- 0:00Speaker 1: Tampa Bay's best music is Magic.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Magic. Magic.
- 0:04Speaker 3: 94.9. And welcome to a new episode of Scotty and
- 0:06Speaker 3: Abby Unfiltered. Thank you if you started watching us on YouTube.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Those videos get uploaded after each episode if you want
- 0:12Speaker 3: to see what we look like as we're talking about
- 0:13Speaker 3: these things. And also, if you caught up on Miranda's
- 0:16Speaker 3: episode yesterday, it did make me think, because a big
- 0:18Speaker 3: discussion yesterday.
- 0:20Speaker 4: And I hope this is fair to say.
- 0:21Speaker 3: But Miranda was a little worried about what she talked
- 0:23Speaker 3: about and how it would reflect a little bit here
- 0:25Speaker 3: at work.
- 0:26Speaker 2: She was texting me until 9.30 last night.
- 0:30Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 0:30Speaker 4: All day.
- 0:31Speaker 3: All day.
- 0:32Speaker 2: So, love you, Miranda. We're just always outing your text messages. Yesterday,
- 0:37Speaker 2: we were in our meeting with our boss, and she goes, Abby,
- 0:39Speaker 2: I'm really worried about the name of the shot that
- 0:42Speaker 2: I was talking about. And you'll go back, and you'll
- 0:45Speaker 2: be looking for the name of the shot. It's not
- 0:46Speaker 2: in there because I cut it out. Oh, okay.
- 0:47Speaker 5: She goes- I think it just sounds really bad. I'm
- 0:50Speaker 5: worried I'm going to get fired. Can you ask Jenna?
- 0:52Speaker 5: Jenna's our boss. If like, that's okay. And I'm like, okay.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Jenna's like, it's fine. Jenna's a big stickler for the rules.
- 0:56Speaker 2: So I'm like, she's fine with it.
- 0:58Speaker 5: You're fine.
- 0:58Speaker 2: And then all day yesterday, I have so much anxiety.
- 1:02Speaker 2: I don't know why it's not normal. And I was like,
- 1:03Speaker 2: you're fine.
- 1:04Speaker 5: You're an adult.
- 1:05Speaker 2: You can talk about alcohol. And she goes, okay, sorry.
- 1:08Speaker 2: And then at nine Oh three last night, will you
- 1:10Speaker 2: kill me? If I ask you to edit the name
- 1:12Speaker 2: of the shot out, I'm just really worried. And I said,
- 1:15Speaker 2: At 943, I.
- 1:16Speaker 5: Was like, okay, I'll go back and cut it.
- 1:18Speaker 4: It's fine.
- 1:19Speaker 5: Like, you're fine.
- 1:20Speaker 2: But also, like, I think it's so important when people
- 1:22Speaker 2: come on and they give you their vulnerable stories and
- 1:24Speaker 2: they talk about their lives. Like, I think it is
- 1:27Speaker 2: just courteous. When they say cut something, just cut it. Like,
- 1:30Speaker 2: even though you're like, you're fine. You're not going to
- 1:31Speaker 2: get fired because you said blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Just cut it.
- 1:35Speaker 4: It's not a big deal. And I understand that anxiety, though,
- 1:38Speaker 4: because what she's 22.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:39Speaker 4: And this career, it's like you just stepped into your
- 1:41Speaker 4: first career. And it got me thinking.
- 1:42Speaker 3: I was like, was there anything that maybe you didn't
- 1:46Speaker 3: get fired for? But in the beginning of their career,
- 1:48Speaker 3: you should have been fired for or at least reprimanded for.
- 1:51Speaker 2: The worst thing I've ever done. Like the worst mistake
- 1:54Speaker 2: I made at work was a couple of years ago.
- 1:56Speaker 2: And I actually don't really know if I'm allowed to
- 1:58Speaker 2: talk about this publicly. But do you remember that big
- 1:59Speaker 2: data breach we had?
- 2:01Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Back in twenty twenty one. Yeah, we were like just
- 2:04Speaker 2: coming out of the pandemic.
- 2:06Speaker 5: And I remember I.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Was going to take my first big vacation slash trip
- 2:11Speaker 2: because I felt weird about taking PTO because, you know,
- 2:13Speaker 2: how it is when you first graduate.
- 2:14Speaker 3: You're like, I don't I still struggle to talk about
- 2:17Speaker 3: how much we do. But every time I go to
- 2:19Speaker 3: send the email, that's like, hey, I want to take
- 2:22Speaker 3: a week. I still have that stress. So I get it,
- 2:24Speaker 3: especially when you're first in a career.
- 2:26Speaker 2: So when you're 22, you're like, you know what, let
- 2:27Speaker 2: me just like knock on a big vacation for like
- 2:29Speaker 2: a year.
- 2:29Speaker 5: And then for me, my first year post-grad was the pandemic.
- 2:32Speaker 2: So then I felt like I was on vacation for
- 2:34Speaker 2: a year and a half because all we did, like,
- 2:36Speaker 2: I felt like I was stealing money from the company.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Like I was giving myself more work to do because
- 2:41Speaker 2: I was terrified they were going to fire me because
- 2:43Speaker 2: I was a new hire. I had no job experience.
- 2:45Speaker 2: And I was like, I need to prove my worth
- 2:47Speaker 2: that they keep me around. And so I remember 2021
- 2:50Speaker 2: came around and I was about to go to Nashville
- 2:53Speaker 2: for a couple days with my mom.
- 2:54Speaker 5: It was like my favorite place in the world at
- 2:55Speaker 5: the time.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Like you could have given me the choice between going
- 2:57Speaker 2: to Barbados and Nashville and I was like choosing Nashville
- 2:59Speaker 2: every single time. So we had this big data breach
- 3:03Speaker 2: happen to where our systems weren't manually putting in songs
- 3:10Speaker 2: and commercials and so People that normally weren't running the boards,
- 3:14Speaker 2: aka the 22, 23-year-olds, had to go in and manually
- 3:17Speaker 2: put in ads and manually fire off the legal IDs
- 3:21Speaker 2: that keep us in good standing with the FCC. And
- 3:24Speaker 2: so I remember I had gone on vacation. I didn't
- 3:26Speaker 2: know if they were going to let me go on vacation.
- 3:27Speaker 2: And I was thrilled they let me go on vacation.
- 3:29Speaker 2: And I came back and I remember... I thought.
- 3:32Speaker 5: The situation would have resolved itself by then.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Cause it had been a couple of weeks and I
- 3:36Speaker 2: came back and I was just like dicking off in
- 3:40Speaker 2: my office somewhere, like scrolling on my phone and the
- 3:43Speaker 2: ops manager, shout out Jules. Um, she now works in Atlanta.
- 3:46Speaker 2: She came in and she's like, dude, what are you doing?
- 3:48Speaker 2: And I just remember the panic in her face. And
- 3:50Speaker 2: I was like the panic in my face. And she,
- 3:52Speaker 2: you know, I, we probably lost thousands of dollars in
- 3:54Speaker 2: advertising dollars, but it was fine because you know.
- 3:58Speaker 5: I'd been working like seven jobs at that office. What
- 4:00Speaker 5: were they going to do? Fire me?
- 4:01Speaker 4: Exactly. If they get rid of you, they now have
- 4:03Speaker 4: to take on those roles as well.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Exactly. But in those beginning stages, like every little move,
- 4:07Speaker 3: every little mistake, you feel like it's just being looked
- 4:09Speaker 3: at through, you know, a microscope. Yeah, 100%.
- 4:12Speaker 4: So I completely get it.
- 4:13Speaker 3: I appreciate Miranda being as vulnerable as she was and
- 4:16Speaker 3: speaking up about it. Because once it out, I guess
- 4:18Speaker 3: what's so weird, and I think about this a lot
- 4:20Speaker 3: when we talk about things here, You know, this is
- 4:23Speaker 3: our fam that listens to it. But what happens is
- 4:27Speaker 3: these are the things that people remember you for and
- 4:30Speaker 3: your reputation gets built from. It could be a casual
- 4:32Speaker 3: conversation that we're having. And all of a sudden it's like,
- 4:35Speaker 3: all right, six months down the line, somebody's like, oh,
- 4:37Speaker 3: my God, you have so and so or you're like
- 4:39Speaker 3: so and so.
- 4:39Speaker 2: And you're like.
- 4:40Speaker 3: I mean, I mentioned it once. I'm not in love
- 4:43Speaker 3: with it or I don't do it all the time.
- 4:44Speaker 3: It's just very interesting to have the reputation. Like, for example,
- 4:48Speaker 3: like I remember in the very beginning of my career
- 4:50Speaker 3: going out a lot with the station and it was
- 4:52Speaker 3: just what we did. We went out for bar events.
- 4:55Speaker 3: We had a ton of events, whether it was St.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Paddy's Day or Gasparilla. And so from the outside looking in,
- 5:01Speaker 3: based off of my social media, it looked like I
- 5:02Speaker 3: was a party person. animal it's just that was the
- 5:05Speaker 3: illusion and so I was getting calls from my family
- 5:09Speaker 3: that were like hey is everything okay and then my
- 5:13Speaker 3: dad would call and be a little more strict with
- 5:15Speaker 3: it and you'd say yo it looks like you have
- 5:18Speaker 3: a problem like is there anything you need to talk
- 5:20Speaker 3: about I think you need to cool it With all
- 5:21Speaker 3: the drinking. And I was like, oh, that's the illusion
- 5:25Speaker 3: that's kind of being put out there. That's not the reality. Like,
- 5:28Speaker 3: I promise you, it's just looking like that because of
- 5:30Speaker 3: they were sending me out at the time. I was
- 5:32Speaker 3: doing a bar night every Friday or every Friday and Saturday.
- 5:35Speaker 3: And so literally every weekend on my social media, it
- 5:37Speaker 3: looks like I'm going crazy.
- 5:38Speaker 4: Bonkers.
- 5:39Speaker 3: And in reality, it's like, that's just a picture. I just,
- 5:41Speaker 3: I literally needed to put a picture up in order
- 5:43Speaker 3: to get paid for that event. Yeah. But the reputation
- 5:45Speaker 3: gets formed just based off of the things that we
- 5:48Speaker 3: say here or the things that we put up online,
- 5:50Speaker 3: especially now online. Yeah.
- 5:51Speaker 5: It's a perception thing for sure. But also, I don't know.
- 5:54Speaker 2: I feel like everyone just needs to take a deep
- 5:55Speaker 2: breath and maybe it's because of the field that we
- 5:58Speaker 2: work in. I, I kind of hate the illusion of professionalism.
- 6:03Speaker 5: Do you know what I mean?
- 6:03Speaker 2: Like, I hate that we're all trying to pretend like
- 6:05Speaker 2: we're these big buttoned up suit monkeys.
- 6:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:08Speaker 2: And when it's just kind of like, I'd rather just
- 6:10Speaker 2: be a person. And that doesn't mean you need to
- 6:12Speaker 2: be some kind of rambunctious freak that.
- 6:14Speaker 5: Goes out all the time.
- 6:15Speaker 2: But also like when, for example, when we did our
- 6:18Speaker 2: Q & A on Monday where our boss Jenna was
- 6:20Speaker 2: asking me about the.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Social media posts that I had done that had gotten
- 6:24Speaker 2: a lot of traction with Shane Gillis, and I said
- 6:26Speaker 2: the word whore, and she kind of looked at me like,
- 6:28Speaker 2: are you allowed to, I'm like, the whole social media
- 6:30Speaker 2: post is about me saying the word whore. Why are
- 6:32Speaker 2: we going to act like behind closed doors, we don't
- 6:34Speaker 2: say the word whore or that we don't swear? Like,
- 6:37Speaker 2: I'd rather just be a person with you than pretend
- 6:39Speaker 2: that I'm some buttoned up person.
- 6:41Speaker 3: I don't know. I think in our industry, especially, it's
- 6:44Speaker 3: weird because literally half the building, you go through One
- 6:47Speaker 3: half of our building is all on-air personalities. They're the
- 6:49Speaker 3: ones that come in. Like right now, I'm literally wearing
- 6:51Speaker 3: shorts and a t-shirt and like a little jacket. And
- 6:53Speaker 3: then the other side of the building, it's suits. It's
- 6:55Speaker 3: button downs. It's loafers.
- 6:57Speaker 4: It's very professional looking.
- 6:59Speaker 3: But it is interesting because you go around and it's
- 7:02Speaker 3: like you said, the people that we see in these
- 7:03Speaker 3: big fancy buildings that are doing very, and again, important jobs,
- 7:07Speaker 3: I will give them credit too. It's that way of, wait,
- 7:10Speaker 3: this isn't who you actually are. No. Whether it's how
- 7:13Speaker 3: you speak or how you hold yourself, like.
- 7:15Speaker 4: Just be yourself. be a human with me.
- 7:16Speaker 3: And that's how I've always approached, like even, well, we
- 7:19Speaker 3: heard my athlete situation, but like other musicians where it's like,
- 7:23Speaker 3: you know, we have somebody that comes in.
- 7:24Speaker 4: I always just look at him as a human. I'm like,
- 7:26Speaker 4: I don't care what you wear, what you do.
- 7:27Speaker 3: You literally have the same makeup as a human that
- 7:30Speaker 3: I do. So no matter what you do, it doesn't
- 7:32Speaker 3: put you in another class that I'm in necessarily.
- 7:35Speaker 4: But I do agree.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Cause I was listening to you talk on the stage
- 7:37Speaker 3: and I was like, I'm sure it's very foreign for
- 7:41Speaker 3: a lot of the people in that room to hear
- 7:43Speaker 3: that kind of language spoken in the office. But you
- 7:45Speaker 3: just take him out of the office and then it's
- 7:46Speaker 3: like all of a sudden that conversation is normal.
- 7:48Speaker 2: That's what I mean is like, why do we have
- 7:50Speaker 2: to go to a happy hour for you to be
- 7:51Speaker 2: a person with me? And I understand there is a
- 7:53Speaker 2: time and place for things, but I'd rather just, I
- 7:57Speaker 2: don't know. I'm very sensitive to being censored, if that
- 8:00Speaker 2: makes sense. And I don't really know where that comes from.
- 8:02Speaker 2: But like my parents have a big problem with me swearing.
- 8:04Speaker 2: And I don't understand because I'm like, they're just words.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Like it makes zero sense to me that me saying
- 8:11Speaker 2: the word fuck versus fudge, like that's going to make
- 8:14Speaker 2: the difference between you respecting me or not respecting me.
- 8:17Speaker 2: And again, it comes down to perception. And I understand
- 8:19Speaker 2: certain words have a certain kind of perception, but I
- 8:22Speaker 2: think that's just dumb. I think that's just dumb. And
- 8:25Speaker 2: I think we should just be more of ourselves around
- 8:27Speaker 2: each other. It's just a more comfortable environment. And you're
- 8:30Speaker 2: going to pay attention more. If I'm sitting upstairs, if
- 8:32Speaker 2: I'm sitting on stage and I'm talking to you about
- 8:33Speaker 2: the Shane Gill situation, and I'm telling you how I
- 8:36Speaker 2: really feel about My deep down thoughts, to me, that's
- 8:39Speaker 2: more captivating than me going up and, yes, the metrics
- 8:41Speaker 2: say this, and I decided to flip him off because
- 8:44Speaker 2: of the return on investment.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Like, it just doesn't make sense to me. Yeah, like
- 8:46Speaker 3: you lose your audience because it's like, wait, you're not
- 8:48Speaker 3: a human. Like, that's what we're talking about with the
- 8:49Speaker 3: coach situation. Like, talk about, you know, how it really
- 8:52Speaker 3: feels in that room, how it really feels on the team,
- 8:55Speaker 3: how you really feel about a situation.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Yeah, and I think people are appreciating that more in
- 8:58Speaker 2: the age of AI. Like, again, there was another— um
- 9:01Speaker 2: post-game interview that has been all over my page it's
- 9:04Speaker 2: so funny it's this guy named Devin Cooley and he's
- 9:07Speaker 2: a goalie for the Calgary blah blah blah whatever hockey
- 9:11Speaker 2: team and they were asking him they're like how was
- 9:13Speaker 2: your game and he just gets this crazy look in
- 9:16Speaker 2: his eyes like he doesn't blink for like two minutes
- 9:18Speaker 2: straight and he just goes oh they asked him how
- 9:21Speaker 2: did it feel to block that goal or whatever and
- 9:22Speaker 2: he goes I felt nothing I just I just went
- 9:26Speaker 2: out there and I felt absolutely nothing and it was
- 9:27Speaker 2: glorious I'm like I've never heard a person talk like
- 9:29Speaker 2: this before But you can just tell this is so
- 9:32Speaker 2: authentically him. And then you flip to, you know, you
- 9:35Speaker 2: scroll through and you see another postgame interview from some
- 9:37Speaker 2: other you who's doing a postgame interview. And they're just like,
- 9:41Speaker 2: so monotone. And they're just like, yep, we did this
- 9:43Speaker 2: and we passed the ball and then we shot the
- 9:45Speaker 2: ball and the ball didn't go in. But we're going
- 9:47Speaker 2: to try better next time.
- 9:48Speaker 5: I don't want to hear that.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Yeah, no, because that doesn't give us any context. There's
- 9:51Speaker 3: a whole thing out right now I was watching on
- 9:53Speaker 3: social media of one of our players on the raise.
- 9:56Speaker 4: And he's this young dude. I think he's like 23.
- 9:57Speaker 4: And he hits this massive.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Homer in the last game and the big controversy was
- 10:02Speaker 3: that he took like 38 seconds to round the bases
- 10:05Speaker 3: because he would like stop midway hype up the crowd
- 10:09Speaker 3: everyone's going crazy was.
- 10:10Speaker 5: This junior coming coming arrow yeah yeah yeah.
- 10:12Speaker 3: And this became a whole conversation because people like How
- 10:15Speaker 3: dare he take that much time and showboat and everything?
- 10:19Speaker 3: And my opinion on it, I was like... That's exactly
- 10:23Speaker 3: what he should be doing.
- 10:23Speaker 2: That's exactly what he should be doing. He should be
- 10:25Speaker 2: entertaining us.
- 10:27Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Like bring that excitement because your excitement is going to
- 10:30Speaker 3: bring our excitement up.
- 10:31Speaker 4: We want to see you. You're 23. You should be
- 10:34Speaker 4: that excited about it.
- 10:35Speaker 3: It's not that you're going around and like punching the
- 10:37Speaker 3: opposing team's players as you go by the bases. Yeah.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Leave that for Benchmark International Arena.
- 10:41Speaker 4: We want those fights there.
- 10:42Speaker 5: Leave that for the lightning.
- 10:43Speaker 3: But to see people getting so brave, I'm like, yo,
- 10:46Speaker 3: he's being so authentic to his emotion and that feeling.
- 10:49Speaker 4: And everyone in the stands loved it.
- 10:51Speaker 3: But anybody online that sees it is going to have
- 10:53Speaker 3: an opinion on it that he shouldn't have done it.
- 10:55Speaker 2: I saw that and that didn't make sense to me
- 10:57Speaker 2: because I as someone who's just a casual sports fan
- 11:00Speaker 2: and someone who doesn't really want to sit through a
- 11:02Speaker 2: five hour baseball game without several beers in my hand.
- 11:05Speaker 5: I love that.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Like, I think we've forgotten that sports is supposed to
- 11:08Speaker 2: be for entertainment. Like, we get so focused on the stats.
- 11:11Speaker 2: And of course, it's important to win because I think
- 11:13Speaker 2: winning is a part of the entertainment aspect. But honestly,
- 11:16Speaker 2: I would rather see a very interesting matchup between two teams.
- 11:20Speaker 2: that are passionate about winning, that want to get the
- 11:23Speaker 2: crowd amped up rather than just a game where like
- 11:26Speaker 2: somebody knocks it out of the park and it's crazy.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Yeah, and they just round the bases like it's no
- 11:29Speaker 3: big deal. Like it is a big deal. It's supposed
- 11:31Speaker 3: to be exciting for your city. You're going to the
- 11:33Speaker 3: World Series. Have the excitement for it, which makes it
- 11:36Speaker 3: very interesting because sports have different rules and like, okay, hockey,
- 11:40Speaker 3: you fight.
- 11:40Speaker 4: You literally fight on the ice.
- 11:42Speaker 5: It is crazy that they can just do that.
- 11:43Speaker 4: But we all love it now.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 11:45Speaker 5: It's so entertaining.
- 11:46Speaker 4: You take the same thing and you put it in
- 11:47Speaker 4: any other sport. It's like, oh, my God, how dare they?
- 11:50Speaker 3: Like, God forbid. Like if in football, if players, you know,
- 11:53Speaker 3: get into a fight. Yes, there's little scruffles every now
- 11:55Speaker 3: and then. But if players get into a fight, they're suspended.
- 11:58Speaker 2: To be fair, football is just kind of the fighting
- 12:00Speaker 2: part of all the other sports.
- 12:02Speaker 3: That's true.
- 12:02Speaker 2: They're just constantly going at each other. And then I
- 12:05Speaker 2: feel like in baseball, it's not fair because they don't
- 12:06Speaker 2: have any. I mean, I guess you have a helmet
- 12:08Speaker 2: on when you're hitting, but.
- 12:09Speaker 4: Yeah, but it's more risky. And I guess that's part
- 12:11Speaker 4: of it.
- 12:12Speaker 3: But I always think, and I look at football, they've
- 12:14Speaker 3: made so many rules that are like, you know, I
- 12:16Speaker 3: guess they've overshot the rules. And one is like the
- 12:19Speaker 3: showboating side of it. Let's say if you score a touchdown...
- 12:22Speaker 3: And you've got to be so careful of how you
- 12:23Speaker 3: celebrate because you do the wrong move.
- 12:25Speaker 4: And it's like now you're getting penalized for it.
- 12:27Speaker 3: But those are the parts. You know, I wasn't always
- 12:29Speaker 3: a big fan of it growing up. But now I
- 12:31Speaker 3: look at them like that's the entertaining part.
- 12:32Speaker 2: I love the touchdown dance. Again, that to me is
- 12:35Speaker 2: a part of the entertainment aspect. Like the thought of
- 12:37Speaker 2: grown men in the locker room saying five, six, seven, eight.
- 12:41Speaker 2: And like putting together their choreographed routines and their hand
- 12:44Speaker 2: signals and getting creative.
- 12:45Speaker 5: And being like, hey, guys. let's do this when we get, like,
- 12:48Speaker 5: I think that's the cutest shit.
- 12:49Speaker 2: I think it's so precious, and I think they should
- 12:51Speaker 2: do it more, and I hate the fact that there's
- 12:53Speaker 2: such ticklers about it.
- 12:54Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like, you're going too far.
- 12:56Speaker 3: It's not what we wanted to have taken away, and
- 12:57Speaker 3: I think about it, you know, sports, and I could
- 13:00Speaker 3: be completely wrong about this, but I compare it to, like,
- 13:03Speaker 3: it all started at the Coliseum, and, like, you know,
- 13:07Speaker 3: thousands of years ago in Italy, where you get gladiators
- 13:11Speaker 3: out there, and their whole thing was, of course, they're
- 13:13Speaker 3: trying to survive, and they're fighting, but you look over
- 13:15Speaker 3: at the crowd and it's like, are you not entertained?
- 13:18Speaker 3: And it's like, you want everyone to feel that excitement.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Everyone came out there to be entertained. And so all
- 13:23Speaker 3: the other games should be like that in some aspect.
- 13:26Speaker 3: We shouldn't always be penalizing for them doing a little
- 13:29Speaker 3: extra to get the crowd involved as well.
- 13:31Speaker 2: It's just modern-day gladiators. So when you go to Raymond James,
- 13:34Speaker 2: think of the Coliseum. You're in Tampa Bay's Coliseum.
- 13:36Speaker 4: I'm going to be honest.
- 13:37Speaker 3: I think of that every time because of the way
- 13:39Speaker 3: the stands are set. I'm like, we are literally in
- 13:40Speaker 3: the Coliseum just in the 2026 version.
- 13:42Speaker 2: In 7,000 years, there's going to be some bozo exploring
- 13:45Speaker 2: Raymond James. And they're like, wow, they really like tackled
- 13:47Speaker 2: each other here. It's crazy how they stopped doing that
- 13:50Speaker 2: in 2028 because people were getting so poorly injured.
- 13:54Speaker 3: I was having a whole conversation with friends about that.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Cause we talked about that here, the extra guardian caps
- 13:58Speaker 3: that players are wearing and some players aren't wearing them
- 14:00Speaker 3: because it doesn't look cool, but it made me think.
- 14:02Speaker 3: And again, just sometimes I just get weird in my thoughts.
- 14:05Speaker 3: I'm like, I wonder how long that support will last
- 14:07Speaker 3: like that. I'm like, when does it turn? Especially with
- 14:09Speaker 3: all the robots now, do we just have robots playing
- 14:13Speaker 3: the game and we just watch and the players are
- 14:15Speaker 3: the ones that have the controller.
- 14:16Speaker 4: And I was like, That would, there's no part of
- 14:19Speaker 4: that that seems entertaining.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Oh, it's like Madden in real life.
- 14:21Speaker 4: And that's literally what I compare it to.
- 14:22Speaker 3: I think what will.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Happen is for like the next 20 to 30 years,
- 14:25Speaker 2: they'll try the guardian cap thing. Like I think at
- 14:27Speaker 2: some point guardian caps will become mandatory.
- 14:29Speaker 3: Yeah, as they should be. It's just weird that they're not.
- 14:32Speaker 3: Extra protection for your brain when so many people are
- 14:36Speaker 3: getting CTE. Yeah. You're not going to make it mandatory
- 14:38Speaker 3: for a player to wear. Yeah, it looks a little weird,
- 14:40Speaker 3: but it's only going to look weird for a little bit.
- 14:42Speaker 4: And then eventually... We'll get used to it.
- 14:43Speaker 5: Yeah, to be fair, they do look dumb.
- 14:45Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, no, they do.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Absolutely valid criticism of the Guardian cap. I don't understand
- 14:49Speaker 2: why they can't find, like, a memory foam. Like, we
- 14:51Speaker 2: can't find, like, a more, like, a smaller memory foam
- 14:53Speaker 2: that can just be more compact. Like, we can't put
- 14:55Speaker 2: a Tempur-Pedic in there?
- 14:56Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 14:56Speaker 4: I think that's kind of what's in there.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Like, back in, well, back in my day, when I
- 14:59Speaker 3: was playing high school football, we had these pads that you, like,
- 15:01Speaker 3: you'd blow air into. And so they were like a
- 15:03Speaker 3: squish pad. They were like a mattress. But even then,
- 15:06Speaker 3: I mean, it's that, I don't know. I guess I
- 15:08Speaker 3: don't know the science behind it, but when you smack
- 15:10Speaker 3: your head into another player's head or your head hits
- 15:13Speaker 3: the ground, it doesn't matter.
- 15:14Speaker 4: It's kind of like a car crash.
- 15:16Speaker 3: Like, yeah, it's going to help the impact a little bit,
- 15:18Speaker 3: but what foam is really going to be able to
- 15:20Speaker 3: help without it being, you know, I guess.
- 15:22Speaker 4: Getting in the way of the game.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:24Speaker 3: You could put a Tempur-Pedic in there, but now it's heavy.
- 15:26Speaker 3: Now it's a little weird. You might get a little
- 15:29Speaker 3: sweaty because they're also dealing with like, how do you
- 15:31Speaker 3: make it Efficient for heat. And, you know, somebody sweating
- 15:34Speaker 3: their ass off in that gladiator costume.
- 15:38Speaker 4: What does it turn into?
- 15:38Speaker 3: I don't know. But now I see all these video gamers.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Those sports have gone crazy. People in front of screens
- 15:45Speaker 3: playing the game. Those are starting to take over. So
- 15:47Speaker 3: it just makes me wonder. I'm like, how long does
- 15:48Speaker 3: a sport like football stay?
- 15:50Speaker 2: Well, as long as the patriarchy is in place, I
- 15:53Speaker 2: feel like we'll just keep doing it and doing it
- 15:55Speaker 2: once the women take over. We're just going to paint
- 15:57Speaker 2: each other's nails for competitive sport. We're just going to
- 16:00Speaker 2: shout insults at each other across stadiums. It'll be like
- 16:03Speaker 2: rap battles.
- 16:04Speaker 4: I'd watch. It'd be entertaining enough.
- 16:06Speaker 5: I think it'd be fun. I mean, Wild N' Out
- 16:08Speaker 5: does it.
- 16:08Speaker 2: They do the back and forth rap battles where they
- 16:10Speaker 2: just insult each other and they're like, you're mama. And then,
- 16:12Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 16:14Speaker 4: You're mama. But there is something entertaining.
- 16:17Speaker 3: I don't know what it is, but just watching like
- 16:19Speaker 3: a game that, you know, especially a lot of us played.
- 16:22Speaker 3: And now you're watching it at just such an elite
- 16:23Speaker 3: level that it would be cool every now and then.
- 16:25Speaker 3: I always think about this with the Olympics. Just have
- 16:27Speaker 3: like an average Joe out there just so we could
- 16:29Speaker 3: see how much further and better these players are than
- 16:32Speaker 3: what we claim to be back.
- 16:33Speaker 2: In the day.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:34Speaker 5: What's the baseline?
- 16:36Speaker 2: I was in the hallway with Mike Cernak, who told
- 16:38Speaker 2: me something interesting about the injury list on hockey teams
- 16:41Speaker 2: because he's a big Lightning fan.
- 16:42Speaker 3: So I was.
- 16:43Speaker 2: Ripping it up with him in there we were talking
- 16:44Speaker 2: about the game last night and he goes you know
- 16:47Speaker 2: they'll release the injury reports but they won't tell you
- 16:52Speaker 2: what the injuries are because they don't want the other
- 16:54Speaker 2: players going after the injured ones as like a way
- 16:57Speaker 2: to knock them out like they'll just say upper body
- 16:59Speaker 2: or lower body energy i'm like That is so calculated.
- 17:02Speaker 2: That's how I know they have women on their staff,
- 17:04Speaker 2: because I just feel like that was some woman's idea
- 17:06Speaker 2: at some point, because women are that conniving and manipulative. Like, listen,
- 17:10Speaker 2: go for a bloop, bloop, bloop, bloop, bloop, because he sprained.
- 17:12Speaker 5: His ankle last week. I feel like we can take
- 17:14Speaker 5: him out for the season.
- 17:15Speaker 4: You'll see players go after.
- 17:16Speaker 3: It's the craziest thing, because I feel like as much
- 17:19Speaker 3: respect as they have for each other in the game,
- 17:21Speaker 3: they're playing at the highest level. They don't want to
- 17:23Speaker 3: ruin their career. But if you can get an advantage,
- 17:25Speaker 3: you'll see it in football all the time. Always got
- 17:27Speaker 3: a hurt hand. And so they'll go in there and
- 17:29Speaker 3: they'll target that hand.
- 17:30Speaker 5: Oh, do you think that's why they took out Baker? Baker,
- 17:32Speaker 5: who dislocated his thumb? I mean, and he looks fine.
- 17:35Speaker 5: He's bobbing around.
- 17:36Speaker 3: I know.
- 17:37Speaker 4: I hate it.
- 17:37Speaker 3: I hate it because it just looks they look so casual.
- 17:40Speaker 3: But again, I don't know what it feels like to
- 17:41Speaker 3: throw a ball when that's your entire job with a
- 17:44Speaker 3: dislocated thumb. Yeah, that probably is extremely painful. The one
- 17:47Speaker 3: that I remember hearing. on Travis and Jason's podcast is
- 17:50Speaker 3: they were talking about turf toe one time. And I've
- 17:53Speaker 3: never had turf toe, but that name doesn't sound like
- 17:55Speaker 3: it would be that painful, right?
- 17:56Speaker 5: Sounds like athlete's foot.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Yeah, like you're like, okay, like stretch your foot a
- 17:59Speaker 3: little bit, like you're fine. But apparently it's like a
- 18:01Speaker 3: tear at the bottom of your foot muscles that takes
- 18:04Speaker 3: just so long to heal and it's excruciating. But it
- 18:07Speaker 3: doesn't put to the impact of what it actually is
- 18:09Speaker 3: when you just call it turf toe. So that's how
- 18:11Speaker 3: I feel about the dislocated thumb. I'm like, is his
- 18:13Speaker 3: tendon like just, is it ripped? Is it needing to repair?
- 18:16Speaker 2: Is it the kind of thing, is turf toe... the
- 18:18Speaker 2: kind of thing that only happens on turf or is
- 18:21Speaker 2: it just.
- 18:22Speaker 3: No i don't think it's the only thing that happens
- 18:24Speaker 3: i think runners could get it anything that you're planting
- 18:27Speaker 3: your foot and kind of doing the toe extension through
- 18:30Speaker 3: the foot because i think it's that stretch not a
- 18:33Speaker 3: doctor just putting it out there because i find these
- 18:36Speaker 3: things interesting when your toe extends and those little muscles
- 18:39Speaker 3: that they get too tight and they do little tears
- 18:41Speaker 3: i'm sure that's what.
- 18:42Speaker 4: It's compared to. Again, put it in the comments.
- 18:44Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 18:45Speaker 4: This is what I've just watched. Look at us.
- 18:46Speaker 5: We're basically a sports podcast now.
- 18:48Speaker 3: We might as well just be in the physician's office
- 18:50Speaker 3: with these athletes, diagnosing them. The other thing we mentioned
- 18:54Speaker 3: a couple podcasts, though, was the post that you put
- 18:56Speaker 3: up from five years ago on your Instagram.
- 18:58Speaker 5: Oh, I forgot we didn't talk about how ugly I
- 18:59Speaker 5: used to be.
- 19:00Speaker 3: No, but I did appreciate the post because I was like,
- 19:03Speaker 3: that's one such a.
- 19:06Speaker 4: Here's my real, raw, authentic thought as I was driving
- 19:08Speaker 4: in this morning.
- 19:09Speaker 5: You know I love that.
- 19:10Speaker 3: I thought how impressive it is on who you are
- 19:14Speaker 3: today and how you look today and how you've just
- 19:17Speaker 3: completely transformed how you look, hopefully how you feel as well,
- 19:21Speaker 3: in that time period.
- 19:23Speaker 4: As I was driving this.
- 19:23Speaker 3: Morning, I thought about that because one of the things
- 19:25Speaker 3: that I want to do in this next year is,
- 19:27Speaker 3: all right, it's time to really lock in. And I'm
- 19:30Speaker 3: talking sleep, eating, working out, mental health, physical health. Just
- 19:33Speaker 3: get as healthy as I've ever been. Healthier than my
- 19:35Speaker 3: 18-year-old self, my 26-year-old self in this year. And I
- 19:39Speaker 3: thought about your post and I was like, it's extremely
- 19:41Speaker 3: impressive because that could be a post that somebody just
- 19:45Speaker 3: goes by. That takes so much work to do what
- 19:47Speaker 3: you've done. Yeah.
- 19:48Speaker 2: And it's crazy because I even look back at photos
- 19:50Speaker 2: of me a year ago and I felt so good
- 19:53Speaker 2: a year ago.
- 19:54Speaker 5: I felt so good two.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Years ago when I was just kind of getting my,
- 19:56Speaker 2: my health in order, which I'm not going to go
- 19:58Speaker 2: into the long dissertation, but long story short, I was like,
- 20:01Speaker 2: I felt so gross in my body and I didn't
- 20:04Speaker 2: understand what was going on. And I think the root
- 20:06Speaker 2: of it, and I've been talking to my therapist a
- 20:07Speaker 2: lot about this. My therapist thinks I have an autoimmune disorder.
- 20:10Speaker 2: And I think that has amongst just being like a
- 20:13Speaker 2: lady has led me to a life of having super
- 20:17Speaker 2: low iron, super low ferritin, which then affects your thyroid
- 20:20Speaker 2: and your thyroid affects like everything else in life, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Anyway,
- 20:23Speaker 2: I've gotten my labs in order and it's just allowed
- 20:26Speaker 2: my body to get to a place where a, I
- 20:28Speaker 2: do feel healthy, but I also think I just look
- 20:30Speaker 2: healthier because Like I was looking at this post of
- 20:33Speaker 2: me that I did. So you can scroll on my reel.
- 20:36Speaker 2: It's from the week of October 18th. And it's like
- 20:41Speaker 2: my face is completely, it's like someone took a balloon
- 20:46Speaker 2: to my face and just kind of like blew it
- 20:48Speaker 2: up with helium. And I'm like, it's not even that
- 20:51Speaker 2: I'm that much smaller. Like I think I've lost like
- 20:53Speaker 2: 20 or 25 pounds. Mm-hmm.
- 20:55Speaker 5: It's not even just the weight.
- 20:56Speaker 2: It's like my face and my eyes look completely different.
- 20:59Speaker 2: And obviously I got a nose job. But then like
- 21:01Speaker 2: you look at my face and granted the beauty filters
- 21:03Speaker 2: on it. And it's like the shape of my face
- 21:06Speaker 2: is different. And I'm like, oh, my God. Oh, I
- 21:08Speaker 2: also got veneers, too. I forgot that I put that
- 21:10Speaker 2: in there, too. I didn't put that down. But I mean,
- 21:13Speaker 2: just I look like a different human to... The point
- 21:16Speaker 2: where I was like, oh, my God, this time next.
- 21:19Speaker 2: It kind of made me self-conscious, weirdly enough, about how
- 21:21Speaker 2: I look now. Because I was like, oh, my God,
- 21:23Speaker 2: is there a future version of me that's looking back
- 21:26Speaker 2: on October 2026 Abby and going, ew.
- 21:28Speaker 5: Do you know what I mean?
- 21:29Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 21:30Speaker 3: Yeah. Where it's like our goal is to continue to improve. Yeah.
- 21:33Speaker 4: Just the healthier version.
- 21:34Speaker 3: But I think what really sticks out for me is
- 21:36Speaker 3: I'm like, I don't think people understand how much.
- 21:39Speaker 4: And maybe they do. But like you just said casually, like, oh,
- 21:42Speaker 4: I think I, you know, lost 20, 30 pounds. That's substantial.
- 21:46Speaker 4: Like the work that goes into that.
- 21:48Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a lot.
- 21:49Speaker 4: It's a lot.
- 21:49Speaker 2: But it also happened over like a very slow period
- 21:52Speaker 2: of time. Like I think I started, I think my
- 21:54Speaker 2: body was in a place where I could start losing
- 21:56Speaker 2: weight in 2024.
- 21:56Speaker 5: So like this time two years ago.
- 21:58Speaker 2: So I mean. It's taken me two years to get
- 22:03Speaker 2: to the point where I just kind of look like this.
- 22:05Speaker 2: And granted, you know, the nose job and all the things.
- 22:07Speaker 2: But yeah, I mean, it still was like a slow progression.
- 22:10Speaker 2: And I look back on photos of me a year
- 22:12Speaker 2: ago and I go, oh, I.
- 22:13Speaker 5: Look way better now than I did a year ago.
- 22:15Speaker 2: And so I'm like kind of nervous about who I'm
- 22:17Speaker 2: going to be in a year because I'm like, oh,
- 22:18Speaker 2: my God, I think I look so great now. But
- 22:21Speaker 2: I'm probably looking back on myself and thinking, well, I'm really.
- 22:24Speaker 5: Fucking ugly right now.
- 22:25Speaker 3: Well, how do you feel now versus like then? Because
- 22:28Speaker 3: I can only imagine the feeling like internally now. Yeah, no,
- 22:32Speaker 3: I feel good.
- 22:34Speaker 2: It makes me want to get more plastic surgery because
- 22:35Speaker 2: I was like, damn, it worked out the first time.
- 22:37Speaker 5: Like, what else can I get? Like, how hot can
- 22:39Speaker 5: I get?
- 22:40Speaker 2: We talk a lot about our looks and we talk
- 22:42Speaker 2: a lot about how, like, Scotty and I are super
- 22:43Speaker 2: vain because we both just like to work out. We
- 22:45Speaker 2: like to, you know, feel good, look good, all the things.
- 22:48Speaker 2: I realized this weekend I'm very competitive about everything.
- 22:52Speaker 5: And I think that does include my appearance.
- 22:54Speaker 2: And I think it bothers me that genetically, like, there's
- 22:57Speaker 2: only so much you can do.
- 22:59Speaker 5: And also financially, like there's only so much you could do.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Like I wish I was stupid rich because I'm so
- 23:03Speaker 2: competitive that I'm like, I want to be competitively hot.
- 23:06Speaker 5: I know it's like a dumb thing to say.
- 23:08Speaker 3: Let me think about that. Cause I don't think it's
- 23:10Speaker 3: as dumb as you think. Cause I think a lot
- 23:11Speaker 3: of us think those things, but we don't say them.
- 23:13Speaker 3: But I look at like, I'll look at dudes constantly
- 23:15Speaker 3: and I'm like.
- 23:16Speaker 5: Am I better looking than them?
- 23:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:17Speaker 4: Oh my God.
- 23:18Speaker 3: Yeah. But it's like a guy has a certain amount
- 23:20Speaker 3: of muscle. I'm like, oh, I could be better than that.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Like there's no reason why he should be able to
- 23:23Speaker 3: do something. And I can't, that's what I was explaining
- 23:25Speaker 3: to a friend yesterday. He's going after this massive challenge,
- 23:27Speaker 3: another big endurance race. And I told him, I was like,
- 23:30Speaker 3: the way I look at it is there's other people
- 23:32Speaker 3: that have done it and we have the ability to
- 23:34Speaker 3: do it too. So I'm not stopping until I do it.
- 23:36Speaker 3: Because I can't... I don't know how that sounds listening,
- 23:39Speaker 3: but it's like this thing in my head that I'm like...
- 23:41Speaker 3: I can't give up until I know I've given it
- 23:42Speaker 3: every shot. And that's including my body.
- 23:45Speaker 4: Like, I don't need to... I don't know.
- 23:47Speaker 5: Maybe, I don't know.
- 23:47Speaker 3: Dive more into that thought of being competitively hot. Because
- 23:50Speaker 3: I don't know if I'm, like, trying to be the hottest.
- 23:54Speaker 4: Because I never.
- 23:54Speaker 3: There's only so much you can do. Yeah, like, I
- 23:57Speaker 3: don't really look at myself... I've never looked at myself
- 23:58Speaker 3: like that. I could say every now and then I
- 24:00Speaker 3: feel like I look handsome. But I know the one
- 24:04Speaker 3: thing that I could always control... And this has literally
- 24:06Speaker 3: stemmed since I was in fifth grade... Was my body.
- 24:08Speaker 3: I was like, I can't control my vision... I could
- 24:11Speaker 3: wear glasses. I can't control how my face looks. And
- 24:14Speaker 3: at that age, I had like acne. I was like,
- 24:16Speaker 3: the one thing I could do is I could work
- 24:17Speaker 3: out and I could be the strongest and hopefully the
- 24:19Speaker 3: most in shape. And so I just went with that
- 24:21Speaker 3: for years. And that still drives me today. Like I'll
- 24:24Speaker 3: go to the gym and I'll see someone like, dang,
- 24:26Speaker 3: they look good. And then I look at myself and
- 24:28Speaker 3: I'm like, you could do better. And it just, it's a,
- 24:31Speaker 3: I don't know if it's toxic.
- 24:32Speaker 4: It almost feels toxic.
- 24:33Speaker 2: No, I think we just have the same gear in
- 24:34Speaker 2: our head where maybe for you, it's not necessarily like
- 24:37Speaker 2: physical facial beauty, which is the female beauty standard. Whereas
- 24:40Speaker 2: for guys, I guess the beauty standard is how jacked
- 24:43Speaker 2: can you be?
- 24:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:44Speaker 4: Like naturally.
- 24:45Speaker 3: Cause I hate when I see like somebody, I have
- 24:47Speaker 3: a buddy I work out with who's like, he just
- 24:49Speaker 3: can't tell.
- 24:49Speaker 4: I've just, I've done this for so long where I
- 24:51Speaker 4: go in the gym. I'm like, you're on juice. You're
- 24:54Speaker 4: on TRT.
- 24:54Speaker 3: Like, you're loaded up on substances that no matter how
- 24:57Speaker 3: hard I work, I won't be able to get to
- 24:58Speaker 3: that point.
- 24:59Speaker 2: But the way you see that guy who's juiced up
- 25:01Speaker 2: is the same way I see, like, a woman in
- 25:03Speaker 2: Miami who has just an obnoxious amount of stuff done.
- 25:07Speaker 5: Like, I'm not trying to be that.
- 25:08Speaker 4: Do you know what I mean?
- 25:09Speaker 2: I think you and I are both are thinking, what
- 25:12Speaker 2: is our natural genetic potential?
- 25:15Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like, what's the best version of us?
- 25:16Speaker 5: Yeah, to an extent. I'm like, I'm not above an implant.
- 25:19Speaker 5: You know what I mean?
- 25:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:20Speaker 5: You know what I mean? I'll consider it.
- 25:22Speaker 4: That should be taken out. I'm not above an implant.
- 25:26Speaker 2: But, yeah, there's a part of me that's like, I
- 25:29Speaker 2: hate getting outmogged by another girl in a bar.
- 25:31Speaker 5: Like, I think, and maybe I'm making a generalization.
- 25:35Speaker 2: I think maybe it's the Disney princess of it all
- 25:38Speaker 2: where I think a lot of women, including myself, and
- 25:40Speaker 2: I'm including other women because I think it makes me
- 25:42Speaker 2: feel less vain. We have Cinderella syndrome where you want
- 25:45Speaker 2: to walk into the, you want to be the prettiest
- 25:46Speaker 2: girl at the party. You want to walk in people like, oh,
- 25:49Speaker 2: my God, your outfit is so great. Oh, my God,
- 25:50Speaker 2: you look so beautiful. You want all the guys to
- 25:52Speaker 2: want to talk to you. And I'm like, yeah, I
- 25:55Speaker 2: think I'm at a stage where I'm like, I think
- 25:57Speaker 2: I feel like I have the capability to where I'm like,
- 26:00Speaker 2: I want to be competitively, disgustingly good looking.
- 26:04Speaker 3: I think that's a very valid thing to say. I
- 26:06Speaker 3: think it might sound weird saying it out loud, but
- 26:08Speaker 3: I think a lot of people are like, of course,
- 26:09Speaker 3: I want to look and feel my best. And I
- 26:11Speaker 3: think that's the part of what you posted that really
- 26:14Speaker 3: caught my eye where I was like, wow, like you
- 26:16Speaker 3: have done the work.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:17Speaker 3: It's easy to just say, well, I guess I think
- 26:20Speaker 3: that's the difference. Maybe that's what caught my eye. I
- 26:21Speaker 3: was like, for so many of us, we see these
- 26:24Speaker 3: things and we're like, I guess that's not obtainable for me.
- 26:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Not in this lifetime. But then there's another side of
- 26:30Speaker 3: us that's like, no, wait a second. Let's see what
- 26:32Speaker 3: I can control. in order to get another step forward.
- 26:36Speaker 3: And I see that. I'm like, wow, Abby did that.
- 26:38Speaker 3: Abby's literally the living example of like, all right, you
- 26:40Speaker 3: saw something. You wanted to change something. And you did.
- 26:43Speaker 5: But it's funny.
- 26:44Speaker 2: And I think, again, this goes back to what I said.
- 26:46Speaker 2: I didn't even think I really looked that bad in
- 26:48Speaker 2: that video.
- 26:48Speaker 5: No, I look pretty bad because I didn't even recognize myself.
- 26:51Speaker 2: I was scrolling back in my old TikToks and I
- 26:53Speaker 2: genuinely was like, Who is that?
- 26:56Speaker 5: Like, that was my thought.
- 26:57Speaker 2: And then that's why I decided to put the videos
- 26:58Speaker 2: back to back because I, I kind of wanted to
- 27:02Speaker 2: do it for me to where I could look at
- 27:03Speaker 2: them side by side and go, Oh my God, like
- 27:07Speaker 2: I look insanely different.
- 27:09Speaker 5: And then of course it sparked a new insecurity of,
- 27:10Speaker 5: I think I look good now. Who am I going
- 27:13Speaker 5: to be in five years? Who am I going to
- 27:15Speaker 5: be at 35?
- 27:15Speaker 2: Which I guess is the best thing you can think
- 27:17Speaker 2: of going into your thirties. Cause I think women think,
- 27:19Speaker 2: Oh my God, I'm going to get so ugly once
- 27:20Speaker 2: I hit 30. Um, that yeah, it is crazy that
- 27:23Speaker 2: I'm like, getting more action from men in their early
- 27:26Speaker 2: 20s than now that I was when I was in
- 27:30Speaker 2: my early to mid 20s.
- 27:31Speaker 3: And it feels like, I don't know, correct me if
- 27:33Speaker 3: I'm wrong, but like you're taking just better care of
- 27:34Speaker 3: yourself in general.
- 27:36Speaker 2: Yeah, well... I've always taken good care of myself but
- 27:40Speaker 2: I think I didn't realize again like I probably was
- 27:42Speaker 2: suffering from anemia or low iron during that time and
- 27:46Speaker 2: didn't understand why you know I work out all the
- 27:49Speaker 2: time and just kind of look normal.
- 27:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Whereas now I feel like my body I've been working
- 27:52Speaker 2: really hard for years that I feel like my body
- 27:54Speaker 2: is just healthy to where it will respond to those
- 27:57Speaker 2: to those stimuli.
- 27:58Speaker 3: And you also like I think that's a huge thing
- 28:00Speaker 3: for me to hear too. It's like you dove in
- 28:01Speaker 3: and had to understand what was happening. Yeah. Like for
- 28:04Speaker 3: so many years I've just taken my health for granted
- 28:06Speaker 3: because I just felt I run, I walk, I cycle,
- 28:08Speaker 3: I lift, I eat pretty decently, I sleep okay.
- 28:11Speaker 4: I'm like, I'm fine.
- 28:12Speaker 3: But one of the things that I definitely will start
- 28:14Speaker 3: to prioritize now more is like, I should do the
- 28:17Speaker 3: internal look. Like, what am I missing internally? Like, am
- 28:20Speaker 3: I low on this? Am I missing the opportunity to
- 28:23Speaker 3: be better just even mentally and clarity? Because, you know,
- 28:25Speaker 3: I looked at my sleep score again. I was like
- 28:27Speaker 3: five and a half hours. I'm like, all right, that's
- 28:29Speaker 3: been the running average for years. There has to be
- 28:33Speaker 3: a massive effect there. I was telling my coach that
- 28:34Speaker 3: and my coach literally pretty much cussed me out. Because
- 28:36Speaker 3: there's all these little things that we could improve, whether
- 28:39Speaker 3: it's like, you know, stepping and walking every day or
- 28:41Speaker 3: getting better sleep or drinking more water, like these little things.
- 28:45Speaker 4: That's what I'm doing this year. I'm like, I'm going
- 28:46Speaker 4: to fix the.
- 28:47Speaker 3: Little things because I was telling a buddy and I
- 28:49Speaker 3: was like, I want to be the best version. It's like, dude,
- 28:51Speaker 3: you're doing everything. I was like, no, I was like,
- 28:53Speaker 3: this is where we're wrong. I'm doing everything, but I'm
- 28:55Speaker 3: not doing everything at the best of its ability. And
- 28:58Speaker 3: I think I could improve on those things. It's not
- 29:00Speaker 3: going to take any extra time. It's just going to
- 29:02Speaker 3: take switching how.
- 29:03Speaker 4: I do them.
- 29:04Speaker 3: How do I eat? How do I sleep? How do
- 29:06Speaker 3: I stretch? All those little things. But your post inspired.
- 29:09Speaker 1: All of that.
- 29:10Speaker 4: So thank you.
- 29:10Speaker 3: Damn.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Who knew that me posting, look how ugly I used
- 29:13Speaker 2: to be, would trigger you to go on a wellness journey.
- 29:16Speaker 4: What would you change, though?
- 29:17Speaker 3: So let's just say hypothetically, in a year, you're like, okay,
- 29:19Speaker 3: there's a better version. The 30-year-old version of Abby is
- 29:22Speaker 3: going to be better than the 29-year-old version.
- 29:25Speaker 4: What would you change?
- 29:26Speaker 2: Um, I really want to have more muscle definition. I'm
- 29:28Speaker 2: trying to figure out that. I don't know if I'm under,
- 29:30Speaker 2: under fueling, I guess, or not getting enough protein or
- 29:33Speaker 2: if I'm not going to failure enough.
- 29:35Speaker 5: I do want to get another surgery.
- 29:36Speaker 2: Really?
- 29:37Speaker 5: Yeah, I do want to get another surgery. I just am.
- 29:41Speaker 2: Sitting in the anxiety of going. Because recovering from a
- 29:45Speaker 2: rhinoplasty is really tough.
- 29:47Speaker 5: And I'm glad that I did it. I'd go back
- 29:48Speaker 5: and I'd do it a hundred times. And it sucks
- 29:51Speaker 5: for like two weeks.
- 29:52Speaker 2: But the problem is, is when I got the rhinoplasty,
- 29:55Speaker 2: I had been thinking about it for a while. I
- 29:57Speaker 2: knew for a fact that this is something that would
- 29:58Speaker 2: make my life better. And I had the PTO to
- 30:01Speaker 2: take two weeks off. And now I'm like, I don't
- 30:03Speaker 2: have that flexibility anymore.
- 30:04Speaker 4: It's a little harder to take that time.
- 30:06Speaker 5: It's a little bit harder.
- 30:06Speaker 2: And also I just, I really felt passionate about getting
- 30:10Speaker 2: my nose and my teeth done. So I was willing
- 30:11Speaker 2: to take the risk. Whereas I'm like, I know I
- 30:14Speaker 2: could do something to make my face look a little
- 30:16Speaker 2: bit more harmonized, but I don't know that I feel
- 30:19Speaker 2: passionate enough about it to spend the money, time, and
- 30:23Speaker 2: emotional energy on it.
- 30:24Speaker 3: Yeah, because it is a lot to go into. Because
- 30:26Speaker 3: I always look at those things, I'm like, what I
- 30:28Speaker 3: always question myself in is what am I going after
- 30:31Speaker 3: by doing these things? You know, like I continuously, for
- 30:34Speaker 3: the love of God, I go through phases of like
- 30:36Speaker 3: every now and then I have some abs and then
- 30:38Speaker 3: a lot of times I don't. And then every now
- 30:40Speaker 3: and then I do and I'm like, I had a
- 30:42Speaker 3: serious look at myself in the mirror the other day
- 30:44Speaker 3: I'm like what am I truly going after and I
- 30:46Speaker 3: think it just what it came down to is you
- 30:48Speaker 3: know I for me personally I'm not trying to be
- 30:50Speaker 3: like oh look at him showing off his abs I
- 30:52Speaker 3: just think that I'm like if I have the ability
- 30:55Speaker 3: to let me see if I can and what am
- 30:58Speaker 3: I doing that's taking me out of that equation but
- 31:01Speaker 3: I don't I think what I've always questioned I'm like
- 31:03Speaker 3: it's not going to bring me any more happiness I
- 31:05Speaker 3: don't think but then again I don't know.
- 31:07Speaker 2: But then you have to think about the alternative. Sometimes
- 31:09Speaker 2: it's not about... And this is how I feel about
- 31:10Speaker 2: plastic surgery, and I've said this before. Sometimes it's not about,
- 31:13Speaker 2: is it going to make you happier? But is it
- 31:15Speaker 2: going to take away whatever... Like, for me, I was
- 31:18Speaker 2: really insecure about the way that I looked with my
- 31:20Speaker 2: nose and my teeth.
- 31:21Speaker 3: Wow.
- 31:21Speaker 1: I can now take a photo and go, oh, I
- 31:23Speaker 1: like the way my face looks.
- 31:24Speaker 3: Yeah, where it's like you're not looking at yourself because
- 31:26Speaker 3: that's energy.
- 31:26Speaker 4: Okay, that makes sense.
- 31:27Speaker 5: Do you know what I mean? Like, I don't look
- 31:28Speaker 5: at my nose every day and go, my nose makes
- 31:31Speaker 5: me so happy because sometimes it's swollen and sometimes I'm like,
- 31:34Speaker 5: what the fuck is it doing?
- 31:36Speaker 2: But at the end of the day, I'm willing to
- 31:37Speaker 2: go through that because I feel like it fits my,
- 31:40Speaker 2: I feel like I look more like me. And this
- 31:42Speaker 2: is where I'll round it out now that we've talked
- 31:44Speaker 2: about the vanity of it all and the competitiveness of
- 31:46Speaker 2: it of all. The beauty of me posting that back
- 31:50Speaker 2: and forth is, instagram reel that we keep referring back
- 31:53Speaker 2: to where i look bad now i don't look bad
- 31:56Speaker 2: is i do just feel like that's the version of
- 31:57Speaker 2: me i had in my head and i think that's
- 32:00Speaker 2: the really beautiful thing about getting to do stuff like
- 32:02Speaker 2: that is you you think you look a certain way
- 32:04Speaker 2: and sometimes you you don't and now i feel like
- 32:07Speaker 2: i just look like the version of myself that i
- 32:09Speaker 2: picture when i think about how i move through.
- 32:11Speaker 3: The world i like that because it also just raises
- 32:13Speaker 3: your confidence it changes the way you walk into a
- 32:15Speaker 3: room and how you hold yourself.
- 32:16Speaker 2: Because you know i said i get hit on more
- 32:18Speaker 2: i'm not even gonna lie I think sometimes that's valid.
- 32:21Speaker 4: 100%.
- 32:22Speaker 2: I appreciate getting to be an active competitor in the
- 32:25Speaker 2: dating marketplace.
- 32:26Speaker 3: I think that is a big thought that I've had
- 32:28Speaker 3: a lot recently is like you should want to like just, well,
- 32:32Speaker 3: let me rephrase this.
- 32:34Speaker 4: Me personally, I want to continue to be the best
- 32:36Speaker 4: version of me.
- 32:38Speaker 5: Yeah, your girlfriend's beautiful, so you better not slack off, loser.
- 32:41Speaker 4: Well, that's literally what I thought to myself.
- 32:42Speaker 3: I was like, all right, you got to get your
- 32:43Speaker 3: numbers in order. Know what's going on in order to
- 32:46Speaker 3: be able to walk into a room and people be like, oh, OK, cool, cool, cool. Oh,
- 32:49Speaker 3: my God.
- 32:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I would hate for people to see a photo
- 32:51Speaker 2: of me and my boyfriend. And then they go, not
- 32:54Speaker 2: that I have a boyfriend.
- 32:54Speaker 3: I don't have a boyfriend.
- 32:55Speaker 5: I would hate for them to go.
- 32:57Speaker 2: How did Abby get that guy? But not like a complimentary, like,
- 33:00Speaker 2: Oh my God, how did she, where'd she find this guy?
- 33:02Speaker 2: More of like a, Oh God, he's with her.
- 33:04Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, it's also like, there's that side of it.
- 33:06Speaker 3: And there's also like, now it's like really the longevity
- 33:08Speaker 3: side of it too. Like I do want to be
- 33:09Speaker 3: the healthiest version for her. So it's like, we could
- 33:12Speaker 3: just do everything together, whether it's traveling or exploring or
- 33:15Speaker 3: just growing our lives together. Or, you know, I always,
- 33:18Speaker 3: I always come, I was always impressed by my dad,
- 33:21Speaker 3: the way he treated himself to make sure that, you know, he's,
- 33:24Speaker 3: about to be 65, and if we went out and
- 33:26Speaker 3: wanted to go hike the Great Wall of China, you could.
- 33:28Speaker 4: I'm like, damn!
- 33:30Speaker 3: Dad, you are very impressive, and I want to make
- 33:33Speaker 3: sure I'm doing that same thing, because he was able
- 33:34Speaker 3: to sprint against me as a kid. swim against me, like, play, wrestle,
- 33:38Speaker 3: all these things. I'm like, I want to make sure
- 33:39Speaker 3: that I'm able to do those things for my kids
- 33:41Speaker 3: as well. Yeah.
- 33:41Speaker 4: Like, there's a look of it.
- 33:42Speaker 2: Of course.
- 33:43Speaker 4: I want to be, like, the dad that, you know.
- 33:45Speaker 5: The dilf?
- 33:46Speaker 3: Yeah. Oh, my gosh. Like, you know, your kids' friends
- 33:49Speaker 3: are like, dang, your dad's like Superman.
- 33:51Speaker 4: Like, I don't want that. That's 100%. But there's also
- 33:54Speaker 4: the other side of it.
- 33:54Speaker 3: Like, I want to make sure I'm able to sprint
- 33:56Speaker 3: and not wake up and be so achy and taking
- 33:59Speaker 3: care of myself where it's, you know, I'm not looking
- 34:01Speaker 3: five years down the line and something's taking me out
- 34:03Speaker 3: too early because I didn't get a check now.
- 34:06Speaker 5: You better do it.
- 34:06Speaker 3: I know I'm doing it all now. So we're looking
- 34:09Speaker 3: all into that right now. Is there any, speaking of dating,
- 34:11Speaker 3: you've been all, have you stayed off the hinge app? Yeah.
- 34:15Speaker 5: And honestly, I will, I will never get back on them.
- 34:18Speaker 2: And I actually, I mean that with my soul right now,
- 34:20Speaker 2: I'm checking with me in like a year, but like,
- 34:23Speaker 2: I haven't thought about them once. Like ever since I
- 34:25Speaker 2: I'll delete them. And sometimes I'll be like, you'll have
- 34:27Speaker 2: the muscle memory to be like hinge.
- 34:29Speaker 5: Oh no, hinges deleted.
- 34:31Speaker 2: I don't think I'll ever get back on them. I
- 34:33Speaker 2: really don't think I will. And I think it's because, again,
- 34:35Speaker 2: it comes down to competitiveness. I think I'd rather just
- 34:37Speaker 2: go to a bar and be competitively hot and just
- 34:41Speaker 2: meet somebody in the wild. Like, I think I'm I
- 34:43Speaker 2: feel it in my soul. That's that's how I'm going
- 34:45Speaker 2: to meet. Even if I don't date anybody, just like
- 34:48Speaker 2: that's the next that's that's the next era of life
- 34:51Speaker 2: I'm entering into where I'm competitively hot enough that I
- 34:54Speaker 2: think people will approach me in the wild.
- 34:56Speaker 3: Yeah. You could just step into a room and actually
- 34:57Speaker 3: start a conversation. And not do this whole back and
- 35:00Speaker 3: forth with somebody that you may never see again. But
- 35:02Speaker 3: it is crazy, though, because, again, I feel like any
- 35:04Speaker 3: time you tell somebody, like, oh, my gosh, the dating
- 35:06Speaker 3: apps are like, I met my partner on a dating app.
- 35:08Speaker 3: It happened the other day. We're at the, you know,
- 35:10Speaker 3: what is it, Pig Jig. Talking to some awesome friends
- 35:13Speaker 3: of ours. And they're like, yeah, we met on Hinge.
- 35:16Speaker 3: And I'm like, there's another success story.
- 35:18Speaker 5: My brother and his wife.
- 35:19Speaker 4: Another success story.
- 35:20Speaker 5: One of my close friends from college.
- 35:21Speaker 3: So it doesn't necessarily have to be you. But it's
- 35:23Speaker 3: nice to know that they have their stories and yours
- 35:25Speaker 3: could be an in-person.
- 35:26Speaker 4: A meet cute.
- 35:28Speaker 2: I think we all have different stories. And I think
- 35:31Speaker 2: I've given the dating apps enough of a time period
- 35:34Speaker 2: to where if it was going to happen... It would
- 35:37Speaker 2: have happened by now.
- 35:38Speaker 3: Yeah, at least something would have had a little bit
- 35:39Speaker 3: of legs to go a little bit of a distance.
- 35:41Speaker 2: Because I feel like with those stories, you usually hear, oh,
- 35:44Speaker 2: he was like the first guy I swiped on. And
- 35:46Speaker 2: I just feel like that's how the universe was just like,
- 35:48Speaker 2: let's just get these two mofos together. So I think,
- 35:50Speaker 2: you know what? I think the universe wants me to
- 35:52Speaker 2: get hotter. I think the universe wants me to look
- 35:54Speaker 2: like a weird Miami lip filler mama.
- 35:56Speaker 4: You think so? I mean, you go to Miami this
- 35:57Speaker 4: week and that's what's going to happen.
- 35:58Speaker 3: No, I know.
- 35:59Speaker 5: I'm going to feel so ugly. Oh, my God.
- 36:01Speaker 2: I've been feeling good about myself. I'm going to feel
- 36:03Speaker 2: so hideous in Miami this weekend. I'm going to visit
- 36:06Speaker 2: my best friend from college who lives in Miami. We're
- 36:08Speaker 2: going to like all the crazy clubs and we're going
- 36:11Speaker 2: to live up Miami the way you're supposed to live
- 36:13Speaker 2: up Miami. But I'm going to be one of the
- 36:16Speaker 2: ugliest people in the room. It's just, I guess there's
- 36:19Speaker 2: somebody for everyone. Everyone finds different things of beauty. I
- 36:22Speaker 2: want to date somebody stupid, good looking and funny and.
- 36:26Speaker 5: Cool and great.
- 36:28Speaker 4: Driven and nice.
- 36:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:29Speaker 5: And I want them to want to date me.
- 36:30Speaker 2: I don't want to have to like brainwash them to
- 36:32Speaker 2: date me.
- 36:32Speaker 3: Oh my God. As you shouldn't, it should be easy
- 36:34Speaker 3: like that. Do you think it's going to be more?
- 36:36Speaker 3: I was thinking about this cause I'm going to Chicago.
- 36:38Speaker 3: You're going to Miami. It's two very massive cities for
- 36:40Speaker 3: very different reasons. On who has a better food scene,
- 36:43Speaker 3: Chicago or Miami, in your opinion? Because is that going
- 36:46Speaker 3: to be something that you're going.
- 36:47Speaker 4: To dive into?
- 36:47Speaker 5: No, we ain't eating. We're drinking.
- 36:49Speaker 4: We're drinking.
- 36:49Speaker 3: We're going out to the club. I want to look
- 36:50Speaker 3: good in my tank top.
- 36:52Speaker 2: My best friend Virginia texted me all these restaurants. And
- 36:54Speaker 2: my best friend Virginia is a recent dental school grad,
- 36:57Speaker 2: so she's making buku money.
- 36:59Speaker 4: Good for her.
- 37:00Speaker 5: Yeah, no, we love that for her.
- 37:01Speaker 2: Good for her. And, you know, dual income, no kids.
- 37:02Speaker 2: She's got a boyfriend as well. So, like, there you go.
- 37:05Speaker 2: I was like, girl, you're paying for me this whole weekend.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Hell yeah.
- 37:07Speaker 4: I'm just kidding.
- 37:08Speaker 2: But she kept sending me these restaurants and they had
- 37:10Speaker 2: like the $ 4.
- 37:10Speaker 5: Signs next to them. And listen, I'm bougie as fuck.
- 37:13Speaker 5: But I was like, girl, what is on the menu?
- 37:15Speaker 5: Like what? I can't spend $ 300 on one meal. And
- 37:19Speaker 5: she goes, we'll just have. chicken before and then we'll
- 37:22Speaker 5: just drink there oh my god just like okay is.
- 37:25Speaker 3: It that expensive there i've heard it's bad but i've
- 37:27Speaker 3: also heard it's kind of comparable to tampa.
- 37:29Speaker 1: Four dollar signs to me is crazy.
- 37:31Speaker 3: Yeah that's like a in my opinion like anniversary you're
- 37:35Speaker 3: going out you're gonna spend some dollars but you don't
- 37:36Speaker 3: do that just as.
- 37:37Speaker 2: A casual that's what i mean i'll do a three
- 37:39Speaker 2: dollar sign night since i'll just be there one day
- 37:41Speaker 2: you know i mean you get like a 30 40
- 37:42Speaker 2: 50 dollar entree you call it a day or maybe
- 37:45Speaker 2: you split some small plates But four?
- 37:48Speaker 5: But the four dollar signs.
- 37:50Speaker 3: How many Burns has? Okay, because that should be like,
- 37:53Speaker 3: in my brain, the four dollar signs in Tampa would
- 37:59Speaker 3: be like a Burns or a Charlie's.
- 38:02Speaker 4: Let's see.
- 38:02Speaker 5: Yeah, a hundred plus dollars. I'm like, girl, what do
- 38:05Speaker 5: you think I make?
- 38:07Speaker 4: Obviously, more than I think we do here.
- 38:08Speaker 3: A lot of people think we make a ton of
- 38:10Speaker 3: money here in radio.
- 38:11Speaker 2: That's really, well, I mean, it just kind of depends.
- 38:14Speaker 2: It does.
- 38:14Speaker 4: There's room for it.
- 38:16Speaker 3: But this doesn't even look that bad.
- 38:18Speaker 2: Hang on.
- 38:19Speaker 5: Raw bar.
- 38:20Speaker 4: I'll see. Burns just says a hundred dollars plus. I
- 38:22Speaker 4: don't know how many dollars.
- 38:23Speaker 2: Okay.
- 38:24Speaker 5: This is not that bad.
- 38:26Speaker 3: Okay.
- 38:26Speaker 2: What is it?
- 38:27Speaker 5: Well, I take that back.
- 38:28Speaker 4: Oh, you're looking at the appetizers.
- 38:31Speaker 5: It kind of depends. Like you can get a meat.
- 38:34Speaker 2: You can get the grilled Berber spice chicken. That's 42.
- 38:38Speaker 2: I'm not going to say that's cheap.
- 38:39Speaker 4: No, but it's expensive for a chicken.
- 38:41Speaker 5: You can get rigatoni for $ 34. That's not crazy.
- 38:42Speaker 3: Okay. All right, so we're looking at, like, that's comparable
- 38:46Speaker 3: to here in Tampa, like a Ulele.
- 38:49Speaker 2: Yeah, but then they also have, like, the lobster pasta, $ 90.
- 38:52Speaker 2: Black truffle pasta, $ 58. The caviar pasta, $ 95.
- 38:56Speaker 3: God, that's so— what' s crazy is those prices are high, and
- 39:00Speaker 3: it's actually not shocking.
- 39:02Speaker 2: You're not shocked by that?
- 39:03Speaker 3: Mm-mm. I'm kind of shocked by it.
- 39:04Speaker 2: And I'm bougie.
- 39:05Speaker 5: Listen, I spend a shit ton of money on stuff
- 39:07Speaker 5: I shouldn't.
- 39:08Speaker 3: I guess it's just whenever you go out in this area,
- 39:10Speaker 3: and it's like you just want to have, like, a—
- 39:12Speaker 3: Like a date night out, that's the prices that I'm
- 39:13Speaker 3: looking at.
- 39:14Speaker 1: Where are you going where the prices are that expensive?
- 39:17Speaker 2: Pretty much everywhere.
- 39:18Speaker 3: It's not some of the higher ones that you said,
- 39:20Speaker 3: but even Savion Wine Locker, which I talk about, I
- 39:23Speaker 3: took Brianna there for a first date the entrees there
- 39:26Speaker 3: we're talking you know lowest pasta probably 42 and then
- 39:30Speaker 3: it goes up from there I would say that's pretty
- 39:32Speaker 3: expensive I know but that's what I'm saying like I
- 39:34Speaker 3: know it's expensive I'm not doing it all the time
- 39:36Speaker 3: what the heck what I'm gonna do today I'm going
- 39:37Speaker 3: to Fresh Kitchen $ 11 for.
- 39:39Speaker 5: My bowl that's how I'm gonna rock Fresh Kitchen's a
- 39:41Speaker 5: good deal I think so.
- 39:42Speaker 3: Too you get loaded up I do that cava and
- 39:45Speaker 3: my new obsession is chicken salad chick there you go
- 39:47Speaker 3: that that's some good southern eatin And they treat you
- 39:50Speaker 3: with so much love.
- 39:51Speaker 4: And they give you the food that makes it worth
- 39:53Speaker 4: the price, I feel.
- 39:54Speaker 3: Like, I got, like, two scoops of chicken salad and
- 39:56Speaker 3: a soup for, like, 11 bucks.
- 39:57Speaker 5: There you go. It's a good deal.
- 39:59Speaker 4: It's not 42 for a chicken. But I get it.
- 40:01Speaker 4: It's also the environment. And it's in Miami. And I'm
- 40:04Speaker 4: sure it tastes amazing.
- 40:05Speaker 2: I'm sure it's great. Yeah, again, it's Miami. But I
- 40:07Speaker 2: was like, girl, I'm having liquid lunch.
- 40:09Speaker 4: Liquid dinner.
- 40:09Speaker 3: Yeah, have a little snacking. But I wonder, I don't
- 40:12Speaker 3: know Miami. Do they make the women pay to get in?
- 40:15Speaker 3: Or is it, like, women coming for free?
- 40:16Speaker 5: Probably women like me.
- 40:18Speaker 2: I don't think I have enough lip filler to get
- 40:20Speaker 2: in for free.
- 40:21Speaker 4: Get all ballooned up before you get out there.
- 40:23Speaker 5: I don't have to see my injector.
- 40:24Speaker 4: It's going to be a good trip. Miami is going
- 40:26Speaker 4: to be a lot of fun.
- 40:26Speaker 3: I don't think I could ever survive Miami because I
- 40:28Speaker 3: think a lot of friends are like, oh, yeah, we
- 40:30Speaker 3: got back at three or four.
- 40:31Speaker 4: I'm like, I can't live that lifestyle.
- 40:34Speaker 5: I can for like a night or two. Like on Saturday,
- 40:36Speaker 5: I was out until three.
- 40:38Speaker 4: This past Saturday? I know.
- 40:39Speaker 5: I said the same thing.
- 40:41Speaker 4: Good on you. Good on you. Then you showed up
- 40:43Speaker 4: for the tailgate afterwards.
- 40:44Speaker 2: And then I think I was still drunk at the tailgate.
- 40:46Speaker 4: That's crazy.
- 40:47Speaker 5: I don't know what happened. I was like, I didn't
- 40:48Speaker 5: even drink that much.
- 40:49Speaker 3: You don't have to answer, but like in those hours,
- 40:52Speaker 3: I just haven't done it for a long time. Like
- 40:54Speaker 3: what is happening from like, let's say midnight to three.
- 40:56Speaker 3: Is it just riding around town? Is it one place
- 40:58Speaker 3: that's open late?
- 41:00Speaker 2: I was at AMSA with Miranda and then I was
- 41:02Speaker 2: with her friends and then I bopped over to Anchor Bar,
- 41:05Speaker 2: which is the bar by my house or in my neighborhood,
- 41:07Speaker 2: I should say. And then I was hanging out with
- 41:10Speaker 2: somebody there and then they turned the lights on and
- 41:12Speaker 2: I was like, well, time to go.
- 41:15Speaker 4: Yeah. Well, the lights come on, you know, you've now, yeah,
- 41:17Speaker 4: you've stayed past.
- 41:17Speaker 2: I was having fun. Like if I'm with people who
- 41:19Speaker 2: can make me laugh and as long as I'm not
- 41:21Speaker 2: feeling tired from the alcohol, I'll stay out all night.
- 41:24Speaker 5: I like to dance. I like to mingle. I like
- 41:26Speaker 5: to be social. Once I'm out, I can stay out
- 41:29Speaker 5: for a while.
- 41:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:30Speaker 3: I mean, the 3amers, my brother could stay out for like, God,
- 41:33Speaker 3: he's told me. Like 48 hours before.
- 41:36Speaker 5: That's crazy.
- 41:37Speaker 3: Crazy.
- 41:37Speaker 2: Well, the thing is like with the Miami clubs, Virginia,
- 41:40Speaker 2: my friend who lives there, she was like, Oh, club space.
- 41:42Speaker 2: It it's open like from 4 PM or no, it's
- 41:45Speaker 2: open from like midnight to noon or whatever. And I
- 41:48Speaker 2: guess people stay out until noon. I'm like, I don't
- 41:51Speaker 2: want to do that. Like I want to be home
- 41:52Speaker 2: before the sun rises.
- 41:53Speaker 3: A hundred percent. Cause I feel like my whole day
- 41:56Speaker 3: would be gone the day after.
- 41:57Speaker 5: That's what I mean.
- 41:57Speaker 2: It's like, I'm not trying to party for a whole day.
- 41:59Speaker 2: I just want to have like a fun night. Take some,
- 42:02Speaker 2: I want a diabolically hot photo. That's what I texted her.
- 42:04Speaker 2: I said, I need a diabolically disgustingly beautiful photo of
- 42:09Speaker 2: me in Miami.
- 42:09Speaker 4: And then you're good to go.
- 42:10Speaker 5: And then I'm good to go.
- 42:11Speaker 2: Then we can enjoy the rest of the weekend, but
- 42:12Speaker 2: we're not leaving the apartment until you get a photo
- 42:14Speaker 2: of me and the dress I rented from Rent the Runway.
- 42:17Speaker 4: Good on you.
- 42:18Speaker 3: Good on me.
- 42:19Speaker 4: Survive Miami.
