- 0:06Eat a Thea. Oh, Archie, did you say
- 0:13something? Have you seen my gold?
- 0:13Eat a Thea. Where are my gold?
- 0:15Rings I've been looking. For him for two weeks.
- 0:17I can't find him anywhere. Oh, Archer, for I gave him to
- 0:23the Israelites. You did what?
- 0:26I gave them to the Israelites when they was leaving Egypt.
- 0:32What are you going? Give my gold rings to them
- 0:34Israelites for. Oh, well, they were so nice.
- 0:38When they came to the door, they asked for silver and gold, and I
- 0:44gave them to them. Archer.
- 0:46You know, I felt so sorry for those Israelites.
- 0:50They've been working real hard for the last 400 years.
- 0:56Oh, myotropher, I don't think we paid them.
- 1:03Well, of course we didn't pay them.
- 1:05Meet Athena. That's why they're slaves.
- 1:08Slaves don't get paid and they don't get my gold rings neither.
- 1:13Oh, but Archifer, it seemed like the right thing to do at the
- 1:18time. Well, it was the wrong thing to
- 1:20do at the time. You don't give slaves nothing.
- 1:23No W wanting something all the time, but.
- 1:26Archifer. They ain't slaves no more.
- 1:30Pharaoh let him go. Remember?
- 1:32How could I forget? I've been making bricks ever
- 1:36since they left. I'm making bricks.
- 1:39That's hard work, you know. Pharaoh hadn't drowned in the
- 1:42Red Sea. I'd kill him myself for letting
- 1:45no slaves go free. Pharaoh didn't have no choice,
- 1:49Archipher. It was God who let his people
- 1:53out of Egypt. Why the people were saying?
- 1:57That God was Jehovah Rohi, the Lord God.
- 2:02They're Good Shepherd. Why?
- 2:04There was a cloud in the daytime, and there was fire in
- 2:10the night time, and the Israelites were following it
- 2:15right out of Egypt. Archer for you should have seen
- 2:18it. Archer for It was amazing.
- 2:21Well, if they were still here making bricks, I could have seen
- 2:25it, but I ain't had time to see nothing.
- 2:30Have you seen my belt? That gold one?
- 2:33No, the silver one. Oh.
- 2:36I gave it to the Israelites archifer.
- 2:40As a matter of fact, I gave the gold one and the silver one to
- 2:45the Israelites. I just couldn't help myself
- 2:49Archifer. It was the strangest feeling.
- 2:53I just wanted to give them everything in the house that was
- 2:58made out of silver and gold. That why we've been in that A
- 3:03paper plates for the past two weeks.
- 3:05Yes, that's why. Did I do something wrong?
- 3:10Aren't you fair? No.
- 3:12You didn't do nothing wrong. You just gave away everything we
- 3:16own. That's all.
- 3:19I'm going to go to my room and put on my robe and try to relax
- 3:23while I figure out a way to keep making money in this bricklaying
- 3:26business of ours, seeing how I'm suddenly one of the poorest men
- 3:30in all of Egypt. Ho ho, I sure hope he doesn't
- 3:35want his silk robe. I used it to wrap all the silver
- 3:42and gold to give it to the Israelites.
- 3:45Ho dear, I better go make some supper.
- 3:50Have you seen my robe? Yeah, I feel like 1,000,000
- 4:02bucks. I've never felt this good
- 4:05before. Why?
- 4:07Back in Egypt when we were slaves making bricks, I was too
- 4:11old to work. The Egyptians doctor said I'd
- 4:14die any day. I was so weak and tired I
- 4:17couldn't even move a muscle. There you are.
- 4:24You're having a hard time keeping up with you.
- 4:26You're not tired, are you? Me.
- 4:29Tired. No way, Jose.
- 4:31God is Jehovah Ralph on my healer.
- 4:34All right, well, we got a long way to the promise line.
- 4:35Come on, let's go. Yeah, you're going ahead.
- 4:37OK, I'll catch you up with you. I'm talking to these kids right
- 4:40now. Oh, you know, if this was last
- 4:43week, I would have believed. But today, you're a new man.
- 4:46I am a new man. Hey.
- 4:49When Farrell freed us from Egypt.
- 4:52And I try to talk my family and they're leaving me behind.
- 4:55They didn't want them carrying me through the desert.
- 4:58I'd be a burden too big to handle.
- 5:01Father, there you are. I've been looking.
- 5:03All over for you. I never thought that you could
- 5:06get ahead of me being as old as you are.
- 5:09Yeah, well, I might look old, but I don't feel old, 'cause God
- 5:12is Jehovah Rafah, my healer. Well, come on, we.
- 5:15Still have a long way to go. Yeah, you go on ahead.
- 5:17OK. I'm staying here a couple more
- 5:18minutes. I'm talking to these kids.
- 5:21OK, Hey, you're a walking miracle.
- 5:25Get it? I made.
- 5:26A joke of walking miracle, I cracked myself up.
- 5:34I really am a walking miracle. The family carried me through
- 5:38the red scene all the way to the little lake called Mara.
- 5:42It was there that God told. I was gonna say keep be our
- 5:46healer. Jehovah, Rafah.
- 5:48When I heard that, I jumped up on my feet.
- 5:51I've been walking ever since. I'm a walking miracle.
- 5:56See my mom and dad. Oh yeah.
- 5:58I just talked to both of them. They're on up ahead.
- 6:00Well, let's. Catch up.
- 6:01With them. Yeah, go on ahead.
- 6:03I'll be there in a minute. But I wanted to race you.
- 6:06Now that's an offer I can't refuse.
- 6:11All right. And your mark.
- 6:13Get sick. Hey, that's.
- 6:17Jig. Hi, Mama.
- 6:25Hi Gabe. Why are you washing your
- 6:27clothes? Well, something very exciting is
- 6:30gonna happen 3 days from now, so why don't you bring me your
- 6:33Nasus outfit and I'll wash it for you.
- 6:35Why? Well, Moses said that Jehovah
- 6:38Shama is coming down that mountain in three days.
- 6:40Who's coming? Down the mountain, Jehovah
- 6:42Shama. Yes, John is.
- 6:44Coming well. He is very excited about
- 6:48Jehovah. That's a good thing, Mama.
- 6:51Is it true? That Shamma the.
- 6:53Whale is. Shaving the whale?
- 6:57Not that I know of. Mary.
- 6:58No. Oh.
- 6:59That. Gabe, I knew.
- 7:01He was like. He told me.
- 7:03That you told. Him to go get his dirtiest.
- 7:05Clothes because. We were gonna walk up the
- 7:07mountain to see. Shamma the.
- 7:08I did not tell Gabe that we were gonna see a whale.
- 7:11I told Gabe that in three days, Jehovah Shama was gonna be up on
- 7:16the mountain. Is that what Moses?
- 7:20Was talking about. Yes.
- 7:21That's what Moses was talking about.
- 7:23Now bring me all your dirty clothes so I can wash them.
- 7:26You need to look nice for Jehovah shama.
- 7:27OK. Mama.
- 7:29Mama. Yes.
- 7:31What is Jehovah Shama? Well, Mary Jehovah Shama means
- 7:35the Lord is present. Present.
- 7:38Yes, yes. It is such a delight to see my
- 7:43children so excited about the Lord Mama.
- 7:47Why is? God giving Mary a present and
- 7:50not me. And I have no idea what you're
- 7:52talking about, Eli. Mary said that Jehovah Shama was
- 7:55going to go to the top of the mountain on her birthday.
- 7:58And gave her a birthday present. Mary's birthdays in three days.
- 8:02I forgot about that. So it's true, no?
- 8:06Yes. No, not the birthday.
- 8:09I told Mary that Jehovah Shama was going to be up on the
- 8:11mountain in three days. That's what I told.
- 8:14So Gabe was right. We.
- 8:16Can build her own SeaWorld. Boy, what is a SeaWorld?
- 8:19No, Gabe was not right. Don't listen to your little
- 8:22brother. I told both of them that Jehovah
- 8:25Shama is going to be on the mountain in three days.
- 8:27Jehovah Shama means that the Lord is present.
- 8:32And by present, I mean that the Lord is there.
- 8:37Yeah, now you get it. But when's the last time you
- 8:40watched this? Don't tell me I don't wanna
- 8:43know. Just bring me all your dirty
- 8:44clothes so I can wash them, so you can look presentable for
- 8:48Jehovah Shama when we go up on that man.
- 8:51I'll need to clean. More than my dirty clothes,
- 8:54Mama, God does not like. But Mama.
- 8:57Boy, you better not be doing something dumb.
- 9:02You are you gonna have to deal with Mama Shama?
- 9:08What entire nation is wrong with you, Abner?
- 9:11What did I do, Mama? You keep shooting off your mouth
- 9:15about wanting to go back to Egypt.
- 9:17We'd be better off in Egypt. You've been saying that for a
- 9:20month now. Well, it's the truth.
- 9:23Truth. You wouldn't know the truth if
- 9:25it smacked you in the head. What's the truth, Mama, since
- 9:28you know so much? God's word is the truth.
- 9:31If God promised to take us to the promised land, then that's
- 9:35good enough for me. But it ain't good enough for my
- 9:37boy. Abner is it?
- 9:40Oh, Mama. Don't you remember when we were
- 9:42in Egypt? We were slaves, Abner.
- 9:44OK, so you had a little food to put in that belly of yours, but
- 9:48you worked like a dog from sun up till sundown.
- 9:51And boy, did you moan and groan. Oh, God, get us out of here.
- 9:57You used to pray every night. Now listen to you.
- 9:59But Mama, we're out here in the middle of nowhere, with no roof
- 10:03over our heads and nothing to eat or drink.
- 10:05We could die out here. That's what.
- 10:08You said when Pharaoh and his army came chasing after us,
- 10:11we're gonna die. We can't go forward cuz the Red
- 10:15Sea is in front of us and Pharaoh's army is behind us.
- 10:19Then God split the Red Sea. What was that you said then,
- 10:22Abner? I can't remember.
- 10:24I said. I knew God wouldn't leave us out
- 10:26here to die. That was the first intelligent
- 10:29thing you said since we left Egypt.
- 10:31In fact, that's the first intelligent thing you said your
- 10:34entire life. Oh Mama, now you're
- 10:36exaggerating. Am I?
- 10:39Who was the one cried when we first left Egypt because we had
- 10:42to up and leave with no time to pack anything?
- 10:44Oh. Come on, we had to pack on a
- 10:47moment's notice. What in the name of love were
- 10:49you going to pack the hey, we used to make bricks.
- 10:52We didn't own anything, Abner. We were slaves.
- 10:56Well, you know how I hate to do anything last minute.
- 10:58Last minute, my foot. You just hate doing anything,
- 11:02Period. The Egyptians were giving us
- 11:04their gold and silver, but you didn't want any because you said
- 11:07it's too. Heavy to carry.
- 11:09What is wrong with you? You must take after your father,
- 11:14cuz you sure enough didn't get any of that from me.
- 11:16Well, you took enough silver and gold for the two of us.
- 11:20It would take a mule to carry everything you picked out.
- 11:23I would have picked out a lot more if I could have gotten you
- 11:25to carry anything. I had to carry it on myself.
- 11:30Is your back bothering you well? What do you think?
- 11:33I've been doing the work of a mule.
- 11:36Come on, everyone's leaving. I'll help you carry the silver
- 11:40and gold. Only if you promise not to moan
- 11:43and groan about it. I promise, and I won't say
- 11:46anything about going back to Egypt either.
- 11:49Now that's my boy. Where are you, Moses?
- 12:00You've been gone too long. The people are getting nervous.
- 12:04They want me to make them a golden calf.
- 12:08What do I do? I should tell them no.
- 12:15Here's some more. Jewelry for the Golden.
- 12:17Calf Where do you? Want it in the pot by the fire?
- 12:23Abner, what does your mother think about all this?
- 12:26You mean Moses being gone so long?
- 12:29She's not worried about Moses at all?
- 12:32She says God is talking to him and he's probably got a lot to
- 12:36say about us and the way we're acting down here.
- 12:40What does she mean the way we're acting?
- 12:43Why don't you ask her yourself? There you are.
- 12:49I've been looking all over the wilderness for you.
- 12:52Where have you been? Just helping, Mr. Aaron.
- 12:56What is wrong with you? Didn't I tell you not to get
- 13:01involved in this calf making scheme?
- 13:04Mama, I'm not a little boy anymore.
- 13:07I'm a man. I can make my own.
- 13:10The only man in this camp is up on that mountain talking to God.
- 13:16Aaron, you ought to be ashamed of yourself.
- 13:19I don't know how you could be, Moses.
- 13:21Brother, you must take after your father.
- 13:24Moses has been up there a long time.
- 13:26What if he doesn't come? Back you finished leading us to
- 13:29the promised land. He left you in charge.
- 13:32I can't. What if God isn't really God?
- 13:35We'll be stuck out in this desert all by ourselves.
- 13:38We'll die out here. Let me see if I got this right.
- 13:42There's no God, so you're going to make a golden calf like the
- 13:46Egyptians used to worship. Who, by the way, Or all but
- 13:49vanish with no army to call their own because they drowned
- 13:52in the Red Sea. And now this golden calf is the
- 13:56one who brought us out of Egypt. I didn't see no golden calf
- 14:00split the Red Sea. It sounds to me like you're
- 14:03being lured into a big mess. I don't have time for this right
- 14:08now. I have to finish making the
- 14:09Golden Calf for the feast tomorrow.
- 14:14God. Give him the power to overcome
- 14:18temptation. Aaron, I would hate to be in
- 14:23your sandals when Moses gets back, do.
- 14:28You think Moses will come back? If I did, you think I'd be doing
- 14:32this? One of God's commandments is not
- 14:35to worship idols. Do you think Moses will come
- 14:38back? I don't know, but Mama's never
- 14:40been wrong before. Well, let's hope she's wrong
- 14:43this time. Otherwise, we're in big trouble.
- 14:53Hi, I'm EULA Brenner with Slave Cam.
- 14:55Thanks for watching back home in Egypt.
- 14:58Now, I bet you're wondering, where did our slaves go?
- 15:00Well, currently they are in the base of Mount Sinai.
- 15:04Moses has been up on the mountain for 40 days and 40
- 15:07nights. He's been in a conversation with
- 15:09their God about we don't know what, but the real story is what
- 15:14has been happening at the base of the mountain with the
- 15:16Israelite camp. Here comes Moses's brother,
- 15:19Aaron. Let's see if we can get a few
- 15:20words with him. Aaron.
- 15:23You. Scared me.
- 15:24I'm sorry. Weird.
- 15:25Why? Do you keep following us around?
- 15:27Well, because it's the hottest show in Egypt right now.
- 15:30Where did our slaves go? There's even a lottery betting
- 15:34to see how long you guys are going to last in the desert.
- 15:37We're just informing the Egyptian people they have a
- 15:39right to know. Well, if I were.
- 15:41You I'd stay clear of Moses. He's a little, you know.
- 15:44Upset and why is that? Well, because when he was at the
- 15:47top of the mountain and he didn't come down, well, we.
- 15:50Thought that he burned in the fire.
- 15:52I did it. The people did anyway.
- 15:55They wanted a God to lead them through the desert.
- 15:57So what I did was I grabbed all the jewelry, threw it in the
- 16:01fire, and then bail out came a golden calf.
- 16:06He threw the gold into the fire and out came a golden calf.
- 16:10Yeah, like. Brown.
- 16:12That's not how that works, Period.
- 16:15No, it happened. It didn't.
- 16:17You're supposed to take jewelry and heat it until it, like,
- 16:22whifies, and then somebody has to take that gold and mold it
- 16:27into a shape like a calf. I believe that is a more
- 16:32accurate account of what has happened here tonight, correct?
- 16:35Yeah, no comment. That's all I have to say, but
- 16:39no. We just wanted to know what
- 16:40happened with the gold. And yeah, OK, it seems that
- 16:44God's chosen people have abandoned their one true God and
- 16:49began worshiping a golden calf. Maybe all of their time in
- 16:55Egypt, where we worship idols daily, has influenced them in
- 16:58their time of crisis. It is still unclear as to what
- 17:04the condition of Moses is. As you know, being 40 days and
- 17:0940 nights up on a mountain with no food or no water that we know
- 17:12of can take its toll on a person's body.
- 17:15Oh, you look. Excuse me.
- 17:16Sorry, didn't interrupt. Have you seen Erin?
- 17:19Well, he just Moses, can we just ask one question?
- 17:22Fine. Is it true that the Israelites,
- 17:26God's chosen people, have completely abandoned God and you
- 17:29and began worshiping a golden calf?
- 17:31That is not true. We worship and serve the one
- 17:35true God, Jehovah M Kadesh, the Lord who sanctifies us.
- 17:39He set us apart to do His will on the earth.
- 17:41We are his chosen people. Right.
- 17:44So you mean to tell us that there was number Golden Calf
- 17:48made and worshiped here tonight? There was a golden calf, but I
- 17:52have destroyed it, for we worship the one true God, and
- 17:56him only do we serve. So I'm going to ask another
- 18:00question, the question that everybody back at home wants to
- 18:03know what exactly happened up on Mount Sinai?
- 18:07Well, the Lord had given us His laws written on stone tablets
- 18:10for us to follow so that the whole world can see that we have
- 18:13been set apart for His purpose. What?
- 18:15Kind of laws. Don't steal, don't kill.
- 18:19Those sort of things. Worship God.
- 18:22Don't worship idols. Like a golden calf.
- 18:25So you mean to tell me that while you were up on Mount
- 18:27Sinai, receiving these laws from your God, the people of Israel
- 18:31were down at the bottom of Mount Sinai, breaking all your laws?
- 18:35Which is why I threw the tablets down.
- 18:37I was so angry at their actions. But we are still God's chosen
- 18:41people, and He will lead us into the promised land like he said,
- 18:44for he was a God that cannot lie.
- 18:47So will you be going back to Egypt?
- 18:49No, we will not return to Egypt. We will go to the promised land
- 18:52that excuse me. Well, it seems to me that God's
- 18:58chosen people are in desperate need of a savior.
- 19:01Why any God would choose a stiff, necked group of people to
- 19:07claim still amazes me. That's all we have for tonight.
- 19:12Thank you for joining us on Slave Camp.
- 19:14I'm EULA Brenner. We'll see you next.
- 19:22Did you see those grapes? I'm telling you, the land is
- 19:25every bit as wonderful as God said it would be.
- 19:28God has given it to us. Tell them, Caleb.
- 19:31It truly is a land flowing with milk and honey.
- 19:34Well, not really milk and honey. It's a land flowing with health
- 19:39and prosperity. Let us go up at once and possess
- 19:42it. God is with us.
- 19:46Wait. Joshua is right.
- 19:48That land is wonderful, even more wonderful than I thought.
- 19:53But there are giants living there.
- 19:56We cannot defeat them. We can defeat them.
- 20:00We have God on our side. He has given us authority over
- 20:03the enemy. We look like grasshoppers next
- 20:06to those giants. I would rather have my friends
- 20:10and family go back to Egypt and live as slaves than they have to
- 20:14fight those giants. Get real.
- 20:17Listen to me. God delivered us from Egypt.
- 20:20He brought us through the Red Sea.
- 20:23He defeated Pharaoh and his army.
- 20:25He has fed us mana and quail out here in the wilderness.
- 20:29God did not send us to spy out the land to make us afraid.
- 20:33He sent us to give us hope, to give us something to look
- 20:36forward to. Now come and let us go.
- 20:39Take the land. We all know what God has done
- 20:44for us. We are all grateful.
- 20:47But I think it is time we go back to Egypt.
- 20:51We cannot possess this land, for the giants are too strong.
- 20:58Do not be afraid. God would not have told us to go
- 21:01in if we couldn't defeat them. We must not rebel against the
- 21:05Lord. We can overcome our enemies now
- 21:08come, let us go and take the land.
- 21:14There were twelve of us that spied out the land.
- 21:17Of the 12, these are the only two that believe we can defeat
- 21:21the giants. The rest of us will agree that
- 21:24it's impossible to fight them. If Moses will not take us back
- 21:29to Egypt, then let us elect a new leader at once to take us
- 21:33back. Why you?
- 21:36It's no use, Joshua. Let him go.
- 21:39If it weren't for Moses, you'd still be a slave making bricks
- 21:42seven days a week. Come on, Caleb.
- 21:45Let me beat him up. Joshua settled down.
- 21:48It won't do any good. He's afraid.
- 21:50He's listening to the devil. If I was God, I'd ZAP them all
- 21:53with lightning. Let's be glad you're not God.
- 21:56Those are our friends. So now what?
- 21:59Well, we're going to have to wait for 40 years in this
- 22:02wilderness until all of them die, and then you and I and
- 22:05their children will go into the promised land and defeat the
- 22:08giants. What makes you so sure I've read
- 22:10the end of the book. Oh wait, what book?
- 22:15What book?
