.
- 7:32Speaker 3: But I think what they're going for is to get
- 7:35Speaker 3: the payment component in here. And this is a big
- 7:37Speaker 3: deal because they're talking about retailers and the ability to
- 7:39Speaker 3: be able to have that option to accepting stable going
- 7:43Speaker 3: for payment, and if that does happen, that would be
- 7:47Speaker 3: absolutely huge and it would be a huge win I
- 7:49Speaker 3: think for Congress to get that across the line, because
- 7:52Speaker 3: that's covering not only investors, it's covering retail and innovation.
- 7:56Speaker 3: I mean, basically, it's a financial windfall for everybody.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I go further into this last clip before we get
- 8:02Speaker 1: go in here.
- 8:02Speaker 3: This is Paul Atkins where he's endorsing Clarity by Nate.
- 8:06Speaker 1: This is the head of the SEC. Take a look.
- 8:08Speaker 10: I suspect that many in this audience are really tired
- 8:11Speaker 10: of hearing about the perils of uncertainty. On that note,
- 8:15Speaker 10: I strongly support the ongoing bipartisan efforts on Capitol Hill,
- 8:20Speaker 10: particularly the Clarity Act that I trust will soon reach
- 8:24Speaker 10: President Trump's desk.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Well, that's a big statement coming from Atkins because he
- 8:30Speaker 3: has never really said that in terms of supporting the
- 8:33Speaker 3: bill by name and doing it there at the blockchain summit.
- 8:37Speaker 3: I think is a big win for the industry and
- 8:39Speaker 3: it's also going to help I think Trump and being
- 8:41Speaker 3: able to close this out. However, with all of this
- 8:44Speaker 3: good news, we are still seeing Yes, it is a
- 8:47Speaker 3: high percentage at sixty two percent, but we're still seeing
- 8:50Speaker 3: a little bit of a pause here on clarity probability. Now,
- 8:54Speaker 3: I think this should be much higher based on what
- 8:56Speaker 3: we're seeing, based on our research, based on what we're
- 8:58Speaker 3: hearing from DC. It all kinds of boils down to
- 9:02Speaker 3: what these concessions have been. I want to go to
- 9:04Speaker 3: another clip that will break down some of this, because
- 9:07Speaker 3: this is also layering in a new announcement from the
- 9:11Speaker 3: SEC that happened yesterday.
- 9:13Speaker 1: You guys saw it.
- 9:14Speaker 3: This is all about a new token taxonomy and what
- 9:17Speaker 3: it means for innovation.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Take a look.
- 9:20Speaker 10: So today I'm pleased to announce that the SEC's persistent
- 9:24Speaker 10: failure to provide clarity on this question is over. As
- 9:29Speaker 10: we speak, the Commission is implementing a token taxonomy, an
- 9:34Speaker 10: investment contract interpretation, and you should find that in your inbox.
- 9:38Speaker 10: Establishes four asset categories that are not deemed to be securities,
- 9:44Speaker 10: so digital commodities, digital collectibles, digital tools, and payment stable coins.
- 9:51Speaker 10: That only one crypto asset class remains subject to securities laws,
- 9:57Speaker 10: namely digital securities, which are traditiontional securities that are tokenized.
- 10:02Speaker 10: So we're not the Securities and Everything Commissioned anymore. So
- 10:08Speaker 10: I seek and presumably the CFTC will be coming out
- 10:15Speaker 10: too with some some sort of taxonomy sometime soon, and.
- 10:19Speaker 6: We've agreed to the same taxonomy.
- 10:20Speaker 10: That's that's organization, that's you'll see the participating.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know when that's happened before.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Yeah, me neither. I don't know what that's happened before.
- 10:32Speaker 3: Where you get two major bureaucratic agencies agreeing on how
- 10:37Speaker 3: this is playing out. There was a lot of other
- 10:39Speaker 3: things that they announced in this press release. There it
- 10:42Speaker 3: is regulation on crypto assets safe Harbor, but I want
- 10:45Speaker 3: to kind of call a focus here on startup exemptions.
- 10:48Speaker 1: This is pretty big.
- 10:49Speaker 3: The exemption could also allow entrepreneurs to raise up to
- 10:52Speaker 3: a defined of amount five million during a four year
- 10:55Speaker 3: period with notices to Commission when they're relying on exemption
- 10:58Speaker 3: and when exiting Mainly innovation. This is gonna be a
- 11:01Speaker 3: big deal for startups fundraising up to seventy five million
- 11:03Speaker 3: over twelve months. This is another big deal, especially because
- 11:07Speaker 3: those have been big drawbacks with the SEC going forward.
- 11:11Speaker 3: And then you go into the actual breakdown of the
- 11:14Speaker 3: digital commodities. There they are guys, let's read them aptos, Avalanche, Bitcoin, Bitcoin, cash, Cardano,
- 11:21Speaker 3: chain Link, doge coin, eth and then of course you've
- 11:25Speaker 3: got h Bardera like coin, Polka Dot, shiba Inu, Solana,
- 11:31Speaker 3: then Stellar, Tezos and last but not least XRP. So
- 11:36Speaker 3: those are now all commodities, all agreed upon by both agencies,
- 11:41Speaker 3: probably one of the biggest things that has happened in
- 11:43Speaker 3: crypto to date. I think we're going to see a
- 11:46Speaker 3: lot of opportunity here. Now there is a hell Mary
- 11:49Speaker 3: plan and what it boils down to is Memorial Day
- 11:52Speaker 3: break after May twenty first. So that's kind of the
- 11:55Speaker 3: timing that we're dealing with right now. Granted, remember this
- 11:58Speaker 3: hits Tim Scott's dey us this week.
- 12:00Speaker 1: He says, sketch. We'll see what gets pushed back from that.
- 12:04Speaker 7: All.
- 12:05Speaker 3: That's kind of interesting timing here because we've got Project
- 12:08Speaker 3: hel Mary in the theater, so we need a hel Mary.
- 12:10Speaker 3: And then, of course, the last thing I want to
- 12:12Speaker 3: hit on is this right here, Crypto Exchange Kraken is
- 12:15Speaker 3: now freezing their IPO. Now this is a concern because
- 12:18Speaker 3: this sends shockwaves through the crypto industry, meaning it's the
- 12:23Speaker 3: red flag guys that says no crypto companies are going
- 12:26Speaker 3: to IPO. That's a bad thing for the s and
- 12:29Speaker 3: P five hundred's bad thing for stock market. And if
- 12:33Speaker 3: we don't get clarity, I think this starts to affect
- 12:36Speaker 3: traditional finance even more. If you like this video, like
