- 0:08Speaker 1: Whatever it is you're trying to get done in your house,
- 0:10Speaker 1: you need professionals to help you make that happen. And
- 0:13Speaker 1: sometimes you need them to help you understand what it
- 0:15Speaker 1: is you're actually trying to do. You have a sketch,
- 0:18Speaker 1: you have an idea, but it just doesn't seem to
- 0:21Speaker 1: make sense when you say it. It's because you're talking
- 0:24Speaker 1: to people who don't know how to understand your language.
- 0:28Speaker 1: That's the story here. You got to be able to
- 0:31Speaker 1: understand the language of the people you're talking to and
- 0:33Speaker 1: then turn that into a reality. And that's what Booer does.
- 0:37Speaker 1: They're listening to you. They understand what you're trying to
- 0:39Speaker 1: get done because they've done it before. And when you
- 0:42Speaker 1: talk to them, finally, you're speaking to somebody who understands
- 0:46Speaker 1: your language. The best materials, the most skilled craftsmen, they
- 0:49Speaker 1: stand behind their work with a two-year workmanship guarantee, and
- 0:52Speaker 1: the work is spectacular. They've got a bathroom for me.
- 0:55Speaker 1: They've done a kitchen for me. Booer Remodeling. You can
- 0:58Speaker 1: call them and know you're going to get some quality
- 1:01Speaker 1: work and you're going to get a kitchen, a bathroom,
- 1:03Speaker 1: a basement. Yes, this is what you were trying to
- 1:06Speaker 1: get done. Talk to Boer today.
- 1:08Speaker 2: 317-852-5546.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Tell them Tony Katz sent you.

- 1:11Speaker 1: popcorn moment. Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go.
- 1:28Speaker 1: It's a story you need to hear to believe. Then
- 1:30Speaker 1: grab your popcorn because there is more. Debates in Maine
- 1:37Speaker 1: were amazing between Susan Collins and Troy Jackson because I
- 1:41Speaker 1: didn't know Jackson was this weird and I didn't know
- 1:44Speaker 1: Susan Collins could bring lumber. Holy cow. Iowa also like
- 1:50Speaker 1: put people in the trunk. I'm coming after you hard.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Speaking of debates, we've got the secretary of state debate
- 1:56Speaker 1: tonight and we're going to carry it here at WIBC.
- 1:59Speaker 1: So be tuned in for that. I don't know what
- 2:01Speaker 1: time it is. Do you know, Carl, do you know
- 2:03Speaker 1: what time the debate is tonight? I don't know. You're
- 2:07Speaker 1: always listening to WIBC. And thank goodness. So be listening.
- 2:11Speaker 1: We have the Secretary of State debate tonight. So just
- 2:13Speaker 1: tune in to Hammer and Nigel, and then we'll just
- 2:15Speaker 1: carry forward from there and listen to that. We'll have
- 2:17Speaker 1: the full breakdown on everything tomorrow morning. Absolutely. And we'll
- 2:21Speaker 1: have more of that for Trivia Night because that's tomorrow night.
- 2:25Speaker 1: We still have late straggler tickets available at WIBC.com for
- 2:29Speaker 1: Trivia Night there in Greenwood at Manhattan. So we'll talk
- 2:32Speaker 1: about it there. But the debate is tonight. But over
- 2:35Speaker 1: there in Maine. Oh, spectacular. And it wasn't spectacular because
- 2:42Speaker 1: the Democrat, Troy Jackson, who replaced the Nazi, Graham Platner,
- 2:47Speaker 1: it's not because he is just a gloriously radicalized progressive.
- 2:52Speaker 2: I made sure here in Maine that we have some
- 2:54Speaker 2: of the most progressive laws in the country here in Maine.
- 2:58Speaker 2: I'm never going to forget where I came from. I mean,
- 3:00Speaker 2: I'm an everyday person that is so indebted to people
- 3:03Speaker 2: who put me in this position to fight for them.
- 3:05Speaker 2: And I'm humbly asking for your vote so that we
- 3:07Speaker 2: can change our government in a way that you're going
- 3:09Speaker 2: to be proud of.
- 3:11Speaker 1: He was the president of the Maine Senate, I believe
- 3:14Speaker 1: it was, for like 20 years. And he wants progressive laws,
- 3:19Speaker 1: and now he's asking for the vote so he can
- 3:21Speaker 1: make changes to the laws he already made. I mean,
- 3:26Speaker 1: that's one heck of a take. The one part I
- 3:28Speaker 1: do like is that he actually asked for the vote.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Ron DeSantis, that's how you do it. You have to ask.
- 3:34Speaker 1: You have to ask for the vote. Ron, Ron, you
- 3:37Speaker 1: know I like you, boo-boo. You have to ask. Just
- 3:41Speaker 1: a little politics 101 right there. So progressive Maine, with
- 3:48Speaker 1: their progressive state legislature, now wants to elect him to
- 3:53Speaker 1: be more progressive. And as for the money, he seems
- 3:59Speaker 1: to have a little bit of loot or he was,
- 4:01Speaker 1: you know, listen.
- 4:04Speaker 2: I mean, just like every other legislator in Roosa County,
- 4:09Speaker 2: I'm a long ways away from home. My home is
- 4:13Speaker 2: in Allagash, but I showed up every day to work.
- 4:17Speaker 2: I made all my votes, too, and I had to
- 4:20Speaker 2: have a place in Augusta. In the past, I've had
- 4:23Speaker 2: hotel rooms. I've had apartments. We had a house, and
- 4:27Speaker 2: the FHA loan says that they understand that the majority
- 4:32Speaker 2: of the year is what primary residence is. I was
- 4:36Speaker 2: in the House five days a week, and I went
- 4:38Speaker 2: home on the weekend just like every other time, just
- 4:40Speaker 2: like every other legislator. So I'm not going to apologize
- 4:43Speaker 2: for standing out and fighting for my constituents because that's
- 4:47Speaker 2: what I did.
- 4:49Speaker 1: So you're saying you used taxpayer funds or campaign funds
- 4:54Speaker 1: to get yourself a house? I'll let the people of
- 4:59Speaker 1: Maine look into that one, what is allowed and what
- 5:01Speaker 1: isn't allowed. But this... You know, Susan Collins of Maine
- 5:07Speaker 1: is not a Republican's Republican. She's more of an Indiana Republican. Well,
- 5:16Speaker 1: Indiana State Republican. You know, a little too soft. You
- 5:20Speaker 1: could use some more strength. You could use some more vigor.
- 5:22Speaker 1: I know there's some people in the legislature who are
- 5:24Speaker 1: going to text me and be like, what the hell, Katz?
- 5:26Speaker 1: You know what I mean, kittens. Where's the boldness? Come
- 5:29Speaker 1: on now. We want what we want. You won. Act
- 5:33Speaker 1: like it. So Susan Collins very often sides with people
- 5:38Speaker 1: like Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins. You'd like to see her
- 5:41Speaker 1: stronger on a whole host of issues. But it's Maine,
- 5:45Speaker 1: and you've got to know from whence you come, and
- 5:47Speaker 1: all politics are local. What I didn't know about Susan
- 5:51Speaker 1: Collins is that Susan Collins could bring lumber. She could
- 5:55Speaker 1: show up to a debate prepared to knock the other
- 5:58Speaker 1: guy out. And in this exchange... She knocked Troy Jackson down, out,
- 6:07Speaker 1: it's over.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Sure, thank you. Troy, you've served in Augusta.
- 6:13Speaker 4: For more than 20 years. When you ran for governor
- 6:16Speaker 4: this year, you said that one of the main reasons
- 6:19Speaker 4: you were running is even though you were Senate president,
- 6:23Speaker 4: it was frustrating.
- 6:24Speaker 3: To try to get bills passed. You said that.
- 6:27Speaker 4: Governor Mills vetoed 40 of your bills and that Governor
- 6:32Speaker 4: LePage vetoed 60 of them. But your trouble in getting
- 6:37Speaker 4: bills passed goes far beyond that. In your more than
- 6:42Speaker 4: 20 years in the legislature, more than one-third... of your
- 6:48Speaker 4: bills were unanimously rejected in committee. You couldn't even find
- 6:55Speaker 4: one Democrat on.
- 6:58Speaker 3: The committee to support a third of your bills.
- 7:02Speaker 4: If you can't find one person in your own party
- 7:08Speaker 4: to vote for your bills when you were the Senate
- 7:11Speaker 4: president in Maine, how do you think you're going to
- 7:14Speaker 4: get things done in a closely divided Senate as the
- 7:19Speaker 4: most junior senator?
- 7:24Speaker 3: Damn!
- 7:28Speaker 1: Holy cow. That is really, really, really good. Painting the
- 7:43Speaker 1: picture of, you can argue, ineptitude. Painting the picture of unlikeability.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Painting the picture of incapable of getting the basics accomplished.
- 7:56Speaker 1: And painting the picture of If these Democrats in this
- 8:00Speaker 1: progressive Maine, a third of his bills, when he talks
- 8:06Speaker 1: about the over 100 denied by two different governors, if
- 8:11Speaker 1: that's the case, exactly how wackadoodle is this guy? Exactly
- 8:17Speaker 1: how progressive, exactly how out of touch, how mental is
- 8:21Speaker 1: this dude? All of the questions from that 60 seconds
- 8:26Speaker 1: from Susan Collins. outrageously well-crafted, and for her, incredibly well-delivered. Boom, boom, boom, boom.
- 8:39Speaker 1: The incredulousness with the curiosity, because nobody watching would go, oh,
- 8:47Speaker 1: that's a non-question, that's a gotcha. It's like, that's actually
- 8:50Speaker 1: a good question. Like, it's beautifully, beautifully presented. Didn't know
- 8:58Speaker 1: she had it in her at all. In every way,
- 9:06Speaker 1: shocked by that. Happily. I need more things to be
- 9:12Speaker 1: shocked by. Chuck Schumer, I'm not shocked by when he
- 9:16Speaker 1: discusses the ultimate goal.
- 9:20Speaker 5: Now more than ever, we're short of workers. We have
- 9:24Speaker 5: a population that is not reproducing it on its own
- 9:29Speaker 5: with the same level that it used to the only
- 9:32Speaker 5: way we're going to have a great future in america
- 9:34Speaker 5: is if we welcome and embrace immigrants the dreamers and
- 9:38Speaker 5: all of them because our ultimate goal is to help
- 9:40Speaker 5: the dreamers but get a path to citizenship for all
- 9:43Speaker 5: 11 million or however many undocumented there.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Are here it's wow wow um the liberalism that pushes
- 9:59Speaker 1: a culture that, that makes our younger people afraid to
- 10:03Speaker 1: date and lowers birth rates, which is also something that
- 10:06Speaker 1: happens in societies that get too rich, fat, and lazy,
- 10:12Speaker 1: can only be saved... By letting more people come into
- 10:15Speaker 1: the country illegally and giving them citizenship. Not legally, illegally. Undocumented.
- 10:21Speaker 1: He said the words. Undocumented is illegal. They just lie
- 10:25Speaker 1: because they don't want to be honest with you. So
- 10:29Speaker 1: these are the kind of progressive things that Troy Jackson's
- 10:31Speaker 1: going to vote for.
- 10:33Speaker 5: Maine?
- 10:34Speaker 1: Come on. Susan Collins ain't perfect. But holy crap, that
- 10:38Speaker 1: other dude's weird.
