- 0:24Speaker 2: was like, is it David Oh?

- 0:27Speaker 3: Yeah, Okay, thank you, big fan of your show.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Appreciate it, man, thank you for having You're obviously a legend.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Man.
- 0:32Speaker 2: I think when we think of like afrobeach, you're kind
- 0:34Speaker 2: of like the jay Z of the shit Lokey, you know,
- 0:36Speaker 2: crazy It's good. Yeah. What's it like to kind of
- 0:39Speaker 2: see your sound that you've been doing for all these
- 0:42Speaker 2: years become like the sound now.
- 0:45Speaker 3: You know, Like you know, I was born in Atlanta,
- 0:48Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Okay, I've always been like coming to America, but like
- 0:52Speaker 1: when I became a musician, especially like coming out here
- 0:55Speaker 1: you know for shows trying to push the music. It
- 0:58Speaker 1: really don't started with like just like African fans coming
- 1:01Speaker 1: to the shows, right, you know when we do shows
- 1:03Speaker 1: out here, and then he started just you know, spreading.
- 1:07Speaker 1: You know, like even when I was in college and
- 1:09Speaker 1: I used to play my friends African music and they
- 1:11Speaker 1: liked to college in Alabama. Okay, you know what I'm saying,
- 1:14Speaker 1: which which cool.
- 1:15Speaker 3: It's called Oakwood University.
- 1:17Speaker 2: It's something that he was raised in the South. Low
- 1:20Speaker 2: key yeah, yeah.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Yeah, fully, you know what I'm saying. So even when
- 1:24Speaker 1: I used to play African songs for them, I knew
- 1:26Speaker 1: that they liked it. So I always knew it was
- 1:27Speaker 1: always if there was an opportunity to be heard, you know, people,
- 1:31Speaker 1: you know, fuck with it?
- 1:33Speaker 2: What's it like? Because I feel like I don't. I
- 1:36Speaker 2: didn't know that about you, that you were kind of
- 1:37Speaker 2: you from Atlanta and you were you went to college
- 1:40Speaker 2: in Alabama. Yeah, that's like the Bible Belt for.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Real, crazy Huntsville, Alabama, Huntsville Young. I was like sixty
- 1:46Speaker 1: years old in college. You know, hey, we see you
- 1:50Speaker 1: and that's coming like straight from Legos, right, you know,
- 1:53Speaker 1: straight there. And I remember even just being in college
- 1:57Speaker 1: and talking to like friends there like household, how is
- 2:01Speaker 1: it in Nigeria?
- 2:02Speaker 3: Like how did you get here y'all got airports.
- 2:04Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, Because there were no Edue
- 2:06Speaker 1: kids that about this, about what's going on here. But
- 2:08Speaker 1: now you know what I'm saying, You have social media,
- 2:11Speaker 1: so it's different. They see a different side of Africa
- 2:13Speaker 1: when you when you tell people that, oh, I'm night Jeri,
- 2:16Speaker 1: you're like, oh, I love afrobeats. For me, like fifteen
- 2:19Speaker 1: years ago, that was not the story, you know what
- 2:21Speaker 1: was like for you?
- 2:23Speaker 2: Like can you can you kind of pinpoint in your
- 2:24Speaker 2: opinion as somebody who you know obviously has a crab
- 2:28Speaker 2: out here and went to school out here and was
- 2:30Speaker 2: born here. Can you kind of pinpoint the moment that
- 2:33Speaker 2: you noticed like America starting to kind of take a
- 2:37Speaker 2: liking to the genre.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Definitely to me from my experience, it started like from Atlanta,
- 2:44Speaker 1: two cities, Atlanta, New York or mainly Atlanta, and just
- 2:48Speaker 1: like even going out, you know what I'm saying, Like,
- 2:52Speaker 1: like one thing I knew one of my friends used
- 2:54Speaker 1: to do. He used to he was a big baller.
- 2:56Speaker 1: He would go to the club and he like spends
- 2:59Speaker 1: so much money. But he tell them every time, YO,
- 3:01Speaker 1: when you bring my bottles out, I want to hear
- 3:03Speaker 1: this song, right, you know what I'm saying. So the
- 3:07Speaker 1: DJ is playing it, you know what I'm saying, the
- 3:10Speaker 1: bottles coming out to the song, you know, and the
- 3:12Speaker 1: DJ is liking the music. And then that's that was
- 3:15Speaker 1: like one of my first experiences of like being in
- 3:17Speaker 1: the club and hearing it. Friend, yeah, and then you know,
- 3:21Speaker 1: start growing. You know, once the girls like it.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Once the girls like it, it's over.
- 3:25Speaker 3: It's over, you know what I'm saying.
- 3:27Speaker 1: So even like girls being in the coby with the guy, Okay,
- 3:31Speaker 1: you play some afro beats because you know, girls like.
- 3:35Speaker 3: It, you know, let's do it.
- 3:36Speaker 2: It obviously became because it was like a big big
- 3:38Speaker 2: thing in the UK first, right, you know, it was from.
- 3:40Speaker 3: The UK before you go to America.
- 3:42Speaker 1: You know, UK was like the first place to I
- 3:44Speaker 1: know that apro beats, Like we start doing arenas in.
- 3:47Speaker 3: The UK first, crazy, you know what I'm saying.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Afrobeats. UK actually named it Afrobeats, so that's like a
- 3:54Speaker 1: UK It's like k turn. But then you know, we
- 3:57Speaker 1: just ran with it, you know what I mean.
- 3:58Speaker 2: That's fire man. What how much can you attribute to
- 4:02Speaker 2: Drake embracing it to kind of it being like easily
- 4:06Speaker 2: bridge to the US because I feel like once Drake
- 4:08Speaker 2: gets behind anything, for the most part, it can it
- 4:10Speaker 2: can really take off.
- 4:11Speaker 1: I mean there's this there's always Niratis like, oh, you
- 4:15Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. Afrobeats was was definitely you know
- 4:18Speaker 1: what I'm saying huge, It was huge because if it
- 4:20Speaker 1: wasn't he was Drake Drake.
- 4:21Speaker 2: When it was he was like.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Before Drake, but you know, Drake is Drake. You know
- 4:25Speaker 1: what I'm saying. So i'd be lying if I see
- 4:27Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. He didn't put some spotlight
- 4:29Speaker 1: to you know, afrobeats. You know what I'm saying. And
- 4:33Speaker 1: you know it was dope. He's made some dope you
- 4:35Speaker 1: know records.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Yo. What there's this like new trend where there's the
- 4:41Speaker 2: normal version of a song and then the sped up version.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Back in the day, I mean you're from the South,
- 4:45Speaker 2: you know, there was this chopping screwed ship, the screwed
- 4:48Speaker 2: up ship back in the day to Texas. But now
- 4:51Speaker 2: I feel like every single there's like the normal version
- 4:53Speaker 2: and then they got to sped That's crazy.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Said that because I released the album was out, so
- 4:57Speaker 1: we released a couple of songs and we released the
- 5:00Speaker 1: single again with a sped.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Up Yeah, there's a sped up version.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Yah's crazy, you know what I'm saying. I don't know
- 5:05Speaker 1: some songs I don't even know, Like some songs.
- 5:07Speaker 2: I see on like TikTok and stuff, you don't even
- 5:10Speaker 2: know the normal version.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll be thinking that's that's the original when they
- 5:12Speaker 1: When I hear, I'm like, oh, okay, it makes sense now.
- 5:16Speaker 3: I mean. Social media is crazy though, Like it's a
- 5:19Speaker 3: different avenue.
- 5:19Speaker 1: When I started music, we used to talk about radio
- 5:23Speaker 1: and you know not Now it's like podcast. If you're
- 5:28Speaker 1: promoted me before, just putt on like YouTube or Facebook.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Right now you got like twenty apps. Yeah, you know,
- 5:34Speaker 1: you gotta do your promo.
- 5:35Speaker 2: I know, I keep hoping that TikTok is banned so
- 5:37Speaker 2: I don't have to worry about it anymore. It's like
- 5:40Speaker 2: one least day last day. I'm like, if TikTok is banned,
- 5:42Speaker 2: it just takes one more thing I don't have to
- 5:43Speaker 2: worry about away.
- 5:44Speaker 3: Yeah, it's going crazy, Like, yeah, are.
- 5:47Speaker 2: You pretty big on TikTok.
- 5:49Speaker 3: I mean, I got a lot of followers, but I'm like, are.
- 5:51Speaker 2: You like on the app? Scrolling and like get diving
- 5:53Speaker 2: into the algorithm. Nah nah, because you hit a sucky
- 5:56Speaker 2: in bro yo.
- 5:57Speaker 1: And every time I get on TikTok, I'll be there
- 5:58Speaker 1: for like two hours.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Yeah, because whatever you're into, it knows different and everything's
- 6:03Speaker 2: all because I just love like dogs and food, so
- 6:06Speaker 2: it just shows me puppy puppies and food.
- 6:08Speaker 1: I think it's crazy how it can tell what you like,
- 6:11Speaker 1: just like being on the app. After like a week,
- 6:13Speaker 1: he's like me, I like food.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Those you're just like guys who like cooking a minute
- 6:18Speaker 2: and like got to cook outside. Oh yeah, I love
- 6:22Speaker 2: that ship. And then I just bought a grill, like
- 6:25Speaker 2: a griddle, like a little griddler thing outside, So I'm like,
- 6:28Speaker 2: I'm always trying to find like ship to do on
- 6:30Speaker 2: the grill.
- 6:30Speaker 3: The guy that throws the butter butter bait, yeah, his food.
- 6:39Speaker 2: You ever see the uh the guy who does the
- 6:42Speaker 2: shark bite at the restaurants Big Groove, I think them too.
- 6:48Speaker 2: He might actually I interviewed him.
- 6:50Speaker 3: I think he might be.
- 6:52Speaker 2: The guy's just a massive human being and he does
- 6:57Speaker 2: very tight close. You gotta get him to do to
- 7:00Speaker 2: do a dance to yourself, how give me kind of
- 7:04Speaker 2: like your come up, because if you're in the States,
- 7:06Speaker 2: you're going to college here, how did how do you
- 7:08Speaker 2: end up popping off? You go back home?
- 7:11Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, just being in Alabama for like before
- 7:16Speaker 1: I go to college. Obviously I didn't liking to music.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Of course, we obviously, like you know, my father was
- 7:22Speaker 1: just olemans about me going to school.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Right.
- 7:25Speaker 3: You know, I'm first generation that Titana in my family.
- 7:29Speaker 2: You know, so it's a little harder to convince your.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Everybody's business business business, like hey I want to do this,
- 7:34Speaker 1: and they're like, was it normal template?
- 7:36Speaker 3: Now you know what I'm saying. You go to school
- 7:37Speaker 3: and then you go out and work for the family business.
- 7:40Speaker 1: And I'm the last kid of five, so it was
- 7:43Speaker 1: already I was not even thinking about, you know, convincing
- 7:45Speaker 1: anybody or so, you know, just being in school and awkward.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Apart from me, it's a church. It's a Christian school,
- 7:54Speaker 1: so apart from even like going to church, the choirs
- 7:57Speaker 1: or there are lots of like musicians around the school.
- 8:00Speaker 1: So the dude that lived like that stayed like on
- 8:02Speaker 1: top of me in the dorm. He was like goo sposing.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Guy's name is Jamo. So I always used to hear
- 8:08Speaker 1: like music, music like, but I never went to check.
- 8:11Speaker 1: So one day I guess said, let me go check.
- 8:13Speaker 1: So I went to check and knock the door and
- 8:16Speaker 1: then he opens his room and it's a whole studio setup.
- 8:20Speaker 3: Like in the dorm.
- 8:21Speaker 1: So i'ing like that was just recording himself. So like
- 8:24Speaker 1: that was like my first time like seeing like a
- 8:26Speaker 1: laptop in the studio equipment.
- 8:29Speaker 3: So I was like, Yo, how much is all this?
- 8:30Speaker 3: And he told me.
- 8:30Speaker 1: I was like, yo, want to buy it? Just teach
- 8:32Speaker 1: me the way around it. So he was he was
- 8:35Speaker 1: teaching me. And I also like learned off YouTube, like
- 8:39Speaker 1: how to make some YouTube.
- 8:40Speaker 2: University. Man, you can learn anything on YouTube. So what
- 8:44Speaker 2: was your first interface? Was it like U M audio,
- 8:48Speaker 2: the little M box plug.
- 8:50Speaker 3: And play USB and then I had the it was
- 8:56Speaker 3: It wasn't pro tools, it was logic.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Logic. Yeah, a lot of people learn on logic.
- 9:00Speaker 3: So from that I just started recording myself, recording myself.
- 9:02Speaker 3: But mind you.
- 9:04Speaker 1: You know, like I said, it's school, you know what
- 9:07Speaker 1: I'm saying. So I'd go home every December Christmas. So
- 9:14Speaker 1: one December I go to the club and it's like
- 9:18Speaker 1: you know before before I left in the club or
- 9:20Speaker 1: on the radio in Nigeria, they played with mostly American.
- 9:23Speaker 3: Music, like what was popping in Nigeria when I left school.
- 9:28Speaker 3: It's like fifty. Of course I love him.
- 9:32Speaker 2: I just like the world loves fifty. Fifty is just
- 9:34Speaker 2: like anywhere in the world. Yeah, usher, you know that's
- 9:38Speaker 2: like confessions.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Nearly you know this then, but you know, I fact,
- 9:43Speaker 1: I you know, noticed that when I got back after
- 9:46Speaker 1: I think I went was like two years away and
- 9:48Speaker 1: I came back with Christmas and it's like, Yo, it's.
- 9:50Speaker 3: All African music now, blah blah, it's different.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm in the club and I'm seeing like the
- 9:55Speaker 1: artists blowing up, the girls going crazy.
- 9:57Speaker 3: So I'm like, yo, this is about to be something.
- 10:00Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Right, Were you already making that kind of music in
- 10:03Speaker 2: your dorm them or was trying to rap or what
- 10:05Speaker 2: were you doing?
- 10:06Speaker 1: Na?
- 10:06Speaker 3: You know, I actually started as an engineer, Okay, you
- 10:08Speaker 3: know what I'm saying.
- 10:09Speaker 2: So you were just learning your way around here.
- 10:11Speaker 1: I used to record, like my cousins, gotcha, you know,
- 10:13Speaker 1: stuff like good to Atlanta record them. So actually started
- 10:16Speaker 1: as an engineer. So it was really like R and
- 10:20Speaker 1: B is kind of music, right, African music sometimes. But
- 10:24Speaker 1: then when I after that trip changed it changed it.
- 10:26Speaker 1: So when I got back, it was just African music.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Like after that trip, I decided, That's when I decided,
- 10:32Speaker 1: like I want to be a African musician. So the
- 10:36Speaker 1: biggest artists at that time, his name was debanch right,
- 10:41Speaker 1: So anytime like night John, say, anytime they're coming to Atlanta,
- 10:45Speaker 1: they would always call me up. You know, I hooked
- 10:47Speaker 1: them up give them some right, you know what I'm saying.
- 10:50Speaker 2: So you're with a plug. Yeah, and I was like,
- 10:52Speaker 2: fifteen fifteen, you're selling weed in Atlanta.
- 10:55Speaker 3: No, I was just selling we do.
- 10:56Speaker 2: I knew where to get it, you know where to
- 10:58Speaker 2: get it, of course, Yeah, and you were, you were
- 11:00Speaker 2: the middleman.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I knew had to get it, so you know
- 11:05Speaker 3: from there, you know what I'm saying. They came.
- 11:07Speaker 1: So one trip, one of the biggest artists at that
- 11:09Speaker 1: time came to Atlanta. I took them out, you know,
- 11:15Speaker 1: got them hotels, took them.
- 11:18Speaker 2: To the strip club, which one oh damn.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Some strip club on the South Side. It's called Club Walks.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Okay, it's old so not Magic City.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Not non Magic City.
- 11:28Speaker 1: So I took them to that club box and Yo,
- 11:31Speaker 1: they changed like twenty thousand in once. But that was
- 11:35Speaker 1: like the most one that I'd seen at that time.
- 11:37Speaker 1: I'm like, what, Y know these guys that really gets
- 11:39Speaker 1: in it. So at that point I was like, Yo,
- 11:42Speaker 1: I'm going back to school.
- 11:43Speaker 3: I want to.
- 11:43Speaker 2: I want to. I see that you can make some
- 11:45Speaker 2: real money off.
- 11:46Speaker 3: And then from then I was like, Yo, this is
- 11:48Speaker 3: one I want to do because like.
- 11:50Speaker 2: It's got to be kind of hard because you probably
- 11:51Speaker 2: were like also semi influenced by a lot of what
- 11:55Speaker 2: was going on in Atlanta, and like it's kind of
- 11:57Speaker 2: hard to like see outside of what's happening right in
- 12:01Speaker 2: front of you. So for you to go back home
- 12:03Speaker 2: during the summer and be like, oh no, there's this
- 12:05Speaker 2: whole other yeah thing going on, you know what I'm saying,
- 12:07Speaker 2: Like there's a whole there's another world outside.
- 12:09Speaker 3: Of the US, yeah, And I'm like, I don't want
- 12:12Speaker 3: to miss this, you know what I'm saying.
- 12:14Speaker 1: So that's when I started getting involved in doing me
- 12:17Speaker 1: like a forgot music production, facing it the food week.
- 12:20Speaker 1: It wasn't even affecting my academics, you know what I'm saying.
- 12:23Speaker 2: What'd you drop out?
- 12:25Speaker 3: After like two years dropped out?
- 12:26Speaker 2: Parents were happier. They didn't know.
- 12:28Speaker 3: They thought they even know I was dropped up, so
- 12:31Speaker 3: they thought that was in school. Yeah for a year,
- 12:32Speaker 3: you're like school's good sending them fake grades on that.
- 12:36Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 12:37Speaker 2: But it was the first convo where you like let
- 12:40Speaker 2: them know, like it was never a combo. Oh okay,
- 12:43Speaker 2: they just like saw you on tv DA.
- 12:46Speaker 1: So you know, he was calling my phone and at
- 12:49Speaker 1: this point, I've gone back to America, but I was
- 12:51Speaker 1: planning to go back to Nigeria to stop my music
- 12:54Speaker 1: career because like I had met people already and stuff
- 12:56Speaker 1: like that. So my sister hit me up on Facebook.
- 13:01Speaker 1: She's like, I think my dad was like trying to
- 13:03Speaker 1: call my phone. Then he called the school like trying
- 13:06Speaker 1: to reach me, and then like, oh, so David hasn't
- 13:10Speaker 1: hasn't been a road here for the past year. He's
- 13:13Speaker 1: like what what did My sister will never forget that message.
- 13:17Speaker 3: I was in a burger. Yea that news you haven't
- 13:21Speaker 3: been in school. My stomach, Oh fucking function, your whole viralthing.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Your dad's a doctor, no no, but he got like
- 13:29Speaker 2: a doctor. He's got a doctor.

- 16:10Speaker 1: After that, and then my dad like, I like, I
- 16:12Speaker 1: hit the seem disappointed to me, Like it could mess
- 16:15Speaker 1: up my whole vibe for sure.
- 16:17Speaker 3: So I was like, man, I'm not going home. I
- 16:19Speaker 3: ain't even trying to hear all Like where do I
- 16:21Speaker 3: start from?
- 16:22Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 16:23Speaker 1: Like where do I start from? You know what I'm saying?
- 16:25Speaker 1: So I was like, man, I got to blow up
- 16:27Speaker 1: that's the only way he's good to forgive me.
- 16:30Speaker 2: So did you wait to like really?
- 16:32Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I would tellt so no, no, he well
- 16:36Speaker 1: kind of, I was like about to blow up, and
- 16:38Speaker 1: then he kind of caught me kind of because I ran.
- 16:41Speaker 1: I kind of dipped, So he was looking for me
- 16:42Speaker 1: for months, and I was like, you're just on the
- 16:44Speaker 1: run from your sixteen I was like sixteen at this time.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Sixteen on the run. Not on the run, but you know,
- 16:51Speaker 2: you're on the run from from your pop. Yeah, for sure.
- 16:54Speaker 3: And then I went to London for like six months
- 16:56Speaker 3: and then my friend had the studio his house.
- 16:58Speaker 2: You're sixteen at the time, yeah, sixteen. You kind of
- 17:01Speaker 2: ran away, low Ki.
- 17:02Speaker 3: Yeah, so I was in my friend's house recording, you
- 17:07Speaker 3: know what I'm saying. He had a studio in London.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Yeah, so I recorded like ten songs, right, so I
- 17:13Speaker 1: had him with me, you know what I'm saying. At
- 17:15Speaker 1: least I have content from whenever I'm ready to drop.
- 17:18Speaker 1: So after being in London for like, it's me and
- 17:21Speaker 1: my cousin be ready that we both ran away. So
- 17:25Speaker 1: it's like, after being.
- 17:26Speaker 2: In on him for like six months, you got a
- 17:27Speaker 2: fake idea at the time, Nah that I wasn't even
- 17:30Speaker 2: going to no.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Club or I was just in my friend's house. But
- 17:32Speaker 3: you know I had American passport.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Yeah, so I just you know what I'm saying, just
- 17:35Speaker 1: good money wherever you're at, come on anywhere. So after
- 17:39Speaker 1: like six months, I was like, yo, I had the
- 17:40Speaker 1: ten songs. I saved up a little paper. I was like, yo,
- 17:43Speaker 1: I'm going to Nigeria, you know, to start, you know
- 17:47Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Get on the plane land and then
- 17:50Speaker 1: like my dad.
- 17:50Speaker 3: Like caught me. Oh shit.
- 17:53Speaker 2: As soon as I got off the plane, he was
- 17:55Speaker 2: waiting for you in Nigeria.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Yeah, the immigration he's living Nigeria, like the army gration
- 18:00Speaker 1: people just grabbed me off the plane and took me
- 18:03Speaker 1: straight to him.
- 18:04Speaker 3: I'm shoot, like, boy, I got an eye Pierson lip pressing.
- 18:11Speaker 2: He's not fucking with you.
- 18:13Speaker 3: She's looking me crazy.
- 18:14Speaker 2: It's like what happened to my son.
- 18:16Speaker 1: So we get in the car and I against he
- 18:18Speaker 1: hugged me by He's like you brother. I was like, man, daddy,
- 18:21Speaker 1: I do want to hear.
- 18:22Speaker 3: I just wanted to do music. Do you understand I
- 18:24Speaker 3: don't need anything from you.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Then we get home and the whole time I ran away,
- 18:29Speaker 1: my dad like cut everybody off, like he the hancho.
- 18:33Speaker 3: He take care of everybody. So he's like, go out
- 18:35Speaker 3: get my song now. Nobody. Everybody message me like, boy,
- 18:41Speaker 3: you better come back home. I'm hungry.
- 18:43Speaker 2: You got fucked up out here.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Everybody caught everybody off like that was like my aunties
- 18:48Speaker 1: and your dad sounds like a g in mafia. I go,
- 18:53Speaker 1: I get back home and then I have my ten songs,
- 18:56Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. So I'm just like your
- 18:58Speaker 1: house to do music. So I'm telling my siblings and
- 19:00Speaker 1: then my dad was just like, look, you know what
- 19:02Speaker 1: I'm saying. You could you could have just came and
- 19:04Speaker 1: told me. You know what I'm saying, Like, oh, this
- 19:06Speaker 1: is really what you want to do. I was like that,
- 19:08Speaker 1: I told you like ten times.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Nah. School.
- 19:11Speaker 3: So he tried it up like cutting the deal. It
- 19:15Speaker 3: was like he was with him.
- 19:18Speaker 1: So he's like, so you gotta go to school. I said, okay,
- 19:22Speaker 1: but what's it for me? He said, Man, he built
- 19:25Speaker 1: me a studio and give me some paper to start.
- 19:29Speaker 3: Off my career.
- 19:30Speaker 2: So helped out. Yeah.
- 19:32Speaker 1: So I had to go to school for like every
- 19:34Speaker 1: two weeks. I had to be a school. Well he
- 19:36Speaker 1: should be like four hours away.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Oh ship, you know what I'm saying.
- 19:39Speaker 2: What was What was the song that changed your life?
- 19:43Speaker 1: Probably my second single. It's called Domny Duo, right, So
- 19:48Speaker 1: that's when like I left school. I was like because
- 19:51Speaker 1: I was on because you're like, look it worked. The
- 19:55Speaker 1: first single was all right, you know what I'm saying,
- 19:58Speaker 1: but the second one I was in. So I was
- 20:00Speaker 1: only allowed to go to the city every two weeks.
- 20:03Speaker 1: So I'd be in school for like thirteen days four
- 20:05Speaker 1: hours away. Yeah, thirteen days, and then on the fourth,
- 20:08Speaker 1: fourteenth day, I can go to the city for just
- 20:10Speaker 1: three days to do.
- 20:12Speaker 3: Me trying to break your record stuff like that. So
- 20:16Speaker 3: and I'm in school, my dad put me next to
- 20:18Speaker 3: like the owner of the school, like I might even.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Like he's a studio. He's like like, you got you.
- 20:23Speaker 3: This is the door of the school owner. This is
- 20:25Speaker 3: my room. So every day you go to work, knocking
- 20:28Speaker 3: on the door like are you going to class? You know,
- 20:30Speaker 3: stuff like that. But when I had that second record,
- 20:33Speaker 3: my boy called me.
- 20:34Speaker 1: He was in the city. He said, it's lip. I said,
- 20:38Speaker 1: what you mean, say he was in the club last night.
- 20:40Speaker 1: He played the record, everybody went. I said, are you sure,
- 20:44Speaker 1: because if I leave this place, I'm fucked.
- 20:46Speaker 3: Yeah, I thought I forgets. So I made like a
- 20:49Speaker 3: fake body in my room, like under the clubs.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I've done this.
- 20:54Speaker 3: Yeah you put you know how to do you put people?
- 20:56Speaker 2: You stuffed the jeans? Yeah?
- 21:00Speaker 1: Overout this like that. He was called on the way
- 21:03Speaker 1: to the four hours trip. He called him I phone, like,
- 21:06Speaker 1: where are you?
- 21:06Speaker 2: What is this?
- 21:08Speaker 3: I said, Man, I'm out. So that night we got
- 21:11Speaker 3: to the city and this this is like my first time.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Scene like anything or any feeling type of any importance
- 21:21Speaker 1: of my music.
- 21:22Speaker 3: I walked in the club.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Boy, they knew who you were.
- 21:26Speaker 3: I was like I was, I was like, yo, so.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Like and I was like, that's like I'm seventeen. So
- 21:33Speaker 1: that record was like too big, Like it blew up
- 21:36Speaker 1: the whole country, the whole Africa. Like it was like
- 21:39Speaker 1: really like literally over night success crazy, you understand, Like
- 21:43Speaker 1: we all confused, like like we're not even prepared for
- 21:47Speaker 1: what came, you know what I'm saying. I'm like, oh damn,
- 21:49Speaker 1: now I got a pr publicist, I gotta get a
- 21:52Speaker 1: tour manager.
- 21:53Speaker 3: I gotta get you know what I'm saying this that
- 21:55Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying.
- 21:56Speaker 2: And from there it was just on what's the clubs like?
- 21:59Speaker 2: Because I've heard that the clubs in Nigeria are crazy wow,
- 22:02Speaker 2: but like you've been to both the Atlanta side and
- 22:05Speaker 2: so for you like, yeah, I was about to say
- 22:08Speaker 2: that's the one thing about here. It's like you know,
- 22:10Speaker 2: at bottles and they stare at each.
- 22:11Speaker 3: Other when I downcing switson to like ten am.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Just everyone's dancing, happy, smiling, crazy bottles everything.
- 22:20Speaker 2: What about are the strip clubs in Nigeria? Yeah? What
- 22:22Speaker 2: are the strip club vibes like compared to just like
- 22:25Speaker 2: just like same thing.
- 22:26Speaker 3: And funny enough, a lot of like dancers fly from America.
- 22:30Speaker 2: To dance out there, to go dance out there.
- 22:32Speaker 3: Oh there's fire.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Uh so you got the new project out timeless? Uh?
- 22:38Speaker 2: For people who don't know, man, are you very like
- 22:41Speaker 2: aware of like your place in like Afrobeat's history. When
- 22:45Speaker 2: people bring up the Big Three, I think it's like
- 22:47Speaker 2: you whiz Kid and burna Boy.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Yeah, definitely know, like definitely away especially like do you
- 22:55Speaker 1: have some once you remember when I told you that
- 22:58Speaker 1: I was like an out, I was on out that
- 23:00Speaker 1: I'm looking in when I went for December and I
- 23:02Speaker 1: saw that, you know, in the artist everybody was like
- 23:05Speaker 1: in one section and I'm just looking like I gotta
- 23:09Speaker 1: get into this. I gotta get in the mix. But
- 23:12Speaker 1: I also like came with like a vision. Do you understand?
- 23:16Speaker 1: And I feel like that's what helped me solidify my
- 23:20Speaker 1: place in afrobeats.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Came with the vision, I knew what I wanted. Do
- 23:24Speaker 3: you understand?
- 23:25Speaker 1: I'm a producer as well, so with the production, I
- 23:29Speaker 1: already knew how I want everything to sound.
- 23:32Speaker 3: Do you understand?
- 23:33Speaker 1: And from there and then you know, shout out to
- 23:36Speaker 1: my pops. You know what I'm saying, he shot my
- 23:39Speaker 1: first video.
- 23:39Speaker 2: Your dad shot your first video. Paid for it. I
- 23:42Speaker 2: was about to say, your dad is talented, he's got
- 23:44Speaker 2: a doctorate, he's out here shooting videos.
- 23:46Speaker 3: And so he shot my first video.
- 23:47Speaker 1: So you know, from then I kind of like, you know, God,
- 23:51Speaker 1: you know, okay, you know, continue the journey and you know,
- 23:55Speaker 1: coming out here it was very puzzling for me. So
- 24:00Speaker 1: came out here, and you know, especially for one when
- 24:03Speaker 1: I did my first tour, I used to live in America.
- 24:05Speaker 3: Yeah, so it was very futile for me to figure out.
- 24:10Speaker 3: I know that what gets to be listening? How do
- 24:13Speaker 3: we do?
- 24:13Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, Like it's already popping in
- 24:15Speaker 1: the clubs, and then before you know it, a major
- 24:18Speaker 1: label hit me up, Boom Sony. You know what I'm saying.
- 24:23Speaker 1: And this is I've been doing music already for like
- 24:26Speaker 1: seven years, right, you know what I'm saying. I'm talking
- 24:28Speaker 1: about we like we like sixty records in at this time. Wow,
- 24:33Speaker 1: sixty records in. But the old records is just start
- 24:36Speaker 1: to catch, starting to catch. Yes, I feel like that's
- 24:39Speaker 1: what it's been happening with a lot of It was
- 24:40Speaker 1: very difficult for us, you know, artists, because we're so
- 24:46Speaker 1: we're so comfortable already, you know what I'm saying. At
- 24:48Speaker 1: that time, I was already making at least one hundred
- 24:51Speaker 1: and fifty two hundred thousand dollars a show, and then
- 24:53Speaker 1: we have like that's death and then we already setting
- 24:57Speaker 1: out stadiums, you know what I'm saying, thousand people, and
- 25:01Speaker 1: then you know there's the all that syde of things.
- 25:03Speaker 1: But you want to move music to the culture to
- 25:05Speaker 1: push you come out here and the money they're saying, No,
- 25:09Speaker 1: definitely no. Nowadays it is now. Yeah, but like back then,
- 25:12Speaker 1: like you got kind of stop from scratch again. Definitely
- 25:14Speaker 1: not like my first show. My first show I think
- 25:17Speaker 1: was New York was like Urban Plaza, I think something
- 25:20Speaker 1: like that.
- 25:20Speaker 2: It was like a thousand people I'm used to doing
- 25:24Speaker 2: like fifty.
- 25:24Speaker 3: Yeah, but there.
- 25:26Speaker 1: But you know that's how, you know, spreading the music,
- 25:28Speaker 1: waking up for interviews, like you know what I'm saying,
- 25:31Speaker 1: doing promo. So you know, when the major labels got
- 25:35Speaker 1: involved in Aprobets, I felt like we had the music,
- 25:38Speaker 1: but we didn't have the structure.
- 25:39Speaker 3: Right, you know what I'm saying.
- 25:40Speaker 1: Now, you know there's a little bit of structure all
- 25:42Speaker 1: the labels right now in Nigeria, do you understand?
- 25:45Speaker 2: So yeah, no, I know, like a shots, I got Gazi,
- 25:48Speaker 2: I think Empires doing a lot, yeah, a lot of artists, Sony,
- 25:52Speaker 2: a lot of artist under Sonya.
- 25:53Speaker 3: As well too.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. Who would you kind of consider to be
- 25:57Speaker 2: like Eurog's in this ship because I feel like we
- 25:59Speaker 2: always hear about you burna Boy and whiz K, but
- 26:01Speaker 2: there's a whole generation of guy's prior to you guys
- 26:03Speaker 2: that kind of let the groundwork.
- 26:05Speaker 1: I think definitely the bunch you know, that's one of
- 26:07Speaker 1: the artists I saw. I told you du Bane Too Face.
- 26:11Speaker 1: So the Big three then was the Bane Tooth Face
- 26:15Speaker 1: and it's a group it's twins called p Square, So
- 26:18Speaker 1: that was those were like r ogs, you know. Then
- 26:21Speaker 1: those are the people that made me say it's possible
- 26:24Speaker 1: doing this. Yeah, I'm doing this.
- 26:26Speaker 2: You also have kind of became one of like the
- 26:28Speaker 2: main guys that like hip hop artists will tap into
- 26:30Speaker 2: if they universe or the hook. I mean you guys
- 26:32Speaker 2: like fabulous and go on and on. Who are some
- 26:35Speaker 2: of the well, first of all, being as a guy
- 26:37Speaker 2: who went to college here, was born in Atlanta, has
- 26:40Speaker 2: there been a hip hop artist you've worked with where
- 26:42Speaker 2: you were like, damn, that's crazy.
- 26:43Speaker 3: I got a record with this guy like this. Definitely,
- 26:48Speaker 3: definitely it should be.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Oh I think, well, I mean I have a lot
- 26:51Speaker 1: of you know, records I didn't have with me, but
- 26:54Speaker 1: one of the records I was like, yo, it was
- 26:56Speaker 1: Nobs when I got that NOAs versus and Hip Boys
- 27:00Speaker 1: video like those one of the moments because my brother.
- 27:02Speaker 2: You guys met him a head boy.
- 27:04Speaker 3: Yeah, he just came in the room.
- 27:06Speaker 1: Was not what he was like.
- 27:08Speaker 3: Yeah, man, like he likes African.
- 27:10Speaker 1: I was like, oh, thank you, thank you, thank you
- 27:12Speaker 1: what you're working on and he just laid the verse
- 27:14Speaker 1: and me and my boys just looking because that was
- 27:16Speaker 1: special to me because my oldest brother Nick, he was
- 27:19Speaker 1: a big nos fun like that Illmatic album still Man,
- 27:23Speaker 1: still Madic of course the album when he was young.
- 27:26Speaker 2: His face right there, it's behind that box.
- 27:29Speaker 3: Oh that's crazy. So that was like crazy to me.
- 27:33Speaker 1: And then obviously like with Thug, you know baby, oh
- 27:37Speaker 1: that was real dope, and know we connect the vibe.
- 27:40Speaker 2: You know, you ended up connecting and like really vibing
- 27:43Speaker 2: with Doug.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Yes, oh like not even on music tip. You know
- 27:47Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Thug is, Thug is a great guy.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Man actually met a Little Baby through Thug before Little
- 27:53Speaker 1: Baby even dropped a record.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Oh really back in the day, people don't understand like
- 27:57Speaker 2: young Thug and Gucci are like two of the best
- 28:00Speaker 2: an rs ever. They just always have like just talent
- 28:03Speaker 2: around them.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Like and we all will all be in the studio,
- 28:06Speaker 1: and you know when you're like in the studio and
- 28:08Speaker 1: everybody's like clean day music, everybody passing the ARX squad.
- 28:12Speaker 1: When I put play Monk I always loved it, so
- 28:15Speaker 1: I always need that. Man, this Jodre is it's gonna go.

- 30:48Speaker 3: Yes?
- 30:48Speaker 2: Because I heard his process is pretty crazy.
- 30:51Speaker 3: Yeah, he thug duty, But baby, I said, I said, baby,
- 30:55Speaker 3: just all.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Because like this Doug going right now and down right.
- 30:58Speaker 2: It's just does he lay the he lays He lays
- 31:01Speaker 2: the melody first and then punches in.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Or then go back, punch in, go back, through the melody.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Then you know, you get the words that you recorded.
- 31:10Speaker 1: You know, I kind of record the same way too.
- 31:12Speaker 2: So you're you're kind of similar with Joe, like melody
- 31:15Speaker 2: down and then feeling the lyrics melody and then feeling
- 31:17Speaker 2: the lyrics. Yeah, you used to be an engineer. Yeah,
- 31:21Speaker 2: which way do you prefer to record an artist? Because
- 31:24Speaker 2: I do know some engineers to get frustrated. Yeah, you
- 31:26Speaker 2: touch me in back back back back, No right there.
- 31:28Speaker 1: To me and pu me in think about me. You
- 31:30Speaker 1: gotta be quick because I get anxiety when you know.
- 31:33Speaker 2: When if you have an engineer recording you, they got
- 31:35Speaker 2: to be fast.
- 31:36Speaker 3: Yeah, you have to be very very quick.
- 31:38Speaker 1: And I don't sleep, So it's like you gotta be quick, quick, quick,
- 31:41Speaker 1: because you know the way you want to, you know,
- 31:43Speaker 1: lay down an idea. You know, first of all, you
- 31:45Speaker 1: don't want to lose it, right because sometimes it never
- 31:47Speaker 1: comes back, you know what I'm saying. So I like
- 31:49Speaker 1: to be kind of quick.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Yeah for you. How much how much like of your
- 31:54Speaker 2: own production are you doing these days?
- 31:56Speaker 1: No?
- 31:57Speaker 2: None?
- 31:57Speaker 1: Yeah recently, but with this last album, I like I
- 32:02Speaker 1: supervisor production what I'm said, But I'm as hands on
- 32:06Speaker 1: us you know, I.
- 32:07Speaker 2: Was, you know, years back, what it's like for you
- 32:11Speaker 2: give me two or three artists that are on the
- 32:12Speaker 2: come up right now that we should be checking out
- 32:13Speaker 2: in the States.
- 32:14Speaker 1: African African h I was talking about they big lad
- 32:19Speaker 1: see what he's here on the come up?
- 32:21Speaker 2: Maybe here here, definitely.
- 32:24Speaker 3: He's he's hot right now going crazy.
- 32:27Speaker 2: Rema Rama's got a smash number the highest, yeah, the
- 32:32Speaker 2: highest ever number one song right now. It's Rhythm radio
- 32:35Speaker 2: in Selina.
- 32:36Speaker 3: It's crazy care Redma bou Ju.
- 32:41Speaker 2: I've heard. I've heard of Rama, who's on the remix
- 32:44Speaker 2: of that song.
- 32:46Speaker 3: Boojus.
- 32:47Speaker 1: You know, at least kih kids down here. A lot
- 32:54Speaker 1: of people, man, I can I can name one hundred females.
- 32:57Speaker 1: You know, we got Thames, we got Iron Star Savage,
- 33:01Speaker 1: So yeah, we're doing great.
- 33:02Speaker 2: Do you ever like see American artists trying to do
- 33:06Speaker 2: what you guys do and it comes I've seen a
- 33:09Speaker 2: lot of guys do it and it's very corny. But
- 33:11Speaker 2: do you ever like feel like like it's a little
- 33:15Speaker 2: kind of appropriating like y'all's vibe, because it does feel
- 33:17Speaker 2: like I've seen I mean, I don't want to say names.
- 33:19Speaker 2: There's been a few guys with like just blatantly just
- 33:22Speaker 2: I mean, like they don't care about the culture, and
- 33:24Speaker 2: it's like, this is the sound, let me make the song,
- 33:26Speaker 2: you know what I mean.
- 33:27Speaker 1: I don't feel like offended by it, like because I'm
- 33:29Speaker 1: from both worlds, right, But it'd be like kind of
- 33:31Speaker 1: weird when when we have like a session and like
- 33:35Speaker 1: and they come and they're like, yo, can you make
- 33:37Speaker 1: it sound like that? I'm like, what you talking about? Like,
- 33:40Speaker 1: can you make it sound like this? Okay, you you've
- 33:42Speaker 1: had that happen.
- 33:43Speaker 3: Yeah, plenty of times.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Do you like cool loo guy to the side, They're like,
- 33:46Speaker 2: hey man, you got to a little appreciate what we're
- 33:49Speaker 2: doing here a little bit. Let's say some microwavableshit. Yeah,
- 33:52Speaker 2: And then I'm just happy, like the night not even
- 33:55Speaker 2: take it's changing.
- 33:56Speaker 1: And I've been in the studio, I've worked with so
- 33:58Speaker 1: many people and then and you know what I'm saying,
- 34:01Speaker 1: Like before it was like a thing to have like
- 34:04Speaker 1: American artists on your record, it'd.
- 34:06Speaker 2: Be like a big deal, a big deal. Now it's
- 34:08Speaker 2: kind of for it.
- 34:10Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 34:11Speaker 1: I don't mention names, but you know what I'm saying,
- 34:13Speaker 1: you can be in the studio vibing out with somebody,
- 34:15Speaker 1: somebody do it verse the next day they send.
- 34:17Speaker 3: You papers and boys, we're boys that you know in
- 34:22Speaker 3: the video, you gotta do that too, and you feel.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Like it's the other way around.
- 34:26Speaker 3: Now, what's up? I'm charging now? Yeah, what you need,
- 34:29Speaker 3: I'm charging now.
- 34:30Speaker 2: I'm saying my lawyers, what's the feature costing? Right now?
- 34:35Speaker 3: It's timeless, six figures hundred hundred.
- 34:39Speaker 2: If I know you, If I know you, that's the price.
- 34:42Speaker 3: If I know your hundred and that's not bad. And
- 34:44Speaker 3: then the video and then.
- 34:45Speaker 2: The video costs. That's one thing, you know, Like there's
- 34:48Speaker 2: a few guys who like I feel like, to.
- 34:49Speaker 1: Be honest, if I know that, if you do a
- 34:51Speaker 1: record and I know that you're gonna push it to
- 34:53Speaker 1: the fullest, to the fullest, and you're an artist that
- 34:56Speaker 1: I enjoy.
- 34:57Speaker 2: Like you're a fan of somebody.
- 34:58Speaker 1: I'm a fan like me and Chris be time we
- 35:00Speaker 1: get in the studio, like, I'm happy, you know what
- 35:03Speaker 1: I'm saying, Because Chris is doing a video with you,
- 35:06Speaker 1: Chris is bring you out on tour.
- 35:08Speaker 2: Chris is thinking of ideas, and he's also like our
- 35:11Speaker 2: our Michael Jackson. Yes, like I think Chris Brown's like
- 35:14Speaker 2: he's an alien for you, because I do. I do
- 35:17Speaker 2: feel like there has been a few artists who have
- 35:19Speaker 2: kind of like embraced Like I know when Castanova Free
- 35:21Speaker 2: Castanova came with to Nightgery video felt like he just died.
- 35:25Speaker 3: Little Baby cames out. He stayed in my house when
- 35:27Speaker 3: he came to a little Baby Baby was at the crib.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Yeah, he said, as the Migos came out there a
- 35:32Speaker 1: lot of people come out there for shows.
- 35:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm curious, like is the breaking in an artist process?
- 35:38Speaker 2: How much different is it than here? Because here it's
- 35:40Speaker 2: like obviously there's TikTok now, but you know, traditionally in
- 35:43Speaker 2: hip hop you would want to maybe catch a wave
- 35:45Speaker 2: in a strip club first, or you know there might
- 35:48Speaker 2: be no from.
- 35:50Speaker 1: Like my generation on me was like that's really like
- 35:53Speaker 1: putting out like a thousand CDs go around and club.
- 35:57Speaker 3: But now, like, shit is different.
- 36:00Speaker 1: You can be sitting somewhere in the village, you drop
- 36:03Speaker 1: a record once one thing goes viral and you you
- 36:06Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. So stuff is different now, Like
- 36:08Speaker 1: even when we're in the studio, now we're thinking like
- 36:11Speaker 1: how can we make a challenge to this song.
- 36:12Speaker 2: Like how we get the ship popping on TikTok and
- 36:15Speaker 2: then out there's Audio Max really big.
- 36:17Speaker 1: I think Audio Mac Yeah, because you know it's easy
- 36:19Speaker 1: to It's easier, it's like subscribe, you know what I'm saying.
- 36:21Speaker 1: But recently started fy Nigeria. He comes to Night Gena
- 36:25Speaker 1: and that's helped.
- 36:26Speaker 3: A lot too.
- 36:27Speaker 2: Who would you want to do a collab project with
- 36:29Speaker 2: from the States? If you could do a collab album
- 36:31Speaker 2: with anybody?
- 36:32Speaker 1: Definitely Chris. That'd be crazy. Definitely Chris. Me and Chris
- 36:36Speaker 1: got like ten songs like people ain't heard.
- 36:38Speaker 2: Ten that are just on a hard drive. Yeah, have
- 36:41Speaker 2: you guys talked about doing that? He did a thug album.
- 36:43Speaker 1: Definitely, Definitely. I go to his house after here too.
- 36:46Speaker 1: But yeah, me and Chris definitely, you know what I'm saying.
- 36:49Speaker 1: I was even meant to go on toll him.
- 36:51Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying. But we're gonna do a
- 36:52Speaker 3: lot together. Who else?
- 36:55Speaker 2: I do a record with Scissa, She's.
- 36:58Speaker 3: Really really dope for Bad Bunny too.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Man.
- 37:02Speaker 2: There is such a correlation between like reggaetone and afrobeats
- 37:07Speaker 2: because one it's just great dancing music, and I feel
- 37:10Speaker 2: like BPM wise like BPM wise, they match up so
- 37:14Speaker 2: well if you're DJing in the club. Have you done
- 37:16Speaker 2: like any shows with any like any like big reggaeton
- 37:19Speaker 2: artists anywhere? No?
- 37:22Speaker 1: Not really, but I had to showing Puerto Rico though, Yeah,
- 37:25Speaker 1: crazy crazy. I remember on the flight down maxim Names,
- 37:29Speaker 1: I was like, you sure it's going to be yo?
- 37:31Speaker 2: What it was like?
- 37:31Speaker 3: Twenty thousand people in Puerto Rico?
- 37:34Speaker 2: Yeah, Puerto Rico.
- 37:36Speaker 3: We've had Mexico reach out to. But I love performing
- 37:41Speaker 3: in the islands.
- 37:43Speaker 2: What's your favorite place to perform so far?
- 37:45Speaker 1: So far?
- 37:45Speaker 3: That was real dope, I'll say the Bahamas.
- 37:49Speaker 2: The Bahamas. Do you ever go to that crazy resort
- 37:52Speaker 2: they got there, the Atlantis resort that I obways see
- 37:54Speaker 2: it on the line.
- 37:54Speaker 3: We would like in and out, in and out records,
- 37:57Speaker 3: in and out records.
- 37:58Speaker 2: Well, look, man, the new album's out right now.
- 38:00Speaker 3: Timeless, you know what I'm saying, going crazy?
- 38:04Speaker 2: Anything else on the way.
- 38:06Speaker 3: Definitely be going on tour in July. If you can't everywhere, Nah,
- 38:10Speaker 3: we do. We spliting it up, so we do.
- 38:12Speaker 2: I want to see I want to go to it.
- 38:13Speaker 2: I want to go to a show that's not the
- 38:15Speaker 2: United States. I want to go to like, so come
- 38:17Speaker 2: to come to Nigeria. I gotta go to Nigeria. Puerto Rico, Rob,
- 38:21Speaker 2: are we going to Nigeria.
- 38:23Speaker 3: We're gonna get to December, December, December, let's go.
- 38:28Speaker 1: So the best time to come definitely, you know in December,
- 38:31Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. She also visit Ghana too,
- 38:34Speaker 1: and I.
- 38:34Speaker 2: Heard Ghana is amazing.
- 38:36Speaker 3: So Nigeria is like New York and Ghana is like
- 38:39Speaker 3: La Like okay, calmer.
- 38:42Speaker 2: So Nigeria is like fast paced, bro, you gotta.
- 38:45Speaker 1: Be shopped if you can't, so wife, in Nigeria, you
- 38:47Speaker 1: con sof anywhere.
- 38:49Speaker 2: Ghana is more relaxed.
- 38:51Speaker 3: Yeah, kickback, you want to.
- 38:53Speaker 2: Don't kick back too much in La though, they'll rob
- 38:55Speaker 2: your ass out, I know, do you guys? Listen? Dude,
- 38:59Speaker 2: Africans claim Elon Musk because he is South African. I'm
- 39:03Speaker 2: just wondering, is it he's from Yeah, but.
- 39:07Speaker 3: That's crazy. He's got like kind of like South Africa.
- 39:10Speaker 1: I love you know Caucasians are down there, you know
- 39:13Speaker 1: what I'm saying, because you know they stayed after It's dope.
- 39:16Speaker 1: South Africa southever it looks like la It's like beautiful, Like.
- 39:21Speaker 2: Yeah, isn't it like very still kind of like separated
- 39:26Speaker 2: and like a lot of the social issues. Yeah, like
- 39:28Speaker 2: there's some yeah everywhere, some Jim Crow type ship there.
- 39:32Speaker 1: They're like two languages. I know, there's like a one
- 39:34Speaker 1: language called Afrikaans, and like it's weird, like I think,
- 39:38Speaker 1: I'm not sure it's not one hundred percent, but I
- 39:40Speaker 1: think like the black people don't speak that.
- 39:42Speaker 2: That's wow. Man, Well listen, I appreciate you pulling up.
- 39:44Speaker 2: You're definitely a legend.
