- 0:22Speaker 1: uh who stayed up to watch the Colorado Colorado State
- 0:25Speaker 1: game to the middle of the night.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Oh my god, like all of us, like all of us,
- 0:30Speaker 3: like like all in I uh, not only about the game.
- 0:34Speaker 3: So here here's what I'm saying, like cause I know
- 0:36Speaker 3: you guys probably know Jeremy Bloom has already started as
- 0:39Speaker 3: fun so they can do the collection for for Prime.
- 0:42Speaker 2: He put in a hundo, right, he put undred in every.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Every week is now an infomercial for Colorado. I'm waiting
- 0:47Speaker 3: for my daughter to be like, hey, Dad, i think
- 0:48Speaker 3: I'm an apply to Colorado.
- 0:49Speaker 4: Like it's kind of like it's kind of like the
- 0:53Speaker 4: end thing, like I'm finding myself like hey, you know,
- 0:56Speaker 4: like it's nice and all this good guys the.
- 1:00Speaker 5: Celebrity Let me tell you, guys everywhere, Oh my gosh,
- 1:03Speaker 5: it was I mean, look, you know, uh Wheezy's leading
- 1:06Speaker 5: the team out, like, come on, like it's nobody in college.
- 1:11Speaker 5: It's it's ridiculous. Here's here's the other thing, all right.
- 1:16Speaker 5: I come at this from a good husband point of view. Okay,
- 1:19Speaker 5: because I had just taken Kina and the boys to
- 1:23Speaker 5: Indiana with me to watch the Au Louisville game.
- 1:25Speaker 6: They came. We were on the way back.
- 1:27Speaker 5: Caana is thank you stop great in.
- 1:32Speaker 6: The second half, going to be better. Back to five
- 1:34Speaker 6: hundred this week.
- 1:35Speaker 5: Caina is a Colorado state alone, so she went to
- 1:38Speaker 5: the state and so we're on the plane back.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:43Speaker 5: So we had connected to Detroit and we're flying back,
- 1:45Speaker 5: and so we catch the entire game, right, and you know,
- 1:49Speaker 5: I'm looking at this from a good husband point of view.
- 1:51Speaker 6: I'm like, this.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Broadcast is I mean, like, do they know on the
- 1:54Speaker 1: state's point, it's all Colorado.
- 1:56Speaker 3: We don't need They're just a foil. We don't need them.
- 1:59Speaker 3: We don't want them to.
- 2:00Speaker 6: I mean, I.
- 2:03Speaker 5: Understand the allred, I understand, like everything that's going on
- 2:06Speaker 5: is very exciting, but come on, there's kids over there too.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Now, No, this was hey buck buck, We're uh, I know,
- 2:11Speaker 1: we had similar childhoods. You know what that reminded me of.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Reminded me of like a Saturday morning, and it was
- 2:17Speaker 1: this match between Jimmy super Flight Snooker and Bill Bill Smith.
- 2:25Speaker 6: I mean, like the Washington generals over here.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Don't care about that. We came to see the American
- 2:31Speaker 3: dream Dusty Rhodes. I don't care, Like, hey, I want
- 2:35Speaker 3: to see my guy getting with the people's all over
- 2:39Speaker 3: the atomic elbow drop, I want.
- 2:41Speaker 6: I don't look.
- 2:42Speaker 3: I get that, and I am excited that you're doing
- 2:45Speaker 3: the good husband thing, like I understand that.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Like I'm with them, like, hey, the rams a good fight.
- 2:49Speaker 3: They actually gave us a good because everyone was talking
- 2:52Speaker 3: about the blowout and all that player. So I'm it
- 2:58Speaker 3: was great and I was, but I'm sitting there like, hey, minute,
- 3:01Speaker 3: are they gonna lose to Colorado State? I might have
- 3:03Speaker 3: to stay up and figure out how.
- 3:06Speaker 2: I'll tell you what. The network executives were gripping watching that.
- 3:09Speaker 1: I can promise you, oh my god, because he is
- 3:12Speaker 1: ratings gold and the longer they can ride that gravy train,
- 3:15Speaker 1: the better for everybody. So they were I've been to
- 3:17Speaker 1: they were a little bit nervous and Colorado took their
- 3:20Speaker 1: foot off the gas a little bit late and that
- 3:23Speaker 1: was enough and shoot it a nice up get them
- 3:24Speaker 1: down the field. But hey, look, that's college football. We
- 3:26Speaker 1: usually stayed college football for later in the week, but
- 3:28Speaker 1: I had to find out top of the episode if
- 3:30Speaker 1: you guys were in with me, because I'm sitting there,
- 3:31Speaker 1: look at the clock, going.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Go to bed.
- 3:32Speaker 1: You moron, what are you doing? You got to be
- 3:34Speaker 1: up in like four or five hours. Why are you
- 3:36Speaker 1: awake in Nashville watching this game. I couldn't turn it off,
- 3:40Speaker 1: couldn't so. But we were all in the same boat there.
- 3:44Speaker 1: All right, we're gonna do our games here. We always
- 3:46Speaker 1: take eight games and try and dig into them. I'll
- 3:48Speaker 1: start us off here, boys, with the first one, the
- 3:50Speaker 1: one I was at. The Chargers dropped zero and two.
- 3:53Speaker 1: They lose on the road against the Titans. It was
- 3:55Speaker 1: a come from behind when for Tennessee on their side
- 3:58Speaker 1: of things. Ryan Tannel did what he always does against
- 4:01Speaker 1: the Chargers. He plays well against them. There's a big
- 4:03Speaker 1: week for him coming off last week. You needed to
- 4:05Speaker 1: see him show some signs of life. This is a
- 4:07Speaker 1: team that kind of under the radar lost eight games
- 4:09Speaker 1: in a Row lost their last seven last year and
- 4:12Speaker 1: then and then the opener this year, so he needed
- 4:14Speaker 1: a performance and he had one. He was twenty to
- 4:16Speaker 1: twenty four, two forty six. He ran one in on
- 4:18Speaker 1: an option which was a pretty slick play, and then
- 4:20Speaker 1: had had a touchdown pass Derrick Henry eighty yards. You know,
- 4:24Speaker 1: it wasn't anything that you know, blew y Away with
- 4:26Speaker 1: the Charge did a pretty decent job against him. But
- 4:29Speaker 1: this game came down to two things. Number one, it
- 4:31Speaker 1: was explosive plays. Those were the touchdown drives with the Titan.
- 4:35Speaker 1: The Chargers defense I think had five sacks. They played well,
- 4:38Speaker 1: got after it. Bosa had two, but they gave up
- 4:41Speaker 1: two home run balls and their home run balls where
- 4:44Speaker 1: you're rushing four dropping seven and they're in seven man protection,
- 4:49Speaker 1: running two man routes three if you want to count
- 4:51Speaker 1: the back leaking out late, like, you can't give up
- 4:54Speaker 1: home run balls in that situation. So you gave up
- 4:57Speaker 1: big plays. That was the number one reason. And then
- 4:59Speaker 1: the number two reason was you have dumb penalties. You
- 5:02Speaker 1: had two personal fouls on third downs where you're off
- 5:05Speaker 1: the field that results in a scoring drive. So Buck,
- 5:09Speaker 1: I'll go to you on this one. It just feels
- 5:10Speaker 1: like you're when you're playing one possession games, and so
- 5:13Speaker 1: many of these games are one possession games. I feel
- 5:16Speaker 1: like it's these details. It's last week if you're the
- 5:18Speaker 1: Chargers and you have you have just Sir Taylor on
- 5:21Speaker 1: Tyreek Hill on the biggest third down late in the
- 5:24Speaker 1: game with no help and you lose. And this week,
- 5:26Speaker 1: on two of the biggest downs late in the game,
- 5:30Speaker 1: you have DeAndre Hopkins, their best wide receiver on a
- 5:33Speaker 1: Loie Gilman your safety with twelve yards of cushion and
- 5:36Speaker 1: no help, and that's where the ball goes. Like you
- 5:38Speaker 1: can't like, those are details, and in a league where
- 5:41Speaker 1: there's so many one possession games, I feel like, man,
- 5:44Speaker 1: it's that's what it comes down to. It's those details.
- 5:46Speaker 1: And hats off to Rabel and the Titans. They got
- 5:49Speaker 1: to win.
- 5:50Speaker 3: They did get a rent, and so one thing Mike
- 5:53Speaker 3: Rabel and the Titans is underdogs twenty three wins when
- 5:57Speaker 3: they've been the underdog going into a game like he
- 5:59Speaker 3: does a great job of making every game a close
- 6:01Speaker 3: when even when he's overmatched, does a great job of
- 6:04Speaker 3: kind of finding a way to kind of win the
- 6:06Speaker 3: little margins that put tilts the game and his team's favor.
- 6:10Speaker 3: But as you talk about with the Charges, and you
- 6:11Speaker 3: talk about the league really being a one score league
- 6:13Speaker 3: because most of the games are decided about eight points
- 6:15Speaker 3: of fewer. And it's about turnovers, it's about penalties pre
- 6:19Speaker 3: snap and foolish penalties and big plays allowed and DJ
- 6:22Speaker 3: you talked about the trifecta. If you turn it over,
- 6:25Speaker 3: you give up the big plays, and if you have
- 6:26Speaker 3: dumb penalties, a sportsman like penalties and those things, you're
- 6:30Speaker 3: going to lose games. And what the Titans do, because
- 6:34Speaker 3: Rabel comes from that Patriots way thing like they kind
- 6:36Speaker 3: of wait for you to implode, and if you give
- 6:39Speaker 3: it to them, they're taking because they're always in range.
- 6:42Speaker 3: And the thing that's troubling if you're the Charges right now,
- 6:45Speaker 3: like you're looking up in the division already, like you're
- 6:48Speaker 3: looking up at the can't see the Chiefs, and the
- 6:50Speaker 3: can't see the Chiefs because they came down to Jacksonville
- 6:53Speaker 3: and do it, they do it, they continue to win.
- 6:56Speaker 3: Is are you ever going to close the gap on
- 6:59Speaker 3: them being more buttoned up than they are? Because I
- 7:02Speaker 3: can't say that the Chiefs are the most buttoned up team.
- 7:05Speaker 3: But when they have a quarterback like that, he can
- 7:07Speaker 3: help them skip steps. The Chargers have to be more
- 7:10Speaker 3: down in and button up to win those games. And
- 7:11Speaker 3: they can't give away a game that everyone would say
- 7:14Speaker 3: that they're supposed to beat the Titans. You can't give
- 7:16Speaker 3: those games away because it cost you down the stretch.
- 7:19Speaker 5: Yeah, I would just give some credit to Ryan Tannehill,
- 7:22Speaker 5: as you kind of did there at the top each.
- 7:23Speaker 5: I mean, this is the guy who was kind of
- 7:25Speaker 5: left for dead last week, you know, with the multi
- 7:27Speaker 5: interception game.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Down thinking if this goes bad at that, like we
- 7:31Speaker 1: might see somebody else in the second half of this game.
- 7:33Speaker 2: That's kind of what I was killing.
- 7:35Speaker 5: Yeah, and I don't know that you're wrong there, but
- 7:38Speaker 5: I think look, credit to Mike Vrabel, you know, credit
- 7:41Speaker 5: to that offensive staff for getting Ryan Tannehill in some
- 7:43Speaker 5: positions you know where he felt comfortable. Twenty twenty four,
- 7:46Speaker 5: you know against anybody is pretty then good. You know,
- 7:48Speaker 5: to be that efficient with the football and then you
- 7:52Speaker 5: know you've got Derek Henry to eat some clock too,
- 7:55Speaker 5: and then you know using you know, it was only
- 7:57Speaker 5: the one carry, but it ends up going for the touchdown.
- 7:59Speaker 6: Run a little triple o.
- 8:01Speaker 5: Look, I love having that in your bag, you know,
- 8:03Speaker 5: especially with an athlete like Tannehill. He's got the wheels,
- 8:06Speaker 5: use them, and so I just I just thought that
- 8:08Speaker 5: it was nice to see a team, you know, back
- 8:10Speaker 5: up their their quarterback that's kind of gone through some
- 8:12Speaker 5: trials and tribulation to the last state games now and
- 8:15Speaker 5: comes back out and sees the fruits of the labor.
- 8:17Speaker 5: So credit to the Titans certainly, And I think the
- 8:21Speaker 5: Charger's gotta be a lot better than third down too.
- 8:22Speaker 5: My goodness, you got to find a way to extensive
- 8:24Speaker 5: drives there.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Yeah, no, it was that was that was not great.
- 8:28Speaker 1: That was a big key to the game. They didn't
- 8:29Speaker 1: finish drives down the red zone and they weren't great
- 8:31Speaker 1: on third down. Bucket where we're why don't you jump
- 8:34Speaker 1: in tell us about your ballgame you had with the Jags.
- 8:37Speaker 1: A tough one against the Chiefs.
- 8:38Speaker 3: Yeah, tough one against the Chiefs. But here's what I'll
- 8:40Speaker 3: say about the kN Cy. The Chiefs, as long as
- 8:41Speaker 3: they have their big three, they're always going to be
- 8:44Speaker 3: in the title hunt. Their big three is Pat Mahomes,
- 8:47Speaker 3: Chris Jones and Travis Kelce and in watching this game, man,
- 8:50Speaker 3: the Chiefs did not bring their a game. This was
- 8:53Speaker 3: a team that was kind of spluttering on offense for
- 8:55Speaker 3: most of the day. The Jaguars got three turnovers, had
- 8:59Speaker 3: a plus two advantage and the takeaway thing. But yet
- 9:03Speaker 3: the Chiefs found a way at the end of the
- 9:05Speaker 3: half to go ahead. And the reason why is because
- 9:08Speaker 3: the Jaguars could not get it going because Chris Jones
- 9:11Speaker 3: was unblockable and what Steve Spagnolot did because did you
- 9:15Speaker 3: let me tell you one, you have the better job
- 9:17Speaker 3: right now in terms of you're in the booth. I'm
- 9:19Speaker 3: on the field.
- 9:20Speaker 2: It was one hundred Oh, I can't imagine how hot
- 9:22Speaker 2: it was.
- 9:23Speaker 3: It was one hundred and twenty two degrees.
- 9:25Speaker 5: A second hold on, a seconds hold on Bucky because
- 9:30Speaker 5: did you see Baldy down there?
- 9:32Speaker 6: Did you happen to see Baldy?
- 9:33Speaker 3: I didn't, can you guys?
- 9:34Speaker 2: Was he soaked?
- 9:35Speaker 6: Look at this?
- 9:36Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, Oh yeah, he's soaked through. Oh hey,
- 9:40Speaker 2: that's that's strong.
- 9:41Speaker 6: Oh you were getting after it down there on the field.
- 9:43Speaker 2: I appreciate it.
- 9:43Speaker 6: You were down there in the heat. Oh man, so
- 9:46Speaker 6: I get I feel your pain. Buck.
- 9:47Speaker 3: So I had to find a tent in the middle
- 9:49Speaker 3: of the second quarter, and so I was like, man,
- 9:51Speaker 3: where's the tin at? I need to like just kind
- 9:53Speaker 3: of cool out for a minute, so to think about
- 9:55Speaker 3: how hot it was for me, And I'm thinking about
- 9:57Speaker 3: Chris Jones, who hadn't been in training camp, hadn't practice.
- 9:59Speaker 3: I'm like, there's no way this dude's gonna log these
- 10:01Speaker 3: snaps and be a dominant player. Oh No, Chris Jones
- 10:05Speaker 3: showed up, and what they did Pe spag Milla said, Hey, guy,
- 10:08Speaker 3: is Diller's choice. You get the line up wherever you
- 10:11Speaker 3: want to line up, over any lineman you want to
- 10:12Speaker 3: line up and have your turn. So Walker Little you
- 10:15Speaker 3: get a turn in a John Harrison and you get
- 10:18Speaker 3: a say, oh, Brandness, sure, if you're struggling a little bit,
- 10:20Speaker 3: you get a little bit of this. And within the
- 10:23Speaker 3: first drive he had a sack, he had pressures, he
- 10:25Speaker 3: was all over the place. And what he did is
- 10:27Speaker 3: he opened it up for George Carloftis to get it
- 10:30Speaker 3: going and so their defense played well. Now Travis Kelce
- 10:34Speaker 3: on offense, he couldn't move around, he was limited. But
- 10:37Speaker 3: what he did is he gave Pat Mahomes his security blanket.
- 10:41Speaker 3: So at the end of the first half they can't
- 10:44Speaker 3: get it going. Pat Mahomes takes them down the field
- 10:45Speaker 3: because Jaguars gamble. He goes and scores and you're like, oh, oh,
- 10:49Speaker 3: they get the ball coming back that drive, Travis Kelsey
- 10:52Speaker 3: has two catches, bang bang, last one is a touchdown
- 10:55Speaker 3: on what they always do, you get down in the
- 10:57Speaker 3: red zone. Pat Mahomes kind of runs around Travis Kelsey like, oh,
- 11:00Speaker 3: post up, touchdown, puss it into the stands and I'm
- 11:04Speaker 3: sitting there and I'm saying, man, because they've won so
- 11:08Speaker 3: many games, their experience and expertise is going to allow
- 11:12Speaker 3: them to steal games, kind of like that that vintage
- 11:16Speaker 3: old team that's older than everybody. They just know how
- 11:18Speaker 3: to win. As long as they have those three guys,
- 11:20Speaker 3: they can't see the Chiefs are gonna be a viable
- 11:22Speaker 3: contendent because they're their supporting cast is fine, but those
- 11:26Speaker 3: guys know how to make the plays that need to
- 11:27Speaker 3: be made in those critical moments.
- 11:30Speaker 5: You know what I was looking at, you know and
- 11:32Speaker 5: looking at this game because I was doing Game Day
- 11:33Speaker 5: Live while this game was on, and so we would,
- 11:36Speaker 5: you know, check in periodically show some highlights from this game,
- 11:38Speaker 5: and yeah, with the one thing that I didn't realize
- 11:42Speaker 5: in showing these highlights and talking about Patrick Mahomes spreading
- 11:47Speaker 5: the football out like I have.
- 11:48Speaker 6: Never seen before.
- 11:49Speaker 5: Nine different receivers with multiple receptions, right, nobody over four
- 11:55Speaker 5: catches and then another couple of and then ends up,
- 11:58Speaker 5: you know, finding completions to two additional receiver, so he
- 12:00Speaker 5: complete passes to eleven different receivers. Meanwhile, you know, and
- 12:03Speaker 5: I guess you know it can be a bit of
- 12:05Speaker 5: a positive too. For the Jaguars. Christian Kirk was the
- 12:07Speaker 5: dude right in the past. Game today yesterday for the Jacks,
- 12:12Speaker 5: Calvin Ridley, you know, just two catches, but Kirk ends
- 12:14Speaker 5: up with eleven. So you know, it was a little
- 12:17Speaker 5: bit more concentrated on that side, which is good because
- 12:20Speaker 5: you know, if Calvin's not there, you can you can
- 12:22Speaker 5: find Kirk. But man, just the amount of different ways
- 12:25Speaker 5: that Patrick Mahomes can find completions again, even if it's
- 12:28Speaker 5: not Kelsey, I think is just dangerous depending on how
- 12:31Speaker 5: a defense wants to play them on any given week.
- 12:34Speaker 1: I'm going to transition this to your game ret with
- 12:36Speaker 1: this one to put a bow on that that Chiefs win.
- 12:39Speaker 6: Are you little?
- 12:39Speaker 1: We talked so, oh no, we're not going to go
- 12:41Speaker 1: there to me, the uh, the AFC, it's I don't
- 12:47Speaker 1: know if we're going to see a fourteen and two,
- 12:49Speaker 1: thirteen and three team this year. It is so loaded
- 12:53Speaker 1: and it's a it's a it's it is. They're going
- 12:54Speaker 1: to just beat each other up all year long. I mean,
- 12:56Speaker 1: and we'll get to it with your next game. Because
- 12:58Speaker 1: here we are with Cincinnati Bengals. A lot of teams
- 13:01Speaker 1: or a lot of folks had them, you know, kind
- 13:03Speaker 1: of a super Bowl training super Bowl pick here with
- 13:05Speaker 1: what they've done over the last few years, and here
- 13:07Speaker 1: they're sitting at oh and two o two.
- 13:10Speaker 5: Oh and twoch And you know, I think there was
- 13:13Speaker 5: a lot of talk about Joe Burrow last week, right
- 13:15Speaker 5: and you know, the worst game of his career, Carillo
- 13:18Speaker 5: passer rating, passing yards, completion percentage, you know whatever, you
- 13:21Speaker 5: and look, it wasn't a pretty game. Obviously, this game
- 13:24Speaker 5: was much better for Burrow, and I think it kind
- 13:26Speaker 5: of gets lost in the fact.
- 13:27Speaker 6: That they lost here.
- 13:28Speaker 5: But he made some big throws in his game, some
- 13:31Speaker 5: tight window throws, some sideline throws. He was threatening the needle,
- 13:35Speaker 5: you know, beautiful back of the end zone throw to
- 13:37Speaker 5: the pylon that went right through Tyler Boyd's hands and
- 13:40Speaker 5: I ended up scoring on the very next play to
- 13:41Speaker 5: t Higgins. But man, I mean like Burrow looked fine,
- 13:44Speaker 5: and they actually protected him very well in this game.
- 13:49Speaker 5: He was sacked once but only hit three times. He's
- 13:51Speaker 5: only pressured eight times, you know, depending on where you
- 13:54Speaker 5: look for that, you know, I think that what it
- 13:57Speaker 5: comes down to here in this game for the Bengals
- 14:00Speaker 5: was their defense.
- 14:01Speaker 6: They couldn't get off the field.
- 14:03Speaker 5: You want to talk about they were They allowed the
- 14:05Speaker 5: Ravens to go nine for fourteen on third down. The
- 14:07Speaker 5: Ravens had drives of thirteen, twelve, twelve, and ten plays
- 14:11Speaker 5: and scored on all of them. Bengals ran just six
- 14:15Speaker 5: plays in the first quarter. It was a very limited
- 14:17Speaker 5: possession game, and so when you weren't scoring on offense,
- 14:21Speaker 5: you found yourself, you know, in a fourteen nothing hole.
- 14:23Speaker 5: And then you know you are a ten to nothing hole,
- 14:25Speaker 5: and you get the punt return touchdown, which kind of
- 14:27Speaker 5: saves your bacon there early from Charlie Jones. But overall,
- 14:31Speaker 5: I'm not concerned about Joe Burrow in the past game.
- 14:34Speaker 5: I'd like to see a little bit more in the
- 14:36Speaker 5: run game. I thought they protected him very well. I
- 14:39Speaker 5: think defensively is where they're going to need to see
- 14:41Speaker 5: some improvement here. They allowed the Ravens to really kind
- 14:43Speaker 5: of run it up on them in the ground game
- 14:45Speaker 5: too in this one.
- 14:47Speaker 3: Yeah, what's interesting about the Bengals the h to two start,
- 14:50Speaker 3: Joe Burrow having the recurring calf injury. I'm beginning to
- 14:55Speaker 3: get a little concerned about that. Did he rush back?
- 14:57Speaker 3: Is that going to be an issue? Continues to kind
- 15:00Speaker 3: of hamper them. But you know a lot of people
- 15:03Speaker 3: didn't talk about it, but when they flipped out their
- 15:05Speaker 3: secondary this offseason, they lost both of their safeties, Jesse
- 15:09Speaker 3: Base and Vonville. I mean, say what you want about
- 15:12Speaker 3: Eli Apple was a starter. So three fourths of your
- 15:14Speaker 3: starting secondary is all gone. You're bringing in young players,
- 15:18Speaker 3: trying to fit them in. They're trying to get the
- 15:20Speaker 3: communication and stuff right, and so there are a lot
- 15:23Speaker 3: of different things that are working. But this is about
- 15:25Speaker 3: to be the way of the world for the Cincinnati Bengals,
- 15:27Speaker 3: because when Joe Burrow gets the money that he has,
- 15:30Speaker 3: you're going to have to have to live with some
- 15:32Speaker 3: of these growing pains from your young players. Zach Taylor
- 15:35Speaker 3: didn't seem too concerned after the games we started this
- 15:38Speaker 3: last year. But the difference last year and this year,
- 15:41Speaker 3: I believe the AFC is more competitive this year than
- 15:44Speaker 3: it's ever been, and falling behind two games makes it
- 15:48Speaker 3: really really hard when we think about getting to the tournament,
- 15:51Speaker 3: even though we're only in week two.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:53Speaker 1: The other thing is on the raven side of things,
- 15:55Speaker 1: I don't think they've got it all figured out just yet,
- 15:58Speaker 1: but this is what they've always done, even when they're
- 16:00Speaker 1: trying to change and morph and grow and evolve. They
- 16:03Speaker 1: win games like that's that old thing. I mean, it
- 16:06Speaker 1: sounds cliche. Winners win like the Ravens have won there
- 16:09Speaker 1: for twenty plus years. They get in these they get
- 16:12Speaker 1: these games, they don't lose them, they don't lose them,
- 16:14Speaker 1: and they're still The good thing is if you're a
- 16:15Speaker 1: Ravens fan, they're gonna get healthier and they're gonna get
- 16:18Speaker 1: more comfortable in this offense and you're going to see it,
- 16:20Speaker 1: you know, continue to grow as we go forward. So again,
- 16:23Speaker 1: Ravens off to a pretty good start here. A big
- 16:26Speaker 1: win for them over the Cincinnati Bengals.
- 16:28Speaker 2: All right, let's take quick break. We'll come back.
- 16:29Speaker 1: We'll jump into the Cowboys continue to just dominate. They
- 16:32Speaker 1: did it for the second week in a row. We'll
- 16:34Speaker 1: jump on that right after this. All right, guys, Cowboys
- 16:42Speaker 1: they forty to nothing week one over the Giants. Okay,
- 16:46Speaker 1: I got my attention. And then you come back, you've
- 16:49Speaker 1: got the Jets. Man, I would love to see what
- 16:52Speaker 1: Aaron Rodgers going in there. The hype around that game,
- 16:54Speaker 1: you had Romo and nance was all built up, and
- 16:56Speaker 1: then of course Rogers is gone, so you're gonna see.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Let's see what Zach Wilson looks like, because it's the
- 17:00Speaker 1: new Zach Wilson two point Oh what's this Jets offense
- 17:03Speaker 1: look like? And the Cowboys defense came out there completely
- 17:06Speaker 1: dominated the football game, dominated them up front. Micah Parsons
- 17:10Speaker 1: just making plays all over the place, using them as
- 17:12Speaker 1: a looper. They can do so many different things than
- 17:15Speaker 1: they couldn't they couldn't block them. There was, you know,
- 17:19Speaker 1: some interesting things on on that side of the ball
- 17:21Speaker 1: for the Jets. They didn't run the ball. Breese Hall
- 17:24Speaker 1: was tweeting about it after the game, and they get
- 17:26Speaker 1: four carries, so they didn't.
- 17:27Speaker 2: They didn't attempt to run the ball.
- 17:28Speaker 1: And I and when they do run the ball, Buck,
- 17:30Speaker 1: they should be right hand. They should be a right
- 17:33Speaker 1: handed run team. That's your power side, like they have
- 17:36Speaker 1: a power side there. It's back then vera Tucker that
- 17:40Speaker 1: that's where you want to run. They're not. They're not
- 17:42Speaker 1: running the run the other side, which I do not understand.
- 17:44Speaker 1: They go empty, And to me it's I don't know,
- 17:49Speaker 1: and I'll get you on this buck because some of
- 17:50Speaker 1: the stuff want to hit on this game, but I'll
- 17:52Speaker 1: get it over to you. But the I feel like
- 17:55Speaker 1: there's there's teams that run offenses, and there's teams that
- 17:57Speaker 1: run plays, and you kind of like the empty the
- 18:01Speaker 1: empty stuff, like you gotta be immersed in the empty
- 18:05Speaker 1: stuff if you're gonna do it. And on the broadcast,
- 18:07Speaker 1: they were hammering Zach Wilson like, hey, it's empty. You
- 18:12Speaker 1: can't you can't double hitch. I think Roma even said
- 18:14Speaker 1: you double hitch, You're gonna get sacked, and he did.
- 18:17Speaker 1: So I'm like, I'm watching it, and mind you, Zach
- 18:19Speaker 1: had some his turners were terrible. He did not play good.
- 18:22Speaker 1: I'm not excusing his his performance. But I will say this,
- 18:25Speaker 1: on that play, you've got, oh gosh, the tight end.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Why am I drawing a blank?
- 18:31Speaker 3: Here?
- 18:31Speaker 1: Give me the Zama's in the uzama, they're empty. He's
- 18:37Speaker 1: in the slot. So these running an out route book.
- 18:41Speaker 1: He gets the top of his route and he's he's
- 18:43Speaker 1: trying to give shoulder. I'm like, dude, this is empty.
- 18:47Speaker 1: The ball's got to go like this. You you are
- 18:49Speaker 1: speed cutting everything. So Zach Wilson's waiting on him to
- 18:53Speaker 1: finish his freaking dance, moves to the top of his
- 18:55Speaker 1: route and he gets sacked. But I mean, that's why
- 18:57Speaker 1: you can't just pick up a play. We're gonna do
- 18:59Speaker 1: this over that, Like you have to major in something
- 19:02Speaker 1: like That's got to be who you are and what
- 19:03Speaker 1: you do because that's a teaching point that's like less than.
- 19:05Speaker 2: One oh one when you're running empty stuff.
- 19:08Speaker 3: Yeah, my frustration with the Jets DJ. We talked about it.
- 19:13Speaker 3: We talked about like the blueprint and they should basically
- 19:15Speaker 3: just steal what the forty nine ers have done early.
- 19:17Speaker 3: We brought pretty run the football to the cows, come home,
- 19:20Speaker 3: heavy formations, do stuff to just commit to it, and
- 19:23Speaker 3: so wrote about it on Friday talked about it, wrote
- 19:26Speaker 3: about it. Hey, this is what the Jets can do
- 19:28Speaker 3: a it's not all is not lost. And then I'm like,
- 19:30Speaker 3: you tune in and you're like, all right, here we go.
- 19:32Speaker 3: We can see we can see the Jets get after
- 19:34Speaker 3: they gonna run the ball, and you're like, whoa, why,
- 19:35Speaker 3: whoa why? Hey why? Past is like to me, I
- 19:41Speaker 3: said the magic number should be thirty eight. They needed
- 19:44Speaker 3: about thirty eight rushing attempts. You know, when you hear
- 19:46Speaker 3: Shanahan talk some games, she say, hey, this is a
- 19:48Speaker 3: forty rush attempt game. Be like my god, like that's yeah,
- 19:51Speaker 3: all the game. But to me, that's what they needed.
- 19:54Speaker 3: They needed to play. Let's see if we can get
- 19:55Speaker 3: the game into the fourth quarter and make it a
- 19:57Speaker 3: fifteen minute game. And they decided that they wanted to
- 20:00Speaker 3: throw it, and you're right, Zach Wilson Sterner was were terrible.
- 20:03Speaker 3: But some of that I'm saying all the fourth quarter,
- 20:06Speaker 3: I'm saying, does not even use it. And I'm just like, like,
- 20:09Speaker 3: give you a young quarterback a chance. And you're right,
- 20:13Speaker 3: this is on solid. This is on Nathaniel Hackett if
- 20:15Speaker 3: you're going to play because you saw how they played
- 20:17Speaker 3: against Buffalo confimentary football. We're gonna run it, we're gonna
- 20:20Speaker 3: play defense, and every now and then we'll get Zach
- 20:22Speaker 3: an opportunity to push it down the field. But that
- 20:24Speaker 3: wasn't the game planning we saw against the Cowboys.
- 20:26Speaker 5: Is this a situation at all, you guys think where
- 20:30Speaker 5: we're still not yet evolved out of the Hackett and
- 20:35Speaker 5: Rogers offense to enough of what Zach can do well
- 20:41Speaker 5: with Nathaniel, Like, we're not. We have not morphed the
- 20:43Speaker 5: offense back, you know, away from the things that Aaron
- 20:47Speaker 5: was really good at and that he and Nathaniel are
- 20:49Speaker 5: really comfortable together game planning for and getting out there
- 20:52Speaker 5: in the game. And just haven't we haven't gotten to
- 20:55Speaker 5: that point yet where it's gonna be all right. Nathaniel's
- 20:57Speaker 5: got to sit down with Zach, and we just haven't
- 21:00Speaker 5: gotten enough of that yet. I mean, like, do we
- 21:02Speaker 5: give it more time? Is it gonna look better with time?
- 21:05Speaker 2: Well?
- 21:05Speaker 1: I mean, look, that might be the best defense in
- 21:08Speaker 1: the NFL. And yeah, coming off coming off a week
- 21:11Speaker 1: where you played pretty good against a really good defense
- 21:13Speaker 1: in Buffalo that just stimied the Raiders.
- 21:16Speaker 2: So and look, it doesn't get easier. Their schedule is brutal.
- 21:19Speaker 2: So but I will say, let's let's let it evolve
- 21:21Speaker 2: a little bit.
- 21:22Speaker 1: But if you if we finished the game the next
- 21:24Speaker 1: week and you look down and Breese Hall has got
- 21:26Speaker 1: four carries and Dalvin Cook's got four carries. Oh yeah,
- 21:28Speaker 1: by the way, Dalvin Cook fumbled and gave up a
- 21:31Speaker 1: short field. That's not that formula ain't gonna work. But
- 21:35Speaker 1: like even like one of the interceptions late on the
- 21:38Speaker 1: go ball, like it's a whole shot and Zach has
- 21:41Speaker 1: a hose, like that has to be a flat, firm ball.
- 21:44Speaker 1: The safety is coming back from the backside, like you
- 21:47Speaker 1: can fit that in. He's got the arm to fit
- 21:48Speaker 1: it in, and he just lofts it, puts a bunch
- 21:50Speaker 1: of air underneath it. Like that's not every throw requires
- 21:52Speaker 1: a different trajectory and velocity. He just it was the
- 21:55Speaker 1: wrong choice from that standpoint. But he made some nice throws.
- 21:59Speaker 1: He did some decent thing. He just can't be like
- 22:02Speaker 1: he's not the lead actor. If he's the lead actor
- 22:04Speaker 1: in the play, the play's gonna suck. Like he's got
- 22:06Speaker 1: to be playing in a supporting actor role or that's
- 22:08Speaker 1: not gonna work.
- 22:09Speaker 3: The one thing that I know. I just saw this tweet.
- 22:11Speaker 3: They said after the game, the teammates, five offensive teammates
- 22:14Speaker 3: surrounded Zach Wilson and encouraged him and they talked about it.
- 22:17Speaker 3: He's not the same guy, and so the coaches have
- 22:20Speaker 3: to take that and make sure that they give him
- 22:22Speaker 3: an opportunity to be successful. And it has to be
- 22:23Speaker 3: run game first, Zach Wilks second.
- 22:26Speaker 1: So on the other side of this thing, Buck, the
- 22:30Speaker 1: Cowboys offense, Dak played great. They had seven explosives. I
- 22:33Speaker 1: believe they were all. Six of the seven were Ceedee Lamb.
- 22:37Speaker 1: So I'm like, Okay, who's Seedee Lamb cooking here? What's
- 22:39Speaker 1: he got going on? And it was double move against
- 22:43Speaker 1: DJ Reid for a win. It was a seam against zone.
- 22:45Speaker 1: It was an out against zone. It was a whole
- 22:48Speaker 1: shot against zone. Like and I'm sitting here going like,
- 22:51Speaker 1: man from the from the Cowboys side of things, hats
- 22:54Speaker 1: off to you.
- 22:54Speaker 2: You executed. DAK played great.
- 22:56Speaker 1: From the Jets side of things, like you got a
- 22:59Speaker 1: Ferrari and saw Gardener, you might as well take it
- 23:01Speaker 1: out of the garage, like he's he's he's for guys
- 23:03Speaker 1: like CD Lamb, Like let him out let him go
- 23:05Speaker 1: out there.
- 23:05Speaker 2: And they don't want to play like that.
- 23:08Speaker 3: It's so it's so weird because like that's not how
- 23:10Speaker 3: solid gets down. Like they are a hybrid zone team
- 23:14Speaker 3: and you have that ferrari as you talk about a
- 23:16Speaker 3: sauce gardener, Like everyone is looking for that corner because
- 23:21Speaker 3: in that game, Hey, Sauce, this is your chance to
- 23:24Speaker 3: really solidify your inmentation as a dude. You got him
- 23:27Speaker 3: wherever he goes, and we're working around it. Some people
- 23:30Speaker 3: are not comfortable living in that world because it makes
- 23:33Speaker 3: the other team guys have to adjust. But of all
- 23:36Speaker 3: the times, yeah, you got to play man to man,
- 23:39Speaker 3: you got to make him earn his yards when you
- 23:40Speaker 3: got a superior athlete like that.
- 23:42Speaker 1: And so let me go, let me let me go
- 23:44Speaker 1: back to you on that real quick and then RTT
- 23:45Speaker 1: jumping on the back of this. The the NFL. To me, guys,
- 23:49Speaker 1: it's it's a matchup league. That's all it is. It's
- 23:53Speaker 1: a matchup league. And to me, I can understand you lose, Hey,
- 23:56Speaker 1: good on good you got me you win, But I
- 23:58Speaker 1: feel like I'm seeing it through two weeks now and
- 24:00Speaker 1: I've seen in a lot of these games and this
- 24:01Speaker 1: is another example of it. Like you get back on
- 24:03Speaker 1: the bus knowing that you you let their best player
- 24:06Speaker 1: beat up on either a zone where you weren't dialed
- 24:09Speaker 1: in on him or you didn't have your best guy
- 24:10Speaker 1: on him.
- 24:11Speaker 3: I just don't know.
- 24:11Speaker 2: That doesn't make any sense to me.
- 24:13Speaker 3: It doesn't.
- 24:14Speaker 1: I mean, I don't get it. Go home, go go swinging, man,
- 24:17Speaker 1: but don't let him. Don't let him beat you with
- 24:19Speaker 1: the bell. Did the best guy beat you?
- 24:21Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 24:21Speaker 5: Well, you know, and looking at this, you know from
- 24:24Speaker 5: the Cowboys offensive perspective, you know obviously you know hat
- 24:27Speaker 5: tipping what we saw on the defensive side, my goodness.
- 24:30Speaker 5: But I think the early returns on what we've seen
- 24:33Speaker 5: from Mike McCarthy call and plays pretty dang solid. I
- 24:36Speaker 5: think you've gotten, you know, the very best out of
- 24:38Speaker 5: Dak Prescott.
- 24:39Speaker 6: You know, very efficient Dak.
- 24:41Speaker 5: You're talking about thirty one completions only going for two
- 24:43Speaker 5: hundred and fifty five yards. May not have seen that
- 24:45Speaker 5: in years past, but you'll take that because it's a
- 24:48Speaker 5: goose egg by the interception column. And then on the
- 24:50Speaker 5: other side, look, Tony Pollard, you know that's a that
- 24:53Speaker 5: is a tough front and right in a really good
- 24:56Speaker 5: second level.
- 24:57Speaker 6: That front seven for the Jets as good as anybody
- 24:59Speaker 6: in the league.
- 25:00Speaker 5: And they kept pounding it right twenty five carries for
- 25:04Speaker 5: Tony Pollard and didn't get you know, didn't shy away
- 25:06Speaker 5: even though they were only you know.
- 25:07Speaker 6: They were sub three yards of carry for much of
- 25:09Speaker 6: the game.
- 25:10Speaker 5: So, you know, I think that commitment to the run
- 25:12Speaker 5: game is showing some some dividends.
- 25:15Speaker 6: And this you know, kind of new.
- 25:19Speaker 5: Way of going about attacking defenses from a play calling
- 25:24Speaker 5: perspective for Dallas is showing some really positive early returns.
- 25:28Speaker 6: We'll obviously keep an eye on it down the stretch here.
- 25:29Speaker 3: That's a good note on a Mike McCarthy because I
- 25:32Speaker 3: don't think people really understand how good of a play
- 25:34Speaker 3: call he was. A lot of it was attributed to
- 25:36Speaker 3: Aaron Rodgers, but one of the things he talked about
- 25:38Speaker 3: the offseason is making sure the running game has to
- 25:40Speaker 3: be a factor to make the game easy for the quarterback.
- 25:43Speaker 3: And so the commitment to the running game, you see,
- 25:45Speaker 3: is not just to pound it control the clock. It
- 25:47Speaker 3: is to unlock some of the big plays that we're
- 25:50Speaker 3: seeing from Yah Prescott and to make the game easy
- 25:52Speaker 3: for the quarterback, and so I get that and maybe
- 25:55Speaker 3: sometimes it's the experience of a long time guy that
- 25:58Speaker 3: can do it.
- 25:59Speaker 2: What's the next one? Here we go?
- 26:00Speaker 3: Okay, oh, got the Niners and the Rams the Niners.
- 26:03Speaker 3: The Niners come down to La taking over Who's house
- 26:07Speaker 3: and just doing what they've always done with Kyle Shanahan
- 26:10Speaker 3: and Sean McVay like this is. I mean, we talk
- 26:13Speaker 3: about big brother, little brother, knowing each other and doing
- 26:16Speaker 3: those things, but there's something about Kyle Shanahan. He just
- 26:19Speaker 3: understands how to play against the Rams and Rayanie Morris
- 26:22Speaker 3: one of his best friends. But the Niners offense man
- 26:26Speaker 3: Christian McCaffrey going over one hundred yards brock Purty looking
- 26:29Speaker 3: like a like a casino dilla, just mak ingim play
- 26:31Speaker 3: after play and play the swag that he has and
- 26:34Speaker 3: all this other stuff. Man, I'm gonna tell you for
- 26:36Speaker 3: he got to be the seventh round pick, mister irrelevant.
- 26:39Speaker 3: I don't know if that I've ever ever seen a
- 26:42Speaker 3: more perfect fit with this dude in this offense, with
- 26:45Speaker 3: this play call it. It is amazing to me to
- 26:48Speaker 3: see Rock Purdy really elevate this offense the way they
- 26:52Speaker 3: haass and then when you hear the stories about Trent
- 26:54Speaker 3: Williams and those guys saying they knew way back, they
- 26:57Speaker 3: knew way back in camp. It not camp, but last
- 27:00Speaker 3: year that hey, this dude has some stuff to him.
- 27:03Speaker 3: I don't know, man, I think it's the mystery that
- 27:06Speaker 3: every scout has to has to solve because if you
- 27:09Speaker 3: can find a quarterback like that, oh my gosh, man,
- 27:12Speaker 3: we need we need to figure out what the secret
- 27:14Speaker 3: sauce is. Because I'm trying to figure out what the
- 27:15Speaker 3: secret sauce is to know that Rock Faridi is a
- 27:17Speaker 3: guy because you see it each and every week for
- 27:19Speaker 3: the Niners.
- 27:20Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, I was just kind of going back
- 27:22Speaker 5: and I was driving home listening to some of this game,
- 27:26Speaker 5: and you know, I think from the forty nine ers perspective,
- 27:28Speaker 5: you just kind of take a peek at some of
- 27:30Speaker 5: the production. You're like, all right, party throws for two
- 27:32Speaker 5: hundred yards. You know, McCaffrey runs for bucks sixteen. Obviously
- 27:35Speaker 5: that's one hundred yard game. You know, your average about
- 27:38Speaker 5: six yards to pop. But I mean he was not
- 27:40Speaker 5: like an overly you know, McCaffrey did have the long,
- 27:43Speaker 5: you know, fifty one yard run, which was impressive, but
- 27:45Speaker 5: it was not like an overly you know, crazy offensive outputs.
- 27:49Speaker 5: Still they throw up thirty points. I mean they started
- 27:51Speaker 5: almost every one of their every single one of their
- 27:55Speaker 5: drives started at around the twenty five the minus twenty
- 27:57Speaker 5: five yard line. And they still, you know, kind of
- 28:00Speaker 5: methodically seven play drives, seven, play drive five, play six,
- 28:03Speaker 5: place seven, you know eleven. Like they don't go three
- 28:06Speaker 5: and out a bunch, you know, they find ways to
- 28:08Speaker 5: stay on the field and just put points on the board.
- 28:10Speaker 5: And it just it's like a cumulative thing with the Niners.
- 28:14Speaker 5: And speaking of cumulative, how about my guy Puka twenty
- 28:18Speaker 5: targets in this game with fifteen catches or you can't.
- 28:21Speaker 6: I am ashamed that I shied away from him in
- 28:24Speaker 6: this matter.
- 28:26Speaker 3: You're pick him, you're scared, you're scared, you don't give
- 28:29Speaker 3: your ward, don't aboard. Yeah, you found him, then you
- 28:32Speaker 3: let him go.
- 28:34Speaker 2: We'll have the updates on that. I don't even know
- 28:35Speaker 2: who won. I can't even remember when I picked, but
- 28:37Speaker 2: we'll find we'll find tomorrow. That storm.
- 28:39Speaker 1: But on the Puka thing, because that was always going
- 28:41Speaker 1: to put a bowl on this and then get it
- 28:43Speaker 1: back to rhet on this next game. Uh, Bucky and
- 28:46Speaker 1: I have talked for years about the wideouts and we've
- 28:49Speaker 1: used the phrase it's the polished route runners, it's the
- 28:52Speaker 1: craftsman it is. It has held so true where I
- 28:56Speaker 1: almost feel like if you go back through every draft
- 28:59Speaker 1: and we just say, Okay, these were the purest route runners.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Because I'm going back, you look at like Ceedee Lamb
- 29:05Speaker 1: who goes off today, Like you know, there was so
- 29:07Speaker 1: many white outs in that draft. I think we had
- 29:09Speaker 1: them as the top, and think we both had them
- 29:10Speaker 1: at the top. He was up there in that draft,
- 29:13Speaker 1: way up there. And Uh, because the route running it
- 29:17Speaker 1: plays man like that's and especially the more two eyed
- 29:19Speaker 1: safety stuff we're seeing all over the league. You got
- 29:22Speaker 1: to be able to uncover underneath, so you better be efficient.
- 29:24Speaker 1: You better be able to get in and out of breaks,
- 29:26Speaker 1: and you don't. And it's like they all have the
- 29:28Speaker 1: same They almost all have the same kind of formula.
- 29:31Speaker 1: They're all mid four five guys, they've all got play strength,
- 29:34Speaker 1: and they can all separate like Buckez.
- 29:37Speaker 2: This is just another example.
- 29:38Speaker 3: It's a run after catch up and DJ. But you
- 29:40Speaker 3: remember we did that study years ago and we found
- 29:42Speaker 3: that the number ones were I think the average forty
- 29:45Speaker 3: TWN was four or five four. And so I will
- 29:48Speaker 3: say this as someone as a receiver, I could never
- 29:51Speaker 3: stop like I was fast going back. I could never
- 29:53Speaker 3: stop take fifteen steps off on the comeback like Louis
- 29:56Speaker 3: Mendoza might jay. There's something to those guys because the
- 30:02Speaker 3: guys that are not as fast, they have more control
- 30:04Speaker 3: so they can stop and start and get in and
- 30:06Speaker 3: out of their breaks, whereas a lot of times it
- 30:08Speaker 3: is rare to find a guy who is fast went
- 30:11Speaker 3: up the field, can put his foot in the ground.
- 30:13Speaker 2: And then that's why Tyreek Hill is.
- 30:16Speaker 3: He's like he's a different he's a different dude, Like
- 30:19Speaker 3: you don't see many guys that can do that. But
- 30:21Speaker 3: you're right. As we continue to look and kind of
- 30:25Speaker 3: study the wide receivers that are popping, it's four or
- 30:28Speaker 3: five's route runners.
- 30:29Speaker 1: And you know, you know who my comp was on him,
- 30:31Speaker 1: by the way, when I went back and looked through
- 30:33Speaker 1: my Notesada hush Manzada, who I think had been training him.
- 30:37Speaker 1: But that was my comp for him as a route
- 30:40Speaker 1: runner because remember who who was hush was not fast
- 30:42Speaker 1: coming out, but he could but he could separate, catch everything.
- 30:46Speaker 3: I look. I timed him. Remember at the old Oregon
- 30:49Speaker 3: State facility upstairs, they were running the cafeteria own Yes, yes,
- 30:53Speaker 3: and they would run into the wall and you had
- 30:55Speaker 3: to catch him.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Yes.
- 30:56Speaker 3: I tied him up there and it was I think
- 30:59Speaker 3: it was four because I like it. I think I
- 31:02Speaker 3: my epistol whipped it instead of four to six one.
- 31:05Speaker 3: He played with Chad Johnson. He got Chad Johnson lined
- 31:07Speaker 3: up and when you did this scouting because it's funny.
- 31:09Speaker 3: Johnson Smith was a quarterback. Chad Johnson was a receiver.
- 31:12Speaker 3: TJ was on the other side. TJ did all the
- 31:15Speaker 3: dirty work. He was a guy that did all the
- 31:17Speaker 3: dirty work, the possession receiver and those things. And look
- 31:20Speaker 3: man like my guy from Rams doing it. He is
- 31:23Speaker 3: fully happened with Cooper cut what happens? Where does the
- 31:27Speaker 3: ball them go?
- 31:28Speaker 5: And they're gonna have two receivers with with twenty targets
- 31:31Speaker 5: apiece and ten catches each.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Red's trying to figure out how do they play with
- 31:37Speaker 2: three slot receivers? Like, how do we do this?
- 31:40Speaker 6: You know, don't worrieschronical?
- 31:42Speaker 2: Get his targets to Jesse? There you go, there you go?
- 31:45Speaker 2: What do you got next Red.
- 31:47Speaker 5: All right, let's uh, let's move to a really fun
- 31:51Speaker 5: game in Detroit and obviously more fun if you were
- 31:54Speaker 5: a Seahawks fan.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Full disclosure, I didn't see I did not see one
- 31:57Speaker 1: play of this game. So this is like hearing a
- 31:59Speaker 1: story for the first time.
- 32:01Speaker 2: I don't know what happened.
- 32:02Speaker 5: Okay, well, let's let's tell it, shall we? Because it
- 32:05Speaker 5: was a lot of fun and we went. We kept
- 32:06Speaker 5: coming back to this thing on Game Day Live. It's
- 32:09Speaker 5: just every couple of minutes it felt like there was
- 32:12Speaker 5: a new there was a big highlight happening.
- 32:14Speaker 6: There was a score happening again.
- 32:15Speaker 5: It was a thirty seven to thirty one game in overtime,
- 32:18Speaker 5: and I thought the quarterbacks in this game were fantastic.
- 32:22Speaker 5: Gino and Jared Goff were absolutely dueling and dealing. Okay,
- 32:28Speaker 5: I mean these guys that if I go back, I
- 32:31Speaker 5: think the opening drive for Seattle was a twelve play
- 32:36Speaker 5: seventy yard touchdown. It had a big play to dk Metcalf,
- 32:40Speaker 5: They get down to the goal line and Kenneth Walker
- 32:43Speaker 5: ends up punching it in the run game for either
- 32:45Speaker 5: team in this game were minimal. Both of these quarterbacks
- 32:48Speaker 5: were well over sixty percent completion in this game, up
- 32:52Speaker 5: near seventy seventy two in this game. I mean, Golf
- 32:55Speaker 5: was twenty eight to thirty five. Gino was thirty two
- 32:57Speaker 5: to forty one. I mean the way that they were
- 32:59Speaker 5: spreading the football around and just making big plays, chunk
- 33:03Speaker 5: plays eighteen twelve yards, twenty yards, sixteen here and there.
- 33:07Speaker 5: I mean, it was look a tough day if you're
- 33:09Speaker 5: a defensive coordinator. I don't think either team got a
- 33:12Speaker 5: ton of pressure on the opposing quarterback. In fact, I
- 33:15Speaker 5: was looking at that it was kind of one of
- 33:17Speaker 5: the reasons I was like Ginos just kind of sitting
- 33:19Speaker 5: back there and carving these guys up. You know, Aiden
- 33:21Speaker 5: Hutchinson was the only guy that was really providing any
- 33:24Speaker 5: type of pressure. They got nothing from the interior players
- 33:26Speaker 5: like Alee McNeil and Levi oenserrike for the Lions up front.
- 33:30Speaker 5: So I want to be better up there in the interior,
- 33:32Speaker 5: kind of trying to collapse that pocket a little bit.
- 33:35Speaker 5: But I just I thought both of the quarterbacks were
- 33:37Speaker 5: really good. The one mistake though, and it was kind
- 33:40Speaker 5: of hard to diagnose on the tape as you went
- 33:42Speaker 5: back and watched the interception from Golf.
- 33:44Speaker 6: That was a pick six from Trey Brown, kind of
- 33:47Speaker 6: running like a chase concept.
- 33:48Speaker 5: We had a driver, we had Josh Reynolds on a
- 33:52Speaker 5: drive route, and then they were running the chase from
- 33:54Speaker 5: the back right Jamiir Gibbs on a little Texas route
- 33:57Speaker 5: to kind of follow and get into that gap, and
- 33:59Speaker 5: it almost look looked like Golf was expecting Gibbs to
- 34:04Speaker 5: sit down. But with the concept, that just didn't seem
- 34:06Speaker 5: right because the ball is about three or four yards
- 34:08Speaker 5: behind him and then you look back, you see you
- 34:09Speaker 5: Chenner Nuoso is absolutely folding up the right back and
- 34:13Speaker 5: coming through there just provide some real pressure and so
- 34:17Speaker 5: it throws it right to Trey Brown, who takes it
- 34:19Speaker 5: to the house and that ends up being the difference
- 34:21Speaker 5: in the game. Now, he responded, well, Golf did came
- 34:23Speaker 5: back led a couple of more scoring drives. All I
- 34:25Speaker 5: got to say is both these teams really fun to
- 34:27Speaker 5: watch on offense. The past games were fantastic. I think
- 34:30Speaker 5: they can run the ball when they really want to.
- 34:32Speaker 5: But I came away really encouraged by both of those quarterbacks,
- 34:36Speaker 5: who both of which last season entered with real.
- 34:39Speaker 6: Question marks right about whether they were the guy for
- 34:41Speaker 6: their teams.
- 34:42Speaker 3: Now it's good to see both of those quarterbacks much
- 34:44Speaker 3: malign but both guys have responded really well in the
- 34:47Speaker 3: new environments. You talk about Jerry Goff playing to the
- 34:50Speaker 3: point where, look, Detroit is gonna have to kind of
- 34:52Speaker 3: write a big check to keep him around because he's
- 34:54Speaker 3: playing at that level where it doesn't make sense for
- 34:56Speaker 3: them to say, oh, we're gonna move on from him
- 34:57Speaker 3: and go and get one in the draft. Smith also
- 35:00Speaker 3: for the Seattle Seahawks, the way that he's been able
- 35:02Speaker 3: to kind of drive that offense, and we expected this
- 35:04Speaker 3: offense to be explosive and dynamic with the pieces that
- 35:06Speaker 3: they have, and they're continue to do so. It It's
- 35:10Speaker 3: funny because we talk about how tight it is in
- 35:12Speaker 3: the AFC. I think we'll begin to see some separation
- 35:15Speaker 3: in the NFC with the quarterback play. And we could
- 35:18Speaker 3: talk about Jerry Goff and Geno Smith being at the
- 35:20Speaker 3: top of the at the top of the charts when
- 35:22Speaker 3: it comes to the NFC because they asked going to
- 35:24Speaker 3: be the deciding factor in the NFC the quarterback play.
- 35:27Speaker 5: And you know, just to wrap this up, because we
- 35:30Speaker 5: did get the season or the NFL debut from a
- 35:33Speaker 5: top ten pick in the cornerback Devin Witherspoon out of
- 35:36Speaker 5: Illinois for the Seahawks played basically the entire game for
- 35:39Speaker 5: the Seahawks. I went back and watched all of his
- 35:41Speaker 5: snaps too. I thought he was excellent run support man.
- 35:44Speaker 5: His mentality, his aggressiveness, I think you saw that at
- 35:47Speaker 5: Illinois a bunch part of the reason why we loved him, Right,
- 35:49Speaker 5: He's just kind of he's a missile all over the place,
- 35:52Speaker 5: and you know he's got the speed to cover ground.
- 35:55Speaker 5: Saw it on a PBu he forced on a Sam
- 35:57Speaker 5: laporta crossing route. Problem is he's so willing in the
- 36:01Speaker 5: run game. He really got sucked up on the fleet
- 36:03Speaker 5: flicker and then Jared Goff ended up throwing a Khalif Raymond.
- 36:06Speaker 5: But he wasn't the only one. Kwandary Diggs took took
- 36:09Speaker 5: some heat on that one too. But I think they're
- 36:12Speaker 5: gonna love Witherspoon and Woolen and Trey Brown in there
- 36:16Speaker 5: as a third corner two in Seattle for many years
- 36:19Speaker 5: to come.
- 36:20Speaker 1: All Right, I'll keep us moving, but I do just
- 36:22Speaker 1: want to point out right now week two of the
- 36:23Speaker 1: season that I'm predicting this Seahawks Lions will be like
- 36:27Speaker 1: a Saturday morning playoff wild card game. That just feels
- 36:30Speaker 1: like fun. It just feels like that. That's your like
- 36:33Speaker 1: Cheerio's playoff game.
- 36:35Speaker 3: You know that is fun.
- 36:36Speaker 1: It'll be a fun It'll be a fun one, all right.
- 36:39Speaker 1: Falcons in a big win over the Packers. Sorry to
- 36:41Speaker 1: be all twenty five to twenty four dug into this
- 36:44Speaker 1: tape this morning. I want to see Ritter. Ritter was
- 36:47Speaker 1: nineteen to thirty two for what two thirty nine, two
- 36:49Speaker 1: thirty seven had a touchdown, a pick, the pick he
- 36:52Speaker 1: just gets drilled by Kenny Clark absolutely smoked in the backfield.
- 36:57Speaker 1: But Man could ad two other picks, like two other throws.
- 36:59Speaker 1: One hit kway Walk right in the chest that he dropped,
- 37:02Speaker 1: so it was a little bit spotty from from him.
- 37:04Speaker 1: But they got Drake London going, which was nice to see,
- 37:06Speaker 1: got him involved. I'm just watching this going like, man,
- 37:10Speaker 1: we this is a big win and Bjeon. I'll get
- 37:12Speaker 1: the beje on a second, but this was my thought
- 37:14Speaker 1: watching this one. We've heard so much scuttle but about man.
- 37:17Speaker 1: If you're you're the Jets, you trade for Kirk Cousins, like,
- 37:20Speaker 1: your team's ready to win right now. I'm looking at
- 37:23Speaker 1: a pretty good offensive line in Atlanta, and I'm looking
- 37:25Speaker 1: at one of the better sets of skill positions led
- 37:28Speaker 1: by I think.
- 37:28Speaker 2: B Jon Robinson. You don't.
- 37:30Speaker 1: I can't tell you one running back. I take it
- 37:32Speaker 1: for him, and I know McCaffrey and what he is.
- 37:33Speaker 1: I'm just saying, well, what I saw my eyes in
- 37:35Speaker 1: that game, he looked like Tomlinson. This I will teach
- 37:41Speaker 1: Bijeon right now. So I'm sitting here going like, shoot,
- 37:44Speaker 1: maybe the Falcons need to trade for Kirk Cousins. I mean,
- 37:46Speaker 1: I don't want to. I'm not trying to burry Desmond
- 37:49Speaker 1: Ritter here. He just he's okay. But that's a massive upgrade.
- 37:52Speaker 1: And this team this division is infinitely winnable right now,
- 37:55Speaker 1: and they are a quarterback away. So that was my
- 37:59Speaker 1: takeaway on the Falcon inside of things. On the other side,
- 38:01Speaker 1: Kay Walker, who I mentioned, seventeen tackles, he was flying
- 38:03Speaker 1: all over the field or defense played you know, they
- 38:06Speaker 1: flew around, played well obviously, don't end up getting getting
- 38:09Speaker 1: the win that you want there. Jordan Love was fine,
- 38:11Speaker 1: you know, the numbers look good. He just didn't put
- 38:12Speaker 1: up a bunch of yards. But to me, that was
- 38:15Speaker 1: my takeaway. I just came away going like, golly, they're
- 38:18Speaker 1: you throw a quarterback on Atlanta like they're ready to roll.
- 38:20Speaker 5: Yeah, and also just to button up the Jordan Lovemoart, Uh,
- 38:25Speaker 5: Bucky no Christian Watson, no David Bactieri, no Aaron Jones.
- 38:29Speaker 5: For the Packers, you talking about three kind of you know,
- 38:31Speaker 5: budding superstar players, at least in Watson's case.
- 38:34Speaker 6: Uh, Like they're gonna get better. This Packer seems gonna
- 38:36Speaker 6: be better.
- 38:37Speaker 3: They absolutely gonna be better. Then they got it better.
- 38:39Speaker 3: They have to get improve on defending the run. But
- 38:42Speaker 3: let's just talk about the Falcons in the running game
- 38:44Speaker 3: because everyone dad panned the pick when they took Jener
- 38:47Speaker 3: What are they doing? They just got tired of us?
- 38:49Speaker 3: Why would they take a running back? Why would they
- 38:51Speaker 3: be committed to this much to the running back position?
- 38:55Speaker 3: And DJ the comparison was Ladanian Thomason when Jone Robinson
- 38:58Speaker 3: was coming out. You just don't turn down with Danian
- 39:00Speaker 3: Thomlinson type when you have an opportunity to do it.
- 39:02Speaker 3: And Arthur Smith talks about last year they could run
- 39:05Speaker 3: the ball on anybody, Well, now you added better player
- 39:08Speaker 3: to a team that can run the football. The fact
- 39:10Speaker 3: that they were down in the fourth quarter still committed
- 39:12Speaker 3: to running the ball lets you know exactly how they feel.
- 39:15Speaker 3: And in a league where guys are getting smaller on defense,
- 39:19Speaker 3: the running game is a huge advantage. And Arthur Smith
- 39:22Speaker 3: has to look to the west and see what the
- 39:23Speaker 3: Niners are doing and say that if we can run
- 39:25Speaker 3: the football, it's gonna give us a chance to get
- 39:27Speaker 3: in the tournament. And then if we get a quarterback,
- 39:29Speaker 3: the right quarterback, it's gonna give a chance to win
- 39:32Speaker 3: a bunch of games to make it maybe advance far.
- 39:35Speaker 1: Remember last week buck I said, hey, they got this.
- 39:38Speaker 1: They got this new driver and it's like a teenage
- 39:40Speaker 1: driver and they just kind of drove around the neighborhood.
- 39:42Speaker 1: They let Jane get on the freeway a little bit,
- 39:44Speaker 1: and oh yeah, the game some touches they let them get.
- 39:47Speaker 2: He we're gonna go a couple accits down. We'll get
- 39:49Speaker 2: you off the freeway. But you got to open it up.
- 39:51Speaker 2: He got to.
- 39:52Speaker 1: He found he found fifth gear in this one ratt
- 39:54Speaker 1: and they opened it up a little bit.
- 39:55Speaker 6: No doubt. It was so much fun.
- 39:56Speaker 2: To watch.
- 39:56Speaker 5: I mean his cutting ability, like O, I don't think
- 40:01Speaker 5: he's just I don't think we see that anywhere else
- 40:04Speaker 5: that frequently at least. I mean the amount of moves
- 40:07Speaker 5: you can make in this framework a one play is
- 40:09Speaker 5: just so much fun to watch. So I did have
- 40:13Speaker 5: beijon in case anybody's wondering for tomorrow's show.
- 40:16Speaker 1: There you go, all right, Buck, get us to this
- 40:19Speaker 1: is our final one. Here we got into the Dolphins, Patriots.
- 40:21Speaker 1: This is the last one. What do you got?
- 40:23Speaker 3: Okay? So the Patriots and Dolphins, to me, it's really
- 40:27Speaker 3: fascinating interesting because everyone wanted to know what was Bill
- 40:30Speaker 3: Belichick going to do with Tarek Hill after watching Tabrek
- 40:33Speaker 3: Hill go absolutely bananas against the Chargers? How is he
- 40:37Speaker 3: gonna throw the blanket over? And for the most part,
- 40:39Speaker 3: they did a pretty solid job of keeping him on
- 40:42Speaker 3: the reps, didn't let him get loose. He only had
- 40:43Speaker 3: forty yards. It continues the theme where when he plays
- 40:46Speaker 3: the Patriots he's really a non factor. The thing that
- 40:48Speaker 3: finally impressed me about the Dolphins they ran the football
- 40:52Speaker 3: like this is the Dolphins that I thought we were
- 40:54Speaker 3: going to see at the beginning. In terms of running
- 40:56Speaker 3: the football Mike and danielbnd run Game Guru getting to it.
- 41:01Speaker 3: They got to it, and it really affected me because
- 41:04Speaker 3: that's the way they were able to kind of win
- 41:05Speaker 3: the game. But what I like about the Dolphins this year,
- 41:09Speaker 3: they can put you on the freeway and they can
- 41:11Speaker 3: throw it all over the yard with Wattle and Tyreek
- 41:13Speaker 3: hiel to a look. I don't know how he gets
- 41:16Speaker 3: the ball out so fast he sees the bliss. It's
- 41:18Speaker 3: like put it is out, not really taking any shots,
- 41:23Speaker 3: and so you have the ability to kind of put
- 41:25Speaker 3: the stress on opponents with the speed of your wide
- 41:27Speaker 3: receiver corps. But you have the physicality and the toughness
- 41:29Speaker 3: of the running game. If they can put this together consistently,
- 41:33Speaker 3: they're a hard team to defend.
- 41:36Speaker 1: Very buck did you ever did you ever play the
- 41:38Speaker 1: game that little device called bop It? Did you ever
- 41:41Speaker 1: like with your kids or whatever, So you know what
- 41:43Speaker 1: this thing was. There's a game called bop It. So
- 41:45Speaker 1: it's like this, It's like this stick thing and it
- 41:48Speaker 1: has a buzzer on it, and then so one of
- 41:50Speaker 1: the handles you twist it so that it has the
- 41:51Speaker 1: audio goes twist it.
- 41:53Speaker 2: So you have to twist it, it goes bop it.
- 41:55Speaker 1: Then you have to hit the thing pull it so
- 41:57Speaker 1: then you like pull the on one and then it
- 41:58Speaker 1: starts going faster and faster, and you got to listen
- 42:00Speaker 1: to it and react real quick or or the buzzer
- 42:01Speaker 1: and you lose. I bet Tua is an animal. As
- 42:06Speaker 1: I said, he was a baby ba ba ba ba
- 42:08Speaker 1: bam bam bam bam bam. Like his processing and how
- 42:10Speaker 1: quick he's getting the ball out is stupid, and a
- 42:12Speaker 1: lot of times with that you sacrifice big plays. Ret
- 42:15Speaker 1: like they're still getting chunk plays with him getting the
- 42:17Speaker 1: ball out like that.
- 42:17Speaker 3: I mean the ball comes up here.
- 42:18Speaker 5: Yeah, and it's a lot of fun to watch. I
- 42:20Speaker 5: mean he and Mike McDaniel are definitely rolling right now.
- 42:24Speaker 5: I mean the one's about to do that's five and
- 42:25Speaker 5: zero against Bill Belichick. Come on, yeah, that doesn't happen.
- 42:29Speaker 5: Come on, that does not Now. Look, I know it's
- 42:31Speaker 5: not a quarterback versus a head coach, but you just
- 42:34Speaker 5: still don't have context from that, right. Yeah. I agree
- 42:37Speaker 5: with you on that for sure. And you know what
- 42:39Speaker 5: I was kind of just looking at and you know,
- 42:41Speaker 5: as we're kind of assessing the shape in which this
- 42:44Speaker 5: Patriots offense is going to take moving forward. I mean,
- 42:48Speaker 5: fifty eight dropbacks in week one for Mac Jones, forty
- 42:51Speaker 5: seven in week two.
- 42:52Speaker 2: That ain't it.
- 42:55Speaker 5: I don't know, man, And like I think we shouldn't
- 42:58Speaker 5: really be surprised thinking about the way that Bill O'Brien
- 43:01Speaker 5: ran this Patriots offense when he was the OC before
- 43:04Speaker 5: Josh McDaniels came back.
- 43:05Speaker 6: They're throwing it all over the place.
- 43:08Speaker 3: You know.
- 43:08Speaker 5: They just they don't have Randy Moss on the on
- 43:10Speaker 5: this team, you know, I don't Just the high end
- 43:13Speaker 5: targets to me don't necessarily match up with the way
- 43:17Speaker 5: in which they're playing at this point. Maybe it will eventually,
- 43:21Speaker 5: but at this point, I don't know. I'd love to
- 43:23Speaker 5: see a little more Romandre Stevenson. I think he can
- 43:26Speaker 5: be thinking me a force, but I don't know. It's
- 43:29Speaker 5: just one of one thing that jumped out to me
- 43:30Speaker 5: on the way the Patriots are operating at this point.
- 43:32Speaker 3: DJ.
- 43:33Speaker 1: Yeah, No, it's I was gonna say it would have
- 43:36Speaker 1: been mean if you just said it, but I thought
- 43:37Speaker 1: you were getting ready to drop the They got Kate
- 43:40Speaker 1: Moss out there.
- 43:40Speaker 2: They don't have Randy Moss out there.
- 43:42Speaker 1: You could have gone, or Randy Moss who's worked at
- 43:44Speaker 1: NFL Media it's a horse racing, or Todd Moss Burn
- 43:48Speaker 1: one of our producers shut out. Yeah, all right, here's
- 43:54Speaker 1: what we're gonna do. The games we didn't touch. This
- 43:56Speaker 1: is gonna be literally less than thirty seconds. We'll just
- 43:59Speaker 1: go around the horn and I'll pick one. Then I'll
- 44:01Speaker 1: give Bucky you do the second onet, the third one.
- 44:03Speaker 1: We'll just go down the list here. So bears Bucks,
- 44:06Speaker 1: Bears Bucks to me. Mike Evans huge day. Watched all
- 44:09Speaker 1: his explosives, Baker Mayfield's throwing with anticipation the ball is out.
- 44:13Speaker 1: We talking about Tua doing that. Baker did that, and
- 44:15Speaker 1: then also Baker extending plays, So get the ball out
- 44:18Speaker 1: on time with anticipation to win, and then every now
- 44:21Speaker 1: and then extend create it. Got a broken play, got
- 44:23Speaker 1: Mike Williams on a big one there. So that was
- 44:25Speaker 1: kind of the thing that got people excited about Baker Mayfield.
- 44:28Speaker 1: You saw in this game, and Mike Williams was the beneficiary.
- 44:31Speaker 1: All right, catch Texans. Sorry, Mike Evans, there you go, yep, coach,
- 44:37Speaker 1: go ahead, build No, I.
- 44:39Speaker 3: Mean, look, I think this always comes down to Anthony
- 44:41Speaker 3: Richards in the first two scores, you see him run
- 44:43Speaker 3: around and do all the things that we talk about.
- 44:45Speaker 3: But for the second week in a row, he's been
- 44:46Speaker 3: out the game. And so if Anthony Richeson is going
- 44:49Speaker 3: to be this wonder can that does all this stuff
- 44:51Speaker 3: on the ground, he has to find a way to
- 44:53Speaker 3: protect himself. And I see a talented runner. I see
- 44:57Speaker 3: a runner that lacks a little awareness when it Hey man,
- 45:00Speaker 3: I'm about to get hit, I need to get down
- 45:02Speaker 3: or whatever. I don't think he's the most natural runner,
- 45:05Speaker 3: despite the look the tremendous physical gifts that he possesses.
- 45:09Speaker 5: Yeah, quickly for me. Raiders Bills was one that I
- 45:13Speaker 5: was watching quite a bit. Raiders run down and score
- 45:15Speaker 5: a touchdown in the opening drive, and you're like, all right,
- 45:18Speaker 5: this Raiders team beat the Broncos week one. They're rocking
- 45:20Speaker 5: and rolling here on the road for second straight week.
- 45:23Speaker 5: And then the Bills come back and score like thirty
- 45:24Speaker 5: eight unanswered points, and we got good. We got good
- 45:29Speaker 5: Josh Allen yesterday, real good Josh Allen. Thirty one completions,
- 45:33Speaker 5: two hundred and seventy four yards, zero turnovers when he
- 45:38Speaker 5: has zero turnovers the Bills win football games. Also got
- 45:42Speaker 5: one hundred yard day from James Cook, so the Bills
- 45:44Speaker 5: found a formula on offense teach.
- 45:46Speaker 3: There you go.
- 45:47Speaker 1: That's a good one. Yeah, nice see Josh Allen bounce
- 45:49Speaker 1: back Giants Cardinals. I'll be honest with you every now
- 45:52Speaker 1: and then on my picks. I'm not ashamed to admit
- 45:55Speaker 1: that I farm them out to my son and his
- 45:57Speaker 1: roommates at the his Baylor apartment. And this week when
- 46:01Speaker 1: when they sent them back to me and they had
- 46:03Speaker 1: the Cardinals beating the Giants, I thought, well, I'm getting
- 46:07Speaker 1: ready to be a laughing stock around the sports world
- 46:09Speaker 1: that I was the only one who picked that game.
- 46:11Speaker 1: Slash my son and his fore roommates. But man, I'm
- 46:15Speaker 1: getting on the bus and the Chargers. I'm like, that's
- 46:16Speaker 1: a tough loss for the Charges, but I'm gonna look
- 46:18Speaker 1: like the smartest guy in the world. The Cardinals are
- 46:19Speaker 1: beating the breaks off the Giants.
- 46:21Speaker 3: Right now, beating the breaks off of them.
- 46:24Speaker 1: And then Daniel Jones just put on a clinic with
- 46:26Speaker 1: Dave all Yah, they came back and won the game.
- 46:28Speaker 1: So as a man, that's a big performance for them.
- 46:30Speaker 1: As the I mean not saying the heat they were
- 46:32Speaker 1: playoff team last year. But man, as bad as it
- 46:34Speaker 1: was against the Cowboys, now you're going to go lose
- 46:35Speaker 1: the Cardinals they bounced back and it was a big
- 46:38Speaker 1: win for them.
- 46:39Speaker 2: So that was my almost victory lap that I got
- 46:42Speaker 2: to take.
- 46:43Speaker 3: There didn't happen Commanders and Broncos was the same for me.
- 46:46Speaker 3: I'm sitting there, I look up and man, the Broncos
- 46:48Speaker 3: are just absolutely waxing and the Commanders and then all
- 46:52Speaker 3: of a sudden, it all flips. It all flips around.
- 46:54Speaker 3: Eric beene Mey, this offense finds a way, Sam Howell
- 46:56Speaker 3: gets hot, they kind of get it going and they
- 46:58Speaker 3: end up when it went in spite of hail, Mary
- 47:00Speaker 3: Ban surrender and having to defend a two point play,
- 47:04Speaker 3: big win. The Commanders are two and oh and I
- 47:06Speaker 3: don't know if any of us saw that coming.
- 47:08Speaker 5: Yeah, if I could just double down on that one
- 47:10Speaker 5: real quick. You know, it was a tough It's a
- 47:12Speaker 5: tough weekend, you know here in the cleinchmant Lewis Whitworth household,
- 47:18Speaker 5: you know, wife's Colorado State rams fall and overtime to
- 47:23Speaker 5: see you. And then the Broncos, you know, they get
- 47:26Speaker 5: the they get the hail Mary. They did the hard part.
- 47:30Speaker 5: At the very end, all they needed was the two
- 47:32Speaker 5: point conversion. So good news is though. You guys should
- 47:37Speaker 5: check it out. By the way, shameless plug here for
