  Nicky Billou: I had a conversation with a good friend of mine by the name of Jefferson Banks.

  Nicky Billou: Banks is not famous.

  Nicky Billou: He's not hyper rich,

  Nicky Billou: but he is wise and he is brilliant.

  Nicky Billou: And he said something to me that was so powerful,

  Nicky Billou: I had to share it with you.

  Nicky Billou: I'd rather suffer the consequences of keeping my word than train myself not to.

  Nicky Billou: that's powerful.

  Nicky Billou: What does it mean?

  Nicky Billou: Simple.

  Nicky Billou: We live in a day and age and time where keeping your word is no longer expected.

  Nicky Billou: There's no longer a level of social pressure,

  Nicky Billou: especially if you're a man that there used to be,

  Nicky Billou: for you to keep your word and do what you said you were going to do.

  Nicky Billou: That pressure is gone.

  Nicky Billou: And people feel free to willy-nilly,

  Nicky Billou: wishy-washy,

  Nicky Billou: say yes to things, i.e. give their word to them,

  Nicky Billou: and then not follow through.

  Nicky Billou: And by doing so,
• 2:14
  Nicky Billou: they may temporarily relieve a level of pressure that they're feeling.

  Nicky Billou: They may temporarily feel relief.

  Nicky Billou: And that, oh my God, thank God, I don't have to do that.

  Nicky Billou: But what they're doing is that they're training themselves to have a weak word.

  Nicky Billou: And by training themselves to have a weak word,

  Nicky Billou: what they're doing is they're telling God Almighty that all those dreams and desires that I have and have told you about,

  Nicky Billou: I'm not that serious about.
• 2:56
  Nicky Billou: And you don't really need to take me seriously or help me achieve them.

  Nicky Billou: Because if I'm not serious about them,
• 3:06
  Nicky Billou: then you shouldn't be either.

  Nicky Billou: That's what it means to train yourself not to keep your word.

  Nicky Billou: And here's what I've noticed.

  Nicky Billou: In my life,
• 3:18
  Nicky Billou: there have been times where I've given my word and it was bloody inconvenient for me to keep it.

  Nicky Billou: And some of those times I've kept it anyways.

  Nicky Billou: But you know what happened after I kept it?

  Nicky Billou: For the next several weeks,
• 3:33
  Nicky Billou: in all of the areas of my life,

  Nicky Billou: there's been progress.
• 3:39
  Nicky Billou: There's been forward movement and momentum.
• 3:42
  Nicky Billou: I've made more money.
• 3:44
  Nicky Billou: I've had great unexpected things come my way.
• 3:50
  Nicky Billou: I've had my health get better.
• 3:53
  Nicky Billou: I've had things flow easier
• 3:56
  Nicky Billou: And I'm sure you can think of instances in your life
• 3:59
  Nicky Billou: Where this has been the case for you

  Nicky Billou: Now there have also been times in my life
• 4:05
  Nicky Billou: Where I've given my word
• 4:07
  Nicky Billou: And it's been inconvenient for me to keep it
• 4:10
  Nicky Billou: And I've backed out on it
• 4:11
  Nicky Billou: As I'm sure has been the case for you
• 4:14
  Nicky Billou: And here's what's happened
• 4:16
  Nicky Billou: For the next several weeks
• 4:19
  Nicky Billou: There's been no forward progress for me in the areas of my life that are important to me,

  Nicky Billou: such as making money,
• 4:30
  Nicky Billou: such as my relationships,
• 4:33
  Nicky Billou: my health,
• 4:34
  Nicky Billou: or just general life forward momentum.
• 4:39
  Nicky Billou: It's been gone.

  Nicky Billou: And why is that?
• 4:44
  Nicky Billou: But when I don't keep my word and I go for the easy way,

  Nicky Billou: God notices.
• 4:49
  Nicky Billou: And what God does is he stops the forward momentum of my life for a time.

  Nicky Billou: This is powerful.
• 4:58
  Nicky Billou: This is important for you to learn and to understand.

  Nicky Billou: Do not willy-nilly give your word and back out on it.

  Nicky Billou: Do not.

  Nicky Billou: If you're unsure,

  Nicky Billou: don't give your word.

  Nicky Billou: If you do give your word, you need to keep it.

  Nicky Billou: Even,

  Nicky Billou: nay, especially when it is no longer convenient or easy for you to keep your word.

  Nicky Billou: Because what God is doing is giving you an absolute brilliant opportunity to create massive

  Nicky Billou: forward momentum,
• 5:31
  Nicky Billou: massive forward progress in your life.
• 5:34
  Nicky Billou: And the price to be paid is to keep your word when it's inconvenient.

  Nicky Billou: and this opportunity is like a test

  Nicky Billou: and you have an opportunity to either pass this test
• 5:45
  Nicky Billou: or you have an opportunity to fail this test.

  Nicky Billou: If you pass this test,

  Nicky Billou: you will be happy,

  Nicky Billou: fulfilled,

  Nicky Billou: satisfied with the incredible results

  Nicky Billou: as a result of you keeping your word.
