- 0:00Speaker 1: My name is Sarah McLoud.
- 0:01Speaker 2: I'm from the band to Super Jesus and our new
- 0:04Speaker 2: album is self titled called the Super Jesus, first album
- 0:08Speaker 2: in twenty years. It gets released March twenty one, which.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Is this Thursday.
- 0:13Speaker 3: Yahticle, sir, thanks for joining us today.
- 0:16Speaker 1: My pleasure. Thanks for having me. Chris, good to see
- 0:18Speaker 1: you again.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Well, aways, I think i've seen you.
- 0:20Speaker 4: The last three times i've seen you, one's been on
- 0:22Speaker 4: a boat, the other one has been in the desert,
- 0:24Speaker 4: and now it's from a winery.
- 0:25Speaker 1: So you're we first it rocked the boat, didn't we Yeah? Yeah,
- 0:29Speaker 1: yeah did?
- 0:29Speaker 4: You tried to read my notes and you couldn't read
- 0:31Speaker 4: them if they were that messy.
- 0:33Speaker 1: I couldn't work out why you had notes.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Just just chat, don't worry, you know. Yeah.
- 0:40Speaker 4: Well, usually if I makes it up as I go,
- 0:41Speaker 4: it goes pear shape. So I try to have some
- 0:43Speaker 4: form of structure.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Yeah, it goes out the window pretty quick.
- 0:48Speaker 4: So we're here today to chat about your new album,
- 0:52Speaker 4: which is a self titled album.
- 0:53Speaker 3: God the Super Jesus is out this Friday.
- 0:55Speaker 4: I think one was March twenty first, So how do
- 0:58Speaker 4: you feel about it?
- 1:00Speaker 2: I am excited to have it finally released. It's been
- 1:05Speaker 2: a slow process because we've staggered single releases over the
- 1:09Speaker 2: last eighteen months. So we put out six singles so far,
- 1:12Speaker 2: so seven nineteen, so there's early a romance.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Gang Busters Lonus new Bloke.
- 1:18Speaker 2: So yeah, there's only four more songs to come out
- 1:20Speaker 2: that people haven't heard. With really six singles, it's a
- 1:23Speaker 2: ten track album, but the last four are killers, so
- 1:26Speaker 2: we've just been holding them. It's not like his bunch
- 1:28Speaker 2: of his four album tracks. The last four are some
- 1:31Speaker 2: of my favorites. So we deliberately staggered singles and then
- 1:34Speaker 2: we kept four nuggets just to spit out at the
- 1:39Speaker 2: end to drive it home.
- 1:41Speaker 4: I can actually test to that Gamebusters is my favorite
- 1:44Speaker 4: song of the whole album and doesn't even been released yet.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Is it unreal?
- 1:47Speaker 1: I love that you stay there?
- 1:48Speaker 2: I was. I was like am I I kept thinking,
- 1:51Speaker 2: I'm going to be the only one that loves gang Busters.
- 1:53Speaker 1: I couldn't believe.
- 1:54Speaker 2: I even got ready to record it because I wrote
- 1:56Speaker 2: my solo album, was like, what about we do Gangbusters?
- 1:59Speaker 2: And I remember he said to me at first, now
- 2:01Speaker 2: it sounds like Ghostbusters, and I don't want to know
- 2:03Speaker 2: about it and I was like, yeah, but just give
- 2:05Speaker 2: it a chance, go listen to it. And then he
- 2:08Speaker 2: was like, oh no, we can totally do this. I'm like, yeah,
- 2:10Speaker 2: we can.
- 2:11Speaker 1: It's could be great.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:12Speaker 2: I love Gang Glasses. I think it might get some
- 2:14Speaker 2: club remixes done of Gang Glusters too.
- 2:16Speaker 1: They'll be cool.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Do those Busters remix We Gone Coal.
- 2:23Speaker 4: So this is your first album since rock music in
- 2:25Speaker 4: two thousand and three, which is a damn long time.
- 2:27Speaker 4: But do you feel any extra pressure going into this
- 2:30Speaker 4: one because you've got to basically make up for the
- 2:32Speaker 4: last twenty odd years.
- 2:34Speaker 1: No.
- 2:34Speaker 2: No, I don't feel any pressure at all. The pressure
- 2:37Speaker 2: I feel is pressure I put on myself. All I
- 2:39Speaker 2: care about is writing songs that are memorable. And the
- 2:44Speaker 2: reason being is that years ago I did some songwriting
- 2:49Speaker 2: for an American label for one of their artists, and
- 2:54Speaker 2: that they asked me to write in the song and
- 2:56Speaker 2: I wrote a song and they came back to me
- 2:57Speaker 2: and they said, sorry, Sarah, it's just not memorable enough.
- 3:01Speaker 2: And it was like a stab into my heart and
- 3:05Speaker 2: soul never forgotten it and everything after that, I'm like, Okay,
- 3:08Speaker 2: if you're going to write, it's got to be memorable.
- 3:10Speaker 2: So then that became my new But I'm just I'm
- 3:15Speaker 2: chasing it like a bloodhound, Like you know, this hook's
- 3:18Speaker 2: gotta make it catchy, You gotta make it memorable. You
- 3:20Speaker 2: you got to write something that stays with people, that
- 3:23Speaker 2: people want to listen to again and ear wombs in
- 3:26Speaker 2: their mind.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Got to make it memorable. Otherwise what are you doing?
- 3:30Speaker 2: No? I was so upsets in that moment where that
- 3:34Speaker 2: guy told me my song wasn't memorable that I then
- 3:37Speaker 2: spent the rest of my life trying to work out
- 3:40Speaker 2: how to write songs that stay with you.
- 3:44Speaker 4: So he was being an arsehole, but in the end
- 3:45Speaker 4: he actually gave you extra motivation for the rest of
- 3:47Speaker 4: your life.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Yeah, but that's what living is, isn't it. Like that's
- 3:50Speaker 2: how we build ourselves. It's the knocks, and it's the
- 3:53Speaker 2: good times and the bad times that make us who
- 3:55Speaker 2: we are, make us whether we're any good at something.
- 3:57Speaker 4: You need that, So tell us a bit more about
- 4:01Speaker 4: the album from a musical point of view and what
- 4:02Speaker 4: you were done for with it.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Well initially, okay, so there's sort of two threads to this.
- 4:08Speaker 2: That's an interesting question. Initially, Ruddy and I discussed about
- 4:12Speaker 2: going back to our Sumo roots, going back to the
- 4:17Speaker 2: nineties sound, the open tunings, the the interestingly long arrangements,
- 4:24Speaker 2: lots of instrumentals, dynamics.
- 4:28Speaker 1: We wanted it. We wanted to try and make something
- 4:30Speaker 1: that sounded like Sumo.
- 4:31Speaker 2: And if you listen to the record, this song called Starlight,
- 4:34Speaker 2: which is the opening song. So Raddy wrote the instrumentation
- 4:37Speaker 2: for that and he gave to me and I wrote
- 4:39Speaker 2: the singing part. But that's that totally is him going,
- 4:42Speaker 2: I'm going to take us back to where we were.
- 4:45Speaker 2: It's sort of like pay homage to the song I'm Stained,
- 4:47Speaker 2: which was from Sumo, So that was where he was
- 4:52Speaker 2: wanting to go with it. And then I was writing
- 4:54Speaker 2: songs where I was trying to get us a little
- 4:56Speaker 2: bit sort of like dancing, you know, and like it
- 5:00Speaker 2: was sort of like clubby Beats, and which is very
- 5:03Speaker 2: different to where Ready wanted to go. But we found
- 5:05Speaker 2: a middle ground, and I think it was like I'm
- 5:08Speaker 2: sort of I'm submitting these songs to him going like
- 5:10Speaker 2: this is kind of a little bit dancy, which I
- 5:12Speaker 2: know the word dancing would put Ruddy off. Instead of
- 5:15Speaker 2: saying it's dancy, I would say to him kind of
- 5:18Speaker 2: sounds good like in Excess, don't you Reckon? And he goes, yeah, yeah, yeah, cool, okay, yeah,
- 5:22Speaker 2: because it's it's a bit dancing like in Excess, Right
- 5:25Speaker 2: there you go. So once I sort of realized that
- 5:27Speaker 2: I could sell in my dancing ideas masquerading in the
- 5:31Speaker 2: Trojan Horse of In Excess, we were able to find
- 5:34Speaker 2: common ground with the whole record, and then it became
- 5:38Speaker 2: a fusion of a sort of homage to our nineties sound,
- 5:43Speaker 2: but with a bit of a modern sort of you know, yeah,
- 5:48Speaker 2: like danceable twist.
- 5:51Speaker 4: Now, when we spoke at Monday Monday Bash last year,
- 5:54Speaker 4: you said, and I wait, I should you not?
- 5:57Speaker 3: But it's the best stuff we've ever written in our lives.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Now it's the album set. Time to digest with you
- 6:02Speaker 3: a little bit more. Did do you still feel that?
- 6:03Speaker 2: Oh?
- 6:04Speaker 1: Fuck? Yeah?
- 6:04Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 6:07Speaker 2: Why because every single song I listen to every single
- 6:12Speaker 2: song and I love every bit of it. There's nothing
- 6:15Speaker 2: I want to fast forward.
- 6:16Speaker 1: There's no songs a going. This sort of sucks.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Every every lyric moves to the next lyric like as
- 6:27Speaker 2: part of the story, which I never used to do,
- 6:29Speaker 2: Like I used to sort of write lyrics and they
- 6:31Speaker 2: would be like line by line, they kind of sound cool,
- 6:33Speaker 2: but I fucking I don't know what I'm talking about.
- 6:35Speaker 1: I listened back to what's that song about?
- 6:37Speaker 2: I've got no idea, but I've learned now that each line,
- 6:41Speaker 2: I mean, lyrics are like high class real estate.
- 6:45Speaker 1: It's not like writing writing a book or a poem.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Even like when you write a song, You've only got
- 6:50Speaker 2: a certain amount of space where you can say something,
- 6:54Speaker 2: so you have the skill of it is to learn
- 6:56Speaker 2: how to say what the message you want to get across,
- 6:59Speaker 2: but in very little pros because you've only got short
- 7:02Speaker 2: little verses and wrap it all up in the chorus.
- 7:05Speaker 2: And over the years, I've sort of really been honing
- 7:08Speaker 2: in on how ever, since that guy told me I
- 7:10Speaker 2: wasn't a memorable songwriter, I thought, why okay, And so
- 7:13Speaker 2: a lot of it was honing in on the stories
- 7:18Speaker 2: and taking the listener on a journey that you can follow.
- 7:21Speaker 2: So you know, you say something, you're in it, you
- 7:23Speaker 2: can visualize it, and you're in the journey. There's no
- 7:25Speaker 2: random line, so you go, what's that all about? I
- 7:28Speaker 2: used to have them everywhere. I don't have them anymore,
- 7:30Speaker 2: so I guess maybe that's why I love it so much,
- 7:32Speaker 2: because I'm so connected to it, and I'm I just
- 7:36Speaker 2: feel like we've got I just felt we've got better.
- 7:38Speaker 1: I feel like.
- 7:38Speaker 2: We we did a great job in the nineties and
- 7:42Speaker 2: we were happy with those records, but we had ten
- 7:45Speaker 2: years off. We all went and did different music.
- 7:47Speaker 1: We learned stuff. Rad he was in all these different bands.
- 7:50Speaker 2: And he came back with a whole.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Library of new influences, and so did I.
- 7:55Speaker 2: And we're like, Okay, we're the same people, but we're not.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Really because we've learned all the stuff.
- 8:00Speaker 2: So why don't we bring in all the cool shit
- 8:03Speaker 2: that we've learned and make something different but paying homage
- 8:07Speaker 2: to who we were.
- 8:08Speaker 1: And that's where we're at. And I think it's been
- 8:09Speaker 1: really good for us, and I love it. I love
- 8:11Speaker 1: every song.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Now. I'm normally one of those people and I listen
- 8:16Speaker 3: to an album.
- 8:16Speaker 4: As soon as a ballad comes on, I'm like, fuck it, skip,
- 8:20Speaker 4: fucket skipped. But I came to Diamonds on your album
- 8:23Speaker 4: and and something about it called me and listening through, like,
- 8:26Speaker 4: is that you playing piano.
- 8:28Speaker 3: On that song?
- 8:29Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 8:29Speaker 4: So I wrote that beautiful, beautiful song, Like I actually
- 8:32Speaker 4: instead of fast forwarding it, I'd skip back and I
- 8:34Speaker 4: listened to it again afterwards.
- 8:35Speaker 3: It's a beautiful piece of way.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Thank you, Chris.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I wrote that for my solo album and then
- 8:42Speaker 2: I played it to Already and he went, oh no,
- 8:43Speaker 2: let's record it.
- 8:44Speaker 1: And I was like, oh no.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Because it was the flagship of my solo record. I
- 8:48Speaker 2: was like, this is this is a great song. And
- 8:51Speaker 2: then he's like, no, we want it, and I was like,
- 8:53Speaker 2: of course she do. But I thought, I mean, I
- 8:54Speaker 2: did play it to him with that option, and I
- 8:57Speaker 2: do know that once I give them a song it
- 8:59Speaker 2: will be better. Once it's got the Superjeser treatment, it
- 9:03Speaker 2: don't make it beautiful. So I thought, take your ego
- 9:06Speaker 2: out of it, let them have it. And they made it.
- 9:08Speaker 2: They took it to the next level. Like how I
- 9:11Speaker 2: had it before was lovely, but they made it really special.
- 9:16Speaker 3: See other those lines. You're doing a lot of writing.
- 9:18Speaker 4: For your solo stuff fans, to the Suberg's and for
- 9:20Speaker 4: other people. So how do you decide what to use
- 9:23Speaker 4: on your solo records and what you're gonna submit to
- 9:25Speaker 4: the Super Jesus.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Well, it was always really easy before because our sounds
- 9:29Speaker 2: were so different, styles were so different, getting harder because
- 9:33Speaker 2: the styles are starting to fuse. It's getting so hard
- 9:36Speaker 2: even that I have like fifteen twenty tracks for a
- 9:41Speaker 2: solo record sitting in my demo box that I'm about
- 9:45Speaker 2: to work on once the Super Jesus one is out,
- 9:48Speaker 2: and the guys are saying to me.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Well, what do you got?
- 9:50Speaker 2: Like?
- 9:51Speaker 1: Should you know?
- 9:51Speaker 2: Should we should it be a Super Jesus Maybe, but
- 9:55Speaker 2: you know, I don't. I'm not sure how far we
- 9:57Speaker 2: can push these boundaries of how we want to go
- 10:00Speaker 2: or you know, because some of it's quite pop and
- 10:03Speaker 2: a little bit girly, wasn't it be careful of lyrics?
- 10:06Speaker 1: Like because in the Super Jesus like that's sort of.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Like a man's band is a boy's band, Like men
- 10:11Speaker 2: dig the Super Jesus. I've seen our stats. It's all men,
- 10:14Speaker 2: thirty to fifty year old men like okay, So then
- 10:18Speaker 2: I'm writing these really girly lyrics, So the boys a
- 10:21Speaker 2: solo album.
- 10:23Speaker 3: That's an interesting point, but it's true.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I don't know.
- 10:27Speaker 2: So I think that lyric lyrically is what really defines it,
- 10:32Speaker 2: helps separate it, whether it's too personal as well, like
- 10:36Speaker 2: some of the songs that are too personal, I like
- 10:38Speaker 2: to keep them for solo because I feel like when
- 10:40Speaker 2: I'm in the band, I'm speaking on behalf of everyone
- 10:43Speaker 2: likes everyone in the band, I mean, so I'm the
- 10:46Speaker 2: spokesperson for them, so I can't be saying personal stuff
- 10:49Speaker 2: about my lady life. I've got to just be really
- 10:52Speaker 2: general and you know, there's something we can all chant
- 10:55Speaker 2: to and enjoy. But then when I'm solo, I can
- 10:57Speaker 2: get deep in particular.
- 10:59Speaker 3: Well, AULYO, very cool.
- 11:01Speaker 4: You've also got a wicked cover of gen X's Dancing
- 11:04Speaker 4: with Myself on there, like watching is that song to cover?
- 11:06Speaker 3: And how much work did it take to put your
- 11:08Speaker 3: spin on it?
- 11:10Speaker 2: Well, I mean, I don't really think we spun on
- 11:12Speaker 2: it that much. We just jammed on it once and
- 11:14Speaker 2: when we were supposed to just put it out as
- 11:17Speaker 2: a fun side piece, it was Ready's idea actually, and
- 11:21Speaker 2: then we liked it so much and it worked, like,
- 11:23Speaker 2: let's put on the album.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Why not?
- 11:24Speaker 2: Why would because we're also we've always been so anti covers.
- 11:27Speaker 2: I don't do it cover it kind of covers, you know,
- 11:30Speaker 2: because in the nineties that was really uncol to do
- 11:31Speaker 2: covers kind of cover, but then we're like, well, Grispoon,
- 11:34Speaker 2: did you know, like we can do a cover.
- 11:43Speaker 4: There was another quote from you at Monday Monday that
- 11:45Speaker 4: I found very interesting, and you said that experiences allowed
- 11:49Speaker 4: you to work out the power of simplicity.
- 11:52Speaker 3: Can you keep that for us?
- 11:54Speaker 2: Yeah, because it's like the alchemist, you walk one hundred
- 11:58Speaker 2: miles to come back where you were to realize you
- 12:01Speaker 2: were fine in the first place.
- 12:03Speaker 1: So you come up with a lot of brain. Is
- 12:06Speaker 1: a funny thing.
- 12:07Speaker 2: It comes up with so much interesting tangents and gold
- 12:10Speaker 2: and junk. You know, it's like gold and junk, and
- 12:14Speaker 2: it will take you on all these different places, and
- 12:15Speaker 2: you've got to do that journey in order to realize
- 12:19Speaker 2: what you had in the beginning. Without doing the journey,
- 12:22Speaker 2: you don't really notice what you've got. So I do
- 12:24Speaker 2: this big, long journey in a ride all these elaborate pieces,
- 12:27Speaker 2: and then I go back and I scratch it all out,
- 12:29Speaker 2: pick by beating.
- 12:30Speaker 1: I don't need that, I don't need that. I don't
- 12:31Speaker 1: need that. In fact, I don't need any of this.
- 12:33Speaker 2: And sometimes that's hard to proof to proof read yourself
- 12:37Speaker 2: to that degree, because you've got to ditch things that
- 12:41Speaker 2: ten minutes ago you thought with gold, oh that chorus
- 12:43Speaker 2: is great. Well no, it's actually shit, So it's consider
- 12:45Speaker 2: it and then you end up just coming back to
- 12:48Speaker 2: square one. Because simplicity, the simplest songs.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Are the hardest one to write. But that's what you have.
- 12:55Speaker 1: That's that's what you want.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Because no one wants to go to a gig and
- 12:58Speaker 2: try and remember. I mean unless it's Hotel California or something,
- 13:02Speaker 2: which is such good lyrics that you remember them all.
- 13:05Speaker 2: But people just want something repetitives that they can jump
- 13:07Speaker 2: around to and have fun. And I've thought that too,
- 13:09Speaker 2: Like when I'm at a bar or a club, I
- 13:11Speaker 2: want to be able to sing along because it gives
- 13:13Speaker 2: me something to do with my face. Otherwise I'm just
- 13:15Speaker 2: looking at people going you know, I want to go where,
- 13:19Speaker 2: not gone to take it?
- 13:22Speaker 1: No, you're looking around, that's right, guys.
- 13:24Speaker 3: You know.
- 13:25Speaker 2: So the the simplest you can do. It's the hardest
- 13:29Speaker 2: thing to be simple and also to connect and you've
- 13:33Speaker 2: got to walk a long way to come back to
- 13:35Speaker 2: cut it. But you can't just wake up and do it.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Well I can't anyway.
- 13:40Speaker 4: So to celebrate the new album, The Super Genus will
- 13:43Speaker 4: be heading out on a national tour, starting Sydney on
- 13:45Speaker 4: June is Sick, then you hear avalon Melbourne bar and
- 13:48Speaker 4: heads Brisbane and Sunshine Coas and finishing Adelaide on July
- 13:51Speaker 4: the fifth. But are you going to be focusing more
- 13:53Speaker 4: of the new album or is it going to be
- 13:54Speaker 4: a bit of a spread mixture.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Well, we're going to be so bold as to play
- 14:00Speaker 2: the entire fucking new album and then do us a
- 14:03Speaker 2: set of greatest hits because.
- 14:05Speaker 1: We love the album so much.
- 14:07Speaker 2: We're like, well, we've released six singles, so everyone knows
- 14:09Speaker 2: six songs, so is it gonna kill us to just
- 14:12Speaker 2: jam in the other four because we love them, and
- 14:15Speaker 2: and then.
- 14:15Speaker 1: We'll play all the other songs as well.
- 14:17Speaker 2: But normally, when you when you release an album, you
- 14:19Speaker 2: go on tour and you'd play maybe three or four
- 14:21Speaker 2: songs from the new album and that's it, and you
- 14:24Speaker 2: may never play any of those other songs again.
- 14:26Speaker 1: By the back of all our other albums. But we've never.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Played any of those songs live, just the singles. But
- 14:32Speaker 2: we love these songs so much we want to play more.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Don't play more, I want to play game Busters Life.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, So that's just what we have to do.
- 14:40Speaker 1: It's gonna play longer.
- 14:42Speaker 3: The piano out for Diamonds.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Well, we've been talking about that.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Do we bother carrying a piano around for the whole
- 14:49Speaker 2: tour for one song?
- 14:50Speaker 1: And then when we.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Did the video clip, I had an acoustic there and
- 14:55Speaker 2: we did We did half of it like miming with
- 14:56Speaker 2: me on the acoustic and when the when the song stopped,
- 14:59Speaker 2: we just started playing it and we're like, this sounds great.
- 15:03Speaker 2: So I think we're just going to do that on
- 15:05Speaker 2: acoustic now because it sounds really good.
- 15:06Speaker 1: And that says it's taking piano, yeah.
- 15:09Speaker 3: True, true, true.
- 15:10Speaker 4: And you're also given the opportunity for a local band
- 15:13Speaker 4: to open each night, which is on your press release
- 15:16Speaker 4: or your website. It's a great concept, so run us
- 15:18Speaker 4: through that.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Well, and normally we just get a band through our agent,
- 15:23Speaker 2: who will go take this band. This is a band
- 15:25Speaker 2: we've just signed. We want to give them a leg up,
- 15:28Speaker 2: can you take them on tour? And we go yeah, sure,
- 15:30Speaker 2: But this time we were like, we want to find
- 15:31Speaker 2: bands that don't have ages. We want to find bands
- 15:35Speaker 2: in each town, so we want a different band every night.
- 15:39Speaker 1: We want to.
- 15:39Speaker 2: We want like the hero of each town. So send
- 15:42Speaker 2: us everyone in the town who's a musician who can
- 15:45Speaker 2: be bothered. If you're interested, please send us your tracks
- 15:48Speaker 2: and we'll pick what we think is the hero of
- 15:50Speaker 2: each town and then we can we can do all
- 15:55Speaker 2: we can to catapult them, help them with their publicity.
- 15:58Speaker 2: And then it also a novelty, you know, we get
- 16:01Speaker 2: to discover a new acts, they get to play on
- 16:03Speaker 2: bigger stages, and we feel cool because we have found
- 16:07Speaker 2: something fresh that's awesome.
- 16:09Speaker 3: And where do people go to to find out? We'll
- 16:11Speaker 3: find that form to apply.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I ton't know.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Website Superjesus dot com.
- 16:15Speaker 3: Very cool now.
- 16:17Speaker 4: I read it quite recently from Stewart that said the
- 16:19Speaker 4: Super Jesus are not going anywhere soon. Like I'm sure
- 16:23Speaker 4: music lovers and fans around the country are going to
- 16:25Speaker 4: be glad to hear that, Like you ain't going anywhere.
- 16:28Speaker 1: No, we're never breaking up.
- 16:31Speaker 2: We will play live until we die, and you can
- 16:35Speaker 2: mark my words and quote me on that.
- 16:37Speaker 1: In twenty years.
- 16:38Speaker 2: We'll be like, I've just got one more gig in me.
- 16:42Speaker 1: We'll just keep on going.
- 16:43Speaker 2: That's what we do. We call ourselves lifers. We're in
- 16:46Speaker 2: it for life.
- 16:48Speaker 4: Now, before I let you go to Lacea, I've got
- 16:50Speaker 4: a new segment I've started called photo Bombs. So basically
- 16:53Speaker 4: I've trod through your social media before you've had a chat.
- 16:56Speaker 3: I've come up with a few photos I want to
- 16:58Speaker 3: talk to you a bit more about. The First time
- 17:02Speaker 3: is Yeah, you're.
- 17:03Speaker 4: Known and loved boy photographers worldwide for one thing other
- 17:06Speaker 4: than the musical talent, and that's your energy on stage,
- 17:08Speaker 4: like your signature move.
- 17:10Speaker 3: It's jumping from the drum riser like that.
- 17:13Speaker 2: There.
- 17:14Speaker 3: You've got some serious air on that one.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Yeah, and I've got flat feet too. That's never pretty
- 17:20Speaker 2: on landing.
- 17:22Speaker 3: Has it ever gone Pasha.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Once?
- 17:26Speaker 3: What would that be.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Online?
- 17:31Speaker 3: Going to be that at that time?
- 17:39Speaker 1: That could be it?
- 17:41Speaker 3: Sorry, I had to throw that in.
- 17:44Speaker 2: I think that's it. Wow, that looks bad. I wonder
- 17:48Speaker 2: I'm not more strife.
- 17:49Speaker 3: That looks place yourself damage.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, no, you know that's all right.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Just get up and keep going wearing a skirt exactly.
- 17:59Speaker 2: That's why skirts, that's the number one reason. You never
- 18:02Speaker 2: know what kind of strange position you're going to get
- 18:04Speaker 2: yourself into.
- 18:06Speaker 4: Then the other one I found was this pearl of
- 18:08Speaker 4: a photo back from when Kiss supported the Super Jesus
- 18:13Speaker 4: in Adelaide.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Oh that is a good photo. And hey, do you
- 18:16Speaker 2: notice the one interesting strange thing about that photo? Do
- 18:21Speaker 2: you see the special guest in there with us?
- 18:24Speaker 3: I think I believe.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Jeene Simmons next to me. No, see the chicken there
- 18:30Speaker 2: in front of Jean Simmons.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I can't see it close up. Who is it?
- 18:34Speaker 1: That's Dallas Frasco.
- 18:36Speaker 3: Oh.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Wow, she was my she's my mate.
- 18:39Speaker 2: I bought her.
- 18:39Speaker 1: She was my plus one for the gig. I bought
- 18:41Speaker 1: her for fun.
- 18:42Speaker 2: And then I was like, we've got to go have
- 18:43Speaker 2: a photo with Kiss.
- 18:44Speaker 1: She was like, I'm gonna go. Can I come on?
- 18:46Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, let's go. And I dragged her into our
- 18:48Speaker 2: photo
