- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey, guys, welcome to the almost of his podcast. This
- 0:08Speaker 2: week Ben is he's a NAPA doing a zillion interviews
- 0:12Speaker 2: with Almost Famous. I am too new for a mom
- 0:14Speaker 2: to go on that trip, So today I'm doing the
- 0:18Speaker 2: recap with our friend Rachel Reccia. Hello, Rachel, Hello, as
- 0:25Speaker 2: It's so good to be back with us too.
- 0:28Speaker 3: I miss us doing podcasts together.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Love that it's always a good one. It's always going.
- 0:33Speaker 2: I appreciate you being here and you caught up this week.
- 0:36Speaker 2: He fell a little bit behind. But before we get
- 0:39Speaker 2: into the episode, we just have to talk about this
- 0:43Speaker 2: picture with you and Blake Moyins. And like, I know
- 0:47Speaker 2: that you guys keep saying that you're just friends, but like,
- 0:50Speaker 2: maybe why I fee friends because I'm looking at a
- 0:55Speaker 2: picture of you guys at an event for the oceans. Yeah,
- 0:59Speaker 2: was it one of his his saving the world things exactly?
- 1:03Speaker 3: You know him very uh conservationist. But yeah, we went
- 1:08Speaker 3: to an event together, so he flew to LA But
- 1:12Speaker 3: everyone wants us to be a couple so bad. I
- 1:15Speaker 3: feel like we always like addressed the rumor over and
- 1:18Speaker 3: over again, but we're still not a couple. We're still I.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Still don't believe you, Like and I believe that you're
- 1:24Speaker 2: not a couple, but I don't believe that you guys
- 1:26Speaker 2: have like never made out, Like you definitely made out.
- 1:29Speaker 3: We literally have it. At this point, I always say,
- 1:31Speaker 3: I'm like, we just should because I mean we could
- 1:34Speaker 3: just say, yeah, we made out, it wasn't good, but.
- 1:36Speaker 2: No, what if you made out and it was really good?
- 1:39Speaker 3: Maybe we should?
- 1:41Speaker 2: Yeah, Like you know how, sometimes like there was this
- 1:43Speaker 2: one guy friend that I was twenty two. Okay, this
- 1:45Speaker 2: is a long time ago, guys, but I remember the
- 1:48Speaker 2: age that was at because we got monumental and I
- 1:52Speaker 2: was like never thought of I would like, never thought
- 1:54Speaker 2: about making out with him. And then we were just
- 1:56Speaker 2: like at a club in New York City and it
- 1:57Speaker 2: was like whoa, so you know, and I was like
- 2:02Speaker 2: what that was the best kiss ever? And then I
- 2:04Speaker 2: was like obsessed with him for like a year, and
- 2:07Speaker 2: like it was it wasn't that it was like like
- 2:10Speaker 2: he definitely would have Why am I getting into this?
- 2:13Speaker 3: No?
- 2:13Speaker 2: I want to Definitely he was like he was like
- 2:16Speaker 2: he was into me enough, but like he was not
- 2:18Speaker 2: like looking for a relationship or anything like that. But
- 2:22Speaker 2: I was like way hung up on it just because
- 2:24Speaker 2: this one great night.
- 2:26Speaker 3: I feel that I was just like, we went to
- 2:28Speaker 3: Paradise together. We've been friends and done trips like for
- 2:31Speaker 3: over a year. If it was meant to be, I think.
- 2:35Speaker 2: It would have happened, it already happened.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Yeah, And it's just I love He's like my most
- 2:39Speaker 3: solid guy friend. I go for everything. So I also
- 2:43Speaker 3: am like, who would I go to then if we
- 2:46Speaker 3: were to have that weird like kiss and then things
- 2:51Speaker 3: got awkward.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe do it now before it gets really awkward
- 2:56Speaker 2: one day because you're still it's still in like the
- 2:58Speaker 2: fresh friend territory and enough you guys look really cute together.
- 3:02Speaker 3: I actually I was surprised he wasn't chosen to bachelor.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Okay, did you think that he was? Because I saw
- 3:10Speaker 2: that he was in like the speculation handful.
- 3:16Speaker 3: I mean, there's always speculation, and I think they talked
- 3:20Speaker 3: to so many people. I just think he's like, he
- 3:23Speaker 3: would be such a good bachelor. I want to watch
- 3:25Speaker 3: wildlife dates.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Wildlife dates would be good. But I just think that
- 3:29Speaker 2: he has the emotional maturity to really handle it and
- 3:33Speaker 2: a familiarity with the audience, or that the audience is
- 3:37Speaker 2: so familiar with him that it would just be like
- 3:40Speaker 2: a really really fun easy watch for us.
- 3:43Speaker 3: I agree maybe one maybe one year another time. I
- 3:48Speaker 3: think Grant's a good pick too. I just feel like
- 3:50Speaker 3: I don't know him at all, Like I don't know
- 3:52Speaker 3: anything about him, so we'll see.
- 3:55Speaker 2: This episode makes it even weirder that Grant is the
- 3:58Speaker 2: Bachelor and we like Gant, We totally do. He's super hot,
- 4:02Speaker 2: seems very sweet. But also why I understand why not
- 4:07Speaker 2: Jeremy because he was eliminated this episode, But why not
- 4:11Speaker 2: Jonathan if he doesn't make it? Why not even Devin
- 4:14Speaker 2: because Devin would be so interesting? Why not Marcus because
- 4:19Speaker 2: he would be so great, But I think that Marcus
- 4:22Speaker 2: might need to go too slow for a bachelor process.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Agreed after this episode. Before that, I would have said
- 4:29Speaker 3: one hundred Marcus and Jonathan. I think especially Jonathan.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Oh my god, Jonathan is so hot, like as a
- 4:35Speaker 2: married woman, like I just need to say that, he's
- 4:38Speaker 2: like he was very much my type. He's so gorgeous, agreed.
- 4:43Speaker 3: In his voice, Like his voice is hot, his tattoos
- 4:47Speaker 3: are hot.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Yeah, Now, Rachel would you go to paradise. If Jonathan went.
- 4:53Speaker 3: I think I have to be done with Paradise.
- 4:55Speaker 2: But like it's tempting still, right, the guys.
- 4:57Speaker 3: This season, they're a little tempting. I think I really
- 5:01Speaker 3: have to call it because if I don't call it, now,
- 5:03Speaker 3: where's the end? I know.
- 5:05Speaker 2: That's how I felt after three too, but I did four.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Before three was not lucky. They said third was fisty,
- 5:13Speaker 3: the best.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Third was the worst. For me, say, okay, maybe we
- 5:18Speaker 2: have to do it for it, So who's the other guy?
- 5:20Speaker 3: You?
- 5:20Speaker 2: But you'd be tempted to go to paradise for.
- 5:23Speaker 3: Me and Genevieve, And like, we all watched this episode
- 5:27Speaker 3: and we both agree, Grant is so hot. We thought
- 5:30Speaker 3: Austin was really cute and Austin.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Okay, Austin was really cute, but we didn't really get
- 5:37Speaker 2: to know him. She I didn't think they had Yeah,
- 5:40Speaker 2: they didn't really have a connection.
- 5:41Speaker 3: I was shocked. He just went home in the middle
- 5:43Speaker 3: of the group too. I was like, you couldn't wait
- 5:47Speaker 3: one more day? I thought that was a little weird. Yeah,
- 5:50Speaker 3: but here we are at hometowns.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Here we are at hometowns, and and how I don't know,
- 5:56Speaker 2: fastest feeling season ever the now we started out not
- 6:01Speaker 2: being recorded, and you said you liked this episode, and
- 6:04Speaker 2: I was like, let's talk about that, because I did
- 6:07Speaker 2: not like this episode. There was nothing memorable to me
- 6:11Speaker 2: about it really, But then again, maybe I have absolute
- 6:15Speaker 2: like newborn mom brain because I'm watching it and I
- 6:20Speaker 2: always tell Ben you know, I was like, oh, like
- 6:22Speaker 2: I determine how good an episode is based on, like
- 6:24Speaker 2: whether I find myself scrolling on Instagram during the episode,
- 6:28Speaker 2: and I wasn't scrolling. I was fully paying attention. But
- 6:32Speaker 2: it didn't. It didn't. I didn't remember anything, Like I'm
- 6:36Speaker 2: in the middle of Jonathan's date, the third date, and
- 6:38Speaker 2: I'm like, Devn's mom, what did Devon's mom look like?
- 6:42Speaker 2: Who was at his hometown? I couldn't remember like forty
- 6:45Speaker 2: minutes before. So what was the standout? Was there any
- 6:49Speaker 2: standout moments for you? Because my only standout moment, I'll
- 6:53Speaker 2: tell you off the bat, was probably just Devn's in.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Devon seems the most authentically into her, and I think
- 7:03Speaker 2: like his I Love you was the moment for me.
- 7:06Speaker 3: See I that's the one person I disagree. I think.
- 7:11Speaker 3: I was telling Ben this and I'm probably projecting so
- 7:15Speaker 3: hard on him.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, but my own thing. Okay, you find Tino,
- 7:20Speaker 2: you feel, you'll feel Tino vibes.
- 7:23Speaker 3: I just feel. And I could be so wrong, and
- 7:25Speaker 3: I'll eat my words at aofar if she does choose
- 7:30Speaker 3: to be with him or whoever. But if I was Jen,
- 7:34Speaker 3: it seems like she's going in the same direction because
- 7:37Speaker 3: he has this vibe of he knows how and when
- 7:40Speaker 3: to say the right things, when to do the right things.
- 7:44Speaker 3: And maybe maybe he is into her. I think he
- 7:47Speaker 3: is into her, but there is the element of it's
- 7:49Speaker 3: a game to him and he's the person I feel
- 7:51Speaker 3: that way.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Okay, now you say that, I can see that perspective.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Maybe I'm being Maybe I'm a great target for the game.
- 8:01Speaker 3: I don't know. I think Jonathan's connection with her is
- 8:04Speaker 3: the most authentic.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Really, see I think Jonathan, I don't think she's there
- 8:11Speaker 2: with him?
- 8:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't think so.
- 8:13Speaker 2: No, But let me go back to Devon for a second.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Devon is the one that makes me feel most secure,
- 8:21Speaker 2: like he's not going to leave her, like he's not
- 8:23Speaker 2: going to change his mind mid experience. Everybody else, well,
- 8:28Speaker 2: Marcus is like a whole conversation. We'll get there, we'll
- 8:31Speaker 2: get there, we'll get there. Okay, But but right now,
- 8:34Speaker 2: because we have three remaining and maybe we're jumping the
- 8:37Speaker 2: gun because we're not going through. I haven't gone through
- 8:39Speaker 2: the episode yet, but of the three remaining, you feel
- 8:42Speaker 2: most secure with Jonathan's connection. I feel most secure with Devon.
- 8:47Speaker 3: Yes, if she ends up with Jonathan, I see it
- 8:50Speaker 3: as like a charity in Dawton, Zach and Katie, like
- 8:53Speaker 3: they will last. That's the one right now that I
- 8:56Speaker 3: see And before this I would have said.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Marcus, see, I feel like that for Jonathan as a man,
- 9:02Speaker 2: Like in general, I'm like, he's a man that I
- 9:04Speaker 2: trust and I just like think that he's goodness. But
- 9:09Speaker 2: with the connection between the two him, I'm just not
- 9:11Speaker 2: sure is one there yet? All Right, So let's let's
- 9:24Speaker 2: let's go through the episode a bit. So Devin's they
- 9:27Speaker 2: do the running club thing. That's cute, a good Oh.
- 9:31Speaker 2: I would have been like, I hate you for this.
- 9:35Speaker 2: I hope that they like know, like the producers obviously
- 9:38Speaker 2: know Jen enough to be like, oh, she'll be down
- 9:41Speaker 2: for this, because I I if you were like, you're
- 9:45Speaker 2: gonna run more than a quarter of a mile. I
- 9:47Speaker 2: would have been like, I'm sorry, my body doesn't do that.
- 9:50Speaker 3: I would have been crawling, like, can we just go
- 9:52Speaker 3: to a nice bar, have a nice cocktail, show me
- 9:55Speaker 3: where you like to hang out in Houston. Love that
- 9:58Speaker 3: he has an outlet, though, and that she got to
- 10:01Speaker 3: meet his friends. That was really nice. She got to
- 10:04Speaker 3: meet his dog, Charlie.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Yep, that was cute.
- 10:06Speaker 3: I'm seeing that very sweet. I was surprised that at
- 10:09Speaker 3: the beginning of this episode she said, if you would
- 10:12Speaker 3: have told me Devin was going to hometowns, I wouldn't
- 10:14Speaker 3: have to believed deal.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Neither do I think any of us. That's maybe why
- 10:19Speaker 2: I'm into Devon right now is because his character arc
- 10:22Speaker 2: has just been ever evolving.
- 10:26Speaker 3: I called me and Ben were like, he's mid season elimination.
- 10:29Speaker 3: This man is not going past week four, so he's
- 10:33Speaker 3: the survivor.
- 10:34Speaker 2: And here I am being like, you should pick him. Oh,
- 10:39Speaker 2: I know. He just is so multidimensional that maybe I
- 10:42Speaker 2: just find him interesting and I like dislike him on
- 10:45Speaker 2: my TV.
- 10:46Speaker 3: And they did comment on the Pete Davidson Yeah, fine.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Multiple times now oh she already did.
- 10:52Speaker 3: Yeah. And then to the running group, she was like
- 10:54Speaker 3: doesn't he look like Pete Davidson And they all agreed.
- 10:56Speaker 3: I'm like, okay, so we're all on the same page.
- 10:58Speaker 3: He's very good looking.
- 11:00Speaker 2: Yeah, he has it's the Pete Davidson mouth that he has.
- 11:04Speaker 2: And then he does have that big energy yes, BD
- 11:08Speaker 2: whatever BD.
- 11:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:11Speaker 2: I mean this guy is in the you know, he's
- 11:15Speaker 2: probably in great shape, but like when he took his
- 11:18Speaker 2: clothes off at the thunder down Under, by far the
- 11:20Speaker 2: least uh, you know, aesthetically looking in shape. He looks
- 11:26Speaker 2: in shape. Guys. We're just saying that. The rest of
- 11:28Speaker 2: the guys you know, have like six packs and they're
- 11:31Speaker 2: like got oil all over their bodies and he's just
- 11:34Speaker 2: like looking normal ish. Yes, I agree, But but my
- 11:40Speaker 2: whole point of saying that is that he still is
- 11:42Speaker 2: able to like conduct himself with such confidence and be attractive.
- 11:47Speaker 3: He has something then feels it. Yeah, because even at
- 11:52Speaker 3: the end of this episode two, well okay, I'm jumping
- 11:55Speaker 3: the gun again.
- 11:56Speaker 2: No, no, no, jump the gun, jump the gun a little bit,
- 11:58Speaker 2: because at the end, this is what we do. We're girls.
- 12:02Speaker 2: We're just like that does God a terrain of thought
- 12:04Speaker 2: that always keeps me in line.
- 12:06Speaker 3: I know, we need so at the end of this
- 12:09Speaker 3: episode or not at the end of this episode. I
- 12:12Speaker 3: guess at the end of each hometown this episode, every
- 12:15Speaker 3: guy did the same day. I'm like, come on, you
- 12:18Speaker 3: guys are all following this pattern.
- 12:20Speaker 2: What I'm falling in love with you? Yes, But Devin's
- 12:24Speaker 2: was different. Rangel, that's the thing. He said, I'm in
- 12:27Speaker 2: love with you.
- 12:28Speaker 3: Yes. But they all feel like they have to do
- 12:31Speaker 3: it at this specific point, and I feel like Devin
- 12:34Speaker 3: knows he has to say that.
- 12:37Speaker 2: To be different and to be ahead of the game.
- 12:40Speaker 3: Yes, they know what they need to do to go
- 12:44Speaker 3: to next week. Like it feels like everyone was kind
- 12:47Speaker 3: of a little bit playing a game at the end
- 12:50Speaker 3: of each hometown, which I just wish it came more
- 12:53Speaker 3: like authentic throughout the season, like when they really felt
- 12:57Speaker 3: these feelings, they told her instead of waiting and having
- 13:00Speaker 3: Jen tell the parents and the parents having to push
- 13:03Speaker 3: the men like why are you saying? How do you feel?
- 13:06Speaker 2: Well, that's what we see most notably in Devon's hometown.
- 13:10Speaker 2: It was his mom that was like, Yeah, it's uncomfortable
- 13:14Speaker 2: to tell a girl that has three other boyfriends that
- 13:17Speaker 2: you love her, but you've got to do it as
- 13:19Speaker 2: far as the family goes. That's really my biggest takeaway
- 13:23Speaker 2: with Devin's Is there anything else worth mentioning you feel?
- 13:26Speaker 3: I wrote that the mom was so sweet. It was Jennifer.
- 13:29Speaker 3: I think, yeah, yeah, I was just like, this hometown
- 13:33Speaker 3: was so good, Like, yeah, I think it was so smooth.
- 13:36Speaker 3: They told her that they could see her fitting in
- 13:38Speaker 3: with their family. I think she heard everything she needed
- 13:41Speaker 3: to hear. He feels the support from his family to
- 13:44Speaker 3: move forward. It was just it was a great hometown.
- 13:47Speaker 2: It was just good. There was nothing wrong with it.
- 13:49Speaker 2: There was really nothing wrong with any of the hometowns.
- 13:52Speaker 2: This is which I was, which made for not a
- 13:55Speaker 2: very dramatic episode, which is why I think I probably
- 13:58Speaker 2: was just like.
- 14:00Speaker 3: But then we got Marcus spiraling.
- 14:02Speaker 2: But then we got Marcus, And we'll get there in
- 14:04Speaker 2: a couple of minutes, because let's talk about Jeremy's hometown first,
- 14:08Speaker 2: in Fairfield, Connecticut.
- 14:11Speaker 3: The East Coast.
- 14:12Speaker 2: The first thing that stood out to me was that
- 14:17Speaker 2: jen said, I feel so strongly about our connection that
- 14:21Speaker 2: I waited to bring him on the one on one
- 14:23Speaker 2: until last week, and I was like, holy crap, Ben
- 14:26Speaker 2: and I have been really off with that then, because
- 14:29Speaker 2: we've been like, why is Jeremy still around? I started
- 14:32Speaker 2: to think I understood why Jeremy was around last week,
- 14:35Speaker 2: but for Gent too felt so strongly the entire time.
- 14:38Speaker 2: That was surprising to me. What about you?
- 14:41Speaker 3: I think that this was supposed to be Sam Emm's
- 14:45Speaker 3: hometown and that if things would have went smoother on
- 14:49Speaker 3: that group day, if he didn't implode, I think this
- 14:52Speaker 3: would have been him.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Okay, I completely agree with you, But then why do
- 14:57Speaker 2: you think that she says that she felt so secure
- 14:59Speaker 2: about them the entire time?
- 15:00Speaker 3: I think maybe she wasn't thinking about him as much,
- 15:04Speaker 3: knowing who her final four were at that point, and
- 15:07Speaker 3: then she decided to give Jeremy this date and realized
- 15:12Speaker 3: how much of a connection they do have. Because I
- 15:14Speaker 3: do see it. I think they're really fun together. Just
- 15:17Speaker 3: he was very surprising to get a hometown from my
- 15:21Speaker 3: point of view.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Also, he reminded me that he was the one that
- 15:24Speaker 2: drove up in the sports car and had the line
- 15:26Speaker 2: about having a big wing, you know, wong or whatever.
- 15:29Speaker 2: I was like, wait a second, no, that's you Jeremy.
- 15:34Speaker 3: I couldn't believe he brought that up in front of
- 15:36Speaker 3: his parents. Like they have a great relationship, because I
- 15:38Speaker 3: would have just prayed it didn't err and they would
- 15:42Speaker 3: have cut my entrance at that point. But we love
- 15:45Speaker 3: that they all got a laugh out of it.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, Ben and I definitely like mentally eliminated
- 15:51Speaker 2: him early on, and then I just realized that that's
- 15:54Speaker 2: the same.
- 15:55Speaker 3: She had some like wild entrances in her final four,
- 15:59Speaker 3: like Jonathan's was in the cast, like we didn't even
- 16:01Speaker 3: know what he looked like.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Oh well, Jonathan covering his face was the weirdest thing.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Once he revealed himself, I was like, you are not
- 16:08Speaker 2: the guy that should be doing that. I know, what
- 16:12Speaker 2: if it was not a good move, Like what if
- 16:14Speaker 2: she had what if she just didn't take the time done.
- 16:17Speaker 2: I don't know. It's just a weird entrance for somebody
- 16:21Speaker 2: who is very attractive.
- 16:24Speaker 3: They were giving her a surprise for later, but I
- 16:28Speaker 3: thought his hometown was I get there was. I think
- 16:32Speaker 3: they were trying to make it a little bit more dramatic.
- 16:34Speaker 3: The sister was definitely giving them a little bit more
- 16:36Speaker 3: of a hard time. But I wrote, I'm like with
- 16:39Speaker 3: reason because he also is giving nothing to the family.
- 16:45Speaker 3: I was like, is he going to tell them what
- 16:47Speaker 3: he likes about her, the qualities, how he knows it's
- 16:50Speaker 3: a little late, but he really sees her as his wife.
- 16:52Speaker 3: He was just like, we have fun.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Yeah, Yeah, he started showing doubt for like he started,
- 16:59Speaker 2: he showed more doubt with the family than he has
- 17:02Speaker 2: ever I But then you know, they did have to
- 17:06Speaker 2: kind of finesse it so that somebody's hometown was like
- 17:11Speaker 2: the oh, he's the one that may not be ready
- 17:13Speaker 2: to get engaged, but he did have They have Marcus
- 17:15Speaker 2: for that. But Marcus feels different. It feels deeper. It
- 17:19Speaker 2: feels like like in his character, we don't there's just
- 17:25Speaker 2: a lot up in the air. But with Jeremy, it
- 17:27Speaker 2: was like is he ready for an engagement? It just
- 17:30Speaker 2: felt like a lighter version of it.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Yeah, And I mean kind of on the same lines
- 17:34Speaker 3: as Sam where she was like do you really know me?
- 17:38Speaker 3: I feel like she maybe feels that in the back
- 17:40Speaker 3: front mine with Jeremy because it's so new, asking him
- 17:44Speaker 3: is he ready for an engagement? Meeting the family, it
- 17:46Speaker 3: feels kind of like maybe it's a little too late
- 17:48Speaker 3: in the game for them.
- 17:49Speaker 2: Yeah, he had like to catch up and like it's
- 17:52Speaker 2: just one of those classic scenarios. It's like, oh, we're
- 17:54Speaker 2: not going to be able to get there based on
- 17:56Speaker 2: where I am with the other guys. But the grocery
- 17:59Speaker 2: store was so fun. I was like, what kind of
- 18:02Speaker 2: grocery store is this? I want to go? Yeah, how
- 18:07Speaker 2: the ant happened to be there and that seemed authentic.
- 18:10Speaker 2: I don't think that the producers planted that.
- 18:13Speaker 3: Is that very like New England just to run in?
- 18:16Speaker 2: Yesore, Yes, that would happen to Jared on a hometown
- 18:21Speaker 2: if he went to the grocery store one thousand percent.
- 18:24Speaker 3: They got the lobster role.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just I mean, yeah, it was cute, it
- 18:29Speaker 2: was fun.
- 18:29Speaker 3: The daytime dates were not impressing me as much.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Yeah for this home, No, because Jonathan's was Lacrosse and
- 18:38Speaker 2: I'm Marcus and Marcus had nothing. But we'll again, We'll
- 18:43Speaker 2: get to that in a second. Yeah. The one last
- 18:46Speaker 2: thing I want to bring up about Jeremy's hometown is
- 18:50Speaker 2: that they had this line from the mom that says,
- 18:55Speaker 2: when I heard Jen describe what she looks for and
- 18:58Speaker 2: a guy, I thought to myself, that's not Jeremy, and
- 19:02Speaker 2: so I thought that was going to be a theme
- 19:05Speaker 2: in you know that part of the date, and it wasn't.
- 19:09Speaker 2: They never brought it up again. But then I had
- 19:12Speaker 2: to go look online and be like, oh, what is
- 19:14Speaker 2: the what is like the canned line that she said
- 19:17Speaker 2: she was looking for on the Bachelorette And she said,
- 19:19Speaker 2: a really big personality, someone who can take it as
- 19:23Speaker 2: much as they dish it, and somebody who's really good
- 19:26Speaker 2: at cheeky banter. So I don't know whether or not
- 19:28Speaker 2: the mom was being sarcastic there, because he certainly can
- 19:33Speaker 2: have the cheeky banter with her and condition and he
- 19:36Speaker 2: seems to have a pretty he seems he has a personality.
- 19:40Speaker 3: I think so too, like they have so much fun
- 19:42Speaker 3: on their date. Yeah, yeah, that is interesting obviously moms.
- 19:46Speaker 3: I feel like, no, their sounds at a deeper level.
- 19:49Speaker 3: So maybe she feels he's more reserved, But I thought, yeah, there,
- 19:54Speaker 3: there wasn't any sort of animosity or conflict at all
- 19:58Speaker 3: with mom. I think she was asking the right questions
- 20:01Speaker 3: and I think giving Jen a chance, which is something
- 20:05Speaker 3: a lot of parents don't do. On Home Johns, they
- 20:08Speaker 3: kind of want to take it out on the lead
- 20:09Speaker 3: that the process is the process.
- 20:11Speaker 2: And yeah, oh they just hate the fact that they
- 20:14Speaker 2: have other boys, friends or girlfriends or whatever. Yes, they're
- 20:18Speaker 2: on the Bachelor's Lash Bachelorette. Well, what did your dad?
- 20:22Speaker 2: Your dad was the king of that, wasn't he?
- 20:24Speaker 3: My dad was the worst. He knows the show and
- 20:27Speaker 3: he's like, what about my daughter? I'm like whatever, But yeah,
- 20:33Speaker 3: all the parents I thought were good this season.
- 20:35Speaker 2: You know what was missing though, a big dad figure.
- 20:39Speaker 2: It was it was the mom show. Jonathan's dad didn't
- 20:43Speaker 2: even talk.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Yeah that we had Devin's dad.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Yeah, Den's dad who he doesn't have a you know,
- 20:50Speaker 2: the closest relationship to. But he said that he wanted
- 20:52Speaker 2: to get his approval on the girl. All right, Well
- 20:56Speaker 2: let's go on to Jonathan's date then. Yeah, the it's
- 21:01Speaker 2: a throwaway the beginning where they play lacrosse. I barely
- 21:06Speaker 2: absorbed any of it, but we do get brought up
- 21:09Speaker 2: a lot again that he has like a distrust with
- 21:13Speaker 2: women because of how his ex went about things, and
- 21:17Speaker 2: he's just afraid of getting in deep with somebody who
- 21:20Speaker 2: is like not on the same page, the classic classic
- 21:24Speaker 2: We know this, but he does.
- 21:26Speaker 3: Have that same I guess him and Jen are able
- 21:29Speaker 3: to bond on that since they both had those pretty
- 21:32Speaker 3: traumatic relationships. Yeah, but I will say Jonathan's brother and
- 21:36Speaker 3: sister in law did bring a little bit of a
- 21:39Speaker 3: little bit of drama, not too much talking about how
- 21:41Speaker 3: they met on Tinder and they said I love you
- 21:44Speaker 3: on the third date. But I think his brother was
- 21:47Speaker 3: also he was a little protective questions.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Yeah, but they also seem to be more on her,
- 21:54Speaker 2: like more on her side and supportive than anything, because
- 21:57Speaker 2: they're like, we understand a fast process. We said I
- 22:00Speaker 2: you on the third day. You know all that.
- 22:04Speaker 3: Now, not much to note really, not.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Really not much to know on that hometown.
- 22:10Speaker 3: Mom, she was very sweet. Oh she did say that
- 22:15Speaker 3: she absolutely sees him being with her long term.
- 22:19Speaker 2: And case that's right.
- 22:21Speaker 3: Yeah, she was very confident, Yes, and I remember noting that.
- 22:25Speaker 3: But other than that, Jen is again just asking these moms,
- 22:30Speaker 3: do you think he can open up? He's holding back?
- 22:33Speaker 3: It seems like she feels this way about a lot
- 22:35Speaker 3: of that.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Yeah, except for I guess with Devin, she doesn't really
- 22:39Speaker 2: feel like he's holding back. Everybody else had that. There
- 22:42Speaker 2: was that theme and then we're going to see it
- 22:44Speaker 2: apparently play into next week's episode when or Yeah, fantasy
- 22:48Speaker 2: sweets when all of them start showing doubt, or the
- 22:53Speaker 2: scenes from the next episode show each of them showing
- 22:57Speaker 2: doubt about whether or not they can get there, presumably
- 23:01Speaker 2: to an engagement. Now, I think some of this is editing.
- 23:05Speaker 3: Still, the conversation she has with Marcus, for she says.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Oh, no, Marcus is gonna be legit. The other two,
- 23:11Speaker 2: I don't believe that they have as many reservations.
- 23:13Speaker 3: I don't know if I'm gonna have to close my
- 23:15Speaker 3: eyes watching it when she says it first, Like, as
- 23:17Speaker 3: a lead, you're always so scared to say anything first.
- 23:21Speaker 3: You kind of wait to see where they're at. Yeah,
- 23:23Speaker 3: for her to say I love you first and he
- 23:25Speaker 3: says like, thank you for sharing that.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Basically that's yes, yes, yes, yes, that's when they're gonna
- 23:33Speaker 2: He's gonna he's gonna have to leave. I think he's
- 23:36Speaker 2: gonna have you think, yeah, what do you think?
- 23:39Speaker 3: It seems to me that she really, really really likes him,
- 23:43Speaker 3: and I think if he gives her just a little
- 23:46Speaker 3: bit more, she will.
- 23:48Speaker 2: I think he's her pick, but I also feel like
- 23:52Speaker 2: she he's her pick because he's like playing hard to
- 23:55Speaker 2: get well, he's not playing it, he's just hard to get,
- 23:58Speaker 2: and I think that everybody he naturally likes that.
- 24:02Speaker 3: Interesting because I feel like that's more of a theme
- 24:05Speaker 3: for the Bachelor's and the girls normally choose who is.
- 24:09Speaker 2: Like, well, I think you chose somebody who was very
- 24:12Speaker 2: confident in like expressing feelings. So is that like more
- 24:16Speaker 2: your style? Like you like it when somebody says exactly
- 24:19Speaker 2: how they feel because I like a heart to get.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Oh surprise, Well.
- 24:23Speaker 3: I do too, of course, like normally in real life.
- 24:25Speaker 3: But I was so scarred by my time on the Bachelor. Yeah,
- 24:29Speaker 3: with Clayton, in my opinion, like going after someone who
- 24:33Speaker 3: was like I don't want to be a part of
- 24:35Speaker 3: this and not giving him what he wanted. I'm like,
- 24:37Speaker 3: I'm not gonna go for the person who changes their
- 24:40Speaker 3: mind or who is unsure of me. So I was like,
- 24:44Speaker 3: all right, he's sure this has to be the right decision.
- 24:47Speaker 3: It wasn't.
- 24:49Speaker 2: Nobody there was your right decision, that's the bottom line.
- 24:52Speaker 3: Yeah, No, that was rough. That was rough.
- 24:55Speaker 2: You wouldn't have ended up with any of those guys.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Let's move on to Marcus's home date hometown day. So
- 25:11Speaker 2: let's talk about last week's episode really quick, especially since
- 25:14Speaker 2: it's freshing your mind as you just caught up. I
- 25:17Speaker 2: was also not recapping last week because I had I
- 25:21Speaker 2: was on mom duty and I really wanted to talk
- 25:25Speaker 2: about Marcus's story, which was, you know, so sad. I
- 25:31Speaker 2: can't I can't even believe that there are people like
- 25:34Speaker 2: that that drop their kids off at daycare and they
- 25:37Speaker 2: don't come back. I'm beyond me. But then he never
- 25:43Speaker 2: clarified like what happened to the rest of his childhood
- 25:46Speaker 2: and whether he was adopted, and I was so interested
- 25:49Speaker 2: in how that turned out. We find out in this
- 25:51Speaker 2: episode that he was adopted because he said, my adoptive
- 25:54Speaker 2: parents won't be there, but these like elder friends of
- 25:58Speaker 2: mine will. What was your thoughts on that, you wonder
- 26:03Speaker 2: the same thing? Was I missing something?
- 26:05Speaker 3: No? It was horrific, and I was really glad. I
- 26:10Speaker 3: told Jen. She was crying. We were like in shock
- 26:13Speaker 3: because you would just never expect something like that ever.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Few times have I been watching the show and just
- 26:20Speaker 2: like I freeze in just in shock.
- 26:23Speaker 3: I know, and he's been through so much, He's a
- 26:26Speaker 3: veteran and to go through this. I was glad he
- 26:28Speaker 3: did get that time with Jen to tell her before hometowns.
- 26:34Speaker 3: It was, I mean horrific. I'm so glad he has
- 26:37Speaker 3: that relationship with his sister though, and you can really
- 26:40Speaker 3: tell in his hometown that he is surrounded really love him.
- 26:47Speaker 3: So that was really really amazing to see on this hometown.
- 26:51Speaker 2: My bad for saying that Devin was the standout of
- 26:53Speaker 2: this episode. It was actually the sister because there's something
- 26:57Speaker 2: that radiated off the sister that really.
- 27:00Speaker 3: When Jen started crying, like how comfortable she has to be,
- 27:04Speaker 3: like her presence and her energy. Yeah, that was such
- 27:08Speaker 3: a beautiful moment on this episode to like see Jen really,
- 27:12Speaker 3: like I feel like this is the first time she's
- 27:14Speaker 3: been like one hundred percent authentic, Like you could really
- 27:17Speaker 3: see the emotion and the fear and everything coming through,
- 27:21Speaker 3: and it's like really beautiful to watch her like get
- 27:25Speaker 3: to this point in the journey.
- 27:26Speaker 2: And I don't know whether it's because of the trauma
- 27:30Speaker 2: that she knows he went through, or whether it is
- 27:32Speaker 2: her the intensity of her feelings for him, but that
- 27:35Speaker 2: was the moment in which I said, Oh, Okay, Marcus
- 27:38Speaker 2: is her topic.
- 27:41Speaker 3: I agree. I think it's obvious that she has I
- 27:45Speaker 3: think she's like in love with him in this moment too. Yeah,
- 27:49Speaker 3: even though she doesn't say it, and she knows he's
- 27:51Speaker 3: falling and she's falling. But I think I think they're
- 27:54Speaker 3: both in love. But watching him spiral at the end
- 27:57Speaker 3: of this episode was actually pretty shocking after seeing such
- 28:01Speaker 3: an incredible home job.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I'm curious as to what, like, you know,
- 28:06Speaker 2: I want to know more about his his life. I
- 28:10Speaker 2: don't know if we'll get it. It was also weird
- 28:15Speaker 2: that they and that's fine if some things he asked
- 28:18Speaker 2: to keep private, Like that's totally fine and like awesome
- 28:21Speaker 2: if they respected keeping certain things private, which may have
- 28:25Speaker 2: been why the adoptive parents weren't there. But but it
- 28:30Speaker 2: was weird that they would have eliminated his daytime portion
- 28:34Speaker 2: of the date. I thought we were going to get
- 28:36Speaker 2: a nighttime portion because you know how sometimes they like
- 28:38Speaker 2: have like a picnic or a barbecue and then they
- 28:40Speaker 2: do it at the night. And I was shocked that
- 28:42Speaker 2: we're not going to get that with Marcus of all people,
- 28:44Speaker 2: and they're going to give us this boy meeting at
- 28:47Speaker 2: a bar instead. So we got we got the group
- 28:51Speaker 2: the boy group chat instead of whatever they did, and
- 28:55Speaker 2: all it was supposed.
- 28:56Speaker 3: To do was make Marcus Spire was.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Make Mark feel probably worse and weirder for not being there,
- 29:07Speaker 2: you know, not having those feelings there yet. But like
- 29:12Speaker 2: I just didn't think we needed We just did. We
- 29:14Speaker 2: didn't need to see it. They could have taped it,
- 29:16Speaker 2: but it wasn't It wasn't very consequential.
- 29:20Speaker 3: I just think I wrote like even down, like this
- 29:23Speaker 3: is so unnecessary because I remember being at this point
- 29:26Speaker 3: on The Bachelor and everyone being like, all right, this
- 29:30Speaker 3: is the time and the journey where yeah, you see
- 29:32Speaker 3: your friends and it's nice like in passing, but it
- 29:35Speaker 3: is all about your relationship and you need to be
- 29:37Speaker 3: focusing on that. And I feel like this is hindering everyone.
- 29:42Speaker 3: Why do they need to be hearing about the hometown
- 29:46Speaker 3: and who loves who? Like? It just is going to
- 29:49Speaker 3: affect everything negatively. I don't understand it.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Do you think that possibly we're looking at it in
- 29:56Speaker 2: an interesting way because we're looking at it as a
- 29:59Speaker 2: way of Mark is to kind of start to go
- 30:02Speaker 2: go even further down the whirlpool of worry, Or you
- 30:07Speaker 2: think that they possibly were trying to get this is
- 30:11Speaker 2: my producer brand hat. Do you think that they were
- 30:13Speaker 2: trying to get his doubts to get into the heads
- 30:16Speaker 2: of the other guys and be like, oh, wait a second,
- 30:19Speaker 2: I'm also doubting because that's kind of what the next
- 30:22Speaker 2: episode looks like.
- 30:23Speaker 3: I don't maybe I just feel like when you have
- 30:28Speaker 3: a bunch of guys, especially around someone like, for example, Devin,
- 30:33Speaker 3: who has this like my hometown went great, it went perfect,
- 30:36Speaker 3: it went this, and then even if you think yours
- 30:38Speaker 3: went well, all the other guys are going to start
- 30:40Speaker 3: getting in their head. So it just feels like, what
- 30:44Speaker 3: was the point of this, because Jen is getting engaged
- 30:46Speaker 3: at the end of this, Why are we going.
- 30:48Speaker 2: To make guys feel ways about each other. There's no
- 30:52Speaker 2: need for guys to feel ways about each other right
- 30:54Speaker 2: now because they're going to be so separate, and it's.
- 30:58Speaker 3: Just like they start to really get in their head. Like, actually,
- 31:01Speaker 3: I remember my overnight dates people telling me like, oh,
- 31:05Speaker 3: we just thought you would already pick Tino because he's
- 31:08Speaker 3: so confident in the way he speaks, and it's just like,
- 31:12Speaker 3: no one needs to be around each other at this
- 31:15Speaker 3: late in the journey, like in my opinion, but.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Then you also are getting a lot more alone time,
- 31:20Speaker 2: just you and your own brain, because beforehand it's constantly
- 31:24Speaker 2: social hour and now at this point you're in a
- 31:28Speaker 2: hotel room by yourself most of the day.
- 31:31Speaker 3: Yeah, that's true.
- 31:32Speaker 2: Well, okay, so at the end of the episode, I'm
- 31:36Speaker 2: I'm wondering after this conversation whether one of the guys
- 31:40Speaker 2: is gonna bring this up to her. And I thought
- 31:43Speaker 2: it could have been Jeremy when he got eliminated sitting
- 31:46Speaker 2: to hert with her on the bench, but it seemed
- 31:49Speaker 2: to not bring up I mean, nobody said anything yet.
- 31:52Speaker 2: Do you think that these guys are just gonna blow
- 31:55Speaker 2: it off or do you think that this could be
- 31:56Speaker 2: something that comes back up, like hey, we had beers
- 31:59Speaker 2: the other day in mar Because it is like he's
- 32:01Speaker 2: not so sure.
- 32:03Speaker 3: I feel like if it does come up, it could
- 32:05Speaker 3: be like maybe in her overnights, like when the camera's off. Yeah,
- 32:09Speaker 3: I know that's when things were brought to me. Yeah,
- 32:12Speaker 3: because at this point, I feel like the drama like
- 32:15Speaker 3: they're not trying to make drama anymore. It's like, can
- 32:18Speaker 3: I get engaged in four days because at this point,
- 32:20Speaker 3: like how many days are left? Yeah, I would be
- 32:23Speaker 3: shocked if it is brought up on here.
- 32:25Speaker 2: I don't think it will be but again, just why
- 32:28Speaker 2: do it with the other guys? It just felt weird.
- 32:31Speaker 2: I wonder if his hometown date was like a total
- 32:34Speaker 2: bus and it was really bad TV and they're just like, oh,
- 32:36Speaker 2: we can throw this out.
- 32:38Speaker 3: Well, also, like it just feels weird that everything was
- 32:40Speaker 3: happening during the day.
- 32:42Speaker 2: Oh yeah, so they had already done it during the day,
- 32:45Speaker 2: but during the night time, but they may have had
- 32:48Speaker 2: who knows what happens at night. Yeah, Brad Dowton had
- 32:50Speaker 2: it at night.
- 32:52Speaker 3: Yeah. I normally feel like all mine are at night. No, the.
- 32:57Speaker 2: Family part is at night, and then the daytime date
- 32:59Speaker 2: is all during the day.
- 33:01Speaker 3: Yeah. It just was cut short so we got to
- 33:04Speaker 3: see Happy Hour.
- 33:06Speaker 2: Yeah, but weird next week but next week well okay,
- 33:10Speaker 2: well John Jeremy was eliminated and nobody was surprised. Absolutely
- 33:15Speaker 2: nobody was surprised. He handled it beautifully though, Wasn't he
- 33:20Speaker 2: just so kind?
- 33:21Speaker 3: He was? And I loved how they try to make
- 33:23Speaker 3: kids seem like is it going to be Marcus, Like, no,
- 33:26Speaker 3: Marcus is not going home, Like he was standing up
- 33:28Speaker 3: at all the camera angles. But I think Jeremy was
- 33:32Speaker 3: just happy to be there at this point.
- 33:35Speaker 2: Yeah, but he was very He's handled super sweet. He
- 33:39Speaker 2: was like, you're the best, Like I had the greatest
- 33:42Speaker 2: time with you all these you know, he basically said,
- 33:45Speaker 2: like I just want you to end up with somebody
- 33:48Speaker 2: happy over there. It was all great, and then we
- 33:52Speaker 2: can get into the scenes to the next episode, you know,
- 33:56Speaker 2: all mental? Can we just can we just really eliminate
- 33:59Speaker 2: this so nobody needs it anymore?
- 34:02Speaker 3: Mental? Yeah, I mean I do want to see her
- 34:07Speaker 3: Sam to fill Yes, I.
- 34:09Speaker 2: Am as sure a fool, an absolute fool insanity.
- 34:14Speaker 3: Yeah, And then him doubling down online and his.
- 34:18Speaker 2: Family can you fill me in on that?
- 34:21Speaker 3: So he is very upset about his edit.
- 34:24Speaker 2: I know. And then the family said that you'll find
- 34:28Speaker 2: out why he's so upset, and they.
- 34:30Speaker 3: Were like basically kind of shading Jen a little bit
- 34:34Speaker 3: and saying she's not as perfect as they edit her.
- 34:39Speaker 3: I just I would love to know the lens that
- 34:41Speaker 3: Sam sees himself through that what he was saying wasn't
- 34:45Speaker 3: real because you said that, like you were the one
- 34:49Speaker 3: that said you wish Daisy and Maria.
- 34:51Speaker 2: Were there and that ever heard wildest thing. Why would
- 34:57Speaker 2: you say that? And also like could you be more
- 34:59Speaker 2: stunning then? Jen? Like you know genuinely.
- 35:02Speaker 3: I mean, all three so beautiful and for you to
- 35:05Speaker 3: be like she's not my type.
- 35:07Speaker 2: How no, no, Like this is what I was saying to
- 35:09Speaker 2: my friends this weekend when this was brought up. I
- 35:13Speaker 2: was like, Chris Soles wasn't my type, but he's so hot.
- 35:18Speaker 2: I was like, I can that. I was like, if
- 35:21Speaker 2: I gonna pull up in the limo, like, I was like, Okay,
- 35:23Speaker 2: he's hot, he's good looking, you know. I was like, yeah,
- 35:25Speaker 2: I think I like him. You pull up in that
- 35:27Speaker 2: limo and I was like, that's the most stunning man
- 35:30Speaker 2: I've ever seen. I don't care that he's like you know, yeah,
- 35:33Speaker 2: it's just like a blonde guy like he's not. It
- 35:35Speaker 2: doesn't matter because you know, I'm like, you know, I
- 35:37Speaker 2: was like, you know, Jared and Jonathan and those are like,
- 35:40Speaker 2: that's my typical type. It doesn't matter. There's a certain
- 35:43Speaker 2: point where somebody's so attractive that doesn't matter if it's
- 35:46Speaker 2: your type or not.
- 35:47Speaker 3: I you agreed, Jenney. If we were talking to we're like,
- 35:50Speaker 3: we were told we're like getting Andrew and Greg. We
- 35:52Speaker 3: were like Andrew Greg and then all of a sudden
- 35:54Speaker 3: we had Clayton. We didn't even know who he was.
- 35:57Speaker 3: Michelle Seys didn't even air and then all of a
- 35:59Speaker 3: sudden we pull up and I'm like, oh my gosh,
- 36:01Speaker 3: like you are so attracted. Yeah, it doesn't just because
- 36:04Speaker 3: I wasn't expecting it.
- 36:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:05Speaker 3: I never went up to him. Was like, you know,
- 36:08Speaker 3: I heard Andrew Spencer was supposed to be like, you
- 36:10Speaker 3: just don't say that, like what I Molly Messig's face
- 36:16Speaker 3: is everything to the way she was like, I do
- 36:19Speaker 3: not believe you're speaking to her like that.
- 36:22Speaker 2: I wish that I was in the control room when
- 36:27Speaker 2: that was said, because everybody was like laughing, gasping, draws
- 36:32Speaker 2: on the ground. They couldn't believe that. They just got
- 36:34Speaker 2: content like that.
- 36:36Speaker 3: And he did that himself. No one edited him.
- 36:39Speaker 2: Why wild Wild? Yes, Okay, so next week we do
- 36:42Speaker 2: have Mentella where all these things we addressed, but we
- 36:47Speaker 2: also I cannot wait for fantasy suites where we see
- 36:53Speaker 2: every guy's like, I don't know how to get there
- 36:56Speaker 2: with you. And then she says, what am I doing wrong?
- 37:00Speaker 2: Like am I doing something? And I don't. I don't think.
- 37:05Speaker 3: So I really feel like her time with Devon isn't
- 37:08Speaker 3: gonna go poorly.
- 37:11Speaker 2: You think it's gonna go well.
- 37:13Speaker 3: I think her interview is saying doing something wrong, is
- 37:16Speaker 3: talking about Marcus.
- 37:17Speaker 2: Okay, I think agree. I think that Jonathan and Devon
- 37:21Speaker 2: it's gonna go well. I think it's probably it's all
- 37:24Speaker 2: frank and bitten. You know, that's what they call it.
- 37:26Speaker 2: When they like put the they're manipulating it to sound
- 37:30Speaker 2: a certain way. Yeah, but then again, I can also
- 37:36Speaker 2: see Devin and now I'm just like word vomiting. I
- 37:39Speaker 2: can see Devon kind of showing a different side to
- 37:42Speaker 2: himself in the Fantasy Suite when the cameras are off.
- 37:46Speaker 3: I feel like that's such a hard thing to do. Like,
- 37:48Speaker 3: I love when people talk about this because I've been
- 37:51Speaker 3: accused of this.
- 37:52Speaker 2: Oh that's right, I've been accused of this.
- 37:55Speaker 3: I think you.
- 37:56Speaker 2: Were accused of being totally different in the Fantasy Suite.
- 37:59Speaker 3: There is every every one I've been to the Fantasy
- 38:01Speaker 3: Suite with, it's the same. It feels the same to me.
- 38:05Speaker 2: The person remains to be the same person.
- 38:07Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean you learn things, like you definitely are
- 38:10Speaker 3: talking about different things that you wouldn't normally talk about
- 38:13Speaker 3: on camera. I think that is a different conversation. But
- 38:16Speaker 3: I've never experienced like closing a door being like someone
- 38:21Speaker 3: just has a mask off, Like, yeah, I think you
- 38:24Speaker 3: kind of have an idea of them. At a point,
- 38:28Speaker 3: I think Devin's going to keep up this, like it's
- 38:31Speaker 3: almost at this point he's kind of like the perfect
- 38:35Speaker 3: playing it right, Like, yeah, it's going to be the
- 38:37Speaker 3: same into the Fantasy Suite.
- 38:39Speaker 2: Okay, do you think that Marcus is going to make
- 38:42Speaker 2: it into the Fantasy Suite because obviously they're tough. Conversation
- 38:45Speaker 2: happens before it.
- 38:46Speaker 3: I think the Fantasy Suite is a great time to
- 38:49Speaker 3: do that, to have that off camera time, you.
- 38:51Speaker 2: Should go to the Fantasy Suite. Yeah, but will they
- 38:54Speaker 2: even make it? Is it going to be too awkward
- 38:56Speaker 2: to even get in there.
- 38:58Speaker 3: I think it could maybe play out a way of
- 39:00Speaker 3: like Gabby and Jason's where they kind of had a
- 39:03Speaker 3: fight before and Gabby was like, all right, can we
- 39:06Speaker 3: please just go talk about this in private? Yeah, And
- 39:09Speaker 3: I think when he gets maybe into a room with
- 39:12Speaker 3: her and realizes like it's just her, he might chill
- 39:16Speaker 3: out a little bit. Yeah, because emotions can just be
- 39:19Speaker 3: really high with this engagement kind of looming. But when
- 39:22Speaker 3: you get that moment to go he might be able
- 39:24Speaker 3: to like realize that it's just her and it's it's
- 39:28Speaker 3: all right. But it did not look good from what
- 39:32Speaker 3: we've seen. So this is just me being.
- 39:33Speaker 2: Hopeful this from the girl that just totally forced Jared
- 39:38Speaker 2: into a fantasy suite. But like my point of view
- 39:41Speaker 2: on fantasy suites is just go there, yes, because nothing
- 39:45Speaker 2: needs to happen physically, but you can like find out
- 39:50Speaker 2: so much about the person and just it's it. I
- 39:56Speaker 2: think it's important, agreed, because you can eliminate those one
- 40:00Speaker 2: because if Marcus doesn't go in there, then they could
- 40:04Speaker 2: have like these lingering feelings of like what if we
- 40:06Speaker 2: talked about this, or like what if we did have
- 40:08Speaker 2: alone time, would it turn out any differently? And it's
- 40:10Speaker 2: like makes people feel a sense of like closure, a
- 40:17Speaker 2: better sense of closure.
- 40:18Speaker 3: Yeah, agreed. I feel like at this point, like even
- 40:22Speaker 3: if it goes as bad as like one of mine did,
- 40:25Speaker 3: like you owe it to yourself, like you have had
- 40:27Speaker 3: such a strong relationship like to really close the door
- 40:31Speaker 3: and just have that moment of like an off camera conversation.
- 40:34Speaker 3: I think they both owe it to each other, So
- 40:36Speaker 3: I think they will.
- 40:37Speaker 2: But Okay, I.
- 40:38Speaker 3: Think I think it's going to be very, very interesting
- 40:42Speaker 3: before and it sucks that we won't be able to
- 40:44Speaker 3: see the inside because I'm sure it will be an
- 40:47Speaker 3: insane conversation.
- 40:49Speaker 2: Okay, Rachel, Well, my final question for you, and I'm
- 40:52Speaker 2: sorry if you had this discussion with Ben, but maybe
- 40:56Speaker 2: it's changed now. What do you see the ending the
- 41:00Speaker 2: season looking like.
- 41:01Speaker 3: What I wish? My fantasy is that she would pick Jonathan,
- 41:07Speaker 3: but I think at this point, if Marcus gives her
- 41:11Speaker 3: what she needs, it will be Marcus.
- 41:13Speaker 2: Okay, my theory has evolved a bit now. Ben and
- 41:18Speaker 2: I have just been saying all season long, she's not
- 41:21Speaker 2: ending up with anyone. She's not ending up with anyone,
- 41:23Speaker 2: and I thought that perhaps it was because she didn't
- 41:25Speaker 2: feel enough for anyone, And now I think that she
- 41:30Speaker 2: knows that Marcus is the one that she wants to pick,
- 41:33Speaker 2: and he's gonna leave, and then she realizes that she
- 41:36Speaker 2: can never get to where she felt with Marcus with
- 41:39Speaker 2: one of the other two guys, and she's like, I'm
- 41:41Speaker 2: sorry in the game of comparison, like I know I
- 41:43Speaker 2: can't settle for a second place, and I'm just gonna
- 41:45Speaker 2: have to go out in the world and find whoever
- 41:48Speaker 2: does compare to Marcus. That would be wild and it
- 41:52Speaker 2: would perhaps be the first time it ever happened.
- 41:57Speaker 3: Right, No, it would because you feel so much pressure
- 42:01Speaker 3: no matter what, to have that engagement.
- 42:04Speaker 2: Yeah, because I remember, I don't know if you watched
- 42:06Speaker 2: back in the day, but what does desiree? People thought
- 42:09Speaker 2: that Brooks was her number one, like the entire season,
- 42:12Speaker 2: and so it felt like she was settling when she
- 42:15Speaker 2: ended up going with Chris. But then, like you know,
- 42:17Speaker 2: you talked to does these days She's like, or like
- 42:19Speaker 2: even then, not not just these days. She was like, No,
- 42:22Speaker 2: that's just the way that they made it seem like
- 42:24Speaker 2: I was pretty certain it was Chris the entire time.
- 42:26Speaker 2: But that would be the most similar storyline that I
- 42:28Speaker 2: can think of right off the bat. But you know,
- 42:31Speaker 2: let me think about it for the rest of the day.
- 42:32Speaker 2: I'm sure somebody might prop it in my head.
- 42:34Speaker 3: No, I agree. Even my season, I feel like people
- 42:36Speaker 3: were like never saw my connection with Aban, Like it
- 42:39Speaker 3: was just not shown and the people were like so
- 42:42Speaker 3: confident who the final person was. But I like was
- 42:46Speaker 3: truly like leaning his direction for a majority of the
- 42:49Speaker 3: time until like everything.
- 42:50Speaker 2: Myself, really you were towards eight towards Avan.
- 42:54Speaker 3: Yeah, oh, but I mean the way they added Obviously
- 42:58Speaker 3: I did end up with Tina, so like you can
- 43:00Speaker 3: understand maybe why certain things weren't shown as much. But
- 43:03Speaker 3: I think there are connections that can be very strong
- 43:06Speaker 3: that they don't necessarily completely show.
- 43:09Speaker 2: Yeah, good times, Rachel, good times. All right, well it's
- 43:14Speaker 2: before you know, it'll be here. We will have our answer.
- 43:17Speaker 2: We will have our answer in two weeks.
- 43:20Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 43:21Speaker 2: That is the fastest season ever, feels like it. Okay, well,
- 43:26Speaker 2: stay tuned and until then, I've been Ashley, she's been
- 43:30Speaker 2: Rachel and she's awesome. And we'll see you next time. Bye.
