- 0:02Speaker 1: Apostle Fermi Lazarus is a man raised by God to
- 0:06Speaker 1: demonstrate his wisdom and authority to the last day church.
- 0:10Speaker 1: He is the lead pastor of Sphere of Light Church
- 0:13Speaker 1: and God told him years ago that a time will
- 0:16Speaker 1: come where my wisdom will be needed to navigate tough
- 0:19Speaker 1: times in the body of Christ.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Then I will cause your voice to be heard and
- 0:26Speaker 2: all who pay attention to my word on your lips
- 0:29Speaker 2: will not lack light and direction. He is a man
- 0:33Speaker 2: sent from God, sent to raise God's end time armies.
- 0:38Speaker 2: With Apostle Fermi Lazarus, every minute counts as you listen attentively.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Amen. Thank you, Father.
- 0:49Speaker 4: We have a very, very interesting subject to discuss this morning.
- 0:54Speaker 3: I pray to God to help me. Amen. Amen. And
- 1:00Speaker 3: I feel this subject matters. Needs to be discussed. Amen.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Needs to be discussed. So I'm going to be. So
- 1:10Speaker 3: let me share the big picture.
- 1:15Speaker 4: This series is not just a series about family relationship.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Or for the fun of it. Okay. It's about culture overhauling. Okay.
- 1:28Speaker 4: God has a bigger agenda. And we are going to
- 1:33Speaker 4: be wasting our time if we don't begin from the family.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Okay?
- 1:37Speaker 4: Once we have this mindset established, then we export it
- 1:41Speaker 4: from that system to our nation.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Things will shift. You know, so let me... There's fire
- 1:49Speaker 3: on the mountain.
- 1:51Speaker 4: In fact, we are new in Abuja, but I've discovered
- 1:53Speaker 4: Abuja is not better than anywhere else. It's the same culture.
- 1:56Speaker 4: Go to Ghana, the same thing. Travel anywhere in Africa.
- 2:00Speaker 4: It's the same thinking. So we're going to buy a
- 2:02Speaker 4: shoe from a store. And it was not my size.
- 2:07Speaker 4: We say change the shoe. Or if you don't have
- 2:11Speaker 4: this specific one, that is my size. Return the money
- 2:17Speaker 4: so we can buy somewhere else. And they say we
- 2:20Speaker 4: have a company policy. We don't refund money in this company.
- 2:26Speaker 4: I wanted to see the owner. Because that would be
- 2:30Speaker 4: me looking at a rich guy who is about to
- 2:31Speaker 4: become poor.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Any culture where money is valued above satisfying people you
- 2:37Speaker 3: are servicing, you will crumble.
- 2:39Speaker 4: It's just a matter of when. So God is addressing
- 2:44Speaker 4: cultural beliefs. He's addressing things.
- 2:47Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:48Speaker 4: Sometimes people are excited when the pendulum is not swinging
- 2:51Speaker 4: in their direction.
- 2:53Speaker 3: But you have to understand that God is also interested
- 2:56Speaker 3: in dealing with you. Hmm.
- 3:00Speaker 4: So there is a very serious issue and we need
- 3:04Speaker 4: to discuss it in church because that's where balance exists.
- 3:08Speaker 4: The issue is that anything that is a matter that
- 3:11Speaker 4: we fail to discuss, those who are not balanced will
- 3:13Speaker 4: take it up. Give their own false narrative and that
- 3:17Speaker 4: narrative becomes our narrative.
- 3:20Speaker 3: And everybody will.
- 3:20Speaker 4: Run with it as if that's all that exists. So
- 3:25Speaker 4: we are going to be dealing with the subject of
- 3:27Speaker 4: black tax.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Black tax. I'm not teaching taxation. This is not economics class.
- 3:36Speaker 3: We're accounting. Okay?
- 3:40Speaker 4: So black tax refers to financial burden by those who
- 3:44Speaker 4: have attained level of success in the family. It's called
- 3:47Speaker 4: black tax because it is an African thing. Whether African, American, whatever.
- 3:53Speaker 4: And I'm going to show you why. It's an African thing.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Okay?
- 3:57Speaker 4: Black tax refers to financial burden or responsibility borne by
- 4:01Speaker 4: those who have attained a level of success in the
- 4:03Speaker 4: family who provide support to less financially mature or secure
- 4:10Speaker 4: family members.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Okay?
- 4:16Speaker 4: But unfortunately, black tax can be a crab culture. I'm
- 4:22Speaker 4: going to explain what that means.
- 4:25Speaker 3: So there is a concept. it's a culture exhibited by crabs.
- 4:36Speaker 4: If you want to cage crabs, you don't have to
- 4:41Speaker 4: cover anything you are putting them in.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Just put more than one. Okay?
- 4:48Speaker 4: The other one will never allow the one we're trying
- 4:49Speaker 4: to climb, climb out. So what is happening is that
- 4:57Speaker 4: Somebody's trying to break free financially and become at least
- 5:02Speaker 4: the first of a kind in the family who we
- 5:07Speaker 4: can say broke free. But the taxes, the responsibilities, the people.
- 5:16Speaker 3: And at the end of the day, if there's no wisdom,
- 5:18Speaker 3: everybody will remain at the same level.
- 5:22Speaker 4: Okay?
- 5:22Speaker 3: Okay? Generosity is a very, very important subject. It is
- 5:29Speaker 3: very important. Okay? And it is scriptural. And that's where
- 5:33Speaker 3: I'm going to start from. Okay?
- 5:36Speaker 4: Either gives to the poor. The Bible says lend to God.
- 5:39Speaker 4: Whether poor on the street or poor in the family.
- 5:42Speaker 4: When you do that, the Bible says you are lending
- 5:43Speaker 4: to God.
- 5:44Speaker 3: Look at it. Proverbs 19 verse 17. Please turn your
- 5:46Speaker 3: Bibles there.
- 5:47Speaker 4: Proverbs 19 verse 17. Proverbs 19 verse 17. Proverbs 19,
- 5:58Speaker 4: 17 says, He that has pity on the poor lends
- 6:01Speaker 4: to the Lord, and that.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Which is given will he pay again. Okay?
- 6:08Speaker 4: He who has pity on the poor lends to God.
- 6:12Speaker 4: And then God is going to repay him.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Is that okay now?
- 6:16Speaker 4: I want to show you another translation that brings this
- 6:19Speaker 4: home more.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Okay?
- 6:23Speaker 4: Um.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Yes.
- 6:31Speaker 4: Being kind to the poor is lending to the Lord.
- 6:34Speaker 4: He will reward you for what you have done. Mercy
- 6:40Speaker 4: translation says, mercy to the needy is a loan to God.
- 6:46Speaker 3: And God pays back those loans in full. So, very powerful. Okay?
- 6:54Speaker 3: God wants us to give. Say it, God wants us
- 6:56Speaker 3: to give. Come on, say it again. God wants us
- 6:59Speaker 3: to give He wants us to be givers. He wants
- 7:03Speaker 3: us to take care of the poor. Alright? Very important.
- 7:07Speaker 3: God wants us to give. In fact, it's more rewarding
- 7:11Speaker 3: when we give. Alright? Than when we receive. Is that
- 7:15Speaker 3: okay now?
- 7:17Speaker 4: It is more rewarding when we give than when we receive.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Okay? So that's the balance. Giving is scriptural. It is
- 7:26Speaker 3: unscriptural giving.
- 7:28Speaker 4: For God to bless you and you shut your bowels
- 7:30Speaker 4: of compassion from your family.
- 7:32Speaker 3: This is unscriptural.
- 7:34Speaker 4: The Bible says that a man that cannot provide for
- 7:36Speaker 4: his household is worse than an infidel.
- 7:39Speaker 3: So, listen, listen. I'm trying to give you a balance
- 7:42Speaker 3: before I start.
- 7:44Speaker 4: As God lifts you, as God changes your level, you
- 7:48Speaker 4: must be interested in flowing out.
- 7:52Speaker 3: You must be interested in being a sukkah. You must
- 7:59Speaker 3: understand that.
- 8:00Speaker 4: That through your life, because of your existence, the level
- 8:05Speaker 4: of struggle and hardship in the family will be at
- 8:09Speaker 4: least minimized.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Okay? Very important.
- 8:14Speaker 4: So what is lacking in most cases is the wisdom
- 8:17Speaker 4: and the balance to go about this.
- 8:21Speaker 3: If not, we are going to have the crab system.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Let me give you an illustration.
- 8:28Speaker 4: One day some set of people went to the swimming
- 8:30Speaker 4: pool to swim.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Okay? And the.
- 8:36Speaker 4: Biggest guy there has been boasting inside the car. When
- 8:40Speaker 4: I get to the swimming pool and say, me, I
- 8:43Speaker 4: did swim.
- 8:44Speaker 3: I'm like fish. I can swim.
- 8:46Speaker 4: He said, I've swam one kilometer. So when I get there,
- 8:50Speaker 4: how many feet deep is the swimming pool? They say, ah,
- 8:54Speaker 4: go Johnny, go Johnny, go. He got there, removed his shirt,
- 8:59Speaker 4: jumped inside the water. The girl started seeing bubbles. They
- 9:04Speaker 4: were not seeing him. Where is this guy? Where is
- 9:06Speaker 4: this guy? Alright, so another guy jumped in to save him.
- 9:11Speaker 4: Unfortunately for the guy that jumped in to save him,
- 9:15Speaker 4: he was not as big as the person he was
- 9:17Speaker 4: trying to save. So the moment he tried to lead
- 9:20Speaker 4: that person out of panic, that one held him down.
- 9:25Speaker 4: it took more than four lifeguards to come and then
- 9:28Speaker 4: bring the boat of them. If not, both the savior
- 9:32Speaker 4: and the person they are trying to save would have drowned.
- 9:37Speaker 4: So what is happening is that people don't wait to
- 9:39Speaker 4: attain a level of strength before they jump into responsibilities
- 9:42Speaker 4: and they die there.
- 9:45Speaker 3: That's what happens. Okay?
- 9:48Speaker 4: They fail to understand that that it takes maturity financially
- 9:54Speaker 4: to remain a giver.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Okay?
- 10:02Speaker 4: If your finance is built on emotions, you are going
- 10:05Speaker 4: to be very poor. Because in this life, problems, no,
- 10:09Speaker 4: they finish. They can't finish. In fact, a few years ago,
- 10:15Speaker 4: our NGO.
- 10:18Speaker 3: We had this award program where we were.
- 10:23Speaker 4: Recognizing different NGOs doing similar things in the country.
- 10:29Speaker 3: And we invited one of my brothers who is now
- 10:32Speaker 3: in America around.
- 10:33Speaker 4: A powerful NGO. And the first statement he made shook me.
- 10:39Speaker 4: He said, this is what I'm going to say as
- 10:40Speaker 4: I receive this award. You can't do everything. You can't
- 10:45Speaker 4: do everything. I've been on the street. I know the
- 10:49Speaker 4: language of the street. I know what's going on around.
- 10:52Speaker 4: I've been with people in different situations and different conditions.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Okay? Let me give you one illustration. I remember years back,
- 11:01Speaker 3: one of our members was sick. Then at Lefebvre.
- 11:06Speaker 4: So I received a call. I was told, she's not
- 11:09Speaker 4: feeling fine. She's been rushed to the hospital. So I
- 11:11Speaker 4: called those who were there.
- 11:13Speaker 3: I said... What's happening? Are they treating? I said yes.
- 11:18Speaker 4: Let them do everything they have to do. Just let
- 11:20Speaker 4: us know if there's any challenge. While we were talking,
- 11:23Speaker 4: I heard a woman crying in the background. She was
- 11:28Speaker 4: crying and wailing. I said, confirm, what's happening with that woman?
- 11:31Speaker 4: She said, her son is dying. They brought the son
- 11:34Speaker 4: to the hospital trying to admit the son. But the
- 11:37Speaker 4: doctors won't take the boy because they can't pay any deposit.
- 11:40Speaker 4: And the boy is gasping. I said, tell the doctors
- 11:43Speaker 4: to take in that boy Let me know the amount
- 11:47Speaker 4: I have to pay. I'm going to send in the money.
- 11:48Speaker 4: How much do we have to deposit? He said, 10,000. 10,000?
- 11:52Speaker 3: Tell them to take over the case now. Now!
- 11:55Speaker 4: As they informed the woman, there's a pastor willing to
- 11:57Speaker 4: pay for your child. You know what she said?
- 11:58Speaker 3: She said, you should not bother. You should bring the money.
- 12:03Speaker 3: I was shocked. Your son is dying. You were crying.
- 12:09Speaker 3: I offered to help. Now, the money came. You said,
- 12:14Speaker 3: The pastor should just give you the money that you
- 12:16Speaker 3: know what to do.
- 12:19Speaker 4: What I'm trying to tell you is that poor money
- 12:22Speaker 4: is not the need of every poor people.
- 12:30Speaker 3: If you think you can solve.
- 12:31Speaker 4: Poverty problem by throwing money around, you don't know anything yourself.
- 12:37Speaker 4: People are poor not first because they lack. They are
- 12:40Speaker 4: poor because there's a knowledge gap. Let me show you scriptures.
- 12:45Speaker 4: Matthew chapter, no, Luke 4, 18. Luke 4 from verse 18.
- 12:51Speaker 4: There's an insight from this scripture that you might need
- 12:53Speaker 4: to see. And then we're going to go to Proverbs
- 12:59Speaker 4: chapter number 24.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Luke 4, 18.
- 13:05Speaker 4: Jesus speaking, they say, the spirit of the Lord is
- 13:07Speaker 4: upon me because he has anointed me to preach the
- 13:09Speaker 4: gospel to the poor. you think that if God's spirit
- 13:14Speaker 4: is upon you it should be upon you to give
- 13:17Speaker 4: people what they need how do you tell me that
- 13:20Speaker 4: good news is what poor people need I said that's
- 13:22Speaker 4: what I've observed they need there's an information that is
- 13:26Speaker 4: missing and that's the first thing.
- 13:31Speaker 3: Let me ask you a question so you can know
- 13:32Speaker 3: you need to learn.
- 13:33Speaker 4: This morning since the day you've been throwing money around
- 13:35Speaker 4: who have you brought out of poverty.
- 13:40Speaker 3: If none Then there's something you don't know. Okay? There's
- 13:45Speaker 3: something you don't know. Give me Proverbs chapter number 24.
- 13:49Speaker 3: Proverbs 24. I'm going to show you some things. Are
- 13:55Speaker 3: you with me? Now, let me start reading from verse 3.
- 13:58Speaker 4: Proverbs 24 from verse 3 says, True wisdom is an
- 14:01Speaker 4: house built and by understanding it is what?
- 14:03Speaker 3: Established.
- 14:04Speaker 4: True knowledge shall the chambers be filled with precious and
- 14:09Speaker 4: pleasant what?
- 14:10Speaker 3: Riches.
- 14:11Speaker 4: Anywhere there is wealth, anywhere there is abundance, there is
- 14:15Speaker 4: more than opportunity. There is actually knowledge. If you want
- 14:23Speaker 4: to have money, you want to walk in abundance, it
- 14:27Speaker 4: doesn't answer to fasting and prayer alone.
- 14:30Speaker 3: It answers to a body of knowledge also. Okay? That's
- 14:37Speaker 3: the truth.
- 14:40Speaker 4: Our curriculum for financial abundance is wrong. If I call
- 14:46Speaker 4: for a prayer meeting, and I call it breakthrough moment,
- 14:52Speaker 4: apologies if I say no, I don't know anybody who
- 14:54Speaker 4: hosts that kind of meeting, and I say breakthrough moment
- 14:56Speaker 4: is on Mondays between 8 and 10 a.m.
- 15:00Speaker 3: That self-sabotage.
- 15:03Speaker 4: Somebody will either have to be sacked from place of
- 15:05Speaker 4: work to make it to that meeting. Or will have
- 15:08Speaker 4: to be jobless. Do you understand what I'm saying? Because
- 15:14Speaker 4: in Africa, we are sentimental about many things. In fact,
- 15:17Speaker 4: I believe one of the problems we have is that
- 15:20Speaker 4: the things that are our responsibility, we have put it
- 15:24Speaker 4: on God. So for instance, yesterday I was following a
- 15:27Speaker 4: program a man saw his girl, his daughter, about I
- 15:36Speaker 4: think either 14 or 16 year old daughter with a
- 15:41Speaker 4: boy and they were hugging each other. When he saw her,
- 15:44Speaker 4: he called the girl inside and beat the girl so
- 15:47Speaker 4: much so the following morning she died. When they were
- 15:54Speaker 4: asking him, what have you done? You know what he said?
- 15:58Speaker 4: He said, I believe God gives and God takes. It's
- 16:07Speaker 4: our culture. We don't take responsibility.
- 16:11Speaker 3: Okay?
- 16:13Speaker 4: If we're running service, the gen goes off. We say
- 16:18Speaker 4: the devil knows what we're about to say is powerful.
- 16:20Speaker 4: That's why he's offing that gen. The gen is actually
- 16:23Speaker 4: going off either because there's no fuel or it's just one.
- 16:28Speaker 4: That devil is activated through lack.
- 16:33Speaker 3: Okay?
- 16:34Speaker 4: That's the idea. Somebody is living in a dangerous environment.
- 16:41Speaker 4: Androbras come. And then they kill the person. God did
- 16:45Speaker 4: not take him. There is no money to get a
- 16:48Speaker 4: gated place.
- 16:49Speaker 3: First and foremost.
- 16:52Speaker 4: If we understand that this is the way life works,
- 16:54Speaker 4: then we will take responsibility. And then we will change
- 16:57Speaker 4: our outcomes. Do you understand what I'm saying? Hannah said,
- 17:04Speaker 4: God has restrained me from having a child.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Was it God? When you read the story of Hannah,
- 17:10Speaker 3: was it God that kept her from having a child?
- 17:11Speaker 3: It wasn't God.
- 17:14Speaker 4: Actually, in those days and times, they were not exposed
- 17:17Speaker 4: to many of the medical advancements we're exposed to now.
- 17:21Speaker 4: Did you ever see the Bible diagnose anybody's medical condition?
- 17:26Speaker 3: If you die, just die. Say, God took him.
- 17:31Speaker 4: When the man said that he knows that God gives
- 17:34Speaker 4: and God takes, I.
- 17:36Speaker 3: Said, that's it. It's the same thing. It's everywhere. It's everywhere.
- 17:43Speaker 4: When I was in Genesis 1, I changed my result
- 17:45Speaker 4: from 33 to 3. I just cancelled one thing. When
- 17:51Speaker 4: my father beat me, I said it was the devil.
- 17:55Speaker 4: And many African children have become irresponsible because they know
- 17:58Speaker 4: that it doesn't matter their level of irresponsibility. When the
- 18:01Speaker 4: parents go to meet a prophet, the prophet will say,
- 18:03Speaker 4: it's the devil. That is some spirit. They are trying
- 18:07Speaker 4: to make him do this. And this is somebody who
- 18:11Speaker 4: is irresponsible.
- 18:13Speaker 3: He is in charge. Everybody has offered to help him.
- 18:16Speaker 3: He will drink with the money. But what will we say?
- 18:19Speaker 3: It's the devil. It's Batu. It's family Batu. It's family battle.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Family battle bought Gouda for him. Bought Igbo for him.
- 18:29Speaker 3: Family battle. It's a wrong thing, sir. Okay?
- 18:36Speaker 4: Do you understand what I'm saying? It's a wrong ideology.
- 18:39Speaker 4: And I want us to get that right. Are you
- 18:42Speaker 4: following what I'm teaching? Or I've left you somewhere?
- 18:49Speaker 3: Anywhere there's riches and abundance, Bible says it is through what? Knowledge.
- 18:52Speaker 3: By knowledge shall the chambers be filled. By knowledge.
- 18:58Speaker 4: So one time, my younger brother came to stay with me.
- 19:00Speaker 4: He said, your younger brother needs to come and stay
- 19:02Speaker 4: with you for Waeke. I said, no problem. So he came,
- 19:06Speaker 4: paid for his Waeke, paid for the lessons, did everything
- 19:10Speaker 4: in the house. So when we were done, he said,
- 19:13Speaker 4: I want to write jam. I need money for jam.
- 19:16Speaker 4: I said, ah, Not that fast. I said, money for
- 19:21Speaker 4: jam is available, but this is what we are going
- 19:22Speaker 4: to do. You are going to lend something. What do
- 19:27Speaker 4: you want to lend? He said, he likes fashion designing.
- 19:30Speaker 3: I said, good. I will pay for that. Lend it
- 19:33Speaker 3: for a year. Then pay for your jam fee yourself.
- 19:37Speaker 4: So he lent it, paid for his jam fee, and
- 19:40Speaker 4: paid his way out of school. Because most times, Your giving,
- 19:48Speaker 4: your generosity has become tremendous.
- 19:52Speaker 3: And you don't know.
- 19:53Speaker 4: That you are helping people become irresponsible. So let me
- 19:56Speaker 4: give you another illustration.
- 19:59Speaker 3: There was a case. And I knew the case wouldn't
- 20:02Speaker 3: end well. I was angry. Some boys were dancing. Chicken
- 20:06Speaker 3: in public. Chicken in public. They paid you as security
- 20:10Speaker 3: guys dancing. You understand what I'm saying? They sacked them. Nigerians.
- 20:20Speaker 4: Because those boys, I will sponsor you. I will give
- 20:25Speaker 4: you a job. How do we reward the responsibility? And
- 20:34Speaker 4: then finally, we offered to take them to Turkey. Didn't
- 20:39Speaker 4: get them born again. Have no understanding about what Christianity
- 20:45Speaker 4: is and it's a church that is sponsoring them.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Nothing.
- 20:51Speaker 4: They were going to Turkey and were clubbing. And were
- 20:54Speaker 4: calling the sponsors out. What did you expect?
- 20:58Speaker 3: They were not doing the right things before you gave
- 20:59Speaker 3: to them. So listen to this.
- 21:01Speaker 4: What I want to show you actually is that sometimes
- 21:02Speaker 4: we are giving not because we are generous.
- 21:05Speaker 3: We are giving for our ego. We are giving for
- 21:06Speaker 3: our ego. Ah, that one. You didn't understand. Let me
- 21:12Speaker 3: make you understand. It's an African thing.
- 21:17Speaker 4: When people are getting married, most times in many African homes,
- 21:20Speaker 4: and parents say, I will support you.
- 21:21Speaker 3: They are not supporting you for you. They are supporting
- 21:23Speaker 3: you for their friends.
- 21:26Speaker 4: And if care is not taken, they will take the
- 21:28Speaker 4: stage and they don't even know who is getting married.
- 21:31Speaker 3: It's ego to prove your size. This is who I am.
- 21:41Speaker 3: And meanwhile, you are not standing on your two legs yet.
- 21:43Speaker 4: Okay?
- 21:45Speaker 3: Do you understand what I'm teaching? Is this simple enough?
- 21:48Speaker 3: I don't want anything complex. We reward rubbish. We promote emotionally.
- 21:59Speaker 3: Bishop T.D. Jake said, in fact, he said, because.
- 22:03Speaker 4: I teach ministers how to understand ministry management, structure, and
- 22:07Speaker 4: all those things.
- 22:07Speaker 3: I train pastors. And one time I was talking to
- 22:11Speaker 3: Bishop T.D.
- 22:12Speaker 4: Jakes and he said, he said he thinks the problem
- 22:14Speaker 4: of the church is that we are quick to employ,
- 22:16Speaker 4: we are slow to sack. He said, but organizations out
- 22:19Speaker 4: there are slow to employ and quick to sack.
- 22:24Speaker 3: Why? Because both of the things we do, we do
- 22:27Speaker 3: them by emotions.
- 22:29Speaker 4: In fact, one of the reasons why many of our
- 22:31Speaker 4: environment or society can't experience development is because the person
- 22:35Speaker 4: selling paper by the roadside is the younger sister's friend
- 22:38Speaker 4: to the brother or of the governor's wife. And if
- 22:41Speaker 4: they want to, they will call and call. You can't
- 22:44Speaker 4: do anything. Emotions is anti-development. You have to replace it
- 22:51Speaker 4: with wisdom and discretion. I'm not saying don't be emotional.
- 22:54Speaker 4: I'm saying be wise.
- 22:57Speaker 3: Is that okay? And that's why I start with that.
- 22:59Speaker 4: Scripture that God wants us to be givers. It is
- 23:03Speaker 4: very important for us to learn to give. Give. So
- 23:09Speaker 4: you must understand that solving poverty problem is not just
- 23:13Speaker 4: about releasing money. For instance, now look at Nigeria. In
- 23:19Speaker 4: the last administration, we borrowed billions of dollars from World Bank.
- 23:25Speaker 3: Just about two months to the end of the administration.
- 23:29Speaker 3: Billions of dollars.
- 23:30Speaker 4: And what we said we wanted to do with those
- 23:32Speaker 4: billions of dollars is that we would distribute per household.
- 23:39Speaker 3: We are going to share 10,000 households. 20,000 households.
- 23:45Speaker 4: And what we are giving to them is not strong
- 23:48Speaker 4: enough to bring them out of poverty.
- 23:52Speaker 3: Cluelessness.
- 23:55Speaker 4: But sometimes we look at this and say, what are
- 23:56Speaker 4: these guys doing? But you are not doing any better.
- 24:02Speaker 4: You are not doing any better. You are distributing per household. 50,000, 20,000, 10,000
- 24:09Speaker 4: in a way that will make them keep coming back
- 24:15Speaker 4: again and again and again.
- 24:18Speaker 3: That's our problem. We are clueless. We are clueless. Financially,
- 24:24Speaker 3: literacy looks like messy. But they are not the same.
- 24:29Speaker 3: Financially smart, you look messy because you are throwing money around. Meanwhile,
- 24:33Speaker 3: you just don't have plans. Okay?
- 24:36Speaker 4: It's not like you are messy food. After all, there's
- 24:38Speaker 4: no plan. So that's why it looks like you are merciful.
- 24:42Speaker 3: You are planless. You are not kind. Okay? Take it
- 24:49Speaker 3: as a fact. Yes.
- 24:53Speaker 4: So I said black tax refers to financial burden or
- 24:56Speaker 4: responsibility borne by those who have attained a level of
- 24:58Speaker 4: success in the family to provide support for less financially
- 25:01Speaker 4: secure family members. This concept, however, is a black people thing,
- 25:06Speaker 4: just so you understand.
- 25:07Speaker 3: It's an African thing.
- 25:11Speaker 4: In fact, in countries like America and all that, it's
- 25:14Speaker 4: one of the reasons why black people don't succeed like
- 25:17Speaker 4: their contemporaries.
- 25:20Speaker 3: Because that crab system keeps bringing you down into the same.
- 25:23Speaker 4: Bucket, into the same mold. I've always said this, you
- 25:27Speaker 4: cannot solve a problem you're a part of. One way
- 25:31Speaker 4: to be a solution is to first detach yourself then
- 25:34Speaker 4: you can begin to solve. Don't give aid in a
- 25:38Speaker 4: way that you too will soon need aid.
- 25:42Speaker 3: Okay? Do you understand what I'm saying? Alright? If you
- 25:46Speaker 3: are flying, I love this concept very well, very much.
- 25:51Speaker 3: And the air hostess, the air crew, they are giving
- 25:55Speaker 3: you their safety procedures.
- 25:57Speaker 4: They tell you that in case of the pressure drops
- 26:00Speaker 4: and so on and so forth, an oxygen mask will fall.
- 26:03Speaker 4: A bit They said, if you have your child and
- 26:07Speaker 4: you are there, fix your own first. Then fix the child.
- 26:13Speaker 4: And I've been thinking, why? If you fail to fix
- 26:16Speaker 4: your own, you can gas out. Both you and the
- 26:18Speaker 4: child will die. You must understand that. Because I sense
- 26:27Speaker 4: that God is preparing us as his people for a
- 26:30Speaker 4: major season.
- 26:31Speaker 3: And a body of wisdom and orientation is important and needed.
- 26:35Speaker 3: Is that okay now? I said, is that okay? Yes. Okay,
- 26:46Speaker 3: so understand the balance. Generosity is scriptural. Scriptural. God wants
- 26:56Speaker 3: us to give. He wants us to be givers.
- 27:01Speaker 4: He wants us to lend. He wants us to take
- 27:03Speaker 4: care of widows. In fact, James was saying that this
- 27:05Speaker 4: is a religion that God accepts. He said, when we
- 27:08Speaker 4: give to the poor, when we take care of orphans,
- 27:13Speaker 4: I believe that every believer, as God is lifting you,
- 27:16Speaker 4: must have a system of flowing to the less privileged.
- 27:22Speaker 4: To orphans, who are orphans indeed, to the less privileged,
- 27:31Speaker 4: to environment where it is needed. Some people have stopped
- 27:36Speaker 4: giving because they've been defrauded in several locations. You've committed
- 27:43Speaker 4: your entire life to people only to find out they
- 27:46Speaker 4: were using you. Don't shut your bowels of compassion. You
- 27:50Speaker 4: change the people but keep doing what you are doing. Okay? Okay?
- 27:55Speaker 4: There are still genuine people around. There are widows who
- 27:59Speaker 4: are widows indeed.
- 28:01Speaker 3: Yes. There are orphans who are orphans indeed.
- 28:04Speaker 4: There are many pictures flashing in my mind.
- 28:20Speaker 3: You see, what the devil wants to do is that
- 28:23Speaker 3: he wants to get us tired.
- 28:25Speaker 4: I'm frustrated.
- 28:26Speaker 3: I say, you know what? I'm not helping anybody again. No, no, no, no.
- 28:31Speaker 3: What you want to make sure is that you are
- 28:33Speaker 3: doing the right things. Sometimes you see.
- 28:37Speaker 4: People in the hospital who are very sick and can't afford.
- 28:40Speaker 4: Somebody's wife is pregnant about to give birth. Do I
- 28:42Speaker 4: tell people that childbirth is not an emergency? You have
- 28:46Speaker 4: nine months to prepare.
- 28:49Speaker 3: Okay? The one who knows how to impregnate a woman
- 28:52Speaker 3: must also know how to See, if you need money,
- 28:56Speaker 3: you need money. Don't play blame game.
- 28:58Speaker 4: Fingers are not equal. Don't accept to be the short one.
- 29:03Speaker 4: Have I lost you? Nobody should be guilt-tripped for not giving.
- 29:13Speaker 3: What if the person doesn't have? Okay?
- 29:21Speaker 4: One day I had a very scary encounter about giving
- 29:25Speaker 4: One of my friends was going to get married. So
- 29:28Speaker 4: he came around. I said, you know what? I was
- 29:30Speaker 4: to be his best man. So I said, don't worry
- 29:32Speaker 4: about the suit.
- 29:33Speaker 3: I'll just buy it.
- 29:34Speaker 4: Say wow thank you for that i said welcome you
- 29:37Speaker 4: don't worry this i'll just take care of that you
- 29:40Speaker 4: don't worry just buy that and all that then he
- 29:43Speaker 4: just give me another budget again i said i'm not
- 29:47Speaker 4: the only one in your cycle of friends let's tell
- 29:49Speaker 4: the rest he said a statement he said you know
- 29:53Speaker 4: amongst our friends you are the only one that god
- 29:55Speaker 4: has lifted ah if i go with this mentality you
- 29:59Speaker 4: will kill me I am not giving because I have.
- 30:02Speaker 3: I am giving because I have a heart.
- 30:06Speaker 4: And sometimes many people who are receiving don't know that
- 30:09Speaker 4: this person has his own problems.
- 30:12Speaker 3: He just has a heart. Okay?
- 30:16Speaker 4: Sometimes when you give to people, the only thing they
- 30:18Speaker 4: owe you is thanks. T-N-X Very demonic way to respond.
- 30:29Speaker 4: Or you give to people and they use it against you.
- 30:32Speaker 4: And say you are trying to use your money to
- 30:33Speaker 4: control me. Okay. But never shut your bowels of compassion.
- 30:45Speaker 4: Because you give to wrong people.
- 30:47Speaker 3: Is that okay now? There is a balance.
- 30:49Speaker 4: Somebody say there is a balance. Somebody say there is
- 30:52Speaker 4: a balance. Tyler Perry said. When he began to. Break
- 30:57Speaker 4: through financially. The first day I made one round. $ 30, 000.
- 31:00Speaker 4: So at the end of the year, he was broke.
- 31:03Speaker 4: Then the second year, he moved up and made $ 2.
- 31:06Speaker 3: 8 million.
- 31:07Speaker 4: At the end of the year, he was broke. Then again,
- 31:09Speaker 4: the third year, he made about $ 6. 7 million. At the
- 31:12Speaker 4: end of the year, he was still broke. Some kind
- 31:17Speaker 4: of problem knows when money enters your hand. And that's
- 31:20Speaker 4: why you have to plan yourself. I'm not sure I've
- 31:24Speaker 4: discovered that the moment small money start entering, that's when
- 31:29Speaker 4: Some uncles who you don't even know exist. In the
- 31:38Speaker 4: days that things were dry, that street was running you.
- 31:42Speaker 4: You will reach out to them. They always have ready-made story.
- 31:46Speaker 3: Suddenly.
- 31:47Speaker 4: In fact, one time a family member called me and
- 31:50Speaker 4: was talking about his... My own is that if you
- 31:53Speaker 4: want to ask me for money, ask sometime. You can't
- 31:56Speaker 4: take the money and take my time. don't use one
- 31:59Speaker 4: hour to explain, I don't like it. The time is
- 32:02Speaker 4: more expensive. So he took my time, he took my time.
- 32:07Speaker 4: Several times I would press mute, on, mute, on, mute, mute,
- 32:10Speaker 4: and I'm talking mute on, so he can, but the
- 32:12Speaker 4: man is very patient. And that was bad for me.
- 32:15Speaker 4: He was reporting his son who is into Yahoo, blah, blah, blah.
- 32:19Speaker 3: I knew where this matter is going, is that you
- 32:20Speaker 3: want to collect money, no problem.
- 32:23Speaker 4: But I was surprised, that after collecting, he now told me,
- 32:27Speaker 4: He said, I know you are a pastor. He said,
- 32:29Speaker 4: but you know that my son, he can't even be
- 32:31Speaker 4: in charge of your offering. Wow, I've seen things in
- 32:41Speaker 4: this life. Interesting, because in church, people come and throw offerings. Pastor,
- 32:48Speaker 4: take dollars. That's the mindset. And that shows the reason
- 32:52Speaker 4: why he was calling me that he's pastor. They are
- 32:54Speaker 4: dashing their money. You just reported that this boy is
- 32:57Speaker 4: here who is smoking. He said, the boy has the
- 33:00Speaker 4: spirit of God.
- 33:01Speaker 3: He has the spirit of God. Just like that. You
- 33:09Speaker 3: can't do a lot with a lot. You can't. Okay?
- 33:20Speaker 3: I want to bring....
- 33:29Speaker 4: I want to show you a few complications around the
- 33:31Speaker 4: subject of black tax.
- 33:35Speaker 3: Is that okay? Can I show you some complications around
- 33:38Speaker 3: that subject?
- 33:39Speaker 4: Are you sure you want to hear it? Number one,
- 33:47Speaker 4: once you.
- 33:50Speaker 3: Get trapped with bills, Both necessary and unnecessary builds.
- 33:58Speaker 4: You will not be able to build substantially like your colleagues.
- 34:03Speaker 4: You will be left behind. Let this be very clear
- 34:13Speaker 4: in your mind. One person cannot solve family problems.
- 34:19Speaker 3: You can't.
- 34:22Speaker 4: Anybody who tries to become hell shall die, shall die.
- 34:28Speaker 4: You have just one life.
- 34:31Speaker 3: Okay? You can't solve all the problems. Once you... Listen, listen, listen.
- 34:38Speaker 4: Once you... There are very few people that can accept
- 34:43Speaker 4: your generosity and still understand that you are giving because
- 34:47Speaker 4: you care.
- 34:48Speaker 3: Not because you have so much.
- 34:49Speaker 4: 99.99% of people hold you to it. That you are
- 34:54Speaker 4: giving because you have more than enough. It's a scamming system.
- 34:56Speaker 3: So let me explain.
- 34:57Speaker 4: One of the ways you know you're just giving money
- 34:58Speaker 4: to scammers is that you don't give once. Nobody calls
- 35:01Speaker 4: you to scam you and collect money once. So let
- 35:04Speaker 4: me explain. One time, I landed in trouble. I wanted
- 35:07Speaker 4: to make money quickly. So I just got somebody born again. Ah,
- 35:12Speaker 4: I've suffered though.
- 35:14Speaker 3: And I didn't know that this person did not born
- 35:16Speaker 3: again very well. Didn't born again. He didn't enter.
- 35:21Speaker 4: So the person just got access to scam me. Then
- 35:25Speaker 4: he just called and said, Pastor, you know, there's a matter.
- 35:29Speaker 4: I'm importing some goods from America. And then the person
- 35:33Speaker 4: who was to help me package those things, while he
- 35:36Speaker 4: was packaging, the wallet fell inside.
- 35:39Speaker 3: You know, he's now thinking about it again. The wallet
- 35:44Speaker 3: fell inside.
- 35:45Speaker 4: And inside that wallet, the wallet contained, I think, about $ 50, 000, something, $ 1, 000.
- 35:49Speaker 4: And now, the issue is that they have stopped it
- 35:51Speaker 4: at the airport. And they are saying such money cannot
- 35:54Speaker 4: be allowed to pass.
- 35:56Speaker 3: Say, wow.
- 35:57Speaker 4: Say, in fact, the person is saying now that once
- 36:00Speaker 4: we can help him clear it and the money gets
- 36:02Speaker 4: to Nigeria, say, I will give you out of it. Ah!
- 36:05Speaker 3: Interesting. Like how much? In Jesus name. Like $ 10, 000 for helping.
- 36:09Speaker 4: I sat down. I calculated $ 10, 000. I'm going to open this.
- 36:11Speaker 4: I will put this in. I didn't have the money.
- 36:22Speaker 4: I said, how much do you need to clear this good?
- 36:24Speaker 4: They said, for now, for now, there's an emergency. If
- 36:28Speaker 4: you can send 100,000. I didn't have 100,000. I called
- 36:31Speaker 4: somebody I know. Somebody who respects me so much. I said,
- 36:37Speaker 4: can you quickly just give me 100,000? They said, I
- 36:40Speaker 4: don't have that amount. But there's my school fees. They
- 36:43Speaker 4: just gave it to me. I'm not paid.
- 36:45Speaker 3: And I can give 50,000 out of it. I said,
- 36:47Speaker 3: bring it. They said, don't worry. We're going to be rich.
- 36:50Speaker 1: Hmm.
- 36:52Speaker 4: I called somebody else, collected another 50,000, making 100 and
- 36:55Speaker 4: sent to them. Then they called again. I said, the
- 37:00Speaker 4: goods have landed in Nigeria. But now they have to collect.
- 37:04Speaker 3: And you know, this, this, this. And I say, now
- 37:06Speaker 3: we need 250,000. I don't have.
- 37:08Speaker 4: I still have people I can gather again. Gather another 150,000
- 37:12Speaker 4: and send to them. I kept telling them, relax.
- 37:17Speaker 3: Money is coming. Money is coming. Money is coming. i
- 37:23Speaker 3: didn't know one day i just noticed that every time
- 37:28Speaker 3: they call.
- 37:29Speaker 4: Me it's more money more money more money i was
- 37:30Speaker 4: happening so one time they didn't know they have dialed
- 37:33Speaker 4: my number and i picked then the guy who had
- 37:38Speaker 4: been speaking phonetics speaking american english suddenly i didn't hear worry.
- 37:45Speaker 3: Broken english Say, how about that guy, Namaga? He don't pay.
- 37:50Speaker 4: Say, don't mind that guy. We'll go run him. For
- 37:55Speaker 4: over 15 minutes, I was hearing what I was hearing.
- 38:00Speaker 3: I was shaking.
- 38:01Speaker 4: All the vision of the organization I'm going to open
- 38:04Speaker 4: with 10,000, they vanished. I started thinking about how I'm
- 38:09Speaker 4: going to explain.
- 38:11Speaker 3: Say, you go explain, I don't get evidence. Ah! Voila! Hmm.
- 38:18Speaker 4: So, finally when they saw that, I found out that
- 38:23Speaker 4: I've been on the line. They saw how long and
- 38:24Speaker 4: what they've been saying. They caught the call and blocked
- 38:28Speaker 4: my number. Both converts and a convert friend, everybody blocked me. Then,
- 38:34Speaker 4: the people that I borrowed from, now started calling me
- 38:37Speaker 4: for money. One of the church elders now gathered and said,
- 38:43Speaker 4: Pastor Femi, sit down.
- 38:45Speaker 3: We heard you collected money. Ah! That's one of the
- 38:49Speaker 3: worst moments of my life. I paid the money. I
- 38:54Speaker 3: paid the money. What did I even do? Actually, I
- 38:57Speaker 3: know I did many things. You know. So, be careful, sir.
- 39:03Speaker 3: Be careful of offering to do what you.
- 39:08Speaker 4: Can't afford to do. Sometimes, because you two, you have
- 39:12Speaker 4: an agenda. Do you understand what I'm saying? That's one very,
- 39:16Speaker 4: very serious moment.
- 39:17Speaker 3: There are very few people who can deal with the.
- 39:20Speaker 4: Fact that you are giving and respect the fact that
- 39:24Speaker 4: you are only doing because you have a heart? So
- 39:29Speaker 4: let me give you a balance. In giving to people,
- 39:33Speaker 4: never let them have the impression that you have more
- 39:35Speaker 4: than enough. Because sometimes you can be your own enemy.
- 39:40Speaker 3: Okay? I know you are kind. I know you are good.
- 39:43Speaker 4: It is kind people that die first in familism. Their
- 39:49Speaker 4: responsibility kills them.
- 39:50Speaker 3: Without wisdom. Okay. I know you are kind. I know
- 39:55Speaker 3: you are generous. But add wisdom to it. Add wisdom
- 40:02Speaker 3: to it. Okay. So you can be able to build.
- 40:11Speaker 3: Add wisdom. In fact. In fact. I advise I don't
- 40:20Speaker 3: know if it's a worldly advice.
- 40:23Speaker 4: That sometimes it's good to also share your problems with
- 40:26Speaker 4: those who depend on you okay just calculate that by
- 40:30Speaker 4: this time of the month this person will call and they'll.
- 40:33Speaker 3: Call first okay yeah you need wisdom to do life
- 40:46Speaker 3: that's the fact You need wisdom. Okay? You need wisdom.
- 40:56Speaker 3: I've told you what to do. Sometimes you need to call.
- 41:01Speaker 3: Let me ask you a question. If you look at
- 41:03Speaker 3: your life right.
- 41:03Speaker 4: Now, at least five people that you can call and say,
- 41:09Speaker 4: I have a challenge and we listen to you and
- 41:12Speaker 4: give what they have.
- 41:12Speaker 3: Do you have?
- 41:13Speaker 4: Because sometimes people who are givers, we ignore them We
- 41:19Speaker 4: feel they have.
- 41:20Speaker 3: They are strong. We just need them to rot. To
- 41:25Speaker 3: have plants. And it's good to also have givers around
- 41:28Speaker 3: your life.
- 41:28Speaker 4: It's good to also have givers around your life.
- 41:32Speaker 3: Have plants. I want to say something.
- 41:40Speaker 4: Wrong culture in Africa has made it so that everybody
- 41:42Speaker 4: just wants to survive regardless of who goes down.
- 41:49Speaker 3: It's a dysfunctional system.
- 41:51Speaker 4: It has made people move from being loving to having
- 41:55Speaker 4: survival mentality.
- 41:59Speaker 3: Yes. Okay?
- 42:03Speaker 4: If you want to destroy a country, put them in
- 42:09Speaker 4: survival mode. They will kill themselves.
- 42:11Speaker 3: Because everybody will do anything to survive. People will do
- 42:16Speaker 3: anything for food and for water.
- 42:18Speaker 4: That's the case, the dysfunctional case of many homes in Africa.
- 42:25Speaker 4: It got so bad in Israel that mothers began to
- 42:28Speaker 4: eat their children.
- 42:29Speaker 3: That's survival mode.
- 42:35Speaker 4: Sir, ma, you did not start the problem. You can't
- 42:41Speaker 4: end it.
- 42:43Speaker 3: But you can help. And I'm going to show you
- 42:45Speaker 3: how you can help.
- 42:47Speaker 4: In a substantial way that in another couple of years,
- 42:52Speaker 4: you'll be glad.
- 42:53Speaker 3: And let me say this to you. There is a
- 42:54Speaker 3: way you're giving as a man will demonize your wife.
- 43:01Speaker 4: In fact, once you are coming from a dysfunctional background,
- 43:04Speaker 4: one of the things to do as you prepare to
- 43:06Speaker 4: settle down is to begin to cut those excesses. Because
- 43:10Speaker 4: when you have your family and you have to focus
- 43:12Speaker 4: on your family, they will say it is your wife
- 43:14Speaker 4: that has made you so. And the attack will be
- 43:17Speaker 4: on your wife. They say, before you came to his life,
- 43:20Speaker 4: he was doing this, he was doing that.
- 43:22Speaker 3: You see, because you were not smart. You were not
- 43:25Speaker 3: being wise.
- 43:27Speaker 4: Don't destroy the woman God has placed around you. And
- 43:30Speaker 4: everybody thinks he's a witch. So you tell somebody, I'm
- 43:33Speaker 4: going to give you this now, but let me call
- 43:34Speaker 4: my wife. Don't bother calling. What do you want to say?
- 43:39Speaker 4: Everybody say, if you don't give, they say, he wants
- 43:41Speaker 4: to call your wife. So it's the wife that says
- 43:42Speaker 4: she's not giving. One of the things I have to
- 43:48Speaker 4: learn in a hard way after marriage, getting married, is
- 43:53Speaker 4: that I've lived my life.
- 43:57Speaker 3: As my own boss for a long time. So I
- 44:02Speaker 3: say things spontaneously. And my wife many times will just say,
- 44:07Speaker 3: where is that coming from? We've not discussed this one.
- 44:09Speaker 3: I say, ah, it's true. It's true. It's true. It's true.
- 44:13Speaker 4: Or just a few moments. We're going to have four
- 44:17Speaker 4: family members. They'll be with us for two weeks.
- 44:19Speaker 3: How?
- 44:22Speaker 4: One of the worst cases I received years ago. I
- 44:24Speaker 4: can't share any recent case, all right? Because I hold
- 44:27Speaker 4: people's matter confidential. Years back, somebody got married. The husband
- 44:32Speaker 4: and wife, no money. In fact, they moved to one-room apartment.
- 44:38Speaker 4: Listen to what I'm saying. This matter is true life matter.
- 44:41Speaker 4: The father told her on wedding day that two of
- 44:44Speaker 4: her siblings would be moving in with them.
- 44:47Speaker 3: One room apartment.
- 44:52Speaker 4: The ideal thing is that every man should provide for
- 44:55Speaker 4: his own household. That is, parenting will not end until
- 44:58Speaker 4: the children can stand on their own. That is the
- 45:00Speaker 4: scriptural design. This functionality I've made in such a way
- 45:04Speaker 4: that we do it halfway. You continue from there while
- 45:06Speaker 4: you are also doing your own If care is not taken,
- 45:08Speaker 4: you will do your own to halfway. Your children will
- 45:10Speaker 4: continue from there. The pattern will keep going on. Somebody
- 45:13Speaker 4: has to break the cycle.
- 45:16Speaker 3: Okay? Do you understand what I'm saying here? Very important.
- 45:19Speaker 4: So, don't plan to start eating children's food at 50.
- 45:28Speaker 4: Ibu Kwanwo Sika is in her 60s and she's still active. See,
- 45:33Speaker 4: your purpose will keep you healthy and young. lack of
- 45:37Speaker 4: it will make you old. You will envy being called.
- 45:40Speaker 3: Grandpa on time because you want to begin to eat
- 45:43Speaker 3: children's food. That's the literal word we call it. That
- 45:48Speaker 3: translates literally.
- 45:53Speaker 4: Plan to be the kind that even at 70, your
- 45:56Speaker 4: children want to.
- 45:57Speaker 3: Be like you. I'm not trying to insult parents. But
- 46:06Speaker 3: I'm saying as.
- 46:06Speaker 4: Much as we give them the honor, we must recognize
- 46:09Speaker 4: what we must not repeat. One of the best gifts
- 46:16Speaker 4: you can give your children is to make sure that
- 46:17Speaker 4: they don't have to inherit black tax.
- 46:24Speaker 3: Is that clear?
- 46:26Speaker 4: Is that very clear? You must break the cycle. And
- 46:29Speaker 4: you can't break that cycle by throwing money around. I'm
- 46:31Speaker 4: going to show you.
- 46:33Speaker 3: You must break the cycle. You know, I have a
- 46:42Speaker 3: very strong burden.
- 46:45Speaker 4: And I believe one of the strong expressions of my
- 46:47Speaker 4: ministry is to speak to the mailman.
- 46:51Speaker 3: And it's not attack.
- 46:52Speaker 4: I just have a burden for the mailman. And I
- 46:55Speaker 4: can tell you that there's a way to prepare for marriage.
- 46:57Speaker 4: One of it is that don't give yourself to too
- 47:00Speaker 4: much giving.
- 47:01Speaker 3: And tax at home.
- 47:02Speaker 4: Give with wisdom. And do what you can continue. Don't
- 47:08Speaker 4: promise what you can't do.
- 47:11Speaker 3: Okay? Okay?
- 47:12Speaker 4: Give in such a way that you will still be
- 47:13Speaker 4: strong to repeat it is that clear very important so
- 47:17Speaker 4: i'm showing you the complications of black tax number two
- 47:24Speaker 4: many people believe that givers have more than enough that's
- 47:29Speaker 4: why they are giving and the implication of this belief
- 47:32Speaker 4: system is that people will have more bills and responsibilities
- 47:35Speaker 4: responsibilities to your own believing that you have so much
- 47:40Speaker 4: that's why you are giving.
- 47:43Speaker 3: When something is available abundantly, everybody wants to waste it.
- 47:47Speaker 3: That's the culture. Okay? Rain is a gift from God.
- 47:54Speaker 4: Isaiah 55 says that as the rain and the snow
- 47:56Speaker 4: will not return back to heaven, but thy waters the earth.
- 48:00Speaker 3: Rain is a gift.
- 48:01Speaker 4: But that's what we waste the most. I like to
- 48:05Speaker 4: waste because it's abundant. I remember one time in Kano.
- 48:11Speaker 4: Probably precisely 2011 or 2003. I can't remember. No, 2007
- 48:16Speaker 4: or 2003. I can't remember. It was a riot called
- 48:19Speaker 4: Galadima Riot.
- 48:21Speaker 3: In Kano. Okay? So people invaded the market and they
- 48:27Speaker 3: were looting.
- 48:29Speaker 4: Somebody would go to the market and loot 10 cartons
- 48:34Speaker 4: of tomato paste.
- 48:34Speaker 3: What will you do with it? This one will go
- 48:40Speaker 3: and loot. Plenty of yam.
- 48:43Speaker 4: Because once it is available abundantly, we waste it. Okay?
- 48:52Speaker 3: So many givers are creating culture of wastage. Because there's
- 48:57Speaker 3: no plan. There's no plan. I think if Nigeria....
- 49:08Speaker 4: Will do well. There's a financial culture that we need
- 49:12Speaker 4: to study.
- 49:14Speaker 3: And it's a bit close to the Jewish culture. It's
- 49:17Speaker 3: the Igbo system.
- 49:20Speaker 4: There's no, listen, there's no financial system in this country
- 49:24Speaker 4: that has proven a right to leave people out of
- 49:26Speaker 4: poverty like their system. You serve for a certain period
- 49:32Speaker 4: of time. You are taking care. See, that's serving people.
- 49:34Speaker 4: You will serve. Once you are done serving, somebody settles
- 49:39Speaker 4: you And you see that when they settle people, they
- 49:46Speaker 4: stand on their feet. What does that tell us? Paying
- 49:52Speaker 4: money to people who are not doing anything is wastage.
- 49:56Speaker 4: It's wastage. 2,000, 10,000 there.
- 49:59Speaker 3: 10,000.
- 50:00Speaker 4: What are you doing now? When I was your age,
- 50:05Speaker 4: who was I calling? They will never grow to be
- 50:10Speaker 4: mature and responsible.
- 50:14Speaker 3: Because you are not living out of poverty. You are
- 50:15Speaker 3: just throwing money around. Okay? Number three.
- 50:20Speaker 4: Your generosity can be toxic. It is possible you give
- 50:24Speaker 4: because of these three reasons.
- 50:25Speaker 3: Number one, prestige.
- 50:28Speaker 4: Number two, guilt. Number three, compulsion. So people give out
- 50:33Speaker 4: of guilt. In fact, this one is a serious matter.
- 50:37Speaker 4: It's a psychological thing. Where people think that you feel
- 50:41Speaker 4: it is a sin for you to have and somebody
- 50:43Speaker 4: else doesn't have. God is not cheating on them to
- 50:48Speaker 4: bless you. Can I come again with that statement? God
- 50:54Speaker 4: is not cheating on anybody to bless you. Never feel
- 50:58Speaker 4: guilty because you have and somebody else doesn't have. Everybody
- 51:04Speaker 4: should take responsibility for the outcomes they have. Once we
- 51:10Speaker 4: begin from there, we will know how to help each other.
- 51:14Speaker 4: The moment you feel guilty for having, people will guilt
- 51:17Speaker 4: trip you and manipulate you.
- 51:23Speaker 3: Is it because you are the one that God has
- 51:25Speaker 3: blessed now? So you think you... No, no, no, no, no.
- 51:29Speaker 4: Thank God for the blessings of God. But this blessing
- 51:32Speaker 4: came on something I was doing. And the same blessing
- 51:37Speaker 4: available for you.
- 51:39Speaker 3: Something you should be doing.
- 51:39Speaker 4: So you say you want to use money to start
- 51:42Speaker 4: a business. We gave you the money to start a business.
- 51:44Speaker 4: We didn't see the money.
- 51:45Speaker 3: We didn't see the business.
- 51:48Speaker 4: So you said you need money to pay for school fees.
- 51:50Speaker 4: We gave you to pay for the school fees. We
- 51:52Speaker 4: only found out you have reached out to another family
- 51:53Speaker 4: member because you didn't pay for the school fees. You
- 51:56Speaker 4: were hurt with it. You said you need money for
- 51:59Speaker 4: so and so. Every time we give to some people,
- 52:02Speaker 4: you are not using the money for the purpose. Nobody
- 52:07Speaker 4: should feel guilty for another person's outcome. People choose what
- 52:11Speaker 4: they become. People choose what they become. And there are
- 52:15Speaker 4: critical seasons that if people are not serious and they
- 52:17Speaker 4: miss that season, they may struggle for life.
- 52:22Speaker 3: Anyone who has the opportunity to study should study.
- 52:25Speaker 5: The one who has the opportunity to learn something should
- 52:26Speaker 5: learn it. Failing to study and failing to learn something
- 52:30Speaker 5: will make you poor.
- 52:32Speaker 4: Period.
- 52:33Speaker 3: You either have to be in school Or you are
- 52:37Speaker 3: learning something. Learn a business. Learn a trade. Learn something, sir. Okay?
- 52:42Speaker 4: You have an uncle whose wife is telling you they've
- 52:44Speaker 4: not eaten today. What's the job of the uncle? That
- 52:51Speaker 4: statement the wife is saying, is it true? Or they've
- 52:54Speaker 4: just found their father Christmas?
- 53:01Speaker 3: These are issues.
- 53:02Speaker 4: And we have to discuss them. So never feel guilty
- 53:08Speaker 4: because God has blessed you. Never feel guilty because you
- 53:14Speaker 4: have and somebody doesn't have up to you.
- 53:17Speaker 3: It is not your fault if anybody doesn't have. Hello.
- 53:22Speaker 3: Can I say this again? Can I say this again?
- 53:25Speaker 4: It's looking like I'm touching the Africans where it ought now.
- 53:30Speaker 4: I said it is not your fault that you have.
- 53:34Speaker 4: It is not your fault. It is also not your
- 53:36Speaker 4: fault that somebody doesn't have. It's not your fault.
- 53:40Speaker 3: Okay?
- 53:40Speaker 4: Everybody should take responsibility for their outcomes. Then we see
- 53:43Speaker 4: what we can do. Are you following me?
- 53:50Speaker 3: Are you sure?
- 53:53Speaker 4: This guilt is the reason why when you enter a car,
- 53:57Speaker 4: a vehicle, with somebody who is younger to you, you
- 54:00Speaker 4: feel you are under obligation to pay.
- 54:03Speaker 3: Who sent you? Who told you he's my age?
- 54:07Speaker 4: Ah, bro.
- 54:08Speaker 3: Don't pay, don't pay, don't pay. Egmore.
- 54:11Speaker 4: Egmore is broke. He's not going to have money for
- 54:13Speaker 4: food this afternoon. Say, don't worry, don't worry, don't worry.
- 54:16Speaker 3: I got you, I got you. It's your ego. You
- 54:24Speaker 3: are not nice. It's just your ego. When you go
- 54:28Speaker 3: to supermarket, say, don't worry, I will handle the bills.
- 54:33Speaker 3: What's my business? What do I buy? God bless you.
- 54:35Speaker 3: Thank you. See, my own philosophy is, leave me with
- 54:39Speaker 3: my bills. I will leave you with yours. Is that okay?
- 54:41Speaker 4: Let nobody trouble each other. Supermarket, oh, so good to
- 54:45Speaker 4: see you.
- 54:45Speaker 3: How are you doing? Good to see you.
- 54:47Speaker 4: I will not even greet you in a way that
- 54:48Speaker 4: you say, you came to supermarket with your two legs.
- 54:50Speaker 3: You should buy what you know you can afford. True?
- 54:52Speaker 3: So good to see you. God bless you, my friend.
- 54:55Speaker 3: Take care of yourself. See you some other time. Bye-bye. Anyway, Lord,
- 55:00Speaker 3: I have to leave.
- 55:01Speaker 4: Okay? Say, ah, somebody's trying to sell something and say,
- 55:06Speaker 4: I can't afford this. Say, ah, I owe you, sir.
- 55:10Speaker 4: How do you know me? How do you know you
- 55:12Speaker 4: owe me? I have issues I'm dealing with. You say
- 55:16Speaker 4: you owe me. What you are trying to do is
- 55:18Speaker 4: that you are trying to massage my ego. So I
- 55:21Speaker 4: will put money into what I'm not ready for. Do
- 55:26Speaker 4: you understand what I'm saying?
- 55:27Speaker 3: Hmm.
- 55:31Speaker 4: And most times, it is poor people who need to
- 55:33Speaker 4: make statements. When you truly have it, you are not
- 55:36Speaker 4: under pressure to make any statements. It is poor people
- 55:39Speaker 4: that use money they don't have to buy things they
- 55:41Speaker 4: don't need to impress people who don't like them. Somebody
- 55:48Speaker 4: is having sleepless night over the kind of wedding gown
- 55:50Speaker 4: she wants to make. Nobody has told you that. Wedding
- 55:54Speaker 4: gown is once. You can actually rent. There is no problem.
- 55:59Speaker 4: I told people Getting married sleepless night because of reception.
- 56:03Speaker 4: You are about to feed those who are not hungry.
- 56:07Speaker 4: And your wedding is just one out of hundreds they
- 56:09Speaker 4: will attend.
- 56:10Speaker 3: Let them go home. Join together. You want a pastor
- 56:16Speaker 3: that can help you in a way that nobody will
- 56:17Speaker 3: even know.
- 56:19Speaker 4: That they did not eat. I have the strategy. The
- 56:25Speaker 4: fact that you have the money doesn't mean you can
- 56:27Speaker 4: afford everything. Stop killing yourself, sir.
- 56:32Speaker 3: Okay?
- 56:34Speaker 4: Stop killing yourself. I have to prove. December is coming.
- 56:38Speaker 4: We'll go to the village for Christmas. You'll go to
- 56:44Speaker 4: the village. Your colleagues are coming. So you want to
- 56:49Speaker 4: do competition with the money you don't have. January is coming.
- 56:56Speaker 4: January is a long month. Always long.
- 57:00Speaker 3: And he's stubborn.
- 57:01Speaker 4: To be drawing like snail. Once you pass there. Everything
- 57:05Speaker 4: start moving. Start uploading status.
- 57:13Speaker 3: Help your guy. Help your guy. When they do. They
- 57:22Speaker 3: do do him. You don't know. It's amazing. It's amazing.
- 57:32Speaker 3: Look up.
- 57:33Speaker 4: One time I went to an environment I've lived for
- 57:35Speaker 4: about 10 years. So as I was going back, I
- 57:39Speaker 4: was in the car. I discovered that the woman who
- 57:43Speaker 4: was selling La Casera by that same road was still
- 57:47Speaker 4: selling it there. I think the idea of business is,
- 57:55Speaker 4: of all those kind of stressful business, is to walk
- 57:58Speaker 4: your way out of it. I tell people, you don't
- 58:02Speaker 4: make money and just pour back. You are trying to
- 58:07Speaker 4: bail yourself out of it. In fact, if you are
- 58:09Speaker 4: going to build wealth, salary is not the route.
- 58:12Speaker 3: That's the fact. Hello, that's the fact. So, listen to
- 58:17Speaker 3: what I'm saying.
- 58:18Speaker 4: If I say, shout the loudest amen by this time
- 58:20Speaker 4: next year, you'll be the 10th richest man in the world.
- 58:22Speaker 3: Nah, lie.
- 58:23Speaker 4: You will not be. It doesn't come by amen. It
- 58:27Speaker 4: comes with a body of knowledge. So, we pray. But
- 58:30Speaker 4: do you understand what I'm saying? If amen should make
- 58:34Speaker 4: people rich, then we know where we'll find the richest people.
- 58:38Speaker 4: If it's by amen, me too, I'll be at the back.
- 58:41Speaker 4: I'll not even say shout amen. Amen!
- 58:44Speaker 3: As I shout my amen, one million dollars. But I lie.
- 58:54Speaker 4: And if care is not taken, we just like the
- 58:55Speaker 4: amen for what it sounds like. The fact that it
- 58:58Speaker 4: gives us the impression that we are building a powerful ministry.
- 59:01Speaker 4: Our amen is shaking everywhere. Have I lost you, sir?
- 59:10Speaker 4: are you tired of me i can stop here and
- 59:12Speaker 4: just wrap up are you sure okay so i'm showing
- 59:19Speaker 4: you the what the complications number four you are not
- 59:27Speaker 4: else i die God introduced himself to Abraham as El Shaddai.
- 59:32Speaker 3: And you are not.
- 59:34Speaker 4: You are a person. You are one human being that
- 59:38Speaker 4: has breath in the nostrils. If you die today, the
- 59:44Speaker 4: person that loves you the most will cry. Those who
- 59:47Speaker 4: love you will cry. Cry a couple of weeks. The
- 59:52Speaker 4: one who was not eating the first day, the second,
- 59:55Speaker 4: the third day, I can manage, go start.
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: Start from there. And they start eating rice. And eventually
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: they start saying, so this person is gone. Yes, gone.
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: They go back to their normal life. Don't kill yourself.
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: Don't die. It's an advice.
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: Don't die.
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: You are more profitable alive. Don't die.
- 1:00:26Speaker 4: When was the last time you checked your BP? You
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: are young, but your blood pressure is rising because you
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: are carrying too much load.
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: Don't die.
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: In fact, you are not even taking care of yourself.
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: You are always making the money. You look like a servant.
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: You can't buy the food you need. Take care of yourself.
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: Some of this sickness you are having is because you
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: are not eating good food. It's the wickedness you are
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: doing to yourself. Gary has wanted to kill you. Say,
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: I like Gary.
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: It's poverty. You don't like Gary. You're only broke. Period.
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: But we know some rich people who also like Gary.
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: Shut up there. The defender of the poor. There are
- 1:01:14Speaker 4: many things you will discover you like that you don't
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: know yet.
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: Okay? That's the truth.
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: You like the barber that will handle your head and
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: the one who will do it well, you see, because
- 1:01:26Speaker 4: this one is cheap. But have you discovered that you
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: now struggle to get good things that you need? You
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: feel guilty when you get them or you feel cool
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: when you throw the money out. It's a sign that
- 1:01:42Speaker 4: something's already wrong. I'm not saying you should become self-absorbed
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: and then begin to live for yourself alone, but I'm
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: saying be balanced.
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: Okay? Okay? The balance.
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: Dear men that like to give, understand that your wife
- 1:01:58Speaker 4: too have need.
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: Okay?
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: That thing you are throwing out, if you give it
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: to your wife too, there will be more peace in
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: the home. Some people are not generous to their immediate families.
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: They are Mr.
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: Nice Guy everywhere. But the wife is confused. Everybody is
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: sharing testimony of your generosity. But the wife cannot attest
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: to it.
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: Why?
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: Your children, their clothes are torn, everything tattered. But you
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: have more than enough. You have become an infidel. A
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: man who can't provide for his own household.
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: That's scripture. That's scripture. Okay? That's scripture.
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: Sometimes you love people, but you still have to let
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: them know that we are not going to drown together.
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: And I'm not going to change my strategy. Is that
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: okay now?
- 1:02:48Speaker 4: Um... I mean, I mentioned that young boy that died,
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: the musician. The moment he died, the day of the burial,
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: family member already fighting over a house and car. Survivor mode.
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: When people enter that mode, money becomes more important than life. Yes.
- 1:03:18Speaker 4: Number five, understand that if you die today, which I've mentioned,
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: everybody will survive. So understand that you are only taking
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: care of those challenges because you are alive.
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: Okay? It is not that deep. If you were not there,
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: it would be done. Hello.
- 1:03:34Speaker 4: I said if you were not there, it would be done.
- 1:03:37Speaker 4: It was being done before you became prosperous. The same
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: way it was being done, it can be done.
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: It's not that deep. it's not that deep. Okay? Do
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: what you have to do. I will show you the balance.
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: But you must understand that. Okay? Number six.
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: Sometimes you need to understand that the money you are
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: throwing around is not a sign of generosity necessarily. It
- 1:04:15Speaker 4: is a sign of financial illiteracy. Anything you have no
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: plan for can fly.
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: Okay? It is not a sign of generosity. It is
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: a sign of what? Financial what? Illiteracy. Yeah. Do you
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: have a budget system? A budgetary system? Do you have plans?
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: What's your financial goal for the next five years? What
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: are you working at? What are you working towards? What
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: are you building? Okay?
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: What are you building? Do you have investment? Do you
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: have savings? Or we just think everything will answer by amen.
- 1:04:57Speaker 4: It won't work.
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: It won't work.
- 1:05:00Speaker 4: Do you have investment? Do you have savings? What are
- 1:05:03Speaker 4: you building? What's your financial policy? That is what.
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: Determines where money goes.
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: And sometimes to be a good manager of your money,
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: you can't be the one in charge. The one who
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: is too emotional cannot be the one managing it.
- 1:05:29Speaker 3: You need structure beyond you.
- 1:05:30Speaker 4: You need some account that even you can't access. So
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: that the day you want to become foolish, the fact
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: that you can't access it will bite off. And you'll
- 1:05:39Speaker 4: discover that that problem that that person wants to kill
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: you with will still be solved without you.
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: That's the truth. You can't have access to the place
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: where you are putting your life savings.
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: Then you go and break every time. When you started
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: this year, we saw what you wrote in your financial plan.
- 1:05:57Speaker 4: Biggie banking, whatever system you plan to use. You broke
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: it more than five times. Still now you have nothing. See,
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: I'm going to have a system and next year it's starting.
- 1:06:07Speaker 4: You have started again. You are not still listening. You
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: have started again. By next year, by the grace of God,
- 1:06:12Speaker 4: I'm going to.
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: You have not changed your orientation.
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: By December, now you start seeing pictures flying around. So
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: I've been saving this money in my piggy bank, broke it,
- 1:06:24Speaker 4: so I can't believe what I'm seeing here.
- 1:06:25Speaker 3: So I say, ah, motivated. Next year I'll do the
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: same thing.
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: But it's this mindset. You've broken it. You've eaten it.
- 1:06:34Speaker 4: Anytime you go to eat in a.
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: Restaurant, I say, serve them round. Serve them round. It's
- 1:06:40Speaker 3: that nice guy. Anti-kindness. Your angels are shaking their head.
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: Because they know that you are not wise. What's the balance?
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: What's the balance? Let's look up everybody. Let me ask
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: you a question. How many times have you ever had
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: to cry to God for oxygen? Okay, hold on.
- 1:07:14Speaker 4: How many times have you ever had to cry to
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: God For mangoes. Before mango season will come. How many
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: times have we ever had to pray for what's your
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: best fruit?
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: Watermelon. How many times have we ever had to pray, God,
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: we want watermelon season.
- 1:07:32Speaker 4: God designed everything in such a way that there will
- 1:07:37Speaker 4: be a cycle of consistent production.
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: Look up, there's a wisdom there. Okay?
- 1:07:45Speaker 4: So, God planted trees in the garden and beyond the garden.
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: The trees will have fruit. The fruit will have seeds.
- 1:07:56Speaker 4: And when you eat the fruit, even if you throw
- 1:07:59Speaker 4: away the seeds, they will grow. Everything that God made,
- 1:08:04Speaker 4: he gave them the ability to reproduce themselves.
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: So what do you want to do? You want to
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: learn from God. Don't give bread. Give seeds. That is,
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: look up. Oh, what do you need? Say, my rent.
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: My rent. Take this rent now.
- 1:08:23Speaker 4: Okay, another time.
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: What do you need? Rental. Take this rent. That's bread. Come,
- 1:08:28Speaker 3: let's talk. What do you want to do with your life? Say,
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: I've been trying to do this and all that. Okay,
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: I'm going to support that business. All right?
- 1:08:38Speaker 4: If you are as smart as you claim to be,
- 1:08:40Speaker 4: you should be able to make money from that business.
- 1:08:43Speaker 4: And that becomes recurrent order of production activity. So that
- 1:08:47Speaker 4: you will never have to have rent as a prayer point.
- 1:08:53Speaker 4: The issue is that many times what you are throwing
- 1:08:55Speaker 4: around is still enough to help this person stay sustained.
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: but you are not thinking production you are thinking consumption
- 1:09:06Speaker 4: that's the problem please sit down so when the bible
- 1:09:11Speaker 4: says that God finished everything he rested that rest is
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: not from tiredness that rest is what you have When
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: there are principles in charge.
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: That's what you have. If you go and climb. 20
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: building store. And jump. And in between where you have jumped.
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: And hitting the ground. You say father I shall not die.
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: You have violated the principle. You won't have rest. You
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: will kill yourself. Okay.
- 1:09:43Speaker 4: That's very very important. So rest is what you have.
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: When there is a body of wisdom in charge.
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: God are the rest.
- 1:09:50Speaker 4: Because you will never have to worry. About the rat
- 1:09:54Speaker 4: giving birth. Never have to worry about the lion giving birth.
- 1:09:57Speaker 4: You will never have to worry about how they will eat.
- 1:09:59Speaker 4: There is a balanced cycle.
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: Create systems. That gives you rest. Is it too deep
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: what I am saying? Is it too deep?
- 1:10:14Speaker 4: Create systems.
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: Create systems. Okay? Every time mommy, daddy want this money,
- 1:10:21Speaker 3: want that. Okay, say, okay. That's your business. How is
- 1:10:24Speaker 3: it going? Say it's fine. Okay.
- 1:10:25Speaker 4: Let me just put this money inside so that you
- 1:10:28Speaker 4: can take it off from there.
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: Period. You are versed. Seed.
- 1:10:35Speaker 4: Any farmer that eats the fruit and throws away the
- 1:10:37Speaker 4: seed has thrown away the future.
- 1:10:41Speaker 3: Do you understand what I am saying?
- 1:10:44Speaker 4: And you must understand that what I am saying is
- 1:10:45Speaker 4: even at a level. There is a level where you
- 1:10:48Speaker 4: cannot afford to even give anybody's seat yet.
- 1:10:51Speaker 3: Even you need to be strong first. You are not standing.
- 1:10:57Speaker 3: Stand first. Then you can now extend helping hand. But
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: you are not standing. You will drown. You will drown.
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: You will drown.
- 1:11:09Speaker 4: You can even miss your future partner. You can miss
- 1:11:11Speaker 4: your future partner like that. But once they see you
- 1:11:13Speaker 4: and look at the budget around your life, they run.
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: Hmm.
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: They can look at you and say, the way this
- 1:11:20Speaker 4: guy is thinking. So these ones, they are my load now. See,
- 1:11:24Speaker 4: do say anything you want to say. Not everybody will cope.
- 1:11:29Speaker 4: And people have the right to run.
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: Okay? People have the right to run. True or not true?
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: When they see that this thing can't work, they have
- 1:11:39Speaker 4: the right to run and.
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: Just avoid you.
- 1:11:43Speaker 4: Just small conversation they are having now. that let's go
- 1:11:48Speaker 4: on a date and then just get something nice. You
- 1:11:53Speaker 4: have brought three friends. And then, ah, what is that look?
- 1:11:57Speaker 4: He said, won't you buy take away for my friends? Ah,
- 1:12:01Speaker 4: oh boy, pack your shoes. If you like, do Mr.
- 1:12:07Speaker 3: Nice Guy. Don't worry, I'm capable, Mr. Capable. I'm going
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: to chest everything. He goes on then. Okay?
- 1:12:22Speaker 4: Don't give in such a way that you will fuel
- 1:12:24Speaker 4: people's irresponsibility. What you want to do is that you
- 1:12:28Speaker 4: want to make sure you are not the only one
- 1:12:30Speaker 4: doing this. So, let me help you so you can
- 1:12:34Speaker 4: also be strong, then we can be two, helping the rest.
- 1:12:37Speaker 4: Then the both of us will pick one more again,
- 1:12:39Speaker 4: help you become strong, and then you guys can. At
- 1:12:42Speaker 4: some point, I can focus on the things I'm doing,
- 1:12:44Speaker 4: you guys can do those stuff and help yourselves. creating
- 1:12:49Speaker 4: a network that you have broken the patterns of dysfunctionality.
- 1:12:56Speaker 3: Okay? Now, nobody should deceive anybody with, I'm in school,
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: I don't have money. No.
- 1:13:01Speaker 4: Your mates are learning tech programs in school. You can
- 1:13:07Speaker 4: learn graphics designing and make money from your house. There
- 1:13:14Speaker 4: are freelancers, those who write online. And I have people
- 1:13:18Speaker 4: who are making thousands of Naira from writing.
- 1:13:23Speaker 3: You can write. Why are you not trying to do
- 1:13:27Speaker 3: anything I just want me to do? No, you can't write.
- 1:13:29Speaker 3: I will recommend you learn. People can learn many things.
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: You can learn many things. You can learn photography. Alright?
- 1:13:44Speaker 4: I have one of my boys, the photographer. Sometimes he
- 1:13:47Speaker 4: comes around, travel different places to go.
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: And take people's pictures. Collect hundreds of thousands. Okay?
- 1:13:53Speaker 4: When he came, he was looking for admission. I said,
- 1:13:55Speaker 4: while you are waiting for this admission, why should you
- 1:13:57Speaker 4: be waiting?
- 1:13:59Speaker 3: Start learning something.
- 1:14:01Speaker 4: Then I called up my brothers, one of my friends
- 1:14:02Speaker 4: who is a good photographer. I said, please, I want
- 1:14:04Speaker 4: one of my boys to come and learn from you.
- 1:14:05Speaker 4: He said, no problem.
- 1:14:06Speaker 3: Went there, learned. It came amazing.
- 1:14:09Speaker 5: Start your way from there. Don't sit there and say, God,
- 1:14:12Speaker 5: change my story. Change your own story. You have the
- 1:14:15Speaker 5: pen in your hands. Rewrite it.
- 1:14:20Speaker 4: God is not coming down from heaven to help anybody.
- 1:14:22Speaker 4: He has given you all that pertains to life and godliness.
- 1:14:25Speaker 3: Walk with it. And that's why we think God will
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: come and change Nigeria. He will not.
- 1:14:31Speaker 4: Nigeria by nigerians the day you become tired you break
- 1:14:34Speaker 4: their yoke from your neck you are not tired yet
- 1:14:36Speaker 4: it has not gotten to boiling point forget about any
- 1:14:39Speaker 4: prophecy about nigeria it no go walk no listen to
- 1:14:42Speaker 4: what i'm saying prophecies are powerful but no prophecy fulfills
- 1:14:45Speaker 4: itself people fulfill it and sometimes those who don't even
- 1:14:48Speaker 4: know the prophecy that fulfills it just walking by what
- 1:14:52Speaker 4: is right because those who know it think it will
- 1:14:54Speaker 4: happen by itself it will not it will not happen
- 1:14:57Speaker 4: by itself So don't create a system where you have
- 1:15:00Speaker 4: helped people to be irresponsible.
- 1:15:04Speaker 3: Anybody can learn. Once you can read and write now,
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: you can make money. You can make money. Once you
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: can read and write, you can make money.
- 1:15:13Speaker 4: You say, I don't... Because mommy is no more.
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: I know you are not planning to go and join
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: her there. Walk. If you are hungry, I will kill you. Walk. Hunger.
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: I'm telling you.
- 1:15:29Speaker 4: People go to America, walk in McDonald's, walk in all those.
- 1:15:31Speaker 4: There's nothing stopping you from starting a chicken republic here.
- 1:15:34Speaker 4: It's a replica of McDonald's.
- 1:15:37Speaker 3: There's nothing stopping you. Start from, I sold Indomie by
- 1:15:40Speaker 3: the roadside, sir. I sold noodles with apron. With tie.
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: There are still places I go today where they see me.
- 1:15:50Speaker 3: Uncle Mathematics. I taught math. Ah.
- 1:15:57Speaker 4: One time I thought that the way to make more money,
- 1:15:58Speaker 4: I would tell them.
- 1:15:59Speaker 3: This equation I've given you, take it to your schools.
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: If they can solve it, I will stop teaching. They
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: will take it and come back. I will be proud.
- 1:16:05Speaker 3: I will pay for my lecture before I start. I
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: was surviving. And sometimes it is this thing we went
- 1:16:16Speaker 3: through that made us strong. We didn't die. We only
- 1:16:19Speaker 3: passed through. It only came to pass. It came to pass.
- 1:16:23Speaker 3: I'm a man on the journey, but this is where
- 1:16:25Speaker 3: I am at the moment. Period. Okay?
- 1:16:29Speaker 4: Knowing where you are is not a crime. Trying to
- 1:16:32Speaker 4: fake it is the problem. You can't fake it till
- 1:16:34Speaker 4: you make it. Do what is genuine. Is that okay now?
- 1:16:39Speaker 3: Is that clear enough? Are you being blessed? Are you sure? Okay,
- 1:16:47Speaker 3: that's the balance.
- 1:16:50Speaker 4: Create structure. Some of you have family WhatsApp meetings, WhatsApp group.
- 1:16:55Speaker 4: Interesting one.
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: As you are wrapping up the year, have family conversation.
- 1:17:00Speaker 4: For men's fault, let no man trouble me for I
- 1:17:02Speaker 4: bear my body the marks of Christ.
- 1:17:06Speaker 3: Okay? You don't know how to start. Table all your problems.
- 1:17:10Speaker 3: Let them read it. And say, I need help. Say, please.
- 1:17:14Speaker 3: I need help. You know, when you want to ask
- 1:17:17Speaker 3: somebody for money, and the person now come and say,
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: this is my problem. Say, ha ha.
- 1:17:21Speaker 4: The person that is coming to ask for money will
- 1:17:23Speaker 4: not be able to ask again. Say, but you were
- 1:17:25Speaker 4: coming to see me. Say, but God, don't worry. I
- 1:17:28Speaker 4: think I'll be fine. Actually, you would have been fine.
- 1:17:32Speaker 4: Because you think I have. Let me share my problem
- 1:17:35Speaker 4: with you. You are too quiet. That's your problem. Share
- 1:17:38Speaker 4: your burden too. Maybe God might even raise somebody there
- 1:17:41Speaker 4: who have just hit one jackpot. I can give you $ 100, 000.
- 1:17:44Speaker 4: I say, brother, what can I give you?
- 1:17:50Speaker 3: But you won't share. No, you won't share. Okay? Help
- 1:17:55Speaker 3: people to become more responsible. Is that clear now? Is
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: that clear?
- 1:18:04Speaker 4: Number two, help but never promise what you can't do.
- 1:18:11Speaker 3: Alright?
- 1:18:11Speaker 4: In fact, understand, put your recurrent expenditure in view before
- 1:18:16Speaker 4: you promise. That is, the cycle of your spendings. Put
- 1:18:19Speaker 4: it in view before you promise it. Don't promise. By
- 1:18:28Speaker 4: next year, I'm going to build your house. No promise.
- 1:18:31Speaker 4: Do you know the economic forecast for next year? Do
- 1:18:34Speaker 4: you know what is going to happen? Maybe COVID will
- 1:18:37Speaker 4: come or something else will come again now.
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: People will start crying.
- 1:18:41Speaker 4: Now you have gone to promise somebody what you have not.
- 1:18:43Speaker 4: The year you have not started.
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: Ah. Somebody reach out. People used to reach out to our.
- 1:18:50Speaker 4: Ministry and say, we want to invite Apostle to come
- 1:18:52Speaker 4: and preach in our place.
- 1:18:54Speaker 3: We have prayed. The Holy Ghost said he's the one. Nah, lie.
- 1:18:57Speaker 4: The Holy Ghost did not say. You are inviting me
- 1:19:00Speaker 4: for two reasons. Only people, only few invite for the
- 1:19:02Speaker 4: third reason. Those who know the uniqueness of your anointing
- 1:19:05Speaker 4: and want it.
- 1:19:07Speaker 3: They are very scarce.
- 1:19:09Speaker 4: Many people invite because they see that you have the
- 1:19:11Speaker 4: ability to pull people. And if you don't go, they
- 1:19:16Speaker 4: will tell somebody it's the same format that the Holy
- 1:19:18Speaker 4: Ghost said. I told people, I said, you can spend
- 1:19:21Speaker 4: your life servicing people's admiration and not do what God
- 1:19:24Speaker 4: has called.
- 1:19:25Speaker 3: You to do. Okay?
- 1:19:27Speaker 4: They say, come on minister. I say, let's next year
- 1:19:29Speaker 4: start first. So I have plans. We have to go
- 1:19:34Speaker 4: and plant church in different countries. I will not be
- 1:19:36Speaker 4: feeling guilty that I promised you. In fact, as your
- 1:19:39Speaker 4: life increases, the less you promise. Because a lot of
- 1:19:43Speaker 4: logistics are.
- 1:19:44Speaker 3: Is that clear? Okay? Promise less. Sometimes the people complain.
- 1:19:48Speaker 3: They are not the problem. You are the one who
- 1:19:49Speaker 3: have said what you can't do. Number three.
- 1:19:54Speaker 4: Consider your immediate family. And make viable plans for them.
- 1:19:58Speaker 4: Consider your immediate family. If you don't have one yet,
- 1:20:01Speaker 4: stop in Africa. Particularly if you are coming from a
- 1:20:04Speaker 4: dysfunctional background. Before you marry, you need at least three
- 1:20:07Speaker 4: years to prepare the ground. Because you are doing things
- 1:20:14Speaker 4: that doesn't make sense. A woman will come that will
- 1:20:17Speaker 4: help adjust those things. They will demonize her and say
- 1:20:19Speaker 4: she's your problem. Ever since he's married now. Meanwhile, this
- 1:20:22Speaker 4: woman is trying to help you build wealth. Trying to
- 1:20:27Speaker 4: help you build. She knows what both of you will face.
- 1:20:30Speaker 4: She knows the days that both of you don't have.
- 1:20:33Speaker 4: But we will not listen.
- 1:20:35Speaker 3: Because you are a man. You are manly. Remember what now?
- 1:20:45Speaker 3: Helping people.
- 1:20:48Speaker 4: Is scriptural but you want to make sure you are
- 1:20:55Speaker 4: stepping into what is necessary or you are helping people
- 1:21:00Speaker 4: to do what is necessary not that people are just
- 1:21:05Speaker 4: trying to take advantage of you okay There are things
- 1:21:10Speaker 4: that somebody else can do. In fact, there are needs
- 1:21:13Speaker 4: that people bring to you that what they need is advice. Say, wow,
- 1:21:16Speaker 4: do you know that this is what I can advise you? Okay,
- 1:21:18Speaker 4: so go about it this way. If you go about
- 1:21:21Speaker 4: it that way, you will never feel obligated to throw
- 1:21:24Speaker 4: money around always. You don't have to respond to every
- 1:21:30Speaker 4: problem with credit alert. It's not a good orientation.
- 1:21:38Speaker 3: Is that okay?
- 1:21:38Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:21:39Speaker 3: So you want to plan.
- 1:21:40Speaker 4: This teaching will be relevant in preparing you.
- 1:21:45Speaker 3: And helping you get it right. Am I correct?
- 1:21:48Speaker 4: And helping you build sustainably. Your health will recover also.
- 1:21:55Speaker 4: Your blood pressure will be normalized. You'll become more effective.
- 1:22:01Speaker 4: Cut off the excesses. Then you can do what is important.
- 1:22:04Speaker 4: In fact, that's when you'll be able to truly help.
- 1:22:07Speaker 4: You'll be able to help the people who really need it.
- 1:22:10Speaker 4: Not just everybody thronging in on you.
- 1:22:12Speaker 3: Okay? So understand as I leave you now and I
- 1:22:15Speaker 3: pray for you. Never feel guilty because you have and
- 1:22:18Speaker 3: somebody else doesn't have. It is not your fault. Okay?
- 1:22:23Speaker 4: You are trying to help people. You are trying to
- 1:22:25Speaker 4: help them get the balance. You are trying to help
- 1:22:26Speaker 4: them come up. You are trying to help them mature.
- 1:22:29Speaker 4: You are trying to help them understand. But you must
- 1:22:31Speaker 4: understand that it cannot and must not be done out
- 1:22:35Speaker 4: of necessity.
- 1:22:36Speaker 3: It must be done out of sheer generosity. Okay? Okay?
- 1:22:41Speaker 4: Don't be bullied into a system where everybody feels we
- 1:22:45Speaker 4: have to milk you.
- 1:22:47Speaker 3: Is that okay now? Very, very important.
- 1:22:49Speaker 4: I'm still going to take you on how this black
- 1:22:50Speaker 4: tax affects the African church. Because there's a church tax.
- 1:22:55Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:22:57Speaker 4: I've taught people in this church that you have to
- 1:22:59Speaker 4: give in such a way that you remain a giver.
- 1:23:03Speaker 4: There's a way you give that even after pouring anointing
- 1:23:05Speaker 4: oil on you, 25 liters, you'll be very broke. There
- 1:23:12Speaker 4: is reward for generosity. There is no reward for foolishness.
- 1:23:16Speaker 4: The motivation of right giving is love. That's the motivation.
- 1:23:21Speaker 3: I love you Lord.
- 1:23:23Speaker 4: There is sacrifice. We sacrifice too. But there is a balance.
- 1:23:29Speaker 4: Is that clear now? Can I ask you to please pray?
- 1:23:32Speaker 4: And there are different kind of people here. You may
- 1:23:34Speaker 4: be the one who is a beneficiary of black tax.
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:23:38Speaker 4: And God is saying it's time to step up. And
- 1:23:41Speaker 4: you will be the one who is actually being drowned
- 1:23:43Speaker 4: by it. And God is saying it's time to be wise.
- 1:23:46Speaker 3: Whichever one.
- 1:23:47Speaker 4: Ask God for wisdom. To navigate the next phase. The
- 1:23:50Speaker 4: next season of your life. Ask him for wisdom. To
- 1:23:54Speaker 4: navigate the next phase. To navigate the next season. Wisdom
- 1:23:58Speaker 4: to prepare. To become strong. You can even become more effective.
- 1:24:04Speaker 4: In the things that you do. You become more powerful.
- 1:24:07Speaker 4: Become more effective.
- 1:24:08Speaker 3: Ask God for wisdom.
- 1:24:09Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:24:10Speaker 3: Okay. Take the prayer seriously. Don't joke with it. Ask God.
- 1:24:16Speaker 3: I receive wisdom. I receive help. I receive strength. In
- 1:24:21Speaker 3: the name of Jesus.
- 1:24:22Speaker 4: From today I'm not confused. I know what to do.
- 1:24:25Speaker 4: We build strong and healthy families. Strong and healthy systems.
- 1:24:30Speaker 4: In the name of Jesus.
- 1:24:32Speaker 3: Strong and healthy families. Strong and healthy systems.
- 1:24:36Speaker 4: In the name of Jesus. I receive the wisdom to build.
- 1:24:40Speaker 4: To build well. Wisdom to build well. Wisdom to build well.
- 1:24:45Speaker 4: Wisdom to build well. In the name of Jesus. Now
- 1:24:51Speaker 4: put your family in the hands of God and ask
- 1:24:53Speaker 4: God for strength and help.
- 1:24:56Speaker 3: In the name of Jesus.
- 1:24:57Speaker 4: That they will help them too and raise people so
- 1:25:00Speaker 4: there can be more help coming from different sources.
- 1:25:03Speaker 3: Yes. More help coming from different sources. Oh yes. Pray
- 1:25:08Speaker 3: that prayer. Please pray. Pray for your siblings. Pray for
- 1:25:11Speaker 3: your younger ones. Pray for your friends.
- 1:25:14Speaker 4: Pray that the pattern of dysfunctionality of lack ends. The
- 1:25:19Speaker 4: specific wisdom to end it and change the narrative.
- 1:25:23Speaker 3: Ask for it. Ask for it. Ask for the.
- 1:25:27Speaker 4: Wisdom to change the narrative. The wisdom to end the
- 1:25:31Speaker 4: pattern of dysfunctionality.
- 1:25:34Speaker 3: In the name of Jesus. Thank you, blessed Father. We
- 1:25:38Speaker 3: give you all the praise. Thank you, Lord. In Jesus'
- 1:25:42Speaker 3: name we pray.
