- 0:00Speaker 1: The Force will be with you. Always.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Hello and welcome back to another episode of Star Wars Alliance.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Of course, I'm your host, Clay. And with me, like always,
- 0:28Speaker 3: of course, is... Katie, how are you doing today?
- 0:33Speaker 1: I'm doing a lot better than I have been. But
- 0:35Speaker 1: I'm just swamped.
- 0:38Speaker 4: I have been a little bit of an emotional wreck.
- 0:43Speaker 4: I'm not even going to lie. We started a little
- 0:48Speaker 4: bit earlier than we usually do.
- 0:50Speaker 3: Because I heard Baby Mara in the background. And that's
- 0:56Speaker 3: what I mean by emotional wreck.
- 0:58Speaker 4: So yesterday....
- 1:00Speaker 3: Um, you know, I've been donating plasma for a while. Um,
- 1:05Speaker 3: and the, yesterday I told Amberlynn, I was like, Hey,
- 1:11Speaker 3: mommy is in a meeting. I need to donate plasma.
- 1:16Speaker 3: You're going to sit in the kitchen. You're going to
- 1:17Speaker 3: eat your snack.
- 1:19Speaker 4: Grandma is in the other room if you need her. Okay.
- 1:23Speaker 4: And I'm going to go donate.
- 1:25Speaker 3: And as I was leading, she was like, Daddy, thank
- 1:28Speaker 3: you so much for always taking care of me.
- 1:32Speaker 4: And I was like, you're welcome. And then today.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I had to go into the office yesterday and I
- 1:42Speaker 1: did not make it home in time for bedtime. I
- 1:44Speaker 1: hate Charlotte fashion, but I got to have dinner with
- 1:46Speaker 1: my mother-in-law. But Matt sent me a video from our
- 1:51Speaker 1: security cameras and she was sobbing that I was not home.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Uh Kinsey hello hello hello.
- 2:00Speaker 3: And then uh today um uh Abby is uh for
- 2:05Speaker 3: the first time doing like a social thing uh so
- 2:08Speaker 3: she's doing her own thing downtown right now and of
- 2:12Speaker 3: course I'm recording this we're like oh crap what are
- 2:14Speaker 3: we gonna do with Amberlynn so she's actually going to
- 2:17Speaker 3: go see uh my sister practice volleyball with my grandmother
- 2:22Speaker 3: oh that's And this is the first time that we
- 2:28Speaker 3: have voluntarily put her onto somebody else. And right before
- 2:34Speaker 3: we started recording, she came up to me and she
- 2:37Speaker 3: gave me.
- 2:38Speaker 4: A hug and kiss. And she was like, bye-bye, Daddy.
- 2:41Speaker 4: I will see you later. And I'm like, I don't
- 2:46Speaker 4: know what to do. If you could be here, I
- 2:50Speaker 4: promise you would be.
- 2:53Speaker 3: So yeah, I've been a little bit of an emotional
- 2:55Speaker 3: wreck today. It's good for you guys. But it is good. Because,
- 3:00Speaker 3: oh my gosh, she's been attached to our hip for
- 3:02Speaker 3: four years. But yeah, it's been a pretty good week, guys. Unfortunately,
- 3:12Speaker 3: there has not been any gigantic news.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:17Speaker 3: There is some stuff that I would like to talk
- 3:22Speaker 3: about via the Zero Company game, but I don't know
- 3:27Speaker 3: how far you guys are. I just realized that there
- 3:32Speaker 3: is anywhere between 30 to 40 cycles in that game.
- 3:39Speaker 3: I'm on cycle 20, learning that I'm only halfway there.
- 3:45Speaker 3: there's so much anxiety because it's like, oh my God,
- 3:48Speaker 3: like I have.
- 3:48Speaker 4: To sit down and play for another.
- 3:50Speaker 3: 30 to 40 hours to finish this game.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Yeah. Because that is on cycle 15. I watched him
- 4:02Speaker 1: play for a little bit with that one. He still
- 4:05Speaker 1: has not lost anybody.
- 4:06Speaker 4: Okay. Neither have I.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Okay.
- 4:10Speaker 4: I have been spoiled on some things and.
- 4:14Speaker 3: There is, there is a pretty big cameo that I
- 4:22Speaker 3: would really like to talk about with you when it
- 4:25Speaker 3: comes to like.
- 4:27Speaker 4: Is it the Anakin Skywalker one?
- 4:29Speaker 2: No, no.
- 4:30Speaker 4: There is another... Because that was publicized. Yes, that was publicized.
- 4:35Speaker 3: Because that was the big thing to get people to pre-order.
- 4:38Speaker 3: It's like, hey, by the way, Anakin Skywalker is a
- 4:42Speaker 3: part of this game.
- 4:43Speaker 4: No, um... And it's funny that I even say that.
- 4:47Speaker 1: You can talk about it, by the way. I don't.
- 4:50Speaker 4: Okay.
- 4:50Speaker 3: So the cameo, and I guess it hits you a
- 5:00Speaker 3: little less.
- 5:00Speaker 4: Because you still haven't played the Fallen Order games. Second
- 5:06Speaker 4: Sister is just in this game. Interesting.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Interesting.
- 5:14Speaker 4: I don't know if Matt can hear or if he's
- 5:16Speaker 4: going to listen to this. Tell him not to listen
- 5:17Speaker 4: to this portion. You know? He doesn't listen.
- 5:22Speaker 1: He doesn't listen.
- 5:24Speaker 3: Even if he could hear you right now and he
- 5:26Speaker 3: hears you saying that, just, like, so he's like, I
- 5:28Speaker 3: do listen. Tell him not to listen to this episode.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Because when I saw the spoiler, my jaw dropped.
- 5:38Speaker 4: Comparatively... I'm.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Assuming she's a Jedi Padawan in it. Or, like, a Jedi. Well.
- 5:45Speaker 3: that's the thing because no, like she has the inquisitor
- 5:52Speaker 3: gear on and everything.
- 5:54Speaker 4: Oh, interesting.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Okay.
- 5:56Speaker 3: So it's so like, that tells me that this game
- 6:01Speaker 3: goes a little bit past order 66.
- 6:03Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:06Speaker 3: So that's what to me was like, Oh shit. Um,
- 6:11Speaker 3: and I'm like, I'm like, okay. As soon as I
- 6:14Speaker 3: saw her, I swiped away from the video because I
- 6:16Speaker 3: was like, I need to know that context before I
- 6:20Speaker 3: watch this video.
- 6:22Speaker 4: But I'm still excited to get to that point.
- 6:25Speaker 3: But, you know, besides that, guys, there's nothing really else
- 6:31Speaker 3: besides two topics that we're going to be talking about today.
- 6:36Speaker 3: One of them is a very simple Force Awakens is
- 6:41Speaker 3: no longer the highest grossing movie of all time at
- 6:45Speaker 3: the domestic box office. As of today, Spider-Man, brand new day,
- 6:54Speaker 3: has surpassed that. It says here that Force Awakens had
- 6:59Speaker 3: spent more than a decade as the biggest movie ever
- 7:03Speaker 3: in North America with $ 936 million at the box office domestically.
- 7:05Speaker 4: So, Today, it says here that.
- 7:13Speaker 3: They're passing off the crown to Tom Holland's latest Spidey adventure,
- 7:18Speaker 3: which has surpassed that benchmark.
- 7:20Speaker 4: With $ 936, 773, 000.
- 7:21Speaker 3: After only 47 days in theaters. Good for Spider-Man. Which
- 7:24Speaker 3: is absolutely insane. Now, I have seen a little bit of.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Eye-rolling remarks of like, oh, is it just because inflation
- 7:44Speaker 3: and like all of these other things?
- 7:48Speaker 4: And don't get me wrong.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Would I have loved to see Star Wars Force Awakens
- 7:53Speaker 3: hold that for a little bit longer?
- 7:56Speaker 4: Yeah, sure. But you never know. Like any movie could
- 8:01Speaker 4: hit that, you know? So... And I think that.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Goes to show that movies need to come out with
- 8:07Speaker 1: plenty of heart and that IPs can still do well
- 8:11Speaker 1: at the box office, but they need to be made
- 8:13Speaker 1: with intent. And Tom Holland and Marvel and Sony did
- 8:19Speaker 1: not go, okay, we're going to just go straight from
- 8:22Speaker 1: No Way Home into a new Spider-Man movie two years later.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Like they said, okay, let's take our time with this
- 8:31Speaker 1: and really develop the right movie. And they really did. So...
- 8:37Speaker 1: Studios need to learn from that experience. And go we
- 8:40Speaker 1: don't need to rush production. It's okay to put out
- 8:43Speaker 1: less product. To get the right thing.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Now.
- 8:48Speaker 4: Let's see how long. Spidey can hold it. With this new.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Star Wars trilogy. Right around the corner. It will be interesting.
- 8:59Speaker 1: I have to see how Starfighter is going to do first.
- 9:02Speaker 3: I think that's going to be the big thing. Because
- 9:04Speaker 3: we talked about. The fact that like okay. We have
- 9:08Speaker 3: Mando's box office. Is it something to be expected that
- 9:13Speaker 3: it didn't go crazy?
- 9:16Speaker 4: Yes, it was.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Because we knew, hey, this is a TV IP. This
- 9:21Speaker 3: is just like a warm welcome to theaters. It wasn't
- 9:24Speaker 3: like their grand reopening to theaters whatsoever. We know that
- 9:29Speaker 3: that is Starfighter. Starfighter is that grand like, hey, we
- 9:35Speaker 3: are back. And I think from what we have talked about,
- 9:42Speaker 3: we both think that it will do very well. The
- 9:47Speaker 3: cast is, you know, grade A. Director is great. And
- 9:55Speaker 3: people have been really, really gnawing at the bit for
- 9:58Speaker 3: Star Wars to be back in theater. And I think
- 10:01Speaker 3: star fighter will do that. Yeah.
- 10:04Speaker 1: I think so too.
- 10:12Speaker 4: But other than that, the only news that we have is,
- 10:18Speaker 4: is it really news yet?
- 10:20Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not news yet, and I don't know if
- 10:23Speaker 3: it will be. Because if nothing has been said now,
- 10:29Speaker 3: I don't think there will be an official announcement. It'll
- 10:34Speaker 3: be more of a, hey, look, this other publisher is
- 10:38Speaker 3: now doing stuff.
- 10:39Speaker 4: A.K.A.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Paper Cuts?
- 10:42Speaker 3: Mad Cave and Paper Cuts. Yes, I believe Paper Cuts is...
- 10:47Speaker 3: owned by mad cave but yes um and that is
- 10:50Speaker 3: the fact that people are now starting to realize that
- 10:54Speaker 3: dark horse titles specifically the hyperspace stories which we are
- 11:00Speaker 3: going to be reviewing today um the hyperspace stories that
- 11:05Speaker 3: have been coming out from dark horse um there hasn't
- 11:11Speaker 3: been a whole lot of them being solicited and a
- 11:13Speaker 3: lot of them are being delayed canceled and things like
- 11:19Speaker 3: that with no new release date coming forth and because
- 11:26Speaker 3: of that people are now realizing oh wait did Dark
- 11:29Speaker 3: Horse lose their license the Star Wars and guys this
- 11:35Speaker 3: happens all the time a little inside info on a
- 11:42Speaker 3: little bit of my business with volume comics Still chugging along,
- 11:47Speaker 3: still doing a lot of stuff on the back end.
- 11:50Speaker 3: But just recently, I had a huge conversation with one
- 11:53Speaker 3: of our with my lawyer about licensing and licensing. It
- 12:00Speaker 3: doesn't mean and I'm having this conversation because Dark Horse
- 12:04Speaker 3: losing the license to Star Wars does not mean that
- 12:08Speaker 3: there was a. huge legal battle or animosity or anything
- 12:13Speaker 3: like that.
- 12:14Speaker 4: It just depends on how much do those two entities
- 12:18Speaker 4: want to flourish a relationship.
- 12:21Speaker 3: It's, it's all about business. It's all about the money
- 12:25Speaker 3: that's coming in. Does the license that dark horse is
- 12:32Speaker 3: spending on because they have to go to Lucasfilm to say, Hey,
- 12:37Speaker 3: we want your license to, For these stories... We will
- 12:42Speaker 3: give you so much money for that... Whether that be
- 12:45Speaker 3: up front... Or the royalties for it... This is just
- 12:48Speaker 3: how things work....
- 12:50Speaker 4: And if... Dark Horse starts to see that like... Hey...
- 12:55Speaker 4: This is actually eating up more costs... Than we are
- 12:59Speaker 4: getting from actual sales of this book.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Or of these stories overall... So we're not going to
- 13:06Speaker 3: continue this license.
- 13:09Speaker 4: It could just be simple as that.
- 13:11Speaker 3: Now, I will say, as somebody who has previously worked
- 13:16Speaker 3: with paper cuts, who has seen the talent that has
- 13:20Speaker 3: come out of paper cuts, I am still really, really
- 13:24Speaker 3: excited about paper cuts taking handle of the Star Wars IP.
- 13:32Speaker 3: This doesn't mean that Dark Horse is no.
- 13:35Speaker 4: Longer in the game for Star Wars, because.
- 13:38Speaker 3: hey, they held the license for Star Wars before, then
- 13:42Speaker 3: they got it back after so many years, almost 20.
- 13:49Speaker 3: And so who's to say that, hey, Dark Horse won't
- 13:52Speaker 3: come back maybe another 10 or 15 years later saying, hey,
- 13:56Speaker 3: I think we could do something with Star Wars again
- 13:58Speaker 3: if you guys would have us, you know? And that
- 14:01Speaker 3: also leaves it kind of open for other publishers to
- 14:07Speaker 3: possibly say like, hey, Is there any room for us
- 14:10Speaker 3: to do anything? Because currently, as the... I'm looking at
- 14:18Speaker 3: the releases every single week for Marvel. There's not a
- 14:22Speaker 3: whole lot coming out of Star Wars right now.
- 14:24Speaker 4: Nothing.
- 14:26Speaker 3: And right now, they're putting all of their eggs in
- 14:30Speaker 3: the paper cuts basket. And it may be a, hey,
- 14:36Speaker 3: let's just see how this goes, you know, type of thing. And,
- 14:41Speaker 3: you know, they'll probably just push everything over there. We
- 14:43Speaker 3: do know that the biggest thing, excuse me, the biggest
- 14:47Speaker 3: thing that's coming out of Star Wars and Marvel is
- 14:50Speaker 3: ironically the Star Wars and Marvel crossover with Kevin Smith
- 14:56Speaker 3: being the writer on that.
- 14:58Speaker 4: And I believe it was, oh, Mike.
- 15:03Speaker 1: I don't remember the artist.
- 15:05Speaker 4: I think it's Chichetto, Mike. Maybe, or is that just
- 15:09Speaker 4: the cover artist? I can't remember.
- 15:12Speaker 3: For that story. So we'll see how everything goes. But yeah,
- 15:19Speaker 3: that is really it for our two news topics.
- 15:27Speaker 4: And as soon as.
- 15:28Speaker 1: And the fall of Kylo Ren. That one's a big
- 15:31Speaker 1: one too.
- 15:31Speaker 4: Oh yes, the fall of Kylo Ren, which I.
- 15:35Speaker 3: I actually read that first issue the other day. I
- 15:39Speaker 3: was so bored. I was like, technically, Katie and I
- 15:43Speaker 3: are not going to read this for quite some time.
- 15:46Speaker 4: I'll probably forget what's all in this first issue. But
- 15:50Speaker 4: let me read it. And I read it. And it
- 15:52Speaker 4: was good. I liked it. So can't wait until the
- 15:56Speaker 4: volume one comes out. So we'll talk about it here
- 15:59Speaker 4: on the show. But yeah, that is it for us.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Now.
- 16:06Speaker 3: I will say this. This next segment is going to
- 16:08Speaker 3: be super short. Katie, what are your thoughts on Lego Mandalorian?
- 16:18Speaker 1: I actually had a lot of fun with this. This
- 16:21Speaker 1: was actually the first Star Wars thing that Mara has
- 16:27Speaker 1: watched with us. We sat down Friday night with our
- 16:30Speaker 1: pizza and everything and we're like, let's watch a movie.
- 16:35Speaker 1: And she was like, she was not convinced. She was like,
- 16:38Speaker 1: cooking show? Because we typically watch cooking while we eat.
- 16:42Speaker 1: She was like, cooking. I was like, but Grogu movie.
- 16:45Speaker 1: And she was like, oh, okay, cool. But then for
- 16:50Speaker 1: approximately 50% of the time, it was, where is Grogu?
- 16:54Speaker 1: Where is Grogu? And then we did get her entertained
- 17:00Speaker 1: because she's learned what a robot is.
- 17:01Speaker 4: Okay, yeah.
- 17:04Speaker 1: So with IG 11 and IG 12 and yada, yada, yada,
- 17:08Speaker 1: we were like, and she was like, cool. I was like, okay.
- 17:16Speaker 3: It's, it's funny that you talk about like learning new things.
- 17:22Speaker 3: The new thing on our docket right now is Amberlynn
- 17:26Speaker 3: is finally realizing that, um, animals in real life are
- 17:34Speaker 3: sometimes the food that we eat. Um, um, so we
- 17:40Speaker 3: were talking about, Hey, you know, chickens, you know, the chicken.
- 17:43Speaker 4: That you eat, you're like your chicken nuggets and like
- 17:45Speaker 4: all of this stuff that's chickens.
- 17:48Speaker 3: And like, she was, she just like a laugh. Like
- 17:50Speaker 3: you guys are so silly. That's so silly.
- 17:52Speaker 4: It can't be chickens. This is just stuff that you eat.
- 17:55Speaker 3: And then I was like, you know, like hamburgers, you know,
- 17:58Speaker 3: your cheeseburger that you like to get all the time.
- 18:01Speaker 4: Like that's beef. Do you know where beef comes from?
- 18:04Speaker 3: And she looked at me dead in the face and
- 18:07Speaker 3: she said, Australia.
- 18:09Speaker 4: I was like, all right, cool. That's all right.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Whatever helps her eat. I, I, I, I don't have
- 18:19Speaker 3: any better answer for you right now. Maybe when you're older,
- 18:22Speaker 3: we can have a more deep conversation about this, but
- 18:25Speaker 3: for now, hamburgers and beef come from Australia. Uh, So
- 18:32Speaker 3: the funny thing about Lego Mandalorian, I watched it on
- 18:35Speaker 3: my own really late at night. And it is literally
- 18:40Speaker 3: what we predicted it was going to be. It is
- 18:44Speaker 3: verbatim a child's version.
- 18:48Speaker 4: Of this adult show. It starts out like it could
- 18:53Speaker 4: have been its own thing.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Yeah. Like most of the other Lego Star Wars stuff.
- 19:00Speaker 3: But then it literally turns into, hey, we're going to
- 19:04Speaker 3: summarize every season of this show, including Book of Boba Fett.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Which I laughed about.
- 19:12Speaker 4: Because it was so quick. A Lego just.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Always knows how to handle it and make fun of itself,
- 19:18Speaker 1: but also do it well.
- 19:22Speaker 3: Yeah, like, hey, we take this seriously, and this is
- 19:24Speaker 3: still our IP, but we're going to make fun of ourselves.
- 19:28Speaker 3: And so today, right before we started recording, I was like, hey,
- 19:32Speaker 3: I have to watch this for tonight's show.
- 19:36Speaker 4: Do you want to watch it with me?
- 19:38Speaker 3: And again, my four-year-old going on 30 went, oh, okay.
- 19:44Speaker 3: And we sat down and watched it two minutes in.
- 19:48Speaker 4: Literally. Literally. the moment that mando is.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Saying hey if we're gonna be intense you have to
- 19:57Speaker 3: sound intense and like you see grogu like laugh menace
- 20:00Speaker 3: menacingly or whatever they literally walk off the star crest
- 20:04Speaker 3: and amberlynn.
- 20:05Speaker 4: Goes This is so boring.
- 20:10Speaker 3: And I'm like, kid, it hasn't even started yet. As
- 20:21Speaker 3: soon as they started retelling the actual seasons of Mandalorian,
- 20:26Speaker 3: then she started to get into it. But then she's like,
- 20:28Speaker 3: I'm hungry. I'm going to go get a snack. And
- 20:30Speaker 3: then she walked away. And I was like, all right,
- 20:33Speaker 3: I can only get her attention for so long. At
- 20:35Speaker 3: least she got this far.
- 20:38Speaker 4: But yeah, it is exactly what we thought it was
- 20:41Speaker 4: going to be. I think this is a great way
- 20:44Speaker 4: to introduce kids to a new character in Star Wars
- 20:50Speaker 4: without the intensity of The Mandalorian, the actual show. This
- 20:57Speaker 4: is a very G-rated way to get a kid into
- 21:03Speaker 4: Star Wars.
- 21:03Speaker 1: 100%. It's very standard Lego, very kid-friendly, very nonchalant. I mean,
- 21:12Speaker 1: I'm impressed that they got four seasons of shows decently
- 21:16Speaker 1: summarized down in 45 minutes.
- 21:19Speaker 4: Yeah!
- 21:20Speaker 1: Like, they did very well with it, and still giving
- 21:24Speaker 1: it an original story that's kind of falling in line
- 21:27Speaker 1: with it.
- 21:27Speaker 4: I think.
- 21:30Speaker 1: If you wanted to jokingly say like, hey, where does
- 21:32Speaker 1: this take place in canon? This takes place before Mandalorian
- 21:36Speaker 1: and Grogu. Because we've done that with previous Lego things
- 21:41Speaker 1: where we're like, where do you think this takes place?
- 21:45Speaker 1: It seems like very early in Grogu's training.
- 21:49Speaker 4: Yes.
- 21:52Speaker 3: One of my favorite parts of the retelling of the
- 21:55Speaker 3: actual Mandalorian is is the ending of season one when
- 22:03Speaker 3: uh ig what's is it oh.
- 22:07Speaker 1: God it's still 11 or no it's 12 at that point.
- 22:10Speaker 3: Yeah ig12 uh is going down the lava or right
- 22:15Speaker 3: before he starts walking down the lava he's like i'm
- 22:17Speaker 3: gonna have to self-destruct and mando's like you're right you
- 22:21Speaker 3: are Good plan. He's like, are you not going to
- 22:24Speaker 3: stop me? Are you seriously just going to allow me
- 22:28Speaker 3: to do this?
- 22:28Speaker 4: He's like, you're right. This is the only way. You
- 22:31Speaker 4: have to blow yourself up.
- 22:33Speaker 3: Which is so funny because the fact that he doesn't
- 22:36Speaker 3: trust droids.
- 22:38Speaker 4: Yep.
- 22:39Speaker 1: And that he trusted him for that part of it.
- 22:42Speaker 4: Yeah, I think that is so funny. But yeah, I
- 22:47Speaker 4: thought that it was very, very fun. I will say...
- 22:50Speaker 4: When it first started, I kind of questioned the quality
- 22:55Speaker 4: of the.
- 22:56Speaker 1: It.
- 22:57Speaker 4: Is digitized stop motion.
- 22:59Speaker 3: It is not stop motion traditionally, but it's digitized.
- 23:04Speaker 4: And I kind of questioned it. It kind of looked
- 23:06Speaker 4: a little weird at the very beginning. I thought the
- 23:10Speaker 4: same thing.
- 23:12Speaker 1: Like they changed up the animation.
- 23:13Speaker 3: Yeah, but after watching it, it felt more and more traditionally...
- 23:19Speaker 3: like Lego style, um, animation. So I think it's still
- 23:24Speaker 3: like top notch. I think this is, you know, if,
- 23:27Speaker 3: if I am not somebody who regularly has the Lego
- 23:32Speaker 3: stuff on repeat, um, because Amberlynn has shown that like, Hey,
- 23:37Speaker 3: when a new one comes out, we'll watch it, but
- 23:40Speaker 3: I'm going to still go watch. I'm watching my old
- 23:43Speaker 3: stuff after that. And so like, if you guys have
- 23:47Speaker 3: it on rotation, I think this will be.
- 23:49Speaker 4: Just another great addition to that. Honestly.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I think so too. It's, yeah, there's not really
- 24:00Speaker 1: much more we can say. It's super boiled down. There's
- 24:03Speaker 1: funny jokes that adults will be able to catch that
- 24:06Speaker 1: will fly over kids' heads. Not as much Grogu as
- 24:11Speaker 1: I was expecting there to be.
- 24:13Speaker 4: Just with a.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Toddler who is obsessed with Grogu. So I expected there
- 24:21Speaker 1: was going to be more Grogu, but it really was
- 24:23Speaker 1: focused on the Mandalorian. Oh, the other thing that I
- 24:26Speaker 1: was going to point out is, so most everyone returns
- 24:32Speaker 1: as a voice actor for this. Like Rosario Dawson voices Ahsoka,
- 24:39Speaker 1: which I think somebody had said on Threads that this
- 24:43Speaker 1: is the first time that Ashley Eckstein has not voiced
- 24:46Speaker 1: Ahsoka in animation since she was cast. The Peli Motos
- 24:54Speaker 1: actress returns, Tamira Morrison returns, heck, even Timothy Olyphant comes
- 25:02Speaker 1: in to play Cobb Vance. So the only ones that
- 25:07Speaker 1: don't return is Pedro Pascal.
- 25:11Speaker 4: The big man himself.
- 25:12Speaker 1: As the Mandalorian. And because Luke Skywalker does appear in this,
- 25:17Speaker 1: Mark Hamill doesn't actually voice Luke Skywalker. And I think
- 25:23Speaker 1: he has voiced Luke Skywalker before in Lego stuff. So
- 25:27Speaker 1: that surprised me. But he has also said that he's
- 25:30Speaker 1: done playing Luke Skywalker. So maybe he's being legit this time.
- 25:35Speaker 3: Now, I will say, He has been a man of
- 25:40Speaker 3: his word, because I am pretty sure, and I could
- 25:45Speaker 3: go back, once.
- 25:49Speaker 4: Oh my gosh.
- 25:52Speaker 3: Kevin Conroy died and was no longer Batman. He said, hey,
- 26:00Speaker 3: I am no longer voice in Joker. And his last
- 26:04Speaker 3: performance was actually a last.
- 26:09Speaker 3: Performance with kevin conroy yeah um and so he never
- 26:14Speaker 3: came back as the joker um so him saying hey
- 26:17Speaker 3: i'm done with luke skywalker.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Maybe i know but he said it before uh he
- 26:24Speaker 1: came back so we will see we will.
- 26:28Speaker 3: See i mean yes but now again he's nearing his
- 26:35Speaker 3: late 70s early 80s yeah so I think now more
- 26:40Speaker 3: than any time would be like a, Hey, yeah, I'm
- 26:44Speaker 3: really done. Um, so I would agree.
- 26:48Speaker 1: But you never know how much money Lucasfilm was going
- 26:50Speaker 1: to put out.
- 26:53Speaker 4: Just hire somebody else.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Leave him alone.
- 26:58Speaker 4: For real.
- 26:58Speaker 3: Let the guy rest. Um, but yeah, that is it
- 27:03Speaker 3: for our mini review of Mando. And so we go
- 27:09Speaker 3: on to our main topic. Star Wars Hyperspace Stories Tides
- 27:17Speaker 3: of Terror. This is written by George Mann. Penciled by
- 27:25Speaker 3: Luis Morocco. Inked by Lebeau Underwood and Ramon Lopez Cabrera.
- 27:36Speaker 3: Colored by Michael Attea. lettered by comics crafts tyler smith
- 27:43Speaker 3: jimmy bet bettencourt bettencourt okay and bobby bradford uh and
- 27:52Speaker 3: additional art by i have no idea yes pious pious
- 27:57Speaker 3: bach edwin galman and tony fleeks um i did not
- 28:03Speaker 3: know tony fleeks did anything on this that's pretty cool
- 28:07Speaker 3: And then, of course, other cover art and chapter breakdowns
- 28:10Speaker 3: by Eduardo Melo and Valentina Tadeo.
- 28:16Speaker 4: Sorry.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Katie. Tony Fleek's cover.
- 28:22Speaker 4: Oh, that was a Tony Fleek's cover. Okay. I really
- 28:25Speaker 4: like Tony Fleek's. There is a image series. I believe it's...
- 28:34Speaker 4: stray or stray dogs. It, he, he does like anamorphic, uh, comics.
- 28:42Speaker 3: He does a comics. That's all about cats. Then he
- 28:44Speaker 3: does one all about dogs. And then there's like a
- 28:46Speaker 3: mix or whatever. Uh, those are really, really cool.
- 28:50Speaker 4: Uh, but Katie thoughts on tides of terror.
- 28:57Speaker 1: So I thought it was going to be more horror
- 29:01Speaker 1: esque than it felt. Um, I loved the writing. I
- 29:07Speaker 1: think George Mann does an incredible job as a comic author. Um,
- 29:13Speaker 1: like no problems with that, but tides of terror makes
- 29:15Speaker 1: you think horror. And I don't think there was quite
- 29:19Speaker 1: enough perspective from Nadar, uh, to really echo that horror
- 29:25Speaker 1: that he was feeling because he was definitely the scared
- 29:29Speaker 1: Padawan in this instance. Um, I will say I loved
- 29:36Speaker 1: uh morocco's art in this um the only thing that
- 29:43Speaker 1: got me um is uh the the uh toothy smiles
- 29:49Speaker 1: in this um particularly a lot of teeth a lot
- 29:54Speaker 1: of teeth I was not expecting Mace Winter to ever
- 29:57Speaker 1: smile with his teeth. And I know this is, like,
- 30:01Speaker 1: before Attack of the Clones. I don't exactly know a
- 30:07Speaker 1: time frame on this. But, yeah, that one. And then, like,
- 30:12Speaker 1: before the mission ever starts. Where they're like, oh, come on, Nadar.
- 30:19Speaker 1: It'll be fun. This one.
- 30:22Speaker 4: Oh, yeah. The very, very beginning.
- 30:24Speaker 1: This one... It's just like, this is more creepy than
- 30:29Speaker 1: the book itself, in my opinion. Otherwise, I have no
- 30:34Speaker 1: complaints about the art. I thought the art was gorgeous.
- 30:38Speaker 1: I love the detail into Kit Fisto's Montrels. I think
- 30:44Speaker 1: they're called Montrels. But anyways. Like, I'm going to take
- 30:50Speaker 1: this to my sister because my sister grew up loving
- 30:53Speaker 1: Kit Fisto. Like, she would always roleplay as Kit Fisto.
- 30:57Speaker 1: She was always like, why does Kit Fisto not have anything?
- 31:01Speaker 1: So I will take this to her.
- 31:03Speaker 3: Kit Fisto has, like, I don't know if you know this,
- 31:08Speaker 3: but ironically, like, some of the, like, biggest cult followings
- 31:13Speaker 3: for Jedi is Kit Fisto and Plu Koon. Kit Fisto
- 31:18Speaker 3: had like zero love in the original Clone Wars.
- 31:24Speaker 4: I forgot his name. The series.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Yeah, we reviewed Once Upon a Time and probably forgot about.
- 31:33Speaker 3: Yeah, his last name starts with a T. Either way,
- 31:40Speaker 3: debuted on Cartoon Network and Toonami and all that. Kit
- 31:45Speaker 3: Fisto had like no love. in that series and then
- 31:49Speaker 3: that's why people love yes um but like a lot
- 31:56Speaker 3: more people started to appreciate the newer Clone Wars series
- 32:00Speaker 3: because Kit Fisto got like a whole arc.
- 32:03Speaker 4: And like everybody's like oh this is so awesome um.
- 32:09Speaker 3: I really enjoyed this story I thought this was really
- 32:12Speaker 3: really fun I agree with you the horror aspect could
- 32:15Speaker 3: have been a little bit more As so I was
- 32:20Speaker 3: reading this silently in my room and then all of
- 32:25Speaker 3: a sudden Amberlynn comes crawling next to me and starts
- 32:29Speaker 3: looking at the pages and she's like, Daddy, get out
- 32:33Speaker 3: your phone and listen to it. And I said, which
- 32:37Speaker 3: is really, really funny because like I've explained to her
- 32:42Speaker 3: like what my business is and what I'm trying to do.
- 32:47Speaker 3: And so I said, baby, there's no there's no audio
- 32:50Speaker 3: book for this yet. Like, I have to read it.
- 32:52Speaker 3: I'm reading it in my head. And she's like, well,
- 32:55Speaker 3: read it. And so, like, then I started reading it
- 32:57Speaker 3: out loud, doing all the sound effects. So it was really,
- 33:00Speaker 3: really fun. There's one aspect of this story that I
- 33:06Speaker 3: do not like. And that is the like.
- 33:14Speaker 2: Really?
- 33:15Speaker 3: And again, it may just be me, but Shaak Ti,
- 33:22Speaker 3: her characterization in here feels so off. Again, it may
- 33:28Speaker 3: just be me because really, what example do I have
- 33:32Speaker 3: of Shaak Ti characteristics other than, hey, she has died
- 33:37Speaker 3: probably more times than any other Jedi in every single
- 33:40Speaker 3: series that she's in. Like that's her highlight in revenge
- 33:45Speaker 3: of the Sith, the deleted scene.
- 33:47Speaker 4: She dies.
- 33:48Speaker 3: Uh, Shakti dies in forced unleashed. Uh, I'm pretty sure
- 33:54Speaker 3: in the other clone war series, she dies. Like that's
- 33:58Speaker 3: like her famous thing to do, uh, as of right now.
- 34:02Speaker 3: And so like, I really want to see some really
- 34:06Speaker 3: like highlighted moments of her career as a Jedi. And
- 34:11Speaker 3: the moments that I see her here, they feel weird.
- 34:17Speaker 3: Like she is doing the Hades meme from Hercules.
- 34:22Speaker 4: Like, like, like, I don't know if you've, you've seen it. I'll,
- 34:26Speaker 4: I'll like, I'll text it to you. Um, but like, I,
- 34:32Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 34:33Speaker 3: She just didn't feel like I felt no charisma from
- 34:37Speaker 3: shock tea. And I feel like she could be such
- 34:40Speaker 3: a presence in other forms of media.
- 34:43Speaker 4: Um, and here there.
- 34:45Speaker 1: Was nothing there and that's why I was hopeful for
- 34:49Speaker 1: Jedi Knights to really dive into those because Shaak Ti
- 34:54Speaker 1: and Luminara Unduli with Barriss Offee were like the first
- 34:58Speaker 1: female Jedi that you really got a chance to see
- 35:03Speaker 1: and to see kind of how they've fallen off uh
- 35:08Speaker 1: really sucks at the end of the day um I
- 35:15Speaker 1: didn't pay too much attention to Shaak Ti just because
- 35:17Speaker 1: I knew she wasn't the main character.
- 35:20Speaker 4: She's not the main character. Don't get me wrong. That's
- 35:22Speaker 4: the thing. You see her in the beginning of this mission.
- 35:27Speaker 1: He sent me the meme, guys.
- 35:31Speaker 3: Yeah, the Hades meme. There's political tension in the very
- 35:36Speaker 3: beginning of this mission. It's very intentional because the whole
- 35:41Speaker 3: point of this entire story is there is a underwater
- 35:47Speaker 3: colony that just had been built in a location. And
- 35:54Speaker 3: there are some members of the planet that are like, Hey,
- 35:58Speaker 3: this is not cool. There is wildlife here that you're
- 36:02Speaker 3: ruining their habitat, like all this other stuff.
- 36:06Speaker 4: And you can clearly see that there is just like.
- 36:10Speaker 3: In our real life, like, oligarchs and leaders that are like, Hey,
- 36:16Speaker 3: this is kind of best for us type of ordeal.
- 36:19Speaker 3: So those are the wildlife. We'll just relocate them and
- 36:23Speaker 3: they'll be completely fine. We've clearly seen how, like even
- 36:31Speaker 3: freaking killer whales have, you know, shown like, Hey, you
- 36:36Speaker 3: try to do that to us and we'll fight back.
- 36:38Speaker 1: Right.
- 36:39Speaker 3: And that essentially is what happens to, In this story.
- 36:44Speaker 3: But there's the twist. The twist of these.
- 36:48Speaker 4: Zorphins. As they are named. They are giant. Eel like creatures.
- 36:55Speaker 4: With two small. Tiny T-Rex arms. That they. They look monstrous.
- 37:04Speaker 4: And I really do like.
- 37:06Speaker 3: The four panel. Progression of. Oh my gosh, what was
- 37:11Speaker 3: the Padawan's name again?
- 37:12Speaker 4: Nadar. Nadar.
- 37:15Speaker 1: This is the art in the back of the book.
- 37:18Speaker 2: Yes.
- 37:18Speaker 4: For those on YouTube.
- 37:21Speaker 3: When Nadar looks out the window of this underwater facility,
- 37:27Speaker 3: the background is really shady and you can barely see
- 37:33Speaker 3: what looks like the outline of eyes. And then it's
- 37:36Speaker 3: the full page spread out. Of it like crashing against
- 37:39Speaker 3: the window.
- 37:39Speaker 4: Or whatever. And he becomes so scared. Which by the way.
- 37:43Speaker 4: I don't know like how quickly this kid became a Padawan.
- 37:47Speaker 4: But he becomes so scared. He immediately turns on his lightsaber.
- 37:51Speaker 4: And I'm like bro. Like chill out. Well and that's.
- 37:56Speaker 1: It follows what happened with General Grievous. This is why
- 37:59Speaker 1: I think this is. Like between. The Phantom Menace and
- 38:03Speaker 1: Attack of the Clones. Because in Kit Fisto's arc. arc
- 38:08Speaker 1: they go to General Grievous' hideout and Nadar is very
- 38:12Speaker 1: quick to react and Kit Fisto's like I'm sorry I
- 38:15Speaker 1: missed your trials like so like he got promoted very
- 38:19Speaker 1: quickly after Attack of the Clones probably Anakin Skywalker and
- 38:22Speaker 1: the rest of the Padawans um but I feel like
- 38:26Speaker 1: this is very close which is also why Mace Windu's
- 38:30Speaker 1: face throws me.
- 38:31Speaker 4: Off laughing.
- 38:35Speaker 3: But yeah, this story is not horrible by any means.
- 38:40Speaker 3: It's actually a really fun story.
- 38:43Speaker 4: It's very... For a story that.
- 38:47Speaker 3: Came out last year, it's very environmentally, politically current feeling,
- 38:56Speaker 3: for sure. There's these... You find out that the saboteurs...
- 39:04Speaker 3: excuse me, that have like attacked this base are actually
- 39:12Speaker 3: the people from the very beginning of the story that
- 39:15Speaker 3: were kind of fighting for it.
- 39:18Speaker 4: And you find out the whole reason why is.
- 39:20Speaker 3: Oh, you know, we are actually the ones looting this
- 39:25Speaker 3: entire 5000 year old city that's underneath us and we're
- 39:31Speaker 3: just we're trying to make a quick credit you know
- 39:35Speaker 3: while they're also stealing the infant Zorphins and trying to
- 39:41Speaker 3: sell them as well so you got poaching you got
- 39:46Speaker 3: all sorts of stuff dealing in here.
- 39:50Speaker 4: And I did like it.
- 39:52Speaker 3: I do think what I do think is really, really
- 39:55Speaker 3: cool and kind of funny is this entire book full
- 40:03Speaker 3: of aliens, full, chock full of aliens.
- 40:06Speaker 1: I loved that.
- 40:07Speaker 4: The only humanoids in this entire book are the engineers.
- 40:21Speaker 3: And it's only, like, three. And then the rest of
- 40:24Speaker 3: them are also aliens. So I really appreciated that, honestly. Like,
- 40:28Speaker 3: you saw some more humans when it became, like, time
- 40:33Speaker 3: to evacuate the whole facility. But, like, the majority of
- 40:37Speaker 3: this book, the highlighted characters of this book, all aliens.
- 40:42Speaker 1: Yeah. And not... It's something that we've talked about a
- 40:46Speaker 1: lot where it's like, do we really need to be
- 40:48Speaker 1: missing the aliens here? Because this is Star Wars. There's
- 40:51Speaker 1: 800 planets in the galaxy. There can't just be humans.
- 40:56Speaker 1: So the comic is definitely a place for it. I
- 41:01Speaker 1: will say, too, the other thing that I was expecting
- 41:03Speaker 1: with this is I was expecting there to be more
- 41:07Speaker 1: Kit Fisto and Nadar in the water. just because of
- 41:10Speaker 1: how both species are, and you're talking about Tides of Terror,
- 41:14Speaker 1: Kit Fisto's only really in the water for part of
- 41:18Speaker 1: the last issue. So that was the other thing. I
- 41:22Speaker 1: get why the story had to go where it went,
- 41:25Speaker 1: but I definitely judged it based on its cover.
- 41:30Speaker 4: And that's kind of the.
- 41:32Speaker 3: There's also a moment kind of in the middle, I
- 41:36Speaker 3: think it's issue two or three, where... they kind of
- 41:41Speaker 3: like half of the facility is already underwater. So while
- 41:45Speaker 3: they're inside the facility, they're also underwater.
- 41:49Speaker 1: That's true.
- 41:50Speaker 4: And so there is a moment where they're both in water,
- 41:54Speaker 4: which is really nice. I do admit that I also
- 42:02Speaker 4: felt the same way when you see tides of terror
- 42:08Speaker 4: in You think, okay, water. You see Kit Fisto. You're expecting, oh, man,
- 42:13Speaker 4: things are going to get heavy-handed.
- 42:15Speaker 3: Especially when the first freaking chapter one looks like this.
- 42:23Speaker 4: I'm like, dude, I'm ready. Let's go. Yeah, exactly. I'm
- 42:27Speaker 4: so excited for this. How did you... I didn't even
- 42:33Speaker 4: put one and one together, the fact that.
- 42:37Speaker 3: nadar is also in clone wars totally forgot about that
- 42:42Speaker 3: um but like his like quickness to just like kill
- 42:48Speaker 3: this giant monster in the very beginning of the book
- 42:51Speaker 3: um that was.
- 42:54Speaker 1: I think it goes hand in hand and that's again
- 42:56Speaker 1: why i think it's so close to clone wars is
- 42:59Speaker 1: because of that characterization in the grievous episodes the arc
- 43:04Speaker 1: that he's in it just flows right hand in hand.
- 43:07Speaker 1: And it shows it, it shows the parallel, like, Hey,
- 43:12Speaker 1: like these Padawans that we took and knighted so that
- 43:16Speaker 1: we could fight this battle. We're not all.
- 43:19Speaker 4: Ready to jump to this level.
- 43:21Speaker 1: And there's consequences to that. And I think, so George
- 43:25Speaker 1: Mann shows that effortlessly. Like we talk about the poaching,
- 43:28Speaker 1: we talk about like the environmental concerns and like the
- 43:32Speaker 1: robbing of old sites. Like that's also another one that
- 43:36Speaker 1: he's addressing here is the fire is the fallout, not
- 43:39Speaker 1: fallout failings of the Jedi council in promoting all of
- 43:43Speaker 1: these Padawans. Yeah.
- 43:46Speaker 4: 100%. For sure.
- 43:49Speaker 3: When, when that happened, I was like, what the heck?
- 43:53Speaker 3: And then there is like the teaching of like, Hey,
- 43:55Speaker 3: like your intention was good. So don't just like sit
- 44:00Speaker 3: on this and like feel guilty. Like your intention was good.
- 44:04Speaker 3: but we as individuals of the Jedi have to try
- 44:10Speaker 3: and do the best that we can without violence, you know?
- 44:14Speaker 3: And that's what the teaching is at the very end
- 44:16Speaker 3: of the book. Like that's what Nadar and Kit Fisto
- 44:20Speaker 3: talk about. They're like, Hey, for one, you were right.
- 44:22Speaker 3: This mission was not boring whatsoever. And two, like we
- 44:27Speaker 3: did the best we could with the actions that we
- 44:29Speaker 3: took and we were actually able to, you know, Pretty
- 44:33Speaker 3: much make everybody happy.
- 44:36Speaker 4: Which was really, really nice also. Yeah. Exactly. I think
- 44:44Speaker 4: that's it. I think that's all we have too.
- 44:47Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a quick read. It's a total of, I think,
- 44:50Speaker 3: like 100 pages. Not counting the art pages in the very,
- 44:56Speaker 3: very back.
- 44:57Speaker 4: The concept art. And guys.
- 45:00Speaker 3: I went to my local comic shop. The single issues
- 45:04Speaker 3: were still available. So I, like, I don't know how
- 45:08Speaker 3: many people picked this up as it was being released.
- 45:12Speaker 3: I took the last copy of the actual graphic novel.
- 45:18Speaker 3: Graphic novel is just 20 bucks. Whereas if you were
- 45:22Speaker 3: to pick up each individual issue, I think you would
- 45:27Speaker 3: be spending just a, the same amount. Each issue was
- 45:31Speaker 3: about four 99, I believe. Um, so whichever you can
- 45:35Speaker 3: get your hands on, you know, I really like the
- 45:39Speaker 3: cover art on each one. So if you're, if you're
- 45:42Speaker 3: an art person, grab those single issues. Um, but yeah,
- 45:47Speaker 3: that is it for us. And, uh, that is it
- 45:50Speaker 3: for the episode. We are cutting it before an hour long. Uh,
- 45:55Speaker 3: we've been, uh, A little bit on the long side recently.
- 45:58Speaker 3: It's nice to have one a little bit on the
- 46:00Speaker 3: short side.
- 46:02Speaker 4: But yeah, guys. Yeah, if you guys... I will say this.
- 46:11Speaker 3: Jake and I have not been able to record in
- 46:16Speaker 3: like three weeks. So we have a lot to catch
- 46:18Speaker 3: up on. And I'm going to have to talk to
- 46:21Speaker 3: Travis because... The only thing that was really keeping us
- 46:25Speaker 3: alive was the Power Rangers movie. And that is being canceled.
- 46:30Speaker 3: So I don't know if Ranger Alliance is going to
- 46:33Speaker 3: be out for that much longer.
- 46:36Speaker 4: So we'll see. I'm going to have to have a
- 46:38Speaker 4: long conversation.
- 46:39Speaker 3: With Jake and then with Travis to kind of see
- 46:41Speaker 3: where we're going to go from there. So I can't
- 46:44Speaker 3: promise that a new episode is going to be coming
- 46:46Speaker 3: out this next week. But just be on the lookout
- 46:48Speaker 3: just in case. Of course, you can always find me
- 46:52Speaker 3: at fanboyclay. over on threads and Instagram. Uh, and if
- 46:57Speaker 3: you can give me a quick follow over on volume
- 46:59Speaker 3: comics as well, been pushing a lot of content out
- 47:02Speaker 3: over there. Um, so give that a look.
- 47:07Speaker 4: Um, but yeah, Katie, what about you?
- 47:09Speaker 1: Y'all, you can find me on most social media platforms.
- 47:12Speaker 1: That's Lacey Katie. Um, this show is on Instagram and threads.
- 47:18Speaker 1: It's at Star Wars lands at the, in the war
- 47:20Speaker 1: is very important.
- 47:21Speaker 2: Don't forget it.
- 47:21Speaker 1: You can also shoot us an email at, at that
- 47:25Speaker 1: same username, at gmail.com. If you're not a social media person, like,
- 47:31Speaker 1: I'm not anymore. So, yeah. Next week, we are going
- 47:38Speaker 1: to be talking our top what-if stories we want to
- 47:41Speaker 1: see for Star Wars. I'm not going to put a
- 47:44Speaker 1: number on that because I've been trying to think of something.
- 47:46Speaker 1: I don't know if I'm going to get to it,
- 47:47Speaker 1: but we'll see. So, original Topic coming out. Not just
- 47:56Speaker 1: a review. So stay tuned for that next week guys.
- 47:58Speaker 1: And if you guys have any ideas. Be sure to
- 48:00Speaker 1: let us know. Instagram threads or our email. And then
- 48:05Speaker 1: October is our haunted month.
- 48:07Speaker 4: Guys.
- 48:08Speaker 1: We're going all in. We're talking Tales from the Nightlands.
- 48:13Speaker 1: Master of Evil. The second review. Where Katie actually knows
- 48:16Speaker 1: what she's talking about this time. And then we're taking
- 48:19Speaker 1: a small break. For Smugglers and Scoundrels. The race for Jabba's. Bounty,
- 48:24Speaker 1: which is the first graphic novel from the Mad Cave
- 48:31Speaker 1: Paper Cats. Cool, I got that right. And then we
- 48:36Speaker 1: have another original topic where we talk about where we
- 48:40Speaker 1: want Star Wars to go moving forward before or after
- 48:44Speaker 1: the Skywalker saga. And then to end the month, we've
- 48:48Speaker 1: got Star Wars Dark Legends, which is A mythology based.
- 48:54Speaker 1: Tales for Star Wars. From I believe it's. I believe
- 48:58Speaker 1: it's George Mann. And Cabin Scott. But I could be
- 49:02Speaker 1: wrong on that. It could just be Cabin Scott.
- 49:05Speaker 3: Before we leave tonight. I also want to reiterate. Edge
- 49:12Speaker 3: of the Abyss.
- 49:13Speaker 4: Is now out. Yes. Edge of the Abyss is now out.
- 49:18Speaker 4: And you can go purchase.
- 49:20Speaker 1: It.
- 49:20Speaker 3: You can go listen to the audiobook, which means you
- 49:22Speaker 3: can also go listen to our review. We had it
- 49:26Speaker 3: about two weeks ago. We recorded and....
- 49:32Speaker 4: We gave our very minimal.
- 49:36Speaker 3: Thoughts because, of course, every book review, we want everyone
- 49:39Speaker 3: to go read it for themselves, get their own opinions,
- 49:42Speaker 3: and us kind of just talk about small sections of
- 49:45Speaker 3: the book. So go out, read that book. I think
- 49:49Speaker 3: a lot of people are really, really hyping up the
- 49:54Speaker 3: fact that this book does give a little bit more
- 49:59Speaker 3: of that characterization to Saw Gerrera. So if you're a
- 50:05Speaker 3: Saw guy or a Saw gal, go.
- 50:08Speaker 4: Read this book. It is phenomenal.
- 50:10Speaker 3: I really, really enjoyed this book. So go check that
- 50:14Speaker 3: out and then go check out our review.
- 50:17Speaker 1: Yep. And just to correct myself, Dark Legends is actually
- 50:20Speaker 1: only written by George Mann. It was one of the
- 50:25Speaker 1: first things that he actually wrote for Star Wars. Sweet. Yeah.
- 50:30Speaker 1: uh with that guys i want to wish everyone a
- 50:32Speaker 1: great day or night whatever whatever time of day you
- 50:37Speaker 1: are listening or watching and we will see y'all next
- 50:39Speaker 1: time may the force be with you
