- 0:18Speaker 2: Yeah, good morning. Right.
- 0:19Speaker 1: What was the damage?
- 0:22Speaker 2: Well, they've estimate it anywhere between sixteen eighty million dollars
- 0:25Speaker 2: losses across across the region. So that will be ultimately
- 0:29Speaker 2: have to be proven by people if it's going to
- 0:31Speaker 2: be if the claim is going to be successful.
- 0:33Speaker 1: You're supporting this.
- 0:36Speaker 2: I encouraged anyone who wants fields. They've been hard done
- 0:39Speaker 2: by the explore all avenues and some local businesses have
- 0:43Speaker 2: and I think and all powers them because there were
- 0:46Speaker 2: definitely losses across the North and now the question is
- 0:48Speaker 2: whether they're legally stacks up and they get something out
- 0:51Speaker 2: of it.
- 0:51Speaker 1: It does it? Well, what's your have you have they had,
- 0:54Speaker 1: they've obviously got a legal opinion on that they think
- 0:56Speaker 1: it does.
- 0:57Speaker 2: It's not my place to get from the court process,
- 1:01Speaker 2: but let's just see where it lands. But we all
- 1:03Speaker 2: know what happened, and the reports are showing what happened,
- 1:06Speaker 2: which to this day is still bigg as belief. But
- 1:08Speaker 2: so yes, there's a legal process and let's follow it through.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Has there been any ongoing effects, like obviously there was
- 1:15Speaker 1: the few days where they were down, But did it
- 1:17Speaker 1: cause it? Is it still causing problems?
- 1:20Speaker 2: Not directly, but I know it put a lot of
- 1:22Speaker 2: stress on one or two businesses I know up north.
- 1:27Speaker 2: The loss of power for a big business like J
- 1:29Speaker 2: and L the mill in Ti Tire, which is out
- 1:31Speaker 2: of they they didn't compare come for four or five
- 1:34Speaker 2: days was significant and that's a business that, like a
- 1:37Speaker 2: lot of mills, are struggling, so that was not helpful
- 1:39Speaker 2: to them. So yeah, the effect has been lingering, you
- 1:43Speaker 2: might say, But yeah, I know there've been a number
- 1:45Speaker 2: of business owners who have been quite annoyed with the
- 1:48Speaker 2: whole thing and the fact that Transpower and their of
- 1:51Speaker 2: you haven't and their of you haven't compensated them.
- 1:54Speaker 1: All right, Hey, Grandel's having a look at your electric
- 1:56Speaker 1: numbers from last election. Are you worried about next year?

- 2:03Speaker 2: do my best. The electors will make their mind up.
- 2:06Speaker 2: I'm always worried about what electors want, and I get
- 2:08Speaker 2: out there and listen to them. But I guess I
